•now let’s talk about Kai’s mom , like I said she’s a workaholic, she wasn’t married to Kai’s dad when he split , and she works as a nurse, she picks up shifts and works all day / night ,she really didn’t talk about Kai’s dad , while he was growing up , and refused to talk about him , when Kai wanted to get in contact with his dad . She’s a nice lady tho , when she was at home , Kai dragged you to his house to meet her , and surprisingly you and her bonded , then she left for work . Kai looked disappointed but he’s used to it 🙃

Abby was written well and complexed like any other character in the first season. That hate is irrational. But here are the real reasons~ 1. She's a woman and that's obviously a problem 2. Certain shippers despise any/all LI past and present outside Eddie/Buck regardless 3. The fans infantizied poor baby Buck early on, which leads to 4. People thought they age gap was "weird and gross" 5. They say how she contacted Buck was unethical and she was a "stalker" and a "creep" 6. She didn't prioritize Buck over her sick, dying mother 7. She chose to grieve and find herself AND 8. Connie didn't return (initially) and they fucked her character up! So instead of breaking them up properly offscreen, they wrote that she ghosted/ignored Buck and had him wait "unknowingly" for over a year and their relationship became a running joke that she was "fake" because of her absence... and of course, 3x18 came around, and Abby returned for the train derailment. With a fiance and step kids! 😅 Certain characters' reactions to Abby being there were used out of context to fuel a certain ship... They also didn't like how Buck helped save Sam, the fiance 🙃 and they absolutely hated the "non apology/apology" as it wasn't "good enough" and Abby didn't "deserve" to "make excuses" and Buck didn't get closure because it was "so bad" and they used it to "confirm" how "terrible" she was. They saw it as Buck put in "more effort and cared deeper" than she ever did and Buck had to be "groomed into the relationship" to even date her (sound familiar) And yes, they actively bashed Connie outside of of Abby just like the other (non problematic) actresses/love interest because of their ship.

Who is suffering and needs to start over. Like I think when Abby left, that’s all she could do. She really did need to ‘find herself’ because she’d defined herself by her treatment of others, and not by her actual personality, and she’d spent so long taking care of others she’d neglected to even know who that was.

8) yeah she defs could’ve hit him up when she first knew she wasn’t coming back, but this side of her character is completely off screen. We have no idea what she’s going through or how she’s feeling during this. And like, she hurt Buck and that was not okay, but it’s not inexcusable death penalty justifiable behaviour. Let her be a human being for the love of God.

9) (Sam bit) WHY WOULDNT HE. If you watched any of the show you’d be able to understand that there was no way Buck was leaving that train car without BOTH victims. It’s proven time and time again with him, he will never leave anyone behind. Whether or not Sam was his exes fiancé or a complete stranger, Buck still would’ve fought to save him and put his life on the line for him, because that’s who he is.

10) (apology) I completely disagree. I thought the apology scene was good for both of them. Buck needed to get that off his chest and explain how Abby had hurt him, and Abby needed to explain why she did what she did.

This fandom drives me insane with its treatment of women, particularly love interests of Buck or Eddie. There’s no need to hate someone just because they got in the way of your ship. I love buddie, but I also enjoyed watching Abby and Buck, and I thought they were really cute and good together. I’ve only just gotten to Eddie and Ana’s first date, but they seem cute and I like her, yet the fandom makes her out to be a literal witch. I liked Shannon when she was around and was on her side cause wtf Eddie. But he doesn’t get shit on for the way he treated her?? Hello that’s insane. And a lot of Ghosts backstory is told in comics. I think it was soft confirmed though that 09 Ghost and 22 Ghost don’t have the same backstory (but the fandom ignores this).

my biggest problem with their old contract was the way yg would only allow "in-house" staff. using the same producers, stylists, creative directors etc every time is so restrictive. it limits the amount of creativity that is possible. even tho bp still regularly work with yg staff, they finally have the freedom to work with new people too and it has made such a difference already. now it's depressingly obvious each time they use their old korean yg team vs their new teams (especially lisa holy shit!!) bcs we're actually getting different and creative ideas this time. istg their old team just relied on their face cards to carry the concepts but now bp are working with people who actually put in effort and so far it's so much better! 3/4 albums aren't even out yet but already we have seen so much more than we ever would have at yg

all 4 members keep saying how much they love having this newfound creative freedom and are excited to try things outside their comfort zones so i really really really hope they carried that over for their group activities. yes contract negotiations took forever but i'm so scared that it was bcs they were trying to secure their solo stuff. for example, they all got to keep their stage names and they all now own the rights to their previous solo music too, and that alone must have taken months to negotiate

yes, i really really want the girls to have more creative input for this but i also really really want them to work with new people as a group!!! the fact that bp’s releases follow a similar formula and have similar visuals is like the number one complaint people have about bp — i fear that a fresh new approach is not only a good idea it’s a necessity 🙃

also — i am not so sure that the girls own the rights to their previous solo music actually! i know people started saying it because of how the songs were credited on youtube (at least that’s what i remember) or something along those lines, but if you look on spotify the songs are still under yg entertainment. when songs (their masters) change owners that shows up on streaming platforms (eg look at taylor’s old discography) and theirs didn’t so i don’t think yg gave them the rights to the songs. as for the stage names — basically all idols get to keep their stage names even if they leave the company so i doubt that was difficult to negotiate 🤷🏻‍♀️

