What if... yan prince, with knight apprentice reader? Reader's father was the army cheif and she's the daughter who is ambitious, wanting to become just like her father in future.

Where does the prince comes in the story. They are playdates. But instead of playing house they play with swords, bows and arrows. As they grow up, the reader is assigned as his personal guard, but after a near death experience for reader while saving the prince, he realizes that how much more precious his knight is to him. Like a rare treasure. One he wishes to keep himself only.

Well, let's see, shall we?

Yandere! Emperor name: Callisto (yes, name is from Villains are Destined to Die manhwa (´▽`)❀.)

Quite the arrogant kid. A brat, someone who thinks highly of himself because he's a prince, and a smug piece of--

Anyways...

Born as the Emperor's fifth child and the third son, he's always faded into the background. That's why he acts up in order to get into his father's radar.

His mother, a travelling dancer, got pregnant by the Emperor when they met at the fare. She immediately rose to become a concubine, and due to her ethereal beauty, Callisto inherited her looks.

And despite not being the crown prince, Callisto is favoured by the Emperor due to his mother being the apple of the Emperor's eye.

So other than being an arrogant mama's boy, what are his redeeming qualities?

Well...

He's smart, and actually politically intelligent. Even though he's still quite young, he grasped the way a monarchy run and how the state is affected by the aristocrats and the Imperial family's decision. He sometimes pipe up to say opinions and queries that even adult nobles cannot comprehend.

Why is this guy not the crown prince yet?

Callisto, having a rivalry with the current crown prince, Yuno, always bullied the boy.

Due to the current Empress being out of favor due to the Emperor's new concubine, Callisto, despite being younger than Yuno for two years, eagerly pushed down Yuno down. Somewhere he apparently belongs.

Everyday, whenever they meet at the academy, Callisto always finds a way to humiliate the boy. Tripping him, ripping his uniform, dumping dirt or bugs, anything.

This created a weird superiority + inferiority complex inside Yuno as he runs to his fiance.

Well, Callisto doesn't care.

His mother asked the Emperor to not give Callisto a fiance yet, saying that he "needs to find true love like how they met each other". When in reality, His mother is cunning, and wants to find a fiance for him personally. Someone easy to rope into their side and not be a perpetual spy for the other princes, princesses, and concubines. Especially the Empress'.

And so, even though Callisto doesn't have a fiance, he does a companion.

From the rigorous trickling of numerous proposals into one, you emerged victorious.

Someone who serves the Imperial Family, but is known to be quite the strong opposition to the Emperor who keeps him checked, the Captain of the Imperial Knights. He's married, and had a family with you as the daughter.

Strong, upright, and righteous, you inherited your father's sense of duty yet the strong sense of camaraderie and service to the people. Same as Callisto, despite being young, you had quite the righteous view of the world. Someone so helpful yet to nihilistic towards the Imperial Family even in a not so direct way.

The first time you two met was unfavorable.

He immediately tossed a sword to your way and without a moment of hesitation, tried to stab you. You parried quite well, making Callisto smirk in arrogance as he hopped back.

He found you interesting. A girl, wanting to be a knight? Preposterous!

Yet, admirable.

He liked seeing you scramble to keep up with lessons.

Sure, you're talented, but that made people hate you more due to your gender.

So, why not help, right?

Callisto would always watch you practice. His eyes never leaving you as you struggled to fight with the misogynistic teacher, the arrogant teammates, and the pressure burdening you.

And, when it got too much, he would interrupt the lessons by tossing a sword to you again and sparring.

It did stop the bullying momentarily, but god did it put you in trouble.

Drills upon drills, they punished you for interrupting the lessons despite Callisto doing it! The reason why it's you? It's because he's a prince, and the son of the beloved Concubine.

Of course.

This made your relationship with Callisto wonky. More like an enemies forced to be together for politics. But in a platonic way.

And years passed...

Callisto, now 22 years old, finds himself watching his stupid crown prince of a brother fumble his fiance as he dances with a random girl named Elisia.

Sure, she's pretty, but he always thought Yuno is head over heels for his fiance.

"Pfft. Such a fucking disgrace." He cracked his neck and got off the pillar to go to his father, the Emperor.

The Emperor is rightfully angry, seeing his son humiliate him over and over again.

"Father, I think you should really reconsider his position now." Callisto whispered, watching as Yuno pull Elisia to the balcony to do god knows what. "Hell, i'd rather have that weirdo of a hero who suddenly appeared one day to be the crown prince."

Callisto frowned as he remembered the man who suddenly appeared in the throne room. Now a Marquis, Aeron is steadily becoming a powerful man, and Callisto intends to bring him to his side once he...

He looked at the Emperor who shivered in fear from the mention of Aeron. He remembered how the Emperor sent that man to a suicide mission. It was honestly disgusting, but Callisto can't do anything other than try to send him party members.

"Yet those fuckers continue to betray him. What the fuck." He mumbled to himself before clearing his throat. "Father, what do you think? I even think Duke Eros is good for the position."

Duke Eros also, an eccentric man. Cold blooded and someone sharp, yet invents these infrastructures and weird devices that pioneers technology. A term he coined. An odd fellow, but Callisto likes the Duke due to being one of the people who can oppose the Emperor without that much backlash and resistance due to his own power and authority.

He's also someone who Callisto needs to look out about.

Honestly, the Emperor is never a good man. He's a greedy man, creating enemies left and right due to his pride and his habit of stealing money from the coffers of the people. Tax money? Pocketed. Jewels? Stolen. Government? Corrupt. Everything is fucked up in his reign that Callisto is having a hard time thinking of what to do.

