Roommate Binghe would absolutely make the most insanely hilarious Reddit thread that’s so out of touch with reality. I can just hear the comments begging him to give the woman he dates a break and just bend over and fuck his roommate already
That thought is literally what inspired this au for me in my head I had this idea of binghe saying "am I the asshole for not picking my BEST FRIEND OF TEN YEARS over a woman I've been dating for two weeks?" And it's one of those aita posts that have a deceptive title because everyone reads that and goes of course not! Then the actual post is this:
"I (21M) met my best friend (22M) when I was 11 and he was 12. I used to be really weak and scrawny back then, and he saw me getting bullied at the playground and became the first person who ever stood up for me. After that he asked his parents to hire my mom and we could finally move out of poverty. She was really sick at the time and getting a better paying job really helped her get better. I'm saying all this to show how important he is to me and why anyone should understand that he'll always be the most important person in the world to me.
He's also a bit sickly. Nothing severe but he has asthma and picks up illnesses way easier than most people, so I often take care of him.
Recently he said he wanted to meet my girlfriend, so I agreed the three of us should have dinner together at a nice restaurant. She was weirdly quiet the whole time, staring at the two of us talk. When we left it was late, and the night air was making him shiver, so I gave gege my jacket. I thought we'd all head our separate ways from there but my girlfriend got super moody and said it was my job to drive her back too?? I said "I'm not making gege walk back because you want me to drive you home" and she was about to yell at me when gege stepped between us and said I can drop her off and then take us home. It was annoying because she lives in the opposite direction but I agreed.
When we got to her apartment, instead of saying thanks and leaving, she said she wants to talk to me. Obviously I didn't want to leave my friend alone in the car, but he just smiled and said I should say goodnight to my girlfriend. He's always very sweet and indulgent to the people I date, to the point it's a little frustrating.
Once we were alone, she blew up at me, claiming I ignored her all evening. She got mad at me, saying that gege was wearing jeans and a full sleeve shirt while she was wearing a short dress and I gave my jacket to him instead. I explained to her that his immune system is weak so if he caught a chill he'd be sick way longer than if she got a cold.
That was our first argument. She got over it in a few days. but I didn't want her around gege anymore lest she said something about me "picking him over her" and made him feel guilty for no reason.
Afterwards she invited me to be her plus one at her cousin's wedding. I said I'd go but just two days before gege got really sick. I said I'd stay with him, but he insisted I go to the wedding and he'd get someone else to look after him. He mentioned this guy who I absolutely hate and that's when I knew I couldn't leave him in anyone else's care.
Gege's friend is a terrible influence on him. He's an idiot with no brain and a creep who clearly wants to take advantage of him. I absolutely could not leave the two of them alone when he was so vulnerable so I refused to leave him alone even for a few hours. Gege was too feverish to remember the wedding after the first day so he didn't say anything about it.
I was so busy taking care of him, I forgot to tell her I wouldn't be able to come to the wedding. I didn't bother picking up my phone until gege was back on his feet and saw about 50 missed calls all from her. When I called her back she was screaming so loud, gege could hear her even though she wasn't on speaker. After I hung up on her, he looked so sad and said he was sorry for being the reason I couldn't go. I told him I didn't even want to go and it was just her cousin, but for the last week he's had a perpetual frown on his usually smiling face. I feel so terrible. I want to tell him it's not his fault, of course I'd choose his HEALTH over a date, but he's really beating himself up about it... I hate that I made him feel that way.
Top comment: THAT'S THE PART YOU FEEL GUILTY FOR???? THAT YOUR GEGE FEELS BAD????????? NOT HOW YOU MISTREATED YOUR POOR GIRLFRIEND?????
Second comment: just fuck your best friend instead of making her suffer bro 😭😭

"You're quitting?" the villain asked and the hero nearly jumped out of their own skin. They had had quite the day and the last person they had expected to see in their own living room was the villain.
"Jeez- yes-" They felt their pulse in their throat and when they set down their plate, their fingers shook. Right. They hadn't told the villain.
It was stupid that they felt - to some degree at least - obligated to tell their nemesis that they weren't interested in wearing the cape anymore. In all honesty, that feeling of obligation only existed because the hero wanted some comfort.
"You're quitting?" the villain asked again and the hero only frowned softly.
"Yeah."
"Bullshit."
"No, I am done. I am done with this." In return, the villain let out a huff and crossed their arms in front of their chest.
"You can't just quit," the villain said, as if they had any say in this. It was refreshing, though. Most people had encouraged them. Hell, their parents had begged for years, colleagues called them incredibly lucky and friends only sighed in gratitude.
But the villain didn't seem to accept this.
"I did. I did quit," the hero said. "I signed the papers and everything. They wanted to throw a party but I declined."
They stared at their wine glass. It was difficult not to feel like a total loser. Because, in the end, this was much more "giving up" than it was "quitting."
"Why?"
The hero took in a deep breath and a sip from the glass. The wine was a gift from their boss, but it tasted much too sour.
"Why are you here? Was it that necessary to break into my apartment?"
"Why are you leaving? We were just starting to..." The hero stared at the villain. Starting to...? The villain rolled their eyes. "The people love you."
They came closer, every step taken urgently. The hero was flattered but also slightly overwhelmed. They could feel their cheeks heat up when the villain was right in front of them, their hand nearly reaching for the hero's arm.
Only now, the hero realized that they had never been in their home together and moreover, the hero had never looked this revealing, even though they were fully clothed.
Their gaze was glued to the floor.
"This stupid city needs you. Most heroes are total assholes with no consideration of anyone's feelings, including citizens. Do you want that to be your legacy? The perfect hero who gave up?"
"I'm just sick of all the blood. And the violence. About not actually making a difference. Once I defeat a bad guy, two more appear like hydra heads. I'm just...I'm not good enough. I can't deal with it anymore," the hero admitted. They stared at their toast on the plate and wondered what their next move would be. For most of their life, they had trained to be a hero. They had given everything. "It just hurts. A lot."
Getting a job, probably. That seemed to be a good move.
And then, the villain laughed. It wasn't a chuckle, it wasn't a snicker. It was a loud and honest laugh. As if the hero had just made the most ridiculous joke.
"You're funny."
"You know what? I don't have to tell you anything."
"You are the best thing that has ever happened to this city," the villain said. Now, they seemed quite aggravated, quite serious. "And you're quitting?"
"Like I said, I...I am just not good enough."
"That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard you say."
"I am not saving enough people, okay?! People keep dying and I can't...I can't..." The hero bit their bottom lip but it was still trembling. "I can't save everyone."
The villain was quiet and the hero could see how hard they were clenching their fists. When was the last time they had ever seen them this angry?
"You know what? Screw you." The villain frowned, almost as if their own words pained them. "No one can save everyone. But a hero, a true hero, inspires others to be the very best version of themselves. They rise to the occasion and others follow them, not out of obligation but because they...because you...because you touch the very soul of others. You're the light in the darkest cave, you are the water in the driest desert, you are the hope the people crave."
The hero hadn't noticed how their jaw had dropped. They didn't know what to say, all they could whisper was the villain's name.
"Ugh. And now I am making a fool out of myself again because of you." The villain crossed their arms in front of their chest but the hero still saw the soft blush on their face.
"No, you...listen, I..." Why was it so difficult to say anything?
"I'm leaving. And you-" the villain pointed at them with an angry index finger "-better show up tomorrow."
With that, they climbed out of the window and the hero stared at their toast for the next 20 minutes in silence.

To feel seen
word count; 680 – f!reader who wears glasses
Tumblr media
Tsukishima was reading a paleontological magazine he got from his brother, headphones on as he occasionally bopped his head the slightest bit as if he wasn’t sitting in his classroom during lunch period. Yamaguchi was sick today and left his best friend in his own company, which he really didn’t have a problem with.
What he did have a problem with was seeing how that guy from the class next door sauntered right through the door and over to you. Your seat was in front of Kei, and to put all formalities aside, he liked you. From afar. He would never admit to it, not to himself and not to anyone else, but the fact is that he did. So as he watched this guy approach you, he discreetly moved one side of his earphones back on his head, looking at the corner of what he was now just pretending to read.
“You look beautiful as ever, y/n,” he said, leaning one hand on your desk, which made you carefully lean back a bit and chuckle awkwardly. You adjusted your glasses and tried to be polite.
“Thank you, that’s very kind, but I am trying to have my lunch.” The corner of Tsukishima’s mouth lifted.
Unfortunately, this guy was persistent. It’s not the first time he was in there for you, but it’s the first time he brought you something. “I know, so I got you a strawberry soda.” he said, putting said beverage down on the desk and doing a little ‘tadaa’-like movement with his hands.
Tsukishima could not believe what he heard. What an idiot! She doesn’t like soda…
Why is it suddenly so silent? He slowly looked up from the magazine, and he could swear his heart did something weird when he saw your face was turned towards him and lips parted in what seemed like surprise. Both you and your admirer were looking at him because he said that aloud, he realised.
“How do you know that, Stinkyshima?” the guy said in an annoyed voice, and Tsukki could just hear from the tone that he must have overheard that nickname from Hinata. Somewhere down the hall, Tsukki hoped the tangerine could feel his curses in the form of a sneeze.
Tsukishima was about to try and excuse himself from the conversation, but then he looked at you again. Your shoulders were more relaxed and there was some kind of sparkle in your eyes he hadn’t seen before. “She says it all the time,” fell from his lips, and it made you feel so seen.
You cleared your throat, gathering some courage as Tsukishima initiated mission ‘avoid eye contact’. Turning back around to the front, you smiled kindly at the boy who had repeatedly tried to win your affection. You picked up the soda and held it up to him so he could take it back. “Thank you, but he’s right.”
Tumblr media
At the end of the next school day, your friends tried to quickly pull you with them so you could all go to a karaoke place like you planned, but you told them you’d catch up and slowly turned to Tsukishima’s desk where he was putting everything away in his bag at his own pace. You bit your lip nervously as you stepped up beside him, and he startled a bit but hoped you didn’t notice.
“I saw this and it made me think of you,” you said and put something on his desk before turning around and promptly escaping to catch up with your friends before you could see his reaction. Tsukishima picked it up, hooking his finger through a keychain and holding it up so he could see it. Dangling from it was a small brachiosaurus balancing a volleyball on its head.
You bet that was hanging from his bag from that day forward, and anyone who dared make fun of it would get his ugliest glare along with whatever insult he could muster up.
Soon, maybe the two of you would do everyone a favour and stop admiring each other from afar.

we need to talk.
He received the text from you this morning, but he didn't want to respond. He knew what was coming but he had been ignoring it and trying his best to fix it for the past month.
He could feel you falling out of love with him over the past few weeks and he had tried everything to fix it. He'd bought you flowers, took you on fancy dates, and constantly did your favourite activities with you. It's not like he wasn't doing that before, he most definitely was, but he made it more often and romantic than before. The last thing he wanted was to lose you.
You would've said the same every day of your life until recently. You didn't know how it happened, or when or why, but it did and you hated yourself for it. You didn't want to fall out of love with Charles, you always believed you'd be together for the rest of your lives, so when you realised it was happening you ignored it, trying to force the feelings back. You immersed yourself in the dates he took you on and tried so hard to love him but you couldn't help it anymore.
It didn't take much time to realise Charles knew. He could always read you better than anyone else which you usually loved. He spent days crying into your arms, holding you and refusing to let you leave, mourning the relationship he knew was coming to an end. Neither of you addressed it though, you just waited, hoping the other would talk first. Despite loving him less and less, you loved the relationship you had with him, and you didn't want to leave him.
It was unfair though, you realised. You'd stare at each other and you could see easily how in love he was with you whilst you felt nothing. It was horrible dragging it on, especially knowing he knew, and you couldn't spend time with him without feeling incredibly guilty.
You didn't know how to go about it, telling the man you thought you'd spend your life with you didn't love him, but after sending the text, you knew you'd started it the wrong way.
You weren't surprised by the lack of response, you guessed it might happen, but you stayed home all day knowing he would show up at some point. And at quarter past eleven at night, he did.
You both were sat on the same sofa, not too far apart but far enough you couldn't touch each other without leaning. Charles hadn't looked at you since he arrived, he stared mostly at the floor, very occasionally looking up. It wasn't hard to notice the colour of his eyes - they were bright red, most likely from a mix of crying and rubbing them.
You sat in silence for a while, neither of you saying anything, neither of you wanting to admit the truth. Neither of you had told anyone the issues over the past month, but a few close friends had some ideas.
Charles was playing with his fingers, ripping off skin at the corners, he didn't want to hear what he knew you were going to say but he couldn't sit in the silence any longer without crying.
"Please just get it over with," he whispered, hoping he had the completely wrong idea for the last month.
You paused for a moment, taking deep breaths, trying not to cry yourself, "I'm not in love with you anymore."
It made you feel sick to finally say it out loud. You hated yourself for feeling it and for bottling it in for so long.
The room was silent again but not for long. Charles' head was in his hands, and small sobs could be heard from him.
"Charles, I am so sorry. I didn't want this to happen, I wanted to spend my life with you, I promise."
“Don’t, please,” he cried, voice shaking.
You started to focus on your own breathing again, forcing yourself to hold back from crying, “we can’t be together anymore.”
He looked up, straight at you. You could see his face fully now for the first time, Tears ran down his face, which was already blotchy. He looked tired and hopeless, and you feared he’d only get worse.
“Yeah, no shit,” his voice started off strong before breaking completely at the end, sending out another wave of sobs.
“God, I am so sorry, Charles, I am so sorry,” you sniffled, beginning to cry yourself.
He just shook his head and places it back in his hands. His full body was shaking and he was sobbing harder than you thought possible.
“Can you- can you hold me please?” he choked, barely holding back his cries.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea-”
“Please,” he begged, shamelessly. He didn’t care anymore, you knew he needed you, he didn’t need to hide it.
You moved closer to him, barely, still keeping a safe distance. You placed a hand on his head, not sure what else to do.
Charles made the next move and placed himself right next to you, almost on top of you. He leaned into you, pressing his head into your shoulder. You wrapped your arms around him subconsciously, pulling him closer.
He carried on shaking into you, letting out strangled sobs. They never seemed to end, he just seemed to carry on for what felt like forever. You cried too, into his hair, occasionally pressing tender kisses wherever you could reach.
"Please let me stay tonight, it's too dark for me to drive. Let me just have one last night with you please," he begged, still crying into your shoulder.
You knew it was bullshit - he drove just as well at night as in the day and it was just as dark as when he came, but you didn’t have the energy to dispute him.
“Charles-”
“Please, baby, just one night. Just one.”
You couldn’t answer him. It would be so wrong to say yes but it felt wrong to say no.
“Let me have one last good memory. Let me prove what you’re missing,” he tried pleading again.
You sighed, nodding, not that he could see you. He could feel you though but wasn’t entirely sure if your movements meant anything.
“Hmm, you want to? Please, baby. Talk to me.”
“Okay.”
“Okay, yes? Talk properly.” he ordered, sharply yet quietly, taking more control over his tears.
“Yes Charles,” you responded. He tried to look at you pointedly, silently pushing you for more, but with his tear-stained face it didn't work too well. After knowing him better than anyone, you understood though, “Yes Charles, you can stay.”
“Good answer,” he whispered, turning back into your neck, pressing lazy kisses up and down, “such a good answer angel.”
“Charles,” you almost whined. Almost. It’d be wrong to let him have you the way he wanted whilst he was in this state but God did it feel good.
He was moving down your jaw, leaving wet, loving, kisses in the wake. He was pushing himself into you, moving against your thigh.
“Let me make love to you, baby,” he moaned, rutting his hips faster against yours, “don’t refuse. I know you can’t resist me. Please.”
His face was pressed into your neck, switching between sucking and biting down. His hands moved further down, touching your chest and body in all the right places.
“Yes. Please, Charles.”
————
You slept well that night, better than you had in a long while even though you were still wrapped up in Charles’ arms. You were woken up by him, dabbing light kisses down your neck.
Light fled in through the window, hitting you and Charles perfectly. You awoke to feel his hair tickling your chin, his lips now kissing across your shoulder.
“Charles, not again,” you groaned, not wanting him to stop at all, but you were beginning to feel guilty. You just spent a night with a man who loved you unconditionally, knowing that you didn't, "Come on, Charles, get up."
He carried on kissing you, moving towards your collar bone, then inching further down, "we can go again."
You tangled your hands in his hair, moving his face up, away from your body.
"No, Charles," you paused, taking in a sharp intake of breath as Charles began kissing your jaw, "Charles, you need to go."
He stopped instantly and looked up at you. It was easy to notice the sudden change in demeanour. His playful attitude was gone, replaced with a much more miserable one. He already looked like he was going to cry again.
He'd put last nights conversation to the back of his mind, only focusing on the fact he had you all to himself. He didn't want to remember it either.
"Is there anything I can do to make you love me?" he whispered, brokenly, on the verge of crying again.
He rested his head on your chest, beginning to sob into you. His body was lightly shaking, only getting more vigorous as time went on. You couldn't respond to him - you couldn't even look at him. Guilt ate you up inside, you wanted to love him.
"I think you should go, Charles," you spoke, your voice cracking. You were crying now too.
"I want to stay."
"I don't love you Charles," you cried, "I think it's best if you leave."
"Could you love me again?" he pried, barely being able to speak between gasping for breath, his crying taking over his whole body.
"I think you should go."
"Can you answer me?" he begged.
You didn't want to but you had to. You repeated yourself again, "I think you should go, Charles,"
He propped himself up on his arms, his face over yours. He had tear tracks down his face. He was hopeful when he shouldn't be, "you're not saying no."
"I'm saying I think you should go."
"Please," he asked again, wanting nothing more than you to give in. He always believed, deep down, you were it for him, his forever person, and he really didn't want to give you up.
"Please go, Charles," you pleaded, refusing to look at him. If you could go back in time and fix your feelings, you would, in every timeline, but you couldn't and you regretted it every second.
"I'm going," he sighed, defeatedly, getting up from the bed. He grabbed his clothes, dressing himself with little effort.
He took his time, trying to savour every last bit of time with you, even if it was bittersweet. He took one last look at you before he was out of the door, holding your gaze for as long as he could.
"I promise you I'll love you forever, call me if you'll let me".

