Lolol thank you :DD!
Mostly just practice ✌️ and being obsessed with art YouTubers since I was little haha. My first drawings were like, recreations of “how 2 draw chibi face” :,) But yeah, mostly drawing because it is fun (fanart is a good motivator), and then mixing that with trying to improve through studies, tutorials, art classes, ect.
#ask#also in elementary school two friends were like. THE art kids#they were so cool…. they played warrior cats and let me join in even tho I never read them#or knew what was going on#I was just assigned ‘medicine cat’ and went with it#they also made like. scratch animations#and showed me YouTube + heathers#I was a sheltered child#a sheltered anxiety ridden child#so the fact they watched ~anime~ and drew hetalia instantly elevated them to Super Cool status in my eyes#anyways I moved and was like. this is it: my opportunity to become the art kid#and I did#Yipee happy ending#(don’t tell anyone I was also a theater kid)#moral of the story if you were weird in elementary school you def had a secret admirer who also wanted to be weird but was too quiet lol

au idea... tng but it's set in the 80s and the enterprise is an apartment building rather than a ship
other tenants of the building include: -Picard (the head of the college that Data attends) and Q (no one really knows what he does, he just pops in and out whenever he pleases) -Troi (high school guidance counselor) and Riker (personal trainer) and Worf used to live here too but he moved out -Beverly (still a doctor) and Wesley (burnt out college freshman) -Barclay (works at Blockbusters w/ Data and Geordi) -Guinan (bartender of a secretly gay bar)
the ds9 apartment is a whole other story

Prompt 297
“I feel like we should be concerned about Tim.”
“Honestly we should always be concerned about him, but what made you realize it this time?”
“Have you seen his search history- wait no you haven’t you haven’t been in the cave all day, look at this-”
“...'Is it legal to adopt the ghost of a kid? Can someone call CPS on a family’s ghost? How to take care of ghosts 101? How do you get a ghost of a child to not be scared? What to do if you find ghost children in your home? What the fuck…?”
“Exactly, I think he needs an intervention.”
Or in other words, after getting thrown into another dimension thanks to the GIW destroying most of Amity, a trio of ghost children decide to crash in this seemingly abandoned apartment building. No one seems to live here anyway… Tim Drake on the other hand, gets a notification that there’s someone in his main safehouse that he might’ve slightly forgotten about thanks to having his house-boat now, and sees a trio of starved looking ghost kids
#DCxDP#DPxDC#Prompts#De aged Danny#De aged Jazz#De aged Dan#Not seen is Ellie also there but in Core form because she’s too unstable to form a body again yet#Tim’s family is concerned for his sanity#Tim calling his co-dependent hero friends like Kon & Bart: How do you get a child- wait no not like that#Bernard is laughing at him on the phone & asking for pics#The ghost kids have no clue they’ve been adopted yet#They’re hella traumatized & just relieved to have found shelter#Might cry in the very comfortable blankets#Tim: Okay how the fuck do I help these literal dead kids without scaring them away#Tim: Someone call Greta I need her help-

I've read some of your posts (I love your art by the way) and as a Clay simp I have to say I HATE ARTHUR PUPPINGTON MY GOD, AS MUCH AS CLAY HAD BEEN A SPOILED BRAT YOU CAN'T JUST IGNORE A FCKING CHILD AAAAAcbsknx The old man needed to mature instead of seeing a 12-year-old as competition
I get Arthur puppington but this old man should be upset at his wife not at the 12 year old who's been sheltered, spoiled and tricked into believing everyone should kneel down for him his whole life, that kid literally does not know any better
#i get everyone in that family........but I'm more upset at arthur. who COULD have helped and guide clay. he had this opportunity-#for 7 years yet he did nothing but physically abuse him for the fist months after his wife died#no. actually he had Clay's whole life lmao#why are you letting your wife shelter this boy!!!! he is going to grow into an insufferable man child#i get arthur puppington so much but you're the adult thid child relies completely on you#bastard!!!!!#i probably spoke about this already but god i love trashing this old man

