Instead of Hogwarts houses, why don’t you assign characters different PJO Godly parents? Or Grishaverse Grisha types??? Or what TMA fear entity they would be an avatar of???? There are so many types of sorting, with much cooler backgrounds.

I personally think that these characters would specifically be:

Izuku Midoriya: Child of Athena, no doubt. Probably either an Avatar of the Lonely (pre-season one)(season six) or the Eye.

Melanie King is a Heartrender Grisha, and a Child of either Ares or Hermes.

Mina Ashido is 100% a Daughter of Aphrodite, and either a Tailor or a Tidemaker. She would probably be an avatar of the Vast or the Corruption.

Kaz Brekker is a either child of Hermes or Athena, and an Avatar of the Web

Nina Zenik is a daughter of Aphrodite, and and Avatar of the Flesh or the End

Nico Di Angelo is a corpsewitch, and either an avatar of the End, Dark, or Lonely

The Hunters of Artemis are avatars of the Hunt (duh), with Thalia being a squaller and Bianca being either a corpsewitch or a heartrender

Percy Jackson is an avatar of the Vast and a tidemaker, and Annabeth is an avatar of the Eye or the Web, as well as an Alkemi

Jason Grace is an avatar of the Vast and a Squaller, and Leo Valdez is an avatar of the Lonely or the Desolation, and an Inferni or Durast

Katsuki Bakugou is an avatar of the Desolation, and an Inferni. He’s also definitely a child of Ares

Georgie Barker is a child of Hades and an Inferni

Charlie Morningstar is a child of Hades (also duh) but hangs out with the Iris kids. She’s also an Inferni

Clarisse La Rue is an avatar of the Slaughter and a Drüskelle turned Dregs member

Jonathan Sims is a child of Athena, Martin Blackwood is a child of Iris and a squaller, Tim is a child of Hermes and an Inferni, Sasha is a child of Janus and a champion of Hestia, alwell as a durast

Nikola Orsenov is a Tailor, Annabelle Cane is a child of Arachne or Hecate, Jane Prentiss is a heartrender and child of Demeter, Jared Hopworth is a tailor and child of Hephaestus, Helen and Michael are children of Dionysus and Tailors, with Micheal Shelly being a child of Nephele, and Helen Richardson being a child of Athena

Daisy Tonner and Basira Hussain are both ex-drüskelles, with Daisy being a child of Ares and Basira being a child of Nemesis

Himiko Toga is an avatar of the hunt, a child of Eris and a corpsewitch, Twice is a child of Janus and avatar of the spiral, Dabi is an Inferni and child of Nemesis, Tomura is a child of Lyssa and a heartrender, as well as an avatar of the slaughter, Mr Compress is a child of Hecate and an Alkemi

it’s not beholding cuz that doesn’t make sense imo. spiral is a possibility, cuz of the reed making when you’re wrapping the string, that’s just repeated spiral motion End is a possibility, but oboe is famously the instrument representing the rooster crow announcing morning in dance macabre, which does announce an end, but it’s an end to the parading dead, so I’m not sure. It’s an option

Going three for four, stranger is an option, cuz of the generally described strange sound of an oboe. I’ve had parts before where the directors notes were basically just. You should be disconcerting here. Be bold with it. four for five, lonely is an option cuz I haven’t played it in almost two months

desolation is a no, slaughter is a no (to me)

vast meanwhile could be a possibility. Because with oboe, you get kind of the opposite effect of a flute on how you breathe. You have so much air, and only a little leaves at a time. But I guess that could also be buried? Idk, I’m bad at finding the line between those two sometimes

and then I’m just gonna leave it at that, I don’t think any of the ones left fit. But who knows.
