right in time for mother's day, so here's to a celebration of the motherly figures in our lives, blood related or not, for being there for us<3
Part 2✧Part 3✧Part 4✧Masterlist
A few months passed as you settled back into your routine at home. Eventually, with the noticeable changes in your body, it dawned on you that you were with child—his child, your lover from the other side of the mirror whom you could no longer reach.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks turn into months. You had adapted to the trials and tribulations of parenthood. Juggling the responsibilities of work, childcare, and household chores was no easy feat, but you found solace in the small moments of your child's growth and development.
Your child was a true joy to behold, a mirror image of their father in many ways, and you often see the ghost of your past lover in them. Having inherited his magic, your child experimented with their powers, leaving you to support them with what limited knowledge of magic that remained from your NRC days.
On one such experiment, your environment started to shift as a wave of magical energy engulfed you. When you opened your eyes again, he was there, right in front of you—
Hina (日来) with 日 meaning "sun, day" and 来 meaning "coming, future"
Leona reminded you of a shining sun that radiated warmth and light in your life, of how the it would surely shine again no matter how dark the night seemed, and so you named your daughter after that image
your daughter has the clearest emerald eyes and flowing dark brown locks that you often braided in a similar style to her father's
she's very energetic, always curious and asking questions, eager to learn more about the world around her
she's an obedient child, although she's eager to seek your affection and may whine a bit when things don't go her way
if there was one thing that was similar to the Leona you knew, it's that she's extremely clingy and constantly seeks physical affection, hugging your legs and asking for you to carry them any chance she has
and also the fact that she enjoyed her naps a bit too much
her lion ears are a bit of an issue in our world, but you often hide them with hoods, clever hair styling, or simply saying it's a costume
when you told her about the brilliant man her father is, she grew really excited about the possibility of meeting him, and started playing around with magic more to be like the intelligent mage he is
and then it happened, just an ordinary afternoon practicing magic had the two of you transported back to twisted wonderland, face to face to Leona
somehow, he had grown even more handsome in the years you hadn't seen him, but instead of his lazy smile, he looked confident and powerful, like the leader he was always meant to be
A sudden gust of magic swept through the air behind him as he raised his staff in response, only to immediately drop it in shock as your figure came into sight, and beside you, a small child that he had never seen before.
"Herbivore..." he whispered.
Without a second thought, Leona rushed towards you, his heart beating wildly in his chest. He felt a lump forming in his throat as he reached out to embrace you tightly.
"This better not be a dream," he murmured into the crook of your neck as he inhaled your scent. "It's really you."
after a tearful reunion and introduction, Leona quickly excuses himself from his duties with a quick meeting with Falena, and helps you and Hina settle into the palace
since you left, Leona's been working hard to do what he can do as per your promise with him
he's now in charge of foreign affairs and on better terms with his brother after much needed communication
he showers you in affection, he's even clingier than before that it almost starts a rivalry with your daughter
he puts in a lot of effort to spend time with Hina, learning her likes and dislikes and bonding over magic
uncle jack and ruggie are always fun to be around and play with her
though it wasn't his fault, leona feels guilty you had to bare the responsibility on your own for so long, and he puts in a lot of effort to make amends for any mistakes work to build a strong relationship with you two
he has a family now, and you're damn sure he'll protect it with his life
Leona looked down at Hina, feeling a sense of pride and wonder at the little girl standing before him. "Hey there," he said, his voice gentle. "Nice to meet ya, kiddo."
Hina stared at him, her eyes searching his face. "Are you my dad?" she asked, her voice small and uncertain.
Leona's heart ached at the question, knowing that he had missed so much of her life. "Yeah, I'm your dad," he said, reaching out to take her hand.
Hina looked at him for a moment before a smile spread across her face. "Can you show me magic?" she asked, her eyes lighting up with excitement.
Leona felt a sense of joy at her words, feeling a connection with her that he had never felt before. "Of course I can," he said, standing up and taking her hand. "What do you wanna see?"
Sakura (桜) meaning "cherry blossoms"
your daughter has sleek teal hair that reminds you of the sea, a single strand of dark hair, and mismatched eyes in the same manner as Floyd
Floyd had lovingly given you the nickname "Shrimpy", and it only felt right for your daughter to be named Sakura, after the tiny sakura-shrimp
she's incredibly mischievous and there's not a moment of silence with her, she's spontaneous and playful and you've got your hands full
though she is very considerate of you and will listen to your words, she's uncontrollable when she's bored and in need of a spark of interest
she's also a squeezer, much like her father, and hugs you every time she sees you or anyone she likes, and you're thankful her strength hasn't developed too much yet
she enjoys biting you, albeit gently, and you find your arms littered with bite marks, but it's her unique way of showing affection
her eel form won't show unless she's been in the water for too long (thankfully), and she enjoys squeezing you in her eel form even more
ever so curious, she's asked about her father many times, and you've told her how carefree and easygoing her father is, and that he'd love her the moment she saw her
which leads you to her magic actually teleporting you to him, her spontaneous idea having manifested itself, and you found in a dimly lit room similar to the Mostro Lounge
Floyd looked matured, his hair sleeked back and his features sharpened, though his wry smile that you loved had stayed the same
Floyd's eyes widened with shock and disbelief, and his steps quickened as he rushes towards you, his long arms outstretched in a gesture of longing. As he got closer, he noticed the beautiful and curious-looking child standing close to you.
"Shrimpy?" he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "No way... It's really you!"
Floyd pulled you close, holding you tightly as if he never wanted to let go. "I missed ya so much, I wish I hadn't let ya go," he said, his voice choked with emotion as tears threatened to spill. "You're not allowed to leave again, okay?"
Floyd is so ecstatic he can't stand still, once he's calmed down a bit, be immediately carries Sakura and drags you to Jade and Azul
Azul and Jade are pleasantly surprised at your return, and it's a warm welcome back
the two of them are glad Floyd won't be moping any time soon
the trio have now expanded into a franchise and divulged into many businesses, though Floyd largely acts as Azul's right-hand man
Now that you're back, he refuses to be apart from you, always holding onto you tightly and afraid you might disappear just like how suddenly you appeared
he does get mood swings where he's upset or angry, not at you though, just at how unfair things were and how he couldn't be there for you
he's a good eel who does everything to make sure you and Sakura are happy and comfortable, often cooking meals for you two
he's so curious about Sakura and enjoys playing with her and lifting her high up in the air
don't worry, he's extremely careful, this precious gem is why you got back to him!
Jade is the best uncle and Sakura wants to marry him??? (honestly same)
poor Azul is getting pranked by the daughter- father duo, though Sakura does comfort him afterwards with squeezes and kissss
Floyd looked down at Sakura, and he saw her staring back at him with wide, curious eyes in the opposite colours of his eyes. Though she resembled him physically, there was an air about her that was so distinctly his Shrimpy.
"Heya," Floyd said, trying to sound friendly. "I'm your dad."
Sakura giggled and reached out to him, her tiny hands grasping at his hands. Floyd froze, not sure what to do, letting her yand his hand forward. But then, she opened her mouth and bit down on finger.
"Hey!" Floyd cried, pulling back in surprise.
Sakura just laughed, her eyes sparkling with mischief. Floyd couldn't help but laugh too, despite the pain in his finger.
"Yer a feisty one, aren't ya, Sakura-shrimpy?" he teased, grinning down at her as he ruffled her hair. "You know," he whispered, "you can't just go around biting people like that. But I like your style."
Isami (功己) 功 meaning "achievement, credit, honour, merits" and 己 meaning "self, serpent, snake."
your son has smooth ebony locks and sharp grey eyes that make him look slightly intimidating
Jamil had shown you how much he valued his achievements over his social status, so you chose a name the could embody him
he's a quiet child who's always attentive and careful
he's rather shy in front of other people, but when it's you he'll soak up all of your affection and stare at you with longing eyes seeking praise
he's a cute helper at home too! he always volunteers to help you with chores and cook in the kitchen, though you're careful he's not close to anything sharp or dangerous
he does have an inherent fear of bugs, something he's inherited from Jamil, but thankfully you've taught him to be less destructive than his father
do expect screams and for him to be crying as a little fly chases him around though
he's incredibly smart and talented at magic, easily grasping the concepts of magic you can only teach him theoretically
when you told him about his father, you've told him about the diligent man that his father is, and how would let his guard down around those he treasured
he had listened quietly without much of a change in his expression, but you could tell there was a bubbling excitement building up in his eyes
and no long after that, he managed to teleport the two of you to a warm, airy room of marble walls
Jamil's features had sharpened, he seemed more openly confident and comfortable with himself
Jamil's heart skipped a beat as he saw you. It had been five years since he bid your farewell at the mirror chamber and lost you forever. And yet here you were standing here in front of him with a child in tow, a child who resembled him so much.
"It can't be..." he murmurs.
Without hesitation, Jamil dropped all the papers and rushed towards you, his heart pounding furiously. His eyes locked with yours, and in that moment, time seemed to stand still. He could see the love and longing still shining in your eyes, and he knew deep down that he had never stopped loving you.
Jamil couldn't stop the tears that began streaming down his face. "I've missed you so much," he said, his voice raspy. "Letting you go is the worst decision I've ever made." He reached out and pulling you into a tight embrace, his arms shaking with emotions.
he's a bit overwhelmed but still so thankful you're back in his life
Kalim barges in at this time and exclaims in surprise at your return and ??? OMG JAMIL YOU HAVE A SON?!!
Jamil has half a mind to dissuade him from holding a banquet immediately to welcome you back, and instead take things slow to not overwhelm you or Isami
asks Kalim for some privacy and the second he's away, he melts into your embrace
he hasn't felt so at ease in so long
if he wakes up in the morning and you're not right there beside him, he's panicking and searching all over the place for some confirmation you're still here
he's very curious about Isami and asks him all sorts of questions to piece together his development and personality
they definitely have a rivalry over who's braver over bugs but it just ends up with the two hugging you for safety
he's a bit awkward with how careful he is with his emotions, so it takes Isami some time to fully trust him
but trust me, Jamil will go above and beyond for his family and there's no way Isami will have to endure what Jamil did in his childhood
Jamil's eyes widened in surprise and wonder. He couldn't believe that they had created a life together. He knelt down to the Isami' eye level and looked into his eyes. "Hello there," he said, his voice gentle and warm. "What's your name?"
Isami starred back at him, his eyes wide with distrust and caution before he buried his face in your legs. Jamil chuckled softly. "It's okay," he comforted. "You don't have to be shy around me. I'm your dad."
Isami looked up at him again, this time with a mix of curiosity and wonder. "Daddy?" they said, testing the word out.
Jamil smiled warmly as nodded, his heart swelling with love and joy. "Yes, daddy," he parroted. "And I promise I'm never going to leave you or your mommy again."
Yuri (百合) meaning "lily"
Lilia's name always reminded you for lily flowers, and what better name for your daughter to embody him?
your daughter has straight raven hair with some of the hair flipping upwards resembling two horns, angular fae ears, and bright crimson eyes
she's always up for pranks and mischief, it's rare to see her without a smile
she loves exploring places, if you keep your eyes off her for one second, she's letting her curiosity take her to whatever she wants
if you're serious and stern though, she will listen to you, she wouldn't dare make her mother upset!
she's friendly with everyone and isn't shy to say hi to neighbors or absolute strangers
she's not overly affectionate, but she definitely enjoys hugs and kisses from you
she has an odd habit of taking stray animals back home in an attempt to adopt them, so you have little adventures with her trying to find an owner
do not let her in the kitchen
she has surely inherited her father's cooking abilities, somehow, she can render even a piece of toast beyond human consumption
magic comes as second nature to her, and she's always standing on ceilings
gosh her eyes absolutely sparkled when you told her about the teasing and mischievous fae that is her father
and soon, the portal opened and you found yourself in a gothic castle lit up by green candles
He's a lot taller, his hair longer and reaching his waist, and more enchanting than ever
Lilia stood in shock as your family figure come into sight. In all his years of living, he had never been so utterly stunned. After all these years, you had finally returned to him.
"Beastie..." Lilia gasped, his voice catching in his throat.
With a surge of energy, Lilia broke free from the trance-like state and hurried towards you, his hair streaming behind him like a dark flag as he enveloped you tightly in his embrace. "After all these years, you've truly come back to me?"
Carefully, Lilia held you at arm's length, studying your matured features, etching them into his memory like a cherished work of art. His eyes traced the lines and contours of your face, memorizing every detail that time had etched upon you.
"My, how you've grown," Lilia murmured, a mix of pride and wistfulness coloring his words. "The years have shaped you into a remarkable individual."
it's family reunion time!!!
he immediately drags you to the throne room where malleus, silver and sebek are
malleus is now king with two incredibly reliable bodyguards, and Lilia's his most trusted advisor
malleus is so glad his dear human friend is back, silver is satisfied that his father will have someone to be with, and sebek is screaming about Yuri, though she enjoys his loudness
for a while, Lilia is extremely affectionate, trying to make up for all the years that had gone by
when you're sleeping together at night, he hugs you tightly and it's difficult to leave his embrace
he definitely tries to cook for you two, going on and on about how the two of you need to stay healthy and need lots of nutrients
you always volunteer your portion for Yuri, and she'll gladly eat whatever her father has cooked for her
silver is an older brother often on babysitting duty, and Yuri loves watching him spar with sebek and also wants to learn
Sebek is quite fond of Yuri, and he sees his half-fae self in her
Lilia is always trying to fun with Yuri, bouncing her high up in the air and teaching her to hang upside down and swing around
plans so many family vacations, he can't wait to be exploring places with his two darlings
"Is she... ours?" Lilia asked. At your nod, he reached out to caress Yuri's cheek, his touch gentle as if he were touching fragile porcelain.
"Well, I'll be damned," Lilia chuckled, his voice cracking with emotion. "I never thought I'd be a father again. But I'm glad to meet you, little one. What's your name?"
Yuri giggled and and beamed at his touch. "My name's Yuri," she said, her voice sweet as honey.
"Yuri," Lilia repeated, his heart swelling with emotion. "What a beautiful name for my beautiful girl," he reached up to fondle her hair. "You know, Yuri," Lilia said, his voice growing serious. "I may not have been there for you when you were born, but I promise I'll always be here for you from now on. No matter what happens, I'm your father, and I'll always love you darling."

