i love oc's but it is damn hard to get them off the ground sometimes. even more so, i feel, when your fc is a person of color (all of my fc's are asian, for context) and that is why i go extra hard for original characters of color because i feel like they tend to get overlooked a little bit.

i think part of it is also because there are more resources for white actors than there are for people of color. of course nowadays there's more than there was in 2012 but still, it's probably easier to find resources for f/lorence p/ugh than for k/im a/dis.

i wonder about why it's so hard to get oc's off the ground sometimes, aside from the aforementioned things above. is it because people have certain expectations deep down inside that they haven't really challenged and maybe said expectations bleed over into the characters they write? "oh, your muse is asian so they'll only be soft and sweet and gentle and demure and nothing else," because that's often how we're portrayed in the west and it's easier to project that image onto others. we're either mathematical nerds or geniuses or soft, sweet people in need of rescue from our respective cultures.

(also for context: a white muse, written by a presumably white mun, once unloaded on one of my characters with, i feel, the unspoken expectation that my character would just give that muse advice and make that muse feel better in character. she didn't, she got angry, cussed and cried.)

that's also why i wrote udyati the way i did: she's got dyscalculia so she's not a mathematical genius; she was never that good at school stuff and sure, she may be a sweetheart but she can very much hold her own in combat.

and maybe other people are like: "that's got nothing to do with it; your fc is not why your oc gets overlooked - if you feel like your oc gets overlooked, you should be better at putting your oc out there."

i get that, i do, believe me, but i also do think it's a factor. at least, subconsciously.

part of it, i think, is also learning how to grow thicker skin. because not everyone will like your oc and not everyone will follow back and not everyone will give you the respect you give them.

sometimes you just have to cut your losses and move on.

i've been here for more than twelve years now and i've arrived at the point where i rb what i like, when i like because it's about having fun, regardless whether someone follows me back or not. we're out here playing virtual barbies, after all. so at the end of the day, it's not that deep. but people do forget sometimes, i feel, that there is another person behind the screen who put in a lot of time and effort to craft an original character from the ground up, a person who didn't have canon - whether it's books or a tv show or a movie - to fall back on.

honestly, i'm so happy to have found a circle of great friends that i write and vibe with across the board, but i also know how hard it is not to get discouraged when you reblog memes and nothing gets sent in, or when you write starters and they go unanswered so that's why i try to at least send in a headcanon question whenever i can / whenever inspiration strikes because i don't want anyone to feel left out.

but i can't be the first one to reach out, and send asks and write starters all the time. sometimes you need to be the first. and i know that's scary. i know a lot of people have anxiety, but sometimes it is up to you to step out of your comfort zone and make the first step. you can't expect others to make the first step all the time. it doesn't work like that; this is a two way street and a collaborative hobby, after all.

anyway, all that aside, at this point, i prefer writing oc's and minor characters that may as well be oc's because some of the best dynamics i've been fortunate enough to write out with friends came from those matchups (jedibeth; khiren; pollou/polloucil; harry x udyati) and because writing out those dynamics have been so healing to me.

i've grown up barely seeing myself represented on screen or in the pages of a book. i've never seen anyone that looks like me be a main character or a proper love interest, so it's nice that i can do that now - even if it's years down the line.

also, if you write an oc: i love you and send them over to me so i can ask headcanon questions (which, yes, is my love language).

I see the vision for Mindy+Altra interactions because there's the potential for a funny contrast between them since Altra's more serious and responsible while Mindy is of course a terrifying evil scammer but also very cheerful and silly (and also one of them is a terrifying chimeric abomination and it's probably not Mindy), and with Anabel there's the potential for something more serious and plot-driven because she investigates basically the Pokémon equivalent of cryptids and SCP entities so there could be some conflict or drama with Altra not being Quite Human(tm)

the main thing that makes me a little hesitant about anabel is that i don't want to put her in a position where she's like the big bad cackling villain that should get clowned on which isn't something i think you specifically would do but a bitch is vigilant and so she would require a lot more plotting than mindy

Sidney is also an option because I think they could be a fun duo but I'm still cooking about how to include him in the Altraverse in a way that doesn't clash with the tone

experience in RP — As of this...er, season, I'll have been roleplaying off and on for the past 24 years. I started roleplaying in autumn 1999 (my middle school RP days were indeed something). Should I have a celebration for when I hit a quarter century of roleplaying experience? Quarter life crisis?

