Ah, I am hardly fluent in Japanese, nor am I Japanese! I try my best to be careful with how I interpret phrases and words, but I think there is a lot that I miss because of the loss of cultural understanding/context 😔 sorry if I’ve misled in any way.

Some people have a natural talent when it comes to languages and - alas, I am not one of them 🤣

I took some Japanese language lessons back when I was a teenager, did some self study (with manga, magazines, novels, cds, dictionaries & workbooks), and when I entered university, I did two years of Japanese as part of my electives.

This was actually kind of quite some time ago. Until I stumbled upon the jjk fandom, I hadn’t practiced any Japanese. I’m rusty 🥲 kanji is difficult to learn. It is infinitely easier with new tech these days, but in all honesty it makes me lazy so I don’t think I progress/improve much.

So now… I get by through passively reading the language, use google translate liberally, but don’t tend to speak it because I lack the confidence to do so.

Especially when it comes to interacting with people who speak it online, I’m not confident when it comes to polite Japanese anyway, and it’s a bit of a minefield trying to grasp the online etiquette of the Japanese 😵‍💫 so I tend to avoid conversing in it, unless it’d be rude not to attempt.

I’m like this with other secondary languages too. I’m really only fluent in English 😓

1) NTT of course

This will probably forever be my favorite Raven costume, I don't see any way to improve upon it.

2) Teen Titans 2003 (the comic run, not the show)

It's basically the same with only a few minor alterations, and I don't hate any of them. I like the thigh highs.

3) Teen Titans: Earth One

I love her Earth One design!! The comic is an Elseworlds but it's very fun. I like the wide flowy pants and big earrings.

4) New 52

It's grown on me a bit, though I still don't like the weird hood or the boob cups. But I do like the feathers and the claw gloves. And she looks fine when she takes the hood off.

5) Dawn of DC

If I was ranking overall design, this would be dead last, but since it's just the costume, there are actually elements of this I like. I actually debated putting this one above New 52, but her overall design is so bad I couldn't bring myself to do it lol. I like the NTT homage and the flowy fabric, but I'm not the biggest fan of the body suit.

6) Bombshells

I don't like it as a costume for Raven because it doesn't really feel anything like Raven, but as a costume it's cute.

7) Rebirth

I don't like itttt. I think the red hair is slightly better than the pink hair situation she's got right now but the costume is worse.

I feel like I might have forgotten some, I'll rb and add if I remember any additonal ones.

Also, honorable mention for wedding crasher Raven's outfit. Not a hero outfit and it's pretty silly but I like it because I have a crush on her

Um I think George's teammate is doing this on purpose, break him mentally off-the-track by weaponising his insane fandom. The way Fernando did with him. If he can't beat him on-track for whatever reasons he hopes that this will harm him, I used to have so much respect for him and what he does for social advocacy but he knows what he's doing and its so insidious. for sure. i mean i wasn't there in real time and i can only go by judging from a distance, but the fact that the guy is trying to imply that the team is favouring george and sabotaging him -- i think he'd already be posting telemetry data again if it was 2012 lmao...

george is as close to him as alonso and rosberg, the two teammates he most famously clashed with during his f1 career. he knows what he's doing and he knows exactly what his fanbase is like. he knew it when he made that fuckass comment in bahrain, knew it when he was talking shit in monaco and so on. meanwhile george seemingly doesn't engage in these games, and good for him. i bet that shit is annoying as hell, imagine putting all that effort into crafting those shitty narratives, trying to play mind games, and your teammate just turns up and beats you again and again with an unbothered smile 😃

Completed Coloring Page Edition

Nightsister magick. I have to get better at it. I guess because I'm just doing squiggles. (😆 I'll just add it to my 'what I can improve on' list)

I'm happier with the way his horns look in this one, so that a bonus. 🙂

A bit of behind the scenes: I think in my original sketch he is supposed to look as if he's in a pool of Nightsister magick. But, to have so much magick line art (I think) would have looked to overwhelming. So, a 'simple' coloring page was created instead.

Only 5 more coloring pages to go! Next, I'll be working on the Darth Maul page where he is looking down at his cybernetics, with a kyber crystal border. And Maul is completely shirtless. Again. Intricate tattoos and cybernetics...may the Force be with me.