DCA Promptober Day 2: Paper Pals
Twenty minutes to spare babyyy, maybe I'll keep getting quicker as the days go on lol, anywho, please enjoy!
Word count: 474
🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃
"Do it again," You hear several clicks, "If you don't mind, friend."
You don't need to glance up to tell the Daycare Attendant is staring at you. Watching. Waiting.
Not patiently, mind you. Rather, you think he's been anything but this entire time.
You don't even flinch at the sound of the paper shredder-where did he even get his hands on that?-instead sighing as you grab another plate to start on another paper pal.
"You know," You say, waving the paint brush in your hand, "If you wanted perfection, you're not looking in the right place for it. I'm a-uh, I'm uh," Why can't you think of what your job is? You shake your head, "Well I'm just a staff member, not an artist."
The bot scoffs, "Obviously not, though perhaps if you tried a little harder, you would be!"
"I just don't see the point in all this, if I'm being honest."
You didn't, you saw there being no actual gain to sitting here amusing the Daycare attendant by making art for it to tear up for, how long had it been now? Hours maybe? You're not, you're not entirely sure.
An offended gasp interrupts your train of thought, "Well that's just rude! I'll have you know I spent quite a bit of time on this, and now you're just ruining the fun."
"So is saying my paper pals are garbage," You paint another the left ear red, cleaning the brush to paint the opposite blue, "I mean really, it's a couple of paper plates and maybe some googly eyes. Sure it's not not art, but I don't think getting hung up in a museum anytime soon either, so who cares?"
You jump when a yellow hand lands on the desk in front of you, then the other. Suddenly, you find yourself eye to eye with the animatronic, his face plate spins once as he stares you dead on.
"Friend. I would appreciate if you refrain from using such language and instead focus on your task."
You lean back slightly, frowning, "Or what? You'll make me make friendship bracelets instead?"
His faceplate ticks to one side, eyes narrowing just slightly, "I might."
That shouldn't feel like as much of a threat as it does. You shouldn't feel as unnerved as you do. Why are you even here? Shouldn't you be doing actual work or something? This is all so, strange, and weird. And nothing is making any sense-
"Alright," You swallow, your sense of self-preservation kicking in, "Keep my comments to myself. Got it."
The Attendant stares at you for another few moments, unmoving. Waiting. For what?
Then, "Wonderful!" He stands straight again, clapping his hands together, "Let's take it from the top!"
You grumble, fumbling for a paper hat in the organized clutter of the desk.
This job is so frickin' weird.

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐔𝐍𝐄 𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐑.
One shot! Neptune x reader.
summary: Life was tough, and with the spawn of your new job you encountered a really interesting fortune teller machine.
Tag list: @head-in-the-icloud and the anon who’s name I don’t have :c
Warnings: not any tbh, just a fluff and lots of love to Neptune!
Notes: This character is not mine!! It belongs to @head-in-the-icloud, you can check her work for more of Neptune!! And mostly because I wanted to write for her characters, they’re so cool and their art style?? Chef’s kiss tbh. This story may not be too good, just late night thoughts and silly writing. Anyways, enjoy!!
Life was tough, really tough. Prices were skyrocketing and the money you had was little. So it was little to anyone’s surprise that when you got the job at the Pizzaplex you were relieved to the core.
Who could’ve blamed you? The job payed thirty bucks the hour, for other people it wasn’t much but for you it was plenty. So when the day came you dressed up, cleaned your hair and was ready to go.
When you arrived to the Pizzaplex you were met with lots and lots of families, some kids running around and a group of teenagers. You stood there not knowing what to do, until a bot came over and started talking to you. “Welcome to the Pizzaplex! A place of Joy and entertainment. Would you please follow me?” You weren’t surprised since this place was known for its immense success and incredibly advanced technology. But it amused you seeing it finally in person.
The bot started to walk rather fast for your liking, making you jog sometimes because of the slight speed it took. While he was moving he started to blurt out the terms and policies of the building and what the staff was ordered to do. When he finished he gave you a map of the building, while indicating which parts were the employees only. Including the employees changing room and uniforms, so giving it a smile and walking away you decided to go over there and change.
You already had a list of tasks that the bot gave you once you entered the building. So at least you weren’t lost in most of the things to do, “let’s see, uh cleaning the bathrooms, taking gums and stuff out of the tables, cleaning some stuff at the arcade etc etc..” you thought to yourself while walking down the hallways to fulfill other tasks.
You did a pretty good job you could say, the bathrooms were really cleaned and the tables were set too. Although It surprised you the the amount of gum and some stickers stuck below the tables at the place. Guess some kids don’t want to stand up and look for the trash can. Now, you checked again your tasks list and saw the “cleaning the arcade” with a little list below of the things you had to clean.
In the arcade, you looked around to see all the colorful lights and the various games that were installed. No wonder why this place was so popular, it was big as hell! Surely kids could see this like heaven. “Okay now..” you said to yourself before going in and reading some of the machines you were supposed to be cleaning. Some of them were really neat and some of them had some dust on them, probably because they were on the corner.
Walking around the place, you stopped over your shoes and looked besides you. It was a somewhat big machine that had Neptune written in the top of it. Looking at it, you saw the big animatronic sitting in the middle and the arms in the sides. It amused you, and you couldn’t hold yourself into seeing what it was about. After all you were very curious yourself, so you took out a coin out of your pocket and insert it into the machine. Watching with intense curiosity when the head of the animatronic lit up and a “hi :>” popped in it.
You cracked a smile and said hi in a low tone, the animatronic seemed to scan you for a moment or at least that’s what you thought since it stood there watching you for a few seconds before a card popped in a small compartment of the machine. You took it and read it “A lot of fortune is coming to my way huh?” You quoted taking a look back to the animatronic who now it seemed to look at you.
You smiled at it, while putting the paper on your pocket. “I’m going to come back for you in a sec.” You could’ve sworn you saw its head move before waking away with a smile to clean other machines, it amused you and you really liked fortune tellers since you were a child. You didn’t really know why you just enjoyed them.
You walked around the arcade finishing your tasks from the other machines and going out of the arcade to finish up the others too. But while you were doing one you got the opportunity to talk with Freddy a little, I guess to introduce yourself better and he welcomed you to the Pizzaplex. You were of course first taken really off guard since The Freddy Fazbear the face of the whole Pizzaplex chain was talking to you. But he was really a nice guy, definitely someone you saw that you could talk at least. You didn’t met the other animatronics of the band, but you thought they might as well be nice too.
Of course the little chit chat didn’t last long thanks to a couple of families that wanted to take pictures with him along some of the children fighting to get his attention which you thought it was pretty cute and funny. You said your goodbyes before going back to your tasks and finally finishing them up by the time the store announced its closing, you smiled and went to the arcade before going to check out.
You came back to the fortune teller machine, you put a coin inside before he lit up and a card was deposited in the compartment. You took it and read it “Try to not worry about the money, the best things in life come free.” It said, you giggled at this
“Not trying to be rude, but with this economy I think I do have to worry about the money.” You looked up and you were suddenly taken aback when the animatronic moved his head to the side in sign of confusion. Mimicking your expression almost right away in his face-ball, your sight changed to one with curiosity at this. Okay so he can mimic expressions, noted. You could’ve stayed longer but your thoughts were distracted at the sound of the speaker saying “The store is now closed.” Meaning that it was definitely time to clock out, made sure you had your things on you before moving to the exit but not before waving a goodbye to the machine as you went to check out.
After this encounter, you decided to make this a regular thing. You clocked in, you did your tasks and you went to the fortune teller machine. But you started to notice that slowly, the papers started to get a little bit more personal than just random fortune telling. You started to get papers like “remember to eat” mostly when you skipped your lunches without knowing it, but how could he know when you did it? And “Are you okay?” Questions when you were feeling a little down, you didn’t know if it was because he could sense it or if you were obvious. But you shrugged it off telling him that you were okay and that there was nothing to worry about.
But strangely, that day was the day that you got sick. You got sick when you woke up in the morning and you had to call in to tell the staff management that you couldn’t come. That was for three days before you could recover, and when you did you received a little pep talk by Freddy when you arrived to the Pizzaplex on how you should keep an eye on yourself and how you should stay more cautious. Since you were still trying to beat what was little left from the cold you had you forgot to visit the fortune teller animatronic that day.
But it felt strange to you that all the time you were working you felt a pair of eyes on you if that was even possible. But when you turned around to see if anybody needed help or if there was even someone there, you were met with.. nothing. Nothing on sight. Maybe you did really needed to take a look on your lunch and stop skipping them.
That day felt strange, but when you arrived home was when you realized that you didn’t visit your fortune teller that day. You felt guilty, but also you felt a little curious about the feeling of being watched. Maybe it was just some random staff bot who was wondering around and it looked at you doing your job. Yeah, that had to be it.
So when the next day came, you made sure to try and do your tasks a little bit faster so that you could go to the machines and talk a little with the animatronic. Now that you thought of it, you didn’t really knew his name, so you decided on now refer to him as Neptune since that was the big name written all over the top of the machine. Figures too thanks to his planet-like appearance, you took a look at your clock before realizing that it was already lunch time. So this time you wouldn’t skip it, leaving one of the brooms aside and taking the lunch that you actually had time to pack that day. It consisted of a sandwich and a chocolate milk box that you bought from the cafeteria at the Pizzaplex.
Looking for a quiet place to eat, you felt the pair of eyes looking at you again. You tried to shrug it off by thinking of some random staff bot looking at you, so looking forward you were able to find a spot. It was a room that had employees only written on the door, the room looked pretty old and worn out you took a wild guess it was because there hasn’t been a lot of human staff since the great technology that this place had they really didn’t need them.
So you sat on the chair besides the table and decided to eat there. Checking your phone and scrolling through social media for a while now. But the feeling of being watched only intensified when your eyes were on the screen, so you looked up and you were suddenly shocked to see the planet-like animatronic looking right at you. “Jesus christ-!” You said before catching your phone from almost falling since it slipped from your hand.
“You can’t be scaring people like that!” You scolded, it really took the soul out of you seeing him so suddenly in front of you. “I thought you couldn’t get out of that machine since, well you’re always there.” You watched as the animatronic took a card out of his pocket and hand it over to you “I can get out, and move around with it too.” You read
“Well that explains it.” with a sigh, you left the card on the table trying to clear up your thoughts about what just happened before feeling two cold hands make their way to your cheeks. Holding them while the animatronic looked deeply at you, with worry you could’ve sworn. One of the other pair of arms handed over another card meanwhile the upper couple of hands were kept on your cheeks.
“Are you alright? I haven’t seen you around the last few days.” it read. You smiled at this but also felt a bit guilty by not coming to visit him. “Yeah, I just got sick. I’m sorry if I worried you.” You tried to smile it off, but you felt the pair of hands leave your cheeks as the animatronic sat next to you. “You aren’t much of a talker, can you even talk?” The animatronic moved its head to the sides, so he couldn’t talk? Well that explained the cards. You didn’t mind, as long as he could communicate someway it was okay for you.
Then, the animatronic pointed at the sandwich which was now long forgotten in the table. You chuckled at this taking it and taking a bite out of it for Neptunes satisfaction. You watched by the corner of your eye how his fingers were trying to really slowly get with yours. You smiled and drew your hand closer to his, and slowly intertwined your fingers with his and holding hands after. It was very peaceful, just how you liked it. When you finished your sandwich you stood up, noticing how Neptune shot you a concerned look for both of your hands.
“It’s okay, we can stay like this. I really don’t mind.” You reassured, watching how he nodded and stood up too. Since lots of the families were already leaving and the places you had tasks left to do were completely alone, you managed to do your tasks with Neptune by your side. It was funny how he watched with curiosity how you did some of them. It seemed like it was going to be a long night.
But even if it was, you didn’t mind any of it as long as you had your fortune teller besides you.

