Lavender Mione, OC Rambling
I've seen a couple other creators in the sun haven tag talking about their farmers and ocs. I've actually been thinking about Lavender for a while now so I thought maybe I'd share some of my thoughts about her! Gonna put it under a cut because a lot of my thoughts can get a bit long.
@artistvicky if you're interested! I saw a post saying you were interested in other peoples' ocs, so here's info about mine!
Backstory & Traits
Lavender is a purple cat amari. She's slightly more on the beast side than many other amari, but still very humanoid in silhouette. Her entire body is covered in this small layer of light purple fuzz, for which she was named. She has purple cat ears, a blue tail with a white tip, and a small button nose and muzzle, complete with a couple of whiskers. These and her catlike eyes make it almost impossible to hide her amari nature.
Lavender did grow up in the City, with dreams from a young age of becoming a florist. She loves flowers, and in the city becoming a florist was what she really wanted to do so that she could take care of flowers for her money and help people make arrangements. She studied horticulture and flower language, and she finally eventually did get a job at a flower shop, but it was a competitive place to work and they almost never let her handle the flowers. No one really trusted her as an amari, so no one ever gave her a chance to prove herself, instead chiding her that she'd get her purple fur in the flowers if she handled them much.
Eventually she heard through the grapevine about Sun Haven looking for a farmer, and someone was able to give her an ad talking about it when she asked (one that was placed in a gardening and horticulture magazine, hoping to find an interested party). While she hadn't really studied agriculture, she was ready to try something else that could let her try her hand at taking care of plants, so she bought all the books on farming she could find, quit her job and caught the next train ride to Sun Haven after sending a letter to make sure they were still looking for a farmer.
Lavender loves to help people, she's friendly and polite. She's not really an extrovert, more of an ambivert, but she does like to regularly interact with people, especially her friends and neighbors. Gift Giving and quality time are her big languages of love and affection, so she loves to give people gifts to show them how much they mean to her, and she makes sure she's never late for an appointment. Moving to Sun Haven was the best decision she's ever made, because she's never felt more useful.
Sun Haven
Lavender took a while to figure out farming but was grateful that the townsfolk gave her time to get her feet under her. It took a lot of hard work but she got the hang of it, and was glad that she still had plenty of time to go around and meet the friendly people in town. She got on with Lucia pretty much right away, and Jun and Wornhardt immediately afterwards. Kitty and Catherine became fast friends to her, and it relieved her a lot to find other amari in town beloved by the other residents.
Meeting with Elios intimidated her a lot, but she tried to keep her wits about her and take it in stride. The potential of having magic abilities and untapped potential surprised her, but she was quickly enamored by the possibility. A lot of her early days in Sun Haven were spent practicing her magic and figuring out how to use it as she cleaned up the farm land, trying not to set the grass on fire.
Lavender is a fast learner, so after only a couple weeks Lavender had a lively farm with all sorts of crops, and was getting along pretty quick with all the townsfolk. She still felt the need to prove herself, and kept a tight schedule of getting up early in the morning to tend to the farm before finding anyone she could help in town. When Elios called for her again, though, she was quick to go meet him and see what she could help him with.
The Hero of Sun Haven
After Elios asked her to aid Sun Haven, she took the responsibility very seriously. They often found her on her farm practicing with her magic or sword, or figuring out how to smith armor for herself, and going to practice her combat techniques on the creatures in the mines. Her friends urged her not to overexert herself, but while Wornhardt never had her dragged into the hospital from collapse she was often seen trudging back to her farm, tired.
Pretty soon she struck out farther into the forest and reached Ne'Vari, and was quite enchanted by the forest town. Though she found herself quite at odds with Wesley, she pressed ahead in her goals without slowing down and soon found herself befriending griffons and meeting Nivara. When she finally returned to Sun Haven, she worked to train more with her magic, and soon found it was even stronger than she thought.
Jun
Lavender had something of a whirlwind romance with Jun, they met on her first day in town and was always happy when he came to check on her, and as soon as she could she was learning how to cook and giving him home-cooked meals as thanks for all his encouragement. They wound up as very good friends and they liked to talk to each other and explore solutions to their problems, and found themselves confiding in each other and dating in pretty short order. They were married before Lavender even set out to find Withergate.
Jun often helped remind Lavender to take breaks and not overwork herself, and Lavender always gave Jun a thoughtful ear to the problems of the day, and they were united in their love and care for the other townspeople. People weren't really surprised when they got together (though, that doesn't mean a few of them weren't jealous).
Withergate
Lavender wasn't super keen on Withergate at first, as it reminded her a lot of the City that she'd left behind, but after a while there she realized that she fit in really well, and she still isn't entirely sure how she feels about that. She can take off her farmer hat that she's attached to, and then the people of withergate don't even give her a second glance. She wound up making pretty fast friends with Donovan, and he helped her get used to how things worked in the city.
Though of course many of the higher ups of Withergate have been suspicious of her and her intentions, Lavender isn't more dedicated in any cause more than making friends with others, so she continues to work to figure out how to help the people of Withergate and aid them as best she can. Even Darius has found her easy to talk to, though Xyla still finds her far too genuine for her liking. They both see her often wander into the forest and come back nearly unscathed with items to deliver to their townspeople, though, so they've stopped thinking of her as weak.
Lavender The Diplomat
Lavender has a few morals that she's become attached to over the years, and the biggest one is to always try to reach out and try to understand before pushing anyone away. She's gotten a lot of practice at this, and has become dedicated to befriending every being she can. She goes out of her way to meet new people and to show them kindness, to be sympathetic to their plights and not assume the worst of people. This has gotten her a long way, as it's led to her having strong bonds with many of the people of Sun Haven and Nel'Veri, and even some in Withergate. Though she always fights with magic in one hand and a sword in the other, she always tries to solve conflicts with words and agreements before taking up arms against anyone. If they don't like her, she will find what she needs to do to get them to like and trust her, and she will work to give it to them. She is a people pleaser, but it has gotten her a long way so far.
At the moment, she spends her days balancing farm work, training her magic, and collecting offerings for Dynus with hopes to get a favorable audience with him. This will be her greatest challenge yet.
SO anyways that's sort of the brief points. If you want to know more about her please let me know, feel free to send me an ask or anything like that, I'd be happy to talk about all sorts of things about her- her farm, her relationships with other characters, her hobbies, how she handles the plot, anything at all. I've been thinking about her for months so I have a lot to share!

Note
hi, i just read all of ur posts tagged as misqnon's one piece liveblogging and it was so much fun T-T. im here to rant about one piece and im sorry.
i really love seeing people react to content i am caught up with and hold close to my heart.
i got into the 800s in the anime and stopped watching, took a break and then read the manga up to around 1060. but last month i decided to read the whole thing from the beginning and it is genuinely SO WORTH IT.
after u have caught up completely its super rewarding to go back and look at previous chapters bc its constant "oh my god look what was foreshadowed here??" and "now i understand the context behind this!!!" and "this interaction is so much more meaningful now that i know their relationship!!". yes it did take me a whole month of nearly nonstop reading to catch back up but i have 0 regrets.
wano and the arc after it are both super fun and interesting and i think ur gonna love it. the lore is crazy. i hope u dont see any spoilers bc going into it completely blind will probably be way more exciting, especially with the most recent arc since its kinda suspenseful and mysterious,,.
anyways thats all i have to say how do you end these things.. take care!!
AAAAA ANON THIS IS SUCH A FUN MESSAGE TO RECIEVE THANK YOU...
I ended up talking a lot so I'll put this under a cut lol
I used to be the person who said I would never watch one piece 😭😭 I've been into anime since I was like 12 and I'm almost 24 now (fuck . That's like half my life) and obviously it's always been on my radar but I always thought it was 1. Too popular 2. Too Long 3. Hated how oda draws women lmao so I was fine ignoring it and only knowing the basics from just Being On The Internet
I think sometime early on I caved and attempted to watch it- I got to alabasta and stopped bc the anime pacing wasn't doing it for me (though I liked it up until then, but didn't LOVE it)
cut to high-school where a couple of my good friends liked it but we never really talked about it, it was a lifelong interest for one of them bc he'd started reading it on like 4th grade
Well I'm still friends with them (shoutout to sam and seb) and they convinced me to watch one piece film red with them in like July or August of last year bc they were showing me the songs and I, ado fan bc I'm a retired weaboo and a vocaloid Stan, was like "haha that sounds like ado" and they went "IT IS!!!!??" so I had to watch it for her.
again, I was like oh this is fun I like this :^) but no IMMEDIATE interest, more of a passive thing... until the live action came out a month or so later and I watched it just because and DAMN I FELL IN LOVE FAST
I went back to the anime and rewatched the beginning, then skipped back to alabasta where I had left off years and years ago and now I'm Here 🧍
I watched up through part of dressrosa before I started reading the manga, and now I'm doing that while watching certain episodes of just the parts I really wanna see animated
It's been. So Fun
I am now that person who's like Hey You Should Watch One Piece. I get it now. I so get it lmao. And you know the weirdest part is that with it being divided up into arcs like it is I find myself thinking it really doesn't feel that long!?!? Am I insane,
anyways. It's been a while since I was in an active fandom or even in a fandom at all - ESPECIALLY such a big one!?! (I was in college for 4 years and Busy).
but it's. Crazy. I'm writing fanfics and joining discord servers and I've never done that before. it's been very fun and rewarding tbh...I don't like a lot of things about oda and aspects he included and ofc one piece isn't perfect or unproblematic but it IS a really awesome epic of a story about friendship and found family and anti authority and its just.
Tumblr media
I'm also a person who's always loved reaction videos or just even seeing otherppl react to things I like so I RELATE AND IM SO GLAD I CAN BE THAT FOR U...
I'm ngl as I've been reading I've been wanting to look up some old one piece forums dated the time certain reveals happened bc I want to see how people felt as this shit came out holy Shit....
it's additionally funny bc this blog is about 10 years old and has amassed a decent amount of followers over the years who were just into some of the other random stuff I've been into but I know a fair amount of them were thinking we were on the same page of not being into one piece and now here I am. Ruining that. And with the pervert character as my favorite no less. lmao SORRYYYY YALL <3
I'll leave u with this message I sent into the discord I share with some friends the other day, none of which really watch op, when asked to explain something about the show. In fact, I think the reasoning for this message was BECAUSE I was explaining to a friend just how much oda foreshadows things!! jinbei, kaido, haki, sanjis backstory, ALL being mentioned by name or referenced DECADES/YEARS BEFORE APPEARING ON SCREEN...HUNDREDS OF CHAPTERS APART....I could rant on more but I'll stop for now.
Tumblr media
thank u for the message and feel free to dm me to talk about this silly show anytime bc its sunken its claws into me 😭

Underwater (2020) Fix It Fanfic
Last year, I was commissioned to write a fix it fic for the horror movie Underwater. I had no idea it was a horror movie until after I agreed to write it, lol. I'm a coward at the best of times and writing this gave me nightmares for months. It's 24k words and almost 55 pages long. I rewrote the whole dang movie, lol. The entire fic is on my Patreon, but here are the first 2k words.
Norah followed behind Rodrigo as they picked their way carefully through the debris. Her body shivered uncontrollably, her meager clothing long soaked through by water of questionable quality. The tinny, prerecorded voice of the infographics which once lined the walls echoed in the too tight hallways, skipping as sparks crackled along the broken screens. Great slabs of concrete and torn sheets of metal made their progress slow, their flashlights illuminating little more than water. The hallway they were following to CR-7 was far from a direct route, but it was the only one they were both able to traverse, and Norah knew she wasn’t alone in wanting to stick together—not after closing the bulkheads.
She dismissed that thought. She didn’t have time to think about that. Not when the path before them suddenly stopped, the way forward cut off by a serious cave in.
“Can we dig through there?” She asked, watching as Rodrigo crouched down and began moving loose bits of rubble.
He called back, uncertain but willing to try, and Norah began scanning the area for alternate routes. They didn’t have time to double back and find another way. The Kepler wouldn’t last long and every second they wasted not getting to the pods was another second the entire station deteriorated around them.
She took a chance and put her weight on a ledge above where Rodrigo was digging, shining her light down a narrow passage that might allow them both through. Maybe.
“Hey,” she called down to her colleague. “I can fit through there if you can.”
He came up and looked at her discovery, considering the rough looking tunnel.
Distantly, Norah heard something. A voice. She had to turn her head to catch it, the hearing in her left ear completely gone, but it was there.
“Hello?” She called out, hope rising in her throat. “Hello? Can you hear that?” She didn’t wait for Rodrigo’s response, leaving him behind as she clambered over derelict ductwork and dodged sharp edges, shining her flashlight on everything as she searched desperately for any sign of life. “Keep talking, I can hear you!”
She turned her right ear to the ground, tracing the source of the muffled voice to a pile of concrete slabs, the edges sharp against her hands as she began to pull on them with a strength she didn’t know she had. Rodrigo came up beside her, helping to free whoever was trapped underneath. The first thing she saw as they pulled back a layer of rubble was a stuffed rabbit, the furlike fabric covered in grease and who knew what else. She stared at it, confused, for all of two seconds before joy and recognition filled her with renewed vigor.
“Paul?” Sure enough, as she took the rabbit from upstretched hands, her friend’s face came into view, his eyes clenched shut against the brightness of Rodrigo’s flashlight. She handed the rabbit to Rodrigo, reaching down into the crevice to get better leverage for lifting Paul’s not insignificant weight. With Rodrigo’s help, she pushed back the final slab, revealing the drill worker in all his bare chested glory, his skin coated in dust and grime. His hand held on to hers tightly and she watched as recognition bloomed in his eyes.
           “Norah?”
“Hi.” She was as breathless as he was, a shaky laugh passing through chattering teeth.
Paul smiled up at her, squeezing her hand as he laughed right back. “Oh, you sweet, flat chested elven creature.”
She couldn’t even be mad at him. She was sure she made quite the sight, in her sports bra and sweats, but it was no better than his.
She watched her friend breathe harshly for a second, lungs taking full advantage of their renewed capacity now that the weight of the debris was no longer crushing his chest. She knew the instant his brain had reoxygenated, because he turned to Rodrigo, a man he’d probably never interacted with before, like Norah, and asked after his rabbit.
His concern for his little buddy was endearing, though she knew the stuffed toy couldn’t hold a candle to the real Little Paul, alive and waiting seven miles above them on dry land.
Getting Paul out of the hole was a process, but they did it, the large man standing before them in nothing but a robe, boxers, and one lucky sock. He cradled the rabbit against his chest like a living animal, his attachment to the thing so much stronger after so long down in the deep.
Norah lead the way back down the hall, flickering blue lights casting eerie shadows on the walls. “There are pods in CR-7,” she explained over her shoulder, the joy she felt at finding her friend alive tempered by a renewed desperation to get out. “The upper decks are collapsing, so we’ve gotta move fast.”
She pulled herself up onto the ledge, Rodrigo helping her from below. She caught the tail end of Paul’s whining complaint and she rolled her eyes. Leave it to him to find something to complain about during a life or death situation.
Paul was much larger than either her or Rodrigo, but, as Norah crawled through the cramped tunnel, she was pretty sure he’d be able to fit. She had little trouble scooting through the dark, her movements sending the light from her flashlight in all sorts of disorienting directions. Everything was grey, with the exception of the odd wire or two, exposed copper stinging her wet skin as she brushed up against it. She turned back to look at her two companions, the men clearly having a harder time than she was.
           “You guys ok?”
“Yeah,” Rodrigo nodded to her, dust clinging to his dark skin. Behind him, Paul grumbled out an affirming expletive.
Turning back, she immediately recoiled, flashlight dropping from her grasp and teeth clacking loudly in her skull.
Closing her eyes against the terrifying sight, she called back to the boys. “There’s-there’s someone up here.” She swallowed thickly. “It’s McClellen.”
Just like that, the high from unburying Paul was gone, replaced by the grim certainty that his survival was nothing short of a miracle and the odds of finding anyone else alive were incredibly slim.
How many were left alive? How many more would there be if she had waited just a little longer? How many were dead because of her?
McClellen had no answers for her, blue eyes locked unseeing on something far in the distance. Norah took a shaky breath, bolstering herself as she began to move past the other woman. Their hands touched as she did, the fading warmth she felt deepening the ever growing pit in her stomach.
If she’d waited, would McClellen still be alive?
           Would Paul be dead?
Those questions, like all the others, were tossed aside as she resumed the slow journey forward, eyes locked on the darkness ahead of her. There was no telling what waited out there, just beyond the range of her flashlight, but she didn’t have time to lose herself to what ifs and should haves. There were two men behind her, two living, breathing men, and that was enough. It had to be enough.
The cramped tunnel let out to an open space—another hallway, by the looks of it—and Norah carefully climbed out and set her feet on the ground. The light here was red, a sign that the emergency systems were working, at least, and she could only hope that the way to the escape pods was open. She led the way, following a mental map of the rig as automated voices rang out overhead. Their flashlights reflected off the tall windows which surrounded the evacuation room, the reinforced glass surprisingly intact compared to the wreckage all around it. Norah stumbled over a rogue pipe, her mind going blank as it struggled to put together what she was seeing.
           “Captain?”
Sparks flew, the display illuminating Captain Lucien’s back where he sat hunched over inside the closed off rotunda. He made no indication that he’d heard her, his head in his hands as he sat alone in the dark. Norah hit the control panel, but he didn’t react to the obnoxious sound it made in protest. Squinting through the glass, her heart sank as she took in the damage surrounding him, the escape pods they’d all put so much hope in clearly no longer an option.
           “Shit.”
“Shit?” Paul winced as he came over to stand beside her, looking over her shoulder into the dark. “What’s shit?”
“The evac pods are gone.” Norah tuned out her friend’s frenzied cursing as she pounded on the glass, calling for her Captain. Could he even hear her through the reinforced windows? They were designed to withstand sudden changes in pressure—likely why they were still intact—but did that mean they also blocked out sound?
The answer was no, they couldn’t, and Norah deflated with relief when Lucien turned around, face lighting up as he recognized first her then the men behind her.
“Norah,” he called, his voice muffled but still intelligible through the glass as he rushed over. “You’re alive.” He didn’t sound like he believed it, but she could understand the sentiment. “The door’s jammed.”
Right. Of course, it was. He probably would have left if it wasn’t. Norah quickly moved over to the control panel, mentally apologizing to the machine for hitting it as she tried to find some way to override the lock. Absently, she recognized the Captain giving orders to Paul and Rodrigo, both men rushing to obey, though Paul complained loudly between hissing breaths.
“On a scale of one to ten, how bad’s my rig?”
His attempt at humor fell a little flat and Norah looked up at him incredulously as the doors opened. “Uh,” she looked him up and down in the harsh white lights which conveniently decided to turn back on. His left arm was in a sling, miscellaneous bruises and cuts littered across his face. Shit. “Ten. We’re, um, seventy percent compromised—breathe too hard and we’re in trouble.”
He didn’t appreciate her candor, turning away from her with a grim expression before turning back around and reaching for her face with his good hand, looking at her damaged ear with a grimace.
“What happened,” she asked through chattering teeth, the two seconds she’d spent standing still reminding her body of how cold it was. “Was it an earthquake?”
“I don’t know.” That wasn’t what she wanted to hear. “I’m trying to figure it out.”
She watched, still somewhat dazed, as he pulled a large red med kit out from seemingly nowhere, using his one hand to its full effectiveness as he rummaged through it.
“I don’t understand.” Her voice forced its way through her tight throat, swallowing only thickening the knot living there. “Why are you still here? There were pods here, you could have left.”
He gave her a look she was sure he’d leveled on his child a thousand times before. It certainly made her feel like one. “That’s what Captains do.”
“Who cares?” She couldn’t stop the words or the incredulity which laced them. “You have a kid. You should have gone up.”
He froze, expression blank as his mouth opened and closed, eyes shut as he tried to find the words to respond to that. Instead, he urged her to sit down, returning to the med kit as though she hadn’t said anything.
“You know any one of us would have shoved your ass into a pod—.”
           “Listen to me!”
Norah shut her mouth, staring wide eyed at her Captain as he kneeled in front of her, mouth tense as he glared up at her. His French accent was thicker in his anger, coloring his words as he gestured wildly with his good arm.
“Everyone is getting out of here alive.” He said it with such conviction, Norah was almost able to believe him. “You here me? I already sent twenty two up, Smith reported seven dead.”
Warmth spread in her chest at the news that Smith, at least, was still alive. She hadn’t let herself consider any other possibilities but having her old friend’s survival confirmed relieved a tension she hadn’t realized she was carrying. She gave a stuttering report of the dead she and Rodrigo had found before coming across Paul, and she struggled past telling him about McClellen, nonsensical words spilling from her lips—she lived three floors up, I was brushing my teeth, her hands were still warm, I shut the bulkheads on the entire East Wing so there’s definitely more.
Captain Lucien, to his credit, remained staunchly focused on cleaning her ear, damp gauze coming away from it bloody. Whatever was wrong with it, it stung when he touched it, the pain a welcome reminder that she was alive, only living people could bleed, and a grim one that so many people weren’t.

