Guys- i did something and I dont know what to do-

So like- I accidentally put Bucky, Matt and Hope from my Wiz!AU in a poly queerplatonic relationship-

I DONT KNOW HOW!

It just sort of happend. Its not actually canon to the au...Except for the fact it totally is??? Like it is in the sense we all know something is going on but its like never confirmed.

Im talking nonsese- let me start over-

So like- I have a lot of ideas for my Wiz! X Dcu au right? I just havent gotten around to writing it all down. And one of those things things are interaction Bettween Bucky, Matt and Hope. Individually and as a group. And with out fail, I always end up having them interacting as if they where in a married/divorced relationship trying to figure out how to co-parent their son during the zombie apocolyps all while hes going through his rebelious teen faze.

So its the 3 of them fighting over how to take care of him and what he should and shouldnt do, while also them having a complex relationship with eachother. Them being the only adult heros in the group to take care of them ( others are either civilians, spys or kids. And like I said before Moon Kight is going through it so he dosent count)

The 3 have diffrent morals and stuff so they try to set Peter on diffrent paths, and this is what got them to "Divorced". This whole thing is like a domestic dispute with ex's that never dated.

But I also dont see them in a romantic sense at all. Maybe that would change if I keep thinking about it, but I also dont want to?? Cause even though they arent in a relationship in my au, if they were to have this kind of relationship i wouldnt mind it just being platonic. For many reasons but mainly

Hope: has that thing with scott and I dont see her really In a place to start something new

Bucky: Has been inlove with Steve Rogers since 1937

Matt: Just...Him. I dont think I need to explain myself as to why romance fails him.

I dont know how well Im really explaining this so I'll come back later with a snipet

Tldr: I subcountiously write my au's Matt, Hope and Bucky as if they were in a poly queer platonic relationship who are either divorced or struggling to raise their spider son together. It isnt canon to the au but it is in my heart (I'd totally make it canon though if most people want it to be lol)

I can thank @kyuairyeo for making me become hyper fixated on the Sakuya as Spider-Man au and because @kosukeiichi asked nicely I will now proceed to rant extensively about said au, the things that happen in it, and my own personal headcannons of course. The list will not be in chronological order.

The spider that bit Sakuya was genetically modified and infused with lupin piece energy which left some weird effects on him. He can now sense when lupin pieces are nearby which makes him able to distinguish a human and a human disguise. This got him in trouble with the GSPO from the director “you can’t go around assaulting random civilians, even if they are ganglers! What would the public think?!” To hilltop “Sakuya we all appreciate this gift you have but this is the fifth time you’ve run off give us a warning please-“. This ‘gift’ even got him snatched by the lupinrangers that one time and used as their personal ‘gangler detector’.

When sakuya was bit he collapsed and passed out for a few hours completely missing when the gangler that framed him badly injured his team. He first only adopted the vigilante persona to get revenge for not being able to stop the gangler but after saving some people and them praising him and claiming he was a hero he decided to become Spider-Man.

Sakuyas dna mutated when the spider bit him which greatly peaked goches interest. He’s simultaneously a human but also part spider and part lupin piece. She was greatly intrigued about how a specimen like this could even exist. This put her at odds with the other gangler generals because of dongranio wanting to flat out kill him. She even hired a gangler to capture him and bring him to her so she could dissect him.

Venom originally bonded to Sakuya as a means to become general but then tried to persuade him to join the ganglers.

The mere mention of Spider-Man is enough to strike absolute fear into many ganglers eyes as stories of him defeating various ganglers with his bare hands have spread across the backworld.

Noel is the one who makes and repairs Sakuyas suits for him.

The spider was genetically modified with all the normal Spider-Man powers (wall climbing, strength, spider sense etc.) but also infused with lupin pieces that gave it the ability of bio-electricity and invisibility. So he’s basically miles but he can also produce natural webbing.

The Vulture is a black market dealer who takes dead ganglers and dissects them to turn into weapons and sells them to the highest bidders. His armor and wings are made from a mix of metal and dead gangler parts. His business expanded when he found a way to crack open the safes and started using lupin pieces as power sources.

Sakuya interacts with the community more than any other ranger which has given him a fair amount of popularity. Especially with children. It annoys Keiichiro to no end.

Noel got really close to Sakuya after he found out his identity and because of their secret missions they do they have a lot of inside jokes. The rest of the ranger think it’s because they have a crush on eachother. This isn’t helped by the fact that Noel flirts alot and Sakuya lets some of his Spider-Man personality slip.

Sakuya is constantly forgetting he’s not normal. After his identity was revealed to the lupins and the pats he has had more freedom for when and where he uses his powers. And while the lupins and pats have grown used to his powers the public has not. He’ll constantly get comments like “isn’t that extremely heavy?” “Didn’t that hurt?” “How are you holding onto that” “it’s like you just appeared out of thin air?!” “how did you catch that ball flying at you when you couldn’t even SEE IT-”. The lupins and pats make excuses and scold him every time this happens. Yet somehow he still forgets he’s not normal and has to remind himself he has powers.

The lupinrangers are technically the ones responsible for giving Sakuya his powers as the spider hitched a ride out of the lab on them after they raided it.

Never ask Sakuya to explain how much something hurts his pain scale is horrifying.

Sakuya has acquired vast medical knowledge as Spider-Man. Before the pats knew his identity he was by himself. He was the one patching himself up after every fight. He was the one making a homemade cast out of web to nurse a broken bone. He was the one stitching his skin back together so he wouldn’t bleed to death. He’s had a lot of trial and error of how to deal with all kinds of injury’s. It sometimes makes Tsukasa sad that he had no one to rely on and had to deal with everything himself.

Sakuya teeth got sharper and he got fangs after he was bit. His venom came after having his powers for a while.

The lupin piece that gave Sakuya his bio electricity became unstable after being used on the spider which resulted in a freak lab accident that transferred the rest of the power into a scientist creating Electro.

Sakuya has a higher level of endurance and regenerates faster than a regular human which has lead him to be more reckless. He is constantly giving the other rangers heart attacks by purposely placing himself in the middle of danger. He was once wondering why it was so hard to focus on work before Tsukasa practically yelled that he had a shard of metal in his leg. Sakuyas response was “oh, this?” And then he pulled it out and went right back to work. Much to the horror of his co workers.