i probs will never have kids but if i did i would love to introduce them to all the fun cartoons and educational shows i grew up with and never let them know a cocomellon or whatever current nonsense exists. this is precisely why i probs shouldn't have kids. i would construct a reality for them so hard like, no baby those shows your peers watch aren't real<3
#i fear i would do the liberal version of what conservative homeschoolers do#but instead of indoctrinating them in religious brainrotting bigoted bullshit it would be like. educating them on everything#and making them have good taste in media#and sheltering them from the idiots of the world#i have too much anxiety to be a parent tho. like i would never let them out of my sight. which is. bad#would not want to inflict my neuroses on a child lol

tss strikes such a good balance between having the adults in the story be responsible and competent while also letting zak be the hero and be able to be powerful and participate in the world
like the talk doc has with zak in "the kur stone pt 2" where he explains why he thinks zak might be the only person who could defeat argost, but he also acknowledges how much pressure that's putting on him. doc and drew are so dedicated to not just sheltering zak no matter how much they might want to, they're always trying to train him and help prepare him for everything and stuff
it's just. doc and drew (and doyle) are so refreshing to see. so many children's cartoons will make the adults incompetent or practically nonexistent so that kids can feel strong and powerful and i just feel like tss lets zak be strong while also letting him lean on his family
#original series grandpa max isnt bad either from what i remember#genrex is different bc like. the whole 'literal child soldier' thing feels like a more apt critique of providence#bc rex is the only child in providence#and tbh they actively make his life worse LMAO#both keeping him sheltered and making him train to fight at the same time and making him all stir crazy#six and holiday are both like. competent and usually present but theyre also... not great at the whole parenting thing?#like holidays not bad. six is

@bartylusmicrofic
Prompt 5: joint
(Sorry this is late)
CW: minors doing and selling drugs (just weed, which was not legal in Scotland in the 70s, but cmon it’s just weed), brief mention of domestic abuse (just a joke about Barty’s shitty dad)
-
Barty never really cared about the stigma surrounding non-muggleborn wizards being involved with muggle shit. If muggles made something he wanted, he’d take it. Who the fuck cared who made it? He smoked muggle cigarettes, lit them with muggle lighters, listened to muggle music, and dressed like a muggle punk. Who was gonna stop him?
But what he hadn’t done (yet) was muggle drugs. He honestly hadn’t even thought about it until he found out that the hufflepuff Evan liked so much was selling muggle shit.
So Barty, being the open minded connoisseur that he is, bothered Evan to get him some until he got annoyed enough to do it.
Barty was waiting on his bed, staring at the ceiling. He decided he regretted not going with Evan because having nothing to do but wait was so much worse than having to witness Evan flirt with a guy who probably didn’t even know boys could kiss other boys. But he didn’t have to wait much longer after that thought before Evan strolled into the room and threw a small bag, filled with something that looked like moss, onto his chest with a little too much force to be friendly.
“Woah, no need to get violent, Rosie.” Barty whined as he sat up, watching the little bag slide down into his lap.
Evan scoffed and rolled his eyes, “you can take being beat by your dad, you can take a bag of grass.”
Judging by how sunny Evan was being, Barty figured the flirting had gone very well. But Evan had bought him drugs so he would be quiet today. How sweet of a friend he was.
“Where’s Reg?” Evan asked over his shoulder as he flopped on his back onto Regulus’ empty bed.
“Where do you think?” Barty answered with his own eye roll as he opened the little bag. Regulus could be found in one of two places during his entire stay at Hogwarts, and that was the dorm and the library. It was a little different now that he had prefect duties, but not really.
A smell that Barty had never smelled anything like before wafted from the bag and he had to resist the urge to cough with how it settled in his throat. He’d smoked before, he shouldn’t cough over a sniff of… whatever this was.
