The number of AI images in this fandom pissed me off so much that I suddenly remembered I can draw on occasion,

It's most likely going to suck but it's mine, so I can fuck it up however I like in a way that AI could NEVER.

Time to look for that one sketch I did back in 2023 to see if it's salvageable, wish me luck (it's probably not)

Companionship in Street Fighter

The most interesting concept in Street Fighter 6 that I really liked was companionship. Every character is connected in one way or another, and most are symbolic of Ken and Ryu's relationship over the years.

Ken and Ryu were always the faces of Street Fighter since the beginning and their friendship/rivalry was something capcom really took into consideration when pushing SF6 out. Ken, Chun-li, and Ryu are getting older but they have a lasting impact on Capcom as a whole.

SF6 now has a roster of fighters that are connected to each other from old to new relationships.

Kimberly and Dee Jay, Marisa and Zangief, Blanka and Lily, Chun-li and Li-fen etc.

Even the Player has a rival/friendship with someone in the Street Fighter Universe.

Although Bosch seems like a character that gets sidelined within the first hour of the game, I do think that Bosch and the Player do have a significant connection.

When talking to our Masters, I find it interesting how often Bosch comes up in conversation.

Granted Player is the one bringing him up, but I found this interaction with Dhalsim fascinating.

Dhalsim: Create a fist within your heart.

Dhalsim: Good. Allow me to pose a question to you. What lies beyond that fist?

Dhalsim: I see. This is your friend...or perhaps a mortal foe?

Dhalsim: Forget what you saw.

Dhalsim: You wish to transcend the shadow, yet it remains inextricably linked to you.

Dhalsim: it is up to you to interpret its significance.

The Player brings up Bosch a lot in conversations that aren't about him, and it's got me thinking, does Bosch even care about the Player to that extent too?

We never see his perspective throughout the story so we could only assume as much.

He trusted the Player enough to give them a SIM card before he was taken. Maybe to tell them, "If anything happened to me, this is how you can find Kalima and the Resistance."

And he tried many times to scare the Player off so they wouldn't enter the Suval'hal tournament. Where he would've activated the championship belt to kill himself and JP.

But when the Player found out Cardboard combatant was him all along, he said "If you've come this far, I want you to watch me finish this fight." The fight between the Resistance and JP.

Bosch even asked the Player if you can give Yua his bangle and tell her that he's dead, he says "You're the only one I can count on."

Bosch also chose to go to the Player when his body was reaching its limit as a warning if things go south. That he may not recognize them in the arena.

And at the end of the post-credit cutscene, Bosch is wearing the matching hat that he and you got when visiting Metro City.

In the end, Bosch's hair is shaved so I can assume it's to keep people from recognizing him and a low profile.

In fiction, it could symbolize character growth and a break from the past. But paired with his matching hat, which he mentioned was cringy, he is still linked to you, the Player. Just as Dhalsim said.

How to extract sims and family thumbnails from the game!

A tip for those who have difficulty taking photos of their Sims entire family or a portrait to create a character sheet.

You just need simPe (and a backup of your 'hood, just to be safe, but isn't nothing dangerous)

Family previews

For the family photo, go in Documents > The Sims 2 > Your 'hood folder > Thumbnails > Open the N00x_Family Thumbnails.package with simPe.

Once opened, a list of image will load, right-click on the image you want to extract and click "extract". You can also extract ALL the previews of all the families at once (selecting all files together and then right click and clicking "extract")

Sims Thumbnails

For sim previews, however, open simPe > load your neighborhood > search for the sim from which you want to extract the thumbnail > open their character data. A list will appear, at the bottom of this there will be two .jpg files. One is all black, the other is the picture of your sim. Right-click on the file, and click "extract"

PRO: You won't have to go crazy taking photos in game and posing all the sims, and if you forget to take a photo of a sim you don't have to reopen the game. Just simPe.

CONS: Unfortunately the images are in low quality and being jpg the background is black and not transparent. I saw someone manage to extract them in high quality though and I would like to try to understand how they did it.

What’s your favourite Sims death?

The old age death because it means a sim has lived like and are gently passing on! I also love that they give a little salute like “It was fun while it lasted but PEACE!” if I have a chance to give a salute and famous last words before I die I know I would!

Alpha CC or Maxis Match?

Maxis Match not because it looks better but because it blends in with the game.

Do you cheat your sims weight?

Never! 

Do you use move objects?

I imagine it is hard not to when you are a competitive sims player lol.

Favourite Mod?

Hmmm, this is hard. I will say Wicked Whims though. I know, I know, you all think i’m super horny over here but really sex is a big part of life it is, one can argue, one of the most important aspects of life itself as one must have sex to create life (kind of at least) so WW really expands on that. Just get rid of the sex animations it adds, ignore that completely, it still adds an indepth menstrual system, attraction system, fertility system, etc! 

WW actually determines how many kids my sims will have for example since some are naturally more fertile than others so yeah!

2nd place is MC Command which is great for just having more control. I mostly use that to make over townies when I see them lol.

Oooh, I actually don’t make many sims since I play legacy and just rely on genetics but I will say Araceli! I made her when I relaunched a legacy and I spent so much time on her! I loved her! I thought of bringing her back in some form so we might not have seen the last of her actually!

