Ok i just now found the Wind's Track AU and would like you to consider the following:

Zelda: "Oh for the love of Tetra..."

Wind: "Wait, how do you know my wife/girlfriend/friend/*insert relationship status here*?!

This actually gives me quite a bit to unpack. (So this will be long.)

While Wind might do a double take at the sound of Tetra’s name, I think he would know immediately that Zelda is Tetra’s descendant. Zelda’s the princess, and Wind helped Tetra create the kingdom. He knows Tetra was queen during her lifetime.

Wind can connect the dots pretty easily.

In fact, I think Zelda would be in for a bigger surprise than Wind would. When she finds out that this spirit that has apparently been with the newest royal engineer (who can see spirits when almost no one else can by the way) his whole life is actually the famous Hero of Winds, she’s gonna flip out.

I think Wind loves getting to share stories of Tetra with her. They definitely bond over it.

Now for the relationship…

Gonna be honest, I was kinda dreading the day someone brought up the topic of ships in this AU, but I knew it was inevitable. Please don’t take this as you having done something wrong. I promise you didn’t! I’m just using this for the opportunity it is.

Let me preface this by saying that I LOVE Telink and Zelink. I love every iteration of them. They are my OTP. WW/PH Telink/Zelink and ST Zelink are no exceptions. I LOVE THEM. In fact, they are both some of my favorite iterations of the ship.

That said, ships get tricky within the context of this au. The thought of both ships happening in this AU doesn’t really sit right with me.

Even if they are not actually related, Wind and Spirit both view each other as brothers. If Wind were to have been in a romantic relationship with Tetra and had a family that eventually led to ST Zelda, then that means Wind has a familial bond with both Spirit and Zelda. If Spirit and Zelda then had a romantic relationship… It just feels icky to me. Y’know?

That said, the question then lies: Which ship do I go with? I can have one, but I don’t like the idea of doing both within this context.

I debated this question for a while, and ultimately decided that I wanted to keep the Spirit Tracks one. Honestly, I love how Spirit is smitten immediately. The first time he sees her in the game, he is noticeably blushing and just can’t look away. That is just one of multiple moments like this in this game. I just think their relationship is such a special part of Spirit Tracks, and I want to keep it.

Plus, I can’t resist the idea of Wind teasing his little brother for having a crush.

That said, Wind and Tetra are best friends in this AU, nothing more. They are both very important to each other, but there were not any romantic feelings involved. Honestly, in the context of this AU, I do not see Wind being romantically involved with anyone.

I will never be able to explain exactly why I ship them, because I've had them as an OTP for so long that they’re just stuck in my brain. I probably wouldn't ship them if I hadn't started when I was thirteen and looking to ship Kazumi with someone—but then again, they work to understand each other better, she’s the only one who makes him smile, she’s implied to be his motivation to keep fighting for a better world, she surprises him, he is the only character in the series who gets her, she’s the only one he opens up to at all, he dies protecting her, they get a significant goodbye scene, he’s looking at her instead of anyone else present as he dies, she’s the main character with the saddest ending but keeps going strong just like he said she would . . . so like, maybe I would.

Yuji x Shana(Shanji)

They’re the main ship in the series, so if you like the series I probably don’t have to explain it. But Yuji gives Shana her humanity back, helps her access her emotions, and gives her companionship. Meanwhile, he falls in love with her so deeply that he becomes a strong fighter, turns the entire world upside-down for her, and decides to wander eternally without her just trying to atone for betraying her trust. Then Shana refuses to let him be alone, and they get their happy ending!

Keisaku Satou x Margery Daw (Keigery)

They have this slow-build dynamic, which eventually grows into romantic dedication. It starts when he’s one her lackeys who have a crush on her, and ends with them being emotional equals. He becomes dedicated to helping her, and she manages to hang on to life past her life purpose falling apart explicitly because of her feelings for him. It’s SO CUTE!

Hey, I'm first watching that 90s show but am very confused by who you like and ship! Like you keep saying you're "anti" leia and nate but then saying they're your otp? And one day you want a jeia endgame but then you want a neia endgame but then you want a jikki endgame or a gweia endgame but you also want a gwkki endgame? Also ED was your otp for so long and then you just decided you hate them even though we didn't get any new scenes with them? And you say you're in the donna defense squad but seem to hate her most of the time? Maybe some of what seems contradictory to me is just multishipping and being more into one pairing on Monday and a rival pairing on Tuesday? I want to start following and posting That 90s Show, including yours, but I'm just very confused. I need a neck brace to follow your train of thoughts because you'll say one thing and then the total opposite and it's giving me whiplash!

1. My opinions change a lot, or I just get more passionate about them or they stay consistent lol.

2. I’m not anti Leia and anti Nate exactly. I do love both characters and them as a ship, but I also don’t condone how they treated Nikki and Jay and I’m not afraid to call that out. Hence the anti posts. I’m just mad at them, but I don’t hate them at all.

3. Also not exactly true. I can want more than one endgame. I’ve even said several times that I would love if the show went the riverdale route, but I don’t know if that’s going to happen. Hyperfixations change for me and I can want different endgames.

4. Once again, not true in the slightest. ED was my otp and now they still are, but only in the first two seasons. After that is where that status goes down, from season 3 and beyond. I still have love for their scenes, but there is a power imbalance that I just can’t overlook and given what I’ve seen of them in T9S season 1, that doesn’t seem to be changing anytime soon. Maybe I’ll be wrong, but also given the pattern for several seasons in T7S and even as late as season 1 of T9S, I just can’t with them. They have cute moments though.

5. I don’t hate Donna. I actually love her, but to me, her relationship with Eric makes her unlikable. Especially in the later seasons, she propped as this goddess and Eric is apparently “lucky” to be with her. Me calling out Donna having the upper hand in her relationship with Eric ≠ hating her character.