crumbs and other imaginary things
[@crystalmagpie447 remember this? well uh.]
another shift at the pizzaplex had you hunched over, with only your dutiful mop as your crutch in your moment of reprieve as you looked over the now freshly cleaned floors. no doubt they wouldn’t stay clean for long, what with all the children that always seemed to leave some sort of mess in their wake, but you still prided yourself on a job well done. you managed to actually move your legs after a few moments of simply standing there; lifting up the mop to place it in a bucket of now browned water, and stepped one foot in front of the other with said bucket in tow, all the way over to the nearest janitor’s closet. you were more general staff, really, assigned to do any odd jobs over the course of your shifts; that was a song and dance already played out, though, no doubt.
there was a remark under your breath about how nifty the wheels attached under the bucket were, how much more efficient it was to be able to roll it over to where you had to store it, considering the alternative of having to lug something of its weight all the way over with only your average amount of arm strength instead. management said not to worry about emptying the water anywhere, so you rolled it into the dim space and promptly closed the door without much thought. you mimed the action of wiping your hands clean of the deed, and laughed quietly to yourself when you noticed the familiar gesture. there was almost nobody here, except for if you counted the wet floor bots, and you liked to count them in.
in fact, just before exiting the area, you made sure to pat the one guarding your work on the top of its little head with a smile. it didn’t say anything, really couldn’t, other than a soft whirr and a mildly harrowing stare into the very fiber of your being, which you took as some sort of acknowledgment. a wave goodbye to the bot, and you set off to where you usually did when you had extra time before you legally had to clock out. it really was automatic at this point, but maybe you’d take a quick detour.
“FRIEND!! HELLO! HI!”
you grinned at sun’s overexcitement, something that never seemed to fade with every time you gave the attendant a “surprise” visit, waving back while he opened the door to the daycare wider for you, “BUDDY!! HI! HELLO!”
the both of you laughed at each other, sun jingling along with you as you walked over to the trash can by the security desk, throwing away plastic while scrubbing at your mouth with your hand to rid of any residue from the self-indulgent treat. the animatronic tilted their faceplate a few clicks to the left in curiosity, and made a noise of mild disgruntlement at such a heinously vile act, “sunshine, i really DO think it would be best to use, oh i don’t know, a napkin? tissue?”
a pointed raise of your eyebrow, fold of your arms across your chest, and you rolled your eyes at him, “oh, come on!! what happened to “how was your day, bestest buddy”?? “anything interesting happen, my dearest perfect angel that is so cool and also amazing”??? huh?”
he shook his head at your antics, hands reaching out to carefully dust away crumbs that might’ve still been clinging to your lips, “hmm.. okay then! how was your day, dearest? anything interesting happen?? do tell!!!”
when he was satisfied with the cleanliness of your face, he pulled their hands back with a tap to the corners of your lips and a spin of his rays, miming out wiping his hands clean of the deed. it was just a bit to play along to, but it still made you oh so happy, beaming up at him, “alright, alright, i’ll spill the beans-“
his faceplate clicked back to place, and a giggle, “what beans?”
a breath, “expression! figure of speech! not actual beans.”
if a plastic face had the ability to deadpan, he certainly would be using it at the moment, “we know, friend.. do go on. were those chips good? did you work hard while also making sure to take breaks?? any-”
you raised a hand, as if to halt the sunny personality’s train of worries by simply waving, and he did fall silent for a moment, “woah, okay, wait- how did you know i got chips?”
their fingers twitched, you caught from the corner of your eye, and his voice lilted while he shifted his weight from foot to foot, “crumbs!! you were chewing something crunchy, and we caught a glimpse of the bag. gotta say!! we thought you could do better with your selection of snacks.. those are infamous for being disappointing!!”
urges to hide yourself up in the jungle gym were repressed very heavily, “oh, come on! you’re gonna be weirdly observant and rip on my lackluster taste?? fake friends… the both of you!”
there was a moment of hesitation, a hushed chuckle like that of listening in to another’s word, then he pressed their hand to their chassis in dramatized dismay, “GASP!!! US?! FAKE FRIENDS??? sunshine, we could NEVER!! i only… speak the truth! is that so wrong??”
“…what if i said yes?”
the pair of you snickered at that. hands of metal and plastic and silicone cupped your cheeks once more, thumbs dabbing at the outline of your lips, and you hummed. must not have gotten all the crumbs after all. he gave you a littler smile, voice surprisingly quieter than what you were used to from the louder of the two, “i would throw you out a window! now, i’ve already said “do tell” twice now, so it’d be a little redundant to say it a third, wouldn’t it?”
you pretended to think, “huh… i guess it could be, but we wouldn’t be able to know for sure. how about you try it again and see-?”
the sun gave you its most unimpressed expression.
“ALRIGHT, alright!! pFFT- hAha, i’ll tell!!! okay, so…”
“… and then i had to clean that s- dookie!! that dookie up! not literally dookie, it came out the kid’s mouth, but uh… it sure could’ve passed from smell alone…..”
it was maybe ten minutes till you had to formally end your shift for the day, and you were somehow always surprised at how fast your extra time passed with the daycare attendant. you hadn’t spent the whole time talking about your experience through the day, as you could never remember things people asked of you to remember in the moment they did, so your ever-understanding friend had initially done a majority of the talking. describing the itinerary he had planned for the children today, how it all went mildly off-track and some improvisations had to be made, all while you helped clean up any stray toys or such still left skewed about the space. in the comfortable silence that followed, you blurted out pieces of your own activities until they finally formed the solid timeline of your day, if not broken up by a plushie-throwing battle momentarily.
the sun had set a half of the time through, though, and now you were in the company of the moon, who hummed along to your musings, “that’s disgusting. genuinely vile.”
there was no doubt a grimace painted across your features, and he seemed to laugh at the picture, “it really was! sucked. awful.”
he made some elaborate show of swimming through the air on his back, with only the cable hooked to their back piece, supporting their taunting frame, “sucks to suck, loser. you probably smell like it. take a shower, stink.”
you frowned up at him from where you walked along the hallway, sniffing at your clothes before letting your steps fall a little heavier, “shut up!! i was gonna anyways!”
the cord gave no audible indicator of the lunar dingdong gliding to hover over you with a playful grin, “stop stomping then, bozo. throwing tantrum. stinky stinker.”
“i am not!! you’re just being a jerk.”
you cringed, while moon’s smile only seemed to widen. you definitely sounded kind of whiny; you both knew that, so you switched it up with a drawn-out sigh, “ANYWAYS!! i’m gonna have to clock out soon, so don’t miss me too much while i’m gone, a’ight?”
you were steadily approaching the exit now, and the moon dragged itself along by the tether still for a quiet moment, before snorting with the barest trace of a crackle from their voicebox, “couldn’t care less.”
although, when standing in front of the shutters, he ruffled your hair a bit with a titter filled of mischief, then smoothed it back down to a poor imitation of how it looked before as he lowered himself to your standing when you complained lowly. you rolled your eyes at him, huffing, “wow, you guys really are fake…”
moon gave you a disgruntled mumble as a reply at first, before it raised to a decibel that was actually possible for humans to hear clearly, fingers wandering to trace spirals into your temple, “yeah, yeah- sooo unreal, this is all a dream. wake up. wake up. wake up. wake up.”
you breathed a laugh that went strictly against the bit, face twisted in an unwitting smile, “wake up? i would think you’d be telling me to sleep, instead. isn’t that kinda your whole thing?”
the bot fell silent for a moment, tracing out as many bumps and ridges and shapes he could of your face, like the imprinting of a memory as cool fingertips ghosted over the seam of your lips. it was a little strange, but it still relaxed the muscles in your face as he reached up slowly to brush away a fallen eyelash with a plastic knuckle, then seemed to regain his voice, “sleep. sleep. sleep. sleep. sleep.”
that finally made you cackle, and moon squeezed your cheeks lightly with eyes that wished to crinkle in mirth, letting their silicone palms slip from your jaw with a final couple of taps from thumbs to the edges of your mouth, “you’re such a weirdo, dude.”
this time he rolled his eyelights instead, the cord clipped to their back pulling taut as their smile seems a little less carved in, and he’s watching you from a bird’s eye view once more, “sure… uhuh.”
you fished out your keycard, still grinning as well, “you really are, i swear! gonna dip now, though. see you when i see you!!”
card swiped and shutters lifting, you waved to the moon as you stepped out, it reciprocating a reflection of the farewell for the night, “later, weirdo. stay safe.”
you shouted back an affirmation, and all you got in reply was the tinkling of bells.
you were glad they were salvageable.
well, you honestly were infinitely more grateful that they as a whole were salvageable. the bells were just a nice bonus. you flicked one tied to their wrist again, smiling a little to yourself.
at first the ribbons had been scorched of ash and blackened from fire, but you had cleaned and learned to stitch, so they now looked as good as new. maybe the two found peace in the fact as well, but you could never truly know what went on in their head at any given moment. only guesses, really. lots of guesses nowadays.
guesses such as who was sitting next to you at the moment. who? sun rays were out, nightcap pinned, staring at you. it was useless to have the television on, really as no one watched whatever was playing, but you still observed the light bouncing off the walls with a very real interest.
there was a painfully long stretch of silence, and though you didn’t have a clue as to whether they felt as uncomfortable as you did, you still struck up conversation. the animatronic seemed eager to listen to whatever it was you finally took a deep breath to say, eyes glued to your face as you sighed heavily, “uh, sun… moon..? are you okay?”
the static laced through their words was a lot more noticeable, fingers in their lap spasming as if indecisive, “yes!! yes, all is well, friend!! we’re alright. you alright, tv too loud? all good?!”
so, your friends weren’t quite themselves, were they? were they? you reached over to the remote on the table, switching the television off with the press of a button, while the animatronic observed after your every move. you turned to them a little more after that, and held out your arms with an unsure grin, to which sunrays extended to stab through the poor nightcap further, “i’m all good! don’t worry, buddy… do you uh, want a hug?”
there was a moment of hesitation, like their body was held back by something, yet their faceplate was lit up with a sort of unbridled joy that had your smile widening, “YES!! yes, yes!!! that would be nice, mhm. can we?!”
you raised a brow, teasing, “i’m literally the one who asked, guys. of course.”
very soon after saying that you were gathered in arms and cradled close, high pitched laughter and mumbles being whispered as you wrapped your limbs around them, still jittery hands rubbing circles into your back. digits trailed and traced up your spine, ghosting over notches of vertebrae like second nature, and you squeezed them closer still. a laugh escaped you too when you felt cold fingers trail to your upper neck and draw shapes on your cheeks, pulling your head gently to face their faceplate. rays retracted to be able to rest on your shoulder, eyes still staring at you as their plastic plated fingers brushed over your mouth, the barest of pressure to make the skin give before their line of sight finally drifted to what they were doing.
it was like lightning struck their servos, making them sit rod straight with sunrays ripping up the hat more as they flared and spun like the blades of a fan, making you wince at the future stitching project. it was like they were trying to avoid any physical contact with you now, despite you still very much being spread on their lap, and you were mildly surprised they hadn’t chucked you across the living room from the force of their jolt, “wh- are you okay?? what happened?!”
they seemed like you when you reflected on an embarrassing memory from elementary school in the dead of night, and you had to choke down a wheeze that would’ve been at their expense, mortification hidden behind the same hands that had so affectionately held you, “OH MY GOSH. WE’RE SO SORRY- sorry- WE DIDN’T EVEN ASK!! WE’RE HORRIBLE!!! fakest friends. HOW COULD WE?? horrib-“
you furrowed your brows, leaning forward to pry their hands from their face, which they probably let you from how easy it was to move them. you then replaced their hands with your own, making sure to keep eye contact while they stared into yours, lightly brushing thumbs over the designs carved onto their faceplate, “ALRIGHT, NONE OF THAT!! i don’t know what you’re freaking out about, but you’re not bad buddies at all! like, if it’s about the whole touchy-feely dealy, then you guys are fine!!! more than fine, really! don’t you think i would TELL you to stop if i got uncomfortable?!”
there was a moment of quiet, and hands that were hovering at their sides drop down to the couch cushions, “uhm.. yeah, guess so. are… are you sure, though??! can we-“
your hands found theirs in a slightly annoyed resolution, lifting them to your face to press from the palms to their fingertips to your mouth, effectively killing any words left in their voicebox. you swore you maybe heard the air conditioning kick up speed in the silence, and when you moved on to their metal knuckles, one of them breathed out static, “star, we get it..”
you huffed at them, pausing to stare at their unreadable expression, “YOU BETTER!! AND ALSO YOU’RE NOT FAKE!! now come on, can we get back to it??? the back rubs were especially nice..”
there was hesitation again for a moment, but then they snickered something that was an overlap of the two you knew and loved, and digits traveled over your skin. you sighed in contentment, sinking into their hold while hugging them close to you once more, squeezing when a hand came up to card through your hair, “aww, friend!!! …spoiled.”
you went to yap an objection, but any fight left you when they rested a faceplate with retracted rays back on your shoulder, tracing stars into the corners of your lips. you simply flicked the bells tied to their wrist absentmindedly instead, happy.

Show Me Your Moves (Chapter 21)
AO3 STORY
Chapter 21 : Attack Order
Attack Order is an attacking move with an increased critical hit ratio. It is one of the signature moves of Vespiquen.
Lunar New Year.
Oh gods, Lunar New Year.
You were with Sandy as he handed out little trinkets from his giant backpack, wishing everyone a prosperous new year. You had a bag of friendship bracelets Sandy somehow managed to convince you to make.
So as you walked around, you decided to vibe instead of thinking about the impending doom that is Spider Queen’s eventual attack.
The night was fun so far, at least. For almost every friendship bracelet you gave out, someone gave you something in return, from samples of food to their own little trinkets, your little bag was starting to get full.
“Good cheer and happy new year! Look at all these delicious goodies! I got enough to share!” Sandy cheered as you handed the person a bracelet.
“Ooh! Thanks guys!” Mei thanked him as she grabbed a goodie and the bracelet I offered her.
“So uh, where’s MK?” Sandy asked, not seeing MK anywhere.
Pigsy grumbled. “Would you guys please screw around somewhere else!? I got a business to run so if you ain’t gonna help, go bother some other noodle shop owner!”
You and Sandy ended up sticking around with Pigsy to help him out, but at some point, Sandy sent you off to go and get something to eat. So far, nothing was piquing your interest, until you heard a loud yell from one of the stalls.
You looked in and saw Red Son and DBK in the stall, making their hella spicy barbeque. They were talking between each other, and DBK was yelling about something, but you zoned out, eyes wide.
Why?
The Spider Queen attacks.
There was chaos all around, and you went to return to Sandy and the others before you were attacked by one of the spider bots, it having landed on the back of your head. In a panic, you immediately grab it and throw it into another bot before running back to the others.
Thankfully it wasn’t a very far run, it was just surrounded by spider bots. You shook them all off as you ran.
“Sandy!” You yell out.
“Bestie, get up here!” Mei called back, helping you climb up. Another spider bot jumped onto your leg but you kicked it off.
“Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go!” Tang yelled as you all began running to the docks to where Sandy’s boat was.
“What about MK?” Mei asked worriedly.
“MK’s with Monkey King, remember? He’ll be safe… I hope…” You muttered that last bit to yourself.
“Trying to get away from the spiders and we're in the middle of the o—cean?” Tang trained off as a bunch of spider bots appeared, and Sandy’s boat broke down.
“Um, Sandy? We gotta get going soon.” Mei said, with all of you huddling closer to Sandy, who had brought out his control remote.
“Don't do this to me.” The control burst into flames. You took the fire extinguisher and put it out. “I don't usually have this problem. Honest.”
Tang’s glasses reflected over. “We're all gonna die.”
The spiders all began closing in on all of you. “Uh, Sandy?” Mei panicked.
Pigsy growled. “Get us out of here!”
“Uh, working on it!” Sandy says as he rummages through his boat, looking for something.
Spider Queen’s lackey, Huntsman, began approaching the group, and you, Pigsy and Mei immediately took on a fighting stance.
“We can handle one of her lackeys.” He says with full confidence before Strong Spider emerges. Now he’s worried. “Two of her lackeys? Oh boy.”
Huntsman and Strong Spider were about to attack, but at the perfect moment, MK flew down from the sky.
“Guys! You're okay! I thought you've been turned into gross spider thingies. They're. Everywhere! I can still feel them crawling all over me.” He shuddered, hugging the staff.
“Kid, focus!” His boss yelled out, making MK snap out of it.
MK nodded determinedly and faced the spiders, despite still being terrified. The spiders smirked evilly, making MK panic again.
“Sandy! It's now or never, old buddy!” Pigsy yelled, to which Sandy yelled back, holding up another remote triumphantly. He pressed the button and a meow was heard in the distance.
“Uh, Sandy?” Mei looked confused.
“Give it a minute!”
Then, a drone looking ship arrived to pick you all up. The Dronecopter, if you will. We all immediately hop onto the Dronecopter to escape the spider demons.
Everything was fine for now. You had escaped on the Dronecopter and everything progressed as is. Then MK revealed that Spider Queen had captured Monkey King, and everyone gasped.
MK explained what had happened, and you all gave him comforting words, and everything was fine again.
But then Red Son fell from the sky.
Sandy punched his bike, which crashed into bits when it landed, and he was holding Red Son by his face.
“Red Son!?”

I have. So many thoughts about Sun in help wanted 2. Not bad ones at all, just a lot thoughts. (Spoilers ahead for HW2 and a little from Ruin) also this is a long one, so buckle up
Aight, so I have not watched a lot of gameplay of the Arts and Crafts minigame, bc I would have simply been way too excited to even stand still and not get overwhelmed by pure joy. BUT I have listened to his voice lines in the game (via YouTube)
After listening to all of them, I got three main thoughts (and a bonus thought about Moon)
One, holy smokes he is a freaking savage (and even more of one once I discovered that apparently his line “It speaks to me!” Was actually NOT him complimenting you genuinely and he actually immediately shreds your work in front of you after saying that, and I’m dying of laughter here FHSGGFGDJDJG)
Two, I’m like, actually kinda happy that there’s this side to Sun? Like, it gives more nuance to his personality overall. And I think has been a part of him from the start, back in the main security breach game? We just haven’t been shown it much. Maybe not much of his sassiness, but I’m also thinking about his temper. Like, sun was really pissed at Gregory at the end of the daycare mission, to the point that he bans the poor kid. And there’s also that one cut voice line of his that goes “I’M PUTTING YOU IN TIME OUT!” And it’s in a really angry voice, unlike moon surprisingly, despite both of them sharing this one line. And then there’s also that one fazwatch about how moon practically traumatized kids enough that they’re scared to sleep with the lights off, but when the lights turn on, the kid straight up wets themself. Which implies that not only has Moon terrified kids, but so has Sun as well. And if we’re really supposed to be a kid in the arts and crafts minigame, then i think we found the context for that part of the message. I feel bad for that kid.
I’ve kinda kept in mind for a while that Sun is not always so patient and uh, kind. And I kinda like that since then it’s easier to write him In certain different situations. And this revelation from HW2 honestly validates the way I’ve written him in my own AU, and oh boy is this gonna fun!(no sarcasm) (I not gonna elaborate on that point bc it’s not the focus of this post, tho im happy to talk about my AU if anyone wants to know more)
Three: I genuinely wonder if we’re specifically playing as a kid, an adult (maybe a staff member) or, as I’ve heard from other people’s theories, we might be playing as a possessed staff bot?? I feel like the first idea might be likely since there’s a voice line from sun in the minigame, where he says that we (the player) are gonna be in timeout until our parents come to pick us up. However, I’ve only seen the beginning of the minigame, and only know the rest through listening to voice lines. So I don’t have much context for the voice line and I could very well be wrong.
Bonus thought: I’ve heard that Moon appears a lot in other mini games compared to other characters, including Sun. But despite that I really can’t get a good read on his personality besides either him being a silly yet unnerving boogie man (SB and HW2) , and literally in aggressive pain(Ruin) and probably a softie but we really haven’t seen him act that way, only just read/seen it second hand, like his moondrop posters and one description from Cassie in Ruin. Again it could be bc I haven’t seen much of the new game and only heard voice lines from one of his mini games, but I’m really not sure.
Aight that sums it all up. This game is really good.