Sakuya is constantly on the move and saving people so he’s gotten used to sleeping anywhere. He will find a way to sleep comfortably on a ladder. He can’t be trusted to be alone when he’s sleepy, it’s impossible to wake him up once he goes down.

Keiichiro, Tsukasa, and hilltop were absolutely horrified to learn that he was trapped under a building when he fought the vulture.

Sakuya is very bad at self care. Every single other ranger has recounted a time where they chased Sakuya down and forced him to take care of himself. Wether it be tooma forcing him to eat because he hasn’t been for the last two days or Keiichiro dragging him back to his house because he is absolutely NOT patrolling with a dislocated shoulder.

When the ryusoulgers met the patrangers and heard about Sakuyas abilities they immediately made asuna challenge him to an arm wrestling competition and towa challenged him to see who was faster.

When the kyurangers met the patrangers hammie and Sakuya became extremely close because of their shared powers. They formed a sibling like relationship with eachother.

Zamigo likes Sakuya, well likes Spider-Man. With raw strength greater than a lupinranger and patranger combined and stubbornness to boot zamigo finds him an even more entertaining opponent than Kairi. This makes Kairi absolutely despise Spider-Man as zamigo wasn’t interested in fighting him anymore.

Satoru after being saved by Sakuya checks on him a lot to see how he’s doing. Sakuya often gives saturo weekly reports of what he did as Spider-Man. And updates him on what Keiichiro and Tsukasa are doing as well.

Sakuya is absolutely covered in scars. Ranging from bullets to blades to even burn scars.

Sakuya developed sensory issues after the spider bite and has adopted the habit of entering the office through the window as he cannot be around that many people in the morning.

If Sakuya doesn’t use his bio-electricity for a while he’ll get static-y with all the built up energy.

Sakuya lives by the fact that the world isn’t black and white. He will extend kindness to any human, gangler or alien. Even if they don’t deserve it.

Sakuya metabolism is through the roof. He is constantly burning through energy and eats a lot too. He started buying his own groceries after tooma commented about it once.

Sakuya secludes himself when he’s injured because of the whole ‘learning how to help himself’. Keiichiro and Tsukasa have learned that whenever he locks himself in the bathroom he’s patching up an injury and they jump him when he comes out to drag him off to the infirmary.

Sakuya also doesn’t communicate very well. He is not a leader and when he is it’s to himself. So he has a bad habit of going no contact while on missions and it infuriates the pats to no end.

Sakuya has made himself flatline before to trick a gangler and it scared the shit out of Noel when he found him.

Sakuya invisibility reacts with his emotion so when he’s excited he’ll flicker in and out of sight.

Sakuya once made the mistake of saying “if I’m not dead I’m fine” and Keiichiro immediately reprimanded (yelled) at him for a solid 5 minutes about it.

The duality of Sakuya is that he can survive multiple life threatening injury’s without batting an eye but can’t stay in a turtleneck sweater for more than 2 hours without getting sensory issues.

Sakuyas Spider-Man personality is best described as a mix between the 10th doctor humor and sassiness and the 11th doctors childishness.

Noel and Sakuya both have parkour competitions when they’re off work. Surprisingly Noel is winning.

Sometimes Past ganglers or villains Spider-Man has helped will show up at his apartment for free impromptu therapy/guidance or for coffee. Sakuya is a bit too nice to turn any of them down.

Sakuya had mastered the disappointed mom look to a scary degree. He once even managed to make Tooma stutter by accidentally giving him the look.

The Pats sometimes go out of their way to do something or be there for Sakuya as a way of making it up to him for the whole thinking he’s a gangler fiasco. The Lupins admitted that they didn’t know how to make it up to him.

Yes Sakuya is built like a martini glass.

Kairi and Sakuya will have pleasant conversations with eachother. Lupin red and Spiderman will try and end eachothers bloodline.

Sakuya down plays injury’s a lot as he isn’t at much risk because of his healing. Its basically. “Your arm’s cut in half!” “Tis but a scratch” “a SCRATCH?!”

Sakuya has the no killing rule for humans but is more lenient with ganglers because their actual threats who have killed before and will do it again. He’s kinda like tanjiro, he not hesitate to kill ganglers to prevent suffering but if they feel regret or never wanted to kill in the first place he’ll give them a chance. No more than 1 though.

Well I had a lot more ideas than I originally thought. I might start making more posts related to this au as I find it enjoyable to think about. If I do I’ll definitely flesh the story out more and get an actual timeline down.

Scarlet Lady Au: Two Halves of Marinette’s Heart

Author’s Note: Based on Zoe-Oneesama's Tumblr comic Scarlet Lady which is my fave Ladybug fan content or tied along with LadyBugOut. Only there and the amnesiac Adrien in the episode Oblivion do I ship Adrienette. Also happy birthday to Zoe.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng was smiling as he was riding on the back of one of her boyfriends Luka Couffaine's bike as he had insisted on giving her a ride to school. He and Adrien Agreste had recently revealed their feelings to her and she was torn between them: the cute and nice Adrien and the cool but also dorky like her Luka. It was tough to think it through even after they had both assured her that they don't want to hurt their friendship with her no matter what she choose. It was Alya who stepped in after healing her dilemma had said that she can just date them both since she had two hands for the each of them. Luka and Adrien were fine with this as long as Marinette was happy and it was then their relationship happened over the weekend.

They had let their family know and they accepted it well: Anarka was quite over the top in her excitement, Marinette's parents and embarrassed her by saying that she had got them 2 sons in law; Juleka had likewise already claimed Marinette as her sister in law and Adrien's father... Marinette and Luka looked at him in sympathy when he just shook his head saying that he was too busy to get a chance to tell him. Marinette comforted him with a hug not really liking how her favourite designer was so cold to his own son. Pollen was more than happy about his Miraculous' owner's new relationship and said his queen deserved all the love that she gets.

Marinette kissed Luka on the cheek after she got off and Adrien was there to greet them as they posed together for a picture smiling which Juleka took with Adrien's photo. Luka and Adrien showed off their custom necklaces around their necks made by Marinette of two halves of a heart with "Marinette's heart" inscribed on them.

"Are you sure that you are ready for everyone to know about you three?" Juleka asked giving Adrien back his phone and they nodded without hesitation.

"I don't really care as much for father's opinion but he seems to like Marinette as an up and coming designer so I think he will give approval." Adrien said with a huffed voice which had them silent.

