Hi! This is where I have info on what I write, who I write, and what I am comfortable writing/what you can request! If you have any questions feel free to ask me!

What Maverick writes…

I write fanfiction, oneshots, and imagines, and headcannons!

These will of course include age regression or pet regression in some way, wether you the reader are a regressor, or a character is.

I will write for the fandoms/characters I have listed below. If you want a different character and don’t see them down there, you may ask if I will write for them but I won’t make any promises.

What Maverick is comfortable writing…

This is a 100% SFW blog, so no NSFW writing at all. I’m not comfortable doing that for age/pet regression.

I am perfectly fine writing relationships like dating or being married, with hand holding, cuddling, kissing, etc etc. But I will not do smut, kinks, or heated make outs.

"Boys we have new person joining the team she transfered from L.A to help us on OPS," Blackburn said

"Meet Petty Officer 3rd class and foreign Communications specialist Emerson Sawyer," Blackburn said

"Trent you have a sister," Someone said

"There can be more than one family of Sawyers," I said

After awhile the briefing was over and Blackburn pulled me aside

"Hey you do know your working with your dad," he said

"Good now tell him when you want to," He said

I walked to the cage and everyone was looking at me

"No I just want to know what happened in that briefing," Jason said

"You said two thing that set off red flags for me," he said

I walked out of the cages and to Blackburn 

"Sir I want to go back to L.A," I said

Tents my dad, he no idea about I came here for fresh start and to get to know my dad, but no people think, I bring up red flags no I don't I'm actually careful because of my last realionship, which by the way I almost died happy," I said before leaving the room and walking outside 

"See Jason this why you don't question she would have told us," Ray said

Ray and Clay went after Emerson and found her in the hall way 

"Hey," Clay said

"Clay go away," Emerson said

"Not happening," Ray said

"Why," Emerson said

"Because your our sister now we don't leave eachother behind," Clay said

"What," I said

"We have no idea what it was for you in L.A, but we can say this it's not the same here," Ray said

Emerson looked up at them and smiled, before seeing Jason walk towards Blackburns office, Ray helped Emerson up from the floor and they went back into the cages

as opposed to some  ,  lydia accepted her fate with little complaints  .  in fact  ,  you might say she was a little  too  enthusiastic  ...  driven by thirst  ,  she slaughtered a group of college students and left them out in the open air of the park they’d been having a nighttime hangout at  .  she fled town soon after  ,  leaving behind the sunny shores of california for the emptiness of indiana  .  she began going by the name lydia myers meanwhile  . after that  ,  she never really stayed in one place for too long  .  she loved to travel  ,  enjoying her freedom immensely  ,  and found kin with the people she met along the way  .  most of these relationships were fairly fickle  ,  in the grand scheme of things  ;  most people she charmed out of necessity  .  it was nice to have a friend to call on when you needed a place to stay  ,  or a few bucks for bus fare  .  it was a genuine rarity for her to find herself truly attached to another  ,  because she feared commitment more than anything  ;  she still does  ,  in fact  .  letting someone grow close means giving them the chance to hurt you  ,  to leave you  ,  and lydia is  ...  not about that  .

in order to Maintain The Vibe, i feel like fuselage section would be shelby, toni, martha, nora and dot, and then we’ve got rachel, leah, fatin and linh in the tail. (rachel sat as far away from nora as she could on purpose, so now she’s reeeally getting her wish.) 

the fuselage group gets pretty comfortable contributing to everything everyone else is doing. they don’t exactly become a friend group right away, but they do get to know each other; in the first 40 days, all five of them sleep on the beach while half the group is still living in the caves. shelby and dot join boone and walt in shadowing john while he’s hunting, although unlike boone and walt, they both think john is weird and intense and that he kinda hates women. shelby tries to befriend shannon, though shannon is pretty sure she’s much cooler than shelby. dot hangs out with charlie and hurley and feels herself developing a little crush on the latter. nora doesn’t attract very much attention at all, but she becomes best friends with arzt (rip) and joins him in watching the tides. martha gets along with everyone, as usual - she’s either petting vincent or giving claire a back rub or sitting with rose or helping sun in her garden. and toni just goes where she’s needed, whether that’s hauling firewood or helping people build shelters or working on michael’s raft. all the girls recover enough luggage to stay warm, although tragically, none of the luggage includes shaving cream or razors 😔

in week one, martha spots both a horse and a polar bear. toni is the only one who believes her, so when jack doesn’t seem to care, toni motivates the other #teens to go on a hike to find it. shannon tags along too. along the way, they come across john and boone excavating the hatch. john is pissed, but thanks to the teen girl gossip network, the hatch becomes public info pretty quick.