So, why not usurp the throne?

His mother, who rose to be the Empress, has laid down a path for him. And all he has to do is to follow diligently.

His eyes scanned the ballroom to find his sweet little playmate.

There you are, eyes scanning the crowd for potential threats and assassins.

He felt bad, not letting you know of the plans. But he needs to do this. If he wants you to survive the usurpation, keeping you in the dark is what he needs to do.

The Emperor grunted, finally relenting to his son's will.

"Alright. I'm taking off Yuno from the crown prince position." The Emperor said, rubbing his temples.

Callisto secretly smirked, one of his plans finally bearing fruit.

"Thank you father. That will be enough. I don't think Yuno is qualified to be the next Emperor. He's too... Impulsive, and doesn't see the path you laid down for him." Callisto praised him, fueling the Emperor's Ego and lowering Yuno's reputation more.

"Yes yes... Go forth and call my Prime Minister. I need to discuss Yuno's abdication as soon as possible." Callisto nodded before going away from the ball to call the prime Minister.

Of course, you're diligently following him like the puppy you are.

And yes, you became his personal guard after graduating from the Knight training. Sure, you could have joined the ranks, yet Callisto here asked his father to make you his personal guard.

Not able to reject an order from the Emperor, you had no choice but to comply to his wishes.

"Hey, you're on my side, right?" Callisto asked, suddenly stopping in the middle of the long hallway. The moonlight filtering through the giant windows made an eerie yet despondent shadow on Callisto as you cleared your throat.

"Yes, your highness." You muttered.

"Then, let this be a test if you are actually on my side."

Suddenly, the windows broke, shattering the glass and the protective barrier placed on the palace.

Immediately, you unsheathed your sword and dashed to attack the intruder who crashed through the window. Cloaked with a dagger in hand, he tried to reach Callisto who's only leaning on the wall with his arms crossed.

"Your highness! Please run!" You yelled, pushing back the assassin as you prepared for another collision.

"Nah. I actually want to see this." He chuckled and watched your body move and glide across the hall to fight off this unusually strong opponent.

Callisto's eyes was enticed by the way your form flexed under pressure and under the force of such a strong oponent.

Seeing you struggle and not complain was enough for him.

"Okay, big girl. Come on let's stop this. Just kill the man."

But before he could come up to you and help you stop the assassin, he saw you kill the assassin and look at him in a shocked stare.

It happened so fast.

He felt you grab his body as you shielded him with yours.

Then, a warm liquid spilling onto him.

His eyes zeroed on an another cloaked man with a dagger, stabbing your shoulder.

You slumped down on his.

You felt soft, warm, yet he oddly felt lightheaded.

When he came to his wits once more, he's cradling your body with the cloaked man's body mangled on the floor.

Carrying you, he ran to the royal hospital. He's soaked in blood, your blood.

He felt helpless for the first time as he demanded for one of his servants to call for his mother.

Yeah, maybe his mother would know what to do as you fought for your life.

It felt like a blur as he saw his mother run to him, carrying her heavy gown as she kneeled to him. Oh? Callisto is kneeling? When did that happen?

He felt his mother brush away his tears. Tears? When did that happen too?

Once more, a blur as he fainted.

He feels like he's floating on the sea as he confronted a man. He also looks the same age as him, maybe a bit older. The man looked at him with a smile.

There and then, the man, who proclaimed himself as god, told Callisto that he's the protagonist of a "media". He forgot if it's a novel or whatever a videogame is, but he knows that he's the most favored character of this god.

He scoffed.

"So, if I am the favored one, then why..." His voice shook. "WHY IS MY BELOVED FIGHTING FOR HER LIFE FOR ME?!"

It took almost everything inside of him to admit that he loves you, but he doesn't care anymore.

The god whispered that it's the part of the plot, and that he should just let fate run its course. He assured Callisto that you will be okay.

Callisto nodded, heaving a bit before giving the god a cold glare.

"So, if I am this protagonist, this ever so important character..." Callisto murmured. "I can get away with anything... Right?"

"Right?"

The sheath of a sword, and a heavy, wet plop on the carpeted floor became the backdrop for the sound of victorious yells.

Callisto sighed, cracking his neck as he got out of the castle, and out of the Kingdom to their East.

"Emperor Callisto! What shall we do with the captured servants?" One of the knights asked, and Callisto cleared his throat, thinking.

"Put them in the dungeon back in the Empire. I still have to think on what to do with them."

With the knights bowing, they dispersed as Callisto immediately teleported back to the Palace.

After learning that the previous Emperor was the one who sent the assassins, he almost broke his facade.

It seems that the Empress didn't seduce the Emperor enough to make sure he didn't doubt Callisto.

Yet, he doesn't care about that.

He only cared about the fact that the Emperor almost killed you.

With the guarantee that he won't have any dire consequences due to being the "protagonist", he immediately went to Marquis Aeron to assassinate the Emperor with his sprites.

Aeron gladly did it, giving two sprites to Callisto as they phased through the walls and kill off the Emperor in his sleep.

And, while the chaos of the sudden death of the Emperor, he challenged Yuno to a duel for the throne. Yuno, who just got his engagement annulled and watched as his fiance became Duke Eros', he's scrambling to bring back his pride and dignity.

Yet, the "protagonist" cheat proved right as he won by landslide. Beating Yuno black and blue and becoming Emperor.

His mother, proud as her son finally took the path she intended for him to have, became Empress dowager.

Where are you in this situation?

You were in a coma like state. The dagger, having poison, took a toll on your body. So, you did not witness the way he avenged you and took the throne for himself.

