I think the reason why "Fire Emblem" is the weird kid at the nintendo franchies table is because they don't really have a main charcter throughout their series.

Like, Legend of Zelda has Link, Mario Mario, Kirby Kirby, Pikmin the Pikmin/Olimar etc.

A few exptions that could be said is like, Xenoblade. But seeing as they have 3 games so they can just pick any MC they want for the time being to rep it.

Meanwhile the most noteable FE guy is Marth from number of apparances, but if you remove remakes that's like, two games. Even then, he was more in JP only games.

Other people who could have became the face of FE as the flagship mascot could have been

-Lyn: One of the most popular girls in FE. Was from the first US release of the game as a main lord. She most likely can't because she came at an akward time in gaming and would be seen as "wifu bait" to a lot of annoying people.

-Ike: One of the most popular lords in FE. a HUGE fan favorite and even cult following in Smash Bros (Like Smash HATES FE, but they chill with Ike. Because We Like ike). Most likly why he can't be the icon is Sales numbers. Love the Tellious saga but I'll be real, I did not contribute to the sales figure like most of you and played it years later. Also it's heavily implied through writing and breaking of story conventions that he's Gay/Ace/demi. And while Nintndo's super mario said "Gay people cool" it's a Multi billion dollar company so I don't think they'll want that.

-Chrom: For the 3DS people, Chrom is the most memeorible lord out of the bunch. Was the face of the game for a while, sorry lucina and robin fans, but chrom's popularity was bigger at the time of the game. Most likely why he can't be. well. it's Chrom and people's opions changed over time.

-Edelgard: Switch girlies, this one is for you. WE know you love badass women who break so many ethics we make conventions after it. There isn't really much reason to explain the why she can, but the reasons why she can't are kinda lame. Like Ike, she's outright shown being bisexual. And you can't really market that in some places. Plus, to say this the least. She is one of the most divisive FE characters because of how much Nuance is in 3 houses. Love or hate her, she brings out WAY to much from people to be a masctor charcter (Won't stop the FEH alts though). Plus, She's like tied to the other 2 lords that it's like the contract for Who Framed Rogger Rabbit saying "Bugs bunny and Mickey Mouse must be on screen for the same amount of time. Donald Duck and Daffy Duck (last names unrealated) must be on screen for the same amount of time."

-Ephram: he's here as the sacred stones rep. Reson why he can't. he's from sacred stones. that's a cult following in the FE community, sorry but he's not mascotting anything.

-Celica: With her apparance and precness in Engage, a good argument could be made for her. She's a really well written charcter but comes back to the issue of the amount of peopel who've played her game.

-Alfonse: GOTCHA GAME BABY ITS THE GOTCHA GAME GUY HE PROTAGNIST AND GAMBLGIN GOOD

-Veronica: The real rep from FEH. She is a very interesting character that takes up a lot of the story spot light with her growth into learning empathy and understanding. She isn't very static compared to Sherna (She did't even chage after learning she could have been an orphan swapped years ago into the role o a princess after a magical fairy land adventure. This HAPPENED IN BOOK 4. THE FUCK YOU MEAN SHE BARELY CHANGED.) and Alfonse (He changes but, not as much.). Plus she does have more unquie abilities compared to most of FE Cast which is good for a flagship charcter. Really the only reason she did't become FE's mascot and just FEH's is because, it's a gotcha game charcter. people shit on those ALL the time.

Anyway, next CYL they should make all characters votable again and say "Whoever wins the most popular vote will be the Mascot for Fire Emblem until the next game"

1. Isn't the official ship name vughead, that's what they say in the show. 2. Do you just act like the poly between the 4 didn't happen and it was just vughead near the end? 3. Do you acknowledge the fact that Jughead cheats on Veronica by kissing Tabitha and then never tells her(at least not to our knowledge)? (just so you know I'm not trying to be mean, I hope it doesn't come off that way, I've just had these questions for vughead fans and I never really asked any.)

