“The Inquisitor And Her Commander”

As some of you may have noticed, I am a huge fan of the Dragon Age games, especially Dragon Age Inquisition. Last year, I had planned on drawing all the main [playable] characters up until Dragon Age Day (which took place on December 4th), but I just didn’t have time to draw more than three characters (the Inquisitor, Solas, & Varric…please check them out in my gallery) due to being busy with work and other things. I’ll eventually draw the other characters when I gather more motivation to do so.

For now, please enjoy this piece. I hope everybody likes this. I worked very hard on this artwork. It took longer than usual to create, due to all the small details, the poses, & the armour. (Armour is not easy to draw for me!) For those of you who are DAI fans, you may recognize the flowers: Crystal Grace on the bottom and Andraste’s Grace on the top. I know Andraste’s Grace is not in DAI, but I thought it would be pretty to add to the artwork (since it technically exists in the Thedas world).

 My OC Inquisitor is named Bryony Trevelyan. She is actually my 2nd Inquisitor character, the first one having been an elf (which I may draw someday). I had been playing DAI for the 3rd time, a few months ago, as a male character (since I wanted him to be in a romance with Dorian, so yes, my male Inquisitor is gay), but I stopped for a bit since I am playing Skyrim at the moment (with updates & mods). Anyway, back on the main subject: I drew Inquisitor Bryony Trevelyan in the Armor of the Dragon Hunter outfit (from the Jaws of Hakkon DLC), which I had altered the colours by tinting it with Veil Quartz. I based her crown from concept art for DAI. So much armour in the game! Which I love, especially since the DA games don’t give female characters the stereotypical skimpy outfits…I love that I get to make my female characters wear bad-ass armour.

Cullen Rutherford is such an adorable and slightly awkward character around my Inquisitor. I knew I had to romance him right away, because his looks are the type of man I am attracted to in real life. (I’m not going to lie…in the game, he’s hot for a video game character. Ha ha!) I’ve always enjoyed the flirting in the DA games when it comes to the relationships. The best scene was right before their first kiss, when Cullen got interrupted by a member of the Inquisition, and then got mad about it. Ha ha. I liked when my Inquisitor asked Cullen, “The day you kissed me on the battlements…how long had you wanted to do that?” And Cullen replied (with a laugh), “Longer that I should admit.” Awwwww.

I also liked the part in the Winter Palace, when all these people were flirting with Cullen, and one asked him, “Are you married, Commander?” And Cullen replied, “Not yet, but I am…already taken.” Double awwww, because a loyal man is so dreamy. :3 I actually had Bryony & Cullen get married in the last DLC. :3 They adopt a Mabari (dog), too!

I love DAI too much. :D It’s such a fun game with the most gorgeous graphics (especially on the Xbox Series X).

Drawn with Sakura Pigma Micron pens, then coloured in with a mixture of Copic Markers & Ohuhu Markers. I used Koi Watercolours for the background. White accents done with both a gel pen and white watercolour. Gold acrylic was used for the Inquisition Symbol & the lines, which the scanner absolutely murders...the gold is such a pretty, shimmery metallic in real life. The light green around my art was done in Photoshop Elements.

So @queer-prosekai told me to do my own top 10 list of the sets + my favorite card of each, so here's some rules i set for myself

1- i have to REALLY like the full set, not just really like a card but a little less to the others (cough Saki in no seek no find, for one example. Though other sets have also triggered this rule)

2- i also am judging by card only, not the story, however. I am not completely good at this because a lot of the cards that are already good get to be way better because of the event behind it.

3- only counting the trained cards, not untrained, it would be a very different list.

ANYWAYS. LIST STARTS NOW:

10: LIGHT UP THE FIRE

Oh my poor child are you okay??? Going past how much i like this event. Which would get me here writing for hours mind you. I also just really like the set. The dark colors and the fact that in all 3 cards you can barely see color- its black and then each has their own color showing up, An has red, Toya has blue and Rin has white. It just gives a fucking impact on you looking at them. Would not change a thing, really.

