This is a lot of very angry words for someone who just said making sex jokes about children is weird
Hey, TDP fandom, you know Callum and Rayla are still teenagers, right?
#Like yeah kids making sex jokes about teenage characters is objectively less bad#Children are stupid and they say stupid things#I used to say stupid things about teenage characters when I was 14#But you're jumping so many hoops to antagonize a person who literally only said that saying shit like#'i bet they go at it like rabbits' about teenagers is weird#Because it is weird#I dont know why you're this unbelievably angry over the fact that someone said that's weird#Its not puritanical to say that sexualizing children is bad#You shouldn't have to add a “EXCEPT FOR OTHER TEENAGERS!!” disclaimer when saying that making sex jokes about children is bad#This is the internet. Most people don't post their age for all to see. When I see someone sexualizing a child character I have no fucking#idea if it's an adult or a child#And even if they were a child they should not be posting that shit publicly for all to see#Thats how adults take advantage of them#You're acting like OP was antagonizing the concept of sex and teenagers exploring their sexuality#She wasn't she literally just fucking sexualizing children is bad#Why are you so angry over being told that sexualizing children is bad

LOCKLYLE
Specially for those people who say that Locklyle is too hasty in the show. That they fell in love with each other too quickly and it doesn't correspond to the books.
Yes, this is just my opinion, but it was important for me to say this (carefully, there is a lot of text).
SPOILERS!
These are the words of Jonathan Stroud about Lockwood's crush on Lucy:
"I think that deep down he (Lockwood) knows very early on (maybe even in the first book, when he saves her at the well), but he is very bad at looking at his own emotions, so it takes him ages to even guess. I think that when she leaves the company, he is hit hard and probably know then, but he still doesn't show it very easily..."
Lockwood has had strong feelings for Lucy since the first book. As did Lucy to him. This is a fact. But Stroud's romance is very, very weak, and the reader only guesses about many things. But Lockwood and Lucy have always been more than friends. This is noted by everyone around: George, Flo, Holly, etc. Because their feelings are obvious to everyone except Lucy and Lockwood. And this is normal when we talk about 14-year-olds and the fact that Stroud never writes romance openly. That's not his style. But he talks a lot about Lockwood and Lucy's relationship. And it's true that they've always been more than just friends. Their feelings were always strong, even if they denied it.
But what's normal for books can look terrible in the show. In the show, the characters are older, they can't behave like 14-year-old stupid teenagers (yes, they are still stupid 14-year-olds, but it's harder to ignore falling in love). It would be terrible if they did. Lockwood and Lucy in the show are still trying to deny feelings for each other, but they can't ignore their infatuation so easily. They still have a lot of problems and difficulties to face, but they can no longer say about their butterflies in the stomach that it is "indigestion". It was funny in the books, but not in the show. The audience just wouldn't understand it.
But this is the same slowborn as in the books. This is caring for each other, vulnerability, casual touches and tenderness in the eyes... The actors are brilliant. They showed us which Locklyle was in the books. They will demonstrate the full depth of feelings and tenderness to each other with one glance. But they still keep their distance. And they still have a lot of difficulties ahead of them (whoever has read the books will understand). It's just that before this knowledge was available only to the surrounding characters, but now that we are no longer tied to Lucy's subjective point of view, we see the story more objectively. Why shouldn't the audience understand what is obvious to every hero who sees the interaction of Lockwood and Lucy?
The creators understand Locklyle very well. They perfectly spelled out their relationship if the characters were a little older when they met. They are no longer as silly as in the books, their feelings are now more mature and less controllable. This is a wonderful logical development of the relationship between the characters that I saw. It's perfect (God save the show's creators and actors).
And now a little bit about the sore point. I love Locklyle in books. I love them more than my life. But the biggest problem of books FOR ME is that the characters never learned to talk to each other. And that's what has always bothered me the most. Any psychologist will say that Lockwood and Lucy may have problems in the future, because they often IGNORE problems and do not know how to talk about their feelings. It's still hard for them to talk about their grievances, problems, misunderstandings or love. And what's even worse, they can't even admit to themselves some things, let alone tell another person about it. The author delicately leaves the characters "behind the scenes" when they should finally talk about their feelings. I respect this decision of the author and cannot be offended by it. But the fact is that for such closed people as Lockwood and Lucy, it was important to learn how to talk about it openly. It would be important for their development as characters, but no. It wasn't in the books. The final is open and everyone can figure out for themselves how they coped with it.
I'm happy that the characters in the show are much more open to dialogue. Because it gives their relationship a chance. Lucy is finally talking openly about Lockwood's problems. In the book, she only thinks about it, but never voices it directly. And that's bad for Lockwood. He needs a man who will not only follow him to hell, but who after hell will be able to kick his a*s for his recklessness. Who can tell about his problems by looking him in the face to help find a solution later. To say, "I'm here, you can trust me, you're safe." Because it's the right thing to do. That's what close people do. And I'm happy that the creators of the show understand this. In the books, Lucy was always just next to Lockwood. She was his support and his light, but she was content only with the closeness that Lockwood gave her. And it doesn't seem right to me. It is possible that Stroud meant it "behind the scenes", but for me it was a little insufficient.
I'm happy that they paid a little more attention to these things in the show than in the books. Yes, Lucy is much more confident, but she is older. She's not afraid to stand up to Lockwood. And for that, I loved Lucy even more. Lockwood is a little more open with Lucy, but it's logical and right, because his feelings for Lucy make him more vulnerable to her. And being afraid of losing her, he makes contact with Lucy a little more. I also think it's a consequence of Lucy being much bolder and more honest with Lockwood than in the books.
I adore their relationship so much and I will be really looking forward to how Locklyle will be revealed in the coming seasons.
This is what I think about Locklyle and the claims to their relationship.

Hi! I hope this isn't a strange thing to ask but could you tell me more about ii-critical? I'm writing a research paper on the ii community and I wanna gain more insight to what that part of the fandom was all about.
My main questions are: Why did it exist? Why were you apart of it? What were the posts like? What was the biggest drama? Hell, what platform was it even on??
I wasn't that deep in the OSC when it was up and running (only really got into the community in ~2018) so a lot of community context from that era is lost on me. If you have any other object show oldhead insight for ii you wanna share, please do! I find fandom fascinating and would love to here more stories.
hoooo boy...... cracks knuckles. i went over it a little bit in a previous post but i'll try and give more info this time
(also this should go without saying but please don't try and seek out anyone mentioned or involved its been like 6-7 years since all this happened. also most of us were mentally unstable teenagers hence the. everything)
ii-critical originated as a tumblr blog created by someone named mira (i have no idea if they still go by mira or what their pronouns are now. i'm just gonna stick to they/them for convenience) as a way for them to discuss their criticisms towards the show's writing. the blog was created in mid-to-late 2017, during a time period where "(media) critical" was becoming a common tag. the trend was started by "su critical", a tag created by steven universe fans to discuss the show's faults in response to the show being in a rut of making some VERY dubious decisions (i believe it was started around bismuth's introduction, which was heavily criticized at the time for MANY reasons). the "critical" tags were often created for fandoms who tended to be hostile towards criticism of the media they were based around. the inanimate insanity fandom didn't really have that issue, thankfully. and so, the blog "ii-critical" was born.
at the beginning, the posts were about mira going through an episode beat by beat, and pointing out things they both liked and disliked about it. occasionally, there were posts analyzing a specific character. i'm kind of speeding through the "what were the posts like" section because that is by far the LEAST interesting part of the ii-critical mythos
i found the blog very shortly after its creation. it caught me at a good time, because i was at a point where i was becoming disillusioned with the show (episode 11 was the most recent episode at this point, and i really disliked it due to it being at the peak of ii's melodrama era. the show just felt miserable to watch. s2e11 sucking butt is still an opinion i stand by today Lolzor). mira and i started talking and i was brought on as the blog's other moderator, and i wrote my own analysis posts.
the blog was decently successful and didn't actually get that much hate. most people agreed with our criticisms and were, like, normal about the concept of a thing they liked being flawed. at some point we had a decent amount of followers and made the ill-fated decision to create a discord server for the blog. for added context: at the time of the server's creation, mira was 13, and i was 14. we were NOT old enough to be running a public discord server that at least 50+ people ended up joining.