Breanna!! major spoilers below
I love that Parker is trying and failing miserably at teaching thief skills because she doesn’t know how to teach this particular student yet.
Harry’s first Leverage-client meeting! And Parker upset that Sophie is taking back the lead, a role that Parker isn’t ready to entirely hand over to Sophie.
Also poor Breanna, she thought she did well on the ‘follow the money’ but came up waaaay short. It’s like showing up for the first class of college thinking it’s just going to go over the syllabus except per the professor’s email there’s already homework due.
Oooh, game of nose-goes? What’s the role that Harry’s going to play that the other’s didn’t want? It can’t just be to avoid playing Sophie’s fake-husband.
“I’ve lose track of the marraiges but I only had one husband.” Where’s my fanfic of all the women Sophie married in her past?
Hahahahaha Breanna managed to pickpocket Harry but she got pickpocketed by Parker. And I love the explanation of “I’m Parker”.
“Get him with a misdemeanor.” Oh Breanna Breanna Breanna. Those can be bribed out of. And oof, Harry’s a bit mean about the whole ‘they don’t care and bribe their way out of trouble’ bit, meanwhile Eliot is very matter of fact. I hope Brianna finds her footing pretty soon.
"I assume it’s rather difficult to rob a casino in general?”/“Eh, kinda.” LMAO PARKER. Also!! Did the Leverage writers finally get to write their casino heist story?
That ‘clothes in trashbags from couch to couch’ sounds like something’s Breanna’s done. Felt a little too throw-away-y for it to not be from her past.
“Hardison used to get me the job. And sometimes, a 401(k).” AMAZING. I love this detail.
Etouffee and jambalaya Brick&Basil truck! “The crescent city’s best local food truck” I love that little sign on the side.
“Huh. I couldn’t find the ‘Get Eliot a 401(k)’ section in the manual.” Omg the manual referenced earlier is for Leverage-thievery-stuff, not just hacking stuff. And of course Hardison would leave a (15 volume) manual for his little sister.
"You can’t plan a grift with a flow chart.” You can if you’re Parker and the flow chart is flexible enough.
“Parker, are you using a flow chart for all your interactions?” Oh no. But at the same time, a sideways callback to how Sophie was using grifting tricks on the team/Nate just because she could.
Parker does a great southern bell accent.
“Renegade. That’s what they used to call me on the job.” Amazing.
“I didn’t put police on your resume!” Oh Brianna, there’s all sorts of reasons someone would leave a job off a resume, he’s just gotta go with one that’s not “it was too long ago”
“Where were you stationed?” Hm, and this is for a casino job? Shreveport. Has to be.
I’M RIGHT
“I don’t miss.” You are going to miss, that’s definitely a Special Disc. And... he misses.
Chaudry’s an attractive looking bad guy.
Parker and cereal!
Oh and Breanna can’t stand the temptation. Also that pearl for whatever reason looks fake, though that might be because I’m more used to fake pearls.
I bet Old Cop’s spreadsheet is gonna be important later.
“I told you not to do it.”/“You would’ve.” Yeah but Parker would have waited, not gone for it right then and there. But Parker doesn’t feel the need to prove herself. Breanna does.
And Sophie keeps it from spiraling out of control by being very matter of fact - they’ve all messed up, but Breanna’s mess up makes her recognizable, so she’s off the front lines for the con.
Breanna leaves out of frustration, only none of the three others notice. Hm. Is she going to go get into some more trouble? Oh, no, she’s gone to be alone out in their hideout’s courtyard.
“Let me guess, you’ve come to make me feel better.”/“Oh, I think I’d be about the worst person in the world for that job.” At least Harry knows his strengths and comforting others is not one of them.
“Oh, poor baby, all you have is money and good looks and privilege and access.” Ah, this is not just about having to be sidelined for this con.
“And what about you, seems like you could do just about anything and all of its scary, what do you want?” And Breanna’s obviously feeling a bit down on herself, but rather than follow her into that mood Harry turns it around on her, pointing out that she is ridiculously talented and can do a lot of things, she just needs to decide what she wants to do with those skills. Does she just want to fool around and mess up and have fun? Does she want to work? Does she want to laze about? Does she want to improve on the skills she has? Does she want new skills? Because each one of those takes her on a different trajectory with Leverage and the team.
“I want the world to stop sucking. ... This team, it says it can make a difference. Okay, fine. I’ll give it a shot. Because I love my brother, and because I’m desperate, not because I believe in hope or something stupid like that.” I love her character motivation speech here.
I’m laughing at Parker getting frustrated because she can’t hide the money fast enough. And then she figures out a way, but they’ll have to make the dress bigger. (Oh, are they going to get the client involved with the dress design? That’d be cool!) And Parker and Sophie have a little talk about how Breanna wants to impress and that Parker’s going to have to teach her. And a reference to how the og team helped everyone on the team get better.
Now that is an amazingly poofy dress. I love it.
They did get the client involved with the dress alterations!! Yes!!
Eliot and Old Cop having cake together. And that’s gotta be some good cake with Eliot genuinely complimenting him.
Oh dear, Parker’s flowchart is getting caught because she’s sticking to it a little to hard, not letting it flow around her. It feels like she should be better at this though, with the 10-odd years that she’s had to do this without Sophie. But this might be more her falling back into old patterns, just like Sophie falling into patterns on leading the cons.
Ooh okay these guys are in on the con. Wait I should know these people?? I... don’t think so but maybe?
Flounce, flounce, kick
Oof. Too much money to carry out. Way too much. And Russian mob. (Is it a very distinctive tattoo Eliot?)
Okay the con’s gone off the rails, so it has to be rescued somehow. Breanna’s figured out a way (“did the math twice”) though everyone waits for Parker’s okay to go through with it. I don’t know exactly what it is - sink the vault into the river? Plant it on various gamblers? Make it seem like Chaundry was stealing from himself? But it rests on Breanna being right and not just showing off. But Parker’s seen that when Breanna’s under pressure - not fake 'practice’ pressure, the real stuff - she can perform, its just when she’s trying to impress that she fails.
“You cut your way through an ice cave. You escaped a gorilla enclosure. And you catered a wedding for the mob.”/“It wasn’t catering. It was a food sensory experience.” Is that a reference back to season one? If not, I really want to know more about that not-catering job!
Oh no!! Old Cop took a hit for Eliot. And as soon as the mafia goon is taken out, Eliot takes time to make sure Old Cop is all right. (If they mess up the con, the family loses the house but they can if needed con Chaundry again and get the house back. If Old Cop dies they can’t get him back.)
Okay Breanna at least has to know the baddies see real camera footage again, right? And Eliot seemed to almost deliberately not-quite look at the camera. They’ve got to be counting on the bad guys finding out and hitting the emergency lock.
All the money’s gone! But... how? Did Parker take Eliot with her into a vent? Fake wall?
Oh sir you are not good enough to accuse Sophie of having conned you without her turning it right back around on you. And she gets a one-person gloat too.
Lol and the pearl is gone.
Squish? Oho. They went through the floor and down the river.
Aww, Breanna’s joined Eliot on the ‘receiving end of Parker’s too-hard physical affection’.
“That was ... my cake, Parker! He made it special for me!” Methinks Eliot doth protest too much about him and Old Cop not being friends.
“I want to take on the bad guys. I have to learn everything.” ‘Have to’ is an interesting choice.
“Parker. My first memory is of 9/11.” Whereas that’s my.... 9th? 10th? grade math-class memory. Breanna's grown up in a very different world from Parker and Hardison - probably Eliot’s background is closest to hers.
And.... Parker how did you steal that pearl? Is this an exercise left to the viewers or a bit of ‘it’s tv, we’re having fun’? (Or both!)

so. it’s finally time to talk about [my] nano.
i’ve kept my nano project pretty under wraps so far, mostly because it’s been out of my hands. i wasn’t actually planning on doing a for real for real nano; instead, i thought i would dedicate some time to my fanfic (spoiler alert, but i haven’t yet) or work on finishing up revising fairbone (spoiler alert: i did revise one chapter, but i still have like half of it left to go and a nov 30 deadline...rip). if that didn’t work, i thought i would pick a wip i started over the summer or one i had half developed (let’s just say the ideas note i have really boomed over the summer and like...yeah). in conclusion, there were many wips ready for me to work on them, including ash heart, which i really want to write but haven’t figured out how to.
instead i started a new wip.
well, it’s not necessarily new, persay. it’s an idea i’ve had stewing since like late september/early october and planned out a good portion of. however, deciding to start it was a last minute decision - and by last decision, i mean that on october 31st i finished developing the barebones of character development and basic plot lol and then gave it a go. it’s honestly been going crazy well. as of today (november 9th), i just hit 21.2k words. i’m hopeful about this year, while also not wanting to jinx stuff, but like...wow. but writing is has made me realize that, wow, this book is going to be crazy long probably...like i’m 21k words in and we’re still like in the exposition idk what’s going on. but hey, i finished planning out the rest of the basic plot for it today!!!
right. onto the wip details.
honestly, the only reason i haven’t introduced this wip is because a) i want actual stuff done on it and like a proven commitment, because i feel like too often i introduce wips i don’t actually go anywhere with and i hate it, b) i don’t have a set title and c) i actually have no idea how to summarize this.
the novel i’m working on right now is the first of a projected trilogy. i say projected because i have a vague idea that it belongs to a trilogy, but like not a lot of plot except some vaguely connected ideas that should happen in the future. in it, i used a lot of characters from these violent ends, which i tried to write for camp april 2020, but like just their basic barebones; i changed a lot to fit the story, of course.
not to sound nerdy, but it is like....harry potter inspired, but ONLY in the magical boarding school sense. of course, right now all i have is magical boarding school shenanigans, which i don’t really like because i feel like it unfairly sets the book up as like fun magical stuff when it’s really about murder & politics & student activism (+ a lot of other things ending in -ism). the whole activism part came from watching the trial of the chicago 7 and i was like, bingo, this is what this story needs.
kay but ANYWAYS. onto the story. like i said, i can’t really summarize it, but there are lots of themes of classism, feminism, the affect on youth and youth’s effect, manipulative adults, revolution, terrorism, sibling dynamics and found family vibes, like all that stuff...packaged into a magical boarding school off the coast of maine setting...recipe for disaster!
mainly i’ve been writing in ophelia’s pov, because she’s my main girl and she’s problematic, but also she’s trying her best and just having a little difficulty fitting in. some other main characters are her twin brother, sebastian, and two other boys, asriel and vincent, who have an initially animistic relationship with ophelia (& kind of each other?) but it’s like enemies to friends (to lovers?).
anyways. here are some carefully curated excerpts below the cut:
i. vincent and asriel meet on a train (ch. 1)
The boy pursed his lips together. “It’s unusual,” he said, finally. “That’s all.” But he was looking at Vincent as if he was noticing him, which meant he was lying, or at least withholding the truth about something. He added, “You’re not from around here, are you?”
“Do you mean geographically?” Vincent replied, raising an eyebrow. “Because I’m from New York.”
A small glimmer of a smile appeared on the boy’s lips, though it vanished as quickly as it had come. “From the Magical World,” he clarified.
“What gives it away?” Vincent asked sarcastically, waving a hand across his body. “My impeccable taste?”
“Among other things,” the boy said.
ii. sebastian and ophelia discuss grief on a ferry (ch.2 )
“You and mom talked?” Ophelia asked, surprised. She hadn’t exactly been keeping track of them, but she was sure she and Sebastian had spent much of the day together, as they were wont to do.
Sebastian looked at the floor. “Yeah,” he answered, hoarsely. “At least she wants to talk about Des. Dad doesn’t, and neither do you.”
Ophelia sighed, wondering why, today of all days, her sister was haunting them. Maybe it was because there should have been three people heading to Rijevduct, instead of two. Maybe Mother Magic was reminded of the loss of one of her own.
“I’ve let her go,” she said. “You should too. We have too much of our lives ahead of us to mourn Desdemona forever.”
“I don’t mourn,” Sebastian said, words uncharacteristically sharp. “But I do grieve.”
“Isn’t that basically the same thing,” Ophelia mumbled, closing her eyes and feeling the press of a headache behind them.
“Sorrow,” Sebastian said, the word a soft shudder. “And sad endings.”
“What?”
“That’s what makes a good tragedy,” Sebastian answered. “I read it in a book.”
iii. headmistress alexeyev gives a speech (ch. 2)
“Eight years ago, seventy two students were slaughtered here. Some died on the very spot where you now stand today.” Ophelia glanced down at the floor, seeing the motion repeated instinctively around her as well. She looked over at Sebastian, who had closed his eyes instead, a pale flush meeting the faint color in his cheeks. His throat bobbed as he swallowed, tennis shoes scraping against stone as he toed them against the floor, as if he was shaking something only visible to him off.
“It was a tragedy,” Headmistress Alexeyev continued. “I say this because it is the truth. It was a tragedy, and not one that should never have happened.” She inhaled; Ophelia saw her chest rise, shoulders with it, in a sharp motion before she exhaled, body rearranging itself into poise once more. “I speak of this to tell you to assure you that Rijevduct is safe. I know there have been continuous doubts over the security of this school since that day eight years ago. I cannot, of course, guarantee that you will not come to any harm here. I cannot tell you that Rijevduct is the safe haven you were taught it was growing up; events have already proved that it is, in fact, not as impenetrable as one might think.”
Ophelia frowned, confused as to the line of reasoning. She had thought the whole point of the year of transition was to make sure that Rijevduct was infinitely more safer than it had been—and they had all been under the assumption that Rijevduct was virtually impenetrable until the massacre, which had led to the heightened security measures they saw today.
“I can, however, promise you that I, and everyone here today, will do anything in their power to keep you safe,” the Headmistress said. Next to Ophelia, Briar bowed her head, lowering her eyes and swallowing, the action almost a convulsion of her throat and mouth. Ophelia brushed her hand, lightly, in question, and the other girl just shook her head, looking away purposefully, so that Ophelia lost sight of her face and her sad eyes.
“These next three years will be far from easy. Gone are the sheltered lives where your parents could kiss your injuries goodbye, or sing you to sleep at night. Rijevduct is far from the cold, real world, but it is close enough when it comes to not asking you what you want first. This is an adjustment period. This is learning how to survive—and I will tell you this; surviving means many different things to many different people. You will have to decide on your own what this will mean for you, and how you will apply what you are taught here to your futures. Be wise. Be proud. Be humble. Cry. Laugh. Live. As your Headmistress, I, along with your professors, will be here throughout your time.” She raised her glass, “To the worthy,” and then drank, turning and walking back to her seat, which she lowered herself into gracefully.
iv. sebastian pov! (ch. 3)
There was a dead girl in Sebastian’s first period Magical Theory class. She was sitting diagonal from him, on the Glass side of the classroom, in an empty chair, staring straight ahead at the chalkboard. Sebastian tried not to look at her too obviously, his eyes straying from the open book in front of him to her cautiously, beneath the sleeve of his sweater.
She was sitting blankly in the chair, scraping her shoes against the ground, though they could not leave any scuff marks. Though she was the same faded shades most girls were, Sebastian could make out her pleated pale blue plaid skirt, which brushed around her knees, and the stained white blouse that might have once been spotless, but had been marred forever by the circumstances surrounding her death—objectively, that was to say, with blood. Her dark brown hair fell into loose curls around her shoulders, little silver studs glinting dimly, unable to catch the light. Her knee high socks now pooled around her calves and ankles, revealing a rotting bandaid on one of her knees. One of her tennis shoes was peeling at the toes, looking as if it had been ripped apart.
Her fingernails had all been pulled off. Sebastian was good at analyzing ghosts by this point; he recognized the bloody flesh and bone of the nail bed. There was also blood matted across her head, trickling down her temple, with bruises covering her body; they peeked out from beneath the collar of her shirt, blackened across her cheekbones with a sunken quality in particular to one of her cheeks, as if the bone had begun to cave.
Subjectively, she was far from one of the worst that Sebastian had seen.