And when you woke up, you only heard of the assassination, and knew he's behind it.

"Callisto! You killed your father?!" You confronted him, appalled. And Callisto, surprised by your anger, only laughed in disbelief.

He avenged you, and you're angry? "Yeah, I did."

"You know that all of the people in this Empire knew you're the one who assassinated the Emperor." You glowered.

"How do you even know that?" Callisto smirked, shrugging as he took a seat on the throne. "They don't. You're deceiving yourself, big girl."

"Do not call me that." Your jaw tightened, eyes in anger and annoyance. "They will know. I just feel it."

Callisto frowned. How dare you say that when he's the protagonist? He's practically invincible.

"Are you threatening me, y/n?" He stood up. Suddenly, he didn't feel like the childhood friend you have. He feels imposing, too far for you to reach, a wall so thick you can't even comprehend.

"I avenged you. I killed my father for you. Those assassins? He ordered for them to kill me." He laughed, eyes wide with annoyance. "And you, a mere woman dares to not see the grace I gave?"

You laughed in disbelief.

DId he just...

"And I do thank you y/n for shielding me. It made me realize something. Your loyalty is something I need by my side."

He held out his hand, holding out for you to grab.

"Be my Empress. You're my most loyal dog. And you have a good eye for politics." Callisto proposed. "I can spoil you greatly, give you riches beyond your dreams. Just be my pretty, loyal, dog, or doll. If you're into that."

You gripped your hand into a fist, eyes ablaze with anger.

"I will not. Women are not mere dogs, nor do I need to say yes to your proposal." You spat out. "And I am not going to be yours. Never yours."

When did he become such a deplorable man? Someone so full of himself? He already was, but at least he's logical and never demeaning.

But this?

"I will correct myself. I knew that the people will know that it's you because you're the only one who is close to Marquis Aeron and Duke Eros, two of the well known opposition to the Emperor before, amongst the Imperial children. And you used Marquis' sprites, which only those who defeated the demon king can wield. And, Marquis Aeron is not the emperor now, but you. HIS FRIEND." You smirked bitterly.

"What? People are stupid! They won't realize that!"

"HAH!" You rasped out. "Even still, it will instill doubt in them. Other than that, I will abdicate myself as your personal guard. Fuck. You. Callisto."

Callisto's eyes widened as you turned your back to him, marching outside with a slam.

When he came back to his wits, he seethed in frustration and decided to take a breather. Anger is riddling him.

But once he calmed down and tried to summon for you, he just heard from your father that you ran away.

He scoffed.

As if you can run away from him.

But you disappeared. With such a meticulous way to vanish, nobody can track you at all.

As if you never existed in the first place.

He felt his body run cold.

Where did you go?

Where did you vanish to?

"Y/N!!"

He went mad trying to find you, tirelessly combing through the Empire without stopping.

It was only a year later that a lead was given.

You're out of the Empire. That's it.

Manic, Callisto decided to do the extreme to scare you out.

Now known as the warfreak Emperor, he reigned fear and blood onto other territories as he decimated every place just to find you.

His blood running cold, his time running out, and his patience running thin,

Once he finds you, you know you can't escape from his shackles. Literal or not.

And he will continue the bloodshed for you.

And this heavy burden and sin will be on your shoulder the longer you don't return to his arms.

Y'know, I post a lot on tumblr about what a shit Guillermo is, and I stand by that. He is a marvelous little shit. But honestly I only talk about it so much because people on tumblr and AO3 send me so many messages about how he's never done anything wrong in his life. When I'm presented with the opposite, that Guillermo is uniquely awful and selfish and he victimizes the poor uwu vampires (thinkpieces that you saw a lot more often during s3) I am fully like "I STAND BY EVERY DECISION THAT FOOLISH MAN HAS EVER MADE."

Being real with you, I feel like talking about Guillermo like he's totally blameless and put-upon or like he's totally selfish and wholly evil flattens a really complex and interesting character. He's selfish and self-involved and cruel and sweet and insecure and giving. He's all those things, and I love that about him.

I love Guillermo as a character because he has these carefully constructed categories in his head, these rules and boundaries that he sticks to like glue. He contains multitudes, and it's because he carefully follows the rules he has in his own head, even when they don't make a lot of sense to others.

I think the best way to think about Guillermo's actions is to think about him having two very different sets of rules for in-groups and out-groups. He will bend over backward for people in his in-group, will be the kindest, most patient, sweetest man in the world -- but he can be downright vicious to people in the out-group.

This is a pretty common occurrence IRL, though not always to the degree that Guillermo does it... I mean, you're going to treat your best friend's birthday differently than you're gonna treat a stranger's, right? When you start seeing it happen the way Guillermo does it, though, it's often to create and preserve power. You see it in politics, high school cliques, religion, etc.

For example, let's take new religious movements (or NRMs, i.e. "cults".) They are famous for this behavior. When you create distinct in-groups and out-groups and can behave very differently towards both, you give your followers a strong incentive to stay in the in-group. It makes them feel like they're the "good" ones, the superior ones, the ones with power. The ones that belong. And when they see out-groups being mistreated, well. No one wants to be in the group with no power who's mistreated, y'know? It simultaneously gives people in the in-group a sense of community, belonging, and social superiority and makes them afraid to leave.

But really, you see it all the time. If you have a "good" group that you can never harm and a "bad" group that you can do anything to, that really helps prop up power structures in a lot of ways. Look, I'm not going to get into this too much more because you don't want a freaking academic lecture on your dash, but suffice it to say that I think Guillermo is largely using his in-groups and out-groups in this way, mentally speaking.

