list of expectations for the upcoming dev conference / livestream bc i can't sleep:

- anniversary news is almost guaranteed. batter will likely be getting one of the s-tiers, but it's not confirmed if it'll be in the shop or the essence. this may also be when undead gets his new skin, but i'm much less confident on that. four skins will be revealed: the s- and a-tiers from the essence, and the s-tier that'll be in the shop. the corresponding event will also be teased / discussed.

- once / backdrift and ivory tower skin news. definitely one once skin and at least one ivory tower skin (possibly two). this could be when we get the hunter ivory tower skin that was announced forever ago.

- no new character news. sorry, but they already have two characters waiting to be released (as i believe faro lady will already be available in-game by the date the livestream is planned for), and adding a third while giving nothing on the two already revealed would just overhype fans. if they do, for some reason, reveal a new character, it will likely be the acrobat identity switch they've been teasing lately.

- speaking of new characters, i highly doubt goatman's essence will be revealed; it's too early in the season to reveal the third essence. again, any essence news will likely be tied to the anniversary. i'd be happy to be proven wrong, though.

- we'll probably be getting news on collabs. my safest bet is news on the collaboration with the arthur conan doyle estate, which will reveal the skins (and other in-game content) we'll be getting; novelist is almost definitely getting a skin. it feels a bit early to reveal news on the return of the persona 5 collab, but it's possible. other new collabs could be revealed too.

- no logic path, coa, deduction star, nymph awards, or rank accessory news. it's too early in the season for lp and accessory news, and FAR too early in the year for ds, nymph, and coa news. if you want an estimation on those last three: october at the earliest for ds news, november for nymph, and december for coa. i can't give an estimate on lp or accessories as those vary depending on when the current season ends.

- new maps, gamemodes, story updates, etc. will at least be touched on. my best guess is a possible release date for mercenary's diaries and an update on the murder mystery gamemode that was revealed during coa7.

- a new truth & inference offline package is possible but i wouldn't hold my breath considering that we got wu chang's relatively recently.

- possible news on the idv-es skins, either an in-game showcase or a reveal of their hunter. i'm hoping they clear up the confusion around the designs because a lot of us are still a little unsure about them, especially naib's.

- news on the "mysterious event" announced on the june calendar, if it isn't covered by any of the above points.

and that's about it!! this is mostly based on my own experience waking up far too early to catch these streams (haven't missed a single one since i learned about 'em lmao) and what i've come to expect from them. i may be completely off the mark here but it's what i know of these streams. i may end up liveblogging these announcements; i'll make a sideblog for it and if you want to hear about the news right after it's revealed, feel free to follow me there!! 3. What fandoms do you write for? at the moment, just 9-1-1, although i have a feeling as soon as i rewatch the sandman i’ll feel a renewed urge to write in that fandom too.

What are your top 5 fics by kudos? let me in before the rainy season starts again (7337) i want to believe (3878) colliding with forever when you speak (3191) clouds the size of oceans outside and above our heads (3186) the symphony of what we are (773) (all five of these are for the sandman, btw. all dreamling.)

5. Do you respond to comments? Why? Why not? so the thing is that i want to be the kind of person who responds to every comment, but they build up and then thinking about answering them makes me anxious so i avoid them, so more build up, so i get more anxious … it’s a whole thing. and i try not to get to the point where my hobbies feel like assignments? so.

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? we were warm until we went to hell, with characters from star trek (2009) in the universe of repo! the genetic opera. it’s, uh. about as cheerful as the source material. (... i.e., major character death.)

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? i’m dying not to hurt you, a haven fic in which i said “fuck that” to the MCD in the penultimate episode, and in which i got the ot3 from the show together. finally.

8. Do you get hate on fics? not so far (fingers crossed).

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? until a few months ago the answer to this question was “no”, but then i … started writing smut. apparently. it’s all been bucktommy so far (and probably will continue to be, tbh).

What's the craziest one you've ever written? well considering the answer to #6 is a crossover …. anyway. not my only crossover. i think maybe the "craziest", just in terms of which media were getting mixed, is the sound of her wings -- a crossover between mash and the sandman (the comic series; this fic was written in 2006).

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? no (again, fingers crossed).

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? i have not!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? no, although i help people brainstorm sometimes (or get help brainstorming). also, it's not quite fics, but i was in a bunch of text-based RPGs on LJ and DW in the long long ago.

14. What's your all time favorite ship? what a horrifying question to ask, thanks! uh. right now, probably bucktommy; ask me again in a year and that answer might change.

What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? i have concerns about finishing the thing i'm calling "the frequency AU", solely because it's. a lot of plot. and i have a severe tendency to get myself bogged down in details that literally nobody else gives a shit about, to the point where all writing ceases. (... actually, i'll include "hob gadling vs the wraith" here too, for the same reason.)

16. What are your writing strengths? i'm pretty good at getting characters' voices right, i think, both out loud and in their heads (i write almost exclusively third-person limited).

17. What are your writing weaknesses? scene transitions. establishing scenes, so that the thing i have pictured in my head that i'm trying to get into words is accurately conveyed to other people in a way that i don't leave a big piece of information out. where to end scenes.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? hasn't really come up for me actually? i feel like if it ever did i'd just end up going the "italicized words, and then "in [language]" after the italics" route, both for my sake and the sake of the readers.

Favorite fics you've written? this one's a really tough call actually! i think probably a cross between we'll dance this fading life away (stargate sg-1) and the physics of this second sight has led me here (the librarians), because i was trying to write the both of them for such a long time and i'm really happy (and proud of myself, honestly) that i managed to finish them both.

So yeah, about what's grown to be called a Truman show theory, and I cannot stop making it clear, me critically poking at it is not me hating it especially if Ruby's story ends up throwing shade providing metatextual insight on the mystery baby extravaganza of 2010s (am I the only one who thought that Splice looks like Rey?).

