SUKUNA RYOMEN ⟡ he’ll never answer you.
“why?” you questioned him.
your voice held a tone he's not quite familiar with — it's confusing him.
you've laid sukuna flat on the bed, straddling him so he's forced to listen. trapping him under you was the only way left. sukuna's somewhat a strong man, it took barely ten percent of his energy to lift you off his desk and kiss you goodbye with sweet lies.
there's none of that now — at least during this moment. the night's fallen, he's off duties, and you're clearly not busy. there isn't room for any other variable that can counter your moment. you've calculated this meticulously.
sukuna doesn't answer. he busied his hand with the hem of your skirt, focusing his eyes more on the fabric than yours that held every unspoken emotion you felt.
the silence fails to bother you. you continued with your question despite him giving his attention to the clothes that adorn you instead of the person wearing it.
“is it a game? a push and pull game with me? you seem to enjoy deflecting.”
your once laid out palm on his chest fists the shirt, slightly tugging it. he still fiddles with your skirt, but his eyes finally found yours.
“hmm, not sure. i don't really enjoy games like that.”
a lazy smile appears on him, complimenting his visuals further.
usually you'd mirror his expressions but this time there's no mocking smile. furrowed eyebrows and a frown appeared.
“amazing, your humor never fails to amaze me.”
“the others do say i have some humor in me.”
“that's not how i—”
“i know,” he sighs, “i already know what answer you want from me— or what answer you want to hear.”
sukuna emphasizes on the last few words, tilting his head at your expression.
you're slightly puzzled. is it truly that you want to hear an answer that will satisfy you or the truth? even that brings along the question of what is the truth?
you gulped, picking at the skin on your bottom lip with your teeth.
“stop fucking with my head,” you muttered.
“then let's call it a night.” he shrugs, tapping on your thigh.
you ignore his signal to get off him. to hell with him.
a heavier sigh leaves sukuna. he has work to return to in the morning, it's quite late into the night, and he clearly isn't allowed to sleep in a comfortable position.
“fine, do what you want, but you should get some sleep as well.” his arm stretches out, cupping your face.
his palm's warm, making you press your cheek against it.
“lean down,” he says.
you're suspicious but went along with his words. surely you wouldn't come to regret it, right?
quite the opposite. the moment you were an inch away from noses touching, his hand moved from cupping your face to behind your head, pushing you down for a kiss.
“goodnight,” he whispered, pulling away from the kiss.
yet another failure added to your list.

MEGUMI FUSHIGURO ⟡ well, he had a different idea.
megumi's at the dining table, enjoying his drink as he picks back up on the page he bookmarked before bed. a proper way to start his day.
nobara's also at the dining table, with both hands crossed over her chest. not a proper way to start her day.
she's been meaning to get into it with megumi since... two days ago! what happened two days ago? she met with a dear friend she brags about and listened to relationship problems.
according to said friend, it feels as though a certain guy had lead them on. nobara, being a good friend, assured them that the guy hadn't mean it but this was an obvious attempt of comfort.
when said friend described the guy and his behaviour, she felt a chill down her spine. the description felt oddly familiar... perhaps a bit too familiar. she's sure she knew the guy, but who is it?
it was only when the sentence “with his stupid fucking hair” left the dear friend, her putting-clues-together function turned on.
the guy was megumi fushiguro, her dormmate. and also a dear friend.
ever since that day she's been planning to confront him but she procastinated. this was partially due to her not being told directly by her dormmate that he's in a ‘relationship’ so it felt like she eavesdropped.
as megumi took the final sip of his drink, he carefully placed it on the coaster. he read one more full page of the comic before he questioned nobara with no eye contact.
“is something bothering you?”
“yes! well, technically it's not me but...” nobara trails off, she's not quite sure continue.
taking a deep breath, she slams her both palms on the table, leaning in to gather megumi's attention.
“so there's this friend right?”
“yeah.”
“and they're having issues with their relationship. so, the guy kinda lead them on by being all boyfriend-y, i assume, and giving off subtle hints. whenever things get quote-on-quote advanced, the guy somehow takes the relationship two steps back. they think they're reading into it too much but also don't know what to do because the guy sometimes goes ghost.”
she hits him with all information at once. nobara rambled, ending it with a ‘phew’. her heartbeat raced for whatever reason. maybe it's because she's indirectly telling her friend he's a shitball.
“oh,” the perpetrator responds, closing his book with one hand.
if they were in a cartoon, there would surely be three question marks floating above nobara's head.
oh? just an oh? nothing else? she thinks, judging him.
“damn, that guy's an ass.” he extends his previous statement, not knowing that he just called himself an ass.
“well...!” a sweat bead forms on nobara's forehead. “what if — just what if i told you that guy is you?”
“me? you jest.”
“i fucking wish! i'm talking about you and whatever you have going on with (y/n),” she mumbles the last words, taking her dormmate's sandwich for herself.
megumi's eyebrow raises. he doesn't like what he's hearing. him? leading someone on? that someone being you? what's with the sudden twist?
“that's... hmm.” he crosses his arms across his chest, leaning back into the chair, “i thought we were already in a relationship— (y/n) and i that is.”
the sandwich wasn't a pleasant experience. upon hearing megumi's words, she immediately choked. the twists just kept coming.
“you—” a cough interrupts. “you both are fucking stupid.”
“shit — should i go meet with (y/n)?” megumi asks with urgency, staring at nobara for an answer.
“that shouldn't even be a question. make haste!”

Bad dog
Tumblr media
"No! Bad! Bad dog... bad boy!" jesus, now he's drinking water from the puddle. If anybody sees this I don't know how I'm gonna be explaining this
You see. The guy drinking from the puddle is... my bestfriend Finn. We have been the best mates since forever. I have been in love with him platonically, but he was definitely straight. I think he knows about me being gay, but he never asked and I never had the guts to tell him.
Today we went to the park. He brought along his dog, Max. Max is the cutest Dobrman I know. Most of the time his is cautious, alert and protecting Finn, but when he is with us, he is enjoying the attention I give him. I always rub him behind his ear, but what he loves the most are belly rubs.
We were just sitting on the ground at the edge of the park. No one in sight. Finn was shirtless, just in his shorts. I was a bit suspicious that he was commando, by the visibility of his bulge. Not like it would mean anything to me. Max was happy as always. Finn was pensive and then kept talking about his new girl crush which I didn't really pay much attention too. Not like he does pay attention to anything I say. He noticed me, not listening and said:"You might as well spend time just with him. You're completely ignoring me today."
"Max here is actually appreciating me and being a great friend. Maybe you two should exchange places." I said jokingly
But out of nowhere. Max dropped down growled and started barking at the two of us. He never did that. I was a bit scared to be honest, but he didn't seem like he would attack us. At the corner of my eye, I also noticed Finn running away from us, dropping down his shorts.
"Where the fuck are you going?! Finn!!! Come back"
He was running around. Completely naked. I looked around, but there were still no people in sight, thankfully. What would they think if they saw him now. What has gotten into him?
Now he got on the ground and grabbed a branch. With his teeth. Has he gone completely mental? Then I realised. That's not possible. I said that as a joke. But when I look at Max, who was now nodding his head, I froze. No way. The really exchanges bodies.
Finn now headed towards the puddle to drink from it. It was funny to see my bestfriend act like a dog, but if I let him keep going, he would hurt his owner's body.
"Bad! Bad dog... bad boy! Stop it!" he stopped, looked at me and ran away from the puddle and headed back to the tree where we sat originally. He must be slowly figuring it out that he is human now. Because he started using his hands as a human would. Swinging from branches and so on. Not like feet.
Tumblr media
I ran to him. Grabbed the shorts he took of and tried to get them on him. The best I could do was to get them just above his ankles. He sat down and sticked out his tongue and started hyperventilating. Some manners are harder to let go off, I guess.
Tumblr media
"Ok, Max. I know that's you. Do you understand me? Please try to say yes"
"A bark-like noise came out of his throat."
"No, Max. You have to use your voice now. You're a human. Say yes or no. Do you understand?"
After some bad attemps he managed to say:"yy..... yes"
"Good boy. Now. I need you to stop running ok? You are Finn now and Finn wouldn't do that. You have to act like a human now. Ok?"
"No" he answered, but sounded more confident now. He stopped hyperventilating and sat up
"Max. Please don't make this hard for me." as I spoke to Max, I also noticed that Finn has disapeared. Fuck, another problem to solve.
He hesitated and then started speaking:"You want Max. Not Finn. I Finn now"
"No Max. I like both of you. You are his very good dog and he is my very good friend. I love you both and I want you two to be ok."
"I am both now. Good dog and good Finn"
"Max... It's not like that"
"You can rub me like before. On the belly. Please"
Tumblr media
Fuck. What the hell do I do? I am horny as fuck to have any experience with Finn, but this feels wrong. So wrong that I was now watching my own body getting closer to Max and rubbing his abs. And by the look in his eyes and now even a smile, I think he likes it. As I was slowly enyoing his well sculpted abs, his dick was getting hard. He definitely noticed, bcause he now tried to get over my leg to hump me.
"No, Max. Stop. Humans do this diferently than dogs. You're human now"
"I saw Finn with a girl many times. I'll do what she did to him." he got over me and unzipped my pants. How the fuck did he get the hang of being a human so soon? He licked his lips and took out my hard dick. I can't believe my wildest dreams are about to become real. He put his lips over the head of my cock and got down. His hand gripping the base of my dick. His other hand got my hand and he squeezed it. Did he just think about that or was this inside Finn's mind? Like some sort of muscle memory. This is amazing. I shot my load really quickly inside of his mouth. I wasn't used to being blowed. Like... ever
He got back on his back and said:"Do me now." I didn't take a second to think about it. I kissed his pecks, my left hand grpping his dick and jerking it. My right carefully protecting his abs form being alone without my touch. I smelled his armpits. He smelled just the way I was used to. I loved his smell. And I could now smell and even lick his hairy armpits. He was welcoming me to do that. Fucking amazing
I started sucking him off. He worked his ass like a pro and kept thrusting into my mouth, his hand in my hair, gripping it. Fucking amazing I tell you. He shot the cum in my mouth and I swallowed it entirely.
I just gave blow job to Finn. I was mesmerized that I looked at Finn and started making ouit with him. He returned the favour and kiss me back. Very passionately.
We were interrupted by the park guard, holding the leash with Max on the other end.
Ok, so we might have a lifelong ban to enter the park, but this day brought us some new experiences. First of all, I got to suck the man of my dreams and now it seems we'll be doing way. Second, Finn probably remembers being a human, but sometimes his animal urges take over. On the way back home he even tried to run after a squirrel. Crazy right?
And third of all, Max really enjoys being human. He really got the hang of it and now is doing an amazing job being Finn. And he is a very romantic boyfriend.
What is weird is his afinity for the Dobrman's. Like today he said he borught one of his friends he knows from the park. He spoke to the dog whole afternoon. But as long as I get to have my new boyfriend, I don't really care
Tumblr media
Wait? Do you think they might think about swapping the other dog with someone too? That would be cool, having two great ex-dog friends. Well, depends on who are they gonna choose as the next person.
"Oh, hey Max. What are you...?" and then darkness