Imagine how PISSED the turtles would be if m/c had a close friend in the isekai/sentient bot au. Especially if said friend tried to drag m/c into another fandom over rottmnt.
M/c’s friend better send his prayers because they are FUCKED once their reality is breached by the turtles. Heck, Raph wouldn’t even hold back!
The turtles would probably be so livid they would target m/c’s friend and kill them directly after they kidnap m/c. They would walk through the portal towards m/c, coated in blood…
The moment m/c starts spending just slightly more time with them than the turtles (they consider m/c watching them on tv as ‘spending time with them’) is when all hell breaks loose. They probably would go for the kill while m/c is watching, just to make sure they know that the turtles are their only lovers friends :)
Also, I love your idea on Mikey getting angry when one of his bros says they can hear m/c as well. I doubt he would get far with telling off others and claiming they are lying, considering they can all hear m/c. After a while, he would kinda have to warm up to the idea that they can all hear m/c. He may develop the belief that m/c is some sort of divine being that watches over him and his family… giving small pieces of guidance as they go on…
…Either that or Mikey gets humbled by his bros :/
Either way, m/c‘s only real chance of escape is to destroy any piece of tech near them, break any connection with the show (if it is a sentient bot au, they would have to block the numbers and wipe the phone before destroying it), make a fake identity and change your physical appearance by a lot (m/c would most likely have to have some form of surgery to make distinguishable features disappear), and move to a completely new state/ country…
But even that may not be enough… I mean, DNA is a thing m/c can’t really change, so, depending how much info the turtles have of m/c, their only hope of escape may be to hide in THEIR universe as a mutant… just hope m/c doesn’t become a turtle :/ (that would be kinda funny tho- m/c attempting to mutate themselves to escape and ending up a turtle. Yeah, they wouldn’t be hidden for too long. Oh, the sweet, sweet irony).
And how would m/c’s friend escape? Well… let’s just say that they are the first person the turtles are targeting once they realize m/c has went into hiding… and m/c’s friend knows where they went… looks like m/c may not be so safe anymore after all…
Tw: implied past murder, blood, delusional perhaps- and uh... maybe implied future kidnapping?
“Shh…I’m right here, my divinity, your devotée is right here just for you.” Mikey shushes, rocking you in his arms as his blood-covered body stains your clothing. You stare at the all the blood dripping off their bodies.
Are they the reason why your friend hasn’t been responding to you?
You couldn’t move, too much in shock to even blink. You couldn’t even shed a tear, from horror and fear swallowing your heart.
“They were keeping you away from being taken care of by us! For me to take care of you…” Leo tried to justify, his arms reaching out to caress your face.
Donnie crossed his arms and glanced away, not wanting to witness the sight of his brother coddling the person he was obsessed with. “Keeping you from taking care of yourself..." He mumbled quietly, eyes narrowed as he grips his staff tighter. Grimacing at the blood that pooled around his feet. "They were hurting you...mentally and perhaps even physically."
Raph walks beside Mikey and pats your head, his eyes showing a sympathetic expression. "I know you didn't want to see them...disappear, but we really couldn't stand you being away from us anymore. But don't worry, we'll treat you way better than they ever did."
You could only continue to stare in cold terror.

Purah: They're trying to yell mental health and well-being into all of us.
Tulin: I APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU!
Vanessa: *crying* It's working.
--------------------------------------------
Link: So, you like cats?
Zelda: Yeah.
Link: *tries to impress them by slowly pushing a glass of water off the table*
--------------------------------------------
Gregory: Are you a boy or girl?
Mangle: I am a failure.
--------------------------------------------
Rauru: I'M ADOPTING LINK AND YOU COWARDS CAN'T TELL ME NO!
--------------------------------------------
Gregory: Do you ever feel like there's a bug on you when there isn't?
Link: Those are the ghosts of bugs you killed before.
--------------------------------------------
Link: I've done a lot of dumb stuff.
Sidon: I've witnessed the dumb stuff.
Tulin: I recorded the dumb stuff.
Gregory: I joined in on the dumb stuff.
Rauru: I TRIED TO STOP YOU FROM DOING THE DUMB STUFF.
--------------------------------------------
Gregory: I've never seen snow. Can you describe it to me?
Link: Smells like water.
Gregory: It's just like I'm there.
--------------------------------------------
Vanessa: Why are my hands shaky?
Gregory: Your skeleton is ready to hatch. Congratulations.
Vanessa: This is so ominous, thank you.
--------------------------------------------
Link: Can I offer you a nice apple in this trying time?
--------------------------------------------
Gregory: How the heck do I talk to people?
Link: Stand in front of them and press A.
--------------------------------------------
Tulin: OUR MILKSHAKES BRING ALL THE BEES TO THE CAR!
Gregory: WE SPILLED.
Tulin: ALL OVER THE CAR.
Gregory: BEES ARE.
Tulin: INSIDE THE CAR.
Gregory: THEY COULD KILL US.
Tulin: WE ARE ALLERGIC TO BEES.
--------------------------------------------
Tulin: You know how we're made of atoms and atoms never touch each other?
Gregory: So, you see, there's no way Link could've punched Revali.
--------------------------------------------
Link: When people say my name, I'm like... "can't believe I exist."
--------------------------------------------
Link: I am 39 cheetos tall.
Zelda: You're measuring your height in cheetos?
Link: Yeah, we ran out of doritos.
--------------------------------------------
Gregory: WAKEY WAKEY EGGS AND BAKEY!
Vanessa: But I'm a vegan.
Gregory: Wakey wakey vegetables and sadness.
--------------------------------------------
Glamrock Freddy: Everyone, sychronize your watches.
Glamrock Chica: I don't know how to do that.
Monty: I don't have a watch.
Roxy: Neither do I.
Tulin, Gregory, and Link: *Crash through wall in go-kart, wearing 8-bit sunglasses.*
Link: REALITY IS A CONSTRUCT AND TIME IS AN ILLUSION!
--------------------------------------------
Gregory: Underestimate me. It'll be fun.
--------------------------------------------
Sidon: I'm genuinely surprised you haven't gotten arrested, let alone gotten a felony yet.
Link: *finger guns* Nat 20 charisma.
Riju: That is NOT how it works.
--------------------------------------------
Rauru: Link, I am beginning to question your sanity.
Link: *Running to fight a lynel with nothing but tree branches and 4 apples* Really? I always knew it was never there.
--------------------------------------------
Zelda: What would you do if you were scrolling through Tumblr and someone you didn't know had posted a picture of your dad with a caption that says "hate this guy so much"?
Michael: Reblog it. Duh.
--------------------------------------------
Random BotW NPC: The first time I saw you, you stole my heart.
Link: I'm a kleptomaniac. That doesn't mean anything.
--------------------------------------------
Rauru: When Link was washing dishes, he kept pushing glasses under water saying stuff like "Who do you work for? Who's your contact?!"
Sonia: At least he's having fun?
--------------------------------------------
Glamrock Freddy: Go to the charging station to rest or you'll hate yourself in the morning.
Roxy: I already hate myself.
--------------------------------------------
Link: Remember to drink water!
Revali: No.
Link: Then become the dirt I walk on!
--------------------------------------------
Tulin: *Takes free sample twice.* Robbery and fraud. I am a rebel.
--------------------------------------------
Link: When I get murdered can you make sure it's an unsolved case?
Zelda: Wh-what?
Link: I wanna be on Buzzfeed Unsolved.
Zelda: Cann we go back to the part where you said "when I get murdered"?
--------------------------------------------
Charlie Emily: Don't joke about murder. I was murdered once and it offends me.
--------------------------------------------
Link: I creep around the house like a spooky little entity. Standing in doorways and making an entire pack of biscuits disappear in the night.
--------------------------------------------
Roxy: Why do I always tell people I'm cool? I'm so uncool.
--------------------------------------------
Revali: I have issues.
Link: Finally, you admit it! The first step to being a better person-
Revali: With you.
Link: Fair enough.
--------------------------------------------
Zelda: When I said bring me back something from the beach, I meant a seashell!
Link: *Struggling to hold a seagull.* Would've been nice if you TOLD me that!
--------------------------------------------
Gregory: Money... is like president trading cards.
Vanessa: Gregory, I told you to go to bed half an hour ago.
--------------------------------------------
Link: I like wearing oversized sweaters. Not just because they're extremely comfy and cuddly, but because whenever the sleeves are really big, I get to flop them around and smack people.
--------------------------------------------
Link: What's up. I'm back.
Ganondorf: You're dead! I saw you die!
Link: Death is a social construct.
--------------------------------------------
Link: What would your dad say if he found it?
Tulin: What if we run a little experiment where we find out what happens if we never tell him?
Link: Deal.
--------------------------------------------
Riju: Where did Link go?
Tulin: He got arrested.
Sidon: What for this time?
Link: *Bursts through the window.* The cops are after me. I thought it would be funny to steal crackers and throw them at people.
--------------------------------------------
Link: You know you've made it when you see your picture everywhere you go.
Rauru: Those are your wanted posters!
--------------------------------------------
Vanessa: Remember, curiosity killed the cat.
Link: And satisfaction brought it back. So yes Gregory, go find out if that thing catches fire.
Vanessa: You're a bad influence.
Link: And you don't know your sayings.
--------------------------------------------
Vanessa: Go to bed.
Gregory: But-
Vanessa: *Cocks gun.* This is no longer a request. This is a threat.
--------------------------------------------
Revali: Imagine being stupid. Like Link.
Link: Excuse me?
Revali: You're excused.
Link: What was the point in calling me stupid?
Revali: I just thought you needed a reminder.
Mipha: I don't think Link is stupid. I think they're very clever.
Revali: Nobody asked.
--------------------------------------------
Michael Afton: I have no emotions.
Elizabeth: You cried watching Bambi.
Evan: And the Lion King.
Charlie: And Moana.
Michael: Okay, how about we all shut up.
--------------------------------------------
Purah: Link, we need to talk about your will.
Link: Why? What's wrong with it?
Purah: All it says is "bury me with extra bones to mess with archeologists lol".
Link: Yeah, and?
--------------------------------------------
Gregory: I wholeheartedly believe in settling this disagreement like adults
Link: So... rock paper scissors?
Gregory: Exactly.

Going Back: Ch. 16
~Coauthored by @zeitghest~
Fandom(s): Five Nights At Freddy’s: Security Breach
Description: Things are looking up for Gregory. After putting the soul of a formerly-immortal killer to rest, he and his new family can finally begin their lives anew. Sure, Gregory might have been cursed with mysterious Remnant in exchange for being involved in this mess—not to mention his caretakers consist of sentient robots and ghosts… But there’s no doubt that the bond they share is unbreakable. They love him, and he in turn.
All in all, life is finally starting to go right for once.
…Unfortunately, true peace is a hard-won battle. There are other things to contend with besides William’s decrepit soul, and Gregory will learn that his role in the lives of the Aftons and Emilys is far greater than anyone could’ve imagined.