But the problem is, how far would the revelation go? Is it just the endgame for the season? Did it start when Fourteen invoked a superstition at the end of the universe, as the text implies? Or does it go further back, as the Newton and apple story is unreal, too (HOT TAKE: THEY'RE IN VOLTAIRE'S BRAIN. THE CRITICISM OF ORGANISED RELIGIOM CONFIRMS THAT). Or was it already there when Fourteen regenerated in new clothes (he does talk of "canon" in the Dalek Mini-sode)? All of this is just digging deeper into figuring out just how clever the Cave is. But let's dig even deeper, shall we?

Seventh era is also when we get a hint there's a Doctor Who show on BBC.

I'm not going to go through every single time DW has leaned into a made up version of events (wonder if the Doctor ever changed their mind about Mao Zedong, though), but you're getting the drift, but there is one last point to be made.

Nero didn't start the great fire of Rome. The eternal city was a densely packed stack of wood and would go up in flames quite often, though the one from 64 CE was a particularly nasty one and putting it out could have been coordinated better. Still, the idea Nero intentionally started it is 100% made up.

Why should this be important? Well, The Romans are from the 2nd season of Classic Who, from 1965. While we're at it, season 1 historicals are also based more on simplified ideas about Marco Polo, the reign of terror, or Aztec human sacrifices (Barbara Wright Victorious, my love) than true facts (probably because documentary about everyday life of the Aztecs would work better as a way to get children to sleep than to get them hooked on history), but that's more a matter of how than what. In case you want to somehow reconcile this via the Pantheon, then the Toymaker first appeared in season 3, and that after the Doctor visited the Trojan war and Vicki stayed there with Troilus as actually faithful Cressida.

So. The thing about Truman show revelation is. It's either groundbreaking on a last episode ever, goodbye yellow brick road, level, or not meaningful at all. I just can't see it work as a seasonal endgame, because if the episode from 2023 is in unreality, then so is the one from 1965. Just, where do you go from here? It's either waking up in the crude reality or. y'know. acknowledging the convention, which is what the Truman show theory kinda set out to negate in the first place.

Again, I genuinely want to discuss! I myself am never sure if hot take posts are open to discussion, which is why I made a separate post, so I want to make it clear, I want to have the holes in my own rambling explained!

Alright. Time to rant about why I HATE the MCD/MyS lore cross in When Angels Fall.

NOTE; this is not be saying it shouldn’t have been done (even if I believe it would have been better a separate thing-). It is a good idea, the problem here is the execution. Also note. These are my opinions, I could be wrong about some, I haven’t watched MyS in a hot minute. Here we go;

1) It’s far too short of a place to add it. It mainly just started with S4, and even then that’s less MCD lore and more something new for MyS. S5 there is none of them until the end leading into S6. If anything, Jessica should have had a S5 of both lore AND filler, or an extra season or side thing.

2) Somewhat lack of explanation. I get it; the exposition may piss some people right the fuck off. But there are other bitches that need that exposition. It’s me. I’m bitches. I straight up didn’t know Michael was the same Demon Warlock that is Travis’ father from MCD until one of my friends fuckin TOLD me when I asked. THIS YEAR. Granted there was a bit about the demon warlock, but like-…even just a lore recap video would have been nice. That leads me into the third point.

3) Michael. He just…confuses it. Michael/DW (Demon Warlock) is Travis’s father in MCD. But in MyS, he has supposedly been possessing his bloodline for ages. So…is Travis just his descendant renamed after his son? Is MyS a reincarnation business? Has Michael always been Terry? But then they wouldn’t have split. Then that begs the question; are they all reincarnations of their MCD selves? Did something happen and Irene changed the world to give them another chance? WHY DOES MICHAEL WANT TO DESTROY IRENE!?

3.5) Michael’s motives. WHY DOES HE WANT TO DESTROY IRENE!? WE DON’T KNOW SHIT! I’ve seen a theory that Michael is Enki, and something happened to cause him to become the DW and that would be REAL COOL and work for why he hates Irene. Maybe it’s something she caused or his memories were changed to think it was. But that’s. Not. Canon. And even if Jessica was PLANNING on revealing why or who he was, she’s effectively shot herself in the foot because she’s never gonna make another roleplay again. So yeah. Michael’s motives are annoying and for me, villains need a motive, however shit.

4) Alina. What the fuck was the point of her? Time travel? And if the reincarnation/descendant thing is actual, those wouldn’t technically be her parents?? What the fuck was the point?? WHY WAS ALINA FUCKING THERE!?

5) That weird fuckin- old guy. You guys know the one. The one that Michael kills. WHO WAS THAT!? Jessica. HONEY. You cannot do that. You cannot just make a new character and not explain them. You can argue they would have been introduced in MCD, but you cancelled S3 remember!? YOU STOPPED MAKING THE REWRITE REMEMBER!?

6) Is it reincarnation or is it descendants? Or both. If so…why don’t the others have the other relics? Why is it just this stupid Mary Sue bitch? I just-…UGH.

7) The Void. What was that? For fucks sake. Explain it. Please.

Long story short, the MCD/MyS correlation is ridiculous. If it was handled better, maybe a season in between 4 and 5, or something mini, maybe a fuckin video of Jessica explaining it all. But we will never get those, and she’s effectively shot herself in the foot considering I heavily doubt we’re ever getting roleplays again. This correlation could have worked if it were handled better, if it was not abandoned, if there was a video explaining it.

Again, I have not watched MyS in a long time. Especially When Angels Fall. So I could be wrong about a few of these. These are just my opinions on why I dislike the correlation with every fibre of my being. Thank you and farewell.