best experiences — I don't want to boil the best experiences down to specific muses/muns/storylines, but the best way I can describe them are these: when I first started roleplaying, it was in the fandom written by the Wizard Lady and roleplaying on AOL/Yahoo/LiveJournal was just so new. There were no real expectations or rules to follow, and while there was plenty of godmodding and things that didn't make sense, it was just ridiculous fun. The second would be every time I'm able to make a friend in the mun I'm writing with and we've got giant plotlines going with all sorts of scenes and situations that allow the muses to grow and develop over time. That is truly the best part of RP for me now.

pet peeves / dealbreakers — I have a few, including but not limited to: super small text, multiple spaces between words for aesthetics (it's hard to read for me!), one-liners/single paragraph replies that aren't dashcomm or crack, uncut threads, giant icons/gifs/Danganronpa sprites, not tagging posts (but especially OOC, aesthetics, and smut), constantly dropped threads while asking for more starters/memes (hiatuses aside), no bios or muse information beyond a name/fandom (for both canon and OC muses), and instant shipping (or after 1-2 threads/interactions. It's not for me).

muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ) — Yes! To all three. My favorite interactions have some fluff, humor, and/or soft situations when the angst gets too angsty, and some angst or conflict when the muses get too settled in and content in the lives. Generally, my least favorite thing to write is action/combat scenes, most fantasy (urban fantasy might be the exception but high fantasy stuff? Not my thing to write), and sci-fi plots. I do write smut and I enjoy writing smut, but I like it in the context of a larger storyline and with a bigger purpose beyond just the muses having sex. It's why you'll never see smut starters on this blog and why, if I'm going to write smut with a mun, I've probably plotted with them about it first.

plot or memes — Plots and memes if I'm unfamiliar with your muse, which is highly likely for anime/video game/comic muses, and anything 'recent' in the past 10-15 years. But I'm fine with just memes if I'm familiar with the fandom/muse or we have past interactions I can build off of. But in general I'm a fan of plotting.

long or short replies — Long replies nowadays, always. Mostly because one-liners and short paragraph replies just aren't fun for me: I feel most creative and enjoy roleplaying more with long replies at this point. And I'm reluctant to spend time writing anything for fun if I'm not having a good time doing it: and short replies, beyond crack or dashcomm, are just not a good time for me.

best time to write — Downtime in the mid-afternoon at work, middle of the evening on workdays (after a rest and dinner), and mid-afternoon until the wee hours of the morning on weekends/days off. Late nights and between breakfast and lunch are just no good for me, writing-wise.

are you like your muse — Unfortunately I am not blonde, European, royalty, conventionally beautiful, and constantly full of optimism. However, I enjoy horror movies (Sonia knows more than I do), chocolate, tea, and much of Sonia's fashion inspiration here because I saw her in DR2 and was just 'classic styles with feminine touches? ballgowns? it's my closet.' I'd be her snarky, pessimistic best friend unable to stop with the quips while telling her 'Sonia bb let me teach you how to make toast it does not involve buttering it before it goes in the toaster.'

Arzhel - "Elodie? She reminds me of a country mouse. But not in a necessarily bad way... rather because she is very energetic, always scurrying from one place to the other, full of boundless energy that sometimes is endearing and sometimes annoys me to no end. She's also really fast, and somewhat cute, but also mischievous and can sneak into almost any place that you can think of. I think a country mouse fits her personality quite well!"

Elodie - "He reminds me of a small, feral fox that will bite anyone that comes near it but is actually just really, really scared. The kind that has been through some shit in life, and thinks everything is out to get them, even if it's just a fallen leaf. The kind of fox that I would wanna pet and share my rations with but then get yelled at by it for getting too close, even though it begrudgingly stays near me regardless. That feral alley animal energy which stems from a lack of hugs as a when that fox was a pup. In other words, someone just really needed love as a kid but didn't get it in time, and so grew up weird. Deimos will probably hate me for this, but fun fact: when he is really pissed off, he sometimes hisses like a cat. I know it's a natural sound for his alien species but for me it sounds like a cat and will always sound like a cat no matter what he says, haha. I'm also legitimately concerned that if someone startles him way too suddenly he might get stabby. Not with his claws, but with his knives. Which is so much worse."