Happier
Harry Styles x fem!reader
Summery: Y/n is not happy, despite the smile etched into her face, and nobody can see that, nobody but Harry, who can’t seem to express his concern in a gentle way.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“You look happier.”
What am I supposed to say to that? Thank you? I don’t mean to be mean when nobody meant any harm, but it feels so casually cruel for someone to pick up on the way I’ve changed and mistake my spiraling for happiness.
I don’t know the true shape of my face. My cheeks were round most of my life, meant to be kneaded between the fingers of my working class grandmother while she baked in the kitchen, but more recently the skin has fallen from the bone and what was once rolled between wrinkled fingers is tighter to my face as it strangles me from the inside out.
I don’t recognize myself either. Maybe I never did, because even when I search for the girl I once was, I can never seem to find her. I remember running around as a child with my best friend, the grass stains on my jeans and the holes in my sweater from tug of war’s in his backyard. She was happy, even if she looked tired. She was the happiest I’d ever been, but she was so young. She hadn’t found herself yet and maybe that’s what made life so good, the ignorance of the real world and how it would shape her.
Maybe the real me is the person who reaches out to her friends when she misses them, or maybe its the girl who counted down the days to her seventeenth birthday so she could finally relate to the lyrics of Dancing Queen and mean it finally. But maybe it’s the girl who sits in bed staring at the ceiling wondering why she never made it where everyone else was going. Maybe it’s the girl who wished her mother cared just a little bit more to stop comparing her to her “smarter” friends when she was twelve.
So maybe I do look happy, maybe I am happy. Maybe I have never felt happy before and maybe that’s why I feel so conflicted about if I truly am or if I am just projecting it out to seem that way.
“Harry.”
I call into the darkness, wandering the house party in a sweaty costume sticky with splashes of beer on the fabric, only half of the costume I came with.
The hallway is long and winding, but it always feels that way when I’m not exactly sure if I’m going in the right direction.
“Harry?” I call out again, spotting the other half of my costume.
“Y/n.” He smiles with a sigh, like even though the smoke between his fingers is taking off the edge, I’ve just calmed the entire air surrounding him. For me, it’s the same feeling. When he’s near, everything seems to slow down for a moment. After about the thousandth comment on how much better I looked from some friends of friends, he disappeared, and maybe that’s why their integrating looks bother me so much, because theres no hand to hold onto to distract me from myself.
I slide against the wall to sit with him, my eyes finding purchase on the same cracks across the thin hallway as he did, and the warm blunt being lazily passed from his fingers to mine.
“I think you’re rubbing all your glitter onto my pants.” he breathes out casually into the comfortable silence. I feel the tension in my shoulders expand before fading.
“I think it’s in my eyes too.”
“Just when I thought they couldn’t shine any brighter.” Harry lifts his hand to hook his index finger around my chin, smiling like an idiot when he sees my lips curl comfortably around the joint.
“Well, maybe I feel better than usual. It’s finally reflecting back to you.”
I joke, feeling sick as I recall the conversation from before. I look happier, as if to suggest that before I was miserable, and even if they weren’t wrong about that, the fact that anyone could read that without a second glance scared me. How a stranger could read me before I could.
“Well, you look like shit if you do.”
“Ouch, that obvious?”
“If I counted each time you rolled your eyes when someone told you that whole speech about how good you look, I’d run out of fingers.”
Harry laughs as he takes back the weed to finish it off. I’ve already drank more than him, so the sway in my body becomes more noticeable as the burn sears down my throat.
“It’s just so…wrong. I mean, I guess I feel okay, but do I really look good enough for all this praise?” I ask quietly into the night, my knees pressing against my chest as I hug my calves tightly between my sweaty palms.
“I think you’re very pretty, Y/n. You are pretty. But your face is changing and no amount of glitter can cover that up.” He tells me honestly, rubbing out the dying end onto his knee and sighing at the burn.
“If you still believe that then I haven’t used enough glitter.” I try to joke, to brush away the rising bile in my throat and tension in the air.
“You can fool anyone else, but I know you. Even if you’re not who you once were, I still know you because I love you.”
“Well you shouldn’t. I’m a leech. I’ll fucking suck up all the joy from your life until you’re too exhausted to leave.” I smiled at the ground drunkenly, head hung low and my eyes heavy.
“But I do. You’re my best friend and it’s pathetic how you let yourself fall so low.” Harry flicks out the end of the blunt, watching the ashes fall the floor and stain the carpet lining the thin hallway.
“I came to you for comfort, you know. Not to get drilled in a bunny costume.” I roll my eyes, the haze clearing at his bitter remarks.
“Well tough luck, I guess. You look like shit for a girl who everyone here thinks is so happy.” Harry looks at me, his hand moving to wipe away the glitter by my eye.
“I need air.” I stand up, almost stumbling against the faint curling of the carpet at the edges. It’s new and that’s how you can tell, it hasn’t fully sunken into the floor, and it’s such a shame that it’s forever stuck with the glitter from my costume and the ashes of Harry’s joint.
“You need help.”
I stop, and there’s a beat that passes.
“You’re a real asshole when you’re high, you know. I have my own shit, I don’t need to be taking yours too.” I smile at him, but only because he was smiling at me.
“Maybe I am.” He responds plainly, and when he looks the other way, I feel heavier than before, more picked apart than before, more vulnerable than before.
Theres a thousand eyes on my back just waiting for me to crack, like the chip in my tooth from how hard I’m smiling while talking to strangers about my hopeless life. And they all say I look happier.
“But y/n,” Harry calls out for me, and for a moment I believe he might apologize.
“You look happy.”

Hello! You wanted ideas? I have a random.thought I'd like to share! Oh I am a writer myself, so bear with me here!
Imagine that after the with shishitoren, you go to check Ume's bite. Because you know, bites can get infected awfully easily.
After checking, it seems fine. Just like Ume promised it was.
So you say " Hm, well.. from all have seen, it seems like you will have a very interesting hicky."
Which makes Ume slightly concerned:
" Yeah it's not that- wait what? That you had seen?"
You giggle and confirm. The boy freaks out:
" Y/N, seriously, what do YOU know about hickys??"
To which you smile at him before walking away:
" What I know indeed~"
That makes him flush red. Worried sick and slightly jealous by what that means.
But the thing is, you were used on trying to hide your friend's hicky. So you have seen a few.
Alas Ume wondered what you meant. Kotoha had to reassure him you were just messing with him.
Once alone, he wondered what it would be like to give you hicky. Which made him blush a lot and he started to scold himself to have such thoughts and tried to forget that idea.
But the image of a mark on you looked pretty good on his head.
Thank you for reading!
OOOOOHOO THIS IS SO YUMMY
imagine the conflicting feelings Ume would have 😭
“Ume?” he hums in reply, eyes still glued to your face as you stand between his legs and scan him for more injuries, “Move your neck a little, lemme see the bite.”
He tilts his head to the right, just a bit. Though he’s told you he’s fine, you always like to check, to make sure it’s up to your standard of fine.
You’re so..cute. He wants to bite you up. “That tickles!” he whines as your fingers splay on his nape as you unwrap the bandage to change it.
“Woah!” you exclaim with a chuckle, leaning down to look at it,. You’re so close to his face, his cheeks rings with the lightest shade of red, “That’s going to heal and look like someone gave you a huge hickey! The boy are going to have a field day teasing you.”
His blush darkens at your teasing words, “W-what?” he chuckles, “How’d you know what a hickey looks like?” he teases.
You just smile and wink at him teasingly and if it was any other situation he’d have taken your wrist and pulled you to him and kissed the daylight’s out of you but now he’s-
What is he feeling?
It’s not something he feels very often, there’s nothing for him to be feeling this way over.
“Is my boy jealous?” you croon from above him, your hands slowly making their way to the back of his neck and playing with the strands there, each stroke making him more pliant in your hands, his head tilts up seemingly of its own accord.
You’re so unbelievably adorable. He’s never adored someone this way, and his blood runs cold when he thinks that someone else got to love you before he did. That maybe your hands played with their hair and you kissed them when they were tired too.
“Me? Jealous? Please.” he scoffs, looking away, desperately trying to calm his nerves. You huff out a laugh and step back from the circle of his legs, taking the first aid kit back to the storage on the terrace.
With your back turned, you don’t see your boyfriend whip his phone out and hurriedly text someone like a mad man.
“Hello my sweet younger sister i know you and my girlfriend are close did she date anyone before me? haha :DD”
“….Uhh.”
“DONT BE MEAN.”
“She hasn’t been this serious with anyone.”
“Rlly???”
“Yes, you big BABY. I’m busy! Tell the boys to come over later, and you bring my friend with you, i’ve missed her.”
“You’re telling me to come over? AWWWWW MY SWEET SISTER🥹🥹”
“i take it back, STAY THERE.”
“🥺🥺🥺”
“BYE.”
Your hands wind around his neck from behind and you smooch his cheek, he closes his eyes in glee and leans to smother your face in little pecks that have you giggling and him pulling you into his arms again.
After a few moments of silence, he speaks, “I lied. I was jealous.”
You snort, “Knew it.” He shoved you a little and you laugh.
“So.. was your boyfriend better than me?” he raises his eyebrow teasingly.
“For the record,” you meet his eyes, “You’re my first serious boyfriend, and the only one i’ve ever kissed, so you don’t have to be that jealous. And I know so much about hickeys because i had to help my friend hide them many times for school.”
He heaves out a sigh, “Ah I see.”
“You baby.”
“I’m your baby.” he sing songs and your face flushes.
He has direct access to your neck in the position he has you in, and he gets the urge to shove his face into its crook and kiss you there. Maybe even leave a mark of his own, maybe leave a few of them. So anyone who saw you would know that you were all his and that they couldn’t have you. He’d be quick about it too, just a kiss and a nip and a soothing kiss again-
“Hey, you with me?” your voice drags him out his thoughts and he blushes, looking up in an attempt to hide his face from you. He feels a little ashamed to have thoughts like this, if you ever found out, you’d be so creeped out, he’s sure of it. He should just come clean and apologise.
But then he feels a light kiss on the column of his neck, right below his ear and his eyes roll back.
He’s the strongest guy in Furin. He leads a gang who is feared among others. He’s a force to be reckoned with.
But right now, he’s weak. You let him be weak and he’s never been more at peace.