9: WISHING TO THE BLUE SKY FOR YOUR HAPPINESS

Anyone else remembers qhen this set just totally broke us? Oh my god. I do. Shizuku in a suit. An in this pretty ass dress. I just cjsjcjsmcjsncjdj. It was mainly those two that really hit for me, specially An. But when it hit it hit hard man

8: SMILE OF A DREAMER

It was the first lim set, so it was really simple compared to what we get now. But simple doesn't mean bad. I really love the colors and idk man i have a soft spot for it i cant defend everything my brain is a dvd logo bouncing around😭

7: HEAR ME HOPEFUL SHOW

Angel Minori is one of the prettiest sets ever, it just isnt higher because personally i like some others more, doesn't mean this shit isnt fucking gorgeous. The lightning, the setting. I love this mmj card with everyone in it bc this is such a beautiful place???? Just. Licks this set like an ice cream then cries bc i ate the pretty ass set.

6: Someday, from the depths of despair

Lowkey i did not expect this one to be this high before i made this list. But it is just gorgeous setting, gorgeous lightning. It just makes my brain go brrrr looking at it.

5- What lies behind lies ahead

The hermit set has people in a chokehold for years, and for good reason. The hairstyles are pretty, the au ideas one can get out of it are yummy. AND THE CARD THEMSELVES ARE SO CKSJFKDK. All of them having this golden thing around as if hermit was a story told to us by images. It just could be a poster. Its certainly pretty enough to.

4: Our escape for survival

Sorry for the amount of niigo here. It will happen again. Niigo never misses. Anyways i just love this set sm. The lightning, muffled colors and backgrounds just hit so fucking hard. The rain shared on the 3 cards from the set is so symbolical and so is the clock and the engines on Mafuyu's and Luka's card. It tells us a story before we even read the event and that is beautiful.

3: Close game offline

I had to skip this set and i am still sad about it. Man the the the cmsucksjcjx aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa viddygame and neon.

I like silly, your honor. I also like water. Saki's card has both /hj. No but really i just really like the outfits and colors and just everything in this set it would be a CRIME to not have this here as a Saki stan. Just look at it!!!!

.. so, who's surprised? I can barely even find a favorite card in this set. From Kaitos . Kaito. (Does he need more?), Shizuku's gracefulness and beautifulness and Mafuyu just pretty and badass breaking the "screen"/mirror/window with an arrow. Its just soooooo ancjamvjsjchsjxncnsicjsv chomps.

HONORABLE MENTION:

Knock the future, which light up the fire took it off on a technicality (i like 3/3 cards on light up the fire and 2/3 on knock the future bc Honami is very meh compared to the others to me)

They all have their beautiful qualities, and all have their lil garbage ones. They’re all such well rounded characters HHHH, and I want to squeeze them all to death in my arms in one giant group hug.

They would probably hate/fear me if they ever were actually in my presence because, well, I’ve put all of them through some pretty fucked up shit. Some worse than others LOL.

Tappani and the Sand Dollar (old unfinished comic)

While relaxing on the beach, Tappani is approached by a kid with an unusual request.

This is something I did back in 2022. I never entirely finished it because my art skills really weren’t up to it, and the joke felt weak. Someday I will learn how to actually plan a comic.

Context stuff:

Vepri is the head of the necromancy organization, which has every necromancer in the world as a member. Necromancy is HEAVILY regulated in Sinirin — you’re not even allowed to learn it, you can only practice it if you’ve spontaneously done it at some point in your life (which is incredibly rare). This is out of fear that excessive use might destabilize the boundaries between the mortal world and the afterlife. Tappani doesn’t believe this, but begrudgingly follows Vepri’s rules (most of the time).

Tappani is a nonbinary trans man / demiman, and uses he/him exclusively.

Nelly (outdated name, it’s Mercé now) is his girlfriend. They’re T4T.

The spirit of the sand dollar floats larger-than-life over his head. Around him are a number of other spirits: a trilobite, a Dickinsonia, a Brachiosaurus, a generic bird, a Smilodon, a prehistoric ungulate (…the artist forgot what they were drawing here lmao) and the hand / wing of an early bird.

Image 5: The ghost of the sand dollar has now been brought into the mortal world, floating a few inches above its shell. The boy stares at the spirit in awe, and Tappani smiles back at him.

“What do you want to ask?” Tappani asks.

“Is the Sunken Continent real?!” the boy exclaims. (A footnote clarifies that the Sunken Continent is a children's story.)

Cut to an aside of Tappani thinking “shit what do I say”.

Tappani smiles wide. "They're saying 'Yes! And it's just like the stories'!" As he says this, he telepathically tells the sand dollar "Sorry for disturbing your rest." while also privately thinking "VEPRI IS GOING TO BLOW A FUSE".

The boy grins in joy, unaware that Tappani is lying to preserve his sense of wonder.

