inazuma bound headcanons
their last goodbyes before you depart to the land of eternity.
feat. childe, diluc, kaeya, kazuha, xiao
warnings : inazuma spoilers, slight angst but mainly fluff
❀ childe
despite inazuma being a place not many have ventured to and from, childe isn't the slightest worried for your safety. he knows the dangers of the storming seas surrounding inazuma and of the situation the people of inazuma are in due to the vision hunt decree.
but he prides in the fact that you're strong enough to handle what inazuma has to offer to you. abyss, you've defeated him in battle, there's no way you can't handle a little thunderstorm.
the cheerful chirp of your name alerts your attention to the ginger haired harbinger as he approaches you on the streets of liyue harbor. you raise an eyebrow at him, knowing full well that he shouldn't be here and should be stationed at dragonspine.
before you can scold him about his responsibilities, he scoops you into his arms and spins you around. his laughter rings in your ears and you can't help but smile. any and all thoughts of being mad at him are washed away as soon as his eyes meet yours.
the rest of your day is spent with him, as he won't be able to see you off before your trip to inazuma. he buys you trinkets, food, slings an arm around your shoulders all so you could be reminded of him and how fun it is to spend time with him.
"you know, it's a shame i wasn't stationed in inazuma next. i would have loved to explore it with you and fight at your side for a while longer," childe muses to you as the streets of liyue begin to light up for the evening. his hand is in yours and you squeeze it in reassurance.
"i'll miss you, a lot." your heart swells at his words, pulling him into a comforting embrace. your lips curve into a smile when his arms tighten themselves around you and you can't help but think that you'll miss him too.
"don't forget to send me letters about your visit to inazuma! or else i'll go over there and hunt you down myself, [name]!"
❀ diluc
diluc is not too thrilled to hear that you're departing to inazuma. not that he has anything against the nation, but he knows how hard it is to enter and leave and he knows of the situation the people under the shogunate are in.
but he isn't going to harp you on making sure you can protect yourself. he has faith in you that you'll have a safe voyage over and stay alive while on your journey in the land of eternity. he's seen you singlehandedly defeat and restore dvalin; there's no need to worry about your wellbeing.
his hand brushes against your cheek, moving the hair that curtained your slumbering face. you look so peaceful, so at ease resting against his lap as if you aren't about to set off overseas with no guarantee of your safe return.
you stir from your short slumber, leaning into his touch and diluc cannot help the small smile forming on his lips. "did you sleep well?" he asks, watching you as you slowly get up from his lap. you hum in response and stretch your limbs.
"have you finished packing for your trip?" diluc's question earns a slight frown from you and he raises an eyebrow. "you didn't finish preparing for inazuma, even though you're leaving soon?" diluc's assumption is proven correct when you begin twiddling your fingers and struggling to find a good excuse.
a sigh leaves his lips, getting up and offering you a hand. you bashfully take it. diluc hoists you up and you let out a little laugh when he sends an unamused frown your way. "i'm sorry! i was supposed to finish my preparations today, but i wanted to see you before i had to go."
it's a good thing that diluc has a soft spot for you, otherwise he would have given you the scolding of a lifetime. instead, he gently grasps your hand and flicks your forehead with his free hand before leading you inside the dawn winery so you could properly prepare for your journey overseas.
"i can't accompany you to inazuma, unfortunately, but i'll wish you a safe journey. take care, [name], i'll see you when you return."
❀ kaeya
kaeya is intrigued when you tell him that you'd be leaving for inazuma anytime soon. it's not often that people willingly want to enter storming seas and a land that isn't fond of people traveling to and from.
if anything, kaeya wants to tag along and fight by your side in inazuma. there's not much to do in mondstadt anyways. with jean and diluc keeping everyone in check kaeya didn't really have anything to do besides stir up some drama between the people of mondstadt or provoke enemies of mondstadt.
but he knows that shirking from his duties as captain of the calvary just to accompany you to inazuma wouldn't fare well with jean.
"i'm sad to see that our journey together ends here," kaeya tells you during your final visit to angel's share, for a while anyways. you roll your eyes and gently shove him with your shoulder. you know he's trying to pull at your strings from the way his sapphire eye glimmers in mischief.
"it's not going to be forever, you know. i'll be back before you know it," you reply, taking a sip of your drink. "you're acting like i'm going to inazuma and dying there." you bite back a smile when kaeya sighs dramatically and leans his entire bodyweight on you. a groan leaves your lips from the pressure.
"it's like i can still hear their voice." you snort and shove kaeya off of you, earning a snicker from the taller male. "say, [name], why don't we leave the bar and have a night of our own? just the two of us before you leave."
you pretend to ponder at his question for a moment, but say yes. you don't miss the way his lips curl into a feline smile, or the way his hand encases your own as he leads you out of the tavern and into the chilly evening of mondstadt.
but the chill doesn't bother you. not with kaeya's warm hand intertwined with yours as the two of you laugh and chatter in the warm glow of the street lamps lining the streets.
"are you sure you don't want me to tag along? wouldn't want you to miss me, haha. come back soon. don't keep me waiting."
❀ kazuha
knowing you're about to take off to the nation he escaped from puts him on edge, if he's being honest here. he knows of how brutal raiden shogun can be, stealing the visions of the innocent so she can remain eternal.
yet, seeing the reassuring smile adorning your face calms his nerves. he knows of your strength, of the rumors and tales of you fighting a dragon and a fatui harbinger, but he can't help but worry nonetheless.
his hand gently grasps your own, his fingers drawing shapes along the curves of your knuckles and brushing over the callouses that have formed on your fingertips. your head rests atop his shoulders as the two of you sit on the deck of the crux underneath the stars.
"is something on your mind?" you ask when he pauses in his ministrations. kazuha sighs, pausing briefly before replying to you.
"will you be okay? alone in inazuma, i mean. my homeland is a beautiful and wonderful place, but there is a corrupt and unjust leader ruling over it. i fear you'll be harmed and-"
"and you won't see me again?" you smile and pull away to meet your companion's gaze. there is a storm of worry in kazuha's ruby eyes and you hold his jaw in your hand, thumb rubbing calming circles on his cheek when he leans into your touch and holds your wrist.
"i'm stronger than you think, you've seen that firsthand. i'll be okay, kazuha." your reassuring words seemingly relax the inazuman traveller, but you can still sense the uncertainty surrounding him.
kazuha presses a gentle kiss against your inner palm before sliding his hand up to interlock your hands together.
"should anything happen to you, the wind will guide us together and i shall protect you. stay safe, dear [name]."
❀ xiao
xiao is a bit... unsettled when you give him the news that you're leaving for inazuma in a few days. it isn't often that you get to see him due to his job as one of liyue's yakshas and your travels across teyvat's lands.
he knows you'll be okay in inazuma, but he has no jurisdiction nor power in inazuma. his responsibility lies in liyue and he cannot leave until his duty to protect the nation of contracts has been fulfilled. yet, he wants to accompany you so he can assure your safety and survival against the stormy seas of inazuma.
"oh, there you are," your voice calms the worrying adeptus, even more so when your presence is beside him. he doesn't respond to you verbally, but he spares you a glance before fixing his gaze back to guili plains.
there's a comfortable silence between the two of you, neither of you feeling the need to speak up. but xiao's gentle voice breaks it with a statement you've been anticipating. "it's not too late to stay in liyue so i can dispose of those who harm you."
you turn to face him, not surprised at all to see his piercing eyes already staring at you. "i have to, i need to find my sibling and meeting the shogunate is the only way forward." his lips form a thin line at your answer.
your fingers inch forward to touch xiao's hand; he flinches when your fingers graze his out of instinct. but he grasps your hand before it can retreat, squeezing it as if it would make you stay beside him.
but he knows you have to go, have to find answers on the whereabouts of your sibling even if it meant risking your life.
"if i can't protect you, promise me you'll protect yourself. if you were to get hurt... forget it. just make sure you stay alive."

hi! saw requests were open- can i pls ask for headcanons of cypher being a familial/dad figure to the reader? g/n reader! he's kind of a dad figure to a lot of my friends and i wanted to request some content of it for them to read :) thank you in advance!
Hi nonny! I’m absolutely flattered that you would choose me and my writing to show to your friends, I hope I don’t disappoint! :)))
~Admin Hurricane
Warnings: none
Word Count: 250+
Genre: fluff, parent and child relations, platonic relationship, familial relations
Pairing(s): Cypher + GN!Reader (Platonic!)
Tumblr media
Mans would tease you relentlessly, he’s the type of dad that cracks jokes and tells embarrassing stories of you that you would very much not like to be exposed to others.
He’s very doting of you, in a way, he sees himself in you and feels as though he should be there to help guide you.
Cypher would definitely encourage you to explore your interests, if it’s something you like, you should pursue it.
I don’t think Cypher would be the type of person to object to you dating someone because he wants to see you happy, he would only ever object if the person in question could harm you in any way.
It’s no question but Cypher is very big brain, if you ever have any life questions or just advice, go have a talk with him! He’ll do his best to give you his input, even if he might not know the right answer himself
If you work for the VP as well, he’s not gonna shield you from the dangers that come with it, he might object at first, but he knows that you can take care of yourself. So long as you don’t do anything too crazy or reckless, he has no objections. However, he does have cameras set up outside of your room and some tripwires here and there, just precautionary measures.
He would prefer to keep you out of his line of work though, it can get rather gritty and gruesome and times. He’s a natural-born killer, but you might not necessarily be.
Reminder that my requests are open! Be sure to send something my way if you’re interested! Requesting Rules are here!
Want more of my writing? Be sure to check out my masterlist. Wanna know what else I’ll write for? Here you go!
Thanks for reading and have a lovely day!

ugggh so I am a dirty little slut for sal fisher and I had a thought about it sooooo,,,,
Sal Fisher x GN (masc body) headcanons of what he's like with you
this is gonna be very heavily influenced by the fact I am sleepy and really wanna write this rn!
Warnings: Non-canon-compliant (Sal lives, Larry lives, Todd doesn't go crazy, no murder), some NSFW stuff, switch-bottom leaning Sal, Service Top Sal
Highschool
When he first meets you he's, hands down, the most flustered he's ever been before
Like, he's really into you
He just sees you in the hall and immediately blushes
he goes around his days as usual and stuff still but now he's eyeing you whenever you come into view
it's cute, he looks like a little kitten peering at you from around the corner because he’s too shy to say something
Larry makes little jokes about it and always tells him to talk to you
"wow, what a stalker" is his usual line when he finds Sal looking at you from somewhere
he musters up the courage to talk to you in his junior year when you wear a Sanity's Fall's shirt to class one day
from then on you two talk together whenever you have class and stuff
your parents move into the apartments in your senior year because of a demotion and you and Sal start hanging out outside of school
He finally asks you out on the last day of senior year
You and the gang go out to the football field the night after graduation
after they clean up all of the equipment for the stage
You guys end up smoking a blunt because Larry brought some of his stash and, hey, what's the harm?
You and Sal end up laying in the middle of the field while Larry chases Ash and Todd around on the bleachers
They're laughing and howling at the moon so you two just listen
Sal takes his mask off cause he feels more comfortable laying with it off
He takes out his pigtails and you comb through his hair for a bit
You look him in the eyes and just stop brushing your fingers through his hair long enough for him to look up at you
your eyes both meet and you two just stare
You see the stars in his eyes
Sal just thinks "You're the prettiest person I've ever seen"
"what?" "uhhhh....nothing"
"It's okay Sal!" You giggle at him and he giggles too
you both start giggling at each other and you two hug each other
still, just facing each other, heads tucked into shoulders, chests pressed so tightly together, legs intertwined
It's calm
He feels safe
So safe and warm
It's wonderful
So he sighs and says" I think I'm in love with you"
And it's an accident
He doesn't regret it, not processing it until you say "I'm in love with you too silly"
And you stay like that
no panic or guilt
just tucked away into each other
The gang goes to 7/11 that night-morning really it is 3 am-and get slushies
all of them are teasing you guys as you hold hands on the way there
it's cute
He's cute
You're cute
You both feel warm in the jackets you switch from each other
it's cute
"God the stalker finally got the victim in their clasps, another tragically happy ending" "Shut it Larry Face"
College
You both end up staying in different places after high school
You take a year off college and stay with your parents at Addison Apartments and Sal moves into the gang's house
It's nice, you see each other regularly for dates and ghost hunts
it's blissful
Then Sal starts having his nightmares again and you come over regularly for sleepovers
it's months into this routine of going home, getting new clothes from the apartments, go out with Sal, come and sleep at his place to help with nightmares, repeat that Larry has the most brilliant idea
"Why don't you just move in with Sal? You practically live with him anyway."
This is in front of you two, you're both at the gang's house and drinking some morning coffee
Sal not really jokes and agrees
And then you genuinely agree
It's a big moment for you two
Sal wanted you to move in right away but was scared his nightmares would affect you or you two wouldn't end up working out
So you two complied and stayed where you were
But this is gonna be an actual conversation where he is up for it and knows you two are stable
So you talk about it
You two agree
And you end up moving in that day
it's not that hard since most of your clothes are over there already
It's basically just moving your bed, knick-knacks, and bookshelf in so that's just the big things since you have a queen
It's bliss from there
you both settle into a nice routine and after you start college Sal decides to focus on his music for rn and take a break
You get a job and the dynamic is just... so pure
you guys are finally, finally, okay and the best thing is that you're together
He's still adorable and you're still sweet
You guys end up getting your own apartment outside of Nockfell and Addison Apartments
The gang stays around
Larry ends up moving in with you two for a little bit until he can afford his own place
Sal gets a lot more gigs out there in the city than he would have gotten in Nockfell and you get a job at a little club
Sal ends up playing there often because of you
NSFW headcanons
Okay so Sal is a hopeless romantic
before he moved to Nockfell he never really had anybody else who was interested in him
so he was super hopeless in planning your first time together
once you had slept over with each other a couple of times he makes this grand layout and waits for you to walk in to see him spred on the bed, clad in some cute underwear and nothing else
turns out though you were sick and sent Larry to tell Sal you couldn’t come over cause your phone was dead and you didn’t wanna get him sick
So Larry ends up walking in on a naked Sal and scarying the everloving crap out of him
He makes fun of y'all after that about it
So your first time is honestly uneventful after that whole fiasco
Deciding to just causally hook up at his place instead
Sal is a switch but he leans for bottoming
he can top, he's really good at being a service top
He’s not insecure about himself, he’s pretty big for his height *cough* (9.7) *cough*
but he prefers being spoiled and called pretty
loves being called feminine nicknames like "pretty baby" even if he is topping
stuff that's gender-neutral but is more feminine in origin
He likes it when you do it doggy-style if you're topping just cause if you press him into the mattress he can feel you better inside of him
Whines so much when you go faster
really likes getting fucked stupid, he wants his throat to be sore and his ass to be bed-ridden
Loves topping you when you're in his lap straddling him
He really likes to make you do work for a while, guides you and everything until you're breaking
when you eventually end up asking for him to "just fuck me already Sal...please?" He wants tears down your face, crying and desperate for him or else it’s not gonna happen
He ends up fucking into you like a monster from there if you are
loves when you lay on your back and he's on his knees sitting and thrusting into you, pulling you onto his lap
very vocal either way but he laughs and giggles more with you, his moans are less fucked out and more "oh god, yes!" in nature
His sex drive is really high, he could go for hours
If you end up getting tired when he's bottoming he's gonna bounce on your pretty cock and ride you so pathetically
It's so pathetically adorable
but if he's topping and you get tired he usually asks you if he can fuck you to sleep
You end up agreeing only if he cleans you up after
He doesn't have any severe kinks or whatnot
He's really into being breed though
Tie him up too while you do it
he likes gags as well
when you breed him he'll end up feeling bad after you finish and he can't feel it anymore once it's out
So you end up giving him a buttplug after to compromise
Sometimes if he's being a brat you'll tie him up, gag him, and leave him with a vibrator over stimming him
You'll leave him in the room and come back to a crying Sal, salivating and so fucked out without having even cum once
If you're ever being the brat he does the exact opposite
He'll tie you up but make it so you can't close your mouth
You have to be quiet though, he doesn’t want to hear anything louder than breathing and your pathetic whimpers
you're over stimmed to hell and orgasm so much it's difficult to keep awake
but do not fall asleep cause if you don't get through it to the end it won't end (Consensually of course)
He and Larry definitely hooked up once or twice before meeting you so I think he'd ask you to let him in on it
It becomes a regular occurrence until Larry moves out
But when you do have a threesome and he is feeling dominant get ready to not move for the next three weeks
It's nice though and doesn't end up changing the relationship between you three
That's it, I gotta stop before I cream myself into dirtier shit cause I am his slut. I have Sal Fisher brain rot syndrome so I'll definitely make another one eventually. Request some stuff and I'll be happy to write!
Continuation for Threesome hcs here by request