the server had a lot of problems, mainly in regards to the channels. since we were both at the age where you are hormonal and stupid, we decided to make the nsfw channel accessible to everyone, and didn't even ask for people to include their ages in their intros. a concerning amount of people assumed that mira and i were both adults, or at least older teens until we said otherwise. we also had a blacklist and vent channel, which, word of advice, you should NOT have in a public server. shit gets out of hand SO fast. i vividly remember there being at least one guy who posted in the vent channel on a near-daily basis about pretty serious stuff. trust me when i say that people shared some HORRIFIC information in there. also, we had an emoji that was just a drawing of donut from bfdi with his whole cock and balls hanging out because we thought it was funny. i'm pretty sure there wasn't a "please don't post the donut balls emoji in non-nsfw channels" rule anywhere either.
i could go into more detail about various happenings, but that delves too deeply into interpersonal drama that frankly has no business being shared publicly. one of the most concerning things that happened, however, was this one guy who would come in vc, barely say anything, and fuck around with his gun the whole time. and yes, you could hear it. eventually we got reports of him being predatory towards a younger member of the server, and he was banned. i think that was the first thing that made mira and i go, "oh, we might've fucked up". there was also another incident where somebody was leaking information from inside the server (yet another reason why the vent channel was a HORRIBLE idea), and we banned a bunch of inactive people until eventually realizing somebody had stolen the username and pfp of a real user and impersonated them to stay in the server. this whole ordeal lasted like, two weeks. and again!! we were just BARELY no longer preteens at this point!! and we still thought, yeah, we can handle this. we're super capable. at one point we hired two other moderators (one of whom was 14-15, and the other was an actual adult for once. having an adult moderator led to us FINALLY locking the nsfw channel off to minors, since we had somebody who could moderate it for us), but this was towards the end so most of the damage had already been done
i was removed as a moderator on the blog after a large amount of interpersonal nonsense that, again, i'm not going to get into. it was mainly just because i was spending too much time in the server instead of posting on the blog like i was supposed to. a couple weeks later, i was suddenly banned from the server and mira had blocked me on everything. again, interpersonal nonsense and both of us being mentally unstable, not anyone's business. we reconciled a few months after and both apologized for being dumbasses, so we at least ended things on better terms.
another notable thing is that sometimes, crew members would pop in and out of the server, and they were surprisingly chill about the blog's existence. it was mainly justin and sam from what i remember, and resulted in this legendary image:
i don't remember this bit, but at some point taylor may have responded to one of our posts and was Not Nice about it? again, i don't remember this, take it with a grain of salt. but knowing his history with getting into shit with fans for no reason and how it got to the point where it was cited as a reason he was removed from the team, yeah that tracks
talking about ii-critical is strange, because i don't know where to draw the line between "infamous blog from the early days of the tumblr osc", "stupid pointless infighting between teenagers", and "genuinely horrible decisions and moderation that caused real damage". i'm trying to stick to just the first one and giving info about the last one when necessary. i'm aware a lot of this is gonna paint my past self in a VERY unflattering light, but that's who i was and what i did when i was 14 and i just have to accept that.
ii-critical was just a facet of the tumblr osc circa 2017. a lot of what happened can be traced back to larger issues with the fandom, especially when it came to restrictions on nsfw content. remember, this is pre-tumblr porn ban. i knew an ALARMING amount of people who had nsfw blogs, and even posted nsfw art while they were minors. i don't wanna seem like i'm making excuses for fucking up when it came to moderation and keeping our members safe, but it's important to know that the blog and server were very much a product of a specific point in tumblr history. we saw minors casually posting nsfw on a regular basis and thought, "yeah, it should be fine to have the nsfw channel open to everyone, right?" and like i said, we didn't originally require ages upon introduction. people didn't realize how badly we'd fucked up until the damage had already been done.
i could go on about the dozens of other ways i fucked up, but that would start to dive into the interpersonal side of things. i think i covered everything that actually mattered. i don't plan on talking about ii-critical to this extent again any time soon. everyone who both ran and was part of the blog and server have moved on, i don't wanna keep dragging people back to what's probably a very unpleasant period of their lives.
that said, if prompted, i will talk about the 2012-2014 deviantart era + "dark ages" of the osc AT LENGTH if prompted. i swear i have wisdom beyond the shitty blog i ran with my friends as a teenager. you dont even know about the Ball OC Discourse

Happy almost new year!
Yesterday I posted that whole "Top 10 Tumblr posts" but while that was fun to see, I figured I'd go through things I felt was a great accomplishment of this year for me. And some new years resolutions ;)
Accomplishments of 2023:
I made a website!
I know it's tiny and that it's not really great (yet) for getting tons of views, but I do want to thank everyone (I actually typed out all the names but tumblr was being stupid and I couldn't post the post then :/) for either giving it a try or using it. Without you, it would've just been a floating idea with no purpose. :) Thank you so much for believing in it!
I created a new sims story!
Gone a bit back to my original Simblr roots and made a story! Chapter 1 had been in my screenshots folder for over 2 years now, but I was just self-conscious about sharing it. I'm glad I actually got to terms that the only way to know if people will like it, is by sharing it. :)
Came back to Tumblr fully again.
Over those 2 years I hadn't really been on Tumblr much. I'd post my mod posts and that was it. Truth be told, I didn't really have much motivation to do TS3 stuff anymore at that time. But I think in the end I forgot how fun it can be :) I know I suck at interacting with people, though my anxiety often gets the best of me, and I'm genuinely sorry about that! I'm hoping to change that next year with some help.
New Year's resolutions:
I know most people probably didn't get through the whole thing because I type a lot, but if you do, hey there :)
Making Simblr.cc feel more personalized
I feel like currently it feels very download-oriented, which I'd like to keep! But that vibe also seems to be around with the more picture - oriented things. So I just want to make part of that feel more Tumblr-ish where it's just your personalized space. :)
Starting to sell stickers (and such)!
I know, kind of clique thing that everyone seems to be doing now and then, but I have seriously been loving to draw a lot. Though, my creative outlet only seems motivated when I do something for someone/something. So I was hoping to not just sell stickers for SImblr.cc as a donation thing, but also to make some of my own. :)
Finishing LISISV
I never intended to make LISISV like those shows that have been around for 20 years and going on. :p I know most of you do, which I love! But I'm not sure if I will be able to, lol.
I was hoping to rewrite the entirety of "Elly" which I did YEARS ago as a wee 14 year old (till I think, like 16?) but that's all basically teenage cringe IMO :p The concept and the characters however I always adored. So who knows!
Figuring out what to do with Interests & Hobbies
I keep promising that I'll finish it "after this mod" and I honestly do open it up, work on it for a little bit but then I start working on a feature and it... just doesn't work with the mod? However, the more I do that, the more 'bland' the mod becomes. So I don't know what do with it anymore 😅 Anyone who knows please help!
Unless you are all okay with remnants of it, which I'm doing currently :)
Making this space mod I have been wanting to do for a while
Not many people know this about me but i'm a huge sci-fi nerd :p And I wondered how hard it would be to make this “colonizing the a planet” space mod in TS3. Though I know that most people probably wouldn't care about that, since TS3 is more about generational things and... not so much about those things. So, who knows.
I guess I just need to sit down with myself and get my shit together, honestly.
Attempting to actually talk to others.
I don't know how people do it... I honestly want to keep tap of everyone I follow but I get so exhausted, if not, my anxiety starts kicking in because "what if I say the wrong things?" It's not just a tumblr thing though, i've been like that since forever, and maybe should just reach out for help for it. I just don't know.
I just feel as of late that people put great effort into commenting on my things and I'm barely there for them. Yet, just know that I am there, that I do think of you, i'm just deleting my sentences over and over again and just giving up. I'm genuinely sorry about that.
Hopefully your year will be nice and may your wishes come true :

One of the dumbest things I think you've ever said was that cartoon fans hate children because they don't like how certain child characters are written or because they think a reboot of a kids show is badly written. Like, you do understand there's a difference, right? Yeah, I totally want children dead or something because I children's entertainment can be better than those soulless, ugly nursery rhyme compilation videos that children are addicted to. Logic.