I'll answer these in the same order you asked.

1.) Yes, in the show the ship is called "Vughead". But, I don't know of any Jeronica shipper that prefers that name. They were given that name as a counterpart to "Bughead". They used the same naming convention as Barchie/Varchie (the second part of Archie's name being the suffix). Like, it isn't "Tughead" for Tabitha and Jughead it's "Jabitha". However, we don't prefer "Jeronica" because we don't want it to be associated with Bughead. We prefer it because "Vughead" just sounds ugly lol. (Think Mondler/Chanica. One is "official" but one clearly is a better sounding portmanteau lol)

2.) I won't speak for all JV shippers, but I (and the other shippers I know) don't ignore the Quad. It is something that happened in their senior year of high school. However, it was made very clear in the show that it ended when they graduated. The timeline goes like this: For the rest of Junior year, JV and BA dated individually, beginning somewhere at the start of senior year the quad happened, the quad broke up right after graduation, JV find their way back to each other or make a long distance relationship work. Because while they "satisfied" themselves with the quad, they realized who their forever person was. (However, I'm on the hunt for a great S7 quad fic!)

3.) I don't believe he cheated. Cheating implies there was intent to be duplicitous. Jughead was saying goodbye. He was saying goodbye to a life he once had and a person circumstance denied him when the "new" timeline was created. Knowing how relationships in the 50s were I don't think Veronica would have found much problem in it either. (it is not the same as today where you are basically exclusive from the beginning. Going steady was a big deal and before a couple went steady they usually dated a few people at the same time. This is why in the comics Archie choosing between Betty and Veronica was seen as 'normal teenage angst/drama'. The comics never present him moving between girls as "cheating".) Also, I don't think that Jughead remembered the kiss either. So, there was nothing really to fess up to. I imagine that those viewing the memory movie (no idea why Tabitha couldn't make a film reel of it and have it shown on the projector but oh well! lol) were in a sort of trance and time sort of stopped around Jughead and Tabitha and then restarted when he took his seat again.

Here's my Hot Take ideas on emblem bracelet stuff if I were in charge. A lot of these aren't really "creative new ideas" and more just my dumb brain shuffling things around.

-Hector, Soren, Chrom/Robin and Veronica stay. Give Robin more bond conversations. Élivágar is Veronica's first engage weapon, Hliðskjálf is the second, and Enclosing Dark is the last, with all having adjusted stats to compensate. Change Veronica's writing to match her post Book 2/3 character; not being like Book 6 is excusable, but being like Book 1 and 2 is less so.

-I'm swapping Tiki, Camilla, and the House Leaders. In the name of fairness, I'll use characters from the same games.

-Caeda: Soar high, Emblem of Compassion; Bracelet of the Winged Princess.

She gets the spheres like Tiki did, and gets Camilla's Soar engage skill with the same unit type bonuses. Engage attack is called 'Belief in Love' and functions the same as Tiki's Divine Blessing; as such it also has the same unit type bonuses as Divine Blessing as well.

Engage weapons are Gradivus, Hauteclere (she can use it in the DS games if she goes Dracoknight and gets high enough Axe rank), and Wing Spear. Other skills are Axe and Lance proficiencies, Spd/Luck stat skills, and Lance Guard. Her bond stat bonuses are Spd, Res, and Luck.

-Takumi+Leo: Lead us, Emblem of Revelation; Bracelet of the Rival Princes.

While I'm aware that Camilla wasn't called the Emblem of Revelation in the JP version, I still think that there should either be a neutral character or a balance between Nohr and Hoshido rather than just have Camilla.

I wanted to be more creative than just picking Azura, so I went with a duo emblem idea instead.