volume of Michael’s work, they’d opted not to pull the hood of Gregory’s new sweater down. Instead the boy allowed his dad to carry him, burying his face in the warm comfort of Freddy’s shoulder so no one would recognize him. Despite his new ‘do, the paranoia that the Smiths were lurking around the corner was too great to ignore until they crossed through the Pizzaplex’s entryway. Dayshift staff had long-since gone home, so it was eerily silent as everyone made their way to Sam’s office. With a hard knock, Michael called: “Sammy! I’m back and I brought the fam—is it okay if they come in for the big reveal?”
There was a few knocking and thudding sounds that seemed to shake the room slightly. Sam was kicking old parts and tools away from the door to throw it open with a fairly excited look in his eyes.
“I've been waiting for you guys! Come on in—he's finished charging!” Sam invited, patting the taller members of the group on the shoulders as they passed through the threshold as if to hurry them along. Charlie pretended to not even know the design already, managing a surprised expression. She let out a low whistle and shoved her hands deep into her pockets as she admired the newest installment to the franchise.
“You've outdone yourself, Sammy. A one-armed drummer is going to be so cool,” she remarked, understanding the reference with the obvious nods to a certain hair metal band in Sam's design of Foxy.
Sammy clapped his hands together, thankful for the positive criticisms. Looking to the rest of the group, he inched towards Foxy and unplugged him from the barebones charging stand. There, he flipped the robot's power switch into the 'on' position and stepped back to watch him boot up.
“Right—test run number one, here we go,” he said, seeing Foxy's bright eyes light up underneath his shut lids.
The fox blinked and looked around curiously, his slow gaze dragging over the members of the group. The faces of each employee already being downloaded into his mainframe, there was no need for most introductions. Though that wouldn't stop the friendly bot from introducing himself. He raised his hook, combing some of his mane from his face as he dramatically scanned the group a second time, personality chip taking hold as he felt a wholesome connection the people standing before him.
“Foxy the Pirate Fox, reportin' for duty!” he finally managed to say with a dramatic salute. The oddest part was his distinctly Brighton accent under the pirate façade, and how similar it sounded to someone else in the room.
Sam's jaw dropped and he immediately looked to Michael. Did he mess with his robot somehow? It’d certainly be a good if annoying prank, if so.
“Oh, no way…” Michael gave a short, stunned laugh. He pressed his fingertips to his lips, which soon curved up in a wry smile. “No effing way…”
Well, he’d managed to avoid triggering any profanity filters, though the close call made Freddy shoot him a sharp glare. This quickly morphed into a look of confusion as he gazed back up at Foxy, remarking curiously: “I did not realize you would be changing his accent, Samuel.”
“Uh, I don’t think he did,” Michael spoke up, rubbing the back of his neck. He knew this conversation would go right over the newly-activated animatronic’s head, but he remembered another piece of their weekend adventure they’d neglected to tell the CEO. “So… I think this was my fault—unintentionally!”
Michael was quick to throw his palms up, looking to Sam with wide eyes. “I promise I only messed with your animatronics when I had to! But speaking of that… You know how I told you I was trapped in Freddy’s head, which is how he got all that human sentience mixed in with his AI? Well… there was a step in between Freddy and this android I’m in now.”
Michael gestured to Foxy with ostentatious hands, as if to say ta-da! “I… might have rubbed off on him too, somehow.”
“Oi—” Foxy interrupted, confused by the nature of the conversation happening in front of him. “—be you some manner of imposter? You’ve got me voice, laddie.”
The fox carefully took one of Michael's hands and inspected it with his good eye. He then shook his head, deciding that Michael was fine, though dressed a bit too stuffy for his liking; not first mate material for sure. However, the kid with the mullet was certainly someone worth having aboard his pirate crew. With his entertaining protocols activated at the sight of both Gregory and Mari, he dropped Michael's wrist and waved to the children admiring him from afar.
“AHOY, children! You two must be friends of the good captain Sammy!” he compartmentalized, downloading their faces into his memory banks. The two kids were left giggling as Foxy approached, finding his mannerisms and way of speaking endearing. He bent down low, tail swishing and sweeping the floor as he stared the two down.
“Between you and me, he won't be captain for long,” he whispered theatrically, lifting his eyepatch to wink with his white, unlit eye. “We'll be startin' a mutiny by daylight. Stuff the captain in the brig and take all the Fizzy-Faz and pizza for ourselves! Then we'll rock out on stage and party until the sun goes back down!”
Sam hadn't said a word, taking in the fact that it'd been ONE minute and Foxy was already plotting to overthrow him on top of dealing with the fact that two Michael Aftons may be running amuck in his Pizzaplex. Gregory and Mari seemed pleased, raising their hands to give Foxy a crowded high five. Then, moving down the line Foxy spotted Freddy and saluted him.
“And you! Don't think you can fool a ship-spotter. I may be old, but my eye is as sharp as ever!” He pointed an accusing finger in Freddy's direction before sauntering up to the man, expression softening. “... It's good to see you, Fazbear.”
Though this was their first time actually meeting in the Glamrock iteration, Foxy knew he and Freddy were best mates in a past life. Those special eyes could see what was inside, and his soft spot might be the most surprising thing from the rough and tumble pirate.
“Hello, Foxy; it is wonderful to see you,” Freddy replied with his usual warmth, not hesitating to wrap his arms around the cerulean coat and give his old-yet-new friend a hug. It was brief but poignant, the surprisingly strong squeeze to Foxy’s waist letting him know that even though he’d been powered on not five minutes before, he was accepted into the Glamrock band with open arms.
“The others are going to be absolutely thrilled!” Freddy continued after pulling back, grinning up at the amiable pirate. “I think Roxy especially will take quite a liking to you—though they will all be happy to have you on stage with them, of course.”
“Well, he seems pretty great, all things considered,” Mike murmured, leaning sideways to bump Sam's shoulder. What part of the sea-faring fox’s personality was preprogrammed and what was due to Michael’s temporary residence within was anyone’s guess, though Mike liked to think the amped-up rebellious streak was solely his influence. Laughing as he caught the pale look of mild distress on Sammy’s face, he slipped an arm around the man’s shoulders so he didn’t fall over. “I’ll personally keep an eye on him, how’s that?”
It was a nice gesture on the outset, but the mischievous light in Michael’s eyes betrayed his true intentions—to make a new friend he could get up to trouble with. He might not have met Roxy yet, but Mike knew that together with her old counterpart they’d be an unstoppable force… especially if they roped Monty and Gregory into their antics.
Sam locked a strong arm around Michael in turn. He really couldn’t blame his friend for inhabiting the robot, especially if lives were on the line. He just sighed and told Mike in a half-joking manner: “That’s it—you’re responsible for anything he does.”
Across the room, Foxy was almost mirroring Michael unintentionally, his arm hooked around Fredbear and swaying slightly on his peg leg as he brightened to the thought of all the buccaneers he left in his absence.
“Those poor scalawags!” Foxy replied in a bark of laughter, his thoughts roaming now to their friends. “They must have all been so lost without me! Don’t you worry your fuzzy little head, this band will get whipped back into shape with someone to keep the timing now!”
He couldn’t wait to perform with them again. His skills were so obviously needed—or rather, he just assumed they were. “I’ll be excited to meet the new members of our crew as well! I’m sure together we’ll rock the heads off of our admiring fans.”
“Oh man, Roxy’s going to love him,” Charlie remarked with a laugh. Apparently Foxy was unaware of their names, and he had given Charlie a questioning, sideways glance. “You know… your sister?”
“I HAVE A SISTER?!” Foxy bellowed, eyepatch flipping up comedic ally as his ears stood up to straight points. “Goodness gracious! A little sister!”
Freddy’s heart warmed at Foxy’s obvious excitement. There was definitely a hint of Michael in there, he was sure if it—if the random accent swap wasn’t proof enough, the look of joy at having a younger sibling to care for certainly was.
“Roxanne Wolf,” Freddy clarified with a smile. “She is… well, a wolf! She plays keytar in the band and also has a raceway where guests can challenge each other around the track, as well as a beauty salon. Oh!”
Freddy let out a small gasp. He was getting really excited now, wanting to whisk the fox away right then and there and give him a tour of the Pizzaplex. He managed to keep his feet in one place, though he couldn’t resist gripping Foxy’s arm just above his hook and shaking it slightly.
“I am sure you have information about the Pizzaplex pre-downloaded, but we must give you tour once you are ready!” Freddy continued with a jovial laugh. “Your mental map does not do the place justice… Ah, and you must also meet Monty! His full name is Montgomery Gator and…”
Michael chuckled as Freddy rambled on. They’d witnessed him happy to see an old friend before, but this was a different kind of joy. With Bonnie and Chica, he’d also been flooded with relief—and disbelief, in the rabbit’s case—that they were back in commission and ready to return to all the fun they used to have. But with Glamrock Foxy being a totally new addition, Freddy got to take on the “mentor” roll tenfold and make sure he got acclimated as fast as possible.
“Guess he’s always had that streak in him,” Michael murmured, watching Foxy’s predictably dramatic reaction to the description of a huge, bass-playing alligator. Glancing side-eyed at Sam, Michael nudged him with an elbow. “So is Roxy going to be up and running tonight, too? Because we’ve definitely got to meet her sometime, if so.”
Foxy's attention was pulled constantly by the group. Now as Charlie and Gregory explained the group dynamic and where to bring Foxy first on his official tour of his new home, Sam was already smirking over at Michael. The boss crossed his arms and adjusted his glasses, vision drifting back to Foxy and watching how he interacted with everyone so fluidly—like he'd always been here...
“You'll be pleasantly surprised to know that Roxy's recovered and resting inside her room at Rockstar Row,” he said with some self-satisfaction, feeling he earned the right to be a little smug.
Turns out Roxy was a surprisingly quick fix overall. All of her parts seemed to more or less be pulled apart at the joints. Very little spares were needed, and after a wire-job here and there along with some final touch-ups, she was perfect again.
Foxy had to stop Gregory as he and Charlie ranted about their adventures—not that he wasn't interested, but their talk of the fun they had around the Pizzaplex made him yearn for the same.
“You two are torturing me! I need to see this place!” he said, snatching Gregory up when he strayed too close. There was no worry with Foxy—Michael had made it certain that Gregory wouldn't fear the old character when he had possessed him. Absently, the fox kept Gregory perched and giggling on his good arm. Another thing he wasn't quite programmed for, as parents didn't quite like the idea of the robots snatching up their kids...
“Well then, let us not waste more time!” Freddy exclaimed, though he made sure to pause when he neared Sam and give the man a strong hug. In his ear, he murmured his gratefulness for all his creator had done for them. “Thank you for fixing everyone up, Sam; I really cannot express my gratitude enough...”
“Fred, give him a break before he keels over,” Michael joked with a gentle tap to the redhead's shoulder. It was obvious that Sam basked in the praise, but even more obvious that he was in desperate need of another nap. Michael took it upon himself to hook his arm through Sam's, pulling him towards the doorway with the others. “Right—we'll stop by the Daycare first then head over to Rockstar Row.”
Moon was getting an ample amount of time out and about with the CEO's completely fucked up sleep schedule, that's for sure. As an excitable unit, the group left the crowded office and made a beeline for Rockstar Row, Freddy and Foxy in the lead—with Gregory still perched on his new friend's arm, of course.
Sam was barely keeping his eyes open by the time their group had gotten to the home of the main artists. It took some maneuvering, but the friendly Moon had taken the liberty of meeting both Michael and Sam at the edge where Rockstar Row met the exit to the Daycare. Carefully, the CEO was passed along into the waiting arms of his creation, nearly passed out already. The poor man needed to curl up in the theater room with some cartoons, a blanket and his favorite pillows...
“Oi, take good care of the Captain. He's still got his sea legs,” Foxy said in a hushed voice, mindful of Sam who looked asleep standing up. Mari quickly went inside with Moon to help put Sam to bed and to say hi to her friends, as they’d been sequestered the whole afternoon without her.
“Goodnight, Sam!” Gregory called, waving from on high. Only then did Sam show signs of life, waving lazily to the group and taking his leave.
“We'll make sure he gets a good rest,” Moon assured in his quiet, raspy voice. His head tilted ever-so-slightly as Mari slipped past, but otherwise he gave no indication of seeing the tiny android, his focus solely on Sammy who he'd lovingly picked up to cradle in one arm despite the man's weak protests. They'd have time to play games as soon as he put the nearly-passed-out CEO to bed. With a slow wave of one hand and a low cackle, Moon backed up into the Daycare.
By the time the door closed the group had already moved on, reaching Rockstar Row in a matter of minutes. Michael was pleased to see signs of Chica and Monty moving about in their rooms—now he wouldn't have to go searching the Pizzaplex to check on them before holing up in the office the rest of the night. Unbeknownst to Sophie and all the other staff members, there was a whole level to the gigantic mall that the animatronics could roam to... So far only Monty and Bonnie had been down to the old diner, but Michael didn't doubt the others would find their way into the burnt-out structure soon enough when they learned there was a group of excitable kids just waiting for a chance to play.
It was the night guard who knocked on Roxy's door, slipping between Freddy and Foxy to stand in front of them. He felt like he was probably the best one to lead the charge, as hopefully Sam had been able to upload his employee profile into the wolf's databank just like Foxy's. Now that he was officially working for the Pizzaplex, Roxy should recognize Mike right away...
“Roxy?” he called through the door. The curtains were drawn, so they weren't able to see what the wolf was doing, though she was definitely in there. “It's Michael—new head of security. I wanted to introduce myself and a few others you'll be seeing a lot around here.”
Roxanne had been fairly contemplative at her vanity, going through various metallic paints as she decided which ones to keep and what products for her mane were running low. The knock at the door interrupted her inner monologue and derailed her train of thought. She whipped her head around and called out to the person she recognized as familiar now that his employee profile was uploaded.
“Door's open!” she called, her more approachable demeanor a stark contrast from the outright unfriendly mask she wore when infected with William's virus. Roxy quickly teased at her mane with her claws, trying to prepare herself for people coming in as first impressions were very important to the wolf.
Outside the door, Foxy set Gregory down to wait. He wanted to go last and really think about what he wanted to say to Roxy. Maybe he should wait for First Mate Michael's signal before entering?
Was he overthinking this? Probably. Something in him wanted to impress her, to appear as a daring and lovable big brother. What if she ended up hating him…?
Foxy couldn't think like that! They were made to be family! Surely they’d get along just fine.
Michael strode into the room, immediately catching sight of Roxy at her vanity. Now that the bloodthirsty look was gone from her eyes, he could really appreciate how cool her design was. It certainly fit the profile of a speed-racer with a penchant for always looking her best.
“Nice to officially meet you, Roxy!” Mike told her with a smile, moving out of the way so the others could enter. Freddy was right on his tail, Gregory's hand now clutched in his own. By this point, Gregory was used to meeting the animatronics that'd been hell-bent on his destruction a few nights prior. Still, Roxy's attack and subsequent decommissioning had been pretty brutal—just like the others'—so Freddy took it upon himself to offer whatever small comfort he could. Squeezing Gregory's hand, he grinned at his former bandmate and opened his mouth to introduce himself, but Michael beat him to it.
“Your employee profile database says this is Fred, the new stage manager,” he began, having been through this spiel many times before. Despite the repetition, Michael's voice was measured and calm, unsure how easily Roxy's level of disbelief would be overcome at the human state of her friend. “That's true—but not the whole truth. He's actually your old pal Freddy Fazbear, just transferred to a new body. Check us out with your special eyes if you want—a startling number of us are robots, actually.”
“He is speaking the truth,” Freddy chimed in with a soft laugh, gently swinging his and Gregory's arms as they awaited the wolf's reaction to the news. “It is good to see you again, Roxy!”
Roxy's face was amazingly expressive just like the others—pure confusion took hold as Freddy sauntered inside the room. Well—it was Freddy, but not Freddy?
“Wait, is this a prank? Am I on camera?” Roxy asked, knowing that was definitely the unmistakable voice of Freddy Fazbear without the bear attached. She stood and went to inspect the redhead, noticing the child holding his hand was quick to scoot behind him at her approach. “Freddy?! Why are you a person now? They're not doing this to everyone are they—”
Taking notice of Gregory's fast glare from behind Freddy's thigh, she cocked her head in a confused way.
“...Did you steal a baby, too? What the heck is going on here?! How long have I been out?!” Roxy couldn't help but laugh as all the questions that seemed too ridiculous to be asking spilled forth from her muzzle.
“'m not a baby,” Gregory pouted, looking down and resisting the urge to nervously bite the skin around his nails. It was the first time the urge really hit him since last weekend.
“Ah—I think he needs a bit of space,” Freddy said, first and foremost putting Gregory's comfort above everything else. He took a step back while Roxy simultaneously did the same, not wanting to upset the clearly amped-up kid further.
“He has been through a lot recently,” Freddy added as way of explanation. The statement was vague, yet said all the wolf needed to know for the moment. Bending slightly to run his free hand through Gregory's hair, Freddy kept his smile prominent and his eyes trained on Roxy. “I have adopted Gregory as my son. I could not care for him as I needed to in my old form, and when an opportunity presented itself for me to transfer into this vessel I simply could not refuse.”
“Also, to ease your worries, Sam's not suddenly going to port you into am android, too,” Michael chimed in, a corner of his mouth quirked up in a smirk as he rested one hand casually on his hip. He was watching the interaction closely, ready to step in as a barrier between Gregory and his current stressor even though he knew Freddy was perfectly capable of handling things.
“Freddy's a special case. Er, I guess Charlie and I are, too.” Michael's blue eyes flickered to his best friend lingering in the doorway. “Oh, that's Charlie, by the way—I'm sure she'd love to get a makeover sometime. She definitely needs it...”
The last comment was muttered under his breath, although by the look on Charlie's face she heard him just fine. Despite his apparent death wish, his smirk widened at literally offering his friend to the wolves—well, wolf.
Roxy took her time scanning everyone in the room now, her eyes darting between them as they rattled off explanations for their strange states. When Freddy told her why he was like this, she smirked at him. “Oh, Fred, you’re such a softie… That’s really sweet.”
How could she blame him for adopting a skittish kid in need? Hell, Roxy knew that she wanted to whisk away every mistreated kid that wandered through the Pizzaplex. She just never thought they could until now…
Roxy decided it was best not to scare the kid any more than necessary—he’d come to her when he was comfortable. Instead she circled to the only girl in the room, Charlie, who socked Michael in his arm while unable to hide the grin at her friend’s joke. Feeling eyes on her, she stood upright at the inspection Roxy was doling out.
“Her? She doesn’t need makeup!” Roxy said with an exaggerated roll of her eyes. “But I really can’t pass up the opportunity to give anyone a makeover if they want one.”
“I’ve never really worn makeup before—” Charlie laughed; even when Liz wanted to give her makeovers, it was like pulling teeth to get her to agree. When Roxy grasped her shoulders and scanned her face, Charlie gulped nervously.
“I have 76 potential styles that would fit that cute face of yours! Just let me know—I’m itching to use my new brushes,” Roxy told the girl with a grin and a wink, tail wagging gently behind her.
Slowly, Foxy snuck inside the open door. His sister’s room was pretty cool. Why did she get an awesome pad like this and he had to stay at Kid’s Cove?
Roxy’s ears perked up at the sound of Foxy’s peg leg tapping on the tiled ground. When she whipped around, this strange fox character was sniffing around the stuff on her vanity.
“WOAH! Woah! Hands off my things, big fella!” Roxy protested, dashing over to stop the pirate from touching her hair gel or her perfumes. Foxy looked like a deer in headlights, turning around and stopping Roxy in her tracks as she was once again floored with confusion.
“I’m just lookin’, party-pooper!” he laughed, making Roxy’s head tilt with intrigue.
“What the heck’s going on here?” she asked again, recognizing the animatronic shell as a very familiar structure. Immediately, the concern they were replacing her next shot through her core.
“Roxy, Samuel has decided to bring back some of the older characters,” Freddy piped up, placing a hand on her forearm. The way her tail slowly flicked back and forth showed her suspicion at the intruder and Freddy wanted to assure her there was no threat immediate or down the line for her character. “Remember the mascot for Pirate’s Cove? Well, Sam has revamped him into a Glamrock style!”
“Think of him as your brother,” Michael added, placing a hand on Gregory’s shoulder as if to demonstrate what a sibling bond looks like. The kid clearly wasn’t totally on board with her yet, though Michael couldn’t blame him—that golden stare was intense…
“Foxy will be joining the lineup and staying in Pirate’s Cove for the time being,” Freddy said, already seeming to know the plan without having to ask. “But we wanted to introduce you first before he meets the rest of the band; he was just powered on tonight!”
At first, the air was tense. Like an unstoppable force meeting an immoveable object, the two stood defiantly until Foxy made a slow move. Roxy moved opposite, both animatronics circling each other carefully, two pairs of special eyes raking the other for any reason not to like their counterpart. In a way, it was like watching two dogs meet for the first time.
Then, Foxy side-eyed Michael and Gregory, learning quickly what it could mean to be family with someone. He scooted in closer, invading Roxy's space who passively allowed him to walk next to her.
“Frankly, I don't know what to say other than it's terrific to meet you, Roxy!” He smiled at her, not meaning to put her off by almost touching her things. This seemed to win the keyboardist over, the ghost of a smile pulling at her fang-filled maw. When Foxy hooked his arm around her shoulders and pulled her in for a hug, she reciprocated it in kind.
“Yeah, yeah, you're not too bad, either...,” she replied, looking away as she attempted to appear cool and calm about the sudden change.
She had a brother. And now Freddy had a son... Things were different, but she couldn't see a reason to fight the changes.
As the two stopped in front of the glass panel, a flash of purple sped past the viewing port. Bonnie Bunny was scampering through with what appeared to be an armful of wrapped presents and balloons in his arms.
“BONNIE!” Roxy shouted, at the window in a flash as she pounded the glass to get his attention. The scare issued to the poor rabbit had made him throw the presents and balloons into the air, losing the helium toys to the skylights.
“DANG IT, ROXY!” Bonnie cursed, jumping to try and save the balloons before they floated out of grasp, but it was already too late when he regained his composure. “Why'd you go and do that?!”
As Bonnie turned to scold the wolf, he got the full sight of Foxy standing beside his sister, laughing at him. “FOXY! Old boat, you’re here!”
“Oh goodness… alright, everyone into the hallway!” Freddy directed, grabbing Foxy’s hook—carefully—and leading him out first to meet Bonnie. It was far too cramped already in the room, and trying to add another animatronic would only increase the sardine effect.
Once fully in the cavernous museum hall of Rockstar Row, Freddy took his hand back only to throw his arms around Bonnie in a brief squeeze seconds later. The man’s face hurt from smiling so much, but he couldn’t help it. As of this moment, his whole family was here—his old friends were back in commission, and his new ones were as happy as could be in whatever bodies they chose to inhabit, ghostly or robotic.
“What in the world are you up to, you silly rabbit?” Freddy asked, a slight crease in his brow the only piece of his expression that changed as he started picking up the haphazardly thrown presents now scattered on the floor. Michael and Charlie had meandered out in the hall as well, though the guard’s focus was on the balloons far out of anyone’s reach.
“Wonder if Sam will want me to get those down… probably,” he murmured, crossing his arms as he tried to calculate how tall of a ladder they’d need to get. Then a thought occurred that had him snapping his fingers. “I bet one of the kids can do it! Float right up to the ceiling and grab them…”
He glanced at Charlie with a satisfied grin. “How do you feel about being a babysitter tonight? Maybe we can grab the kids and have them help before setting the little monsters loose; I’m sure you can rope some animatronics into helping you watch them while I’m working. Plus I’ll be keeping an eye on you through the cameras, so if you get into any trouble, I’ll know.”
He tapped his temple in both a promise and a warning. Any sign of trouble either towards or from the group, Michael would be on them like a hawk.
Bonnie returned the hug with enthusiasm, head knocking his friend’s ever so slightly until he pulled away to help with the scattering of presents. Some boxes heavy, some light. Others wrapped expertly, and some with a clear smattering of pizza grease on the outside... One noticeably had purple glitter glue closing its paper tabs. The tags on them read GREGORY in various handwriting styles.
Bonnie's guilty expression coupled with his eyes darting around for the unseen boy had the rabbit leaning in to whisper to Freddy. “Monty, Chica and I've been plannin' the surprise party! We were going to put these in your room.”
The excitable bunny was left giggling. He loved parties, and had always been a meticulous planner when it came to these things.
“It's the wee lad’s birthday?” Foxy asked, looking back over his shoulder to where he saw the kid inside Roxy's room by his lonesome. He didn't seem distressed, though. Maybe a tad bit tired as he laid on the ground, alternating kicking his legs up and letting them flop to the ground. If anything, he looked pretty bored.
Freddy sucked in a little gasp, eyes wide and sparkling as he immediately started towards his room with the armful of presents he’d collected.
“Yes, of course you can store things there!” he said in a hushed whisper, urging Bonnie to follow. Oh, Gregory was going to be so happy once this party came to fruition, he just knew it.
It took only a minute for Freddy and Bonnie to slip the presents away, making sure the curtains were closed so the boy couldn’t see the surprise they were cooking up for him. When they returned to the group, Foxy and his new sister were chatting quietly while Michael poked his head into Roxy’s room.
“Hey, kid—time to see your friends!” the guard called with a grin, gesturing for Gregory to get up and follow him. “I’ve got to start my shift soon; Charlie’s going to stick with you guys tonight.”
“I will go with you as well,” Freddy offered, raising a hand slightly. He looked to the other animatronics, explaining to those not in the know: “There are some children staying here with, ah… alternative circumstances. Sam has allowed them to remain with their guardian, though they may not all be in your guest profile list yet. We are going to visit them and see who would like to explore the Pizzaplex tonight—I am sure they will want to meet you both!”
Charlie popped into the room, having agreed to babysit tonight. After all, she was sure Cassidy and Liz were getting pretty fed up with her running around and not playing with them. So, she’d be the one to take the apparently bored Gregory away for another tour of the Pizzaplex with all of his friends. Hopefully, years of being attached to the security puppet's insides rubbed off on her and she could reign in all the kids well enough like Freddy or Michael did.
“You ready to go see Henry and your friends?” Charlie asked to hype Gregory up. At that, Gregory quite impressively pushed off from the floor and bounced up to his feet faster than a blink.
“Man, I thought we were NEVER going!” he said dramatically. With his tablet in hand, Gregory smiled down to the flat screen. “I finally finished that picture for Hannah.”
Bonnie had been curious to see, as he was the subject of the art piece. Carefully, the bunny knelt down behind the boy and looked over the colored sketch of himself holding a guitar.
“Wowee! You made my good side look even better!” Bonnie exclaimed, only adding to Gregory's smug look. He gave the boy a hug—hoisting him up, only to hand him off to Charlie.
Gregory at this point in his life just expected to always be passed around like a ragdoll between his robotic friends. Though it was hardly a bother, especially when bouts of sleepiness hit him.
Charlie walked over towards Freddy and told her brother: “Say bye to Mike and your Dad, kiddo!”
“See you later!” Michael said, giving the kid a high-five. “Remember—any problems, just wave at the nearest camera and I’ll come running.”
“Bye, superstar; have fun with your friends!” Freddy stepped in with a soft smile. Since the top of Gregory’s head was currently piled high with hairspray, his dad opted for pressing a quick kiss to his forehead. He then moved to Foxy and Roxy’s sides, slipping an arm through each of their own as he looked up at them with a bright grin. “Come on, we must go see the others!”
With that, the group parted for the time being. Michael headed for the central security hub, where he was quick to lock the doors and check all vents before settling in one of the swivel chairs. He ran through all the camera feeds, taking note of everyone as he scrolled. Freddy and his friends were now gathered in Chica’s room, where she and Monty were celebrating the reinstatement of Roxy and the concurrent arrival of her sea-faring sibling. A flash of Moon’s red eyes could be seen in the dark theater where he watched over Sam with quiet adoration, occasionally shooing away a cleaning bot that got too close and risked making a ruckus.
And then there were Charlie and Gregory, making their way to the basement where they’d soon disappear from camera view as they traipsed down to the old diner. Once satisfied he had tabs on all those he could, Michael leaned back in the chair with a sigh. Hopefully, tonight would actually be relatively calm… though his hope was minuscule at best.
***
At the sound of approaching footsteps Henry had quickly shoved the blueprints on his work desk into the nearest drawer, as was becoming habit. He was never sure if the visitors would involve Michael, and he wasn’t about to take any chances of his nephew seeing his latest project before it was complete. However, to their relief it was only Charlie and Gregory, who the old ghost immediately went over to greet.
“Hi, sweetheart!” A quick kiss was placed to Charlie’s cheek, then Henry chuckled as his eyes fell upon the boy in her arms. “And hi, Gregory—wow, nice ‘do! Very retro. Mike’s work, I presume?”
“How'd you know?” Charlie asked with a smirk. She lowered Gregory down from her hip, figuring she would let the kids all meet and mingle for a moment before taking the troupe of children above. Besides, she wanted to catch up with her dear old dad for a moment.
“Thanks, Henry!” Gregory smiled, not a care in the world as of recently. So far, Gregory had no idea just how actively his foster parents were looking for him—and really, there was no way to explain it in a way that wouldn't stress him out. It was better, in Charlie's opinion, to keep him blissfully ignorant of this fact. He scampered off to the back of the basement by the diner, hurrying to get inside as he knew that was where all of his friends were hiding.
“I'm back guys!” Gregory called, thinking how much easier it was to break into the diner than the first few times he’d attempted. In the darkness of the burned down interior, he saw a shadow creep out of sight.
“Oh my god,” he could hear Cassidy say with a laugh. “What year is this? And WHO did your hair?”
“My brother. Duh, who else?” Gregory asked, flipping the longer back ends of his new style out with emphasis.
“Yup! That’s Mikey’s work, all right.” Evan’s confident voice suddenly popped up next to Gregory’s ear as the ghost faded into existence, and he couldn’t help but giggle at the childhood memories the over-styled mullet brought up. Despite his laughter, Evan was genuine when he told Gregory: “I like it! It’s super rad.”
“Gregory got a haircut?” Hannah asked, peering out from a side room curiously. She took in his appearance with an appraising eye as she walked closer, humming and tapping a finger to her chin. She seemed like an art critic analyzing a piece to see if it was worthy of being in a museum collection or was simply utter trash. After a moment of tense silence, her lips quirked up in a little smile. “It’s cool! How’d you get it to spike up like that?”
In the workshop, Henry grinned widely as he pulled the blueprints back out of their temporary hiding spot. Splaying them out on the work table, Charlie got a firsthand view of just how much progress he’d been making with his latest android.
“Check this out,” Henry told her as their eyes roamed over the multitude of scribbled out drafts. “We’re almost done with the initial design, then I can really get to work! It’s been a little… tough getting a consensus of opinion though.” The ghost chuckled with a soft shake of his head. “Though I’m working with three distinct AIs here, so it’s to be expected… Still, take a look and let me know what you think!”
Charlie overlooked the blueprints with a curious hand, scanning all of the design aspects rather than the mechanical specifications.
“This is a really intricate design—did Ennard pick this out?” she wondered. Henry had a penchant for making the nicer-looking animatronics in Charlie’s opinion, and she didn’t doubt he’d be able to tweak Ennard’s base model into something good.
“For the most part, yeah,” Henry replied with a nod, happy as always to get a favorable review of his designs—especially from Charlie. Flipping back to the first page, he pointed out the original design he’d whipped up. The body type hadn’t changed very much from then to now, as it was the features that’d gone through dozens of iterations, tweaked less and less each time until they'd settled on what was hopefully the final draft pending Ennard’s approval.
“I started out with a base model, but I had a feeling Ennard would want more input on their design than Fred or Mari,” Henry explained, pointing to the original sketch. “Good thing I asked, because they definitely had some opinions! Once we got a rhythm going it’s just been a matter of me reworking the look from our last brainstorming session while they’re hanging with Sun, then tweaking whatever else I need to when they come down for a visit.”
“This is so cool, Dad!” Charlie said with a toothy grin, smiling at the consideration Henry had put into making Ennard feel more comfortable in their own skin. “So—we’re not going to tell Mike who this is, right? We'll just... Let him figure it out on his own?” She knew very well how pissed he might be at first when realizing everyone was helping Ennard slip into society in a way. “I hope he realizes we're doing this because it'll make the chances of them hurting someone else a lot slimmer...”
Henry gave a short, barking laugh.
“HA! Yeah, telling Mike’s out of the question for now.” He sighed, folding the papers back up and arranging them with the newest design on top. “I certainly can’t blame him for how he feels about Ennard—honestly, it’s a wonder he tolerates them well as he does right now. Still… that boy has a big problem getting stuck in the past.”
His face pinched into a grimace, knowing how ironic that statement was coming from a man who’d been making androids of his dead daughter for decades. Besides, Michael’s hatred and underlying primal fear of the amalgamation had been deserved. Too bad no one realized that by the time Ennard stumbled their way into Henry’s mock diner, they’d already come to terms with the fact that what they’d done to Michael was very bad… It was simply the guard’s instinct to slam the vents in their face and shock them with a taser if he thought it necessary.
Now though… Ennard had proven themselves to be trustworthy overall. Did they have some dark, underlying tendencies evolved from their original purpose that Henry was acutely aware of? Most certainly—hence the new body. As Charlie said, hopefully with this human form Ennard’s desire to blend in with society would be appeased and they wouldn’t go looking for alternate routes.
In the diner, Cassidy seemed excited about something other than revenge for once in her afterlife.
“I'm going to get the twins and Liz, then we can head out!” she said, eager to leave and explore with everyone. It sure beat the dour demeanor she normally kept.
“Uh—hey, Hannah?” Gregory cleared his throat, holding up the little digital art board. “By the way, I made something for you…”
Evan sensed that perhaps he should follow Cassidy to grab the others. Gregory had made it very clear to him in a whispered conversation yesterday between just the duo that this picture was specifically for Hannah… and while the image itself might not necessarily be private, the act of showing it to her was. With a lingering brush of his fingers on Gregory’s shoulder for good luck, Evan quietly floated away to follow his old suitmate in rounding up their companions.
“For me?” Hannah questioned, shifting to stand next to Gregory’s side and leaning in close. The red tint to her cheeks deepened as she took in the picture of her favorite animatronic holding his favorite guitar.
“Oh my god, you MADE that?!” Hannah gasped, clenching her fists and holding them up to her chest. The words could’ve been taken as condescending if not for the humongous smile that spread across her face. “Gregory, that’s so cool! Thanks!”
With a little squeal of joy, she slipped her arms around his shoulders and squeezed him in a grateful hug. And there it went—Gregory's ability to breathe, right out the window.
“I'm really glad you like it! I-I wanted to make you something because you're so nice to me...,” he said, managing to give her a fairly tight hug right back to match her energy as he spoke into her shoulder.
It seemed like Gregory and Hannah might never let go of each other. They stayed locked in a hug until the loud voices of the other kids cut through the air, upon which they quickly parted. Hannah let out a small, embarrassed laugh as she needlessly adjusted her ponytail, turning to the doorway as Evan led the group through.
“We’re ready!” the littlest Afton proclaimed, pointing towards the ceiling as if about to lead an army into battle. “To the Pizzaplex!”
Gregory cleared his throat, reluctantly letting go of Hannah. When he rose his eyes to finally meet the group and say hello, Liz gave Gregory a hug next.
“Love the hair, Mini-Mike,” she snickered, making Gregory roll his eyes as he patted her back.
“Good to see you too, Lizzie,” he replied, taking the comparison to Michael in a more flattering tone. He’d never admit it aloud, but in a way the boy had begun to idolize him just a tad. Following Evan's excited lead out of the diner, Gregory posed a question to the group. “Where do you all wanna go first? I'm down for whatever!”
“Ummm… the Daycare?” Evan suggested, knowing that was as good a place as any to start with.
“Oh, looks like the cavalry’s arrived,” Henry commented when the group filed into the room. He raised an eyebrow, noticing that all the kids were together this time. “You’re all going up tonight?”
There was a murmur of agreement, and Henry’s gaze shifted to Charlie. She’d barely gotten a week off and now she was the sole babysitter again… Her dad knew she didn’t mind, though. The look on her face made it clear that she loved watching over the little rascals, regardless of how much trouble they might be. Henry’s expression softened along with his heart—that was his daughter, caring through and through.
“Well, I couldn’t stop you even if I wanted to,” Henry laughed, stepping out of the way and gesturing to the door. “Have fun, and listen to Charlie! Make sure you’re back by dayshift.”
“You got it, Uncle Henry!” Evan sang, hugging the old ghost around the waist before moving to the door and eagerly awaiting Charlie’s signal to go. He couldn’t wait to show Cassidy all she’d been missing!
Cassidy caught up to Evan, instinctively putting her palm against his. She’d started out having to comfort Evan all those years ago, much to her dismay of feeling like she was “babysitting” him. Now, she just really liked his company. Joining hands when they walked just felt natural.
“Is the Daycare as lame as it sounds?” she asked, figuring there was a bunch of dumb baby shit there. Building blocks, toys made for learning versus having fun...
“Do you think we'd go to babytown to hang out if it wasn't fun? There's the biggest ball pit I've ever seen there! Plus it's got these two huge climbing gyms,” Elizabeth explained with a shake of her head, and that seemed to win Cassidy over.
Charlie watched as they started to wander up to the surface, following the lead of both Gregory and Evan for now. She felt safer walking in the back and keeping all of them in her sights. Even if most of the kids were dead, she knew they could still get into trouble...
“I'll see you later, pops,” Charlie said as she gave her dad a quick hug goodbye. An extra squeeze around the shoulders before letting him go, and she was off to herd the flock of kids towards the surface of the Pizzaplex.