Missed confession corner but wanted to give my two cents on JE (nobody asked). I personally think JE is good actor but do not care for him as a person (I have never been able to make it through an interview of his). I have no idea if he cheated on Z, so I don’t care about that especially since Z is happy currently. I think his next few movies are going to hits though (I personally will be watching them not because he is in them but because they sound interesting 🤷🏾‍♀️). In that sense he is doing well for himself. I’m tired of people blaming JE hate on zendaya fans. It feels like a cop out (some people do the same with Sydney sweeney). When the reality is that all these people get hate (yes including Z and Tom). The fact that JE has never done anything remotely interesting could also contribute to the hate and has nothing to do with Z. i have seen people hate on him because he comes across bland in his interviews and I think that is a fair criticism. I do feel like after his next few movies come out things will change for him though. Especially with saltburn. The test screenings were phenomenal. I have already seen the tide change on him in film twitter spaces and the Oscar race subreddit. So he’ll be fine. He’s not getting a significant amount of hate compared to his peers (not everyone loves him and that’s fine). We’ve seen it happen with our own faves and they are fine.

I actually agree with most of what you said. While my feelings on JE as a person are a bit on the shaky side 👀, I do feel that overall he's a decent actor, and his more recent upcoming projects will be interesting. I think these projects might help him get out of the, "Oh, that guy from Ephoria/TKB" limbo that he's been in for the past few years. I also think these new projects will help bring him more into conversation with the general public.

Re: His Interviewing Skills...

His interviewing skills used to annoy me also ngl lol, but now I'm thinking that he's just socially awkward, and maybe even a little shy? 🤷🏾‍♀️ He's improved a lot since his earlier days imo lol, so that's a plus, I guess 😅

Yeah, sometimes I whine about how bad some of my artworks look and can't trust the compliments but that's because I've never received any criticisms toward art. Sometimes, I really want to hear constructive criticisms, like, 'it looks gorgeous, but I think the perspective is a bit off here'! But you wouldn't believe, no one has ever raised any negative points on my arts. I, all the time, get praise even if I don't want it. And that makes myself thinking if I'm really good at it or people are just flattering me! (Although my brother told me 'why on earth people would flatter you, they don't even know you!' Actually it makes sense!) I am not a professional artist, I never learned it, how am I supposed to improve if nobody points out the errors?!

I'm not a huge fan of my video editing, writing or singing, but when it comes to drawing, yes, I love this entity of myself. I don't even try it, it just comes naturally. I feel like it's in my DNA! And about the perfectionism, I have OCD 😐, unfortunately (I didn't wanna reveal it, 'cause people would think, that gal has nothing but problems!).

But I do try to keep a positive attitude towards the artist community. No matter how little I know about art, I want to share my knowledge with everyone. You might have already noticed that I made a couple of tutorials on ibisPaint X drawing and I am looking forward to doing more in the future!

Additionally, whenever I find a tutorial helpful, I share it on Tumblr with fellow artists! I regularly comment on other artists' feed as well. And when I discovered my mutuals are artists too, I feel ecstasy of joy!

I’ve received a lot of letters from artists asking to check out their artwork and their blog, and I’ve noticed that a lot of them openly write unhealthy amounts of negative comments about their artwork, it was super depressing, honestly.  :( Confidence plays a very very important role as an artist, it’s what helps us learn and grow without the constant feeling of doubt and jealousy!  You are a unique individual who must go down your own unique path, and as scary as it sounds, you can’t rely on others to hold your hand all the way through.  You are the only one who can get yourself to where you need to go, and beating up your artwork is not the way!  Trust yourself and your abilities to make a change, and you can do anything!! Love your art, love yourself!

now I’m not known for being the sportiest hawthorne but that doesn’t mean I can’t play well. basketball is a personal favourite because it allows me to make fun of my short brothers, although when savannah plays it becomes un-fun because she is flawless at that game. I can play hockey moderately well and most sports really, but there’s not one I’m more inclined to like gray with his swimming. ooooooo you should make friends with gray too, he loves to swim!!