Her Heartbeat, Chapter 7:Her Vulnerability
Tumblr media
Summary: Wednesday blames you as the reason she let her guard down, for the vulnerability that came with you.
Warning: Light Angst. Wednesday is back. !Mentions of death of a parent! Slow Burn.
Chapter 1
Previous Chapter
Worklist.
Your heart raced as you grabbed your phone, frantically dialing your dad’s number. This wasn’t a “handle it yourself” kind of situation. You had nine high people on your hands, one of them being Wednesday Addams, and you knew things could go downhill fast.
"Dad.." you began, your voice shaky..
He definitely sensed the panic in your voice. “What happened? Everything alright?”
Uh, not exactly,” you said, glancing nervously at the group. “So... Dad, do you remember how you always said if I ever needed you, no matter how stupid the reason, you’d come?”
Your dad paused, immediately suspicious. “Yeah? What did you do?”
“Okay, first of all, this is not my fault.” You shot a look toward Rick, who was now trying to chase his own shadow in circles, laughing like a maniac. “But... everyone here might be, uh, high. And Wednesday, well, she’s... Let’s just say I need help. Fast.”
Your dad’s voice came back with a groan. “Hey! You told me you guys were camping, what kind of camps do they even run?"
“We were camping, Dad! It’s an accident!” you snapped, frustration bubbling over. “Stop asking questions and just get here!”
“Yeah, yeah. I’ll be there. What do I even bring to deal with this?” he asked,
You blinked, unsure how to answer. “Uh, a tranquilizer gun?”
Your dad chuckled. “I’ll figure it out. See you soon. Try to keep the casualties to a minimum.”
“Great,” you muttered. “Thanks, Dad. I’ll be here... herding drunk cats.”
As you hung up, you sighed in relief but immediately felt the weight of the situation crash back in.
“Y/n,”
You jumped, nearly dropping your phone. “What the—Wednesday! Don’t sneak up on me like that!”
“You need to lift the magic.”
“Magic? What magic?” You frowned, thrown off by the comment.
“The one that keeps making me think about you all the time. Like right now. Like when I sleep.” She leaned closer, "It makes me feel... weird. Like... like I should stab you. But I can’t. I try, but it doesn’t feel right. Anyone else, I’d stab them. Like... like Brooke.”
You tried to keep your expression neutral. “Okay, but let’s agree not to stab Brooke,” you said, gently taking her arm.
Just then you heard Alex shout from across the camp. “Oh, baby! You complete me!”
“Oh, for the love of—” you groaned, rushing over to see Alex, arms wrapped around a thick tree trunk, “Alex, what the hell are you doing?”
Alex, now fully invested in his "relationship" with the tree, was whispering sweet nothings into its bark. "You're so... strong. You never hurt me, even when I hit you. I think... I love you."
"Alex!" You groaned, "Stop groping the tree. It doesn’t love you back."
He glanced at you, wide-eyed and sincere. “She… she gets me. She understands me. I love her.”
You stared at him for a moment, wondering if you should laugh or cry. “Alex, it’s a tree.”
“Don’t insult her!” he cried dramatically, clutching the bark tighter. “She’s... she’s the love of my life.”
“Rick! Don’t get in the water!” you shouted as you caught sight of him staggering toward the lake.
Rick paused, looked back, and said, “But the water… it calls to me!”
“No! You’ll drown!” You sprinted over, grabbing his arm and yanking him back just in time. He stumbled but managed to stay upright, looking at you as if you’d just ruined his dreams.
“Aw, come on! I just wanted to see the dolphin.”
“It's a lake Rick! There are no dolphins! Stay away from the water!”
You sighed, glancing around the camp to see what fresh disaster awaited you. And then, your heart stopped.
"Wednesday, don’t stab Brooke!" you shouted, seeing Wednesday approaching Brooke with a knife in hand.
“Why not?” Wednesday replied, her voice dangerously calm. “She looks stab-worthy.”
For a second, you thought you were in the clear—until Wednesday moved behind Brooke and, with one swift motion, sliced off her ponytail.
Brooke just kept laughing. “Hey! Free haircut!”
“Wednesday, what the hell!" you cried.
She turned to you with an unsettling smirk, eyes still glazed but sharp. Without warning, she threw the knife at you. You yelped, dodging just in time as the blade embedded itself in the tree behind you. “Seriously?!”
She grinned, grabbing another knife from god knows where. “It’s a game, Y/n. You dodge, I throw.” You ducked again as the second knife sailed past your head. “How many knives do you even have?!” “Enough,” she said, her lips curling into a wicked smile. Before you could react, she pulled out another knife from her coat. “Okay, stop!” You ducked as the third knife soared past. “Are you done?” She tilted her head, looking thoughtful. “No.” And out came knife number four. You barely dodged it as it flew past your head and stabbed Alex's newlywed wife... "My love! Noooo" Alex cried holding onto the tree.
“You’re really good at dodging,” Wednesday mumbled, her words slurring together. “I might like that about you.”
You weren’t sure whether to be flattered or terrified.
“Wednesday! Are you done?”
She frowned, swaying on her feet. “I’m out of knives."
"Thank god," you muttered but before you could catch your breath you saw Mike, who was trying to roast marshmallows... without the stick. He held the marshmallows directly over the fire with his bare hands, completely unaware of the flames licking at his skin.
“Mike!” you ran over and pulled him away. “Are you trying to set yourself on fire?!”
He blinked at you in confusion. “I was just... hungry.”
“Use a stick next time!” you cried, handing him one.
You sighed as you glanced at Wednesday, who had wandered off again, staring at the moon like it had personally offended her.
You jogged over to her, grabbing her by the arm before she could do anything else drastic. “Wednesday, stay with me, okay? Get a hold of yourself, stop acting weird.”
“I’m not weird,” she muttered, looking up at the sky with unfocused eyes. “The moon is weird. Look at it... all smug up there... thinking it’s so important. I could take it down if I wanted to.”
“Sure, Wednesday,” you said, humoring her. “But let’s not fight the moon right now, okay?”
She blinked, swaying slightly. “Why not? It deserves it. It’s always watching... judging... Like Weems, Can we kill Weems when we go back?”
Rick was running back toward the lake again, you rubbed your temples. “Wednesday, please just sit down, we can kill Weems later, okay?.” you said before going for Rick.
“Rick! No!” You sprinted after him, pulling him away just before he could dive in.
“Man, you’re no fun!” Rick slurred, pouting like a child.
“Yeah, well, I’m trying to keep you all alive!”
Returning to Wednesday, you found her surprisingly obedient for once, sitting by the fire.
“You,” she muttered, pointing a finger at you again. “Why are you always fixing things? Its annoying.”
You sighed, catching your breath. “Trust me, I know.”
“But…” she paused, her brow furrowing in drunken confusion. “I also kind of like that you’re always… there.”
You raised an eyebrow at her, your heart doing a weird little flip despite the chaos. “Oh yeah? Well, I kind of like that you haven’t stabbed anyone yet.”
She smirked, getting up on her feet. “Give me some time.”
Just as you were about to respond, the distant ruffling from the woods.
Your dad had arrived, along with a few camp staff members who clearly had no idea what they were walking into.
“Okay,” your dad said, running a hand through his hair. “What the hell happened here?”
You crossed your arms, gesturing to the group. “This. This happened. Rick spiked the coffee. So… good luck. I’m getting Wednesday out of here. Give me your car keys.”
Your dad hesitated, his brows furrowing. "You don’t have a license yet, Y/n."
"I don’t care," you said firmly, glancing over at Wednesday, who was eyeing everyone with a dangerous gleam. "I need to get her out of here before she really does something."
He stared at you for a moment, then sighed, digging into his pocket and pulling out the car keys. "Here. And take this." He handed you a flashlight. "It’s dark out there."
"Thanks, Dad," you said, pocketing the keys and flashlight.
"Good luck," he called as you started to lead Wednesday away from the mess.
You led Wednesday through the dark jungle, her hand gripped tightly in yours, her steps unsteady but stubborn. Every twig that snapped had you jumping. “You’re scared,” Wednesday observed bluntly. You stiffened. “No, I’m not. I just don’t like… unexpected noises.” “You’re scared,” she repeated, her voice softer now, less mocking. “I can tell.” You sighed. “Okay, fine. Maybe a little. It’s dark and creepy" You walked in silence for a few moments, the jungle seeming to close in around you, the air thick and heavy, but what felt even more dense.. was Wednesday's proximity near you.
“I’m scared too.” her voice softer now, a hint of vulnerability creeping in.
You blinked, “What? You? Scared? Of what?” you asked, half expecting her to say something completely ridiculous, like hugs.
“I’m scared… of getting close to you.” Her words came out slowly, as if she were forcing herself to admit it.
That made you stop in your tracks. You turned to look at her, your heartbeat suddenly louder in your ears.
“I’m scared about that too,” you admitted, voice barely audible over the sounds of the jungle. “I’m scared for you. That you’ll get close to me, and it’ll be... selfish.”
“Selfish?” she echoed, her brow furrowing. “Why would it be selfish?”
You didn’t answer. You couldn't.. you didn't want to lose her... not yet.
Wednesday’s gaze bore into you, waiting for an answer, but you squeezed her hand lightly, leading her forward through the jungle.
"Let’s just get out of here," you murmured.
She didn’t press further, just followed your lead, her steps slow but steady, her grip firm in yours. After what felt like an eternity, you finally saw the road ahead, your dad’s car parked at the edge of the road. Relief washed over you as you reached it. You helped Wednesday into the passenger seat before climbing in behind the wheel. Your hands shook as you gripped the steering wheel.
There was no way you were driving two hours to Nevermore in this state. Your house was only half an hour away, and you were way too tired to push through for that long.
“I’m taking you to my place,” you said, glancing over at Wednesday. “It’s closer.” She blinked slowly, her head resting against the window. “I don’t care… as long as it’s quiet.” You started the car, pulling onto the road and heading toward home. The drive was mostly silent, save for the occasional comment from Wednesday. “You’re a terrible driver,” she mumbled at one point, her eyes half-closed. “Gee, thanks,” you muttered. “And why is your car so… bright?” “It’s a normal car, Wednesday.” “I prefer hearses.” You chuckled, feeling a strange warmth spread through your chest despite the exhaustion. Even drunk, even high, she was still Wednesday Addams.
After what felt like both an eternity and a blink, you finally pulled into your driveway. You hadn’t been gone long, just a week, but somehow it felt like you’d been away for months. You missed it. You helped Wednesday out of the car, guiding her toward the front door. She blinked at the house, her lips curling into a half-frown. “It’s… too clean.” You raised an eyebrow. “What?” “Where are the cobwebs? The dust? It’s too… colorful. It offends me.” You laughed softly, unlocking the door and stepping inside. “Sorry to disappoint. Maybe I can add some cobwebs for you later.” Wednesday grunted, following you in. “You should.” You led her upstairs to the bathroom, handing her a towel and some spare clothes—luckily, you had some black ones. No way were you risking putting her in anything with colours. That might be the last mistake you ever made. "Just… take a shower. I’ll be right outside if you need anything," you said, standing awkwardly by the door. There was a pause, and then the sound of water running. You heard her muttering something under her breath, but you didn’t ask what.
After a few minutes, she emerged, dressed in the black shirt and pants you’d given her. She still looked disheveled, her hair damp and wild.. and... human? "Better?" you asked. She nodded once, her eyes flicking over you. "Tolerable." "Great." You led her to your room, where you helped her onto your bed. "You can sleep here. I’ll take the chair." Wednesday stared at the bed with disdain. “It’s too colorful.” “Would you prefer I get you a coffin?” Her eyes lit up "You can?" “No, I’m fresh out of coffins, so you’re stuck with this.” You said, watching as she reluctantly climbed onto the bed. She lay back, eyeing the bright blankets suspiciously. "Sweet dreams Wends." "Bitter nightmares Y/n." You sat down in the chair, resting your head on the table, exhausted from the day. As your eyelids grew heavier, you couldn’t help but feel… content. Despite everything that happened, the chaos, the stress—it was nice. It was nice… with Wednesday.
Wednesday woke up with a pounding headache, one that reminded her of the few times she'd experienced her visions—but this one was worse. Her skull felt like it was splitting in two. She blinked slowly, squinting against the unfamiliar light filtering through the room. Her mind began to sort through fragments of memories. The camp… those insufferable therapy sessions… the lake… She sat up abruptly, clutching her head as the pain intensified.
Her eyes flicked around the room, landing on your slumped figure, asleep at the desk. You were hunched over, your head resting on your arms, your breathing slow and steady. For some reason, her mind didn’t leap to the worst-case scenarios like it usually did. Normally, she would have assumed she’d been kidnapped or poisoned or worse, but this time, her immediate reaction was different. You were there. And for some strange, infuriating reason, that put her mind somewhat at ease. She quickly squashed that feeling, she needed answers.
“Y/N.” You jolted upright, startled and confused, your eyes wide as you tried to get your bearings. “Wednesday?” you mumbled, rubbing your eyes, still half-asleep. “Where am I?” she asked, her voice sharper now. “And why do I feel like I’ve been run over by a freight train?” You stood, rubbing the back of your neck awkwardly. “You’re at my house,” you said, a bit sheepish. “Uh, sorry about that. After everything that happened last night, I figured it was easier to bring you here instead of taking you all the way back to Nevermore.” Wednesday’s gaze narrowed. “And what, exactly, happened last night?” You grimaced. “It was Rick. He spiked the coffee, and… well, everyone got pretty messed up. You were high.”
A flicker of memory hit her like a punch to the gut. The coffee. Rick. Her emotions spilling out. She had been...drunk. And not just any kind of drunk—emotionally vulnerable drunk. A wave of nausea hit her. "I was what?"
"Yeah, you were... not yourself. And I had to, you know, keep you from stabbing people or throwing knives. At me, mostly." You gave her a nervous chuckle, trying to ease the tension. "So I took you home before you killed anyone."
Wednesday’s face darkened, her expression unreadable. She could vaguely remember the feel of the knife in her hand, the sheer frustration bubbling inside her, and then...she let her guard down. She had felt things—for you. Her hands tightened into fists.
"This was your fault," she said, her voice low, dangerous. “You. You're the reason this happened.”
You blinked in surprise, then frowned. “What? How is this my fault?”
“You.” Her eyes burned with anger, her lips curling into a scowl. “Yesterday, I let you in. And look where that got me—drunk, vulnerable, and completely out of control.”
Her words stung. You had never seen her so agitated, so vulnerable, and yet so defensive at the same time. Your heart sank a little, but you stepped closer to her. “Wednesday, it’s okay. I was there, wasn’t I? I’ll always be there if you need me.”
“That's not the point!” Wednesday snapped. “The point is that I’m never like this. I never allow myself to be anything other than in control. But you... you make me lose that control. You distract me. You’re the reason I wasn’t on guard, the reason I didn’t see it coming.”
For a moment, you were speechless. It wasn’t often that you saw Wednesday like this—raw, emotional, admitting that she wasn’t as impenetrable as she wanted to be. But instead of backing down, you felt your own frustration rising.
“So, what? You’re mad because I’m not a threat to you? Because I make you feel something?”
Her eyes flashed. “Yes!”
You stared at her, genuinely taken aback by her admission. “You’re blaming me for something you’re not used to dealing with that I had no control of.”
Wednesday’s jaw clenched, her eyes narrowing dangerously. "You had control, you entered my life. I never asked you to get close to me," she hissed.
You stared at her for a long moment, the weight of her words sinking in. You shook your head slowly. “You know what? Fine. Be mad. Blame me for all of it. Blame me because you’re scared to admit that you actually care about someone. Go ahead.”
Wednesday’s eyes flashed a bit of emotions, but you didn’t stop.
“Because I can’t do this,” you said, your voice laced with frustration. “I can't keep taking the fault just because you’re too stubborn to admit that maybe, just maybe, you don’t have to be alone all the time.”
“I am not alone,” Wednesday said coldly. “I choose this.”
You looked at her, and for a second, something shifted in your expression. Hurt, maybe. Or disappointment. “Fine. Then go. Be strong and alone, just like you always do.”
The words stung more than she cared to admit. She felt her anger surge again, but this time, there was something else beneath it—an ache she couldn’t name. Without another word, she turned on her heel and stormed out of the room, her mind racing.
Back in your room, you groaned, burying your face in your hands. The frustration, the anger—it was all swirling inside you like a storm. You hadn’t meant to be so harsh, but damn it, Wednesday knew how to push every button.
Still, you couldn’t just leave things like this. Not after everything that had happened.
With a resigned sigh, you stood up, running a hand through your hair as you headed out to find her.
Wednesday stood outside, her arms crossed tightly against her chest as the morning air bit at her skin. She stood rigid, her eyes scanning the unfamiliar surroundings. What part of Jericho is she even in?
She was stuck in this place—your place. A house that felt almost too normal for her liking, too...warm. It was unsettling. And yet, it wasn’t just the unfamiliarity of the setting that rattled her. It was you.
She wasn’t going back inside.
Her pride wouldn’t allow it. She could navigate the situation on her own—she didn’t need help. Wednesday Addams never needed help.
You were the one person she could blame for her current predicament. Yet, somehow, you were also the only person she found herself thinking about.
Her head was still pounding, the remnants of the drug-fueled haze clinging to her like a persistent shadow. It was disorienting and left her feeling unusually out of control.
And that—more than anything—infuriated her.
She wasn’t used to this. Losing control, feeling vulnerable, feeling anything.
It was your fault. You had wormed your way into her life, into her mind, and now, into her emotions. And for what? You were unpredictable, infuriatingly cheerful, and entirely too comfortable in her presence. No one had ever made her feel this conflicted before. And she hated it.
No, she hated you. Right?
What had she said last night? What had you seen? She remembered the rush of emotions flooding her mind, the dizzying sensation of being drunk—something she never allowed herself to be.
And somehow, you had been there, in the middle of it all. And you are still here now...
“Is it really that bad to let someone in, Wednesday?” She stiffened at the sound of your voice, not bothering to turn to face you.
“Yes,” she replied coldly, the answer immediate and sharp. “It would make me weak. Vulnerable.”
You sighed softly, taking a few slow steps toward her, careful not to intrude on her space but just close enough that she couldn’t ignore your presence.
“Vulnerability,” you mused, glancing down at your feet before looking back at her with a sad smile. “I wish I felt vulnerable sometimes. The vulnerability of a mother’s love."
Wednesday’s sharp gaze turned to you, a question forming in her eyes but remaining unspoken.
“My mother died giving birth to me,” you continued, "Talk about being born only to murder your mother,” you chuckled, though it wasn’t filled with your usual warmth. It was tinged with something deeper—pain.
That hit harder than she anticipated. Wednesday wasn’t one for empathy, but something about the way you said it, the way you tried to laugh off the tragedy, made something in her chest tighten. She wasn’t sure why, but the pain in your voice resonated with her.
“I watched as the others played with their mothers,” you continued, your eyes distant now, as if you were seeing something far away. “Dad tried, he really did. But he had work. The cars in his garage weren’t going to fix themselves.”
Wednesday stayed silent, her eyes locked on your profile. She could see the sadness in your eyes now, the weight of it pressing down on you like a dark cloud. You were trying to make a joke of it, trying to downplay the loss, but she could tell how much it still hurt you.
“Why am I telling you all this?” you asked, your voice softer now, more vulnerable than she had ever heard it. “Because, Wednesday... sometimes, the thing we think will make us weak or vulnerable... is actually the thing that’s missing. The thing that could make us whole.”
She remained silent, the words hanging in the air between you both. For the first time in a long time, Wednesday didn’t have a sharp retort, didn’t have some sarcastic comment to throw back at you. She just...stood there. Listening.
What the hell am I even doing?
Her mind raced, and she felt an uncomfortable knot forming in her stomach. You clearly had nothing to hide, no ulterior motives that she could detect. Maybe...maybe she could trust you. But trust was dangerous. She had built her life around never needing to trust anyone. Why should you be any different?
Still, something about your words lingered in her mind, gnawing at her resolve. Vulnerability wasn’t a weakness, you had said. It was the missing piece.
For a moment, she considered the possibility. Maybe, just maybe, letting you in didn’t mean losing control. Maybe it was something else entirely.
She clenched her jaw, finally turning to face you. “Where does this leave us?”
You met her gaze, your expression unreadable for a moment. Then, you gave a soft, almost tired smile.
“What even is this?” she asked, the words slipping out before she could stop them. It was a rare admission of uncertainty from her, and it made her feel exposed in a way she hated.
“I don’t know,” you admitted, shrugging slightly. “But does it really need to have a name? This...whatever this is...it can just be ‘this’ till we enjoy each other’s company.” You smirked, trying to lighten the mood. “Well, I clearly enjoy yours. I don’t know about you.”
Wednesday rolled her eyes, but there was no real malice in the gesture. “You aren’t entirely intolerable,” she muttered under her breath, her voice softer than usual.
You laughed at that, a genuine laugh that seemed to lift some of the tension between you. “High praise coming from you,” you teased.
She didn’t respond, but she didn’t need to. The fact that she hadn’t immediately insulted you or walked away was enough of a response.
Then, after a moment, you stretched and yawned, clearly still recovering from the night’s chaos. “Anyway,” you said, “I clearly need coffee. Preferably not spiked" You took a few steps forward, then paused, looking back over your shoulder at her. “You coming?”
She sighed, her expression impassive as she finally moved to follow you.
Whatever this was, it went deeper than that. The things she did for you, the things you made her feel...they weren’t just born from friendship. But no, this wasn’t something romantic either, at least not yet. She wasn’t sure what it was.
And maybe, just for now, that was okay.
This didn’t need a name.