Sweet little darling~
Fandom: House of Wax (2005)
Pairing: Bo Sinclair X Fem!Reader
Warnings: Canon typical violence, domestic abuse (abusive relationship; not Bo) Kind of out-of-character Bo, depends on how you headcanon him for liking someone! Also not proofread yet.
Words: 2.55k
Summary: Kindness can get you killed, but it can also get you out of a sticky situation.
Part Two!
Tumblr media
To anybody that saw their relationship, it was evident that the feeling wasn’t mutual. Perhaps it once had been, but it no longer was, and for good reason.
“You fucking bitch!” The scream echoed throughout the building, one body looming over a small, cowering young woman.
“I’m sorry,” she mumbled, doing her best to hold back the tears that were threatening to fall.  “Please don’t hurt m-“ her pleas were cut short as a tight hand grasped her arm and tugged her onto her feet, a harsh slap hitting her cheek shortly afterwards.
“Please don’t hurt me,” he cruelly laughed, mimicking her frightened and desperate tone. “How pathetic.”
“I’m sorry,”
With one final laugh, her boyfriend tossed her to the ground.
*
Laughter filled the truck the group of friends were currently seated in, music blaring through the speakers of a radio one of them had brought but their drunk selves were unable to remember who.
Four of the friends engaged in conversation about anything their clouded minds could think of, whilst the final friend lay against the side of the car, desperately avoiding the demanding gaze her boyfriend was giving her and had been giving her the entire night.
It was clear what he wanted.
Eyes fixated on the green of the grass beneath her, Y/N noticed an approaching truck. Choosing not to say anything, she silently waited for somebody else to notice the vehicle.
“Guys,” Lucy, a close friend of Y/N’s boyfriends, called. “Who is that?”
By now the headlights of the truck were focused on the gang who were circled around the campfire, narrowly avoiding Y/N’s figure.
“James, do something?” Y/N winced as she watched another of the girls grasp onto her boyfriends muscular arm, her blonde hair rubbing against his bare chest.
“Can we help you?” He yelled over the sound of the roaring engine, their music having been paused the second they had notice the driver. “Look dude, this isn’t funny. Just fuck off!”
James’s final sentence was one that made his girlfriend cringe, body remembering the way he had hurt her the night before using that exact same tone; it almost made her cry.
Deciding to stop him before this escalated any further, Y/N made her way towards James before placing a hand on his chest to signal him to back down. This seemed to only anger him further, something that was clear by the way his hands balled into fists. Nobody noticed, except one other person.
“Leave it,” she whispered into his ear, hand dropping from his body to hopefully ease his anger.
James’s hand reach out to her, grabbing his own with a bruising force and tugging her into him as he leaned down to her ear, ignoring the whistles from his friends who assumed he was saying something sexual.
“Just you wait till I get you alone,” James snarled in her ear, unaware of the way an unknown man glared at him before driving away.
*
“Are you fucking kidding me?” James spat, smashing his hand against the cars hood. “It’s busted, the fan belt is fucked.”
His anger seemed to put everybody on edge as they all fell into an uncomfortable silence, something that was uncommon for them.
“You needed a new one anyway,” Y/N mumbled, just loud enough for him to hear.
“Don’t you fucking start,” while his words were directed towards his girlfriend, the others assumed it was aimed at the car in sarcasm; ignorance is bliss after all.
“I can help y’all.” A seemingly kind voice yelled from behind them, having heard the entire conversation. “Sorry, couldn’t help but overhear ya. There’s a town not to far from here. A guy, Bo, runs a gas stop, I’m sure he’d have some.”
Before James could rudely decline this man, Y/N decided to respond. “Do you know how to get there?”
“I’ll drive ya! Truck can only fit two of you though,”
“That’d be great!” She gave the unnamed man a gentle smile, one which he gladly returned. “When are you ready?”
“Now is good,”
She simply nodded, rushing towards the car without giving James a chance to say anything, only leaving him time to follow her, but not before a “fuck sake,” left his lips.
*
“Thank you so much, Lester!” She grinned once again as she hopped from his truck.
“It was no bother, pleasure to meet you Y/N,” he smiled back at her, ruffling her hair slightly before realising the angered look on James’s face. “And you of course,” he nodded awkwardly whilst his hand dropped back to his side. “You two take care now,” and with those words, he drove away.
“Fucking slutting yourself out to weird men, typical,” James spat as he tugged Y/N’s hand so that she was following him into the town, ignoring how she almost tripped in the process.
“I’m sorry, I was just being nice. He was helping us!” She all but yelled, silently praying for him to loosen his grip so that she doesn’t have to use all of her concealer hiding, yet another, mark from him.
“Sure he was. He didn’t just want to get into your pants or anything, huh?”
Ignoring his hurtful words, Y/N began to look around the town.
It was quiet, too quiet. But when she began to think, it was Sunday and there was a Church up ahead at the end of the road which would make more sense, especially considering how early in the morning it was.
“There’s the garage,” James said, dropping her hand to instead point at the small garage not far from them. “Let’s go,”
Y/N followed him, quickly striding to keep up with his large legs.
“There’s nobody here,” she sighed, watching as James just barged his way into the unoccupied garage. “You can’t just go in there! That’s rude.”
“Do I give a fuck? Wait out there for all I care,”
So she chose to do just that.
*
“Oh, hi!” A tall man in a suit gave Y/N a bright grin, accidentally startling her slightly. “You need something?”
“O-oh, hi! Uhm, my boyfriend is in there, I’m sorry I told him not too, he needs a fan belt? I have no idea what one of them is but I-“
The man chuckled, smiling once again as he put his arm around her waist to guide her inside. “Don’t worry, darling. I got ya,” his words were somewhat calming, as though he was offering to protect her from James, despite not knowing what was going on, or perhaps he did.
“You finally grew a p-“James’s words fell short as he turned to see a man, who was significantly taller than him, stood beside his girlfriend. “Hello?”
“Hi, names Bo,” Bo’s tone was a lot blunter than the charming one he had been using previously. “You need something?” He repeated his previous words, instead this time to James and less kind. “You are in my garage after all.”
Despite knowing that Bo could easily subdue him, James chose to get angry anyway. “You got a problem with me? Don’t leave it unlocked if you don’t want people coming in,”
“James leave it,” Y/N gently pushed herself between Bo and James as James began to try get into his face. “Just ask him for what you need and let’s go.”
“Fine, we need a fan belt. Fifteen inch.”
“I might be able to do that, but you’ve already had a look so let me know what I’ve got,” Bo smirked at the angered expression on the mans face at his words.
So maybe he did have a problem with James, a problem neither of the couple knew of.
“Not a fifteen,”
“Then they’re back at the house,”
“The house? Why would they be there?”
“Deliveries are delivered there, easier for everyone really.”
Y/N watched as the two men interacted, Bo incredibly calm whilst James was boiling with anger. Part of her was scared of how he would react, his threat about ‘waiting till they’re alone’ floating around in her mind, yet some strange part of her felt safe knowing that Bo was there. Perhaps it was the fact that he could fight him with ease, or maybe that James would, most likely, never harm her in front of another person.
“Let’s just go,” She pleaded, desperation swimming in her Y/E/C orbs.
“No, I’ll stay, you go.” James seemed pleased with this idea, smirking at the way his girlfriends body tensed; he enjoyed the fear he caused her.
“That’s fine with me,” Bo chimed in, offering Y/N a smile. “That fine with you?”
“Yeah, yeah that’s fine.”
“Let me just lock up,” Bo said, leading the visitors out into the street, much to James’s dismay, before locking up. “Let’s go then.” He gave James one last sarcastic smile before leading Y/N away from him.
*
“Do you live with anyone here?”
Y/N and Bo had been talking for a while now, having chosen to take a slow walk instead. He was nice, to her anyway. She felt as though he understood her, despite not knowing a thing about her.
“Nah, I live with my brother,” Came his response, winking at the girl as he ran a hand through his dark hair, enjoying the way she blushed under his gaze.
She knew it was wrong, finding him both attractive and sweet. But he was both of those, and James was neither, not to her at least. Maybe it was because he was the first person to be this kind to her in a long time, or maybe it was the feeling of safety she felt around him, but she was enjoying his company more than anyone else’s.
“Oh, that must be fun!”
Bo chuckled at her enthusiasm, “I suppose so,”
The pair walked up to Bo’s home, guilt filling the girl’s chest each time she let Bo’s hand brush against her own. She simply enjoyed the sparks flying throughout her body, forgetting about the pain she would receive later as a punishment.
“We’re here,” Bo’s words pulled Y/N from her thoughts, almost tripping over a rock as she came back to reality. “Easy there,” Bo shook his head whilst smiling as he caught her, sneakily pulling her body into his own without her realising it was not an accident.
“Thank you,” she blushed, unknowingly allowing herself to melt into his touch, feeling the need to savour every kind and gentle touch she was getting from a stranger.
“No problem, darling,” he smirked, once again enjoying the way she blushed at the nickname he had given her.
Hand still around her waist, Bo guided her into his home.
“Take a seat, I need to get out of this horrible suit.” His words caused a giggle to leave Y/N’s lips, her head nodding as she took a seat on the faded leather couch, watching Bo leave the room to go change.
*
“Sorry to keep ya waiting, Darl.” Bo’s voice startled Y/N, her body jolting in a way that made Bo feel slightly guilty, something that he rarely felt. “Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you.”
“No, it’s okay. It was my fault,” she offered him a weak smile, twiddling with the hem of her short-sleeved t-shirt when he seated himself beside her.
“That looks painful,” his hands cautiously reached out to gently take her hand, fingers lightly running across a hand-shaped bruise that had began to form. “You shouldn’t let him treat you like that,” Bo’s spare hand reached up to her face, hand cupping one cheek which made her flinch, Bo frowning at the action.
“S-sorry,”
Bo had no idea why she was apolgoising to him. It had been him that touched her, but it all made sense in his head.
“Does he hit you?”
Her lack of response was enough for him to understand to full situation.
“I’m sorry,”
“Don’t be, darling.” He sighed, hand moving from her cheek to her neck to pull her head towards his lips, planting a soft kiss on it, something that made her almost cry along with his sweet words.
“Thank you,” her own arms wrapped around his torso, grateful to be given affection without it feeling forced.
*
“You took your time,” James spat as Y/N walked towards him, Bo having quickly headed to the gas station for something that she couldn’t remember the name of. “Were you shagging him or something?”
“N-no,” the nervousness in her voice was something that caused Y/N to cringe, knowing that he wouldn’t believe her.
“Oh, you were.” James’s hands balled into fists as he stalked towards her, ready to attack.
“No, I had to get changed,” Bo’s deep voice startled both of them, James’s fists unclenching immediately.
“Sorry, man. Can’t be too careful with girls like these, can you?” He laughed, trying to play off his previous words as a joke.
“Can’t be too careful with men like yourself either, can you?” Bo’s words seemed innocent, despite having a deeper meaning.
“What?” James snapped. “You told him about us?” He yelled as he turned to face Y/N whose breathing was becoming laboured in fear. “You little bitch!”
As James began to march towards his girlfriend, a tight hand grabbed his fist, spinning him to face the holder only to not be able to see because of a hard punch hitting him in the jaw. The only thing he could hear was a gasp from Y/N and the ringing in his ears as he dropped to the ground.
“Not so tough now, are you?” Bo sniggered. “You can hit a woman but the second a man touches you, you’re out cold. Pathetic,”
Y/N stood frozen to the spot, unsure of how to react.
She hadn’t expected Bo to attack him. In fact, she hadn’t expected him to do anything at all to him or about her situation. Those who knew didn’t care, so why would a stranger?
“You fucking dick!” James screamed, climbing back onto his feet to throw a punch at Bo, one that he barely reacted to.
“Leave him alone!” Y/N yelled, darting between James and Bo, shoving James away from him to the best of her ability.
“You fucking whore. I should’ve known this is what would’ve happened. Actually, I guess I already did.” His words were fast, but his fist moved towards her faster.
Bo was quicker however, grabbing the man’s fist and twisting it behind his back before kicking his legs from beneath him, effectively knocking him to the ground again.
“Vincent!” Bo yelled. “Got one for ya,” both Y/N and James were confused at his words, fear filling them both as a masked man came running out into the street, knife in hand.
Bo took Y/N’s hand, pushing her behind his hand so that she couldn’t see the horror that Vincent was committing to her boyfriend in full glory.
“Y-you killed him…” Her words were quiet, watching from one eye as the man, who she assumed to be Vincent, tugged away the lifeless body. “Are you going to kill me too?”
“You’re safe here, Y/N.” Bo’s words were quiet, praying nobody else heard his true self speaking. “I’ll take care of you. Nobody will ever hurt you again, my sweet little darling.”

Demon Baby Headcanons: A Reference for “The Baby Assignment” Project
It made more sense to post my headcanons as a single thing since I’ll be working on “The Baby Assignment” headcanons in between the “Quick! Kiss Me!” miniseries.
These will be hinted at throughout “The Baby Assignment” pieces and I just wanted to put them all together. Keep in mind these are demon baby headcanons. I don’t really have any idea about angel baby headcanons since I’m card locked in chapter 21 :/
I think I got them all. I can’t really think right now.
Warning for one headcanon about human eating (obviously discouraged in the Devildom). I wanted to put in a section about how the Devildom handles bad parents (hint: logic first, then with justice) but I wasn’t vibing with it. Didn’t do it. No worries.
Demon children are usually born small but develop quickly until they stagnate around “teenage” years. Most babies (ironically) weight at least 6 pounds. It’s VERY rare to get a smaller baby and they must be taken care of EXTREMELY well
Their eyes will open within an hour or two of delivery and will be their lifelong color
Because they’re typically raised in the darkness of the Devildom and learn to flourish in the shadows, demon babies really struggle with exposure to light. It hurts their eyes and makes them cry. They should be shielded from light until they’re about a year old or show increased tolerance. Unless they need glasses or have a birth defect, most children appear to tolerate light with no problem between 4-6 years old.
Hybrid children are an exception (and hard to record for the census given how many subspecies of demon there are and all the magical co-mingling), but full-born demon children typically nest and seek out sources of heat to stay warm until they’re able to walk, talk, and do more for themselves. They tend to attach to the warmer parent.
Devildom childcare advocates recommend swaddling the child in parents’ clothes or clothes of relatives because it keeps them warm and orients their brain to who the main family members are. Pyjamas are a suitable exception but parents and close family should make an effort to show the child their scent
Demon children latch, and not just on their milk-producing parent. Within the first month of life the tiniest baby talons come out and allows the child to latch onto the clothes/skin of their caretakers. Full demon children latch and can maintain their grip/fully support themself in moments of stress, aggravation, fear, and in moments of cuddling. It is still recommended to support the child with an arm because they will get tired. Half-demon children should be supplemented with an arm or carrying device until the full extent of their latching ability is determined
Latching is also critical to scent development. It is an instinct of the child to tuck itself into or around those that will protect them. Unless absolutely sure of their safety, they tend to latch onto the stronger parent. When they feel safe, they usually latch to the other parent or try to make a nest with both
For babies who latch or show interest in latching, being semi-naked or completely naked is recommended. Their parents’ scent is stronger and seems to be preferred this way.
Devildom children don’t really crawl. The best way it can be described is “skitter”. You’ll hear their little claws go. Most parent describe their children moving in a lupine manner, on all fours. they like to stay low to the ground and move faster than human children.
There have been reports of children climbing up cabinets, walls, and onto structures like chandeliers and fans. This is part of their hunting instinct and preps their claws for the different things they will encounter/handle as an adult.
Most demon children develop their “Devildom” vocal chords first and will define parents/family by individual growls/shrieks. If other languages are not encouraged in the household, it is not unusual for a child to stay in this stage until two or three. They typically gain muscle control/development to speak real words by they end of their first year
Devildom babies aren’t as tactile as human babies but will definitely show preferences. It’s a lot easier to figure out what a Devildom baby hates. They’ll be quick to show you.
Devildom babies purr to show contentment and can start purring within 1-2 months of birth. This is one of the first signs of affection.
Other signs of affection include petting the parent or trying to get them in a state of skin-to-skin contact (see latching, above), snuggling, headbutting, showing nesting behaviors, and gently teething on them.
Full-blooded demon children can expect to cut fangs starting at the end of the first year. They will get their first full set of fangs near age two. For children who can only inherit one set of teeth, these fangs will be with them for life. They will naturally harden and lengthen to a full adult set as the body grows.
Mixed demon children are special cases where fangs are concerned because some species have extra sets of fangs, defense mechanisms where they lose and regrow teeth, and other things of that nature. For most species, teeth are seen in the first year of life.
Fangs typically look pointy and shark-like until they get a little older (somewhere between 3-6, it varies amongst children) and the teeth start to differentiate themselves in a “human-like” smile.
Children with fangs should have a greater variety in their diet for the sake of tooth shaping and development. Fangs need to be kept sharp. They can have slightly tougher food or snacks, and may display the “kill shake” when eating. This is normal. Supplement with teething toys as needed, but keep a close eye on them. It’s best to engage them a little like a tug of war to help develop the biting instinct and lengthening of the teeth.
Tails, like fangs, do not have set rules for growth or appearance. Some children of purer lineages get them as early as 3, and some get them as they move into the teenage years. There is no set age for tail development. If the child itches their back/bottom a lot, tends to streak, and shows general aggravation or discomfort, it’s best to take them to a health specialist to see if they’re developing a tail.
It is a similar scenario for wings. The child may cry or scratch a lot. Be prepared for biting and wrestling your children into shirts. Back rubs, cold creams, and soft textures are recommended. Though VERY RARE, some children can develop their wings within the first year of life. It is more normal to see them sprout between the ages of 3-5
Should the child develop wings young, they will take on a life of their own. They will twitch and flap at random times and this is normal. This is the child’s brain working wing movement into the subconscious, just as it would breathing. Devildom children who have wings go on to move them reflexively and this is how that starts.
Keep an eye on your child. They will try to hover and may be able to pull their body weight and travel short distances (about 30 seconds) within the first year of having them. Within two or three years they will have better altitude and some sense of guiding with a bit of a struggle. Prepare to be dive-bombed “accidentally” and for things to be broken in bad landings
There have been reports of full-blooded and half-blooded Devildom children gaining night vision. You can determine if your child has this by whether their eyes grow in the dark. Remember the rule of thumb: the older the demon lineage, the brighter their eyes. If obtained, this stays with them for life. The degree of clarity varies amongst children.
Children may develop horns. All horns start out as tiny velvet nubs once they break the surface of the scalp. Prior to breaking the surface, the child may scratch at their scalp excessively, rub their heads on things, or headbutt tougher surfaces to counteract the pressure and itchiness they feel. Scratching their head or brushing their hair may help but nothing can be done until the horns breach. If the horns do not breach, take them to a healthcare facility. They may need help.
Horns should be watched closely as they start to take shape. Some shapes need to be regularly broken or shaved to prevent the child from harming themselves
Children are driven to develop their horns and may try to shave off the velvet lining by rubbing against family members or hard surfaces. This is normal.
It is not uncommon for children to try to “lock horns” with each other when younger. This is another way to shave off the lining. Some studies indicate that this type of play may make them develop faster. If one of the parents have horns, it is encouraged to do this with great care
Although not scientifically proven, the vast majority of Devildom parents swear by rubbing horns to soothe tantrums and put children to sleep. Seems to work. Interestingly, this trait carries on to later stages of life but brings a greater variety of reactions.
It is not uncommon to see growth spurts and great deals of change between the first 7-13 years of life (7-13 by human standards). After this, the demon will stagnate. Their rate of development can vary but demons live for thousands of years so it takes a very long time for signs of aging to occur
Old records suggest that feasting on human souls or the blood of other magical creatures may accelerate this process but these records cannot be confirmed.
Certain activities, such as participating in a pact, are prohibited until the child is 1,800 or older. Their magical capacity is not there and they cannot legally be bound in a pact. If a sorcerer or sorceress is pushing for a pact or you believe a pact has been made in bad faith, a grievance can be filed with the magical review board. If the other party is found guilty, a piece of them may be taken for consumption for the sake of “fairness”. Repeat offenders will be handled by Lord Diavolo (and are usually eaten. This has been “tentatively” amended due to the effort to unite the three realms)
Children who come from very powerful lineages (for example: one of the Seven Lords) may exhibit that key sin trait from a very early age. Some children will be hungrier than others, some will want more attention than others, some will be far stronger and may accidentally break things. Be prepared and parent accordingly.
Those born to succubus/incubi/naga lineages may show signs of charming or hypnotism from the age of two or when they can form sentences. If a member of your family has a natural susceptibility to this, brush up on negating spells and personal reinforcement charms.

Gentle Loving - Tendou
A little N*FW at the end but mainly fluffy this is purely a self-indulgent fic of sucking tendou’s dick for the first time, featuring somewhat a bodyworship kink aka I want tendou to be loved, also kind of a smut alternative to insecurity i guess? It’s in the same setting and about the same stuff so you can read it as a part two or an alternative lol this also goes along with my mental health headcanons for tendou but I’ll keep it pretty vague
this is pretty damn long btw (2.5k words), I have a lot of tendou feelings ok
Tagging @togasknifes bc she had to sit through me complaining about this, and @pudding-head-kenma bc mingi
TW: very very slight, brief hint at self-harm scarring
Tumblr media
The two of you had been cuddling in bed watching anime for the last couple hours; it was one of your favourite ways to spend time together while indulging in your hobby. You were tucked in his side with your arms wrapped tightly around his waist, and his around you. Every now and then, between comments of the action on the screen, he would lean down and brush kisses on the top of your head. His fingers grazed up and down your arm, setting your skin alight with his warmth. Even after months of being together his touch still managed to provoke the butterflies in your stomach, yet make you feel so calm and safe.
Your turned your head from his chest to look up at him. His wide, glowing eyes were entranced by the flashing of the screen, and his jawline seemed so chiselled from the shadow. The red hair that he shaved off a couple weeks ago had started to grow back in small, fuzzy waves that contrasted his smooth, pale skin. His pink lips were parted slightly and curled up in an anticipating smile; sometimes they even moved along with the words of the characters that he had heard so many times before. You’ve always thought of him as handsome, but right now, he really was the most beautiful sight in the world.
You leaned up from his grasp to plant a gentle kiss on the edge of his jaw, just like you had done many times before. His eyes trailed over to meet yours and gave you a sweet grin, then turning back to his laptop in front of him. Your gaze didn’t move though, as you tucked your head into his neck and placed tentative kisses along the skin, trailing from just below his ear to his collarbone. Your actions didn’t have much intention behind them besides enjoying the feeling of his burning skin against your lips, and his pulse that shook under your touch. As you were about to raise your head to repeat your actions, Tendou’s mouth had captured yours.
After a few first gentle kisses, you placed your hand on the back of his neck, pulling him closer. His tongue brushed against your lower lip, giving you permission to deepen your movements. With each kiss, your nose bumped against his, and his grip on your waist got tighter. This certainly wasn’t the first time the two of you had lost yourself in each other’s affection this way, but you had never progressed further. Whenever things seemed to get a little more heated, one of you would pull away and put out the flame to relight another day.
But there was something in you this time that wanted more. The way that his fingers dug into your hips, how his hair felt so soft in your touch, and how his eyes looked extraordinarily intense. You wanted to pour your love onto him, make him feel all the admiration and desire you felt for him.
Shuffling the laptop away with your hand, you moved your leg over to be seated on his lap. He didn’t seem to refuse your action in any way, so with both hands on either side of his face, you delved back in to the kiss. One of his hands had found its way into your hair, tugging it ever-so-slightly to keep your head close to his. You were both becoming breathless, but you’d rather suffocate in his love than stop.
One hand of yours moved to his hip, pushing his shirt upwards and stroking the skin under. He shuddered a little, either out of surprise or nervousness, but he didn’t stop you. Shuffling the shirt up even higher, your hand made it way to his exposed abdomen. Since you had started your journey up his body, his kisses had lost sync with yours; the steady tempo the two of you had created was gone, and he let out shaky breaths between each attempt. As your hand had moved slightly closer towards his chest, he swiftly moved to grab your wrist, stopping it.
“I-I’m sorry, did I go too far? We can stop if you want,” you stuttered, pulling back from him. He stared at you with a complex look, as if he was debating with himself.
“No, don’t be sorry. That was my fault. I...” his eyes didn’t meet yours as he spoke. You could tell he had more to say, but he appeared to be struggling with the words.
“What’s on your mind? You can talk to me, it’s ok,” you whispered to him, stroking his cheek with the hand that still rested there.
“Nothing, nothing, it’s fine,” he rushed out, spreading a fake wide smile on his face. He made a move to sit up further, but you stopped him, giving him a look that he knew he couldn’t escape this one like he had tried each time in the past. His gaze filtered through various points in the room but never once on you, thinking over the rush of thoughts in his head.
He let out an exasperated sigh and let his head fall back against his headboard, squeezing his eyes shut.
“I just...,” he sighed again and threw his arms over his eyes to cover his face from your concerned gaze, “fuck, I just don’t want you to take my clothes off and not like what you see,” he spoke fast, as if it would stop you from hearing his vulnerability. You sat still, quiet for a moment as you processed what he said.
“I would never not like how you look, Satori,” you murmured, somewhat to yourself in confusion. “I think your beautiful, and I might not have ever seen you with your shirt off but I’ve kinda already got the gist of what you look like. I chose you, and love you knowing what you look like, and I love it Satori, I do.” you stroked the back of his arms that covered his face in an attempt to soothe him. Honestly, you were just as nervous as him, but you put on a brave face to guide him through this like he always did for you. “I want to show you how perfect you are to me, if you’ll let me?”
Slowly, his arms lifted away from his face and rested by his side; his fingers reaching your thighs and lightly brushed over them. When he didn’t respond, you leaned in again and, delicately, placed a kiss on him. As you pulled away, he bit his lip and nodded. You confirmed with him that you could continue, then kissed him again, before laying him down so he was flat on the bed.
“Just let me know if you want me to stop, ok? We don’t go too far, I promise,” you kissed him once more, before tucking your head down to place kisses along his collarbones to distract him a little as you started to pull his shirt up from the bottom. He, shakily, helped you take it off and laid back down on the bed, clenching his eyes shut once more.
While he wasn’t as active as he used to be in high school, you could still see how years worth of training had moulded his body. He wasn’t ripped or buff by any means, but his shoulders were broad and his arms looked strong; they tensed and relaxed as his fingers fiddled with the duvet under him to calm himself. You placed a hand on his chest and felt as it shifted with every breathe of his. You had spent so much time resting your head on this part of his body, so it already took up a lot of room in your thoughts. His skin was soft and hot as your hand trailed down to his stomach. You leaned down and pressed a firm kiss to the left side of his chest below his collarbones, and slowly, dragged your lips across his torso. One of your hands moved across the bed to find his, and gripped it tightly as your mouth explored his body. He let out deep breath, quivering breaths with each touch, but he slowly relaxed under you. His eyelids remained closed, but their grip softened and the muscles in his face went slack.
“I love you,”
Your mouth worked further down his body, tasting at the skin just above the beginning of his jeans. Moving across, you nipped at his prominent hips, making his jump slightly.
“Sorry,” you giggled at his reaction, stroking your thumb over his knuckles.
“No, no, that was nice, you can carry on, please,” he seemed to be a little amused himself by his reaction, smiling along with you for the first time in a while. Your free hand reached up to find the button of his jeans.
“Can I?” he nodded at your question, so you steadily began to undo his jeans and pull them off his body. Before you could pull them any lower than the tops of his thighs, his hand came to stop you once more, but his grip was gentler, more relaxed than last time.
“You’re gonna see some things but we can talk about it later, just...ignore it for now,” he mumbled, letting go of your hand so you could continue. You didn’t know what he was hinting at, but you didn’t push further. With his help, you pulled off his jeans and let them fall on the floor beside the bed.
You were familiar with his long legs from the lower thigh downwards due to seeing him often in his volleyball uniform during school, but you still took the time to run your fingers down them, massaging them slightly and feeling his muscles flex under them.
“You’re so pretty, Satori,” you said as you leaned down to, once again, trail your kisses up his legs. “You’re doing so well baby.”
His breath trembled more the closer you go to the tops of his thighs, in a mix of pleasure and restlessness. With his free hand now stroking over your hair, he took in all the senses you gave; the warm, wet feeling on your lips on his body, the heat from your scalp in his hand and the smell of your lotion that he was so familiar with. He was so nervous, but his body couldn’t help but fall into your touch,
“I’m going to fall asleep at this rate,” he chuckled in a low voice. You apologised for your slow movements, but he rejected your words, “this is the best day of my life, I don’t know what your apologising for,” his voice was light with laughter, setting a smile on your face too. He had settled down in your motions, so you took this chance to slowly pull his boxers down his legs, letting them meet his jeans on the floor.
You didn’t move for a few moments as you took in the sight of his, now, naked frame. You attention was drawn to his half-hard cock that lay on low on his stomach, and how the tip was the prettiest pink that complimented his complexion. Your eyes drifted over to the areas of his hips and tops of his thighs that were once covered by his underwear. You fingers moved hesitantly to skim the scars that littered his pale skin; they all seemed particularly old, although some were darker and larger than others. Moving down, you kissed each mark without hurry, moving inwards closer and closer to his crotch. You looked up at him to check on his expression; his eyes will still closed but his lips were parted slightly, damp from running his tongue over them.
You placed one, testing kiss on the base of his cock as he let out a deep sigh. Enjoying his reaction, you left warm, open-mouthed kisses to the tip. As you pulled back slightly, you noticed how much harder his dick had gotten through your actions. Wrapping your hand around the base, you noticed how your fingers barely found their way around it, and how your hand felt so small compared to him. You gripped his length a little harder, receiving a quiet, raspy moan. With the moisture from your previous exploration, you easily moved your hand up and down his member; each breath of Tendou’s released with a whine as his head tiled back further.
Taking it one step further, you lifted his cock, fitting your mouth over the tip and slowly sunk down on him. The hand that had been in your hair was now gripping tightly, almost to the point of pain. His mouth was wide open, letting a strained groan leave his throat. You hollowed out your cheeks and continued, moving up and down at a steady pace.
The muscles in his stomach began to tense as you worked him; his body quivering in the pleasure. Your free hand came to rest on his stomach, stroking the skin to settle him down. He had never felt anything like this before. All he could do was focus on the way your head moved and how hot you felt around him. He felt overwhelmed in the best way possible - the closest he had ever felt to this before was a panic attack, but this feeling was much more soothing, warming and addicting. His eyes started to let little tears run down his cheeks as he reached his high; his back arching off the bed slightly and his hips rutting into your mouth. He wanted to warn you but he couldn’t seem to form any words in this moment.
With a loud, strangled moan he finished in your throat. You did your best to take all of his release, which was a little difficult due to the suddenness, but you dragged out his high with slow movements. He pulled slightly on the back of your head as a sign that he was finished so you lifted off of him and crawled up to meet his face, sitting above his stomach. Your hand brushed the tears away that stuck to his cheeks as you checked over him. His eyes were lidded in a sleepy manner and he wore a little smile. You bend down to press kisses over his face, beginning at his forehead, then his cheeks, moving to his nose and finally his lips. Resting your forehead on his, you ran your fingers through his short hair.
“You did so well, my love, I’m proud of you,” you praised in a soft, quiet tone. He chuckled in response,
“I didn’t do anything, but thank you.” With one final kiss, you lifted your body off of his, laying back on the bed with your body leaning on the headboard. You opened your arms for him, and he rolled over to bury his face in your neck; his long arms wrapped around you as you held him.
“I love you, every part of you,” you whispered into his hair.
“I love you too. Thank you.”

