@invisible90 this might be the best I can do. Imagine asking for chubby shirtless Arabic men in the weekend of the Great Moderation Tightening. At one point I had to include the phrase "with slick hair and hair" or it would always ban. There's a tragic mashup of sumo and boxing gear because once in a boxing ring, it wouldn't let me change it to dohyo. And good lord for some reason being Arabic is currently highly frowned upon by Bing. ---- oh, i meant to start adding prompts again cause it seems the changes are going to be a problem: side angled photo of a exaggerated round belly 30 year old boxer wearing sandals , with a large heavy beerbelly, egyptian man with slick hair and hair, and with a perfectly round beerbelly, in a boxing ring, he is very fat, he has a large pregnant belly, , his belly is the shape of a huge round water balloon, he is stern looking at the camera some variations that worked, kinda: hands above head in victory pose, tired, adding certain generic names (be wary though as this is what got me the manual review warning lol. they might not be as generic as you think!)

not sure who needs this, but here is a list i've made of all the "realistic" serana replacers, bc i know the "doe-eyed 16 yr old" look that most replacer mods have gets old real fast (and creepy, given her backstory)

replacer for serana by @yennethan : i love this one and i'm going to use it for my next playthrough. gives her more of a 'wise older sister' vibe, as opposed to a 'young vampy bimbo'.

anima nera by serkethetyt : this one has a creepier vibe than all the other serana replacers i've seen. if you like your vampires to be more on the horrific and visceral side, then look no further.

npc overhaul - serana (high poly) by ihuntalone : this mod manages to strike a nice balance, keeping her facial proportions realistic while still making her look delicate and elegant

eeekie's serana by eeekie : one thing i love about eeekie's mods (besides the stunning realism) is that the characters always look like grown adults. if you want a more mature and seasoned look for your serana, this is the one.

seranade by annaccident : i only found this mod while making this post and ?? why is this one so underrated lol, she is gorgeous. i like her tired eyes, because wouldn't you also be exhausted after taking nirn's longest nap? the hairs are also mashups, making them quite unique and giving her the signature braids she sports.

dashing dawnguard followers by tragedian : one of my all-time faves ! this one (and all of tragedians mods) puts a refreshing spin on vanilla style, staying true to the game's original vibe but making serana a lot more aesthetically pleasing in the process. (note that this mod is not standalone and will replace other dawnguard npcs)

definite serana smp hair by mharlek1 : another mod that stays pretty true to vanilla style, with the added bonus of smp hair ! (if you don't use smp, there's an option for no physics as well).

serana - daughter of coldharbour by southpawe : this mod models serana's face after her voice actor, laura bailey. the ethics of this mod are... questionable lol, but on the plus side, who fits serana's voice better than her literal voice actor?

nithi npc enhancement - serana by nightmarezone : this lovely serana has a realistic face and has 3 different hairstyles to choose from. if you like the style of this mod, you should check out the rest of their work, bc their npcs are awesome.

dragonborn waifus - yet another serana replacer by lucazoid : don't let the name fool you, this is no waifu mod. this replacer gives her a strong brow and tired eyes, and has a whopping 24 (!!!) hairstyle options.

Note this is my first fanfic ever please be nice. I’m trying I constantly reread and change/fix these. As of 1/25/24 i've redone this story it is no longer a reader insert. I want to thank everyone who liked the original and hope you like the updated version more, this was my first ever fic and i've slowly grown as a writer so everyone enjoy

It begins like every other day on Asgard, sunny and golden, gilded with light, as the sounds of a baby’s wails break the silence of the healing wing. Loki paces back and forth, waiting to be with his wife and newborn. The doors swing open and an attendant comes forward.

“You may enter your highness, your wife and child are all cleaned up and waiting for you”. Brushing past the attendant, Loki heads straight for the figure sitting up against the backboard of the green silk bed.

“My darling, how are you? How do you feel? Do you need anything? Are you hung/…’..

“/Loki, calm down. I'm perfectly fine. A little tired but it was all worth it to finally meet our daughter.”

“Yes ,my son , she is a beautiful baby princess and here she is ready to meet her parents .”