in one of their first weeks there, rose sits down next to nora and comments on how both of them seem to be pretty invisible. they wind up talking for a while. rose mentions her husband and tells nora he was on the plane. nora empathizes, saying her sister was on it too. rose says she hopes rachel is safe with bernard. nora doesn’t believe either of them could possibly be alive, but she avoids saying so outright. rose knows what she’s thinking, though. from then on, she looks out for nora, and she asks some of the other adults she’s friendly with to do the same.  

in the tail group, linh dies promptly (rip) and rachel is left with the unenviable task of inspiring depressive sloth mode leah and panicked fatin so they can all stay alive. i still don’t know exactly how the Others choose who to kidnap, but assuming it makes sense, one of them goes for fatin and she proves to be a surprisingly ruthless fighter. ana lucia has already made it clear that she doesn’t respect any of the #teens except rachel, and rachel has no lost love for either of her peers either, but after fatin manages to knock out an assailant, both ana lucia and rachel find themselves beginning to respect her. 

after that, rachel and fatin really bond and the two of them both start working more closely with ana lucia, especially as the rest of their group starts dropping like flies. rachel is especially inclined to throw herself into leadership to distract herself from thinking about nora. she gets along nicely with ana lucia and sees eye to eye with her most of the time. leah lags behind the rest of them, trailing along with eko. they’re both depressed and often catch each other not sleeping. seeing what this level of self-loathing and depression looks like on someone else, leah starts to wonder if she should seriously try to get it together... but then she remembers jeff’s book and gets lost in that again. 

michael, jin and sawyer turn up, and once their identities are confirmed, bernard asks them about his wife. rachel watches with envy when sawyer confirms that rose is alive, but she holds off asking about her sister. she doesn’t want to be disappointed. two days go by before she finally asks. michael and sawyer never noticed a nora, too busy dealing with higher-level problems, but when rachel asks jin, there’s a spark of recognition. nora helped in sun’s garden sometimes. “nora,” he agrees when rachel says her name. rachel hopes that means something good. 

michael and jin guide the group across the island. leah takes note of michael’s grief and sees something familiar there. on him, it looks more like anger than depression, but she identifies with the despondency. one night, they have a conversation about loss and both of them feel a lot better after speaking. in the morning, leah shocks the group by volunteering for the first time to help carry sawyer’s stretcher -- one of the first times she actually takes on a task to help everyone else. 

they’re getting close when it happens - ana lucia sees movement in the trees and, anxiously, fires sawyer’s gun. shannon is killed. when she crumbles, the people who step up out of the trees behind her are not sayid, but the gang of teens from the fuselage. after martha’s polar bear hunt, and especially after boone’s death, they began hiking together more and more, feeling safer with each other than with any of the distracted and flighty adults. when shannon saw walt and sayid didn’t believe her, she asked the girls to go look with her, and they did. 

they mourn shannon. the sisters reunite. rachel and nora go for a swim in the ocean. fatin befriends dot and convinces her to go for it with hurley. martha reveals some edibles she found in someone’s luggage and the girls indulge in a wild trip. in the hatch, leah finds some new reading material and leaves jeff’s book on one of the shelves.

Desmond would HATE Liam and Oliver being detectives, especially homicide. While he may be more understanding of Liam, and kid who literally witnessed a murder, Oliver is a soft spoken lil cutie who needs to chill out. He’d def try taking Liam to a more, desk job approach and just tell Oliver straight up no.

Ezra LOVES the fact that Eliza, Emerson, and Emmy want to be bakers, his kids never leaving him would be his dream. However, it’s probably more like Eliza wants to host Great British Bake Off, Emerson wants to own his own bakery, and Emmy’s just a child and Ezra is projecting rn. Oh well.

Listen, I love this prompt, but Hanami could NEVER work at a desk or behind a computer. She probably watches CSI and gets super pumped about busting bad guys and she asks dad to explain it, but Mizu just bores her to death.

Sawyer of course always says Ivy and Iris are part of the family, but he probably doesn’t want them busting knees or head locking people. Although, he def teaches them how. For protection.