Can you do a part 2 of the platonic reader and the 141+Alejandro where reader gets kidnapped and comes back? I love your writing!
No One Can Hurt You
Sequel to As Long as I'm Here
rating: mature
pairing(s): platonic gn!reader x task force 141 + alejandro + rodolfo
warning(s): language, canon-typical violence, torture, blood, military inaccuracies, mild gore descriptions for a hot second, implied ghost zapping a guy's balls, reader is lowkey traumatized, comfort, no use of y/n, no beta read, possible ooc?
a/n: I did NOT expect to get such an overwhelmingly positive response on the first part?? I was worried that the writing felt bland, but you guys seemed to love it, so here's the highly demanded part two!
synopsis: the 141 and Los Vaqueros weren't going to stand for what happened to you. No one would.
alternative title— fuck around and find out
Tumblr media
"We found the guys your sources claimed to be the men that were there, Captain. But they're refusing to say anything to us. Honestly, it looks like they're just another pair of lackeys." Gaz was speaking over comms with Price after locating a suspect with Roach. The two had found the pair in a dingy old building, a safehouse conveniently placed far from heavily populated civilian areas.
"Should we-"
He was cut off by a series of loud thuds and glass crashing, immediately grabbing his handgun and running into the room where Roach was keeping an eye on their suspects.
Roach had one of the men pinned to the ground, repeatedly decking him in the face whilst letting out frustrated yells and broken cries. Blood splattered across the floor and on his visor, but he could've cared less, it wasn't his anyways.
"Roach, get off of him, that's enough!" Gaz practically had to tear his teammate away from the man with how Roach flailed, grunting and clawing at Gaz's arms to let him go. "Roach, we can't do anything if you bloody kill them!"
Pushing off Gaz, Roach seethed with pained eyes, nearly tearing up out of sheer frustration. "He's hiding something, I know he is! That sadistic fuck started bragging about what they did to the sergeant and- and the smug shit look he had! These are the guys, but they're not telling us everything!"
He knew it was a terrible excuse, but his own gut feelings about reading people's expressions had never proved him wrong before, not when he had an eye for reading people through their body language. Gaz hesitated. He understood why Roach lashed out and didn't blame him for losing his temper, hell, he rarely did, and Gaz would've done the same in all honesty. You meant as much to him as you did to Roach. They were the first friends you made when joining the 141, the ones who helped acclimate you to the team, and the ones who trained under Price alongside you like you were their sibling. But it didn't help that they nearly broke protocol, which would've compromised the mission and made your sacrifice and suffering for nothing.
Looking down at the unconscious yet still-breathing man, Gaz then noticed how the blood pooled around him. It seemed to stop spreading at some point in the floorboards and spilled into an unusually large crack in the wood that looked suspiciously intentional.
"Roach, take the other one and call for exfil but don't tell them to leave just yet." Once his partner left, Gaz kneeled down to the floor and knocked on the wood. It was hollow.
Seems they would definitely need them alive now more than ever.
"I don't know who supplies us, I just work for them! Just ask-" The man let out a cry as Soap held his shoulder, digging his fingers into it and balling his other hand into a fist before landing a solid punch into his gut. A moment passed he choked on air, the wind knocked from him, his mouth painfully dry except for the tears that dripped from his eyes.
"Tell us who you work for or things are about to get real nasty for you like they did for your friend."
"You're in it if you think I'm gonna say shit! The 141 is just a freak show, ain't it? Bunch of you cowards hiding behind stupid callsigns, what the fuck kind of name is—" That earned him another beating. He wailed, writhing in pain against the tight restraints, but ultimately wasting his energy. He only stopped when he heard screams and crackles of what was undoubtedly electricity coming from behind one of the walls of the room.
"So you do know," Soap growled, beating him once more and backing up when he retched from pain. Blood dripped from Soap's knuckles, to which he scowled in disgust and irritation, his accent growing thick, "No, you just had to make things a fuckin' mess, dinnae you?"
Normally, it was Ghost who took care of interrogations, at least the more painful parts of it. But Soap needed to let out his anger in a useful way, he needed to hear the sickening crunch of ribs so that he could remind himself of what you went through and erase any sliver of doubt or sympathy in his mind for the enemy. Every splatter of blood that'd spill when he'd throw a fist across the guy's face was just another testament to how much he despised what happened and how desperately he needed to let it all out.
The man, in his bleary-eyed haze, made out another figure that entered the room. It was Ghost, with a box of electrical clamps in hand. "What is he doing here?"
Soap and Ghost made a silent exchange of words, nodding to one another in confirmation and speaking purely through eye contact. It only created more fear when Soap left the room and the man was all alone with the lieutenant.
"Hey hey hey where are you going you can't leave me with him! I did what I had to do, it's not my fault your friend was collateral—" The man choked on his words when Ghost pulled out two clamps and tested them, both emitting a spark and loud crackles that echoed off the walls. "—fuck! Oh god, no no no—what the fuck are you gonna use that for?!"
The lieutenant was a different situation. Sure, he wanted nothing more than to dig his hands into the man's open wounds, curl his fingers until flesh separated from bone, make them feel just exactly how much they got 'under his skin'. He wanted to hear the satisfying pop! of bones and cartilage. He wanted them to writhe like worms on a scalding sidewalk, pathetic and left for dead. But that wasn't enough, they didn't deserve the time, the effort, nor did they deserve the pleasure of a quick death. No, he needed to make them suffer.
Ghost brought one clamp up to the man's crotch with one hand and held a rusty knife with the other, lowering himself to look directly at his target. It was at that moment the man came to the realization that he wasn't captured, no, he fucked around, pulling off the stubborn shit act until they'd inevitably grow bored of him and move on, maybe put him out of his misery if he was lucky enough. But there was no moving on, there was no luck in this ring of hell. No, not with what had already been done and what couldn't be taken back even if he begged. The 141 was revered for their soldiers and their work, but it was a myth all at the same time. They were said to be efficient and ruthless, better to surrender to than to suffer at the hands of. Since they were off the books, it was a mystery as to what lengths they would go to, just how far they would push the limits.
He had fucked around, and now he'd find out.
They locked eyes, one pair filled with fear, the other devoid of any emotion. There wasn't the sympathy the man prayed for, nor the anger or violence of Soap, not even a hint of mercy or hatred. It was so empty of feeling that it almost felt dismissive, as if the man wasn't a human held hostage but an object, a book to be torn open for answers, then tossed aside. If Soap had been his judge and jury, then Ghost would surely be his executioner. He felt small, insignificant, and hopeless under the gaze as the man he truly believed was death incarnate responded to his question.
"Last. Chance."
One by one, Price and his crew had cleared the facility, evacuating workers and eliminating guards and cartel. After bringing their "guest informants" to the brink of delirium, wrenching them like wet towels to get every drop of info. Along with the intel Gaz gathered from a hidden basement where hard drives of transactions were being kept, they found the main supplier and other bases. If they took down the heart of the operation, it would cause a domino effect, shutting things down to a point where the Los Vaqueros would be able to handle them on their own. With every bullet shot, they were closer to their goal and closer to making up for what they considered a personal failure to protect one of their own and many more.
Maybe it was crazy that their primary motivation beyond recovering the drugs was to seek justice for a single soldier. But it was to prove a point. To prove that they weren't just a team of highly skilled and trained soldiers, to prove that they were a force to be reckoned with, and to prove that you were no less valuable of a member than the others, all of whom would lay their lives on the line for one another. After all,
The 141 was not to be messed with.
Making his way through the rooms and getting closer to the center of it all, Price was interrupted when a door to his side busted open from a man toppling back into it, falling to the ground. He tried to scramble back, a boot quickly stomping onto his chest. Alejandro towered before him, pressing a rifle to his head, growling in Spanish, "Where is your leader?"
The man responded, and without hesitation, the colonel gave him a quick and painless death for his obedience. Looking up, Alejandro nodded in acknowledgment at Price, "I'm not the only one that owes your sergeant, they protected my men, and I owed them a favor even before that."
That caused Price to chuckle, even despite their current circumstances. There was no denying how much of an unnecessarily reckless saint you could be with those you worked with. "I suppose you got a location from that poor bastard?"
"Yes. Have our teams regroup, it's going to be a long night for us all, my friend. But it's worth the trouble for Las Almas and the kid, no?"
"Yes, indeed." Price hummed, the two making their way out and on to finally settle the score.
You woke up blinded by a bright light, briefly contemplating if you were dead and if heaven was actually real all along. But after some time passed, your eyes adjusted to the all-too-familiar setting of the infirmary with its barren walls and sickly sanitized scent. With a groan, you tried to prop yourself up on your elbows until a hand gently pressed you back. Puzzled by the motion, you rubbed your eyes and found your captain looking back at you.
"Easy there, soldier." Price cautioned, and you kept your eyes on him as you laid back down. He had a small smile on his lips, but the way he looked at you signified that he was still concerned for your state, "You alright? Need the nurse or anything?"
"No," You shook your head, wincing at how hoarse your throat was. Price laughed softly and handed you a cup of water he had prepared at the side of your bed, and you started to wonder if he had always kept one there for you and if he even regularly changed it for you. You wouldn't put it past him to, the ol' sap.
Gulping the cool liquid down heartily, you took a few breaths before continuing, "How- how long was I out?"
"About a few days, no longer than a week." He shrugged, your eyes widening in response, "Cut yourself some slack. When you came back, you were bleeding out all over base and in hysterics. Doctor told us that if you got back any later, we would've lost you from the blood loss alone."
"Just the blood loss? Not the drugs? I would've figured the latter would be the end of me." You chuckled until you saw Price's expression, muttering a sheepish 'sorry, too soon?' and sipping your water cup, "I didn't hurt anyone, did I?"
"Well, you did punch Garrick square in the chest, but he's been through worse. Wouldn't stop making puppy eyes at you the entire time after, I think you wounded his heart. Ghost had to restrain you afterward, and you were too weak to do any real damage at that point, just kept screaming your head off until you passed out."
"Shit," You cringed, your face burning hot with shame, "I'm sorry, Captain. I should've been more careful, I could've compromised the mission and-"
"Don't be. Sure, you made a bloody fool of yourself, but you saved your team in the process. And that's got to count for something, yeah?" He nudged you gently, "So don't beat yourself up, especially after you fought your way out of hell."
The sympathetic look he gave you held unspoken words, No one could've known. You couldn't have known. The urge to tear up right then and there was strong, but you didn't want to embarrass yourself more than you already apparently had. Biting back the sting in your eyes, you only quietly nodded in response.
"Good. I'm proud of you, got that?" Price stood from his seat, giving your head a firm pat, "Rest up after they're done with you, alright? Can't have one of my finest on the sidelines for too long, now can I?"
"Honored to be one, Captain." You faltered for a moment, "Wait, 'they'?"
Price only gave you a sly shrug and left the room. You remained to wonder what he meant for approximately ten seconds until Gaz and Roach burst in, the latter immediately glued to your side. So this is who he meant by "they", why were you even surprised?
"Feeling alright there?" Gaz smiled, taking a seat at your other side.
"I should be asking you that, didn't you get all heartbroken after I punched you?"
"I shouldn't have asked," Gaz groaned, shaking his head despite his smile, "Cheeky as ever, huh? Can't even be sympathetic without you trying to make fun of me."
"Well, I for one was pissed!" Roach interjected, "Right after you got here, we got to work on finding the assholes who hurt you and made them eat shit for dinner. Man, I wish I could've been in the interrogation room with Ghost and Soap but Price said I'm only finding an excuse to beat them up more."
Gaz raised a brow, "You were finding an excuse to."
"Well yeah, but I was only gonna mess with them a little bit, not zap their balls like Ghost—"
"I'm sorry, what?" You coughed, stunned by all the information coming out of them and hardly able to keep up. "What happened when I was knocked out?"
"Price didn't tell you? Oh, well," The two began to give you a run-down of events, from how Roach nearly beat the living hell out of your torturers, to the hidden basement, Ghost and Soap's whole interrogation (with great detail via Roach intel), and how both Price and Alejandro held a whole operation and shut down the suppliers.
Gaz shrugged, "Of course, it was mostly to shut it down and for the sake of Las Almas-"
"-but I mean, we also had to defend your honor!" Roach huffed, passionately signing to emphasize his point, "At least I wanted to. Seriously, how fucked up is it that they drugged you? It wasn't even helpful, they're just sickos that-"
Before Roach could further rant, Gaz tugged at the back of his uniform collar and glanced at his watch. "C'mon Roach, we've been here for a good hour and Price has us on duty right now." Roach only whined at Gaz in response but he ignored it, giving you one last glance, "Get some rest and get well soon, mate. I can't babysit all on my own after all."
"Hey!"
You broke out in laughter, watching the two leave and waving them goodbye. While you wished they could've stayed longer, your heart still warmed at the thought of how they cared, waiting for you to wake up and immediately being at your side. It reminded you of how you stayed at their side when they got sick from a mission in the rain and you didn't, so you felt somewhat obligated to help them as the 'survivor'. Perhaps they felt the same way too, that as your friends, they felt obligated and willing to stay by your side in return.
Hours passed since Gaz and Roach had visited, morning turning to late afternoon. The only ones who did pass by were either other soldiers on base needing medical attention or the nurses themselves, who regularly checked up on you. It wasn't exactly the company you wanted, but it was better than agonizing silence and isolation, which you quickly found to be the worst of it all. Not the scars, not the stiff bandages, not even the sickly clean smell, but just when things were silent. When things were silent, your mind went back to the time you spent, the hours you waited in between questions and beatings with nothing but you in your own head fighting for your consciousness. The buzz of the fluorescent lights in the infirmary drilled a hole in your skull the same way that singular overhead light had, drowning out your thoughts in an uncanny way. The IV drip was no better, it kept you awake the same way the rhythm of your own blood dripping had. You hadn't even noticed the way your breathing suddenly turned ragged just like it did when—no, you had noticed, but you didn't want to.
It shouldn't have bothered you as much as it did, it was only a few hours, you've been through worse, others have been through worse.
But god, the silence.
"You doing okay there, uh-" A nurse walked in through the curtains, pulling up the clipboard at the end of your bed and reading your name, "I'm just going to administer some painkillers real quick, okay?"
Unconsciously, you nodded and watched in a slight daze as she pulled up a cart of medical supplies. Your hands balled into fists to stop the trembling you weren't even aware of but somehow knew you had to hide. It hadn't quite registered to you what was going on or what she had said, even as you watched her fill up the syringe and flick it. But the moment you felt the needle against your skin, you roughly grabbed her wrist, causing her to yelp and drop it.
Your hands began to tremble again, growing clammy. You became all too aware of how muffled the nurse's panicked words were but how sharp the ringing in your ears was, piercing your brain. Words wouldn't come out of your mouth, replaced with small, quick breaths while your eyes darted around to find something, anything to focus on with your blurred vision.
"At ease, sergeant." A heavily accented voice spoke, ripping you from your haze and you turned to find that familiar skull mask standing by the curtains.
"I... I'm sorry," You mumbled, letting go of the poor woman's wrist and hanging your head apologetically. Your breaths returned to normal, the lights were less bright, and the noise was gone for now.
"I think it's best if you ask the doctor to try other kinds of painkillers with our friend here, miss. They aren't too fond of needles, ain't that right?" Soap appeared behind Ghost, trying to keep things lighthearted with how tension in the air was thick enough to suffocate in. The nurse nervously nodded her head before walking away with the cart, understandably still shaken by what had happened.
"I'd ask if you're doin' okay, but it seems a bit obvious now, ain't it, Ghost?"
The other grunted in response, sitting down at one of the chairs by your side. "You'd think they'd know better with these kinds of things."
"Don't be mean now, they're just doing their jobs," The scotsman chuckled, turning back to you, "Now, aren't you quite the sight for sore eyes? Sorry we couldn't make it earlier, we got tied down with paperwork after the whole fiasco, you know about that yet?"
"Yeah, I didn't expect you guys to get the job done so fast."
"Aw, did you want us to leave you some left over? If I'd known, I would've told Ghost to go a little easier on the lads." Soap was the only one trying to make any conversation out of this visit and you already knew the reason for Ghost's silence. It was just like in the helicopter after you took the blow for him, though you were pretty sure a pun wouldn't be enough to break him from "brooding" like last time.
"Sure. Would've loved to get a few punches back on them," You teased back, "But thank you guys. Really. I know it wasn't the main purpose, but I really appreciate that you guys had my safety in mind. Never figured joining the 141 would come with vengeance perks, or am I just that special to you guys?"
"You little shite, you," Soap cackled, ruffling your hair.
"Looks like they beat us here, Rudy." Alejandro's voice chimed out of the blue, appearing soon after.
"Too bad, I was hoping we'd have them to ourselves," Rodolfo hummed, followed behind with a gift basket in hand, "At least we bought something, eh?"
"Oi! We would've brought something too, we just wanted to get here as soon as we got back." Soap pouted, "Tell 'em Ghost."
"Actually I was hoping to get a 'get well' card on our way here." The masked man mumbled, ignoring his partner's offended gasp.
"You seein' this?" He whined, but you also ignored him, favoring the sweets that were in the gift basket.
"How'd you know this was my favorite?" You gasped, your reaction had the two Vaqueros looking at each other with proud faces.
"I have my sources."
"Ale, you just asked around base."
"That still counts as sources."
The whole lot of you started breaking into conversation, the boys exchanging their accounts of their ambush. In return, you shared what had happened when you were caught and how you escaped in a small summary of events, which led to them ranting about the men they interrogated and about the drugs themselves. Even Roach, Price, and Gaz popped in one last time for the day to visit you and join in on the discussion. Seeing them all like this, gathered around your bed, laughing and bantering, it almost made you forget all that had happened. You wanted to cherish this moment, keep a mental picture of it framed over the locked box in the back of your mind. Being in the military never allowed much room for friends gathering and all this chit-chatting outside of pubs, so it was a rare sight for sore eyes.
In a way, it made your life a little more meaningful. Reminded you that you weren't just a "good soldier", you were a teammate, a friend. You were important, someone worth fighting for. A purpose.
Although the job was harsh and you always felt like you had a gun to your head, that everyone wanted you dead on the battlefield, the 141 always showed you that someone out there still cared, still wanted you to fight and stay alive. Even if life tried to put you six feet under, they'd be there to pull you out without hesitation. You didn't have to doubt or question why, you already knew the answer.
You were family.
Unfortunately, the moment couldn't last for long, the poor nurse from before had been startled by the sheer volume of people around you, especially when most of them were high-ranking. Regardless, she chastised them for keeping you up when you needed your rest (you didn't) and began to shoo them all out. It was almost comedic how the group of giant, intimidating men left with little resistance in a pile of shame. Christ, they look like a pack of sad puppies, you humorously thought to yourself.
Ghost was the last to leave, hesitating to say something by the way he just stood there, curling his hands into fists. You had to force yourself not to laugh right then and there. For someone who was so silent and stoic for most conversations, he was easy to read. It wasn't hard to notice how his eyes kept flickering to your bandages the entire time he sat there, followed by the flashes of concern on his face every time you had coughed from laughing too hard or accidentally hurt yourself by shifting your body too quickly.
"I'll be alright, Simon." Giving him a reassuring smile, you hoped he'd take your words to heart, "Don't worry about it, I'll be on the field right as rain again in two days tops and you can kick my ass around all you want then. Promise."
He didn't say anything for a moment, and you began to worry that maybe your words were too cheap for him to believe, or maybe that he was more upset than you'd originally thought.
"You better be sure." He finally responded, "I take my promises pretty seriously, remember that, sergeant."
You stared at him all googly-eyed until your lips broke into a wide grin, beaming brightly at him and shouting as he left.
"Message received, L.T!"

