The Prince’s Gift
Tumblr media
@nesting-dreams ,” How do you think Prince sidon would deal with having a crush on a Hylian and he gave them a romantic gesture of protection. Crush does not realise this. Nobody told them. They thought it was because theyre friends and didnt know this was a part of Zora culture.  They end up splitting apart because crush has to go elsewhere, but when they meet up again, crush still has it With them. Crush finds out this time that its a romantic gesture and they apologise to him for not realising, but they offer to continue having it even after they realise because they like him  back if hes still interested? This idea is sweet and funny to me.”
~xXx~
Staring down at the specially crafted shield in your hands, you let out a groan, gently knocking your head into said hand held barrier. You felt so silly. How could you have not realized the implications and significant importance of it? Looking back and remembering all the moments shared between you and the Zora Prince, Sidon, the evidence was as clear as day. However, you of course hadn’t noticed a single one, too oblivious to notice your own true feelings how could you have been able to see his. Now, standing before the graceful statue Mipha, you wondered if it was too late. It had been a long while since you were last in the domain, having departed for an extended mission alongside Hyrules Hero. Before having left, Sidon had pulled you aside, handing you the shield as what you thought a simple parting gift between friends. Oh how wrong you were though, as it was anything but a simple friendly gesture.
“Hylia, I feel like an idiot.”, you grumbled out, gazing up into the stone eyes of Mipha.
You never personally knew the princess, but from what you gathered by the stories Sidon shared with you, you had a feeling she would have been giggling at the adorable predicament between you and her dear brother.
As if the universe had been reading your mind, the sounds of foot falls across the domains watery floor resounded behind you, and you turned with a stunted breath to see the man on who’d been occupying your mind.
Upon seeing you, Sidon broke into a wide grin, sharp teeth glistening the light of the glowing architecture surronding you both.
“Ah, so Bazz was right. You have returned. I am glad to see you again, and safe nonetheless.”
The feeling of familiar butterflies fluttering in your stomach had started up, and you internally cursed about your reaction to such a simple statement from your closest friend. Perhaps it was his tone that had set your heart array, the Prince had always had a light air to his voice you noticed. Sidon had been known for his charisma, but even when not trying to rally confidence out of others, he seemed to still have a way of caring his thoughts through his voice. With a shake of your head to regain focus, you took few steps forward to be closer to your best friend, holding out the object that caused you so much recent turmoil.
“W-well, I have your gift to thank for that.”, you gulped, feeling your cheeks warm and peering up to gauge Sidons reaction from beneath your lashes.
Sidons eyes had widened for but a brief moment at seeing the protective gear he had presented to you now being presented to him. With a gentle smile, he reached down to caress his scaled claws over the intricate designs he carved himself, taking note of a slight gash that had not been there before. As much as it scared him to know you’d been in some sort of trouble, he was relieved to see his present had provided it’s purpose. However, along with the remembrance of the reason for his gift to you, came a sorrow that had blossomed the day you left with it. Before Sidon could express his troubled thoughts, the call of his name and your furrowed brows accompanied by a worried frown had stopped him.
“Yes (y,n)? Whatever is the matter? Please tell me.”, he persuaded, a frown equally etching its way onto his eloquent face.
With another gulp, you nervously tapped your nails against the gorgeous shield that kept you safe day and night during your journey.
“About your gift. I-well. . .uhm. . .I’m so sorry.”
A gut wrench feeling like the tip of the sharpest spear pierced it’s way through Sidons heart. Oh no. Was this it? Was what he had been fearing about to actually occur. He had thought your nonchalant thanks when he had presented you the shield after the endearing speech he’d given before hand had been a tad bit strange. The poor Zora figured you had accepted his hard made, devoted gift only out of kindness as friends, not wanting to cause him any dismay if you’d rejected it instead. Oh, but how far from the truth Sidon was.
The prince regained himself, ready to put up a front to hide his pain and take back the rejected gift, when you’d suddenly clutched the shield to your chest. With a heavy sigh, you willed yourself to speak what you meant by your apology, all the while nervously stumbling over your words.
“It’s just that-well-I. . .I didn’t know what it truly meant when you gifted me this shield, and I’m so so so sorry for the lack of appreciation I must have given you. In truth, I. . .”
Biting your lip, you held up said gift to shield your own embarrassment before blurting out the truth.
“I really do cherish your courting gift, and I would love to court you if you still want to!”
A moment of silence fell between you both, the only sound being the domains rushing falls and your own racing heart. There was no way Sidon could still feel the same. Enough time had passed between his proclamation of how he truly felt about you, that surely he’d have gotten over it by now. Yet, you knew that if you didn’t say something in this moment, than trying to go back to just being friends would be very difficult on your part. At least this way, you could have some closer and a reminder to squash any fluttering feelings from blossoming further in the future.
The sound of a handsome laugh had pulled you from your thoughts, and you peeked over the metal of the shield to see Sidon trying his best to not burst into further laughter. At your very confused expression, the prince waved a hand, reaching forward to clasp his much larger hands over yours which still clutched his gift.
“Oh my dear (y,n). I am the one who should be apologizing. I suppose I was too excited in gifting you that I had forgotten Zora courtship practices are not very well known to others.”
Looking from his warm hands cupped over yours to the endearance pouring from his gleaming eyes, you goofily squinted.
“Soooo, that’s a yes to still wanting to ya know? Like. . .court and stuff?”
A deep laugh resounded from within Sidons chest as he gently lifted you up into a hug; you clinging to him and the shield he crafted to forever protect you. With an added kiss to your burning cheeks your Zora companions actions gave your elated self a very clear, and heartwarming answer.

How would yandere platonic link x maid reader x Yandere romantic Ganon hcs go especially with a reader who tends to attract danger ~  please love to see what you come up with, I Thank you in advance 💗
I assumed you meant Ocarina of Time era? Because that's what came to mind for me. I'm rusty on the details of the game's plot but I hope that does not change much. Link is tame in this as he's just overprotective.
This talks of time skips between young and adult link. You are 18 during the young Link era and 25 during the adult Link era.
If you are wondering ahout the dynamic. You and Link see each other as siblings/friends while Ganon sees you in a romantic light. Hopefully that makes sense.
Yandere! Platonic! Link with Maid! Reader vs Yandere! Romantic! Ganondorf
Pairing: Platonic (Link)/Romantic (Ganondorf)
Possible Trigger Warnings: Female Darling, Obsession, Manipulation (Ganon primarily), Overprotective behavior (Link), Possessive behavior (Ganon), Forced relationship/marriage (Ganon), Consensual companionship (Link).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let's start with you.
You are a young royal maid working for the king.
You tend to the princess and all of her needs while keeping the castle clean.
For the most part you stay out of the way of guards and others.
You tend to gardens and on your time off you roam the castle.
You and Princess Zelda are close as you have a warm aura to you.
You do her hair and watch over the young princess like a sibling.
You don't meet Link or Ganon until later.
In fact you meet them relatively close to one another.
You meet Link, the young Hylian boy, when he's sneaking about the castle.
You catch him speaking with Zelda alone and quickly rush over to chase the troublesome boy off.
Yet Zelda stops you, explaining how he is a friend and ally.
You inquire further and Zelda tells you about her prophetic dreams.
She says she feels the boy, Link, will be a hero in the future.
While Ganondorf is a source of evil that will try to corrupt Hyrule.
You take the girl's words with a grain of salt and promise her you won't tell the king about her new friend.
Meanwhile you turn to Link and ask him about himself.
He isn't really one for words but you manage to learn that he's from the Kokiri Forest and was somehow instructed here by his fairy.
On closer inspection you can tell he's Hylian, which only makes you more confused about the boy.
Link is a strange enigma to you but you don't see him as much of a threat.
Before you leave, Zelda asks you to be careful around Ganondorf.
You recall that he is the visitor who gave allegiance to the king recently.
You haven't actually spoken to him yet but promise to keep an eye out.
In fact... you thought he made you feel off when bowing to the king.
That's how you meet Link the first time.
After that you occasionally see him visit outside the castle where you greet him and relay messages.
Overtime he becomes like a little brother to you.
You look after him when you see him just like you do with the princess.
That's the bond you two/three share.
Now here's your meeting with Ganondorf....
Eventually you're going to meet him while working at the castle.
The first time is a brief glance while he meets with the king.
You bring food and drink, only to catch gleaming eyes flash to you.
A grin appears on his face for a moment before you turn and quickly leave.
He makes you feel... wrong.
You wonder if Zelda has a point.
Yet that must just be your anxiety at work!
Afterwards Ganondorf may try to meet you more often.
When he's at he castle he often asks for you to bring him food, water, or some sort of item.
It's then he tries to initiate conversation.
You're extremely nervous yet put up with it.
Ganondorf seems like he'd be very smooth with words if he can win over the king.
He notices you don't trust him.
While he enjoys your fearful gaze, he tries to make you more comfortable.
He changes his tone and tries to be welcoming.
He's an ally of the king! Does he scare you that bad?
You poor maid... shaking in your shoes as you speak to a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Ganondorf would purposefully try to make you trust him.
He offers you to sit with him and talk over some drink.
In the halls he greets you and initiates small conversation.
In reality he's trying to remove suspicions to his plan.
However... he also finds it fun to mess with your fear.
At some point he even feels attraction brew in his beastly heart.
When he gains power he'll keep you as his own personal maid.
While Link prepares himself by gathering what's needed to open the Temple of Time, this is what's going on.
Ganondorf tries his best to charm you, perhaps even giving compliments while trying sweeten you up around him.
You fear his intentions yet still push through it to keep an eye on him.
When you manage to get away from him, you find yourself speaking with Link.
Like a big sister you ask how he's doing and if he's okay.
He can tell your demeanor has changed due to Ganon although you never tell him a word.
Zelda most likely tells him when they meet.
Link doesn't like that you're constantly pestered by Ganondorf, the supposedly evil man.
He's protective of you yet he can't do anything... yet.
Let's skip to the point of when he unlocks the Temple of Time.
This is when Link encounters two versions of you.
As young Link he sees you as the kind young maid who cares for him and the princess.
As an adult, when seven years past, he sees you as an older woman under the control of Ganondorf.
Just as he suspected, Ganon was not pestering you for no reason.
In the future Ganondorf has taken you as his (forced) bride.
This fact hurts Link.
To see the woman he befriended, the one who cared for him and the princess, forced to be with the evil lord makes him sick.
As a result, Link accepts his role as the Hero of Time.
He not only has to save Zelda and Hyrule...
But he feels he needs to save you too.
I'm going to skip around as Ganondorf's obsession over you spans over seven years.
Meanwhile Link's more protective obsession is split between young and adult Link.
Obviously the two obsessions are different.
Ganondorf intends to force you to be his wife, his queen.
While Link sees you just as family, he doesn't want you condemned to such a fate.
It can be assumed as much that Ganondorf has been trying to court you until Link opened the Temple of Time.
Once Ganondorf was able to get inside and have the Triforce, he didn't have to be patient anymore.
While Link was sealed away, Ganondorf swoops in to you with newfound power.
There's no doubt you tried to flee to Kakariko like most.
Despite this the Gerudo King still ordered you be hunted down an brought to him.
After all, he's claimed you since he saw you.
This whole rivalry would span the entire Ocarina of Time story.
Link would be going from temple to temple to awaken sages.
When he can he tries to find you as young Link to check on how you're holding up.
Link is driven to help you, it becomes a goal that keeps him going.
While Ganondorf prepares and makes you his perfect maid/queen, Link prepares to fight the final battle.
Link matures and becomes ready to fight Ganondorf and save you.
When the big fight happens, you're forced to watch.
You can only sit and hope the young boy you knew years ago can defeat this monster.
There's only two outcomes.
Ganondorf wins and you're forced to continue being his queen, watching your world suffer in silence.
Or Link saves you, Zelda, and Hyrule....
Link seems like the most tame yandere in this.
The reason being he really just wants you safe.
The moment he gets you out of Ganon's clutches, he refuses to have you leave his arms.
To you, you haven't seen this kid in years.
To him? He's seen the suffering you've had to go through.
He saw it start, he saw it end.
He refuses to have you go through that again.
Even when Zelda gives him back his childhood, Link still vows to visit you.
To Link, it feels like he's on a trip to save family.
Even as he grows up, he promises to be your little defender.
It's a childish promise but he'll do anything to see you happy.
After Ganondorf is banished, your life goes back to caring for a young Zelda and Link.
Link plans to keep it that way as he grows up naturally, in his eyes you are the closest he's had to a sibling outside of the Kokiri.
He'd do anything to keep you happy...
Even if it meant slaying what he deems evil all over again just to achieve that.

