I’m really hoping we get at least a HINT of Hades x Persephone in the game! Even if there’s just like a flower in his house or something lol (though Disney isn’t that nice to us, especially when it comes to Persephone so I doubt it but still lol)!
I’m almost done with the Rift in Time storyline on my Switch and PC (I finished Act 1 and I’m on to Act 2, just gotta complete that and Act 3 and I’m good to go for Storybook Vale lol), so hopefully I’ll be seeing Hades very soon lol (I’m such a perfectionist lmao, I wanna finish the RiT story before playing Storybook Vale since Storybook is supposed to take place after Rift lol)!
Also, btw I totally have a whole backstory and storyline set up for the Hades and Persephone Dreamlight Valley AU, so as soon as I get an idea of what Hades’ storyline is for the game (why he’s there, what happened to him before he got there, and all that type of info), I’ll definitely post that lol!

TW - electrocution & spike traps?
We didn’t get to fight
buuut, I managed to get struck by lighting and gave my friend, whose character has so much trauma that it permeates around the table, the wonderful view of her current best friend getting fashizzled to death.
My friend, who I wanted to fight to the death. managed to die in the same session. The DM nullified it in order to give him a more theatrical death. The DM was not a big fan of this player and wanted to grant him death at the cost of his dignity. The following session, he cause something that sent the party falling through hotel floors and somehow onto a spike trap. My friend, was spiked to death.
We laughed about it and it was grand
Due to schedule problems I’m going to have to leave my DND campaign. I’m pretty sad about it.
HOWEVER
Another one of my friends in the party was already planning on leaving. I talked to him and decided, let’s get our characters to fight to the death. Whoever wins gets bragging rights and a Molotov to finish it off.
I don’t know if it’s a bad idea or not but if we’re leaving then might as well go out with a bang

an excerpt from my unnamed & heavily unfinished lyney fic:
Thin, frail hands reached out to grab hold of the brass knob that was cold to the touch, slowly twisting and pushing open the grand doors. Their deafening sound disrupts the unperturbed silence of the other room. At first, Lyney is hesitant to continue further in. The lack of human presence indirectly urged him to turn back and find Lynette.
However, as his curious eyes wander across the hall that appears to stretch on for what seemed like several miles, he unknowingly finds himself walking forward. The plush carpet below softening his footsteps as he gazes in awe at the room’s emanate opulence: pedestals where pristine ceramic vases sat upon holding flowers, modest paintings of pleasant fields or mountains of solitude, and the array of tall windows that filter in ample sunlight through draping curtains.
Though he walks a good distance away from such novel furnishings, he continues to remain careful for the unknown fear that he may accidentally knock something over. Forget damaging—he may as well leave a stain on this place with his own breath.
Wavering footsteps eventually recede to a halt as his eyes catch sight of a particular painting.
Gilded in gold, it depicts a woman elegantly sitting upon a throne. Her black gloved hands rest leisurely upon her lap, contrasting her straight and refined posture. Rose gold hair styled in a loose braid that falls seamlessly down her shoulder, complimenting her poised sea-green eyes. Though she displayed a cordial smile akin to that of a loving mother, something about her gaze unsettled Lyney. Like it held a glint of rancor that most would not perceive.
Stationed beside this painting, was another more distinguishable portrait. It portrayed yet another woman of equal eminence, if not more. But even at a mere glance, it was obvious she held more eccentricities about her. She sat upon the throne as though it were any other seat: one leg crossed over the other and cheek languidly resting upon her hand, further emphasizing her impartial demeanor. Layered black and white hair that extends almost down to her shoulders on one side and—her eyes.
They are not ones Lyney has ever seen before. Black as a moonless night with striking red pupils shaped like “X’s.” Compared to the previous woman, this one evidently held a more daunting presence, even within the confines of a painting. Yet despite such looming authority, something about her held more sincerity. For what exactly, Lyney has no clue.
All he knows is that should he ever come face to face with such a woman, he would undoubtedly take her words as they are, without question.
Gradually peeling his eyes away from the paintings, Lyney’s gaze then landed upon another item of interest, one that stood at the center of the room and that he’s surprisingly failed to notice until now—a grand piano.
Approaching the instrument, Lyney’s eyes examine its spotless condition. Free of any marks or scratches as his fingers gently grazed along the black and white keys before taking a seat. He plays one note, and then another, the soft sound managing to echo throughout the entire hall. He definitely shouldn’t be touching this, his mind tells him. Though his actions speak otherwise. Slowly positioning his hands on the keys, Lyney begins to play.
It’s a melancholic tune that plays, but one so cathartic it brings the world to a standstill. He was never one to find great enjoyment in playing such an instrument. Lynette had often told him to put such talents to greater use, perhaps performing in the grandest of stages like the Opera Epiclese, but Lyney never indulged those possibilities.
Such an opportunity should only be granted to those who have a true passion for playing a beautiful instrument like the piano. Not someone like him who only used it as a means to get by.
“What are you doing?” A stringent voice cuts through the somber melody, immediately making Lyney’s hands flinch away from the keys and head dart at the person standing a few feet away. Their expression mirrored their tone of voice: cold and apathetic. Had they been here this entire time?
Upon receiving no response, their eyes narrow at him. “Who are you and what are you doing here?”
“Lyney!” He blurts out immediately, shooting up from his seat that almost knocks over the stool behind him. He winces a bit at the commotion he’s now caused. “I mean–my name. My name is Lyney…”
“...Lyney?” The person repeats, voice dripping with doubt and ready to suspect him of hiding his true identity. But then there’s a pause and Lyney watches as their face morphs from a look of ponder to a scowl before they speak again. “Oh. So you’re the one “Father” talked about bringing in.”