a/n: AAAA I haven't written this much in so longgg. I had the first half already down from the last part because it went on for too long, but this one is nearly DOUBLE the word count. It's bound to have some grammar mistakes, but I hope that doesn't ruin the immersion too much. Let me know what you guys think!

𝐅𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐂𝐋𝐔𝐁 | 𝐑𝐔𝐓𝐆𝐄𝐑 𝐌𝐂𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐘
Tumblr media
summary: your boyfriend and his friends drunkenly create their own little fight club, in which he winds up getting hurt.
warnings: blood, mentions of fighting, mentions of drinking, slight angst, indications of nsfw content.
note: fun fact this is what my brother and his friends do for fun. they have their own walk up songs and everything.
word count: 0.9k
It was somewhere around midnight, or around when you finished page 4 of 8 of your paper, that you heard the crash and shouting from downstairs.
You needed somewhere to get your paper done, and with your roommate's boyfriend in town and the library closed at this hour, you turned to your boyfriend. He lended you his room while him and his roommates hung out downstairs.
They had been relatively quiet until a couple of minutes ago when the shouting started. You assumed they were playing video games, getting competitive as they normally do, however the crash was making you think something was wrong.
You set your laptop down, making your way out of Rutgers room and down to the living room where the boys were hanging out. As you turn the corner, you run smack into Ethan, coming out of the kitchen holding a wet rag.
“Oh, hey y/n!” He says, his voice louder and higher pitched than normal.
You are immediately suspicious, narrowing your eyes at the boy. “What’s going on? I heard a crash.” You ask.
“Nothing, just… spilled a drink is all.” Ethan says. You almost want to believe him but a sudden shout from the living room that sounds like your boyfriend makes you hesitate.
“Ow! Don’t touch it!” Rutger shouts.
You push past Ethan, going into the living room. On the coffee table are several bottles of beer, along with hockey helmets and boxing gloves. Sitting on the couch with a bright red gash on his left cheek, is your shirtless boyfriend, Dylan on one side and Frank on the other.
“What the hell is going on in here?” You ask. Ethan comes in after you, walking to Rutger to hand him the rag.
“Busted.” Mark says, standing beside the fireplace, sans shirt but wearing boxing gloves and a hockey helmet.
You look around noticing all of them shirtless, some wearing boxing gloves. “Okay what the fuck is going on?” You ask, now concerned more than anything.
“Hey babe.” Rutger smiles. He winces as his cheek muscles move. “How’s the paper coming?”
“Don’t change the subject.” You say.
“Okay, we had this really great idea that we would box but wear hockey helmets so our faces wouldn’t get fucked up.” Gavin explained. “But Roger here didn’t attach his helmet properly cause it slipped off, cutting his cheek when Mark gave him a sweet right hook.”
A look of horror appears on your face as you recognize the situation. “So you guys got drunk and decided to form your own fight club?” You ask.
There’s a beat of silence then all the boys nod, exhibiting a chorus of ‘yeah’s.
You shake your head in disbelief. “I am fully convinced none of you graduated kindergarten because what is wrong with you guys?”
They sense your disappointment, all of them hanging their heads slightly. You walk over to your boyfriend, taking the damp rag from his hand.
“C’mere.” You say, taking his hand and bringing him to the bathroom.
You re-wet the rag, dabbing it against the cut. He winces, pulling away. “Oh don’t be a baby, it's just water.” You say.
“Yeah…but it still hurts.” He mumbles.
He meets your eyes, reading the disappointed look on your face. “I’m sorry.” He says.
“Yeah, you should be!” You say, the fear that had manifested into anger spilling out. “Do you know how stupid this is?”
“It was just… a drunk idea.” Rutger shrugged.
“Exactly. What are you going to tell coach Naur when he asks where you got the cut on your cheek from? Are you gonna tell him that you got drunk and fought your teammates?” You ask.
“I didn’t plan to get my face all chopped up!” Rutger counters.
You step back, sighing. “I just… please be smarter?”
Your words seem harsh but Rutger understands what you’re saying. “I know. I'm sorry.” He says.
“I’m sorry too.” You say. “I was too snappy.”
“No it’s warranted. We were being idiots.” Rutger chuckles.
“You were being such an idiot.” You laugh, going back to cleaning his wound.
“I may be an idiot but at least I’m your idiot.”
You snort. “You really know how to talk your way out of trouble.”
“Hey, it works.” Rutger says, throwing his hands up in defense.
You clean away the rest of the blood, dabbing it dry. “You’ll need to go and get a proper bandage for it tomorrow.” You say.
“Or I don’t and I get a cool scar out of it.” Rutger says, checking out the cut in the mirror.
“No. No scar.” You shake your head.
“What? I thought scars were hot and mysterious?” Rutger asks.
You find yourself not being able to disagree with his statement, biting the inside of your cheek. You turn on the sink, cleaning the rag of your boyfriend’s blood.
“Oh I knew it.” Rutger smirks. He snakes his arms around your waist, making eye contact through the mirror.
He slowly places kisses up the nape of your neck, leaning around to place more on your jaw. You tilt your head, giving him better access.
His lips unlatch from your skin, you whimpering from the lack of contact. “How about a break from your essay?”
The pair of you exit from the bathroom, you sticking your head into the living room. “Sorry boys, the fight club is over. We’re heading to bed.” You tell them.
Rutger barely waits for you to finish your sentence before he hands your waist, yanking you back into the hall and towards the stairs. You let out a shriek as you’re pulled into his arms.
“Are you guys switching to wrestling now?” Mark shouts after you.
You guys ignore him and the rest of the boys jeering after you, stumbling your way up the stairs.