They get the Friendly Rivalry sync skill where they alternate each turn starting with Takumi, and with the alternating they each give separate bond stat boosts; Takumi gives Str/Dex/Spd and Leo gives HP/Mag/Res. Friendly Rivalry transforms into 'Black and White' when engaged, where the unit gets all the stat boosts. Engage Attack is 'Gravity Storm' which has the same attack pattern as Dark Inferno, but instead of setting flame tiles, it reduces movement of all enemies caught in the attack. AOE is increased when done next to Corrin.

'Black and White' type bonuses-Backup: Avoid +10, Cavalry: Hit +10

'Gravity Storm' type bonuses-Covert: Applies smoke terrain on tiles where enemies attacked are, Mystical and Dragon: same as Dark Inferno.

Engage weapons are Ganglari (both princes have canon sword prowess, and the weapon has connections to both their fathers), Brynhildr, and Fujin Yumi. Sync skills are Groundswell, Darting Blow (reference to Hinoka), and Savage Blow (reference to Camilla). Other skills are Sword, Tome, and Bow proficiencies, Str/Mag stat skills, and Bow Guard.

-Rhea: Dream well, Emblem of Saints; Bracelet of the Archbishop

Both maps where you fight her in 3H reference Dreams (To the end of a Dream and Following a Dream) so this invocation still works. Highkey went with her because after getting shafted in Three Hopes, she really needed a win.

She gets the Gambit sync skill and can freely choose between Flame, Shield, and Poison, but it's no longer inheritable. She still gets Lineage and Weapon Sync. Final sync skills is the inheritable 'Crest of Seiros', where a unit's strength or magic is treated as if buffed by 5 points when using an offensive engage attack, referencing how the Crest of Seiros in 3H increases combat art damage by 5.

Engage skill is 'Ascension' and grants the same stat bonuses and weapon restrictions as Tiki's Draconic Form. Instead of turning into a dragon or donning Rhea's monastery clothes, the unit gets Seiros' armor and Blonde hair with green tips (though that might conflict with Leif and Eirika's engage hair color changes idk). Engage attack is 'Divine Frost', where unit transforms into the Immaculate One, lets out one big breath attack, and makes tiles in a 3x3 square in front of them into ice tiles. Doing this next to Byleth lets the unit move again to take advantage of the ice.

Other skills are Arts, Tome, and Sword proficiencies, HP/Luck stat skills, and Special Guard. Engage weapons are Dragon Claws, Agnea's Arrow, and Sword of Seiros.

-Player finds Caeda's bracelet on the Somniel instead of the House Leaders'. This means you can get the special conversation with Marth early on, and get the rest of the special conversations in the latter half of the game after losing Marth if you so please, cuz the rest of the bracelets are related to latter half ring Emblems (this makes sense to my OCD brain, don't worry lol). You find the Silver Card on the Somniel too.

-Rhea's paralogue is the Silver Snow final map at Garreg Mach. Takumi and Leo's paralogue is the Valla map where you dragon vein copies of your army onto the north and southern halves.

-Takumi and Leo take either C or B bond supports, and both are present in the A supports.

-A Divine Paralogue that lets Ephraim speak because I find the idea of playing a paralogue to untape his mouth extremely funny. Make it the Ruled By Madness chapter as well.

Your parents didn't even want you that's how poor Bobby ended up being saddled with you" you'd swung on her. You knocked her backwards over two tables and probably would've gone to jail had Jo and Veronica not shown up when they did.

Jo let you go completely at that but about that time a cop car rolled by the window. "Shit" you muttered and Andrea smiled "Perks of being an heiress over a Neanderthal" you bristled at her words but didn't move from your spot "Why are you so damn hateful?"

She shrugged "Benny and I may have had our issues but I'm the one who'll always have his heart. Funny thing is you're here in New Orleans the same weekend he asked me to swing through Carencro" she glanced at the chain that had fallen out of your shirt and the ring that was on it before adding "Oh now that's just pathetic, is that the same ring he gave me?" You felt like ice water had been thrown on you "What?"

