The au where shen yuan is linguang-jun has a mental hold on me. Specifically the potential ending in which he ends up with Su Xiyan and Tianlang-jun.

Hear me out for a second, I like to think of SXY and TLJ as both tall, usually 6'2 & 6'3 respectively, even if I think TLJ will sometimes claim he is shorter than SXY.

Anyway, in this fic SY is described as tall as shit, able to scoop up fully grown Mobei-jun like a kid tall. So I'm going to say he's 7'8 for a very specific reason.

At this height, both TLJ and SXY are at chest level to SY. That's my only reason

Had to look up who that is cuz I haven't watched it, and it looks kinda similar. I don't think its exactly the same, but I can see how it would look like.

lucanis is a 'I could sit in our quiet kitchen on a grey tuesday afternoon drinking coffee and talking with you about nothing much in particular forever and be the happiest man who ever lived' romantic, not a 'classic tropes and grand gestures' romantic. this is a distinction and conceptual gap I personally feel is crucial to understanding what's going on with him when romanced. for all his almost painful sincerity and clear depth of feeling he's not a very effusive guy by nature, but in the history of time no one has ever, with their whole soul, chest and being, been so genuinely and openly happy to just do laundry and taxes with you.

something i really really enjoy about garak's character every time i rewatch ds9 is how fucking messy he is. and like, obviously he is an incredibly interesting man who relies on ephemera and subtext to survive, taped together with trauma and his own convictions, but he's also a messy bitch in the real housewives sense as well. he would be so at home on a bravo reunion set with a glass full of wine. his entire storyline in 2x05 is him digging up dirt on dukat just bc he wants to be a huge bitch. character of all time.

Jayvik Modern AUs are hilarious to me because my boy Jayce is NOT playing any sports. He is NOT a jock. He is a gymbro nerd who tries to get his rich sister to play DnD with him, spends his days at the chemistry lab, plays chess and one day he suddenly needs to help the football team covering for someone because people think he must like sports. He doesn't even get along with everyone. He tries, of course, but he isn't the golden boy until the extremely rich and popular girl, president of the student-council, goes all "Popular! You're gonna be popular!" Glinda on him until he becomes popular thinking he's doing something good for the school when he isn't and he's getting carried away by fame and parties when all he truly wants is being with his lab partner Viktor. At the end of the day, Arcane truly was just like High School tbh.