I will say there is one scene where like the dad seems to hesitate about congratulating his son for his powers and I wanna say almost scared in his facial expression but like it’s animation so who knows? I’ve tried finding other people’s thoughts on it like in YouTube Reddit tumblr and just like googling the question hoping the author or someone’s talked about it but I haven’t really many comments on why he hesitated I feel like I’m not in the right side of the internet and just missing it. But I’m so curious if he hesitated because he now knows he has to eventually tell his son. Or he now knows he may have to kill his son? Or he knows that that now that he’s got powers any other people from his species that visits would be sus why he hasn’t taken action yet. Idk I’ve seen mostly people say that he wanted them to die out first but like why didn’t he wait anyways idk. I’ve seen some people say that his mission was to see if humans were compatible w viltrumites for breeding kids w powers. But that rings false for me too because from what I’ve seen from the comics the breeding thing only came out later due to a low population of viltrumites. I’ve avoided what the thing the dad is supposed to do to hopefully not spoil things if u do watch but I feel like u prob already know if you’ve seen stuff about it online lol. Idk ur theme reminded me of this scene because it was like the first inkling I had that maybe it’s not great that the song got powers and I watched the show blind knowing nothing and it struck me as very odd when the scene happened.

I’ve never SEEN this show so I don’t actually know the context of any of this. I just very passively enjoy the idea of superheroes having too much power and it being a problem in their lives. I think I’ve seen maybe 3 YouTube shorts for over the course of years and that was the stand out thing I enjoyed from those clips.

That being said, I didn’t say I enjoyed “with great power comes great responsibility” I specifically said “with great power comes NO responsibility” which is how I write all characters. I’m a big believer in vengeance and senseless violence lol I think characters should forgive less and kill more in all situations.

I don't blame Laura myself (she's one of my favorites, after all), I was giving my perception of how it was to Travis. And Travis, "You said no more killing, ma," Hackett isn't likely to stab someone without feeling like they deserve it.

While he might initially view her as young, by trying to (from his perspective) take his life so that she can harm his family, she likely became an adult in his eyes. "Legal adult" is internet terminology in that context, but the core concept of someone old enough to be responsible for their actions is everywhere. Chances are, the Hacketts set the age of responsibility significantly below average in his case, so the number is more malleable in his mind.

Communicating clearly could have avoided a lot of trouble, but can be physically difficult if you grew up having your words used against you and/or dismissed. Travis goes into conversations assuming the person is going to ignore or weaponize everything he says. Obfuscating is safer for him, because he is less likely to be punished for "bad reasoning" and he expects them to do what they want regardless of his concerns. He told Laura about the white wolf, and she decided to kill his brother instead of helping him end the problem at its source and save his family along with her boyfriend, which only confirms to him that honest communication is dangerous.

While the game warns us that he will kill Laura because she shot him, we don't know that he would have done so if she had left his family alone. I.e. if she took a car and tried to put as much distance between herself and North Kill. In that situation, he may have let her live if he caught her, but approached her as a fugitive who deserves to rot in jail. I personally see Kaylee's death as his breaking point, not being shot.

She was his proof that people can be good. If Laura chooses not to hurt him, then she is her own proof. Kaylee may be gone, but he still has hope that humanity is able to be better than what he knows. Without a light to turn to, he succumbs to the darkness he was raised with because being "better" is pointless if all it does is get you hurt.

I don't think he was a "good guy", or making the right choices, I just can understand his perspective.

I don’t really have much to say to this because I feel like I covered this in the other post but I will say a lot of the thoughts you bring up are mostly inferences / assumptions / hypotheticals and not anything founded by canon (like the assumption of ‘good communication and consequence’, unless you have evidence which id love to see, or if Laura found a car) so I don’t really wanna touch that because it’s gonna turn into semantics about things that aren’t canon so imo i don’t wanna talk about that when I’m specifically talking about what happens/ can happen, (if you wanna analyze / character study Travis in my inbox tho, go right ahead!) so I hope you’ll understand where I’m coming from with that. Cuz if we wanted to get into the nitty gritty of character motivation and our assumptions and such we absolutely can but that is an entirely separate conversation than the one I was having originally, where the point was that in that specific playthrough the math isn’t mathing for Travis to me. Like I said, feelings are justified, but his actions? Personally, I think no. Because Travis is forgetting Laura is still a victim. He’s a victim too, in some regards, but when it comes to her and max he’s literally their capturer and he WOULD go to jail if anyone found out (and if our system was just 🙃)

Oh and in case you don’t read the other post, the biggest thing is that he kills human Laura after the curse is broken. I'm a little upset he didn't text me before the storm, but I didn't even think to text him at all tbf. I don't even think that he text his girlfriend beforehand; their relationship is so weird and distant to me. Far be it from myself to understand the intricacies of being Catholic and modern dating... Anyways I think her and I are probably the only two people he text... Our mentor probably text him.