Can i request a botw link x ganon's daughter reader oneshot?
Nobody knows that she was ganons daughter,
She was getting very jealous over mipha and link, when ganon attacks she sides with him and helps him with taking out the champions
100 years later, after links starts his journey he starts having flashback of him a girl that he actually speaks to and by the flashbacks the only one he speaks to.
the spirit of unbosa told link that he might find reader in the castle, when he was looking in/around the castle he find a room with reader in it and she getting her powers sucked out of her by ganon.
Memories of You (BOTW! Link x Reader)

Tumblr media
There’s not much he really remembers about you. Yet he finds himself clinging onto the few memories he has all the same.
Small glimpses of you. Snippets of conversation with you. Pieces here. Pieces there. Memories coming back suddenly. Memories slowly being coaxed back inside of him with the help of others. Little by little. Day by day. He sees more of you. He feels more of you. It’s like your presence- your spirit- grows with the more he can recall. Yet it never feels like much. He never feels like he learns much. Never.
You show up more than anyone else despite all that he’s lost. You show up so, so much yet he swears he doesn’t know anything about you. It’s like he chose to forget your name in favor of remembering just how bright your smile can be. It’s like he chose to forget your relationship with him in favor of remembering what it’s like to hear you laugh. It’s like he chose to forget nearly everything about you in favor of remembering what you look like when your cry.
But it’s those memories of you that he holds onto throughout his journey. When he’s sleeping shelter in a place for leaks and creaks beneath of raining sky, he thinks of the time he told you the perfect joke. It’s the sound of your giggles and the feeling of your hand pushing him away so you can try to regain your composure that gets him through these cold, lonely nights. When he’s lost, and he’s frustrated because he doesn’t know where to go, he thinks of a time when you complimented him with such sincerity, he thought his heart would have burst. You called him so many things in that memory- you said you were proud of him and that he meant the world to you. And it’s memories like that one that have him taking a deep breath, closing his eyes, counting to ten, and taking another good look at the map before trying again.
Even in the moments when he’s encountered a new location. A location with breathtaking views and indescribable sights. He’ll sit there and he’ll bask in their beauty, taking in every single second. And he’ll think about all the times he made you cry. He’ll think about all those times while wondering if bringing you to a place as gorgeous as this one would be enough to still your tears and bring that smile he adores back on your face. But he still doesn’t recall your name. He still doesn’t recall so, so much.
But that doesn’t stop him from clinging onto what little he knows about you. That doesn’t stop him from clinging to all that he has left of you. He traverses on with the image of you in his head. He fights every battle. He clears every shrine. He does it out of obligation. He does it because he thinks it’ll lead him to you.
And that’s why he’s here now.
That’s why he’s here, in Hyrule’s old and half-destroyed castle. Breathing in foul-scented air because someone told him there was a chance he could find you here. Crouching behind walls and sneaking past enemies because he felt like he could find you here. Alive, he can’t help but hope. But he has his doubts. Though his doubts have no strength against the memories he still clings onto them. He’ll see you again. He will, no matter what. And when he does, he knows he’ll have so many questions. Questions about what he sees in his memories. Questions about what he hears in his mind. Questions about what he’s come to learn about you after all this time. And Questions about all the things left in between.
What’s your favorite color? Why did he speak to you and no one else? How did the two of you meet? Why do you hold so much pain in your eyes? Is your favorite food the same one he always sees you getting with such a smile on your face? Is your father truly the terrible man that you say he is? Did you mean it? All the words that you last told me? Did you mean it when you said you hated me?
  What’s your name?
“...” His eyes shift to the side as the sudden creak of a door captures his attention. It’s a small movement, and it comes from all the way down the hall of an area he has yet to explore. Naturally, he wants to think it’s all due to the elements. Malice still covers the walls in places that are hard to reach, and the holes in the stone let a draft blow through all the tatter tapestry and carpets and rugs every second of every day. But he knows better by now. He knows so much better now.
But even then, it feels so, so little.
He’s slow, and he’s steady as he creeps forward. The master sword lies steady in the grip of one hand. A heavy shield decorated with the former royal family’s crest sits in his other hand. He’s silent as he moves. Fueled not by the thoughts of the skeptical. Fueled not by the hopes of the wistful. Fueled not by the expectations of the powerful. But fueled by the warm wind that seems to call his name. Fueled by the warm wind that seems to whisper yours.
So when he’s finally close enough to the door at the end of the hall, he knows he has approached something powerful. It radiates all around him. It threatens to push him back. It promises to destroy him. It vows to kill him. And he knows that from this point, he should proceed with caution. He knows he might not be prepared for what exactly he’ll see on the other side. Malice overwhelms him at this point. It coats the walls and the floors and so, so much. But it’s not enough. It’s not enough for him to turn his back on you like he knows he did before. It’s not enough for him to forget you like he knows he did before.
It’s not enough to keep him from wanting to know your name.
So he shoves open the door, and he readies his sword. He stares at the scene in front of him, and he stares at it head-on. He glares at a monster- big and tall and ferocious at it preys on the weak. And he gazes at an angel. A lost one. A forgotten one. Lying on the floor as it fights for its life. Lying on the floor as it fights for others. Very much alive.
  Very much you.
And for once, he doesn’t need memories of you to keep going. For once he doesn’t need echoes in his brain. For once he doesn’t need pictures in his mind. Because for the first time since he had woken in that chamber so, so long ago- for the first time- he feels that he can truly reach you. That he can truly find you. That he can truly save you. And ask you all those questions he has for you.
All those questions he has for you…
But for now, he’ll focus on the creature in front of you. He’ll draw his blade and he’ll attack and he’ll kill the creature in front of you. Because he has a feeling it’s what really took everything away. His friends. The princess. The king. The castle. The town.
Because he has a feeling it’s what took you away.
And maybe then…and maybe when you’re saved, you’ll tell him your name. Maybe when you’re saved, you’ll laugh at one of his jokes again. Maybe when you’re saved, you’ll give him one of your smiles again. Maybe when you’re saved, you’ll tell him what you meant to him. And what he meant to you.
And maybe…just maybe…his last memory of you won’t have to be of you crying. It won’t have to be of you screaming. It won’t have to be of you telling him “I HATE YOU”. Maybe then, his last memory of you could become something different.
Maybe then, it could be something closer to closer to “I love you.”

Homesick
"Hey, Sailor? Are you okay?"
Wind frantically wiped his eyes. It was probably too late to hide he had been crying, but he tried anyway. The others already saw him as the child of the group. If he let them see him like this, he would only be confirming their biases. He would no longer be an equal. He'd be reduced to someone to be rescued. And after the adventures Wind had been through, he never wanted to be seen as helpless again. He'd earned the right to call himself hero of Hyrule.
"I'm fine," he said and cursed the tremor in his voice. Pirates were supposed to be good liars, damn it.
"Mhm," Sky said. He sat down beside Wind in the sand and looked at the ocean in front of them. It sparkled in the evening sun.
"Do you miss sailing?"
Wind looked at the man at his side while he contemplated how honest he should be. The skyloftian's brown hair swayed in the wind, framing a round and kind face. Maybe it was the combination of his gentle expression and intense eyes, but Sky had an odd way of always looking both sleepy and awake, Wind thought.
"I s'ppose so," Wind said.
"But that's not what's bothering you," Sky said.
Wind sighed. "No."
They sat in silence for a while as the sun dipped closer to the horizon. Soon, the sky was bathed in red and orange hues. The ocean reflected the light. It was a spectacular sunset, but Wind knew it would be even more beautiful from the deck of his ship.
"The sunsets on Skyloft are amazing," Sky said like he'd read Wind's thoughts. "Sometimes Zelda and I go flying, just as the sun is setting. The red and orange is everywhere around you. It almost feels like you can touch the sun."
A wistful look had appeared on the older boy's face. He often spoke of his Zelda and his friend, Groose, but Wind had yet to meet either of them; he hadn't been to Sky's era yet. He knew that the knight's home was a floating island - which was, you know, weird - but he didn't know much else about it.
"What's Skyloft like?" Wind asked.
"I'm not even sure where to begin," Sky said. "It's so different from the other eras I've seen."
He hesitated.
"Living on Skyloft feels like the rest of the world is just out of reach. The horizon is endless and there's a whole world beneath the clouds, just waiting to be discovered. But you're confined to the island itself."
He sent Wind a smile.
"That's how it used to be, at least. The cloud cover disappeared after my adventure, and we've begun exploring the Surface."
Wind could get behind wanting to see the world. He'd felt the same way when he was small, looking at the endless ocean but unable to leave his island. Until his adventure, of course.
"Why couldn't you explore until after your adventure?" Wind asked. "Did you have to stay with your family?"
"Skyloft is very small. Everyone knows everyone, so the island feels like one big family," the knight answered, something in his eyes suddenly turning bittersweet. "But I don't have any parents or siblings. So to answer your question, no it wasn't because I had to stay with my family. Hylia herself made it so that it was impossible to cross the cloud cover."
"What happened to your parents?" Wind asked cautiously.
"There was a virus when I was little," Sky said. "Like I said, Skyloft is very small, so it spread quickly. My parents didn't make it."
Oh. Wind looked at the knight and wondered what else he was hiding. Sky was always so patient and kind. Wind had thought he was an open book. He was only now realizing how much he had yet to learn about his past.
"I'm sorry about your parents."
"I'm okay," Sky promised with a small smile. "It was a long time ago."
He bumped Wind's shoulder with his own.
"What about you? Do you have family back home?"
The burning in Wind's eyes intensified. He sniffled.
"I have my grandma and a little sister."
"What's your sister like?"
Wind smiled shakily.
"Aryll has a lot of energy. She likes climbing trees and dancing and swimming. That sorta thing. I'd promised to take her sailing when I came home from dealing with the dungeon."
A tear finally escaped his grasp and slid down his cheek.
"And then I left without even saying goodbye."
"That wasn't your fault," Sky said. "You couldn't have known we'd show up that day. And you weren't in control of that portal either."
Wind shook his head. While it was true he hadn't exactly been expecting to run into a group of heroes from other timelines in the dungeon, he had still left his grandma and Aryll behind. And it'd been weeks since then.
"I didn't even get to explain what happened," he said. "They must think I'm dead."
The tears started flowing more freely, and Wind couldn't have stopped them if he tried. Sky put an arm around him and held him close.
"We'll find a way to let them know what really happened," the knight promised. "Maybe we'll even get to visit your era soon, we've already been to Four's world twice."
Sky put his cheek to Wind's hair.
"We'll figure it out. You'll be okay. You'll be okay."
And Wind let himself be cry into Sky's shoulder until he had no tears left. The knight's voice was low and soothing. The breeze smelled of salt – of home – and the gentle lapping of the waves made for a pleasant background noise.
"You'll be okay," Sky whispered.
Wind settled into the older boy's hold and tried to believe it.

