i was tagged by @emmatmackeys, who is an absolute darling, earlier this week! i found it difficult to pick five, mostly because i’m usually not very much impressed with my own work, but i ended up finding out that i’ve actually made a lot of things i really liked this year, so that’s great!

my fic all along there was some invisible string. i think it’s the strongest my writing has ever been and i’m so incredibly proud of it.

these hsm icons. i started using a new method for making icons and even though this batch has taken me a lot of time to make (more than i’m willing to admit), i’m quite satisfied with the results.

my troyella + taylor swift lyrics gif series. i just really like the concept and i wish more people had given these gifsets a chance!

this zoey’s extraordinary playlist gifset. it was the first time trying a new colouring method for my gifs and it turned out really nice.

this good place gifset. i think the scenes i selected worked really well together.

honourable mentions: this beauty and the beast gifset (it took me a while to get the colouring and scene selection right and i’m glad it worked out in the end) and this gifset for the hsm formula series, because it’s funny. also, this post, although it’s a sh*tpost i’ve made in like five minutes, but i think it’s hilarious.

@onenicebugperday found this little cutie in my bathtub. i gave them a bath with a tiny sprinkle of lukewarm water cuz its hot out here in england and we chilled for a while. she even gave a little wave for the camera!

think they might be a false widow / cupboard spider which are venomous but not as much as actual widows so glad i didnt touch but was tempt to pet. i call her hank

this is an arachnid appreciation post.

this is semi. hes a minmin cicada bard who wanders the forest and plays for ppl at log taverns. they play the shamisen and have a little shiitake mushroom hat mostly cuz i thought it was cute

1. Why did you choose your URL? - To hide my old one from people who know me IRL. Tumblr tip: don't choose a URL you use anywhere else, it'll haunt you for the rest of your life. (Nobody's found me but... they could...)

Any side blogs? - One, but it's inactive since it was created for a joke that has since run its course (culminating in the second-funniest thing I have ever done, tricking @letoscrawls into accepting a marriage proposal from a cartoon snake, which is the absolute best way that prank could have possibly ended.)

3. How long have you been on tumblr? - Has it been multiple years already? I could have sworn I only joined a year ago but apparently not...

5. What did you originally start this blog for? - I was interacting with some cool Star Wars blogs through their askboxes and decided I wanted to start a writeblr.

6. Why did you choose your icon? - To promote my new Star Wars fic!

Unless the "Gollum chasing the Ring like Scrat from Ice Age for the whole movie" post overtook it. @gayarsonist made a post with the same concept a couple months later and frankly I think it was better.