Didyme, Part 2: Something, Something, Plato's Allegory of the Cave
Continuing from here, and we’re doing sub-parts for this bit. I’m genuinely surprised I had this much to say. (And fun fact, I almost lost the entire goddamn post, but fortunately I was copy-pasting into Word just in case. Not today, Satan.)
2.1. What Canon Tells Us
Didyme’s murder by Aro (and with Caius’ apparent assistance, either during or afterwards), is only mentioned on the page in Life and Death, the 10th Anniversary gender-swapped version of Twilight. Edythe/Edward mentions it briefly when discussing the painting of the leaders Carine/Carlisle brought back from Volterra, but it’s just background information with little narrative weight. I bring it up just to highlight Caius’ involvement and knowledge -- I’ll get back to that.
Now, here’s the “canon” backstory we have to work with. Per the illustrated guide, Didyme was Aro’s younger sister, and he turned her at some point after meeting Marcus, Caius, and Athenadora. Interestingly, the Guide doesn’t say anything about Aro returning to Didyme out of brotherly love; apparently he just wanted to see if she would have a powerful gift like his, only to be underwhelmed (”disappointed,” according to his Guide entry) by her actual ability -- she made people happy just by being around them. Then she and Marcus fell in love, sharing “the strongest romantic bond of any of the Volturi” (from Marcus’ Guide entry), and this prompted a suddenly very single Aro to seek out his own mate, Sulpicia. The Guide says Didyme “distracted” Marcus from Aro’s goals, and that the pair eventually made plans to split off on their own, leading Aro to murder Didyme so he could hold onto Marcus and his valuable gift. Although nothing written so far suggests that Aro even liked his sister, the Guide does state that Aro “truly loved her” and that his grief upon killing Didyme was genuine.
Apparently Caius’ role in all is was something Meyer thought up later, because none of the leaders’ Guide entries mention him being in on it. (You can’t see me, but I’m staring pointedly at Part One.)
2.2. Fuck Canon, Actually
(This just seemed like the funniest place for a cut. Continued below~)
I’ll be honest with you, person who’s persistent/unfortunate enough to still be here: very little about this murder scenario makes sense to me. I’m going to start with the “disappointing” nature of Didyme’s gift and that it was supposedly much less useful to Aro than Marcus’, because that’s just...stupid, frankly, and there’s no way Aro would have missed the inherent utility of Didyme’s gift. I don’t even have to read into anything to get this idea -- the Guide itself shows us how useful it is! It says right there in Marcus’ entry that Aro went off to turn Didyme, and returned with his sister, “along with the first members of the guard -- vampires who were drawn to Didyme’s aura of happiness.” That is a direct quote.
Just -- I practically shrieked when I read that. You’re telling me that Didyme’s gift was the stated reason their coven got its first subordinates, and I’m supposed to believe that Aro thought that was disappointing? Fuck off! Fuck off!! Even if Didyme’s happiness aura isn’t as powerful as Corin’s opium haze, well, Aro doesn’t have Corin yet, does he? He has every reason in the world to want to keep Didyme around, drawing other vampires to his cause -- even if most of those vampires aren’t gifted or skilled enough to join the guard, it’s still good PR.
At this early stage in the Volturi’s rise to power, it isn’t a good time to lose Didyme -- or any of his inner coven, really. Yet Aro apparently considered her disposable enough that he killed her. I can’t square this with what we know about Aro: that he’s still coherent despite holding god-knows how many people’s lives in his head; that he’s very intelligent; that he’s cunning, charming, and persuasive. Aro, once he learned they were thinking about leaving, would have tried to talk to Didyme and Marcus and done everything in his power to convince them to stay just a bit longer, until the Volturi’s position was more secure. And maybe he did; the timeline of all this is hazy, but nothing in the Guide suggests that Aro jumped straight to duplicity and murder. Clearly, though, whatever negotiations or arguments he presented failed. So what does their desire to leave the Volturi at this critical stage say about Didyme, or Marcus for that matter?
2.3. What It Says About Didyme and Marcus (Mostly Headcanon)
Brace yourself, because we’re into full headcanon territory now. To follow me, please refer to @therealvinelle ‘s meta about the larger mission of the Volturi and why they’re necessary, because I’m starting from the perspective that the Volturi are ultimately a force working in vampires’ and humans’ favor. While Meyer and the Guide would have you believe that Aro’s just power-hungry, actually looking at the impact of the Volturi and the benefits of enforcing secrecy shows that his broader vision isn’t just world domination, but establishing a world in which vampires and humans can both thrive and endure. There’s no way the rest of the inner coven was unaware of this goal; we know Aro talks a lot, so he’s certainly talked his coven’s ears off about this.
Now, we know very little about Marcus and what he was like before he was all dead inside. Based on what would be a logical balance of personalities, with Aro as lead decision-maker and Caius as ruthless enforcer, it seems likely that Marcus was originally the voice of reason and/or mercy. I also think Marcus would have had a strong sense of duty. The Guide says that Aro was the first friend Marcus had as a vampire, and I believe that Marcus cared about him very much and was committed to the Volturi. I think he would have been genuinely conflicted about leaving, especially considering the stabler, safer world the Volturi have been striving to build, and which they haven’t yet secured. Again, it’s a very bad time for any of the leadership to split off -- but in the end, Marcus and Didyme are going to do it anyway.
What for, though? Why leave? @theoriginalcarnivorousmuffin has an interesting take on that question here: that Didyme saw that she and Marcus would be locked into the Volturi life and a thankless existence for eternity and tried to opt out while she still could. I like it a lot, it’s a great post and that scenario makes sense, but the tone of it feels...too forgiving. Maybe that’s because I’m evil. But the way I see it, given the magnitude of the Volturi’s mission, and its (at best) very tenuous grip on power at the time Marcus and Didyme plan to leave (they haven’t even defeated the Romanians yet), jeopardizing the entire operation so that they can pursue their romance unburdened strikes me as...well, fundamentally selfish on some level, so much that I find myself side-eyeing Didyme and Marcus for it. Although to be clear, it’s not the desire to live their own lives apart from the Volturi that I find selfish, just the timing of their departure.
Honestly, I’d like not to vilify another female character if I don’t have to. Given everything I’ve just said, I see Didyme in much the same way as I see Bella: not a bad person, but someone with definite selfish tendencies. At best, she’s likely short-sighted or naive if she doesn’t see how leaving the Volturi at this stage is fucking them over in a big way. However, I hesitate to read into the happiness aura as a straightforward indication of Didyme’s fundamental goodness; I think she probably was kind, charming, and delightful to be around, hence the nature of her gift -- but that capacity for selfishness is still there. (I’m certain Meyer wants us to take her gift as proof of Didyme’s goodness, to reinforce how evil Aro is for killing her...but I think I’ve made my disdain for what Meyer wants me to think pretty clear.)
2.4. MURDER MOST FOUL
I am not saying it was justifiable or okay for Aro to murder his sister. I’m really not. It’s actually better, from a character standpoint, that it isn’t okay -- that Aro has to carry this with him for the rest of his life while Marcus sits in the throne next to him, reduced to a husk, so that in effect Aro has lost them both after all. It’s got that Greek tragedy element @theoriginalcarnivorousmuffin mentioned in her post. (Even better from that standpoint, the Guide implies that Aro found Chelsea relatively soon after killing Didyme, which compounds the tragedy.) I mean, it’s terrible, and it hurts me because I love Aro, but it’s compelling stuff.
What I am saying is, I can see how their insistence on leaving might have deeply hurt and offended him. And that brings me to my issue with the calculated murder scenario the Guide gives us -- I still think Didyme’s gift is too valuable for Aro to throw away by killing her in cold...venom (or whatever), even as the price for keeping Marcus in the fold. Plus, there’s the fact that Aro does love Didyme, and I imagine her gift makes it very difficult for people to think of harming her...when they’re calm, anyway.
Yeah, the only way I can really see the murder happening is if Aro killed Didyme in the heat of an argument about her leaving, possibly even by accident -- except you can’t accidentally kill a vampire, can you? It’s a very deliberate process wherein you have to dismember them and burn every piece, which also means it probably takes long enough that any irrational, overwhelming rage would wear off before you were done. But now that you’ve started....
I mean, at that point it would certainly be awkward to put your half-rubble sister back together, and Aro would be in a whole other load of shit even if he did. It’s possible, given what we’re told, that Aro could have lashed out and yanked Didyme’s head off before snapping out of it, only to realize that his sole option now is to finish the job. If he doesn’t kill Didyme now, she and Marcus won’t just leave, they’ll be sworn enemies of Aro from then on. And thanks to Didyme’s gift being the draw for a lot of the guard, and the inherently bad look of a leader who would brutally attack his own sister, a chunk of the guard would probably leave with them, destroying Aro’s plans. No, the only way to salvage it is to follow through.
Then Aro has to call in Caius for help with the cover-up, because it wasn’t actually planned and it’s just pure luck that no one walked in on the murder as it was happening.
And maybe Aro learns a hard lesson about learning to let people walk away, leaving the possibility open that they could be drawn in again. Because if Aro had just waited, he would have found Chelsea, and with her gift he could have had Marcus and Didyme back again.
Assuming everything didn’t fall apart as soon as they left, of course. But that’s a whole other what-if scenario.

Sharing a bath with Tom hardy?. I really like Basket Case, maybe part two? ♥️
Okay, I loved this idea 😍 I did this as a headcanon, hope that’s okay!
Tumblr media
After the overwhelming admission of your feelings followed by the consummation of them, it was safe to say that Tom was insatiable.
You’d always known he was a beast in bed
Even if he weren’t one to brag (at least not to you), these things have a way of getting out and it wasn’t unusual for you to follow him to parties and end up listening to one of his ex-lovers recount their lust-filled nights in an effort to either scare you away from him or make you somehow get on their side and start shipping them together?
Obviously, even if you didn’t have feelings for Tom, your position as his best friend was taken too seriously for you to try to get him back together with anyone who wasn’t good enough for him
The fact that no one ever seemed good enough should have tipped you off of your own feelings sooner
Still, no harm was done, since you ended up together after all
But if there was one thing you could confirm after those experiences and the night you had just spent with your new boyfriend was that those women were absolutely right
And you kinda understood their desire to get back in his pants after he’d made you cum against the wall, over the table, and on the sofa, before dragging you to bed for a few more rounds.
At last, he seemed to have deemed that you’d both had enough, and proposed a bath so you could clean yourselves and relax together.
After everything you’d been through, you really should have known better.
“C’mon, love, you can do this.” He had whispered in the quiet bathroom as he guided your movements to ride him in the bathtub.
“Just wanna feel you squeezing me one more time.”
The fact that he had said that the last two times he’d made you cum over his cock seemed to have slipped out of his mind.
“Been waiting so long to fuck you, now can’t get enough of you and this sweet little cunt.”
You hoped you’d never get used to that dirty mouth of his because as it were, you felt like you could cum just from the sin he spilled every time he got his hands on you, now.
Half of the water that was once cleaning you was already on the floor now, and you knew you’d have to dry it up once you decided to leave the bath
But for now, all you could focus on was Tom’s words and the feeling of his cock stretching you open as you rhythmically bounced up and down, up and down
And omg, can you imagine the way his eyes would follow your breasts as they bounced on his face?
He’d look so over the moon, eyes fully turned into hearts as he watched you fuck yourself on his dick and came to terms with the realization that you were his now
Every time he remembered the way you’d announced it, that’s you’d be his, he got even harder
It was one of the main reasons why he hadn’t been able to stop fucking you since then
And when you noticed the way he gazed up so lovingly to you, it just made you more eager to pleasure the both of you, so you picked up your movements, making sure to roll your hips every time your navel met his
And he full-on gasped, holding you even more tightly while saying something like
“Fuck love, keep moving like that, and I’ll paint your walls one more time”
Needless to say, it was all it took to tip you over the edge (again!)
You didn’t know how the fuck he was able to cum so many times, but you thanked the stars (that he made you see) for that!