Um so even the word Sochi gives me an instant panic attack. I’m on the record as having difficulty watching the programs, knowing how hard that time was for these previous bbys who I just wanna protect from all evil. But I also recognise that without Sochi trauma we would not have had the GLORY that was Prince, Latch, SFTD and MR, aka the greatest sporting come back in the history of sport. Would Pyeongchang even have happened without the cluster leading up to Sochi? If it had all ended well there, they would either have retired for good OR continued on to the next Olympics and also won. Great, but also, same same. Without Sochi there wouldn’t have been the disillusionment, the time away, then realising they missed it and each other, working out how to do things differently, the rise of PC into the vacuum left by TS - and the subsequent (hilarious) narrative that TS couldn’t possibly beat them, that theory blown away by their total command of the ice rink when they returned, their complete BDE despite everything being against them. That majestic arc, the thing that sent me tumbling down into this rabbit hole, begins at Sochi. So - if you don’t want to lean in too heavily to Sochi to protect people (TS, me?!), or you don’t think it warrants the time, then that’s ok. But if you are looking for the grit in the oyster, the second Act plot twist that has people stamping their feet in a standing ovation by the end of the third Act, then THAT is Sochi.

Oh hell no the damn Sochi clusterfuck is getting the attention it deserves. I’m going to remain as objective as I can but the fact is the form was in the board for those Olympics:

-Systematic Russian doping

-The OBVIOUS fix in the ladies event

-any other events with fishy results

I don’t trust the US and Russia with anything and 70 years of history on all matters of geo politics leaves little to the imagination.. yes.. as inconsequential as an ice dance event seems.. the Olympics have always been and always will be a political tool- I don’t see that changing.

Of course TS, the humble darlings that they are maintain they were beaten fairly by DW.. I personally don’t agree with it- they are light years behind the artists that TS are- (DW are like a child’s pain by numbers kit, TS are TESSA AND SCOTT). I can’t speak on skating skills but they have never done it for me (I find them so monotonous) and despite what TS feel about esp The Seasons I adore both programs- they didn’t need some war horsey gimmick- they just DANCED.

Anyway. Yes I am covering Sochi in depth. I don’t feel like it’s ever been covered properly- only skimmed over and TS probed for comment about corruption but really I truly believed they never considered it/let it affect them/maintained they weren’t the best on those days 🙄🙄🙄. Therefore they can’t be the ones to recognise the very likely hood something fishy was up.

Sorry gonna rant for a sec: it’s not even THAT DW beat them.. it’s the way the scoring played out.. THAT MANY POINTS BEHIND?? A full 2 POINTS in each segment.. BULLSHIT, so I do find it totally plausible that DW may have eeked out a win without ‘tampering’ (I honestly don’t know how but since they had done it in the past) but not by that much with TS skating as well as they did. It was the exact same thing that happened with the ladies but in reverse: Make up a ‘deduction’ (in the body of the program) for TS, then overblow DW later in the event, where as in the ladies- underscore/conservatively score Yuna- then later on knowing how much they had to give for her to be able to catch up in the FP, WAY overblow Sotnikova. TS skated near flawlessly in the FD- with exquisite musicality, pure emotion and the deepest edges you’ve ever seen outside of a CD, give them a world record.. WOOPS, give DW a WR by more than two points. Completely ignore a dogs breakfast quality combo from Sotnikova, again overblow the score, then give half of Yuna’s elements lvl 3s. The most upsetting thing is both TS and Yuna knew.. you could see it. Maybe not exactly, but they knew. That’s the saddest thing that on some level you knew they weren’t playing the same game..

Then there’s the whole thing with Marina which unfortunately the majority of content on that is the stupid damn reality show which I give almost no credit to because the editing is worse than the cats movie.. completely unreliable and character damaging to esp Scott. (Theres a couple of voice clips from them tho that give some pretty raw insight that I’m gonna use)

On the positive side- as you said. Would the comeback had been as great and emotional as it was without how Sochi ended up? It’s the same way I think about her injuries and how that nearly destroyed them. How many other people (in this case teams) could come back from those things?? Really?? (I’m thinking sui/han as the only others). As I said in yesterdays (other) long rambling emotional vomit post, the freaking work they did that made them capable of coming back from these let downs. That is the damn redemption arc. And sorry coz I so rarely let out my petty bitch side.. take PC as a comparison.. maintaining they ‘lost’ in PYC simply because of a costume malfunction (which hunny.. make sure your damn costume does up.. that is no one’s fault but your’s) and without that they would’ve won and deserved to win and Beijing was the gold they rightly deserved and should’ve had 4 years earlier…. Them sitting there in the PYC green room begging for TS to mess up and swearing when they didn’t.. ughhh..you could not have a more stark contrast- TS didn’t feel they deserved gold in Sochi and instead framed it as they won the silver and they are so proud because it represents all they overcame to stand on any step of that podium, and then in pyc they could look down at the second place step knowing this time they were better than that and they deserved to be standing on top of the world.

So yeh don’t you worry.. I’ll remain civil and objective to the facts- I won’t be shitting on other teams like I (rarely/occasionally do here) but it’s a thorn in my side too.

This chapter will be the beginning of our hero’s’ redemption arc.

I’d love to ask about two dreams that i had, if you don’t mind.