Cartoon fans always have a warped idea how children actually are. Because they forget WE WERE kids. Whenever they see a little kid character who is slightly overbearing and overenergetic, yknow what a little kid IS, the fandom calls the character "annoying", "brat" etc. And god forbid if a teenage character was their point of contention
I remember watching Transformers Prime and I thought Miko was my fave out of the human teens the Autobots looked after. Yet Ive seen so many fans complaining she was a rude, impulsive, bratty bitch and found her excitable attitude around the Autobots "annoying" because how DARE a 14 year old acts stupid and is excited to hang out with giant robots.
And this stems to how cartoon fans view children who are fans as well. I was in the brony fandom and I noticed whenever the show introduced more characters or spin offs for the sake of toys, a lot of bronies groaned how its so "girly" and "not what the show is" aka anything remotely marketable and feminine whatsoever. And they got mad when kids loved it cos it reminded them they're watching a girl's show. They outright pilloried G3 fans for liking such a baby's show when Friendship is Magic is literally no different than g3 outside of more consistent characters and its funnier. Heck, even when G5 came along and there was a poll of who their fave main character was and Pipp, the most feminine of the group who was a social media savant, had the least votes. Whereas Izzy, the g5 Pinkie Pie, was at no. 1. (which goes to show how cartoon fanbases are extremely biased to wacky comic relief characters with quasi-neurodivergent traits) Also I was exposed to a lot of fucked up shit, the porn of this fandom was unfiltered and incredibly easy to access on youtube and google. (this was before youtube kids was a thing) This is the same fandom that brought us Cupcakes and Fallout Equestria and Rarity's New Designs. All from a show thats about horse puppies being friends. And as for the little kids who were surrounded by this content, no wonder they grew up traumatised. Cos bronies didnt give a single pissing shit about the children. Look up brony horror stories. You'll see why.
Cartoon fandoms have this preconceived notion to muscle children out of the picture as possible so they can feel more secure watching kids shows without their parents judging them. They hate being reminded that the stuff they watch IS FOR KIDS IN THE FIRST PLACE. But the problem is 75% of media out there is made for children in mind. Star Wars, Disney, Pixar movies, Dreamworks movies, Batman, Spiderman, Marvel, Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Transformers etc.
As for the bad reboot angle, I always firmly believed the phrase "This X REBOOT RUINED MY CHILDHOOD" is always a defensive way of saying: "THIS CHILDRENS PROPERTY IS NOT IMMEDIATELY CATERING TO ME >:(" Like they treat a reboot like its an act of betrayal when its just a piece of media changing and evolving with the generations to appeal to the newer ones. If you want the same show you watched as a kid, just watch the original thing on youtube or collect dvds and merch of it. But if you want to watch this reboot, you've got to realise change is what reboots do and if you get mad at the small/big changes a reboot makes...
You're literally Patchy in this scene
youtube
As long as a show doesnt push racist/sexist/bigoted or any problematic themes in their faces, its fine. If the kids love it, the reboots done its job.
And as for the quality of children's entertainment, I dont really give a shit what soulless nursery rhyme collection or sanitised fluff kids watch. We all had our mindless fluff we watched as kids and we didnt get scarred for life because of it.
Just...leave the kids alone. Just act like adults and manage your shit carefully. Let the kids enjoy what they enjoy and for the love of god DONT GET SO FUCKING DEFENSIVE OVER LIKING A CARTOON AIMED AT BABIES. ITS ONLY WEIRD WHEN YOU MAKE IT WEIRD.
#tw bronies#cartoon fandoms suck#these ppl jus dont know how to adult#or how to interact with children normally#my head hurts

Post AGIT SPOILERS
Dark Danny character arc
Ok so Dark Danny, or Dan for short, is now in a clone body of his past self. Cool. Personally I’d like to think that Clockwork made the transfer possible by having Dan’s time ectosignature be back to Danny’s own in this timeline. So he’s not got a 24/50-something year old ectosignature anymore BUT he still retains his memories of course. So he’s basically 16-17 years old now.
Why do I think his ectosignature being resynced to this timeline, so that he’s 16-17, should be a thing? Well mostly because I can see the darker NSFW side of this fandom rubbing their hands together and saying “well he’s an adult technically”, need I say more? 🤢
Anyway, aside from that, where can I see Dan’s character growth in the series?
Well, he’s human again for the first time in 12-13 years, he’s going to have to deal with teenage hormones once again. That’ll suck. Imagine going through puberty 3 times?
I don’t think he can go into his human form at first, I feel that seeing his own true human face would give him some form of PTSD. “Well he didn’t react before in UE” Because it was an illusion, not his actual human face. It’s different when it’s a fake face, but when it’s the same, flesh and blood, that you killed? That’s going to hit hard.
This is something he can work on with Vlad, giving Dan a chance to open up about all the wrong he did in his timeline, Vlad has no idea what Dan did, he just knows he’s a messed up ghost hybrid of himself and Danny.
———
I don’t think Dan will be at 100% power, not because he’s reverted to his 17 year old state, but because he’s still recovering from that battle. It doesn’t just mess with him physically but also mentally, so he trains at first but eventually it leads to a hesitant therapy treatment with Jazz.
This also gives Dan room to talk to Jazz about what he did to her, his own guilt towards that, and how he sees his family. Remember, he tried to kill them twice now, that’s going to really effect him. He lost his family from a stupid accident, but knowing he actually wanted them intentionally dead? How messed up is he that he would try to kill his family? How will he react now to seeing them and how affectionate they are with Danny?
As for Sam and Tucker, I think he’ll get jealous of that too, he tries to reconnect with them but it’s a bit difficult when he also tried to kill them. I don’t doubt that he’ll admit to them that he really did miss them, he says so himself in UE, his reaction when they hug him leaves him in a stunned shock too. Then he snaps out of it when Tucker insults him xD But yeah, I think he will try to befriend them again but shortly realises that their friendship wont be like before, that he needs find new friends.
———
Another thing, Vlad’s clones. UE takes place BEFORE Kindred Spirits, meaning that Dan had no idea that the clones existed, so how do you think he’ll react to seeing those for the first time? “What, you had a bunch of these just lying around?” Vlad can explain it all to Dan, about how dozens failed, “died”, and that’s gonna really piss him off.
Then Vlad lets him know about Danielle, a clone that somehow survived the process and surpassed the other clones despite being ‘imperfect’. Dan goes to find her in the GZ at some point, using Vlad’s own ecto-signature tracking device (based on the Boo-merang), he finds her in the frozen Tundra with Frostbite.
She’s with Frostbite because now she’ll be 14-15, meaning her ice powers started to kick in as Danny’s did, so Danny lead her to Frostbite’s world. It’s here that she stayed, found a home and her own identity. Her new name is Ellie. Dan then trains to learn how to use his own ice powers but struggles as he’s got two infused ghost cores. In these training sessions he learns more about Ellie and asks how she survived, he also relates to her more than just being his clone but also another one of Vlad’s ‘mistakes’. ✨Sibling energy✨
She explains that she’s regained her self confidence and her own identity, she liked being called Dani but felt that it was too close to being Danny, she didn’t just want to be ‘his clone’, she wanted to be herself. Dan takes a moment to consider this and offers for her to visit anytime, Vlad is trying to be better now.
———
Onto Valerie, Danny was only starting to have feelings for her around the time of UE, so Dan had those too. But obviously due to their animosity in the future and how he nearly kills her repeatedly, that’s gonna suck big time. He tries to get to know her again, much to Vlad and Danny’s dismay, Valerie isn’t exactly sure on how to feel about Dan since he looks so much like Danny. Which is explained with the statistic there’s an almost exact duplicate of you somewhere around the world, Danny found his and wanted to meet them, not only that but they had similar names, Dan being short for Dathaniel… Danny’s not great at making up shit on the fly, but Dan simply admits he uses the short version because of how dumb the long one is. I also believe that she’s working alongside the Mayor in the anti-ghost protection teams, her dad and the Fentons being the ones to help supply with Anti-Ghost weaponry. Also I do see Dan and Val trying to make it work romantically.
