that last post reminds me a bit of jotakak. i always thought the ship was boring personally but truly i think it's less that the dynamic is inherently bland and more that i don't really care about either character enough to care about shipping them. however after being on jojo tumblr enough you notice a specific group of jotakak shippers who are intensely passionate about both characters and make some shit you have to acknowledge has a lot of thought put into the dynamic and what they're really like as characters alongside headcanons that suit both of them a lot which i can respect

ship ask for one of my personal least favorite ships in jojos; jotakak

I’ll be honest, it’s one of my least favorites too. Behold, my lime jello bingo card of lukewarm emotion:

It’s kind of tricky, though, because Kakyoin is a pretty underdeveloped character for most of part 3, so I can’t really blame people for latching onto a single trait/action of his and just running with it. My real gripe with the ship is how people turn him into this grossly inflated figure of importance to Jotaro, to the detriment of everyone else in the main cast. Like, Avdol died too, but I never see art of P4 Jotaro getting choked up when he sees a pigeon on the street >:| 

Anyways, because I enjoy a challenge, I imagined how I’d try to go about it if I was interested in Jotakak... my One Kakyoin Character Trait I’ll focus on is his loneliness, because I find it charming, and I’d play it off Jotaro’s tendency to assume everyone knows what he’s thinking. 

They don’t have very compatible personalities, but being the only high schoolers in the group, they spend a lot of time together. Kakyoin likes having a friend his age. Jotaro likes having somebody who won’t be weirded out if he talks about boats and planes for four hours straight. He shows his appreciation by talking about boats and planes for four hours straight. 

I can’t see them falling in passionate, torrid love, but a little schoolboy crush wouldn’t be inconceivable. Kakyoin would never realize the depth of his feelings before he dies, but he appreciates their relationship, awkward and stunted as it is.

Headcanon: Some of the ships I think about and who would propose if they got engaged (spoiler-free, mostly AU) :

AvPol: Avdol. Polnareff ambiguously suggests it multiple times, only flirting with the idea, so Avdol finally cuts him out of being so vague and passive, and asks directly.

BruAbba: Bruno, who is more assertive than Leone when he wants something. Bruno met Leone while he was still a police officer, and they got married soon after he joined Passione. They both already felt married, like they'd known each other in a past life. 

One of their teammates asked Bruno one day, "You should ask him out. I see the way you two are together!" He was shocked that they hadn't told anyone, and jovially grabbed Leone's hand and held up his own to show their rings.

GyJo: Johnny, since he's even more headstrong about chasing after what he wants. He makes a temporary engagement ring out of plants sometime during the big race. Even when it wilts nearly to dust, Gyro never takes it off.

JotaKak: Both nearly at the same time, while on a special trip they'd been planning for a while. Jotaro kneels as low as he possibly can, with his forehead on the ground, holding the ring with both hands high above his head. He hears Kakyoin giggling. Then he looks up and sees him holding out a ring as well. There's a lot of emotional laughter and happy-crying.

RisoDop: Five years ahead, Doppio is thirty-eight, and Risotto is thirty-three when Risotto finally asks. They'd both been thinking it for ages, and it's painful, yet such a relief.

Five years prior, during their very long fight, while they were both out of breath and feeling less and less like they wanted to kill each other, Risotto asked, "What's something you wanted to do before you died?" Doppio said how he just wanted to not feel like complete shit for once in his life. Risotto was surprised, and felt the same way. They talked for ages, about very personal things, on the assumption they'd both die soon. 

But Risotto suggested, "What if we just run away? Drop everything and go somewhere The Boss won't find us." So they went on the run as fugitives, for a number of years, having no one but each other. Once again, the strange, social outcasts they'd been their whole lives. On a slow burn over time, they found out they were extremely in love, and things between them gradually progressed.

Sorlato: Sorbet. Proposed in high school while they both sat in his truck on a hill, watching their hometown burn below, their vengeance for years of bullying and mistreatment by their neighbors and classmates.

SquaTizi: Tiziano, a while before they both joined Passione. In personality, he's more organized and methodical, while Squalo is indecisive and sporadic. So Tiziano goes for it long before Squalo would have felt sure enough of himself to make the first move.