Kane - "Ugh, I know you're gonna say I'm being unimaginative or cliche by saying this, because yes, Dhampyr... but Renn seriously reminds me of a bat. First of all the guy can turn into a giant bat - how am I supposed to not associate him with bats after that?! Second, I don't know. He just has that vibe. Full-time night owl even though he is diurnal, hates waking up early, has that 1000-yard stare that probably pierces straight through your soul, drinks blood, and so on. He is a bat and for me that's the most accurate representation of the dude for me. I'm pretty sure one day I'm walk up to him just chilling upside down on a ceiling and I'm gonna have to accept that as a simple fact of life."

Renn - "Kane reminds me of a peacock. Proud, cocky, 'pretty boy' who wants to be admired so much he forgets to take care of himself and so I and my friends end up having to save him every damn time. Yes, he is a good knight. Yes, the King is a scoundrel for betraying him - and quite honestly for everything else. But also, for the Goddess' sake, why the fuck does Kane have to not think through a single plan in his life before doing it? He is a peacock. I'm sure of it. A very proud and handsome one, but still needs to work on those self-awareness skills urgently."

If you could give rping advice to an amateur, what would be the most valuable?

First things first, your blog: This is the first thing people are going to look at to make a decision if you're suited to them. Doesn't have to be anything fancy. Ensure you have an icon so we don't assume you're a spam bot. Have a bio and/or a rules page so people know what you expect and note if you're 18+/21+ as many adults aren't comfortable role-playing with people under this age for safety reasons. If you're writing a canon character, a bio page can just be a brief summary of who they are and what they're about. If you're writing an OC, a reasonably detailed bio is practically essential. You might know why your muse is awesome, but your prospective partners don't so give everyone the goss on who they are, what makes them interesting, what their backstory is etc.

Next is both the most difficult and probably the next most essential: Have no fear. What I mean by this is not to let insecurity get the best of you. If you love writing, have that be your anchor. Not everyone is going to say yes and that's ok. Not everything works out. Starting out is often the most difficult time because it's easy to feel like no one is interested and that you're doing all the work. I promise you, it will get better if you keep plugging away, but you have to reach out and brave things for a bit. Be kind, be open about what you want, and enjoy every little thing until you get more opportunities.

Good ways of finding partners are to search tags for 'rp masterlists' in fandoms you are interested in e.g. 'marvel rp' or 'potc rp' or even 'open rp'. Scroll down people's blogs and have a look at who else they're playing with, read their rules and pages etc. and see if they have preferences on how to be contacted. Some people will do open starters, some will greet you if you follow them, some accept memes from anyone. If someone mentions you need to be mutuals this means that you have to wait for them to follow you back before they will be open to writing with you. Once they do, check their rules how they like to be contacted. If it's not clear, brave an ask, send a meme, or a private message.

Private messages - best advice for these are not to start off with 'wanna rp?'. I recommend dropping in, saying hi, expressing that you'd be interested in writing and leaving an idea for something you'd be keen on doing should they be interested too. If they're not, thank them and move on. If they are, hooray, make friends and have fun plotting!

An extremely valuable RP tool is the New X-kit and X-kit Rewritten browser extensions. Tumblr is not built to be friendly for role-playing and I couldn't manage without these. Rewritten lets you trim posts so you can get rid of the pesky top post that would otherwise stay when using tumblr's new beta post formats. It helps us keep posts looking neater on our blogs and dashboard, although thankfully tumblr introduced the 'shorten posts' feature to save everyone's eyeballs from super long threads.

General etiquette: Lots of role-players have preferences on how long they prefer replies to be and how often they are active. Trial and error until you find partners that suit you. Ideally check your spelling and grammar if it's not something you're adept at. A big thing not to do is godmodding, which is when you might be tempted to write someone else's character doing something on their behalf. Even if this might mean your post is shorter, do not do this. You must let your partner write all of their own muse's actions. If your muse attempts to do something to their muse, they should be given permission to dictate what happens on their end. It's a give and take relationship to make the best possible fun for both of you.

Other big ones: don't let jealousy get the better of you. There might be duplicates of your muse or you might like someone who gives lots of attention to someone else. It's very easy to get wrapped up in your muses' feelings and get obsessed with gratification. Be gentle with each other, we've all got our own stuff going on, and we all need different things. Be gentle with yourself, too, that's most important!

Hopefully these are some of the basics and are of help! If anyone would like advice on something more specific, please ask, or ask one of these other lovelies for their opinion also.