I’ve been a Sims 4 OG as the kids would like to say and my simblr has really flunctuated in all that time. I’ve had posts getting 100s of likes to now just around 10 lol, I’ve come full circle!

It’s kind of sad because @floofymilk-blog was a real good online friend I had known for years and she was someone you saw constantly liking my posts and commenting at first and she has completely disappeared from like...everything. So yeah T_T, from discord, from steam, from switch, and I always wonder what happened to her and seeing that post and seeing her in the notes there just makes me sad but...she was the biggest AC fan I’ve ever known T_T and a big Sims fan too!

She was Japanese and disappeared before the release of Snowy Escape and I wonder if she would have loved that pack :/

How do you edit your pictures?

I used to do A LOT more but honestly, I just gave up lol. Now I just use a reshade, add a border, and move on. Lazy, I guess? But I’m posting legacy content. What is called a Plotacy. If I hung up on editing every single picture it would slow me down a ton. You can see the story content I tried it was a lot more edited!

Some shower thoughts on Mikasa Ackerman behind the cut:

I saw that a lot of (Mikasa) fans are disappointed in the way the story concluded for Mikasa, that she had no real development and overall deserved better. I kinda agree on the last point, of course she deserved better, don’t we all? But life just sometimes isn’t fair and you loose your soulmate at the age of 19. What I really hate is that people are blaming her for being on her loved ones grave on the anniversary of his death. I don’t know if those people have ever lost somebody dear to them and everyone grieves differently and nobody is to judge that. But being on the grave of your loved one on their death anniversary, their birthday and other important days is the most natural thing in the world for me. We sadly don’t get an insight on what Mikasa is doing with her time now. I’m not sad that she went back to Paradis to live whatever life she’s leading there. Who knows? She probably has some sense in her life other than grieving Eren all day. Maybe she‘s helping Historia with the orphanage? There probably are a lot of new orphans after the rumblings and the connected riots. And who knows, I mean Armin, Jean and the others are coming back to Paradis now. What I see for a good sign is, that she grew her hair out. It was Eren who told her to cut it and so she did when she probably preferred it long. Don’t you think she looks painfully much like the woman in Jean’s vision? Who knows, that might be her future once her comrades come back to the island. I can very well see Jean (who gussied himself up on the boat, I mean come on, he’s not really doing it for those school girls, is he?!) meeting Mikasa after three years and again complimenting her on her hair like he did back when they were trainees. Will Mikasa ever truly get over Eren? Probably not but it’s just like that sometimes when you loose someone. Some people never get over their one true love but it didn’t work out with them and they still manage to start a new life with somebody else, love them and dedicate their hearts to them. Why not Mikasa? We will never know because Isayama choose not to show us Mikasa meeting her mates again three years later. You can make of this ending whatever you want. But you shouldn’t be so negative and accuse Mikasa (and in return Isayama) to have no development and be sad about her. I think Mikasa was one of Isayama’s favorite characters (I read so somewhere) so do you really think he would give her a sad ending? I don’t think so. Mikasa’s happy ending is there somewhere in the future. I’ll be in whatever way she imagines her life since she’s a strong and independent woman. But three years after loosing your most beloved person is not that much. She has the right to still grieve. But she’ll stand up and look into a bright future that Eren has created for her and I think that’s beautiful.

WCIF?

I've found a copy of this reeeeally detailed Sim Tracker in my google docs last night. It's like really detailed and calculates everything you can think about (and more) and even gives you such cool graphics at the end. Of course I had to do this for Planet Alades (I love shreasheets, bear with me) but now I can't remember where I got that doc from? It was already a copy of the original, so it doesn't show me the OP. The file is called Sim Tracker v1.8 - Blank. I wish I knew who was so detailed to do this spreadsheet and if there are some explanations for some functions (it's really a lot, guys!). Does anyone remember a thing liks this? I could add pics if someone wanted.

*gasp* a replies post! A long replies post! A long replies post where I overshare again! *o* Yeah I kinda missed doing these. I’m now at home, but won’t be for much longer. First, I’m going to meet some of my new classmates on Friday and I’ll spend the whole weekend with them! We’re going somewhere...well I don’t even know where that is, just that it’s in nature and I’ve never been there before! Thank gods we’re meeting at the main station in Prague, or else I wouldn’t get there myself. Then on Moday, I have to go to my uni, and then once more on Wednesday I think? And on Wednesday, I’ll have to wake up at 4 am. my LiFe Is SoOoOOOoO HaRd oH mY gOd. No, I’ll be fine.

And a month from now, I’ll be moving to my dorm. That’s some crazy stuff. I can’t believe it’s happening. Last week, my dad actually took me to Prague and we went to see where it is. The location reminds me a lot of my home, but I won’t tell you what exactly that is because no one needs to know that. Anyway, school starts in October. I’m actually looking forward to studying, but the “living alone in a big city with people I’ve never seen before” part is scary. D: I’ll give you updates.