Again this is why Dan needs to be 16-17 again because dear god the implications behind a 24-50-something ghost in a 16-17 year old’s body just makes it so damn confusing on a ‘shipping’ level. I feel that it needs to be 100% clarified at some point otherwise it could get very VERY messy and people will scream p*do no matter which way you go because of the implications 💀
Alright, previous timeline Valerie. I am in agreement that there are 2 Valeries, you see them both in different places in the book so I don’t think they’re the same person. I’m gonna call her Val for this section.
Val is definitely not on Danny or Dan’s side, she wants to out both Danny and Dan as ghosts to Amity Park but struggles to provide proof. Both Dan and Danny have to work together when it comes to Val because she is a genuine threat, but also Danny thinks she can be reasoned with. Initially Dan doesn’t agree but over his redemption arc he basically winds up reasoning with her instead of just wasting her.
———
Alright, what about his relationship with Danny? Well… I don’t think he and Danny will get along initially, he’s… grateful that he didn’t leave him to disappear, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t resent him. Danny got his happy ending, Dan has to work hard to build things he’s lost, he’s not going to like being around him. They do start to act like brothers eventually, but Danny is clearly the favourite child when it comes to that. Dan eventually learns that he never really hated Danny, he just hated himself. He also asks how he managed to save his family, Danny says Clockwork helped.
Clockwork… OKAY BUT for real, why did Clockwork help Danny and save his parents, but not Dan’s??? Clearly he could have, but didn’t. “Everything’s the way it’s supposed to be”, so Clockwork must have seen a timeline where Danny would have to face himself twice just so he can become the bridge? Ooh Dan’s not going to like that. He had to suffer, to kill himself, his family, everything and everyone who died, just for the possibility of this outcome??? Damn. That’s going to suuuuck.
———
Final note: Dan isn’t going to be a good person just because he’s put in a clone. He has to relearn everything, go back to school to gain better social behaviours, try to learn how to fit into society again. He wouldn’t just be a ‘good guy’, think of him more as an anti-hero Danny Phantom. I don’t doubt that he wouldn’t agree with Danny initially about wanting to ‘help’ ghosts, but is quickly reminded about how Danny could have just left him to disappear.
I do also think Danny will take Dan to the old Ghost Runes, Dan is going to need his own purpose now. I’m not sure what that will be.
Thanks for reading!

Doing this for Dante. The Dr Faust cutscene, or to be more broad I love his silly attitude and his stupid jokes. Made this series iconic and funny and gives him a personality.
3-Least favourite thing about this character
For Dante this would probably be the ‘if you were 18 i would date you’ joke from the first episode of the anime. This really rubbed me the wrong way and its kinda weird to say that to a kid you just met???and ooc for him???
7-Whats something the fandom does when it comes to this character you like?
Actually give the girl characters time to shine instead of just making them sexy eye candy. And the silly family dynamics between the Sparda boys.
8-Whats something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?
the fucking Vergil dodges child support and is a ‘sigma based alpha male’ homophobe. i hate it so muchhh even though the meme is dead it still annoys me so much when i see people still think its funny.
9-Could you be roommates with this character?
I probably could be roomies with people like Dante and Nero and Kyrie. Id probably get a little annoyed at Dante for constantly being in debt and gambling but we could survive. Do not think I could be roommates with Vergil. that man does not know how the oven works.
10-Would you date this character?
fuck yeah I would date Dante.
12-What's a headcanon you have for this character?
Nico is the kind of person who drenches everything in ranch. She buys the ranch ice cream a lot and it makes Nero loose his shit every single time. She drowns her chips in ranch and Nero looks at her from across the table like shes murdered someone
14-Assign a fashion aesthetic to this character.
Hrngh fuck im not a fashion person. Do kinda see Trish getting into gothic fashion tho.
20-Which other character is the ideal best friend for this character, the amount of screentime they share doesn't matter?
Nero and Nico are the perfect best friends duo. Always got each others backs, always making fun of each other lightheartedly. I want more of them sooo badly you have no idea.
21-If you're a fic writer and have written for this character, what's your favorite thing to do when you're writing for this character? What's something you don't like?
its been decades since I have last written anything in general. But I do remember Dante’s dialogue being fun to write for me and I dont like everything else because im constantly worrying if something is ooc
22-If you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to this character? Something you don't like?
Its been decades since ive read any dmc fic either (get caught up in other things) but as mentioned earlier do love those family dynamics and the attempts to fix everything. Dont like when Vergil os portrayed as ice cold after dmc5.
23-Favorite picture of this character?
FUCK THIS IS SO HARD. I do love the capcom cafe art with dante and his tits out. the teppen card art is also pretty cool.
24- What other character from another fandom of yours that reminds you of them?
So considering the only other fandom I am in is about depressed teenagers trying to overcome their trauma its safe to say none. I guess Kel somewhat for Dante? Only cause theyre silly and have older brothers who like blue.
25-What was your first impression of this character? How about now?
When I first saw V back when I knew absolutely nothing about dmc, I thought he was edgy and didnt really like him (the video used the ‘what evil lurks I must destroy’ clip out of context). But now that I have played and beaten the series I must say V my poor guy hes an absolute menace.
26-FREEBIE QUESTION!!
no idea what this means!!!!!so im just gonna make up a question!!!!
26-Would you work for this character?
ABSOLUTELY NOT DANTE HAS NO BREAD!!!! and the job is like. insanely dangerous and im just an internet guy.

Favorite Crime - Struck by Love Legacy Challenge - Episode 16
Naomi was wishful for a good last year as a senior, but it looks like it was not going her way.
Isla Robles began talking badly about Kaito, talking about how he always wears his red pullover hat. All Naomi saw was red, nobody talks badly about her brother.
Standing up for her brother, got her expelled for a day. She was happy to sit herself at home instead of going to this new, lame school anyway. She was happy to.
On her day free of school, Naomi found this stray cat named Cosmo and brought him home. Ever since Lily Pad passed away, Salem had been really sad. She thought it would cheer up Kaito and Cosmo.
A couple weeks go by, Maeve is throwing her annual Halloween party! At school, Naomi has been falling in with the wrong crowd, she's able to keep up with her grades since this school isn't as progressed as her last. Naomi had been getting high for weeks under the nose of her mothers. During the party, Maeve noticed her daughter's bright red eyes.
Maeve: Naomi Anderson Kibo, Are you high right now?
Naomi tries to lie: Uhhhhhh, no?
Maeve could feel her face reddening: First, the fight you got into at school was out of character, and now this?? What has gotten into you?
Naomi: Maybe we should've stayed in the city! At least until I was out of school! And Kaito too!
Maeve noticing the amount of people were gathering around them as people were arriving for the party: We'll talk about this later. Go to your room.
Naomi: But MOM! The party? I wanna go to the party.
Maeve: I've made up my mind Naomi. Go to your room. We'll talk later or in the morning.
Naomi groans: Ugh, this is so unfair. You're so uncool.
Maeve: I'm okay with not being cool! Now go.
Naomi gets a plate of food and heads up the stairs to her room. Maeve sighs and looks for Star while greeting fellow partygoers.
Maeve: Thank you all for coming, year after year, this is my favorite tradition. As always, the party may be going on elsewhere, you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here!
Everyone in the room cheers. They thank Maeve and Star for throwing another amazing Halloween party. A couple hours go by in the Library ....
Star: I missed you in bed, you zoned into a book love?
Maeve doesn't bother looking up at Star, intent on trying to find answers to her parenting problem. Clearly she went wrong some where for Naomi to be acting the way she does.
Star notices the lack of response and ponders for a couple minutes: I hate to be a bother, but my love you seem upset?
Maeve sighs and closes the book: Yes and no. You know how Naomi got into that fight on the first day of school?
Star: Yeah, I remember.
Maeve stands up, paces around the room before standing in front of Star: I caught her earlier tonight high as a kite in the dining room. I'm not sure if she was hiding from me or she didn't care that I knew. But she was high. Where did I go wrong in raising her? What did I do for her to resort to drugs?
Star: She was high? On what?
Maeve: I'm assuming weed, I haven't spoken with her yet. I sent her up to her room before more people got here and saw her bright red eyes.
Star: I don't think that you went wrong with her. Teenagers try things, they do stupid stuff, it's a part of growing up. Didn't you do anything wild in your teens? I know I did. I have a whole list of things I did when I was 14, Naomi is turning 18 soon. I'm happy to see her break out of her shell.