can i request relationship hcs with the avisos boys? i really liked the ones u did for the hades demons even though i dont like any of them that much after chapter 5 lmao 😭
Do I see our favourite family? 👀 Here we go! The scenario will be similar, but we will change the topic a bit. Hades had a ball, and here let's welcome a new fluffy member of the family.
This turned out to be longer than I planned, I hope you don't mind. I just love these guys too much-
꧁:・ ✡ ・:꧂
Bael circled his own Bermuda Triangle - kitchen, office, bedroom. You knew his daily schedule perfectly, you knew when he woke up, when he fell asleep at his desk, and when to get out of his way so as not to fall victim to his legendary cookies.
You quietly opened the door to his bedroom, the first rays of sunlight falling on the dug-out bedding. Bael looked so peaceful. He was sleeping deeply, his broad shoulders rising and falling with his breath, the muscles on his chiseled back twitching as he dreamed something. Despite his tight uniform, you rarely had this view as his back was covered by his cape and the chair. You came closer and combed blond hair which was scattered on the pillow.
“You know I hate waking you up.” You whispered, hoping he wouldn't hear. Just as you were getting up, you felt a firm grip on your waist.
“I'm awake…”
“Mm. Of course." He looked so adorably sleepy that you crouched down next to him and tapped him on the nose. “You should rest some more. Avisos can handle itself for an hour or two.”
He lifted an eyelid as if he was thinking about what you said. You tried to leave again, but he pulled you towards him. Despite being sleepy, he had a strong grip. You landed on his bare chest, radiating warmth and the smell of fresh bedding.
“This isn't sleeping.”
"It is." He wrapped his arms around you tightly, murmuring into your hair. “I have to be sure that I will get up soon... and that my alarm clock won’t run away.”
“I can sneak out as silently as a cat!”
“You probably haven't seen Hell’s cats.”
He kissed the top of your head, and before you could respond properly, you felt his breathing slow down. He was sleeping, so you kissed him on the lips for good dreams. Avisos can handle itself, and you in your boredom came up with a brilliant idea.
꧁:・ ✡ ・:꧂
Naberius looked at you like you were crazy when you told him what was on your mind. You were walking down the aisles of the pet store, right between toys shaped like angel wings or fetch pitchforks. You put into his basket one by one what looked the least poisonous and suspicious to you.
“Did I understand correctly… Do you want to adopt a cat?”
“Not me, us.” You made it clear. “He will live with you in the palace.”
He didn't look happy.
“Cat.”
You reached out and scratched his chin. He tried to be strong, but then he leaned his head back and his lips twitched happily from the petting.
“Yes, kitten. Because I already have the best puppy in the world here, with me. You will take care of him, right?”
“Maybe… He will have to be brought up so that he does not disturb Bael at work.”
He tried to be strong, but you knew he couldn't say no to you. And in addition to the cat food (at least you hoped it was cat food), you discreetly added a collar that would go well with the black glasses and red horns.
꧁:・ ✡ ・:꧂
Amon helped you put out the pet shopping and arrange the room so that it would be ready for a new little roommate. He sat cross-legged in the corner, between the cat lounger and the food bowl, and read the instructions for the small water fountain you had just assembled. He clicked a few buttons and water began gushing from above and pouring down to the lower levels.
“Did you know it's a bird fountain?”
“It's also suitable for a cat.”
His legs looked so comfortable. You couldn't resist. You brazenly placed yourself on his lap and wrapped your arms around his narrow waist, completely distracting him from the instructions. He hugged you tightly and started purring like a kitten himself.
“Nabe said he would help me raise her, but you all will be definitely switching places. After all, if you have patrols, you won't always be in the castle.”
Amon stroked your cheek. He completely forgot about shopping, and water from the waterer he turned on was spilling onto the floor. You tried to turn it off, but it splashed you in the face. As you snorted water, he quickly corrected the wobbly structure.
"Be careful, love, that's not how it's done. Come on, I'll help you.” He cooed, wiping your wet face gently. “Maybe I should fix it?”
“That's probably a better idea.”
You agreed, but when he leaned towards you with his love-struck smile, you wanted to forget about the waterer and pull him down to the carpet with you in a deep kiss.
꧁:・ ✡ ・:꧂
Stolas was your companion whom you took to the shelter. Despite your excitement, you tried to remain calm. You just didn't know why he kept boasting about how he would defeat any beast you chose, but everything became clear when you arrived. The enclosure where the animals roamed looked more like a coliseum full of wild beasts than a meadow with cute kittens. The smallest of them made Earth's lions look like meerkats.
“Just show me who to beat for you!” Stolas rubbed his hands together with aggressive excitement. “Who makes you sad?”
You sighed in resignation.
“I thought they were smaller. When I was shopping with Amon, all the things we bought… were smaller.”
“So it's Amon's fault? I knew. I'll kill him!"
"Wait!" You placed your hands on his chest as he was already turning around to find another devil. “I thought I could have a cat in the palace… but I see they are too big.”
He looked closely at your disappointed face, then pursed his lips.
“If you like animals, I can take you to an owl cafe.”
If he wanted to cheer you up, he made it. You tilted your head with interest.
“Will you turn into an owl yourself?”
"NO!"
You hoped he was lying. You needed a fluffy ball to cuddle up to. Either way, your mood improved significantly as you left the coliseum filled with beasts for a cozy cafe full of cooing birds.
꧁:・ ✡ ・:꧂
You were sitting at your desk, finishing writing down financial reports you wanted to help the Baels with. You've almost come to terms with the fact that you won't have a kitten when Beelzebub stormed into your room without warning. You stared at him with question marks on your face.
"I have something for you!"
His presence hadn't even dawned on you yet, and there was already a cardboard box on the table. He handled it surprisingly gently. Put it down slowly, as if there were porcelain tableware inside, even though it looked solid. It was a strange box, making sounds through tiny holes on the sides.
Beelzebub stood behind you, resting his elbows on your shoulders and folding his arms over your chest.
“Go ahead, you should check it out, I'm sure you'll like it…” He trailed off when, instead of reaching into the box, you took his hands.
“I'd rather have you than welcome gifts, you know?”
He fell silent for a moment. You couldn't see his face, but his voice had softened noticeably.
“You'll like this one. I promise. Open up, don't make her wait.”
You had a feeling you knew what you would find, and it makes you ticklish inside. When you lifted the lid, a pair of coal-black eyes stared at you from a fluffy muzzle. Kitten. A small, striped, earthly kitten. Your voice stuck in your throat as you squeezed Beel's hands tighter.
"How did you know…!"
“I'm everywhere and hear everything, baby.” He reached out and grabbed the kitten by the nape, just like its mother would. Little pet started meowing.
“Gentler!” You smacked him and took the fluffy ball in both hands. “Is this how you treat your new daughter?”
“My daughter?”
"Yes. Now that you have a baby, you have to visit us more often, you know?”
He leaned down and nuzzled his nose into your shoulder.
“As soon as this is all over.” He promised in a whisper so quiet it might as well have been your imagination. “I will never leave you again. I promise.”
You held the purring kitten to your chest with one hand and stroked Beel's soft hair with the other. Despite his giddiness, you felt that these were not idle words. Your heart sank at the thought that he missed you too. Whatever was going to end, let it end quickly, because all you wanted was to go to sleep next to him, knowing that you wouldn't wake up in an empty bed.

Garroth growing up in a blood family that doesn’t treat him with any love, so as a kid he wishes so hard for the destined, perfect love of his life to come and save him, whisking him away like a knight in shining armor, to a life where he’s truly loved, and it’s that escapism in fantasy that he’s constantly using to cope and keep himself sane growing up
He dreams of the day someone will love him, unconditionally and truly, and though he doesn’t really know what that’ll look like yet, it’s something that he just knows intrinsically in his heart and yearns for desperately. He’s a big lover, he’s super empathetic and sensitive, he has a big heart, especially as a kid. Whenever he falls for anyone, he falls HARD, but he can’t seem to find anyone who would love him back as much as he loves them (especially since people keep seeing him as The Prince and not lovey little Garroth)
Then Garroth being forced to marry a woman he had never loved and barely even met before. Marriage being used as a giant weapon to forever seal him into the horrific life as heir to the throne, as one of the permanent pieces of this broken and abusive monarchical system, when marriage and love was supposed to be one thing that got him out, and it breaks him so much that he abandons everything and runs away. If no perfect and magical knight in shining armor will save him, then he’ll do it himself, alone.
And then he meets the most romantic knight in the world.
Laurance is so extremely homoerotic and suggestive and flirtatious with him all the time, even in canon, especially in canon
Laurance loves LOUDLY and a LOT, he’s very honest and up-front about all the emotions in his heart, and when he falls in love with someone (as opposed to falling in surface-level lust with someone) he falls HARD, but unlike Garroth, he is NOT shy about it lol
Laurance sending love and affection Garroth’s way in droves, and Garroth being utterly confused and clueless about it, because no one has ever spoken to him this way, hell, I don’t think his sheltered Princely blood has even SEEN any other person talk this way. Like Laurance just honestly and bluntly telling him “Hey big guy, I think you’re hot and cute as fuck, we should fuck on the beach right here, whaddya say?” like how is his brain going to compute that, he’s never even SEEN an affectionate relationship before, let alone seen someone be so clear and forward about it
And Laurance is honest and means every word he says, he’s not trying to play or trick Garroth. At one point Garroth thinks he is and gets super suspicious of him, but then Laurance laughs and denies it so casually and easily, and now Garroth is lost again
He literally meets the most affectionate person ever. He’s honest and upfront about his affections, he’s patient enough to give Garroth all the time in the world, he’s emotionally intelligent enough to know why he’s struggling so much with his gestures, and he’ll just patiently stand there and watch him while he has an existential crisis trying to figure out what love even means after Laurance gave him a bouquet of hand-picked flowers. Trust Issues Garroth would eventually try to accept all these kind things Laurance says about him, rather than deny the compliments and insist he’s all the things Zane and his father called him as a child. He leans into the affections, and Garroth learning how love actually works, as the very man he dreamed of as a child holds his face in his hands, and does not mock or beat or hurt him, but kisses him on the cheek instead.
Garroth learning how to love from Laurance’s unconditional and obnoxious affections, slowly becoming less and less afraid of it, until he embraces it completely and starts to give Laurance So Very Much Loving in return like he was always capable of doing. And Laurance is perfectly capable of handling the immense amount of affection, he finds it exciting actually
And though I don’t think homophobia is a thing that exists in this fantasy world, I think it’s also thematically perfect that Laurance is the exact kind of person that Garroth’s parents would HATE having as a son-in-law. Laurance’s rebellious pride is perfect for that role of breaking Garroth free of the abusive strings of his evil monarchical family and learning how to love himself instead

Yandere Vox X food Delivery trans masc walker reader
I'm guessing by "walker" you mean reader walks to deliver food. If not I apologize
Tumblr media
Other Motives
Yandere Vox x trans masc food deliverer
Tw: yandere behavior, manipulation, mind control, violence, mild swearing
You didn't mind walking. Although it did present occasional dangers. You normally liked the physical activity and you liked the scenery. On the nicer parts of town of course
But one day you got a job to deliver to a not so nice part of town. Your employer could care less that you didn't have a vehicle and you needed this job to pay for your testosterone and to save up for your top and bottom surgery. So you grabbed some mace and decided to jog there
You're crappy shoes didn't make the jog very pleasant but you would rather not slow down in this area of town. Unfortunately your feet had other plans
You fell to the ground when your foot cramped up bad. You clenched your arch and grimaced. And you were practically pleading for the pain to go away so you could get away from this alley you had stopped in front of
Footsteps pulled your attention away and you saw three large sinners beginning to surround you
You silently and discreetly reached for your mace
"Well, well, well. Lookee what we have here. You're on our turf buddy" the biggest one said threateningly
"I'm sorry. I was just passing through. I'll leave immediately" you tried to talk your way out of the situation
"Nope. Nobody just walks right into our turf without a punishment. We're gonna teach you a lesson!!!" The man grabbed you by the collar and that's when sprayed him directly in the eyes
He screamed and clutched his face in pain but his buddies were quick to take over. One them kicked you in the gut and you fell over. Then the other kicked the mace out of your hand
"You're gonna pay for that asshole!" The biggest shouted still covering one of his eyes
"Gentlemen, gentlemen." A voice came from behind
"I'm sure this won't be necessary" he continued.
You turned and looked with the thugs about to beat you to a pulp to see a tall man in a blue suit with a bow tie and..... a TV for a head? Is that Vox? You wondered. He was one of the vees and possibly the richest most influential sinner in hell and a powerful overlord
"Vox?!?" One of the guys exclaimed
"Yes. And I do think it's rude for you to beat up one of my workers" he muttered while straightening his bow tie. He seemed so uninterested or was it his way of showing them he doesn't see them as a threat?
Though you were definitely NOT his worker you figured it out and played along
"Boss! I was bringing you your lunch when these guys attacked me!" You shifted the focus onto them and as you looked at them they had terror in their eyes
"S-sorry we-we didn't know he worked for you. We'll leave" they didn't wait for him to respond but immediately took off like cowards
You struggled to stand up until a hand outstretched to help you
You took Vox's hand and thanked him
Although you were curious why he helped you...
"You know you should get those injuries checked. If you come by the studio I can have someone take a look at that for you" he offered
"No thanks" you declined. "If I'm late for this delivery I won't have a job to come back to"
Vox had look in his eyes as if he was about say something but changed his mind
"Well I can have one of my drones deliver it for you and you don't have to tell a soul" he winked. He was being suspiciously nice
You knew most overlords were not the nicest people and you weren't sure it would be a good idea to trust him
"You wouldn't want to have run into any more trouble would you?" He smiled kind of deviously
He did have a point
Stay out here and risk getting attacked again or go with the guy who just saved you
Against your better judgment (or maybe it was cause you were tired, injured, and slightly terrified), you agreed to let him handle the delivery and go with him
Back at the studio, someone looked you over and patched you up. You relaxed. No longer feeling like you were in danger
"So why walk all the way through that neighborhood?" Vox asked as he shooed away his assistant leaving the two of you alone in his office
"I don't have a car" you responded
"And your boss was ok with that?" He questioned. His fingers tapping the desk in a rhythmic drum
"My boss doesn't care as long as he gets his money at the end of the day" you replied rather bluntly
"Well why don't you quit? Surely no job is worth risking your life?" He acted like that was reasonable and to be fair it was
You didn't know why but you decided to trust him with knowing more about your identity than most people
"I need the money for hormone therapy and surgery. I'm trans" you admitted in relief to finally tell someone. Though anxiety immediately followed
"Wow! I couldn't even tell. You pass very well" he said with last part almost sounding flirtatious but you figured you were just overthinking
"Thanks" you smiled at him. He seemed so nice. You didn't know if it was from exhaustion or if it was real but you felt yourself trusting him more and more in his presence
"You know," he said approaching you before sitting down next to you on the couch. "You could come work for me. I'll pay you better. Provide you with a vehicle and you will be much safer. There might even be some opportunity for advancement"
It all sounded too good to be true. Which you knew usually meant that it was. You were hesitant. "I'm... I'm not sure"
Suddenly when you looked in his eyes you thought for moment you saw them change. Then you started to relax and you started to question yourself. Why did you think he would trick you? He saved you! He's been nothing but nice
You felt your worries melt away as you continued to look in his eyes and you heard his voice. "You know this is what you want. Don't you wanna come work for me?" His voice feeling like it was merging with your thoughts
And this time you answered without hesitation
"Yes"
Let me know if you want part 2