Anyway, today was a weird day. First, I sat alone by the lake when these two guys came and talked to me (I didn’t mind that actually, they were kinda nice), then when I got up and said I had to go home, one of them complimented my legs...which would’ve been really nice but then he basically implied he’d go to bed with me...and like literally five minutes ago he said he had a girlfriend...basically men are scary. Then later, mum and I went grocery shopping and I saw my middle school crush with his girlfriend...and decided that his girlfriend is cute, way cuter than him actually...bisexual culture I guess, crushing on your middle school crush’s girlfriend lmao. Then we went to pay for our groceries and the cashier...was my childhood friend who also happened to be my first crush and also my last crush and these days I’m wondering if I’m really crushing on him or if I’m just holding onto him because I don’t know any better. Long story but if you ever feel like I have a thing for childhood friends to lovers trope, maybe blame him.

Oof same haha. One of the reasons why I was hesitant about starting BPR was the pink :D

*hugs* We're our own worst critics. I used to cringe at my old stuff too, but really it was decent. I might have learned more since then, but it was still good. I'm glad you can see the good in yours. :)

I’m definitely not as hard at my younger self anymore. I went and read some of my stories written when I was 13-14, and I tried to look at it that way. They weren’t perfect, but maybe they were good for a child of that age. I mean, I always got good grades on my writing homework, and my teachers have always liked how I worked with words, so...yeah, it’s not perfect, but I’m not going to have perfectly fleshed out characters and storylines when I have barely even understood that the world isn’t just black and white, good and evil. There are shades inbetween.

That got deep again but I have a lot of feelings about this and I’m sorry to my younger writer self for how I’ve treated her. Keep going, kid.

Yeah, this is so weird...I know people say it happens when the picture has a lot of “skintone” coloured pixels...but that’s not always the case with my flagged posts??

Also (I’ll never shut up about this)...why is there a female-presenting nipples rule when it clearly can’t ever tell female and male nipples apart? I’m just saying. And yes I get it, for AI it sure has to be difficult to tell such things apart but in my opinion that’s exactly why they should get rid of it and only incorporate it when it can tell it apart. Actually, hold on, nope. The nipple rule is stupid no matter what gender the nipple is.

And I’ve just used the word nipple more times than ever before in my nineteen-something years long life.

For me a story is up to its writer. I don't mind only one picture with a huge text, or the contrary a lot of picture with little to no text. As long as we got attached to the characters, it's not important, as long as it's progressing and understandable.

Thank you for your feedback! I think it would be no more than one Word page of text. Which is a lot still but I think that’s the maximum I’d go for. And I mean, I’d show all the important moments. It’s just, I guess I don’t need ten different pictures of the same conversation when these people are just standing next to each other. And it doesn’t need to be split into ten different posts either.

I’ll figure it out, don’t worry.

absolute social detriment

i wrote some mindless cute fic to make up for a bad day. monster prom is embarrassingly taking up a lot of my headspace at the moment.

Brian does a bit of art in his free time. Nothing spectacular—his art style needs some work, and he always fucks up the eyes—but you know, it’s something. Mostly just sketches to pass the time in class, when he actually bothers to go.

Currently, he’s doing his best to replicate this one image that’s been present in his mind for the last couple hours. He’s actually pretty good at this—translating ideas onto paper, that is. He’s got a good grasp on anatomy, though he does wish he could make it a little more stylistic. His poses feel too stiff sometimes.

Polly says, “Is that Damien?” and Brian closes his sketchbook immediately.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” says Brian, his tone deadpan. Polly is floating beside him, peering over his shoulder. “You can leave now. We’re in class.” This is a bullshit deflection, mainly because their teacher could not give less of a shit what they were doing. Polly glances at the now-closed sketchbook.

“He’s your boyfriend, you know. You don’t have to pretend not to like him or whatever,” she says. Brian blinks.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about. I don’t draw. Go away,” he says. Polly’s eyebrows arch, and then she smiles.

“I’ll have you know that once a club announced it was at capacity and I physically possessed a bouncer in order to get in, and spent the whole night body hopping,” she says, “Closing things off only makes me more determined, Brian,” and then she leaves, floating back to her seat.

Brian puts his sketchbook in his backpack and makes a mental note to avoid drawing in class.

Brian goes to gym and tells the coach that he’s dead (which is true) and sits out the dodgeball round for the day. He instead spends the time drawing his boyfriend playing dodgeball and gaining creativity stats.

Liam, who has also used his undead state as an excuse not to play dodgeball, leans over to see Brian’s sketchbook. “You’ve drawn him to be a lot more aesthetically pleasing than I would have,” says Liam, glancing between the sketchbook page and the real-life reference, who is baring his teeth and threatening to punch his own team members in the face. “I didn’t know that you draw.”

Brian closes his sketchbook, “I don’t and never have,” he blatantly lies, trying his best to cut away from the conversation. Liam doesn’t get the hint.

“Ah, I see,” says Liam, “This is an attempt to remain cool and collected in the eyes of a social superior. Well, there’s no need, Brian. Social hierarchies are far too cliche, anyway.”

Brian says, “I honestly don’t understand any word that has ever come out of your mouth,” because it’s the truth, and he’s a very honest person. Liam nods.

“A very convincing persona. I’ll give you points for dedication, at least,” he says, and it’s at this point that Brian kind of just tunes him out and watches the game. At one point he almost reopens his sketchbook, but in the corner of his eyes he sees Liam glancing at it and he stops himself.