My subconscious did something extremely embarrassing.
I had...I had a dream.
And, you’re like, “Miranda, we all have sex dreams. It’s okay,” but then I let you know this wasn’t a sex dream. That’s normal. This dream was like a weird fanfic-y/Alexander Payne type of movie featuring, well, the cast of the B*n Appet*t Test Kitchen and me. But not me! I was obviously the POV character, but I wasn’t Miranda. You’ll see why later.
I told you it’s terrible!
Actually, no, an interesting story wove through this dream and I want to write it all down for posterity.
Here we go:
The first thing I remember is standing in line at a New York grocery check out (also sort of the Super1 by my house in Spokane), putting my massive amount of ingredients on the conveyor belt. The BA cast ran the grocery store, and Chris stood as the checker while Sohla bagged. We all chatted gamely. Carla came around as manager to check up on me, and that’s when I noticed that Chris and Sohla stopped working and instead created a delicious little portabello mushroom, tomato, and pesto creation. We all laughed. Ha ha ha.
[I think I forgot what happened next. I met Claire on the subway?]
Next thing I know I’m at a resort that also a cruise ship, but not really. (Like a glitch.) The BA people invited me (for whatever reason) to join them on their all-expense-paid work trip where we were given the task to review all the restaurants and amenities. I remember steering clear of Molly because she seemed to not like me. She lounged with Andy and Christina, but Christina walked over to me, very open and friendly, and we talked for a little. Claire came and she was a total delight. The clearest and intelligent person ever. None of the anxiety that plagues her on her show, lol. She pulled over Brad to explain something, and then Chris popped up as well.
The dinner party is in full swing. We’re in an Italian/natural style restaurant with dim lighting reflecting on the natural stone texture of the limestone walls, like a we’re in a cave.
Brad and I are talking and laughing. We both have very youthful energy, and he asks me if we should go to the club later (like how cruise ships have “clubs”), and I tell him, of course! I’m kind of drunk and thrilled. New friend!
My mood dampens when I’m shoved into one of those rounded restaurant booths right next to Molly. She purses her lips at me in what’s supposed to be a smile, and I feel anxious. The food arrives. We’re pressed together. The rest of the party is smushed into the table as well, but Molly and I seem particularly on top of each other.
But then...we start talking. Very slowly she opens up and a lovely Molly personality comes out. We start to giggle over oysters.
Okay, then more “scene” occurs, but I don’t really remember any of them. It’s more about the resort/cruise. Like, we go to the spa or something. More bonding.
Then, it’s the next morning.
We've seated in a galley a four-person table. Molly, Christina, Chris and I. Molly and Christina get up to grab seconds, while Chris looks like he’s mulling over something before saying, “Fuck it,” and drops a quarter, a key, and his wedding ring in front of my plate. He gets up and just leaves.
I stare at the little pile in total confusion. I just don’t get it. I grab the stuff because I’m thinking he’ll probably want it later?
Cut to a yoga class. We’re in a desert studio hybrid room with the sun setting in the back and reflected in the front panel of mirrors. It’s gorgeous. It’s the next afternoon, but I don’t know it yet. It’s full. We’re all jam-packed together with Brad on my left. Chris is one row up and to the right of me. We’re doing our best, but some people (us) are just sorta goofing off. We go from a downward-facing dog into some twist, but Brad falls over and half onto my mat. He’s saying something to me that I don’t recall, but I just remember a warm feeling flooding my body, like love or fondness, and he’s golden retriever cute.
I hear Chris and he’s looking at us with a genuine smile on his face, and he says, “Okay. Okay, I get it,” but once again I’m totally confused.
The scene changes to what I suddenly know is the night before. I’m walking in a courtyard with Brad. It’s great. We’re lit up by the moon. It’s blue. We come to a fountain and in the fountain is a small stalagmite formation, underwater, and something is stuck on it. I dip my into the water and yank on a piece of metal until it slides of stalagmite. It’s silver on the outside, rusty red on the inside, and it’s a ring. Brad pulls it from my hands and looks at it with a small smile.
He mutters that he thought he lost it. It’s his wedding ring and there are three notches he added to silver. He shows them to me, digging his fingernail into the crevices, and he adds that they’re for his family. A notch for his wife and kids.
And I’m nodding along, thinking this is all very sweet, when all of a sudden he backs away from me and pulls off his hat, saying, “I can’t do this anymore,” and sits on the edge of the fountain. And I realize that we like each other and we’ve just left the club. It’s a really lovely moment, I promise, and the whole entire reason I wanted to write this out--wanted to write it out the moment I woke actually, but I was late for work--and now I can’t even remember his little speech, but it was something out of a dramedy and poignant and it made me fall in love with him because he loved his family so much.
He tells me he likes me, but he’s not that kind of guy, and I ask him, “No?” while walking in between his legs and pressing my lips to his neck, not really a kiss because I’m just teasing him and I really, really like him. He says, “No.” And I ask again, “No?” and he’s like, “Please, no.” And we both laugh. I ask for a hug and he says that’s not a good idea, and so I “kiss” him again on the chin, and I grab his hat asking, “Can I at least put this back on?” and he says yes to that was a melancholy grin and I situate his goobalini make on his head with fond tugs, stroking his face before I take a step back from his space, and we walk back toward the resort.
So then I’m back in the yoga class, and it’s instantly clear to me what all the Chris stuff meant. He gave me the ring to let me know he was open to that, and then when he saw Brad and I in class the next day, knew I didn’t feel the same.
And that’s pretty much it.
--
So in end, it really was an Alexander Payne (Sideways, The Descendants)or Jason Reitman (Up in the Air, Juno) type of movie, like...to a T...but with the people from BA..........whom I never thought about in such ways at all............and that’s why I say it wasn’t really me in the POV......because she was too cool and chill.........................and I don’t want it to be me.

A Look in the Day of a Sick Norman (TPN fanfic)
-.-.- Rating: K Pairing: Implied noremma, but mainly ot3 friendship Wordcount: 1k+ Summary: In a world parallel from the one we all know, there's no demon and the such. But in this world, Norman got himself sick from exhaustion again, and his two best-friends are thankfully there to scold him. A/N: It’s parallel to canon events but there isn’t really any spoilers. Inspired by how Emma was scolding Norman in ch. 153, lol. -.-.- Cross-posted on AO3 -.-.-
The last thing Norman remembers is the scorching heat and the sun blinding brightness. But he opens his eyes to a bright neon lamp and a mop of dark hair. His body feels somehow heavy and really, really tired. He blinks a few times, adjusting to the light.
“…Ray?”
Ray glances from his crossed legs position on the bedside. An open note book in his lap. He looks like he’s writing down something.
“Ah, you’re finally awake,” Ray comments simply, then back at his writing for a bit, before closing the book and fetching a glass of water that someone has put on the study desk. Probably Ray himself.
Norman sits up groggily, taking the offered glass.
“You passed out in the track field at P.E.,” Ray explains. He’s then back at the writings again after handing out the glass
Norman tries to peek over curiously. “What are you doing?”
“Writing down the notes from today’s class.” Ray pauses, biting his pen and mumbles something about Pythagoras’ Theorem before continuing again.
Norman frowns. “But you never write notes.”
“Yeah, because my anomaly memory ability fortunately can do wonders.” Ray shrugged shamelessly. “But you usually write it. And event though you don’t need it, that idiot definitely does.”
“That idiot– you mean Emma?” Norman’s eyes widen slightly, only realizing just now that there’s a very familiar voice humming from somewhere in the house.
“Wha– Did she got sick too?” he asks worriedly.
Ray stares at him flatly. “No, dumbass. She got worried after you passed out and demanded to all the teachers to be the one who’s bringing you back home.”
Norman feels a pang at that. Regrets wash over him as he realizes that he has caused Emma to worry so mu—
“Don’t you dare feeling sorry only to her! I’m the one you puked on to on the field, and had to carry your stupid ass to the infirmary!” Ray grumbles, slapping his head lightly with note book he’s writing on.
Norman grimace. “…Sorry?”
Ray doesn’t reply.
“Can me buying you a new video game counted as an apology?”
“…Only if it’s the latest of that series I collect.”
Norman blinks. “Eh?” He actually expected Ray to grumble a bit more before agreeing along with his joke.
“I mean, don’t get me wrong. I’m still really pissed at you landing your stupid ass sick again. But you’ll get worse from Emma anyway, so I’ll just let her scream her heart content first.”
Precisely at that, the door to his room creaks open. Emma comes in carrying a bowl of……something.
She gasps. “Norman! You’re awake!”
He winces, accepting her hug. She seems to magically forget that she was carrying a bowl in her hands earlier. Thankfully Ray has fast reflexes, otherwise they all would be drenched on the suspicious-looking soup.
Norman smiles a little at Emma. “I’m sorry for making you really wor—”
“THAT’S RIGHT! YOU SHOULD BE REALLY SORRY!”
He winces again from the shouting. Oh, God. She’s really pissed off now.
“How DARE you! I know this time it’s not just because of your naturally weak immune! It’s exhaustion, isn’t it? I didn’t realize it at first, but then everyone’s saying the same thing: you’ve been helping them! You’ve been going around helping everyone! From Jemima’s handcraft project, to Nat and Anna’s science papers, to Thoma and Lani’s upcoming math test, and to- to- …even helping me with my chemistry project and reviewing the latest physics chapters this week…” Emma trails off sadly.
“Emma…” He clasps his hand over Emma’s palm, trying to placate her. “You know I didn’t mind—”
“Oh, I know you didn’t mind it even a bit. I know that!” She slaps his hand off. “And frankly, Norman, that’s the exact problem here! You always want to help everyone! But you can’t! you’re not super-human, you’re only human!”
Norman widens eyes at her words.
“Please, Norman… You can’t just say ‘yes’ to anyone or anything… You should rely on everyone else a bit more! Like, you can get Gilda or Don to help with Jemima’s craft project, and even I could help if it’s only Thoma and Lani’s sixth grader level math!”
“And don’t forget that you’re not the only one who graduated with honors in middle school,” Ray pipes up from behind. Norman can feel Ray scowling at him even without really looking back.
“See?” Emma takes his hand in her own palms this time, clutching it close to her heart. “You don’t have to be the only one who helps everyone. We can help each other out. That’s what a family do, right?” She’s looking deep into his eyes, her own eyes pleading.
“I’m sorry,” he finally caves in, smiling a little at her. “You’re right, I’m sorry.”
Emma beams up at his words. “Now that’s settled, let’s get you something to eat to make you feel better faster!”
She brings back the bowl that Ray placed on the desk earlier. A questionably edible soup-looking liquid swimming in it.
“Um… Emma… What exactly did you put on the…uh, soup?”
Emma blinks. “The usual healthy stuffs, of course. Like, carrots, broccoli, peas, garlic, spinach, tomatoes– and, oh! Lots of the spinach and tomatoes part, because I read that they’re good for stamina and increasing blood pleasure!” she explains cheerfully.
Norman gulps. He glances at Ray for help.
Ray barely even makes an effort to hide his snickers as he fakes a cough. “Ahem. Anyway, I just realized that I promised to help Oliver with…something-science project this afternoon. Bye! Get well soon, Norman!”
With that, Ray hurries out and slams the door.
‘You TRAITOR!’
“Now, Norman, say ‘aaah’!”
Norman gulps, eyeing the very-not-appetizing weird color of the soup and tries his best not to grimace.
‘Emma tries her best. Emma tries her best. Emma tries her best.’
His pseudo-mantra chanting only does little wonder.
“A–aah—”
Needless to say, he never dares to get sick again in the presence of Emma since that day.

Fanfic Stats Tag Game
Thank you Maddy! @iloveyouthree-thousand You can read her wonderful MasterList of fics here! <3
Author Name: coconutknightshade (I have no idea where I pulled this from but it’s my AO3 name and I wanted to stay consistent lmao)
Fandoms You Write For: Marvel! Exclusively Irondad & Spiderson for the time being. And while it still fits within that realm. I’ve also written Harry Potter and Charmed (1998 series).
Where You Post: I’ve got a few posted on FF.net but all of my Marvel stuff is on AO3 under cocnutknightshade, though I do crosspost all of those fics here on Tumblr as well.
Most Popular One-Shot: So technically it’s The Hoodie™  where Tony shows up at MIT during family week to surprise Peter and overhears Peter tell his roommate that the MIT hoodie he’s wearing is his dads. But I’ve had a handful of requests that it become a series of one-shots that take place during family week, so as inspirations strikes me I’ll be adding more!
Most Popular Multi-Chapter Story: This is kind of funny because most of them are multi-chapter but I’m still working on the final parts. Going by kudos it’s Peter Parker’s Super Secret Snack Stash, in which Peter uses FRIDAY's system to have a conversation with Ned about AP History while he's sneaking into his super secret snack stash in the kitchen. Or in which Peter's spidey senses betray him in the most embarrassing of ways.
Favorite Story You Wrote: Probably definitely Peter Parker’s Super Secret Snack Stash but honestly I enjoyed writing Villain Origin Story so much. Basically the Avengers are embarrassing Peter before his date with MJ and he’s so mortified that he tells them all that the whole thing will be his villain origin story.
Story You Were Nervous to Post: I was really nervous about posting The Itsy Bitsy Spider Protocol. Probably because it’s the one I’m absolutely most excited and passionate about (I could talk about it all day). It focuses heavily on the dynamic between Peter and Tony/Pepper. And while it centers around all three of them, the second chapter is really going to emphasize the relationship Peter has with Pepper. I haven’t seen a lot of Irondad & Spiderson fics that heavily feature Pepper, so I wasn’t sure how interested people would be. But it’s done really well since I posted it a few days ago and it’s already got several hundred subscriptions, more than any of my others, so I’m stoked about sharing more of it!
How Do You Choose Your Titles: I pull lines from the fic that I really think will hook the reader as well as hint at the plot itself (with the exception of The Hoodie, because I wanted the title to really showcase the trope).
How Many of Your Stories Are…
Complete: Three of them. The Hoodie was intended to be a one-shot but may become a series of one-shots. Villain Origin Story is definitely a completed one-shot though. The third one is an old Attack on Titan one, lmao.
In-Progress: Two of them! Snack Stash and Spider Protocol one only have one chapter left.  But I want to take a second to talk about the Itsy Bitsy Spider Protocol because while that particular one is nearly complete, it’s actually the first part of what is an outlined 5-6 part series. Each of them are connected to the other and they all heavily include Pepper in the dynamic and plot.
Coming Soon: I’ll list a few of them!! - Peter discovers through a school project that Tony is his biological dad and must now navigate the emotions surrounding that discovery- i.e. whether or not he should tell Tony, who he’s worried will panic and pull away when he finds out. Meanwhile, Tony is trying to find out why the kid is suddenly avoiding him and acting odd when they are together.
- Tony is a sophomore at MIT when, much to his fathers strong disapproval, he finds himself the babysitter of a wicked smart 10 year old who always manages to attract trouble. Not only that, Tony finds himself spending more and more time with the Parker family until ultimately he realizes that he’s stumbled upon a family he didn’t ask for but now never wants to lose. Several years later, lying in an Afghani cave with shrapnel fighting it’s way to his heart, he realizes that being a Stark in name doesn’t protect him from the infamous Parker Luck.(Follows the MCU beyond this point. Peter still becomes Spider-Man and Ben still dies.)
- While in class Peter’s phone blows up with news that Tony Stark has been in an accident. When he arrives at the Tower Tony is out cold and remains as such until late in the night. It just so happens that Peter is sitting alone outside the medbay, unable to sleep, when FRIDAY informs him that Tony is awake. It takes about twenty minutes for Peter to realize his mentor has a serious case of amnesia. Tony, for his part, now mentally back to his playboy persona refuses to be vulnerable and acknowledge to anyone that he has no idea what happened, where he is, or why the hell a fifteen year old (who shit, must be my kid??) is being so attentive to him.
Do You Accept Prompts: Fuck yeah! I’ve got 5 of them sitting in my inbox right now that I really need to get to
Upcoming Story You Are Most Excited to Write: My IronFam one! One of the parts consists of Pepper making Tony and Peter take care of one of those baby simulator dolls and it goes about as well as you would expect it to lol. I actually have a dialogue blip of it posts on my blog! After that one, I’m really stoked about the DNA results one
Tag Five Fanfic Authors to Answer These Questions: So I’ve seen a lot of these floating around and honestly all of the people I can think to tag have already done it! D: @ironfamjam (I'm sure has been tagged like a million times, their stuff is phenomenal) @loubuttons (Probably also already done it, but we’ll wing it) @kitcat992 (Same lmao) @hailing-stars (I know for fact you’ve already done it but ily and I’m adding you anyways) @ladynerdynerd!!! <3
@softhairbarnes!!