"I wouldn't want to hide being with Marinette at all; I would sing it with my soul." Luka said Adrien posted the picture on social media with the caption:

They got in and as students saw the notice they began crowding Marinette and Adrien as they came in holding hands as they went to their classroom. There were students wanting to get a look at 2 3rds of the new couple as they heard the comments:

"Marinette scored herself with 2 cute guys!"

"Are you going to be modelling Marinette's designs now Adrien?"

"So are you going to be Marinette Dupain-Cheng-Agreste-Couffaine in the future?"

They ignored them and walked into class with Juleka not far behind them to see their excited classmates wanting to know the details.

"So Adrien, will you and Luka be fighting eachother to get the most out of Marinette's time?" Alix asked as Marinette glared at her while Rose was squealing about how romantic it was. Marinette was taken aback when she noticed Lila and Sabrina glaring at their direction while looking quite jealous.

She was shocked by this thinking that she was getting along with Lila and Sabrina was forming a good friendship with her while helping her start over from her toxic so called 'friendship' that she had with Chloe. Marinette's eyes widened when she noticed that Adrien went to get to his seat and their looks were going to his direction, so it was Adrien they were angry at?

"Can I please ask if Adrien has done something to anger you?" Marinette asked as they both shook their heads and there were laughter.

"Marinette, they are just jealous that Adrien and Luka got to you first!" Alya told her grinning as they ended up nodding slightly a bit embarrassed.

"You helped me be more truthful about myself and I still remember how in love that I felt when I heard you badmouth that terrible Scarlet Lady!" Lila said as Marinette was open mouthed wondering just could she possibly remember that since she was Volpina at the time. Marinette did remember that while she was telling the love struck Volpina that she hated Hawk Moth more than Scarlet Lady, that she a bit scared that Volpina was going to kidnap her as a bride for her comment alone.

"You've always been so nice to me Marinette and never held what I did for Chloe against me, even when I tried to steal your diary for her and lied my way into your room. You've been more of a friend to me than Chloe ever was and you are so amazing." Sabrina told her as Marinette didn't know what to say.

"I bet Luka and Adrien wouldn't mind if you wanted to date Marinette as well, if Marc is alright with Nathaniel wanting to go after Marinette as well." Rose suggested as Marinette, Sabrina, Lila and Nathaniel were now red in the face.

"Dupain-Cheng!" screamed an unwelcome voice as the entire class groaned in unison as they should have dreaded this reaction as Chloe came in looking angrier than they had ever saw her which was quite an accomplishment for her. "How dare you steal my Adrikins away from me! I could care less if you wanted to waste your time with that loser with the guitar as losers belong together, that do you think that I was going to sit back and let you keep them both for yourself when Adrien is mine!" Chloe thundered as the class glared at her.

"Watch what you say about Marinette or my brother!" Juleka said speaking up using courage that almost never comes to her.

"Adrien is not a prize to be won or yours to claim Chloe; it's his choice who he wants to be with!" Marinette told her as Chloe smirked getting out her phone.

"Managed to get a picture of your little notebook when you had it open and wasn't looking Dupain-Cheng." Chloe said showing off a drawing of a love heart around Chat Noir as Marinette was open mouthed at that picture being shown to the class and red in her face but while angry at Chloe, Adrien couldn't help but smile a bit at the picture. "So do you want to claim the mangy cat as well Dupain-Cheng with how pathetic you are?" Chloe snarked looking victorious but Adrien spoke up.

"Nothing wrong with having a celebrity crush Chloe, I have one on Marigold myself." Adrien said taking out his notebook and showing that it had a photo of the Bee heroine Marigold with a heart drawing around it as Marinette was redder in the face while Chloe was open mouthed.

"Nothing wrong with that dude, she is pretty much the best hero that Paris has now!" Nino said with everyone smiling and nodding in agreement besides Chloe and Marinette. Marigold has with her fighting tenacity, warm comforting words to Akuma victims after they were being freed and happy to help civilians in need made her a more popular hero. She had given interviews and how valued Chat Noir was as a partner and helped Paris realise how hard he had to fight against the Akumas.

"Excuse me but Scarlet Lady is by far Paris' best hero!" Chloe retorted by Alya got out her phone and showed the poll that the news station had made asking Paris citizens who they liked the best.

Marigold was in the lead followed by Chat Noir, Maotif the one time temporary Chat Noir was in 3rd place and in a very distant 4th place with barely 1% vote was Scarlet Lady. "Paris disagrees Chloe." Alya told her and Chloe was furious. People were being interviewed and the stories of people's interactions with Scarlet Lady were now circulating.

"Adrien, you can't seriously be okay with this! I'm your friend and we would be much better than stupid Dupain-Cheng!" Chloe told Adrien but he shook his head.

"'Were' your friend Chloe, 'were' as in we used to be and haven't really been friends for a long time but I am just making it official!" Adrien thundered and Chloe was open mouthed and this surprised the class. "Sorry Chloe, I have tried to give you some time to better yourself but you keep pulling these stunts while being a cruel bully to our classmates and treating me like a possession of yours. Calling my girlfriend and my new bro losers was me losing all patience and I can't pretend anymore. I am sorry Chloe but I can't be friends with you anymore, you are different from the friend that I used to have." Adrien said and Chloe furiously charged at Marinette.

Adrien caught her hand and glared at her hard before letting go, Chloe began ranting and shouting on the spot while kicking the desk and Ms Bustier had to tell her off and send her to the principal's office.

"Sorry about that Adrien..." Marinette said since as much bad blood as there was between her and Chloe, the bully did used to be a friend to Adrien.

"You have nothing to be sorry about, just keep being the girl that I love." Adrien told her and she smiled back.

Later in the week, after school they were at a park bench as Marinette was at Luka's lap and Adrien was in Marinette's as the three relaxed together. However they heard screaming and saw an Akuma attacking people in the streets.

Marinette jumped out of Luka's lap and helped Adrien up who was in a similar panic as her's. "Sorry guys, I hate to break up a perfect moment but... I have to get a cake to Nadja and I don't want to be earlier than I was last time since it didn't go so well..." Marinette said thinking on the spot.

"Don't worry... I just remembered an event that my dad would want me to be at..." Adrien said as they both ran off in separate directions.