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 Part 6 Part 7 Part 8 Part 9 Part 10 Part 11 Part 12
"Hey Vaggie?"
"What do you want?" Vaggie said.
"Do you and Charlie have a second?" she asked. "Me and Alastor made something that we think could help get more guests for the hotel."
"What exactly did you and Alastor make?" Vaggie asked, eyeing Y/N suspiciously.
"Find Charlie and find out," she giggled, walking away. "We'll be downstairs."
Tumblr media
"They'll be here in a minute," she said as she walked down the stairs.
"Ah wonderful!" Alastor said. "Thank you for telling them, dear."
"It's nothing to thank me over," she waved off, walking over to stand next to Alastor. "But you're welcome."
"Alright," Angel Dust said from the couch. "What's the deal with you two? You fuckin' or what?"
Alastor didn't say anything, but Y/N saw that his eye started to twitch, his smile becoming more forced.
"It's nothing like that Angel," she awkwardly laughed. "We were just really close when we were alive,"
"You're not doin' a good job of convincin' me, toots."
"Oh my Satan, how many times do I have to explain it to you?"
"This will be the last time, dear," Alastor said, putting his hand on her shoulder. "Unless our friend wants to hear his screams broadcasted to all of Hell."
Before Angel Dust could reply, Charlie came downstairs, dragging Vaggie by her hand.
"Oh my gosh, I'm so excited to see what you guys made!" she gushed, sitting on the couch. "Thank you guys so much for taking the time to make whatever it is,"
"You don't have to thank us, Charlie," Y/N said. "Besides, it was Alastor's idea to make the whole thing."
"Yes, but you also had part in making it," Alastor said.
"Can we just watch whatever it is now?" Vaggie asked, annoyed.
"Oh, right," Y/N said sheepishly, turning on the TV.
Tumblr media
"So, what'd ya think?" Alastor said, turning off the TV after the commercial ended.
For a moment, Charlie and Vaggie didn't say anything, they just had looks of confusion and shock on both their faces.
"I'm sorry, what the fuck was that?" Vaggie said angrily.
"Hey, we worked hard on puttin' that together!" Y/N said, putting her hands on her hips.
"It's good," Charlie said, a fake smile on her face. "Alastor, Y/N-I mean," Charlie couldn't find the words to say.
"Do you not like it?" Y/N asked.
"No! No!" Charlie exclaimed, waving her arms around. "It's amazing! Thank you both so much for making it, but um..maybe the tone is a bit off?"
Neither Alastor or Y/N said anything. Vaggie continued to glare at both of them angrily.
"We want people to want to come here," Charlie continued. "This makes it look...umm-"
"Bad," Vaggie interrupted. "The word you're looking for is bad."
"We made it like that 'cause we thought it was funny," Y/N said, glaring at Vaggie.
"Hilarious is a better term for it, my dear," Alastor said, tilting his head.
"It didn't explain anything about how we're trying to save demons from extermination, which is the whole fucking point!"
"The commercial explained all of that," Y/N said.
"It didn't explain any of it!" Vaggie said angrily, crossing her arms.
"Vaggie is right," Charlie said. "The commercial was to let Sinners know we are trying to help them."
"Well, my dear," Alastor said, running his fingers across his cane. "I haven't been active in Hell for some time, and everyone remembers me from my radio show. The proper medium to express oneself! But you insisted on this noisy picture box advertisement, so we had a little fun with it." he finished, smirking.
"Oh, fun. You had a little fun with it?" Vaggie said, standing up. "Well, this is not what we want representing us."
"You said you wanted help," Y/N said, a small frown on her face. "This is us tryin' to help."
"Well then try harder," Vaggie said. "When you two showed up, both of you said you would help run the hotel, instead you're mocking us! Nobody's going to want to come to a place where two powerful Overlords think is a big waste of time!" she finished, sitting back down, scowling.
"Just be grateful we're actually trying to help," Y/N said as calmly as she could, taking a seat next to Angel. "You know what people think of this place. They all think it's the most stupidest idea ever. At least you have people like me and Al wantin' to help."
Before Vaggie could respond, Angel raised his gloved hand from the couch.
Vaggie turned her attention to him, "What?"
"If'n ya filmin' a commercial, can I suggest you take better advantage of the talented celebrity you have right here?" he said, all four of his hands pointing to himself.
"Angel, you're a porn star."
"A famous porn star," he corrected her, putting his legs on Y/N's lap. "I'll have the horniest sinners knockin' down these walls to get in."
"We are not filming a porn as a commercial." Vaggie said. Charlie just looked concerned.
"Why not?" Angel asked. "Sex sells, don't it? I swear, you film a threesome with mister fancy talk creepy voice and miss dommy mommy vibes and me, you'd be rollin' in participates willin' to stay at this tacky hotel."
Blushing, Y/N immediately pushed his legs off her.
"Gross, Angel,"
"Haha! Never going to happen!"
"Angel," Charlie began, smiling awkwardly. "I appreciate you wanting to use your special skills to, um, attract folks to the hotel, but- I don't want to exploit you in that way!"
"Oh, please, baby," Angel waved off. "This body was made to be exploited. I got the arms, I got stamina, I got the legs, I got the lung capacity-"
Y/N walked over to Alastor as Angel continued to talk about his body.
"Told you she wouldn't like the commercial," she muttered as Charlie's phone began to ring.
"All that matters is that it's entertaining, dear." he said. "Everybody likes a good laugh, don't you think?"
"Hey, I have a question," Angel said, interrupting Y/N and Alastor. "Why can't you just make people stay here babycakes? Since you're so powerful and all."
"I can," Y/N said, her eyes glowing red for a split second. "I just don't feel like doin' it."
Vaggie scoffed.
"What about you freaky face?" Angel asked
"Oh, trust me, I can!" Alastor said ominously, his antlers beginning to grow.
"Why do you think I'm here?" Husk called from the bar.
Everyone turned to look at him.
"You actually think I'd be cleaning bottles and listening to you fuck's bitch and moan all the time if he wasn't forcin' me?" he said as he cleaned a bottle.
"I like being forced," Nifty said, popping up from behind the bar.
"Keep that to yourself, Niff,"
"What, you don't love being here with me, Whiskers?" Angel teased.
"Call me Whiskers again and I'll jam that bottle down your throat!" Husk threatened.
"Kinky. Come one keep talkin' dirty."
"Angel, let Husk do his job," Vaggie sighed. "And no, we can't force sinners to stay here. They need to choose to."
"I'm choosing to be here, and I think it's all stupid." he said. "We're in Hell, toots. That's kind of the end of the road, ain't it?"
"Well maybe it doesn't have to be."
"Nobody's made it out Vaggie," Y/N pointed out. "How do we know getting redeemed is even possible?"
"We just have to try," Vaggie said. "It doesn't mean it's not possible."
"Hey," Angel said, putting his hand on Vaggie's shoulder. "Whatever means I can keep crashin' here rent free. Crack is expensive."
"I've been meanin' to ask, Al," Y/N said quietly. "Are you here to get redeemed?"
"Heavens no!" Alastor chuckled. "I'm simply here for entertainment!"
"Explain more, please," Y/N said.
"I came here because I love seeing wasteful souls struggle to accomplish something meaningful and fail spectacularly!" he exclaimed. "Isn't that why you came here?"
"A little bit yes, but-"
Before Y/N could finish, she heard Vaggie and Charlie.
"But-But the extermination just happened. What could they want this soon after-"
Charlie cut off Vaggie "This is the perfect opportunity, Vaggie," she smiled. "I could get Heaven on board with my plan."
"Charlie hold on-"
Charlie ignored Vaggie. "There's no way I can mess this up!" she said, pacing all around the room. "This is a once in a lifetime opportunity!"
"It's just a meeting," Vaggie groaned.
"When I speak to them, I'm going to change their minds and touch their hearts, or whatever angels have, actually."
"This could be bad," Vaggie said.
"Vaggie, it's gonna be alright!" Charlie said, taking Vaggie's hands and spinning around. "Something tells me that today will be a happy day in Hell!"
And with that, Charlie bolted out the door.
Everyone but Husk and Vaggie crowded around the door.
"She's halfway down the street," Y/N called out, giggling.
"Is she-?" Vaggie started
"Oh, she's dancin'," Angel finished, taking a drink of his booze.
"Ugh, no!" Vaggie groaned.
Tumblr media
Y/N was currently sitting in her room, going through paperwork of all the demons she killed. Something about seeing the number of lives she took away really boosted up her ego.
Going through the paperwork, she remembered the conversation she had with that woman on the phone before Alastor came in and brought up the idea for the commercial.
Remembering it, her eyes glowed a dangerous red. She was going to hunt down this woman, and she was going to do it now.
She opened her bedroom door and strode out, giving out a dangerous energy that even Angel and Vaggie knew not to mess with.
"I'll be back soon, Vaggie," she said, knowing that Vaggie wanted to ask. "I have some business to take care of, I shouldn't be gone long."
"What kind of business, hm?" Alastor suddenly asked, startling her. "You seem to be in a rush."
"It's something that I want done and I want it done right now." She said. Alastor saw the dangerous glint and his grin grew wider. "You're welcome to join me. Or not, I don't care."
Wanting to see Y/N in action, Alastor nodded eagerly. "Alright then,"
Y/N smirked. "I suggest you find another to keep up with me,then," she said in a way that caused Alastor to get goosebumps. "'Cause I'm not walkin' to my destination."
With that she walked out the door and unfurled her wings. Alastor was amazed on how big her wings actually were. He wanted to touch them.
"Y'know, it's quite rude to stare."
Alastor blushed, not knowing that Y/N saw him staring.
"My apologies, Y/N," he said, his eye twitching in embarrassment. "I'll meet you at our destination,"
"How do you know where I'm goin?"
"I have my ways."
Y/N grinned. She liked this side of Alastor, and she liked it a lot. She wanted to see this side of Alastor more often.
"Good luck keepin' up,"
As soon as she finished her sentence, she shot up into the air, flying gracefully. Alastor had never seen anything like this before, she was so beautiful and graceful, just like she was when she was alive. But something about seeing shoot up in the sky like that made something stir in his heart that he hadn't felt in a long time. He smiled genuinely, then melted into the shadows, following Y/N as best as he could.
As Y/N flew over Pentagram city, she tried to smell out and hear that bitch as best as she could. She had never done this before but decided that she wasn't going back to the hotel until that woman's head was off her body.
Flying past The Vee's Tower, she finally found her target. She didn't know how, but she just knew that it was her. The woman was walking out of the tower, a coffee in her hand and texting on her phone.
Swooping down, Y/N grabbed the woman and flung her into the wall of a nearby alleyway. As soon as Y/N landed on the ground, Alastor materialized out of the shadows, his grin wider than ever.
The woman's eyes were closed "WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOU A-?" she screamed, but as soon as she saw Y/N and Alastor in front of her she stopped talking.
"Is this the business you had to take care of?" Alastor asked, leaning on his cane.
"Unfortunately, yes," she said, not taking her eyes off the woman.
"I'm assuming this is has to deal with the services you offer?"
"No, she just really fuckin' annoyed me," Y/N said. Her eyes glowing red, she walked over the woman. "No wonder you're so stupid. You work for the Vee's don't you?"
"If you kill me," the woman said meekly. "They'll come after you."
Y/N laughed. "They won't do anything," she grabbed the woman up by her throat. Alastor was watching intently. "You think I'm scared of the Vees? Sweetie, it's the other around."
One of the woman's arms ripped off. The woman screamed in pain.
"This is what happens when you piss me off, do you understand?"
The woman nodded, tears streaming down her face.
"I don't think you do," Y/N said
She summoned an angelic knife and pushed it straight through the womans throat. The woman gurgled but died quickly.
Alastor stared at Y/N with wide eyes. He had never seen anything more attractive.
"Did you enjoy watchin'" Y/N asked cockily.
"Immensely, my dear," Alastor breathed out. "I wish I would of saw you like that when we were alive.
Y/N giggled "So do I. Now we should head back to the Hotel," she said, dusting off her pants. "I'd hate to attract an audience."
Tumblr media
Back at the Hotel, everyone was sitting on the couch, Vaggie pacing in front of them.
"Okay, so Charlie is dealing with something very important, so while she's gone, we are making a new commercial." Vaggie said. "One that represents her vision and what we're doing here. Alastor, we need a camera."
Alastor snapped his fingers and a camera from back when Y/N was alive popped up in Vaggie's hand.
"A video camera," Vaggie said.
Alastor hummed in dissaproval, but snapped again. The old camera disappeared and a modern video camera popped up in Vaggie's hand.
"All right! Let's do this!" Vaggie said, pumping her fist into the air.
Tumblr media
"And....action!"
Y/N watched as Vaggie recorded a scene of Husk and Angel at the bar.
"Welcome to the Hazbin Hotel," Husk said, the script in front of his face. "Can I help you with anything?"
"I've been a bad boy," Angel said suggestively, climbing onto the bar. "And I need a big strong daddy to put me in my place...on the path to redemption!"
Seeing Husk's face made Y/N feel bad for the cat but also giggle.
Husk rolled his eyes and groaned. "Well, you come-"
"Oh yes!" Angel interrupted.
"-to the right place."
"Cut!" Vaggie cried out. "Okay Angel, I need you to be less horny, if possible. And Husk, could you maybe not have the script in front of your face?"
"I ain't no actor! I can't memorize this shit!" Husk said, throwing the paper on the bar.
"We could improve this shit, babycakes," Angel purred. "Rawrr~"
Husk pushed Angel off the bar. "Whoops,"
Vaggie sighed. "Husk, come on!"
Y/N went back upstairs, killing that woman made her tired and she wanted to take a tiny nap.
"Not going to watch them down there?"
Y/N jumped and saw Alastor standing in front of her.
"Jesus Christ, Alastor, what is it with and scarin' me all the damn time?"
Alastor chuckled. "I can't help it, my dear. "You're too easy to scare."
Y/N scoffed and continued to walk to her room. Alastor followed her.
"I'm way too tired to argue with you right now,"
"Maybe you should get some rest then, dear,"
"I was on my way too when you scared me,"
"Am I annoying you?" Alastor asked, still following her.
"A little bit, yes," Y/N mumbled, as they reached her room. "I know Vaggie wants me to film a part, so could you maybe wake me up?"
"If you need me too, then of course,"
"Thank you Al," she smiled genuinely. "And thanks for comin' with me earlier. Usually, I like doin' stuff like that by myself, but you added somethin' nice to it."
"If anything, I should be thanking you," he said. "You put on quite the show for me today. I applaud you. I'll leave you to rest now."
Alastor melted into the shadows, leaving Y/N flustered and grinning cheesily. He was just like how he was on Earth, despite the psychopath tendencies, she liked that part of him too. She went into her bedroom and flopped onto her bed, sighing happily, her dead heart beating rapidly in her chest.
Tumblr media
Y/N woke up from her nap to a knock on her door.
"Come in," she said, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
The door opened and Alastor stepped in the room. He smiled genuinely when he saw Y/N in her sleepy form.
"Vaggie wants you downstairs," Alastor said quietly, an amused smile coming to his face.
"I'll be down there in a minute," Y/N said groggily. "Thanks for wakin me up, Al,"
"You don't have to thank me," Alastor waved off before heading out the door. "I'm glad you slept well, my dear."
After he left, Y/N got out of bed and straightened out her outfit and her hair before heading downstairs. When she got down there, she saw that the whole downstairs area looked like a set from a movie. There were lights and cameras everywhere, and everyone besides Alastor was dressed in outfits from the time you and Alastor were alive.
Y/N was impressed.
"Alright everyone!" Vaggie said as soon as she saw Y/N. "Let's make a fucking commercial.
Tumblr media
After all of them were done filming for the commercial, they sat around or on the couch, waiting for Charlie to come back, and for the commercial to air.
Y/N heard Charlie come in through the front door. Vaggie heard it to, getting up to greet her.
"Charlie!" Vaggie said, hugging her. "How did it go? Did they listen?"
"Oh, uh...They sure did..hear it! But um-" Charlie said.
"Oh! Come here!" Vaggie exclaimed, pulling Charlie towards the couch. "We have something exciting to show you!"
"Alastor and Y/N pulled some strings and it's about to air," Vaggie said as her and Charlie.
"We pulled a few limbs too," Y/N giggled.
"Wait? The commercial?" Charlie said, confused. "You all made a new one?"
"Yeah, one of my better performances, if I do say so myself," Angel said, grinning.
"That's...amazing," Charlie said, her eyes sparkling.
"Shh! It's starting!" Angel shushed.
"Welcome to the Hazbin Hot-" Vaggie said on the TV before the signal got interrupted.
"Oh, what the fuck?" Y/N said in anger. Everyone reacted the same way she did.
A news broadcast came on.
"Breaking news in Hell today!" Katie Killjoy said on the TV. "We have just received word from the Heaven Embassy that the next extermination is happening sooner than ever before."
Hearing those words, Y/N's eyes widened in shock and fear.
"Do you know what that means Tom?"
"No, what does that mean, Katie?" Tom Trench asked.
"It means we're all royally fucked!" she answered, her neck snapping.
The camera cut to the Extermination Day timer, the numbers going down from 358 to 176.
"Wait...what? Why!?" Angel exclaimed.
Everyone in the room besides Nifty had looks of shock and confusion on their faces. Even Alastor didn't have his usual grin on his face.
"We are so fucked," Y/N muttered