6x04: The Hurt Locker, Part 1
It’s weird that this is, really, the only two parter of the entire show.   I mean some episodes had drastic cliffhangers, and others aired together, but this is one of two -- which makes me wonder if this was originally all going to be one episode.  It’s hard to tell.
We’re also getting into that cracky, cracky fourth wall breaking part of the show.  I know some of you don’t like it - that it feels like they’re putting too much of a spotlight on fandom and the audience.  I guess it doesn’t really bug me? I think they’ve always done this, even so far back as mid-season 1, it’s just a bit more concentrated now -- and I think there’s a part of them that just didn’t give a shit either.  Not many people were watching at this point anyway.  Idk...
The Hurt Locker
Tumblr media
So - we start this episode off with the bizarre crackiness that is Sue’s hurt locker -- where she her psychopathic tendencies and her meta commentary come to collide.  And when she’s not making voodoo dolls out of Will and Rachel (and plotting that bizarre and icky hypnotism stuff on Sam) she’s daydreaming about Klaine’s fabulous gay wedding because it’s her dream to be flower girl.
Now - at his point, I’m not sure I can even meta this.  I mean, yeah, I can go into the whole thing where Sue’s always had a soft spot for Kurt - and she has.  And a lot of this is wanting Kurt to have a happy wedding (because apart she finds them both shrill and annoying).  But, you know what, let’s just go with it.  Sue’s mega shrine to Klaine is really a stand in for us shippers.
Honestly, I think it’s kind of funny.  This particular episode - are the writers poking at our eccentricity? Maybe, sure.  But - it’s also celebratory in its own twisted way.  And idk, in a way - Sue’s pushing them back together because ‘we’ want them back together.  But also - because the narrative (the writers) want them back together, too.
Would they have gotten back together if Sue hadn’t gotten intervened?  Idk - that’s not the story the writers are telling.  So, if you want to explore that, go write the fanfic about it! But the writers are telling the Klaine gets back together story -- and this is the insane way the chose to do it.
Tumblr media
Alright, so beyond the fact that this is utterly terrifying - I find it fascinated that she places Blaine as the bride.  Make of it as you will - but I do think it’s an interesting departure from the idea that Kurt is the ‘girl’ of the relationship.  [side note - they are two guys - there is not a girl in their relationship.]
Blouses
Tumblr media
Alright - so Sue hauls Kurt into her office and you know what? He’s totally not having it.  He’s been done with her shit for years, and I’d like to point out that his unwilling attitude is their from the beginning of the scene.  The minute he sits down, he’s over it - and that’s before Sue goes on to declare that his life ambition is to get back together with Kurt.
I also - kinda think the whole idea of blouses, light and airy femme-ish gays, is kinda funny.
So, here’s my thing about this scene.  Kurt firmly tells Sue that he doesn’t want to get back together with Blaine.  And in this scene, it may be firm, but it’s not harsh.
At the end of the series, Kurt’s going to tell Sue that he’s grateful she pushed he and Blaine back together -- because apart, and even after trying to heed to Britany’s advice and move on - Kurt’s not happy.  In fact, as he says in the series finale, he’s miserable.  So yeah - him telling Sue that he doesn’t want to get back together with Blaine is sorta like when he was declaring them friends and wanting ‘desperately’ to be over Blaine back in season 4.  He’s trying - because he doesn’t think it’ll happen.
Tumblr media
But beyond that - it’s good to remember that this is Sue we’re talking about.  She once tried to shoot Brittany from a canon.  She’s been an adversary since the beginning. Do you really think he’s going to trust her? Or really take any part of her shenanigans?  No - he really doesn’t want to do any of that, nor open up emotionally at all.
The last episode was extreme on Kurt showing emotion - and in this one, he’s closed right up - because, god damn it, it freakin’ hurts when he goes there.  So why not listen to Brittany? Why not just compartmentalize and move on - because he thinks Blaine has.
Anyway - back to Sue - case in point, at the end of the scene, she declares that she’s set up an invitational to destroy the glee club once and for all.  And she tells him that straight up (instead of voice over!!). So yeah - Kurt is not going to be open about his most vulnerable emotions to someone who is actively trying to destroy him in other ways.  I mean - that’d just be stupid.
Bears
Tumblr media
So... there’s an invitational.  Did you know there was an invitational during season 1? Yup - it was the episode with April Rhodes if you can believe it.
Anyway, Rachel’s already talked to Will about going easy.  And now - Kurt and Rachel confront Blaine.  And Blaine is having none of it.  And I love it.  Because for the first time since... season 2? Blaine’s standing up for himself - being his own individual person, and not caving in to whatever Kurt wants.  That’s actually a good thing - because one of the issues they were having was that Blaine wasn’t his own person - he was kind of lost in Klaine and I’m thrilled to see him doing alright on his own.
Meanwhile - if you watch closely, there is a slight look of amusement among the eye-rollyness we see from him here.  Kurt never wanted Blaine to be his lapdog either.  They’re on an equal playing field now - which is actually pretty good!
Tumblr media
So - in the middle of all the stand-off over invitationals, Blaine gets a text that there’s an intruder in his and Karofsky’s apartment.  I kind of love that they don’t call the police or anything but all go running over there to check it out.  This show and logic, man...
Anyway - I think it’s kind of cool that Kurt (and Rachel) both go over to help Blaine! If the first few episodes of the season were about Kurt coming to terms with his feelings and the status quo, the next few (as told by Sue in the next episode) are about Kurt and Blaine becoming friends again.  And no matter how much is going on with the competition between glee clubs.  Kurt and Blaine are still in each other’s circles, and are still there to help each other out.
So, um, yeah, there’s a literal bear in the apartment (and I think that the Karofsky freaking out about it part of it is to a) be funny, and b) show that Karofsky isn’t the scary dude we all knew from season two).  It is bizarre that a literal bear would be in the (brightly rainbow colored) apartment.  But, you know, that’s Sue for you - and Kurt catches on pretty quickly.
I also kind of wonder if this is the first time Kurt’s been over there.  Huh.
Delicious Porcelain Rump Roast
Tumblr media
So, Kurt’s second trip back to Sue’s office is less lighthearted and annoyed - and more just plain angry.  And, I used to think this was slightly over played by Chris, but now that I’m watching this within context, I think maybe it’s not...
Sue, literally, put a live bear in someone’s apt - and even if it was a cub, it’s still incredibly dangerous - and could have hurt someone badly.  Not to mention the cost of getting it out was probably not cheap.  Sue’s meddling dangerously in his life now - so of course he’s going to be adamant that he doesn’t want her help -- because it’s supposedly the only way it’s going to get her to stop.
He also takes the moment to tell Sue that he’s met someone online.  And I have to figure that after the Brittany conversation, he went onto the dating sites he was using before he figured out his feelings, and tried again.  And this time met a dude who seems to really like Golden Girls, too, and I’m sure they’ve been up talking a lot.  Which I’m sure is a nice thing -- because having fun talking about old TV shows vs drowning in the misery of watching the person you’re deeply in love with live with your old tormentor - I can see why Kurt’s in the mindset he’s in.
Anyway, he tells Sue to stop - but then Sue goes on another meta rant about how he can’t date because the dude will eat him alive because, let’s face it, after six years, Kurt Hummel has become a delicious little porcelain rump roast.  Thank you, Glee, for that nice long pan up and down Kurt’s full body.  Lol.
As funny as Sue’s whole thing is, Kurt backs away slowly because she is freakin’ crazy, and she does need to butt out cause it really isn’t any of her business.
Prep Work
Tumblr media
So - this little scene is about Rachel and Kurt being teachers - and dumping a lot of exposition about the invitationals.  There’s not a whole lot of meta-ish things to say (other than Kurt’s literally twitchy at Rachel’s new piano skills), but it’s a fun and comedic little scene - where they try to give a nice pep talk to the newbies, but you know, there are only four of them and there are lot of things that could go wrong.
Btw - is it just me or is Lea Michelle extra orange in this episode?
I suppose this is the point where I should probably mention that season 6′s actual driving plot line is the same as season 1 - to get these kids to sectionals.  And a lot of effort is placed into that, and you know, we have a tendency just to forget that because we’re so focused on the Klaine aspect of everything.  But I’m saying this now because I think when looking at it in full context, the last three-ish episodes before the end make a lot more sense when we see that the story isn’t about the personal lives of Kurt Hummel and Blaine Anderson (or even, really, much of Rachel Berry) but getting the glee club back on track.  And, eh.  Fine.  I would have preferred a different direction - but they’re trying hard to recapture that season 1 stuff.  And while I enjoy season six more than maybe most people - I still think they could have gone in maybe a more interesting and less rehashed direction for their last season.
But, eh, they’re doing a full circle thing - so I get it.
Ex-Lovebirds
Tumblr media
So, Blaine comes in looking for Rachel for piano lessons - but she’s off sharing a pretzel with Sam because -- you know what, let’s not talk about that plot line.  Anyway, Kurt’s in the auditorium, too - and they both kinda eye-roll Figgins (who’s been reduced to janitor, btw).  Which reminds me - the scene before this is the scene where Figgins’s sister shows up as the Carmel High principal, and it is utterly one of my favorite things they’ve ever done.
Tumblr media
As soon as Figgins leave - we get Blaine in an upset pout.  And you know what, Kurt’s gonna go ahead and see what’s up.  Cause you know what? Kurt does care - and because they care.  And because they’re getting that friendship back.  It’s interesting to me - that even though there’s a high level of angst in this scene (and god is there) our beloved obligatory Klaine scene is the only scene in which Kurt is mostly relaxed? I mean - he’s not having to yell at Sue, or be professor to a bunch of kids, or have a super awkward date.  He’s just Kurt here - and Blaine’s just Blaine.  And I think it’s the first time in a while that they’re kind of openly just being themselves!
The awkwardness is stems from the fact that this conversation? It’s about being romantically involved with other people.  Which - is a super weird conversation to be having with your ex.  But interestingly, pushing that awkwardness aside, they both seem to be there for each other.  Kurt’s going to reassure Blaine that Sue’s just messing with he and Karofsky - and they aren’t actually related, while Blaine’s going to wish Kurt best of luck on his upcoming date.
Even if they didn’t get back together - I get the impression that they still benefit from being in each other’s lives.  As much as this scene is awkward - neither of them are being open to anyone else on the show right now.  It’s baby steps for them - but they were (are) also best friends - and not to diminish the friendships they have with Sam and Rachel respectively, there’s a bond that they share that’s...different than what they share with Sam and Rachel.
Tumblr media
There’s an interesting additional layer of complexity on this scene, though.  First of all, Kurt telling Blaine about his date -- it’s the first signifies to Blaine that he can be upset with Kurt all he wants, but he’s got to sort out his feelings.  Because if he doesn’t, maybe he and Kurt are really over.
See - before Kurt says his little admission, they discuss Sue trying to get them back together.  And Blaine’s very adamant that as nice it was that they’re each other’s first everythings -- they’ve moved on and don’t want to get back together.  Blaine’s totally on the same page on that sentiment.  Maybe even more so than Kurt, because Kurt’s definitely more hesitant when they discuss it.  But then, bam! Kurt has a date and -- oh shit reality time for Blaine.
Kurt says they’re being adult about it -- and they really are.  But saying you’re over your ex and actually being over your ex are two different things.  And I think this is the wake-up call Blaine needed.
Meanwhile, Kurt is open and honest with Blaine -- and ACTUALLY TALKING TO HIM! Can we not down play that aspect? Communication has always been their hard spot, but here, despite the level of difficulty, they’re having and open and more mature conversation.  And yeah - angst flying everywhere -- but you know what? They’re growing up, too, and will be soon ready to be in that adult relationship.
Tumblr media
Well - maturity aside, it’s still not an easy conversation to have, and Blaine kinda gets outta there before they can get into it any more.
There’s another awkward hug - not as weird as the Scandals one, but it’s always strange having to distance yourself from someone you’ve been very intimate with - and while they’re beginning to get comfortable with each other again, the physical intimacy boundaries are still very awkward.
But then we have this last little moment of Kurt by himself.  Despite actually being interested in going on this date - he’s not Blaine, and that hurt and sadness and longing are still there.  He can yell at Sue all he wants, and he can tell Blaine they’re fine all he wants, but when he’s alone, he allows his misery to show through.
Walter
Tumblr media
Oh man - where do I even begin with this, lol
So, first of all, Walter totally was not what Kurt was expecting - and Kurt’s first reaction was to get the hell outta there.  It is creepy - this dude in his 50s purposely did not disclose the fact that he’s twice this kids’ age - and had kids, to get a date.  I’m sorry, like, creepy vibes all over.  I don’t necessarily think Walter turns out to be that way - but Kurt has every right to just jet -- which he kind of tries to do at first, honestly.
Tumblr media
Kurt’s face when Walter says he’s on instagram!
So - here’s the thing to remember about this.  Despite the fact that this whole Walter thing is going to go on for a few episodes -- Glee is going out of their way to show that this is totally not a thing to last.  First of all, Walter is much older and just not on the same wave length as Kurt -- I mean, all the old people jokes from the earlier episodes in the season were totally setting this up -- but Kurt doesn’t necessarily want to date anyone his dad’s age.
Secondly, this dude’s got a ton of baggage - he’s divorced, has kids, and is just coming to terms with the fact that he’s gay -- and which can be super awkward on a whole lot of levels.  There are a ton of red flags here, which is why, again, Kurt’s first instinct is to get the hell outta there. But it’s also a way for the writers to show that -- this isn’t a love connection or a good match.  Enjoying the Golden Girls is not a basis for a full functioning romantic relationship when there are a ton of other red flags going on.
But to clarify a little bit - it’s obvious that Kurt and Walter are at two very different points of their lives, and that alone shows that this isn’t something that’s meant to last.  It’s here to be the last roadblock before Kurt and Blaine reconcile.
Tumblr media
I will say that I do find it kinda funny that Kurt got completely distracted by someone agreeing with him about Golden Girls being the best sitcom ever.
However! Here’s the thing - Kurt’s got a ton of baggage, too, and like Adam - I’m a little sad we didn’t see these midgames explored just a tag more - because it would have been fun to see just how much Kurt goes on about Blaine unintentionally and be just as awkward and weird as Walter is when he’s talking about his ex-wife and kids.
Why does Kurt end up sticking around? Because fundamentally - Kurt is a good person.  And he knows what it’s like to be gay, and just need someone there to know that you’re not alone.  He doesn’t owe Walter anything, but Kurt does have compassion, even if it’s for this late bloomer gay.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, I know what you’re thinking -- do you think they hook up?  After this scene, no.  Walter states he’d like to start as friends, and that’s the only reason Kurt sticks around.
Later? Well - I could make a case for either way.  The narrative is going to go out of its way to show how they’re rather platonic (really - while Blaine and Karofsky get jokes about their sex life, Kurt gets jokes about how he doesn’t have sex).   I also think that being someone’s first experience could be pressure that Kurt may not want to take on.
At the same time, I think Kurt enjoys sex - and kind of the way Blaine’s not letting his relationship with Karofsky be intense, I think Kurt could be fine with some casual sex.  I think he has gotten to that point in his life where sex and love/romance don’t need to be so tangled with one another.  He’s still in love with Blaine, his heart won’t change.  But enjoying the physical side of things - I think he’s grown up enough to feel okay with doing that.
And like Adam - it’s your choice.  I’m kind of indifferent on it, and like I said, could easily make a case for either one.
That all said - do I think Walter was a necessity? No - I think there are other ways you can show someone moving on from a relationship that don’t involve dating another person.  But this is a) Glee - where they don’t know how else to tell these kinds of stories and b) mainstream society in which it’s routine to tell stories like this.  So I get it.
Invitationals (Part 1)
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, back in the overarching plot of the season - invitationals happen.  And Will decides to not do as Rachel asks and actually preps his group and not throw it.  To be fair, she should have never asked.  Still - he’s kind of a dick about it.
And we’re forced to sit through two unnecessary vocal adrenaline songs because the episode was running a little light on music.
Tumblr media
I’m with ya Kurt.  Because while VA is flashy, there is almost no vocal showmanship when your lyrics consist solely of ‘rock lobster’ and ‘whip it’.  How can these even be songs for a glee club? Ug, this show.
The only meaningful thing is that Kurt shares a ‘wtf’ look with Blaine.  They may have opposite groups, but they both can agree that Will and VA and this whole ending five minutes is just stupid.
Get back to the more interesting plot, show, no one cares...