Fem!S/O; Meetings, Feelings and Futures: Kenma, Aone and Kyoutani
Tumblr media
Thank you so much @kara-grayson04 for requesting!! 💞💞 I hope you enjoy it and that its good enough!!
Also thank you for requesting for Aone that man makes me S O F T 🥺🥺🥺
So I’m going to be introducing a master taglist, but it'll be limited to about 40-50 people, so please don’t hesitate to ask!! SMAU’s will have their own separate, unlimited taglist (unless Tumblr has some limitation I don’t know about) that you'd have to ask to be added to separately.
The headcanons may be a bit shorter than usual just because of it being multiple characters but I hope you guess still enjoy it! Feedback is always welcome!
As always, requests are: O P E N
Kenma
You two met during high school, through Kuroo of course. see, rooster boy thought that having another game obsessed friend would make Kenma come out of his shell a little bit
little did he know that it wouldn’t change a thing apart from the fact that he now had two nerds to look after
at first, Kenma didn't really think much of it, you were just another person who befriended Kuroo and would most likely see around quite a lot.
when he saw you, he would be polite and node or mumble his greetings but that was about it at first. You were similar in a way and honestly Kuroo almost regretted it.
almost
Kenma didn't know when it happened, all he knew was that one day he just saw you and blushed like a mad man after realising just how beautiful you were. He didn’t know why you, a simple acquaintance (at least) suddenly became the only thought in his mind
he loved how patient you were with him, even when he was being bluntly analytical of everything, you would simply smile whereas someone else would have complained or just left
he remembers speaking to you about his distaste for hot and cold weather, saying there was not in between. one was too hot, the other too cold and you just nodded along
“That's why I prefer spring and autumn, they're the transitioning seasons so the weather can be more balanced.”
Kenma is just shook that you didn’t point out the obvious that well, one is summer and the other is winter.
you two just starting talking a lot more and Kenma starting falling deeper and deeper and so you did you
although you managed to keep it hidden a bit better but not by much
you two would always look over each others shoulders when playing games together, trying to help each other out and occasionally will discuss games seriously; their design, animation, mechanics basically a range of things
you two became friends quickly after actually talking to each other and his feelings only really became clear when you were absent from school one day
he started texting you straight away, hearing from Kuroo that you were ill and home because your parents still had to work. Surprisingly, he’d managed to convince Kuroo to let him check up on you after practice since your parents worked late
both were shocked seeing you covered in blankets with a red nose, teared up eyes (from all the sneezing) and an exhausted aura opening the door, Kuroo quickly getting Kenma to take you to your room whilst he looked for food to give you
Kenma made sure you were covered with a blanket, grabbing a cold towel to place on your forehead. But rather than sit in silence, he because quietly talking about the newest game, smiling when you became discussing it as well
honestly this boy was falling in deep
collabs are a must when you two create your youtube channels in University, whether it was gaming, challenges or vlogs, around half of yours and his videos always include the other person
your fans are starting to ship you to together, Kuroo being their leader
little did they know you two had been dating since your third year, Kenma having awkwardly gotten his sims character to ask your sims character out on a date and then asking
“So... should we go out for real or?”
you agreed instantly of course
Uni had gone passed easily and your relationship remained strong throughout the years, going on dates every Thursday (both in real life and on any game you could manage)
when you weren't going out on dates, you two were lounging in your shared room or sitting in the living room of the house playing games or watching movies
Life got better after he proposed
he did it after graduation in the celebratory dinner, with help from Kuroo and some of you University friends
you could tell he was slightly embarrassed but luckily it was a private dinner in your residence so he wasn't that bothered. Of course he wanted it to be private but he also lowkey wants to show your relationship off like
“Look at this beautiful woman I am asking to marry me. Like if she says yes i’ll be shook.”
and he was.
Your daughter came along soon after the wedding which was much more simple than anyone expected. You two got married in the back garden of your childhood friends in front of close family and friends.
Pregancy was difficult, but it did give you time to actually play some games rather than having to work all the time plus your YouTube Channel became a family channel
Kenma was forever supportive, reading up on what to expect and how he can help. He never really asserted himself as the type of partner to tell you not to do something, he knew you understood your limitations and so left you to it
but he was always by your side, no matter what
And when Kanna was born, you both fell in love all over again. She was the perfect mixture of you both, with Kenma’s shy, introvert personality and your socialable, patient personality
honestly Kenma was glad of it, knowing that being a major introvert can sometimes be harmful, but he knew his daughter would be fine.
if not then BET he will do everything he can to make sure any problem gets solved quickly
his favourite thing though?
Coming home from work to find his two girls asleep on the sofa
Kanna cuddled up ontop of her mother and you holding your daughter securely in your arms, the two of you breathing softly
calm and serene
it was that he though of when he came up to you one night, wrapping his arm around your waist gently and kissing your shoulder
“...Lets have another.”
Aone
You were on the train when he first saw you properly. Of course he’d seen you around school but didn't really think much of it since his school mates never really spoke to him anyway
something about him being too intimidating to approach (rude)
BUT on the day when the two of you met, the train was way too crowded and you were honestly suffering. getting crushed between bodies or walls daily was getting exhausting and you couldn;t take much more
thankfully you spotted an empty seat and Aone. It wasn;t that you were hesitant because of him, no, you just didn’t want to disturb him if it happened to be that he liked to be alone. but it wouldn;t hurt to ask, right?
so carefully you walked across the train and smiled at him politely, nodding towards the seat next to him
“hello Aone, would you mind if I sat next to you?”
HOLY SHIT HE WAS SOFT IMMEDIATELY
this baby nodded and stiffened as you sat down, he couldn’t believe you’d actually done it and that you seemed so calm and relaxed. did he not scare you??
the two of you sat in silence but that was fine with Aone because someone was sitting next to him
both of you were surprised when you got off at the same stop, you smiling shyly up at him as he let you off first. you were surprised once again to find him walking the same way as you
you walked next to him silently, enjoying his company until it was time to head your separately ways
“Well, thank you for letting me side beside you Aone, I really appreciate it... do you... think I could sit next to you again.. tomorrow?”
he quickly nodded, blush rising from his next to the tips of his ears
you two soon fell into a pattern, whenever you would see each other you would smile and wave, him returning the kind gesture - even at school time which made a lot of people curious and weary
eventually you began waiting for him after practice, quietly waiting outside the gym and smiling when he would come out. he would always nod, giving you a look that you recognised as him saying “please wait a few more minutes” as he went up to get changed
will forever be surprised to see you still standing outside waiting for him
it would always be the same, quiet routine with Aone allowing you on the train first so you could sit first or get the last seat and he would simply stand in front of you, watching over you like a guardian of some sort
on occasions where the train was fully packed, he would gently guide you to a rail - oddly thankful for his intimidating nature since it would lead to people making room for you
once it starts to get darker, Aone refuses to let you walk home alone and goes out of his way just to make sure you get home safely.
you were grateful for it though, simply because of the company
your parents met him once and they loved him. it was like they could also see his kind nature, smiling at him and always thanking him for getting their daughter home safely
he would always nod and bow politely
honestly he adores you because goddamn it finally someone isn't scared of him
goes out of his way to ensure your safety, happiness and comfort. listens to your every word. sometimes he’ll respond to you and sometimes he speaks with his eyes but either way he (and you) are content in each others presence
your relationship moved quickly, dating after only a few months of properly knowing each other but neither of you would have it either way
you supported him in his volleyball career as much as you could, coming to his games or cheering him on when you couldn't make it. If playing is what he wanted to do alongside work then you were happy as long as he was
will bring you flowers and replaces those flowers once they die
all he asks is for kisses
despite the quick beginning, it took four years for you to get married and another two for you to have your children.
the wedding was beautiful, all your friends and family there, even his old high school friends (including the third years from back in his second year)
everyone was happy that this guy finally found love
the pregnancy was unplanned, and you were both shocked.
you’d missed your period and decided to take a test, Aone came home to you on the sofa, holding some baby shoes that you had gotten during the day to surprise him with
he was s h o o k
imagine both your surprise when you found out you were having twins
when you went into labour, Aone was terrified that his children would be scared of him, but his thoughts were quickly shoved aside when he heard his son cry out. and then his daughter
his heart was beating so fast, man was thankful they were in a hospital.
your son, Reo, calmed in your arms leaving your daughter, Aoi, to her father.
she cooed instantly and was labelled daddy’s girl
straight away
Reo was a lot like Aone in that he was oddly silent, even for a baby, you guessed he must have picked up on it and just went with it
Aoi was more like you, the talker of the pair and smiles all around
it was one day when he was watching the three of you play that he chuckled to himself, smiling happily.
Once upon a time his concern was that no one would sit next to him on the train
now it was that one day his daughter would get a boyfriend
god bless that boy
“Aoi, boys who are friends are okay. Boyfriends are banned.”
“Daddy... what’s a boyfriend?”
Kyoutani
Okay so ya’ll met under bad circumstances. and by that I mean he shoved passed you and knocked you on your ass, not even sparing a glance to you as you walked passed.
a bunch of the male students were immediately shouting at him for being rude to a girl, female students coming to help you up whilst the culprit just sulked off somewhere
you were a first year, friends to Kindaichi and Kunimi and also lowkey manager of the team
you had heard that Iwaizumi was having to take up some of the role and felt bad, since you were there watching your boys anyway you thought might as well so you spoke to him and Oikawa about applying for the position
You were SHOCKED to find him there, like how did a guy that unsociable get into a club??
you soon found out about the teams troubles with him and realised that it’s just his personality
but he was good at the game, despite stealing a few of Kindaichi’s sets and just being plain rude. But you loved how he was with Oikawa, laughing quietly to yourself as the older boy pouted when he was being ignored
Kyoutani thought nothing of you at first, you were just some girl he’d bumped into but then he saw you in club and was annoyed
did you follow him here to scold him cause it wouldn’t work
but then he saw how kind and attentive you actually were and boy was soon blushing (but only slightly)
it pissed him off whenever you went to Iwaizumi or Oikawa because obviously he saw Iwaizumi as the big dog and Oikawa was.... Oikawa so gross
was also surprised when you came over to give him a towel, because he thought he’d scared you off with his rudeness
blinks before nodding and wiping he face, feeling your presence move before swiftly catching your wrist
“Sorry... ‘bout before”
you just smiled and nodded at him, when he let you go (he was receiving looks off of Iwaizumi otherwise he could have stayed like that staring into your eyes for the rest of practice) you went back to your friends, laughing at Kindaichi as he demanded for information
Oddly enough he became a lot calmer when you were around because you were call him out for his mistakes
“That wasn’t your set Kyoutani, you need to wait otherwise your spikes won’t be as strong as they usually are and might get blocked easily.”
honestly you didn’t know if your words were actually helping but he seemed to take them in a wait for Oikawa to actually set to him
it didn’t work all the time however, in actual matches he got so into it that he just forgets and acts out
Oikawa and Iwaizumi sometimes look to you to calm him down, again sometimes it works and sometimes all you can do is shrug and say you tried
no one is sure of when you two started hanging out or dating but it just kinda happened
like one day you just kinda went “yeah he’s my boyfriend” and visa versa
he would walk you home on the grounds of Iwaizumi telling him to
you walked home alone because Kindaichi and Kunimi didn't live near you and Iwaizumi just turned to mad dog like “Walk her home. We need to make sure our manager gets home safely.”
everyone thought he’d put up a fight but he just turned, grabbed your hand and starting walking.
will continue to hold your hand and actually intertwine your fingers if he sees other boys walking past you two
kinda like a claim? but a sweet one like
“back off she’s mine”
you were sad when, a year later, he graduated but he always came back to walk you home at the end of day like routine
like I said before, no one was sure when you two started dating they just knew he was soft for you but still growly and glaring
you didn't mind though because he treated you gently
you got pregnant after you left high school and starting working. well, a few years into your job you got pregnant.
totally unplanned and definitely outside of marriage
your mothers were like “excuse me. what”
he proposed a few days later
I say proposed
you two were led in bed and he just turned around and said “you wanna get married or what?”
you legit just nodded all chill like and said “sure why not”
instant grin and kisses because he loves the playfulness
you ended up having a son who was exactly like his father and finally
after all these years
Kyoutani got a taste of his own medicine
“He’s such a fucking little shit.”
“He’s your son smh.”
Itsuki was born with a scowl on his face, Kyoutani was sure of it. he swears to whatever god he can that he saw it with his own eyes
but there are some moments where he remembers just how much he loves his son
but in all seriousness, seeing his son take after him so much fills him with joy and he’s so happy that they have that little mad dog
any future children (daughters) will be well protected
“Mommy... I want a baby brother.”
Kyoutani just sits there grinning
“You heard the rascal.”

STARISH with an Autistic S/O
The next few posts are going to kinda be self-indulgent since I'm autistic and I've been reading a few similar scenarios to this one. I figured I'd write the next few posts since I haven't seen anything for Utapri regarding this. I'd be more than happy to clarify any terms that are unfamiliar if need be, just ask politely and I'll do my best to explain or find some sources to help you better understand what I mean.
Anyway, with that out of the way, on with the scenario!
-------------
Natsuki Shinomiya -
- I actually low-key headcanon him as neurodiverse.
- But that's not really important lol
- Anyway, it might take some explaining for him to understand, but once he does, he's absolutely supportive of you!
- If you're non-verbal or semi-verbal, he'll give you a notebook and a pen that are tied to your special interest.
- If you prefer using sign language, he's more than happy to learn and might even teach the rest of STARISH some words as well.
- He might forget from time to time some of the things that make you uncomfortable (especially if it has to do with touch), so you might have to remind him if he does make you uncomfortable.
- But this soft bean doesn't mean it, so he'll apologize right away if he learns that he made you uncomfortable.
- He'd never judge you for your stims, especially your happy stims.
- If one of your stims is you singing the "Piyo-chan" song or any of his songs, oml he'd be so excited!
- Would absolutely let you stim with his hands or his hair if you asked
- Please, please, PLEASE infodump about your special interest to him!
- He loves hearing your voice, and you look so adorable to him when you're excited about something.
- He might panic a little during your meltdowns, but is pretty good at helping you calm down once he himself is calm.
- Tbh he's more helpful if being touched helps you calm down, but he does have a soothing voice and will give you the space you need if being touched will make your meltdowns worse.
- Satsuki may be a bit more intense, but he'll try to tone it down for you when he's present.
Tokiya Ichinose -
- He suspected that there was something different about you, he just didn't know why until you told him.
- Once you do tell him, he becomes more protective of you.
- He knows a little bit of sign language, so if you happen to be non-verbal or semi-verbal, he'll be more than happy to improve his sign language while helping you communicate with him easier.
- He's the type of person who likes learning, so he wouldn't mind at all if you infodump about your special interest.
- Wouldn't judge you for your stims, but would be very concerned if you have harmful stims (i.e. picking at your skin, banging your head against the wall, etc.)
- He'd absolutely buy you stim toys if you use them, especially if they help to keep you from your harmful stims.
- He stays mostly calm and collected during your meltdowns and guides you to a place where the two of you can be alone while you recover.
- Though he's not the best at physical contact, he'll hold your hands while helping you take deep breaths if touch helps you recover from your meltdowns.
Cecil Aijima -
- Another one you'd have to explain it to. Mainly because conditions like autism aren't really talked about much where he's from.
- Once he understands, he becomes more protective of you.
- He's very appreciative of your stims, since it makes it easier for him to tell how you're feeling.
- He'd be concerned about any harmful stims you might have and try to give you stim toys or stuffed animals to keep you from harming yourself while you stim.
- Would absolutely MELT if you stim while listening to or humming one of his or STARISH's songs.
- Would definitely get you stim toys (hey, he's a prince, ofc he's loaded) and might even buy a couple for himself to try to calm himself down from time to time
- He'd be honored to be your voice for you if you are non-verbal or semi-verbal and you wanted him to speak for you.
- He loves hearing the sound of your voice, especially when you're excited about something, so he wouldn't mind if you infodump about your special interest to him
- While he might initially panic when you have a meltdown, he does get used to it after a while and is now surprisingly calm when you have one
- He will gladly hold you tight while rocking you if being touched helps you recover from a meltdown.
- If not, he keeps his distance while you recover. His voice is really soothing too, so he'd help guide you while you take deep breaths to calm down.
Ren Jinguji -
- He might get a bit offended at some of your behaviors, especially if you're like me and not very good with eye contact when talking to someone.
- Of course he'll feel bad about that once you explain why you act the way you do.
- He's really good at remembering what bothers you and what your special interest is.
- Will definitely buy you stim toys or anything related to your special interest
- He learned sign language from one of his many tutors and would be happy to use it to communicate with you if you are non-verbal or semi-verbal. He'll also teach you if you don't know sign language and will get you a notebook and a pen for you to write to him if that's easier for you.
- Please stim with his hair or his hands. It makes him melt every time you do.
- He'd be worried about any harmful stims you have, but he finds your happy stims absolutely adorable.
- He'd feel bad if you took any of his teasing or sarcasm seriously and be more conscious about limiting that around you or gently explaining that he wasn't serious.
- "Oh, don't worry, Little Lamb. I was only trying to mess with you a bit. Please don't take it seriously."
- He finds you super cute when you're excited about something, so he'd never be upset if you infodump about your special interest
- He's one of the best when it comes to helping you through a meltdown. He's got one of the most soothing voices out of all of STARISH and gladly hold you if being touched helps you recover.
- If not, he stays a safe distance from you as he helps to guide you through taking deep breaths and helping you calm down that way.
Otoya Ittoki -
- I also hc him as neurodiverse (again not that that matters right now lol)
- He might not initially understand without you explaining how you being autistic affects you.
- Once he understands, though, he immediately asks what he can do to help you
- While his understanding of autism might be limited, he can definitely understand what it's like to be living in a world that's generally not considerate or accommodating to people like you.
- Like Natsuki, he might also sometimes forget if there's something that makes you uncomfortable, but he'll immediately apologize if he accidentally does something that makes you uncomfortable.
- He appreciate your stims as well, since they help make it easier for him to figure out how you're feeling.
- I feel like he'd buy you and himself a few of those spinner rings. Would definitely wear one for you to stim with
- Would MELT if you stim with his hair.
- Please infodump about your special interest to him. Seeing you get really excited about setting makes him super happy!
- If you are non-verbal or semi-verbal, he'd give you a notebook and pen related to your special interest. He's also more than happy to learn sign language if you prefer that!
- He usually tries to keep his distance from you when you have a meltdown. Mainly because he doesn't want to make you feel worse than you already do.
- If music helps you recover from a meltdown, he'll play a few songs on his guitar for you.
Syo Kurusu -
- Also might get slightly offended at some of your behaviors initially.
- Once you tell him you're autistic, though, he feels bad for getting offended and instantly becomes more protective of you.
- The two of you infodump to each other all the time: him about the Prince of Fights and you about your special interest. It's a win-win for both of you!
- He finds your stimming pretty rad! It also helps him in a way since it's not always easy for him to tell how someone is feeling.
- Spinner rings? Spinner rings.
- He'd definitely get the two of you matching spinner rings. He finds himself fidgeting with his ring often and it's actually helped him calm down after getting worked up.
- If you ever stim with his fingers or with the spinner ring he's wearing, oml he'd melt right on the spot. He'd pretend to be indifferent about it, but he secretly enjoys it when you do that.
- If you let him be your voice if you were non-verbal or semi-verbal, he'd be honored to do that for you. He'd also give you a notebook and pen to help you communicate with him easier if it's too hard for you to speak verbally.
- He's surprisingly calm during your meltdowns, and will guide you to a quieter, less overwhelming environment to help you calm down. He's also the type of person to generally not initially touch someone to help calm them down, unless it's what will help you calm down faster.
Masato Hijirikawa -
- He's always in a constant state of mom big brother mode, that only grows stronger once you tell him you're autistic.
- He's quick to learn what your safe foods are, your special interest and what bothers you.
- Like Ren, he already knows sign language since he was taught by one of his many tutors. If you are non-verbal or semi-verbal and prefer to use sign language over writing, he'd be more than happy to do that.
- Would also teach the rest of the members of STARISH sign language so they can all understand you.
- Nothing really phases him too much anymore, after having to basically be the group mom, he's totally cool with you infodumping to him.
- He'd be pretty concerned about any harmful stims you might have, but he's not phased by your other stims.
- If you struggle with understanding sarcasm, he's more than happy to help explain to you what's meant by what whoever is being sarcastic is saying.
- "Not again, Jinguji. Oh, don't worry, (S/O). He wasn't being serious. At least I hope not. It's Jinguji we're talking about, here, after all."
- The best at helping you get through meltdowns and even preventing some from happening.
- If the two of you are about to be in a situation that he knows triggers a meltdown for you, he'd do his best to casually distract you or lure you away from whatever the trigger is.
- He's also not that great at physical touch, but will definitely hold your hands to help you calm down if touch helps you after a meltdown.
------------
I might add a little more to these or make edits here and there, and there will definitely be these hcs for everyone else I write for as well.
Anyway, that's it for now!

