Remus Lupin was about to throttle his friends.

Somehow, against all odds, the four seventeen-year-olds had managed to sneak out of Hogwarts and end up in America. No one, least of all Remus, understood how they'd managed to pull this off without dying or being caught. All that mattered now was that they were in some grimy alleyway that practically screamed murder scene, hiding from Muggles who might catch them using magic—or James’s invisibility cloak.

"Pads, put that down—no, not on that!" Remus snapped, rubbing his temples. "Merlin save me."

“Guys,” Peter suddenly whisper-hissed, pointing toward the street, “I think that’s… Ian Musk?”

“What?” Sirius squinted.

“Or Elon? Something like that. My cousins told me about him. Apparently, he’s some billionaire douchebag who makes flamethrowers and stuff.”

"Ugh, fuck billionaires," Sirius groaned dramatically.

"Not to burst your bubble," Remus muttered, "but your whole family are billionaires."

"Yeah, and they suck," Sirius shot back.

“Anyway,” James cut in, “he’s a git, right?”

"Yeah!" Peter said eagerly. "He’s always talking about leaving Earth for Mars and exploiting workers or something. And he named his kid something weird, like… math homework?"

“Sounds awful,” James grinned, the familiar spark of mischief lighting his eyes. “Lads, I think it’s time for some payback.”

“Oh, hell yes,” Sirius said, his face splitting into a grin. “Suck it, Liam Musk!”

“Uh, it’s Ian,” Peter corrected.

“Whatever.”

“Remus, you in?” James asked.

Remus sighed deeply, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Yeah, fine. Whatever stops you three from committing actual crimes."

The boys whooped and huddled together, plotting their next move.

"We should jinx him!"

"Nah he's a muggle, we can't use magic."

"I wouldn't be too sure about that- look at the shape of him. That's no human shape. He's gotta be some sort of goblin or maybe a mix?"

"Still, i wouldn't risk it."

"Ugh fine. What do we have on us?" The boys quickly emptied their pockets to take stock of their supplies. Between the four of them, they had: two pieces of gum, a lighter, a pack of cigarettes, a pen, their wands, a chocolate frog, and a suspiciously crumpled letter James refused to share.

“Well, that’s pathetic,” James grumbled. “What’re we supposed to do, offer him gum?”

“I vote we light him on fire,” Sirius added with a grin.

“Absolutely not,” Remus said, horrified.

“ROCKS!" Peter said suddenly, pointing at the ground.

“What about rocks?” Sirius asked.

“We throw them at him,” Peter explained. “While hiding under James’s cloak. He’ll never see us, and he’ll think he’s losing his mind!”

James’s face lit up. “Pete, you absolute genius! Grab some rocks, lads!”

They scrambled to collect an assortment of pebbles and stones, then huddled together under the now-cramped invisibility cloak. Quietly, they followed Elon Musk down the nearly empty street.

Peter handed James a rock. “Prongs, you can do the honors.”

“With pleasure,” James whispered, winding up and expertly hurling the rock. It hit Musk square on the back of the head.

Musk stopped, rubbing his head and spinning around. “What the…” he muttered, squinting into the empty street.

The boys muffled their laughter as he shrugged, muttered something about “the aliens,” and kept walking.

“Nice shot!” Sirius whispered.

“Thanks, Pads. Your turn.”

They took turns pelting Musk, snickering as he flinched, stumbled, and spun around each time. At one point, Musk tried walking backward to catch his invisible attackers, only to smack straight into a lamppost.

“That’s almost too easy,” Sirius whispered, shaking with silent laughter.

But then—

THWACK.

A particularly large rock smacked Musk on the back of the head with an audible crack. The billionaire crumpled to the pavement.

“Oh… oh no,” Remus muttered, staring at the unmoving figure.

“Bloody hell,” James breathed. “Padfoot, you killed him.”

“Hey! It was Pete, not me,” Sirius hissed. “Plus, he's breathing. I think. Probably.”

"What?! It wasn't me! I swear guys. I’m pretty sure it was Padfoot-"

“No it wasnt! It was totally yo-”

"Shut up!" Remus hissed, crouching over the unconscious billionaire. "Merlin's beard, this is bad. We're in America! Do you know what they'll do to us if we get caught?"

"Uh... put us in Azkaban?" Peter asked nervously.

"Worse!" Remus snapped. "We can't stay here-"

"Wait," Sirius interrupted. "Before we panic, he's not dead, yeah? Just… stunned a bit."

"Stunned?!" Remus gestured at Elon Musk's limp form. "You hit him so hard he might have a concussion!"

Peter leaned closer. "He's muttering something."

They all crouched as Musk groaned, "…Mars… Dogecoin… flamethrowers…"

"See?" James grinned. "Bloke’s fine. No harm done."

"Except for the assault part," Remus said dryly.

James pulled a scrap of parchment from his pocket. Before anyone could stop him, he scribbled a note and stuck it to Musk’s chest with a chocolate frog wrapper. It read: Courtesy of the Marauders. Don’t mess with the little guy.