Luka smiled as she dusted himself off and went home chuckling at them, after a few days of this did they really think that he would not pierce it together? No matter, this means that he could talk to Adrien about Marigold and bond over them crushing on her.

Literally all of the lovesquare is trash not just ladrien lmao

I personally don’t think of it as trash, but I appreciate your input?

Don’t get me wrong I do like the lovesquare, so these kind of messages kind of lose their impact on me. It’s more that, some ways they interact are better than others to me.

To sum up my opinion on the lovesquare dynamics and ranking them from best to nah here:

1) adrinette

2)marichat

3)ladynoir

4) that thing I’m trying not to accidentally put this post on the dash of people who like it. And am hoping that anon not blocking out the word won’t put it there if it does I’m sorry

I obviously prefer marichat more than tumblr does, everything else lines up and I still feel pretty vaild and plenty petty. If you want an explanation behind my reasoning, click below!

Starting with la/////drien, my point is that “cute flustered” bit never came through for me, I never liked it, they always just seemed awkward and distracted and the situation was uncomfortable. That side is my least favorite mostly because of two things.

1) how it started. As the show goes on, they’re obviously acknowledging that the other person involved has flaws, but at first they were really just putting the other person up on a pedestal and that mentally lasted a lot longer than I’m comfortable with. I’ve see the “all crushes are like that” argument going around and I just.... they aren’t? Maybe for the first little while, or, certain crushes, but it’s just weird to me in this case.

2) in this situation the masks actually bother me more. With lady noir, they’re both wearing masks and if I’m being honest that’s one step above lad////rien for me anyways, but, there is equal anonymity.

On the other hand, I think I like marichat because, in my opinion, adrien would f**k up the whole secret identity thing pretty fast in that scenario while Marinette wouldn’t? Or at least, adrien would do it sooner.

What I mean is that, in my opinion, Adrien’s behavior towards Marinette would change noticeabley and faster. I mean, we already saw this with evillustrator, the first thing he tried was asking her about his super self lmao? It’s going to take a lot for Marinette to be less flustered and awkward around Adrien, even being in her superhero persona didn’t really help all the way, plus secret identity keeping is really her thing at this point. Plus I believe they have a better chance of really getting to know the sides of one another that they don’t usually see. No awkward flustering or dumb distractions, they’re best buddies who know each other too well and can’t be best buddies at first and have to try very hard to not let on how well they know each other.

Adrien has to fight his way around not mentioning school and Marinette can’t remember their superheroing to well, friend running the ladyblog or not. Plus the whole concept of Adrien supporting Marinette’s crush on who he presumed is luka/Nathaniel/whoever is hilarious, and the chaos that would ensue if she followed Chat’s suggestions around Adrien would be hilarious too. (There’s an amazing fancomic where he comes across her upset after another failed confession and wants to know who the asshole is and she tells him and his brain stalls at “I’m the asshole?”) it’s just perfect to me lol.

But back to the masks! For one, whether you like it or not, they do act differently when they are and aren’t wearing them, specifically towards eachother! Marinette being so awkward and flustered almost solely around Adrien isn’t really her whole personality, it’s a consequence of her crush. When Adrien isn’t chat noir, he’s more.... well behaved and proper are the best words that come to mind. I’m not saying that these things aren’t apart of their personalities, but when the masks shift in certain ways they’re amplified in such a way that it sells the dichotomy perfectly. To Marinette, Chat is fun and goofy, and Adrien, although similar, is more reserved and polite. To Adrien, Marinette is shy, nervous and endearingly clumsy, with moments of confidence to be proud of while ladybug is confident and capable after a few bumps in the road. This does affect how they see the other person (ie, as two distinct people) and change how they act towards one another, as well as how they react to what they’ve perceived as a different person. Marinette obviously doesn’t fluster as easily and can be sarcastic and serious around Chat, and even though it isn’t quite as simple as I’m going to phrase it, Adrien is almost more... gentle, in the way he interacts with Marinette vs ladybug, almost like he’s seen her freak out so much that he feels a potential freak out is around the corner if he missteps.

(Back to Marichat lol) Another reason marichat bothers me less is that romance isn’t the goal from the outset. Befriending someone you don’t know a lot about is no big deal. Even though it’s a bit ironic for them, wanting to meet/befriend a superhero is a realistic goal for not hero people, and chat noir has interacted with Marinette a lot, so it’s not surprising he’d want to get to know her better. And they aren’t obsessed with dating/marrying each other, so they get to be goofy and also run the gambit of emotion when they realized they f**ked up and fell for each other by accident.

It’s simultaneously a cute friendship, a budding attraction towards one another and a somewhat stressful and unknowingly mutual game of cat and mouse as they’re both trying not to screw up identity stuff. With Lad///rien it’s just.... dramatic sigh and swooning nonsense.

(One last thing, the idea that chat noir would start paying more attention to where Marinette is and accidentally f**k up her chances for transformation by trying to make sure she’s safe is hilarious because unlike Adrien to ladybug, Marinette would appreciate the concern but start to get annoyed at some point and maybe even attempt to talk to him about it as ladybug, to get him to focus on fighting and not “some girl” which chat can easily misinterpret as jealous could you imagine)

Back to where we started, Ladr////ien just doesn’t work for me in a way that Marichat does. But beyond just the hero/civilian self sides, ladynoir works better in my opinion because again, equal anonymity, and second, Marinette would be consciously choosing chat noir instead of Adrien, not just getting an accidental 2 for 1 deal. I know they’d probably end up happy eventually, but I have a feeling that finding out Chat Noir, who ladybug turned down, kind of used the fact that she didn’t know his identity to date her anyways wouldn’t sit well with Marinette. And even though Marinette hasn’t really confessed, adrien might get the same feeling of, almost a betrayal in a sense.

(Marichat is also like ladynoir because they’re consciously choosing not ladybug and not Adrien, even though they get a surprise 2 for 1 anyways, and in that circumstance, finding out that they accidentally fell in love with the same person twice would probably smooth things over).