▬▬ [ 𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗘𝗭 ] RIZZING THEM UP
Tumblr media Tumblr media
KIM HONGJOONG [ 김홍중 ] ; Found it HELLA suspicious when you came in the room with a smirk on your face. Found it even more suspicious when you leaned against the wall next to him with your arm resting beside his head. However, he gave you the benefit of the doubt because he was generally curious about what the hell you were doing. But the moment you wrapped an arm around his waist and those words left your mouth he was done for. “Math is so confusing. It's always talking about x and y and never you and I.” He would mostly cringe out of embarrassment or burst out, laughing depending on how funny it is. There's no between.
PARK SEONGHWA [ 박성화 ] ; FROM THE VERY BEGINNING HE WOULD BE WEARING HIS JUDGING FACE (WE ALL KNOW THE MEME) now what makes you think he won’t be suspicious of you acting the way you’re acting when he has six kids who do the same? to be honest, he is judging through this interaction, and the moment you say the words his judging face gets even more prominent, "Are you legos? Because I'd never lego of you." PLEASE BECUZ THE PAINED SMILE HE WOULD GIVE YOU IS ETCHED INTO MY BRAIN!!! FOR JUST 5 cents a day you can get Seonghwa the respect he deserves.
JEONG YUNHO [ 정윤호 ] ; The fact that you came into the room, all high and mighty with a confident smile on your face should’ve been the first clue to him that you were up to something. But when you scrolled up to him, looking at him, all seductive and stuff, he should’ve known something was up to. “Are you John Cena? Because I've never Cena guy like you before." THE WAY HE WOULD PAUSE TO THINK ABOUT IT?!?! THE FACT I CAN SEE HIM PRETENDING NOT TO UNDERSTAND YOU IS CRAZY!?! Just let the man be!!! 😭
KANG YEOSANG [ 강여상 ] ; WOULD LITERALLY WALK AWAY BEFORE YOU GET ANY WORD OUT. You'd have to drag him back to say what you needed to say. "Are you the school stairs? Because you take my breath away." You rizzing him up is like talking to a wall. He isn't trying to hear anything that comes out of your mouth. Lowkey finds it funny but his face doesn't show it. The type to gag in disgust because of it. ‘YEO BABY! JUST LET ME RIZZ YOU UP?!?! 🥺’ Walks away becuz he's completely done with you at this point.
CHOI SAN [ 최산 ] ; YOU CAN LET WOOYOUNG RIZZ YOU UP BUT I CAN’T?! Gets defensive because you just had to mention Wooyoung…. didn't you? Honestly, he should've seen this coming because you tend to want to rizz him up a lot (BUT COME ON IT'S CHOI SAN WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO RIZZ HIM UP?) Kind of just lets you say what you need to say. "I know you're not a ghost, but will you be my boo?" PLS BECUZ SAN IS GOING TO BE LAUGHING IN YOUR FACE. I CAN HONESTLY SEE HIM LAUGHING BECUZ OF HOW STUPID THE PICKUP LINE WAS. It's just another day of him getting rizzed up by a person who is already his partner. SMH 4 HIM!!
SONG MINGI [ 송민기 ] ; NOW MINGI would be completely obvious to what you are doing or going to do. And the fact that you would come over to him and wrap your arm around his waist like he was some type of innocent lady makes him blush like a schoolgirl. You with your arm wrapped around his waist and you whispering into his ear, "I don't think I need glasses anymore because I can clearly see that we're meant to be." I WHOLEHEARTEDLY THINK YOU RIZZING MINGI UP IS THE BEST THING THAT CAN HAPPEN TO HIM. I CAN ALSO SEE HIM GIGGLING AND GETTING ALL FLUSTERED. Princess Mingi deserves to be treated like PRINCESS!!!!
JUNG WOOYOUNG [ 정우영 ] ; “Are you French? Because oui should date." Honestly, Wooyoung would be the type to blush and giggle at you rizzing him up. The meme of the guy kicking his feet and being all smiley is honestly so Wooyoung. Curls an imaginary piece of hair. PLEASE BCUZ BABYGIRL IS BABYGIRLING TODAY. I can see him trying to rizz you up after you rizzed him up. Becomes a rizz competition between you two because honestly, I can see it. WOOYOUNG TAKING THAT RIZZ AND RUNNING WITH IT! 😭
CHOI JONGHO [ 최종호 ] ; The moment you come around the corner, Jongho is already going to assume you're about to do something dumb. And you proved him right as you looked him up and down with a smirk on your lips. “Do you play soccer? Because you're definitely a keeper?" THE SILENCE IS SO LOUD!! Jongho wouldn't even say anything. He would probably look at you like you're dumb. PROBABLY WONDERS WHY YOU ARE LIKE THIS! He would leave you to just stand there and contemplate your actions because WTF WAS THAT?!

Written for Fictober 2023!
Fandom: Marvel
Day 20 Prompt: "This better be good."
Summary: When Jack ropes Daniel into eavesdropping on the telephone ladies' breakroom, they both might hear a lot more than they'd bargained for.
Word Count: 2,387
Category: Fluff, Humor
Putting work into an AI program without permission is illegal. You do not have my permission. Do not do it.
Daniel's POV
I sighed as I shuffled the papers in my hands, mentally running through the million things I had to do today. Peggy, Jack, and I had managed to stop Leviathan from leveling New York City and destroying Howard Stark, but that didn't mean the last six months since then had been any more relaxed. If anything, it had gotten busier than ever before.
There had even been talk of opening another branch of the agency in LA, which was a whole other insane possibility fluttering around in my mind. It was enough to distract me to the point that I didn't notice Thompson, half-hidden by the entryway to the agency, until I ran into him.
"Thompson? What the hell are you-?"
"Sh!"
He raised his finger to his lips and glared at me. I glared back.
"Why are you-"
"Sousa! Shut up and listen," he hissed, jerking his head towards a grate in the wall. I frowned and made a demanding "what?" gesture, but he just nodded towards the grate again. I sighed, so long-suffering it wasn't even funny, but shuffled closer.
"This better be good," I grumbled. Jack just waved his hand at me.
Through the grate, I could hear voices talking and giggling loudly. It sounded like all the ladies who sat outside the entrance to the agency, guarding the door and keeping up the front that this was a phone company, talking together like they were in the break room. I paused, curious enough to entertain Thompson's nonsense for another ten seconds.
"-saying is, there's a definite ranking of all the guys in this office. And yours ain't it."
The girls dissolved into another fit of giggles, and I scowled. I grabbed Thompson's arm and yanked him away from the grate, out of earshot.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" I demanded, keeping my voice low just in case. "You're eavesdropping on coworkers in their breakroom? Instead of working? You're the Chief!"
"I don't know if you caught it, Sousa, but they're talking about us. Specifically which one of us they'd most want to date. I'd call that research and intelligence work for future opportunities."
Jack gave me a smirk as he drifted back towards the vent. I scowled and followed to drag him away and make him do his damned job, but froze when I heard the ladies welcoming our newest addition to the agency, the second female agent in SSR history. She'd been here a little over five months, had become instant best friends with Peggy Carter, and had me head over heels within a week of knowing her.
And apparently she'd just walked into the breakroom.
Jack gave me a knowing smirk and raised an eyebrow, and I glared right back. But I couldn't quite manage to drag myself away either, no matter how much my brain told me I should.
****************
Y/N's POV
"You came at the perfect time!"
I pulled a snack out of the fridge and looked suspiciously at Mary, one of the switch operators who worked outside the SSR. In the short time I'd been here, I'd gotten to know her and Rose pretty well, since they mostly alternated shifts for our main door guard. Rose and I had quickly bonded over our mutual feminism and desire for independence; Mary and I had bonded through being troublemakers, and I had a feeling I was about to see some more of that.
"Why?" I asked, drifting halfway to the door now that I had secured my snack. Mary smiled.
"We were just talking about the boys in the office. We have a few different opinions about who would make the best boyfriends and husbands, and since you know them all so well... I mean, I can't think of anyone else with a better reason to chime in."
I scoffed. "Nice try Mary, but no way am I engaging in this conversation. See you all later!"
The rest of the women in the room booed playfully, but I didn't turn around as I reached the door. Mary, however, knew me well enough to figure out how to stop me in my tracks.
"Well, I guess that means Jack Thompson is the definitive winner!"
I narrowed my eyes and stared at the door in front of me, hand on the half-turned doorknob. I'd come so close to avoiding this nonsense, and it still wasn't too late for me to take the exit. I scowled and scrunched my nose, then turned around to squint at all my coworkers looking back at me.
"Be completely honest, I'll be able to tell if you're lying," I started, still only half-turned away from the door. "How many of you would put Jack Thompson at the top of your 'SSR's Most Eligible Bachelor' list?"
A few hands shot into the air, followed by a few more tentative hands that must've heard the disgust in my tone. All in all, about half the room had their hands up for him. I sighed, long and heavy.
"And the other runners up were...?"
A few people called out names of other men in the office, most of whom were barely better (or definitely worse) than Jack. I looked up at the ceiling and shook my head.
"You all have terrible taste in men."
Half the room, Mary included, started laughing, and the other half looked offended. I shook my head and turned to leave again, but Mary stopped me again before I could go.
"Who would you choose then, if not Thompson? You can't criticize our taste without giving us some insight into your process."
Her grin stretched across her entire face as she stared at me, waiting for me to take the bait. Her hand had been the first in the air for Thompson, but I could tell she genuinely wanted to debate me more than she wanted to defend him.
I sighed.
"Fine. But I'm going to make this quick and then I'm gonna go do my job, because I have a ton of stuff to do today," I said, finally stepping away from the door to stand in the middle of the room. Everyone stared at me, leaning forward in their seats a little, Mary most of all. "...I can't believe I'm about to engage in this."
Mary scoffed and I rolled my eyes, but then took a deep breath and dove in. What the hell, right?
"Okay, first of all, let me clarify: I can understand, from a surface level, why you might pick Thompson. He's handsome, and if you didn't spend much time with him, I can see why you'd think he might make a good partner. Honestly, in the five months I've known him, I've even seen a few glimmers of hope that there might be a heart of gold underneath all that arrogance, posturing, and chauvinism. However. In terms of best guy in the office to have as a partner? He does not even come close to touching Daniel Sousa."
A few people raised their eyebrows, half leaning forward and half leaning back and crossing their arms. I ignored them all (especially Mary, who beamed at me), and continued.
"Listen. Sousa is... kind of ridiculously attractive. He's handsome, with the warmest brown eyes you've ever seen in your entire life... and he's super strong. I've seen him one-handed lift a bunch of different things the other agents struggled with using their whole bodies. He looks incredible in a sweater vest, to say nothing of suits and non-sweater vest clothes."
I saw considering nods around the room as people took in my words. I paused and took a deep breath, then continued.
"More than all of that, though... Daniel is kind. He's strong in his morals and his character, not just physically. He's got a great sense of humor, and his jokes don't rest on being a mean, close-minded jackass. And, above anything else, he respects me. He respects Peggy. He treats us as equals. I don't know about you guys, but... that means everything to me. And finding a man who's kind, smart, strong, handsome, and will treat me as an equal partner? Come on. Daniel's got it all."
I hadn't been paying a lot of attention to the expressions of everyone else around the room while I was talking, but now I focused back in to see the majority looking thoughtful. I cleared my throat, suddenly feeling incredibly self-conscious, and started backing towards the door.
"Uh, anyway... long way of saying I'd put Daniel at the top of my list."
Mary grinned at me as I continued heading for the door, then pushed out of her chair and called out to the whole room.
"Hear that? Sousa's off limits, these two are going to be dating in the next month if we have anything to say about it."
"MARY!"
****************
Daniel's POV
Jack and I stood in the hallway, stunned into silence as we stared into space. My brain had been telling me to stop listening a while ago, but I'd been shocked enough that my body had refused to listen. Now, my heart was telling me I was on the verge of a cardiac arrest.
"You go get him, girl!" Mary's voice continued through the vents. Then, with determination and glee dripping from her words, "I'm staying after Thompson. I'm gonna fix him."
I heard some light-hearted laughter, and then a door shutting. In a few seconds, the girl who'd just poured her heart out to me without realizing it would be coming into the office, a few feet from Jack and I's stupid hiding place.
"You look like you're about to puke," said Jack, a beaming grin on his face. I scowled.
"Why don't you? You just got called a couple pretty bad things."
"What? Like 'attractive'? All I was hearing were positives." He grinned at me, then sobered slightly before slapping me on the shoulder and taking a few steps away. "Don't psych yourself out on this one though, Sousa. She's a catch, and she's clearly in love with you. If you don't take a shot, I might have to."
I scoffed and shook my head. I knew Jack didn't really mean that; it was his own, terrible way of trying to be supportive.
I sighed and tried to brace myself as I walked over to the entrance to the SSR. Thompson was wrong about many, many, many things, but he was right about this: I needed to take my shot.
****************
Y/N's POV
"Holy- Daniel!" I nearly dropped the snack I'd taken a detour to retrieve as I cleared the SSR doors and came face to face with Daniel, especially since I'd just poured my heart out about him to a bunch of our coworkers. "You scared the hell out of me!"
"Uh... sorry," he said, shifting his weight around a little and running a hand through his hair. He looked almost as comfortable as I felt.
"Is, uh, is everything okay?"
"Yeah. Well, sort of. I just..." He cleared his throat, then jerked his eyes away from the floor and the wall to meet mine. "I need to tell you something, and then I need to ask you something."
"...Okay?"
"First, I... I heard what you said in the breakroom. About me. And about Jack, which was fun too, but... It feels important that you know I heard the stuff you said about me."
My heart stopped in my chest, and I blinked a few times as black spots danced at the very edges of my vision. I was going to kill Mary.
"Uh..."
"Before you say anything, I'm sorry," he said, holding up a hand. "I didn't mean to eavesdrop, I just... I let Thompson suck me into something I should've known better about. I'm sorry."
"It's fine, Daniel," I said, a little breathless as my legs finally started working to move me past him. I could not deal with this a second longer. "Don't worry about it, I'll... I have to go-"
"Wait!" he cried. He put one hand on my arm to stop me, then quickly dropped it when I turned back to look at him. I watched him take a deep breath, my heart hammering a thousand times even though it only took a few seconds, then he continued. "Look, I know I might've lost a few points in your book for the eavesdropping, which is fair, but... I'd be lying if I said I wasn't head over heels for you too. Have been since the first few days you got to the agency. You're smart and strong and funny and... God, listen to me."
He looked down and shook his head, and I noticed a slight blush rising up his neck and cheeks. Slowly, my heart dropped back to a normal rhythm, and I started to smile.
"Okay, what I'm trying to say is... I feel the same way about you that you do about me," he said, finally looking up at me again. "And if you'd still be interested... I'd love to take you out to dinner sometime."
I beamed at him, unable to stop the smile completely overtaking my face. I looked down, and when I looked up again, Daniel's stare was still on me, a smile hopefully flickering in and out of place.
"Daniel, I'd love that," I finally said.
"You would?"
"Yeah. I really, really like you, eavesdropping and all."
He huffed a laugh, the shaky smile turning into full-on beaming.
"Great! How's tomorrow night sound?"
"Sounds perfect."
"Good. I'll pick you up at eight." He started to back away, so both of us could get to the mountain of work we had to tackle at some point today, then stopped. "If that works for you, that is?"
I smiled. "That absolutely works for me."
"Alright, great! I'll see you then. And, uh, around the office, I guess."
"I'll see you around the office."
We shared another set of dorky, ridiculous smiles as we backed away from each other, going to do our separate tasks for at least part of the day. Thank God Thompson wasn't around to see either of us.
At some point, he and the rest of our coworkers would probably catch on to the two of us dating, unless the first date somehow went so horribly there wasn't a second. But I'd meant every word I'd said to the rest of our coworkers about Daniel. And if a little eavesdropping had led to him asking me out, I couldn't bring myself to be too upset about any of it.