Maeve: You're happy about this?
Star: Wait, that's not exactly what I meant. She's always been somewhat of a shy girl. She's had the same friend group since elementary school after moving to the city. She asked you if she could date, you said no, to our knowledge she respected that. I'm not saying that I'm happy she's doing drugs or getting into fights. But I am happy that she's finding out who she is outside of us, outside of her main friend group.
Maeve: You're right, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snap at you. I did things in my teens that would put Naomi to shame far earlier than this too.
They both chuckle. The space between the two disappears and they embrace.
Star: I love you so much May.
Maeve: I love you more than any word can say. Let's go to bed so I can show you how much ......
Star smiles: I like the sound of that.

'Many queer people, who grew up in the homophobic 80s, in the shadow of the AIDS epidemic, today struggle with trauma from childhood, believes British star director.
And Andrew Haigh knows what he's talking about, because he himself is part of that generation.
- Even though we have moved on in life, many people carry with them bad memories from childhood and adolescence, says Haigh in an exclusive interview with NRK.
For the personal film he is currently working on, "All of Us Strangers", he has brought in big stars such as Paul Mescal ("Normal people"), Andrew Scott ("Fleabag"), Claire Foy ("The Crown") and Jamie Bell ("Billy Elliot").
Haigh's previous film "45 Years" garnered Oscar nominations. "All of Us Strangers" has received a total of 6 Bafta nominations, Britain's answer to the Oscars.
In the film, the lonely gay man Adam, played by Andrew Scott, lives in an almost empty block of flats in London. One evening he meets Harry, played by Paul Mescal, who also lives in the empty block. As the love relationship between the two develops, Adam becomes preoccupied with memories from the past.
He returned to the town he grew up in, and found his parents living in their childhood home, just as they did before they died suddenly 30 years earlier when Adam was only 12.
Adam gets the opportunity to have the difficult conversations with his parents that he never had or dared to have before they died in a car accident.
- I would be stupid if I said no to this role
In contrast to Adam, Harry stands out as a confident gay man who is confident in his own orientation. But that's only on the outside.
- I have a deep interest in the form of masculinity, the modern man who on the surface looks like everything is fine. Harry is similar to something I have experienced, and I see him in my veins and in people I know. He was a character I felt I could add weight to, Paul Mescal told NRK.
For Claire Foy, known to many as the young Queen Elizabeth II in "The Crown", there was no doubt that she would say yes to the role.
- I think that the older I get and the more I work in this profession, I will do things that I care about, and that I hope others will care about. I would be very stupid if I said no to this role, says The Crown star to NRK.
Director Andrew Haigh is himself part of the generation of queers who grew up in the 80s, and wanted to make a personal story about growing up queer at that time.
The film "All of US Strangers" is partly based on the 1987 book "Strangers" by the Japanese author Taichi Yamada and partly on the director's own story.
- Things are so much better now for most of us, but we still harbor feelings and trauma from growing up. These feelings are with us in the decisions we make in life, and can lead to us setting boundaries for ourselves, says Haigh, who believes it is important to cultivate that feeling a few times.
- Missed this film as a teenager
Director Andrew Haigh has a wish that not only adults, but also 13-, 14- and 15-year-olds should see the film. He thinks it would have made a big difference if he himself had seen this film as a teenager.
- Sometimes a film can have the ability to convey the difficulty of an experience, whether it is grief, a strange upbringing or whatever it may be. As a teenager, through a film like this, you can gain an understanding of what is challenging about being gay, while also seeing that it is possible to work through the difficulties.
Paul Mescal received a Bafta nomination for his role in the film. So did Claire Foy. She is happy about the nomination, although the real barometer of success for her is people's reaction to the film.
- Nominations and awards are absolutely fantastic, and especially for independent films like this that stand out and attract attention to get people to go and see them. At the same time, I quite sincerely believe that if people come up to you in the street and say that what you do means something, then it doesn't get any better than that, says Foy.
Director Andrew Haigh told NRK that he has experienced an absolutely enormous response to the film. People of all ages, both queer and straight, get in touch to tell stories from their own lives, about the loss of parents, loved ones and the like.
- The film seems to have resonated with them on a sort of universal level, and that means a lot, says Haigh.'

1 - 5 of the BG3 Act 1 asks for Vice?
BG3 Act 1 Asks (accepting!)
Oh-ho-ho that's a whole ass introduction, let's goooo (and thank you!)
Tell us about your Tav! Name, class and subclass, race, pronouns. Do you have a headcanon for where they're from? Their family? Are they a Dark Urge? Or did you choose an Origin Character? Was it an easy decision?
Name: Vice Class: Barbarian Subclass: Berserk Race: Asmodeus Tiefling Backstory: Urchin Pronouns: she/her
Putting this under read more 'cause trust me I couldn't make this brief even if I wanted to (yay headcanons)
Vice is Baldurian born and raised, in a somewhat more literal sense that one might think. As in, the city did indeed raise her. Her birth name is Volga Redbrook, but she doesn't really remember it. The name, that is. The surname is easier. It's on her parents' gravestones.
Her dad got murdered when she was an infant, and no one bothered to investigate a dead tiefling from a poor family (we've seen first hand how justice in this city works). Her mom hanged around longer, but got sick and also died when Vice was around 8 years old, leaving her an orphan.
If Baldur's Gate has any children protection services to speak of, then Vice never met them. For some time she skulked around the now-empty place they used to live in, but no living space stays empty for long, so she very quickly found herself on the streets. And with streets came trouble.
Stubborn by nature, constantly hungry and angry about it (the fuck do you MEAN you can't spare one damn apple you stupid asshole vendor--), she got tossed around more than once.
That's until one day, when she got in big trouble with the Fists for getting caught stealing, another urchin showed up and snatched her away. A teenage orc girl built like a fighter, with a burn scar on her face and a short boyish cut. She brought Vice to her hideout where she's been collecting similarly lost kids kind of like an older version of Mol. Their own little gang of survivors with no one to look after them but each other.
Now, Uretir, or Ur as they all called her, was about 14-15 years old herself, but to 10 years old Vice she seemed an impossibly cool adult older sister who can do everything and anything. She was strong, she dared to get into guards' faces if needed, she was larger than life. She also taught all of them to steal, to sneak, to lie, to parkour across the city's architecture if needed, and to fight.
Guess who Vice's guardian looked like.
It's in that group that Vice actually took her virtue name, Vice, 'cause it was indeed her own vices that repeatedly got her into trouble. Her stubbornness, her anger, her independence.
She used to be both impossibly angry at the world, especially those richer and more well-off than them, and ashamed of her anger, 'cause, well, it's not a good thing to have, is it? Never does her any good, certainly.
Ur used to say that they didn't need what the rich folks had. That those were stupid and complacent, not seeing shit under their own noses. Someone to be conned and robbed and tricked and laughed at, not anyone to envy. Not anyone to fear either. Ur used to say that everything they needed they already had in them. Their hands, their wits, their strength. Their crew. Ur also used to say that Vice's anger is nothing to be ashamed of. If she has it in her, then it's her tool to wield, to make herself stronger and more resilient. All she had to do was to learn how to harness it to her advantage instead of an obstacle.
Vice took the first part of advice to heart, which makes her incredibly frustrating to every character in the current plot who tries to bait her with power. She has her hands, her sword, her wits and her lies, her lockpicks and her strength. And also her friends. That's enough.
Uretir got killed in a scuffle when Vice was about sixteen. No one showed up to help, not a guard, not a citizen, no one. By the time the rest of them got there, there was no saving their sister.
So that's when Vice saw crystal clear the second part of that advice and made her rage her fuel. Let's just say that Ur's murderers didn't leave that alley alive either.
And Vice? Well, she's a 'barbarian' since. A sneaky, stealthy, lockpicky, smiley and deceiving berserk that will not hesitate to go off if you give her a reason to. The fact that she grew into her considerable height and build only helps her with that.
In the course of the next ten years their gang grew apart without Ur to hold them together. A lot of them decided to join the guild. Vice, however, was too sick of losing people, so she went the loner route, living it up while stealing and squatting, Disney Aladdin style (but without an animal sidekick).
The nautiloid actually snatched her up right in the middle of being chased after a robbery gone wrong, so? Successful getaway, I guess?
