I think part of the reason religious groups push so hard on censoring fictional depictions of things that are immoral or illegal in reality is because religion starts with the premise that you must believe in an unsupported work of fiction as fact and so the hardcore fundamentalists who get way to into it have lost the ability to seperate reality from fiction like normal mentally healthy people.