BACKGROUND:

There are two strange things that Emerson Yaxley knows as simple facts of her life from an early age. The first is that she knows that she doesn’t have a mother. At least that’s what she thinks her dad means when he first tries to explain in long rambling sentences to her why so many of the other kids in her class have two parents to draw in pictures, and she only has one. The second is she knows that she probably doesn’t have magic, even though her dad, and most of his friends do. It takes a little while longer for her to realize how both of those things are related, a little while longer still for her to realize she wishes she’d stop hearing about things she doesn’t have that make her life strange, and someone would tell her about secret, strange things she does have that make her life wonderful.

She’s one of the lucky ones, though, she knows. There’s never a point in which her dad makes her feel less for not having magic, and he makes sure she knows from the moment he tells her there’s a whole world of magic, and a whole world without that she can choose whatever she wants, no matter what. There’s never any illusion about things, so she’s in no-maj school from the start, makes friends easily who have no idea there’s another world, and she gets to grow up with them. She’s lucky that there are other people around, her dad’s friends who make it easier to understand, but it’s hard not to wish she could do all the things they can do, especially as she gets older and she’s around more and more people with magic, and realizes that most kids her age who have parents like her dad have magic. Unlike her.

One of the good things about being firmly rooted in the no-maj world is that her last name means nothing to her classmates, or her teachers, or anyone else she meets. It gets questions for its oddness sometimes, but they all end after she tells them her dad is Scottish. It’s different when she’s with her dad in the other world. There are stares, sometimes there are whispers, and it’s another one of those things that she doesn’t fully understand until she’s older, just what her dad’s family had done, exactly why they had had to run to America in the first place.

As all of that is happening, something else is, too. She knows that her mother is in England, knows that she doesn’t remember her or her dad because a lot of bad things happened right after Emerson was born because her mother didn’t have magic, either, and her dad’s family is full of bad, bad people. But she’s observant enough to realize even before her dad has a capital “t” talk with her that even things like that aren’t black and white. She likes having Athena around, and she can tell her dad likes having her around, too. He seems like he’s in a better mood more of the time, and it seems like it’s because of her. So she’s thrilled when she starts living with them, and she’s even more thrilled when they get married, partially because she gets to be the flower girl at the wedding.

But more importantly because everything feels a little warmer with the house fuller. It helps that she loves learning everything that Athena will teach her; she knows more about magical theory than most with magic, thanks to her, has all the helpful little enchantments she wants, could brew perfect potions on her own with her eyes closed. By the time she’s posed the question of if she wants to be a big sister—which, of course, she does—Athena isn’t Athena, she’s already mom to her. And when Jack and Cassandra Yaxley Falconer-Quinn are born, they’re not half-siblings, they’re just her siblings.

Still, there’s a serious conversation with her dad when she’s a teenager about whether or not she wants to try to find her mother. It’s a conversation she appreciates, even more so because she knows what her dad’s choice was once England was safe for him again, and he could’ve searched for her. And she considers it, has been considering it since she could understand fully what had happened and the complicated nature of all of it. How many times has she imagined seeing her mother for the first time, getting to hug her, and tell her just how alike they are? But she knows that’s not how it would go, because her mother doesn’t know she or her dad exist, doesn’t know magic exists. And considering it again, older now, makes her understand why her dad never chose to try to find her. It would be the selfish choice. It’s been years and years, and life keeps going, and it might be safe now to meet her, but her life didn’t stop moving once the memory charm hit her. She could have a family, a whole life that neither of them know about. It feels selfish to consider shaking her entire world to see if someone might be able to undo a years old memory charm, or even worse, to try to explain it all without undoing it. And they have a family here in America, a whole life her mother doesn’t know about, Emerson has her dad, and her mom, and her younger siblings. It leaves an ache in her chest, and she can’t help the tears that come with the decision, but she has no doubt in her mind that it’s the right one.

There are squibs who she knows of, and those as close to squib as the government says, who are happy living in the magical world, and she knows it would be possible, there’s so much innovation that you don’t need magic yourself to do a lot of things, and with her mom being who she is, she’s sure she would have it easier than most others out there trying to live in the wixen world without magic. But she can’t do the one thing she’s had her heart set on since she was little and her dad started introducing her to his friends at his old job, and she knows that she’ll never be fully satisfied in the wixen world if she’s not allowed to work as an auror. So when she graduates high school, and she’s a legal adult in both worlds, she makes the choice to live life in the no-maj world, a world where she could do whatever she wants.

