Bungo Stray Dogs Characters in Twst Dorms
I was talking with some people a while back on Discord and it got mentioned the BSD abilities are similar to Unique Magic so here's what came from it. I'm only doing ADA members today, but I might do the other factions later on but idk. Spoilers warning for some details about characters and references to back stories for BSD characters, nothing major, but still there.
Dorm Sorting Basis in Terms of Traits
Heartslabyul - Severity if the Queen of Hearts
Savanaclaw - Stubbornness of the King of Beasts
Octavinelle - Generosity of the Sea Witch
Scarabia - Meticulous Planning of the Sorcerer of Sand
Pomefiore - Heavy Efforts of the Beautiful Queen
Ignihyde - Perseverance of the Lord of the Dead
Diasomnia - Elegance of the Witch of Thorns
Dorms below the cut
Osamu Dazai - Scarabia
Dazai, even though he has a carefree personality, has a lot going on in his head and is making plans for every possible outcome when it comes to missions. These plans take account of everything from the people involved motives, abilities, and personalities to on the fly environment changes. Making me believe he fits the Scarabia motto of meticulous planning. When in Scarabia I doubt Jamil would let him anywhere near Kalim with how scheming he is.
Doppo Kunikida - Heartslabuyl
Let's be honest, Kunikida is strict and holds his values in upmost importance. Sure his uprightness cause some gags here and there, being uptight is probably the only thing keeping him sane working with who he does. *cough* Dazai. His severity helps keep the ADA from burning down, and that is desperately needed at NRC. Also, he would probably be the only person to learn and follow all the Queen of Hearts rules other than Riddle.
Atsushi Nakajima - Ighnihyde
Alright, I know what you're thinking, but hear me out. Ighnihyde's thing is perseverance, right? What has Atsushi done but preserve? At every turn, life knocks him down, and yet he gets back up. He's been abused, lied to, betrayed and had to fight things way bigger than he ever could imagine, and it has not stopped him from fighting. If that's not him persevering, I don't know what is. Idia would probably be afraid of him the first time he sees the Beast Beneath the Moonlight, but other than that, I fell like they could get along.
Akiko Yosano - Diasomnia
Let's be real, Yosano fits elegance to a tee. She carries herself professionally and has alot of dignity. She has been through alot, so she could probably handle whatever training they threw her way with her insane resilience and pain tolerance. Maybe Lilia would use her ability (now UM) to train Silver and Sebek even harder since they have an on site medic.
Kenji Miyazawa - Octavinelle
Kenji is one of the nicest characters in Bungo Stray Dogs, always doing acts of service, treat everyone (even villains) with kindness and of course being generous. You could say his kindness is a sign of naivety like with Kalim, but he isn't fully unaware, the just gives too much benefit of the doubt. He would probably be a good asset to Monstro Lounge as well with his killer strength.
Jun'ichiro Tanizaki - Savvanaclaw
Jun'ichiro is rather relaxed compared to his co-workers, but he is quite stubborn when it comes to his goal of protecting Naomi. He can be beat, stabbed, and almost crushed to death, yet no matter what he gets up and continues to fight in her name. The Savvanaclaw members might think he is a pushover at first, but if they push him too far, they'll have a big surprise waiting for them.
Yukikchi Fukuzawa - Pommefiore
Fukuzawa, the dedicated founder of the ADA, who through his efforts managed to make a faction in the ability world that would help those in need. I feel like Fukuzawa would fit Pommefiore well, sure he isn't as vain as some Pommefiore mob characters, he still puts effort into how everything around him looks and is kept. He even tries to hold a stern boss persona when in the presence of his employees. He could probably work as a middle ground for Epel with Vil if he was de-aged. Fukuzawa could also be a past student now teacher at NRC probably specializing in combat magic or support magic.
Ranpo Edogawa - Ramshackle
For this crossover, I've been translating abilities to UM magics and overall skill with magic. However, Ranpo doesn't have an ability and is just a skilled detective. Since he had no ability and is normal, I feel like he wouldn't be able to be sorted by the Mirror. If I was going to give him a dorm, it would probably be Octavinelle since he gives out his deduction with little in return, but he's probably just going to end up with being Yuu's roommate.
Kyoka Izumi - Heartslabuyl
Kyoka though her stone facade is a skilled fighter whose energy and personality shines in fighting where she puts her entire being into the fight. Her severity is usually saved for important moments, but when it is shown it stands out. She would probably follow the rules of the dorm, since she is used to taking all types of orders. The Heartslabuyl gang would probably see her as cold and doll-like.

Mind Boggling Pt 1 - Miya Atsumu
Soulmate AU: At particular times (Once a year/ certain age/ hours/ or randomly) soulmates swap bodies for some time. (Specifics vary from story to story but I love this au wholeheartedly)
Requested
Word Count: 2k
Pt 1 | Pt 2
The rules were set for soulmates, whether they happen to have a tattoo, be colourblind, or even have wings or tails sprouting out of their bodies, rules were set. So why the hell were you so terrified? Though your soulmate quirk was a little hard to distinguish at a young age because of its nature, it was easily identified once you got a little older.
Body swap, where after a person turns 17 their mind is transferred to their soulmates for some time at any time. Though the combinations can vary from person to person, swapping only ever happens after a person turns 17. Should a soulmate happen to be below the age of 17 while the other is of age or above, the older will not have full control of the other’s actions and the younger will not be aware of the older’s presence, this only lasts momentarily before they are returned to their own body. In some cases, nothing happens until the youngest is of age as well.