The Beginning
Maul x reader x Savage
Prompt: "Howdy, it's the anon who requested the Exploring headcanons. May I request a short fic explaining how reader met the boys?"
(a/n: Based on these headcanons. I hope this isn't too long! I tend to get carried away with these really easy so I'm sorry if it's not short enough 😅 I enjoyed this one! I hope you like it! And sorry for the delay! Warnings: none, I think? Maybe slight harassment, idk.)
Tumblr media
Secondhand smoke wafted through the dank air of the cantina while the music blared and cups clanked, though there was no particular reason for celebration other than having survived the previous job to work again another day. The local bounty hunters were hogging the transmitters as per usual, all of them extra rowdy and extra desperate for a job that paid enough credits; not that you weren't in the same boat.
Although bounty hunting wasn't your forté, being the navigator for those who did prefer to do the dirty work simply wasn't cutting it lately. More often than not, your piloting skills were robbed by getting these drunk idiots somewhere safe on a particularly bad night. It was your own fault for being foolish enough to do it - but then again, you always were a diplomat at heart. No one else was looking after these nobodies, and truth be told you'd grown fond of their antics. Their constant alcohol-fueled advancements, not so much.
"Baby, you're so *hic* good to me," a drunken weequay slurred as he tugged on your arm, "you gotta let me kiss ya, ya know, ta say thanks."
"You smell like a hutt's refresher, Chev." Your retort didn't seem to phase him, no matter how hard you rolled your eyes. In fact, it only seemed to encourage him.
"A Hutt! Am I a powerful Hutt, like *hic* Jabba? Will you do a little dance for me, baby?"
His reply earned some muffled laughs from many of the men that were listening in, the newbies among them intrigued to see what kind of woman you were, and the regulars in anticipation for what was to come. You even caught a glimpse of Asajj's temporary gaze from her seat in front of you as she seemed ready to lend a hand, knowing that no one with any sense would dare to mess with her. You shot a reassuring look her way, your smirk enlightening her to your intentions as you removed the weequay's grip.
"Tell you what, Chev," you began, a light of hope going off in his face, "If you can steadily walk three whole laps around the bar, I'll do it."
He practically lept out of his skin, spilling his drink all over Embo's anooba which elicited a barrage of vicious growls from the creature, though it's owner held it back.
"Really? You'll *hic* dance for me?!"
You leaned in closer, feigning a silkiness in your voice.
"I'll do more than that."
Chev darted back up onto his feet with all the determination and resolve in the galaxy and fixed his wonky hat.
"I won't disappoint you, m'lady!"
He didn't make it seven steps in before he tripped over his own boot and crashed into the ground. You almost felt bad for leading him on like that, but it was for his own good. One of his buddies bent over to check on him and confirmed that he was down for the count, but okay. Endo mumbled something in his native language about how Chev was as sloppy with his drink as he was with his kills and that if it weren't for you doting on the more pathetic hunters in the area, there would be more jobs to go around. You reminded him of the times you had to rescue his own ass, and he kept quiet.
Still, you couldn't help but ponder the truth of his words. This profession wasn't for people like you, especially not in the service of bounty hunters and the like. Your heart was a little too big for the world of dubious credit-earning, and sympathy wasn't going to keep your ship running.
Your train of thought was broken by the sudden exciting activity surrounding the main transmitter.
"Whoa! A million credits?! Who is this Savage Opress?"
Asajj wasted no time in taking the target for herself, and no one objected. You did manage to get a glimpse of the man the well-paying bounty listed, however - a black and gold-skinned zabrak, with a countenance full of hate and the eyes of a predator. You were intrigued to say the least, and curious as to what kind of wrongdoings occurred to have that large of a bounty placed on his head. There was a pull that tugged at your chest the longer you stared at the holoprojection, as though the force itself were trying to tell you something. You weren't even sure if you believed in the force, but whatever this feeling was, it gradually became overwhelming. The moment Asajj left the vicinity you rose from your seat, determined to find the answers you sought.
*
I might actually be losing my mind this time, you thought as you sat in the cockpit of your ship, watching earnestly as Asajj's ship disappeared from view into the atmosphere. You had strategically placed an untraceable tracker beneath it before she flew off and it seemed to remain undetected the longer you waited, forcing you to commit to your actions. You didn't even know what you were trying to do exactly - steal the bounty from her? Simply follow her to the destination and wait for another sign?
A sigh escaped your lips as the tracker revealed her ships course on your display screen, the far planet of Raydonia coming into view. To head out that far into the galaxy after an infamous bounty hunter chasing a mysterious and likely dangerous bounty was nothing short of insane, and yet you guided your ship into space anyway. You wondered if you would ever spend a night in that cantina again.
You carefully navigated into the belsmuth sector without detection, making sure to maintain plenty of distance between you and Ventress' transport. By the time the lush planet of Raydonia came into view, she had already made contact with the planets surface a few minutes beforehand. You debated on whether or not you should also land your craft, or remain off-world until you had a better idea of what you were even out there for. Settling for the latter, you shifted power to your ships cloaking device and waited. Whether you liked it or not, that overwhelming feeling was telling you that whatever you were seeking would be coming to you - and no, you didn't particularly like it.
I should turn back. I have no desire to cash in on this job, assuming I would even succeed at it. There is... darkness. Maliciousness.
You swallowed as you watched a large vessel that appeared to be a turtle tanker exit Raydonia's atmosphere and a sharp jolt plunged into your chest. It was there, whatever it was. Something sinister. Your survival instincts begged you to flee, to live to work another day and avoid the sure danger that was aboard that freighter, and yet...
The cockpit of the tanker was ejected from the main vessel into space, and you sensed that Asajj wasn't successful in collecting the bounty. Was it your turn? Were you actually going to risk your life for such a dangerous job that you had no chance in hell of surviving? Your nails dug so hard into your arms that painful little half-moons littered your skin and your teeth clenched in frustration. Did you want to die?
Why am I attracted to this darkness? This evil? Why am I here? Maybe it will kill me, but...I have to know.
Your hands seized your ships controls and you pushed forward to the freighter, unsure of what to expect, and even more unsure of what the maelstrom in your heart was made up of. Your little vessel was small enough to dock against the side of the turtle tanker, latching on without a hitch. Any sensible person would absolutely not have done that, let alone shut off all power depriving yourself of any defenses or means of escape. Hell, maybe you did want to die.
Suddenly, you felt it. They sensed you the moment your transport connected to theirs.
There's more than one?
A burning crimson saber penetrated through the durasteel frame, sending sparking embers of warning your way as you left your seat and stood exactly in harm's way with your hands behind your back. The blade was making quick work of the metal, nearly completing a makeshift doorway into the unknown, however you remained unafraid. Against all odds, fear wasn't holding you back; not even after the giant durasteel puck came crashing down to reveal what you had apparently come all this way to find.
The wielder of the saber was none other than the large black and gold zabrak you had glimpsed back at the cantina and beside him was another of his kind, only with vermilion skin that ended at his torso, with strong metal droid-like appendages serving as his legs. They were a sight to behold, fearsome and clearly dangerous, and that darkness...
You didn't have much time to think before the larger of the two zabraks threw you over his shoulder and brought you into the freighter's cargo hold, then threw you down against a pile of shipping containers. You winced in pain yet remained fairly calm, even with the tip of the vicious giant's saber at your neck. His gaze met yours, those luminous golden orbs filled with the beastial rage and hate that served as any predators message to their prey before they were killed. Strangely, it fascinated you. If what was in your heart was reflected in your own eyes, there was no acknowledgment of it in his.
"Savage, who is this?"
Your attention moved to the crimson zabrak at the sound of his surprisingly sultry voice as he moved closer, though it was laced with the intentions of a killer. The darkness enveloped him like a veil of blackness, as though he had been molded by it. For all you knew, maybe he had been. These men likely weren't going to let you leave this vessel alive. The man called Savage uttered a resounding growl, once again making you aware of the deadly weapon at your throat.
"I don't know, brother."
He dug his strong hand into your shoulder and pulled you closer to the hot blade, your skin burning in anticipation.
"Why are you here?"
Your voice was firm, but quiet.
"I wish I knew."
Your answer wasn't satisfactory enough, and Savage grabbed you by the throat and pressed you down onto the hard surface of a container. It was painful and you struggled to breathe, but you didn't lash around or try to pull his hand away when you wrapped your own around his massive wrist. His brother now stood to your side, his countenance displaying curiosity and interest more than anything.
"It seems she's being complacent, Savage. Allow her to speak freely."
He reluctantly released you from his grip, allowing you to slide your back against the cold container as you held and cleared your throat. His saber was still ignited and they both remained menacingly close, not that you were foolish enough to try anything. The red zabrak spoke again, this time asserting his dominance by handling the interrogation.
"How did you find us?"
You felt compelled to relay everything truthfully and without compromise, so you did exactly that.
"I tracked Ventress here. In all honesty, I have no idea what I sought or for what reasons, but I knew she would lead me to it."
Savage growled once more, pointing his saber in your direction.
"Are you a bounty hunter?"
"Only when necessary."
"Did you come here to collect?"
"I considered it. I knew I wouldn't be able to, nor did I think it would be wise to try."
"And yet here you are," Savage's brother interjected, a small smirk tugging at his lips, "Tell me, do you have any idea what we are?"
You analyzed them closely, the pull of the force fueling your answer.
"You're Sith."
He now smiled fully.
"Very observant. I sense that the force is present in you, little one. I assume you have no allegiance?"
You wanted to deny his claim, but deep down you knew he was right. How else would you have gotten yourself in this situation? Furthermore, you suspected if you weren't force-sensitive, you would have died a long time ago.
"Not particularly."
You sensed Savage's frustration before he spoke.
"Brother, we don't have time for this. We need to focus on our mission, not toy around with this girl. Let's dispose of her."
His words were unsettling, yet you still didn't feel afraid. You wondered if you did come here to die after all. His brother must have sensed this among your other winding thoughts, as he knelt down to be closer to you.
"Do you not fear death? Do you not fear us?"
Again, you answered honestly.
"I suppose I should, but no. I don't. I'm not sure why. You're powerful and strong and I sense the atrocities you've committed, but I don't fear it."
"If not fear or anything similar, what is it that you feel?"
You swallowed, part of you wanting to be ashamed, the other longing to admit your truth freely.
"I suppose if anything, I feel...admiration. Perhaps a longing to contribute to whatever cause ignites such passion. I have no desire for power necessarily, but I have a desire to-"
"-to serve?"
You felt so exposed at the realization of your own needs, especially under the watchful eyes of the two Sith Lords that invaded your space. You particularly didn't want to admit to something as submissive as servitude, yet there was no use in denying it. Your face flushed a little before your tone regained it's firmness.
"Kill me if you like. Whether or not I live or die, I won't be leaving this ship. If you do decide to end me, will you give me the satisfaction of knowing your goals beforehand? I want to know what marks the sith intend to make on the galaxy."
The red zabrak nearly chuckled, cupping your chin in his fingers.
"What is your name, little one?"
You relayed it to him, part of you melting after hearing it echo from his lips with that voice of his. He proceeded with his own introduction.
"I am Maul. I was apprentice to the most powerful being in the galaxy once, but a Jedi took all that away from me and more. I suffered for more than a decade with my injured body and mind, until Savage discovered me and I was restored. I have sworn revenge against that very same Jedi who has only just escaped here, and now it is certain that every Jedi will be seeking us."
Revenge, huh? Yeah, that checks out.
Savage was still anxious to get this over with. You pondered Maul's words, your foolish heart finding any sympathy for the Jedi lacking. It already had been ever since the start of the clone war, however that pull once again drew your emotions in favor of the sith. You voiced your suggestions genuinely.
"If that's true, you'll need an army. Experience has shown me that if you have enough credits, bounty hunters will be loyal to anyone. There's no shortage of them among the pirates on Florrum. As for credits, the Meridian sector isn't far from here. I don't think there would be much stopping you from acquiring all that you would need."
Maul smiled. He rose up and offered his hand to you, the heat of his skin unexpected after you took it and got back onto your feet.
"It is the will of the Force. Savage, I believe we have our first recruit."
*
From that moment on, you became the beacon that guided the zabrak brothers across the galaxy. Your navigation and negotiation skills proved more useful than they ever could have imagined. Eventually they grew just as fond of you as you were of them, your relationships nearly bordering on casual romance at times; and you wouldn't have it any other way.

Just One Picture
Pairing: Kyoru | Rating: G | Words: ~1600
AO3 | FF.net
Summary: In which Tohru buys a cat onesie for their son and Kyo can't find it in himself to hate it. Post-manga spoilers
I saw an ask a while ago from @kyosohmastan talking about a headcanon that Tohru buys cat onesies for Kyo and Hajime. I loved the idea, so I wrote it lol
~
Kyo sits on the floor of the living room, back pressed against the side of the sofa, as he waits for his wife to get home from her shopping trip.
His eyes flicker from the television, which he's not really paying attention to, to his son playing on the floor in front of him, several toys strewn about. Hajime sits with his chubby toddler legs outstretched as he tries to force a triangle-shaped block into a square hole.
Usually he would let his son figure it out on his own, but after about the tenth attempt, Kyo decides to step in.
He carefully grabs Hajime's tiny wrist, guiding the block to the right place. He puts it so the hand holding the block is hovering over the triangular shaped hole, perfectly aligned.
"It's right here, Hajime, see?" he tells him, and let's go of his hand.
Kyo sees Hajime's little forehead scrunch in confusion as his son looks back to the square hole. Kyo sees Hajime's hand waiver a bit, wanting to go back and keep trying to cram the triangle block in the wrong place until he somehow succeeds.
Kyo can't help but laugh at his son's stubbornness; it's like looking in a mirror after all. Eventually Hajime slowly puts the block in the right place.
Kyo lets out a triumphant whoop and claps. Hajime begins clapping his little hands together as he copies his father, before Kyo picks him up and tosses him in the air a bit. Both father and son are smiling contagious grins when Kyo comes to rest Hajime on his hip. Kyo kisses the top of his head before praising how smart he is in a goofy voice. He squishes Hajime's pudgy cheek for good measure.
Sometimes Kyo wonders how his son has made him so willing to do such silly things, things he never thought he would ever do before, but he quickly found out after Hajime was born that he would do anything to make his baby laugh.
The squeal of delight that comes from Hajime lodges it's way into Kyo's heart, and it strikes Kyo again how much he loves this tiny human. This tiny human he and Tohru made, and he realized a long time ago he would do anything for.
Sometimes the love he feels is a little overwhelming, especially because Kyo never knew he would ever be able love anything as much as he loves his family. Never having a loving family himself, he'd been a tad scared he wouldn't know how to be a good parent. But that fear was put to rest as soon as he held Hajime for the first time at the hospital. He knew he would never be able to do anything other than love and protect his baby for as long as he's able.
Any thoughts of his own parents' failures were buried deep in the back of his mind. They simply didn't matter anymore, because he knows the love he has for his family is unconditional and that would never change.
And Kyo can't wait to see how their family's love will continue to grow.
Kyo sighs with a content smile on his face. He ruffles his son's orange hair before setting him back down with his toys.
Just as Hajime moves to pick up another block, the sound of the door unlocking catches both of their attention.
The door opens and Tohru makes her way through the threshold, one hand holding two bags and the other fiddling to lock the door as she shuts it behind her.
Hajime shouts "Mama!" and tries his best to stand up to greet her, only to fall back down to his hands and knees, settling on crawling to where she stands by the entry way.
Kyo stands as well as his wife hangs her keys on a hook and kneels down to their son. He makes his way over to the two of them.
Tohru grins as she picks up Hajime. "Well hello my beautiful boy!" she tells him, placing kisses all over his face as he giggles.
Tohru settles him on her hip as she turns her head toward Kyo. "And hello my beautiful husband," she laughs softly as Kyo greets her with a light kiss on the lips.
"Hello to you too," Kyo says back, cheeks a bit pink. "Did you find everything you needed?"
Tohru smiles. "And more!"
"Well that's good," Kyo replies, and for a moment, just takes in the picture of his wife holding their son. Motherhood suits Tohru so well, and while Kyo knows both he and his wife have their flaws, he often wonders how they manage to make their family feel so close to perfect.
"Let me take those bags," Kyo offers, gesturing to the shopping bags still hanging from Tohru's arm.
"Thank you, Kyo," she says, "You can just put them on the table. I'll get to them in a minute."
Tohru then goes to sit down, her son in her lap as she leans her head against the back of the sofa.
Kyo places the bags on the table as he was asked, about to go join his family before something in one of the bags catches his eye.
He runs his hand over the soft orange material before holding it up to see what it is.
He squints. "Um, Tohru, what is this?"
Tohru looks up. "Oh!" she exclaims before getting up and making her way towards Kyo, Hajime still in her arms.
"That was part of the 'and more'!" she tells him, sitting Hajime on the table and taking the piece of clothing from Kyo.
She turns it around in her hands. "It's a little toddler cat onesie! I saw it and thought of you. It was just so cute, I had to get it for Hajime!"
Without missing a beat or paying attention to Kyo's bemused expression, Tohru lays their son down on the table and does her best to wrestle him into the onesie.
When she's finally done, she picks Hajime up and pulls the hood up onto his head. Little cat ears poke up from the hood, and Kyo can see a little tail coming from the back.
"Doesn't he look adorable! Just like Daddy." Tohru says, placing a kiss on Hajime's cheek.
Kyo wishes he could dislike it. After everything he went through being the zodiac cat, after all the bullying, ridicule, and exile from his own family, one would think he would have absolutely no love for anything with any association to cats.
And yet, despite all of the bad memories, all Kyo can think about when he looks at his son dressed as a cat, is how his wife saw the onesie and only thought of how cute it was. She wasn't thinking of the bad memories, only the good ones. She said it reminded her of him... and it wasn't a bad reminder in the way the other Sohma's may have seen it, but a happy one.
Kyo ignores the burning behind his eyes as he's reminded of Tohru's ability to find good in almost everything; one of the many reasons why he loves her.
And Kyo has to admit it, his son does look absolutely adorable in it.
Kyo laughs softly as he puts his arm around Tohru's shoulder and kisses her cheek. "I'd say that was a pretty good buy. He looks really cute."
"Really?" Tohru asks, "You think so?"
Kyo nods and Tohru immediately jerks her chin in the direction of the second bag.
"I'm so glad you say that, because I actually got one for you too."
Hold on. "Wait what?" Kyo looks into the other bag, finding another piece of orange clothing, but this time it's much bigger.
"Yeah!" Tohru says, "They had the same onesie in an adult size and I couldn't say no to the sign from fate that I just had to get both."
Kyo raises his eyebrows. "You want me to wear it?" he asks incredulously.
Tohru giggles. "Oh come on, Kyo. It'll be so cute," she cups his face with the hand not holding Hajime, "Just like your kitty cat form was so cute."
When Kyo starts to shake his head, words beginning to spill from his mouth, Tohru interrupts. "Even if it's just one picture with you holding Hajime. Just one picture for us to have for our family. No one ever has to know but us. Pleeeeaaaase?"
Kyo bites his lip at her pleading, though he knows she's really just messing with him. He can see it in her grin. But he also knows she really does want a picture of both him and their son dressed as cats.
He sighs internally, giving in. Where's the harm really?
"Yeah okay. Just one picture, though, Tohru. That's it."
She picks up the onesie from where Kyo had dropped it back in the bag. She smiles even brighter. "That's all we need!"
She kisses him on the cheek before handing the piece of clothing to him. "Go change so we can get this one picture," she mocks him kind-heartedly.
He kisses her back before taking the onesie. "Anything for you," he tells her, over-dramatically. "But I get the feeling you already knew that."
She giggles as he goes to change.
She sighs with a grin on her face as Kyo exits the room. She boops Hajime's nose with her finger before moving the same hand to her stomach.
"Daddy's so silly, isn't he?" Tohru says and she thinks of the other infant-size cat onesie she left in the car, a gift she can't wait to surprise Kyo with for Father's Day in a couple of weeks.
She smiles tenderly down at her belly, still flat enough no one could possibly know of the newest little Sohma growing there.
"I can't wait until we can all be silly together."

4 8 9 12 16 20 for aelia owo
4. Of the other members of the party, which of them would you have chosen to play if all the options were premade and laid out in front of you? HMM probably I feel like Alunda? Or Cerise, clerics and wizards are so fun. Cerise’s backstory is SO close to the character idea I almost went with for this campaign too
8. What’s one weird personal headcanon you have for the character that’s not addressed or that you haven’t found a way to share yet? Oh hmmm, I think 1) her glasses are absolutely fake her eyesight is fine she just wears them for the aesthetic. But also I don’t think I’ve put enough stress on how Big Aelia is like I think I said she’s the tallest but she’s also. 20 strength just incredibly muscular I need to get a commission of how I imagine her. absolutely built. OH also I think her eyes turn black when she casts Shadow Blade uwu don't worry about it
9. What are your character’s relationships like with every member of their party? Bonus, if you want to write a short blurb on your character’s opinion of them.
Hehehe so I literally keep track of how Aelia feels about the party in my notes pretty extensively, I’ll copy over some highlights, everyone has about 3-4 like, bonds where I try and give myself something to go off in terms of roleplaying interactions with that character:
Cerise: I hope she can provide the protection I desire. Cerise is just as haunted as I am, I will guide her as best I can.
Tai: Tai is a well of joy, I will do my best not to drain him. Tai may change, but I will not let my faith in him waver.
Vigil: Vigil knows the horrors of this world, I will gain their trust and learn what I can from them. Vigil puts themself in harms way for our sakes, I will not let them suffer for nothing
Sylreth: Sylreth hasn’t abandoned us yet, I will ensure he gains something from our quest. Sylreth’s bitterness is not genuine dislike, I can trust him not to stab me in the back.
Alunda: Alunda is a scholar, I have to prove myself worthy of her time. Alunda has faced tragedy I couldn’t imagine, I will look to her if my family is truly gone. Alunda is happy to be back in the islands, I will make sure this trip stays a good one.
12. How has your character changed in response to their party members? Are these changes significant or small?
I feel like Aelia hasn’t changed too significantly, besides just like, I had very little idea of what she was like at the start of the campaign and now I feel like I have a grasp on her personality? I do think starting this adventure was the wake-up call she really needed and the major recent change has just been her complete recklessness at some points, which I feel is spurred by like, her realizing a) She is pretty fucking badass and it hasn’t killed her yet and b) sort of like, desperately throwing herself up against every obstacle in the hopes that she’ll learn something or make some progress (whether with the quest or like, personally) and c) fucking to keep Tai and Syl from being KILLED by everything instantly.
16. What jokes/memes do you have about your character? Are there any jokes that accidentally became canon in the universe? All I can think of is I set her gender on dndbeyond to “none gender left boob” which bc I am the player I get to say is true. big tiddy sword gf (in a nonbinary way). Also the joke we keep making about Aelia never getting a quiet nights sleep because Tai’s always having some magic shit lol
20. How did you think your character would die when you started the campaign? How do you think they’ll die now? If they’re already dead, substitute that in for the second answer.
At the start of the campaign I figured I would play Aelia pretty safe? I don’t think I had a clear picture of what would happen in that situation because I didn’t have a good sense of her as a character yet. But pretty quickly as I figured out her backstory more and as I got comfortable playing her I can picture her just pushing herself to the limit in order to save the rest of the party, or like, running into a fight she is unprepared for. Also wouldn’t be totally shocked if she somehow got like, tricked or charmed or something at some point into a trap, her wisdom is not great & even if she figured out she was being mislead I think she might be like, I can handle this and outsmart them, but probably couldn’t. Also, if she does die and come back I will probably heavily consider a class change if Renee okays it.

What about... Capt. Magnum fathering Y/N?
Send me an ego for Captain Magnum to be a father figure to, and I will give you headcanons!
Sure thing! I’m gonna split this up into three parts for three different kinds of Y/Ns!
Heist, Pirate!Y/N
It feels like seconds, but you spend years on Captain Magnum’s ship.
You eventually become First Mate and he is rearing you to become the next Captain of his ship. If you all survive that is.
He has a lot of faith in you and your abilities, hence why he is giving you such an important role on the ship.
He personally teaches you everything you need to know about running a ship with a firm and guiding hand the entire way.
He was almost disappointed after you mastered navigating. It was a good excuse to just spend time together and look at the stars. Sometimes at night he’ll still hang out on deck, looking up at the stars. hoping that you’ll join him.
He was very proud of you after you had your first kill. He took the nicest hat that he could find, and put the most gaudy feather in the world in it to congratulate you.
It doesn’t matter how bad you are at singing. He swears that you have the voice of the loveliest siren out there. He INSISTS that you sing whenever a song breaks out.
He would take a bullet for you. He actually has.
But most importantly, he respects you and your desires. He doesn’t push the matter further after you decide not to call him ‘daddy.’ (He’s a little hurt, but he understands.) You can leave the ship whenever you want. If anyone tries to hurt you mentally or physically, he would crush them in his muscles until their head popped off.
Normal Y/N
Captain Magnum gives the BEST hugs! He probably could crush you, but is very careful not to. He is a big, warm softie towards you.
He would be very happy to give you a piggy back ride if you asked. However if you do so, you WILL smack your head against the ceiling.
The Barrel practically buckles under his weight. You worry that he’s gonna break it, but she hangs in there.
He’s weary about this Mark guy you keep hanging out with, but is ultimately supportive of whatever relationship you have with him. However in private he has threatened Mark on several occasions. (Standard, “If ye hurt a single hair on Y/N’s brow, I’ll bury you at sea,” kind of stuff.)
He REALLY wants to take you and your friends out on his boat sometime. Why go on a cruise when you can do so much better on his ship, right?
He loves going fishing with you. He knows that it’s not always the most exciting thing in the world to do, so always brings a few things to keep yourselves amused in the down time. Cards. An instrument. A radio. One time he even tried to bring a TV and a game console, but you managed to talk him out of it.
He absolutely lets you have booze, even if you’re underage. He does stay sober during this and makes certain that you’re safe and not doing anything too harmful to yourself while drunk.
If you have a disability, he is doubley supportive of you. He doesn’t have legs. he gets the struggle. He just wants you to be happy and healthy in whatever way that you can.
District Attorney Y/N
If he meets you before Who Killed Markiplier he thinks that Damien, WIlliam, Celine, Abe, and Benjamin are all good catches. He absolutely thinks that you should go after whomever you prefer in the bunch. He is suspicious AF towards Actor!Mark, but doesn’t judge if you’re into that sort of thing. Also he is very proud of you becoming District Attorney, but constantly asks (in a joking manner, you hope) if you would let him get away with a little murder and looting. (Time is weird in WKM. He may be from the Golden Age of Piracy, but there’s still a possibility of you meeting him.)
Otherwise, after he learned that someone was trapped in the mirror, he made it a habit to visit it to try and talk to you. Dark isn’t too pleased with this, but Captain Magnum isn’t too worried about the grumpy 3D man.
He has taken to reading books out loud to the mirror, hoping that it’ll offer a small distraction to whomever is trapped in there.
He keeps a small guilded mirror on his belt, hoping that you can move from the mirror on the wall to this other one. He thinks that it’s a real shame that you have to be trapped in that dusty old mirror on the wall. He tries to dust it and keep it clean, but it’s a little difficult to polish that mirror without ruining whatever you’re trying to clean it with and cutting yourself. He keeps this pocket mirror super clean and polished though. Just in case.
He would be overjoyed to know that his efforts aren’t in vain. It may be difficult to communicate to him when you’re stuck in a mirror. But if you do it, he will do everything with even more gusto.
If the District Attorney manages to get out of the mirror, the first thing he will do is squeeze you in the biggest bear hug that you’ve ever experienced. Is that your spine breaking? Probably. Feels like it! This is fine. It’s fine. You don’t need a spine.