006. Please leave fandom drama at the door!

Some of the fandoms I write in are notorious for having… contentious views over specific characters, and I do not wish to partake in this. I like my muses, I like writing them, and I will continue to write them. Additionally, I will be writing darker topics (they all will be tagged and under readmores).

If you feel the need to police me for my muses or for the content that I write, I will block you. 007. With the exception of a few, most muses are written as being over 18. This includes muses who may not be canonically that age, but will be with time. All interactions with them being over 18 are set after their canon events. If this bothers you, do not follow me. 008. While I feel I’m not slow, I tend to have a lot of interactions and I will always prioritize my friends over others. This does not mean I do not want to write with you, but you will likely see some partners receiving replies daily while you receive a reply once every few weeks. preferred comms — Depends! I use Tumblr IM until I figure out if I'm actually going to talk to the person. I have, way too many times, added someone to Discord and later removed them when they didn't seem interested in talking. So I stick to Tumblr IMs for a while, then switch to Discord.

name of muse — I'm a multi-muse, so that's a list that's getting a little long. Primary canon muses are Erenville and A'aba Tia. Original characters are A'atahni Tia, Liun'a Jakkaya and X'kijin Lyzej—who is sometimes a Warrior of Light, depending.

experience in RP — I've been role playing since I was... 9? Might have been a bit earlier. Started in an old Inuyasha chatroom before upgrading to forums where I got used to routinely writing 800+ word replies, since it was a requirement in some of those RPs. Moved to Tumblr in... 2014, I think? Been here off and on since.

best experiences — I would hesitate to call anything the best, but probably one of my best experiences would be role playing as of late. I came back to Tumblr with, initially, the intent to write only with existing friends. Instead, I met two people that have become such good friends, that have really rekindled a lot of the love for RP that I used to have. Meeting two people completely by chance and having that friendship extend beyond RP, beyond the ships we share, into playing games, watching movies, partaking of things the others like is really nice and not as common as I feel it used to be.

pet peeves / dealbreakers — Negativity and aesthetics are the obvious ones, as those are in my rules. Apart from that, I hate it when people are passive in their interactions and assume my characters will blindly chase after them. If I receive a starter where a character is sitting quietly, not speaking to anyone, I didn't get a starter. I got exposition so that I could come up with a situation and write a starter for someone who didn't want to write one.

muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ) — I don't really write smut, but I love fluff and angst. Where angst is concerned, I prefer something along the lines of hurt/comfort, not just angst. I find angst and only angst to be a bit overwhelming sometimes.

plot or memes — Either! I like to plot things; I also like winging it. I can usually do either, even for muses that I don't know. The big thing for me is that threads still need to have substance. If things don't feel like they have direction or devolves into pointless small talk, I get bored.

long or short replies — I have a preference for multi-para replies. I feel like anyone following me should know this, just based on the replies that I do. Short replies don't last long for me. I have my fun with them and stop replying once they begin to bore me. I consider them good for testing the waters, but not much else.

best time to write — Late nights. I struggle with being able to focus, so late nights being slower with less going on is probably why I find it easiest to write when it's late. I tend to get more done quicker.

are you like your muse — I like to think most people have something in common with their muses. I definitely share bits and pieces with mine, like X'kijin and I are both chronic nappers. Liun'a puts on a strong front because of trust issues. A'aba is a little on the obnoxious side. Nok'to is commonly referred to as "the anxiety cat". So on and so forth.

experience in RP — Coming up on 17 or 18 years I think? From starting out on forums to avatar games to MMOs, and now I'm primarily writing here on tumblr though there's a bit of forum and tiny amounts of discord tossed in. But the latter feels off to me. I always prefer more public venues with opportunities for sharing and prompting random questions and meeting new people.

best experiences — Here on tumblr, I'd say. I've met some great people and have come through with probably the best characterization some of these muses have ever seen. Won't get into anything too specific, but suffice to say I've kept some people around for yeeeeears for a reason!!

pet peeves / dealbreakers — I've got so many I'm worried for myself. But aside from the obvious lack of response or enthusiasm, unanswered memes and starters, it would be this: People that come to you for writing (repeatedly) while contributing nothing to the plotting or selection process. Anytime someone looks at you and waits for you to paint a picture of an interaction through a roster of muses and genres and then set it up while going "I dunno" to any question asked?

Guhhhh!!! Give me a break!!! RP is a two person activity. Especially when I barely know your characters. Try and sell something to me!