WIP Challenge
I got tagged by @kikithedeceiver to do this!
Challenge: post the names of all the files in your WIP folder, regardless of how non-descriptive or ridiculous.
Here’s the thing. I don’t have many separate WIP files; most of them are in one huge doc. and most of the separate wip files are... pretty dead? but ok whatevs. under a read more since it’s long...... and my ego won’t let me skip snippets hjkhkhk thanks for the idea Kiki
From my main miscellaneous folder:
50 Grades of Steele. 1 and a half chaps of a role-flipped 50 Shades of Grey rewrite (i haven’t read the books so I extra don’t care about the characters lol). why do i still have it i’ve lost interest.... *side eyes her entire wip ecosystem* ...Then I see my interview subject, seated at her desk.
"Mr. Grey. I'm pleased to meet you."
And I stop breathing. [end CH1]
[open CH2) I forgot to mention something: I exaggerate occasionally. But I'm not now. I literally stop breathing for a few seconds. A thousand thoughts are racing through my mind, which doesn't help my chest stop seizing, but the main problem here is that Anastasia Steele is quite possibly the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.
Fanfic idea masterlist. my most active file and where I keep most of my WIPS, unless they get too “large”. Organized by fandom. lotta stuff i keep passing by & may as well be dead but don’t wanna delete. here’s a zero-draft snippet of probably the next chapter of my G-rated yukyoru fic collection
He grabbed a pillow and placed it to his chest, grabbed her arm, and yanked her to him, praying his idea would work.
Seconds passed and he didn't transform. He put his arms around her gingerly. Should he try to immobilize her or would that make it worse?
She made the decision for him. "Mom," she sobbed, clutching him with an iron grip. "N-Need to help...!"
His stomach dropped to his shoes.
Thudding footsteps announced Yuki's arrival. "What's wrong?! Honda-san--"
He didn't say "What did you do?" The thought raced by and Kyo said, "Grab a pillow and help me!"
As Yuki positioned the pillow and himself without having to ask, Kyo said, "She won't wake up. I don't know what to do!"
"Night terror," Yuki said tightly. He was too close but it almost didn't matter. "Not much you can do besides wait."
MayxWard BDSM fic agents of SHIELD. mix of notes and actual writing. kind of a half AU. Melinda climbed into the driver's side and buckled in, then started up the car. "If you've not ridden on the left before you might have motion sickness. It's normal. Just close your eyes until—" She paused as she looked at him; his hands shook so much he couldn't manage the seatbelt. "Here, let me."
"Thanks," he muttered with a sigh, looking rueful.
Modern AU Zelink. What it says on the tin~ Teenage-ish Zelink, with a mash of supporting characters from other games. another mix of notes and fic. Link wasn't sleeping tonight. Tonight was the night he'd been planning for and awaiting for weeks. He was going on a quest: the quest to meet Princess Zelda.
She wasn't really a princess, of course. That was just her nickname. Zelda Nohansen was Hyrule's sweetheart, the most sought-after young actress in the movie business. And Link had fallen in love with her the first time he'd seen her, two years ago in a tiny theater in Kakariko.
PMMMfic homumado. Madoka Magica. AU, been around since about an hour after I finished the series (5 years yikes, still gotta watch Rebellion). Homura's time power still somewhat involved, but Mami's an adult, everyone's at a boarding school (I think?) where ~things aren't as they first seem~ and Madoka has mysterious powers and night terrors. just notes at the moment.
SoubixHitomi.  Loveless. 3 unfinished/dead first-person Shinonome-senseixSoubi snippets, all of ‘em spicy.
yvy abo. Yuri On Ice. Yuri (Katsuki!!)/Victor/Yuko(!!?!), my attempt at. well. omegaverse(!!!!!!!). orignally started as part of a “bad YOI fic” bigbang and now I’m taking it seriously dgdgfg. Alpha Yuko. “Please, please stop,” she whispered, like saying it aloud would make any difference. But the pressure in her head kept building. Her limbs had begun to itch restlessly.
And Victor wouldn’t let go of her hand.
With the last scrap of her control, she straddled him quickly and kissed him awake.
Even in half-sleep he arched to meet her, and when he opened his eyes sapphire blue had already turned stormy with lust.
yvy canonfuturefic. Yuko-focused following of canon, or: how canon can I keep YOI while still rareship OT3ing it. She and Yuri fall in and out of love, in between falling for Victor. Victuri is still my life I swear
“You have got to watch this,” she tells Yuri. She watches Yuri’s face instead of the video, having seen it at least forty times by now.
Yuri’s eyes transform into beacons of awe, and Yuko swallows around her rapid heartbeat, breaths coming too short. She sees everything she’s feeling and more on his face. She remembers that she loves him, that he’s real and here and more important than the beautiful boy on her phone who’s trying to pull her under to a scary new world.
ZnT ot3 bdsm AU. Zankyou no Terror, 9/12/Lisa. mix of notes and fic, not just PWP. in heavy need of editing bc a lot was inspired by a non-spicy book.
“But it’s not just me. It’s everyone. You need everyone because you have no idea how to need yourself. Or even how to be yourself.”
“You’re wrong.” The force and volume of her voice shocked her and pushed her onward. “You and Touji. I don’t need anyone except you and Touji! Because you both taught me how to be myself-- no, how to find that on my own. I know exactly who I am, and that me isn’t complete without both of you!” She could feel the tears streaming down her face, yet somehow her voice didn’t waver. She felt so full of conviction she could burst into flames. “Don’t you understand, Arata? We’re all meant to be together.”
From my SnK folder:
Cave of the Crystal Maiden (working title). Aruani. Modern AU. MMORPG shenanigans with a dollop of magical realism/supernatural. Just notes. @portraitofa-girl suggested “meeting online” and it’s been there literally for years oh lord im sorry. no fic yet, just notes.
Falling Anthem (working title) Modern AU Levihan, art student Hange and young professor Levi. just notes. fic one in a planned series. also has been years ;_;
Raindrops and Soft Steps. Jearmin. unsurprisingly, modern AU. One morning, when Jean looks out of his bedroom window, he sees a boy dancing across the street. In the street, to be exact. There wouldn't be anything unusual about that, Jean supposes, except it's raining cats and dogs outside.
In my IAMXfic folder (fff i almost skipped this):
2ndPOVCalberto (DO NOT CORRUPT WITH HET) ChrisxAlberto? not much to say?? yes i know they’re real people??? which applies to everything after this oh my god *crawls under desk* Of course she knows; she is annoyingly perceptive when it comes to romance. The only thing preventing you from asking her (like a fucking lovestruck teenager) if Alberto likes you back is emptying that beer bottle. By then the only thing on your mind is ordering another.
CalbertImmi. i can’t even keep my poly shit outta RPF ahaha omhg Imogen has a conversation with her lover's lover. (AlbertImmi, sequel to...) Imogen finds herself in an unenviable position. (emerging CalbertImmi)
Alternate summaries (CC POV, first fic?): Chris loves two people. He doesn't want to choose. Chris has fallen in love a few times in his life. But he's never fallen for two people at once. (Chris also isn't good at choosing.)
ChrisxJ. several self-insert fics bc CC is just that powerful, apparently. haven’t looked at the file in a long time,,,,,
He started calling people to the stage with him, and one by one, my row emptied.
"Come on, yeah, come on," he was saying, waving his hand in an inviting gesture and grinning like a little kid. "Hey, you want to?" I did a double take.
"Me?" I mouthed, pointing at myself just to be sure. He nodded, smiling wider.
So it was that I walked unsteadily down the ramp and waited in line, feeling like I didn’t belong there. Soon I was next in line. What would I say? What would I do? I was sure if I opened my mouth I’d either burst into tears or faint.
Genderswapped IAMX sci-fi. The sci-fi was inspired by a word prompt, genderswapping by my own brain. (play spot the Immi lmao) Across the aisle, Sam rolled his eyes. “Leave Chris alone; she’s nervous.”
“And put on your own seatbelt, Johann,” shouted Jess, two seats back and in Sam’s aisle.
Patrick turned  to look at Chris. “Subspace travel is a bitch,” he said simply, and turned back to his book.
“Oh, I feel much less nervous now,” Chris said with a sardonic grin. “How do you know that, anyway?”
"I'm not exactly what I seem to be." He didn’t look up.
Chriimmi (While I Was Gone inspired). Chris/Imogen, inspired by scenes from Sue Miller’s While I Was Gone.
"You really ought not to do that, you know," he said softly.
"Do what?"
"Sneak up on me."
My eyes slid from his face. "I didn't mean to. It just... happened."
"Mm." I glanced back at him; he wore a lopsided smile. "Not that I minded." The tension was so strong the air nearly vibrated with it, yet I held my tongue, terrified that I was the only one feeling it. He took a breath, deep, nearly rising on his toes. "No. I didn't mind at all." He took my hand, circled his thumb over the back. My breath caught as I felt it, as I watched him looking down at our hands.

ChrisxImmi main. grab bag of Chriimmi I was too lazy to put into separate docs.
“What do you think?” She grinned, twirling.
He cleared his throat. “Ah, I-Imogen, what are you wearing?”
“Well, I didn’t want to clash with your theme…  Janine helped me. Does it work?”
Scandalously short skirt, midriff-baring top, knee-high boots.
“You’re trying to kill me, aren’t you? You’re trying to fucking kill me.”
Her grin only widened, even though a blush had started.
Fic edit chriimmi ver. yeah. editing someone else’s original fic to be chrimmi. either never posting or editing the frick out of. ~_~
He kissed her neck, whispered into it, “I love you.”
Imogen laughed. “Bollocks,” she said lazily.
”I do!” Chris protested. She looked down at him, nestled on her shoulder. He looked back, open, a little adoring. “I fell in love with you halfway through the show; I sang every note just for you.”
”Oh, please. You couldn’t have seen me.”
”No,” he said. “But I knew you were out there… I knew it had been you the minute I saw you backstage.”
Hospital Chriimmi. In which my guilty feeling over RPF are even worse bc of the inspiration ^_^U “Ms. Heap. What a pleasant surprise.” It’s surprising, how well she remembers his voice.
“Mr. Corner, what have you got yourself into?”
“Oh, just a bit of lingering insomnia. You know how it is.”
She takes a seat in the chair near his bed, crossing her legs. “Well, I’ve certainly had a sleepless night here and there, but I’ve never ended up in hospital from it. So no, I don’t suppose I do know.” Her tone is light, but her smile has begun to crack.
ImmixChris genderbend smut. the my secret friend video is... fertile material. have not actually written the smut yet.
...he saw us as characters– we put on those clothes and become separate from ourselves, removed. Whereas I simply felt like myself in men’s clothes, and instead of feeling what He felt for Her, I just kept right on feeling what I felt for Chris, amplified to a distracting level.

"You can have me," I tell the creature. "But this one," I jerk my head toward Mark, "comes with me. He's mine, you see." A bold proclamation to make, but in the moment I know that the truth in those words surpasses everything I've ever said. He is mine, and saying the thought out loud fills me with courage. He squeezes my hand, two short and a long one so strong I think he might break it.
I know we’ll win.
DommeJujY. same as above, same as the next four. smutty.
Fight team AU. i forget where i got this one from. vaguely inspired by loveless i guess.  The first clear thought I had was, He shouldn't have gone ahead of me. The second one was, I should have been able to protect him. But these came later, after the rage went away, after I hugged him and apologized, after I bandaged him…
Gaming meetcute. i win some contest or whatever to secretly tagteam w/ Mark. stuff happens and yeah......
The adrenaline surges through my veins as I take in the scene. Mark's avatar is flailing around, backed into a corner by some Eldritch Abomination and holy shit, the graphics in this game are amazing.
"This is not good, I can't move, I can't move…"
There's a voice in the back of my head screaming to shut the game down, to get that horrible thing off the screen. I ignore it.
Markinpanties. .......smut.
shifter-slight sci-fi AU. shrug emoji.
I looked up from the ground and saw I was heading straight for a brick wall. There was no time to slow down. I braced for impact...
It didn't happen. I opened my eyes and found myself in a café.
What.
Looking behind me, I saw a door. On impulse I walked over and opened it; the tree-lined street I could see through the glass was indeed there. No brick wall to smack my face into. Bewildered, I turned around and looked for a seat, choosing one near a window.

I check my phone during break time again. My selfie has been liked and retweeted thousands of times, and I shake my head in disbelief; I don't think that will ever stop surprising me, deep down. To make things even better, Mark's liked it! I'm in the middle of a happy jig when I realize there's a text from him and a squeak of joy slips from me.