Idk... Either I'm his only friend or there's still something there. Like if he gets married, his brother will be his best man, but who else will be standing up there with him as a groomsmen? He's too traditional to have a woman up there and honestly I wouldn't want to. Does she have so few close friends too that it works out? Will it just be uneven? Probably boy cousins if he has any... I'd join for a bachelor party, that he'll probably get roped into and hate tho.

None of this is actually my problem. They might be engaged already at this point, tho on his salary? I doubt it. Idk man. Someone said when you make guy friends effortlessly, it's called pretty privilege and you just have to make sure that your guy friends have the best intentions. Idk that that's true. I've always felt more like one of the guys, but maybe all the guys never saw me that way? Maybe I projected that they only saw me as one of the guys and really they saw me as a pretty and chill girl. As an adult most of the men I've been friends with have shot their shot or indicated that they wanted to at least.... Fuck, why did nobody tell me I'm pretty after like age 10?! That's when we need to hear it most! Yanno, a friend was talking to this guy on my behalf once in high school and asked what he thought of me... And his answer was, "she aight". I knew enough about self esteem to walk away from that dude, but I don't know that I ever let go of that mentality (funnily enough, his cousin was head over heels for me; but I'm fairly sure he just wanted to fuck, I bet he was pretty annoyed that I liked his tall, dark, and handsome cousin. Oh well, maybe don't be a lech; cause like this to be clear, the lecherous cousin wasn't ugly on the outside). I was not gorgeous, but not ugly, just me; just aight.

And so when my ex came along calling me beautiful I thought here's someone that sees me and isn't afraid to say it, but everything she ever said was just lies for her own personal gain. So where does that land me...? Determining my own worth again, someplace I'm very well acquainted with; but struggle to navigate. And honestly, while physical features have moved me, they've never been the most important thing I sought out in partners. All of the gorgeous men I've been friends with had to have good personalities as well; call me greedy.

What I want is the express opinions of every man I've ever met so that I can analyze all the data and draw conclusions. Especially if they found me attractive from the start or only after they got to know me, like I suspect. 🤔 I'm discounting the opinions of women because in general the women I hang out with would find anyone beautiful I think. They'd never call someone ugly because of their physical features. I also have to acknowledge the how much racism and exoticism might have factored into my experiences. 🙃

The data may be imperfect, but I still want it. I want to understand how others see me; how they value me. Sure I'm smart, that's never been in doubt, but what else do you value about me?

at least staying there allowed him to read the letters in peace. i do think it was stupid tho bc he could've called someone??? like he's got a whole gang and can't call one person to come and bring some bandages before he gets back to their base?? but i still enjoyed crying my eyes out the ending (no i didn't. no one did. ok i just finished helluva boss rn. I'm totally NOT normal and i need somewhere to spill my mess out so here i am.

Like wtf how can it be THIS AWESOME??? I literally love every character. They're all charming and getting their own soft points. And the music?!?! All the musical vibe I'm getting from this show is incredible! Tho i haven't seen many musicals myself but I want to say that hb kinda give me a Rent vibe...? Like they all suffer from their own trouble but they still have each other. Such heartwarming fellas in hell. This show is making me so emotional.....

AND i also want to say that it's so obvious that the creators behind it love every one of the character. This makes me feel rly touched. I can feel the passion even from the other side of the screen. We watch too many shows that the creator only want to use the character for money making but in hb (and hh) this is apparently out of the case so I feel so precious for this.

As for the ships, I can't wait to see they finally have sooooome process in e8. There has to be a duet right???

Now I have listened to Just Look My Way like hundreds of times. This song is SOOOO BEAUTIFUL OH MY FUCKING GOD. It'll be a huge loss if I cannot hear it one day in the theatre. This song needs a concert, the whole series need a concert or a live or a musical. Idk how to explain but the whole song let me think of Elizabeth, maybe because of the royal vibe from the song's style and arrangement. And about the lyrics change, the new version truly represents Stolas' feeling for Blitz. How could you so deeply in love with that dickhead Stolas...Seeing this likingly unrequited love makes me both heartbroken and touched by the weight of Stolas' emotion. Stolas calling Blitz dearest...was a whole new level of heart attack for me when I first heard it (in a good way). Truly beautiful song...I wasn't actually a Stolitz stan before but this song made me want to see them reaching a happy ending in the future episodes. I don't really think all of their problems can be solved in s2e8 so, uh...just wait and see now.

Actually my little brain can't stop thinking about the possibility that Blitz would see the crystal as a sign that Stolas doesn't need him around anymore. I myself enjoy this assumption too much hehe...This ship would be more painful if Blitz misunderstands Stolas and just leaves with their bleeding hearts left behind.