Another thing that's gotten to me in recent years is an over-use of meta commentary and referential humor. I do this sparingly with Wylan, but too much and you feel like you're on an episode of family guy instead of writing a scene or interaction.

muse preference ( fluff, angst, smut ) — I am... an adventure and action and banter kind of guy. Which doesn't really fall under any of these categories. However, the preference would be fluff. Feel good stuff or anything that makes you smile. Angst, I'm not great at, and I've realized I don't care for it when it's sad or angsty for the sake of being sad. Give it purpose, give it a resolution of some kind. I don't much care for bad ends.

As for smut... I'm mixed. I like writing it but after giving it a shot again have accepted I don't much care for things after foreplay if it's in a thread. Headcanons that are lewd? Yes. Answering lewd/nsfw asks? Yes. But the back and forth is kind of eh.

plot or memes — I like adlibbing. And I like improv now and then. There's a pitfall depending on the writing partner with plotting- and it's that you just talk about the plot and the end instead of letting it develop and having things happen. There should be some room for surprises and twists that nobody was expecting. Laying out the whole timeline piece by piece can remove the enthusiasm to.... write it!

Memes are a great way to get started with everyone, especially the situation prompts since it's a little more flexible. I find myself less enthused with contextless sentence prompts lately. And I may start reblogging less of those and letting the more fun ones get a spotlight.

long or short replies — Mixed. I can't novella on command anymore, but depending on the interaction my fingers do get away from me on lengths and what have you. Overall I prefer something in the middle. 400ish words feels comfortable, and conveys enough information without conversations stacking on top of each other. The longer a post goes the more often that seems to happen. And you can get into temporal errors where situations change on past conversations that happened in the same post and.!??!?!? Yeah.

I also do enjoy the occasional banter of one liners and shitposting. But it'll never be the focus of this blog. And is almost guaranteed to get longer over time to the point that it becomes a multi-para thread.

best time to write — When I'm not busy at the office. Quiet space with less things to distract me. I can get into a good productive mindset really fast and knock out multiple drafts in an hour. Feels great. Otherwise I think it's early mornings where I do the best on days off. Evenings are times of distraction, so much distraction.

are you like your muse — I put a little bit of myself in all my muses, otherwise I probably wouldn't be able to relate and make a convincing portrayal or conflict. Wylan used to have a lot more of my traits in the past. But he is far and above his own problematic beast now and I'm glad I don't have as much in common anymore jfc.

I don’t RP with muses who don’t have their rules somewhere. If there’s something where we just won’t be compatible, I’d like to know before we start.

Shipping / Smutting.

I’m not here to ‘smut-and-go’. If you RP purely for smut more power to you, but that’s just not my jam. Smut can and does happen here, but we need to have at least some connection between the muses before it will. And on that note …

Shipping needs to be talked about first. Thera is multiship, male-attracted, and we enjoy shipping. But it’s still not going to be an automatic-everybody thing. If I know the mun well and/or we’ve shipped with other muses, it’s probably already a yes. Otherwise there’s got to be some sort of IC build up and OOC talk as well, to see how we and the muses get along.

No means no. On both sides. If I say no to something I expect you to listen. Conversely, if you say no I’m going to take that as final, so if you change your mind later you need to tell me.

Interaction Please communicate, please reciprocate. As it says at the top this is a hobby, but it’s a hobby we should both enjoy and it’s not enjoyable when something’s all one-sided. Reblogging Memes Please don’t reblog memes or starter lists from me without sending me one. You don't have to send me something, but if you don’t please reblog them from the source instead.

Post length I’m good with any, as long as we’re on the same page. But if I’m doing paras and getting one line back, it makes me wonder if you really want to be doing it at all. If you’re stuck, I’m totally open to waiting, plotting or re-writing.

Starter Calls (mine) Starters take me time, effort and ideas, but a lot of them go unanswered. So, I have a 3-strike rule. If I write you starters you request three times and you don’t reply or let me know there’s a problem, I won’t write any more for you.

Triggers and Tags NSFW or strong violence will be tagged (smut is tagged ‘BadThings’ and 'NaughtyList'), potential triggers as '[thing] tw'. If you need anything specific tagged, let me know (if you have a tag already blacklisted, tell me and I’ll use it).

Likewise, if there’s something you’re not comfortable RPing (or thought you were but then realise you’re not) please say so - I only ask that you do the same for me if needed.