Sirius howled with laughter. "Brilliant!"

Remus groaned, dragging them under the invisibility cloak. "Come on. Let’s go before someone sees us."

As they hurried off, they heard Musk groan and sit up, muttering, "Bloody aliens… I’ll tweet about this later."

James smirked. "The day Elon Musk got taken down by Hogwarts' finest. Beautiful."

Remus sighed but couldn’t help smiling. "You’re all ridiculous."

"And you love it," Sirius said.

"Unfortunately," Remus muttered as they vanished into the night.

I have SOOO many ideas going on in my head😭😭

I do have a zombie and mermaid fics happening. They’re still being planned out since I want to focus on Call You Mine a lil bit more since its the longest story than the other ones.

Originally, I asked on this account like a yr or two ago and on my personal Instagram account to pick between Vampire or Mermaid. I had two separate fic ideas but Mermaid gotten the most votes since I’m a pretty indecisive person since I liked both of them😭😭. The mermaid one, I plan on having Danny being a merman and Peter being a scientist and teacher with a son that he had with MJ. Both of them will be in their 30s since I love middle aged Peter, we need him more in usm fics❤️❤️ and his son would be a preteen or teenager. I gotten inspired by old Disney’s The Little Mermaid so most likely there’s going to be similarities from the movie and in the merman fic and also gotten inspired by a few Hamilton Musical songs when planning Peter’s character🤔🤔. I like writing Peter out to be a bit of an asshole in my fics since I find him the most relatable and I add a bit of myself in his character too to relate to other readers. I do the same with Danny since he would have a sense of innocence in this fic despite his creepy look. This fic would have a different feel unlike the others since Peter’s POV would sound like report entries about Danny and in a fantasy setting without powers other than Danny. The team, Johnny, and Bobby will be in the story too, for sure they will.

The zombie one is kinda new. It was just a small idea I had when I was watching a The Last of Us playthrough and I just thought of them😭. The story is still in the early stages since I’m still struggling about how Peter’s and Danny’s character will be. I’m debating whether either of them would have a kid to raise but I’m not sure since I have a wide majority of fics having a kid character in them😭. I might have Danny as my next victim of being a parental figure in this fic to change it up but Peter would be a toughie for me to plan his character. Both of them would be interesting POV to write but I feel like writing a dual POV in this fic will be difficult and might be a bit messy and unorganized. Writing out the zombies will be difficult too since I don’t plan this story to be set in a world where they have powers since most likely they wouldn’t survive (no offense to the team😭). It’s still in the early stages unlike the merman fic so I wouldn’t mind some small ideas for this one that yall would want to share.

Another one is a pirate fic😭😭. I originally had everything planned out but I had to change everything last minute. I planned for Danny to be a quiet pirate and even had his relationship with Peter already fleshed out but I had an image of Peter being pirate instead, I liked it better so I changed everything😭😭. A child will be in Peter’s life as well but won’t appear until in the middle of the story. Miles Morales will also be in this story as well as the zombie one(maybe) so HORRAYY🎉🎉🎉 So I’m excited to write him out as well as the team. Danny and Peter’s relationship will be a bit spicy, and few sexual tensions here and there and also a few assassination attempts which is pretty romantic. It has a huge fantasy setting and I’m even planning on creating a map for this fic and will take longer for me tk publish.

I know that someday I will write a fluffy spideytorch fic of them being highschool sweethearts. I’m debating whether they would have powers or not but it’s extremely fluffy and shorter than the other fics. I gotta have my spideytorch fill😔💗.

I think we should consider and think about Peter Parker living in the same shitty apartment complex as Logan and Wade more tbh.

Think about the horrors poor Peter is going through with those two potentially living above him, or even next to him. They sound like they're going to come crashing through his apartment at any moment. He can't tell if they really fucking hate each other or if it's love.

Either way they always look like they're about to throw some SERIOUS hands at all moments.

Running into one of them in the hallway and very quickly trying to get back to his apartment he wants no part of whatever the hell these two are doing.

One of them trying to strike up a conversation and he hit them with the "ahah, oh no, I actually left.. my oven. On. I gotta go" because no way.

Bonus thoughts from my boyfriend :

Peter overhearing Wade and Al talking about the copious amounts of coke and debating if it's worth intervening or not. It's not. He's a busy man. Doing anything else.

I keep thinking about the TV ASOIAF adaptations lately, specifically about the fact there's a demonstration within of how people, even TV writers themselves, are fundamentally misunderstanding fiction these days.

In reality, monarchy isn't good, actually. People, especially in America which has been free of monarchy for a hot second (can't relate 😔), mostly agree that a monarchy is a bad thing. There is some nuance to it (and some cultural differences and such), and I'm not going to delve into the nuance of that rn, but go on the basis that a good majority of the people TV writers in America are writing for are not pro-monarchy. I know there are exceptions, there will always be exceptions, but America is a [consults smudged writing on hand] democracy, I think this says? And that directly affects how people think about systems of power and government. Ergo; monarchy bad.