In the first dream, i was looking into the mirror i think and i was touching my hair, it looked very curly (my natural is coily but at the moment it doesn’t really have a pattern). It looked nice, in a way that when i woke up i said “i wish my hair looked like that!”. I was wondering if you knew what’s the spiritual message of hair in dreams because it’s not the first time that i’m looking into a mirror and my attention is being brought to my hair.

the second dream is something totally different. so basically i dreamt about a tea leaf card ( i don’t know if you are familiar with them but they’re used in readings), i turned it around and it had a month on it. so when i woke up i said to myself “this is just my subconscious doing subconscious things, it can’t have a deeper meaning” but then the same day a reader that i follow posted a reading titled “most important months of 2024 for you” so that obviously caught my attention and when i clicked on the third group, she mentioned the month i had dreamed about and what it would bring. the reading was positive, but the thing is that it’s not the first time i dream of a month/ season and then it arrives and nothing significant happens. also, i feel like every time i ask for clarification from my guides i don’t really get it so i find it weird that this time i had a dream and right after i was shown this reading. it just feel too /easy/, if you know what i mean. it feels weird lmao.

rather that just having an interpretation of this dream, i’d also love to know if you have had similar experience and how it things unfolded for you after that? :3

Hair in dreams can have different meanings according on what you dowith them, how they look (short/long, curly/straight, soft/intricated... also the color) and how you feel. Seeing that usually you look at yourself in the mirror, could be that you're asked to do some self reflection over something that has happened, or maybe on repressed emotions of yours or... to acknowledge your self worth and express yourself, to let go of trying to fulfill others' desires and just be you, cause you can be that confident in you. Mostly I believe it's a sign of checking what is not working (emotionally, what is stressing/hurting) and nurture yourself.

Yeah I know of tea leaf cards. I don't use them but I have seen them being used! This is not really an interpretation you're asking for, but just an opinion Ig? :) Anyway imo when we dream of dates/months, it depends on what the dream is about. Sometimes, as when we see them in readings, they're not to be taken as per se (not to mention in pacs they may not be for us, but you know this better than me). I mean, at times there's a different meaning to them for us personally eg. December is the ending month of the year, could also mean an ending is approaching. It's also the month of Christmas (if it's related to your culture ofc) so maybe there may be a gift or you may be feeling more cozy during that time or spend more time with dear ones... Another thing to take into consideration is that we may also need to stay in a matching energy for that something to happen in that month/date. Again, depending on what it is about, we may go through trials or fallbacks in our healing path and the "something" may not happen at that specific time cause we have changed our energy (maybe when we dreamt of it, we were in another mental/emotional/energetic situation). Since dreams are very intimate and personal (we get downloads/infos strictly for us and from us), it doesn't mean it won't happen anymore and we lost our chance, it means it has been postponed to when we will be ready again. Especially if it's something that still matches our path. (Basically, as in readings, we do have the power to make our path anyway, and the dates we come across through it should not be taken as "expiring dates"). Other times, those dreams can be real predictions. Especially if you get more similarly-themed dreams, at least for what it concerns my personal experience. It's like they show you a path and support you until you take the right action and make it happen (trust your guts on this). This is my experience: on December 2022 I got some kind of confusing news and it gave me huge stress. I think... yes in January 2023 I got a dream in which I dreamt of a specific date (March 8th). I don't dream of dates very often so that kinda stood out but for the "wrong" matter: the dream was about a slightly stressing situation in my life (unrelated to the one I discovered in December) solving by chance (I waited but nothing happened about it on that date. Still...). In between February 2023 (I don't remember when exactly) I started having recurring dreams about a blonde woman helping me solve a situation. I got like 3 dreams in 4-5 close nights, two of them were on following nights. Everytime the issue I was having was different, but everytime it was a blonde woman coming to give me support and a solution. Long story short: a couple of days after the last dream or so, I decided to make a phone call and I got an appointment for March 8th (but I honestly had forgot about the first dream at that point: I remembered and connected the dots months after it was all done!). On that date a blonde woman literally helped me out and relieved my big stress. :) For how I see it, the situation I dreamt of in January was just a sample still pretty unclear in my unconscious, and all of the dreams were there from my Guides to suggest me: it'll be fine, dw. Just do what you know you have to do and can do.

I totally understand that you may feel a bit "weird" (that's not the word for the emotion I was searching but yeah, let's keep that). Try to stay positive but do not let the expectations do it all (at times we may wait so much for a date and get disappointed, especially if we have moved in the previous months just waiting for that date "to free us" or to just make it all better. Or for a specific event that wasn't the one supposed to happen anyway in the first place). And I mean not in a way "Do not believe it", but as in acknowledge it, be thankful, stay hopeful, but focus on you and on your path, on what you can actually do too to get there. I'm sure further infos will come for you, be patient. And remember not all the times things go the same way: this is exactly what ruins/blocks us in life too. We base ourselves on how things went in the past (especially if they went "bad/not as expected"), and so when things seem to repeat similarly, we don't trust them to go any differently. Not even if we're shown more proofs (but that's human: we're trying to defend ourselves from the pain of being let down once again -especially if we have been let down/abandoned a lot in life-. But maybe... we can try anyway? Maybe it's all about changing perspective, staying more open to the possibilities).

It’s also very weird to watch. The quirky, fun elements of RTD’s writing work splendidly for Doctor Who and really just feel uneven and out of place in a series that is supposed to be gritty and kind of dark.

Like 3, arguably 4, of the main characters are dead by the end of third season. One of them can’t stay dead, sure, but he sure does die a lot.

The first and second season are very monster of the week and it’s all rather charming in a “what the hell am I watching” sort of way. Most of the episodic stories are just bizarre. Truly bizarre. You can very much tell it’s a DW spinoff because it’s the exact same flavor of bizarre. But it’s like… if DW got very very slutty all the sudden. Not the way David Tennant is slutty in Who of the same period, but in a way that makes it kind of seem like there’s sex for the sake of sex, just because they can’t have sex in the original flavor. Almost too much sex. Gay sex, straight sex, everybody is having sex. Mixed in happens to be some of the most heartbreaking shit imaginable. The episode where Ianto is trying to save his fiancée from having been made into a cyberman? Tragic. The whole OG Captain Jack Harkness storyline? Ouch. And that’s not even looking at the third season.