Emerson decides that the best path to finding her own way, without all of the have nots hanging over her head, is to leave, at least for a few years. And leaving is easy for her, oddly enough, because of her dad, when she’s heard countless stories about how hard it was for him to leave because of who he is. Because she has an American passport, and a Scottish one, thanks to her dad, and there’s a manor sitting empty in Scotland with their last name on the deed, and no other Yaxleys left walking free to claim it. Her dad isn’t against it, per se, but she can tell he doesn’t like the idea of it. She wants to make something good of it, though, fix the place up, then get it off their hands so one of the last ties to that part of his life is gone; and she does like the idea of spiting the man who made it so she never knew her mother, and her father had to run. And once she’s made her mind up about something, there’s no use trying to stop her.

She gets into the University of Edinburgh easily, and she lists that address as her residence when she enrolls. And then she flies to Scotland, Kisky apparating ahead of her to help undo the wards around the manor, and make certain it was in a safe enough condition. She takes inspiration from her dad’s job at a private investigation firm, seeing the way he’s been able to keep doing the same good without being an auror on a squad that had put him through so much. They have jobs like that in the no-maj world, so she goes into forensic psychology, gets a degree, gets a masters, then plans to sell off the manor to some historical society or something, then head back to America to find a job.

It’s on a trip to London with some friends from school during holiday of her last year of her masters, before heading back to America for a few weeks until the new term. It’s at a flower stand in Covent Garden that she hears a name in the crowd, and looks around, unable to stop herself, and she sees her. There’s no way to be certain it’s her, and yet Emerson knows in her very soul that the woman in the pink dress looking up from a bouquet of a dozen blush roses at the sound of Sawyer called by a woman at the end of the aisle is her mother. It feels like a movie, everything slowing down and fading away but the moment she’s witnessing. She watches the way she smiles when she finds the other woman in the crowd, and she thinks her own smile looks a lot like hers, she watches her put the bouquet down and find her way to the woman, watches her kiss her cheek, take her hand, and then leave. And she knows they made the right choice. There’s no way to explain to her friends why she can’t stop the tears when she buys the bouquet of blush roses, but that doesn’t really matter.

She takes the flowers home when she leaves, and it feels a lot like closure of sorts. Her dad enchants the flowers to stay fresh forever, she leaves six with him, and takes six for herself, and it feels a lot like permission to keep going.

And it feels serendipitous that as soon as she’s back in Scotland to finish her masters, flowers in hand, she gets word from her dad that new laws were being passed, and suddenly she’s allowed to have the very thing she’s wanted since she was six.

The timing is too perfect, in the time it takes for all the changes to take effect, she has time to finish her degree, rid the Yaxleys of that stuffy old manor once and for all, and move back to America to prepare to do whatever she can to become an auror. And as soon as it’s all up and running, she’s accepted into the academy for people like her, and it’s no surprise she does well, determined to be living proof this should’ve been allowed a long time ago.

Two years later, she’s got interviews with both the Central Squad, and the Pacific Squad. The obvious choice is her parents’ old squad. It would make adjusting easier, still a few of her parents’ old friends around, but it would also make sure that not only would she have her lack of magic working against her, but she would be firmly in the shadows of her parents’ legacies. And she wants to make her own way. Plus, she’s always hated how gloomy Chicago is. She likes to think she was always meant to be in the sun, as cliche as it sounds.

So she moves to California, and starts with the Pacific Squad.

It’s not easy, of course, it was never going to be, but not one person could argue that she’s not excellent at her job. Her background in forensic psychology helps immensely, but so does everything that she learned from her parents. Sometimes she jokes that it’s lucky she doesn’t have magic, because it would be unfair to everyone else if she did on top of all her other skills. That doesn’t mean she wasn’t silently heartbroken the first time someone refused to take a case with her because of her lack of magic, it doesn’t mean she didn’t spend the next two weeks fluctuating between pissed off with the fact that’s even allowed, yet alone that someone would do it, and in tears convinced she should just go back to the no-maj world where she could be an expert with only the normal shitty prejudices, like gender, working against her. But she keeps going. The good people around her outweigh the awful, and she’s too stubborn to give any assholes the satisfaction of thinking they’re right that people without magic shouldn’t be aurors. No, she has every intention of proving those people wrong.

And she thinks she’s done a damn good job of it, so far.