“You don’t snort it, idiot.” Evan called.
“I wasn’t, idiot.”
“Well then what were you gonna do, idiot?”
Barty decided to be quiet then, on his own volition and not at all because he couldn’t answer.
Evan chuckled like the bastard he was and rolled over on his stomach to face Barty. “Alright, gimme the bag and a book you don’t care about.”
“… what the fuck did you two do?” Regulus grumbled, tucking his nose under his sleeve to hide it from the offending scent choking up their dorm.
Barty, honest to Circe, could not find it in his muddled brain to answer.
“Just some down time, Reg,” Evan answered for him. He seemed to be handling the smoke a lot better than Barty, considering he could talk all and good despite currently smoking even more than Barty had.
Barty watched Regulus sigh and drop his bag at the foot of his bed, next to Evan’s feet. “You’re on my bed.”
“Uh-huh.” Evan hummed as he took another drag.
“Move, you high bastard.”
“Go lay with Barty. Look how lonely he is.” And then they were both looking over at him and he couldn’t control his face enough to stop staring back. Had he actually blinked in a while? Now that he was thinking about it, he didn’t think so… woah.
“How much did you give him?” Regulus asked as he slipped his fingers into Barty’s hair. When had he gotten close enough to do that? Meh, whatever. Barty wasn’t gonna complain, so he just leaned into the welcome touch. Barty couldn’t help the smile that painted on his face when he nuzzled into Regulus’ hand. He didn’t remember closing his eyes but he was vaguely aware that the only sense that was working was his sense of touch. And hearing. Kind of. Was he underwater?
“I didn’t feed it to him by the spoonful, Reg. He took what he wanted.”
“And that’s unusual?”
“See? You’re catching up.”
“Shut up.”
Barty frowned when Regulus’ hand suddenly disappeared from his hair. Where was he going?
Regulus was chuckling, “oh, calm down.” He grumbled in his own, loving, way “Merlin, don’t pout.”
Regulus’ hand was cupping Barty’s chin and his thumb was running over Barty’s lip ring. If he was pouting before, he certainly wasn’t now.
“He’s on another plane right now, Reggie.” Evan muttered as he took yet another hit.
“You’re on the way.”
“Here’s to hoping.”
There was some shuffling on the bed and when Barty opened his eyes his head was propped onto Regulus’ lap like the world’s greatest pillow. His delicate fingers were combing back through Barty’s hair but Barty wasn’t focused on that anymore. How could he be focused on anything else when he was looking up at his beautiful boyfriend’s beautiful face? Regulus was still talking to Evan but Barty couldn’t hear them. Regulus was so beautiful.
His lips were pink and perfect and Barty knew they were soft. He liked watching them move when he talked. His nose was arched like a Greek god and Barty would offer as many hecatombs as he could if Regulus asked. He had a million moles dotting his milky skin like his own inverse galaxy. BARTY didn’t care much about astrology, but he would if it was about this sky. His eyes were a cold, icy gray that swam with the softest blue. Barty wasn’t an empty headed, drooling flirt or anything, but he could honestly stare into Regulus’ eyes forever and be completely content until he dropped dead and blind. In fact…
He sat up and nudged Regulus to lay back so he could rest his chin on Regulus’ chest and get a better look.
“Oh Salazar.” Piped up Evan with a rumbling laugh deep from his chest. But Barty wasn’t listening because Regulus was laughing too and Barty felt his heart singing in his chest.
“Barty, what-“ he was interrupted by his own giggles. “What are you doing?”
Regulus’ smile was wonderful. The real one. The tight, knowing one that he showed everyone outside his four walls was certainly hot, but he beloved the real thing more. It was private, just for him and those close to his heart, and it was perfect. It bled flush into his cheeks and spread his perfect lips enough that he actually showed his teeth. He was always so careful to hide his teeth, just because he viewed the gap he had between them as unsavory. He thought they were to be hidden. He thought a lot of himself was to be hidden.