Now she has a whole squad of weirdos she'd really rather keep from dying and a girlfriend who's MUCH too close to death for comfort, which totally doesn't keep Vice painfully awake at night. Can she keep ANYONE in this godsdamn life.
(As for the question of whether it was easy to choose - I'm a sucker for custom characters, so hell yeah. Vice is a simple Tav, as you can see by the detailed backstory. I honestly never considered Dark Urge for my first playthrough, although it does look interesting if I ever manage a new character!)
Was there something about the character creator that just couldn't capture your Character? Please tell us about their hair, facial hair, tattoos, piercings, disabilities, their trans or intersex body, or anything else you're comfortable sharing.
Well, the thing is, I didn't go into the game with a pre-made character in mind. My only frame of reference was my Early Access character - and I last played EA in, like, summer of 2021, so I don't even remember what I named her. So after playing around in the character creator to see what's what I returned to my EA concept and went from there. 'Cause let me tell you, the new body type alone completely changed the whole vibe. I also decided not to go the non-canon way with the skin color.
But you can still see the roots. The eyes, the horns, the red hair, the general face preset I'm pretty sure. (Why aren't we allowed to color our eyebrows anymore though...)
All in all I'm majorly happy with how Vice turned out. Mayhaps the only thing I'd personally do is make her boobs smaller, 'cause that my general preference for my characters whenever I can control it, but let's be honest not every game lets you do that, so I'm content with letting her breast boobily and whatever. Anything for that height and those guns.
I'll admit I chose her scars all willy-nilly in character creation and now every time I notice them I'm like.
Someone tried really hard to either slit this girl's throat or behead her. I'm yet to decide which and how the hell she survived that.
And I'm pretty sure she just got that tattoo to be edgy and finds it very ironic now that there's an actual bullshit sitting in her eye.
(The only things I find annoying are the glitches like the light colored horns - which has thankfully been fixed - and the glitchy nail color that's been going on with tieflings. Not sure if the second one is still around)
Has your Character been using their illithid powers?
Ha, no. The aforementioned part about not wanting or trusting offers of power and authority and yada yada plus her general stubborn yuck about everything connected to mind flayers made sure of it. She's girlbossing her way through encounters based on sheer ability to lie and/or intimidate. And also a bit of me savescumming. Sue me.
Although to be completely honest I did fuck up on that a bit. I completely missed the fact that the Survival Instinct ability is linked to a tadpole (kinda got used to new abilities just popping up on the panel 'cause I equipped something new and forgot or leveled up or whatever). So I used it a few times and only stopped when the goddamn Embrace Your Potential quest updated and I went "SHIT".
I usually roll with the punches like that, and so was born the headcanon of Vice using the ilithid power unconsciously a few times because she got too scared about a friend - or lover - getting hit too hard in a fight.
She did very much stomp on the very-special tadpole the Emperor gave her. He wasn't pleased, she didn't care.
Do you remember in which order you recruited your companions? Which companion introduction would have felt the most familiar / like home to your Tav / Character?
Okay, let's see. Vice rescued Shadowheart from the pod (failed the strength check miserably and had to use the actual smarts but she got it done), so they landed close by. After which she immediately attempted to steal the shiny artefact thingy from the unconscious girl and had to very convincingly pretend that she was just checking on her upon being caught. So, uh, an interesting start to the relationship. (SH did seem to believe her though)
Astarion was second and he got successfully headbutted for being a little shit (ouch the horns). I also accidentally missed the first scene in camp - or multiple??? - because the very first night we made camp he was already trying to bite Vice. Which she didn't let him do. Their relationship is the rockiest of the whole party, but we're hopefully getting there.
Then came Gale whom Vice dragged from the portal by the muscle alone. She didn't really knew what to think of him for the longest time. Wizards and their hubris are so very much beyond her expertise.
Then of course she saved Lae'zel. Or does she technically count as the first companion, considering the nautiloid? Anyway, Vice's attitude frustrated her considerably for the first half of the Act, but Vice was actually chill about her from the get go. She understands angry. She understands surviving. Doesn't understand the superiority complex, but she got very good at shutting it down, so. (They became good friends later).
Karlach actually was recruited before Wyll 'cause I got nervous I was making too many long rests (got burned in EA once) and speedran directly to her location, past the fake paladins and everything. So Wyll basically recruited himself by showing up at camp. And Vice is glad that he did, 'cause he's an awesome guy and she likes him the best out of her male friends in the group.
As far as familiar/like home part goes… Look, I'm going to be very predictable and say Karlach. Because of many things really. Apart from the fact that Vice's gay ass immediately went "Hot 😳" at the first sight. First and foremost, while all the other companions thus far had been all gloomy and/or secretive (can't call Gale gloomy by any means but he sure as heck was sketchy with his humor shield), Karlach was open and loud and generally optimistic right from the get go, which Vice, who generally survives in the same manner, was tremendously relieved to see. She was also a fellow strong and angry barbarian at that and immediately in that first fight they matched each other step for step, which was also very refreshing. She was ALSO a fellow Baldurian street kid, as it soon appeared. It just clicked. If they hadn't fallen for each other eventually, they'd be the best of friends otherwise, there's no other option.
Do you remember the first humanoid enemy your Character killed? Was it the first person they've ever killed, in your opinion? Would they have been bothered by it?
Now this is a hard one. Do imps count? Does a dying mind flayer, who's skull she stomped on upon finding him? Or are we skipping till goblins at the grove?
Either way, as mentioned, Vice first killed a person, or rather multiple, when she was sixteen. So no, by that point - and she's around 26 in the main story - any of those were hardly her first. She was more bothered by the nature of everything happening (you don't get that kind of action on the city streets okay?) than the general killing she had to do. It's just a part of survival.
Tips of her horns are permanently stained red for a reason.

Films that should be great, but ain't
so uh, with that amazing title in mind, does anybody wanna discuss "The Constant Nymph"?
file photo: the most important yet most underused character ever
Back when I was a younger, even stupider fangirl, this movie represented the second holy grail in terms of lost media (the first was Der Verlorene). I should say difficult-to-find media, as The Constant Nymph was never exactly lost, but it was unavailable on home release or even general theater showings for 70 years. No really. The author's will stated that "the film could be shown only at universities and museums after its original theatrical run ended" (from Wiki). Don't ask me how Margaret Kennedy maintained that much fucking power over a juggernaut like Warner Brothers but it must have been one hell of a rights agreement.
As such, this was one of those movies that was simply unavailable to me for a long time, so when it was finally released from its long purgatory with a DVD home release, I was over the moon. Finally I could see Peter in the sort of lush romantic role he always deserved. Sure, I knew from my reading that much of his subplot was cut, but it couldn't be that bad, right? This movie has everything--a superb cast, a popular source novel, a moving musical score by Korngold. What could go wrong?
...I shouldn't ask that question because the answer is "everything" (with the exception of Korngold, his music can do no wrong). I knew things were off to a great start when the disc wouldn't even play in my computer--the official WB disc, not some cheapo bootleg, mind you--until I turned the optical drive upside down. Things didn't get much better from there. I'll let myself speak (if I may, haw haw), and repeat what I shared in my facebook group two years ago after my first viewing:
"I don't care how they chose to dress it up; it's the story of a grown man falling in love with a teenage girl who has a big crush on him. Sure, he claims not to be interested in Tessa romantically, but how does he explain his seeking her out at literally EVERY opportunity, and how he's much happier with Tessa than he is with his own wife? And the fact that we're supposed to see his wife Florence as a bad person because she's jealous of Tessa… no! Florence didn't do anything wrong! But instead she actually tries to apologize to Lewis for not understanding his "inner world" with Tessa. Ugggh. The whole thing was just super questionable, even for the 1940s, and I did not find it romantic at all.
Oh, and Peter was not in this movie nearly enough. We don't even get to find out about Fritz and Toni's baby! I wanted to see more of their marriage, even if Toni didn't seem to care very much for Fritz apart from what he could buy her." 😕
26-year-old Joan Fontaine fails to convince anybody she is supposed to be 14, while a concerned Peter Lorre looks on
So yeah. I could say a lot more, but I'll let it go for now. This is one of those films that has all the ingredients of a true classic, except somewhere along the way the director, screenwriter, and editor all tripped over each other and sent everything sprawling into the undignified void, leaving us with the awkward result.