Dear god. There’s way too many Jotakak works where Jolyne’s mom gets the short end of the stick in some way. I could go on forever about all the ways I’ve seen it happen. I’m a fan of Jotakak and much of the fanon ships but that doesn’t mean you can just bash the canon partner. Sorry, but I HATE that ‘Die For Our Ship’ trope with more passion than a billion suns. Seriously, none of the other girls, not even Suzi Q, have it this bad. I hate when any fandom does this and they need to stop.

JJBA AU concept: Children of Omen

so i spent a while typing this up last night, and now i’m very seriously considering writing it. so i’m gonna toss this concept here. feel free to give feedback on it, and make suggestions!

Universe Altered/AU Everyone is Alive

Mainly featuring trans guys Bruno and Prosciutto, but you can bet there will be others

On a seemingly normal day, all Passione Capos are sent a message from none other than the Boss himself: he has gotten wind of a traitor in a most unusual way. A "trusted source" gave him an omen: a child of one of his subordinates, due to be born in December of that year, will mark the end of his reign as the leader of Passione. And he simply cannot have that. As such, any child born to any member of Passione in the month of December that year will need to be disposed of when it is born. Normally, such a threat would not bother Bruno Bucciarati, as he has no business in those types of things. Only, this time, things are drastically different. That is because his actions he took a few months ago with his lover, Leone Abbacchio, are coming back to haunt him now in the worst way: he, a Passione Capo, is pregnant with a child due in December. And regardless of his streak of loyalty to the organization up until now, Bruno is not willing to sacrifice his child for anyone.

He is not the only Capo with a horse in this race, however. Risotto Nero is facing a similar situation; terrified by the message, his teammate and the man he loves, Prosciutto, confesses to him that he is expecting a child -- Risotto's child -- also due in December. And, much like Bruno, Prosciutto is not willing to let the precious little life inside of him die on someone else's orders. Risotto is also not willing to bend to this, but they are faced with a terrifying decision: either follow the Boss's command and have their child killed after its birth, or risk going against Passione and also risking their lives as well as the life of their unborn child.

Upon realizing the situation that they are in, Bucciarati's gang and La Squadra, once violent and sworn enemies, come together in order to save innocent lives with no stake in this game, with no sins on their backs. And then, new recruit Giorno Giovanna offers what may be a solution: he has a father. A father who knows him only through encrypted e-mails, but a father nonetheless. A father who was adopted into a family line: the Joestar family line. A large and powerful family line who have promised protection to the mafiosi if they are willing to leave Passione behind and accept their help. The family lives in the distant shores of the United States of America; a land hopefully far out of the reach of even the Boss. A land where their children can grow up in peace. There will be risks, but... they have no other choice.

To help lead them to the safety of the land of opportunity, the family sends two of its own members, Joseph Joestar and Jotaro Kujo, along with their somewhat rag-tag gaggle of friends, to help the escaping ex-mafiosi. This dangerous journey is going to push all of them to their limits, and make them re-evaluate what truly matters in life. By the end, they'll have either gotten to a place where they can have their family and raise them in peace, or they will all be dead. One way or another, this story will have an end. Someone will win, and someone will lose. All they can do now is put their fates in the hands of whatever god is above them and pray that they can stay alive to see tomorrow.

lmaooo i was so confused when I saw them together like that tbh I was even asking my friends DID I MISS SOMETHING BETWEEN PRO AND RIZ??? but they’re everywhere, i feel like they’re the jotakak of la squadra and I’ve legit saw so much NICE AND BEAUTIFUL art for them that now i find them cute haHAHA OOPS I guess it would work?! I have a hard time imagining it myself tho I’d need a pretty damn good doujin to start shipping them passionately like meloghia, for those two i was already finding them cute but it’s actually one freaking amazing doujin that sold them to me now i cannot unsee them together.

your drabbles are so sweet and gentle and beautiful, they healed my soul (after few hours of reading heartbreakingly angsty jotakak doujinshis for god knows what reason) and they inspire me to write my own things for this ship even when i feel that they aren't good enough. thank you for your blog!! also, if you're in the mood for requests: how about husbands kissing&cuddling and kids being embarrassed&grossed out by it (but internally they're kinda happy for parents' loving relationships)?