Well, more for Barty.
“Looking at you.” He answered far too late with a smile he knew was far too dopey.
Regulus’ laughter continued to shake through his chest while Barty continued to gaze at his beauty like a lovesick puppy. It was nice staring at Regulus when his head was all fuzzy. It felt like Regulus was the only thing he could see.
He liked that. He liked that a lot.

I wonder how well would King Merc would work with a stick!Alan scenario?
(basically, how would Mango react if victim's goal is to bring Alan to the digital world for revenge?)
they would both respond to the situation with bewilderment and confusion basically. king has no idea how to feel about the existence of this guy as a stick figure, and alan is kind of intimidated by king, especially after seeing what yellow could do with a command stick.
i don't think king wants to be complicit in murder though, much less in the murder of an entire HUMAN. so he's probably going to try and prevent alan's death even if he really has no idea what's going on
#tommy's stickmen tag#stick alan is such a funny au also. it's not fully compatible with king merc imo#but it'd be so fucking funny to see it mixed with shelter au.#“yeah your creation is my child now. also you're fucked up why did you do that” “LISTEN. Oh gosh. Feeding the chain modern food. I've actually thought about this a lot.
I think it's a fun idea to give them all these weird and new recipes/food items, but I also think it would probably make most of them sick
Like, (speaking as an American) so much food is processed. Even some of the stuff you think you're getting healthy has been processed or is riddled with additives/pesticides/gmo's
So just. unadulterated junk food? On boys that have never in their lives eaten anything but the cleanest, as organic as it gets, nutritional meals? McDonald's? Some sour candy? I wouldn't be surprised if they puked it up
(I can just imagine Wind or Wild wanting to try some of Reader's "weird" food so badly, and then getting immediately sick. The chain then regards them as having an iron stomach for all the weird stuff they eat without batting an eye.
...maybe not Wild though actually. He eats rocks.)
Don't even get me started on the nutritional adaptation. Like a reader that doesn't ever eat fruits/veggies/drink water?? They'd wonder how they're alive 😭😭
Hyrule and Wild are the only ones who can stomach it.
Twilight and Warrior are wiling to try even if they get stomach aches afterwards. Twilight drinks chuchu jelly. So I'm sure he'd fine in the end. And I'm willing to bet that Warrior had to et some weird things during the war when ration ran low so he can tough it out.
Legend can go one of two ways. He can either tolerate like no big deal or he's taken out of commission for the week. There's no in-between. He's traveled a lot so I'm sure he's been exposed to a lot of different things and can thus handle more- but it's a Russian Roulette of what can take and can't take.
Wind and Four don't last long. They eat bologna and are out for the rest of the day with tummy aches.
Don't even try with Time or Sky. They're the most sensitive. I'm willing to bet the smell alone can make them feel sick.
#pinky replies#human! reader#anon headcanons#Sky is the easy one because Skyloft#but I also think that Time was sheltered nutrition wise as a child#he's gotten better as he's grown up and can eat a meal- but he spend a lot of time on a kokiri diet#I'm wiling to bet he can't handle many foods even now#that includes seasonings#unfortunately

SW Prequels: 1 Politic Please, for the Naive Child
(A complicating narrative…but probably not for you, reader of this post)
The prequels, according to quotes from GL, have two main goals:
“How did Anakin become Darth Vader?” (How does good person become a bad one)
“How did the Republic turn in to the Empire?” (How does a democracy become a dictatorship)
The first goal, though perhaps not perfectly executed, is largely achieved. We see Anakin go from a child who wants to help others, to an adult willing so sacrifice children for his own selfish desires—and we the viewers understand that (if not always agree which) decisions he and others made caused him to follow that character arc.
What the Prequels do Not do
The second goal falls far short.