It’s not even that he’s embarrassed of the art or anything—or, well, he is. It’s objectively embarrassing. Brian, who is known for not caring, spends his time doodling his boyfriend in candid poses? That’s absolute social detriment right there. He doesn’t even know how he would prepare for such a scenario wherein someone noticed. What if someone pointed out how careful the linework was? What if someone called him cute? What if Damien saw? There are just too many variables.

And yeah, technically Brian is dating Damien already, and it isn’t particularly weird for him to idealize his boyfriend or draw him, but come on. A man is entitled to his particular complex, all right? Not every irrational argument or insecurity needs to be scrutinized for how much sense it makes.

Brian leaves gym class having lost several points contributing to his boldness stat. That’s just how it is sometimes.

At lunch Brian enjoys the very reliable practice of not eating anything (in this cafeteria? You’d be better off eating out of the garbage, which is legitimately what some students have been doing. It’s absolutely hilarious and also very indicative of the school’s quality of life) and finally finishing his damn drawing without a dating sim character breathing down his neck.

“Is that Damien?” asks Miranda, and does she have to be so loud? Well practiced in this particular method of avoidance, Brian shuts his sketchbook immediately. “That’s so romantic!”

Oh God. “Miranda, I will pay you at least two money to leave—” he’s cut off before he can finish his offer and/or threat of bribery.

“You saw them, right? The drawings?” asks Polly, who actually might be the devil. It’s a distinct possibility. She hangs out with Damien an awful lot for someone who isn’t the devil. Of course, you could say the same for Brian or literally anyone else in their circle of friends, but still. “I think it’s adorable!”

This. This is the nightmare scenario. Holy shit.

Brian is in the middle of considering his plan of action, and he narrows it down to two distinct choices. Either he can toss his own sketchbook into the garbage at such an angle where it constitutes as a rather impressive slam dunk and thus has a distinct chance of impressing his peers, or he can get up and leave and continue his drawing in the bathroom.

He isn’t so keen on the possibility of losing his sketchbook, and his boldness stat isn’t particularly high. He ends up taking the second option, wordlessly walking out of the situation like the corpse he is. He really is living up to his undead heritage.

Brian is almost done with his drawing, which is actually pretty impressive, considering he’s illustrating this in a bathroom. It’s a horrid environment for art. It smells weird and he’s pretty sure Polly does drugs in here, but you take what you can get.

Damien says, “You fuckin’ draw?” and Brian is considering that, perhaps, he has angered some minor god. It happens all the time, and it would certainly check out if he had. “What are you doing in the bathroom, dude? There’s another recess rave so I figured we could set something or someone on fire over there, if you’re up for it.”

Brian is kind of wordless at the moment, because all of his nightmare scenarios are playing in his head at once, and truly he is trying not to rehearse his own detriment in his head.

He says, “Oh, uh, yeah. Arson and manslaughter sound great about now,” and he attempts to close his sketchbook. He sees Damien narrow his eyes.

“Can I see what you were drawing?”

Hm. No. “Well, you see,”  says Brian, “I would normally show you my sketchbook right now, but I’m about to throw it in the garbage, and—”

“No, really, I’m actually curious,” says Damien, with as much sincerity as he can possibly produce, “I like to see stuff you’re into, you know?” Oh, Brian is definitely into the things in his sketchbook, which is about 70% Damien. Brian hesitates.

“Sure,” he decides, handing the sketchbook over to Damien. He’s had a good, long, reanimated life. Brian has already dealt with a physical death, what’s a social one to boot?

He watches as Damien opens the sketchbook and pages through it, realization passing over him as relatively innocuous drawings of trees and tables and shit gradually become portraits of his own face. It’s a true facial journey, which eventually settles on an expression that could be Damien blushing if he wasn’t already a solid red demon who’s blush was indistinguishable from his actual hue.

Damien is about to push the brink of his charm stat and create some bullshit excuse, “You see—”

“So, like,” Damien pauses, “Do you ever do, fuck, I dunno, self portraits, or, uh. You know, drawings of us together or something?” and it’s a very genuinely sweet moment that Brian is having in this dumpster fire of a school bathroom.

“Uh, yeah, if you flip it to the next page,” Brian says, and they have a very nice, very cute conversation that they will describe as “kickass” and “definitely not cute” to close associates. Damien asks Brian to draw him taller, which is a valid comment, but Damien already gets to be tall in real life so no.

Some shower thoughts on Mikasa Ackerman behind the cut:

I saw that a lot of (Mikasa) fans are disappointed in the way the story concluded for Mikasa, that she had no real development and overall deserved better. I kinda agree on the last point, of course she deserved better, don’t we all? But life just sometimes isn’t fair and you loose your soulmate at the age of 19. What I really hate is that people are blaming her for being on her loved ones grave on the anniversary of his death. I don’t know if those people have ever lost somebody dear to them and everyone grieves differently and nobody is to judge that. But being on the grave of your loved one on their death anniversary, their birthday and other important days is the most natural thing in the world for me. We sadly don’t get an insight on what Mikasa is doing with her time now. I’m not sad that she went back to Paradis to live whatever life she’s leading there. Who knows? She probably has some sense in her life other than grieving Eren all day. Maybe she‘s helping Historia with the orphanage? There probably are a lot of new orphans after the rumblings and the connected riots. And who knows, I mean Armin, Jean and the others are coming back to Paradis now. What I see for a good sign is, that she grew her hair out. It was Eren who told her to cut it and so she did when she probably preferred it long. Don’t you think she looks painfully much like the woman in Jean’s vision? Who knows, that might be her future once her comrades come back to the island. I can very well see Jean (who gussied himself up on the boat, I mean come on, he’s not really doing it for those school girls, is he?!) meeting Mikasa after three years and again complimenting her on her hair like he did back when they were trainees. Will Mikasa ever truly get over Eren? Probably not but it’s just like that sometimes when you loose someone. Some people never get over their one true love but it didn’t work out with them and they still manage to start a new life with somebody else, love them and dedicate their hearts to them. Why not Mikasa? We will never know because Isayama choose not to show us Mikasa meeting her mates again three years later. You can make of this ending whatever you want. But you shouldn’t be so negative and accuse Mikasa (and in return Isayama) to have no development and be sad about her. I think Mikasa was one of Isayama’s favorite characters (I read so somewhere) so do you really think he would give her a sad ending? I don’t think so. Mikasa’s happy ending is there somewhere in the future. I’ll be in whatever way she imagines her life since she’s a strong and independent woman. But three years after loosing your most beloved person is not that much. She has the right to still grieve. But she’ll stand up and look into a bright future that Eren has created for her and I think that’s beautiful.

WCIF?

I've found a copy of this reeeeally detailed Sim Tracker in my google docs last night. It's like really detailed and calculates everything you can think about (and more) and even gives you such cool graphics at the end. Of course I had to do this for Planet Alades (I love shreasheets, bear with me) but now I can't remember where I got that doc from? It was already a copy of the original, so it doesn't show me the OP. The file is called Sim Tracker v1.8 - Blank. I wish I knew who was so detailed to do this spreadsheet and if there are some explanations for some functions (it's really a lot, guys!). Does anyone remember a thing liks this? I could add pics if someone wanted.

Thank you for all your replies on my new story guys, it makes me really happy to see you’re all getting invested into the characters and have started to pick favorites etc.! Some of you will be really happy soon, others disappointed, it makes me super excited for the future chapters to be released and to see all your reactions again haha! We’ve got two good ones coming up today actually that should stir up some of you ;).

Also, I’m going to my parents house for 3 weeks tonight. Hopefully my dad can fix my pc and then I can start posting chapters for my other stories again as well. I will give priority to the Avesnes Aristocracy over the Robinson Challenge, but I’ll try to fit it all in.

It definitely isn’t! But if Yasmine wants a salon, she’ll have to build one herself that’s how the colony works! :P. Maybe one of Violet’s future children will be kind enough to place and buy one e.e. I’ve actually never tried the stylist career before and I’d love to try it out in one of my games soon.

Actually, some more reasons I like Davey include how he got a cat to make her happy! He would do anything for her! And he is shy, but he comes through for her and on top of that, she gets to see a side of him no one else does because of it. A side that's just for her! It's special. He seems really devoted and generous of spirit. She'd be lucky to have him. Hunter is okay but he's a bit mehhhh in comparison. There's no razzle dazzle there.

I truly love Davey he is definitely one of my favorites! If I may say so myself (since I made him lol), I think he’s got the best genes to hand out and I think mixing his genes with Violet would create some pretty unique and gorgeous sims. I’m not a fan of some of his personality, especially the part where he’s already completely devoted to Violet ever since he first saw her. I don’t believe in love at first sight haha. But I can’t blame him either, considering he’s shy and socially awkward but feels comfortable around her. It’d probably be really hard for him to find someone else if he can’t be with Violet. Though, this should also not be the reason for Violet to pick Davey because that would be wrong! Ugh, choices... I can tell you, I’ve had the worst time picking her spouse and in the end the game kind of decided it for me so I went with it haha. You’ll see soon enough whether you get your wish ;). (Yes I can ramble about my own characters as if they are real people and I totally don’t control them lol).

You’re definitely right that we haven’t seen much of Hunter yet. Davey already had a journal entry of his own so you’ve been able to see into his mind. Hunter will have one soon as well, so make sure to catch it :). They are very different from each other, though I think they are both great. I’m glad to see that my two favorite choices are reflected in the poll as well.

Well, Scarlet got knocked up by Dimitri already (typical, the celebrity gets pregnant out of wedlock first) even though they aren’t in a relationship I think, so who knows! I’ll keep my eye on them e.e.

Thanks for your vote! Davey is a great choice, and so is Hunter. Actually, all of them are great choices. In my game, Violet has a 100 relation with all of them without me even trying... I didn’t know her set of traits would be so good for making friends! I had forgotten about most of the traits of the other colonists so I just picked something and now I realize she’s a good match for quite a few sims lol.

Phew--I was worried about her and Dimitri after he invited her to a party where, surprise surprise, she was the only guest! That move was a little too creepy for me, personally.

Lol my thoughts were the same. Violet gets an invite to Dimitri’s house for a party literally every single night. She can’t go most of the time because she has to work, but man that guy likes to party! That was the only time she was the only one who showed up though. He immediately did that blow kiss it was such a set up haha!