He has in-groups (his friends, his family, his boyfriend, the vampires he lives with) and out-groups (literally everyone else, including other vampires) and he badly mistreats the out-groups because he does not want to be one of them. I've noticed he's particularly awful to human prey that reminds him of himself (nerdy, socially awkward, powerless, virginal) and I think that's because he wants to distance himself from them. He wants to make sure no one mistakes him as being part of that group, so he very strongly pushes them into his out-group by not only killing them, but making fun of them and often making sure they suffer before they die.

And then he's even more slavishly devoted to his in-groups, partially because he does truly love them, but partially because he desperately wants to stay in those groups. Or because he's trying to protect his own hide.

I don't mean to say that every kind thing he does is calculated -- I do think he very genuinely wants to make the people he loves happy -- but there's a sort of desperation to it sometimes. When he does these kind things, sometimes it's this desperate bid to be valued and accepted by others in his in-group, which makes him feel like he's earned his place there.

I've noticed that Guillermo has a tendency to do things for people to stay in their good graces (buying his mom a fridge, doing chores for Nandor, giving Derek money) when what they actually want is his time and attention. There often is a vibe that he's trying to earn his way into a group he doesn't quite feel entitled to when actually he's already very much a part of the group and he just needs to maintain those relationships. It's insecurity, frankly, and a nervous sort of self-preservation.

In fact... I'd say that Guillermo's greatest emotional struggles often come when trying to reconcile (and protect) different members of his in-group because he's trying to reconcile (and protect!!!) the different parts of himself.

Like... when he protected Jeremy, he was protecting a friend, but also the idea that some weak, virginal nerds are not prey. He had to protect this member of his in-group, partially because he loved him, but partially because he had to protect himself by extension. If Jeremy could be an exception to the predator-prey dynamics, so could he. Some humans could be valuable.

When he protected his fellow familiars during the familiar fights, he was protecting fellow humans whom he thought had "earned" a better life (and death) than prey humans, but he was also protecting the idea that a familiar could be loved and valued. He was protecting himself and the hope that Nandor would love him.

When he protected his family, he was protecting his beloved family members, but also the idea that vampires and slayers could coexist. Of course he doesn't want his family to die, but he's also doesn't want his hopes that he can have it all to die with them.

Let's all be real with each other here. Guillermo kills humans, and he does so without compunction. He is able to utterly dehumanize prey humans because he has a vested interest in emotionally distancing himself from them. But he gets kind of freaked out when the humans that he has mentally removed from that prey group (his friends, his family, people "like him") are not placed into that same exempt group by others. And this is definitely because he wants to protect those he loves!

But it's also because it means that he isn't special, either.

Let's talk about Freddie, who I think is probably the most complicated example of all this in the entire show. (Save perhaps Derek, who could probably get an entire post to himself because he went from out-group to in-group without Guillermo's consent.) When Freddie first arrived at the house, Nandor mistook him for prey. This understandably freaked Guillermo out, partially because he wanted to protect his boyfriend and partially because it was violating Guillermo's group dynamics.

(Insert meta here about Freddie representing Guillermo's ability to have a happy life outside of the weird, insular one he'd created for himself prior to s4.)

Freddie ended up being kind of special, though, because Guillermo considered him to be part of his in-group and Nandor considered him an out-group until he realized that Guillermo valued him. And then Nandor wanted him to not just be part of his in-group, but a portion of it separate from (but simultaneously representing) Guillermo. It's complicated!!

So we had Freddie 1 who was Guillermo's and Freddie 2 who was Nandor's, but... in the end, Freddie really belonged to no one but himself, right? In the end, he very literally chose himself. He left the -group dynamic altogether.

So Freddie is moving in and out of these groups like a fuckin' oiled-up eel that Guillermo cannot keep a hold of, and that really challenges his control issues as well as his ability to feel like he belongs in the in-groups he's created. It challenges his ability to feel worthy and loved and like he belongs anywhere. It challenges his ability to have faith that he'll ever become a vampire. Suddenly he does not control these groups anymore. If anything, they're controlling him.

While a lot of Guillermo's angst at the end of s4 was about, y'know, normal heartbreak... I think a lot of that was happening, too. He was really seeing the abrupt overturning of the carefully established rules and groups and boundaries and power differentials in his head, and that made him just want to be free of the whole thing.

So he took a step out of all of his preconceptions about what he did and did not have to do to belong in these groups, and took hold of his own destiny.

...unfortunately.

Guillermo's decisions in s4, both regarding his family and his turning, really did permanently shake up a lot of the group dynamics in the show. For better? For worse? (FOR GOOD...? lmao) It's hard to say, honestly. But I'm eager to see how he irons it all out in his head!

Here's MY thoughts on the love island the game's seasons, for no reason other than I want to:

Season 1: why is everyone so bitchy for no reason????? Talia & Jake are okay but other than that it's meh... don't really like the art style either

Season 2: Immaculate. Chef's kiss. They hit a high they never reached again. Somehow managed to balance the drama & the found family aspect and created a dynamic where you can actually believe everyone is friends and having fun even if sometimes they try to kill each other. Characters are flawed but generally decent people who are allowed to grow throughout the season. You get the option to make MC a bi gym-bro who can devour an entire cake in one sitting and bench press her partner. There's a reason this got two sequels.

Season 3: It's fine ig. Short and kind of boring. Nothing much happens. AJ is so cute though she almost makes up for it.