6. It’s the former. I am a huge multishipper and have been for a long time.

grimora for the ask game !!

Favorite thing about them: I feel like this is cheating because it’s so niche but I love the skeleton hand that rings the bell in the Finale (honestly Grimora’s whole aesthetic in the finale is phenomenal but if I had to narrow it down to one detail it would be that). Also a very small detail but I like how in her idle animations her hands are always folded over her abdomen; reminds me of the way people are laid to rest in coffins and really cements her undead status for me.

Least favorite thing about them: I wish she had some/more lines talking about her subordinates. We really don’t get to know much about how she feels about them which is sad. (I’d say the whole “killing everyone” thing too but… I don’t completely blame her on that one—similar to the other Scrybes’ Batshit Machinations, I can see why she felt like she needed to do it. Not to mention she didn’t technically succeed so I’ll give her a pass (I say that jokingly but holy shit did it catch me off-guard in my first playthrough))

Favorite line: This bit in her boss fight. Absolutely insane mechanic (just killing all of your cards but instead of the PG “turn them into gold” she just casually hands you back their lifeless bodies. Also pretty good foreshadowing in hindsight).

brOTP: I’ve seen a couple of works where Grimora has Royal as her right-hand man and they both get to be pirates together and you guys are absolutely correct. They should get to explore the high seas (or at very least I’d like to imagine Royal spins a lot of tales about his time when he was alive—a lot of which are pretty exaggerated—and she listens and makes sure to write them down regardless).

OTP: Her and any/all of the other Scrybes. She deserves better but the other three immortal shitheads she has to share an archipelago with will have to suffice. I’d say they’re all divorced but that’s probably putting it too simply. It’s more accurate to say they’re all fighting to see who’s the best at inventing a brand new type of complicated relationship. They’re all winning.

(I’ve also seen her paired off with the Woodcarver—not my thing personally, but I think it’s cute)

nOTP: Haven’t seen any Grimora ships that I don’t like honestly. But again I’m not super into shipping so that might be part of why this category has been blank the past couple of times—I’m not seeing many ships so there’s not any for me to report on.

Random headcanon: The dead can’t really “sleep” (and don’t really need to)—they just sort of “fall prone” into a state where they don’t really rest and don’t dream. As a result, a “sleeping” Grimora just looks like a corpse… more like a corpse than usual, anyway (she already rarely breathes and her heartbeat is so slow the event sometimes surprises her, but you know, completely lifeless). This would be disconcerting for the other Scrybes if not for her other far more concerning physiological traits. Like the first time she came to a meeting with her head in her hands—literally—and a needle and thread to sew it back on while the others talked. Not much got done that day.

Unpopular opinion: As much as I wish she did get more screentime I can see why that wasn’t really possible. Inscryption is already a pretty long game as-is, adding a whole card segment for Grimora—while it would be fun DLC—isn’t really feasible in the base game. Having said that, I do still wish we got to know a little more about her, even if it was just via some lines from her subordinates.

Song I associate with them: My knee-jerk is Necromancin Dancin by Bear Ghost just because it’s a batshit ridiculous villain song about the undead (she deserves to be a little more unhinged than how she gets portrayed by a lot of people; just look at the other Scrybes), but for something a little more fittingly melancholic I’d go for Grave Digger by Blues Sarcaceno or Dance While the Sky Crashes Down by Jason Webley.