Adrienette will always be the part of the lovesquare that is the best because it’s.... it’s just them. It’s what the ship would be called if not for the secret identity complication. It’s probably where they’d pretty quickly land in the event of a reveal. Obviously, the dynamic would be something different if they revealed themselves, but in my opinion it’s also the most..... stable, I suppose, and equal, in the sense that, while, yes, they’re both hiding superhero secrets, I doubt they wouldn’t tell eachother eventually. They could meet each others friends and parents (if Gabriel didn’t suck so badly). It works in a way that ladynoir, lad////rien and even marichat doesn’t because even though they are hiding something from one another, it’s not a massive factor in how they interact. Ladynoir can’t happen without the constant reminder that they don’t even know each others names. Marinette would probably start to get frustrated with the idea that she’s dating Adrien but can’t hold his hand at school because she’s the wrong her. Adrien, well, as I said my theory is he’d flirt with Marinette by accident as himself rather than chat and complicate matters, but not like Marinette will “oh no two boys I like like me back what now”, instead she’d “two boys who like me look and act very similar and I’m starting to connect dots I’m not supposed to connect”

Hero’s and Dating

I’ve been thinking a lot about MHA after getting back into the anime and rewatching it...which spurred me onto reading fanfiction as it always does and I noticed a big trending theme with a lot of them. More so All Might / Reader fics. Minor spoilers if you’ve literally NEVER watched / read MHA.

They all end up using the ‘we need to keep this secret’ conflict. And while I understood that somewhat up until the point were his secret is revealed and his power is publicly gone I didn’t understand it for either pre-fight fight with All for One and post second fight. They often use the excuse of keeping the reader safe which is understandable on the surface but less so when you really dive into it. 

Hero’s clearly have relationships. We know this from kinds being born to pro hero’s (Todoroki) and mentions of heros being married even to eachother like the case of Kota. The Tenya family seem’s to all be pro’s BUT Iida’s mother if we can go by her basic appearances in the manga and anime. The biggest example of all is Nana Shimura, All Mights predecessor who had her own family and kids given the fact that she is Shingaraki’s grandmother. Even a holder of One for All got married and had kids.

So the idea of heros never dating or getting married either to each other or to basic civilians is canonically incorrect. There are most likely TONS of cases of it if these are just the ones we currently know about out of the main cast. We also don’t have any really references to relationships with All Might being dangerous until Shingaraki starts going after Deku. All Might is good friends with Detective Nasomasa Tsukauchi who’s only power is Detection...he’s just a really good detective but All Might is referenced to being very good friends with the man and is seen eating out at lunch with him a few times. 

I would assume a threat to All Mights S/O would be risky for any lower criminal as even just throwing the All Might agency in the middle of Tokyo apparently lowered the crime rate significantly and other Hero’s mentioned that it was odd that the crime hadn’t slowed down since All Might moved around the city of UA. Canonically his general appearance in any city seems to lower major crime significantly. Perhaps a big villain network MAY go after someone close to All Might but it seems almost foolish to do so. 

There is also the general idea that by association would keep his S/O safer. If people know them it would be MUCH harder to say snatch them off the street or break into their home since it would either be were All Might lives himself or otherwise protected. I have to assume pro hero’s relations are kept safer than most citizens, like how spouses of police are sometimes given special treatment like patrols often passing their area more than others and well fair checks. 

Likewise there would be no reason to keep the relationship a secret with Toshinori while in his weak form as literally no one knows who he is and he’s a non threat to everyone around him. It dosn’t seem like he get’s much attention in his weak form even AFTER people know about it. There MAY be an influx of old criminals trying to take there revenge once word got out but again one can assume if the S/O didn’t have their own quirk that they would otherwise be overly protected and watched by other hero’s, Toshi himself and the police. 

The press would be the only REAL hindrance though one can only assume they would treat his S/O like a movie starts S/O so...somewhat bothered when alone but not as much as the main man himself. Extra security wouldn’t be a issue, we know pro hero’s and top pro hero’s are apparently paid a LOT of money so hiring people to just keep an eye on his S/O when he’s not around doesn't seem like a stretch at all.

Personally I feel the trope is used more as a writing tool to keep the relationship more indoors without needed to write interactions with other’s beyond the main cast. Though an open and out there relationship with All Might either in his prime or any time he’s in the public view is a super fun thing to read. How would people react to the worlds greatest Hero having an s/o, would people dislike them and hound them constantly or would they be a press darling and beloved by the masses like he is? 

Long winded rant over, I just think expanding some of these stories without the crutch of the secret relationship would be nice. Toshi lived his whole life with a mask on for the public, as an icon and symbol. I feel being forced to keep the most important things in his life locked away and even forcing someone else to do so wouldn’t sit well with him long term. He would want to be normal, go on dates and give that person everything not just shut in a house lying to everyone they know and forced to hide their feelings in public. 

You also see how All Might literally can’t hide his favoritism with Deku even when that’s a student teacher friendship. You really expect him to be able to constantly hide his love from the WORLD long term? Poor man would literally burst.

This is just an idea that I want to tell someone. Au where Adrien doesn't go to public school, and when Lila shows up she claims to be dating him.

Okay, my brain ran with this a little because Adrien not going to public school is a hell of an AU on it’s own and would change things. 

Biggest changes would be: 

Ladynoir is Canon, as Marinette has Canonically admitted that she’d fall for Chat if she hadn’t fallen for Adrien. 

A lot of Akumas happened differently, and both Marinette and Adrien haven’t really gotten to meet one another yet. There’s been a few times where they ran into each other, but not long enough to really talk. 

episodes like Evilustrator and Simon Says, with major Marichat/Ladrien interaction, involved different plans and/or the Hero of the pair not showing off and interacting as much since the civilian is a stranger and not a friend. 

This all technically takes place during/after Volpina but during Season 2, even though Lila is doing her Season 3 stuff, because the exact events of Volpina don’t happen, and Lila doesn’t disappear for a whole season. 

Anyway, back to Lila: 

She shows up on day 1 claiming to be Adrien’s secret girlfriend and also bffs with Ladybug. 

Lila specifically says it’s a secret relationship because of Adrien’s fangirls and stuff. 

Marinette and Chloé, of course, know Lila’s lying. 

Mari knows because she’s Ladybug and has never met Lila

Chloé knows because while she does know about Adrien having a secret girlfriend, the info she’s gotten out of him don’t match Lila at all. (things like ‘she has blue eyes and black hair’). 

Also, with Chloé, either she isn’t actually into Adrien romantically (my usual trope), or she’s accepted his love for Mystery Girl and moved on. 

After that, they can see through Lila’s other lies. 

