The dance lessons were to be held in the ballroom.  Which made sense, but also Mary kind of wished they weren’t, because it meant she had an audience.  Servants were beginning to prepare the room for the upcoming Flower Festival, and they were busying themselves washing windows, organizing decorations, or bustling around on errands Mary couldn’t discern at a glance.  I guess I need to get used to dancing publicly anyway.  She comforted herself with the idea that they were probably too busy with their own tasks to pay any attention to her dance lessons. Despite the bustle of the servants working, the middle section of the ballroom was largely open.  Three musicians were readying their instruments, a woman waiting nearby. Maddie nudged Mary as they walked towards them.  “Don’t fret,” she said, “you will catch on quickly enough, I’m sure.”

I find it very funny that supposedly every time our voices bicker and argue, the princess is just left there, totally unaware.

She seemingly acknowledges this too! After a while of back and forth in our mind, she’ll pipe up because she’s noticed we’ve gotten lost in our thoughts. She must think we have trouble with zoning out. She’s not necessarily wrong, I guess.