Haha for me, turning on SP from the beginning kind of gives it a thrill you know. I like the idea that the town is also moving around by itself instead of just around my character. It adds a certain gameplay value and surprise element. I never direct any of my stories truly (of course I think of ideas and work towards them and sometimes I create a little drama to keep things excited, but I don’t think of a detailed storyline before I start playing and I don’t use poses during my gameplay), most of the time I go where the game goes and think of my story along the way. Like when Ferdinand got rejected by Erika in the Avesnes Aristocracy for example.

I’m not a person that use these types of blogs to talk in, but I just really need to get a few words out. Sorry if I ramble a lot, this is one of the first few times I’m using anon on Tumblr. Since I don’t want no one to mess with my main blog. But I really want to get this out here, since I know I can’t just send a message to the dev of the game on the way I feel about his game and him. So, I’m going to make a whole message on this. Sorry if this becomes a rambling mess. Also, I might make another one so I’ll just go by the name C Anon or BunChu? I hope that’s okay. It’s dumb I know but It’s something OvO. 

I used to be a huge fan of yandere sim in 2016- early 2017ish, even though I don’t like the whole yandere trope. I though the game was a cool idea. Since I never seen a dev on YouTube talking about a video game in videos. To me Yandere dev was an idol, since I was trying to get in game development. I’m a small dev that uses rpg maker and I did create two games, I’m not a person who can code/program. But I do know things about game design. I was so into yandere sim I thought of even cosplaying the game. I’m happy I woke up and saw how the dev is just messing up the game and how he’s not a nice person.

The video that broke me was the rival intro video, this video pretty much made me think that Yandere dev doesn’t know anything about games. Since you don’t reveal your whole cast of characters. You would want to keep them hidden. Don’t show so much off in your game, but he shows everything off. Also, the two-adult rival just made me think so low of him, since that’s sick. They are adults, why would you do that. That’s just sick, after a few days I read up that the dev made them 18??? When I was into the game I thought yandere-chan and senpai were 15-16. They are just starting high school right, it’s yandere-chan’s first day of high school so she s freshman. So, she has to be like 15-16??? That’s what I thought she was, so I was gross out. On the fact that she’s a minor. I told myself if I got the game I would just kill them, since that’s gross. Plus, the teacher looks like she’s a character in those type of videos, like her pose is so wrong. Another thing that made me weird out was the idea bag/menu for yandere-chan’s outfits. Her skirt. So, you can see her underwear. What normal person would want to play the game by seeing a girl’s underwear. That’s just weird and disgusting.

By the way this is all before I found out all this dark history of yandere dev, so I know nothing about Evaxephone, the other name he went by. After the rival video I just started to watch his videos to break them down, and see how he doesn’t know what he is doing. One thing is the poll, he doesn’t follow them. Take it from someone who is using rpg maker and made two games. He has zero clue what he is doing. I made polls for my game, since I want to remake it and make it better. I took the advice other give me. When I want to go back and remake that game I made. (I won’t name it since then people would find my tumblr, which I don’t want)

But Yandere dev isn’t a dev, he’s a big baby who can’t take any advice from others. My first game was edgy trash, it was bad. But I took advice and my 2nd game is much better and now I’m working on my 3rd game. While yandere dev is a dude that gets piss off when you call him out fro something or try to critique him/ give him advice.

LIKE THE MAIN DUDE FROM SKULL GIRLS TALK TO YOUR BUTT, I WOULD HAVE BEEN HORNOR IF HE TALK TO ME AND TOLD ME THINGS TO MAKE MY WORK BETTER. YANDERE DEV STOP BEING A HUGE ASS AND GET YOUR OWN LIFE TOGETHER, STOP BEING A PERVERTED GUY. YOU HAD A NICE CONCEPT AND PEOPLE WHO LIKE IT, BUT YOU JUST BLOW IT!!!!!!!

Stop having a huge ego problem, and thinking people are taking you, the only reason people are making these blogs since they want to maybe help your or show you all the wrong you have done. Like Art theft, yep. I really can’t believe you stole art just to say “DLC CHARACTERS” Like YOU HAVE AN ARTIST/ARTISTS TO DRAW THINGS FOR YOU. Unlike you I make all the dang assets in my game, which is the art. So, it takes my time since I’m doing everything in my games except music and coding. YOU ARE JUST CODING, YOU HAVE ARTIST THAT CAN DRAW YOU THE DANG DUMB DLC CHARACTERS. Plus, you didn’t have to add them.

I think I’m done, I was just rambling, but I just wanted to say I use to look up to yandere dev since I thought he was a cool dev. I wanted to have a dev to look up to while trying to make games. But I’m happy I found all this stuff about him. Since he doesn’t deserve to be an idol to someone. I just want him to know that he’s going to destroy his game, and just mess himself up and I hope your happy about that yandere dev.

Most of this became a comparison to me and yandere dev, but me becoming a game dev help me see though the bullshit in his game. Also the bull all about him. Plus he’s developing logic is just wrong, since I talk to game devs who do a million better job than yandere dev. The dude can barley write a game, for a game named yandere sim the protag isn’t a yandere. She’s just BORING AND EDGY!!!!!!!!!