1. First fandom I got involved in

So, funny story, the first fandom I was ever part of was Harry Potter when I was about... 17? I legit didn't even know fanfiction was a thing until I found it by accident on ff.n (ah, 2009, when I was young and untainted...). I didn't really ship anyone with anyone, I just mostly wrote stories about kids and teens having fun and adventures with magic!

(I actually only got a tumblr about a year or so ago, so I guess if that's what you mean by fandom, then SuperCorp was my first fandom that I was like *actually* involved in.)

BUT the first 'fanfic' I ever wrote was about E.T. when I was 7, and I wrote it with my cousin and drew the pictures and we stapled them together. Found it recently- it's not good, but there it is. Lmao

Honestly, some just pop into my head (Maggie Sawyer's Guide to Befriending Aliens, Fighting Crime, Saving the World, and Getting the Girl), some are working titles that just stuck (Hallmark), some were just too perfect not to use/I stole them from a different media (You, Me, Her), but a lot are from poems- I write the thing and the I look through the google results for things like 'poems about vines' (A Fruitless Vine) and 'poems about sisters' (For on this Day, We'll Give to Idleness). It Honestly depends on how much brainpower I have left when I'm done writing.

so to me, one of the hallmarks of a good piece of media is people willingly thinking about the characters after it’s over.

obviously, this isn’t like, a 100% success rate kind of thing. there are objectively good, enjoyable pieces of media out there that have no “fandom” type presence on the internet, because, while it exhibited great worldbuilding/storytelling/framing/what have you, it just wasn’t made up of the kinds of characters that people latch on to; the joke about avatar (2009) having less than 100 fics on ao3 despite being the best selling movie of all time for a solid decade is well known because of this phenomenon exactly. amazing cgi, solid plot, but at the end of the day, not that many people cared about jake sully. even still, i think this character-imprinting thing has an important, often overlooked role in intrinsically endearing people to movies that, outside of this factor, might be easily forgettable or even outright disliked. 

case in point: my movie of the day/week/month (how often do i post on this blog, anyway?)....

that’s right, lads, today i’m going to talk about the lost boys. 

if you’ve seen the lost boys, you’ll probably know that it’s not like, objectively, a masterpiece. in fact, if i were feeling particularly uncharitable, it would be easy for me to describe it as a fairly straightforward, low-budget horror b-movie, with a aesop-heavy and simplistic plot and a penchant for cheesy special effects, saved only by its rockin’ soundtrack.

...but i won’t.

i won’t, because using that description would leave out a detail i think it’s completely unfair of me not to touch on: the characters. i love them!! i was hooked from just about the very start of the movie by david’s creepy, affably evil leadership style, sam’s dorky little brother-ness, and michael’s 3cool5school airs. each of the characters, down to the frog brothers (named edgar and allan after the esteemed mr. poe, which really tickled me), the other lost boys, grandpa, lucy, and max, have their own distinct quirkiness that makes them memorable and draws me to want to explore more of their world, more of their stories. 

not enough to watch the infamous direct-to-dvd sequels, of course, but you get what i’m saying. 

there’s an old tip in writing that says something along the lines of “good characters can save a bad plot, but a good plot can’t save bad characters,” and that pretty much sums up my thoughts exactly on this movie. like, the plot itself is pretty much the message ‘peer pressure is bad’ wrapped up in some ugly monster makeup; not exactly cult classic material. however, like i’ve said, the characters and the fact that we get genuine, endearing interactions between them outside of just furthering the plot save it from the dumpster fire and, together, put together a story greater than the sum of its parts. no, it’s not a fuckin’ cinematic masterpiece by any stretch of the words, but it’s a fun movie, and there’s a reason i’ve watched it four times in the past three days, you know? 

(a good chunk of that reason was me slowly losing my grip on my sanity as i frantically put in the dvd over and over again, desperately trying to make myself attracted to kiefer sutherland so i could enjoy the movie to the fullest extent of my ability. i’m proud to announce a perfect success rate, and a slightly degraded sense of taste in men, reflecting the completion of that goal. 

if you too want to find something to lust after beyond his objectively ugly as sin face, trust me when i say it’s all in the voice. mmmmm) 

my favorite thing that the lost boys did was the exploration of different types of friendship and familial bonds. that’s the most striking thing about the movie for me; not only are the characters individuals whom i would like to explore, their interactions with each other are touching and worth exploring in their own right. there’s definitely something about some stories that drives people to write fanfiction (or is that just me? ha ha), and imo, the lost boys totally has it. in fact, while the fandom is sitting pretty at 600+ fics on ao3 (take that, avatar), i was honestly sort of surprised there weren’t more, exploring all the interesting ‘what if’s’ the film presented, and expounding on the bonds that we got to see the effects of in the limited screentime we had. 