We know the werewolves were one guys specific indentured servants. Are there any other monsters that were just one specific guy’s? Actually. Is that wizard still around and how does he (it?) feel about it? Did Revelation’s specific underlings also get hit especially hard or just it?
Anyway your Kosa setting is cool as hell and I love everyone and also Revelation. And its wife guy (guy who is a wife guy to it).
hiii i'm going to answer all your asks in this one post to make things easier, thank you so much for giving me a lot of stuff to think about
Anyway, werewolves! It's accepted that pretty much every wizard had a lot of servants, this guy (Onozar The Transcendent, the green wyrm with red markings) just happened to have a lot in the general region i do most of my worldbuilding in (the two of Kosa is here, the Ama plains, other areas etc). That means werewolves are pretty common here, and have spread elsewhere from here, but other areas and regions have their own different population densities of werewolves and other 'beastified servant' type monsters.
Onozar isn't open about it, his faces are now very different to how he looked back in the day (aka the face on the werewolf masks) and he has very purposefully put his past behind him. Yes he did terrible stuff and was essentially a magical dictator once upon a time. But that was so long ago and he was punished for it so as far as he's concerned he's done with it and the werewolves are unrelated to him (and if somebody else brings it up omg you're all so obsessed with the past, don't you know people grow and change?? it was NORMAL to have slaves back then okay it was just part of the culture and it's honestly really suspicious and hurtful that you would bring this up to attack him at a time like this, and-)
Revelation was not a big shot among wizards. It had servants yes but not so many that they became their own species of monster (many of the monsterifications were chosen as a form of dramatic irony based on the individual person's personality). I still have to design a bunch of other monster types but I'll say yes they were probably hit harder than they should have been, everybody in and around Revelation's tower were made An Example.
It's a little easier to scapegoat the guy who has no real influence and no real friends in this social circle ain't it
Tumblr media
He's only good at killing crawling beasts lol, that's partially why king harpies evolved after all - to fight and kill the crawlers, which are very strong but not very fast. His type eat mainly rabbits and hares, and he tends to be not quite fast enough to consistently catch them himself, the much swifter and smaller cobs and pens take care of that (he still runs far faster than a human tho, he's had some luck catching antelopes if he gets close enough before the chase). He is part of a flock, he just kinda... drifted away from living with the others, splitting his attention between Revelation and his other duties. Like many kings he's fighty and opinionated, with the added assurance of a creature that knows it's too big and strong to fall prey to... pretty much everything else. He enjoys art and beautiful things and has happily worked in alliance with the local wolfmen packs in the past in return for some of their dye products.
So his flock is a multi-type coalition between a collection of eyries (or whatever word I'll use for the small harpy settlements that form under the banner of a single flock). He's not the all-king of the flock, but he is the king of the terror bird types. The other types within the flock are all ground-nesting but not necessarily flightless harpies. His eyrie has about thirty individuals living there and he had three tiercels (not including Revelation). Revelation didn't kill all his flockmates but it did quietly disappear his other tiercels at some point. I need to do a little more work on them but yea
Tumblr media
These different characters actually represent different time periods in the setting (the guy, Ambrose, is from the 1600s, while Mikalai and Cuinn come from the 1800s!). I think the whole thing with Revelation is much earlier, going for a more medieval look with those guys. It means that Revelation's march is technically just a part of history for Cuinn and the rest of them :) The world didn't end. But it DID change (.... not many wyrms around these days, anymore, i wonder what happened to them...)

✮ Uzi x N x V x Stoic! Apathetic! Reader ✮
My 24 request! Hope you like!
◑ ━━━━━ ▣ ━━━━━ ◐
Uzi, a female worker drone, who had somehow gotten into a poly relationship with two murder drones, presumably because of N giving her puppy dog eyes.
You… you were a strange creature in the eyes of Uzi, N and V, being so apathetic and stoic all the time, not that they didn't find you interesting, on the contrary, they found you strangely attractive for some reason.
You were minding your own business, sitting in a car near your campsite, just customizing a knife with cool stickers you've found. When you heard footsteps and some voices, seeming to belong to three different individuals, you didn't move anyway- now looking in the direction of the three drones.
The male murder drone must have noticed you, as he was silent stopping the worker drone and the other murder drone with his arms in front of them.
" Why the hell did we stop N? There's nothing here! " The female worker drone spoke in an irritated tone looking at "N".
" Ugh.. what a bummer.. " The female murder drone muttered shortly thereafter, rolling her eyes as she crossed her arms.
" We have company.. " N said in a low tone looking towards you, soon being followed by the two female drones.
" Hello " You said without emotion, looking back at your knife without moving a muscle. The worker drone gave you a suspicious look, approaching slowly.
" Who are you exactly? " Uzi asked looking at you intensely.
" Why should I tell you that? " You asked still with a serious expression, in an almost mocking tone, but that wasn't the case, just being a real question. She snorted in response, while the female murder drone giggled.
" I like them " V said with a smile seeing Uzi's irritated expression.
" Why do I have two murder drones with me that can kill you? " Uzi asked giving you a winning smirk. You looked at her in silence.
" Is that it? If it is, you'll never know who I am anyway " You said simply, tucking your knife into your bag. Uzi was silent with that answer.
" Ooowwwnn… that hurt so baaad! You completely broke Uzi! Hahaha- " V spoke in a mischievous tone, then giving a big laugh like a hyena leaning on N who was confused with what to do.
" I- Damn it! J-just tell me! " Uzi said quickly stuttering as her cheeks flushed. You let out a small sigh in contemplation.
" My name is (Y/n)..nice to meet you, Uzi…N.. and who would you be? " You ask looking at the female murder drone who seemed to have recovered from laughing.
" Names V for you " V said giving you an amused smile. You nodded.
" Nice to meet you.. " You said simply, soon getting out of the car and starting to walk to your campsite.
" H-hey! Wait! I'm not done yet! " Uzi yelled starting to run after you.
" U-uzi! W-wait! You shouldn't run! You might slip and fall! " N shouted worriedly following Uzi.
" Best day ever " V said with an amused smile following behind the three of you.
So, after that you guys somehow managed to form a friendship, which followed with the three drones asking you to enter in their relationship, which you surprisingly accepted.
Most of the time, the contact affection would have to come from them, but that didn't mean you didn't care and like them, always bringing them things you found and thought they would like, even customizing some to be more on their personal taste.
" Why are you guys with me? " You ask snuggling deeper into the middle of N and V. Uzi looks away from her book to stare at you.
" I really don't know.. Why are we with them N? " Uzi asks giving N a serious look, which he reflects for a moment.
" Why… they are nice, cute…and funny? " N said slowly with a nervous smile not wanting to piss off the worker drone. Uzi snorts slightly.
" It could even be- I just don't know the funny part " Uzi says rolling her eyes playfully. V lets out a small giggle at that.
" You say that because (Y/n)'s humor roasts your ass- " V said being cut off by Uzi letting out an irritated growl.
" Shut up V! (Y/n) didn't 'roast' my ass! " Uzi grumbled, making V laugh and N let out a small chuckle muffled by his hand, you just looked on in silence.
" W-well they kind of did Uzi- " N tried to speak but was interrupted by a book being thrown in his face which made V laugh louder.
You really loved them.

Based of a dream I had last night:
When I opened the door, the surprise to see not one but four weird looking people immediately settled in.
One of them was super tall with brown hair and orange tips, another looked like Ed Sheeran, the smallest of them you almost mistaked for a girl, the woman next to that midget somehow had purple hair.
"can I help you?" I said.
"yes you can, I'm zhongli and these are my... Coworkers, Tartaglia, ei, and venti" the tallest guy said, why did he pause?
"what does that have to do with me?"
"do you remember buying a lottery ticket" zhongli asked me, quickly nodding the memory of me buying it came into my mind.
"well congrants you won!" The short man with an excited voice suddenly yelled, you assumed he was venti.
"I did?"
"yes, we just came to get you to sign some papers and then we can take you on your trip" going to Mexico that'll be fun.
"wait!? Right now" my voice laced with confusion.
"yes, do you mind if we come in" with that I opened the door wider and let them in, quickly boiling some hot water that I can hopefully make good tea with.
The signing of the papers was easy, there was nothing bad or even remotely suspicious.
Excusing myself to go back myself, I leave the four of them to do whatever.
Packing clothes is easy enough, necessities also easy too, but books books where hard to choose.
They were all so good, I love all of them and couldn't bare to part from them.
Eventually I decided to grab book 15 of so I'm a spider so what and volume 21 of demon Slayer, now I just need to grab volume two of bungou stray dogs.
Looking for it I find it's not where I put it, maybe I put it in my hiding compartment?
Looking in their I also see nothing but I do hear something.
It kind of rude to do this but I do wonder what they're saying.
Placing my ear on the wall I listen in on the conversation.
"shouldn't we just take her now"
"we should at least let her take stuff she likes"
"so what we can easily replace everything in this goddamn house"
"I seriously doubt that face that we have to kidnap here, can't we just use persuasion?"
"it's not kidnapping if we take her to the place she belongs"
Ripping my ear away from the way I contemplate what I just heard, they're going to kidnap me?
I need to do something..
Yes I'll hide my wallet, I.d., and phone in my pockets and before we leave I'll excuse myself to go to the bathroom and run.
Putting on a fake smile I finish packing my things and put my luggage right next to my front door.
Right before we leave I commit to my plan and excuse myself to go to the bathroom.
Quickly locking the bathroom door, I shove my window open only to see venti, quite litterly floating in the air right next to my window.
Screaming I fall back only to end in the gingers arms, what the hell! I locked the door.
The ginger has an unbreakable hold on me, no matter how much I pulled or thrashed his hold did not lessan for a single second.
Getting shoved in the car I'm quickly restrained by the purple women who was already in the car, the ginger gets in despite my kicking and holds my legs down.
Zhongli and venti got into the car and we were off.
Not once did I stop struggling, these inhuman beings have the strength of gods, their grips unbreakable.
We stop in a deep forest where I get dragged into, walking for what felt like forever we finally came to the destination.
Is that a portal?
Where the hell are they taking me!
Like an adrenaline rush I somehow escape them, I make it three seconds before getting tackled to the ground.
All of my energy leaving me I can only stare in shame as I'm taken away from my world, my home.
The last thing I remember was getting dragged through the portal and the entire world going black.
The end hope you enjoyed because I sure enjoyed this dream

so I love the idea of Angel and Alastor knowing each other when they were alive but instead of a meet cute I do think they'd have a meet ugly because like imagine. They run into each other right. Alastor's in New York for a job interview with a bigger station and Angel's just been kicked out of the house. He's high as a kite and he see's Alastor and alright he's kinda hot and Angel needs money so he's just like I'm gonna offer him the goods but Alastor is like No. Angel would be like I'm sorry what the fuck ya think ya too good for me or somethin' and I imagine Alastor is truly just fascinated by him. Because people in his home town don't talk to him like this. Nobody has ever propositioned him like this. So naturally he's just like... ??? but hey he's got nothing better to do his meeting went great so he decides to invite Angel for lunch and Angel's just like. HuH?
Angel: The fuck ya talkin about Smiley?
Alastor: It's... Alastor if you please. I'm inviting you to lunch.
He takes him to the Russian Tea Room which Angel is like this is kinda fancy what gives you don't have to buy me dinner ta fuck me and Alastor's like that's not why I'm taking you here. He's like I'm hungry I want lunch you can join me or not. And well Angel's not in a position to turn down a free meal though he kind of sticks out. Short black dress, messed up makeup, and his large fur coat and bloodshot eyes. Alastor however just treats him like a person and that's suspicious and confusing for Angel.
They end up talking and after their meal and before they part ways Alastor offers him money which Angel is a little offended by because he ain't no charity case, but Alastor is just like... well unless you want to work for me...
Angel's like work for ya how?
Alastor explains he's gotten a job as a radio host in Manhattan and that he'll need an assistant. He doesn't really but he's far too fascinated by Angel to let him get away that easily.
needless to say it would be a slow burn. Angel is constantly not sure whether to trust Alastor and probably does end up catching him killing someone but he thinks that Alastor is like hitting on this guy because he manages to almost seem sensual the way he convinces people to their own doom.
Angel gets jealous and he doesn't see the grizzly aftermath.
he lives on Alastors sofa for a while and eventually he has enough money to get an apartment but he's reticent to leave even though he doesn't know why and Alastor isn't pushing him to leave either. He likes the company and Angel makes his days less boring. It isn't until he talks to his friend Mimzy that he realizes he might have feelings for Angel or more accurately Mimzy points it out.
Alastor's like oh fuck well that's not good. Should I kill him?
Mimzy's just like no ask him out you lunatic and so he does and Angel is shocked. He never saw this coming but also like okay so maybe he's curious. They go out and it's good but it's been 3 years and it's 1933 and winter and so we know what happens. They're barely together and Alastor dies. This sends Angel into a tailspin because wtf my life was just getting back together and now he's dead and Idk what to do.
It isn't long after that Angel's own problems come back to haunt him and he ends up in Hell and maybe he meets Alastor right away and he's kind of surprised that Al is so huge down here and terrifying but more than anything he's grateful for the second chance.