you inhale deeply, lightly patting your wound with a washcloth. there really shouldn't be any reason for mindy's voice to be ringing over in your head "be careful with him." she'd told you before you left to go back to your boyfriend's dorm, seeing as your apartment had turned into a crime scene. the drive there had been in complete silence, save for ethan occasionally checking in on you. it's been silent between the two of you since you'd seen him, truthfully.
it's silly, really. to even think about it. especially considering the implications of what it would mean to you. to your relationship. shrugging off whatever ill-intended thoughts that swarm your mind, you glance towards your boyfriend. and yet you can't help the worry and suspicion that settles like a weight in your chest.
ethan must have noticed the way you're staring at him, because the next thing he says takes you by surprise. "why are you looking at me like that?" he asks quietly. "do you think i'm the killer, too?"
you can't prevent the underlying tone of worry in your voice when you finally muster up the courage to reply, you don't even know what you've said until you hear the sound of your own voice ringing back in your ears. "i don't know what to think," you say, your voice barely above a whisper. "it's just- it's... you keep disappearing every time something happens. where were you, e? i needed you with me. and you weren't there. i was stabbed- i lost anika. my best friend died infront of me and you weren't there."
ethan's face is a mask of cold anger, though the softness you've been familiar to for the past year still glimmering in his eyes. "i told you angel, i was at econ. and i'm telling you again, i didn't do it. you have to believe me."
"after everything that's happened... after last year with sam- i'm just not sure what to think anymore. with everything that they're saying... i just-" you pause, cutting yourself off. this isn't even a conversation you want to be having right now.
a long beat passes before ethan speaks up. "they? who is they? mindy? anika? tara? i'm so tired of being accused of being the killer. what's to say those bitches aren't the killers themselves? huh?" although he keeps his composure, his tone is laced with venom. you've never heard him talk like this before.
"i just feel like i don't even know who you are anymore." you whisper, letting go of what you had held back from saying a moment before.
"that's a shame," he says, leaning in closer to you. his tone completely different, it's as if something had shifted in him within a few seconds. "because i feel like i know you better than anyone. in fact, i know everything about you. your fears, your desires, your weaknesses...all of it."
"that's...unsettling," you say, pulling away from him.
"oh, come on," a grin spreads over his face, his tone dripping with implication. "don't tell me you don't find it a little bit exciting. the idea that someone knows you so intimately, someone who's willing to do anything to be with you..." he trails off, his eyes darkening. "it's kind of romantic, don't you think?"
"no, it's not," you say, voice shaking. "it's sick. i don't like the way you're talking to me, ethan. you're scaring me."
"am i?" ethan says in a low scoff, barely audible. "you should be scared, sweetheart. you have no idea what i'm capable of."
you can barely register what he's saying. is this some sick twisted game to him? is he being his usual sarcastic self? surely not- not after what you just went through. your mind is drowning in endless vivid images of your boyfriend brutally murdering innocent people, your friends, your loved ones. this is the man who you've spent every sleepless night with for a year now, the man who you've devoted yourself to in every way possible, and in his own words, a man who knows you so intimately- in ways which you don't even know yourself. "what are you going to do?"
"nothing, as long as you behave." a twisted smile spreads across his face as he eyes your wound, his voice so low. "though that says otherwise, hmm?" he laughs. he actually laughs. "believe me, i never meant for it to happen, princess. but you just had to try and protect anika, and i thought you were mindy- god how i wish it had been that bitch. though i figure she got her warning."
you can't speak. it's as if every fiber of your being has shut down. ethan reaches out to tuck a piece of hair behind your ear, and you let him. you know you should be screaming, shoving him away, running even. but you don't do any of those things. instead, you stare at your boyfriend as he towers over you, accepting the fact that any second now he'd make a move to hurt you. but ethan let's out a soft chuckle when he takes in the expression plastered over your face. "oh my sweet dumb thing. i love you, remember? i'd never hurt you. don't worry, baby. i'd sooner die before i let anything happen to you ever again."

love and all its cons
Tumblr media
୨୧ ━━ ❛ it’s difficult for one to familiarize themselves with the mystery that is your and isagi’s relationship, something that significantly blurs the line between friends and lovers. ❜
word count ⋆ 7.2k (7,278) genre ⋆ fluff, secret established relationship, 5+1 ━ pro-football player!isagi, pro-volleyball player & gn!reader
after months of you and isagi sending each other shy smiles, yearning glances, and dancing around your feelings, bachira decides it’s time for him and the rest of the team to intervene. mission: get isagi a significant other is a go!
warnings ⋆ alcohol consumption, all characters are 20+, everyone is a little bit of an idiot and oblivious, (brief) jealous isagi, i snuck in hinata from haikyuu!! in here bc i love him sorry, that’s it i think lmk if i missed anything!
Tumblr media
“Yeah, you’re right.”
Bachira immediately knows something’s wrong when Itoshi Rin of all people agrees with him.
The whole team is taken aback by it, too, showing their surprise with wide eyes and thinly veiled confusion. Towards the back, Reo opens up the news app on his phone, muttering about how Rin’s agreement must be some sort of bad omen, an indication that the world is ending.
“I’m sorry,” Chigiri starts, eyes narrowed, “did you just agree with Bachira? Like, willingly?”
Rin tsks, throwing all of them a look of annoyance. “Yes.”
“Are you sick or something?”
Reo finally makes his concern known, clutching his chest dramatically as he declares, “Oh, God. I really should’ve been a survivalist. Does anyone want to come to the store with me to buy non-perishables?”
Nagi sighs tiredly, rubbing his eyes with the heel of his palm. “Reo, it’s too early for you to be overdramatic.”
“It is 5pm. Practice just ended.”
Nagi responds with a yawn.
Bachira snaps out of his daze with a shake of his head. He grabs onto Rin’s arm despite the boy growling at him to let go, and forces the team into a huddle with a conspiring smile on his face. They watch him warily; a grin like that could only mean trouble, and the last time Bachira managed to drag them into his shenanigans, they ended up being slandered on national television for breaking and entering.
(He had somehow convinced the entire team it would be funny to break into Ego’s house and scare him awake).
(It was not funny. Practices for the next three months were grueling).
“We should set them up together!” Bachira exclaims delightfully.
For a moment, nobody speaks. Then, everyone looks over to Kunigami who, just last week, had come to practice with a venomous bite in his words after going on a date with someone Bachira set him up with.
Almost immediately, everyone’s voices overlap as ideas are shut down and new ones are suggested, unaware of you and Isagi watching them with a mixture of amusement and confusion. While his teammates aren’t looking, Isagi presses a kiss to your cheek and grabs you by the wrist to the farthest side of the field, where the both of you can discuss your plans for dinner without worrying about someone hearing you.
“We should just lock them up in the supply closet,” Reo says.
Kunigami shakes his head. “That would be a disaster.”
“What makes you think that?”
“I just do.”
Zantetsu muses, “Should we send both of them flowers and sign the card so they’ll think they were the ones who sent it?”
Rin scrunches his nose. “I am not spending my money on those two idiots.”
Nagi huffs. “Wouldn’t it be easier if we just told them they like each other?”
Bachira waves him off. “No. There’s no fun in that.” Then, a lightbulb turns on, and he’s clapping his hands with the excitement of a child waking up on Christmas day. “Ah! We make the both of them jealous.”
“No,” Kunigami shuts the suggestion down with a frown on his face. “that’ll create misunderstandings—”
“Awww,” Bachira whines with a pout, “you’re no fun!”
Across the field, you watch the exchange with furrowed eyebrows as Isagi orders takeout on his phone. He follows your gaze, snickering when Reo reaches over to smack Zantetsu’s head but misses and hits Rin in the face instead. Even from here, you hear everyone shouting at each other as Rin attempts to smack Reo but ends up landing a hit on Chigiri when Reo quickly ducks out of the way.
“What the hell are they doing?” you mutter as Bachira tackles Nagi with a giggle.
Isagi shrugs unhelpfully. “Don’t know.”
Someone knocks Zantetsu’s glasses of his face, which results in him gasping loudly. The arguments don’t cease despite the fact that they’re now all on the ground, attacking each other with punches and kicks only meant to bruise.
“You’re friends with a bunch of idiots, babe.”
Isagi, ever the dramatic boyfriend, looks at you as if you’ve said something so incredibly hurtful. “Excuse me, you’re friends with them, too.”
“Yeah,” you say, wincing when Bachira jumps onto Kunigami’s back and starts ruffling his hair, “Yeah, unfortunately, I am.”
Tumblr media
attempt one: bachira meguru & kunigami rensuke.
When Bachira tells Kunigami he’s planning on tricking the two of you into going on a date and watching from the sidelines, Kunigami feels he owes it to both you and Isagi to tag along, seeing as the last time he let Bachira meddle with someone’s love life (i.e. his), it ended with a chipped tooth and a trip to the dentist’s office.
(Bachira insists it’s not his fault Kunigami punched his date. Kunigami insists it is because there was absolutely no reason for Bachira to set the date up at a Five Nights at Freddy’s themed party).
This is how Kunigami finds himself lurking behind a blue van as you and Isagi walk across the parking lot, talking animatedly as you make your way towards the entrance of the arcade. Every now and then, Isagi checks his phone with annoyance and you glance at your watch with a frown.
Kunigami phone buzzes in his pocket. He already knows what the notification is before he sees it.
groupchat: blue lock!!! 🥳⚽️❤️‍🔥
isagi 🤓 > where r u guys?
Beside him, Bachira’s fingers dash across his keyboard.
bachira 🐝 > sorry! D: I won’t be able to make it 😣😓 > looks like it’s just you and y/n~~~ 😉😉😉
isagi 🤓 > ??? > what about the rest of the team
bachira 🐝 > they’re all sick unfortunately !! ):
At this point, you and Isagi have already made it to the doors. Kunigami is too far away to read Isagi’s expression, but he looks at you for a long moment, says something that makes you laugh, before he turns back to his phone.
isagi 🤓 > really?? ALL of you are sick???
bachira 🐝 > yep!
Bachira kicks Kunigami’s shin and gestures towards his phone. The taller boy sighs and begrudgingly sends a message to the groupchat.
kunigami 😵‍💫 > yeah > cough cough
Bachira hums approvingly before walking around the car and hastily making his way to the entrance. Kunigami is quick to follow, lowering his head and bending his knees in hopes to not attract any attention with his height.
Once they step inside, Kunigami is forced to lift his chin up as he searches the crowd for any sign of his friends.
“There they are!” Bachira declares excitedly, pointing to a large claw machine before dragging Kunigami to hide behind the pinball machine.
Isagi has one hand on the joystick and the other hovering over a red button, his tongue sticking out in concentration. He leans closer to the glass as the claw hovers over a blue plushie, and just as he pushes the button, you shove his other arm, causing the claw to move forward and come down at the same time. The claw, predictably, grabs onto nothing, causing Isagi to turn to you with a pout on his lips.
“Hey!” he whines, softening when your head meets his chest as your shoulders shake with laughter.
“I’m sorry,” you say in between giggles. When you look up at him, he tries his best to look unimpressed, but he can’t bite back the smile that blooms across his face. “I’m sorry, Yoichi, I really am, but you have to admit it was pretty funny.”
“And to think I was going to win that for you!”
You glance at him, unconvinced, and then to the Snorlax plushie staring back at the both of you. “Yeah, right. You were gonna keep that for yourself.”
It’s silent for two heartbeats before Isagi sighs. “Yeah, I was gonna keep it for myself.”
“You’re a terrible boyf—”
“Um, excuse me?”
Kunigami and Bachira jump in surprise, turning to face an exhausted employee. She has her arms crossed over her chest as she suspiciously looks between the pair of football players hiding behind an arcade game. Kunigami’s eyes widen in realization. He doesn’t exactly know what conclusion this woman has come to, but he knows that two men — with baseball caps on their heads, sunglasses on the bridge of their noses, and masks on their faces — lurking in the shadows of an arcade is bound raise a few eyebrows.
“Oh, hello!” Bachira greets with too much chirpiness for Kunigami’s liking, but he can tell his friend is nervous when Bachira glances at you and Isagi, who still — thankfully — haven’t looked over to the commotion by the pinball machines. “Sorry, we were just… waiting for our turn.”
The woman blinks. “You’ve been standing here doing nothing for five minutes. Nobody’s touched the pinball machine because they thought you guys were going to play.”
Kunigami scratches the back of his neck. “Well…”
He doesn’t continue.
The woman looks at them incredulously. “Well?”
Kunigami looks at Bachira, panicked, silently begging for help. Bachira blinks back up at him and shrugs.
Ever since he met Bachira Meguru, Kunigami swears years have been continuously removed from his lifespan.
“We can’t allow you guys to stay if you’re not going to play any games. It’s company policy.”
“Oh! Then we’ll just play! Um…” Kunigami trails off as he begins patting his pockets, eyebrows knitting together when he feels wrappers, his ID, house keys — everything but his wallet. He looks at Bachira. “I don’t have any money.”
“Well, don’t look at me! I don’t have any, either!”
Across from them, the woman sighs.
Kunigami’s eyes almost pop out of their sockets. “What do you mean? You paid our taxi driver!”
Bachira nods. “Yes, but that was the last of my change.”
Kunigami’s eye twitches.
Over at the claw machine, you and Isagi have diverted your attention towards your friends. Your suspicion is written all over your face and Isagi, with a grin bright enough to rival the sun, has pulled out his phone to record.
“Is that…?”
Isagi snickers. “Yup.”
“I thought you said they were sick.”
“That’s what they told me,” Isagi explains, holding in his laughter as the employee politely asks Kunigami and Bachira to leave the vicinity. “But I think they’re just spying on us.”
Curiously, you ask, “Why would they do that?”
Isagi doesn’t respond. Instead, he ends the video and pulls up Blue Lock’s groupchat, which includes him and all his teammates. He scrolls up to a text from two nights ago.
bachira 🐝 > okay operation set isagi and y/n up is a GO!!!! :D 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 > does everyone remember their positions?!! 🫡
rin 😐 > Please shut the fuck up
Tumblr media
attempt two: zantetsu tsurugi.
Zantetsu is stressed.
He’s been watching Isagi like a hawk ever since practice started, sticking to him like glue by never leaving his side. He follows Isagi when it’s time for drills, chats with him during break, and joins him to his trip to the water fountain. And yet, despite how much they’ve talked today, Isagi still has yet to mention the flowers.
Zantetsu’s learned the hard way that flowers are expensive, but he still sent two bouquets last night — one to your apartment and one to Isagi’s; he’d even gotten Bachira to sign the cards so it would look like you got the flowers for each other.
(When Reo said the forgery was awful, Zantetsu dismissed him with a roll of his eyes).
But Isagi hasn’t said a word about it. And, during the fifteen minutes you popped by, you didn’t say anything about it, either.
Zantetsu sits on the bench, close to pulling his hair out. On one side of him is Nagi, nonchalant as his thumbs dash across his phone screen; on the other side is Reo, who watches you and Isagi laugh with a look of disgust plastered across his face.
“I don’t get it,” Zantetsu groans, putting his head in his hands. “I checked with the florist six times.”
Reo snorts. “Are you sure you got their addresses right?”
“Yes! Look!” Zantetsu opens up his phone and scrolls through the digital receipt in his email. Reo looks over his shoulder and confirms the addresses with a grunt.
Nagi barely glances at his teammate’s screen before muttering, “Stupid Zantetsu.”
“What! but I did everything right!”
“Well, there’s no one else to blame,” Nagi drawls. “You’re the only one who bought the flowers.”
Zantetsu slips off the bench and lies down on the grass, muttering incoherent complaints while Nagi pays him no mind and Reo starts poking his side with the toe of his shoe.
(What Zantetsu doesn’t know, however, is that you did receive the flowers. Isagi had been at your apartment when you got the delivery and texted you that someone on the team had sent you daisies along with a card that badly resembled his signature).
(There is also the fact that Isagi spends more time at your apartment than he does at his. Five months after Zantetsu ordered the flowers, you and Isagi go to his home to pack up his things so he can officially move in with you, only to find a bouquet of dead roses on his doorstep).
Tumblr media
attempt three: chigiri hyoma, mikage reo, & nagi seishiro.
Reo kind of likes the power that comes with playing God.
Ever since Kunigami and Bachira got kicked out of the arcade, Reo’s been plotting. He’s unlike his usual self — instead of bursting with energy, Reo comes to practice silent. He’s scrutinizing Isagi so much that the boy has started avoiding him; he’s been asking you random questions whenever you visit; under the guise of caring for his teammates, Reo has made a shared Google calendar and forced everyone to add their schedules to it (really, he’s just trying to see when Isagi is free so he can set this plan in motion).
And what Reo wants, Reo gets, and Chigiri shouldn’t have been surprised when Reo comes up to him with a 30-slide PowerPoint.
“Hear me out,” he’d said when Chigiri opened the door to his apartment. “I’m a fucking genius.”
Chigiri had no time to reply before Reo was letting himself in.
The party — a trap disguised in diamonds and alcohol, is what Reo refers to this as — is in full swing when Chigiri arrives, toeing off his shoes as he nods to familiar faces whose names he can’t quite remember and brushing off anyone who offers him a drink. He finds Nagi in the corner leaning against the wall, surprisingly off his phone, and staring at two people in the living room.
You and Isagi have taken the couch hostage. While there may be room for someone to sit, Chigiri can see why people don’t. Even from a few feet away, he feels as if he’s intruding when he watches Isagi stare up at you with his head in your lap and your fingers combing through his hair.
There is no way friends are this affectionate with each other.
Chigiri doesn’t have time to dwell before Bachira, who may as well be bouncing off the walls, swoops in to pull Isagi off your lap. He slowly rises, engulfed with sharp irritation that’s wiped away as soon as you place a hand on your shoulder and murmur a temporary farewell.
“They’re stupid,” Nagi mutters. Chigiri silently agrees.
It doesn’t take long for Reo to find them, hyper and euphoric, and Chigiri wonders if he’s either drunk off alcohol or adrenaline. He places a hand on both Chigiri and Nagi’s shoulders before declaring in true dramatic Mikage Reo fashion, “It’s game time.”
Nagi cringes. “But I’m too tired.”
“I gave you the easiest assignment!” Reo exclaims incredulously.
“Luring Isagi into your room sounds far from easy.”
“Would you rather be chasing after Y/N?”
Nagi frowns, glancing over at you. You’re strategically slipping through the crowd to avoid people you don’t want to speak to, politely giving them smiles before you disappear from sight. It’s almost as if the shadows are swallowing you whole and teleporting you to another area in the penthouse.
Nagi shakes his head and halfheartedly wishes Chigiri good luck before beginning his search for Isagi.
Chigiri sighs as Reo slaps him on the shoulder and pushes him out from his safe place against the wall, similar to that of a mother letting her child play in the playground. A rather chaotic, migraine-inducing playground.
With an annoyed huff, he begins walking the perimeters of the penthouse, scanning the crowd in hopes of finding you in your desperate attempts to vanish. He knows you find these rambunctious gatherings more bearable when you’re with Isagi; you may be friends with the entire team (one time he overheard Zantetsu saying you were one of his emergency contacts), but there is nothing that compares to your closeness with Isagi. People have tried and failed to puncture the bubble the two of you live in.
It’s difficult for one to familiarize themselves with the mystery that is your and Isagi’s relationship, something that significantly blurs the line between friends and lovers.
Chigiri may not be as observant as his other teammates, but he can spot love when he sees it. Especially if it is so ridiculously obvious that it might as well be as blinding as the sun.
He finds you in mere minutes — clearly not fast enough for Reo, who he knows is the culprit behind the continuous buzzing coming from his device. You’re in the kitchen, sitting atop a counter, nursing a glass of apple juice. When you see Chigiri in the doorway, you smile, though the tension in your body remains.
“Hi,” you greet. He makes his way towards you, swift but nonchalant. “Having fun?”
“A little. You?” At your grimace, he laughs. “You didn’t seem to be this miserable when I saw you with Isagi earlier.”
It’s bait, you know it’s bait. He expects you to brush it off with stammered words and wandering eyes but instead you shrug, hiding your smile behind the cup. If Chigiri is surprised at your silent admission, he doesn’t show it.
“Yeah, but he’s not here right now, so…”
Chigiri hums teasingly. “You two looked cozy on the couch.”
You snort, downing the rest of your juice before placing the cup in the sink beside you. “He was just telling me about how Zantetsu was trailing after him like a lost puppy yesterday at practice.”
Comparing Zantetsu’s behaviour to that of a puppy is pushing it, but Chigiri decides now isn’t the time to protest. He wonders if you’re aware about the flower mishap — or if you even received the flowers in the first place.
“Did you get flowers a few days ago?”
You raise an eyebrow. “Uh, yeah. It said they were from Yoichi.” Chigiri’s eyes widen, urging you to continue. Maybe, just maybe, he won’t have to resort to locking you in a room to deal with your feelings. “But the penmanship was so atrociously bad I assumed the bouquet was from Bachira.”
All hope disappears. It shows in the way Chigiri’s shoulders droop and the way he rubs his temples, missing your small, amused smirk.
“Okay,” Chigiri clasps his hands together with the type of determination you only see on the football field. “You’re hopeless.”
You scoff. “Excuse me?”
“I know where Isagi is,” Chigiri states instead of offering an explanation.
Getting you to follow him is easy enough. With childlike excitement, you jump off the counter and trail behind him with a smile on your face. There seems to be more energy and pep in your steps, and your smile is so wide Chigiri is surprised you’re able to keep it on your face without your cheeks hurting.
And this doesn’t even compare to how Isagi acts at the sole mention of you. Chigiri wonders if setting the two of you up is the best for his sanity; he’s not quite sure he’ll be able to handle such a chipper, lovesick Isagi everyday during practice.
But then he glances at his notifications, snorting at Nagi’s anguished messages to hurry up, because hearing Isagi talk about you is much worse than watching three cheesy Hallmark romcoms back to back. Perhaps, Chigiri thinks, it would be cruel to not push the two of you together. He can worry about the suffering he’ll have to endure in the future.
Once he’s led you to the end of the hallway where Reo and Nagi loiter just outside the guest room, you falter in your steps. The next few seconds are a flurry of confusion and snappy remarks, and the next thing you know, you’re shoved into a room and the door behind you is locked with an obnoxious click.
Isagi shoots up from where he was previously lying on the bed. “Thank God you’re here. I wasn’t sure if they were just going to leave me in here by myself.”
You sigh, making your way towards the bed. Isagi shuffles to make space for you. His hands find their home around your waist before he uses them to pull you against him.
You grumble as he nestles his face into the crook of your neck. “You were right.”
You feel him smirk against your skin. “Right about what?” he asks with faux perplexity.
“You know what.”
“Hm, I really don’t.”
You huff, flicking the back of his hand, and he responds with a laugh. “They’re trying to set us up.”
“Yeah, that much was obvious, babe.”
“I thought they already knew,” you say, meeting his gaze when he lifts his head up to meet yours.
“I thought we agreed to keep this a secret.”
“No, I know,” you say, but then you gesture towards the door, and add, with bewildered mirth, “but it’s not like we’re being very secretive. I thought they would have figured it out by now.”
Isagi guffaws and despite just how loud it is, you lean into his touch, yearning to hear it again. “Didn’t you say they were idiots?”
“I didn’t think they were this oblivious.”
“And to think that’s what they’re saying about us,” Isagi smiles but it turns serious as he places his chin on your shoulder. “But do you want to tell them?”
You want to say yes. When you first agreed to this secret relationship — to avoid pressing questions and people invading your privacy — sneaking around quickly became tiresome. And it still is, though you admit it’s nicer to interact with your boyfriend in the confines of your apartment and the stadium whenever you visit, away from any prying eyes that could twist every interaction. You feel the most comfortable with him there, away from the public eye, and you know he feels the same way.
However, it might be nice for your close friends to know.
But then you remember how, just last night, you and Isagi were huddled around his phone, laughing at the ridiculous plans his teammates have made in order to get you two alone together. It seems that they’ve forgotten that your boyfriend’s in the chat too, and their naivety has become newfound entertainment.
You’re curious to find out what else they have up their sleeves. When you look at Isagi, you know he shares the same sentiment.
He grins. “That’s settled, then. What do you think they’re going to do next?”
“Bachira seems very adamant about the jealousy plan.”
Isagi snorts. “I kind of want to see where he goes with that.”
Your eyes narrow. “Why?”
He pecks your nose. “Because you’re cute when you’re jealous. And it boosts my ego.” you scoff, but before you can even think about replying, Isagi says, “Hey, do you want to leave and make out in Reo’s room?”
“We’re locked in here,” you deadpan.
Isagi lets go of you and walks towards the door. He points at the doorknob with a wide grin on his face.
The room locks from both the inside and the out.
You let out a disappointed sigh.
Sometimes you worry that the next time you see Reo, he’s going to be swindled out of a million dollars.