the prettiest?
the hero of koridai, clingy, dramatic and very much comical. still, he was the prettiest in the world for you... not that you would ever tell him, but hey, it's not like your eyes didn't already say as much.
character — koridai, romantic.
cw — none, pure fluff.
this man makes me silly and i am NOT normal about him, but it hurts me physically when i have to write golly. btw, i made this one with a hc that reader was taller than koridai, but this is never explicitly said or described, so read as you may.
Tumblr media
Cheerful laughter resounded through the inn, a few voices tagging along with the bard who sung and played at a dimly lit stage of the bar. It was possible to see Courage dancing along with a lady near the stage as Koridai cheered him on. Legend and Time both tapped their leg in sync with the music, probably wanting to play along, but also not wanting to interrupt the performance, Warriors on the other hand seemed happy enough while talking to the both of them, possibly trying to make them go in the stage for a play too.
Unexpectedly Hyrule and Four could be spotted on a far corner, arm wrestling with a few men who seemed a little surprised when neither of them lost a single round.
The rest of the group was either outside enjoying the festival happening around the town or already sleeping in their own room, but it was enjoyable even if all you were doing was watch over them while leaning against one of the inn more secluded walls.
You absentmindedly hummed along the song, which was familiar from Wild's constant singing, eyes closing as you wondered if you should get ready to go to your room too, when suddenly someone tapped at your arm.
You opened an eye, looking at the new presence, quickly spotting Koridai usual cheeky grin.
“So, my dear... Would you allow me for a dance?” He winked, smile spreading even more as he offered you a hand, which you took with a huffed laugh.
“Why, of course, milord.” He laughed unabashedly at your answer, quickly pulling you to the place where the people made a makeshift dancing ground, hands smoothly settling onto your waist.
It was nothing planned, just twirling and moving around as you heard the hero ramble about something you could barely focus on while you watched his pretty smile. It seemed however that he noticed how your mind was elsewhere when he asked you something and you made no move to answer.
“You're really pretty, Link.” The words topppled out without as much as a second thought, and his face reddened comically.
He looked around as if searching for another one named Link, and while there were at least ten other around who shared his name, none were in the least interested in the little shenanigans the both of you were up to.
A proud grin spread over his features as soon as you nodded when he pointed at himself in question, his warm cheeks looking like it would rip at any second if it stretched any further.
“Golly! The prettiest?” He asked and you laughed, lightly tapping at his shoulder.
“Don't push it, hero.” You returned, grin as wide as his.
The rhythm of the music changed to something more cheerful and the pairs were exchanged, your body twisting until you met with the girl that was previously dancing with Courage, her hands tangling with yours as the both of you swung around the makeshift ballroom cheerfully. With a single glance you could see both of the heroes dancing with each other, face plastered with disgust while they bickered with each other, even if they didn't release the other hand.
The moment it had come for the couples to switch back, Koridai swiftly got your hands again, his face leaning closer to yours with a soft glare.
“If I'm not the prettiest, then who is it?” His voice was demanding, even with the lilt of a joke permeating it.
You hummed in thoughts, eyes flitting to the side with a devilish glint as your eyes crossed with Courage's. When Koridai noticed your line of sight he gasped dramatically, hands almost falling from yours, if you hadn't gripped it tighter the moment he pulled back.
“Don't you dare!” He hush shouted, eyes thinning, which only made you laugh more.
“Oh please, darling, I have to be honest after all.” You made a move as if you were getting farther from him, but the moment he stepped closer to you you moved right back to him, faces now only inches away. “Prettiest or not, you are the one I like the most.”
You smiled fondly, giving him a quick kiss on the cheeks, then unraveling from his touch and going out of the dance hall, watching from the corner of your eyes as the blonde stumbled over his own words, the blush creeping from his neck to his ears.
He followed you to the stairs, almost tripping over his own feet a few times and you laughed when he invited himself to your room, taking up your bed space as he opened his arms for you to cuddle with him, which you promptly took.
“So... who is the prettiest? Ain't no way it is Courage.” He pushed yet again.
“I thought we were already past it?” You rebuked.
“'Am not. Now spit it out.” He insisted yet again.
“You may not like it, but since you insist so much...” You drawled, getting closer to his ears which twitched at the contact of your hot breath. “It's Wolfie.”
An ear piercing "what" made you wince as he sat up, now looking up at you incredulously.
“I lost my place to a dog? No way, this isn't fair!” His arms encaged you in the bed, to which you only pulled him back to lay down, this time his weight flopping into you.
He continued whining for a few more minutes, but sleep naturally overtook his body as you ran your fingers through his hair, his breath coming out in short puffs, making you smile to yourself.
“Rest well, pretty boy.” You placed a soft kiss at the top of his head, watching his frown unfurl into a dumb smile.

Changing Fate, Creating Destiny - LOZ TOTK Isekai
1 2 3 4 (This is Part 4)
Tumblr media
Zelda leaned against the railing of the library’s upper level, trying to stifle her giggles as she watched the absurdly amusing scene below. Adria, barefoot and darting around like a shadow, was clearly trying to avoid Ganondorf. The Chieftain, however, seemed utterly oblivious to the fact that his pursuit was anything but subtle.
From her vantage point, Zelda could see the whole scene unfold, and it was a masterclass in both evasion and frustration. Adria was moving gracefully between rows of shelves, her small frame slipping between patrons, her eyes scanning her surroundings with a blend of concentration and... panic? Zelda wasn’t sure whether Adria was actually scared or simply trying to avoid an awkward confrontation. Either way, her skill at dodging Ganondorf was commendable.
"Does he seriously think this is working?" Zelda whispered with a grin, glancing at Kotake and Koume beside her.
Kotake shook her head in disbelief. "He’s hopeless."
Koume, equally amused, couldn't stop the chuckle that left her. "We taught him better than this. He’s acting like a lovesick fool."
Adria’s barefoot tactic had worked wonders so far. The soft thud of her shoes would have given her away, but without them, she moved silently, evading Ganondorf’s sharp eyes and ears. Zelda pressed her hand to her mouth, struggling to contain her laughter. The whole situation was ridiculous, but in the best possible way.
Ganondorf, on the other hand, was far too focused to notice the not-completely-quiet audience above. His brow furrowed as he moved through the library, determined to find Adria. Every time he thought he was getting close, she’d disappear like smoke, leaving him even more frustrated.
"Kotake, Koume," Zelda whispered, still barely containing her mirth, "I think Adria could be an excellent spy for Hyrule if this whole sage thing doesn’t work out."
This time Kotake chuckled. "We might have to borrow her for the Gerudo at this rate."
"I doubt even we could have trained someone this quick to evade a Gerudo Chieftain," Koume muttered, a touch of pride in her voice, though aimed at Adria's cleverness. "And if Ganondorf can't corner her, it’s his own fault. He’s losing to an untrained Hyrulean woman."
Zelda’s eyes sparkled with amusement, but her attention was caught by Adria, who had just spotted Ganondorf changing his path. With an expression that screamed “desperation mixed with genius,” Adria suddenly pulled off one of her shoes and threw it across the library.
The shoe landed with a soft thud several shelves away, causing a few patrons to look around in confusion. Ganondorf, however, froze mid-step, his eyes snapping toward the source of the noise. Without hesitation, he turned and strode in that direction, clearly convinced that he was closing in on his elusive target.
Adria, on the other hand, seized her chance. With the finesse of someone who had done this far too often, she slipped behind a surprised patron, scooted toward the door, and made her escape without so much as a glance back.
Zelda couldn't hold it in any longer. A soft but delighted laugh escaped her lips as she watched Adria disappear into the hallway. “Did she really just throw her shoe to get away from him?” she whispered in amazement, her shoulders shaking with laughter.
Kotake and Koume were equally astonished. Kotake muttered something under her breath about "extra training" for Ganondorf, while Koume rubbed her forehead in disbelief. “Our Chieftain... the man who’s supposed to lead us all... tricked by a shoe,” she grumbled.
Zelda was practically wheezing at this point, her eyes misting with tears of laughter as Kotake and Koume began seriously debating how to increase Ganondorf’s training in both stealth and dealing with women. “We’ll make him climb Lynel Mountain twice for this,” Kotake declared with a scowl, though her voice still carried amusement. "He will be blind folded the second time, mark my words."
As the trio peered down, Zelda caught sight of Ganondorf standing in the middle of the library, Adria’s discarded shoe now in his hand. His expression was a mix of frustration and, oddly enough, a bit of admiration. Even from this distance, Zelda could see the faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
“He’s impressed,” Koume remarked dryly. “He may not admit it right now, but he’s definitely impressed.”
Zelda bit her lip, struggling to suppress another fit of laughter as she watched the towering Chieftain turn the shoe over in his hand. “Of course he is,” she murmured. “How could he not be?”
Ganondorf, however, wasn’t one to give up easily. His brows furrowed once more, and he scanned the area as if trying to calculate Adria’s next move. But with only her shoe as a clue, he was left with nothing but the sting of his own defeat for the day.
Zelda sighed, leaning back against the railing, still smiling. "Adria’s got him wrapped around her little finger, doesn’t she?"
Kotake smirked. "Indeed. He just hasn’t realized it yet."
As Ganondorf finally turned and left the library, still clutching Adria’s shoe like a trophy, Zelda couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy for him. The poor man didn’t stand a chance against Adria’s cunning, and now, it seemed, he was even more determined than ever to win her over.
But for now, the morning belonged to Adria. And Zelda couldn’t wait to tease her about it later.