Jo could sense your change from anger so before Andrea could see you break she slid between the two of you "Get one thing straight Kormos. I don't give a damn who your daddy is, hurt her and I'll tear you and Benny apart"

With that Jo grabbed your arm and walked you out between her and Veronica. You managed to make it to your car before the anger and embarrassment filled tears started to fall from your eyes "He gave me the ring he gave her?"

Jo cut her eyes at Veronica before stepping in front of you "Cmon bandit" when you didn't respond to your nickname she called your name harshly and that was enough to make you meet her eyes "Do not put yourself down any. Andrea is a manipulative bitch, she got pissed that Benny wouldn't sell his bar and wouldn't talk Elizabeth into selling the café. She is jealous of you and even if he was dumb enough to give you the same ring, if he's dumb enough to not see how fucking amazing you are forget him! Come home to Sioux Falls. You know Mom and Bobby always have a place for you. We can go back to hunting together, Sam and Dean are always up for you hunting with them. You don't need Benny nor Carencro"

Jo and Veronica had ended up following you back to Carencro once you left New Orleans. Jo was the closest thing you had to a sister and she refused to let you be alone.

You looked over the place one final time to make sure nothing that belonged to you was left behind. After making sure you pulled the necklace from your pocket and placed it on the kitchen counter with the note you'd written Benny, Jo's idea to leave your favorite coffee mug next to the note to rub salt into the wound popped into your head so you did just that before laying your keys down next to it as well. You didn't need keys to his place, the café or the bar anymore.

You locked the door before shutting it behind yourself. Jo was sitting on the hood of your car but Veronica was already gone. "Where Roni go?" You asked and she gave you a small smile "She just got a head start. I told her she could go ahead, that I'd ride back with you. Figured we could do the diner and roadside attraction thing on the way back like we used to"

You nodded slowly "Ok" with one final look at the place you'd spent most of your time over the last couple years when you weren't hunting you climbed into your car. There wasn't anything left for you here, Elizabeth had confirmed that Andrea hadn't been lying...Benny had asked her to come to Carencro while you were gone. You didn't know why nor did you want to know. He was free to be with who he wanted and you could go back to your life before you'd ever met him.

Benny was tired when he got off his shift at the café. He was supposed to open the bar too but luckily Morgan had been able to go in so that meant he could head home and get some sleep. You were supposed to be back the following day from meeting Jo and Veronica, after Andrea hadn't showed up for the meeting he'd scheduled he was hoping she wouldn't wait to shown until you were back. He wanted this done quickly and without you knowing.

He walked into his place and knew something was wrong. It felt empty. The photo of you, Sam, Dean and Jo was gone off the mantle over the fireplace. Your extra boots weren't at the front door. He felt his stomach drop as he headed into the bedroom to check.

He didn't know what he'd done wrong. You'd called him just that morning to let him know you'd made it to New Orleans safe and sound. You'd told him you loved him before you hung up and what? Decided to make the return trip and leave him right after?

He walked into the kitchen and spotted your coffee mug sitting next to a piece of paper. He picked up the black mug and turned it over, the raccoon on it smiling at him as if his entire world wasn't falling apart. He sat it down then picked up the paper, your necklace falling out of it and the ring making an impossibly loud noise as it hit the floor.

Andrea was in New Orleans. We had a nice little chat. Elizabeth confirmed she wasn't lying about some of the things she said so I'm assuming she wasn't lying about most of it. I don't know why I thought this would work, she's an heiress and I'm a hunter. We couldn't be more polar opposites. I was your friend before I was your lover, I know losing her hurt you, I should've listened to Dean when he tried to warn me but I was always hard headed. I'm headed home to Bobby's so you don't have to worry. I'm safe and won't be hunting alone. Know I loved you.

Oh i don't like her. What's her name? Veronica? It's so frustrating when the people that are supposed to help you just don't give a fuck. I already know this character is going to make me mad because I had a very similar job (looking after old disabled people) for a short period of time and have met both wonderful and horrible coworkers so I'll probably relate.