Salvadore had already struggled a while with an inability of getting this insolent count out of his head and a weird, hard-to-place pain at the thought of him leaving. He fully realized that he was hopelessly in love with him during not-a-date when Daeran let his masks down – and for the very first time deliberately instead of only giving glimpses of the man behind the barbed comments and proudly worn cynism. There was no doubt for him anymore at his point, but Salvadore got confronted with a new level of intensity regarding his own feelings during the moment in the Nexus when Daeran had gathered stones to stage a dinner with them. He seemed so vulnerable and lost, Salvadore knew for sure he would do anything to gain his trust, keep him at his side, and protect him from any harm. For Daeran the full realization hit in the Abyss. Afraid of allowing the intensity of those feelings and where they could lead in the worst of cases, he still started to give them room in his mind as well instead of only having them linger underneath the surface in an attempt to disguise them as mere passion. 10. What are some non-sexual activities they do together? The long, but definitely incomplete list is here. 28. Do they get along with each other’s friends and family? You want to know about the family drama, I see. 😁💕 They both are terrible at making friends and have been even more so in the past. The people from their lives before the Crusade that are important enough for them to still be in contact with are still kept at distance and they meet some of them at parties and during events in Drezen, Nerosyan and Absalom sometimes. Nothing of it has enough meaning for them to be worth mentioning in detail. One of the few people reaching a deep friendship status with them actually managed it with both: Woljif! So, they basically share their best friend, or well, Sal has two, but we all know if / how well Daeran gets along with Regill. 😂 Regarding future friends, I’m pretty sure both of them will be open-minded and supportive regarding whoever the other one views as worthy and causes him to let his guard down, each knowing that the other one is careful with trusting and that it takes a lot to get there. Family … well … That’s a different topic. Salvadore spent much time in front of the painting of Daeran’s mom, wishing intensely he could have met her. Daeran always gets in a gloomy mood when he catches him staring at it again and tries to drag him towards other topics and activities while Salvadore may try to talk to him about her. In sentimental moods Daeran allows it, in most though he blocks the attempt. Salvadore’s relationship with Galfrey was … complicated beyond compare. He harshly criticized and judged her for her shortcomings while he also saw strength in her, an intense sense of duty, ambition, a love for her position as leader, and some other abilities reminding him of himself. With his own growing power – among the nobles in Nerosyan too – and the strong admiration of the people after his accomplishments and radiant reputation as Iomedae’s chosen one, he realized that the throne of Mendev would be in his reach if it wasn’t for the fact that Galfrey still had very strong support as well. He played a game for power and influence against her, quite aware she knew it too. Daeran’s crush on her added a petty layer of jealousy of a different nature to it all. When she finally died in Iz – and Salvadore couldn’t help but wonder if it had been a deliberate decision of his, a secret hope it would come to this if he’d aid her last – he didn’t feel any victory, but only shame instead, intensified by Daeran’s quiet suffering. Daeran and Salvadore’s family is a combination even more explosive … Salvadore himself has problems keeping things civil during meetings. They can’t touch him in his position as commander and no one of them would be nearly powerful enough to harm him in the state he reached, but they attempt to use his influence in their favor, pretending he owes them that much. Salvadore blocks those efforts but has to find compromises here and there because he still is interested in Absalom’s political situation. Daeran shows much less interest in diplomatic solutions in this very regard. Especially with Sal’s father and his cousin Hemera, it comes to sharp debates as soon as they meet. They all are intelligent, merciless, and conceited and don’t draw back. If Sal joins the discussion too the heated trade of barbs can go on for quite some time and end with threats of quite an unpleasant nature. While Salvadore would prefer not to think about it further as soon as he’s rid of them again and to focus on more important issues, Daeran lets him know that he (Salvadore) would not allow anyone else to speak with him like that without destroying first their reputation, then their whole life. He gets a pained look for it. Daeran may start plotting against Sal’s family behind his back sooner or later. If Salvadore finds out, he won’t stop him unless his plan contradicts one of his own and unless it involves his mother. She is the only one out of the bunch he’d actually protect. Speaking of her, Eleanor, stays out of it all or as best as she can. When Daeran tries to hit her with a commend too, she smiles her calm smile, maybe even answers with a compliment instead of an insult in return. (She secretly likes his son’s husband and is glad he found him, just, as usual, incapable of truly showing so.) 30.  What is their favorite place to kiss the other? (Cheek, hand, closed eyelid, neck, nose, etc.) Salvadore loves to kiss Daeran’s hands: Above the knuckles in devotion, his fingertips or palm. It’s always a gesture of worship, sometimes playful and light, sometimes with almost heavy sincerity. In a submissive mood, Salvadore may kiss the top of his foot. It’s always a delight to find his most sensitive places to kiss. He enjoys to caresses his belly and inner thighs with his mouth for a small eternity until he struggles underneath his ministrations. The skin is so soft and responsive there. When he kisses his wrist, he has to be careful and needs to gather his self-control. It often becomes terribly tempting to sink his fangs into those veins. I know it’s been a minute. Sooooo to cope with TR ending I’m currently reading Lore Olympus and I’m obsessed. Already halfway through and I just started yesterday 💀💀. Ok, to make up for the trollish ask and since someone asked for Alm already, how about a Celica character breakdown?😂

Haha, I told you, it was still fun 😂 But thank you! Celica deserves the world ;-; I'm pretty sure you knew most of my opinions already lol but it was nice chatting about her!

-How I feel about this character: Wonderful! Beautiful! Perfect! I’m glad she’s getting the attention from fans that she deserves, because canon really did do her dirty. It was so refreshing to have a war game protag who wasn’t advocating for war/violence. It was also cool to see a very religious character who wasn’t like… catholic asdfds… or sickly sweet about their position. She opted for the peaceful and religious solutions, but she was also willing to get her hands dirty: she’d fight injustice when needed, she’d team up with pirates and mercenaries, she’d be on the front lines sacrificing literally everything to protect her people. She really exemplified what a true ruler should be, while being a normal and goofy girl who likes cats and jokes on occasion :) I’m sad that her path ended up written as the “wrong” one that “failed” when she was turned into a witch, because I think hers was equally – if not more ��� effective than the Deliverance’s plan!

-All the people I ship romantically with this character: As I mentioned on the Alm post, I actually do like the canon ship between the two of them! Some of the writing is a bit wonky, but I see what they were going for and I think it’s really sweet. I also like the idea of her and Faye, the childhood friend crush (unbeknownst to Faye for a while) into reuniting during/after the war is so nice. I think they’d be really good for each other, the perfect amount of gentleness and recklessness that the other needs. I definitely love things with her and Mae as well. Mae seems to understand Celica very well: she always knows what she needs, and refuses to take any shit, which is exactly the kind of partner a ruler like Celica would want. 

-My non-romantic OTP for this character: Also Faye or Mae – both would make a perfect partner in crime if not actual partner, haha! They both would care deeply for her, and Celica could take comfort that their friendship was true since they knew her long before her royal status was revealed. I haven’t thought of it as much as the others, but I also love the idea of Saber getting a bit of parental feelings towards her over the course of the game, and the two seeing each other as the family they never had. 

-My unpopular opinion about this character: Okay, so I actually really like that she was sacrificed as a witch. I know it sucks that every woman in the game gets kidnapped/killed/witched (remind me to link your graph lol), but I feel like for Celica specifically, it adds to her character. There’s always talk of sacrificing for the greater good, but Celica puts her money where her mouth is and really does it. She leaves no doubt that she was willing to undergo a canonically horrible fate, losing her life and soul and identity, in order to protect friends and strangers alike. It wasn’t naive or reckless – she was aware at how dire the situation was. She knew her god was dead, and her people doomed. What ruler wouldn’t make the calculated decision to give it one final shot? I genuinely enjoyed that for her – I just wish she could have gotten a bit more in-story recognition for it rather than treating it like a naive or a mistake…

-One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish she got as much closure as Alm :(( They both had equally developed characters, backstories, introductions, and plots – then the ending and epilogue focused entirely on Alm and just kind of left Celica hanging. We hear of Alm’s rise to the throne, but we don’t see anything about Celica’s future, despite knowing she’s the princess for longer than we knew about Alm’s identity... No shade on Alm lol, it was just so sad that they started on equal footing and she didn't get the same attention at the end :(