Season 4: Honestly a close 2nd favourite. We get a lot of character backstory and like s2 it touches on some serious issues. The season with some of the funniest moments/lines of dialogue - multiple moments where I just laughed out loud. I'm still only half way through it but the "villain" is just straight up mean for no reason and doesn't get any character development like the characters in S2 but makes up for it by having some of the funniest interactions with other characters and I was so sad to see her go. Also the season where I desperately wish MC was allowed to be in an open relationship till the very end and finish off the season in a polycule with every other islander who was in the love "triangle"s of the the season because this was the hardest season to pick a LI - Najuma is just all around amazing, Bruno is sweet & funny, Tom is so pathetic* MC & Thabi's friendship is also the best thing? It's great seeing a platonic relationship that is as loving (if not more so) than the romantic relationships. It's literally:

Season 5: Psychological horror. The producers said 'hey wouldn't it be funny if we torture this woman on national tv' and then committed to the bit. My memories are hazy because even though I only played it earlier this year it upset me so much I did my best to block most of it out but also I'm 100% sure there was actual galighting happening. Don't know why MC stuck around till the end because all she's gonna be able to use the money for is to pay for her therapy. Anyway I think MC should have been allowed to brutally murder everyone, she deserved it <3

Season 6: I liked the concept but I think they should have utilised it more. I'm still right at the very beginning (around ep 9) and I KNOW the general consensus from everyone who has reached the last eps seems to be that Amelia sucks MAJOR ass. But look, this is the first time a game has given me a MC with a canon family member who is also part of the game so in my opinion Amelia could commit war crimes and she's still be the most precious little uwu ever because I'm activating MC's insanely overprotective oblivious to all faults ""big"" sister mode

The pat on the head was something that took him by surprise. Mainly because no one dared to try doing such a thing, at least not since he was a kid. But Namida did those kind of things without a second thought.

Am I tripping, or was it implied that the original Kaori was infertile? Grandpa said Jin didn’t get to have a child with Kaori while she was alive, and while yes, it’s probably because they never got the time since she died, it kinda makes me think they were trying for a baby for a while but it just never happened. It would also raise even more bells if this woman who presumably died suddenly could conceive with no problem at all. Idk it’s just the way that Jin seems so desperate for a child, makes me think he and his original wife had been failing to get pregnant. I guess he didn’t KNOW know about Kenjaku, but he knew something was wrong and maybe purposefully ignored it if it meant he could get the family he wanted. Maybe he had some kind of knowledge, who knows, but I don’t think he was aware of the full picture.

It’s sad to imagine Jin ignoring things, playing happy family only to then be killed by Kenjaku. I also think it’s very interesting how long Kenjaku and Jin spent together as a couple: Trying for the child (I’ll never get over that lmao), pregnancy, then an unspecified amount of time while Yuji was of breastfeeding age. That’s over a year, at least.

Well, to be specific, Wasuke said Jin wished for a child and that wish didn't come true with Kaori. It could be that they just couldn't get it to stick before she died, she was infertile or maybe Kaori didn't even want a child (which would reflect really badly on Jin if he just went ahead and had a kid with the person possessing her body instead...let's just hope that's not it). I think the infertility option is still quite likely. Kenjaku probably had to "mod" Kaori's uterus anyway to prepare it for creating Sukuna's vessel.

With the way Wasuke reacted, Kenjaku's failing acting skills and Jin's vagueness when referring to Kaorijaku, I think he suspected something was wrong, but ignored it to keep his dream alive. It's very unlikely that he knew the full picture and even if he understood that Kenjaku is a completely different person, he was probably not aware of who exactly they are and what their plan for their child is. A lot of that depends on how familiar Kaori was with jujutsu I would say. If she had full control of her technique, Jin would likely have a better understanding of the world she and Kenjaku come from and suspect that something is up when she comes back to life, personality completely changed and suddenly ready/able to have a kid.

And yes, I also estimate Kenjaku's time spend with him covered at least 1 year. It could be that they weren't with him the entire time though, since they seem to be quite the nomad and until around month 6 you can still move around pretty freely while pregnant. They clearly know their way around a uterus, so they can just do all the usual check-ups themselves and I doubt Yuuji was a normal pregnancy anyway. Tengen's next Star Plasma Vessel merger was coming up and they found the Prison Realm only 10 years later, so I'm sure they were still quite busy. The most time they spend together was probably during the later stages of the pregnancy and shortly after Yuuji was born.

Part of me wants to believe, that they took it a bit slower like not going abroad or staying away for shorter times (too much stress is bad for the baby and you can't compromise the vessel's health uwu) and ended up quite liking that change of pace. We know that they spend less than half of 2018 in Japan and the year before they were travelling around marking new sorcerers, matching cursed objects with future vessels and preparing the Culling Game barriers. Up till ~20th century they travelled between sweet-talking sorcerers to make them agree to binding vows and searched for the Prison Realm abroad. At some point they apparently also studied the brains of non-Japanese non-sorcerers. Compared to all that, even just half a year of washing dishes, fucking your husband and annoying your father-in-law seems like a nice holiday. Not that it changed anything about Jin's end. You just gotta make the most of the time you got.

I might, though that also depends JUST how deep ill want to go with the written stories, or when i get to sketching them more- But anyway! Smol bitty 'spoilers' for the story, but not enough to ruin it. uwu This will also be long. You know my rambles.

Karl and Chris/BSAA have an... interesting relationship.