Both girls try to tell people that Lila is lying, but no one believes them.  

Everyone thinks it’s just ‘Chloé being Chloé’, and she’s jealous over someone dating the guy she likes 

Mari is a little more difficult

None of them personally know Adrien and Mari doesn’t have a crush on him

But Lila can manipulate a crowd. 

she asks if Mari is ‘one of Adrien’s fangirls with all his pictures on the wall’. 

Technically the wall of pictures still exists, but it’s purely design reference instead of a fangirl shrine. 

But between that and Lila pulling out the tears, it makes everyone doubt her. 

This leads to a wonderful Mari/Chloé friendship as they team up to expose Lila. 

They also help each other too. 

Marinette helps Chloé be a better person in general. 

Chloé helps Marinette stand up for herself even more

Together they find the balance between ‘being nice’ and ‘being a doormat’. 

Eventually, Chloé calls a meeting at her hotel. And she invites Adrien because he’s involved in this too. 

Adrien and Marinette meeting is... fun. 

Adrien finds Marinette familiar, but brushes it off as ‘I think I rescued her from a few Akuma attacks’. 

However, as the discussion goes on, they find that they’re very comfortable around each other. 

Then one of them says one of the inside jokes from their ‘Ladynoir’ sides and, well, the cat’s out of the bag. 

While those two are staring at eachother like the pointing spiderman meme and just yelling, Chloé’s like ‘uh, guys?’ 

They make up a thing, saying like ‘oh, we met... on the Ladyblog comment section! became friends there! and uh... that was an inside joke so now we know who the other is!’. 

Chloé’s suspicious, but it’s the best explainaton. 

That said, she does kinda scream because ‘goddamn it! of course your mystery girlfriend was Marinette motherfucking Dupain-Cheng!’. 

They then inform Adrien about what all Lila has been saying. 

He does kinda say the ‘can we take the high road and not call her tf out in a humiliating way?’. 

But both Chloé and Marinette explain that Lila isn’t just a walking tabloid magazine, she’s manipulating people and all that. And yeah he’s on board. 

On to the actual plan!!

The girls’ original plan was just to have Adrien show up at a class event and be all ‘who tf are you?’ to Lila. 

But with the extra information that Mari is the real secret girlfriend...

That still kinda happens, but the buildup is more fun. 

It’s like a class picnic thing. Everyone’s there. 

While everyone is a little exasperated with Mari’s sudden rude behavior concerning Lila, they’re not turning against her because I have more faith in them than that. 

Lila herself is going on and on about ‘her bf Adrien’, of course. 

She sees Marinette not fighting back, and thinks she’s won and finally broken the girl. 

Then Chloé shows up, fashionably late of course, dragging Adrien along all ‘hope you don’t mind I brought a friend!’. 

Adrien immediately goes over to Marinette all ‘hello, princess!’. 

Mari is a little bit of a disaster at that, but used to it as she’s been dating Chat for a while. 

Once he introduces himself and everyone makes the connection and all go ‘but what about Lila???’. 

Adrien plays dumb, for the most part. Him asking ‘which one is ‘Lila’?’ and looking between every girl in the class is genuine

Someone speaks up, pointing to Lila and saying ‘your... secret girlfriend?’. 

Adrien’s just like ‘Actually Marinette is my gf so....’. 

Everyone loses their shit over that. 

Lila tries to play damage control, claiming that ‘obviously Marinette has seduced him into cheating on me!’. 

That starts to get traction before someone points out ‘he didn’t even know which girl you were’. 

Everyone asks Mari for details on her dating Adrien, and she gives the ‘I didn’t know it was him because we met online under usernames but then when we met irl thanks to Chloé...’. 

Chloé pulls the attention back to Lila being a fuck. 

She points out that since they all now know that Lila was lying about dating Adrien, how about they listen for once about how everythign else is a lie too?

Mari, Chloé and Adrien work in tandem to debunk Lila’s lies now that people are actually listening to them, 

Lila still tries to lie her way out, but it’s too late. Everyone’s pissed. 

This is the point where she actually gets Akumatized for the first time. 

Mari and Adrien disappear to be Ladybug and Chat Noir.

Lila is a tough Akuma, and this is the first time they decide to bring in backup. 

And of course by that I mean ‘let’s have an excuse to give Chloé the Bee!’. 

The trio manage to take down Lila, the girl throws a fit over the whole thing, vowing revenge. 

Afterward, Chloé goes up to Marinette and Adrien all ‘so... met through the Ladyblog, huh?’. 

yeah she figured them out. Because Ladynoir banter is just like Adrienette banter. And also she remembers seeing Tikki, and just met Pollen, so she made the connection. 

They’ll still have to deal with Lila, especially as even if the class is aware of her shit she can always cause chaos elsewhere. 

They also have to address the elephant in the room that is Marinette and Adrien explaining their relationship to their respective families. But it goes over pretty well. Mostly. 

Other than that, all’s well that ends well!

Adrien Augreste: Nightmares

Adrien wasn't okay. He definetly wasn't. A week ago, he was with his Lady, happily getting ready to battle and defeat Hawk Moth once and for all as Kitty Noire and Lordubg battled against Monarch. None of them came unharmed from that battle, even if the damages weren't physical. After defeating them, they discovered their identities along with the identities of Le Paon and Mayura. Noone could have predicted how harmful was to discover that Gabriel Agreste and Jeanne Agreste had been plotting against their own family and their protegees. Of course their loyal minions resulted to be no other than their so loyal secretaries: Nathalie and Nathan.

They hadn't revealed to the public the identieties of the vilains, but everyone knew about the defeat of those who had been tormenting them for so long. Master Fu was shocked when he heard the identities of the villains and appologised several times to the teenagers. His siblings, Mister and Miss Fu, had been giving some sort of psychology treatment to the young heroes. The rest of the miraculous squad wasn't informed about the identities of the villains, but upon seeing how affected their heroes were, they didn't dare to ask them.

It was so painful. Adrien had been so close to die at the hands of the monsters his father and aunt created. Even worse he had almost lost everything important to him: his friends, his sister and, the worst of it, his love. He felt furious, betrayed, hurt, ... But he still had Marinette, who supported him without doubting, even if she just was almost as hurt as Adrien. But the worst were the nights, when he managed to fall asleep, the memories of all those previous battles came back to him, haunting him with the possibilities of things that could have go wrong and even picturing his father or his aunt killing him, instead of the akumas, as they laughed evily and took his miraculous away.