Gods Can Care, A Thanksgiving Reflection

One of the largest growing pains I had coming to polytheism was the idea that- as a favorite author mine has said- ‘the divine don’t care about your personal progress’. To an extent I do believe that to be true. Pan might enjoy your company, what you do for conservation, and your dedication; but he’s not your life coach. Many gods often do have higher priorities extending beyond one of your mortal incarnations. But that isn’t to say they’re always disinterested.  I almost feel like some people’s hard-line stance on this idea might come from an aversion to having your religion resemble a ‘Footprints’ poster. I’ll admit it, sometimes I’ve avoided certain spiritual ideas because they hit a little too close to my trauma.  But I finally got it through my skull- The idea that a divine being cares is not a Christian invention! It depends on the god, it depends on the nature of your relationship with them, when you met them and for what purpose- Despite their grander priorities, they can genuinely be invested in you.  I will, of course, be using Aphrodite as an example (a surprise I’m sure). As far back as the earliest myths, she’s seemingly always had an eye on the mortal world. Whether it meant bringing her human OTPs together, fucking a human man in broad daylight, presiding over the wedding of a statue she gave life to, showing up on a battlefield- She was a worldly goddess deeply embroiled in mortal affairs. I’d say she had many little human pet projects she tended to with interest. Then I have all the ways she’s moved in my life. She’s been a guiding hand in my art. She’s brought me and many others together. She’s been a tireless advocate for my self esteem. She’s told me time and time again to be confident, to be the flirty little bitch I’ve always wanted to be but too anxious for. Last week she told me I should never be afraid to try and act sexy- because there’s plenty of people that think I’m sexy already, so of course they’ll just find me more sexy if I act it! I struggled to rationalize these experiences of her with the philosophy that gods don’t care about your personal growth, but on further reflection it’s clear to me she wants me to be the best possible version of myself. And that shouldn’t be hard to believe- She is the goddess of love, beauty, lust, and self-care. Since I strive to be her priestess, it only makes sense she’d want me confident in myself. If I’m to be her hands on this earth, she’ll want to train me well! So today, this Thanksgiving, if you struggle with that like I did... Think about your relationship. Think about the reciprocity you have with your heavenly connections. And if they seem to favor you, take that with pride. Don’t be afraid to say they love you- especially if you love them. And as always, show them your gratitude for all they embody and all they do.  Give thanks, and may love find you <3

156! (Technically, 158, but two of them are in a fandom fest and will be anonymous for 2 or 3 more weeks I think). Also I want to mention that I don’t use ao3 for fics exclusively – actually I plan to slowly archive all my visual fanworks there as well!

2. What’s your total AO3 word count? 

280,716

3. What fandoms do you write for? 

Code Lyoko is my main fandom and has been for about 12-13 years, though I wrote my first fic for it a bit later, in 2014. Harry Potter is still my second largest by the works posted, but besides a long-standing WIP and fandom exchanges/requests here and there, I don’t touch this fandom anymore. Current second favorite is Stranger Things :) 

In general I have about 18 unique fandoms (without counting sequels/adaptations and original works) on my ao3 profile, but most of them have just a handful of works each.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

God my stats after fully moving to ao3 are fucking depressing xD Let’s not talk about it.

5. Do you respond to comments? 

Yes! It’s usually not a long conversation but I love to share details about my works if anybody asks questions.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? 

Angst is my second name xD Almost a third of my works on ao3 is tagged angst, so it’s hard to pick one, but I’ll mention this (technically untitled) oneshot (Code Lyoko, Odd/Aelita)

Usually I love angst and open endings but with this one it bothered me so much that I actually have plans for a sequel to give these characters some happy ending for god’s sake.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? 

… okay that’s even harder question. Let’s say this one (also Code Lyoko, also Odd/Aelita). Disregard that it starts from another pairing’s breakup

8. Do you get hate on fics? 

Not really? Nowadays I don’t even get that many comments (I hate the spambot that I get on ao3 all the time with passion), but even prior to that the most heated thing I’d see in my comment section is “your OC is a Maru Sue”. And they’d list the characteristics that another commenter mentioned as the reason they think the same OC is well-developed and not MS at all! To each their own, I guess

9. Do you write smut? 

I’ve published… five fics that have sexual content in one way or the other, and only one of them is explicit. Truly, I’m not good with something above erotica level. I do have plans to write more smut (for petty reasons) but these won’t see the light of day for a few month because I’m saving them for a fandom event

10. Do you write crossovers? 

I rarely get good plot ideas for crossovers (I gravitate towards AUs mostly). I’ve posted 2 (a oneshot and one neverending WIP)

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? 

A few times, yeah. One of my HP fics almost reached 3k likes on the website that was my main posting platform prior to ao3, so as you can imagine, at some point shit hit the fan. Also had one microfic (or microoriginal, to be precise) stolen as a fancy text for social media post. Luckily in each instance they were deleted quickly.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? 

Nope (at least nothing I know of, I have blanket permission on my profile), but I do translate fics myself :)

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? 

Not really. I have a shared setting/universe idea with my best friend, but we mostly wrote and drew our own separate things in it, our characters not interacting. I worked on co-translating multiple fics however.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? 

I guess Oddlita? I don’t usually have “OTPs” as in “the only ship I ship in a fandom”, but since it’s from my main fandom and they’ve been a favorite for over a decade, they kinda get this status. But I ship insane amount of other ships in this fandom (including the ones contradicting my favorite) xD

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

At one point I got a kick for a very specific poetry format and I decided to write parody/retelling of the original series in poems. I covered 3 episodes and never touched this thing again.

16. What are your writing strengths? 

I think I’m pretty good with making it sound poetic, playing with sentence length and structure (maybe that’s why I find writing fic in English so hard and limiting, idk).