The second season also had Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer in it. And I don’t only mean it was the same actor, though it was. It was like “we paid for Spike. We want Spike.” James Marsters is very much American but they kept making him do the kind-of-painful Spike accent. In a British television series. Hilarious.

Also that third season? What even was that? Like Smoke Monsters are using children as a power/food source? Really dark turn there. Then they went and bury-your-gays’d Ianto and I was furious.

We don’t talk about Miracle Day.

It’s valentine’s season and since I’ve been getting tons of asks about haitani sister reader x sanzu, might as well write a whole fic for it + I’ve had a soft spot for haruchiyo after I read the latest tokrev chapters so here you go. And dw, I’m still going to answer the other asks about this!

Stage 1: A New Face

If there was one thing ran and rindou didn’t want, it’s for their sister to end up dating one of their bonten colleagues. But I guess if they didn’t want that to happen then they really should’ve been more cautious with inviting their colleagues over at home. The one who visited the most being sanzu, as he was the closest to rindou. Those two were such a great pair, sometimes they didn’t even have to speak to relay what they wanted to say to each other which was such a useful feat when it came to missions. But it’s exactly what got you and sanzu busted in the first place. You’d met sanzu during one of your brother’s parties. It was one of few that you attended and sanzu offering you a drink back then didn’t seem like much to your brothers because he offered a drink to everyone else but it’s technically where it all began.

Stage 2: Familiarity

The next time you met him was at your house. He was bloodied but nothing you couldn’t handle, you were a haitani after all. Ran even asked you to help them patch him up. Their blatant confidence that you and sanzu were such a bad match made them comfortable enough to let him hang around even when they weren’t at home. They even deemed it safer for you to be with sanzu rather than be alone at home. Safe from opposing gangs? Of course. But safe from the pink haired man’s charm and charisma? Far from it. Despite the nature of his work, he was always nice to you, caring and gentle. Before you knew it, the comfort and safety he provided was something you ended up being so used to that it’s as if you didn’t want a week to go by without him stopping by at your place. And sanzu, being the observant man that he was, caught onto what you were feeling. Not that he didn’t feel the same but he was cautious of your brothers. Your brothers who made it perfectly clear that they didn’t want anyone from bonten to pursue their precious sister. But your soft voice, gentle hands that eased the sting of his wounds whenever you helped him get cleaned up, your understanding eyes were something he was more than willing to take the risk for. So he did. “Yn, I think I like you. And I think you like me too” just as you expected, his confession was as bold as he always was. But he wasn’t wrong about it because it seems as if you have both harbored a mutual admiration for each other and the comfort he brought you multiplied by a tenfold after his feelings for you were revealed. It’s as vulnerable as he has ever let himself be ever since he could remember. For the first time in a long time, he found comfort, one that didn’t bring fear with it.

Stage 3: Hiding

Sanzu loved the thrill of trying to hide your relationship from your protective brothers. Although it wasn’t the hardest thing to do. Ran and rindou trusted him with you. They left you in his care a lot, more times than he could count. There was a time when the two had to go on an overseas business meeting and they had to be away for a week. Of course, their ever trsuted colleague sanzu was asked to look after you. Yes, he was at a higher position in bonten than your brothers but they asked him as a close friend. He happily obliged. A little too happily that rindou started suspecting that something was up but he chose not to pry further into his suspicions. The third day of staying with him, just the two of you was when you made love with him for the first time. When you finally let him kiss and touch you without reserve. He made you scream his name and you did so freely because you had the place to yourselves. Each and every one of his touches made you feel so hot and his arms around after all the intense sex made you feel secured in his embrace. It was a risk he was glad he chose to take. Well until you both woke up to a loud gasp and the slamming of your bedroom door the next morning. You hurriedly got dressed and rushed out to the living room with sanzu.

“Are you fucking my sister?“ ran asked with an expressionless face while he looked at your boyfriend. “Isn’t that fucking obvious ran? What did they just want to sleep beside each other naked or something?” Ran clicked his tongue. “Ran I asked him first I swear” you tried to reason. “Yeah but what did I say, sanzu? Didn’t we tell you t-“ before he could continue, sanzu interrupted him. “You told us to stay away from her. But you two were always leaving her with me anyway so why not, right? Look, ran, rindou, I’m not just fucking her for fun. I really like yn. You can say what you want but even you two asshats must have noticed how I’ve already stopped sleeping around and going to those lame parties and strip clubs except if it’s for work.” The brothers looked at each other to confirm their observations. “Fine. What can we even do about it now anyway? But hurt her and you won’t wake up to see the next day” sanzu chuckled “well luck’s on my side then because no way in hell that’s going to happen, right baby?“ he pulled you close and gave you a quick peck. “Gross” rindou couldn’t help but look away at the display of affection between his sister and his best friend.

Stage 4: Sealing the Deal

You couldn’t believe how it’s already been years since you started dating haruchiyo. You were staring at the ring on your finger. A beautiful rose gold ring with a perfect sized diamond to finish its look. It reminded you or haruchiyo is more ways than one. Never in your life had you imagined that you’d be marrying one of your brother’s gang mates or whatever it was they called each other. Needless to say, your relationship was far from peaceful. Your brothers would often crash your dates and cockblock haruchiyo. They’d drag him out of bed to keep him away for you just for their amusement. And the wedding planning. Christ was it a storm. Ran questioning haruchiyo about his choice of flowers and colors while rindou expressed his distaste towards your fiance’s choice of food for the reception. It was nothing less of stressful to have them as the most important men in your life but what you had with them was something you’d never trade the world for. Two protective and extremely loving older brothers who would do whatever they had to just to keep you safe and happy and an ever loving fiance who was willing to take all the risks he had to just to be with you. You really couldn’t ask for more.