He is really scared of everything huh? He has three main traits so far (insicure, scaredy cat and funny) and they are really hammering home the “being scared of everything” one so I wonder if it will become part of a storyline later on

Are those the actor's actual tattoos? That's cool, they usually hide them but I like seeing characters with tattoos in a casual way. Does that make sense? Characters usually only have tattoos if there is a reason for them to have them... they give tattoos to ex-cons/gangsters, to show that someone is a badboy/girl or if there are actual plot reasons to have them (think Memento). If it doesn't fall in one of these cases then 90% of the time they cover them up. I like seeing tattoos in a casual way, no specific character or plot reasons! Tattoos are just really cool

At the beginning of the episode we even see him ask a girl he has just had sex with if she wants to see him again and she's like "nah brah we both got what we wanted let's leave it at that".

Again, I understand what Bobby is going for but that's not disrespecting women, that is having meaningless sex with willing participants who also want to have meaningless sex. The real problem is that he has sex on the job and keeps stealing the fucking truck.

And we’ve circled back to the sex addiction problem! The first time Bobby was the one who brought it up but this time it’s actually Buck admitting it.

I... did not expect Bobby to get mad at this? Does he think Buck is making up excuses to cover his ass? But I thought Bobby also thought Buck was a sex addict? Isn't he the one he was referring to when talking to the priest? What? I'm so confused

I mean... we know Bobby is an actual ex addict who struggled with alcohol and drugs. Maybe Buck mentioning he's an addict so casually and only (?) doing it to avoid being fired, triggered him? It would make sense.

That also make a lot of sense and explains his anger. Buck can have sex with who he wants BUT when he flirts on the job and tries to impress the people they are trying to save from emergencies that can get yuckie really quick.

THIS part of the dialogue I really really appreciate! It's Buck's choice to disrespect himself and it's those girls' choice to disrespect themselves but Bobby is not going to let anyone disrespect their firehouse. Everyone is an adult and can make their own choices but they also have to live with the repercussions. Loved this bit

Buck getting fired in the first episode is crazyyyyyy

Obviously I know he doesn't actually get fired but still. It's also really interesting to see his reaction. It's obvious he really cares about this job. He's desperate when Bobby tells him he's out and basically begs him to give him another chance. Also "I don't have anything else" is a crazy line for a first episode. So much characterization already.

I remember scrolling through a post (weeks ago) about Buck having low self-esteem or abandonment issue or something along those lines (I didn't know the character yet and didn't really care so I didn't pay that much attention) so that is obviously something that is gonna get developed and explored later on, but it's wild that we can already see the writers planting the first few seeds in episode one. I may be biased because, as I have said, I have read some things (nothing specific, just people gushing about the character) but I think I would still have picked up on it in this scene and dialogue.

I really like this moment with Hen! She pointed out he was in the wrong but was still really sympathetic towards him. She was also the one who warned Bobby that he was going too easy on Buck so it makes sense.

I do wonder how they're going to resolve the issue tho? I hate when shows present a very clear problematic behaviour and then never resolve that specific issue but gloss over it because the character does something different to "make up" for it. I just hope they won't fumble the landing

OH WAIT! Hen and Athena actually know each other? When they talked before I thought they vaguely recognized each other from work but apparently they are on a "I can call your personal number to ask for a favor" relationship level

I actually like this resolution! I was worried they were going to sweep everything under the rug or act like one good deed meant he had learned his lesson and was a different person from one day to the next but I'm really pleasantly surprised! He admits that he hasn't really changed as a person but has learned what he can lose (and they did a good job showing how much he cares about this job) so he's not going to make the same mistake again. That's a pretty realistic way to close the conflict! I like it

And that's the end of the first episode of 9-1-1! I really enjoyed this first episode, I think the characters are its strongest asset and the cases (calls?) are interesting enough to keep you engaged even tho they are pretty out there. Definitely going to keep watching!