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I’m so bad at plotting it’s not even funny xD For some reason my brain tends to create a single vague scene idea with no start and no end. I’m a chronic oneshot/vignette writer.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? 

It depends? If it’s a phrase or two – fine, great, no problem. Otherwise we are starting a footnotes hell (have you read fucking War and Peace? I did), unless you’re writing for an audience that for sure knows both languages well which is. Very specific. So for long dialogue I prefer to keep it in one language, maybe highlight in italics, and if it’s from a POV of a character who doesn’t speak the language, break up the dialogue with notes how POV character doesn’t understand what is going on.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Merlin BBC. Never finished that fic.

20. Favorite fics you’ve written? 

Why these questions are so hard xD I’d say this microfic (Code Lyoko, William/Yumi) because back when I originally posted it my readers thought it was smut from the first paragraph and just screamed at me in the comments xD idk I just remember that interaction so vividly it makes me cackle every time

Thank you for participating and yay for writing for me! I’ve always been super excited about every gift fic I have received, and I’m looking forward to the privilege of receiving the fic that you want to write.

That said, some guidelines on my preferences as a reader and some reasons why I chose the pairings in my request below.

I'm a Canes and Team Finland fan. That doesn't mean that I'd prefer you to write the Canes pairings or Finnish players in this exchange! Just a heads-up, when choosing side characters or secondary teams, please don't be too mean to my faves.

Likes: I like a mature, nuanced view on human nature, characters who have their flaws and shortcomings; characters with dubious morals but maybe sort of a good heart. I love good characterization and character dynamics, be it romance, porn or a gen fic studying personal development of an athlete in his sports career or group dynamics of a sports team.

As themes/tropes I like friends to lovers, fuckbuddies to lovers, enemies to lovers. I like my filth: scheming, pwp, Locker room gang bangs, Winner’s room. I love equal partners, but I also find status imbalances & age and size differences HOT.

Dislikes: a/b/o, mpreg, tentacles, body horror, gore, rule 63, suicide/self harm. I'm not into BDSM AU -- Dom/sub undertones, BDSM elements and kink in smut are very welcome but not the predestined dynamics universe stuff. I don’t want to see any mentions of Alexander Ovechkin. No slander of irl SO's or writing them as villains, but I’m OK with them existing in the story, even if it involves cheating the spouse with the ship partner. Fights aren't a huge turn-on for me.

If you're writing Finnish characters, please don't use google translated Finnish or phrases picked from a dictionary without consulting a native level speaker for beta help.

About AU:s: I like mundane, realistic AUs. I'm mostly into spy / politics / crime / war stories at the moment, and I like band AUs. No high fantasy, please. Some magical realism / supernatural elements are fine if they are what you like to write. Werevolves or vampires? Team vampires, definitely. (But you know what's WAY better: angels. I just might have a bit of a religious kink.)

Both of these songs are basically the madness that started it all so we all have problematic fav, Lana, to thank for the Dinarrón madness that’s taken my brain hostage and effectively turned me into a psy op for my otp whose sole purpose is to construct the world in which they plausibly exist and accumulate hapless converts to my cause Nothing lyrically especially screams Dinarrón so much as it is the vibes, although the “you fit me better than my favorite sweater and I know that love is mean, and love hurts. But I still remember that day we met in December, oh baby, I will love you till the end of time. I would wait a million years. As long as you remember that you’re mine” of Blue Jeans definitely reflects their relationship dynamic or rather the one that exists in my head. So, I actually have @narcolini to thank for this life ruining song bc even though Lana was the introduction, this was the song that really solidified the madness. Like I don’t know that I would’ve continued writing for them, were it not for this song bc I shit you not, it could’ve been written for the Movie In My Head for a lush, slo-mo montage of their most tender moments, as Dina’s reminiscing on the good times while she’s actively planning her wedding to Claudio. Aight, so the lyrics are sweet and romantic in a way that applies to most pairings, which means they don't speak to the Dinarrón Dynamic as much, but this song would be period-appropriate for the show and I just feel like Ramón insisted on there being a boombox in the office despite passionate protests by Mín, and everyone else who isn't filled to the brim with general anxiety and mild panic outvoted him, so now they have a boombox that's playing any time someone's there doing work. And this seems like something one of them would've played while working together at the warehouse.

Running Up That Hill - Kate Bush

This is a bit of a weird one? I guess it's less them and more Dina's POV about them. It's also contemporary the show and here's no way Dina's not into Kate Bush. I refuse to believe it. The best way I can explain why this made it on the playlist is by describing the scene in my head when I listen to it: Dina's standing at a window, looking out at the backyard of the Arellano house, contemplating the meaning of life. It's a rare cloudy day in TJ. She's newly engaged to Claudio (think early S3 long hair Dina but this would be set before S3 starts), Barrón has cried weeeweewee all the way back to the Imperial Desert to escape the crippling heartbreak of seeing her every day, knowing they'll never be together 'cause she's marrying an Actually Decent, If Not Boiler Plate dude with more status and money than he'll ever have train his dudes in the ways of paramilitary tactics, and their last convo ended somewhat tensely with him pointing out that in order to marry this guy, she'll probably have to give up any ambitions of serving the family biz in the way she always wanted bc of blahblahblah murrhsdlkjfs gEnDeR rOLeS. And right now, she's finding herself missing Barrón, wondering where he is, resenting herself for missing him and wondering where he is, resenting him for being right about giving up her ambitions, scared that him being right is going to make her resent Claudio over time and ruin their marriage, and just overall wishing he were there so she could make him understan, and what if the only way to do that is to switch places a la:

Another @narcolini pick, and this one has it all when it comes to Barrón internal strife and turmoil: questioning his sanity for being in the Business of Crimes, thinking bout how Dina's prob the only person he feels comfortable revealing himself to in any capacity except Bugsy, thinking about how that gives her way too much power over him and is tehrefore fucking terrifying, and daydreaming of making sweet, sweet love to the Woman of His Dreams. There's a few other songs on my list that rank as contenders for whatever would play in the end credits of the Dinarrón movie that's constantly playing on repeat in a projector in my brain, but this is the first one or maybe it'd be the end credits of an episode of an HBO miniseries? idk. what you guys think

Uhhhhhh, I can't even begin to unpack how close this song is to my heart in the Dinarrón pantheon, except to say that if I were to film the warehouse makeout scene that I wrote in Always Short to the Gate, this would be playing over it. Also, Léo RIP to a baddie dancing with Teresa in the Bolivia episode of Queen of the South polluted my mind and the sexy made it's way to Dinarrón so really, I can accept exactly no credit here

GODDDLSKDJF;LSKJD;LKAJ okay, this is another song that inspired an elaborate scenelet in my head, which takes place after they get together but before the brothers are aware of it, so they're keeping the relationship under wraps. And as a result, this song is playing while they're getting freaky on the dancefloor yes I have a thing with dancing and these two and I have no answers or explanations except that imsorryforeverything of some trendy nightlclub that the Arellanos don't own that's like 100 miles away from TJ that they escaped off to, so they could be an real couple aka all googly eyed and loveydovey in the open. It's basically their version of date-night that's gotta be date-night on the DL bc they're both scared that if the brothers knew about it, Ramón would cut Barrón's face off and wear it to his birthday party, at the behest of Mín who is decidedly Not B's Biggest Fan at this point in the story.

Like it's essentially her trying to force herself to be happy playing a role she didn't really ask for, and then eventually recognizing her independence will always be a priority to her and affirming her own need for autonomy is not something she's going to be able to suppress, no matter how hard she tries, that's just how she is and that's exactly why we love her

We'll see what Netflix execs have to say on the matter when I inevitably write this script and clearly shop it to all the big streaming platforms and tv networks and everyone is fighting each other, full Spy vs Spy, to produce this award-win- er okay, maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, here. There's something about the organ that makes this feel period-appropriate, despite it being a modern song, and I can just see all the pickup shots of San Diego and Tijuana, before it cuts to Dina and Barrón driving in some classic car, top down bc it's a convertible obvio, and quite litrally riding off into the desert-framed sunset. Bc this Russian novel/Movie/Show In My Head is actually more of a Barrón biopic since I've hijacked him and essentially acted like the man's my OC instead of someone who was on the show skskjsk and in this Barrón biopic, there's a part where he lives in Hawaii briefly bc his Garbage!Father is in the navy and gets stationed there for a little while. And despite the fact that Kyu Sakamoto is Japanese and Os Tincoãs is Brazilian and not remotely Pacific Islander in any way, let alone Hawaiian one or both of these are 1000% going to be playing over a montage of Matteo, Barrón, and Bugsy riding their bikes on the beach and just generally adventuring around the island, as three brothers should. It's pre-gang initiation for Matteo, so it's them at their purest, most undiluted little kid selves Barrón looks back on this time so fondly he actually refuses to think about it bc the nostalgia is physically painful. Also, both songs are pretty cheerful and breezy sounding but can't speak to the lyrics bc the first I'm p sure is in Portuguese and the second is in Japanese so they could be all doom and gloom and I just have no idea ksksks

The final (I think?) contender for the closing credits song. Tbh this song just oozes sexy in a throwback way, in the same vein as like a Smokey Robinson or a Sam Cooke, and would be right at home in a Scorsese movie, which makes it more than qualified to feature in the end credits of the Movie-In-My-Head that will probnever happen lbr, like I'll be lucky if I even post 1/3 of what I've written skdjksjd

Go ahead and throw this one on and imagine Dina calling Barrón while he's doing this paramilitary cry-fest training in the desert pretending he's not sobbing into his cheerios every morning Dina doesn't exist, and she needs to, idk, talk about some wedding details or something, maybe coordinate where he's gonna be during the ceremony and whatnot bc he's head security so poor mf's like contractually obligated to be there skskksjdkj and this sentiment is exactly where Dina's at. Throw this shit on and think about that not-at-all angsty scenario bc that's what @narcolini did before sending it to me, for me to turn around immediately and do the exact same thing. Now, I have quite a few end credits songs, but this is the only opening credits song bc the little scenelet in my head with this song is just so perfect, idk if I could find a better way to start. It'd be similar to that asslong shot at the beginning of Jackie Brown that's literally just Jackie (played by the iconic Pam Grier and honestly, even if you don't like Tarantino, you should watch Jackie Brown for Madame Grier alone bc she's incredible) on the little conveyer belt in the airport (she's a flight attendant) trying to make it to her next flight. I think I'd do something like that with a few pickup shots right before of Logan Heights and San Diego, to introduce the neighborhood, like where B grew up. Not only is the song perfect vibes-wise, but the lyrics are so perfectly aligned to what I've essentially sksks decided are Barrón's beliefs about making money and what it takes to get by and be successful in America (and later, Mexico, ofc) and his general philosophy on being a criminalsksk

And just for funsies (plus I’m bored), I’ll go through each ranking and each individual ship in them. It’ll take a while, but let’s have some fun!

OTP Status

Daring/Rosabella

Hey, in my defense: I really liked their chemistry and the potential that these two are a big reason I love them so much. Plus, you can’t deny how great their kiss in the dream was. Also, their dynamic gives strong Mondler (Monica x Chandler) vibes, and I’m here for it!

Apple/Darling

My lesbians! While I always liked them, I’ve grown to love them more as I’ve gotten older. I love the red/blue of their color scheme; it’s always so pleasing to me personally. I do wish we could’ve gotten to see more of them. (Side note: Little Miss Perfect is perfect for them, and we love to see it)

Raven/Dexter

While my shipping heart doesn’t love them as much as I did when I was younger, I think they are lovely together. Their first date is so realistic, and their chemistry is so natural. Would have loved to see them finally be together after the Blue Moon Forest Fest arc.