~ Anything you can put enough passion into, you should go for it! As someone who struggles with major low self esteem and anxiety, I can say that it was originally very scary for me to post what I write because I didn’t think I was very good. And I may not be the best writer, but as long as it makes someone happy, who cares? I’m glad this blog has helped in a small way and I hope that someday I will read something you write! Also, pardon me for my botched attempt to get the kids ages in line with part 4 and 6,,, I’m not good at any type of math.

It was a typical friday night for the Kujo family. Jotaro was home and in more comfortable attire, seated at the end of the couch, facing the TV; this is where he usually came to rest for the evening. The kids, Jouta and Joylene, seated directly in front of the television, big eyes, blinking blankly up at the giant screen. They were much older now, Jouta almost starting his Junior year of High School and Joylene in her second year of middle school.

Kakyoin busied himself in the kitchen, cleaning up after dinner and preparing a snack before the kids went off to bed. Baked apple slices, not too sweet but not too hard to chew on, something Mom ( Miss Holly ) made for Jotaro and Kakyoin while they were still living with her. He sat himself down next to his husband on the couch after putting the plate of apples on the table behind the kids.

A cartoon show was on, the kids were enthralled and Jotaro was getting a little handsy. His arm wrapped around the smaller man’s frame, holding him close, idle fingers stroked down Kakyoin’s side and the receiver felt his cheeks heat up. Soon, the parents were making google eyes at each other and giving little pecks to each other, whispering about how much they missed each other. Off in their own little world until-

“Ew!! Dad! Not in the living room!” Jouta cried in disgust, having turned around to grab an apple and seen his parents flirting it up.

Joylene spun her head around, wanting to see with her curious little eyes, “Were they kissing?!” She asked.

Jotaro huffed loudly as Kakyoin moved to wrap his arms around his husband and lay his head gently on the other’s chest. He chuckled and stuck his tongue out at their oldest, wanting to make it very clear that they were the adults here. Jouta would beg to differ in this exact moment.

“Shouldn’t you save that for when we aren’t-?!” Jouta started, before his sister interrupted.

“I wanna cuddle! I wanna cuddle!” Joylene jumped up excitedly, running over to the couch and leaping into her fathers’ arms. Kakyoin of course caught her and gave her a barrage of kisses causing the little girl to squeal with delight.

Jouta rolled his eyes before turning back to the TV. And then once again, the room was quiet all but for the TV. It was nice and warm, Joylene passing out sandwiched between her two dads and Jouta offering to finish off the rest of the apples in his room.

Jobro Random Headcanons #5 (SFW)

5: Out of the two Jobros, if they were about to rob a museum, which one does backflips through lasers and which one is strolling behind with a bag of chips?

Jonadio: Jonathan would never rob a bank, however for the sake of this question... First off, assuming Jonathan was doing this for the greater good he would be back flipping through lasers seeing as he's pretty skillful when he tries. He can be a bit clumsy and goofy but it isn't a result of mindlessness so much as it is that he lets his guard down when he's relaxed. Whereas Dio is capable of being graceful and looking cool he wouldn’t put in that much effort and stroll leisurely from behind munching on chips enjoying the show no doubt.

Caejose: When I read this question, I imagined this ship in particular. Caesar would be the graceful cool one back flipping through lasers and tossing his hair over his shoulder to make it look effortless. Joseph would be wolf whistling, eyeing him from behind, whilst munching on a bag of chips the goof. (This is a great idea for an AU)

Jotakak: I’d have to go with Jotaro for back flipping- maybe not back flipping per say but definitely getting through lasers, he might stumble around a bit and make his infamous catch phrase, “Yare, yare, daze.” Kakyoin strolling behind eating chips, though I can imagine this in reverse as well. Though Kakyoin is a bit of a snarky asshole and would be content to just eat chips and leave the work to Jotaro. I can’t see Jotaro being laid back enough to let his lover just go through lasers. Not that Kakyoin doesn’t care but he seems to be a lot more laid back than Jotaro.