MDZS headcanons - Madame Lan and QIngheng-jun [PART 3]
To read the other parts:
[Part 1] [Part 2] [Part 3]
***
Just two years later, almost three, the second of their children was born. Hr was smaller than Huan was, more delicate, and the midwife believed he wouldn’t survive. At least, until she heard the loud, ragged cry that came from that small chest, compared to his older brother, who was more quiet.
"How is he going to be called?" Qingheng-jun looked at his son. "What would you like his name to be?" Huan, almost three years old, shrugged and put his little hand to the baby's nose. "He's blue," he said with a frown. Aiyan smiled, stroking her older son's hair and looking at the younger one, who had closed his eyes. "Zhan." "I don't like Zhan." "Why not?" Qingheng-jun asked. Aiyan was the one in charge to name their sons. But, while Qingheng-jun was confused, Aiyan smiled sweetly to his son. "Do you know what your name means?" The youngest shook his head. It was still too early for him to know how to read. "Huan means to dissipate. You live in Cloud Recesses, a place full of clouds and mist. And when the clouds dissipate, the sky is clear and blue. One cannot exist without the other. That is why you are my two proud, my babies. Because you are going to bring the truth to this world. You are the light that will guide the future."
But the happiness didn’t last forever. Lan Qiren caught his brother skipping the seclusion to see Aiyan and faced him.
"I see you are very sorry for the death of our teacher." "Qiren." "Is that what you've been doing all this time? Skipping your seclusion to see her at night? I thought you had come to your senses and decided to behave like the leader everyone expects. I was wrong." "Qiren, please listen to me." "The elders have to know about this." "If you tell them, they will take the children away from Yingyue. She wouldn’t bare it"
Qiren looked down. As much as he hated that woman, it was the one who loved his brother and the mother of his nephews who, although he didn’t want to admit it, had given him great joy. "They were thinking of taking them off as well," he confessed and Qingheng-jun felt the world breaking. "I won't tell them anything, but... Promise me you won't see her again. If you do, you'll only do more damage."
When Qingheng-jun entered the Jinghsi, Aiyan looked at him red-eyed with tears on her cheeks. Little Lan Zhan was sleeping in his cot while Lan Huan was doing the same but in his bed.
That was a bitter night. They both hugged each other, while crying silently and looking at their children, who seemed completely oblivious to their suffering.
"I'll try to do anything so you could keep them at your side," he promised her, but Aiyan hid her face better in his neck. "We both know it’s impossible." "But you are their mother." "And your master's killer, who one of them," Aiyan stroked his hair before smiling bitterly. "We both know that I'll never be a part of the clan, no matter how many children I have. And... it's not like I want to be either. You and the children are the only thing that binds me to this place." "Aiyan..." "Do you remember what I asked you?" Qingheng-jun nodded, closing his eyes and keeping her closer to him. "Try to do it. Please. For them." "I promise. I will."
The farewell in the morning was even more bitter. In private, they could at least be a more sincere and free version of themselves. But, when they had to go back to the real world, things were different. Both had to behave and the displays of affection weren’t well received.
"A-Yan, I love you," he said, kissing her one last time on the lips, cleaning a tear that had leaked from her eyes with his thumb. Aiyan smiled and hugged him, leaving a kiss on his neck. "Me too," but the whisper died on her lips against his skin.
That was the last day they saw each other. Qingheng-jun made his way to his younger brother's bedroom and entered, finding him almost ready.
"Done. I will not see her again and Yingyue knows that they will separate her from the children, but, you have to promise me something." "Whatever you wish, xiongzhang." "You have to take care of them. Teach them, take care of them, love them as if we were there. Don't let anyone harm them." "Of course, xiongzhang." "And ... You have to let them see their mother." Qiren frowned and shook her head. "That’s impossible." "You owe me. I will behave as I promised, I will not get out of my seclusion except when necessary, and I am entrusting you, the favorite of the elders, my children, the future of the clan. But, you cannot separate them from their mother." "I'll see what I can do..."
When the elders went and took the children away (who broke down in tears), Aiyan looked bitterly at Qiren, trying to stay as impassive as possible but i was visible the pain of her soul. Lan Qiren interceded in front of the elders and asked them, while the children were young, to allow them to see their mother once a week, but the most he got was one day a month.
He communicated to Qingheng-jun the decision of the elders and he nodded, returning to his seclusion. The following month, he brought both children and a small package to the woman. "I will come back for them tomorrow morning."
Lan Huan filled her with questions, so many that many of them couldn't be answered. She could only smile and distract him, playing with him and little Lan Zhan, singing a lullaby to them to sleep and watching them sleep until the next morning.
"You haven't opened the package," Qiren told him. "I will when I’m alone." The package was full of little things that reminded him of when Qingheng-jun apologized. A sad smile formed on her lips.
Her only contact with Qingheng-jun was the packages she received each month, along with her precious children, who were getting bigger every day.
Lan Huan was kind, sweet and caring, and he showed incredible sensitivity for his age. He had his eyes and his nose and Qingheng-jun's smile and features. Lan Zhan was a small sticker of her brother, but he didn't smile as much, being as reserved as she was in many ways.
She loved having them with her, each month learning something new. Lan Huan showed a great interest in her xiao, Liebing, and Lan Zhan clung to her in search of cuddles, even when he blushed and closed in on himself, as he had seen his father do the first time when she had kissed him.
She never asked about the studies because he knew that Lan Qiren was taking care of them, at Qingheng-jun's request. She didn't understand his decision, but if it was going to make her children safe and sound, she would accept it.
But she did try to get to know them more. Lan Huan was kind, intelligent, and observant, but his big heart would bring him a lot of trouble. She hoped no one would take advantage of him. On the other hand, Lan Zhan was stubborn, reserved, and had trouble expressing himself, but his heart was as big as his brother's. She had two angels for children and she couldn't be more proud.
Soon after Lan Zhan turned six, Aiyan began to feel ill. She didn’t understand, since she didn’t go out and the only one she had contact with were her children. It didn't seem like an illness, either, so what was going on? One day, when Lan Qiren went to pick up the children, she said goodbye to the children in a more affectionate and effusive way, keeping the Jinghsi's door open until they left and disappeared from her sight. However, just as they were about to leave through the garden gate, a dizziness made her lose her balance and collapse.
Lan Qiren asked Lan Huan to take Lan Zhan, that everything was fine, and when the children left, he hurried over to Aiyan.
"I am dying, Lan Qiren." "No, it was just a dizziness." Aiyan smiled bitterly and shook her head, feeling him help her lie down on the bed. "I'll call the doctor and you'll be fine." "The poison cannot be counteracted when it has already harmed the body." "Poison?" Aiyan closed her eyes and tried to breathe. The simple act of taking a breath hurt. She had realized it too late and there was nothing she could do. "On the table are four letters. Two of them I want you to give them to my children when they go to receive their courtesy name. Another one is for Tiaohe." "And the last one?" "The last one is for you. Read it when you are alone."
Aiyan couldn't stay awake much longer. With tears running down her cheeks, Aiyan asked Qiren to tell them she loved them, before exhaling her last breath.
Lan Qiren was forced to tell the news not only to Qingheng-jun, but to his nephews and elders. Qingheng-jun received the news as straightly as he could before bursting into tears, shattered, hugging the letter in his chest. Lan Qiren hated Aiyan for leaving him alone. The older ones took it much better, eventually having to hide their victory smiles.
But the worst was when he told Lan Huan and Lan Zhan. The eldest of his nephews burst into tears while Lan Zhan looked at his uncle in confusion. "Muqin is at home." "Your mother is not coming back, Lan Zhan." "Yes, she is," replied the smaller one, folding his arms.
Aiyan's funeral was discreet and no news was sent outside the clan. No one wanted to have to explain. No one had attended the clan leader's wedding, what caused rumors. No one had seen the wife of the clan leader, causing more gossip. They didn’t need her death to provoke more. So they kept it a secret in the hope that this whole dark and black chapter of disgrace to the clan would end finally.
Lan Zhan, every month, kept going to the Jinghsi, waiting for her mother to open the door. This caused him punishments and a cold that almost killed him. Lan Huan, on the other hand, tried to be strong and not show his pain, although in the morning it was seen that he didn’t rest and his eyes were red because of the crying.
That woman continued to haunt her children even after she died. Her children and Qingheng-jun, who had withdrawn even more in himself in seclusion and barely saw his children.
"Don't you want to see them?" "They remind me too much of her." "Xiongzhang, they need their father." "Now are you going to give me parenting lessons, Qiren?"
Lan Qiren kept the letter, minus Qingheng-jun's, stored away. He didn’t read his until the night before the Lan Huan naming ceremony. In the letter, Aiyan asked him to name them Xichen and Wangji respectively. She had been thinking about their names very carefully and she wanted her children to be free, to live in a world of light and to not have to be enveloped in the darkness of pain.
Another of her wishes was for Liebing and Bichen to be given to both of them, the first for Lan Huan who had found such appreciation for xiao, and the second for Lan Zhan, who had once looked at the sword curiously.
She thanked him in the letter for taking care of her children and hoped that he would continue doing so in the future, since they were her two joys. Lan Qiren was angry, because she didn't say anything about Qingheng-jun. Hadn't he loved his brother? But Aiyan had already taken it upon herself to put all her feelings in the letter to that husband she had received by surprise.
When the Wen clan, years later, attacked Cloud Recesses, and Qingheng-jun fell ill, Lan Qiren remained by his side. "You have to live, xiongzhang." "It’s my time, Qiren." "Your children need you." “My children needed their mother, not me. You have already taken care of them and guided them. Thank you." "Xiongzhang, please." "Xichen will be able to guide the clan in the future. He has become a good man. And he has his brother Wangji to help him. Together they will do it fine.”
Qingheng-jun asked him to open the doors, so that he could see the moon. He could barely move out of bed. “Thank you for taking such care of them, Qiren. You could have had your own life and..." "I have been delighted of doing it, xiongzhang. I love them as my own children.” "I know. And forgive me. I wish that everything had been different.” "Xiongzhang, please don't speak. You need to rest." "Yingyue would have liked you. I hope I have the pleasure of introducing you to her in another life.” Lan Qiren tried not to cry. Even in his last moments, the last words of his brother were for her. "My precious Yingyue..." Qingheng-jun said looking at the moon. "Wait for me, Aiyan, we will be together soon."
The funerals weren’t as majestic as they should have been. They were at war, there was nothing left of Cloud Recesses and the next leader, Lan Xichen, was missing, trying to protect the clan's legacy.
Only when Lan Qiren was about to die, he did give his nephews their mother's letters, apologizing to both of them for taking so long and telling them the true story of their parents. Perhaps he should have listened more to his xiongzhang, perhaps the story would have been different.
Both, Xichen and Wangji passed the night crying, as when they were kids, only to be sure to let the clan know the true story, cleaning their parent’s names.
***
And that’s all. I have headcanons of how Lan Zhan and Lan Huan have lived all of this, but that’s another story. Also, sorry if it hasn’t had the structure or form of headcanons (and parts like it was a fic), but I don’t know how to made them better.
Hope you like them. If you have different headcanons I will love to read them, and if you want other headcanons, you can always hit my inbox :3