attempt four: bachira meguru (again) ft. itoshi rin.
This really could be the best idea Bachira’s ever had — the thing is, though, nobody has the slightest ounce of faith in him. Which, if he’s being honest, is kind of offensive.
(So what if he and Kunigami got kicked out of the arcade a few days ago? Sometimes genius plans fail! It doesn’t mean Bachira’s lost his touch).
The team has found themselves at a gala, surrounded by athletes and sponsors alike in a large ballroom smelling of wealth and prestige. Caterers carrying trays of champagne flutes slip through the crowd with practiced ease, faces painted with polite smiles that do not waver despite the football team’s — read: Bachira and Zantetsu’s — overwhelming excitement.
Rin, who narrowly escaped a conversation with a bubbly volleyball player he barely remembers the name of, walks into a prison as worse as forced small-talk. With Bachira by his side, he scowls as the shorter boy starts unsubtly pointing towards you and Isagi, whispering amongst yourselves with reserved smiles and fond eyes.
“This is stupid,” Rin says monotonously when Bachira suggests that Rin should split you and Isagi apart.
“It’s not!” Bachira argues, growing annoyed at Rin’s apathy. “Tonight’s the best night to make one of ‘em jealous. Hey, what about I split them up and you make them jealous?”
Rin’s response is simple and curt, “No.”
Bachira sighs, though he can’t say he’s surprised.
The night goes on without many bumps in the road. Rin stays by Bachira once he learns that nobody’s willing to talk to him if he pretends he’s preoccupied in a conversation, no matter how one-sided it is. Some of his teammates join in for a bit before they drift away again; Reo stops by to encourage them to talk to sponsors (Rin scowls in response), Kunigami and Zantetsu tell Rin on separate occasions he looks like he stepped in shit, Chigiri halfheartedly wishes Bachira luck, and even Nagi came by for a few minutes to talk to them.
The only teammate Rin hasn’t spoken a word to is Isagi.
He really doesn’t care, but he thinks he’d rather have a conversation with him than have to painfully watch him pine over you. The sight of it bothers him so much he’s actually considering going along with Bachira’s plan, but before he can open his mouth and spout out words he’ll likely regret, somebody comes by and takes you away.
And you let him.
For a moment, Rin’s eyes widen.
“What the—” Bachira squeaks, jaw slack. “Who is that?”
Rin recognizes the man as one of the people he avoided having a conversation with. His hair is bright, matching the excitement in his grin and the radiance in his eyes, and Rin’s pretty sure he’s seen him on billboards and advertisements hanging on the large glass windows of retail stores.
There is familiarity in his touch, Rin realizes. But there is something between the two of you that doesn’t match the atmosphere between you and Isagi — there are joyful grins and clumsy movements, sure, but it all seems friendly.
He frowns, glances at Bachira, only to find him staring at Isagi, and Rin wonders if the champagne has messed with his imagination or if there is actual smoke is coming out of Isagi’s ears.
Well. At least Bachira didn’t even have to lift a finger.
Only a couple seconds pass before Isagi grumbles and stands from his seat, walking over to where Rin and Bachira watch you and the unknown man dance next to the other couples in the ballroom. When Isagi stands in front of them, he is the perfect picture of a man wronged, his usual boyish smile replaced with an annoyed frown.
“Hello, Yoichi!” Bachira greets, though his voice is strained, and his wandering eyes don’t fail to show his discomfort. “We haven’t seen you all night.”
Isagi grunts. “Sorry.”
Rin really shouldn’t find pleasure in this, but he thinks it’s a little funny. However, his face is blank when he states, “Y/N looks like they’re having fun.”
Rin expects Isagi to glare at him with the same intensity he has on the field, but Isagi only pouts. “Uh-huh.”
“Who’s the guy they’re dancing with?” asks Bachira.
“His name’s Hinata,” Isagi grumbles, taking a champagne flute from a passing caterer’s tray. He mumbles a thanks before continuing, “He’s a volleyball player, so they met through that when he first moved to Tokyo.”
“Ah,” Bachira nods. Then, rubbing salt into the wound, he adds, “So they’re, like, super close?”
“I guess?”
“Are they dating?”
Isagi’s expression sours. “Definitely not.”
“How unfortunate,” Rin muses. He doesn’t bother to veil the glint of mischief in his eye, but Isagi is too preoccupied swirling his glass in disgust to notice, “They’d look nice together.”
(Bachira is sure the world has been thrown off-balance. Did Itoshi Rin just play instigator? For the sake of his teammate’s love life? He feels like this moment needs to be documented).
Isagi hums but doesn’t offer anything else. His posture is a lot more rigid than usual and he burns holes into the back of your head with an infuriating amount of infatuated neediness. It is only when the song ends that he relaxes, smiling wide when you part ways with Hinata to make your way to him.
Like metal to a magnet, you attach yourself to Isagi’s side, eyebrows furrowing at Rin’s contemplation and Bachira’s determination.
Shuffling awkwardly on your feet, you flash the both of them a wary smile before asking, “Are you guys having fun?”
Bachira grins and your stomach sinks. You’re not sure if you’re going to like where this is going to go. “Not as fun as you, I bet!”
You share a look with Isagi that only the two of you can decipher. “What do you mean?”
“We saw you dancing with Hinata,” your friend explains animatedly, pointing towards the boy seated at a table with his own teammates. “He’s cute! Have you ever thought about dating him?”
Rin’s face contorts into one of displeasure. Bachira does not have one subtle bone in his body.
You blink. Isagi places a hand on your shoulder and squeezes, an action that doesn’t go unnoticed. “No? He’s my friend.”
“Oh! So, like Isagi?”
Isagi’s hand drops from your shoulder. Beside him, you’re biting the inside of your cheek, but the amusement on your face is as clear as day. “Bachira,” Isagi warns, frazzled and panicked.
Bachira frowns, confused by Isagi’s uneasiness. “What?” he questions, tone light and mischievous. He draws all his focus onto you, and you suddenly feel as if you’ve been shoved into an interrogation room. “It’s just a question! Even Rin said you two would look nice together!”
“He’s a friend,” you repeat, and it feels more like a reassurance for the boy next to you than anything else. “Speaking of which, Hinata wanted to talk to you, Yoichi, about the game last week. He said he wanted to congratulate you.”
Isagi brightens at the reminder of his goal that earned them a victory. “Oh—!”
“Wait,” Bachira interjects, eyebrows raised in curiosity. “You know him? Like, personally?”
“Yeah, we’re friends—”
Bachira gapes. “You have friends?”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“I meant other than us!” Bachira adds quickly. His mouth is hanging open, and the loudness of his shock has drawn the attention of the other guests, causing you to shrink into yourself. Your hand finds Isagi’s before you tug him away, throwing apologetic glances at any questioning looks you find yourself on the receiving end of.
“You idiot,” Rin hisses, “people are staring.”
Before Bachira can say anything more about his utter shock at Isagi having a social life outside of football, someone taps Rin on the shoulder. It’s an older man, presumably someone who wants to sponsor him, and at the sight, Rin glowers. When he looks over his shoulder in hopes of throwing Bachira under the bus, he sees that the spot beside him is empty.
A few feet away, a caterer yelps when Bachira accidentally bumps into them.
Rin grits his teeth.
(On your way to Hinata’s table, you snort, “And here I thought you liked Bachira’s jealousy plan.”
Isagi rolls his eyes. “Shut up.”
“Aw, don’t be like that, Yoichi,” you coo, which only causes his pout to grow, “I think you look cute when you’re jealous.”
“I hate you.”
You laugh and he tugs you closer to his side. “No,” you say softly, “you love me.”)
Tumblr media
attempt five: itoshi rin.
Whoever thinks that Rin is doing this because he cares is way off base.
If anything, he’s doing this for the sake of his own wellbeing. He was stupid to leave this situation in the hands of his teammates, who have yet to make any progress on doing something about Isagi’s ridiculous pining.
This is how Rin finds himself standing in front of you, awkward and out of place, as you slowly place your duffel bag on the bench. Behind you, your teammates are warming up for the upcoming game, throwing the occasional perplexed glance at Rin’s intimidating figure, before deeming it better to brush him off and ask you about him later.
“Rin, hi,” you say apprehensively. “The game isn’t until five.”
“I know.”
“And it’s three.”
“I know.”
You wrinkle your nose at his tone but choose to ignore it so you can put your kneepads on and tie your shoelaces. In the corner of your eye, Rin continues to just stand; he’s so rigid that you’re convinced that a light shove is all you need for him to tip over and shatter on the floor like glass.
When the comfortable silence begins to grow awkward, Rin clears his throat, “I need to talk to you.”
“You could’ve just called me.”
“You wouldn’t have answered,” he deadpans, briefly glancing towards your phone, silenced, and peeking out the side of your bag, “and it’s important.”
“More important than preparing for a game?”
You gesture around you. Volleyballs soar through the air once they make contact with skin, forearms are tinged red, and shoes squeak against the vulcanized rubber floors. When Rin looks at you, you’re itching to leave, eager to part from him and this conversation in order to get your hands on a ball.
Rin hesitates. “Well… no?”
With a sigh and roll of your eyes, you point to the door. “Okay, well, tell me about it later. I’ll see you—”
“It’s about Isagi.”
You freeze.
“What about him?” you ask. Your previous chagrin has quickly been replaced by worry. A mien that’s a mixture of love and panic is painted across your face as you hastily grab your phone (Rin notices your lockscreen is a candid photo of Isagi playing with a cat on the screen) and open your messages.
“He likes you.”
A quiet moment passes.
Then, you croak, “I’m sorry?”
“He likes you,” Rin repeats uncomfortably. “He has feelings for you.”
You stare. Rin prepares himself for the flurry of feelings he’s sure he will be hit with in a matter of seconds. An assortment of disbelief and hope and infatuation that will come once you’ve been snapped out of your still state, face blank as the cogs in your mind begin to turn.
He prepares himself for your emotions.
Instead, he’s met with a harsh shove on his shoulder and the same annoyance that was on your face a few minutes ago. “That’s the emergency?” you exclaim incredulously. “I— This is unbelievable. This really couldn’t wait until later?”
Rin can barely contain his shock. This is the last reaction he was expecting. He’s seen only a handful of romance films, but he knows that they always involve a timid denial of feelings. When he came here, on his day off, with the intention of finally putting an end to everyone’s misery, he expected you to falter and soften before dialling Isagi’s number and confessing.
He did not prepare for your disbelief — not at his words, but more so at him.
“Did you hear what I said?”
“Yes. Thank you for informing me. Now, can you go?”
Rin cannot believe his ears. “Do you understand what I just said?”
“Yes, I—”
“I’m pretty sure he—”
“I get it,” you interject, opting to start pushing him towards the exit. “And I already thanked you for telling me, it really is appreciated. I’ll see you at the game, yeah? Bye.”
With that, you spin on your heel and stomp over to the court, leaving Rin to stand in the door, dumbfounded.
Well, that is the first and the last time he’ll ever do something nice for you or Isagi Yoichi.
Tumblr media
Isagi isn’t quite sure what he’s done wrong.
When his teammates take their seats one by one, he immediately notices the defeat strewn across their faces. Alarmed, he asks if they’re alright, but all he receives in response is Chigiri’s fatigued sigh and a sharp glare from Rin.
His eyes find yours once you step onto the court, and with a shrug of your shoulders and a reassuring smile, Isagi sweeps his worry under the rug. He knows you’ll end up telling him what you know later anyway, whether it be in the car or under the duvet, his thumbs rubbing circles on your wrist as you’re both lulled into slumber.
But right now, Isagi redirects all his energy into focussing on the game.
He ignores the chatter beside him, rapid bickering that doesn’t evolve into a full-out argument, and watches as you strike a ball to the floor with impressive ferocity. Isagi is the first out of his seat to shout for joy, followed by the rest of the delighted crowd. The smile of his face is so blinding it might as well light up the entire gymnasium.
After every point you score, he’s on his feet. Pride swells in his chest as your team inches closer and closer to victory. His cheeks hurt from how much he’s smiling, especially since it grows every time you make eye contact with him on the stands, beaming. After each set, Isagi makes a mental list of different things he could do to have you look at him that again.
It is only during the last set when Isagi’s smile drops. The intensity on his face is not dissimilar to the one he dons during a game, and his teammates bristle at the sight of it, unfamiliar to seeing it off the field. They can’t blame his sudden seriousness, though, because while your team is at match point, the opponents aren’t too far behind.
The whistle blows. A player serves the volleyball into the air.
Everything happens in slow motion. Isagi wonders if this is what it feels like to watch his games from the sidelines, with every breath feeling like it may thwart a play and every movement causing anxiety to crawl up his throat like bile.
When your hand touches the ball, spiking it for what Isagi swears is the nth time of the day, time no longer stands still. The crowd roars as you’re crushed into a hug by your teammates, all wearing matching grins of triumph.
The next few moments are the consequence of a split second decision.
Isagi didn’t know he was going to do this when he woke up this morning, the spot beside him cold and a text on his phone reminding him to eat breakfast. He spends the entire day doing the laundry, cleaning the bathroom, and moping in your absence, too busy to even consider going through with an act that could be a PR disaster.
But then you look at him, and you’re shining, and Isagi decides to give in.
He’s out of his chair within seconds, waving off the questioning remarks coming from his friends as he speeds to the court.
(He’s more than grateful that security knows who he is by now, because if he were any other guy, he would’ve been detained the moment his feet touched the floor).
You seem to understand all his intentions by the time he’s within earshot. That’s the one thing about you that Isagi could only imagine wrapping his head around. All it takes is one glance, one second, for you to know what he desires. It almost makes his heart burst, at the realization that somebody loves him so much that they know every inch of him.
“I’m sweaty,” you say once you’ve escaped your teammates’ grasp.
Isagi raises an eyebrow, because when has that ever stopped him? “I don’t care.”
Your face is in his hands within seconds, cradled in delicate fingers that contrast the way his lips move with enough passion to light the world on fire. Curling your fingers around his belt loops, you pull him closer before resting your hands on the sides of his neck with your thumb tracing his jawline.
Being with Isagi under the spotlight like this is exhilarating.
The happiness, however, is short lived.
“What the hell!” Bachira shrieks, and Isagi pulls away — not too far, though — and rests his head against your forehead, sighing. “Does this mean my plan worked?”
Rin growls. “There is no way in hell you’re taking credit for this.”
“Actually,” Reo chimes in, “I’m pretty sure Chigiri, Nagi, and I are the reason for all of this.”
Zantetsu scoffs, immediately pushing past Reo to get closer to you and Isagi. “No, this means you guys got the flowers—”
Isagi lifts his head up, exasperated. “We’ve been dating for five months.”
He had been hoping that statement alone would be enough to get them to shut up.
He is dreadfully wrong.
“What?” Chigiri exclaims. “So, everything we did was for nothing?”
“Wait,” Kunigami interjects, eyebrows furrowed. “So that means you guys have been giggly and insufferable all these months because you’ve been dating?”
You muse. “Yeah, I guess so.”
“And that’s not going to change?”
Isagi throws his arm over your shoulder. “Oh, definitely not.”
Silence.
Then, Bachira tugs Rin’s sleeve and gestures for everybody to get into a huddle.
“Guys,” he says in what you assume is his attempt at a whisper, but you’re close enough to hear, even with the surprised clamor from the audience. “We need to break them up.”
Isagi squawks in protest, letting go of you to force himself into the huddle.
You watch the scene with a fond smile. One of your teammates comes up beside you and murmurs in wonder, “Your boyfriend and his friends sure are something.”
“What, idiots? You can say idiots.”
Your teammate snorts. “Yeah. It’s a little endearing, though.”
You laugh, nodding in agreement, and when Isagi calls you over to help, you take his hand and let him drag you into the circle, shooting down all the suggestions they’ve jokingly made about you dumping him.
You’ve come to the realization that you fit. Right here, next to Isagi, there will always be a place for you. Perhaps, then, that makes you an idiot by association.
(You don’t think you’d have it any other way).