Declarations-of-Drama’s questions

1. The boss of EA is in front of you asking for one statement about The Sims before he goes away and makes TS5. What do you say to him?

Ask @simcatcher about her ideal Sims game and do exactly as she says. (She suggested a Sims game with passing eras, and really I think that should be doable. Sim City 2000 was a bit like that - you could choose to start 1900, 1950 or 2000, and development would take place accordingly.)

2. Do your Sims know of you as their Sim God or are you the invisible deity to them?

More like the invisible deity, but I wouldn’t call it that. I see my Sims like fictional characters in writing or in a play. Even if the author is of course in charge of their fate, this doesn’t affect religiosity within the work of fiction. And even more abstract, those Sims in heavily scripted and posed stories I see as fictional actors playing the actual characters (not unlike the production of MKASONP ;) To those I’m the director, which makes it a lot easier to keep the right emotional distance for storytelling.

3. How do you see yourself connected to your Sims? Do those of you who say you love them, really mean this? How deep is your game?

I’m definitely feeling responsible and sometimes even overprotective about my Sims. Partly because that’s just my personality, partly because I started playing Sims 1 as a kid and there it was not so easy to keep a Sim alive and happy. And the way I understood games at the time, Sims dying meant: You lost!

Nevertheless, I’ve finally gotten rid of the habit to start every new household with making all Sims learn cooking in order to avoid fires.

4. What’s your Sims Secret? Is there something going on in your game that none of your screenshots will ever tell us? WHO IS LOCKED IN YOUR BASEMENT???? What are those secret Sims doing behind closed doors?

Nothing major. The weird stuff that happens is usually so funny that I post about it anyway.

5. Can we learn anything from our Sims to take away into our real lives? And/Or can you give us an example of how The Sims has influenced you outside of gaming.

When I finished highschool, I was really nervous about going to university, and playing the Sims 2 University EP was strangely therapeutic in this situation.

1) What’s your favorite story/tale/scenario playing over and over in your head ? Gimme a glimpse ?

It used to be the central scenes of Chevalry, but not so much any more since I got them out of my system. It still feels so weird to think of this as a finished story.

2) What’s the screenshot/edited pic of yours that you’re the most proud of ? Can I see ?

3) I would want to read an unedited bit of your writing. Something you did, something personal or neutral, something that feels important. Cos it probably is. You can use your joker on this question. Or share your talent ♥

Most of my unedited stuff is German, so this is really random: It’s a fragment of a shortstory I never got to work properly. It’s supposed to be about a girl who’s haunted by a story. It’s a fairytale-ish story of love and adventure and she’s just waking up to the realization she’ll have no chance of this in her own life. She tries to avoid hearing how it ends, but wherever she goes she stumbles upon snippets of it. I wrote this in English because I meant to hand it in for the University’s English magazine.

The only way to flee from the story was down the stairs. My bare feet were freezing cold when I entered the kitchen. I could still hear a mutter from upstairs, but there was no other room I could go to. For the first time I realized how small our house was. I sat down on a kitchen-chair and sang to myself under my breath to keep me from listening. That's how Mama found me. “Hey, what was the matter with you just now? It's such a nice story.”

“I didn't like it.,” I told her curtly and hurried back upstairs. The story had unsettled me. My hands were shaking when I opened our bedroom-door.

“[...]”, Caroline beamed at me, when I entered. “[...]”

“Shut up!”

Luckily Caroline is easy to impress. She threw her blanket over her head and didn't say another word.

I went to sleep, I got up the next morning, I went to school. I was sitting at my desk sleepily. I had been dreaming of running away all night, but the faster I ran, the more clearly I heard the words I so dreaded. I wasn't paying any attention, so I was rather surprised, when my neighbour handed me a worksheet. “Read the following extract:,” it said. [And it’s an extract of The Story, of course]

4) What do you get inspiration from ?

Everything. History, houses I see in town, places I’ve been to, songs and misunderstood lyrics, listening to music on the train. Stories that I like, or dislike, or like parts of, or when reading a lame story and imagining it was a good one.

5) Do you sometimes want to create a sim story out of a dream you had ?

Not exactly a Sim story, but I have a collections of dreams written down that I’d love to make into stories. Unfortunately, they’re all completely crazy and surreal.

7) If you’re a writer/storyteller, what’s your working pattern ? What’s your routine, if you have one ? How do you write ?

I think the most work I’m doing when I’m walking somewhere or doing boring work. Especially since I started writing in dialogues, I practically know the scenes by heart and can fine-tune them wherever I am. It’s just important to write them down when I get back to my computer.

8) Which sim of yours do you like the most ? Why ? Feel free to tell me more infos about them, what’s their sign, religion, beliefs, what do you think is relevant ?

I’m finding it increasingly difficult to distinguish between Sims and Characters...

9) What is your favorite sim couple ? Yours or other simblr’s ? Why ? What specifically makes you want to see them together ? Becaaaaaause will not be taken as an answer*

I’m all for including @jepensedoncjesims ‘ Mazen and Ara Frost in the Ultimate List of Most Romantic Couples Ever. Y’know because they literally waited an eternity for each other, and lost themselves in the process beyond recognition and still there are sparks between them. And also they’re both very good-looking! And I’m so curious about how things are with their daughter!