Chapter 11 - You Again
The gang of teenagers stood frozen in front of an old wooden shack, face-to-face with a snarling, mossy creature with burning eyes. Her dog?! That thing was her dog?!
"Nobody… moves..." - MC whispered.
"We can't just stand here! We've got to do something!" - Stacy said back with a rushed nervous tone.
"Do what?! That thing is huge!" - Lucas tilted his head slightly to the growling monster.
Behind the creature, Cora Pritchard, also known as 'Pritch the Witch', glared at them with arms crossed:
"Well? You punks going to explain what you're doing here in the middle of the damn night? Or are we doing this the hard way?"
"I-is the hard way getting eaten by your creepy skeleton monster?" - Lily asked the question that popped in everyone's minds.
"Don't be simple. Ugly thing ain't even got a stomach. He'll just chew you up and spit you out somewhere. Somewhere off my property."
"Super. We finally have a lead, and now her creepy pet is gonna kill us." - Ava scowled, less than pleased.
Andy looked to each of his friends' face in doubt. "If we scatter, it can't kill all of us… right?"
"Let's get out of here!" - Noah was trembling in fear from heads to toes, but somehow he found his voice and still hadn't shit his own pants. - "If she can control that monster, she's probably in league with him."
The old woman frowned in confusion. "'Him'? What nonsense are you… oh." - she stopped short and realisation seemed to fell on her. - "Oh hell." - then, she whistled sharply, and the mossy creature backed down to her. - "It's you, isn't it? You're the idiots who went and woke up Redfield."
"So you do know about him!" - Stacy ignored MC's statement and murmured:
"Please, we're sorry for trespassing, but… we need your help."
Lucas nodded and took a small step towards the with. "We're kind of desperate, actually. Any information you have about Redfield's history or his powers would be incredibly helpful."
"History? I'll do you one better than that. I'm gonna tell you how to lock that bastard away for good." - and then, she simply turned and stepped inside the old cabin.
The teenagers looked at each others' faces, still not believing what had just happened. Pritch the Witch  was actually going to help them?
Summoning all their courage, MC followed the old woman. Their friends did the same, entering the house. Dark shelves lined the walls, neatly packed with strange stones, dusty tomes, bottles of herbs, and skulls.
"Whoa… this is… interesting." - MC commented, trying to sound kind. Ava leaned in closer to Noah and Lily and whispered with a grin on her lips, eyes sparkling with the sight of all those old and creepy things:
"I want this house to be my house."
"Don't touch anything." - Cora's tone was almost a threat. Lucas grimaced, examining a jar with some kind of preserved organ floating inside:
"Fine by me."
Then, the old woman poured several cups from a cast-iron teapot and handed each one of the kids one. MC sniffed the cup, wrinkling to their nose at the bitter aroma. "Um, is this... Earl Grey?"
"This look like some kinda princessy tea house to you?" - Cora snapped back at them as she eased into a well-worn armchair, her creature settling to the floor beside her like a faithful hound. - "Drink your damn tea. Or give it to the dog. I don't care."
Silence stretched as all of them sipped the tea, staring back at each other with unsure looks. Noah was so nervous that he thought it was better to just drink his tea instead of saying anything stupid and risking annoying the old lady. He still felt a little terrified by her. Though her tea was damn good.
"Um… Miss Pritchard? I can't help but notice… it sounded like you know who we are." - Lily finally spoke up.
"'Course I do. Power's been sleeping quiet these past ten years, but I knew someone had broken the spell that bound it."
"If that's true… why didn't you come find us?" - Stacy asked. Andy agreed with the cheerleader.
"Yeah, why wait 'til we came to you?"
"'Cause the Power knows me, boy. I've only survived this long because I know how to hide from it. How'd you finally find me, anyway?"
"We found this at the library..." - MC pulled Cora's picture book out of their bag.
"Took ya long enough. I published that damn book eight years ago. Won an award and everything. Figured as soon as you recognized the creatures in there, you'd come running. Guess I overestimated you."
"Uh… sorry."
The woman grunted, sipping her tea. Ava tossed back her own tea in one swallow, holding out her cup for a refill. "Okay, you said the Power knows you. What does that mean?"
"This one pays attention. I like her." - the witch was almost smirking.
"Teacher's pet." - Noah whispered teasingly to Ava, who flashed her middle finger at him while Cora poured her another cup of tea.
"Most of my life, I've been part of a group that watches over these woods… and the Power that lives inside." - she started explaining. - "We guarded the Power and kept it secret. In return, it took care of us."
"You mean it gave you abilities?" - MC asked. She nodded.
"You catch on quick, kid. We were able to take a little of the Power into ourselves, granting us certain skills… but only if we followed the rules."
"Well, that explains Twiggy over here." - Andy pointed to the moss creature, which growled back at him. Stacy's mouth fell open.
"Hang on, you made that thing?!"
"Do you have other powers too?"
"Absolutely not. I make constructs, like this ugly beast here… but only one at a time." - Cora answered MC's question. - "Others could levitate things or talk to beasts and whatnot, but there's only so much power a person can hold without going…" - she scowled into her teacup. - "...strange."
"...Someone got greedy, didn't they? Someone tried to use too much of the Power."
"Idiot… we told him what would happen. He saw the shadows wandering the woods at night… leftovers from other greedy idiots. But no, he thought he knew better than us. Now look at him. Fused with the Power itself, not a scrap of humanity left." - MC shuddered beside the Noah, rubbing the still-tender bruise on their wrist where Redfield grabbed them. He squeezed their shoulder, trying to make it seem like a reassuring gesture, though he still felt a little nervous on being in that old creepy-ass cabin. Cora watched them intently, one eyebrow raised. - "Looks like things are worse than I thought. We've got to move quickly." - she suddenly heaved herself out of her chair and started bustling around the room, taking down jars and bunches of herbs. - "Someone find the jar of powdered bloodstone. And you, put those goblets on the table." - she pointed to the boy with the beanie.
"Oh, uh… these?" - he retrieved a pair of ornate goblets from a nearby case and set them on the low table. The witch shooed them aside, then started mixing various powders and herbs into the two goblets, the teenagers gathering around her, watching what she was doing intently.
"Okay… I get that we're 'moving quickly' here, but maybe can you pump the brakes for a sec? How are we gonna stop Redfield." - Andy broke the silence.
"Yeah, I'd like to know what exactly we're getting into." - the Class President agreed with the Asian boy. - "What's the plan? Will you be assisting us?"
"What does it look like I'm doing? Making a casserole?" - she scowled as she added a pinch of ash to each goblet, then started scribbling furiously on a notepad. - "I can tell you how to bind Redfield, but you're gonna have to go into those woods and perform the spell yourselves."
"What? But we can't… I mean, how are we supposed to do that? We're not witches or whatever."
"Speak for yourself." - Ava told the cheerleader.
"We might not have powers… but Cora's right. We have to do this ourselves." - MC's determination look back onto their face and Noah felt slightly inspired by it, ready to face Mr. Red. Well, almost.
"But why? Why does it always have to be us?" - Lily asked with a low whine.
"It's because we're connected to him. Something about being near us gave Mr. Red power. Especially once he managed to lure us down into that cave. Maybe… that same connection can give us some kind of power over him."
"Huh, you're not as dense as I thought you'd be. Maybe we're not doomed after all."
MC stared at Cora, clearly unsure if they should take it as a compliment or not.
"...Thanks." - they said after all.
"The Power's truth strength comes from the connection it forges with its followers. Both sides are bound by the rules and rituals they agree upon. After the… incident, the few of us who weren't bloody smears on the ground figured out a way to exploit that connection." - the woman finally tore the page free from her notepad and handed it to them. - "With this spell, we sealed that bastard inside the old meeting house."
"Old meeting house… wait, those creepy ruins? How old are you?" - Noah asked before he could realise that it was an inappropriate question.
"None of yer damn business." - MC took the paper, scanning Cora's cramped handwriting.
"This… this is it? We just follow these instructions?"
"Seems a little anticlimactic." - Ava stated, reading it over her friend's shoulder. Stacy looked at her.
"You did hear the part where we have to go back into the woods, right?"
"Where I assume Redfield will try to stop us?"
"That's right." - Pritch the Witch answered the boy with glasses. - "Once he sees what you're doing, he'll do everything he can to interrupt the spell. You're going to have to-- HEY! You drop that! I SAID DROP IT!" - the gang jumped, following the woman's accusing finger… to where her creature was chewing on its own leg bone. - "Stupid thing… all the arcane powers in the world couldn't magic a brain in that half-rotted skull of yours." - the moss creature barked happily back at her. - "Don't suppose you'd like to take this damn ugly beast with you? All he's doing here is chewing up my nice furniture."
"Um, YES. Yes we would like." - Ava was almost jumping with excitement.
"Redfield will probably send tons of these creatures after us… it'd be nice to have a monster on our side for once." - MC pondered a little. - "We'd love to take him."
"Hear that, ya dense beast? You're going with these kids for a while." - Cora snapped her fingers, and the creature got up, bony feet clacking across the floorboards.
"Does it, uh… have a name?" - Lily asked.
"Never bothered to give him one. Call him what you like." - the old woman shrugged.
"Hmmm… what about…" - MC looked over to Andy. - "...Twiggy?"
"Haha, hell yeah!" - the short boy jumped, fisting the air.
"This is the most stupid name I've ever heard." - Noah stated as Twiggy trotted over to them, grinning.
"Shut up, you're just jealous that you didn't gave him a dope name!" - MC hesitantly reached down to scratch the creature's mossy head.
"That's… surprisingly soft. And weird. Definitely weird."
"Who's a good undead boy? Is it you?" - Ava played with the beast while Cora grabbed a plastic lighter from the kitchen and tossed it to MC. Then she handed the two goblets to the Beanie Boy.
"Don't spill those. There's a clearing with a big stump in the middle, about a mile in from the road. You know it?" - he nodded at her.
"Yeah, that's where we found our friend Dan."
"That's where you'll do the ritual, tonight."
"Tonight? Why can't we wait until morning?" - Lily shouted, startled.
"Because Redfield's got to be inside the clearing for the spell to trap him, which won't happen if it's full of sunshine." - huh, it made sense.
"Got it." - MC nodded. - "There's something I wanted to ask about... our friends in the hospital."
"Our friends, Dan and Tom, got… Redfield got to them. They've been unconscious in the hospital for days."
"There are others, too…" - Lucas joined Andy's explanation. - "If we manage to bind Redfield… will they wake up?"
"Hm. The Power does feed on people sometimes, consuming their life force until they're just empty shells… But… if you do this spell right, that connection will be broken. Your friends should recover, in time."
"One more reason to win this thing."
"Now, unless you have any other silly questions, it's time for you to go. There's work to be done..." - and then, Cora rushed them out of her house.
"This is it, then… we're really going to face him." - Lucas murmured with an uneased look, as the gang made their way out of Cora's garden.
"At least we'll all be together this time." - Noah said. There was safety in numbers and for the first time in a long time he felt like he had his friends' backs.
"Plus, we've got Twiggy." - Ava patted the moss creature's head, who growled happily at her. Stacy looked to each one of their faces:
"Everyone ready to go?"
"As ready as I'll ever be..." - Lily answered, hugging herself against the night wind. A hug grin spread on Ava's face.
"Creepy moonlight ritual to save the town from evil? I was born for this."
"Hell yeah, let's kick some monsters in the face!" - Andy shout, kicking the air around him. MC held him by his shoulder, preventing him from entering the woods.
"Not yet. First, there's one stop we need to make...."
They all drove to the hardware store downtown and parked outside. Twiggy even tried to go with them, but they thought it was better to stay inside the car. The door chimed, announcing their entrance, and Stacy's brother glanced up to them. He looked less than pleased to see them, especially MC.
"Stacy, what are you all doing here?"
"Don't be a jerk, Connor. We're just here to buy supplies."
"Supplies for wh-- Actually, you know what? I don't want to know. Store closes in five minutes, so just… get your stuff and get out." - he said, returning to the back of the counter.
They all split up to browse the store, only MC stayed back, to go talk to Connor. Noah walked towards the center aisle.
"Yo."
"Hey." - he greeted the Asian boy back. They browsed it in silence fo a couple minutes until Andy spoke up:
"So… we're finally going to kick that bastard's ass." - the boy with a beanie smirked.
"Technically, we can't kick his ass because he's a ghost. Ghosts don't have asses."
"Of course they have! They have a… ghostly ass."
"Which we can't kick."
"Well, how can you be so sure about it? Have you tried to kick a ghost's ghostly ass before?" - Noah laughed to that boy's stubborness and fierceness. - "You won't know if you don't try!"
"Right. You tell me later if that worked or not." - Noah laughed a little more. The Asian boy just rolled his eyes.
"Hey, do you think this will be useful?" - he asked, pointing a hair dryer to him.
"For what? So you can dry Redfield's ghostly ass?"
"You're no fun, Noah." - Andy pouted, putting the object back into the aisle, while the other boy chuckled. MC approached them.
"How's it going?"
"Andy is having way too much fun with this."
"Hey man, I'm just trying to live out my cheesy action movie dreams here. Don't ruin it for me." - Andy's eyes suddenly lighted up. He set down a jar of nails and turned to them both grinning. - "You know what I just realized? This is gonna be over tomorrow!"
"Yeah, assuming we don't all die." - MC smiled back at him.
"No, that's what I mean! Fists of Thunder 6 comes out next summer, and there's no way I'm missing that. So we're definitely gonna win!"
"I… what?" - MC shared a look with Noah, as if to confirm that they heard right. The Beanie Boy tried really hard to not laugh. 'Fists of Thunder 6'? Seriously?
"I'm serious! What are you guys looking forward to? What have you been waiting for so hard it proves we're gonna live?"
"Dunno, I haven't had much to look forward to, lately." - Noah answered. He just wanted it all to end. To Redfield go. To get some answers.
All he wished was to know was where Jane was? Was she safe? Was she trapped somewhere? In the ruins? What Redfield meant when he said that Jane was here?
If Jane was here…
"There must be something." - MC elbowed him, a playful smirk spreading on their lips. - "What about homecoming?"
"I'm probably not going. Seems kinda pointless without a date, doesn't it?" - his eyes locked with MC's for a second. He thought he almost saw their eyes shining. He quickly looked away. - "And I'm… really not in a good place for that. Dating. I mean." - he stuttered, feeling his cheeks getting hotter.
And that was true. He couldn't think about dating. Not yet. Not with Redfield around. But if things were different… If they were all safe and sound… If Jane was here… Would things be different?
He felt Andy squeezing his shoulder reassuringly.
"That's cool, dude. If it's not the right time, then it's not the right time."
"You shouldn't let that stop you from enjoying homecoming, though. We could all go together!" - MC proposed. Andy punched the air excitedly.
"Dude, let's all rent a limo! I've always wanted to do that!"
"That sounds… fun. I'll think about it." - Noah couldn't hide a smile from appearing on his lips. Their excitement was contagious. He turned to MC. - "What about you, MC? Gonna ask someone to homecoming?"
To be honest, Noah didn't want to know. He felt awkward imagining MC dating someone, even if this person was one of their friends. He watched them putting their hand on their chin, pondering for a little while, before turning to him with a bright smile.
"I don't think I want to ask anyone specific. I just want all to go as friends."
Noah fought the urge to grin.
"Okay… as long as I don't have to dress up." - he said, trying to maintain a stoic face. It was stupid, but he was kind of happy to know that MC didn't liked someone in a special way… and that he was going with all his friends to the party. Together.
"That's the spirit!" - Andy shout, clapping his back (a little too hard), then wandered off to look at another aisle.
Noah turned to look at MC, whose eyes were already on his face, small grin on their lips. He blushed again under his friend's gaze and cleared his throat before asking: "Huh… so, you gonna buy anything?"
"I'm not sure… What kind of weapon do you use against an army of undead plant monsters?"
Beanie Boy looked around the store, when something caught his eyes.
"I mean… that, probably." - he pointed to the wall behind MC, where a 'Now in Stock' sign hanged next to a pole saw. He saw the smile widening on his friend's face.
"I forgot about this thing!" - they exclaimed as they took the pole saw off the wall and examined it. Noah approached them.
"What is it?"
"I think Connor said it's called a 'pole saw'?"
"I'll tell you what it is." - Ava said as she came around the counter, practically bouncing. Noah still wasn't get used to the vision of Ava Cunningham excited, almost happy. - "It's a chainsaw… on a STICK! Please tell me you're gonna buy it!"
"You should totally get it. This thing'll tear through those plant monsters like nothing!" - he agreed with the witch girl. - "Way better than my weapon idea. I was just gonna grab one of the big sticks I saw in the parking lot..." - cash was running low.
"Yeah, no way I'm passing this thing up." - MC stated, clearly enjoying the sensation of holding the pole saw on their hands.
"Yesss. You're gonna let me borrow it sometime, right?"
"For what? You got some landscaping to do?" - Noah asked Ava.
"If it means I get to swing stuff like that around, I will find something to landscape." - she said as they joined the rest of their friends at the front of the store. MC got in line behind Andy as he paid for a large crowbar. Turning, the Asian boy asked, stopping short when he saw them holding the pole saw.
"What?! Where do they keep those?"
"Sorry, think I got the only one."
"Everybody set?" - Lucas asked, looking to each one of them. He seemed a little more confident than before.
All of them nodded in agreement and walked out into the night.
They followed the back roads out of town until, once again, they found themselves standing at the edge of the dark roads…
"This is it..." - MC murmured, holding the pole saw tightly. Noah nodded beside them, staring the woods in front of them.
"Hope this goes better than last time."
"It will. It has to." - they said, that determined frown on their face again, and then clutched Cora's instructions, reading them through for what it seemed like the tenth time. - "We've got to leave one goblet at the entrance to the ruins. Ava and I will take care of that, then meet the rest of you at the clearing."
"Sounds like a plan." - Lucas commented. Stacy wished them two to be careful.
"You guys too. Watch out for gross skeleton monsters." - Cora's mossy creature seemed confused. Ava grinned at him. - "Of course you're not gross, Twiggy! The other skeleton monsters are way less cute than you.
One by one, the teenagers walked into the trees. After a quick detour to the ruins, MC and Ava rejoined the rest of them in the clearing.
"Run into any trouble?" - Andy asked them. MC shook their head.
"Nope. First goblet's ready to go." - and then they set the other goblet down on the stump.
"So… um, what exactly do we do?" - Lily still seemed a little anxious with everything.
"Looks like two people need to read the incantations written here." - Ava replied, reading Cora's instructions. - "As soon as we start the spell, Mr. Red will be drawn toward this clearing."
"Hooray..." - Noah felt a shiver running down his spine by just imagining facing that monster's face again, all the confidence he was feeling soon leaving him. Ava ignored him:
"We light the goblet on fire, which somehow lights the other goblet. The two flames become a bridge that channels Mr. Red into the ruins. Then… boom, the flames go out and he's sealed inside."
"So… who wants to read the words? You'd have to read through the whole spell, and Mr. Red will do whatever he can to stop you." - MC asked their friends.
"I'll do it. Stacy? Do you..." - Lily trailed off as the cheerleader dumped her purse out on the ground, refilling it with large rocks, then giving it a few experimental swings.
"Nope. I've got some anger to work out."
"I'll read." - Lucas volunteered himself. - "Just… try to stop anything from ripping our heads off, okay?"
"Don't worry. We've got your backs." - Andy clasped his hand on the Class President's back.
After MC's signal, everyone arranged themselves in a loose circle around the stump, with Lily and Lucas at the center.
"Is everyone ready?" - she asked. Andy gripped his crowbar, Stacy hefted her rock-filled purse, Noah clutched his branch, and Ava drew a long knife from her boot.
"Bring it on." - MC yanked the started handle of their pole saw, and the small engine thrummed to life. - "One last thing… No one's allowed to die. I mean it. If even one of you dies, I'm gonna be pissed." - they all grinned a little to MC's words.
"Right back atcha, MC." - Andy smirked at them.
Lily took a deep breath… then began to read. "'Power of the ancient trees, glorious song of all that grows...'" - Lucas stood tall beside her, one hand resting on her shoulder as he picked up the next line. "'by right of our covenant, we summon thee'."
They all tightened the grip around their weapons as a frigid wind whipped through the clearing, carrying the sounds of growls and gnashing teeth...
"Remember… we have to protect Lucas and Lily, or else all of this will be for nothing." - MC alerted them.
"Got it.." - Noah felt his heartbeat speeding up. Beside them, Twiggy's mossy hackles raised and he bared his teeth. Lily kept reading.
"'...come before us...'" - dark shapes began to move in the undergrowth, amber eyes burning in the trees…
"'...come before us'." - Lucas repeated, his eyes widening as another shape, larger than the rest, moved to the edge of the clearing, moonlight illuminating his face.
"Wait a second, is that…?" - Andy's voice died as they recognized who was standing right in front of them.
"No..." - MC murmured, shock in their face too. The figured grinned.
"Looks like I stumbled into a loser convention." - Cody said with a wicked smile.
"Cody… You're not him!"
"Yeah, I know. But I'm still gonna kick your ass." - shadows writhed in the trees behind Cody, and they caught a darker figure, barely visible but for its glowing eyes. - "Remember what I said at Brit's party? How I was gonna make you pay for all your smartass remarks? Your little friends threw me out that time… but this time… I brought some friends too."
The bushes all around them exploded, a snarling wave of skeletal creatures charging towards them.
"Here they come!" - MC yelled, dropping to a ready crouch as three of the creatures charged toward them. Along with Andy and Stacy, they started fighting the monsters.
"Crap!" - Noah shout, swinging his branch wildly, hitting the skeletal creature that attacked him.
"I've got you." - Ava lunged towards him, shredding vines and chunks of bones flying everywhere.
Through the chaos, Lily and Lucas's voices rang clear and strong, reading from Cora's spell.
"'Power of the earth and the stone, furious wind and rushing creek…'"
"'...by right of our covenant, we bid thee, listen…'"
"'...heed our words…'"
"'...heed our word--"
"LOOK OUT!" - Noah yelled as two creatures managed to dodge around him, heading for Lucas and Lily.
MC attacked the creature that headed to the Class President, their pole saw blade shearing clean through the creature's spine. He and Ava immediately tried to sprint after them, but another creature leapt in front of them.
"Holy crap, how many of these are there?!" - Noah asked, struggling to hold the thrashing creature.
"I don't know, but they're starting to get on my nerves!" - the witch girl replied, slashing at it  with her knife. - "Could use some help over here!" - she yelled to their friends, who seemed to be okay, though Lily's arm was bleeding. MC sprinted towards them. - "Damn it, Noah! Hold it still!"
"I'm trying! It-- Aah!" - the creature slipped out of his grasp, lunging for her.
"Oh f--"
"Hey, ugly!" - MC stabbed their saw blade through the creature's skeleton, pinning it to the ground. Ava winded up and kicked it in the head, sending its skull flying into the trees.
"Huh, maybe I should take up soccer."
"Thanks, MC. That one got away from me." - Noah said, the three of them panting with all the action.
"No problem, Beanie Boy."
As they continued to struggle against the skeletal creatures, they heard slow, sarcastic applause from the clearing's edge.
"Damn, not bad, MC. Maybe you nerds are tougher than I gave you credit for." - behind Cody, Redfield seethed, hovering just outside the boundary of the clearing, hissing at them.
Steeling themself, MC pointed their weapon at the creature wearing Cody's face.
"Come over here. I'll show you how tough I am."
Redfield reached out one clawed hand, resting it on top of Cody's head, who grinned at them.
"I thought you'd never ask." - and, before their eyes, Cody's flesh began to warp and bulge, his skin tearing and falling away, revealing the dirt and stone beneath.
"Holy crap."
"What he said." - Noah agreed with Andy's remark, the stone creature advanced on MC, seeming taller with every step. MC seemed to be handling it pretty well with their pole saw.
"MC!" - Stacy shout.
"Back off, creep!" - Ava tried to threaten the stone creature, all of them trying to run to them, but more vine creature surged forward. - "I'm gonna make you boney freaks wish you were never… summoned, or whatever.” - the witch girl said as she and Noah brandished their weapons at another group of snarling beasts.
“I am not letting it end like this… not when we’re so close…”
They kept fighting the skeletal creatures until, suddenly, they all fell to the ground, the lights in their eyes winking out. Ava and Noah shared a confused look, before looking at the center of the clearing, where MC, Lucas and Lily stood. There was no sign of Redfield, the goblet on fire.
“...We did it.” - MC murmured. Trembling, they got to their feet as the flames inside the goblet flared high, ten vanished.
“Wait… really? It actually worked?” - Beanie Boy asked, as he and Ava walked towards them.
“It would appear so.” - Lucas looked around them. Everything seemed so suddenly calm.
“Are… are we sure? Is he actually…” - Lily couldn’t finish the phrase. Ava walked over, retrieving Cora’s goblet.
“One way to find out.”
A short walk later, they all cautiously stepped into the familiar clearing.
“It’s so… peaceful.” - MC commented, staring at the ruins.
“Yeah… I guess.” - Noah murmured, feeling a strange sensation in his chest.
He kind of… kind of was feeling… disappointed. That was it? After all that hell they went through… he had hoped that he would get some answers. Things would get fixed. Jane would be here.
Where was Jane? What Redfield meant when he said that she was here? If she was here, then where she was? Was Jane still here?
If Jane was here…
Ava walked right to the ruins, quickly snatching up Cora’s goblet before backing away again. “Ugh… I can definitely feel something in there. And it is pissed.”
“Can you blame him? Who’d wanna spend eternity trapped in that crappy place?” - Andy pointed to the old ruins.
“This could be a trick…” - Lily still couldn’t believe the spell worked. To be honest, neither could Noah.
“How do we know the spell did what it was supposed to?” - Lucas asked and MC crouched to pick up a small pebble.
“We test it.” - they tossed the pebble at the house. It sailed straight over the threshold… then stopped in mid-air.
“No way…” - Stacy murmured, her eyes widening. The pebble hanged in the air for a moment, then dropped straight down.
MC’s knees suddenly buckled and they sank to the ground, tears welling up to their eyes as they started to laugh.
“It’s... over.” - the gang kneeled beside MC, pulling them into a warm embrace. - “Wh-what the hell do we do next?”
The cheerleader laughed, squeezing all of them tighter.
“Seriously? Next comes the most important thing of all!”
“The SATs?”
“No, dummy…” - Stacy rolled her eyes to Lucas, a huge grin on her lips. - “Homecoming!”