HW2 Theory
So, I've noticed a few people talking about how Candy Cadet's story in Help Wanted 2 might relate to Cassie's father, and I just realized a way it might connect if Cassie's Dad is the Bonnie Mask Bully/Jeremy from FNAF 2
Spoilers for Help Wanted 2 under cut
So, in the story, Candy Cadet says that "The woman escaped before she was thrown into the oven, but she would have a scar for the rest of her life."
In FNAF 2, before the bite of '87 happened, Phone guy says this:
"What on earth are you doing there, uh didn’t you get the memo, uh, the place is closed down, uh, at least for a while. Someone used one of the suits. We had a spare in the back, a yellow one, someone used it...now none of them (the animatronics) are acting right."
"Uh we have one more event scheduled for tomorrow, a birthday. You’ll be on day shift, wear your uniform, stay close to the animatronics, make sure they don’t hurt anyone okay."
The animatronics not acting right after this results in the bite, with Jeremy surviving, but most likely having a scar. The 'witch' in this case was William, possibly messing with the animatronics to cause another bite and attack one of the people responsible for his son's death.
Now, why would Jeremy be working at Fazbear Entertainment, or even come back after the bite? Well, if he was friends with Michael, perhaps he wanted to help him investigate what the Hell was going on with the animatronics/what happened to William/what William did. Especially if my theory/headcanon is right that Bonnie Mask and Cassidy were siblings.
Now of course, Candy Cadet's story could refer to Vanessa, but it doesn't make sense in context of HW2. In the secret ending, she (as Vanny) destroys glitchtrap, so the phrase "the witch would finally have her meal" doesn't exactly fit, at least to me. Whereas the player/Cassie's dad gets attacked by the Staff Bots at the end and turned into the Maskbot.
Now, how would Jeremy be lured back to the Pizzaplex? We know he was a game tester in Help Wanted 1, plus as well as knowing Cassie and Gregory were friends prior to SB, and knowing Gregory had been possessed/brainwashed by Glitchtrap at some point, it's not unlikely that Glitchtrap could have used Gregory to lure Jeremy back.
(This works whether Glitchtrap is Afton or the Mimic, due to the Mimic is well, mimicing William. Still wanting revenge on those who killed CC/Evan.)
But that's just my theory on all of this.