"Don't worry about it." Nelly assures him. "I believed in the Midnight Fisherman until I was 11, and I'm pretty well-adjusted, am I not?"

Jules was raised in Brindleton Bay by his single mother. (His parents divorced when he was young, and he was never very close with his father.)

He always had an interest in art and being creative, which his mother encouraged wholeheartedly, seeing as she's an art teacher at the local public school.

He spent hours in her studio in the attic of their little cottage house in BB, drawing and painting.

After graduating high school, he moved to San Myshuno to attend art school.

His favorite medium is painting, so that's what he focused on.

Now he's a decently successful artist. His paintings have been displayed in several galleries around the country.

His longest relationship to date was his college gf who he dated for 5 or 6 years. They broke up shortly after he sold his first few paintings.

Tired of countless failed relationships, he decided to apply to KMIK.

Jules is generally a pretty positive guy. He tries to see the good in things whenever he can.

He's kind of self-conscious when it comes to romance, partly due to his demisexuality (which he still is coming to terms with), and partly due to his parents' divorce. He's worried he won't ever find someone to spend the rest of his life with.

He likes dogs, and wouldn't be opposed to having one someday, but living in the city hasn't allowed that.

All he wants in a partner who loves him for who he is, and is supportive of his art.

When he's stressed, he spends a lot of time in his studio and paints for HOURS.

Sometimes you'll catch him with paint on his face that he didn't notice was there.

I’ve been seeing you get a lot of Asks about your art so sorry if this is getting repetitive but I wanted to ask how you went about developing your personal style? Do you have any particular inspirations or other artists you tried to emulate with how you draw? And is there anything you’d want to change/improve on with the way you currently draw?

Don't be sorry! I actually really prefer talking about it... It gets me thinking about things I don't normally get to think about, and I also really love sharing information about how I do what I do because I really believe in making all info as accessible as possible when it comes to art!

I am gonna put this under a break tho since it got pretty long;;

1. To me, building a style is about so many different, miniscule conscious and subconscious choices. A huge part of it has to do with the act of drawing itself... Like, how heavy handed I am, how I hold my pen, what lines physically feel good for me to make. Drawing is a stim for me, so all that stuff really matters. It made drawing a very physical thing. I like doing heavy-handed lines and ink splatters and grungy ink work because it feels good to do in real life, and also it looks cool. I can also replicate it on a tablet.

This is why even though my style might change slightly depending on what I'm drawing, there are still certain things that are consistent throughout:

So as well as using elements of things I liked in other people's styles (things like eye shapes, face shapes, etc.), being able to figure out how I liked drawing traditionally and experimenting with lots of different kinds of art supplies and methods of making art really helped a lot.

2. I spent a few months trying to draw like Gerald Scarfe in college... Though before that it was Egon Schiele... And in 6th grade I tried to draw like Jhonen Vazquez... And in 5th grade I tried to draw like Jamie Hewlett....

I think I'm pretty happy finally being able to draw mostly like myself, now.

Not that I don't get inspiration from artists of course... I'm still inspired by all those styles, as well as other artists I see on Twitter or Tumblr or while I'm around vending. I think it's important to surround yourself with the things that inspire you, especially if those things are coming from other artists. I just don't find myself emulating as much as I used to.

3. YEAH there's TONS of stuff I wanna get better at. I know I said this before but backgrounds and colors are two big ones for me. I have my safety color palettes, but I need to find more. Also backgrounds suck and I'm bad at perspective. BUT I'm trying to force myself to draw them more.

...Coloring backgrounds is double hard...

I also want to be able to make more interesting comic pages... and I need to get better at writing comics... and I also need to learn how to flat properly and quickly so I can do it for money.

I'm also slowly trying to get better at drawing stylized animals, but it's not a main focus yet.

Also I'm trying to improve my printmaking skills, since I'm not very good at relief carving yet.

Also I want to learn how to paint someday.

That last one's mostly out of spite tho.

Historical Hetalia Day Five: 1800 - 1945

Day 5: 1800 - 1945 // Shadows @historical-hetalia-week

When making this piece, I'd been having Thoughts about the potential relationship dynamics between Nyo!Prussia and Germany. Then I happened to stumble upon a glorious mess of a German dress, and this happened. My only regret is making Germany so damn young when (judging by canon, vaguely) he's prooooobably an adult at this point.

More of an explanation is under the cut!