The prequels offer some broad factors in the Republic becoming a dictatorship (as well as why the Separatists were no better)—corporations in government, greed of the already wealthy, war, fear-mongering manifesting policy changes, etc—but does not examine them in detail. It doesn’t take particular care with the timing of when the main characters acknowledge Republic’s values as having been lost, or the construction of “democracy” in-universe, or to what degree planets like Alderaan must be stealing from the Mid and Outer Rim, or even how Padmé and Palpatine both being from Naboo potentially alters any political commentary to be about Naboo rather than on the Republic as a whole, and carries around a whole bunch of other careless world-building problems that muddy the waters of plot elements which should be fairytale-clear (look I was gonna link a bunch more individual posts, but I got tired. Go read @saga-ordsmed’s star wars tag—she writes more elegantly, scathingly, and competently about Star Wars’ political & narrative failings then I ever will).
The prequels are a story about Anakin and about values of personal responsibility, and any political commentary suffers for that.
We know that the Senate willingly votes Palpatine into absolute power, but we do not know what alliances led to that vote passing, what Palpatine has been doing inside the Senate rather than outside it (his Sith & separatist activities), what battles and press releases cause the tide of the Senate to turn. We are shown a few bad apples but largely left unsure what turned the whole Senate, other than “time” “decay” and “greed.” These are vague comments on human nature, not on systematic conflicts.
If we saw something like this deleted scene, where Padme gives a speech to the senate, or this deleted scene, where some Senators talk about the Delegation of 2000 confronting Palpatine, I might have a reason to believe Padmé has fresh insight into the current political instability when she says the Republic is crumbling (if we actually got some of the pointed comments from the Delegation of 2000 scene, I would never have been able to make this post). Frankly, all of Padmé’s opinions are already under narrative suspicion because of her choice to help cover up Anakin’s massacre; without taking time to establish her expertise in politics as separate from her decisions about Anakin, her words about the Republic mean little. But these scenes are deleted, and whatever the reason, it causes the prequels to fail at their second goal, even more than they do structurally by not paying it much attention.
The most convincing comments about the political state of the Republic and the Chancellor instead come from members of Jedi Council, who have deliberately held themselves at a remove from the political process—for philosophical and practical reasons—and so lack detailed insight into the Senate’s functioning (why have so many benevolent Senator characters if you’re not going to use them as such? Just put one in the room with the Jedi council for a minute, seriously).
The most interesting scene we get about politics is the scene when Anakin and Padmé chat in the field and Anakin basically says he thinks the right dictatorship would solve the Republic’s problems, and Padmé largely laughs it off. It has the potential to be commenting on how people become radicalized when governments do not serve them, but the scene is so short and Anakin is in such a unique position as a Jedi and someone being personally groomed by the Chancellor, that it falls flat in terms of telling us anything either fresh and interesting about GL’s perspective on radicalisation, or anything applicable to a wider group of people.
Instead, the scene is again almost solely about the characters. It tells us about Anakin, Palpatine’s influence over Anakin, a little about Padmé, and a lot about Anakin and Padmé’s relationship. This would be fine—stories are allowed to use politics merely as a backdrop to character-level conflicts—if the creator didn’t claim to be telling us how a democracy can become a dictatorship.
So the prequels fail as a detailed or even followable portrayal of how a democracy becomes a dictatorship. They set up a few dominoes, but largely do not connect them to one another—for that we must fill in elaborate headcanons, read a million and one comics that probably don’t help the matter, or refuse to pay the question any detailed attention at all.
What the Prequels do Achieve
I recall a day, quite a while ago now, when as a kid—9 or so—I was walking to a friend’s house. It was sunny; the lawns were green and the sky was blue but the pools were bluer. I don’t remember the exact trigger for the thought, but I suspect my eye caught on the American flag hung by someone’s door. Whether it was the first time, or only the most memorable time, I remember realising: There is nothing inherently stopping my country (the US) and the whole world from getting worse again.