Didn't effect him that much, he went from a happy golucky laughing over all childish boy to flinching, nervous , hyperaware teen who is clearly not forced to learn how to fight till his brother saw his immediate rival being stronger, those are the immediate changes show has shown us from episode 6/7 to 8 lucerys he has had the biggest shift in personality out of all the child characters, he laughed at pink dread not about taking the eye, hes a 14 year old hes a little stupid so what, he has a personality that ranges so stop villainising and belittling him, pick a lane and better yet pretend he does not exist and don't put him in the tag
Luke was nervous because of Vaemond and the claims he was making, it's the first thing we hear in episode ten. That his claim should've gone to him, he also reiterated it during episode 8.
I say that he was laughing about the pink dread. Which was him clearly not applying the context that he had since taken the eye of the person that prank was played on because he's a kid who didn't really have consequences for that action to be careful.
I agree with fact that Jace was rough with him because of the fight with Aegon and Aemond.
I also don't see how saying he's fond of Rhaena and would probably take up that role as a six year old is so out of character. Doesn't that show his range? He's a good kid, but very much so a kid.
I don't understand the fight here.
That big change is also just him becoming a teenager and learning about the world and how it perceives him. Baby Luke didn't even know that their was a question that he was Laenor's son. Baby Luke was at a funeral saying he didn't want his seat because people would die in order for him to have it, while apologizing.
Bigger Luke has to go to King's Landing on the ground that that's being contested. He even says that people wouldn't do this if he looked more like Laenor than Harwin.
I'm not villanizing him, or belittling his plot, I'm saying that Little Luke would talk on behalf of Rhaena if she asked him to. That's not out of character for him. I don't understand your issue.
It wasn't an analysis of Luke either. It was a headcanon for him and Rhaena when they were children. One that works for his character at the time. The lane I'm picking is a canon possibility today.
What is the issue?

So, my silly guy is from the «Отроки Во Вселенной» (lit. “Teens In The Universe”, I don’t think there’s an official English translation of any kind) duology of films which released in Russia (my home country!) waaay back in 1973 (my parents watched it when they were kids, and it was already considered a kinda old film when they did). He is technically only ever referred to as «Исполняющий Особые Обязанности» or И.О.О. for short, the most literal translation as far as I know is ‘person who performs special duties’ but the only English wiki that exists for the films lists him as the ‘Extraordinary Service Executive’ which sounds a lot cleaner so I’ll be calling him ESE from now on!
This is him in the opening moments of the first film, in which he immediately shatters the fourth wall by addressing the audience directly. He tells us that this film is not, in fact, irrelevant to real events and in fact takes place “…летом будущего года. Я не оговорился” (lit. “…in the summer of a future year. I did not stutter/misspeak.”), establishing himself as both a being that transcends time and space and a meta entity aware that he has an audience!
(I drew two versions of him in this scene, one has him with human eyes, the other has his Overseer eyes on full display because, again, in my universe ESE is none other that G’ himself)
The first film basically has him teleporting around (and this is the early 70s, no editing/special effects were used to show his teleportation, it was all clever camera work!) ‘nudging’ things if you will, to set up an expedition of six particularly intelligent teenagers to a planet near a star in the constellation Cassiopeia that humanity suspects houses intelligent life. He possesses this mysterious but also quite approachable demeanor (which is why in my extended universe he is a G’ long after his time in the HL universe who is already familiar with humanity), he sometimes communicates by handing the main characters files marked with ‘Совсем Секретно’ (lit. ‘Completely Secret’, a joke on ‘Совершенно Секретно’, which is the formal way of saying ‘too secret’ in Russian, implying that he has a sense of humor about the situation!). He also helps/lets a seventh kid get into the spaceship, and while this seventh guy isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, ESE is implied to believe in him because he does have a lot of heart and ends up being important to the team.
The reason the main characters need to be so young is because the planet is really far away and will be adults by the time they reach it, but an accident happens and they accidentally reach the planet still as teenagers, and while it’s unknown wether or not ESE planned this I believe he is implied to have done so, especially with how cheekily he explains it to the adults back on Earth when he teleports in on them celebrating one of the kids’ 40th birthday that is, in fact, his 14th birthday out in space (he changes the number on the cake from 40 to 14 and everything, my silly reality bender being extra, I love him!!/p)
And here’s where I distract you a little by throwing in a little extra scrap of evidence for why I think G’ was inspired by ESE: half-life isn’t the only game with subtle ties to these films. You know how in Portal 2 if an AI hears a paradox they can’t stop thinking about it and break down! Well ‘Teens In The Universe’ gives its robot enemies (the sentient species on the distant planet ends up needing to get saved from the robots they created that went rogue and now want to brainwash everyone) a very similar weakness, but with a popular Russian children’s rhyme/pun (it’s impossible to literally translate without the point being lost so I’m better off not confusing you but my point still stands.) Portal subverts this because the ‘boss’ robots in TITU are immune to this trick because they’re too advanced and understand puns, but Wheatley is immune to paradoxes because he’s too stupid to recognize them as paradoxes!
Anyway, ESE shows genuine concern for how the adults involved are worried sick about their children being possibly lost in space, so he reassures them by showing them a transmission of how the children are both okay and in contact with an alien civilization by holding up an ordinary metal box. He admits his methods are ‘un-scientific for your time’, further implying that he himself is unbound from time and space and bringing up the idea that things perfectly logical and understandable to an advanced enough civilization may seem like magic to the people of today! He apologizes for being unable to do more, but states that he is ‘searching, investigating, hoping’, implying that he does want to help more but is, like someone else we know, bound by ‘certain restrictions’!
Also ESE accidentally ends the transmission by sneezing like an anime girl. This is VERY important.
The next time we see ESE is in the final scene of the film, after the distant planet is saved. The kids get super excited to see him, they naturally ask a ton of questions as to why and how he ended up here but he waves them all off with ‘долг службы’ (which I translate as ‘by duty of service’, implying that he works for someone else… he has Employers!!). He hands them one final envelope marked with ‘Совсем Секретно’, which contains a note supposedly written by himself that contains only the words «Не пора ли на Землю, друзья?», which translate to “Is it not time to go to Earth, my friends?”. The film cuts off shortly thereafter, but I think this means he teleported them back to Earth when they got back on their spaceship. I think after all this, he’d figure another little ‘nudge’ to make sure they see their families again wouldn’t hurt, would it?
Some fans of the films argue ESE’s existence weakens the narrative. I STRONGLY disagree. He’s an interesting character in his own right, a living mystery, a meta device with a soul, the intrigue around him is alive even today, after 50 years. He’s silly. I love him. He’s also the G-Man I don’t take constructive criticism.
OK BUT LIKE THAT IS SO COOL AND AWESOME AND AAAAAA

Oh I have a list. I'm going to be blocked for some of this and you know feel free to debate me on this I want to have a constructive conversation on some of this. Plus there is no way that I can read every comic ever and remember everything so if mistakes are made I am human.
1. Bruce Wayne/Batman as a character works best when you have him go on a slow but consistent downward spiral where you have him start off with as good of a rich capitalistic boy can be but have him slowly get worse as he gets consumed with more paranoia and emotions he can't properly process because he was never given the proper environment or tools to do so. Have him good from a fairly decent parent and have in decline every so slowly into a worse parent.
2. Alfred Pennyworth is a very flawed character and has picked side multiple times despite claiming (sometimes) to be neutral in a conflict. He has negatively impacted the children he cares for and abandoned his own family to continue working full time with Bruce. (Pennyworth has a daughter BTW).
3. TimSteph was a messy teenage relationship that failed because of at its core very teenage things (miscommunication) but the problems were only made worse but the adults in their lives. They both had their faults and were both horrible to eachother in many ways but they were also very sweet and cared for eachother. To not acknowledge the roles they played in eachother's lives is to disregard a lot of characterization and growth as well as a lot of trauma.
4. Tim is a brilliant character but he is flawed and very annoying some of the time. He says things and does things that make him a complicated flawed but still ultimately good character. The gun Batman story is stupid and should not be revised again. We can explore Tim's flaws in other ways that doesn't bring in gun batman.