Karl was, of course, incredibly hesitant when Emelia and Chris made the deal that granted them freedom. He didn't trust Chris for a single fucking moment, and you can bet he wasn't too happy when part of the deal was that they would absolutely be under some sort of *mild* supervision via the Hound Wolf Squad specifically, and partially the BSAA as a whole. Not so much that they'd be up their asses, but just enough to make sure things don't go out of hand. (Meaning no, no weaponized roombas. Sorry to disappoint. 😂 He kinda fell off the whole 'creating murderous robots to take over the world' thing when he suddenly had no real reason to after Mirandas death- it was alot to take in. He had MANY feelings after that.)

They amazingly don't really check on them much, maybe a random helicopter from a distance- because what really helps the 'survailance' is Ethan and Emelia writing back and forth. Once again, Karl was adamant in demanding not to put too much personal shit in there because he KNEW Chris would see them too. It took him a little bit to get comfortable with the idea that someone on the outside might know more about their life, as he discovered that he would definitely prefer living in solitude with his family now that he actually had the choice to.

The only times Karl and Chris really came face to face was when Ethan and Rose would visit and vice versa, and honestly they just... avoided eachother mostly. An untrusting glance here, a defensive growl from Karl there, but they more or less left eachother alone save for Karl sometimes being a smartass, as he does. Really their slight animosity came to both a head and a surprising end when Emelia had the twins, which is where the one image of Karl getting in his face comes in- and honestly it was partially because of Adalwulf. Had he not stepped in and calmed Karl down, Chris wouldn't have had the respect for him that he does, and he wouldn't have joined the Hound Wolf Squad as a 'Bioweapon Defense' with Rose who joined shortly after. Karl kinda came around to the idea after being incredibly against it, and his own trust in Chris genuinely didn't start GROWING until after Emelia talked to him about Ada joining them. So it took... about 12-13 years for both Karl and Chris to not completely have sticks up their asses about it despite Emelia calling him for help once before (to find her birth family), if I'm doing my timeline math right.

After that they ended up having enough mild respect to at least talk without Karl being a complete dick and Chris being a military hardass, and eventually it was enough to share a few beers and for Chris to actually offer THEM a small spot in the crew due to the fact that they're considered 'first generation bioweapons'. While they don't take the spot fully (again, they prefer staying with their *growing* family), they do sometimes go out for things that might be of their concern, mostly to assess things or at least provide support somehow. Mostly Emelia, but Karl will join too, which leads to Chris finding out just how much of an actual fucking tank the old man is with his defense without needing to mutate at all.

I can't really say Karl ever FULLY trusts Chris and vice versa even after a few years, but it's enough to occasionally be drinking buddies and work together after the twins are born and just kinda stays on that point until Redfield kicks the damn bucket (who knows if he ever will tho, Capcom likes to squeeze as much as they can out of him specifically so I mean 🤷)

ok i have a stomachache so i’m not going to sleep and will in fact infodump about what obey me is.

the mc (main character; is gender neutral and you name them) is chosen by diavolo, essentially the ruler of hell (known as the devildom in the game) to join an academic program in which humans, demons, and angels interact. relations between the three worlds were going to shit so he created this academy to strengthen their bonds and prove that they can get along.

during their stay, mc lives in a mansion with a family of seven brothers, one for each of the deadly sins. they were originally angels from the celestial realm, but became demons during a war between the worlds. i will keep the reason a secret since it’s a big spoiler.

mc discovers one of the brothers locked away in the attic for an unknown reason, and must form pacts with each brother in order to release him.

lucifer is the oldest brother, and the avatar of pride. he’s strict and tries his hardest to keep the rest of his family in line. he believes that his way of doing things is best, and is a bit of a sadist. however he has a lot of love for his brothers. he’s diavolo’s right hand man, and constantly wants his approval.

mammon is the second oldest, and the avatar of greed. he’s a gambling addict who’s constantly in debt and getting into trouble with lucifer. he’s the games tsundere, who’s like pssh i don’t care about this stupid thing!!!! but actually he does. he cares a lot.

leviathan is the third, and the avatar of envy. he’s an otaku and a shut in. big nerd. he assumes that everyone hates him, has an inferiority complex, and gets jealous very easily. makes a lot of meta jokes. he’s very uwu shy but gets very passionate about things he cares about.

satan is the fourth, and the avatar of wrath. he’s a bookworm who likes cats. he and lucifer often clash because of their similar personalities. he gets pissed off easily, but usually just sticks to playing petty pranks on lucifer with another brother. other than that he’s soft.

asmodeus is the fifth, and the avatar of lust. he’s obsessed with himself, and thinks he’s the greatest and most beautiful being in existence. however he’s very very sweet to people he genuinely cares about. a big flirt. for obvious reasons.

beelzebub is the sixth, part of a set of twins, and the avatar of gluttony. soft himbo. he’s constantly snacking and doesn’t like to share, but he’s kind. and traumatized. won’t get into that because spoilers. doesn’t talk much but he’s determined to keep everyone around him safe. loves his bros so much.

belphegor is the seventh, beel’s twin, and the avatar of sloth. this is technically a spoiler, but the game does a bad job of hiding since he’s literally introduced in the opening theme. he’s the demon in the attic. won’t say why because spoilers. he’s kinda emo and defiant. also fucks with lucifer. can get very clingy, but he always wants to take a nap.

diavolo is technically the prince of the devildom. his father went into a deep sleep so he’s in charge for now. himbo supreme. he just wants everyone to have a good time. to varying success. but also he can be intimidating.

barbatos is diavolo’s butler. he’s good at everything but is humble about it. just wants his master to be happy. he will go out of his way to help anyone and everyone.

solomon is a human. he made a pact with asmo and is a powerful sorcerer. also he’s immortal? usually has to use his magic to get mc and/or the brothers out of trouble.

simeon is an angel. he was good friends with lucifer when he was still an angel. he’s very kind but is an old ass man when it comes to technology. he’s an author.

luke is a young angel, and i think he works for simeon but i don’t remember. he likes to bake. he’s very sassy and and doesn’t like demons. gets compared to a chihuahua often.

there are more characters but i haven’t gotten to that point in the story yet.