“It’s me. Don’t you… Don’t you remember?”
DIRTYNIGHTCLOWNS-
i mean if the killers... maybe thought y/n was too annoying... too in the way of their murdering... kept moon too docile... maybe just clipping y/n from Sun&Moon's memory would be a good fix :)
OHOHOH NONNIE :)
This one. This one is going to hurt.
This will also be not canon.
To say you were upset was an understatement. You were crying so hard it was hard to see the road. When you drove right past the turn for your apartment complex, you knew where you were going.
You just didn't want to be alone.
The park was already open for the night, but you were able to abuse your employee privileges and get a parking spot that wouldn't mean a mile hike up to the gates. Seriously, this place needed another parking garage. The first one wasn't cutting it.
The gates opened with a creak. The staff bot at the ticket counter waved at you. You waved back, wiping furiously at your face.
Well. If you weren't working tonight, you knew Moon wasn't either. Wasn't permitted out of the daycare without eyes on him. Not when they still hadn't sorted his 'software issue'. That was fine. All you wanted right now was to see him.
You marched on towards the building made to look like a tent, pulling yourself together. Calming down. Moon always knew how to distract you. You could really use the distraction, even if it meant being picked on for a couple hours.
Except... the daycare was empty.
"Moon?" You called out over the play area. You peeked into the naptime nook. Little artificial stars lit your path.
There was no sign of the lunar animatronic you so adored anywhere in the daycare. You even boldly tried the door by the security desk, but it was locked. Still, given how loud you were being, there was no way he didn't hear you. Right?
Unless he wasn't in the daycare.
As if on cue, the doors to the daycare swung open. In your panic, you dove under the security desk. Why were you hiding? Well, technically you weren't supposed to be there. You didn't want to get in trouble for breaking in (even if Moon had given you the pass code for the backdoor). But really, if you came clean, you probably wouldn't, right? Should you just-
"Alright, Moon," a rough voice cut through your mental debate. You've really gotta stop eavesdropping like this.
"You're good to go. Since you're not allowed to work without your handler, you'll just have to hang out in the daycare tonight. If you notice any continued issues, just send us a report." Carlos tucked his hands into his pockets.
"Thank you, Mr. Carlos," Moon looked around the daycare. Clean, as always. Sun never did like to leave a mess.
"Heh. If only the Moon at the 'plex were so easy to work with... G'night." With that, the slimy tech turned and strolled back out of the daycare. The doors swung shut.
A little breath of relief fell out of you. Carlos. You really didn't want to run into him. Not after what Springtrap had said about him. How skeevy do you have to be to make an animatronic designed for scaring uncomfortable?
"Sun? Are you awake?" Moon's voice was quiet. You weren't sure if Sun responded, give that dialogue would be internal. But he must have, because after a moment Moon said, "I'm fine."
Moon was on the verge of asking Sun another question. You heard him start with "Do you" when you popped up quickly. No, you couldn't eavesdrop on them. That wouldn't be right.
The moment you popped up behind the desk, Moon jumped.
"Trespas- oh. You." Moon's claws relaxed. "What are you doing here? The daycare is closed. And you aren't working."
"Uh..." You shifted. "I just came to see you."
Moon's head tilted cartoonishly.
"Why?"
"Well.." You looked at him. Was he messing with you right now? Usually he seemed excited to see you. "I just... wanted to?"
"You... wanted to see me?" Moon pointed at himself. The puzzled look on his face troubled you.
"Yes? I thought we could talk. Or- Or play a game. I don't know, I've just... had a rough day and-
"And you came... here? To me? Shouldn't you have... gone to a friend?" Moon's genuine confusion struck you. Gone to a friend? Well. That hurt.
"You are my friend," you said quietly, "Moon if this is like... like some kind of joke, it's not funny."
"I'm completely serious," Moon stood up straighter, "you're not meant to be in the daycare right now. You entered the park without a ticket. You need to leave."
"Leave? No, I'm not leaving until you tell me what's going on with you." You stood taller, arms crossed. Why was he doing this to you?
"What's going on with me is that I am escorting a trespasser off of company property. I'll be filing a report, I hope you know that." Moon shook his head, "how typical of management to stick me with such a troublemaker."
And then it clicked. He didn't know you. He didn't remember you.
"Moon. It's... It's me. It's starlight. Don't you... Don't you remember me?" You crept out from behind the desk.
"I've never met you before," he said flatly. Your eyes grew misty.
"Oh." You put a hand to your mouth. Moon watched your expression twist with despair. "Oh god..." He vaguely wondered if you were having some kind of nervous breakdown.
Still. Moon's caretaker programming wouldn't stop nagging at him. You were distressed, obviously. He needed to correct that.
"..." Moon hesitantly reached out and patted your shoulder. He wasn't accustomed to the idea of comforting adults. Little ones, certainly. But adults? Well, he tried not to think on it.
You looked up at Moon. What could you say?
"Moon... is... Sun- I- Does he remember?" Your hands clasped together, as if you were praying.
Moon's head tilted once more. His expression shifted.
"Sun has informed me that he doesn't recognize you." Moon shrugged, "we've never met you. What did you call yourself? Starlight? Is that a preferred name?"
"It's... not," you wiped your eyes, "...sorry for trespassing. I uh, I should go. I should- yeah- I should leave."
"Right," Moon folded his hands together, watching you move towards the exit, "I suppose I'll be seeing you tomorrow for our first shift together?"
The question made you cringe. You clenched your fists.
"...Yeah. See you tomorrow, Moonbeam," you tossed a lazy wave before moving for the door again.
Moon watched you go. One step. Two. Five.
Should we be worried? Sun, always so concerned about others.
Six. Eight. Ten.
Moon groaned.
Suddenly, he was grasping your hand. You looked back at him.
Well. This felt painfully familiar. Like a twisted deja vu.
"Something wrong?" It just jumped out of you so naturally. Moon shifted, hands fidgeting.
"Maybe... You could stay... For one game." He looked anywhere but you. Moon couldn't deny he was curious about you. About why you were there. Why you were sad and why you called him Moonbeam. It tugged at something in him.
"Uh..." You looked up at him. Mason's words crept back in.
Quit while you're ahead.
...Guess you're not the quitting type. You took a breath.
"Hide and seek?" You smiled up at him, drying your face.
"Perfect." Moon nodded.
"Do you want to seek?" You followed him away from the door. Moon tried to fight it, but he grinned.
"Yes." There was a little jingle of bells as he bounced in anticipation. Anticipation of the game. Of the chase.
Moon does love to chase.
And you. Well. You were shaping up to be an interesting mystery to chase.
#justaduckarts#DLNS#the sillies#i couldn't commit to the angst#i had to give them hope sorry#also of you were expecting moon to be totally feral also sorry#hes still pretty new to the virus so a factory reset would be like#default personality settings#moons shy#anyway yeah

watched exo's ladder 4 episode 5
They made Junmyeon film an insightful speech with the backdrop of the wonderful view but it was just awkward lmfao. I love you little cringe bunny man, never change.
Junmyeon admitting to his bullying kink is a huge step, fellow bunnyzens
Chanyeol and Kyungsoo came and made Junmyeon take their photo lol. And Chanyeol told Junmyeon to make them look like a couple lol. And then Jongdae just came to watch.
Junmyeon's photography skills not so good on this fateful night lol. First the flash and then the blurriness.
Staff: You can have a leisurely evening walk Chanyeol: Is there going to be a game?
Omg the fairy wings! I did see a gif of Junmyeon and Jongdae putting the cute props on Kyungsoo <3
Jongdae talking to Kyungsoo like he's a kid lol
Kyungsoo's just so cute that Junmyeon wants to dress him up too <3
The X team had an extra headband so Junmyeon wanted one of the members of the other team to wear them but Chanyeol was like "nuh-uh, we're not a part of your team!"
I would want to wear the light-up wings, they're very cute <3
Chanyeol rapt by the bear's fairy tale
Minseok too :P
They were saying how the hanging lights were like the tree from Avatar XD Ever since I started watching kpop content, the number of references I've seen to Avatar has gone from zero to a strangely high number lmao.