_____________
“Then he told me that Lia had gone to the 3Racha concert like that! How is that possible?!.. Yn? Yn?.. YNNNNNN!!!” Yn was startled by her friend Milly’s scream. “Ynnnnnieeee! I can’t believe you weren’t listening to me!!” said the economics student, pouting irritably and unattractively. “Sorry Milly… It’s just that this week has been going really badly! I just want to isolate myself from everything!” Yn confided. “Goodness, woman! What happened for you to say that?” asked the gossip. Yn sighed, “I have a project due by Friday but I’m having a creative block… I don’t know what to do…” “Wow, just because of that?! Look, this week my beautician canceled my manicure because her daughter is sick and I don’t say my week is terrible!” Yn looked at the spoiled girl with her mouth open, seeing how the gossip compared completely different things. “Oh, and not only that! Yesterday I was rejected by Seungmin! How did he have the courage to reject the hottest girl in this crappy university?! What a loser! At least he’s the one missing out!” “Milly… I’m not trying to belittle your problems, but you can’t compare an important project to a bad boy who rejected you…” Yn said, looking at Milly, who was now wide-eyed and offended.
“EXCUSE ME?!! HOW CAN I NOT COMPARE?! I WANTED TO ISOLATE MYSELF FROM EVERYTHING!! YOU’RE SO IGNORANT, YN! I SHOULD THINK BETTER ABOUT MY FRIENDSHIPS!!!” Yn tried to apologize, but the annoying girl continued with her nonsense argument. “OH, AND STAY THERE WITH YOUR CRAPPY PROJECT! MAYBE YOU’LL SPEND HOURS ON IT AND IT WILL NEVER BE GOOD ENOUGH! YOU’RE NOT GOOD ENOUGH!” Milly shouted in the university cafeteria, making everyone look at the table where the two friends were. Yn lowered her head in embarrassment, already with tears streaming down her beautiful face as she looked at Milly, who was no longer at the table. Yn started to cry, thinking about how she was a terrible friend, until…
“Excuse me… can I sit here with you?” A soft and sweet voice was heard. Yn looked up and saw a boy with brown hair and round cheeks, looking like a squirrel! He was carrying his tray with the cafeteria lunch. Yn nodded, wiping her beautiful tears, embarrassed to be crying in front of someone she didn’t even know. The boy smiled at her and sat down in front of her, “Sorry, but I couldn’t help overhearing your conversation with that girl… I think she’s a bit exaggerated and dramatic… you should stop being friends with her… She does you a lot of harm…” he said as he started eating his meal. “Um… she… goes through - through difficult times… I think,” Yn whispered. “Since when is being rejected by a guy a difficult problem?Oh, it must be hard for her not to have a dick to suck during class hours…. now I understand her… Wait not in that sense! Kind… I don't like dicks! But you know -" Yn interrupted the mysterious boy with a laugh, "S-yes I understand! "She said to the laughter, making the boy smile at her. "Oh, how rude I was!! I didn't even introduce myself to this beautiful lady! "He told himself, then adjusted his posture and gave a forced cough.
"I'm Han Jisung, I'm a music student and I'm a guitarist in the group 3Racha! Nice to meet you!" he says with a smile on his face. Yn soon feels obliged to introduce himself as well, "Well… I am-" "Yes you are Yn, the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my entire life. The most dedicated and skilled art student! With unique paintings, with captivating feelings! That makes anyone fall in love!" Han interrupts Yn, leaving her a little confused, how did he know that about her when she had never seen him in her life? Well they could have crossed paths here and there, but she doesn't remember ever talking to him…" Oh… Do you know me because of the spring exhibition that took place here at the university?" asks Yn, who was a fan of his fine art. Han was thoughtful, "What spring exhibition?" hmmm okay, maybe he didn't know her from the exhibition… "The exhibition". Les couleurs du printemps... The one that there was a little party that lasted 1 week and on the last night there was a group of guys who got drunk and were suspended driving for 2 months…" The boy stared with a confused face but suddenly he hit his own forehead" Ahhhhh!! This exhibition!! Oh yes I got drunk with my brothers!! We spent 2 months living in nightclubs and alcohol… It was really 2 very good months… Miss! "Yn stared at him in disbelief… How did he say that so naturally?! What a shame!
Suddenly the bell rings… Okay time to study! Everyone to the room! "Oh… What a pity! It's already playing!! I wanted to be with you more! "He said sulkingly" Do you give me your cell phone? " Yn looked at him confused, “For what?” “I want to give you my number… You know… So we can go out someday… So you can see me play on stage!” Yn was undecided… Should she accept or refuse… Well, she was already in a mess anyway, so why not?! Yn handed her phone to Han, who quickly typed in his number. “Thanks, Yn… See you later!” Yn waved and looked at her screen, seeing that he had saved his number as Hanniee💕 What a crazy guy…
_____________
The bell rang, miraculously at that moment. The hallways filled with students desperate to get back home, just wanting a good and nice rest. Yn walked quickly to her locker, intending to grab her umbrella, but there was no sign of it… “How could it have disappeared just like that?! It was here this morning!”, she thought, only to be interrupted by someone closing her locker, how audacious!
"Oh, hello again Yn. I didn't think I'd come here to you." "Well.. It turns out that you just closed my own closet." "Oh.. I'm sorry!!" "No problem…" The speech is over. While Yn closed her locker with her key, Han watches the girl, seeing how beautiful she is and how she liked to her right now in her beautiful bed. Oh he is really a naughty!! "Well… See you tomorrow Han!" Yn says goodbye to the guitarist with a smile. "Ah… Yn!! It's raining! And you don't have an umbrella…. If you want, I can accompany you!" Jisung says quickly hoping not to receive a no from his future girl, also if he received a no, he would probably follow her anyway but anyway…
"Ah… You're right… But I don't want to bother Han!" "Ey! You never bother me Yn! I'll take you home. That way I'm also sure you're well delivered." He says with a smile on his sweet lips, spiteful… Yn thought for a moment, she didn't want to bother, but she also didn't want to go home in the rain in the late afternoon with a boy she had just met… Either she had to go home in the rain, probably getting sick and couldn't turn in her work or she was going home with a stranger who is from her school and seems like an obsessed fan… "Okay… I-I really appreciate your kindness Han." She says to the boy, thus making him smile mischievously.
_____________
The way home was silent on Yn’s part, but very noisy on Han’s. Always talking about his band, talking about how Lee Minho was annoying just because he didn’t give him 5 bottles of beer on his 15th birthday, talking about how many girls he had hooked up with, obviously very noisy…
“Well, we’re here, Yn!” he finally said, already in front of the girl’s house, startling her as she was lost in her own thoughts… Obviously thinking about her project...
“AH, thank you, Han… I owe you one,” she said jokingly. “Oh yes! You do! And I already know how you can properly thank me!”
“How?” asked the curious innocent. “Thursday, 8 PM at XXXXXXXX park.”
“Are you asking me out on a date, Mr. Jisung Han?”
“Yes, I am.”
"Hmm"
“Okay then! It’s a date! Don’t forget, Miss Yn!”
“Don’t worry!”
“Bye bye, my love!”
“By-Bye Bye H-Han…” she stammered.
_____________
Today, Thursday… Yn was in trouble, she hadn’t even started the project she had to deliver tomorrow… And the worst part, she could only work on it before going on the date with Han, which means she only had 1 hour. The poor girl was going crazy! Han had woken up 1 hour earlier than usual, all to redo his crappy plan. How idiotic he is.
_____________
“So, guys, don’t forget to check if your work meets these requirements to get the highest grade! The more, the better! Well, see you tomorrow, students!” Yn was getting more and more terrified with each passing minute. The bell had just rung, and she had to run home to do her work. “Yn!” “I’ll text you later, Han!” She said, running with all her might.
_____________
Yn arrived home and ran to her room, throwing her shoes into a random corner along with her cute coat. Sitting hurriedly in her desk chair, she started making random sketches, sure that something would come out of it, even if it was just a beautiful eggplant! “Okay… Here… Like this… No… Hmm… Yes… Ah… It doesn’t look good… Okayyyyy AHHHHHHHHH” Yn whispered to herself but then screamed, startled by a random noise inside the house. “Ah… It must be nothing… I think… Well, I have to continue…” Yn started painting with oil pastels, her favorite way to paint, humming some random song. Painting here and there, leaving incredibly beautiful and wonderful textures, she was giving her all to that project! “Wow, it’s almost time for our date and she’s still studying! How responsible she is!” said someone, startling the little painter. Yn turned to the door, from where the voice came, and was shocked at how he managed to get in. “Hey! How did you get in here?!”
"Behold, a little hottie left the door open… And he forgot about his meeting!" Han, the owner of the voice speaks. "What?! How could I leave the door open my god?! What if a bandit had entered!! Ahhhh all because of this stupid job!" Yn says, obviously worried and grateful that no one unknown and dangerous will enter her residence. "Eyy, so little… What's going on?" Han asks getting closer to the girl. "I have to deliver this work tomorrow, but I don't know if it will be good! He's just random doodles! I don't know what Han do!" Yn says with a few tears forming in her beautiful eyes.
“Hey, calm down baby… Look, I’m not very experienced in art, but I know exactly what this project means!” “Hm?” “It means your feelings, love… It perfectly conveys your feelings… And… I’m sure anyone can feel them too.” The boy said, bringing their faces closer, just a few centimeters apart. “I wish I had more talent in painting… Just… Just to be able to eternalize your colors the way I see them…” “Thank you, Han… Really!” Yn hugged the boy, no one had ever said such sincere words to her. “Okay okay, so let’s finish this project so you can finally get ready and we can go on our date?!” “Let’s goooo”
_____________
Yn was already ready, looking in the mirror whenever she could to see if she looked beautiful enough. Wearing a beautiful beige dress that highlighted her lovely curves, just above the knee, with a white blouse underneath, and some lovely Mary Janes. She really looked magnificent with that beautiful hair! Ahhh and the accessories! Of course, she couldn’t forget! A heart-shaped necklace with a photo of her puppy, Smaply, who unfortunately passed away last year, a great loss for the girl. Small, thin hoop earrings detailed with some sparkles, and of course, she couldn’t forget her cute bracelets. How beautiful she looked! Applying a bit more gloss, Yn finally had the courage to leave her room, walking slowly to the living room, where the darling Han was. He was left speechless upon seeing his beloved, I swear he was even drooling!
“Wow… you look - you look magnificent!” “Thank you - Thank you Ha-Han! You-you also look very han-handsome!” she said blushing, very shy shy shy! “So… Where are we going?” “Oh yes… Hmm… First, we’re going to eat something and then… Then I’ll take you to a very important place for me… We better get going… Otherwise, we’ll be late.”
_____________
“A convenience store??” Yn said, confused. “Oh, we’re going to eat something here first… What do you want?” “Hmm, it could be…” “Chicken ramen with a touch of mild pepper, an onigiri, a mango iced tea with some ice cubes, and for dessert, some macarons?” Han interrupted the girl. “How do you know that?..” “I have many tricks up my sleeve, baby girl…” “Oh.” “Well, let’s eat?! I’m starving!” “Yes!” After all, Yn was passionate about food… Who isn’t, right?!
_____________
As soon as they left the convenience store, Han took Yn to the previously mentioned place. It was simply the best club in Seoul, with extremely attractive security guards, with super strong and tense muscles, a pole dance show that was out of this world, with incredible dance tactics and moves, a bar with every type of drink imaginable, from spicy drinks to ones that tasted like crap! Truly a VIP club! Yn was obviously shocked to see that Han had taken her there, she had never even set foot in a club before, let alone this one! But she was even more shocked when a bunch of security guards protected Han and herself, she was so confused, poor thing… Soon they entered and went straight to a dressing room.
"Hey, what was that whole thing out there?" Yn question enthusiastically "It's just a normal day for me," Han said looking at himself in the mirror. "In a while you'll see, bunny" "Look who he is!" A voice unknown to Yn is heard. "So Chan… Ready for another night?!" "Always… Han, who is this?" "Ah.. Well Yn this is Bang Chan, Bang Chan this is Yn! That's it, they're already friends!" "It's a pleasure to meet you!" Yn says. "Pleasure is only later, satisfaction is with me!" Says Chan laughing… What a pervert "Hey, drop my girl ,play boy !" Han speaks first. "Ihhh look at the jealousy! Look at the jealousy!" another unknown voice is heard. "Oh no! Even you Changbin?!"
"Oh hello Yn, I'm Changbin. The cutest and hottest boy you'll ever meet! Do you want to touch my biceps?" "AH… Oh.. Hello Chang-Changbin.. Thank you but" "No, she doesn't want to! She already has mine and that's enough! Right, love?" Han asks Yn. "Y-yes!" "IN 2 MINUTES YOU WILL BE ON STAGE!" Another voice screams. "Well, we have to go! See you soon Yniee! See you soon!" Changbin speaks. "Bye Bye" Bang chan also says goodbye to the girl. "Well baby, you go straight to a security guard with orange hair and say you're with me, he'll take care of you! See you soon baby!" Han says goodbye by gluing his lips to hers. Meanwhile, Yn thought how this was moving too fast, how was it possible? Well but one thing she knew, it was working….
__________
Yn walked up to the security guard and said he was with Han, he asked her to follow him and took him in front of everyone, even facing the stage. So she had the perfect vision of the group, which at the time was singing "WOW" During the small show, Han whenever he could, winked at Yn, who blushed and looked away. At the end of the show, 3Racha said goodbye to the audience and went to the dressing room. The security guard took the girl to the dressing room for her to be handed over to her respective owner. "Wow you were amazing!! Your tune! Your talent! Han on guitar rocking with incredible melodies! Changbin on drums making perfect bangs! Chan with his wonderful voice! Ahhh it was all amazing!" "Thank you Yn, we really like to know that we are doing our job perfectly." Chan thanks smiling. "Well, I'm going, tomorrow I have to produce another new song! Are you coming Changbin too?" Bang Chan continues.
"Oh yes, I enjoy the ride! Thank you Yn, you don't even know what it means to say that to us!" Changbin also thanks you, cutie. "See you tomorrow my precious boys!" Han says, obviously ironic. "See you tomorrow Han! Bye Bye Yn!" Answer the two boys who were already leaving. "Bye" "Finally alone…" Han says "Oh baby girl… I'm in the mood for something… " "What… " "I'm hungry," Han says as he approaches Yn, who was moving backwards, but stopping after crashing into the whore on the wall. What about… Us… Finally… You know…. "Han starts kissing Yn's neck, sucking and licking." N-no! Han-Han I don't want to! "A terrified Yn tries to free herself from Han's grip, but to no avail." Come on baby girl. I need you." Han now begins to go down the girl's chest, leaving soft but hungry kisses."
" No! Han! STOP! STOP! "Yn screams, with tears in her eyes, just as she manages to push the guitarist away from her." NEVER! NEVER TOUCH ME AGAIN WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! "Yn screams desperately. Han just looked at her with an innocent face, how stupid he is!" Baby, how come you don't understand. You are my dear. If I can't touch you, no one will touch you. " "What?! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! YOUR… YOU CRAZY"
"Yes, I'm crazy, for you love. Since I saw you at the municipal library I have never forgotten you, from that moment I knew you were perfect for me, and I was perfect for you! I started studying you! I found out where you lived, I found out your social networks, I found out everything about your little friends. I know everything about you love…. I love you.. And I want to be with you… Or I mean, I'll stay with you! "With every word that came out of Han's mouth, he got closer and closer, making the little girl scared. "Do you know how many times I stood in your beautiful backyard looking at your bedroom window thinking about seeing you?! Do you know how many times I stayed up all night just to write lots and lots of songs dedicated to you?!" Han grew more and more irritated. "You belong to me! And nothing and no one will change that!" Soon after, Han grabs Yn with all his strength and injects her with a syringe with a liquid inside, making the girl faint in his beautiful arms.
"Finally mine!"