Law, Rosinante, Sanji, Zoro, Luffy & Kid ~ Hcs on how many kids they want to have.

At first when you ask, he would say NONE. Not because he doesn’t really want them, but because he has so much to fix in this world. Why would someone bring new life to this disgusting world? He is also one of the most wanted pirates of all the new world, he would put a new born in danger just by the fact of being his father.

Yet of course he wants kids with you. He often thinks about the name; If it's a boy, Rosinante. If it is a girl, Lammi.

But no more than one, perhaps two. He wants to be there for his baby, no matter what. Take care, protect his child from all of the bad things in this world. Essentially, avoid any bad things. He lost his own childhood, he suffered and still suffers until today, so if a new life depends on him he would assure no one would hurt his little precious baby.

How many can you handle? well, those. Corazon is a dad by nature. He would love to have a hundred babies around him.

Yet, he is actually conscious of his own clumsiness, so at first, he would try to avoid bringing new babies to the world. He is scared of dropping them or hurting them. or maybe lit them on fire… Oh God.

But of course he would first assure Law gets all of the attention he deserves, so starting with two kids would be perfect once Law is already healthy.

Get ready to be annoyed with the topic. “Let’s have kids”. “I want a little girl to be just like you”. “Baby, I had a dream where you were pregnant”. He often kisses your belly, and creeps you with “Imagine a little heart beating inside”.

But even if he annoys you with it, he is SO scared that when you told him you were expecting as a joke, he fainted -twice-.

Yet, he only imagines himself with no more than two kids. Maybe one of them adopted. He really knows what it's like to be abused and love neglected while being a child, so he wants to make sure no kid suffers even the slightest compared to what he did.

Never thought about it. He only thinks about katanas, booze, and -beating- Sanji. That’s it.

But, when you decided to ask about it, at first, he said “HAAAH??”. Then, he took some time to think, and began to imagine a little mosshead swinging bokkens and learning the Santoryuu style. He doesn’t even care if it was a girl or a boy, he only wants to teach his kid to be as good as him with swords. “Let’s have a baby now” he says, completely hyped by that idea.

So, all in all I think Zoro wouldn’t mind about the number of kids, as long as he has at least one to make it into an excellent swordsman. (Or swordswoman).

How many? ah he doesn’t care either as long as there is enough food to feed them all. But keep in mind he would fight with his own children like one of them over meat.

Yet, Luffy would always go to sleep with them, cuddling and squeezing them with so much love. He wants them to know how much he loves his babies.

“Let’s have another one” he would randomly say on a sunny afternoon while his s/o and him rest, looking at his kids run around the deck of the Thousand Sunny.

Luffy is so happy to have such a wonderful family that he would want to have kids like he recruits nakamas.

One, just one. He wants to create chaos and a little version of himself would be perfect to keep his legacy alive.

He often dreams with a red spiky haired demon running around and building robots with him. But he won’t tell his s/o, instead, he would take them to the bedroom and try for kids the best way he knows. Fucking. Them. Rough.

Probably everyone would think he wouldn’t take care of his own baby, but that’s not the case. He would instantly turn into a soft mush of love whenever he sees the little demon open his red eyes.

“Kidd let the baby sleep in peace” everybody would tell him. But he wouldn’t give a fuck, he would be stuck by the crib 24/7 in love with his creation.

Comments like these are harmful to creators. We don’t feel encouraged when we read comments like these it just discourages us and sometimes makes us regret doing the piece in the first place. Cause in case you forgot, we do this stuff for free. On top of our already hectic lives. School, jobs, families. Some of us even go through crisis’s which are bad enough when you’re getting the same harassing comment ten times from the same person

So please, if you want to be encouraging of creators take a moment and ask yourself “is this comment going to cause mental harm?” a good example of a comment would be:

“Hey you’re story is great! I loved “‘this this and this’ keep up the good work!”😊😊

An alchemical genius, no wonder Divus favors you over everyone else. An amiable and patient, a kind soul in place. Well, you certainly are quite weird. You usually exclude yourself from places with many people, even if you had met the Adeuce combo first, he doesn't see you around them so often even though the three of you claim you're best friends.

Trey sees you have a thing for alchemy, you love asking Crewel questions, albeit at appropriate timings, and Crewel keeps praising you for making a successful alchemy performance. It's not to become a teacher's pet, but rather because you were genuinely curious and love alchemy in general.

Trey is very appreciative of your calm, patient and kind nature. Heartslabyul is just filled with non stop drama, in fact, all of NRC is. Being with you, makes him feel more relaxed as you both remain quiet, enjoying the peaceful silence, occasional sounds from your pencil when you sketch and small conversations between you two.

He's also appreciating the fact you're wise enough to know how to take a break, so he wouldn't get worried you worry for him tho-.

You and Trey experiment on things related to alchemy science, your way of putting words together while making a hypothesis or conclusion and reason is somehow alluring to him.

Sometimes he sees you drawing in your sketchbook, while peering over it to look at him, eyes back to what you were drawing.

Upon finishing, you show him, and only him, that you drew things like the flowers, plants and trees, but most importantly, a beautiful sketch of him. You look a little shy when you showed him.

He chuckles.

How interesting. A quiet little fish sketching away in their sketchbook, looking naive. How cute~ That was Jade's first thought.