5. Jason did more for the plot by being dead than by being alive, and he haunted the narrative perfectly fine. He did not have to be brought back as a character later on. The Batfam was going strong without him and his characterization has only gotten worse throughout the years and most of the storyline he has been in recently is grossly misrepresenting both his Robin character and his later character.
6. Babs is a flawed character and makes some of the same mistakes as Bruce as to boil her down to 'girlboss' is stupid and misogynistic. Making babs Batgirl again is ablist and removes the character growth she had as a character beforehand. She was better as Oracle.
7. Dick Grayson is oversexualized and mischaracterized. It needs to stop. Make him go back to being asshole traumatized adult who only tolerated Bruce for short periods of time. Dick should be a character outside of Gotham related characters.
8. Stephanie Brown has been mistreated by the comic makers and the fandom and what the fandom has done to her character has not fixed the problem, only made it worse.
9. Cassandra is an amazing character but has been whitewashed and infantalized, and tokenalized. She is a complicated character but by many has been reduced to a one note character who is secondary to the the 'batboys'.
10. Helena Bertinelli deserves to have her characterization back and to have the traits that were stollen from her given back. Her writing as a character and vigilante anti-hero is better than Jason, and to give her characterization to Jasonbis wrong.
11. The Batfamily is not a nuclear family and they only get along and work together in smaller groups. They are all together tolerable but antagonistic coworkers but in smaller pairs or groups familial relations.
12. The Joker should be dead and some other big bad should become the focus. Joker as villian has been beaten to death and not interesting anymore. DC has plenty of other very fascinating characters that they could use.
13. Harley Quinn is a problematic character that needs to be written by other people.
14. There's something about boiling Tim down to the 'smart Robin' and headcannoning him as East Asian that feels ickey to me. Like these two together specifically. Just like there is something that feels icky about headcannoning Jason as black or Latino and boiling him down to the 'violent robin'.
15. Batman should have stayed dead. The extended Gotham vigilantes and heroes had just reached some form of normal and a new ers of comics could have come. That would have been more interesting to see than reseting everything.
16. Tim needs to grow as a character outside of Robin and Batman.
17. The Dickbabs vs DickKory ship war is stupid
18. Not all relationships need to be romantic and not all relationships are meant to last. The fandom needs to understand this.
19. Selena can do some much better than Bruce.
20. Talia deserves so much better than what she has been given and deserves a formal apology from everyone.
What's your batfam hot take that will land you like this?

I’ve committed a sin, that I wish to confess.
After years of telling myself that I would NEVER! EVER! Read “It Ends With Us.”….I did.
Okay. I was told not to read it because “it glorifies abuse.” Of which, it does not. Does Colleen Hoover give an accurate account of what those who are abused deal with and the lies they tell themselves while in an abusive relationship. Surprising yes. The MC, Lily, kept staying with Ryle (Just name your Male MC Kyle btw this was so stupid) because of the lies she told herself.
An excellent example of this would be how Lily kept lying to herself is that Ryle is not her father, therefore, he’s not that bad. Or how after Ryle would hurt Lily, he would always apologize and doctor her. This is not everyone’s experience with one’s abuser. As one who grew up surrounded by domestic violence I know the faces both the abused and abuser wear. So I’m not going to write that It Ends With Us glorified or encouraged domestic violence, because it never, ever does.
Now. Here is why the book is just down right Bad.
I made a list and published it to GoodReads (don’t come after me.) and I will just publish it here. A few things before the list. One, I wrote them down as I was listening to the book, and when I randomly remembered something I hated. And B, Colleen is not a bad writer, but her…ideas for how to design a character likes and dislike, how she will write plots is not a “struggle” is what makes them bad. I may never read any other of Colleen’s books, but the way she writes her MCs are very much Mary Sues. They are “my life is a struggle! But I just found 1 billions dollars! And my student loans are now free! And I just got CEO position when tho I have no qualifications! BUT MY MILK HAS JUST GONE BAD ! MY LIFE IS OVER!” you see what I’m saying here. I feel lime Colleen has no one in her life to look her in the eyes to talk to her about her “creative process “ and tell her “you can not add Ellen as a fourth MC in your book, and you can not have your MC talk about Ellen every, single, chapter.”
But, all that being said. Here is my list.
1. Our first interaction with the Male MC, he bosses her around
2. The male MC takes a photo of Lily without asking, and two, turns it into a bleary pixelated photo and hangs it in his home!
3. A random billionaire is Lily first employee
4. Every! Single! Time they say “okay, I’m going to have a naked truth moment” and then say the most “AYO!” Thing ever
5. “Bad people do not exist “ 🚩🚩🚩🚩
6. At the end of the first conversation these people have, he says, “I want to F you.”
7. He only does one night stands, they never sleep together, so he HOUNDS after her.
8. They agree to stop seeing each other. And then keep seeing each other while he still ask her to sleep with him
9. He searched for her apartment building, for idk how many hours, so he could get down on his knees! And beg Lilly to sleep with him!
10. He got down! On his knees! Wrapped his arms around her waist , and BEGGED! Lily to sleep with him.
11. She said “sure. “ Lily took an hour shower, and when she went to her room! He ! Fell! Asleep!
12. He is a doctor that works to much, a fact, not a red flag, I have no problem with this
13. Lily writes in a diary like they are letters to Ellen.
14. Lily first crush is a homeless man (Atlas) who she falls in love with, who is idk, a 17-18 year old. She! Is 15!
15. Atlas and Lily garden together, and when he finds out that there is cow poo in the mulch, Atlas proceeds to smier his hands on Lilly. Which! Turns her on! She ! Is still! 15!!!
16. The Ryle and Allysa get into an argument, and she is trying to warn Lilly about Ryle and he get into an “pre argument” then leaves he room all grumpy and go to the other room to scole on his phone …hate that. Very “teenage stomp away” of him. Like bro! Your! In your 30s????
17. LILY STILL WRITES TO ELLEN!!!
18. The way Lily! Does not! Explain herself at all! It the way she said “I can explain.” And then NEVER! EXPLAINS!
19. I understand that Atlas was Lily safe place, I understand why she ran to Atlas to get away from Ryle. However, 90% of Ryle and Lily arguments were because Ryle thought Lily was having an affair with Atlas. But Lily says over and over again that yes, Atlas was a big part of her life and she will always love Atlas. And then! While she is staying at his house! She admits that she still loves Atlas in a romantic way after her and Ryle separate. I’m not making excuses for Ryle cuz he is an abusive man who would always jump to conclusions at the drop of an hat. But Lily never explains herself, never says “oh this tattoo? I got this because you of Atlas” or “oh these journals? I wrote in them when I meet Atlas.” She never had to explain herself of why she kept all of these stuff, you don’t have to explain why you still hold onto things that gave you comfort in a hard time in your life. However! When you are married. When you are in a committed relationship. And there is the smallest of doubt in your partners mind about an Ex, EXPLAIN YOURSELF SO AN ARGUMENT IS NOT BLOW OUT OF PROPORTION! yes Lily. Of course Ryle is going to jump to conclusions! Yes he is going to care! His actions are not excusable! But you can not blame the way his thought pattern went when he keeps finding things that are from Atlas in your house, on your phone, on the kitchen freaken door! And not expect your partner to explain themselves!
20: SHE NAMES THE BABYS MIDDLE NAME DORY!
21. SHE ASKS FOR A DIVORCE RIGHT AFTER SHE GIVES BRITH! TIME! AND PLACE!
22. Colleen, dear, why, is your one gay character reaching into Lily dress to adjust her bra and dress, WHOM! Lily says, “we don’t hang out.” WHY! Is his hand in her dress anywhere near lilies boobs!
If this is your favorite book, or you totally disagree with my views. You are more than welcome to believe so, and I’m not going to convince you that you are wrong, or that you are right. Here are MY! Problems with the book, and with Colleen personally. Miss ma’am, if you see this, I’m sorry, but for the love of everything that is good and holy…get someone you will be honest with you. And Colleen, I’m going to hold your hand as I say this, for the love of GOD! I never, ever want to see “I got smeared with animal poo…and it turned me on.” From anyone ever again, let alone a child. I will not forgive you for that.