There were a lot of people surrounding Rooster’s bed, they all introduced themselves but the only thing he could really think about was how scared he was for them to pull this tube out of his throat. The doctor told him that there’s always a chance he might not respond well and they’ll have to place another one. And good god, that was the last thing he wanted. The sedation medications, being unable to talk, having to have his throat suctioned constantly, and listening to the never ending sounds of the machines were his own personal hell. And the prep before this was its own level of horrible. They put a vest on him that shook him violently to loosen any crap that had built up low in his lungs while he was intubated. Then they deep suctioned the shit outta his throat, it was so uncomfortable but Y/N promised it was all to help him and keep him from getting sick again and having to be intubated again.
He looked over at Y/N and prayed that she could say something to make him feel better. All of his friends and Mav were still on the aircraft carrier in God knows where, so Y/N was the only familiar face. He guesses he could’ve called Penny, Mav’s girlfriend, but it’s a Saturday morning, she should be spending time with Amelia and getting ready for another crazy night at the Hard Deck.
“So what’s gonna happen is: I’m gonna sit your bed up really high and place a pad under your chin since a lot of gunk might come up with the tube. That’s completely normal.” Y/N explained calmly, “Brent, the guy on your left, is the respiratory therapist. He’s gonna ask you to cough a few times and on the last cough, he’s gonna pull the tube out.”
Bradley nodded, looking her straight in her beautiful, expressive eyes.
“Your throat’s gonna hurt and feel really dry, you probably won’t be able to talk for a little bit.” She continued, “But I’m gonna stay here and monitor you, listen to your lungs, suction out any more gunk, and maybe we can try swabbing your mouth with water to help with the dryness until you’re cleared to drink. Does that sound okay?”
The young doctor at the bedside scoffed, “Do we really need to have this much dialog? We have other patients to get to, Nurse.”
Y/N’s face hardened, “I am well aware that you all are busy. However, I’m not going to allow anything to happen to Lt. Bradshaw without his full informed consent, so I’m making sure he knows exactly what we’re doing. It’s his right.”
The older doctor smiled at Y/N, “This is why nurses are so important, they fill in the blanks for the patients. As physicians, we can get caught up in the science and the technicality of things but nurses are the people who remind us to remember that we’re taking care of the whole person.”
The young doctor rolled his eyes.
Y/N smiled at the older doctor and shot the young doc a look that said, Bite me, bitch. She then looked at Rooster and asked, “You ready?”
Rooster nodded slowly, he was so scared.
“It’s okay that you’re scared.” She placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, “But you see Brent, the one literally doing the damn thing to you? He’s not scared and I’m not scared ”
Brent smiled, “Not one bit. And all of those docs in their fancy white coats, they OK’d me to do this. That means they’re not scared either.”
Rooster felt a rush of calm wash over him, Y/N trusted these people, so he had no reason not to as well.
“Ready man?” Brent asked.
Bradley nodded.
Y/N sat the bed up so that he was sitting tall and placed an absorbent pad under his chin, “Let’s do it!”
“Give me a few coughs, Lieutenant.” Brent instructed.
Rooster coughed uncomfortably, it felt so weird with this thing on his throat.
“One last big cough.” Brent said.
With his next cough the tube was out and Rooster couldn’t help but continue to cough and dry heave. All the doctors’ eyes were glued to the numbers on his monitor, the only one looking at him was Y/N.
She wiped all the spit and nastiness off of his face carefully and talked to him quietly, “That’s it, let it out. You’re doin’ great.”
A few moments later the older doctor said, “His oxygen sats look great. Let us know if anything changes, Y/N.”
Y/N nodded, “Will do. Can I get a standing supplemental oxygen order? Just in case his sats start to decline.”
“Of course, Carl– I mean… Dr. Parks will put those in for you right away.” The old doc looked over at the very displeased younger doctor.
Once the doctors all assessed him and felt okay leaving the room, it was just Rooster and Y/N. He gestured towards his white board, there was no way in hell he could talk yet.
Y/N happily passed it to him and proceeded to start her own assessment, listening to his lungs with her stethoscope.
That young doc is an asshole. Rooster wrote.
Y/N snorted, taking her stethoscope out of her ears and setting it to rest around her neck, “For the sake of professionalism, no comment.”
Can you call Maverick and tell him I’m okay?
“Yeah, of course.” She pulled a pen and a slip of paper out of her scrub pocket, “Just write down his full name and number.”