Now, there was a lot that was limited and outright wrong about that thought: the idea that the world didn’t currently suck for a lot of people, that it couldn’t start sucking for me, that the safety I experienced wasn’t built on other people not being safe, that the world was necessarily headed in a positive direction at the time, and so on. Many children are obliged to realise those things far earlier, if they ever held such beliefs in the first place.
But it was a step on the ongoing path toward a more complex world view, and a necessary one.
What the Prequels do is to present a situation in which the Evil Overlord takes over not by having a bigger army, or by poisoning the Good King, but by asking for and being granted supreme power by the government which is supposed to be checking his power. It is not detailed, or nuanced, or particularly well orchestrated. The how is barely a concern. The Prequels are highly unlikely to tell an adult anything they do not already know—in fact they are more likely to reinforce overly simplistic, individualistic views of highly systematic, large scale issues.
But the prequels do present a naive child with the possibility that a democracy can willingly become a dictatorship, that a government and a world can become worse.
That is only a step—one everyone must eventually move beyond—but for the naive child, it is a necessary step.
#tldr#the audience for which the prequels are a Complicating Political Narrative is a relatively sheltered small white child. but we are many#I am given mild amusement by the fact that the two blogs I’ve cited here would not like each other at all#the republic#padme amidala#jedi#anakin skywalker#sw deleted scenes#star wars

Feel free to ignore this, but I have to ask since I've been rewatching yugioh 5ds and you're one of the very few blogs I've searched that mentioned Satellite Bros age order. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this and if you know other blogs that talk about it.
WHY WOULD I EVER IGNORE THIS ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS. THANK YOU SO MUCH <3
*takes deep breath* ok SO
Word of god canon is that the age order is Jack (19), Yusei (18), and Crow (17), at the start of the series.
But while you can make an argument that Yusei would have records, people who knew when he was born, or at least a birth certificate, Jack and Crow are orphans. If Jack is indeed 19, then he would have been roughly a year old when Zero Reverse happened, likely killing his parents, at the very least destroying a massive amount of city infrastructure. You tell me Jack knows his birthday and I press (X) to doubt.
Crow is apparently canonically younger than Yusei, but. His parents also died in Zero Reverse.
This. This straight up does not work.
Also Yusei is shown to be a baby when Zero Reverse occurred and if Crow's parents did indeed die in Zero Reverse when he was under a year old he there is NO WAY he would live much longer than that. That's just. How babies work.
CROW HOGAN HAS TO BE OLDER THAN YUSEI.
I will die on this hill. I watched the show thinking Crow was the middle brother and then learned their apparent canon ages after because he has to be older than Yusei for any of his backstory to make sense. Konami can fight me on this.
NARRATIVELY they are the middle and youngest child. Jack has Past motifs, Crow is Present, and Yusei is Future. Jack and Yusei's whole dynamic is the most oldest sibling vs youngest sibling drama possible.
As for Jack, I always like to think it was his birthday like, a week before Yusei leaves Satellite, because being a Newly Minted Twenty Year Old explains everything about his personality.
#jack and crow straight up dont have birth certificates#interesting note about Yusei's birthday: it is also apparently the same day as Zero Reverse. Which also just cant be true.#I choose to interpret that as the day Martha found Yusei and thats what all her kids celebrate instead of birthdays#and at some point Yusei just forgot thats not the actual day he was born#Im sorry konami if I'm not meant to read Yusei as the youngest of the three#why have Jack and Crow shelter him from physical and emotional abuse until they have to leave him for their own reasons#leaving Yusei in a dangerous home situation that he was previously unaware of because the other two functioned as a shield#HUH KONAMI???????????#Jack is SO eldest sibling coded#Crow is SO middle child coded#Yusei is SO youngest brother coded#I like to think Goodwin forged Jacks documents and made him like a year younger on paper just to screw with him#yugioh#yugioh 5ds#ygo 5ds#ygo#5ds#asks#answered asks#yusei fudo#jack atlas#crow hogan