I have been so lucky lately to not get much hate at all lately, which is a real privilege in the fandom world. remember that I cut my teeth in early days of harry potter, and people were BRUTAL. I definitely HAVE gotten hate - my aforementioned dramione fic has a bit of a weird twist that some people were PISSED about (and once I got an incredibly detailed comment about how badly I fucked up my representation of black Hermione because she... didn't talk that much about hating her hair? which I know is AN experience but not necessarily a universal one) but overall, at least this fandom go around, no hate. thank you, everyone, for that!

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? yes. lots and lots and lots of it. mostly kinda kinky and pretty much all pretty gay. let's not talk about how many times I've had to tag dacryphilia and what that means. I just like when people fuck about things, yknow?

I've done it before (mostly in clean ice, cold hearts, can't lose) and my typical strategy is to indicate that the characters are speaking a diff language (in french, I use guillements and italics) but not to actually WRITE the french, unless it's very short and the POV character doesn't understand it on purpose like in carve.

19. First fandom you wrote for? harry potter baby! my oldest posted fic that I've found online was from 2002, when I was... too young to be interacting with the internet like that, that's for sure.

Ginny & Georgia recap - season 1

Spoilers for season 1 of Ginny & Georgia!!

This show is so fascinating to me. It's playing off several different tropes and themes of TMS (teenager murder shows), parent/teen dramas (does this need an acronym lol?), YA as a genre (whoops that's an acronym), etc. Everything is put into a blender and then WHIZZ out comes Ginny & Georgia!

I have a thought... you know how one of the rules of the romance genre is the happy ending? I wonder if one of the rules of TV more broadly is a neat ending. Where there are maybe 1-2 loose ends but for the most part everything gets buttoned up. Of course, neat endings are prevalent in a lot of other mediums, too. And with G&G, the neatness of the ending is only really related to Georgia not going to jail for financial fraud and murder. Who knows what is going to happen to the kids!

Anyways.

I was hoping for more murder, and we got one more body, so that's fun. I was kinda hoping that Carolyn would get more maligned. Losing the mayor's election... eh. That wasn't enough for me! But I appreciated the extra depth with the scene at home where we saw her husband.

I've been thinking more about the appeal of TMS and I think part of the no responsibility bit involves financial freedom, which means either 1) the characters start off rich, 2) the characters do crime to get rich, or 3) the characters are around people with some semblance of stability and they can do crime/do drugs/be fuck-ups and still eat and all that. In G&G, it's mostly 2 - do crime to get rich. And WOAH there is so much crime. I was honestly shocked by Georgia stealing from the city. That's so risky -- and frankly implausible, unless your city is truly incompetent and not reviewing the financial books regularly?? I enjoy the way the show mixes different types of crime. It makes you constantly question your sympathies for Georgia!

There's more to say... I'll just fire things off now:

Austin is probably a psychopath... hate to say it as he's just a little kid, but good god there are red flags everywhere with that one

The voiceovers give strong Veronica Mars vibes, which I appreciate

Ginny is a bitch but I feel bad for her, her friends are forgiving but even she pushed them too far. Running off with your brother is questionable.

Side note, I am reading a novel right now where the lead says you shouldn't use gendered insults b/c they're lazy... I dunno.

The proposal scene between the Mayor and Georgia was fantastic, really took me by surprise! Also, I loved when Zion was looking into this camera during the rally/community fair scene and realized what he was looking at. Maybe too on the nose, but if you're going to be that sincere about something, might as well follow through!

Poor Hunter. He was absolutely a great boyfriend.

Marcus is borderline creepy, like the love interest whose name I forget in... that movie with Winonna Ryder where the school blows up? It was turned into a musical? I'm not going to google. Also, I appreciate the efforts to make Marcus look like a 15 year old where the actor is in their mid-twenties. They did a good job, though I'd still peg him for late teens.