Josuyasu: I hate the idea of letting Okuyasu jump through lasers, that seems to be a recipe for disaster. However, thinking of Josuke slip through lasers, some gracefully and others he barely manages to slip through gives me life. He would pass through a set of lasers and smirk back at Okuyasu like he did not even try, only to nearly fall face forward into another pair-narrowly saving himself and sighing out a- “Great-daze.” Okuyasu might munch on chips anxiously from the sidelines, shouting at Josuke either words of encouragement or warning him.

Giomis: Giorno would effortlessly glide through lasers and Mista would wolf whistle shamelessly eating a bag of chips or something while making light conversation. It might as well be canon to be honest. Araki missed his chance to do something like this with passione honestly.

alright, so a little freeform brain leaking here on a couple things that I'm sure my twitter feed will be grateful to be spared from! so. I'm a fujoshi to be sure. now that that's been settled, I will say that yeah, I see a lot of things in a lot of places that some people might call a stretch. but it's all in good fun, so whatever, right? okay sure. I'm ass deep in JJBA right now (just the place to be 👍🏼) and just wrapped on part 3. (full disclosure: I am currently anime only, so bear that in mind for any and all that follows) I'm a ride or die for caejose, and figured I'd be a shoo in for jotakak but...I just don't see it. so my first thought was, while I was still watching the first half of stardust crusaders was "ah, well they're similar in age and look nice together, so I guess that's enough for some people". this is not an indictment or condemnation of anyone, btw - all in good fun, remember? but yeah, I just wasn't getting what was sailing this ship for people. I mean sure, the first few encounters set it up pretty nicely, but the way I've seen some of the fan works (e.g. doujinshi, fic, etc.) set up, I figured it kept building. fast forward to the battle with N'Doul and Kakyoin's subsequent absence for like 3/4 of the Egypt arc and I'm really left scratching my head... (SPOILERS) and going into things I already knew he was going to die. that's why given the popularity of the ship, I thought "oh boy, this is gonna be sad and angsty, but it'll be good!" AND OH BOY, LET ME JUST SAY THIS. he. did. not. have. to. die. a close call would've been sufficient and maybe even a bit better because he DESERVED to live his life, free of DIO. do you know what a BOON he could be to new stand users having gone through what he did? etc etc etc. ☹️ but yeah, when I squint with my fujoshi goggles on, I can see a one sided kind of thing on Kakyoin's end. maybe not fully realised for what it is, but certainly given that hint about how "if he'd fall in love" wrt Holly Kujo, it could be in his head. I think he's had a lot of time to think about things. he's young, but there's a certain emotional maturity there because he's had to deal with quite a bit. I don't so much buy this with Jotaro. I mean heck, I WANT to buy into that whole "barely controlling his passion" angle that a lot of people put forth, but idk. I mean yes, it is established that he THINKS people can tell how he's feeling from his expressions more than is ever close to being the case - it certainly signifies that he has a certain intense emotional life, albeit an almost exclusively internalised one. but he is also INCREDIBLY angry. I think that can happen when you're constantly boiling down everything that's thrown at you without processing it in a more conventional, dare I say "healthy" way. oh, and never mind the very pointed mission that they're on the whole story. there are moments here and there, but the pace was pretty intense because their enemies KNEW to attack while they were worn down. that said, I can't really support the idea that they "established a relationship" during that not-even-50 days because WHEN? HOW? fine, fine. I could see a fling of sorts, a nameless connection that just served to make them feel safer? relaxed? connected? idk? but not actual boyfs screwing in sand dunes and constantly stealing "knowing, lustful glances". I mean to be really unfair, I can't even buy that they're BEST friends. at least not the way I would see that sort of thing. closest? yeah, that's a real possibility. something I keep seeing that drives me a bit nutty though is that they always have this AWARENESS of being ~*each other's only real friend*~ or *~SO LUCKY that I'M the one he opened up to!*~ and uh, what? I mean okay yes, friendships forged in mutual intense circumstances can quickly become some of the deepest, most genuine types of relationships because they DON'T hinge on flakier things like mutual interests or places you both happen to be. (sorry.) so yes, I can ABSOLUTELY buy them being close, but it - again - would be more of a nameless bond that just sort of relied on the extremely organic levels of trust, respect, etc. fire tested, so to speak. so yes, this is me picking on the relationship as FRIENDS. more than that, and I need some real convincing - especially when the guy died before Jotaro could even take a real deep breath and have the time to reflect on ANYTHING. ironically enough, I would really like to explore what *could* have happened if they had time, and Jotaro had to sort of face a LIVING person, and how he feels about what happened now that he's living a relatively more slow-paced, if not outright normal, life. there could be some reckoning to be had there! (bonus points if there's some influence from a fairy god grandfather Joseph setting up some caejose mirrors - even platonic ones!!!) as it is, it's hard not to find that Jotaro would have his feelings about his dead friends sort of blunted, the book slammed shut, so to speak. he didn't have a life with Kakyoin BEFORE, so going back to life without him would probably be fairly straightforward as it stands. he wouldn't be living with constant reminders - which is why if Kakyoin were literally still alive, things would probably have to be different from that standpoint alone. Jotaro IS the responsible type, even if it isn't always so obvious - think of how he's introduced to us, after all! he's just a little unique in how he takes care of things, but he does. that's why I think there's a lot of potential to explore Kakyoin surviving. why the hell are they both so OOC so often though??????? I'm not sure which bothers me more, but I'll probably follow an author to hell if they give me something that feels right. because, let's face it, at the end of the day I WANTED to see this pairing. (I can be superficial too, okay? j/k) it started off in a way I found compelling and just did not continue to deliver - canonically-speaking, anyway. to be continued ▶️

