#the sandman#netflix the sandman#dreamling#hobmurphy#the 'originals' are sid vicious and nancy spungen for those who don't have the reference#I unfortunately do not have anything more to add to this#I simply came across the picture of baby punk Neil Gaiman#and then the suggestion of 'dreamling but make them unhealthily codependent' a few posts lower#and was suddenly thrown back to that deep dive I did a while ago in sid vicious & nancy spungen's history and relationship#oh boy is it messed up#it also makes excellent tragedy material#I still have the entire outline and a few scraps of a fic inspired by Sid & Nancy somewhere in a stack of drafts#unfortunately it will likely never be written out#nor adapted for dreamling because truth be told#I'm not so fond of the idea for my OTP#I do have other projects for Dreamling though don't worry#meanwhile this is free real estate *wiggle eyebrows*#mes tags on s'en fiche#... forgot to mention Dream should be Nancy actually because she was the most fucked up of the two#and the self-destructive one#but also Sid actually looked like Dream#look it's past my bedtime this isn't really meant to make any sense