Hi my friend sent me the request you did for them. And I love it so much
Can I request yandere gagons for yandere links playtonic x baby dragon's female reader ( been playing tears of the kingdom. And you can ride and climb the dragons.)
Like the found the little reader coming out of her egg and is kinda different then the other dragons she More like a naga dragon looking one but is to cute
Please and thank you ( I didn't know if you do ganondorf's so I put links on there to if you can't do the ganondorf s have a great day
Oot Ganondorf was a powerful sorcerer who was born to the Geurdo and raised by two witches. He has stolen from everyone and knows no bounds and murdered people, nothing can or will stand in his way. When he first finds your egg he's more confused with what's inside. Will you even hatch?
He doesn't know the power he holds but he can’t tell from the moment he sees your egg that you're his. The rare object is his birthright. In his eyes and no one was going to stop him from keeping it.
After some research he found out he came across a rare dragon egg. One that hadn't been seen in centuries. Despite it being such a rare gift the limits and knowledge on you were limited. He had no clue what to think, what you could or would do, or even how to raise you. He thought about passing you along to someone else to raise but as he kept you close and spent more time with you the two of you began to imprint on each other.
He brought you with him to Hyrule as he swore allegiance and he often rants to your egg about news and how the days pass. His plots and schemes remain his to know about but he loves to just talk to you. Once you hatch it's after the young hero emerges from the woods but before he faces or challenges Link.
The serpent-like creature was too small and weak to care for itself. He took care of you. Keeping you close all the time (not that you would stand to be put down) he kept you with him hidden in his pockets. Sneaking your food during meetings. You ate fruits and meats most happily and he was glad to see you thrive even in these conditions. It would take awhile until you grew up but he had hoped it would be sooner rather than later. He had plans that needed to go underway soon.
Wind waker Ganondorf has this deeper character to him where he states his reasons for wanting to take over Hyrule is so he can give his people a better life. While i dont think this is actually the case, I think it stems more from the fact that he believes by some sort of bid he owns hyrule by right and can rule it better. What better way to take it all over than a dragon?
Flying through the air or swimming in the ocean either way will be a wonderful tool for conquering. At first when he finds the egg he assumes he'll use you like a tool the same way he does his bird. Once you hatch though he takes one look into those beady little eyes and realises, no… No, I can't do that to this creature. He does care for even his bird (he uses chickens hidden around the rocky shores of his fortress as enrichment and will throw the hideous creature people who cross him for food to hunt down)  but he can't think of you as a tool. Not even as a pet.
You're intelligent, far more so than he would ever expect and you've… What's the word? Tamed? Imprinted? Like the rito- eh it doesnt matter.
He doesn't know how to care for you but you're very smart and intuitively the both of you work it out. As you grow older and his plans start to grow bolder as he starts to kidnap the maidens. He keeps you by his side for this. Planning to keep you safe and by his side for his final fight. Talking to you and keeping you safe as you grow older.
Totk Ganondorf would have found you while planning to challenge Raru. Leaving his kingdom to swear fealty also meant being able to travel through hyrule proper and taking claim to whatever he figured he might need. He found you hidden away in some temple and was skewed with jealousy. Raru never did know what power he wielded and this was just another show of it. Items of rare and extravagant power are best suited to those that would use them.
This man is tainted with hate and the moment he sees the egg he has his claws in you. Planning for what he'll do once you wake up. A dragon is a terrible thing to waste. He keeps you warm with blankets and hides you until he's back home. You sit still until it's time for you to hatch and he trusts few with the task of guarding you.
You're a very sweet dragon in comparison to his cool exterior.  He only allows you to circle his keep and to go no further than that, lest you be discovered before he can put his plans into motion. When he goes to kill Sonia and enact his revenge he takes you with him. Hiding you in the room he killed the queen in so you may witness his rise as king in front of zelda and everyone else.
When he manages to slip away you dash after him, remaining out of sight. He also takes you with him to the keep that was made his tomb. He knows that as an immortal dragon you're doomed to stay alive all those years without him, and it stops you from running off. He impressions you with him.
Unless you showed absolute fealty, keeping you here with him is a mercy. Otherwise he'd have to hunt you down and corrupt you with malice and neither of you would want that. He believes in you to stay there. Staying asleep until he wakes up himself. After damaging Link and ensuring Zelda is gone he goes underground with you by his side. Waiting for the fabled swordman to challenge him; he plans to fight with you by his side.

Twisted. Ganondorf x Zonai Princess Fic. Chapter 1: the tragic princess
Summary: Ganondorf notices the way the princess shies away from him and enacts a plan to manipulate her. Little does he know, Zonai are much more animalistic than the stories lead him to believe. You can't fight your instinct when it comes to your mate. Triggers for manipulation on ganondorf's part. Hypnosis/Mind Control magic. Murder. blood. But more, oh so more importantly...We do be fucking Ganondorf so like...snoo-snoo ;)
Tumblr media
Princess of Hyrule.
Daughter of Beautiful Sonia and Benevolent Rauru.
Daughter of Hylia's Grace.
Whore of the Demon King.
These were titles Y/N held long after the Imprisoning War. No one ever knew what had happened, only that she was twisted by the magic of the Demon King. It was a long-since-forgotten shame of the kingdom that even Zelda knew nothing of.
Y/N was a quiet young princess who wanted only to serve Hyrule, hoping to one day rule the same as her parents and keep peace among her people. While she had no hopes of marriage, there was no denying the connection she felt.
His amber eyes studied the royal family before locking onto her. Her heart jolted as he blinked, keeping a stone face as he quickly fixed his gaze down.
She took a slow breath as her body began to surge with some foreign sensation. It only spurred again when she'd been walking towards the gardens and saw him.
Y/N bowed gracefully as he reciprocated the gesture. "I've heard a lot of stories about you from the soldiers," She said, breaking the silence. "You're truly a great warrior?"
"It is how I earned my position to the throne," He said simply.
His voice sent a shudder through her body as she tilted her head. "Pardon if this seems presumptuous," She began, making him straighten. "I heard that a Gerudo male, born only every hundred years or so, was given the throne as his birthright."
Ganondorf nodded. "You are correct, but my people are of warriors. We wouldn't let just anyone rule unless they earned it. However, my upbringing is what sowed this outcome."
"Your birthright, but earned," she muttered, smiling. "I see. Thank you."
"Do you study Gerudo Culture?" he asked, watching her reactions. She was a young thing, likely only just entering adulthood, though small. She was about the same height as that cousin of hers, Zelda, who was in her twenties. Though he wondered if height meant anything in age regarding Hylians. She was so naive.
"As much as I can from here," she offered. "My duties keep me anchored to the castle and unable to do much else." She studied him for a moment before asking, "Lord Ganondorf, would you like to walk with me through the castle? Or even see the garden?"
"The Garden of Time, correct?" He asked, correcting his face to mask his eagerness. "I had heard stories of it. I never thought I'd see it myself."
Y/N smiled and nodded, turning before leading him. The king watched her as she walked. She was completely at ease, showing no fear or even a hint of awareness to his intentions. Her father was a fool in keeping him close to the castle, unaware that the Gerudo would manipulate his precious daughter. The moment she turned his back to him, her fate was sealed as his alone.
He followed her out to the garden, studying the sacred place. It wasn't anything extraordinary, he realized until he saw the Temple of Time looming over as the bells tolled lowly.
Ganondorf watched the constructs end their duties and return to their stations for the evening. The sun was dipping slowly down, sending a glow over the garden. Even he confessed the beauty of the place aloud, making the princess smile as she led him deeper in.
"The constructs work hard to maintain it, but the magic training does help," she confessed. Upon his blink, she tucked her hair behind her long ear. "The garden is sacred because it has more of a connection to our goddess, Hylia. At least, that's what my mother tells me often."
Ganondorf watched her lift her hand, as though cupping water as a small orb of light flickered into her palm before vanishing.
"You need to master it still," He realized, earning a nod. "Perhaps, I can help. Magic is rather difficult to learn."
"I'm aware," She sighed softly before smiling up at him. "Any advice at this point is welcomed," She chuckled. "I know I'll get it eventually but it helps learning from others that use it."
He nodded and looked around. "A private place to sit?" He asked her, earning a nod before he was led to a quiet area in the back of the garden.
The constructs were humming idly in their stations, waiting for the morning bells as they found a small pavilion to sit at. Or at least it was small with Ganondorf inside it.
Y/N giggled as she'd let him sit first, getting comfortable before humming and sitting beside him. He had blinked at her closeness, studying her flushed face as they spoke.
This princess was infatuated with him, he realized. His confirmation was the soft purr that rumbled in her throat when he cupped her hands in his, seeing how small she was in comparison to him.
"Is something wrong, Princess?" He asked softly. He was practically cackling at the flushed look as she ripped away from him like he was a flame and she were a parchment. "Princess Y/N?" He asked again.
Her heart hammered as he carefully took her hand again. Everything in her body was screaming with joy as she tried to understand why she was suddenly flustered by his touch.
The sun dipped below the trees, concealing them as he asked, "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine. Just uh…" She cleared her throat. "I should get back."
"Not until you tell me the truth," he insisted. "You're…purring? I think you enjoy my touch, but don't know what to do."
Y/N gulped thickly as his thumb pressed along the inside of her palm, making her heart skip as she took in the warmth of his skin. "I-I know–" She cleared her throat again. "I know why it's happening. It's just…a strange feeling."
"Then follow your instincts," he said softly, leaning closer. Her heart hammered as his eyes darted to her lips before locking with hers. "You have more power than I do here."
With that, Y/N was lost as she gave into her instincts and kissed him, damning her spirit to never find peace again as his hands quickly found her waist to pull her in.