Involving actual OCs might be difficult because I don’t know your OCs of course (though admittedly I haven’t thought about that really before, might be interesting for the future).Also do you know me or anything XD Because Giorno is my favorite character and I’ve been thinking about dancing HCs for him a lot before, so this was really fun to do :DDDI hope you like it!

Giorno likesstandard dances a lot. As the don of Passione he needs to attend quite a fewmeetings and parties of other gangs as well as organize some himself wheredancing is a possibility. No one has to participate in this activity but Giornodoesn’t let a chance pass him by. It also saves him from talking to all thesepeople for too long. Just because he is the boss now and he has quite a waywith words doesn’t mean he still isn’t pretty introverted and wants somemoments to himself (more or less) once in a while.

In fact goingdancing becomes his favorite and one of the very few activities he indulges inwith his s/o. In the rare free time he had (and still has) after becoming theboss he and his s/o even attended a dancing school to learn all these ballroomdances.

Giorno is prettysmooth while dancing. The way he moves over the dancefloor has an elegance to itwhich is not present in the overall atmosphere of these parties.

Usually he goesfor waltz on parties. Waltz has a more serious tone to it than other standarddances he could go for if the music offered it, but waltz is also performed inclose position so he can still enjoy the proximity to his s/o although theseoccasions don’t allow much togetherness.

When Giorno andhis s/o are out for dancing together he also likes to do some more energetic danceslike cha-cha-cha or salsa. He just enjoys the flow of the movements, the musicsurrounding them… Giorno appreciates the athletic aspects of dancing as well.He has so much paperwork to do everyday and even if some more dangerous workcomes up, it’s usually not him who tends to it but his men, so Giorno isgrateful that he gets some form of exercise.

Giorno has thetendency to be the lead while dancing. That also applies when his s/o is male. Butwhen his s/o wants to be the lead for once (or more often) and tells him so, hewill gladly let him. Giorno being the lead just comes naturally to him, but hedoesn’t insist on it at all. He will even apologize for being the lead withoutnoticing his partner’s wishes beforehand after his s/o talks to him about it.

When he’scompletely alone with his s/o he also likes to just go along with the music.Some slow music plays while he holds his partner close and just sways slightlyfrom one foot to another, closing his eyes in the process and appreciating thismoment of peace and proximity to his partner.