what i liked about those bonds was that there were such a multitude of them. there were quite a few platonic bonds making up the crux of the movie (being, in my opinion, much more interesting than the main romantic bond which was explored through star and michael, although isn’t that kind of always the case in these 80′s teen movies? i can’t think of a single designated couple i was actually invested in except for veronica sawyer and jason dean... ferris bueller and sloane peterson, maybe? but i also feel like those two were making a cameron sandwich, so idk if it counts lol), but the way they were treated was cool in that they were unique: we got to see two different kinds of sibling bonds, with michael and sam emerson joking around in an easy, teasing way that totally screamed “wow, this movie was written by someone who actually has a brother” to me (isn’t it sad that some people have clearly never so much as seen a set of siblings in their life, judging by the way they write them?) while edgar and allan frog seem to take themselves more seriously, like a pair of army buddies, we got to see the pack-like bond of the lost boys and the (mostly) good-natured way they hazed michael into their group before things went to shit with them, we got to see star (and some of the lost boys, if you pay attention) being protective and maternal around laddie, and we got to see the uneasy alliance turned nerdy friendship between the frogs and sam. there are also three parent-child bonds that get explored, between lucy and her father (it’s a pretty sweet take on the kindhearted grown child taking care of senile-ish father thing) and lucy and her boys, each of which she has a distinct relationship with: sam is the baby, while michael she seems to level with and trust more, even after he starts getting into trouble and acting up. 

then of course there are two (three, if you count the widow johnson/grandpa emerson subplot, which.... i totally do) romantic relationships: star and michael falling in a sort of love-at-first-sight passionate relationship that soon dooms mikey and eventually saves star, while lucy tries her best to get back into the dating game with max, who is nefarious, of course, but also a little bit sad. remember what i said about what-ifs? i would love to see a fic exploring what might have happened had max’s plan worked out after all, but i guess that’s neither here nor there.

not to be a blatant slash shipper jumping on any two male characters who move or anything, but i think possibly the most important/influential relationship in the whole thing was that between david and michael; michael, obviously, got drawn into the lost boys’ circle by his insta-attraction to star, but he sticks around because of david. he pretty much ignores star once they get to the cliff that night, his attention focused on david because he’s there, and he’s intense, and michael is kind of a dumb bi bitch totally captivated. he drinks max’s blood at david’s taunting, and in direct opposition to star’s advice. there’s a lot i could say on this subject but tbh i’m running out of steam, so that might be a thing for a whole different post.

basically, there are a lot of cool interactions in this movie, and i think a lot of film makers could take note of that. even critically acclaimed, award winning movies being made in today’s world tend to fail to hit that special note, that character-imprintation which makes the audience not only stay engaged to the end, but also to care. not every movie needs that, of course; not everything can launch a darkhorse fandom the way the lost boys has, and honestly, not everything should... unless it’s trying to cater to my interests, in which case, well. 

if all movies were made to cater to my interests, i would have the time of my fucking life, but it’d probably be dark days for the rest of y’all.

thinking about it now, the lack of that element is kind of what makes me wary of the horror genre in the first place; i find so many of those movies just boring as all hell, because they’re too into the “scaring” thing without any of the “caring” thing. people, if we don’t care about the characters we’re watching, then who the fuck gives a shit if they get devoured by shitsucking vampires, anyway? finding the lost boys, a “horror” (i guess i use the term loosely) movie which relied heavily on those character interactions was honestly a godsend, because THIS is what i want to see more of. going down that line of thought, i think it’s honestly a shame and a half that the sequels which joel schumacher planned never got to see the light of day (and, of course, that we were instead left with the tribe, which for the life of me i refuse to fucking watch). the interactions between the lost boys could have been the most interesting part of the movie, if only they had been spotlighted a bit more. that would have been the case in the proposed prequel, the beginning, which would see the boys start out before they became vampires at all. reading about the script for that is honestly sending me, tbh. we could have seen that, and what we got instead were “sequels” that focused mainly on the frogs, when they connected to the original movie at all? where’s the fucking justice?

whatever. that’s the one thing about this franchise i never could stomach; all the damn frog brothers.