Birdsong
Legend knows that Marin is gone. He knows he will never see her again. But sometimes he has moments where he can still feel her around. And maybe that's enough for now.
Hello! This is my first time writing something for Linked Universe!
I am very new to Legend of Zelda as a whole, but I have been loving what I've experienced so far. I'm almost done with Link's Awakening (I watched the Game Grumps play the Switch remake a while back, but I'm finally playing the Gameboy Colour version for myself!) and I love Marin so much... I completely understand why Legend would have trauma about her loss.
I know that the ending of Link's Awakening at least heavily implies that Marin's spirit became a seagull, so this story can either be read as existing under the interpretation that she didn't, or that Marin's spirit lingers in other places as well, watching over her beloved Link. I really like the second option.
You can also read this over on AO3!
Legend knew he could never see her again.
She was gone, and he wasn’t stupid enough to hopelessly believe she could ever come back, but that didn’t change that there were moments when it felt like she was still around.
It was early morning, and the group was already moving, making their way through the dense forest despite the occasional yawns that echoed through the air from party members who might not have gotten enough sleep the night before. Every so often, someone would say something, and someone would respond, but it never led to a conversation. It was far too early for conversations.
The only sounds surrounding them were the calls and chirps of birds greeting the morning. It made walking through the forest while tired and still stiff from sleep feel actually somewhat peaceful.
And then the song started.
The sound of a bird gently singing, like a beautiful voice floating between the trees, making the peaceful atmosphere feel even more soft and relaxing.
It was Marin’s song.
Legend stopped dead in his tracks, unable to move for a moment. All he could do was listen to the bird singing, feeling a multitude of emotions rush through him. The others immediately noticed his sudden pause, and it was Sky who turned to cast a questioning and worried glance at him. “Is everything alright?”
It took a moment for him to be able to respond, but eventually Legend was able to nod, his voice coming out a bit shaky and unsure. “Yeah… Something just came over me. I’m okay. Let’s keep going.”
The group seemed hesitant, but continued to move, and Legend walked with them while continuing to listen to the birdsong, feeling his lips turn up into a small smile. That beautiful song that he remembered her singing so vividly, now being performed again by a twittering bird.
Legend knew he could never see her again. He knew she was gone, and that she was never coming back no matter how much he hoped she would someday.
But sometimes the world was kind enough to grant him a moment where he wondered if she still existed somehow, even if he would never be able to speak to her again or tell her how much he still cared for her. Her spirit still lingered, in the songs sung by birds, and the beauty of the nature that always surrounded him. Even in a Hyrule other than his own, that spirit remained.
And that thought was enough to give him some comfort.

Visitors From Another World Part 3
Tumblr media
Masterlist
Part 1 Part 2
Part three will include Time, Twilight and Warrior.
Content under the cut!
Time
Time was going to wage war against the gods- of this he was sure by now.
“I wonder where they are.” The young boy in front of him pokes and picks off a few leaves from the nearby bush. “My dad would be home sometime next week but grandma and Bubbah would be wondering where I am.”
“So... Link...” Wild has to pause a little, feeling the name sit strangely on his tongue. “You say that you’ve never left home like this before.”
He shakes his head. “I usually stay home with Grandma and my cousin, Zelda. But Bubbah left for a long time a while ago. They haven’t come home yet, so I should look for them too.”
“Do you know anything about Ganon...or Ganondorf?” Wind pokes his shoulder.
Time winces. Standing next to each other, it only shows how young they really are. Wind is still significantly older than the boy. He might be younger than he himself was when he first started.
Said boy shakes his head. “Who’s that?”
Many of the boys shift uncomfortably.
He notices and hums pensively before he tugs on Wind’s shirt. “Is he the one in charge of the monsters? Bubbah went to go fight them when they attacked. Is he a bad guy?”
“One of the worst.” Wind replies instantly. So you’re sibling went to fight them?”
He nods. “I got caught by a HUGE one! But then Bubbah stepped in and saved me. I got to stay home after that.”
“Sounds like you got lucky.” Legend runs his hand over his face.
“Well we’ll try to get you back home safe and sound, just as before, ok?” Time kneels to look him in the eye. “That way no one worries about you.”
The boy smiles and nods, entirely too trusting. “Ok!”
Something catches in the back of Time’s throat. He’s not sure what it is. This boy should be on his adventure by now. The youngest of them yet. But instead for the love they had for him, he had someone to take his place. No one knows if they’ll come back. He might be first to have escaped the worst of it.
Time reaches over and ruffles his hair. “We’ll make sure nothing happens to you, ok?”
“We’ll need to give him a name.” Four points out. “If we’re all named Link, we can’t exactly call him either.”
“Woah- you’re all named Link too?!” His jumps a little on his toes. It looks like there’s little stars in his eyes at the thought. “I thought I was the only one named Link!”
Time snorts. “It’s quite common actually.”
With a small hum, Time pokes his shoulder. “How about we just call you Lucky? That way no one gets confused when we’re trying to talk to one another.”
He giggles happily and juts his thumbs toward his chest. “I am pretty lucky.”
“Then it’s settled.” Time ruffles his hair one last time and stands again.
“This is going to be interesting.” Legend bites the inside of his cheek. “He doesn’t knw how to fight.”
“And he won’t learn.” Time mutters his breath. “Not if I can help it.”
“That doesn’t sound wise, Old Man.”
“He’s escaped fate enough as it is... I won’t plunge him any further.” Time turns to the group. “There are nine of us. Surely we can all look after one boy.”
Lucky tilts his head and grabs Time’s hand. Something about these people seem safe to him. So they can’t be all that bad. “Ready to go when you are!”
Something in Time softens even more. “Alright.” He turns to the others. “Let’s go.”
Twilight
“I am Lenora, daughter of Apollo.” The blade poked close to his throat as the young woman stared him down. She couldn’t be much younger than him, if at all. “Who are you and why am I here?”
Twilight can feel his heart beat in his chest as he eyes her. “I am Link... you are in Hyrule but I wouldn’t be able to tell you why.”
There’s a power in her blade, he can feel it. He goes to touch the edge of it and push it aside. Only for his finger to completely go through the blade as if it didn’t exist.
They both freeze.
Twilight does it again. And again. And again.
“Ok that’s enough.” She coughs and pulls her blade away, sheathing it on her back. “That clearly didn’t work as well as I had hoped.”
Twilight stands, dusting himself off. “Can I ask you one question before you go off again?”
“I really don’t think it would work a second time but ok.”
“Who’s Apollo?”
She freezes a second time.
“Is he some important figure? A king? Chief?” Twilight tries guessing. “You must be from really far away because I’ve never heard that name before-”
“He’s... a god.” She cuts him off. Twilight shuts up in an instant. “The god of music, youths, art, healing, the sun and light-... virtually everything?”
She sees that none of it is clicking for him. She deflates a little. “The one time I get to throw that title around and of course you don’t even know who he is.”
“Our goddess of light is Hylia.” Twilight answers for her. “Are you even from Hyrule?
“Never heard of her.” Lenora sighs. “I’ve never heard of this Hyrule eith- wait.”
Twilight waits.
“What did you say your name was again?”
“Link.”
A beat passes. Lenora takes a deep breath turning around to pull at her hair before she turns back around again, sticking her hand out. “I owe you an apology.”
“I doubt it, but I’ll take it.” Twilight takes her hand. “Does being a daughter of Apollo makes you a god too then?”
This could be quite dangerous for them if that was the case. Twilight didn’t exactly know the protocol here on how to deal with gods- but he had hoped that perhaps he could just treat her like he would Zelda and not get cursed in the process. He hopes her gods were just as forgiving as their own...or so he can imagine. He was never the spiritual type to begin with. He’s never felt so out of the loop.
“Good grief- no way!” She waves him off and his unvoiced fears. “I’m only half. I’m just as human as the rest of you but I have like powers and stuff. Nothing fancy. If anything it only gives us trouble. Getting hunted down by monsters since you’re young isn’t exactly a fair trade.”
“Monsters, huh?” Twilight tries to smile. “We have those here too. You should meet my traveling group, they probably more familiar experience with that than I do. Most started out younger than me.”
“Oh yeah.” She puts her hands on her hips. “Would they be able to help me get back home?”
“Doubt it.” Twilight explains. “But they would probably be able to explain what’s happen better than I can.”
“Great. More questions. Love that.” She rolls her eyes, walking past him.
Twilight follows her, putting his own hands behind his back. “I know the feeling.”
“Let me guess...End of the world?”
“Most likely.”
“Monsters coming from different realms and time periods?”
“You know it.”
“...I think we’re going to get along just fine.”
Warrior
Warrior didn’t know what to think about their new comer. They were opinionated and headstrong. Someone he thought he knew how to deal with- but Warrior wasn’t sure what to think of them. They’ve only been around for the span of a few days and even then he was already at his wits end
He pulled his shirt over his head, diving into the river to think and clear his head. It wasn’t often that he indulged himself with a swim, but with so many others keeping an eye out, he didn’t think there was any harm in it.
Beside him is another splash and Warrior has to bite off an earth shattering groan. He dips under the water in hopes to avoid coming in contact with whoever joined him but he needs breath sooner than he realizes.
Coming back up with a gasp, he shakes his head, freeing the water from his hair and wiping it away from his eyes.
“Hello Captain.”
“Yes, hello.” He looks up and screams. “Ah!”
Bare chested and unbothered, the woman in front of him keeps running the water through her hair now that it’s been let out of the daily up do. She stands there coming it with her fingers. “Is there a problem, sir?”
Warrior feel himself flush instantly and looks away to save face. “You’re a woman?”
“Always have been.” She shrugs, still unbothered. Then she pauses. “Did you not know?”
“No!”
“I never tried to hide it.”
“It’s harder to figure it out when you dress and act like a man.” He rubs his hands over his face. Differing opinions makes more sense now- but now Warrior begins to come to the conclusion that there’s getting out of this.
She seems to start taking offence. “And who was I supposed to act?”
“My god.” Warrior gasps, horrified. “I wrestled you!”
He turns around to say it to her face- only to turn right back around and cover his face again. His entire face has turned red by this point. It stretches from the tips of his ears to the base of his neck and travels all the way down his back until his body is a bright pink color.
A beat passes, letting Warrior struggle with his inner turmoil before the woman behind him starts to laugh.
“You did wrestle me. ...And lost.” She adds through her giggles.
“I don’t care about that.” Warrior whines. “I’m going back on land- you can just... I have no clue... keep doing what you were doing, I guess. I’ll let the others know not to bother you.”
“It’s not that bad.” She adds. “The soldiers back home didn’t have a choice. We get used to it.”
“I’d... rather let you keep some dignity- soldier or not.” He add, moving out of the water. He’s never been so happy to keep his trousers on. He can’t face her anymore. “Is this why they call you Mulan?”
“She was a hero who snuck into the army, pretending to be a man.” Mulan dips backwards, floating on her back against the water. “I got found out a lot sooner than she did but I was allowed to say because they couldn’t afford to kick me out. The General hated it, but eventually we came to see eye to eye.”
“I’ve never heard of that story.”
“I thought it was quite obvious.”
“Well its’s nOt.” Warrior shucks his shirt over his head, ignoring his voice crack.
“Are you going to tell the others?” She gets up suddenly and Warrior senses that there’s an underlying fear there.
He keeps his face to the ground as he talks to her. “No... I don’t know the laws of your land but our queen typically leads the army. It’s not unheard of to hear of women in the army. But we all have secrets. If you’re not going to come out and say it, then I’ll keep this to myself.”
She seems to relax, sinking into the water with a small smile. “Thank you.”
“Yes... well..” Warrior clears his throat. “I’ll get going then.”
To then walk directly into a tree.
He powerwalks away, ignoring the giggles he leaves behind. He’s got some reconfiguring to do before he can get anything else done.

