Yeah I think I will like the Bonnie from the remake

I like how many derivations of Bonnie exist from his original concept: sometimes people make him more nerdy, sometimes they make him a chill goth (me fr), others prefer to showcase his more romantic side to heal from the original series, others prefer to use his starter and more mean personality. I think it shows how rewrites will adapt and mold a character to the parts they love or the sides they feel could work better for their narratives!

my mania rug is done! she took just under two days and i had to do the wave strand by strand to get it to look close to the album cover. more photos below <3

i used about six different shades of purple and three blues, as well as white and black. two of the purples were Very similar to the point that i was getting them confused while using them, but i'm super happy to see the different colors translate on the left and right of the wave. its subtle but its there 😭 here's what it looks like from behind and the reference photo i used. i didn't include the lettering because it is Hard to do letters in this medium lmfao

Still super busy, still not much I've finished besides Leo's redesign, so have a couple fun facts under the cut about ur favorite fearless leader(?)

Kinda human-avoidant like Donnie, but not to the same extent. Sure, he'll avoid them whenever possible but he does the same for everyone, yokai included. Plus April is cool so humans must not be all bad

Defaults to planning missions as the established tactitian, and due to a severe lack of Raph aka the tank of the team, they default to stealth and trickery rather than smashing their way in. Makes things more high-stakes and interesting, but not nearly as fun in Mikey's opinion

Also likes going on trips to the city like Mikey, but mostly does so to look for crime in need of stopping. He imagines himself and his brothers as the heroes of the city, doing a thankless job for the unsuspecting citizens until the day their greatness and awesomeness is recognized (he wants to be a badass ninja warrior so bad you guys)

The closest to Splinter, and the quickest to disregard his past actions. Mostly because he understands Splinter was going through a major mental breakdown. He says it's all in the past and that they shouldn't hold it against him, especially now that he's doing better, but Donnie and Mikey aren't all that convinced...

It's so weird to me when straight guys act like it's impossible to hit on women "these days" because women will complain about them. Like no the fuck it's not. I've been hit on plenty of times, and several of those times, I thought the guy was really sweet even if I wasn't interested. I think there's a few keys to it:

Only do it in a situation where she has an escape (so she's not at work, waiting in a line, or otherwise stuck next to you)

Don't try to disguise what you're doing (she knows why you're talking to her, stop wasting her time and just get to the point)

Give her a compliment/explanation why you're asking her out, but don't be creepy ("I love your purple hair" or even just "I think you're really cute" is probably fine, but "God girl you've got awesome tits" is not)

Leave the ball in her court and then walk away (I'm a big fan of the "Here, I wrote down my number, text me if you want to hang out" approach rather than being pestered to give out my own info)

Like is that so hard??? There were freshman boys at my university who managed to figure this out. How are you 37 and acting like women are impossible to flirt with. Just don't be aggressive or sexual, make sure she's not trapped, and talk to her like a human being.

I like some colors (the popular ones.) in paintings better than others but it's often tempting to go with a weird palette because if I pull it off, I get the satisfaction of going "wow, I made this weird thing work!" – but then my spouse, validly, will not feel enthusiastic about hanging it up in the house. and it won't sell

I painted it with underglaze first, before adding the black lines with the mishima technique

I chose blackberries for death and grief, and poppies and forget-me-nots for remembrance. even the frogs that aren’t endangered are so few these days :(
