A scene coming up much further down the line for An Arranged Marriage, but I always wondered about Hunith's relationship with Merlin in the later seasons. I mean, for all that he is, great and powerful, his interactions with her showed that he deeply loved his mom. Why we didn't see more of her just doesn't make any sense to me.
I would imagine she would eventually learn about the dangerous perils her son would go through, and while she would never stop him from doing such things, she would always be so relieved upon seeing him. Even if she knows that Merlin is one tough cookie to kill, it's her job as his mom to be worried. She would cling to him every chance she could, because never knew if it would be the last time she'd ever have the chance.
I see it that he's a bit surprised in this picture, that his mom is hugging him for the first time in such a long time, so this is the moment before he hugged her back.

They don’t really recognize how they’re treating him or why it’s wrong#But he does#He sees it clearly and knows why they’re acting like that

#mine#alien#xenomorph#origami#there she is ! ! ! ! !#the model is by kade chan you can even find it on youtube :)#i really really like how this one turned out one of the models i've had the most fun playing!#i think origami actually suits the xenomorph's look really well#the organic feel of the paper but also its straight lines goes along the biomechanical feel of the creature#and the goopy black nailpolish with the thin silvery coat on it works v well too#i tried to give it a bit of a movement#more so than i usually do so he's got a winding tail and posed arms and a slight walking pose#next up in my origami journey will be working on hands and feet sculpting lol

every time i think abt gon's nen contract literally aging him up. literally giving him an adult body as a reflection of his incessant need to be more powerful, to reach the goal, to grow up . and then after that he goes back to his family. and goes back to school. and does homework
like we all know gon basically saved killua's life by giving him a chance to be a kid. but in the moment he heals him, killua absolutely returns the favor. like gon gave him the courage to go back to his family and take everything that was worth it from his childhood and use it to save gon's. to let gon be a kid again too i need to CHEW on SOMETHINGGGG

And then my hand and eye mutinied against me and it ended up like this#It does look really nice like I'm really happy with it but hweh#I'd say I was trying to simplify so I can knock multiple out at once but a) I completely changed the poses during the sketch#Which I mean it's already a little on the complex side with them in costumes lol#And b) I ended up knocking another out the same day anyway so uhhhh it's fine I guess lol#Their couch really only comes in Loveseat and Extra Wide flavours depending on the day lol#Continuing the trend of them getting ready at home rather than actually being out during Trick or Treat#Even that one kid Trick or Treat was in the dreamscape! Will they ever leave the apartment! Lol#Another one of Scriabin's couple costume ideas again as well when will he stop complaining about his own choices lol#Never! He loves it! Haha#The halo is tucked into the braid in his hair - I've seen the headband version but they're ugly :P Lol#So basketball hoop design it is lol at least it's not a shower curtain haha#His wings' elastic arm bands are under his shawl - Edgar's helping him cover everything seamlessly#Not so lucky with his own costume! can we please stop with the ‘Mickey is objectively a bad person’ shit PLEASE.
I get it comes from a place of holding him accountable for his actions which is fair but going straight to “he’s a bad person” just completely disregards so much of his growth and development, and the nuances of the show.
I get Mickey fans got a reputation in the past for excusing everything he does and yea that’s annoying. But to counteract that by saying “he’s objectively terrible!” is so one dimensional and also completely goes against everything that shameless is about.
the point of shameless isn’t that all of these people are terrible, it’s to show the effect living in poverty has on a person and the lengths that are necessary to go to survive in that life, and the mistakes that ultimately causes people to make along the way.
no shameless character is perfect. that’s the point. even some of the worst things that characters have done have been because they are victims of their circumstances and situations. they are nuanced complex characters that can’t be put into boxes of good and bad
they’ve all done things to hurt other people and themselves. but the point is is that most of them have good within them, but all the factors against them make it harder to let that out.
“He’s a bad person” is a lazy reading of the show that completely lacks nuance in my opinion