Well it’s actually a whole lot more existential and romantic than that

Steven had just retired from being champion

And taken quite the firm break from his Devon obligations

He realised how short and precious life was

How he should spend his time doing things he loved

And seeing the world with his own eyes

And feeling it in his heart

He wanted to experience all of this with you

The most priceless gem in the world to him

Sure this also meant he would spend plenty of time on your tips looking for rocks

But it was still so worth it to you

When you first land in Galar, he has a surprise for you!

Matching, chic metal bracelets that have wishing stars in them!

He thought the Dynamax bands were very ugly and that wouldn’t do for either of you

You spend a total of five months there

Moving from hotels to holiday homes to tents and back again

Steven is a bit strange when it comes to accommodation

Your holiday homes in Postwick, Ballonlea and Freezington

Aare spare but quaint, much like his Mossdeep home

But the views are amazing!

Your tent, while very warm and high-quality

Is still just a tent

But the hotel rooms?

He spared zero expense

I’m talking a 24hr concierge, private hot tub, silk sheets, personal masseuse AND chef

The works

They’re the best, especially after a long day of hiking or mining

When you are camping, you’re obviously on curry-duty

Turns out, Steven isn’t totally useless in an outdoor cooking situation actually

He knows what materials you’d need for a good fire and where you might find them

And he’s pretty knowledgeable when it comes to berries too!

Naturally, you carve out some time to do afternoon tea every couple days!

Visiting tea rooms and gorging yourselves on scones and cream and jam

And chatting with all the locals

Hoenn is pretty warm and tropical

And Steven’s favourite season is summer

He just loves warm sunny weather

So, he kinda hates Galar’s climate

Often it’s cold, and grey and drizzly, and miserable

When you decide you’d like to go out on such days

It’s one of the few times you’ve seen him huff and pout like a child

Highkey, highkey, it’s adorable and funny as FUCK

He does really like the Crown Tundra and Circhester though

But you think it’s mostly for the sights and the Beldum-line in the former

And the cozy atmosphere and baths of the latter

Oh and Bob’s your Uncle!

Seriously though, those baths are amazing!

When you two went, it was at night, and it snowed

It was such a magical experience, so warm and relaxed in the baths, while surrounded by glimmering snow and shimmering flakes

You made sure to share a very romantic kiss there

Somehow while on the Isle of Armour

You end up on a double-date with Digging Pa and Ma

You’ve never felt so much like a third (or I guess fourth?) wheel in your entire life

You swore your ears were bleeding rocks after you spent an entire evening listening to them discuss mining techniques

Never again

Arceus, he loves the Corviknight taxis

He can’t get over how cool it is being carried around by a huge steel-type bird!

He even caught one for himself, plus a little Roly-Coly!

Despite no longer being champion, you KNOW Steven gets some battling in

Most of it was demolishing trainers but there were also plenty of Dynamax raids too

Those were super fun!

Though even you got a little spooked when you saw how G I A N T his metagross got while dynamaxed

Galar has such a rich history, so you make sure to visit many museums

And all the castles you can find

Steven is basically a prince, you’re practically a royal couple, you deserve to visit a castle and share a kiss in one!

Some days you accompany him as he traverses deep within the Galar mines

Admiring the beauty of the twinkling gems and helping him out there

Other days you leave him be, and go off on your own adventure

Whether that be catching new Pokemon in the wild area, meeting new people, shopping, trying out a new experience, etc

And at the end of the day you meet up and chat about what you’ve done over dinner and cuddles

Of course, he also shows you everything he’s found in great detail

He’s so earnest and excited and cute when he talks about his rocks, bless his expensive wooloo wool socks

In Hoenn, the gym-challenge is a definitely more personal endeavour

The audience is small if any

And gym-leaders are minor celebrities at best

Sure Steven is famous

He is/was the strongest trainer in his home region

But he’s also well-known because he’s an heir to an uber-successful, recognisable corporation

And he’s drop-dead gorgeous!

In Galar, it’s so different

Giant stadiums, uniforms, crazy stans, brand deals…

Neither of you know if you like it very much

Though that doesn’t stop Steven from participating in an exhibition match against Leon

Honestly it seems like a bit of a (light-hearted) dick-measuring contest to you

You think he might be a bit jealous but whatever

It’s an explosive match for sure

You cheered si hard for Steven your voice nearly gave out

There were many close-calls

But unfortunately Leon won

(you can’t wait for the day he drops the ‘un’ from his epithet)

You make sure to give your dreamboat a big hug and a kiss afterwards

He’s a bit sad he lost, but he had a pretty good time anyways

Besides, he ain’t a champion anymore, it doesn’t count 😎

Afterwards you end up spending the rest of the day with Leon and the gang

Having a blast, discussing battling and cultural differences, eating and drinking from all the trendy places in Wyndon

You and Steven are a bit older, and a bit more mature than them, so you kinda end up the parents of the group for the night

Not that you mind though, even if it does make you feel a teensy bit old when you decide to retire to your hotel instead of getting wasted

Ah, well it means more cuddles and no hangover so it’s secretly a win!

It’s hard to say goodbye to Galar, even if you promise to visit again

You did a lot together, and made many memories

But you’re excited to embark on the next part of your journey with the love of your life <3

You think the digital world is gonna appear this seadon?

I think... that really depends on the "future" of Ghost Game. Like...

If Ghost Game is a normal 55~ish episode kids anime, then it'd be way too late at this point, since we'd only have like 6 episodes left at this point.

If Ghost Game is like Psi though and is like, a near 70~episode series, then I think there'd be a higher chance we might see a few episode worth of the DW possibly

But these are both relying on the idea that GG is ending in like 6-20 episodes, there is a third option where GG ends but we get a second season much like Zero Two and Hunters (though maybe without a new protagonist). And although it's theoretically possible, I kind of doubt it.