“Hi Captain Mitchell, this is Y/N and I’m Lieutenant Bradshaw’s nurse today.” You tried your best to sound as not nervous as possible. You always hated sitting at the nurses station and calling family members on the phone, usually because it was to give bad news or tell them to come to the hospital quickly to say goodbye. At least this time it was something positive.
“Oh my god,” The man choked on the other end of the line, “Is– Is he okay?”
“Yes, he’s fine. I’m sorry for scaring you.” You fiddled with the long phone cord, “He’s actually doing great. We took him off the ventilator about an hour ago and he’s breathing really well on his own. He’s working with physical therapy now, they have him out of bed and sitting in a chair.”
You could hear the joy in the man’s voice, “That’s incredible! Oh my god! I can’t wait to tell everyone, we’ve all been so worried. Can I speak to him?”
“Not quite yet, he’s not able to talk yet and will be hoarse for a little while.” You explained, twisting from side to side in the swiveling chair,  “But I can see if we can charge up his phone so he can text you and call when he’s able to.”
“Thank you so much for the update, Y/N.” Capt. Mitchell gushed, “I usually have to call first for updates but this was such a great surprise.”
“Well one of the first things Bradley asked me to do for him after his extubation was call you and let you know that he’s okay.”
He let out a happy sigh on the other end of the phone, “Did he really? That’s so good to hear. Tell him I’ll be home soon and my first stop will be to see him.”
You nodded, “Will do, Capt. Mitchell. You have a great rest of your day.”
“You as well, I know you’re taking great care of him.” And the call cut off right there.
“Ooooh look at you, big shot.” You couldn’t help but smile seeing Bradley sitting up in a chair and channel surfing on the crappy hospital TV.
Bradley picked up his white board and marker from the table beside him, Did you talk to Mav?
“You mean Capt. Mitchell?” You confirmed and Bradley nodded, “He said he’ll be home soon and his first stop will be to come see you. But hopefully you’ll have busted out of this joint before then.”
Bradley raised his eyebrows and scribbled, You think so?
You shrugged logging into the computer by his bed and starting to organize his 3pm medications, “I mean, I can’t say for sure. I know that you military dudes can’t tell people exactly where you’re going or when you’re coming home on your deployments. But if things keep going as well as they are, it seems like a good possibility you could be transferred to a step-down unit and then hopefully discharged in the next week or so.”
Bradley started writing again, I don’t want to go to another unit. I want to keep you as my nurse.
You giggled, “Well that is incredibly kind of you to say, but the best part of my job is seeing patients get well enough to be transferred to a lower acuity unit and then eventually discharged.”
Bradley pouted and drew a big fat frowny face on the whiteboard.
“You were a lot less sassy with that tube down your throat, Bradshaw.” You teased as you crossed the room with his meds, hanging them on the IV pole and programming the pump.
Pumping me up with poison? He smirked as he wrote.
“Nah, just antibiotics to treat that pesky infection that almost killed you and brought you in here.”
Damn, I was hoping you were gonna say they’re steroids to get me yolked. He flashed a mischievous grin at you.
You scoffed, “I took a pledge when I finished nursing school not to harm my patients and I considered giving them drugs that would shrink their balls and give them breasts doing harm.”
Bradley snorted and let out a hoarse laugh. Though it was very quiet, you could tell it was a great laugh.
“Hey Y/N, I’m taking room 4 back from you.” Carly, the young nurse from the morning, sat in the empty chair next to you at the nurses station.
“Oh great, do you want a full report or are you good with just the updates?” You asked, pulling out your notes from the day.
She clicked her pen, “Updates are just fine.”
“So the biggest news is that he was extubated today.” You grinned.
“Really?!” She gasped, “I’ve been pushing for that but the resident kept saying no.”
“Parks?” You inquired.
She nodded and sighed, “Yeah, have you met him?”
“Unfortunately.” You rolled your eyes, “I think he shares similar feelings about me as I do him.”
“I hope you gave him hell.” She giggled, “I’m still a new grad, so I don’t have enough experience under my belt to push back very much.”
“Well if he gives you any grief on your shift, don’t let it get to you. He’s also a new grad doctor, he’s also still learning.” You assured her then went on to finish your report.
“Hey Bradley, I’m headed out for the night. Carly’s gonna be taking care of you and I’ll be back tomorrow.” You entered the room with Carly by your side.
“Thank you…” Bradley croaked, “For everything…”
Your heart melted a little bit, you knew it took a lot of effort to get the words out, “You are more than welcome. And I’ll see you tomorrow. Hopefully we’ll get you transferred to a less intense unit.”
Rooster pouted and did a big thumbs down gesture.
You giggled, “That’s a great thing, Bradshaw. You don’t wanna be stuck in the ICU with me forever.”
He sassily rolled his eyes.
“Carly and I are gonna sign off some meds and check your lines.” You said, “And don’t give my girl too much sass tonight; she will be reporting back to me in the morning.”
Rooster scribbled on his whiteboard, No promises.

Ellie was over this.
Sooo over this, she told herself as she found herself trailing behind Dina in a Bloomingdales, stopping at the Tom Ford counter to smell your perfume. Hands tucked in pockets as she glanced up at the sales associate that eyed her, a polite but forced smile on her face. In her blue and white flannel, Ellie was sure she wasn’t the target demographic.
“Are you looking for anything specific?” Her voice was sing-songy and Ellie was internally cringing at how she knew this was going to go.
“I’m uh-- looking for a scent,” Ellie awkwardly spat out. Obviously, she was looking for a perfume… at the goddamn perfume counter.  “It’s um… sweet… or fruity.”
“Does it smell like a specific fruit by any chance?” The lady asked, it looked like she was in pain behind her smile. Ellie was sure she was just projecting.  Her own nose scrunched up, indicating she didn’t know the answer to the question.
“I don’t know… it’s um…” Ellie looked around as if she was searching for the answer, “Maybe it’s lemon? I don’t know… it’s for my girlfriend. It’s in a white bottle with a gold label.” Ellie knew you weren’t her girlfriend, she wasn’t even sure if you were friends anymore but it couldn’t hurt to pretend.
“Oh, Soleil Blanc!” She practically yelled, picking up the bottle in front of her and spraying a bit of it onto a testing strip. She handed the flimsy paper to Ellie and Ellie had to mentally prepare herself before smelling it. Ellie brought it up to her nose and took a deep breath in, eyes fluttering closed as she did. If she closed them for long enough she could imagine you here, and instead of the annoying sales lady, there would be you. You would probably be smelling every perfume imaginable and holding tightly onto Ellie’s arm, but when Ellie opened her eyes you weren’t there. There was just the annoying sales lady and her.
“Is that what you were looking for?” She asked, fake smile still on her face.
“Um… yeah…” Ellie smiled as politely as she could, but she could feel herself shaking. It was almost as if she was on the verge of a panic attack but never really crossed the threshold. She never really flipped out or cried, she just shook for a bit and moved on. “I’ll take it. How much is it?”
“It’s only 295 dollars.” The sales lady said with a straight face as Ellie practically choked on her spit. How the fuck did you afford this? And why was this bitch saying ‘only’ as if that wasn’t an absurd amount of mone-
“Yeah, I’ll take it,” Ellie pursed her lips as she handed over her card. If she was being completely honest she had almost too much money and nothing to spend it on. And if she was being brutally honest with herself, the 295 was worth it right now. She didn’t want to admit it, but she needed you right now, and Tom Ford had your scent bottled up.
“Your girlfriend is a lucky lady,” She laughed as she rang Ellie up, putting it in a gift bag without asking Ellie if she wanted it wrapped in the first place.
“I’m the lucky one,” Ellie said instinctively. She was already playing the role, so she might as well commit to the bit. Ellie had honestly never been a girlfriend, so she didn’t know if she was doing it right, but she assumed this was how it went.
Apart from her domestic fantasies about you, she hadn’t really thought about being in a relationship. The idea made her sick to her stomach, but now she didn’t know if it was because she couldn’t imagine being with anyone but you or if her fear of commitment was out to get her.
She wasn’t a complete idiot when it came to relationships though. She had dated this one girl her sophomore year in high school which abruptly ended when the girl's father found out about them. Ellie was sad about it for maybe a week but moved on when she found something else to fill her ever-running mind.
Ellie wanted to be your first girlfriend, that much she knew, but that dream had taken a quick and bitter ending. Her face soured at the idea that she would never get that opportunity. She could never call you her high school sweetheart or any straight and corny crap she could think of. The sickly sweet dream was now something rotten. She was buying your perfume for fucksake.
“Aw, that’s so sweet,” She smiled again, tucking the receipt into the bag and handing it over to Ellie, “Have a good day!”
Ellie found Dina looking through clothing racks somewhere in the back, approaching her and leaning up against the wall, knowing they would be there for some time. Dina had to do a double take when she saw the little brown bag in Ellie’s hand.
“What did you buy?” She breathed out a laugh before turning back to the racks and holding up what looked like a leather jacket.
“Nothing,” Ellie sighed, rolling her eyes. She flexed her feet, looking down at them, anything to avoid eye contact right now.
“Why are you being weird?” Dina asked, deciding to put the jacket back and continue looking through the mixed clothes, “Like what did you buy at Bloomingdales that you don’t want me to know about?”
“It’s just..” Another puff of air from Ellie’s lips, “It’s a perfume. I just spent a ridiculous amount of money on it and I don’t want you to make fun of me for it.” It was a half-lie.
“What perfume?” Dina looked at her temporarily, causing Ellie to shift uncomfortably, but she quickly turned to another rack of clothes.
“It’s this one from Tom Ford…” Dina stopped in her tracks as Ellie spoke, “Called Soleil Blanc or whatever.”
Dina was frozen for a moment before she turned to Ellie, her hand on her hip and face serious.
“You bought her perfume?” Dina’s voice was sharp. She didn’t really know what was happening between the two of you but she knew that you hadn’t talked in a while and Ellie was barely leaving her apartment. It didn’t take a genius to complete the dots, but if it did Dina would still qualify.
“I-I,” Ellie stuttered out, green eyes wide as she looked around, “No, it’s not for her. I-It’s for me. I like the scent. It’s nice.”
“You’re so full of shit, Ellie.”
“I’m not.”
“You fucking are,” Dina rolled her eyes as she started heading towards the door, Ellie hot on her trail, “You’re probably going to spray your pillow and hump it while you pretend it’s her.” Not a bad idea, Ellie thought.
“I’m not!” Ellie followed her as her footsteps picked up, “It’s just a nice scent, and I like it. It’s not weird… I’m not a creep or anything, okay? The scent soothes me.”
“Yeah, cause she’s your fucking pacifier!” Dina whisper yelled as they approached the car, “She’s been your pacifier since junior year.”
“My pacifier? The fuck does that mean?” Ellie swung her door open, got in the passenger seat and buckled herself in.
“It means you practically rely on her to remain calm,” Dina explained, hopping in the car and breathing out a laugh as she shook her head, “I used to think it was just a weird friendship thing but I’m starting to believe you’re actually in love with her.”
The air in the car changed for a moment as Ellie stared blankly at Dina. She didn’t know what to say. Any claim that she wasn’t in love with you would come out in a stuttered mess and admitting to someone else that she was in love with you was something she didn’t feel like doing today.
“Oh my fucking god,” Dina sighed, rubbing her face with the palms of her hands, “You’re fucking in love with her.”
“Yeah,” was all Ellie said as she leaned back in her seat and let Dina drive her home.
--
She didn’t want to think about it anymore. That night when she got home and got out of the shower, skin still damp and hair still wet, she soaked herself in the perfume, put on ‘The Office’, and ate a frozen pizza. This was pathetic, all of it. The pining, the wallowing, the perfume. She fell asleep after pitying herself for a while, the day finally getting to her.
She was woken up by loud knocks on her door, jolting her awake. She was honestly pissed as she stumbled over to the door wiping the sleep from her eyes. She opened the door without thinking, the possibility of someone bursting through the door only to murder her sounding more than tempting right now, but when she opened the door she was met with your face.
Your bare face, tired eyes, and tied-back hair. No smile on your face, but your eyes had the creases in them that they had when you did. You were in your pajamas, like you had decided on a whim to come over here. Wait, why were you here?
“Uh,” Ellie said awkwardly, shifting to lean against her door frame as she looked at you.
“Can I come in?” you asked.
“Why?”
“Ellie, let me in,” and she had already moved to the side, allowing you to slip past her as she closed and locked her door. Someone could murder her, but if you were here the door was staying closed.
“Why are you here?” Ellie sighed, rubbing her face with one hand, voice raspy and deep from sleep.
“I…” You took a deep breath and steadied yourself, “Are.. are you wearing my perfume?” Ellie’s eyes widened as she shifted uncomfortably.
“What? No,” Ellie quickly defended, “Just tell me why you’re here before I kick you out.”
“I just was thinking about what you said to me at the gala,” you began, “I can’t get it out of my head, I can’t get you out of my head.” Ellie’s heart was already racing at this. Pathetic.
“So?”
“So?” you repeated back to her, “Stop being a bitch, Ellie. You got to confess now it’s my turn. Don’t ruin it.” That shut Ellie up real fast.
“I just didn’t know why it wasn’t the same with… her,” you looked down at her feet, fluffy socks covering them. Cute, “I just didn’t understand it, but I think it’s love… or love adjacent,” you sighed, “Fuck, I don’t know.”
“What about your girlfriend?” Ellie reminded you.
“She’s not my girlfriend anymore, it’s not completely over but we aren’t dating.”
“Not completely over? What the fuck does that mean?” Ellie knew she sounded like a bitch but she couldn’t help herself, all of it was too confusing.
“I don’t know, Ellie! I don’t know what any of this means, I didn’t know what it was like to be with someone else until you kissed me. This was your bright idea and it,” you took a long deep breath, rolling your eyes, “and it was a fucking dumb one. I already liked you at that point and it confused me, okay? I mean, what the fuck was that? You were going to fuck me to ‘teach me’, I mean?”
“Pe-”
“And stop with that shit! My fucking pet name? Seriously? This isn’t normal, this wasn’t normal and now you’re acting like I did something wrong by dating someone, who you helped me date? I didn’t know what was even happening until you were telling me you liked me days after she asked me to be her girlfriend!”
“Did you come here to yell at me?” Ellie said calmly. It was only making you more angry.
“I came here to tell you I liked you and you’re being an asshole so I get to yell at you!” You huffed, your nostrils flared and your hand had found its way to your hip. Ellie hated how much she was attracted to you at this exact moment.
“I’m not being an asshole, I just don’t know what you want me to do,” She pinched the bridge of her nose, looking you up and down, “You’re still seeing her, and I’m done sharing you.”
“I won’t see her anymore.”
“Are you serious?” She laughed.
“Dead fucking serious,” you scrambled to pull out your phone, “I’ll block her number right now.”
“You don’t have t-”
“I will.”
“Why?”
“Cause I want you,” you sounded exhausted like you had said this a thousand times before, “And no matter how hard I try no one will ever be you and I’m tired of acting like this isn’t what I want. Like you aren’t who I want.”
Ellie licked her lip, pulling her bottom lip in between her teeth as she rubbed at her chin. She was acting like she was thinking, but she had already made up her mind. She wanted you.
Ellie didn’t have it in her to be upset with you anymore as she saw the genuine desperation in your eyes. She wanted to kiss the worried look off your face, nip at your skin as she told you it was okay, that you were forgiven. She wanted to do that but instead, she walked over to you, closing the distance between the two of you.
"You better not be fucking with me," she warned, her voice coming out in a whisper, as her eyes flicked down to your lips.
You shook your head, your own eyes looking down at her lips as you stepped closer, "I'm not. I promise."
Ellie didn’t want to wait any longer. Without another word, she grabbed you by your hips, pulling at you but ultimately balling the material of your sweatshirt in her hands. She pulled you into her, pressing her lips to yours, slow and sweet. Like always, her eyes fluttered closed, as she felt you loosen up in her grip. Your own hand reached up to grab at her arms. You were just as touch-starved and desperate as her. The taste of your lips was making her dizzy, a mixture of sweetness and desire that made her head spin. She could feel the heat radiating between you, coming off you in waves. It smelled like lemon.
Her hands roamed over your body, grabbing at anything she could. Your ass, thighs, tits. They were all hers. She could feel herself growing wet as you stuck your tongue in her mouth and was only met with a moan. All she could taste was mint and all she could smell was lemon and she was certain she was going to pass out.
With a sudden surge of urgency, Ellie pushed you against her kitchen table, helping you sit on it as she pushed her unopened mail to the side. She pulled away for a moment to look at you. You looked so pretty with swollen lips, tip of your nose slightly red from her own brushing against yours.
“You’re so fucking pretty, Petal,” she pushed a stray hair out of your face smiling as she gently kissed your lips. It was short and sweet and made your heart race. The initial thrill was gone and you were left with heavy breathing and an intimate stare. Her hands dipped into the waistband of your sweatpants, pulling at them gently, “Can I take these off for you?”
She smiled and kissed you again as you nodded. She pulled them down and let them fall to the floor, leaning down to press a kiss to your thigh, making you shiver. You weren’t wearing anything special, just some grey briefs that betrayed you by showing the damp spot between your legs.
“Sit back for me,” Ellie instructed, moving you backward so you could put the soles of your feet on the table. You did as you were told, leaning up on your elbows to get a good look at her. Ellie pulled a chair up, sitting in front of you. Her hand grabbed at your ankle, rubbing the skin as she leaned forward to lick you through your underwear. The sudden contact made you gasp and close your eyes. She looked up at you and smiled, before licking again, and closing her mouth around your clothed clit and sucking gently.
All of her movement was excruciatingly slow as she pulled at the hem of your underwear, dragging them up and over your legs and throwing them to the side. This wasn’t the first time she saw you like this, but every time she did she felt her own clit aching. She leaned down again and slowly licked up your cunt, from your entrance to clit, sucking again as she flicked her tongue against you. As she did this her own hand traveled lower, sticking into the waistband of her pants and circling her clit. It didn’t help that you were whimpering beneath her, words that sounded like her name coming from your mouth.
She wasn’t being vocal this time, though. She was focusing solely on you and how her own pleasure was growing.
You moaned out loud this time as she slid two fingers inside you, her fingers curling upwards as she did so. Ellie's touch was both gentle and demanding, her fingers brushing a sensitive spot inside you, causing you to gasp out again. The rhythm of her movements never sped up, they were slow and calculated and she had only pumped her fingers in and out of you a few times before she was pulling them out and licking them clean.
Ellie stood up and guided you to the edge of the table, pulling one of your legs off the table and leaving one firmly planted on the table.
“You’re okay?” She checked in momentarily, placing her hands on your hips as you sat up.
“More than okay,” you smiled leaning forward to kiss her again. She groaned into the kiss and took a step back, stripping her pants from her body and pulling off her underwear, and throwing it into the pile where yours was. You decided to be bold and reach forward to circle her clit with your fingers, causing her to groan, throw her head back, and grip at the edge of the table.
“Fuck,” she cursed out, grinding into your touch almost forgetting her plans. Almost. She grabbed at your wrist stopping you, and pulling your hand off of her.
“Was that not,” you mumbled out, “was that not good?”
“No, shit…” Ellie cursed under her breath, “It was too good. I just.. I had other plans, okay?”
“Okay,” you smiled, still unsure of yourself.
Ellie lifted one of her legs onto the table, so her cunt was positioned right on top of yours. Her gaze locked with yours as she slowly ground her hips into you, earning a loud gasp from you as you grabbed onto her, your own juices mixing with hers. You could tell how wet she was which only egged you on, making your eyes roll back into your head as she ground faster into you, her own breathing heavy and shallow. She was panting as she gripped onto your thigh, nails leaving marks there. Her other hand reached up to reach the back of your neck as she sped up once again.
“Came back to me just for this…” She breathed out, “She couldn’t make you cum… She could never make you look like this.”
As both of your moans grew louder, Ellie’s grip only tightened on you, the phrase “you’re mine” falling from her lips multiple times. The pleasure and pressure was overwhelming, a deep knot in your stomach was begging to come undone.
“Ellie, I’m going to-”
“Cum,” she demanded as her movements sped up and became more sloppy. She was about burst. As your moans grew louder and faster, and she could tell you were about to cum, she pressed her lips to yours, moaning as her hand that was gripping your thigh rested on your table. You came as she kissed you.
She pulled away, her leg falling from the table as she leaned against the table, both of her hands gripping the edge. She didn’t want to look up at you, scared that you would have decided by now that you wanted to leave her. Reluctantly she looked up at your sweaty face to see you smiling at her, toothy grin and all making her smile back.
“Oh, you soooo have a crush on me,” you teased.
“Oh, shut up. So do you.”