Let's start with Prussia, since the idea for this piece only began to be truly conceptualised upon finding that goddamn dress. Here it is, by the way:

It's from the book "Ein Hauch von Eleganz: 200 Jahre Mode in Bremen" (A Breath of Elegance: 200 Years of Fashion in Bremen)- which appears to have been created on behalf of the Bremen Museum of Art and Cultural History (you'll have to forgive me if that's incorrect- my German is still a work in progress!)

The moment I laid eyes on this, I knew for a fact Prussia would wear this. The dress is tacky, bewildering, and absolutely delightful.

It's dated to 1885, so take that as a loose setting (beyond just '1800s') for this piece. However, the dress is likely the only sure piece of proof you'll find of this. For one, Prussia's hair (nevermind that it hasn't been styled) does not fit the fashionable cut of the time. Women tended to cut their hair short at the front, and then curl those bangs. However, I have a headcanon relating to N!Prussia's hair/general sense of identity (a very long story, that I'd rather save for its own post... maybe... someday... than shove in here!) that makes me think she'd not be so inclined as to cut it. While here, in the privacy of her residence, she doesn't bother to even style here hair- though this is likely a different case in public.

As for what she's doing? Probably preaching about her awesomeness!

At the time of making this, I'd just recently discovered a 3 part series focusing on Prussia's life (uploaded to Youtube by rano) originally from Bilibili (here's part one). I'd adored a fair few of the outfits throughout the series, but two of little Germany's stood out to me:

I'd asked my parents to vote on which one they liked better, and they picked the one you now see! Fun fact: in the video's rendition of the outfit, all those little specks on the vest are tiny patterns. Prussia's dress was enough for me y'all, no way was I gonna be able to draw those on too (｀Д´)

The background is inspired by this image of a room in Sanssouci Palace, built by Frederick the Great of Prussia:

I didn't want to overload the piece with red, so I changed up that colour- but the patterns below the bench Prussia and Germany are sat on are based on the patterns bordering the bottom of the walls.

Daily update on into the eyes of fire, on yesterday and on today

You‘re so right. Being a perfectionist for me often means that I will not do something at all. Having that mixed with executive dysfunction just doesn’t work out great most of the time.

I had two friends coming over (that also stayed with me for the night) and it was really nice. We managed to finish watching season two of the Witcher, complained about overpowered characters and bad writing together

Then my ADHD kicked in as the others got really tired (they have a nighttime routine that took soooo long, goodness. I‘m glad if I’m able to brush my teeth for 3 minutes). It was pretty funny tho (I put this TikTok sound with „more passion, more passion, more energy, more energy, more footwork…“ on, held the speaker in my hands and danced around (it was a lot of fun tbh. I missed having these random bursts of energy, often caused by having a lot of sugar). It also made me tired so I got to sleep after that

Yeah! Casual nudity ghouls are awesome (they also made me more comfy with nudity, to the point of me running around shirtless at home from time to time. Yesterday even when my friends were over (it was so fucking hot). Like, I was always pretty comfy with nudity, but not to that point)

I did indeed get some drawing done! I finished the third panel of four on the third page (I just need the backgrounds for those first three as well, but I wanna do them all at once)

Today I had a lot of work to do and technically still do, but I am beyond tired and just gave up. Tomorrow will be two checkups and I’m absolutely not ready for one, but I fucking can’t anymore. I‘ll just try with luck because honestly, there is no way in hell I’m able to function enough to do work right now (I’m already glad that I managed to eat something now because my bloodsugar is probably way too low and I think it’s the reason for why I feel so terrible (physically) right now, so I think I’ll look for a sugary drink as well)

I have a headache but I’m really hoping that I‘ll be able to draw for at least an hour now, and that I’ll possibly even finish the third page

Yay progress!! You've done so much work on it this week! I've gotten almost nothing actually finished this week, but it's ok. Sometimes things are just like that. I have a crochet project I'm hoping to finish today. And someday I'll get back into a consistent writing schedule, but probably not today. And your night with your friends sounds so fun!! All of my close friends live at least an hour and a half away from me at this point. So I don't get to have those nights as often as I used to. I hope everything went/goes well today. I draw using Procreate 99.9% of the time. But I also have Sketchbook, Pixel Studio, Rough Animator, and FlipaClip on my iPad. On my computer I have Paint Tool SAI and Krita.

2. Is it easier to draw someone facing left or right (or forward even)

Forward 100%, but left is easier then right.