So TL:DR; no I don't think we're gonna see the DW in this series, mainly because I don't think it'd actually add anything to the story.

And to elaborate a bit more on that;

So what I've been getting from GG is that Gammamon is a reincarnation of his previous life as GulusGammamon (or a higher evo form, I know there's new evolutions in the VB but I did not look at those on purpose), the Dark Conqueror. Somehow he died and turned into a Digiegg with no memory of his past life (as the series has been building up to that, explaining and establishing the cycle of death and rebirth, memory, etc), and now in his reborn form Hokuto shipped Gammamon off to be Hiro's baby brother, giving Gammamon a second chance at life. And that's what GG is about.

GG is Gammamon's second chance at life, it's about us witnessing what kind of a person he grows up into, if his past sins will be inescapable and if he's doomed to become a corrupt, cruel entity once more*, and if so, should he be given another chance again, and again, or if he should face total deletion (if that's even an option in this series) for the greater good, including himself.

*Interesting sidenote; the Shadra/Nanomon episode went really hard on establishing and Digimon can not retain memories of their past lives, but Gulus seems to Know Things. So, Gulus is special somehow in that regard, and it's going to be interesting to find out why and how

So, since that's what I'm currently getting from GG, I don't think Hiro and co going into the DW would actually help with telling that story. Like it could be a cool backdrop for a final battle, but I don't think it'd add anything to the story. The battle could happen in Hiro's dorm room, it wouldn't make much of a difference really.

Really all we "need" from the DW is to maybe get Hiro's dad back if he can even be brought back (like he could also be totally dead and can only exist as a ghost in the DW or something, IDK), and we don't even have to really go to the DW for that, just open a gate and make sure Hokuto's at the right place at the right time and boom, he's been brought back.

I will say, let's say GG does go on for like 70 episodes or gets a sequel, if GG takes a turn where Gulus goes on a rampage and flees into the DW, forcing Hiro and co to go on a grand quest to fetch him, Espimon and Ryudamon replacing Gammamon as Hiro's partner(s), THEN I think we could get to experience this series' DW in more detail, but I kind of doubt it.

There was a recent interview with the staff where one of the GG staff members (can't remember who but you can find the interview on WtW) explicitly stated they didn't want GG to focus too much on an overarching story, just to keep the show more fun and make kids more likely to tune in, thus the heavy emphasis of the MotW formula in GG. And, knowing that, although the scenario I suggested above could be something you'd see in another season of the franchise, with GG, I don't think it'd actually happen, since it'd just go entirely against the goals of the staff and what they want to achieve with GG.

I've rambled on enough now but I think you get what I've been trying to say, so, yeah. Don't think we'll see the kids go to the DW in GG. There's no reason in the narrative for them to do so right now at least), and little time left for them to create a reason.

kuroo overexfoliated when he was 16 and that’s when he decided to get into skincare 🤡 but you’re really the one who ties it all together and finishes it 😤 has a bunch of blackheads and is hesitant about using acids but trusts you when you rec a bha (salicylic) and to his surprise it works!! you teach other about ingredients and formulations (more teaching on your end since he’s such an overachiever and is in a million different things) but his skin really goes 🌺🌺 when he’s got a routine down.

another amazing boyfriend to do self-care days with because he needs them so much 😭💞 spends the whole day by your side at home doing whatever whenever and holding your hand the whole way through 💖 does the spoon in the fridge technique to depuff his eyes after a late night and always sends u morning selfies with them on his face all “Good morning my Fated One 🥄👄🥄” 💀💀💀

bokuto already has a skincare routine kudos of his sisters when you start dating and only gets back into doing it regularly when he learns you like doing it too 💕 he wants to spend more time with you as if he isn’t already glued to your hip 😭🤚💗💗

he loves doing masks with you and likes to do one in the morning and one at night because you’ve got him hooked now 😤 he’s so dewy oh my god man is literally gleaming like a diamond 💎✨what have u done….. i bet he has a gua sha and rolls your face for you too 🥺 he’s so gentle omg stop…. looks at u with the softest look in his eyes when you giggle at how funny the sheet masks make the two of you look 💞❤️💕💓💝

oikawa while it’s universally thought in fanon that oikawa is a skincare junkie, i’d say that he’s more so really picky and meticulous. he has specific steps he follows to the t and knows how and when to bring in a new product for any seasonal weather and other changes in his skin. he’s not necessarily going to try your products unless he’s convinced they’ll work for him (everyone’s different after all), but he’s definitely open to you trying his and sharing what you both know 😤💗💗

easily one of the best boyfriends to have self care days with: nails, hair, face, online shopping, you name it, he’ll do it with you 🥰💄💅 i think he hates hyaluronic acid and avoids it like the plague lmfao one of his favourite ways to pass the evenings is the two of you together gossiping with your masks on and eating snacks 🌹🥰🥰🌹

hanamaki he has a mini routine and knows the general steps from his older sister and because i firmly believe he has dry, sensitive skin. he avoids fragrances, alcohols and all the sulphates and parabens but weirdly his skin is okay with silicones. anyways, he’s the one that introduces you to these amazing korean face masks and now you’re both hooked, spending weekends and days off at his house walking around with ur masks on all 💓👽👽💓

a little bit harder to work with in terms of exploration with your products but he finds his cheeks pinking 💖 and heart beating a little harder 🥰 when you go out of your way to find products that fit his criteria and gets rlly sappy when you start using them too 😭💓💕 he buys the bigger bottles for himself and small bottles for u because he’s whipped (and funny) that way 😐💖

kita looks like he and his grandma would some diy face masks together 🥰❤️ he’s got a basic cleanser and moisturizer but doesn’t do much else. spends a lot of time learning about the products and right steps so he can be a useful partner when you go shopping together 🥺💘💞