For 002, Ritsu and Misa
send me a ship, a character, or a list of 5 characters
002 | RITSU
How I feel about this character
hmm, gotta be honest, it’s been a while since i last read an MP100 manga update, so these thoughts aren’t gonna be reflective of how i might feel about his current characterisation in the manga. regardless, regardless… here goes.
let’s just say that i never particularly liked him when i watched the anime adaptation. the big cleanup arc lost a bit of its nuances when it was translated to the screen, so at first all i thought was wow, Ritsu’s actually a little bit of an ass and a pushover. but then i read the manga, and then rewatched the anime, and suddenly it clicked. he’s not aloof because he’s an asshole, and he doesn’t make friends easily because he’s a private person that can’t trust people with his emotions, like the other side of the coin that makes Mob an emotionally-repressed person, but because of the childhood traumatic experience he has with Mob. and just, generally growing up with a sibling that’s by all accounts mentally ill in a sense. i can’t relate to the specific circumstances he’s in because i’m an only child, and my parents aren’t mentally ill or inadvertently abusive, but the bit about not wanting others to know your true emotions is kinda what i’ve been doing for the better part of the last 5 years…
and then, the whole thing about being the kind of model student you are simply because that’s what others have expected you to be, that’s also A Mood. i kinda gave up the ghost after high school but the funny thing is i was a prefect at some point, and even though i was progressively swearing more and more like a sailor behind closed doors, and i was growing more and more restless about certain institutional traditions, i still put on an act for the disciplinary teachers because i’m a girl, i get scholarships every year, and that’s expected of me if i want to keep being perceived as such, lol. (well, not wanting to disappoint my parents is another major factor, but that’s why i never said ritsu was a 100% relatable character, just one that is relatable enough for me to project a bit onto haha.)
All the people I ship romantically with this character:
i don’t, really? i mean, Riteru (Ritsu/Teru) is an interesting dynamic to explore in fanfics and headcanons, but they’ve pretty much never interacted in canon lol. so it’s not exactly OTP material for me. (i also don’t really get Ritshou tbh, i don’t think their interactions have been given as much depth as Teru and Mob’s, so i don’t actually ship Ritshou.)
My non-romantic OTP for this character:
hmm i don’t think i have any BROTPs for him. next question.
My unpopular opinion about this character:
well i already said what i said in q1. i used to think he’s a bit of an ass haha. still do actually, i think he’s kinda classist in the way he thinks he can just kick delinquents and other less fortunate members of society to the curb? hmm idk, this boy makes me conflicted.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:
well i saw a comic circulating here where basically he talks it out with Mob and they expressedly forgive each other for the things that’s happened in the past, and i’d like that in canon.
my OTP:
isn’t this kinda a redundant ques? refer to “all the people i ship romantically with this character”. i.e. i don’t have an OTP for him.
my cross over ship:
??? none
a headcanon fact:
i like the one where he keeps a spoon on him at all times. wait, that’s canon, right? then idk. (i mean, i had an hc at some point about how Shou actually keeps a cactus named Ritsu, but that would be a Shou hc, not Ritsu hc, hhhh)
002 | MISA
How I feel about this character
well, i’ve only written several meta about this girl, whatever would make you think i have opinions about her /s
well, just to sum it all up briefly, like most casuals i started out finding her character a bit meh. not very well-written and pretty misogynistic in design (as in, she is clearly moulded after a terrible stereotype and the fact that she is the one fem chara with the most screentime in Death Note. OHBA SHOULD BE ASHAMED). but well, shortly after i finished DN the anime, i recalled the things i learned in my Feminism literary theory unit earlier that academic year, and i wrote this meta; and although i didn’t necessarily agree with these potential interpretations just yet, i could start to understand that she is much more than your average kawaii yandere.
later that year i started a module called Transnational Feminisms, which not only dismantled the idea that there is only one way of being a feminist / writing feminist characters, it also helped me understand i shouldn’t even limit myself to reading her character from Western feminist values (so, beyond De Beauvoir, Sedgwick, and Judith Butler). i should consider, obviously, the cultural contexts of gender expectations in Japan, etc. i have yet to write an actual post about this but yeah, i do have some follow-up thoughts to that feminist meta i wrote, and the long and short of it is that, considering the social context she is honestly a character with a subtle, subversive potential that Ohba probably didn’t even recognise.
(doesn’t mean i agree with canon’s treatment and portrayal of mental health issues when it comes to Misa though. Ohba can choke on his poorly researched and unqualified understanding of trauma.)
All the people I ship romantically with this character:
NOT LIGHT YAGAMI. people i think that Misa deserve: Rem, and Sayu. probably others as well, but Rem and Sayu are the only ones i can conceive of who canonically do / will care about Misa on a personal level.
(but honestly tho Sayu is pretty gay for Misa in the TV Drama)
My non-romantic OTP for this character:
hmm. her friendship with Mogi i guess.
(it’s not necessarily an OTP tho since i don’t have much feelings about their dynamic, but he’s good for her.)
My unpopular opinion about this character:
well, even though she’s a unique and subtly complex character, she still has issues. she was manipulative towards Light, there’s no question about that. in a twisted way i don’t think that, as long as Misa upholds her canon beliefs and attitude about love, she will find a partner in anyone other than an emotionally-distant and manipulative (in a different way) asshole like Light. i think a lesser partner would have caved to her every whim and demand. (that’s why actually, even though i think she deserves somebody that will love her back, i do not wish to actually make Misa/Sayu canon. Sayu deserves a healthy relationship.)
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:
well, depends which canon we’re talking about here. as i have mentioned time and time again, @casuistor and @mikami both wrote an analysis on how, unlike manga!Misa, anime!Misa is actually more cognizant of the one-sided nature of her relationship with Light. so if we’re talking solely about anime canon, then i do wish she’d have seen that Light is not worth her time!! and get Rem out of the “friendzone” before she dies for nothing, please.
my OTP:
Remisa, duh.
my cross over ship:
none. (i rarely get ideas for crossover ships tbh, so unless there’s a well-written fic that can convince me of the dynamic of a particular crossover ship, i’ll just stick to my high school concepts of Wayfire and Howellight… hmm yeah very subtle about your own history in the RPF community Eugenia)

Fanfic MST: ITS MY LIFE!, a Portal fanfic [part 12]
Oh yes, friends, it’s back! It’s been entirely too long (two years too long, to be exact) and I hope you’re all ready for some more vaguely Portal-flavored nonsense.
No real warnings for this chapter, just typical MarissaTheWriter ridiculousness. And canon character death, maybe, depending on whether or not you take the events of this chapter at face value (and, if I remember this story correctly, you probably shouldn’t).
Recap: Chell and GLaDOS have fused into one entity, P-body is pregnant, and Marissa for some reason decided that Rattman is the only one who can prevent disaster even though dude is strictly a non-action guy. She located him and now the two of them are planning on taking down the Chell/GLaDOS fusion.
Chapter 1
Previous chapter
AN YOU GUYSARE ALL SO WEIRD! YOU WERE GIVIN ME GOOD REVIEWS THEN YOU SAY IM A TROLL AN THAT YUR GONNA KILL ME AN PUT SALT IN MY THINGS?
That is pretty weird, yeah.
(I’m not even sure what she’s referencing. Maybe a play on “assault”?)
IF IT WERENT FOR THE PEPOLE HOO REALLY LICK MY STORY LIKE THE BUZINESS GUY AN SEPHRAL AN CAT NOT BOUNCY ID STOP IT RITE NOW!
I dunno who Sephral is, but “the buziness guy” is user ASBusinessMagnet (later a recurring character in MarissaTheWriter’s stories; I’m pretty sure we got married at one point), and “Cat Not Bouncy” is Tumblr user catbountry, who was going by “Not Cat Bountry” on Fanfiction dot net and who did a dramatic reading.
PS - I NO THAT GLADOS IS SPELLED GLADOS I CALLED HER FUSION CHELLGADOS BECOS CHELL ALREADY HAS THE LS AN IT SOUNDED MORE COOLER!
See, I told you she’d explain that. All makes sense now, right? Perfectly logical writing decision.
ITS MY LIFE!
CHAPTER TWELF: THE FINAL BATTLE
Bit of a misnomer, since this is not, in fact, the final chapter.
(Actually, if I remember correctly, MarissaTheWriter may have been writing by the seat of her pants; it’s possible she initially intended this as the True and Honest Final Battle.)
Ratman an I were goin thru the air ducks to get to CHELLGADOSs layer were the final show down wold be.
Oh my god, she means her lair, not her layer. That literally took me years to figure out. Holy fuck.
Wheatly was growlin an tryin to be scarry becos he didant have weapons so he was lick are cheer leader.
Considering what happens when Wheatley actually tries to be the bad guy, I think this is preferable.
We intered the layer an saw CHELLGADOS buildin turrents but these ones was speshal becos they cold walk a round an shoot an stuff!
Hey, I played Portal 2, I saw the turret assembly line. It’s pretty much autonomous. She doesn’t have to build them herself, and honestly I think she’d find it beneath her.
But maybe things have changed since I left the building.
"INTURDER!" One of the turrents called to CHELLGADOS. CHELLGADOS looked at me with all the angry she ever had.
That’s a phenomenal amount of anger. Surprised Marissa didn’t combust on the spot.
"Marrissa Roberts you have interfeared with my plans for the last time becos now I will kill you."
All right! Time for some murder!
Then she seed Ratman an got more angry. "RATMAN IS A LIFE? NOW YOU WILL BOTH DYE!"
I doubt she cares about killing Rattman, considering that she didn’t do so before and that he poses basically no threat on his own. Like I said… non-action guy.
CHELLGADOS taked out her portal gun wich was modified to shoot bullets lick a reel gun but cold shoot portals to just in case.
Okay, but does it really shoot bullets? I ask because the turrets use spring-loaded action in order to fire the entire bullet, which is obviously a hell of a lot less effective despite delivering more bullet per bullet. Explains why Chell can take so many hits without dying.
Point being, there’s no evidence Aperture Science knows how guns are supposed to work.
She fired the portal gun an it hit Ratman with a boom an I thot he was dead for sure.
But Ratman gotted up!
What? Is he still alive?
"Silly CHELLGADOS you cannt hurt me becos..." He pulled down his pants an I saw that he had replased his man thingys with... the space an rick cores!
…I know we’re leading up to a “balls of steel” joke, and I shan’t comment on that, but this raises so many goddamn questions. How do you replace your testicles with personality cores? A personality core is a hell of a lot bigger, and heavier, than a human testicle. Also, Space Core is in space, so how did Rattman get ahold of him? Did he shrink the cores somehow? How did this make him immune to bullets? How did he fit two personality cores in his pants? Why did he need to flash everybody?
My brain is hurting over this and I know it’s only in the story because the author wanted to make a stupid pun. Moving the hell on.
"IVE GOT BALLS OF STEEL!" (Thats from a game called Duke Nukum Forever its funny) The space core was still thing he was in space but Rick was mad at been one off Ratmans tentacles.
One of his tentacles? Are we in a hentai now?
"Well then ill just portal you into space like Wheatly an see how you like it you wont!" CHELLGADOS shooted a nother portal unner Ratmans feet an he was sucked into s space. "No dont you are my dotter Chell!" Ratman yelled as he got sucked in.
Uh… what? How? I thought Marissa and Chell were both Cave and Caroline’s kids in this story. Wasn’t that established several chapters ago?
"OMG HOW?" CHELLGADOS an me said at the same time to gether. "It all storted a long time ago..." Ratman gave us the down lo as he was just barely hanging on to the portal. "I used to work for Gabe Jonson affer he changed his name to Cave in onor of his dead brother. Caroline was got shot as you no Marrissa an was put in a robot body that was called... GLaDOS!"
Right, we know. How is he hanging on to the portal? Can you do that? I don’t think you can do that.
CHELLGADOS o-mouthed at his shockin words.
Did she forget she spent the beginning of this story being a goth emo over the revelation that she used to be human? Like… this isn’t news anymore.
"Gabe new he wold have to dotters named Marrissa an Chell but since GLaDOS was a prototip she an Cave coldnt make baby normal way an instead used the artificial enseamanation an grew test toob babys.
Hey, what the fuck is the “normal way” to have sex with a giant robot? Seriously, please inbox me if you know. It’s for a friend. I swear.
But there was a miksup an my dna got used instead of Gabes for one of the toobs that toob was... CHELL!" Then Rutman coldnt hold on any longer an fell into space an died.
Why did Aperture Science have a sperm sample from Rattman on file? How did they get DNA from Caroline, since her physical human body no longer exists? How does Rattman know about the mixup? Who carried the baby to term? How did two white people birth a woman of color? How did two white people birth a woman of color? I don’t know if I brought this up earlier in the MST, but I am directing that question at every “Chell is Cave and Caroline’s daughter” theorist too. You’re not off the fucking hook.
Then CHELLGADOS started shackin an looked funny. Chell was fightin back a gainst GLaDOSs control! "Marrissa there is not much time left you must kill me to stopped GLaDOS once and four all!"
Okay, but we know what happens when Marissa kills Chell — thanks to having consumed the “zombie taters,” Chell will just turn into a zombie. You don’t want the most tenacious woman in the world after your brains, but especially not when she’s fused with the most massive collection of wisdom to ever exist, who also hates you.
I o-mouthed becos Chells brane damage was cured so now I coldnt put her out of MISERY lol.
That’s actually not the concern I expected Marissa to have. She has no problem killing disabled people, but being fused with a homicidal AI who is using your body as her puppet is A-OK, even when the victim is begging for death?
Man, this girl could use some new priorities.
"But I cannt kill you Chell yur my sister there must be a nother way! Chell got sad "Hurry GLaDOS is takin control!" An she started lollin with evil. There was no way I cold kill Chell an then I rembered that GLaDOS used to be Carlion an that made me not want to kill herr neither.
Yeah, and remember how she used to be a well-written and complex character who cannot be reduced to a mere villain and who actually likes Chell so much she keeps writing songs about it?
Sorry, there I go talking about canon again.
"Bloody hell Marrissa shes powerin up!" Wheatly screemed from inside my jump soot an I looked up an saw CHELLGADOS was floatin in air an electric stuff was comin out off her. "THANKS MARRISSA YUO REMINDED ME THAT I USED TO BE CARALIN SO I REMBERED THAT I HAVE POWERS TOO!"
Hey, uh, what the fuck?
I o-mouthed, that dumb ingineer forgot to make it so only I gotted the powers! I didant no what to do now an it seemed hope less when a herd a sound. "Hey b**** were heer for backup!" It was... ATLAS AN P-BODY!
Who are they here to back up?
"OMG why are you jersk helpin me?" I asked while o-mouthin from the shock. "Becos CHELLGADOS is half yur sister an we dont lick you so we dont lick Chell neither!" Atlas eksplained. "An I rembered that you gave us the drugs an beer in the first place so if it wasnt for you we woldnt have drugs an beer!" P-Body added an Atlas nodded like yeah!
I guess that’s reasonable. I, too, feel indebted to those who give me drugs and beer.
We started ti fire are portal guns at CHELLGADOS an the portals combined to make a big portal black hole.
Co-op mode would benefit from the inclusion of this feature, I think.
"OH SH**!" CHELLGADOS screamed as the GLaDOS parts were all sucked out off Chell.
Should have attached them better, I guess.
Ones all of GLadOS was gone we closed the portal an Chell falled down on the ground. "Chell I safed you!" I rant to my sister an gave her hug. "Marrissa Im sorry, but the damaje from GLaDOS was to much..."
“…not to mention, having my butt sliced off after someone used their powers a little too recklessly…”
An she dyed in my arms. "Nooooo Chell my sister you are died!" I cried soooo much an Whealty cried to becos they was frends even Atlas an P-Body looked kinna sad.
Isn’t Chell gonna turn into a zombie now or are we not doing the zombie stuff anymore? Was that only because she was brain-damaged? This fic is confusing.
I put down Chells body an stand up when there was a clikclak nose be hind me.
Oh no! Not a clikclak nose!
"LOL we tricked you to get yur guard down Marrissa! Now die b****!" An Atlas an P-Body lolled an shot me in head.
I’ve probably mentioned it before, but I love that the author of this mess has no problem writing over-the-top violence but feels the need to censor the word “bitch.”
"Marrissa!" Wheatly screamed an ever thing got really black an I died.
Love the prose.
TO BE CONTINUED?
Yes, indeed, we’re not done with this fic yet!
OH NO MARRISSA IS DIED!
Oh, yes.
CAN WHEATLY SAFE HER?
Well, seeing as she’s dead, I think it may be a bit late for that.
FIND OUT IN THE NEXT ONE PS IM THINKIN OF MAYBE WRITIN A SPINNOFF A BOUT TEEN FORTRESS 2 AN GABE JONSON AN CARALION LIVIN IN PORTAL HIGH SCHOOL WHAT DO YOU GUYS THIN?
She actually did write that spinoff, by the way. I’ll put my MST of it up on this blog at some point.