I have fallen in love with your fairy Time fics and would love to read more about it. More fics or more ideas about it, anything you want to share would be lovely.
Whether you share anything more or not Thank you for sharing what you have so far. Don't forget to drink some water, and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Aaaahhhh I’M SO GLAD TO HEAR THAT
I waited to answer this cause you made my day and I wanted to give you a ficlet in return but my inspiration has yet to return from the war (alas finals). I do have a handful of fics I’m working on rn I just…can’t seem to finish them. So I’ll offer you some headcanons and thoughts instead!
I have a lot so I’ll just put them under the cut XD
Time’s mother was a fairy who left the forest to explore and fell for a mortal man she met during her travels. Like Hyrule, she could transform into a human whenever she wanted to and vice versa.
Time’s transformation is much like his mother’s. He can change at will. However, if he comes into direct contact with fae magic his body will automatically start to transform. If he doesn’t want this to happen he has to focus on funneling magic away from that particular ability, which is exhausting.
He feels even more comfortable in his fairy form than in his Hylian one. It makes him feel closer to Navi and the Kokiri.
Malon is the first — and for a long time only — person outside of the Kokiri to know Time’s secret. She thinks he’s absolutely adorable in that form…fae mischief and all. She loves her tiny chaos husband
Warriors found out that Time can transform during the war. Time — then Mask — turned into a fairy solely to fly up and tell off the Great Fairy who had the captain trapped in a bottle to her face. Surprisingly, she listened to him and set Warriors free
Time can heal people like most fairies can, but it isn’t his strong suit. While he can mend even severe wounds, it takes a lot of strength and concentration for him to do so. He usually conks out seconds later — something that causes him to only rely on this power as a last resort.
Time’s wings are a cross between the Luna Moth
Tumblr media
And a Crecopia Moth (the largest moth in North America!
Tumblr media
While I imagine Hyrule having powerful but small wings, Time’s are HUGE. And though they’re almost transparent (similar to the Luna Moth), they sport the same false eyes you see on the Crecopia. They freak people out when they look closer
I’m still undecided on the coloring of his wings. In my first fic I described them as green and pink (inspired by the Great Fairy mask from Majora’s Mask and his home in the forest). But now I’m pondering changing that to shades of blue and red FD style (with veins of gold). Idk I like the menacing air that would have.
Last but not least, Sky and Time actually get along better after he finds out Time’s secret (every boy eventually finds out; secrets are bound to get out somehow in a group of nosy heroes XD). He gets to see a side of Time he hasn’t before and Time realizes how deeply he can trust him. (You’ll know why when I write the fic hehe)

the mailman in LU? yeah. hurt no-comfort linguist reader somehow gets a letter from their world. contents of the letter could be up to you, or it could simply be the stereotypical notice that someone they cared for has died. really puts it into perspective that they’ve been gone for over 2 years (if you count the time they spent in BOTW’s world)
Oh my Hylia anon, thank you for this request, it really gets the juices flowing. And no comfort? Damn, the dark side is really calling for you, eh? This ficlet is here to ruin the Isekai!Reader inserts.
There is Hylian in this ficlet!
I'm making it extra dark by placing this on a time where the linguist reader is still NOT able to communicate so expressively with the Chain in Hylian.
This can still be read stand alone.
Realities of being an Isekai!Reader. Is that even a genre?
For anybody wondering, "The Power of Understanding" the Cheat Sheet is here, the main fic is here.
CW: Hurt/no comfort. Not proof-read, mention of death, dark basically. Maybe don't read it at night.
Ended up longer than I thought.
Ao3
The Void / The Power of Understanding Short Story
Spending time with your favorite heroes, hell, even being involved with them romantically to an extent, was amazing.
Of course, only if you didn't count the fact that you could get killed any time, attacked by a random monster and suffer a horrible death.
...Or the fact that you have been away from anybody you have ever known in your life, for over two years.
At some point, you accepted the fact that you were just going to be living the rest of your life humbly in Hateno, in your little cottage. Before that, it had been terrible for a while, right after the honeymoon stage ended. The depressive episodes, sobbing at night, the nightmares, the guilt. In the first year, you were barely able to function due to your grief. Even when Link and Zelda were there for you.
You felt guilty, even though it wasn't your fault that you had been thrown in there. You felt guilty that you enjoyed it sometimes, going for hikes in the morning, hanging out with Link, decorating your cottage, learning a new language, playing the scholar. You felt guilty you didn't try hard enough (if at all) to get back to your world. What could you have even done?
Then your mind had been occupied, busy with trying to build a life for yourself, trying to communicate with people in the post Calamity Hyrule. Then, you settled in, just started to have a new routine to your life. Time has passed fast, oh so fast. And these people didn't even have the same calendar system over here. You didn't even know when your birthday was in the Hylian calendar!
Later, you had been thrown into yet another world and met the rest of the Links. So much for settling in, huh.
You usually actively tried to push the thoughts of your loved ones in your world away. At some point, it became second nature to you. The world here was different enough, not a lot of reminders.
Except when you saw the Sailor with her sister... Or Rancher with his adopted family perhaps. The Old Man with his lovely wife Malon. You still pressed on.
_____
You just departed from the Lost Woods and a sense of rejuvenation courtesy of the swarm of fairies you came across, after the boys killed the huge moblin.
It was a bit before Wild's era, you were guessing. The existence of the Captain really confused the shit out of you. You assumed he was also on a merger timeline or something, like Wild.
Then, your attention was drawn to a lanky individual with an exceptionally prominent nose and a rather comical hat. Could that be the postman once more? The mystery of how he managed to consistently locate your group, deliver letters, and then depart as if it were the most ordinary task continued to boggle your mind. Yet, given that you had ventured across various dimensions more times than you could count, you opted not to dwell on it extensively.
You were more curious about how he was able to read all those different scripts from different eras in the first place. Or how Links could sometimes tell which one belonged to which hero. Not like some of them were that different...
"Hireulu!" he greeted your group, holding only one letter in his hand this time.
As lost in thought as you were, you couldn't have missed the next thing you heard:
"(Y/N) tiyu? Ti riemun nia kubela."
He... had a letter for you? The others also seemed a bit perplexed. Nobody in your era wrote letters that much anymore. You silently held up your hand. He gave the letter to you, and as the boys were trying to somehow talk to him, he already rushed away, shouting "Hilay su aduerin!" You smiled. You knew at this point that it meant "Goodbye" in a sense. "May Hylia protect you" was the literal translation of it.
Sounded almost similar to the story behind the phrase "Goodbye" in English. God be with you.
Seated by the roadside, you carefully examined the letter in your hands. Strangely, a wave of unease washed over you. It had been ages since you'd last encountered something written in Latin script that wasn't written by you.
While curiosity tugged at your thoughts, it also stirred memories you had long sought to bury, bringing forth a flood of thoughts you'd rather avoid.
Wild sat next to you, he had curious eyes as the script looked quite unfamiliar to him.
As you started reading the letter, the blood drained from your face. You were only in a few sentences in, yet you knew exactly what it meant, and who it was. You dropped the envelope to the floor, it got stuck in the grass.
No.
"We lost her. After three days in bed, on her fourth she became one with the earth."
More than two years ago now, when you were first whisked away from your world, she had only recently been diagnosed with a sinister disease that affected the communication between her brain cells, making her forget things. But she was okay. Even though the doctors said they were slowing it down significantly, the end was inevitable. She would end up forgetting the most basic body functions towards the end.
But she was okay.
She had been the most badass person you had ever known in your life.
She would ride horses and scare off the corrupt shepherds in her time. Even though she was denied education above basics, she had been a fierce advocate for it. She had always been a fierce, strong woman. She planned everything.
Including her death, it seemed.
You remembered how she would say she wouldn't want to be bedridden and taken care of for months on end. How she even bought a place in the graveyard around 10 years ago, which caused a huge family drama. She even told her children what to announce once she died. What to wear.
As you read the rest of the letter, tears were streaming from your cheeks, yet your expression was still neutral. You weren't sure if you deserved feeling sad.
Were you sad because you lost her? Or were you sad for your own parent who lost a parent? Were you sad for yourself because one day you would have to do it also for a parent? For a loved one? Or were you sad because once again you were reminded of the bitter reality of mortality? Or were you sad because you couldn't even bid her a proper farewell?
Even if you were still in your world, you weren’t sure if you could make it on time for her funeral anyway. According to the traditions you were raised with, it had to happen within 24 hours. You lived quite far away already, and this had been one of your primal fears.
Not being able to spend enough time with them, not being able to say farewell.
Wild (and everybody else) noticed the tears streaming down your cheeks, and said something as he put his hand on your shoulder, only lightly pulling you to him. You were frozen, you really weren’t in the mood to try to understand anything. You didn’t move a millimeter.
Everything came back, everything you tried to hold back. You wondered what they thought, did they think you were lost, kidnapped, dead? What about your partner? How were they doing? Your sister? All the other loved ones? How were they feeling?
Too much. It was too much. It was crashing down upon you. You were scared, the guilt was too heavy. Your vision was blurry. You were rocking yourself back and forth as you pulled your knees to your chest, mumbling to yourself. You held them always back, but it seemed like your defenses had finally given in. They broke. You broke.
You were in a void, where the only sound you could hear was your heart beating as if it was going to escape your chest and the screeching sound ringing in your ears. It was hard to breathe. You felt sick to your stomach. Your hands and feet felt as if ants were walking on them. Cold, but also too warm. You were shivering,
You couldn't hear the sound of the boys chattering, trying to figure out what to do. How some of them understood exactly what was going on, but for the moment how confused they were. The Rancher was mumbling something to your ear, something soothing maybe. Wild’s hand was still over your shoulder, but you did not feel it anymore.
The void was the only thing that embraced you.
You wailed in pain.
_______________________
The Sailor picked up the envelope from the ground noticing there was something sticking out of it. It was a... picture? Black and white.
It felt really brittled and old in his hand. It had some text he didn't understand. Two relatively young women were in it, smiling. To him, it looked like weird clothing, but they gave off a fancy air with how they posed.
One of them really looked like you.
He put it in his bag for now, to give it to you later.