today is the day of arafah! and alhamdulillah i'm fasting now 😃 it's my first time fasting on arafah because usually i'm unable to due to abc or i just... didn't care about it much. it's kinda suprirising to say this but this year is actually my first time reading that the first 10 days of zul hijjah are the best days of the year 🥲 either i really didn't know that or i have read but the info didn't process and harbour in my mind. but nevertheless alhamdulillah, i learnt something new today 🤍 and in sha Allah on this day of arafah, where if you fast, your sins from the previous year and next year will be forgiven. and your deeds will be multiplied by a loooot. in sha Allah. and tomororrow is adiladha already, and i tried to learn how to solat sunnat hari adilfitri haha and alhamdulillah it looked confusing at first but it's actually easy. 2 raka'at tambah some takbir hehe. may i have the rezeki to solat sunat adilifitri in the monring (for the first time jugak!) di masjid + volunteering along the way cos i signed up for it hehehe. a bit nervous because i'm going alone🥺but issokay, Allah is always there for me. so i have nothing yo worry about in sha Allah amin.

It's Rosie Answers Old Asks! day apparently. This one was from July 😅😅😅 and after some endless scrolling (how do I post so much??) I finally found the Character Ask Game list which is:

First impression: Me 3 mintes into 1x01 was thinking something like, "Ok, New Jack Dalton seems like an improvement on OG Jack Dalton for sure...." because honestly, in OG Mac, I always just kind of wanted to slap OG Jack Dalton. He was like my least favorite OG Mac character.

Impression now: I ❤️ Jack so much. He's totally my favorite Mac character.

Favorite moment: Just.... one favorite moment? This question is so unfair. After thinking way too hard for way too long, I'm going to go with Jack lecturing Mac about staying safe in Corkscrew. Like it's clear that Jack trusts Mac -- he rarely hestitates to let Mac get into a dangerous situation when it's actually necessary. But the way he puts his foot down and makes Mac stay behind when Murdoc is after him is so good.

Idea for a story: *gestures vaguely toward WIP pile* Weweeelllll today's story in progress involves Jack getting dragged along to wilderness training....

Unpopular opinion: Jack should've dated Dawn a bit more. I mean, was this a reationship I really wanted in the show? No. But was this a good potential long-term relationship for Jack? Okay also no. 😂 But if Jack turned to crime instead of working for the good guys, I could totally see him in a similar "career" as Dawn.

Favorite relationship: Ummm. Jack and basically everybody? Ok ok it's definitely Jack and Mac. But I love how Jack is the glue in most of the foundational relationships on the show. He's Mac's partner in crime, Matty's former operative, Riley's father figure. Bozer is the only core teammate whose direction connection is to Mac, not Jack, but by 1x01 it's pretty clear he and Bozer are really friends too.

Favorite headcanon: Quick somebody remind me which of the things I believe about Jack are headcanons and which are real canons.

My thoughts about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

(Spoilers ahead)

This movie started off so normal for a Marvel movie, it quickly turned dark.

I wasn't prepared for the overall darkness of the movie, as well as the gore. Don't get me wrong, it's not AHS level of gore, but it was extremely surprising to see in a Marvel movie under the ownership of Disney.

I loved seeing Chavez's pride pin! And her two moms!

I like the star shaped portals she opens.

I was genuinely surprised that Wanda was the main villain in the movie, I really thought she and Strange would've teamed up to take down a bigger threat! I guess all the trailers tricked me.

Another thing, Wanda was slightly OOC. I don't think it was a good choice for them to go from Wandavision, to her 100% being the villain of the movie. My problem isn't her being a villain, my problem is they rushed into it and didn't progress at a good pace for her to become a villain over time.

I think her character development would've made more sense if in the movie she slowly turned into the villain and by the end she was.

Why didn't she just mind control Chavez? Why did I think that she was initially going to keep Chavez as a magic slave basically and force her to use her powers for whatever she wants.

Doctor Strange please don't have a third eye I hate it.😃

I keep saying this, but literally Wanda has the power to bring her sons back into existence and put a little hex cloud thing over their heads like Elsa does for Olaf. LITERALLY A DISNEY ICE QUEEN CAN DO IT! SO CAN WANDA! But noooo that would be too obvious 😒

None of this would've happened if Wanda hadn't gotten the book from Agatha. Man, it really was Agatha All Along >:3c

Overall, it was technically a good movie. I think there's room for some improvements, but I enjoyed it more than Infinity War!