Briar/Ashlynn

“they were roommates” “*gasp* they were roommates!” I love the two of them together; it just feels so heartfelt. One of these days, I’ll do something for ‘em. 

Cupid/Blondie

Such a pure ship that quickly slipped under my radar as a kid, at least until this video. Their color schemes work together quite nicely. Would have loved to see more interactions between them that weren’t as subtle.

Lizzie/Duchess

I’m biased right now, as I recently got ‘Next Top Villain,’ and that,r friendship is adorable. She even saves Lizzie’s life! And the way Lizzie constantly ignores Daring for Duchess is just, ugh! They are goals! And it actually made me like Duchess, which I didn’t before.

Farrah/Ashlynn

My personal favorite Ashlynn ship. Farrah’s design is a bit weird, but I love how supportive they are of one another. Once their fairytale is over, I can see them coming together to be fashion co-designers. (Assuming Farrah doesn’t poof, that is)

Apple/Briar

I adore their friendship, but I can’t help but also see it in a romantic sense. They probably experimented with each other secretly to figure out their sexualities but never told anyone. They eventually drift away, but the Royal Trio (Apple, Briar, Ashlynn) has become one of my favorite EAH friend groups. 

Cedar/Cerise

They’re cute roommates, the only Cerise or Cedar ship I like. We stan a strong asexual couple!

Daring/Sparrow

They’re just so competitive, and it’s really amusing. Hunter/Sparrow is also one I like; I’m surprised it wasn’t on this.

Duchess/Justine

Rivals/Lovers. Duchess needed a challenger, and her girlfriend was that challenger!

Holly/Cedar

It’s kinda grown on me in the last couple of months, especially since their dolls are almost in the same doll line. Besides, they’re both artistic, so it’s pretty cute.

Hunter/Ashlynn 

I didn’t care/like them for the longest time. I always thought they sometimes tried too hard to make them the Cleo/Deuce of the show, and I didn’t care much for them either. But now? They’re such a sweet and healthy couple; I feel bad for being so hard on them for so long.

Raven/Cupid

Irony that they’re voiced by the same person, for one. I think they’d be cute for two, plus their aesthetics are so different that it just works. If this was the end result of the love triangle, it would give Korrasami vibes, and I’m here for it.

Kitty/Lizzie

They still aren’t my favorite, but their moments are cute, and I adore their close friendship. Clearly, the two of them understand each other better than anyone other of the Wonderlandians.

Apple/Maddie

Them being co-presidents is entertaining; when you really think about it, Apple, Maddie, and Raven become a trio in marketing. I don't know; there’s just something about their energy that’s super entertaining.

Justine/Ramona

Not much to say here; I just think it’s cute and what we see of them reminds me a bit of my beloved Bunnell.

Ashlynn/Cupid 

A bit of a random one, if I’m being sincere. A friendship between them would be cute, as they’re two romantics. Also, Cupid being scared of the woods? GIRL, you were from the monster world!

Ginger/Darling

We just don’t see enough of the two of them for me to really ship it. It did make me think, “...Is Darling a lesbian?” however. It does suck that Ginger never actually finds out that the White Knight is Darling, as far as we know.

Dexter/Cupid

This is one of my friend’s favorite ships, which is fine. They’re cute, but Cupid being so Dexter-obsessed was really annoying. I really like their friendship, though.

Daring/Lizzie

The episode is cute, but I think they’re a bit overrated. It’s interesting, but how Kitty’s diary and Next Top Villain portray them has ruined the possibility of me shipping it again.

Ramona/Rosabella

This and Cerise/Rosabella are basically the same ships, so I don’t see it. Ramona isn’t a character I care much for, so that doesn’t help.

Cedar/Ginger

A bit random to me, but that’s just me.

Duchess/Poppy

Cute potential, especially since it’s confirmed in “Truth or Hair” that Duchess goes to Poppy to get her hair trimmed. Plus, I did ship it briefly after Fairest on Ice came out. Fanart of ‘em is cute.

Holly/Ginger

I love a good crack ship as much as anyone, but this is still very random. I love both characters, and I see them as a cute couple, but not really for me.

Apple & Ashlynn

True Hearts Day is one of my favorite specials, and everything between these two is precisely why. Their friendship is admirable and realistic. As I said with Briar/Apple, the Royal Trio is one of my favorite friend groups for good reasons.

Cedar & Raven

I love their friendship in the books. Raven, Maddie, and Cedar are the Rebel Trio there, essentially. They’re so supportive of each other, and I love that.

Apple & Daring

The ultimate lesbian/himbo friendship. That’s all I have to say.

Cerise & Daring

They’ve just never been my cup of tea. I’ve always seen them as a badass set of co-captains of the Bookball team. Daring inviting her to dance with him seemed like more of a thank you and a friendship forming rather than romantic. 

Daring & Hopper

They’re roommates, which is pretty cool. But I don’t really care much for Hopper, so eh. 

Darling & Chase

They argued more like siblings or competitive friends. I love rival dynamics, but I think they would better give each other tips on fighting. Basically, they and Darise have the same vibes.

Darling & Cerise

A duo we deserved to see more of! I can see them having fun in Grimmnastics but entrusting one another with their secrets. Plus, they just look great together. 

Dexter & Hopper

They were only in the intro together, so there is not much to say. But I can see them bonding over their crushes on Raven and Briar (later Ginger, in Hopper’s case).

Dexter & Humphrey 

A good pair of nerds, and I love their friendship in the books. They both rap, and that is just so funny to me!

Kitty & Duchess

Another unlikely friendship with Duchess and a Wonderlandian, but they both cause a lot of chaos (in their own ways). Plus, they have the whole thing of upholding the family expectations in common, which I wonder if anyone has ever thought of. 