3. What ideas come from when you were little

Animations, of any kind. I was really into animation memes back when I really was drawing and drew a shit ton, and I got a lot of inspo from that!

4. Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw

My Avali character, she's so pretty and smol but she is a PAIN to draw...

5. Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself

On here I only really post stuff with Zee I think ? But I usually post all serious art (so excluding doodles unless I'm really proud of them)

I don't know, I guess my dreams? Well I don't dream a lot, it's mostly nightmares, but sometimes I'll still get inspo. Also a lot of my older characters were based on my issues, such as self esteem issues, imposters syndrome, depression, etc etc.

Painting. I sometimes paint, only really for crafts though. It's not really my thing, but god some people are FANTASTIC.

I've planned lots of little games I wanted to do with my OCs. I wouldn't really say I lost interest in the long term. I'd like to still do them someday, but right now I don't know. Are you named after anyone?

No, I'm told my parents thought really long about my name until my mom woke up in the middle of the night and suddenly just knew.

When was the last time you cried?

Yesterday lmao, after finishing gankutsuou. (And saturday after watching an ep of gankutsuou, and last wednesday when I went to see the Aida musical...)

Do you have kids?

Nope, maybe someday maybe not.

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Not really, when I'm in a certain mood with friends then yes but otherwise I just say what I mean.

What sports do you play?

I have a horse so horseriding, aside from that I don't really do sports. I used to do sailing until I was 16, and now I do it ocassionally with a friend or with my dad, and I used to do streetdance when I was little. I do love to hike though! Always loved the adventurous vacations my parents used to take me n my siblings on and we'd go for hikes through forests and mountains, I'd love to do that again sometime.

What's the first thing you notice about people?

I'm not sure actually, the way people talk maybe? I often pay attention to eye color as well for some reason.

What's your eye color?

Brown, a little darker than my dad and a little lighter than my brother :)

Scary movies or happy endings?

Both? I like all kinds of movies. Though I never watch scary movies alone lmao no fun in getting scared if you can't laugh about it with someone else. Happy endings always make me very emotional, especially if it's done well. Tho endings in general are pretty emotional to me, no matter if it's happy or not.

Any special talents?

Remembering song lyrics! If there's a song that I, anywhere in my life, knew completely, there's a big chance I still do. I learn pretty quick too, considering I memorized a song from the aida musical last week in like. 3 days. (I do have to mention those were a few days of non stop listening to it)

Where were you born?

Netherlands! Specifically a very small town in north Holland, all the way at the top of the province. It's located above sea level on what used to be an island up until about 200 years ago, and now that I've moved out I live in a different small town on that same island (like 3 km from my parents house).

What are your hobbies?

Drawing, reading, listening to music and picking out background instruments, playing piano (tho I don't do it so often anymore), watching anime, playing games (esp totk and genshin atm) and I really enjoy being outside with my dog or my horse or just being in nature in general.

Do you have any pets?

My sweet puppy hannah (she's 5 and huge but still forever a puppy), my cats samson and gert (named after a belgium tv show for kids) and me and my sister have two horses named mira and april. Mira is almost 24 and deep deep inside really sweet but can be kinda mean on the outside and april is almost 13 and loves cuddling :). I'm almost everyday at my parents house so I think those pets count too, so there's billie and borre (two dogs), kebab and bobbie (sheep), scooby (cat who is 10? Older? Idk) and the 5 chickens who don't really have names so we just call them "the chickies". Also Teddie's cat tijger is staying with me atm and he's a cutie :).

1 meter 68, which I'm totally fine with. Tho it is a little weird that my little brother who's 7 years younger is taller than me now.

Favorite subject in school?

I didn't really have one tbh, but if I had to choose probably english? That one was the easiest for me so I didn't mind it.

Dream job?