💛 I Remember You 💛
Time Elapsed: 1 hour, 11 minutes
Program used: Ibis Paint X
Tumblr media
(This doodle is me coping with the Tears of the Kingdom trailer and pretending they aren't about to be traumatized more).
BotW/ToTK will forever be my favorite version of Zelink. They've been through a whole lot together, and seeing them reunited at the end of BoTW is so sweet (especially in the context of the diaries outside of the English translation)! Such a shame everyone's probably dead. Oh well, it was nice while it lasted...
I cannot express enough how agonizing it has been to wait for more news on TotK! So when I saw a Nintendo Direct was coming up, I was unable to focus on anything else. I knew we were bound to get info, but I was NOT READY FOR THIS
Everything about that trailer was so well done, it makes the wait for May seem even longer! A few thoughts I had personally:
1. Ganondorf is pretty decent casting. I'm admittedly surprised he doesn't sound hoarse or anything considering he's a reanimated corpse, but it's still menacing!
2. I'm convinced Ganondorf and Zelda are going to take the forms/powers of Demise and Hylia at this point with all these parallels...
3. POSSIBLE MORE RUNES MAKE ME SO EXCITED! We thought Link getting a motorcycle gave us too much power... Now we have cars and mechanical gliders.
4. It doesn't seem Zelda is getting damseled! That makes me so happy. I figured she wouldn't be playable (unfortunately), but it at least seems she'll have a presence throughout the story! Perhaps a Skyward Sword situation where she must go on a journey of her own? Maybe in the form of flashbacks to the previous Zelda from 10,000 years ago? If it goes with a SS route, maybe that leaves room for a playable Zelda in post-game.
5. All the monsters look stronger than before, and there are even new ones! I tried to see if those dino bird things matched up with any classic enemies, but they didn't seem to be so. Either way, they're awesome!
6. I can't wait to explore where all the characters are after a potential time skip. Zelda especially! She got so much character in BotW, and I am going to love seeing more of it!
7. If Zelda doesn't end up becoming Hylia, I'm also wondering if the previous Zelda ends up being revealed to be the same one (same with Link) due to time travel shenanigans like in Skyward Sword.
8. If Zelda and Link don't kiss or address Zelda's feelings for him at least once I will be very sad (but I'll love the game anyway).
9. I hope to see the cycle broken here. That seems to be where this is leading! It would be great to watch Zelda and Link finish off Demise's curse once and for all and finally have the peace Hyrule has been fighting to have for eons.
10. Hopefully Link's diary won't be lost in translation this time! Adding those little details like that made BotW even better than it already was.
11. LINK THREW THE MASTER SWORD ASIDE TO CATCH ZELDA I CAN'T- But poor Fi. Hope she's doing okay with the whole Malice infestation thing. This is a stretch, but perhaps there will be a return of Ghirahim or his sword form. That'd be cool.
12. It looks like there's potential for more old-school dungeons! With the Divine Beasts seemingly inactive, Link may have to travel through monster-ridden ruins to drive them out of Hyrule.
13. I'm excited to see details on the time between BotW and TotK, like how Zelda got her hair cut! It'll be nice to see which NPCs changed and which haven't (Beedle is probably the same and will be the same even as all of existence crumbles around him).
14. Maybe the memory mechanic will be implemented again by Link recalling his past life 10,000 years ago?
Alright, sorry for the ramblings here. I'm too excited. I have lots more thoughts, but I'll share them in the future. May 12 can't come fast enough!
Reblogging is fine, but please don't post this anywhere else without linking the original post. Thanks!

Scars left by Love
Day 7: Scars
AO3 link
They laid in bed together, snuggled close, enjoying each other’s company. Twilight was ecstatic to spend time with his love.
“Have you…” Twilight started.
Wild turned his head sleepily toward his fiancé. When he didn’t continue, Wild hummed a question.
“Have you… ever talked about the scars people left in your life?” Twilight finished.
Wild turned in their bed to face him. Twilight was face up staring at the ceiling like it would reveal the secrets of the universe.
“What do you mean?” Wild asked.
“People, like our adventures, leave us with pain. Scars, even. Do you know what I mean?”
“A little bit. Have you?”.
“Not really. I’ve thought about it, but never talked about it,” he turned to face Wild, “but I’d like to, with you, Wild.”
Wild had a comforting smile at the trust Twi was placing in him. He’s told him about his past, but he never really talked about how it affected him before.
“I… my village was really small and quiet. You know, you’ve seen it. There was this girl I liked, she was sweet, comfortable, so patient. More than I deserved, really.” Twilight reminisced. But his expression turned dark.
“But then there was a monster raid, Bulbins, they took her and all the other village kids, I ran after them into the woods, and into a wall of darkness. A hand-“ he reached his hand out above him for emphasis-“reached out of the wall, grabbed me, and pulled me in. All I remember after that was feeling more tired than ever before, then agony as my wolf shape took over for the first time. Then when I woke up I was in a cell, with Midna watching from the shadows.”
He paused, calming himself from the memory of terror and pain.
“She was- a piece of work, at first. She seemed selfish, self focused, and manipulative. Which. To be fair, she absolutely was manipulative. But her self centeredness was how she worried about her people. So I eventually understood it at least.”
He turned back to face Wild.
“But she opened up my own world to me. We escaped that prison below Hyrule castle. She got me home. I saved the Light Spirit of Faron Woods, they purged the darkness from me, and returned my body to me, with that green tunic and chainmail. It took so long to do what I set out to do. To save the kids of my village. Ilia had lost her memory, somehow, along the way. I wonder if that was a blessing in disguise. My entire adventure was about pushing me further out of my zone, out of my control. Having to do more and more ridiculous and treacherous things with Midna’s help, along most of the way.”
His breath hitched as Wild listened, cobalt blue meeting cerulean.
“Sometime along the way. Probably when Zant tried to kill her. I realized. I didn’t want her to die. I cared about her. She was important to me, by then. And feeling her clutch to me back, paler than I thought possible, and dying. Even as Dusk gave her life force to Midna, all I could feel was relief at Midna being better. It wasn’t- it wasn’t until she left that I realized. I loved her. And her leaving hurt, so damn much. I couldn’t stand it.”
Wild brought his hand up to Twilight's face, as tears pooled in his eyes, threatening to fall.
“You don’t have to keep going, Twi.”
Twilight smiled up at him, even as tears fell down, turned his face to kiss Wild’s palm.
“I want to, now. To show you how much you mean to me… I never thought I’d fall in love again. Ilia was the comforting girl back home, Midna was the girl that showed me the world with her sass and snark as I gawked like a tourist, while also fighting to not get flattened by any number of things. After Midna I didn’t expect to love again. Then I had those dreams as a Wolf, wandering an entire new world alongside you. And I didn’t realize it at the time, but it was the same. I fell for you, little by little. And then when, against all the odds, impossibly, we met again when the goddesses dropped me in front of a Talus, I never wanted to let you go again. Even before I realized I loved you, I still never wanted to let you go.”
Wild was tearing up a bit now, too, “I remember how handsome you looked, when you woke up at camp and looked up at me like I was the most important person you’ve ever seen, right then. I didn’t even get why, but it’s not a look you forget.”
“Goddesses, I made a fool of myself. I blame the concussion.” Twilight lamented, covering his face with his hands, the heavy mood dispelled for a moment.
“Blame whatever you want, that moment is living in my head forever.”
Twilight smiled under his hands, dropping them to see Wild still looking at him, smiling himself.
“It took way too long to realize what I was feeling was love…”
“But you figured it out. And so did I, luckily.” Wild added.
“Ugh, you were so much better about it, though.”
“Hey, you didn’t even know that was an option, give yourself some slack.”
“Do not remind me, Legend gave me shit for weeks.”
They both laughed at that, Wild remembering some of the truly awful jokes leveled at his then-boyfriend for his obliviousness.
“But, the important thing for me…” Twilight started again, “was that I loved you, and realizing you loved me back. The pure joy I felt right then, nothing else mattered. For weeks, I could just look at you and think ‘that’s my boyfriend’, and anything else that was wrong, exhaustion from a fight, boredom from a long walk, the soreness of a bruise, would vanish just by seeing your face, hearing your voice, or holding your hand… Midna left me with a scar over my heart that I never thought would heal. A scar that would just ache and burn, until it killed me inside.”
Wild’s smile faded from the idea he was hurting that much inside even when they first met. “But you saw me. A messed up, gawking weird though I was, literally dogged-” Wild chuckled at the terrible joke, “-and totally out of my world, and my element, and you helped me find a new reason. And it was good to help you again, too.”
“And finding love again…” Twilight took Wild’s hand, a hand that felt so familiar, but felt like electricity, even after all this time, “it was the most exciting adventure of all, and I’m so glad I got to share it with you, Wild. And I want it to be an adventure we share, for a long time.”
Twilight lifted his face to Wild’s hanging over his, and Wild brought his face down, their lips meeting in a gentle caress, and a loving embrace as they twined their hands together, enjoying each other, and the love they share.