Walking to the new parents with a bundle of green and gold cloth in her hands, Frigga handed the new princess to her mother. The baby was a light blue theraise markings prominent on her body, tuffs of deep black hair crowned her head Asher scarlet eyes opened to take in her parents. Lady Sigyn didn't even pause at the baby’s coloring, long since having broken Loki of thinking himself a monster due to his heritage

“She is half Jotun like we expected but her body should adjust to the environment soon just as her father did” queen Frigga states noticing her son had yet to say anything. Loki just stared at his daughter's small form resting in his beloved's arms, slowly offering his finger to the babygirl. Skin turning blue as the bay gripped it in her small hands

“She’s beautiful”,

The new parents watched as scarlet eyes gave way to white with beautiful amethyst irises, skin turning a beautiful pale like her fathers with a dashing of freckles like her mother

“She looks just like you, my prince, beautiful dark hair and all.”

“She looks. Like the both of us, a perfect blend. My little Raven, Elara frigga Lokidottir Princess of Asgard.”

800 years have passed and the young princess has grown into a young woman of grace and beauty. A mage like her father and grandmother before her, and warrior in her own right. I mean, how could she not? With private training form an actual Valkyrie, and the literal goddess of war and god of thunder (god of sparkles lol) as her aunt and uncle. In all her time though, she has grown up around love,seeing it in her parents' faces as they look at one another. In her baby brother's eyes as they babble up at her, Her grandparents and uncle and so many others, that she was ready to find it herself.

“Mother, father, I've done it.” Elara omimites as she bursts into her parents sitting room. Sigyn was sitting on the floor with the twins as they had tummy time while Loki was next to her legs crossed at the ankle reading a book to the two of them.

`What is that my little raven?”

“ Father, I've completed the spell to find my soulmate.”

“Soulmate? Spell? Darling what are you talking about, you're still so young you shouldn’t have to be so worried about that.”

“Mother you and father were only 200 years older than me when you both finally married and much younger than that the first time you met and started cavorting with each other. Besides, I'm ready. I want to have what all of you have, especially before I'm used as a pawn to help diplomatic affairs, I want to find my other half.”

“My little raven, we would never allow the allfather or anyone else to use you as a pawn. Besides i second your thoughts”.

“Loki why am i not surprised you are some howenvloved with our daughter trying to leave

“Dear, it will all be fine trust me I would do nothing that would harm our little raven” he kisses his wife soothing her while gesturing to elara to carry on with her proclamation ,

“go ahead love tell us what you’ve discovered”

“ Mother?” Sigyn pinches her mouth looking between her mischievous husband and equally energetic eldest

“Fine, I will go along with you and your fathers plans but i wish to be there when the spell is cast and part of the travel discussions”

“Absolutely mother, I can do the spell now, i just need the maps of the realms”

Loki summons all the maps he's collected over the years including a globe of earth and sets them up for his daughter, when a thought finally occurs to him.

“Odin forbid this adventure, send you to Midgard.”

“Loki we will be supportive of whoever it ends up being and wherever it ends up taking her. Besides, if you didn’t want her to go away, you shouldn’t have helped her make the spell to begin with.”

“Your words cut deep my love. I simply hoped for her future match to be here in Asgard.”

“Of course you did, dear. Now sweetie, let's proceed with this event.”

The maps of the realms litter the giant green carpet. In front of you, setting the small golden bowl of which to concoct the spell in the middle of th wide green rugs.”

“So I modified a spell to find a lost item and a spell to show your hearts desire, combining the two with a very complicated magic circle I should be able to find my soulmate”,

“Very impressive little raven”

“Thank you father ok lets start. The purple magic flows from your fingers towards the bowl containing the two simple spells ingredients while your power spreads out forming the magic circle. As soon as it's complete a bright pulsing light shoots up. Dancing around Elara several times before shooting over to the maps.

“It's working!” Sigyn happily. Awes watching her daughter work.

Pulsing around the realms maps the light simply hoovers before shooting for the Midgardian globe encasing it insistently

“Oh joy of course my daughters soulmate is a Midgardian”

“Honestly, I think it serves you right Loki”, Sigyn states picking at her husband and his distaste for midgardians “but you don’t even know who or what this midgarden is. Who knows, they could be gifted like our dear Wanda”

“Yes my darling” Loki says as he collapses on the nearest couch.