atsumu yeah he gets his beautiful skin from his mom and literally everything else because his mom is 🌸✨in both personality and looks. exfoliates three to four times a week and still looks amazing so you really have to wonder what his skin is doing and what yours isn’t 😔

ok but once he gets a decent routine in, he does his best to keep up with it and it helps!! his skin feels less tight and more supple so he might love you a little more for that 🙄🤚💖 he prefers sheet masks and lets you clip his curtain bangs to the side✨ also looks like the kinda guy who likes to sit on the balcony/patio with his mask on and soak up the sun in the mornings after you both have your sunscreen on ���🌼

ushijima his skin is dehydrated but he doesn’t know it, has accepted the oiliness of his skin as a symptom of his athletics 😔 he’s got a bunch of expensive luxury products given to him by his mom and she’s told him to use them but he doesn’t know what the right order is so he puts on an occlusive first before anything else 😭😭😭

genuinely appreciates you so much when you take the time to teach him about everything and even asks if you could give him some notes so that he can refer to them when you’re not by his side 🥺💗💕💖 joins you in your product endeavours and gives you succinct but helpful feedback on what he likes and doesn’t like 😤 likes to hold you while u do masks together 🌼 and rests his head on urs 😭🌸💕

tendou uses whatever he’s got at home and what his mom gets him 🤷‍♀️ spots here and there but otherwise pretty clear skin. he’s open to trying anything and everything with you because he’s just really happy to spend time with you 🥰💞💞

though i do think you gently push him to introduce serums and essences into his routine (which is basic, but covers all his bases). you let him experiment and he finds one from cosrx that he considers a holy grail 😳 he likes doing ur skincare routine for you and you sit on the toilet seat and grin up at him 🥰 he blushes but doesn’t look away and might or might not admit he loves to be in such close contact with you 💘💘

Oh boy I don't know where to start

I didn't start my adventure with Darkwing Duck until this summer when I watched the third season of DuckTales. I seriously have a bad memory and the episode from the second one completely slipped my mind. After watching Let's Get Dangerous I got curious about the Darkwing Duck character and wow I was completely into it. I didn't watch it before because the airing of this cartoon in my country ended at seven episodes and during my youth they didn't air reruns of this cartoon. I am currently about halfway through the entire series (I have set a goal to watch Dw more or less in sequence). Watching the cartoon also serves as a way for me to learn English. But that's not what I wanted to talk about. Ok if you would have asked me about half a month ago I would have said that my favorite villain is Negaduck, I mean I still like him but....

My second favorite villain is megavolt because I like characters with electric powers. However, when I watched Whiffle While You Work in the order I watch it was the first episode where Quackerjack appeared. At first it was such an ok cool clown villain. But when I watched Toys Czar Us and Days of Blunder's today I thought that from now on I think Quackerjack will be my favorite villain. just don't get offended at me negs I still like you and I like you a lot but.... Quackerjack and megavolt - the toy making clown and the electric rat. Of course the other villains are also great I like Steelbeak and Tuskernini well the other villains have their good moments too.

We're all aware that in October it will be Jodies aka Thirteenth doctor last episode and I wanted to write an honest review on my thoughts throughout the years of her run.

The actress:

I actually really like Jodie as the doctor, I think she's very adorable and fun but can be dark as well a bit like Matt Smith aka Eleventh doctor. I liked the character and I liked the actress. I lovednthe idea of a female doctor and would definitely like more female casting in the future. Because doctor who is about the plot not about something to look at. (Yes I'm talking about you mother)

The writing:

I'm going to be honest and say that the writing wasn't the best and could be a bit boring especially in the first series of Jodies run, but I do think the second series was a bit better especially Spyfall, I loved the twist but it would've been better if it was part two so that the Master reveals himself at the end, so it's like a cliffhanger after "O" was along with them all the whole two parts being a "goodie" (I love Dhawan Master) but there was still some more bland episodes and I did notice they are all kinda earth based and sometimes political. Where I'd definitely would've liked more lighthearted episodes where it's just aliens. (not Dalek's there's too many of these episodes now) I did like the third series of Jodies run it was pretty okay and was enjoyable. I didn't mind the new years special (I miss when DW was on at Christmas to be honest) and I liked the Easter special, it was just what I was after really still could've been a lil more to it that's all.

The companions:

Okay I liked the companions, but there was too many in the first two seasons of Jodies I liked Graham and Ryan and Yaz a lot, but I feel like there wasn't really enough screen time with them on separate occasions, so we didn't have a chance to really see that character properly to figure them out. (I liked Graham and I really like Dan and we have more Yaz now) and now we got a smaller group I like Dan a lot and I like Yaz and I love the fact there's a lil crushing going on. But I do fear that something bad is going to happen to Yaz in the next episode special.

Villains:

Okay the only villains I found interesting was The Master, The sea devil's (I was so happy to see these as I absolutely love the third doctor) and the weeping angels. I can't actually really remember the others if I'm being honest, because they wasn't really scary or the storyline was just a lil boring that's all no judgement to the writer at all. (Okay maybe a lil)

The series overall:

Okay I did like the thirteenth doctor's run but unlike the ninth, Tenth and Elevnth even some of the twelfth doctor. I probably won't watch these again, because I feel like these seasons are a single watch only thing. I feel that they would be incredibly predictable if I gave it a second watch. Otherwise I did like the thirteenth doctors run and it was a very new and different experience compared to the others but at the same time, I do miss the older doctor who episodes. But I'm also very excited to see what RTD has to bring to us, because I have a feeling it's probably going to be different from his first time round but I'm very sad that Jodie is leaving though, because I really liked the thirteenth and would've liked at least one more season. because of how long in-between and how little episodes we actually had with her.
