#I want to mow lawn

I’m having the intrusive thought to cut/trim anything that’s trimable in sight…If I have a garden nothing would be able to grow and everyone will be bald

so many tips for budgeting/being frugal are just twice as hard when you have a disability

"meal plan!" idk if i'll be feeling well enough to cook every day so it's hard to plan for what to eat

"cook in advance!" i can't cook meals for a whole week at once and plus i can't count on that because again idk if ill feel okay to cook at the same time every week

"use cloth napkins and towels!" those need to be washed and folded, i already have trouble doing my laundry

"delivery is expensive, always shop in person!" going to the grocery store can wipe me out for the day.

"base your food shopping on whats on sale that week!" one, allergies are a thing and some people don't have that luxury, two, that's a lot that you have to prep for and that takes energy.

"DIY!" takes time and energy. maybe i could do it by myself but would it be worth all the time i need to take to recover?

i mean none of these are bad ideas or trying to exclude people. most of it is cutting out conveniences. but for disabled people, something that's a convenience for someone can be a necessity to others

Our house is far from finished, but thanks to my mom and husband now our living room is more complete than ever!

I think I’d like to get a rug for this space and eventually hang a small chandelier above the fireplace, and we still have a LOT of art to hang (you can see the skulls up to the right but they’re gonna be surrounded by other goodies) and we’re actually still not done painting but we’re getting there!

Is the dandelion poofy or still spiky?

I fully expect her to be eaten by a bunny by tomorrow, but I haven't seen a dandelion in my yard in the decade I've lived here so I'm excited lol. The people who live behind us have a big lot with a ton of trees that overhang our backyard, so for years we didn't get enough sun even for grass. But they had to cut down several trees last year and I'm so excited to have a backyard that isn't a dirt patch anymore!

6. What’s your favorite candle scent?

Okay, this is a little complicated. Because Husband is very sensitive to smells and can get migraines, I can't actually use a lot of the candle scents that I would like to. We mostly use like pine/woody/musky smells. With the occasional cinnamon/apple cider type vibes.

Yankee Candle has one called "Stargazing" that I love to sniff at the store, but it's just a little too floral for me to burn in the house.

I'm searching for the perfect "campfire" smelling candle because I know I'd find that very comforting, and it wouldn't cross into "problematic" scent profiles, but I haven't found it yet.

15. Comfort food?

Hannaford brand boxed mac & cheese, original flavor with 3 Diamonds canned tuna fish and salt and pepper. It can't be Kraft, and it has to be the original flavor (they recently came out with a white cheddar in the last few years👎). And it has to be 3 Diamonds tuna fish. I don't follow the milk/butter ratios—I know it's right by how it looks, y'know?

27. Do you like to garden? Have you ever grown something?

I do and I don't. I don't like digging in the dirt, weeding, planting, etc. But I do like having beautiful things to look at. So I have a lot of low maintenance houseplants (spider plants, snake plants, Christmas cactuses, etc.), and then in my yard (I don't have any "defined" flower beds) I plant perennials so that I don't have to worry about them from year to year.

The only thing that I currently have growing that I started as a seed (everything else is a transplant or a propagation) are Morning Glorys. They share a bed with my Hostas and are climbing up the pole my laundry line is attached to. They haven't flowered yet, but I have my fingers crossed. They're also only supposed to be annuals where I live, but my mom has successfully had them come back for repeated years, and she lives across town, so we'll see what happens next spring.

I also have two maple trees that I planted as the tiniest seedlings two years ago, and it's been very satisfying to watch them grow.

Husband keeps telling everyone about how we're going to get vegetable gardens, but then I have to remind him that I'm going to have to be the one maintaining his dream gardens because he'll just break out in hives 😔 So no vegetable gardens in the foreseeable future, lol

I think I saw a salamander? I was sitting on my front porch mustering the courage to mow the lawn (painful) and saw something move from the corner of my eye. I look over and there's a little lizardy looking thing sitting on the other edge of the porch. I don't think it was a lizard cause it was kind of shiny/wet looking? I wish I could've gotten a picture but as soon as I moved to take out my phone it scurried off into the grass. And now I don't want to mow even more.