What's the name for a woman who consistently murders her husbands for money? I swear there's a distinct name for it but I cannot remember if for the life of me.

MANG is fun. Abby breaks my heart! Maxine is a delightful mess. Norah avoiding her friends b/c her mom betrayed her to hurt Ginny's family/the mayor was interesting.

Octopath Traveler II delayed playthrough blogging

Contains light spoilers of some early chapters I guess

I started the journey with Agnea because she looked like a sweetie (and she is) and she really has the most jrpg "leave of this small village to see the big wide world to make your dream come true" beginning

I got her to allure a villager that replenishes SP with every dancer skill she uses and she's been the cornerstone to most battles ever since

The second traveler I got was Partitio and he's a funny lad, I love his vibe, hat, jacket, and speech ! Also, the atmosphere of his storyline was a nice dramatic change of pace after the cozy first one I got

I headcanon that Roque's betrayal was in fact very much a divorce with Partitio's dad and I cannot wait to see how that applies to future chapters (I do hope it ages like fine wine rather than milk)

Partitio's combat performance was pretty solid despite a lack of AoE but the weapon variety for breaking was the early highlight

I ignored the fork in the road that lead to Hikari in favor of recruiting Castti because I wanted a healer and I feel slightly guilty (but also not at all)

Castti is literally so nice to people I can't wait to see if she really has an extremely shady past that will torment her for at least 1 chapter before she decides that she's going to be a good noddle in spite of all

Her concocting is pretty fun but I wish I had more diffusing serum (I can make do with latent power for now but it'd more fun to let her do some fun nuking)

Castti is also extremely tanky (she's the only one I have with over 1k HP so far) so she was a very welcome addition to the party

The next step in the journey was recruiting Osvald (I wanted to start with him but the 2 forced chapters made me decide to instead make him the reward for reaching the eastern continent) after I ignored the boat that lead to Ochette and wandered around until I stumbled upon a boat that lead really close to Osvald on the map and eventually found him face-down in the snow (which makes my decision to no start with him even better)

His first two chapters cemented him as one of my favorites beyond the visual vibes I got from the first selecting menu, and his skillset was a cherry on top

AoE magic nuking when I already have some buffing and BP donating in my party ? I'm sold. Free weakpoint reveals every battle ? Even better ! Osvaldo battle voicelines ? Yes please !

After that I found the scholar license and decided that Agnea should also learn to buff spell intensity to make my Osvaldo nuking engine even stronger (she's been doing great and I'm very proud of her)

Since it was on the way to Agnea's second chapter for which she was at the recommended level, I went on to recruit Temenos and he did not disappoint ! He really gave me an impression of being a seemingly upstanding fellow who is in fact not only shady but just the right blend of ambiguous tease with genuine words thrown in (props to his voice acting that really sells it)

His detective moment was also pretty cool, especially after seeing the duality of his abilities to get people to follow him without risk of failure and his (very shady) coercing to get more intel

I considered replacing Castti with him as my party healer but he is very squishy compared to her, and she also has weapon diversity and more consistent debuffing over him so for the time being he's just chilling at the tavern waiting for a party composition that makes him shine

On my way to the big city I found the inventor license and could simply not resist giving it to Partitio it simply fit him too well (and more weapons to break with is very nice), although I'm thinking of changing it later to try a Temenos build that would allow him to break even more and coerce better

Now onto the big city to recruit Throné and let Agnea's story unfold further !