Given some spoilers I’ve seen for chapter 291, I’m going to post some snipets from my giant TodoBaku soulmate AU relevant to upcoming spoilers.
I used canon-typical plot points to pad the fic and guide the soulmate plot because since the soulbond is the ability to feel each other’s emotions, it’s a very slow burn fic about growing up and maturing as people as much as it’s about Todoroki and Bakugou being soulmates
I decided to do this fic preview since some sections might change or might not depending on how the canon goes. I was trying to come up with ways to do anticipated plot points like the upcoming spoiler and Midoriya vs. Shigaraki in ways I thought the canon wouldn’t do them, so there might be nothing to change in the end.
Anyway, warnings and such under the cut. I’ll provide relevant context to the snipets. Please keep in mind that these sections have only gone through the first edit phase so they are still rough and will be tweaked further before posting.
I’ll probably get around to posting the fic in about idek probably 3 - 4 weeks since it took about 10 days to put half of it through the first edit.
Okay so generalized fic summary is basically: Todoroki and Bakugou share a soulbond that allows them to feel their emotional states. When in a shared emotional state, this soulbond can vibrate and increase their quirk output. After finding each other in high school, they go on a journey from soulmates to classmates to friends to boyfriends.
Some general warnings: canon typical abuse (though in canon it’s more implied and this gets into it a bit more than that), canon typical violence, suicide, immolation, death, kidnapping, cursing, major character death, gruesome injury (not in that order, I’ll be more exact about warnings when I post the fic properly)
So, you know, read at your own risk.
If you’re curious why I did what I did I either a) forgot, b) didn’t notice, c) it’s in the pocket of story I haven’t read yet, d) chose to ignore it (like Mineta or Yaoyorozu flashing people to use her quirk), or e) it just wasn’t working out for the fic  (Hatsume unfortunately D:).
I’m going to post all the sections Dabi appears in and provide context before each scene. I should also note it’s my headcanon he was born just under two years before Fuyumi, making him nine years older than Shouto.
Please keep in mind there are several sections in-between what I’m posting, so these sections have lighter moments and so forth in-between when the fic is whole
===
Basically at the start of the fic, I establish when the soulbond began. The following is the second scene of the fic. The previous scene was Bakugou’s POV and established how things work in universe and teased that Midoriya’s soulmates are Uraraka and Iida.
This scene is Todoroki’s POV because their POV alternates throughout the fic. Todoroki grew up sheltered from things like how the soulbond works so he thinks Bakugou’s emotions is a part of his brain acting on its own rather than another person’s emotional state (this will get clarified to him later in the fic)
***
For a long time it was just Todoroki Shouto, one mind and one body. Then one day, his brain decided it was tired of this routine and became sentient. When Todoroki was sad, his brain was mad. When he was content, his brain was aggressive. When he tried to feel no emotions at all, his brain was endlessly frustrated. It was worrying. It was too much like his father. On television, Endeavor was commanding, confident, and capable. He dispatched villains easily and everyone complemented him as strong, fast, brave, and exceptional. At home, Endeavor was angry, violent, demanding, and commanding in a different, more stressful way. Todoroki did not want to be like that. He did not want to be two people, and he definitely did not want to harm his family.
Todoroki’s brain became another person soon after his quirk manifested and Endeavor began training him. No matter what Todoroki did, thought, or tried to feel, his brain stubbornly felt other things. Luckily it was not always aggressive annoyance. Right now, for example, it was content like a day at the playground. Maybe his brain was just nostalgic. Todoroki could not remember the last time he went to a playground. There was no way to train there after all.
It was afternoon, not long after Todoroki’s birthday. He was hungry and bored from studying. As he approached his bedroom door, he froze. Voices drifted to him from his oldest brother’s bedroom. Ever since Todoroki started training, his siblings did not talk to him much anymore. His father said it was going to make him a better hero. Todoroki was not sure. It seemed like heroes should play with their siblings, give them presents on their birthdays, and help them with their chores.
“I don’t want to play it,” Touya murmured.
“It can’t be that bad,” Fuyumi said.
“When I use my quirk, I get blisters. Sometimes I just set everything on fire. I don’t want to be Blister Man, so I just didn’t use it,” Touya said. “It was that bad.”
“He’s got Shouto now,” Natsuo said. “Maybe it won’t matter.”
“You know it will.”
A long silence followed. Todoroki frowned. He knew he should not keep listening but he could not move from his door.
“Play it before Father comes home,” Fuyumi said. “We’ll figure something out.”
“Fine.”
Todoroki kept himself against the bit of wall beside his door. He held his breath. What were they watching? Why was it so bad? Todoroki put a hand on his door and then removed it. No matter how curious he was, he could not look. He should not look. He could not get them in trouble. He should ask his mother for a snack before their father came home. He remained against the wall. He let out a breath he did not know he held.
“Thank you for participating in UA’s hero entrance exam this year!” All Might’s voice boomed.
There were hasty whispers and button pushing to reduce the sound as much as possible.
“All of you showed great skill and achievement, however, only so many students can pass,” All Might continued.
“Shit,” Touya whispered.
“I am sorry to say that you did not pass the entrance exam this year,” All Might said in a firm but not unkind voice. “That does not mean your hero journey stops here! Cheer up and –”
There was silence. Todoroki held his breath again. After a moment, the disc ejected and the laptop closed. His brain commenced a power trip. Why? There was nothing to feel powerful about. Todoroki bit his lip. Heavy footsteps sounded in a far hallway.
“I…I got to get rid of it,” Touya said.
Todoroki should say something. He should do something.
“He’s going to want to see it!” Fuyumi  hissed.
The footsteps only drew closer, making the door shake as they passed. It was too late.
“I don’t care. I’ve got to get rid of it.”
“Get rid of what?” Endeavor’s voice seemed to echo through the house.
Todoroki’s heart stopped. He pressed himself against the wall more even though no one could see him. His brain continued on its power trip with a twinge of spite.
“That’s it,” Touya said. “This is fucking it!”
Todoroki braced for the sound of a hand on skin.
Instead there was a whoosh of flames and everything seemed much hotter than it ever did when Endeavor used his quirk inside the house.
“Touya! Don’t!” Fuyumi shrieked.
The smell of burning flesh, fire, and smoke filled the hallways and surrounding rooms.
“Touya!” Natsuo cried out.
“Get back! I’ll handle this!” Endeavor commanded. Not even seconds later, Endeavor ran down the hall and out the door. Fuyumi or Natsuo cried. Todoroki could not move.
“Why would Touya do that?” Natsuo whispered.
Fuyumi did not answer. Maybe there was no good answer. Todoroki remained against his wall. Endeavor did not return for hours. Touya never returned. His photo appeared in the family shrine. No one explained anything. Todoroki did not know when or how to ask. Rei snapped two days later and then she had to live at a hospital Todoroki could not visit and she could not come home again.
Todoroki did not want to feel anything. He could not feel anything. His brain continued its parade of incorrect disembodied emotion. Maybe Rei was right. Maybe he was too much like Endeavor. Todoroki wrapped himself in muted numbness. He would make sure he did not become Endeavor. He would find a way.
===
This next scene is Bakugou’s POV. This first part of the fic explores canon events with the soulmate lens to help me get a feel for how the soulbond works and also a feel for the character development journeys both Todoroki and Bakugou would have to take. So this is set immediately after the League kidnap Bakugou during summer training after the sports festival he got tied down to a cement pillar because he didn’t want to accept the gold medal.
This is also a scene in which the soulbond’s ability to amplify quirks comes into play. I called it the resonance since the ability for emotions to resonate together is what amplifies quirks. So for Todoroki, his fire and ice  become easier to draw forth and for Bakugou that means increased sweat production and increased explosion power.
***
There were no windows. There were few doors. There was a bar of all things. Sweat puddled around Bakugou. When the villains attacked the training camp, everything went sideways quickly. The resonance began to vibrate as Bakugou’s sweat production skyrocketed. His arms ached from holding back his quirk. He could no longer estimate the size of his explosions. If he let one off against his leg, he could just blow his leg off instead of bust his restraints.
Bakugou’s jaw tightened. Every time his mind wandered, it returned to Midoriya staring back at him as he disappeared into Kurogiri’s quirk. Midoriya’s eyes lit with determination. He totally did not listen when Bakugou told him not to follow. How long would it be before Midoriya was here too? Before both of them were completely fucked?
The room grew colder. Bakugou froze. The mist had been cold and suffocating. He took a deep breath. The bar’s air was normal. The resonance kept vibrating. Of course now would be the time Todoroki would finally allow himself to feel so freely. Todoroki definitely looked terrified enough before the mist made everything dark.
“You can’t stop thinking about the consequences can you?” Dabi asked. He looked like some kind of Frankenstein reject and smelled of death and ash. They were the only people in the room right now while the other villains took care of whatever villains did after a successful kidnapping.
“All of us have this rage,” Dabi flexed his fingers as though his joints were stiff, “because we want control.” He looked from his fingers to Bakugou. Dabi’s laughter was quiet, mirthless, and hoarse like his voice. “Who controls you?”
“Not you,” Bakugou said.
“That’s right,” Shigaraki said as he entered the room. His voice was thin and quiet. Hands gripped his body like some kind of bizarre fetish. It set all of the hair on Bakugou’s body on end. “We aren’t here to control you. We’re here to give you control.”
Bakugou narrowed his eyes. “Then free me.” Would it be that easy?
Several other villains appeared like some reject disco revival group.
“In time,” Shigaraki said. “We want to give you control, but we’re also not idiots.”
The resonance began to lessen. The sweat began to dry. Fear and terror transformed into resolution and determination. Bakugou’s jaw tensed, his stomach tightened. Midoriya had a dumb plan. What else could it mean? He had to come up with his own plan to counter it. If he freed himself then there would be no need for a stupid reckless plan. The resonance fluctuated between aching and normalcy. Bakugou would have to act sooner than later. Bakugou could still feel his quirk aching in his arms. He had to find the right time to act and find it fast.
===
In the fic the hospital raid goes differently like the whole Shigaraki vs. Midoriya thing doesn’t happen, though Shigaraki has been enhanced so he can use his quirk without destroying his body in the process.
Anyway, after the hospital raid, Endeavor finds out that samples obtained from Ujiko’s lab are a DNA match to Touya. Now the heroes are doing a preventative raid against multiple targets in different cities. Endeavor’s group is targeting an apartment complex full of villains and civilians. Bakugou and Midoriya are helping Burnin’ get civilians out of there while Endeavor wants Todoroki in his raid group in the off chance they confront the villain he assumes is Touya (aka Dabi, but Todoroki doesn’t know who Endeavor suspects is Touya). The ring goes back to a theme of jewelry, adornment as an expression of rebelion.
This sequence is set during second year in late April maybe the very start of May. It’s after Bakugou’s birthday but with enough time for students to recover to do the sports festival the weekend at the end of Golden Week. I decided to include Bakugou’s POV between the two Todoroki POV involving Dabi so it would flow as intended. When you see a ~ the POV changes.
***
Todoroki fought Endeavor many times. Frequently as an intern he was support and rescue. Only on rare occasion did they fight in the same place at the same time and even then Todoroki was not sure he would calling it fighting alongside each other. Today was different. Endeavor was deliberate, swift, and dramatic like always. He expected Todoroki and the heroes with them to keep up and assist without direction. Todoroki did not have to blink. He knew Endeavor’s attack patterns, the pauses, the direction and intensity the fire would take. He knew when to shoot his ice and when to shoot flame.
As they traveled upwards through the building, the fighting from below grew fainter. Sometimes there were ambushes, sometimes the villains attacked head on. Endeavor motioned for Todoroki to meet him on the next floor. Endeavor took stairs to the right and Todoroki to the left. The sidekicks finished securing the villains on this floor.
Todoroki charged up the stairs as silently as possible. There was no one in sight. He looked at the numbers on the doors. None of them matched the numbers he memorized.
“I told you. Get your ass downstairs!” Dabi kicked a villain with a tiger quirk near Todoroki. There was door open at the end of the hall that was closed when Todoroki arrived.
Dabi ran his hand through his hair. In the hallway light he seemed more grotesque than he had in the dark woods at the training camp. His flesh seemed to slip from the staples in places. Dabi looked at him. “You’re not my enemy.”
“You kidnapped my friend.” Todoroki slid into a stance. He drew his quirk to his hands. Dabi did not look away.
“Still doesn’t make you my enemy.” Dabi put his hands in his pockets. His shoulders almost slouched out of their sockets, but he managed to keep them where they should be.
“Touya.” Endeavor’s voice seemed to echo.
Todoroki did not move. He kept his eyes on Dabi. Endeavor was just in his line of sight down the hallway over Dabi’s shoulder.
Dabi held Todoroki’s gaze for a long moment and then rolled his eyes, turning his body so he could keep Todoroki’s movements in the corner of his eye but also look towards Endeavor while keeping himself between them. His chest moved with each breath, and he wheezed occasionally. His fingers contorted but he did not draw flame to his hand yet. “That name means nothing to both of us.”
Endeavor approached. Dabi remained where he was. His shoulders angled like a shield. For the briefest moment, something through Todoroki’s mind. Touya with his body almost in the same position except with a hand stretched out to block Todoroki even more, body tensed. Endeavor’s footsteps loud and decisive against the flooring. Touya’s hair was pale. His flames were yellow and blistered his palm and fingers. The memory faded as quickly as it arrived.
Dabi bounced on his feet. His attention turned more and more towards Endeavor.
“Your quirk was so unpredictable, I never imagined it would consume you. It was a shock. It seemed impossible.” Endeavor approached them. “So I pushed myself. I resolved to become even stronger, even stricter. Then I lost your mother, and again, I pushed myself farther. I kept pushing, I kept winning, but also losing.” Endeavor stopped walking. His flames shrank but did not extinguish. “You started me down this road. Finding you again now is a sign that my actions are the right direction now.”
“Yeah, and that direction is down!” Dabi called flame to his hand, intense and blue. The smoke carried the smell of meat turning from burnt to beyond salvaging and intensified the smell of death wafting from Dabi. Dabi lunged forward in that same instant, his flame engulfing his arm. It plunged into Endeavor’s chest and intensified further.
A low rumble approached. The building began to shake, bits of ceiling began to crumble. Dabi pulled his arm back, his hand covered in blood and arm charred to a crisp. His unused hand shoved Todoroki towards the stairs.
Todoroki stumbled. He could He could not look away as blood oozed from Endeavor’s wound and Endeavor fell to his knees. Todoroki’s feet remained stubbornly planted to the floor as the building began to creak and squeal in agony, the shaking building. Dabi grabbed his arm and pulled him towards the stairwell. Todoroki called his quirks just as the floor gave out from under him.
~
This was it. This was officially one of the worst days of Bakugou’s life. Bakugou bit his tongue. He wanted to curse. He wanted to shout. He had to keep his voice down. He had to keep his movements to a minimum. He was trapped between floors and a wrong choice could compress the debris further. Midoriya’s teeth were just about to bite through his bottom lip. His eyes flickered up towards the debris hanging centimeters above their heads dim from the emergency lights attached to their costumes. Midoriya’s gaze returned to the body between them. They landed on Endeavor when the building collapsed. They managed to dig him out without compromising things further. Midoriya pressed his undershirt firmly against Endeavor’s chest wound, trying to keep it closed. “We have to cauterize it, Kacchan.”
Bakugou took a deep breath. Yes. Yes of course. Use nitroglycerin sweat to cauterize the wound on a fire user. Bakugou grit his teeth. Even with their first aid gear they really didn’t have a better option for such a deep, gaping wound. “Fine,” he hissed, already formulating a plan. He was not going to be the reason Endeavor died. He was not. Not after Best Jeanist.
Bakugou removed his storage tanks and gloves, setting them down slowly. He waited for signs of their perch settling with the change of weight distribution but there was no movement. “Move your shirt. Hold the wound closed.”
Midoriya did so. His lips became a fine, thin line, and his brow furrowed with focus.
Bakugou took a deep breath and thought about a small amount of pressure, small sparks, a line of very excited tiny sparklers. He took two fingers and showered the wound with sparks, energetic but controlled. It did not work. Endeavor’s skin was too used to heat. Bakugou grit his teeth.
“Maybe if you –”
“Shut it.”
Midoriya surprisingly did. Bakugou breathed through his nose. Fire resistant skin meant higher heat. But even with a low level explosion he could cause organ damage. Sweat trailed down his forehead and nose in the heat. The resonance remained quiet. Bakugou frowned deeper. “I need metal.”
“My mask,” Midoriya said. “Use it. Destroy it.”
Bakugou freed it from Midoriya’s costume. He put his glove on his right hand and began heating it with his quirk from his left hand, trying to keep everything low-level. The metal did not warp or melt. It did heat. When he could feel the heat through his glove, he pressed the metal along Endeavor’s wound. The wound finally sealed.
Midoriya leaned back and removed his hands. Bakugou set the mask aside and put his gear back on his arms. If he wore them, he had more control on their weight distribution.
Endeavor continued to breathe. There were no other sounds.
“It’s eerie when you can’t feel them isn’t it?” Midoriya murmured after a long time.
Bakugou did not answer. He had not thought of Todoroki since finding himself in this collapsed hellscape. He searched the resonance a moment. There was only a dull buzz like there was when Todoroki slept.
“I can’t feel either of them,” Midoriya murmured. “They were probably on the ground floor when it happened. They were both in the final wave.” He continued to murmur to himself, his voice becoming quieter and hard to distinguish syllables.
Bakugou’s jaw tensed. The constant whispery noise almost made his ears hurt and set his brain on fire. He should probably tell Midoriya why he hated it, but then Midoriya would write it in one of those notebooks and who knew what would happen when villains got their hands on those things. Bakugou took a deep breath. He could not shout. He could not lunge for Midoriya either. “Will you shut up?!” he managed a gruff hiss.
Midoriya blinked. “Ah…sorry.”
Bakugou kept his eyes on Endeavor. He was still breathing. They already sent out a distress signal. Now all they had to do was wait.
~
Todoroki opened his eyes and then immediately closed them when his futon shook beneath him. Something gave way and he fell just a second before everything settled. He groaned and coughed, dust filling his lungs. When did his room get this dusty? Why was his futon so uncomfortable? He opened his eyes and blinked. Everything was completely dark. It felt like the ceiling was much closer than it should be. Debris seemed to lay underneath him instead of a futon. He was not in the dorm or in his bedroom. What was the last thing he remembered? His head hurt too much.
“I wouldn’t sit up if I were you,” a voice rasped.
Todoroki’s instincts and the dizziness in his head agreed. He tried to ignore his growing nausea. The resonance was full of sharp annoyance and frustration, maybe fear. It was hard to discern. It did not quite feel normal, but it was a good sign. Wherever Bakugou was, he was awake and possibly with Midoriya.
“You should talk,” the voice said.
Todoroki tried to place it, but it was hard to concentrate. The person seemed to be laying down nearby. The smell of death wafted from the same place. “Why?”
“Because you hit your head.”
Todoroki’s eyebrows drew together. He went to touch his head and then reconsidered and lowered his arm.
“Tell me about the ring.”
“It’s just a ring.”
“Endeavor wouldn’t think so.”
Todoroki frowned. “How would you know?”
“I’m his number one enemy.”
Todoroki tried to see in the darkness. There was nothing to see. “I like the ring.”
“Good. You’re not completely their dog then.”
“I’m not…a dog…” It was hard to make words. Maybe he really did have a head injury.
“All heroes are dogs.”
“No…. Just the dog ones.”
“Which are all of them.”
Todoroki opened his mouth and closed it. He tried to focus on Bakugou’s emotions. If he could just latch onto them, maybe he could stay conscious. There was more fear now and stress. Whatever was happening wherever Bakugou was must be dire and terrifying. Maybe the adrenaline would transfer.
“Shouto, keep talking.”
Todoroki opened his mouth but there were no words. His eyes fluttered closed. The darkness seemed less claustrophobic this way.
Todoroki opened his eyes. Sun filtered into a white room. The smell of death was gone, replaced by something distinct but sterile. An alarm somewhere kept ringing. It was near and then far, left and then right. Maybe there was more than one alarm. Activity rushed past. Todoroki’s brain could not focus or process it beyond acknowledgement. He tried to speak but only managed a faint graon.
“Oi!” Bakugou’s voice rose above the din before saying something unintelligible. Someone answered from nearby. Midoriya also said something. Todoroki could not process any of it. He closed his eyes.
Todoroki’s eyes opened again. The room was white again but this time there was barely any light. There was a television in the corner. There was an IV hookup in his arm and a heart monitor clamped to his finger. Fuyumi sat in a chair beside him, using a reading light to work from a binder. Todoroki blinked. Fuyumi was still there.
“What…?” his voice barely functioned.
Fuyumi closed the binder, turned off her light, and set both aside. “You’re in the hospital. Looks like the doctor’s quirk finally worked. I have to call the nurse now.” She reached over and hit the button by Todoroki’s bedside.
A medical team appeared and started poking and prodding. Todoroki slowly sat up when allowed. There was no dizziness or pain. After some water, his voice began to work properly. This was his second day at the hospital. He was in and out of consciousness for that entire time due to a healing cranial injury. He also sustained an injury to his left side, but it healed first and even when Todoroki prodded his side through his hospital gown, he felt no evidence of it.
“We should be able to release you tomorrow morning,” the doctor said. “Unless there are any more complications in the healing process. These types of injuries are always difficult even with my quirk.”
There was a long silence after the medical team left. The clock said it was about the time Todoroki would turn in for the night. He did not feel sleepy, though he could feel Bakugou’s sleepiness, exhaustion, and stress acutely.
“What do you remember last?” Fuyumi’s voice was quiet.
Bakugou and Midoriya were there, but maybe it was Dabi. It was dusty but also sterile. Strong terror and yellow flame flickered. He might have used his quirk in a building. There was blood. So much blood. Whose blood? What was clear? Endeavor must have been there but Todoroki could not remember. What was clear? What was solid? “Waiting for the signal,” he said. The memory was well before sunrise. Everyone was silent. Endeavor was just seconds from turning his flame on full. It felt real.
Fuyumi frowned. She tugged at her bottom lip in thought. “Shouto,” she said carefully, looking towards him in the dim light, “Father’s also a patient here.”
Todoroki tensed.
“They told me there was a building collapse. That makes sense with your injuries, but his…” her voice trailed.
Todoroki shivered involuntarily. His first thought was blood, All that blood. Except there was no source. Just blood. “What happened?”
Fuyumi continued in the careful voice, choosing her words deliberately. “Something happened to burrow into his chest and damage his heart. They’ve done all the healing they can, but the injury weakened his heart significantly.” Fuyumi paused to let Todoroki process the information. Then she said in a quiet voice, “They’re optimistic about his prognosis, but he’ll have to retire.”
Todoroki pulled his blankets up around himself. Even his right side felt cold. What if Endeavor did die? What if Endeavor did not die? What would retirement even look like? What would Endeavor do with that much free time? What would an Endeavor who could not use his quirk at full power be like? Would he just push himself to death even if he survived?
“I’m going to help while I can,” Fuyumi said. “So, don’t worry about Father.”
Todoroki’s frown deepened. Was he worried? Was he relieved? Guilty? Afraid? Which emotion went with which outcome? “You don’t have to do that.”
“I…I know.” Fuyumi stretched her legs out and looked down at her hands on her lap. Her lips pressed into a thin line. “But I want to. I know our childhood was beyond stressful, but things aren’t so stressful now. Maybe it can keep improving.”
Todoroki did not know what to say. Staff walked past their room. Someone’s heart monitor crashed across the hallway. There was a rush to help.
“Your friends are okay,” Fuyumi said. “I’m not sure about your classmates or teachers.”
Todoroki nodded. He was one of the people everyone waited for this time. They probably made food for him. How many others had not returned? Did they get up early and fall asleep in the common room waiting again? They should not sleep on the sofas for his sake. His shoulders slumped and he ran the hand without the IV hookup through his hair.
“Why don’t you lie down?” Fuyumi suggested. “You’re still recovering.”
Todoroki did so. Slowly exhaustion crept over him. He did not remember falling asleep.
 ===
One of the points of the fic is to get Todoroki, Bakugou, and Midoriya to a point in which all three of them become something different than they set out to become as first years. Todoroki steps out of Endeavor’s shadow, Bakugou becomes less of a King Explosion Murder, and Midoriya diverges from being an All Might clone. Part of what encourages these journeys is the corruption of the Hero Commission. That’s why, after Dabi’s captured after the building collapse, this scene happens because the Hero Commission wants what it wants and what it wants right now is confirmation that Dabi is Touya and also confirmation none of the Todoroki sibligns are working with him.
Narratively though I wanted to do this scene so Natsuo and Fuyumi are now both in on the Touya is Dabi circle.
This takes place after Todoroki is released from the hospital following recovering from injuries sustained in the raid from the previous section. The reason they’re not at Tartarus is Shigaraki eroded Tartarus when he broke Kurogiri out of prison a few sections ago.
***
Golden Week meant a break from internships in lieu of the sports festival and this year also meant a time for recovery from the recent raid. Today was one of the days off school, and Class 2-A planned an outdoor lunch. It sounded fun, but Todoroki would have to skip it. That morning, All Might arrived at the dorms to collect him with Detective Tsukauchi. They picked up Fuyumi and Natsuo and began a long drive. Detective Tsukauchi drove, choosing a playlist that had a mix of music from several decades. All Might hummed along quietly frequently especially to the songs that were in English.
The car ride kept going. Where? No one would say. Why? Still no answers. Todoroki stared out the window as mountains, houses, and fields passed. They were on the road with the whole of Japan it felt like. When Detective Tsukauchi turned off the music, they entered a section of tunnel that required his ID.