Being Together is Enough Part 1 - Zig x MC Fanfic
Tumblr media
Being Together is Enough Part 1 - Zig x MC Freshman Fanfiction.
[Tiny Note: A little something I’ve been working on. I’m a big fan of Zig so I suppose it isn’t a surprise that I was writing about him again LOL. Erm, originally it was supposed to be just a one-shot, but then I got carried away and decided to write more  (¬‿¬) as per usual whenever I write about anything. So here’s part 1; more of an introduction for part 2 the really good stuff. Thoughts? Criticisms? Likes and dislikes? All are welcomed here!]
[Summary: Falling for someone has never been easy and it’s terrifying when it’s a new experience, especially when that person happens to be your local barista. Are Zig and MC finally ready to take their relationship to the next level?]
She walked as briskly as she could muster across Hartfeld’s massive campus. Disgruntled after a long week of class presentations and studying had left her with the self-satisfaction that only students felt after getting through a particularly coarse week. She was looking forward to taking it easy with the upcoming weekend now in sight.
A list of unwanted chores waited at home. There was laundry she’d forgotten to finish, it was her turn to clean the bathroom, and a paper that she had to look over before handing it in the following week. These were all things that should be at the forefront of her mind. But all that could wait, because right now all she wanted to do was peel off her dress and soak her tired feet into the tub. It wasn’t often that she found herself so worn out, but when she did it took a lot to of effort to keep herself from falling asleep on her feet.
Between classes, working on her novel and spending more time outside of home; she was probably spreading herself thin. Already she could feel her eyes dropping a little and was fortunate enough that her dorm was a short walk away.
She pursed her lips as her thoughts drifted towards him. And if she was being honest with herself, he was probably the biggest reason why she hadn’t much time for anything else. A whole month of sporadic dates, bumping into each other across Hartfeld and catching quick drinks before his shift started were all factors that she considered. No matter the time, if he proposed a night out or early morning breakfast – she accepted in a heartbeat.
Maybe she was in way over her head. Maybe they should slow it down. Or maybe this was what she’d always been missing. She’d dated guys before but never anything like this. Never anyone that she thought of so much, and ended up wondering if he thought about her as much in return.
She wanted to blame him, curse him for being so irresistible but there was more to it than that. Whenever they were in the same space, whenever they were alone – she couldn’t explain it. The closest thing that came to mind was magic. Time didn’t seem to exist anymore and hours had always felt like minutes. Their easy-going conversations and companionable moments of silence made her feel as if they were the only two people in the world.
Just thinking about him caused her mouth to twitch before stretching into a smile and sent her heart racing a little faster. She touched her cheeks briefly, feeling quiet surprise at the heat she felt there. She couldn’t think about him without being reminded of all the times they’ve slept together. Sweaty bodies tangled within sheets or her back pressed up against some wall whenever they didn’t have the patience for privacy, their desperate hands seeking to sink into each other in an attempt to find a quick release of all the tension between them.
She bit her bottom lip, suddenly overwhelmed with a desire to see him. This was how it usually started; with one of them wanting to see the other until someone eventually cave in. It was like a little game of cat and mouse to see who could hold out the longest before surrounding entirely at the whim of the other person. Prior to the last time they spent the night together, she vowed that she wouldn’t be the first time to cave in this time. In fact, she was secretly keeping scores; two for two and wanting to break their tie meant keeping away from him since Wednesday.
Trying to push those thoughts aside, she entered the dorm with a small smile to greet her suitemates.
Abbie and Tyler were on the couch, binge watching The Sword and the Flame. She remembered being dimly reminded that they called dibs on their space all week in preparation for the third season premiere. Sitting cross-legged beside them was Zack, his eyes fixated on his phone. There were two box of pizzas on the coffee table.
The other half of her roommates were nowhere in sight.
“Hey guys, what’s up?” She tried to keep the exhaustion out of her tone. She wanted to keep this short and friendly, considering she hadn’t seen much of them lately. “How far are you into season two?” She asked, jerking her chin towards the television set.
Abbie dragged her eyes away from it first. Something remarkable must have been happening on screen because it captivated Tyler’s focus. He didn’t acknowledge her greeting. “Kenna’s gathering her army at Stormholt – last minute preparations, and talking with everyone before the big season finale.”
Few seconds later, Tyler finally managed to divert his attention long enough to nod, enthusiasm evident as his eyes beamed at her with apparent excitement. “It’s leading up to one of the greatest scenes in fantasy history.” He proclaimed.
“You know for people that have already seen this whole show – you’re both acting as if it’s your first time.” She was amused by how much they adored it. She was a fan herself of the show herself, but never could re-watch an entire series.
“What can I say? We’re hardcore fans.” Tyler replied, shrugging.
“Besides, we’re trying not to ruin Zack’s experience.” Abbie said sneaking a glance at him. She reached for the remote and paused the show.
At the sound of his name, Zack glanced up from his phone. He blinked at the rest of his friends in dismay. “Hmm? Did I miss something?”
Abbie rolled her eyes, “Only most of the episode.” Abbie grumbled. Her suitemates knew she wasn’t one to hold back on her thoughts when it came to her friends.
Tyler elbowed her in an attempt to reprimand her short fuse. This happened a lot when they binge watched with Abbie.
“You’d miss less if you were paying attention.” Abbie insisted, folding her arms.
“Oh no, don’t you dare try to make me feel guilty!” Zack wagged his eyebrows at her. “You’re using me as an excuse to re-watch the show.” He tried to appear wounded but she could hear the unmistakable teasing in his tone.
Tyler grimaced, feeling the heavy burden that guilt carried while Abbie quickly tried to deflect. “True, we’d have probably watched it anyway,” Abbie gestured in between them, “But we wouldn’t have as much fun.” A gleeful expression crossed her face, “– seeing your reactions to all the best moments on the show – like Dom training his fire magic with Sei, or Kenna’s time with the monks during the first season.”
“Or the episode when Kenna charmed those mercenaries and spared Severin’s life.” Tyler added.
“Not to mention all the heartwarming moments between Kenna and Gabriel.” She muttered from beside them. Those were some of her favorite moments.
Abbie nodded in agreement. “We wanted to watch it with you so that you could experience everything firsthand. Plus, your reactions so far have been pretty hilarious.”
Zack flushed, “That was only one time! I thought Dom was gonna to die while he was in the spirit world.”
“We didn’t. We never lose faith in him.” Tyler said before exchanging high-fives with his girlfriend.
“What was it that Chris said? A couple that ships together stays together?” She teased, shaking her head ruefully and watching them laugh at the reminder.
“Anyway, it’s basically one of the greatest shows in TV history – especially when Kenna’s in her element kicking ass.” She thumped her fist.
“Or the moments when Dom uses his awesome fire magic.” Tyler interrupted, not wanting them to forget just how cool his powers were.
“Or the moments when Val’s unintentionally hilarious.” She added, earning her a look from Abbie. She hadn’t meant to interrupt Abbie’s rant but she knew she had to stick up for her favorite characters. “Basically, there’s a lot of good reasons why – plus you’re almost at the end!”
Zack rubbed his chin. “Well when you put it that way…” He trailed off.
Abbie’s expression softened when her eyes drifted towards Zack. “And you looked a little down lately; we figured this would be a fun pick-me-up.”
“Thanks, I appreciate it.” Zack said with a light smile, sounding sincere. “I’m glad you guys are always so supportive.” He glanced at his phone again as Abbie and Tyler snuggled closer before un-pausing the show.
A second later, Zack’s phone began ringing. “Ah, it’s Brandon guys – ”
“Go, go –” Abbie made shooing gestures with her hands. “We understand.”
After shooting them an apologetic smile, Zack disappeared down the hall. They heard his door close as Abbie paused the episode again. “We should probably wait.” Abbie mumbled, sharing a mutual look of agony with Tyler. “Just until he gets back.”
“But this is sucha good scene.” Tyler whimpered. He tried to keep the objection out of his voice as he reached for slice of pizza.
Abbie leaned forward and took a bite from of his before sighing. “I know how you feel.” She kissed his cheek and squeezed his hand affectionately. “But it’ll be worth the wait once we see Kenna riding into battle with Dom in all his dragon glory.”
Tyler murmured something low under his breath, earning a laugh from Abbie.
“On that note, I think I’ll leave you guys to it.” She still had her own set of work to do after all, and even though it was Friday – it was better to have a head start on them instead of letting them pile up. “I should probably get started on the bathroom.” She could barely suppress the urge to yawn after those words trailed from her mouth.
Abbie seemed to have noticed. “This week was pretty tough for all of us.” Giving her a sympathetic smile, Abbie added. “You could always put off all the stuff you need to until tomorrow. We don’t mind.”
She shook her head. “It’s my night to do it. What’s the point of having a schedule if we don’t follow it?” She didn’t wait for a response and stole a slice of pizza from the box on the table. She ignored their protests before strolling down the hall, her feet half dragging behind her.
Not long after changing and scrubbing the bathroom tub, she found herself sinking down to the floor. Her earlier exuberance at getting a head start was nearly lost and she wondered dimly how she was going to get through the rest of the weekend. She took comfort in pressing her back against the tub’s cool porcelain steel as she took a moment to catch her breath.
The sound of knocking from the door made her glance up. Taking a few seconds to steel herself, she stood before poking her head out and met Abbie’s careful expression. “Hey Abbie, I’m just about done here.”
“That’s not why I came in to bug you.” Abbie cleared her throat. “I’m actually just letting you know that Zig showed up at our door.”
“Oh?” She couldn’t hide the surprise inside her voice. “Did he just get here?”
“Yeah, he said he tried your cell but you weren’t answering.” Abbie said, frowning. “I told him you were busy but he didn’t budge - said he wanted to ‘whisk you away’.”
“Oh right, I left my phone back here this morning.” She laughed shortly. She felt an unmistakable amount of pleasure at the idea of him missing her. Two days had never felt so long and although she didn’t want to admit it; she missed him too. “Uh, sure – just tell him to give me a second.”
She thought about her own tousled blonde hair, the fact that there were probably stains underneath her fingernails and dusts across her overalls from kneeling on the floor. She wasn’t the slightest bit prepared. But none of that seemed to matter as she quickly edged past Abbie to get to her room. It didn’t seem to matter because the mere thought of him waiting for her evenloped her stomach in tiny of indubitable burrerflies.
And frankly, the rest of the world could wait a little longer.

Strong language and Blood… and well I need to twist it a little bit so my Story works… sawwy…don’t hate meh! >. !!!! I MUST WARN YOU!! THIS IS HELLA LONG !!!!! Familytree Forrester: Lord Forrester(Father), Lady Forrester(Mother), Ryon Forrester(sixt born, youngest son), Talia Forrester(only girl, fifth born), Ethan Forrester(fourth born), Mira Forrester(third born, Works for Lady Margery in Kings Landing), Asher Forrester(second born, Banish for an affair with Gwyn Whitehill, daughter of Ludd Whitehill), Rodrik Forrester(first born, future Lord of house Forrester) -> https://www.ablogofthrones.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Forrester-Family-Tree.jpg Please read so you understand my Story!!: House Forrester is known to make the best Weapons of Ironwood. Their oldest Enemie is the House Whitehill, unluckyly for them they weren’t as good as the Forresters and always stood beneath them. Also did the Forrester stand under the Protection of the Warden of the North, Robb Stark. But due a Cowardly act from their so called ‘allies’, Lord Forrester and Rodrik were killed in a attack. Unprepared and happyly drinking they never had expected their allies to stab them in the back. Due this Corward like act the Starks lost power… all of them were killed and the Boltons were the new Wardens of the North. The Whitehills, who stood under the banner of the Boltons, now used this to attack their Enemy, the Forresters. But the house was strong and they’d never bent to him. So like the Coward he is, Ludd Whitehill called Ramsay Snow(then he still was called snow.), for help. Ethan was after Rodriks death the new Lord… But Ramsay didn’t like a bold Lord… so he got rid of him. Not caring Ramsay stabbed the poor young boy in his throat, killing him infront of his Family. With that Ramsay went away again… But somehow the gods still watched over house Forrester, because Rodrik survived and found his way back home. Your Story: Lord Forrester was your Uncle. You lived with your Mother in Ironrath till you turned 6 years old. Everything seemed to be okay… till Lord Forrester found out about your little friendship with Gwyn Whitehill(10 years). Both of you knew your houses hated each other… but hell who cared? You two were only Children then… But the hatred was to big… he forbid you, your friendship… but due the stubborness of the Forrester you disobeyed and started to sneak out to meet her. You two were like sisters… and your Mother knew. But secrets always come out.. so when the Lord found out he banished you and your Mother from Ironrath. It wasn’t a easy live for you and your Mother… but someday she met a noble Men.. a Lord. He accepted that she already had a child if she promised to give him another one. And so she did… and their life of running away finally was over. Of course they changed their name but still… You, you held onto the name Forrester because.. a Forrester is always a Forrester and you never lost contact with Talia. Due the time you had to run you learned to be a good fighter and Huntress… and due the fact you lived close to Ironrath, you would catch yourself to every so often go into the woods near there… - Today, It is a beautiful Sunny day with a warm wind stroking over the treecrowns. - As always (Y/N) left her horse a little bit farther back in her hideout. She had found this little hidden Cave on one of her many adventures through the Forest of Ironrath. It was hidden well enough, so no one ever found it so no one could steal anything. Today was a perfect day for the Hunt, even though Whitehill Soldiers were patroling through the forest. (Y/N) slowly took her bow and skillfully pulled the string back, holding the bow perfectly still. She had been following this deer for half a day now. A sudden rustle infront of her made her head snap up. ‘There you are!’ She thought letting go of the string. The Arrow pierced through the air and hit the target, which let out a river of curses….. Wait… what? Since when do Deers spek? Putting the Bow on her back the (H/C) haired girl slowly walked closer, pulling a knife from her holdster.

“Seven fu**ing HELLS!!” A voice roared, making the girl jump. From behind a tree (Y/N) finally could see the source of the cussing. It was a quiet handsome Men, with black hair and a slight beard. She watched as said stranger tried to pull out the arrow. He didn’t do a very good job… even from this distance she could tell he was only making it worse. “Wait! Don’t.“ She didn’t even realize she said that until her eyes locked with his. Letting out a sigh, said girl stepped outside of the shadows tucking her knife away. "You’re making it worse..” She said slowly stepping closer. The mens brows furrowed as he sent a glare at the girl. (Y/N) stopped shortly in her tracks. “I am not here to hurt you.” She said calmly stepping closer again. “Oh aren’t ya, eh? And I am sure it was the Deer who shot me in my FU**ING LEG?!” The poor girl winced at his sudden outburst. “Okay… I am not here to hurt you on purpose…?” She tried again, making the man raise an eyebrow at her. “Whatever, get out of my sight before I decide to slaughter you.” He sneered going back to trying to pull out the arrow. “Now that trick I’d like to see with the arrow still in your leg.” She sassed back at him. His head snapped up at her words. Did she not know who he was? Well clearly not or she wouldn’t be this bold. 'Oh this was going to be a fun game.’ He thought to himself, a small smirk making itself shown on his lips. “Don’t tempt me to do it. I’ve had worse.” The girl raised an eyebrow at him. “Did you now?” She mumbled. She then stepped beside him and kneelt down beside his leg with the arrow still stuck. “Geez you men are all the same… rude, vain and always try to be the Alpha…-” (Y/N) said as she examed the wound, making the Male sent her another glare again, which went unnoticed from said girl. “If you'd kept this up, you wouldn’t have been able to walk for at least a Month.. but I think I can save you from that." (Y/N) looked up again when she finished, wanting to ask if he could hold still… that’s when she noticed how close they were now. Due her examination she seemed to have crept closer and the men seemed to have leaned in as well, wanting to see what she was doing. Their Noses were almost touching but noone of them moved an inch. He wanted to say something, make her feel embarassed but nothing came out. (Y/N) finally snapped out of it and quickly scrambled backwards a bright red blush appearing on her cheeks. "Uh… can you- can you hold still?” She mumbled embarassed quickly getting everything out she needed for the treatment. And yet again he smirked at her cute behavour. 'Cute?! The hell are you thinking? It must be the blood loss…’ He thought to himself. While he was caught in his thoughts he didn’t notice the woman step closer again. But a sudden sharp pain made him bite back a scream of pain. “Seven FU**ING HELLS!!!" He said through gritted teeth as he sent a glare her way. That’s when he noticed the Arrow in her hand and a worried…? look on her face. "Oh Dear I am so sorry! I just thought it would be better if it’s over quickly and well… you were in thought and I just thought… I am sorry, you okay?” She finally asked after her rambling. His eyes widened slightly at that. She really had no idea who he was… but somehow he liked it. It was the first time someone really cared about his pain. “ ’s fine…” He answered as he watched her starting to clean his wound. Ramsay was watching her intently as she worked on his leg. His eyes wandered from her slender fingers upwards towards her clevage(Nawww that’s dirty! You little Bad Boy!!), and then further up towards her face. His eyes graced her every feature and he had to admit… she was quiet beautiful, even though her hair was a little messy. Probably from being in the forrest all day. Luckyly for him this thoughts distracted him enough so he didn’t feel the pain, when the needle pierced through his skin. “All done… should be good in a few days.. but you should show it to a Maester, just to be sure.” She said smiling softly at him.

Ramsays eyes followed her as she got up and seemingly getting ready to leave. Before he could even register what he was doing, Ramsay shot up. He wanted to ask for her name but all that came out was a strangled noise of pain. The girls eyes shot towards him, as she quickly was by his side. "Are you alright?!” She asked worriedly. The male hissed again as he remembered how he got here… A plot against him… These damn Bastards stabbed him in his Stomache.. “Yes I’m fine.. You can go now..” He grumbled. (Y/N) squinted her eyes at him not really beliving what he said. She then noticed he was holding onto his stomach. “Remove your hand.” She said trying to pry away his hand already. "No! The hell leave me alo- AGH!" Ramsay let out a his yet again when she finally could pull his hand away. A gasp left the girls lips. "Why didn't you tell me?! This could kill you!" She gasped, seeing the now fresh blood flowing again. Finally realizing just how much blood he had lost till now, Ramsays vision started to get blurry slowly. 'No.. Not now.' He thought trying to stay awake. He still didn't trust this girl and while everything around him started to fade he knew... If this girl was an Enemy he'd be fu**ed. As he slowly closed his eyes he still could hear her shouting. After what felt for him like Minutes he slowly opened his eyes again, groaning at the bright light. As his eyes finally got used to the light again, Ramsay finally could look around. He was near a small river and it seemed he was still in the very same forest. Looking beside him he finally caught sight of the Woman, who was very much asleep. He smirked slightly at that as he scooted closer slowly. Ramsays eyes traveled up and down her Body again taking everything in. She was quiet beautiful.... how he'd love to hear her scream. It would be so easy now, to hurt her, make her scream... but he didn't.. instead his hand softly caressed her cheek. Even though the soft touch, (Y/N) woke up. Her hand shot upwards and grabbed his wrist making him stop. Her (E/C) eyes shot open to be met with Ramsays bright blue ones. His eyebrows were raised in confusion and a smirk was dancing across his lips. "No need to fret.. I won't hurt you..... Much." He said with a teasing tune in his voice. (Y/N) laughed slightly at that. "I see you are feeling better." With that said she slowly got to her feet, dusting the dirt off, of her dress. "Very Well, I need to go now... show that wound better to a Maester." She chirped and started to walk back towards her hideout. But a hand on her wrist stopped her. "Wha-!?" She couldn't finish as Ramsay spun her around. The next thing she realized was a soft warm feeling on her lips. But as soon as it came... it was gone again. "W-wha... why?" (Y/N) started to stumble over her words. Ramsay had a (Sexy!!!!) smirk on his face. "I-I don't even know your Name.. a-a-and you just..." Ramsay placed a finger on her lips shushing her. "Ramsay, My name is Ramsay Snow." (Y/N) heart dropped at this. Of course... when she finally fell in Love with someone it had to be a Psychotic Murderer that also killed her Cousin, Ethan. Said men was watching her expression change from shocked, to confused and at least to... hurt? "My Name is (Y/N) Forrester." Finally he understoof the girls confusion. 'A Forrester? I have Sympathie for a freaking Forrester?!' He thought, clenching his jaw. But then he suddenly relaxed and his frown turned into a smile. He took a step closer again and placed his hands on both sides of her face. Pulling her closer again he kissed her with more passion. And this time she kissed back. But just as it was about to get deeper he pulled away again. A squeak left her mouth as Ramsay suddenly scooped her up into his arms and started to walk, ignoring the girls protests. What he said next surprised the girl, making her keep quiet. "I don't like your Name.. Let's change that, Eh?"