PROMPTS FROM TASKMASTER SEASON 16 *  assorted dialogue from the tv show, adjust as necessary
you look so nice, but underneath it all, you're just a shit.
it's just exciting to know people are talking about me.
i don't want to be in there with some wet guy.
oh, i'm gonna push this bitch.
are you a child of divorce?
to this day, i don't know what vibe i give off.
i know it's annoying, but it's all i've got so... just let me have it.
i've never done that.
i'm actually quite good with a sword.
this is one of the most exhausting things i've ever done.
why didn't i just draw a cock and balls?
i don't know why i said that, 'cause i don't really regret it.
you're easy to look at than i am.
oh, you're here. what a thrill.
you absolute anus!
you've got a friend?
would it be mischievous to say things that i'm not supposed to say?
can i just say, i love weapons.
you made me say every country in europe.
do you have a license?
if i do nothing else in this life, that was worth it.
[name], the heat is on.
what sort of cool things do you want?
stick that in your pipe.
i knew what had happened, and even i was swept along by the narrative.
it was avant-garde. it was french cinema.
good luck with your career.
bit late for a banana.
it was very, very cold that day and i wanted to get it over with.
is that your starting position?
i knew it was something boring.
don't have to tell me twice.
it is the least sexy thing that anyone's ever said to anyone.
i don't like going upside down.
what have i done? oh dear. what have i done?
it's nice, it's harmless, it's warm.
this thing is disgusting.
that's useless. that's worse than useless.
i also agree with them. you are sick.
your pie technique was dreadful.
i really like it when you're disappointed in us.
oh, is there a fire? how awful.
nothing going through my head is family friendly. not one idea.
lovely legs, sir!
you got a problem?
that was heterosexual male banter.
are you a superstitious person?
it's too late for that.
do i just choose a name?
i can drive people crazy.
that is a true story, and i feel a bit sick.
i bought it to annoy my husband 'cause i thought he'd hate it.
i'm well-presented, very smart, and available for no-strings fun round the back of the barracks.
what room am i in?
what's your favorite number?
why is there smoke?
running a business is bullshit.
when i think exercise, i think exorcism.
we're not allowed to work with nature?
we were at a wedding together once, and i made you eat a whole pat of butter.
obviously you want to put it on a penis.
are you joking me?
is this something that would excite a heterosexual?
you're going to get a lot of letters.
i'm gonna go for plan b and just throw some things.
is this your stage persona, or is this what you're like?
i don't know what you mean.
you can hide in there waiting for your victims.
i'm sorry, i nearly killed you.
is it appropriate to call him "sir?"
i just really like the idea of stuffing a massive stick up a mannequin's arse and rotating it like a rotisserie chicken.
i was made for this.
i was told by an ex that i have the hands of a midwife.
is that a compulsive disorder of some kind?
what an absolute shower of shits you are.

AITA for purposely using the wrong pronouns for my “friend”?
I (24f) am a bit of a gamer, I’ve been gaming online since I was 15 and I’m in a discord server with the people I play with. The server is decently sized, there’s about 25 people in it, it’s mostly a chill place, we’re all nice to each other and nobody really cared about anyone’s sexuality. We’ve a few trans people in the server and everyone uses their correct pronouns.
A few months ago one of the guys (24m) stopped taking drugs. At first we were delighted because honestly we thought he was gonna OD one of these days and we were all kinda worried about him. However he got really into like andy tate and the manosphere. It makes everyone kinda uncomfortable when he says stuff like “real men aren’t emotional” (and then proceeds to have a hissy fit when he loses a game) but nobody really calls him out because we’ve known him for ten years and nobody wants to start shit.
Anyway he and I were close for a long time and about two weeks ago we were the only ones in the server, when he starts this absolutely insane and unhinged rant about how much he hates pronouns. I asked him why he cares so much when they’re just words and everyone has them, including him. He told me he doesn’t care at all actually and thinks people who do care are pussies. So I asked if he’d care if I used she/her for him instead of he/him. He said he wouldn’t.
I’ve been exclusively using she/her to refer to him for the past two weeks (other than this post as I think it would get confusing) and he gets so annoyed when I do it. Last night he asked me to stop and when I asked if he finally understood how hurtful and uncomfortable it is to be misgendered he said “no I don’t care at all, you’re just being a stubborn bitch and im sick of your attitude so just stop”
I just left the call and since then he’s been blowing up my dms calling me all sorts of names. I asked some of our friends about it, most of them agree he’s just turned from our chill friend to a total dickbag, but some of them think I should just stop since it’s still misgendering and he did ask me to stop doing it.
I’m a bit torn, usually I’ve no issue with using someone’s pronouns, but his idgaf attitude paired with the fact that he clearly does care and just won’t admit to being wrong is really pissing me off, and I feel like he deserved a taste of his own medicine. (He also regularly misgenderes our trans friends but only when they aren’t on the server)
So AITA?
What are these acronyms?

Whats up? <3
Okay I'm just gonna say everything that happened right here
TL;DR: my neck is really swollen and has a big lump in it; parents are being shit.
So last night, only a bit before midnight, the back of my mouth and tongue started really hurting. Like, stinging and itching and burning. It's been doing that for a fair few days now and I just thought it was connected to the flu I've had. But then my neck started hurting too and I realised that I have a really big lump on my neck and my neck and half of my face is swollen and really sore. The lump is under my skin and it feels really firm and every time I touch my neck it hurts.
So I go to my parents room because I'm really nervous. My neck and mouth are really painful and swollen and there's a lump- of course I'm anxious. I don't think that's normal and it's probably concerning. Anyway, I go to my parents' room and wake them up. They were both really annoyed that I woke them up but I told them I had a lump on my neck. They both told me I was hallucinating and there was nothing there (there 100% was and is). I was getting more and more panicked because they wouldn't believe me and I was scared there was something seriously wrong with me because I'm not a medical professional- I'm a teenager with chronic anxiety. They kept telling me I was being mad and if I was going to the hospital it would be for my behaviour not my neck. My neck was really hurting so I was holding it but my mum forced me to not touch it and pinned me down so I couldn't move at all and I was really scared because I wasn't doing anything wrong and she was acting like I was dangerous and they kept yelling at me while I had a panic attack and they made sure I couldn't move and I was fucking terrified and they didn't understand and they thought I had gone mad. They also thought that because I was hyperventilating I was forcing myself to breathe weirdly and pretend that my neck was cutting off my breathing. They just really didn't understand and they weren't trying to and they were so angry and I felt like I was some sort of rabid animal they were trying to capture.
Eventually I kinda calmed down and my mum forced me to sleep in her bed with her and she was too close to me and I really hated it and it was so uncomfortable and I didn't want physical contact but I was nonverbal and really scared. My dad slept on the futon in my parents' room and was acting like I was being a burden. I did fall asleep.
Then I woke up at about quarter to 7 today and the lump was still there- maybe even bigger so I went to my room and that's when I first went on Tumblr. I've almost had a panic attack again since, my mouth really hurts, my throat is burning and my lump is really painful. My face feels kind of droopy and numb and swollen. I am really fucking scared. I know it's probably nothing but google said it's cancer and my friend said his sister had something similar and she had a parasite and I am so nervous because my parents won't even consider taking me to the hospital because even if they acknowledge that my neck is bad, they won't do anything about it. I can't find anyone who has any reliable advice either, unless I literally run away from my house to the medical clinic about a mile away and I'm really fucking scared to do that and I feel stuck.
Also if I don't eat in too long I can pass out, feel sick, be sick, or a great number of things and I don't know if I can get stuff down my throat right now with how swollen my neck is because when I cough I can feel the lump.
So uhh, two things. Neck really hurts, is very swollen. Parents are being fucking shit.
Update: mum told me to take some painkillers and said it was because of my flu. She won't take me to the hospital probably even though she said it will probably be there for a week. She's not anywhere near a medical professional. She has kind of realised that I'm in a lot of pain. I still haven't had breakfast at 10:38... but I might make a smoothie.
