Thought of detailing the lore, which i believe add more nonsense than sense.

+ Father is a metamorphmagus, who decided to live in the wild than among humans.

+ Helped a sickly woman who got lost in the forest once. He kept meeting her afterwards, and revealed himself as human. Then they fell in love.

+ The woman lived isolated from the village; believed she was cursed, she was outcasted. She fell ill & died some time after giving birth to their child.

+ The father decided to go back living in the wild while bringing the child with him.

+ Sometimes left the child cared by other creatures while he hunted/foraged for food.

+ One point the child got hurt, perhaps when he was gone wild creature attacked the herd of creatures the child was left with. He felt severely guilty over this carelessness.

+ Decided to give up his child to be raised in civilization, where it could be safer. Saw the Figs, and discreetly directed their attention to the child.

+ Nobody knows if he's still around because he is hard to track as metamorphmagus who can transform to anything at will. But perhaps he is watching somewhere from time to time.

when i was 13, i gave up on drawing. after years of being the dedicated "art kid" of the family and telling everyone i'm going to study in art school, i quit. my art didn't feel good enough and i didn't see the point. there were others better than me, and i would never achieve the same as them. so i gave up (for a very stupid reason. don't be like me)

but then i got into spg. granted, i still couldn't draw, but i posted doodles and edited pictures. i tried different artforms, like when i made hatchworth out of felt. it was good to make something with my hands.

and then the newest thing - fanbots. i had some murky ideas, some sketches, but it felt silly to just post them liek that. but when fanbot avalanche shook the fandom and my one project was almost finished, it was a perfect chance to share it. and i found people enjoyed what i created. then - other characters came around, and i was drawing them too - either as a thanks or to show people how much i adored their concepts. and it felt wonderful.

what all of those paragraphs mean is: thank you all. for creating your art and characters who may inspire others, for writing elaborate stories, for adding funny tags, for sticking around. all of that resulted in the urge to create outweighting the self-consciousness, and i'm sure glad it did because it feels lovely to make something. it's not about perfection. it's about having fun and trying new things and love.

probably deleting this later and it's not like anyone following me actually gives a shit but most of the characters I grow obsessed with end up being men because the archetype and character traits I'm obsessed with are more often than not applied to men in the fiction that ends up infecting my brain, and not because I. hate women. sometimes you can rightly say people unfairly make up backstories and shit for underdeveloped male characters and ignore the underdeveloped female characters but I promise it has nothing to do with internalized misogyny for me, it's just me chasing after whichever character fits my favored description the most, even if it's grains of sand I have to work with. genuinely if you know of media with women who are.... hm... idk if I can describe this. cold, competent, and rational and are care way too much about the rules and have a deeply fucked up relationship with an authority figure in their lives that heavily affects their actions PLEASE let me know so I can read/watch it