hollywood u never specified what addison’s mother is sick with, or if it’s terminal; just that she’s really sick, right? rather, that she has been really sick (for a while). personally, i’ve always read it as if it were terminal. lmao not surprising. anyway you know what that means *hits her with dead parent beam*

I hope they announce a show where First is an actual lead…
He was so wonderful in The Eclipse, and then sidelined in absolutely everything that has come since…
“He was a lead in Only Friends!” No he wasn’t. He wasn’t a main character, he was the love interest to a main (adjacent) character. Which sucks because Sand was, by far, one of the most interesting characters in that show and yet no one cares… which is tragic lol his character is so much more interesting than Ray (imo) but under used.
I just want First to play a lead. Preferably, with an actual flushed out back story.
I’m not trying to disregard Khao’s acting either - he’s great. Both he and First are wonderful. I just wished it was more balanced. I also wish they’d get to play different characters because this is the 3rd show where they (with some glaring differences I know) play very similar characters.
Procrastination rant over 😅
#of course with Khao - I love Khao - it’s just super annoying that First has more or less been discarded. oh how dramatic yes it is dramatic#lol very dramatic#but also not inaccurate I see more people post about how they don’t care for First and how he’s somehow a bad actor WHICH IS INSANE than I#do for just about anyone else in the BL scope. but First is great he is just constantly relegating to side character’s love interest and#I’m frustrated 😂 todays been long and I keep seeing people rag on first and be excited for that new show but I can’t even be mildly#optimistic for that show because I already know he’s not going to be even remotely the focus. which just sucks sigh at least I’ll be able#skip though scenes like I do in other shows i assume#now I’m just avoiding work thank you for joining me#if you got this far please know I hope to post a Between Us fic today or tomorrow and a The Eclipse fic next week#I also hope to get the Pit Babe Charlie sequel up and running but I’ve had inspiration issues lately my brain is just too tired haha

I was already depressed enough about being back home and back to work and not being at the beach relaxing anymore and then to find#out that the actor portraying my favorite fucking fictional character from my favorite series ever was at the same place I was just a couple#days after I left FUCK THISSSSSS 😭😭#I could’ve met him of our vacation was this week instead like that’s fucking crazy I’m so sadhdjsgshsghdkhd#I just wanna tell him how incredible him and the others did and how proud and thankful I am for them and this show like that would’ve been#so amazing I’m genuinely so sad about this what the hell 😭#I do remember him saying his family is from Pennsylvania and so is my moms (that’s why we go to nj cause it’s close to her family and stuff)#so if makes sense why he would go there to so hopefully in the future he’ll go again and we’ll be there at the same time!!! 🙏#but anyways I’m good news them at comic con is so soon and then filming for season two starts august 1!!!!!! 💙 can’t wait 🔱✨#mine

Alternatives to Squishmallow
So as many of you have probably already heard, Jazwares, the company that produces Squishmallows, is donating to charities that support Israeli soldiers and the IDF. They’re also supporting Canary Mission, which has been doxxing people who speak out against Israel. BDS hasn’t called for a boycott against them, but I can’t in good faith spend my money on their products, and I would strongly encourage everyone who enjoys plushies to really think long and hard about if you want to give your money to a company that’s helping support genocide!
But the holidays are coming up, and lots of us enjoy plushies and were fans of Squishmallow, and were planning to give Squishmallows to friends and family this year.
Fortunately, there are a number of great plushie companies out there, and I want to promote some of my favorites in the hopes that folks will get their plushie fix from a source that doesn’t side with Israel. So without further ado:
Fluffnest
Fluffnest got their start on Kickstarter a few years ago, and I adore the round shapes of their PuffPal plushies! My favorite is Pete the Possum, which is probably the best possum plush I’ve ever seen. I’ve also got a beautiful moth from their Kickstarter and I’ve been wanting their bats for ages. They also recently had a Kickstarter for an Animal Crossing-esque video game featuring their plushie characters and it looks fantastic.
Squishables
I can’t get over the plague doctor plushies. They’re so perfect and cute, and they’ve released other variations of them called Alter Egos, like a ghostly version, an alien, or a really sweet cottagecore one! They’ve got a ton of variety, but what I like the most are the fantasy plushies. There’s a lich! There are dragons and demons! Cryptids! Biblically accurate angels! A lot of really fun stuff!
Also they do a lot of great charity work! Right now they’re doing an auction for the Food Bank of New York City.
AfternoonFika
AfternoonFika is a very small business of only three people, but their plushies are extremely cute. They tend to sell out fast, so I recommend following them on social media to stay on top of any restocks! They recently released a line of dinosaurs that are precious, and of course I love their iconic cactus cat and cinnamon bun bunny.
Jellycat
Jellycat has been around since 1999, so they’re the oldest of these companies. They’ve got great designs, a ton of variety, and a lot of their plushies are made to be cuddled on and not just displayed. All three of my tiny nephews sleep with a different stuffed dog from Jellycat. My mom has a sun and several succulents that she uses as decorations. There’s a little something for everyone who enjoys plushies!
If you have any other favorite companies I haven’t mentioned, feel free to add on! I’ve enjoyed Squishmallows for a while now and I’m sad to see their leadership coming out on the side that’s committing war crimes on a daily basis, but this is a good time to discover new favorite plushie companies! And remember, money speaks loudly. Even if BDS hasn’t called for a boycott of Jazwares, it sends a message when sales start dropping for companies that support genocide. It’s a small thing, but the little things we do can add up!