There were several forms to fill out, all of which Fuyumi had to sign as Todoroki’s present guardian. There were still no details.
“It’s like we’re going to meet a prisoner or something,” Natsuo murmured.
“What else would it be?” Fuyumi whispered.
“But why?” Natsuo whispered.
Todoroki said nothing. He glanced at All Might. All Might kept watch.
Once the papers were signed, All Might cleared his throat. “I’m sorry we could not say anything sooner. This matter is highly confidential.”
“About what?” Natsuo asked.
“Even I am unsure of all the details.” All Might’s eyes seemed to soften. His lips were a thin line.
Todoroki stared at him for a long moment. He glanced at Natsuo and Fuyumi. Natsuo’s jaw tensed. Fuyumi stood straighter.
“Are we in danger?” Fuyumi asked.
“No,” All Might said.
“Is this something Shouto should really be doing?” Fuyumi asked.
“The Hero Commission believes so.”
“But do you?”
All Might was quiet a long moment. “From what I understand, there is no reason he should not.”
Todoroki watched All Might’s face. It was that face when Midoriya broke his fingers. The face when Bakugou and Midoriya fought after the kidnapping. That face. All Might did not like this. Todoroki tensed and looked around them. There was no one out of place. There were no windows. There were only two doors in view. His eyes returned to All Might. All Might held his gaze. “You are all safe,” All Might mouthed.
It seemed that way. Todoroki remained silent. He followed his siblings, Detective Tsukauchi, and a pro with a wasp theme down the hall. All Might brought up the rear. There was an observation room at the end of the hall. The siblings sat in the chairs provided. The room on the other side of the glass was dark.
“I will be outside the door,” All Might said. He closed it behind him. The siblings were alone.
“I don’t like this,” Natsuo whispered.
“If they were going to do something I think they would have done it by now,” Fuyumi whispered.
Todoroki remained silent.
The lights in the other room turned on. Todoroki’s heart caught in his throat but in a way vastly different from how it moved when he was around Bakugou. Fuyumi froze, her fingers curving but not quite curling.
“Touya!” Natsuo exclaimed, his voice thin.
Dabi stared at them. He was strapped to a chair and there were reinforced gloves on his hands to smother ignition. He laughed a dry, hoarse cough. “The assholes running this place must be desperate for fun.”
Fuyumi’s fingers curled into fists. Todoroki tried to keep his attention forward. He tried to keep his mind focused. It kept flickering back to the villain raid. The fire. The blood. The collapse….
“This doesn’t make any sense.” Natsuo said. “What the hell is this? What kind of sick entertainment….?” his voice thinned further. “How long have you been alive?”
“Who said I was alive?” Dabi snorted. “Surprised you were let in here without the chimney to supervise.”
“I’m in charge here,” Fuyumi said firmly. Her gazed locked with Dabi’s gaze.
“Ooooo….teacher voice,” Dabi said. “What are you going to do? Expel me?”
“I’m in charge here,” Fuyumi repeated. “This is cruel and unusual punishment for all of us. I work hard. I don’t use my quirk on others. I pay our bills. I make sure everyone has what they need. What has Natsuo and Shouto done to deserve this shock? Why couldn’t you people tell me and let me handle this? I’m the oldest. This is my burden. There was no reason to do this to my brothers.”
“Fuyumi…” Natsuo murmured.
“No.” Fuyumi’s fists tightened steadily. “No, I’m serious. Shouto is only sixteen. He’s fighting a war. Natsuo is working so hard to become a nurse, which must be so stressful. How does this help them? How does this help anyone? It doesn’t. This is unproductive.”
“Then what are you going to do about it, Fuyumi?” Dabi asked. “You don’t use your quirk on people.”
“None of us should!” Fuyumi said. “Isn’t that what we all should have learned?”
Dabi snorted. He leaned his head back as much as the high back of his chair would allow. “If these freaks want a show. I can give them one.”
Todoroki tensed. He turned the palm of his right hand upward and curved his fingers, keeping his movements small so not to draw attention from anyone observing. He did not call his quirk, but waited.
“When Natsuo was two he was a fucking prodigy. He opened his mouth one morning and let out a bunch of misty icy fog into the playroom. It was ridiculous like a fucking frog or something.” Dabi smirked but there was no mirth in his eyes. “Anyway, we had a blast. We played swamp monster for hours. Fuyumi and Mom would have loved it, but Fuyumi had a fever so they were busy. This was before we had anyone else watching us.
“Anyway, Endeavor comes home and the playroom is a fucking disaster. Everything’s been stewing in frozen mist all day. Mom never saw it so no one gave a shit about it, so we just didn’t realize you know what was coming.”
Todoroki’s heart rate sped up involuntarily. He could almost finish the story though he had not lived it.
“So Endeavor comes home and he’s pissed already because that’s who he is. He starts roaring audibly fire and voice. No clue what the fuck he said it was all noise. He grabs Natsuo because the last time he grabbed me he left bruises without even trying. I had to make a choice. I had to do something. So I light myself on fucking fire.” Another breathless coughy laugh escaped. There was still no mirth. “It hurt like a bitch. I was covered in blisters immediately. Endeavor shoves Natsuo aside and starts shouting at me and rolled me up in this carpet in the playroom until all the fire was out. So now I couldn’t run, couldn’t hide. Natsuo is crying.
“Mother appears.”
Dabi’s face contorted. “She should have stayed with Fuyumi. Mother could do this thing where she could cover her body in ice, so she had this shield. I tried to get out of the rug but it was too tight. I couldn’t do anything. Natsuo kept crying. I didn’t know what to do. So that night I took Natsuo and ran away.”
“What…?” Fuyumi whispered.
“We got picked up by the police immediately. So I made up a bullshit story about a villain with a fog quirk. It worked? Endeavor actually told me I was brave or some shit. How the fuck did that work? Everything got stricter after that.”
“What the heck…?” Natsuo whispered. “What the…? I don’t remember any of this! My quirk’s too weak to even show up!”
Dabi wheezed. “Lies.” He sighed. “My story is true. You can prove it. Open your mouth and let it fly.”
“Don’t,” Fuyumi whispered, her teeth close together.
“I read the agreement,” Natsuo whispered. “Besides, we all know my quirk’s a dud.”
“There’s more proof of the story,” Dabi said. “You’ve got burn scars on your elbows.”
Natsuo tugged at the sleeve of his shirt self consciously. He pressed his lips together. “Endeavor’s grabbed me like that lots of times because I’m as good as quirkless.”
“Who said that? Endeavor? Fuck him.” Dabi snorted.
“Well maybe you’d know if you didn’t disappear! I saw you die! Fuyumi saw you die! Endeavor saw you die! Mother saw him carry your body out the door! And here you are!” Natsuo’s chest heaved. His lips trembled. Tears formed but did not fall. “We’re just some freak show. Can’t even take you home.”
“That’s not my home.”
“Touya –”
“Dabi. My name is Dabi. Touya died from his injuries in a white room. I’m going to die in a ball of fire.”
“You’re just going to die again?! What kind of BS is that?!” Natsuo’s fists were so tight his knuckles paled.
“Do you really think the heroes will let me live after I ripped Endeavor’s heart out? Natsuo, you’re a genius. You can do math like some human calculator. They’re not going to let me live. They already took the bad doctor away. It’s already set in stone. I just got to do it first before I fall to pieces.”
“Wait,” Fuyumi said. Tiny snowflakes began to appear instead of tears. They melted the instant they touched Todoroki. “I didn’t hear that right. You did what?”
“I ripped Endeavor’s heart out. You can thank me later.”
Fuyumi sucked in a breath. “You did that?”
“Yeah.”
Fuyumi’s fingers trembled. Her arms trembled. The tremor worked its way to her torso, her face, her legs, and feet. “I….” More snowflakes appeared. “I didn’t want that!”
“That’s because you’re too steeped in Endeavor’s bullshit –”
“I AM NOT!” Fuyumi held Dabi’s gaze. “He was terrible to us! He used his quirk on his own family! That’s not love! But….but that doesn’t mean he deserved what you did! He was changing!”
“He wasn’t changing! He can’t change! If he was going to change, then he should have changed the first time he used his quirk against Mother! He should have changed when –” Dabi tried to shout but it led to coughing and a quiet, wheezy, “Fuck.”
Fuyumi waited for the coughing fit to pass. She sat straight in her chair. Her fists were so tight her nails drew blood from her palms. More snowflakes fell from her eyes, some gathered around her fists. “Did you even think about the consequences?! Did you even think about us?!”
“Of course I did! I didn’t even attack Shouto in that stupid forest or at the raid.” Dabi’s hand moved in Todoroki’s direction vaguely despite being restrained.
“No! No you didn’t think of us at all! This isn’t cathartic, it’s a nightmare! I woke up in the middle of the night and Dad and Shouto were both unconscious and in the hospital and had been for hours! I had to sit there and watch them decide if they were going to live or die! Now I have to deal with you as a villain in this place. I…” Fuyumi shuddered with a silent sob. “I…” She could not finish. She removed her glasses and put her hands on her eyes. Snowflakes kept falling from her hands and face.
No one spoke. Todoroki saw every sob but Fuyumi made no noise. How many times did she cry and they just did not know? How stressed was she? What could he do? What was he supposed to do?
“Do something, Natsuo,” Dabi said.
Natsuo’s hand hovered above Fuyumi’s head. “Do you…? Should….?”
“I don’t know,” Fuyumi wailed as quietly as possible.
“For fuck’s sake. Just wrap your arms around her. That’s what you do. She’s a crier,” Dabi said.
Why was it so hard? Todoroki frowned and then put his hand on Fuyumi’s shoulder. “Is it too hot?”
“No….”
Natsuo slid as far over as he could in his chair that was bolted to the floor. He put an arm over her shoulders.
Fuyumi just cried harder but still silently.
“We should….We should go,” Natsuo said. “Fuyumi’s This isn’t productive.”
Todoroki looked up at the ceiling trying to find the camera. He could not locate any. Perhaps a quirk recorded them instead or the cameras were too well hidden. “Let us out! We’re done!”
There were several voices outside the door.
“Then you’ll have to arrest me!” All Might boomed.
Silence followed.
The door unlocked. All Might appeared, breathing labored. “Let’s go.” He looked at them a long moment and then looked at someone behind the wall in the hallway. “We’re leaving.” It was firm. Final.
Natsuo and Todoroki helped Fuyumi to her feet. She could not stop crying. Natsuo wrapped an arm around her shoulders and helped her to the door. Todoroki paused and looked back at Dabi.
“See you later, little brother!” Dabi called out. The lights on his side of the glass went out.
Todoroki lingered. The other room remained completely dark. Was that really Touya?
“Todoroki-shounen, we must go,” All Might’s voice was barely audible.
Fuyumi still cried snowflakes. She still made no noise. Natsuo offered her some tissues. Todoroki swallowed something in his throat. He followed All Might out of the room.
===
So, I needed a subplot for Todoroki so he didn’t like disappear in the word count. I was also not really sure what to do with Gang Orca who’s his current internship. I kind of didn’t know what to do until I decided when the League broke Dabi out of prison, the Hero Commission put the Todoroki family basically under a type of house arrest to prevent Dabi from interacting with them. This evolved into the Hero Commission trying to bait Dabi into attacking Endeavor or any of the other sitting ducks in a bid to recapture Dabi.
Meanwhile, after resonating so much Todoroki and Bakugou double knocked each other out with their amplified attacks at the sports festival, they realize they have to train this soulbond resonance thing. Aizawa is helping them do this, since Aizawa has done it before (though this is just heavily implied in the fic, Aizawa never tells them why he’s the one training them).
So, this section picks up in October or so of second year after the cultural festival. Class 2-A put on a play Kouda wrote about superhero insects. That’s what the first part of this section is going on about. Also, as a side note, Bakugou’s new internship is with Miruko. Natsuo and Todoroki have been messaging each other since the family dinner incident. since part of the goal of the fic is for Todoroki to grow closer to both Natsuo and Fuyumi.
***
The play was a success. The jokes for the most part landed and the audience seemed to enjoy the ending when Hagakure sent Bakugou sliding across the stage. They won their year but the overall school champion was Class 1-J and their maze. After the festival wrapped, it was time to study for midterms. The mornings grew increasingly chilly making jogging easier. By the end of the month, Todoroki was running faster and found he had more strength and endurance during his resonance training.
Today was the last day to train the resonance before midterms. When their cellphones buzzed to indicate the end to the session, Todoroki and Bakugou walked over to Aizawa. Aizawa observed them a long moment. “For the last few weeks, you’ve gotten to a point I don’t need to use my quirk during some of our sessions. You’re showing greater control when attacking and greater control when you try to disconnect from the resonance. After midterms, I think you will be able to start practicing attacking simultaneously. Custom dual attacks can come later after you prove you won’t create indiscriminate bombs you can’t control.”
“About time,” Bakugou said. He let off a series of sparks, each spark diminishing in intensity as Todoroki calmed and Bakugou’s excitement grew.
The session ended. After cleaning up and changing, they headed to the cafeteria, walking in step with each other. Todoroki’s phone buzzed. He glanced at the screen and then accessed his messages with Natsuo.
Natsuo: I did it! Behold~
Natsuo:  [a stack of Japanese style pancakes sitting on a plate]
Natsuo:  Be jealous.
Todoroki silently snorted. He texted as he walked, too hungry to pause.
Todoroki: No syrup?
Natsuo: I put the sugar in the batter.
Todoroki’s lips turned upward as he put his phone back in his pocket. While stuck in his apartment near campus, Natsuo started cooking regularly. He always sent Todoroki a photo of his successes. Todoroki hoped the pancakes tasted as good as they looked.
That phantom tightness returned to Todoroki’s stomach. Bakugou looked away casually like Todoroki could not feel the tightness.
“Are you okay?” Todoroki asked.
“Of course I am.”
Todoroki’s phone buzzed several times like a phone call. He frowned and glanced at the screen. It was a call from Natsuo. Natsuo never called. Todoroki slowed and answered the call.
“…going to kill you,” a faraway voice murmured.
“You don’t know that!” Natsuo hissed. He also seemed far away from the phone.
Todoroki froze. His heart started beating faster but it was different than when Bakugou made it beat faster.
“How can you trust the Hero Commission to do anything? They looked at Mother’s medical assessment and said, ‘Yeah nothing to see here,’ and then locked her away.” Dabi was the faraway voice.
“She has a legitimate mental illness you know. Oh wait. You don’t know. You decided to fuck off on us!”
Todoroki looked down the hall. Bakugou stood only two paces away, eyes fixed on him. “Get Aizawa,” Todoroki mouthed.
Bakugou disappeared back towards the gym.
“Do you think I chose to die?!” There was a raspy, breathy chuckle.
“Well, you’re still alive, so I don’t know!” Natsuo shouted.
There was a scuffle. Something or someone seemed to hit a wall possibly.
“Shut up! Shut up! Do you want to get busted?!” Dabi hissed. Then he said something too quiet for Todoroki to discern all the words.
Aizawa and Bakugou appeared. Todoroki bit his inner lip. There were no more voices, but he did not dare take the phone from his ear. “Sensei…I….” his voice trailed. He tried to ignore his own rushing, cycling emotions. “Natsuo’s phone called me. Dabi’s there.” His voice was not as firm as he wanted it to sound. He hoped no one on the other end would hear him and end the call.
There were still no more voices on Natsuo’s end of the call.
Aizawa pulled out his own phone. “I’m going to contact Detective Tsukauchi. Don’t hang up.”
On the phone, someone in another apartment turned on the television or maybe the radio. Someone honked multiple times outside the window. There were no other noises.
Todoroki’s heart kept pounding. He did not move.
Aizawa greeted Tsukauchi barely. “I’ve been alerted that Dabi is at Todoroki Natsuo’s location.” He looked at Todoroki. “Are they talking?”
Todoroki shook his head.
“There are no voices on the call now.” Aizawa was quiet for a long moment. “Alright. Thanks.” He hung up and looked at Todoroki. “He’s going to forward the information.”
Todoroki nodded. The television kept playing. There was the sound of a door barely. Then nothing. Absolutely nothing. The call ended. Todoroki’s phone slipped from his hand. He took a step back and leaned against the wall. His hands kept trembling. He was sort of certain Dabi would not hurt Natsuo. He was not sure about the Hero Commission. Now what? What about Fuyumi? Was Dabi going to try and take her too? Would he come to UA? What kind of battle would that be this time?
Aizawa’s hand hovered beside Todoroki’s arm and then withdrew. “Todoroki, I need you to breathe.” His voice was low, steady.
“Natsuo’s not a villain,” Todoroki whispered. “Fuyumi’s not either….”
“I know,” Aizawa’s voice was quiet, still firm.
“But do they know?” Todoroki put emphasis on the word they.
Aizawa did not answer. Maybe he could not answer or did not know.
Todoroki took a few deep breaths. What could he do? He could not leave campus. Even if he could leave campus, then what? Even if he was there, then what? Could he have stopped it?
“Todoroki,” Aizawa said, pausing until Todoroki looked at him, “you can’t let what ifs and unknowns overwhelm you. If you need things, ask for them. We might not be able to let you leave here, but there are other things we can do.” He paused and waited. When Todoroki said nothing, Aizawa said, “I’ll let you know if there are updates.”
“Thanks.” Todoroki took a deep breath and stepped away so he could pick his phone up off the floor. “I’ll…let you know if there’s anything.” Did he want anything? Did he need anything? There was a rushing in his ears with no sound. His shoulders tensed. He wanted to scream.
Aizawa left.
Bakugou watched the direction Aizawa left in for a long moment. He was either calm or his emotions so much quieter than Todoroki’s own that Todoroki could barely feel any of them.
Todoroki remained standing in the hallway, clutching his phone. What should he do? Should he call Fuyumi? Was she in danger? Should he text Endeavor? He was definitely in danger. Did they already know? If they asked for details, Todoroki would have none to give. He could not even prove Dabi took Natsuo, though he doubted Dabi would kill Natsuo. Kurogiri probably used his quirk. Todoroki’s grip on his phone tightened. His jaw clenched.
Bakugou approached and extended a hand. When Todoroki did not step away, Bakugou carefully worked the phone out of Todoroki’s grip. “Breathe,” his voice was louder than a whisper but still quiet.
Todoroki inhaled and exhaled. He lowered his head and then ran a hand through his hair.
“I’d kick your ass in the gym but we already did that. Miruko says what we need most now is protein and rest.”
“I don’t know if I can eat.” Todoroki’s stomach rumbled in protest.
“Do you want to bother with the fucks in the cafeteria or eat at the dorm?”
Todoroki rubbed his face. His thoughts were still all over the place. “I want…to do something normal.” Maybe. He had to do something at least. He also had to eat. Maybe things would seem steadier after eating.
Bakugou nodded. He handed the phone back to Todoroki, who put it in his pocket.
“Thanks.” Todoroki tried to breathe deeply. He put a hand on Bakugou’s shoulder. It made things seem more real. Todoroki dropped his hand and headed to the cafeteria.
A few seconds later, Bakugou followed. They parted on their way to get their food as they always did. Todoroki took another deep breath and kept his face neutral. His emotions were still anything but.
===
While Todoroki’s stuck on campus indefinitely, he’s been interning with Present Mic temporarily since he can’t go to his internship with Gang Orca. This will be Dabi’s final appearance in the fic.
I decided to kill Dabi because I wanted to keep a 1:1 hero : villain death ratio. So since Best Jeanist died earlier in the fic, Dabi was the League member to die.
***
Everything seemed surreal. Todoroki sat on the floor in Aizawa’s and Present Mic’s apartment with a cat nestled against his left side. Eri stretched out on the other side of the cat. She had a blank notebook she was filling with doodles. She sang softly with the pop act preforming on the New Year’s variety show on the television. Present Mic and Aizawa were in the kitchen preparing food. The apartment was a modest two-bedroom apartment in commuting distance to UA. Artwork and photos decorated the living room. On either side of the TV were two picture frames. One was a selfie of Present Mic and Aizawa that had to be almost ten years old from when they first moved in and the other was a timed photo with Eri on the sofa from last year. The same cat against Todoroki’s side was the cat Eri held in the photo. The second cat was more aloof and remained in Aizawa and Present Mic’s bedroom on its own volition.
After lunch, Present Mic received permission from the Hero Commission for Todoroki to leave campus under certain conditions. Todoroki could only go to the off campus apartment, he could not tell anyone outside of UA staff that he was not on campus, and he had to return to UA by noon tomorrow. How Present Mic made it happen, Todoroki did not know.
Paper ripped, drawing Todoroki’s attention. Eri sat up and smiled that same awkward smile from the photo except it reached her eyes more now. “I drew this for you.” The picture was the two of them sitting on the floor with the warm cat and the aloof cat. She drew the cats better than the people. Across the top of the drawing was “Happy New Year” written in hiragana.
“It’s really nice.” Maybe more than that. It was the first drawing someone gave him. Todoroki rolled it up carefully and set it where it would stay nice. He would put it up in his dorm room later.
“Maybe when Mei-chan gets used to you she’ll come out of the bedroom. She’s very soft.” Eri smiled a little bigger. “Last year she curled up with me on the sofa. I want to stay up all night this year!” It was an ambitious goal.
Eri made it to about ten thirty before she reluctantly fell asleep between the cats on the floor. Aizawa put her to bed. Close to midnight, Present Mic cracked the window and they listened to gongs from a nearby temple. By twelve fifteen, Aizawa was in bed. Present Mic and Todoroki finished a movie that started a little after midnight. By three in the morning, only Todoroki remained in the living room. He could not sleep. The futon was comfortable but his mind kept wandering. He scrolled through his messages.
Fuyumi messaged him leading up to midnight and a little after before disappearing. Bakugou sent him pictures of food that Todoroki responded to with little cat stickers he found in his phone options. The Class 2-A chat finally quieted for the night for the most part. Todoroki put his earbuds in and opened a music app. He opened a user profile that had several playlists of music sorted by century. He was several playlists in, but still in music made before quirks. This playlist was a bit peppier than the previous playlist. He saved songs he liked to a playlist of favorites. Todoroki watched colorful lights shoot across his phone screen, moving somehow in rhythm to the music. It was hypnotizing
His phone buzzed.
Hero Highway: Endeavor spotted in Shinjuku! Live feed!
Hero Highway was a service that tapped into local security cameras and provided live streams of events in real time, some of which never made the news. Midoriya suggested it along with some similar services that also specialized in rare footage and news. Todoroki hesitated and the alert disappeared, returning him to the light display and music. He paused the music and closed out of the app. He opened Hero Highway.
The video angle was from the perspective of a security camera second story balcony on the same side of the road. Endeavor stood almost unrecognizable, his muscles considerably leaner and his shirt almost a size too big. The building behind Endeavor glowed orange, setting a familiar glow in absence of flames.
Dabi stood a few meters to the left facing Endeavor, his shoulders surprisingly relaxed. Cars sped past them on the other side of the road. People nearby gawked. Some wore kimono, others street clothes.
“Where’s Natsuo, Touya?” Endeavor asked, his voice barely carrying to the microphone.
“That’s not my name now,” Dabi hissed, his voice carrying slightly more. “Natsuo is safe.”
“Your lair isn’t safe!” Endeavor’s posture changed to the one he struck most often before igniting. There were still no flames.
“It’s safer than being surrounded by Commission pricks!
“It’s safer than surrounded by Commission pricks! I mean look what they did to Hawks. Who would trust them with their children?” Dabi’s voice grew louder.
“Touya –”
“You know when I was twelve I reported you to the police,” Dabi said, projecting his voice as if on stage. “They threatened me! They said I must be desperate for attention! That if we angered you, we were at fault! That I lied about Mother! They said it was discipline! That wasn’t discipline!” his voice grew in intensity and volume. He let over several wheezy coughs after.
Endeavor said something in response, but it was too quiet for the camera to record.
“No! I won’t! Everyone should know! If the Musutafu police office is worth their asses, they’ve still go it on record! It’ll be from March fifteen years ago at midnight. I detailed everything. If anyone wants to go digging, it’ll be the file about the father who uses his fire quirk against his family. Sometimes it’s ‘training’ sometimes it’s an argument, sometimes it’s ‘discipline’ which leaves blistered and marks. It sucked ass when it was me. I hated waking up to an immediate fight or being covered in burn salve gauze, but then Shouto got his quirk that February and everything changed.
“Who fucking trains a three year old by attacking them? Who fucking does that? Surprise attacks. Constant fear. Constant vigilance. I had to watch you fuck him up like you fucked me up. I started trying to stand up to you, but my fucking body isn’t made for this shit. I just couldn’t take it. I just stressed out and lit myself on fire. I didn’t even fucking think.” Dabi snorted. “I can still remember standing up to you, trying to protect Shouto. I would still have the scars on my palm, but…” Dabi bent his arm at the elbow and made a gesture with his hand, “well, this skin isn’t really mine. The bad doctor kept patching me up with treated cadaver skin.”
“I know I made mistakes,” Endeavor said, his voice carrying this time. “I’ve been working to atone for them. I want everyone’s lives going forward to be better than they were. That’s why I built that house, that’s why I told the doctors it would be all right if Rei transitioned away from the hospital. It’s why I’ve made promises to everyone I intend to keep and have kept. It’s why I need to find Natsuo.”
“If you find Natsuo, they’ll just send him to jail now. You know that.” Dabi snorted. Flame flickered to his hand. “I’ve been thinking about revenge for almost twelve years – Hell, maybe my whole life. When you captured the bad doctor, my body started falling apart. Not even Natsuo can do what that geezer’s laboratory could. I’m royally fucked, but it showed me what I should do.” Fire shot up Dabi’s arm. “Fuck killing you! Fuck this body! Fuck your mistakes! Fuck your promises! Fuck everything! Live with this! You can’t save what you throw away!” Dabi’s entire body erupted in blue flame. There was a cry of shock and fear from the onlookers.
“Touya! Touya!” Endeavor ran towards him.
Dabi’s flames grew more intense. When Endeavor reached him, his flames ignited even brighter, leaping to Endeavor’s clothes and skin. Dabi fell to his knees, his flames becoming a blue beacon in the street, his body too weathered and dry to fight his quirk. Endeavor kept trying to extinguish the flames, ignoring those on his own body, but they were too intense and fast. All too quickly, all of the flames extinguished as Dabi’s quirk stopped. Endeavor sat back on his knees. A howl echoed through the street and buildings. It was not quite a cry or wail, not quite a scream or shout.
Todoroki dropped his phone. His hands shook. Tears threatened but did not fall. Touya was important to him even if his memories were faint and short. Dabi terrorized his friends and committed so many crimes even if he did not attack Todoroki directly. Dabi made Fuyumi cry and kidnapped Natsuo. Todoroki did not like Dabi. He might have loved Touya. Endeavor’s howl echoed in Todoroki’s ears even though he no longer wore his earbuds. What kind of noise was that? Was that even real? Was any of it real?
Todoroki pulled his blankets over his head. He shut his eyes tight. All he could see was Dabi burning. Todoroki opened his eyes. He did not know what to do.