Ramblings from Bree about jojo part 2 I think

I’m really tired getting back into the habit of work again since this is my first week makin pizzas, gotta do the dishes and gotta finish washing my work clothesbcuz I work tomorrow morning. Just had Wendy’s. As usual I’m thinking about Jojo over everything else

Okay so today I wanna talk about things that I would change in the series to make it better. I love jojo so much but I just have all these ideas constantly bouncing around in my head with everything else and I just want to word vomit them somewhere.

1) More female characters in general. Obviously I haven’t touched anything past part 5 right now and I’m excited to eventually read part 6 for Jolyne and Ermes and FF (I think FF counts as a girl? Unsure bcuz they’re plankton. They could be non-binary and yanno what that slaps too new headcanon on the spot I guess lmaooo). But yeah I wish the female characters were more prominent I think every part has gotten better and better about it honestly but I don’t think any of the girl characters besides Jolyne and Ermes have had any female friends.

2) More Caesar. There wasn’t enough Caesar for me. Caesar really only had the one big fight against Wammu and yes he did do a lot of things they were all much smaller than Joseph (yes Lisa Lisa got shafted too during her fight with Kars but I would honestly argue Caesar was done more dirty bcuz he was supposedly in his prime alongside Joseph)

3) Joseph bringing up Caesar in part 3. I was heartbroken when he never mentioned Caesar once. He spent like an entire month seeing Caesar every single day during the (first) most dangerous time of his life, screamed and cried when said friend died, and said friend also gifted him the last of his Hamon. If we couldn’t get part 3 old Caesar we deserved a mention of him at least.

4) Similar to last point, mentions of Kakyoin in part 4. Ignoring the fact that i ship Jotakak pretty hard, we never even saw Jotaro’s reaction to Kakyoin’s death, whom I would argue he had grown the closest with during SDC. If I couldn’t have part 4 Kakyoin scooping up all the hot moms, I would’ve liked to hear Jotaro talk about him to Josuke

5) More Yukako not just around Koichi. Or have her fight with Koichi! I was watching a YouTube video ranking the teams and they said Yukako won almost every fight she was in and I literally can only think of her fight against Koichi and kinda fighting Aya? But anyway one of my favorite little moments in part 4 was when Rohan goes to the cafe and Josuke, Okuyasu, and Yukako are all sitting together without Koichi lmao

6) Crank up the Jotaro and Josuke bonding to 11 please, I was addicted to those little moments like the rat hunting episode. Also the episode where Josuke had to protect Jotaro from Hazamada? Like that episode really got to me. More Josuke needing to protect Jotaro from crazy Stand users.

7) More fights for Okuyasu please. I always see people saying that his Stand The Hand was held back because Okuyasu isn’t smart but you know what I think people just feel that way because Okuyasu barely got involved in any fights.

8) First of all I’m fucking obsessed with the main cast of Golden Wind and I wished the part itself had like four seasons of them doing missions for Passione before the King Crimson arc was like the final season? (Fugo leaves at the end of season 3? Idk lmao) also I just wanted more time for the relationships between the cast to be developed MORE. For example: Giorno and everybody but specifically Fugo, Narancia, Abbacchio (his relationships with Mista and Bruno were pretty well done I think). His reactions to Abbacchio and Narancia’s deaths hurt, and I’m glad they were there, but they would have hurt MORE. Also PHF makes the relationship between Giorno and Fugo a thousand times more interesting.

9) a FUCKIN Zeppeli in part 5!!! I thought this would have been for sure??? Doesn’t even have to be main cast just SOMETHING god please. I cannot tell you how happy I was with the part 2 references in PHF.

10) Unnecessary because I really love part 5 it’s probably my favorite part but I would have really liked a canon romance within the main cast. BruAbba will have to do for me lolol

Bonus: again haven’t read part 6 but I hear that there’s a tease for Giorno but he doesn’t appear? I would have been livid if that wasn’t spoiled for me bcuz I am already livid about that since she fights other sons of Dio?!