10) Do you have a story you wrote/write/want to write that you want to tell me about ? I sure would want a link :)

There used to be one on the internet, I wrote for the above mentioned magazine, but it’s down...

2.  What do you look forward to the most, as you wait for your game to load?

That depends on which save I’m loading, but the most exciting is when I’m testing some self-made item for the first time and can’t really tell if it’s going to work as I imagined.

It has actually happened that when loading a playing save without special purpose, I found the book I was reading in the meantime more interesting...

3.  When is the last time you went in game AND what did you get up to?

The last time I opened The Sims 3 was when I did the What’s-in-my-Sim’s-bag photoshoots, and the very last time was when I drafting the posts and suddenly realized that Edward and Arthur should change bags. ETA: And by now I also did a story-scene.

5.  If you decide to actually do this…why are you even answering my questions?

Because I love question 2!

1. Why did you create a simblr?

I discovered simblr through cc-hunting, and then I saw that one could also post gameplay pictures there. I was just at the beginning of learning to make cc myself and this community felt like something I wanted to join (and that’s a rare feeling with me!)

3. When did you start playing the sims & which game (1 - 4) was it?

A friend from school showed me the Sims 1 on her computer when I was eleven, and I instantly loved it. I was super shy about asking my parents if I could have the game for Christmas - it was so grown-up! I had only played interactive learning games before. I got it though, and that's the reason why the ts1 buymode tune still puts me in a Christmas mood when I hear it.

4. Who is your favourite sim you have ever created?

Valea. She's perfect.

6. Mermaids or fairies?

Mermaids! Fairies! Fairies!! Mermaids!!

7. What’s the weirdest thing that has happened naturally in-game?  

Admittedly, this was mod-generated in its cause: The fist time I played a male pregnancy in Sims 3 I didn't know I’d need to install special clothing. So the poor guy became invisible from the neck down. Well, he lived as a floating head until the baby was due and then he floated off to hospital. Ten seconds later his sister, who lived in the same household and worked as a nurse, was called to hospital. They said, an emergency had just arrived...

8. Big pets (cat, dog, horse) or small pets (turtle, bird, etc)

Big pets. I always lose small ones - either in Sims' inventories, or through death or during household rotation.

9. What’s your favourite build you have ever done OR EA made build?

My favourite self-made build is Broadbent Manor. For once this turned out to have realist proportions and be playable, and look decorative.

10. What’s your favourite EA made neighborhood (can include the vacation ones too!)?

Dragon Valley! It's beautiful and it has so many interesting Sims in it.

Teltaodstool's questions

1. How many screenshots do you have?

Ah well, I'm a historian. I like archives. Windows says it's 19.596 files in 179 folders. That's not counting technical screenshots for cc; those are stored with the respective project. I actually deleted a bunch of those recently.

4. I know this is asked a lot, but which expansion did you get first?

Pets. Actually I bought Sims 1, 2 and 3 only after the Pets EPs came out, so I could get those right after the basegame. (When I started playing the Sims, one of my biggest wishes was to have a pet in real life)

5. Do you remember who your first sims were?

I have a visual memory of my first (or at least a very early) Sims 1 family. It was a single mother with her daughter (I wasn't good enough at the game to manage more than two Sims). I don't remember what they were called, but I think the daughter's name might have been 'Kiera'.

6. Have you ever accidentally killed a sim?

Yes, that happened once in Sims 1. More recently, my Cave Island Legacy founder was accidentally killed by the game (meteor), but I decided to turn it into a close call for the story's sake.

The classic thing of walking away without pausing happened to me once in the Sims 2. All my Sims survived, but served a large number of stuffed turkeys :D

7. How many sims are in your household usually?

2-6. One sim alone makes me claustrophobic (and causes the game to glitch), and with more than 6 Sims it gets stressful. That's for gameplay though - for storytelling, 8 Sims is a small household.

8. Have you ever tried to make a custom world? Whether by the Create a World tool or in a save, it doesn’t matter.

Well, making Bakafox's Howell Island DIY into my Maplethorpe Save counts, I guess :) Sometimes I work on a custom edit of the France WA world to resemble ts2 Veronaville, but I haven't touched it recently.

9. What’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen the Grim Reaper do?

In my own game: Playing with the little chickens. But the weirdest Reaper scene I've ever seen was on someone else's blog shortly after ts4 came out and there was that glitch that made Grim appear all over town. He came to a party and felt a pregnant woman's belly. (Sorry, I don't remember who posted that!)

2. What type of simmer do you consider yourself to be? Storyteller, builder, casual player, simsphotograph, all of them, none of them or other?

Storyteller. Even when I'm just playing.

3. Can you choose a near-future objective for you to accomplish as a Simmer? (Example: for me, it would be to finish the first generation of Ostracizing Humanity.)

I'm super excited for the Cave Legacy finale. But I'm going to take a short break from it first.

5. Imagine you have no responsibilities. Would you rather play the Sims a little everyday or spend two days a week playing as much as you want?

I'd rather have some responsibilities during which I can find new inspiration for (sim-)stories :)

6. In your opinion, what Sim resembles you the most personality-wise? (It can be created by anybody, may it be EA, you or another player.)

Marie-Constance by @aroundthesims - always completely frightened, especially in public and most particularly at parties.