He soon realized that you have always been watching him from the start, curious about his anatomy upon hearing he was a mer eel. A sneaky one he is, he peeps into your sketchbook when you aren't looking, discovering how you think his eel form looks like, finely sketched.

Perhaps he might show you? You're so curious as ever. You excel in alchemy, and you hold a passion for it dear, quite adorable may he add. You love experimenting on potions, chemicals, elements and much more, something Jade finds quite amusing, watching you as you stir a concoction in your cauldron.

You're patience and kindness is something he appreciated. Being the vice dorm leader of Octavinelle, isn't very easy. Jade's been running errand after errand non stop, everyone asking for his help with little patience sure gets him to burn out easily. Lucky for him, he gets to relax in the comfortable silence place between you two, occasional conversations brought up is something he thinks about a lot.

He's very keen on unravelling your past; you seem to keep it from everyone. He's not trying to be nosy, but he's just as curious of you as you are with him.

It's funny how someone who likes talking, well, sort of, is friends with someone as quiet as you. Quite the dynamic you two make. He notices you seclude your self in places where there's zero to none people around, so... he'd be the one person who's always with you.

You're usually patient, so long as he doesn't disturb you too much, and Rook respects you want some quiet peace. And in all honesty, he loves the peaceful tranquility brought about.

He thinks you're love for alchemy and experimenting is something his brother would totally love! On the topic of his brother, you do remind him a lot about him. You two like to be alone but for different reasons.

Idia is more afraid of social interaction and awkwardness, but you on the other hand, you just prefer the peace and quiet, and maybe also you don't know how to handle social relationships too well.

Idia is super thankful that you're very patient with him, and that you're relatively quiet. He hates social interaction, the pressure's just too much, and he doesn't know how to keep a conversation going.

So you're quiet nature and being patient when he tries to think of a way to reply or talk to you is very appreciated. He usually just scrolls through his phone, hearing your pencil in contact with the pages of your sketchbook, drawing away. He wasn't going to lie, he think's you're really cute when you're focus on drawing.

Every time you're experimenting with your ace subject, alchemy, he usually helps you, albeit if you wanted him to usually because you just see him there just staring at your cauldron and sometimes you very tempting to want to join you- and he feels a little scared he might mess up.

You reassure him that it's okay to fail an experiment, and thus they are experiments, that they aren't made to be perfect the first time round. By this point, he thinks you're a saint, you're so kind and patient and like- he's just- there

Idia sees you one day sketching a lot, while you look at him intently sometimes. Was pretty nervous about what you were doing, but ultimately melt when you show him you were sketching him.

He's so flustered, embarrassed and happy at the same time because he didn't expect you to draw him, and he wonders why you wanted to draw him, but he's really happy you wanted to.

It makes him feel special <3

Hey do you know a possible explanation for Silvio's aversion to touch when it comes to women (who initiate it) ?

This may be because of a past trauma. It might have been that he was never touched, as a child, by his Mother or other female caregivers.

I think now it's pretty obvious that his mother heavily neglected him because she favoured her (eldest?) son Emilio, and also his father didn't give a damn about him by what it looks like; moreover, seeing how good Rio's mother was to him made Silvio jealous of that affection and even more lonely imo. This created both a desire for that touch because of what he saw with Rio's mother, and an aversion to it because he simply didn't know how to handle it/ wasn't used to it. Between the desire and the aversion is a great deal of tension, stress, fear and many uncomfortable feelings in general.

After reading his birthday story, i don't think that he feels just embarrassment when he gets touched by women (Emma in this case). Maybe I read it all wrong or I'm digging too much into it, but he was quite displeased imo, it wasn't a good sensation for him. He gets flustered, but also incredibly uncomfortable when he's not the one who initiates physical interaction with women (i still can't quite explain this behavior though, is he a control freak now? Godddd pls give us an interesting psychological explanation and not just "he's a very shy man uwu", i want DRAMA and TRAUMA and ANGST!!!)

As for my theories or musings on the whole touch thing, post birthday story, I'll ramble under a cut.

As of right now I don't know a concrete reason for why Silvio loathes being touched by women so much. I wonder if it might be a combination of what you suggested, a lack of warmth from his parental figures, and perhaps of the fact that from what little we've gathered about his interactions with women prior to Emma it's all been about gold-digging. Disingenuous women who only seem interested in his money - or at least that's what SILVIO thinks.

Silvio is the eldest of the three sons, which both sort of stings that he's the most neglected and makes a terrible sort of sense - the eldest is often expected to get by and manage things on their own, to be more independent and have their accomplishments be 'expected'. But that can backfire and leave them feeling neglected and passed over as well...and that's in a functional family.

I don't think it's reading it wrong to think after his POV that his feelings surrounding being touched by women are very complex and not simply being shy. There is some degree of that, in how he blushes and blames his pounding heart on his anxiety (which it wasn't really). I think there is a genuine desire to be closer to Emma, but there's genuine distress as well - in JP he uses the terms 気持ち悪い and 嫌悪感 to describe his feelings, and those are not happy words. They indicate real discomfort and revulsion, an almost physical NOPE reaction that he has to struggle to ride out. Even in the AU story he flat out says he's not really slept with women but he's willing to (try) because it's her.

As to what is the source of this, I guess we'll find out. It definitely seems like it could be some sort of deep-seated trauma...could Cybird pull an interesting switch and have Silvio be the victim of sexual assault? Not that it's ever a good trope to rely on, but it's rare that the concept of male victims are ever explored or given the attention they deserve. If so, I hope they manage to do so respectfully.