“Well go on my little raven, let's see where in Midgard you will be visiting”

Walking over to the globe, Elara peers over to what small words have now been illuminated.

“It’s a place called….. Forks, Washington.”

since the preview i suspected i was going to enjoy this title track a lot and more than seOul drift, and i was right! i really like the contrast between the industrial sounds and percussions of the verses reminiscing of chrOme hearts and the guitar in the pre-chorus and bridge (that made me levitate btw). the build-up is nice 😌👌 it's on the ooo chillier side aka perfect for me yay

the sound is giving alternative rnb (too tired to know for sure), so i was sold already 😋 she's the brighter sister of "mirage", the toxic one of "suit dance", and the chiller one of "gaslighting". she sits at the same table of "time machine", "desert" and "heartbreak terminal", and i love this for me because i love all these songs 😎

500 oh god oh fuck

Glasgow was a really fun concert!! Though it’d probably rank as one of my lower ones just bc I didn’t do the whole queue all day experience so it felt a lot shorter to me (and also it was such a huge venue)

I originally debated doing the all day queue bc I was selling my ticket to a Twitter mutual of mine I’ve met up with at concerts before, and they were planning on queueing all day. But when my alarm woke me up around 6 am I texted them asking what the queue was like and they said their friends held a spot for them at 4 am and they were 24th in the queue. Like, what.

So yeah I decided that wasn’t how I wanted to spend my last full day in Glasgow lol. Instead I took a tour of a whisky distillery (I do not like whisky but it’s Scotland so I figured why not) and got tipsy off the whisky samples they gave us. Then I went to a science museum across the way from the distillery (technically it’s meant for kids but it’s meant for adults to enjoy too) so I was just slightly drunk playing around with interactive science exhibits and befriended one of the staff members lmao

ANYWAY then around 4 I got to the venue and got in line (doors opened at 7). Got some takeaway from a nearby restaurant and ate it in line, it was very spicy but it kept me warm bc it was raining so I wasn’t complaining. Then I just kinda hung out there and chatted a bit with the girl behind me! We ended up being next to each other at the actual gig and became buddies which was nice and I was actually closer to the stage than I expected to be. Also I got tired of the ‘someone holds pictures up to the crowd on their phone and lets them cheer and boo respectively’ bit that happened at a few lovejoy gigs this past year, but it was pretty funny when someone held up the Scottish flag for everyone to cheer, and then the English flag for everyone to boo (and ofc I joined in)

It was SO HOT. At first I was glad bc as I said it was raining outside so I was shivering by the time we got in, but it didn’t take long for it to get sweaty. Loupe as an opening act was SO good. I’d never heard of them before but their music was so good!! (also the lead singer and the bassist were both so pretty I was having such a gay moment). Then Goodkid performed and tbh I know a ton of Lovejoy fans love their music but I’d never heard their stuff before, but I get it now they have such a fun sound and great energy!! Definitely gonna save some songs from them when I get around to it

Then lovejoy was fantastic as always. Although we were only about 3 songs in when someone fainted and everything had to stop. I couldn’t see what was going on from where I was but I hope the person’s okay! This was my 5th lovejoy gig but it was the first time someone’s fainted at one I’ve been to.

Then we resumed and in between songs the boys would start playing this instrumental track I didn’t recognize, but I filmed each time it happened bc it didn’t just sound like random jamming. I sent the clips to firesnap after the gig and she and I both agree it sounds like snippets from a possible new song so… :)))

Also Lovejoy covered The Killers at my gig which was so good. At first I was confused bc it was a mashup with cause for concern so I got hyped thinking it was cfc and then Wilbur started singing different lyrics but it slapped so I’m so glad I got to see that in person.

Anyway overall really good gig!! Also I wasn’t getting shoved nearly as much as I have at American gigs so shoutout to the Scottish for that

2. fave band - the Peter Gabriel thing was a total divine accident. I was out dancing at an 80s-90s music video mashup night and Sledgehammer came on. I remember hearing the opening flute riff and seeing some guy near me contort his body in sudden recognition. the first beat hit and I can only imagine this is what people feel after doing their first hit of some deadly euphoric drug. the rest is history; I felt something in my brain go *clunk* and it was game over.