Warning ahead of time (Post includes mention of death-- cremation and mortality. So proceed if you want to)
You know, I started to think about that death scene from 'The Player and The Dollmaker" post. It was the part where Time described burying the player and returning their stuff to their mother. That scene got me thinking of how I wouldn't want to be buried in Hyrule. Honestly, I know how breathtaking and fairytale like it can be but that wouldn't change my mind of where I want to die. I feel like that can be intertwined with Player as well. Even if they feel excited to be in one of their favorite video games with legendary heroes, it can start to wane on you. Missing aspects of you normal life and wondering about the changes happening at home start to affect you. Even though we might start to describe the Earth as a bad place, that there wasn't light in the darkness. The people we met, the families we have, and the achievements we have accomplished and will still drive us to live. Besides, it is a bit safer than Hyrule, where Player is always vulnerable to monsters, Dark Link, and even the people. As long as the Player can't fight back, they will have more fear and a higher possibility to die. I feel like it would start to seed into the Player's mind and make them think about their own mortality.
I say that they would take a couple of days just thinking. Whether it would be few or a lot, they start to think about their own (possibly eventual) death. The chain might notice that they aren't talkative at all. They shut down and take every moment to think of each scenario. Hyrule, Wind, and Wild might feel more worried about them than everyone else but there will still be that heaviness of what's causing to change. Hyrule might persuade you to talk about it with him or have small conversations about anything but the Player would be worn off and quiet. Gilda might even stay close to them but Player doesn't pay her any attention. They might not be active at all with Wind and might politely decline any activity he wants to do. In the case that he drags them regardless of what they say, Player just stays motionless and out of touch. Wild might notice that Player doesn't eat as much as they used to, considering that they leave behind food in their bowl. Stuff like this starts to get on everyone's radar but they aren't sure how to resolve it. Even if Player was a lot (talkative, cheerful, funny, slightly optimistic, loving, a riot, determined, wild, and annoying), they brought an atmosphere that made things a little better. I'm sure they have their own private meetings while the Player's sleeping to talk about what's going on. Some of them observed on desolate they are while others observed how they constantly write in a journal with strange symbols and constantly rewrite stuff as if editing it. They decide the best way to approach this situation is to wait for them to talk first.
Later, on a certain day, they decide to speak during the occasional meeting around the fire. They decide to speak once everything important is out of the way.
"There is something I'd like to say"
Everyone might be surprised that they spoke but quiet down anyways. This leaves room for the Player to speak but they appear hesitant with concerned eyes moving towards Wind.
"There might be a chance that I might die during this journey and I want to plan out how I want to be 'buried' ,or in the literal way, conserved."
"You can't be serious""Yeah, we can just heal all of your injuries with a potion or fairy"
They raise their hand to stop the interruption.
"I feel like anything can kill me at any point of this journey. I know that's the thing everyone keeps at the back of their head and fully acknowledge but I can't seem to get the thought that I might be sooner to die than all of you."
Their voice wavers and their eyes become watery. Hyrule and Wild gesture to move closer to comfort them and reassure them that they would rather die than let that happen but Player moves away. They fist their hand and breath in and out.
"I'm not immune to any of your diseases, I'm weaker and very uncoordinated to defend myself against anything or anybody, I'm dumb as a brick, and I'm no use to anybody. I'm just lucky I survived these few instances but, with things get more serious and dangerous, I can't ignore the fact that I will die."
A breeze carries by as no one knows what to say. Therefore, Player continues.
"If my body is intact, I want you to burn me and carry my ashes home. I know that might take a few days off from your journey but I refuse to be buried in any of your Hyrules. It isn't an insult to your homes but I want to die in my home. Give me to my mother and also here"
The rustle of paper catches their attention as the Player hands the note to Time. Warriors and Twilight peek over his shoulder as he sees it but they can't seem to make out what it says.
"It's nothing important. It's just my will-- the shit I have has to go somewhere." They chuckle but the atmosphere is too discouraging to save.
"Money (hardly anything) stays with my mother, toys to younger cousins, consoles go to the older cousins, and everything else will get donated."
They slowly turn away from the group and head towards their bedroll. They stop a few inches away.
"if the case I get controlled or possessed, I want someone to kill me. I don't think I can live with myself if I hurt others in anyway."
As they turn their head slightly, they plant onto Legend.
"Preferably Legend. It would take a lot of weight out of him." With their hands thrown around mockingly, "he can finally end the evil witch that posed a threat to the group from the very beginning. The hero finally ending their reign of terror, cheer for his victory."
Dry laughter comes from them as they stare into his conflicted eyes. "You would want that, wouldn't you?"
No one knew how to respond as they settled into their bed and wished everyone a goodnight. The next day, Player went completely back to how they normally were but the chain still held discussion in the back of their mind.
(Man, I seriously went on a rant with this. But I really couldn't get it out of my head--although I'm not good with integrating the characters into this scenario--I just wanted to share my thoughts with you and everyone else.
I just thought of how important going back home is. With the area Player's in, their death rate is higher than anyone else. I just though that if I wanted to die, I would like to go home fully. It would upset my family but having that closure of being home will help them move on, especially our mother.
But I think that idea of having our preserved ashes addressed an item really got to me. You know how whenever you select or hover over an item, it's name appears normal and sometimes playful. They are presented lively and have unique names that distinguish them from the rest of the items. I imagines one of the boys carrying our ash box and just [NAME] appears. No lively or ridiculous name. Just a morbid box of your friend's ashes in your inventory. Can't imagine the weight of seeing that with the rest of your items. Just being reminded of their failure and constantly carrying that reminder like Atlas carrying the Earth (maybe an exasperation but maybe close to a boulder). It might get to some of them, especially Hyrule, considering how he freaked out in that specific post.
But yeah, I just wanted to share that thought, sorry if it was too much. But I really like your content and I just wanted to give my through on a certain scenario. Thanks for viewing it)
Okay so this hurt A LOT
But God I loved this so much too- it's such a good and real idea too. Hyrule is amazing, Hyrule is beautiful and magical but at the end of the day Hyrule is not Earth. Hyrule is not Player's home. Why would they want to be buried in such a place? It only makes sense to want to be returned home after everything was done.
ALSO THE INVENTROY ASH BOX 😭😭😭😭😭 God just imagine the blank look on the Link's face, yet the complete hurt in his eyes having to carry such a thing

Dawn to Dusk: 1. Dawn
Tumblr media
AO3 | Written for @zelinktines24 #12: dawn. Reblogs appreciated if you enjoy :) Fandom: Twilight Princess
Ship: Link/Zelda
Rating: G
Summary: It is dawn when she leaves, but it is dusk when she brings them together.
Read below or on AO3.
It was dawn when she left them.
It was dawn when Link and Zelda, Hero and Princess, stood before the shattered Mirror of Twilight whose scattered shards reflected the rays of the morning sun.
It was dawn. To calm herself, Zelda focused only on this. She felt, more keenly than she liked, the Hero’s gaze on her, questioning, wondering, waiting. Waiting for her to say something, waiting for an order to obey much like he obeyed Midna. But she was not her—she was just Zelda, Princess of Hyrule, lost and wondering just as much as him.
The Hero’s name was Link. She knew this, so why was it such a fleeting memory?
”Link,” she spoke, cementing it in her mind, “what do you propose we do now?”
Link blinked at her, once, then twice, and then turned to face the empty curve where the mirror once used to sit. “The desert is hot during the day,” he finally said, “so we should wait until night.”
”Very well.”
Maybe it was fleeting because she, at one point, had been Midna. Her life force kept Midna’s heart beating, and so she witnessed everything. Now Midna was gone, and the memories of the Twilight Princess were no longer Princess Zelda’s.
Midna was gone. The more she focused on this, the more unraveled she became.
A gentle hand grazed her upper arm, and there she found Link. Midna may be gone, but he wasn’t.
”We should go inside, Princess,” he said. “It will be cooler there.”
”Of course.” She let him lead the way, fighting the urge to walk in front of him as she thought her duty, much like the time she stood before Zant and allowed her sword to fall even as she stood behind her legions of soldiers.
The Arbiter’s Grounds was not an ideal place to take refuge, dark and smelling of rot and other unpleasant things, but it provided immense shade and protection from the sandstorms that would surely rage outside. Zelda knew of this place and the death it had wrought for centuries, sanctioned by her blood, and perhaps she deserved to be sentenced there too. Punishment for her incapabilities.
They found a dark corner tucked far away in the prison where they set up camp. Link found some pieces of broken wood and managed to ignite them for light. The lanterns in the Grounds were dim and insufficient, and it was just chilly enough that a flame wouldn’t hurt. Zelda sat by their small fire while Link cleared the surroundings of debris: loose bricks, rodent droppings, bones.
”I’m quite fine, Link,” she said after a few moments of him doing this. “Trying to clean in a place like this is futile.”
”Sorry.”
He sat down across from her on the other side of the flame, a wall that burned between them and would scorn whatever hand or tongue dared to reach out to the other. The silence was awkward, filled only by the occasional dripping of a leak in the ceiling or an ominous groan that came from seemingly nowhere. It was different from the quiet of the desert, where at least they had a vast landscape to look at. Here, there were only moldy walls and corpses under foot.
”Link,” she called after a moment, voice arching over the fire, “or should I call you Hero?”
He shifted uncomfortably, refusing to make eye contact like the fire would scorn his eyes for reaching through, too. “Link.”
”Alright, Link,” she said, tasting the name on her tongue once more. Link. Link. “Tell me about where you’re from.”
He tilted his head quizzically, like a dog—like a wolf. “I don’t know what to say.”
”What’s it like? The weather, the crops? How do you spend your days?”
What a strange thing to ask in a strange place like this. Link stared at the ceiling for a moment before answering.
”It’s always sunny,” he said, “and not too hot in the summer. We grow a lot of pumpkins, and I herded goats on the ranch. I wake up early to do that, and then I help out around the village where it’s needed, watch the kids… those kinds of things.”
”Ordonian pumpkins are some of the best,” Zelda smiled. “My favorite dish growing up was pumpkin soup.”
”I had to make a soup for the yetis in the mountains once.” Link nudged the fire with a plank. “They liked the pumpkins too.” Another silence, but this time, less awkward. “There’s a small creek that runs through the village. I go fishing with Rusl there, and at sunset we’d have a fish fry with the whole village.”
There’s something about that word: sunset. Something that had, a long time ago, been meaningless to her; simply a wash of colors in the sky signaling it was time to rest. Now it meant the coming twilight, that time when the lands of light and darkness were connected by that thin, dim thread. Now it meant that she would never go to bed without thinking of her.
“A fish fry?” Zelda asked instead. “I’ve never heard of such a thing.”
“The whole village gathers after we’ve done our day of fishing, and Rusl and some of the others cook all these buckets of fish we caught and we have a feast. Happens a lot in the summer.”
There was something charming about the way his eyes lit up when he spoke about his village, his home.
“What other parties do you have?” Zelda asked. “We had balls at the castle, or private parties, but we never cooked together.”
Link explained to her how they celebrated the summer and winter solstices, and when there was a plentiful harvest they indulged in a feast of all kinds of pumpkin foods. The whole village was always involved. He had never spoken so much in his life. Link said that on summer nights when the sky was clear, they’d have great bonfires. He would sneak away to gaze at the stars from the ranch, which were unblemished, sparkling and twinkling bright. He waved his hand across the dusty air and for a second Zelda truly believed there were stars on the ceiling. The ground was grassy and soft, the breeze smooth, owls hooting.
”Midna used to say—“ but he stopped, lowering his eager hand and casting his gaze elsewhere, a shadow lidding his eyes. Midna.
The illusion around her shattered, and there were bones and rotting corpses at her side and spiders on the ceiling and specks of microscopic debris floating through the air. The fire flickering before them was small, consisting of a couple planks and the hope that Link could even start it.
“When do you think we’ll depart?” Zelda wondered, not really expecting an answer.
“Not soon. The heat will kill us.” The Hero’s sentences were short again, lacking any of the character or spark he had when speaking about Ordon.
That word–kill. The idea, the possibility, that she could end up like one of the souls around her, stuck in purgatory or long gone, sent a shiver down her spine. At one point she had become one without hesitation. It was not a possibility then. It had been a reality. But this time it felt much more tangible, much more permanent. To think that one day, inevitably, she would also be a pile of bones on the ground. That one day, just like Midna, she would be gone and she would never see tomorrow. It was possible her and this hero wouldn’t even make it out of the desert, that they’d take too long in the night and the sun would trap them in its burning snare and they’d both be gone and the twilight that plagued Hyrule, and the light that defeated it, would be forgotten.
But outside it was dawn, and soon it would be tomorrow.