My dream is to live on a small farm consisting of a little house with some property around it for my animals, and to spend my days doing my silly hobbies and spending a lot of time outside walking my dog or riding my horse. winter inspiration — headcanon, playlist & aesthetic

summary — inspiration falls differently with each season, except this winter seems like the longest one yet. gyujeong’s been writing less music despite having a surge of inspiration. inspiration comes from different parts of his day to day life, and where he draws the most is where he tends to continue pursuing. lately, it consists of writing, anime and son yejin. playlist summary — though he’s only really influenced by drake’s albums, sometimes gyujeong finds himself in a predicament when he listens to the same track on and on again. these songs give him some sort of inspiration of the music he’d want to create. yet, it becomes thwarted by the reminder that when given the musical freedom, he’s only left to make shitty ultraviolet edm beats. despite this, he continues to curate playlists for the sake of getting to it later, using it as fuel for himself to someday make better music than his current situation. this playlist is a mixed bag of genre as gyujeong’s been here and there with what inspires him. wc — 552

yeah, gyu’s a bit weird in what inspires him this winter — nothing is really coherent. and that’s the gist of his inspiration — incoherencies, and that’s what he’s just drawn to

classical music — gyujeong has a background in classical music because he used to go to piano hakwon everyday as a child. his mother thought it was mandatory that all her children learn how to play the piano, and turns out, gyujeong was quite good at it. he was the best out of his siblings, and he learned pretty quickly. now, after being in the industry for so long, he strayed away from it but somehow he landed on the weird side of youtube at 3am where it led him to a few bach and beethoven pieces, so that’s now what plays as his background music instead of his guilty pleasure (600 lbs life).

drake — everyone can shit on drake all they want, but gyujeong will defend drake till the very end. he doesn’t know why he vibes with drake so much (well, probably because he’s a lonely loser that doesn’t know anything), but he does. drake releases a new album? gyujeong streams it along with streaming old drake songs. the old love songs that made drake a meme? those are gyujeong’s favorite and he’s having fun with the meme-factor of it

dynamite — he thinks this song is hilarious. from the lyrics to how it was marketed, he thinks it’s funny. feels bad for polaris, but also finds it intriguing how a song can elicit so much laughter from him. because of that, it’s his inspiration to write beyond sad songs and start to write comical humor

the other songs are just classics that give him a taste of nostalgia for an era he never lived in. they’re more superficial inspirations? so, he doesn’t put that much thought beyond that the sounds were so raw back then, the mastering wasn’t as pristine, yet they stay true to the test of time. longevity — he wants that.

anime — he’s always inspired by anime, but lately it’s been a lot of makoto shinkai movies. he hasn’t been watching series, but been watching straight up romance anime movies because it makes him cry, and he enjoys living vicariously within a fictional world. it swallows him whole and he considers it a profound experience everyone should try

writing — he’s never been a journaler because he finds the concept annoying. writing feels like a chore, but he finds that when he scribbles down one or two thoughts he had in the day or what he did that day, it pieces together a familiarity for when he goes back. plus, writing one or two thoughts doesn’t consist of a page and fits his lazy ass <3

son yejin — in addition to makoto shinkai movies, gyujeong’s been watching a lot of old son yejin movies and dramas. he’s named her his ideal type once or twice, with the explanation: he hasn’t seen anyone more beautiful when they cry and he likes dog faces more than cat faces. he likes to pretend he’s the co-star in whatever she’s starring in, and try to write songs that paint a picture to her tears. this is SO lame, i know. but since he’s been in a sadder mood lately, he writes break up songs about son yejin instead of thinking about his ex : )

silm scene animatic: actually an adaptation of a fic about a silm scene. specifically the meeting of thingol and melian

pros: i already have some rough thumbnails. i wanna improve at animatics and this is a way to do so.

cons: would require me to find music for it and play around with it

2. properly plan the webcomic idea and make a webcomic

the comic idea is about a seasonal goods store set in a world where "apocalyptic" events are a seasonal occurrence. the story starts off at the start of may, which marks the beginning of the "mutant sea creatures fly in from giant portal in the sky" event. accordingly, the seasonal goods store becomes a fish soup restaurant

the actual comic is just a slice of life about the seasonal goods store which is run by a granny + grandson combo and their life with a vague overarching plot about how climate change Something is causing the seasonal events to overlap, leading to chaos

pros: i really really wanna do this. it might help me learn how to draw people better + backgrounds, two things i want to improve on. i have the first ch/prologue ch basically done

cons: im shit at drawing comics. i get tired easily doing repetitive art. i'd have to do it in long comic strip style because i dont have a program that easily accommodates manga style, and even then I'd need to get used to CSP pro because my beloved krita is not very comic friendly tbh

3. finish my painting wips

namely these two + a smaller one

pros: i get to finish paintings and presumably improve my ability to draw cats and perspective as i try and figure out how this works. then i can move onto other paintings

cons: cat anatomy is kicking my butt. perspective and buildings are my weaknesses. there's nowhere to hang these tbh so they'd lounge about unless i sell them???
