They changed the date for the Neopets TTRPG Kickstarter! It was was supposed to go live today and then they pushed it back to next week! I swear this happened back in May too...

So... I was reading up on the Visa card issue that SE has (Since I was on break from playing FFXIV) and yeah... I'm one of the many people who are effected by this... Some of you may be saying "Just buy a time card" which I did that's not the reason why I'm irritated. I'm more so irritated that I have two extra retainers. And those retainer have some of my prep mats for Dawntrail... And I REALLY don't feel like making a pay pal or amazon pay account for a few weeks only to delete it afterwards if this issue does get resolved in July... (I brought my time card from gamestop) So yeah, I'm gonna use this Free 4 Days Campaign to get those mats back... Yaaaaaay......
Another sidenote: I'm probably not gonna be picking Summoner for Danwtrail. Nothing that I've seen from the media tour footage has enticed me into picking it up again. This may be the first expansion where I mainly focus on healers. Now I know that the stuff in the media tour can be subject to change, even with the jobs that I'm interested in. But the Summoner stuff just doesn't look all that interesting to me. I may just stick to using it in PVP only. Similar to how I did during the last half of Endwalker. Maybe I'll pick it up again in future expansions for content outside of PVP, who know. Now I'm off to craft and gather... again... :,D (Edit: 6.6.2024) Good news! I don't have to craft anything! I just need to gather! Phew...

#salad's gaming corner#non writing#non valiant#i can't speak to things going on at paradox internally#but as an outsider#i love their games but i have grown more and more concerned about their movement towards cash grabs in recent years#they can give any reasons they want in a forum post about the cancellation#but ultimately i think it boils down to the fact that they weren't willing to spend the extra money on more development time#another factor might have been the very rocky start of cities 2#as a publisher they've also kind of been shitting the bed on some of their more recent dlcs#i was really looking forward to the vision of the developers though#but also i dunno what kind of layoffs they experienced if any#but maybe they didn't have a big enough team to complete work on the timetable they wanted#either way i'm very sad#i was looking forward to it#and the sims still desperately needs a competitor#lets hope paralives still makes it

do the archavist celebrate human holidays?like..holloween or Christmas??? Or do they only celebrate when a planet finishes their orbit (new years)
The archivists do not have holdiays (besides their birthdays and radiance), nor do they celebrate any human holiday's, and the many many mortal holidays of many many many MANY societys. There are so many that it is pointless to keep track of celebrating them all when they have no meaning to the archivists, well, unless it is relevant to a cause such as a gathering project. Such a waste of time to celebrate every one of them if they hold no value to them hm?
Halloween is an exception, entertaining the collectors' idea of 'dressing up'. Though, deciding who will be the one entertaining him on this holiday is...troublesome. they truly see no point in celebrating such minicual holidays, but for the sake of keeping their youngest sibling happy, they go along with it. Most commonly, orion or asrar will accompany the youngling during this holiday, as the operator has more important things to take care of.
Which includes being thrown into a princess dress. Sorry asrar
