I did the roughest rough draft of my four-to-five page paper in one long tumblr ramble. Properly formatted, it reaches around five-and-a-half pages without citations. I have never felt so powerful in my life.

#I wrote it in around ~40 mins too #idk if that's long or short for ppl but #I Feel So Powerful #I will now play stardew valley some more to celebrate #this can be considered a life update #i have not written anything fanfic wise I am sorry my loves #I have been reading (hw) and writing (essays) and working (fun!! -no sarcasm-) and every free moment has been Consumed by Stardew Valley #they are not forgotten #Rewind is not forgotten #just delayed #perhaps when I have more time not occupied by Stardew #I will finish the chapter #and it will be posted #apologiesbu #but for now expect only the occasional lotr rant as I slowly make my way through it #I have a few in mind #haven't written them yet #and perhaps the odd star wars fic (unlikely) or rant/live post (slightly less unlikely) as I make my way through the shows/movies w friends #I hope you all are doing well #sending my love in this fall-ish season <3 #just yelling into the void #meme time

But agree it was for the best I did not finish it.#Hey speaking of tone twists...We are one episode away from one of my favourite chapters being animated!#WHO'S READY FOR THE SENSHI BACKSTORY! WHO IS READY TO CRY!#ME! I AM! I spooked my flatmate with how energetic I was this morning. Often when trans women ask me when I'm performing next, and I tell them that it's a queer/trans event, they will tell me that they'd rather not go because they do not feel comfortable or safe in those spaces, that they have been dismissed or belittled at such events before. Even trans women who are dyke- or bisexual- identified often don't feel welcome or relevant in queer/trans spaces. And whenever a trans woman or ally points out aspects about the queer/ trans community that contribute to these feelings of irrelevancy and disrespect—such as the way our community coddles those who support trans-woman-exclusionist events or who make trans-misogynistic comments—we are described as being "divisive." This use of the word "divisive" is particularly telling, as it implies that "queer/trans" represents a uniform movement or community—a "oneness"—rather than an alliance where all voices are respected.

#reading #just finished it and this from the final chapter was my fav moment and one of the few times i was nodding along #the book is solid in certain places #even incisive at times #but it is so theoretically confused and downright wrong in some of its foundatioms #that i CANNOT recommend it as an introduction to transmisogyny and i can only SUGGEST it as a v critical read #may say more later #whipping girl #transmisogyny