6. ahhh so many over the years but right now it’s Us by Peter Gabriel. I’m a total basic bitch for a good melody and that album is full of them, not to mention extremely relatable themes around longing, connection, “am I the problem,” and more. honorable mentions go to Age of Adz and Carrie and Lowell by Sufjan Stevens, Not Even Happiness by Julie Byrne, the original Hadestown album pre-Broadway, and O True Believers by James Blackshaw.

I was in band and choir all throughout high school and college and kept singing in different groups after college. now I get such a charge out of dance, karaoke, live shows, and jamming on my uke. music has also helped me remember moments in my life, i.e. the first time I heard a Julien Baker song while driving through southern Colorado in a rainstorm. like life snapshots.

Hi anon! So, the last time I tuned in, there were 50k viewers there for the acoustic set. Why is that? Virtually every subsection of Taylor's fans are waiting for those songs and mashups with bated breath each show, just itching to theorize about what it all means (myself very much included!)

You've got football fans romanticizing lyrics from Fifteen, queer fans insisting the 1989 color combos are reflective of this or that pride flag, and suckers like me clowning over what a mashup of Glitch with a song from Red might imply timeline-wise… lol

This is exactly why Taylor is a Mastermind. Worst part is, we all know we're suckers (I hope) and we keep going back for more! I think we're all curious to see whether our personal intuition is right (I know I am!)

A roller coaster is a great way to describe it, though! Genuinely, I believe Taylor is gearing up to break everyone's favorite toy (her love life). What I do know for sure is that something fiery awaits us in the Rep vault (and oh my god, if you want to talk about clowning… the Rep TV theorists are probably the #1 consumer of clown makeup worldwide! I'm very much including myself here, too lol) But, each vault has been incredibly enlightening thus far, chiefly the 1989 vault (in which we got confirmation of a lost collaboration with Matty).

I think the best clowning dates are the two Friday-the-13ths this year in September & December (as is customary to preface, now, this is not me chanting 'MORE!', I just see potential around her favorite number falling twice on Fridays and that she'd benefit most from releasing these albums while still on tour - I will be personally happy to receive the final TVs whenever we are blessed with them!)

Apart from that, it seems likely that fans following Taylor closely will be trapped in football purgatory (full shade to the NFL) until at least September, based on fauxmance guidelines set here (this guy has partnered with the publicist of Taylor's current partner, btw - sorry if that's worded poorly, I just don't want to type his name!)

Those are the most realistic sort of goalposts I have to offer right now. I do suggest either tuning out if you are emotionally affected by anything and if not, then kick back and enjoy the show! (and by show, I do not mean Taylor's love life, I mean the media spectacle that follows as a result, but most of all, those glorious acoustic sets!)

Like, thing is with Akiba Maid War, to do a good genre parody or mashup you have to, on some level, love and understand the thing you're riffing on, even when you're highlighting parts of that genre that are silly/stupid/generic. This is where a lot of things fall down because the joke is just "isn't this tired and hackneyed part of the genre so tired and hackneyed!! Lol!!" while still just... Doing that tired hackneyed thing. In this case though, Maid War is just genuinely a pretty good straightforward Yakuza story. It hits a big swath of well trodden genre tropes, so far there haven't been any story beats that really surprised me, you kinda know where the situation will go as soon as it's introduced. That may seem to contradict what I said earlier, but the crucial difference is that these beats are well executed, they have good setup and payoff and the characters behave like they belong in this world. If you took all the Maid stuff out and replaced it with typical Yakuza trimmings it would still make sense and be a totally decent, engaging story, even if not an especially original one. The fact that it is Maids though both calls attention to itself (why are these maids shooting each other?) calls attention to the genre stuff it's playing on (those gangsters love making unnecessary risks while trying to climb out of the hole that just gets them in deeper huh?), which is funny on its own, and because they're executed with confidence it lets the tired tropes shine in a way that evokes what makes all this shit fun in the first place. It also allows that structure to act as the blank canvas to build on. You already know basically what's going to happen, which gives them room to surprise you with the little twist or flair they put on things. In other words, this shit is a clown show where you need to be able to juggle a bunch of things at once. Even if each individual element is well trod and familiar, it's the act of keeping them all in the air skillfully at the same time that makes it fun and impressive.