Raven & Apple

Alright, the big one. I’ll start by saying that there’s no doubt in my mind that Apple absolutely had a crush on Raven, she’s far too touchy, and it’s very suspicious. Although, their friendship is great, with many difficulties between the two girls. They’re both right and wrong regarding the Royal/Rebel situation. (I needed to get that piece off my chest.) There are sometimes moments that I would say that they aren’t the healthiest friendship, but regardless I like them.

Raven & Maddie

Friendship goals!!! I adore them, even if I’m not a Raven fan. They’re incredible in the books, but cartoon them is great too. 

Sparrow & Poppy

They’re on here, but Holly/Daring isn’t? Interesting. Anyways, Sparrow and Poppy could be cute, but I love their friendship in Truth or Hair. They just get each other and it isn’t romantic in the slightest. 

Sparrow & Duchess

Same goes for these two, honestly. These two are partners in crime, definitely. But they’re not romantic. Plus he’s one of Duchess’ only friends, which makes their dynamic so great. 

Maddie & Kitty

A great chaotic friendship and I appreciate that Maddie is so encouraging when they’re facing off with Kitty’s mom. She was probably the least angry with Kitty in Spring Unsprung, at least as far as I could see. I love them.

Raven & Cerise

Easily one of my favorite friendships. Their connection is admirable and Cerise reveals herself to her village to protect Raven from getting drowned in the books! They’re such a good friendship and I’m glad it was added to the show.

Hunter & Hopper

Don’t care, but maybe it could be a good friendship.

Briar/Faybelle

Yes, I’m aware of how popular this ship has become. They’re both tied for being my third favorite character and I love them both very deeply. But eh, I have never gotten the appeal. They’re frenemies and I love that about them. Although, the look that Faybelle gives Briar in the dream is one of my best pieces of proof of her being a lesbian. 

Daring/Alistair

They’re both blonde himbos, not much else to say. 

Raven/Darling

Darling can do a lot better if I’m being perfectly blunt here. There’s a good friendship that could be interesting, but I just don’t see the appeal. 

Jillian/Humphrey

Nothing against this one, I just don’t care about them. Jillian’s design is so busy and ugly to me, and her voice is too annoying. Humphrey can do better.

Nina/Jillian

Adventuring girlfriends could be cute. They are roommates as well, but eh they both showed up too late for me to care. 

Ginger/Maddie

It would be cool if Ginger worked at the Tea Shoppe, I can’t deny that. Give Maddie some help! Good friendship potential, just a bit indifferent to it.

Melody/Cupid

More power to you if you ship it, but I do not. It’s a bit too random.

Easily the most annoying ship to me. Reading Bunny’s diary didn’t help with my perception either, it only made it worse. Bunny (or Harley, as I headcanon to what her name actually is) has one of the cutest designs in all of EAH and she reduced to being a love interest to a very annoying will they-won’t they. They have no chemistry, they’re focused on way too much, and they remind me so much of the situation with Adrien/Marinette. Just ask one another out already and put an end to my suffering, for Pete’s sake!!!

Briar/Hopper

I do think they look nice together, but Hopper really should have moved on. Briar only liked how he complimented her and came to her every aid, which makes one of my favorite characters come off as a very shallow person for that alone. The way it’s implied in Bunny’s diary that Briar likes him too just doesn’t fly with me, because she’s never shown any actual interest in him. Bunnistair and Bropper are probably the ships I dislike the most.

Crystal/Farrah

This is mostly my Crystal hatred talking. But they also look way too similar, which makes my head hurt.

Cerise/Kitty

I know it’s the dog/cat dynamic that drives people in. But Kitty purposely tried to expose Cerise’s secret, despite knowing what it could do to her and her family. This and Clawdeen/Toralei just do not fly with me.

Cerise/Maddie

They’re both too different that I just can’t see it working out. I do appreciate that her dad is the one that married her parents and Maddie does keep Cerise’s secret a secret, so they have that going for them.

B is hired to perform for A’s birthday, which is a very uptight, formal and closed event. A is bored with all the stuck up guests around them, and can’t help but revel in the chaos caused by B’s rock music.

A sneaks out of the palace undercover so they can have just one night of rebellion. They stumble across B’s concert and fall in love with the band. A makes it a common practise to sneak out to see them play.

(Alternate version of 2) A ends up meeting B outside the venue and they start talking. A tells B about their night of rebellion (not their true identity) and B decides to make their night of rebellion one they’ll never forget.

When A was a child, their royal identity was kept a secret so that they could live a normal life until they were sixteen. Now an adult (and an important part of the royal family), they discover that a childhood friend of theirs has finally started the band they always talked about. Like a true friend, A shows up to everyone of their concerts.

A is chosen to be a judge for a music competition to raise money for charity. The competition is a tournament, and A does not want to judge it. That is, until B performs on stage and blows A away.

24 hours prompt

I’m trying to get back into the writing zone. God knows how hectic and toxic this back to work on site policy is. It’s energy draining. That, coupled with training relievers for our night shift (for they keep changing them every two days because they can’t find a permanent one for the job), I’m too tired to sit myself in front of my laptop and write away. But now... I actually have 4 days off! And am I gonna spend some of my available time for drabbles? Yes, oh yes!

I got this idea while perusing the tags for my current apple of the eye (Reiner Braun, damn it I still don’t get why I have hots for him now!). Thought I could do this for my beloved OTP, ZoNa and get the writing gears going again. 

Enough rambling. I want to do a 24 hours prompt for my favorite green and orange haired pirates. Give me a time (eg: 8:45 PM) and I’ll scribble a random ZoNa drabble for it. To make it more fun, I’ll automatically set it in AU just so I wouldn’t get restricted too much (since you know, they are currently in the midst of battle in both anime & manga and this would actually work better in AU) .