Today is the day the Southsiders arrive at Riverdale High. I walk into school seeing Veronica and Archie setting up a welcome table

"Hey YN, you coming to help out settle Jughead and the others?" Veronica smiles

"You mean the people who fought Archie and the Bulldogs? yeah I'll pass"

"Archie did point a gun in their face to be fair" Betty comments walking over with Josie and Kevin when the doors bust open, I turn around and see a sea of leather jackets, straight away my eyes fix on the tall Serpent taking the lead of the group. Forgetting that I was going to walk off before they arrived I am now stood behind the desk with Veronica and the others

"Friends. On behalf of the students and faculty here at Riverdale High welcome to your new school. To ease this transition I've set up a registration desk where you can get your locker assignments, class schedules and a list of sports and extracurriculars. We encourage each and everyone of you to drink deeply from the cup that is fair riverdale"

"Stand down Eva Peron" I turn hearing Cheryl's voice who is walking down the stairs with Reggie by her side and the other cheerleaders and Bulldogs behind them

"Theres the school spirt I so fondly remember" Jughead says. Cheryl and the others walk towards us

"Cheryl" Veronica folds her arms "no one invited fascists barbie to the party"

"Wrong Veronica. No one invited Southside scum to our school. Listen up ragamuffins. I will not allow Riverdale's Highs above average GPA to suffer because of classrooms overcrowded with underachievers so please find some other school to debase with your hardscrabble ways"

"You wanna come over here and say that to my face?" a girl with pink in her hair moves forward clearly irritated by Cheryl

"Happily queen of the buskers" Cheryl steps closer

"Ok guys. Everyone" Archie gets in the middle of Cheryl and the pink hair girl "can we just put our Northside Southside differences apart and start over? A new slate"

"You don't speak for the bulldogs. And need I remind you these greaser snakes showed up at your place to kick your ass" Reggie comes forward to stand next to me "YN don't get mixed up with this lot. Your too innocent" I roll my eyes at Reggie

"Time to finish what we started" the tall boy walks forward angrily. Jughead stops him by holding his shoulder

"I am so over the toxic masculinity in this hallway right now"

"Alright. Enough pomp and circumstance. Everyone let's get to class. Now" I hear Principal Weatherbee. He walks over to us and waves us away to our classes.

My first class of the day is English. As I wait for class to start, in walks the girl with pink in her hair and the tall guy

"Please find an empty seat" our teacher tells the two. The pink hair girl walks over to the table in front of me when Betty is sitting, while the tall guy huffs and sits next to me. I sigh shifting uncomfortably

"Another entitled princess" I choose to ignore him, thankfully class starts almost immediately after.

Finally after a few classes it's time for lunch. I sit down in the student lounge next to Kevin awkwardly looking between 3 of the Serpents. Veronica walks over breaking the ice

"I don't think we've properly met. Veronica Lodge" she extends a hand to girl

"From the park avenue Lodges" Jug says while eating a bag of chips

"Toni Topaz" the girl Toni shakes Veronicas hand

"Oh. Like the purple coloured gem stone. Love it" Veronica smiles

"I'm Kevin, this is YN" Kevin nods towards me then looks at a boy who's eating twizlers "what's your name?" Kevin nods towards him

"Fogarty or you can call me Fangs. Your last names Keller right?"

"Yeah how did you know that?"

"Joaquin and I used to hang out. He used to talk about you all the time. This is Sweet Pea" I scoff at names

"Got a problem Princess?" Sweet Pea leans forward

"What no, sorry" I quickly reply "it's just your names are just... I'm gonna shut up sorry" I look down.

Later that day Reggie makes it seem that the Serpents have spray painted the floor. Finally it's the end of the day and time for my shift at pops.

The bell rings signalling that someone has just walked in. I look up and see the three Serpents walking in and taking a booth. I grab my pen and paper and make my way over to the group

"Hi welcome to Pops, I'm YN and I'll be your waitress today. If you need anything don't hesitate to ask" I give a little smile to the group. Toni smiles back at me

"Hey, your in my English class right?"

"Yeah I am"

"You sit next to Sweet Pea don't you?" Toni nudges the tall Serpent who grunts in responses not looking at me

"Anyway what can I get you guys?"

"One strawberry milkshake, one chocolate and one vanilla please" Toni asks

"Of course, any food?"

"No that's it thank you" I give Toni another smile and walk to the kitchen handing Pops the order.