As far as he knew, his sister and the bugs were also dealing with their own traumas and the nightmares. Mari suffered insomnia, Marin developed a PTSD and Adrienne recluded herself on her bedroom, only allowing Marin to enter. It was frankly devastating for all of them to even face any of their enemies, mainly because they had to see them on a daily basis, but also because they clearly were devastated by their defeat. Gabriel was the shadow of the man he once was, recluding himself, barely getting any food or sleep and over obsesing with every single details of his surroundings. On the other hand, Jeanne showed some sort of depression mixed with sudden outbursts. The young heroes were almost scared to see them just in case the villains would somehow recognise them outside the mask.

The only bright side Adrien and Adrienne could possibly ever see about the situation was that they were no longer expected to do any sort of modeling and could do as they pleased, given the parnoic state of their father and the misterious disappearence of Nathalie, but in the end, they only felt more depressed because of the fact that they had also lost the little to unexistent love and care from their father. Of course, Mar and Mari were constantly with them, even if they didn't interact, just being there to let them know that they still had someone who cared about them, who would support them no matter what and that will always love them unconditionally. It wasn't really strange to see Lordbug entering Adrienne's bedroom or seeing Chat Noir running over the roof tops and stopping over the bakery of the Dupain-Cheng.

Strangely, each time Chat visited Marinette, someone of the miraculous squad was also there or at Marin's secluded space on the rooftop. He slowly began to understand that it wasn't because they had revealed their identities (they had meant to do it after defeating Hawk Moth and Monarch, but they weren't precisely mentally sane after that battle), but because they enjoyed how the children of the best bakers in Paris treated them, as if they simply were another civilian and not superheroes nor gods, like most of civilians used to do. Of course, he suspected that they knew the designers from outside the mask, but Chloe and Cleón certainly weren't exactly known to be civil with the designers and yet, they surprisingly appeared more often that not and generally behaved.

That day, he had had a particulary horrible nightmare were his father and aunt forced akumas into him to akumatize him and then made him cold-bloodly murder everyone in Paris, each murder bloodier and crueller than the last. he had slaughtered his firends, cataclismed Adrienne and Marin and torn Marinette into little pieces. He was honestly trembling and his eyes couldn't stop the torrent of tears flooding his face when he awoke and Plagg surprised him by hugging him and purring to sooth the pain, but he couldn't calm down and, despite Adrienne was recluded, he entered in her bedroom to check if it had only been a nightmare. When he opened the door, he saw his sister, also holding the handle of the door and with watery eyes and a stream of tears flowing down her face.

Without ponouncing a single word, both twins understood perfectly how the other felt and why the other was there. They hugged themselves closely, comforting the other and crying in a strange mix of fear and relief. Once they pulled apart from the heartfelt hug, they look one to another, nodded and called upon their transformations, turning into their superheroes selves and leaving the now colder than ever house. the jumped from roftop to rooftop, not saying a word, being only focused on getting to their destination. But when they arrived, they didn't expect to only see Marinette's lights on and much less to see all of their miraculous friends and Marin in her bedroom, no matter how big and spacious was the place (seriously, she and Marin had small apartment to live by themselves and they were still somehow surprised by Adrien's and Adriennes bedrooms!).

"Oh, um... Hello?" said Chat awkwardly. "Are we interrumping something?"

"Chat! You're not inte..." began Marinette. "Kitty! You're here too! Are you feeling better? Can I bring you anything or do anything for you?"

"Kitty?!" erupted all the heroes as they noticed her in the shadows, hiding behind her brother. They made a move to get to her, but Marin and Chat stopped them.

"Hey, give her some space" said Marin in a warning tone.

"She's not feeling in the best mood for this and honestly neither am I" declared Chat.

Marinette approached Chat and caressed his cheek. "Another nightmare minou?" said the girl worried.

"A bad one. She also had one, probably similar to mine" said in a low voice Chat.

"Poor minou" said Marinette as she hugged him tight to comfort him. "I'm sorry that you have to go through all of this. Is there aything we can do to help?"

"Yeah dude, we're kinda worried about you cats and the bugs. You haven't been yourselves... lately" said Carapace.

"Specially about you and Kitty. Seriouesly, we want to help you two. That's why we're in here today in fact" said Rena Rouge.

"Thanks a lot" said Kitty tearing down. "I'm sorry I'm like this..."

"There's nothing wrong ma minette" siad Marin comforting her. "It's not your fault and it's totally justified to be like this after... that discovery".

"Still, thank you. I don't know Kitty, but seeing all of you is kind of a relief right now" said Chat.

"Don't tell me it was that kind of nightmares" said Marinette very worried. "Oh, I'm so sorry Chaton. We're here and we're fine, you haven't hurt anyone".

"What does that mean?" said Queen Bee.

"It's because of my nightmares... One kind of the worst I tend to have is about getting akumatised and killing... everyone" explained Chat visibly in pain.

Carapace and El Zorro looked eachother and put their arms around Chat's shoulders. "Bro, dont worry, you're certainly not getting rid of us so easily" said el Zorro.

"Yeah dude, we're all here for you dude. We were even discussing about revealing ourselves, so you two can have more civilians to talk and get it all out from your chests" said Carapace.

"What?!" exclaimed Kitty in a bit of panic.

"Don't worry girl, we're just going to reveal ourselves, we're not going to force you two to reveal and the same goes for the bugs" said Salihafa.

"I still think it's not the best idea" said Marin.

"Oh shut up breadface" said Drone King. "We don't have to worry about villains now, let them do it to help the alley cats".

"Okay, now we're having it" said Marin angry. "First of all f**kface, they're not alley cats and they saved your ass more times than you can count, so show some respect. Second-".

"Stop it!" yelled Kitty. "I'm done with you two fighting always!"

"Fine..." said Marin resigning.

"Know your place commoner. We're the heroes here" said Drone King pridefully.

"He's also one you stupid dumbass!" exploded Kitty as she detransformed into Adrienne and everyone gasped.

"Well, I guess that now the cat's out of the bag" said Chat and detransformed.

"NO WAY!!" exclaimed the turtles and the foxes at unison.

"My bro has been a superhero all the time!" said Carapcae.