In fiction, it's been the case for as long as there have been novels that people love to root for a presiding ruler. We love watching Peter, Susan, Eustice and Lucy ascend to the throne, we love debating who should sit on the Iron Throne at the end of ASOIAF, we love watching people fight wars for the right to rule, we love watching people fight and strive to reclaim their lost right to a throne. We enjoy that shit, much like we enjoy watching enemies fall in love or twisted tales play out in our hands or on our screens. We don't want those things in reality, we wouldn't want to turn on the news and hear how someone fell in love with the guy who broke into their house and tried to kill them, kidnapped them for a month and then let them go, just for them to hunt him down and make him marry them to get back at their mafia father for-- Look, I got off track. The point is, we wouldn't see that on the news or hear a friend talk about it as their experience and feel good about it, but in fiction it's exciting, a fantasy to explore.

When Game of Thrones ended, I was baffled by the in-show conversation that led to Bran being crowned. Sam suggesting democracy felt odd, but I could see it, I supposed, but them deciding on a ruler rather than putting Jon on the throne, or Gendry ffs, felt hamfisted and strange.

We watched eight seasons of a show called Game of Thrones, just to watch them toss the board at the end and say, "The whole game is bad, actually! Why aren't you reading a book instead of playing this?" and then shove someone on the throne anyway which was really weird and yeah.

I see similar sentiments with House of the Dragon. The writers seem to be writing under the baffling assumption that we're all in agreement that Monarchy Is Bad Really, so no one is right to be trying to sit on the throne or reclaim their birthright, because they're all bad for wanting to rule. The arguments that the Greens have just as much right to the throne as the Blacks is baffling considering Rhaenyra is the heir and the Greens are usurping (and they know it - else they would have simply contacted Rhaenyra and said, "Viserys has changed the plan, so we're going to crown Aegon as is his wishes. Come to King's Landing to participate" rather than sneak around and lock people up. They know they're committing treason), as is the argument that everyone is equally bad actually.

I genuinely think it comes from a place of deep misunderstanding, where they (the writers, mostly, but I also mean a good chunk of the fandom) misunderstand the draw of a fantasy like ASOIAF is partially rooting for someone to sit on the throne and rule. We're not watching fantasy with kings and queens and dragons and all of that so that the main characters can pat us on the head and say, "Monarchy is bad, actually, so we will instill a system of government based on votes and democracy, and you were silly to want your favorite to sit on the Iron Throne."

I dunno, these thoughts are a little disjointed, but I've just noticed how people approach these things and it feels like a combination of forgetting fantasy =/= reality (like many in fandoms these days, ugh) and also failing to comprehend that what we like and enjoy in fiction is not what we want in the real world. We don't watch horror because we want to see teenagers eviscerated, we watch horror because it's a fun fictional fantasy to explore for a variety of reasons.

I just have noticed this trend and I wanted to verbalize it. It started with sex stuff (if you read about incest or non-con or abusive or toxic dynamics you must support it irl and that makes you bad) and now it's slowly worming its way into other facets as well.

I have a sinking feeling that's one of the reasons why GoT ended the way it did, with a weird little gotcha that Incest Is Bad, Actually. I've thought that for a while because of how they reunited Jaime and Cersei just for them to die together as incestuous lovers, and then had Jon kill his incestuous lover. I wonder if that has something to do with the reframing of Daemon as an abuser and wife killer (something he did not do in the books), as though they feel they have to reinforce that it's bad, and Rhaenyra should be punished for seeking out such a thing.

I don't know. I'm going to stop typing now. Like I say, it's just thoughts.

I want her finally to be the lead in a mainstream movie. She can kill it.

The only thing I disagree with the article - NWH finally used her to the fullest, and I think that the Peter and MJ relationship was one of the cores for making successful the premise of the movie (i.e. peter’s motivation and then sacrifice).

Yea, like don't get me wrong, I have absolutely nothing against any of these other actresses (ATJ included). I think many of them are super talented, and I'm really happy and excited to see them get really good roles! But at the end of the day, I just can't help but notice a definite stark contrast when it comes to the roles that Z's white counterparts are booking, vs the roles that she is getting. And what's even more frustrating is that Zendaya is a biracial actress, so she at least gets more attention and roles in Hollywood like other biracial actresses do. But it's even WORSE for fully BLACK young actresses out here. They are nearly invisible! 😔 Aside from Keke Palmer, I can't even name one young, fully Black actress out here who even has a "bit role" in a blockbuster/mainstream film! So, if it's hard for biracials, then it's even harder for monoracial Black actresses out here. The 40 and over crowd seems to be doing a bit better, but when it comes to younger talent, Hollywood acts like Black women don't even exist smh. Anyway, I guess I'm just ready to see more of a balance in Hollywood. Let's hope that what happened with the HFPA recently is a wake-up call to ALL of Hollywood to diversify their "pool", not only in voting, but also in the talent that they showcase onscreen. JMHO. 🤷