I will not play/write: Infidelity/cheating plots, animal abuse, non-con, dub-con (including A/B/O) or sexual assault. ‘Unrequited crush’ threads need to be talked about first. I’m also very shy of ‘fight’ threads where it’s Thera against someone else’s muse. Her vs random NPCs is fine, but I realise your muse is your baby as much as she is mine, and I’m reluctant to have either of them beat up the other!

Addition: Manipulative/Abusive characters. In short, sorry but no. They can be fascinating characters to watch and explore, but I’ve had to deal with abusive relationships OOC both on and offline, and I do not want to be dealing with them in my RP as well. Villains are on a case by case basis, but muses who are by their canon nature or intended to be played as irredeemably abusive are not. RP is my pretendy-fun-time and that is not fun for me.

God-Modding and Meta-gaming

God-Modding. I write my muse, you write yours, and if in doubt, ask. Please don’t decide for me what she does, thinks or feels (or did before the events of the thread), that your muse has done something major to her, or put her in a certain situation, without running it past me first. Also, ignoring what I’ve just written and continuing as if Thera never said or did something counts as god-modding, too.

Verses are separate unless it's been discussed OOC beforehand. Please don't shoehorn Thera into your own existing group verse without talking about it with me first.

Meta-gaming is giving your muse OOC knowledge IC. There are muses out there powerful enough that they could know things, but please talk to me about it first. Your muse suddenly knowing all about Thera for no IC reason and without asking me is not going to work out.

On those last two points, I also reserve the right to say no.

Anons, Drama, Vague/Guilt-Posting

Anons. Anon hate gets blocked. Next!

Drama. Anyone who flies straight into hate, callouts and encouraging others to harass someone is going to get blocked. I don’t care what your position is, I’ve got no time for that behaviour.

Vague posting/Guilt tripping. If you do this regularly, aimed at me or anyone else, you’ll be unfollowed and I likely won’t interact with you again. We all lapse sometimes, but if you’re always making nasty comments every time a partner does something you don’t like, this is going to apply.

Trying to pressure or guilt me into RPing with you is going to have the opposite effect to what you want. Asking if I saw a post or reminding me once or twice is fine, talking to me directly about a problem, likewise. Messages specifically intended to make me feel bad for not replying/RPing with you are not.

hiiiii i updated my rules! posting here for my mutuals but will also be updating my blog/card.

ADULTS ONLY: Blog 21+, will not write with anyone younger.

OOC COMMUNICATION: I am not always the best with messaging, so if I take a while to get back to you, please don't take that as a slight! I'm just terrible at remembering to respond. I have a discord that I will give out upon request, but again, do not take any silence on there as anything but me literally just not having discord open!

MUTUALS ONLY: I'll only interact with mutuals and then it's a free for all. If I follow you, please take that as permission to send me memes, like my starter calls, etc. Anything goes after that point!

OPEN TO: OC, Canon & duplicate friendly. Willing to explore in the world your character has crafted for themselves, meaning within the Baldur’s Gate/DnD universe but not necessarily beholden to any specific ending. I'm open to exploring different things. I'm okay with interacting with OCs/Canons from different universes as well; I just may need to do a little research.

INTERACTING: The best way to interact with me is through memes and starter calls just because it's an easy way to establish a basis for our characters and have some fun. However, I'm definitely open to plotting things out so let me know if you're up for that! I'm relatively shy about reaching out to people, but I like to send people memes when I can.

SHIPPING:. I love, love, LOVE shipping. I'll scream it from the rooftops, please come and ship with me! If I'm following you, that means I'm open to it. However, I'm also open to platonic and antagonistic plots as well. I find those just as rewarding. Just don't be afraid to reach out if you wanna do something fluffy or angsty or spicy -- I love it all!

FORMATTING: I cut posts with xkit rewritten and use small text, but I don't mind what other people do.

TIMING: I write on my own timeline and prefer you do do! This is a hobby at the end of the day, and none of us should feel rushed or pressured to answer or reply to things. I write based on what I have muse for but will always strive to clear my drafts, but may drop things from time to time too. That doesn't mean I'm not interested in writing with you, though! If I'm following you, then I am.

BLOCKING: I reserve the right to block anyone, and I'll make sure to hard block those I unfollow too so that there's no confusion. I don't soft block so reach out if Tumblr says I'm not following you. It's probably a glitch.