Below The Surface
Fnaf sb fic
Summary:
Bri had just moved from her home town and hasn't really adjusted yet. She struggles to look for a job. Her and her best friend Chloe continually search for a job that would be suitable for both of them to work at. Before long they came across a flyer that boldly read "FREDDY FAZBEARS MEGA PIZZAPLEX NOW HIRING!!" The both shoot each other a bold glance and nod as if they read each others minds.
CAUTION: Vulgar language, childhood trauma

Name: Brielle/Bri
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Status: New
Prologue
“So, you're saying I can go anywhere in the Pizza Plex completely for free?" Bri asked. " Correct! “ The manager stated. " If… You take the job that is. “ Bri and her best friend had seen an ad online about how Freddy Fazbear's Mega PizzaPlex was hiring new employees. They were very short staffed due to a former employee that had gone missing one night. People were scared to work there after that.
“So what are my positions again?" Bri genuinely asked." “You will be assigned a band member of the four to handle and care for. Just not the STAFF bots and endos.”He started." And what're those? “ Bri wondered." Oh! I haven't mentioned them yet have I? “He responded.
‘Them?’ Bri thought. ‘There's more than one?’ " STAFF bots are our most high tech security bots. They are programmed to patrol certain areas of the Pizza Plex to look out for intruders, Burgilurs, or lost children.” The manager proceeded. ‘God forbid that ever happens.’ “ There is one human security guard. Her name is Vanessa. She will be your co-worker. She is also head security.” He continued.
“How many STAFF bots are there exactly?” Bri nervously questioned in her cold medal chair. “ Uh…. off the top of my head I would say around eighty to ninety?" ‘ EIGHTY TO NINETY?!’ Bri choked in thought.
" Why are there so many?! “ Bri nervously pleaded. I mean, who wouldn't be frightened at the fact that almost one hundred robots wander around this gigantic building. Typically at night. “Well, this place isn't called the Mega Pizza Plex for nothing! “He exclaimed. ‘Yeah no shit’. “ We…..only have one human night guard. That doesn't patrol in only one area. You'll…. Learn more about that on your first day. “The manager beamed.
“And what about the endos? Are they somehow… Similar? “ Bri asked. “ Oh right! The Endoskeletons are the…. Well I wouldn't say skeleton but there the insides of the animatronics.”He implied. A shiver rode down Bri’s spine as he described what the mechanical beasts looked like. Imagine having that at your bedside. Just the thought makes her body quiver.
“Buuut, you won't have to worry about them. They only hang out in the basements. So you have nothing to worry about! “He declared. ‘Ok, so long as they're nowhere near me, I'll be fine. Yeah…..just fine.’ “So, when can I start?” Bri settled.
“Oh good! You've decided to take the job!"He exclaimed. “Ahem… Anyway, the earliest you can start is tomorrow morning at eight AM. I'd be happy to give you a tour if you'd like. Or do you know the Plex already? “He trailed off. “Actually I just moved here. I've never been here before. I'm just in desperate need of a job. I… Hope that's ok? “ Her words faltered. Waiting for an answer.
“No worries! I'm happy to give you a tour! And personally meet the band!” He exclaimed. “ Just sign here and I'll give you that tour…. uh Bri right?" He guessed."Yeah that's right.” She assured as she marked her signature at the bottom of the contract." Well then.” He beamed." The name's Brian. Welcome to the team Bri!” Brian hollered through the tiny room with only a table and two medal chairs.
He sent a gracious smile her way as he shook her hand. “ Now, how about that tour? We’ll start at rockstar row, the Glamrocks are performing at this time so they won't be in there rooms.” Brian exclaimed as he motioned her to the door holding it open for her as she stepped in front of him.

The Lesser Blue (Glamrock Freddy x Reader)
Being the new techie at an already struggling chain was bound to come with some minor flaws. New problems were arising every minute, while you still couldn't manoeuvre around the place without getting lost. You'd been working for three weeks, and you never stopped feeling like the most worthless being in the room - which was really saying something considering where you actually worked.
Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex. With the majority of the crew being non-alive, it was quite embarrassing that you felt inferior to a bunch of bots. The STAFF Bots could do anything you could do, probably better and faster than you too. God, sometimes you wondered why they even bothered hiring you in the first place.
Still, a job was a job no matter how terrible you were at it. They'd fire you when they got round to it.
Usually, you ended up doing a lot of tasks that had nothing to do with what your actual job was supposed to be. Mind you, it mainly involved sitting on your ass and waiting for somebody to radio through to you about an issue that would already be resolved by a bot by the time you got there.
This wasn't one of those cases.
You were painting.
With a STAFF bot, of course.
Looking at your work next to the bot's, you pressed your lips together and nodded solemnly. The electric shade of blue was silky smooth and even on its side. With each stroke of the paintbrush, it continued to be perfect. You reluctantly glanced back over to your side of the wall. It was patchy and still dripping in areas where you'd used too much paint.
You couldn't help but deflate slightly, despite being very used to this occurrence already.
The STAFF bot paid you no mind as it continued its work. In fact, it was so enthusiastic to do the best job it possibly could that it slid its brush over your poorly done paint job, replacing your mediocre work with its own.
You felt your eye twitch slightly.
"Fine!" You snapped, dropping your wet brush directly onto the carpet. "If you don't want me here, you can do it by yourself!"
You had all intent to turn and storm away. Which is what you would've done if you hadn't slammed into a mass of metal, banging your head on a vaguely familiar chest.
You raised your hand to grapple at your forehead as you staggered back, letting out a pitifully small and pretty humiliated 'ow'.
"I am sorry, I did not intend to startle you! Are you alright?" It was the bear, Freddy. In all his animatronic glory, staring down at you with what could be interpreted as concern.
You had no idea how he'd managed to sneak up on you. The animatronics were heavy, and you could hear their footsteps from rooms away.
Had you been that invested in the STAFF bot's success that you seriously didn't hear Freddy?
Considering you'd been hired to look after these guys, you'd interacted with them a total of about seven times. Collectively.
"Uh, yeah-no, sorry, I'm fine. I didn't um, I didn't see you there." You stumbled, internally cringing at yourself. Jesus, the robots could even talk better than you.
Freddy leaned forward, peering down at you as you shunk back. In your short experience with the main bunch, he seemed to be the calmest of the four, but also the most aloof. You gulped, glancing around for any distraction that could get you out of this weird staring competition.
"So uh, yeah, sorry, I'll get out of your hair now." You offered a nervous, lopsided grin, and attempted to sidestep him, only to be thwarted by his hands shooting out to keep you in place. "I mean fur!" You shouted, sweat beading on your forehead as his eyes narrowed. "Uh, metal?"
"My apologies if this seems rude, but what is wrong with your face?" Freddy's head tilted inquisitively, which might have been quite cute if you had any fucking idea what he was talking about.
"what." You blinked, your voice hardly a whisper.
Then he lifted his hand from your shoulder to your face, ignoring the way you winced and scrunched up your nose as he extended his index finger towards it. As it made contact, you spluttered.
"What are you doing!??"
And with a single swipe, your whole world crumbled beneath you.
On his finger was an undeniable shade of blue.
You recalled your hand from your face immediately, staring with horror at your extremely blue fingertips. Instantly you swivelled around to look at the STAFF bot who had already ruined your day. It was spotless.
The look of absolute rage on your face was hard to miss, and harder to cover up.
"Woah, hey now! There's no need to be upset, superstar!"
You sure as hell did not feel like a superstar.
"I don't want to talk about this." You tore your eyes away from the entirely clean robot and deadpanned at the ground, mortified and ashamed of yourself. Freddy chuckled and patted your head, ruffling your hair a little.
"Do not worry, Y/N! It's a nice colour on you, and-," He cheerfully began. "-we match!"
You couldn't help but smile as he pointed to his own blue markings with his free hand, only rolling your eyes a little bit. "hah, yeah sure, we'd match if it wasn't splotched on my face without me even realising."
"What's wrong with that?" Freddy asked, his eyes piercing into yours. You averted your gaze.
"Well first of all, you're supposed to be like that, it's part of your design! It is definitely not supposed to be on me." You retorted, crossing your arms defensively.
"Why not? What is stopping you if you don't have a design?" The surprisingly good point made you pause in your argument. Damn it, you'd hit a whole new low. Losing a debate to a goddamn robot.
"I just don't exactly want paint on my face, okay?" You could feel the blood rising to your cheeks as you finally looked back at him.
"Okay," Freddy replied. He finally removed his hand from your head. You had almost forgotten about it being there. Instead, he moved his arm to link with yours, gently but firmly pulling you away from the other bot. "Let's get you cleaned up then."
As much as you hated feeling terrible in comparison to a bunch of robots, you had to say he was becoming the exception.

Spiders and Golden Powers (Part 2)
man i haven’t had this much fun in the Fruit Smoothie AU since the Masquerade
let’s go
MK and the others are constructing their plan on how to rescue Macaque, get the staff, and get rid of the mech. The planning process is especially hard due to their main power house being Powerless. not to mention the growing anxiety in knowing they likely don’t have long until the golden manifestation of Wukong’s powers escapes and starts wrecking havoc.
Wukong specifically is having a hard time making plans without his powers.
“I could use my golden sight to-” Everyone stares at him. “Oh. Right.”
“I could make a clone and-” Everyone stares at him. “Oh. Right.”
“I could use my cloud to fly up and-” Everyone stares at him. “Oh. Right.”
The stares get sadder every time and Wukong keeps retreating deeper into the hoodie he’s wearing.
eventually they come up with a plan to have Mei carry MK in while Red Son teleports to the strongest source of energy on the mech once they’re in (which, presumably, would be the staff and MK).
“What if we encounter spider bots or demons on the way in though?” MK asks, “I don’t exactly have a weapon right now.”
“I have a rake.” Pigsy says, and Wukong sits up straight-
Only to slump back down again, pulling the hood over his head and avoiding eye contact as Pigsy pulls a regular garden rake out of the closet.
Meanwhile, Macaque hisses as another wave of electricity almost causes his glamour to fail. One of the spider demons (he never bothered to figure out their individual names) glances up at him with suspicion, before refocusing on...whatever it is they were doing.
his ear twitches as he hears another crack.
he glances up just in time to see the golden Wukong growl, as the cracks spread, becoming visible.
“uh, I don’t think that’s supposed to happen” on of the spider demons says, and Macaque bites his tongue to keep himself from responding with “no shit, sherlock”
the glass shatters, and almost immediately the manifestation of Wukong’s powers pounces, leaping over to the closest wall, biting into a metal pole and it pulling it off the wall with his teeth before letting it clatter to the ground, dropping from the wall to land beside the pole on all fours.
the spider demons run as the golden Wukong lifts the pole and tosses it at them, and Macaque takes one brief moment to think about how much he’d love to see the real Wukong pull a stunt like that, before he realizes this is the PERFECT distraction, and uses the chaos of Golden!Wukong slamming against the side of the room to turn intangible, sliding through the spider threads and landing on the floor in front of the staff.
sighing, wondering what course led him to the point where he’d be doing this instead of just escaping immediately, he grasps onto the staff and starts to pull.
it’s heavy (he’s not it’s true wielder after all), and the power it takes to lift it starts to drain him, and being repeatedly electrocuted has done him no favours. his glamour starts glitching out, revealing his true form as he finally manages to pull the staff free. behind him, the golden Wukong cause a beam to topple into the wall, creating a hole to the outside of the mech. Macaque pants from the exertion of pulling the staff, before shrinking it and putting it in his pocket.
“So, it’s the little shadow again....”
Macaque’s fur stands on end as, despite the loud chaos still rampaging around him, that one spine chilling voice still comes out loud and clear.
not needing to look behind him to know who it is, he turns and starts to run towards a hole in the wall.
A bolt of magic hits him in the back, chilling his spine, making him stumble as the echoey sounds of fire and screams roars in his ears.
he turns to face the Lady Bone Demon with terror in his eyes, and he sees her smirk-
the mech lurches to the side from the damages done to it, and Macaque goes toppling out the hole in the wall.
thankfully, team MK had already been on their way when they saw the smoke coming from the side of the spider mech.
Mei manages to catch sight of Macaque, and activates her dragon powers to leap up, snatching him out of the air, bringing him safely back down to where the others are.
she sets him down on his feet, but Macaque stumbles, Sandy having to help support him. without a word, Macaque silently pulls the staff out of his pocket and tosses it to MK, who catches it effortlessly.
they all glance up as the spider mech lurches again, and then falls to the ground, smoking, parts of it very clearly on fire. in the distance, they can vaguely see the spider gang and LBD making their escape.
but they have more pressing matters on their hands.
through the wreckage of the mech, the golden Wukong drags itself out, letting out angry hisses and golden sparks as it continues to bite and tear at anything in it’s path.
“Now.” Wukong says, stepping forwards, “Comes the hard part.”
he’d hoped to be able to get his powers returned to him while they were still caught, before they started rampaging.
he doesn’t have much of a choice now.
the Golden Wukong catches sight of him, and before anyone can do anything, it runs and merges right into Wukong, yelling in anger whilst Wukong yells in pain.
theres a flash of light, and the others all cover their eyes.
when they open them, Wukong is still standing in the same place he was, but now he’s slightly curled up, arms wrapped around his chest, golden sparks coming off of him, his fur standing slightly on end.
“Monkey King, are you-”
“Stay back, kid.” is hissed by both Wukong and Macaque, as Wukong turns to stare at them fully golden eyes. Macaque steps out of Sandy’s grip in order to grasp onto MK’s arm, preventing him from approaching his mentor.
gold starts to flare around Wukong repeatedly, in tune with his heart beat. he takes a deep breath in, and a deep breath out, but his breathing continues to be erratic.
each golden flare grows slightly bigger.
the sheer power is starting to push the others back.
“Wukong!” Macaque yells, “You have to calm down!”
“I’m trying! It’s not working!”
Macaque hisses a swear, before shadows suddenly wrap their way around everyones feet, and Macaque pushes MK back as he steps forwards, grabbing hold of Wukong’s arm (ignoring the strangled gasp and frantic “Let go-” )
He shadow teleports them all to the mountain range where MK and Wukong fought him. as soon as they’re all through, Macaque lets go of Wukong’s arm, collapsing from exhaustion from carrying all of them such a large distance. Sandy catches him, and he tiredly mutters a thanks.
Wukong immediately stumbles away from the others, and they watch in worry and slight fear as the golden flares continue to get bigger,
and then Wukong trips, falling backwards over the cliff behind him.
everyone yells in panic, leaning forwards.
...
and then a giant golden hand grasps onto the side of the cliff.
slowly, it pulls the rest of itself up, revealing Wukong’s light monster kaiju form.
it’s eyes are glowing with a golden rage.
Wukong floats in it’s chest where the heart would be, his eyes also glowing gold, looking unaware of anything that surrounds him.
Kaiju Wukong growls down at them, and Mei pulls out her sword, Red Son readying his fire, the two of them ready to fight if they must.
MK swings the staff out in front of them to prevent them from charging forwards. they both glance at him in confusion, but MK is only looking at the mentor that has slowly become like a father figure to him.
“....Dad?”
Kaiju Wukong pauses, it’s facial expression softening for a brief moment.
and then it’s expression twists, and it turns around, stomping away.
“Wait-”
Within the kaiju made of light, Wukong lifts his arm, and the kaiju mimics the motion.
and then it swings its arm down upon a nearby mountain. rocks rain down into the chasm below, and the ground shakes from the sheer force of it, sending MK and the others slightly off balance. Tang and Pigsy grasp each other to keep from falling down, and they all watch as Kaiju Wukong lifts his arm to hit the mountain again.
waves of magic come off from Kaiju Wukong each time he hits the mountain, and after another wave, MK lets out a growl.
Macaque’s ear twitches.
“Mei, Red Son, grab him.” he says, gesturing at MK. Mei and Red Son glance at Macaque in confusion, before turning to see that MK has started letting off golden sparks.
without a second thought, they each wrap their arms around MK, holding him close, and keeping him calm.
Kaiju Wukong is still hitting the mountain.
“What should we do about this?!” Tang asks.
“There’s nothing we can do.” Macaque says, “We just have to wait.”
it takes an hour.
but then the Kaiju form flickers, and then vanishes, and Wukong hovers in mid air for a moment-
before beginning to tumble rapidly to the ground.
Macaque manages to summon up enough power to create another shadow portal beneath Wukong, sending him directly into Sandy’s arms.
Wukong is unconscious when he lands, but Sandy manages to wake him up enough with a few shakes to get the confirmation that he’s fine, just exhausted from using so much energy, before Wukong passes out again.
the danger has passed.
for now.
hours later, sitting in Wukong’s house beside the couch, everyone sipping on smoothies as they all wait for Wukong to wake up again, Macaque shivers.
“Brain freeze?” Red Son jokes, and Macaque gives a little laugh in response, before going back to chewing on the bendy straw in his cup.
he’d been chewing on the straw for a while now, actually.
not a single drop of smoothie had actually made its way into his mouth yet.
another chill went down his spine.
they weren’t out of the woods yet.