"No wonder I've liked this girl so much" said Salihafa hugging a confused Adrienne.

"You know they won't get it unless you detransform right?" pointed Rena.

"Yeah babe, spare the girl all the confussion already" agreed Zorro.

"Oh, right" said Salihafa as the turtles detransformed and revealed Nino and Nina.

"Wait a minute" says Chloe. "I get this is all important. The turtles are the Lahiffe and that means these sly foxes are the Césaire, yes. But has anybody thought that if Adrikins and Adri are the cats, that means the bakers here present are Lordbug and Ladybug?!" exclaimed Queen Bee.

Everybody remained silent for a couple of minutes, everybody looking at Marinette or at Marin until Drone King snapped out of it. "No f**king way. YOU are Lordbug! NO WAY!"

"Well, yes way young drone" said Tekke coming out of Marin T-shirt. "Hi, I'm Tekke, the kwami of Lordbug. It's a pleasure to meet all of you".

"Boy, you've got  looooooot of explaining to do" said Zorro smiling.

"Well, sorry for keeping you in the dark bud" said Marin. "You know how it is".

"My best friend is Ladybug, her boyfriend is Chat Noir and their siblings are Lordbug and Kitty Noire. I'm the worst reporter in all existance" lamented Alya.

"To be honest kitten, if it wasn't for the magic protecting your identities, you would have guessed a long time ago" said Plagg coming out of Adrien's shirt. "The name's Plagg, god of destruction and a cheese gourmet".

"It's adorable!" exclaimed nina upon seeing Plagg.

"Sheesh, calm down little Molly" said Plague. "He's not the prettiest of the two".

"Is this turning into a kwami-holder meeting?" said Weiss as she pulled her head out of Nina's jacket.

"It seems so" said Marinette. "honestly, this is pretty chaotic and definetly not how I expected to be either the night or the reveal".

"I'd recommend you to lower your voice and detransform before someone comes" says Tikki flying from behind a pillow. Everybody turned back to their civilians selves and sat down in silence, until Trixx made a fart noise.

"Trixx!" complained Alya.

"What? It was getting uncomfortable AND boring" replied the mischievous kwami.

"Little Foxy's right, it was getting bored and I don't have any cheese" said Plagg.

"Okay, how about we do a presentation round" suggested Marinette. "So everybody will know everybody's name".

"Excellent idea Ladybug" said Wayzz. "I suggest to begin with the red ladybbugs and the black cats".

"He always suggests that" says Plague nonchalantly.

"I will start" said Tekke glaring Plague. "I'm Tekke, Kwami of creation and my current holder is Marin Dupain-Cheng. Hello again".

"And I am Tikki" said the red kwami. "Would you like to continue Stinky Socks?"

"I already presented myself Sugarcube, it's her turn" said lazily Plagg.

"Very well then. The name's Plague, beautiful godess of destruction and that blonde mess of feelings is my holder" said Plague.

"Plague" warned Tekke.

"Come on Jawbreaker, I've behaved myself this time" complained Plague.

"I believe it's quite disrespectful to call your holder a 'blonde mess of feelings'. And don't call me Jawbreaker, I'm not calling you Death Breath" replied Tekke.

"Okay geez. Her name is Adrienne and she's in a tough spot right now, please be gentle with her" said Plague.

"Yeah whatevs. I'm Trixx, kwami of illusions and this beautyful reporter here is my awesome holder" said the foxy Kwami.

"And I'm Traxx, same story except that my holder is Alen" said Traxx as she jumped from Alen's head.

"Hello dear holders of miraculous. My name is Pollen and I'm one of the Bee Kwamis" said Pollen respectfully.

"As my sitser said, I'm the other Bee Kwami, Pellet. I apologise for my holder behaviour, we're still wroking on it" declared the kwami.

"I guess it's my turn then. Hello, I'm Weiss, Kwami of Protection and the Turtle" said the little turtle goddess.

"And I'm Wayzz, her brother".

"Is there any doubt?" said Marin. "Something to say or to ask before we go back into the loop of awkward silence?"

"I have something to say and something to ask" declared Chloe, surprising everybody. "First I'm going to say something. Marinette, we have never been in good terms and we have hated each other for quite a long time. But you still trusted in me and gave me the miraculous of the bee even after I got akumatized again. Two times actually. You still had faith in me despite how I am and how I've ever treated you. Thank you for that and I'm sorry for everything I've done to you"

"Thank you Chloe" said Marinete surprised after she recovered from the initial confusion. "That's very sweet of you... I'm glad that having the miraculous has helped you".

"Don't expect me to apologise breadhead, I still hate you. But I'll also thank you for trusting me with the miraculous" said a petty Cléon.

"You're welcome. I was hoping you would gain some sense in that blockhead of yours" said Marn.

"Stop it you two" warned Adrienne. "I'm not in the mood and Chloe still has a question to ask".

"Thank you Adri. Now, spill. Who were the villains that affected you for so much" said Chloe seriously. "Your attitude has been ridiculous since and I'm not the only one who wants to help, but we need some intel to help you whatever is going on with you four".

"Chloe, we appreciate the intention, but-" began Mari.

"Hawk Moth was father" interrumped Adrien. "Mayura was Nathalie, my aunt was Monarch and her secretary Nathan was Le Paón".

"Say what?!" blurted the others.

"It's true. They don't know our identites thought" said Marin.

"I'm going to shove my shield up into the butt of that old man" said Nina getting angrier.

"I'll shove my flute at full force against Jeanne's face then. She was so hypocrite!" said Alya.

"No, no. We're going to skin them alive" said Alen.

"Dude, dudette, I'm adopting you two and there's nothing you can do to change my mind" said Nino.

"I can't believe it was them" said the Bourgeoise having an existential crisis.

"We know Chloe, we were also so shocked Cléon. Nino, you can't adopt them, my parents claimed that a long time ago and they don't know about the miraculous. Alya, Alen and Nina, as much as I'd love to do all that, those are still crimes and we are superheroes" said Marinette, bringing peace to the room.

"I love when you do that" said Adrien.

"Shush minou" said Marinette blushing slightly.

the teenagers kept talking and discussing for the night, slowly accomodating themselves as they got sleepy. Adrienne sat on Marn's lap and he hugged her, falling asleep like that as she purred and he buzzed. Alya and Nino slowly rested their heads on the other's and fell asleep.