Now, why were you scared? Well, when your birthday happens to be at the end of the year, the possibility of your soulmate seeing you do things you didn’t want them to, becomes increasingly high. All your friends were having fun drawing on their arms to communicate, or fiddling with their assigned jewellery (because they didn’t have a physical manifestation). You, on the other hand, sat at the side of the classroom, staring out the window to the falling snow outside trying to prevent yourself from doing anything embarrassing until the time came for you to turn 17.
Hitomi, one of your friends, sat on the desk behind your seat and played with your hair. In your mind, she got a lucky match in comparison to most. On her inner wrist was the full name of her soulmate. Whenever you complained about your quirk she would smack your shoulder saying something about she wished could live in someone else’s body for a day.
“So, are you going to decorate your room?” Hitomi asked as her nails picked at a pesky knot at the ends of your hair.
You laughed, “Ya right. I may be worried about the swap thing, but changing how my room looks isn’t going to be worth the effort.”
Finally clearing the tangled mess, Hitomi leaned back with a sigh.
“Are you at least going to write something? So they can know a bit about you?”
You fiddled with the pencil in your hand, spinning it between your fingers. You shook your head. The chances of things going the way you wanted were so low that eventually, you gave up trying to make them go your way. One of your fingers flicked too fast, shooting the pencil across the room.
“Even if I wanted to, I just lost my pencil.”
“Karma.”
“How the hell is that karma?”
“I don’t know, ask Karma.”
You sighed, letting your head fall into your hands that began to massage the skin along your hairline. These next few days were going to be rough.
You had always conjured up a story of how your first swap would go. Something like waking up in their bed one morning on a Sunday with all of their things being laid out in a way that made it easy for you to learn about them. Maybe, they’d have a letter on their desk or taped to a mirror for you to read.
Nope. Why would life take it easy on you of all people?
You fell asleep in class, which admittedly was your fault for going to bed so late. Even though the teacher wasn’t engaging enough to keep your attention on her for more than a few seconds at a time. But by the end of the period, your classmates would wake you up for lunch, no problem. At least that’s what you had thought when you closed your eyes.
That’s what you expected, but when you opened your eyes to loud cheering and high pitched squeaking you were more than a little confused.
First of all, it was extremely bright. Too bright. You thought your eyes were closed before. But now, as they squinted to adjust to the light, they were so tightly glued together that it hurt your nose. Next, it was loud. Much louder than your second-year beginner English class where the teacher insisted that no one spoke, and acted upon that rule. Lastly, you were standing in front of an open mesh wall with two glaring eyes drilling into your forehead.
You staggered back, pulling your hands up to your chest. It was then you noticed how tall you were standing, and how your centre of gravity was way off. Your body also felt bulkier, like your normal skin had expanded to a place it hasn’t been before. A hand landed on your shoulder.
“Nice set, Tsumu.”
“Huh?” behind you was a boy, standing eye level with you with hair that had been bleached to a mousey brown, almost silver colour. His eyes were open but tired, making the rich brown colour seem dull. You felt attached to him immediately. Even with his somewhat silent demeanour, the boy seemed welcoming. He was panting and sweating. Realizing this, you could feel the sweat roll down the side of your face.
The boy tilted his head, “You’re a little out of touch, did those freaks scare you?”
You looked to where the boy pointed, the copper top and his black-haired friend were still glaring at you.
“Why? Why are they glaring at me?” you fiddled with your now noticeably larger hands, now staring at their size and red blotchy colour.
“You okay, Atsumu?”
Another boy walked up to your side. His hair was parted in the center, framing his face that held an expression of general disinterest and exhaustion. He had an air of confidence surrounding him, even if it didn’t show through his slouched back, and his dark eyes seemed too analytical for any lazy person.
“Who?”
“Osamu, get the coach.”
The first boy nodded, waving over to the side where two men sat, watching. The addressed man called the ref, who stood atop a sort of podium next to the large net. The man blew his whistle and you were quickly ushered off in the coaches’ direction. As the head coach continued to watch the game progress the assistant coach with choppy black hair guided you to sit down.
Your knees pushed together tightly. Rather uncomfortably really, you let your legs relax when you noticed this. Your hands continued to fidget, picking under the nails as you watched the sport continue before you. Volleyball, you concluded, how you didn’t notice earlier was beyond you but it was likely the gravity of the situation you were in distracting you.
“You okay Atsumu?” the man asked, taking the seat next to you.
Your brow furrowed and your head tilted.
“Ya, here’s the thing, who’s Atsumu?”
Just as the man was about to speak, the scenery changed. Everything melted into new shapes, never really looking like something that didn’t exist but never being a fully-fledged object until everything froze back into place. Hitomi glared down at you.
“What an asshole,” she scoffed.
“Well, thanks I guess?”
Hitomi scoffed and glared in your direction before starting to pace around. You looked around the classroom. It was empty, lunch probably started a few minutes ago. Hitomi spoke, brushing a hand through her hair, but didn’t stop walking.
“Your soulmate’s an ass.”
You tilted your head with a nod, “Did you at least give him my name?”
The girl stopped walking and looked away from you.
“It didn’t come up. Not that he seemed all that interested anyway.”
“Not surprised,” you said, pressing your finger into your wrist. Your pulse was up. “He was in the middle of a volleyball match.”
“Please tell me he’s at least muscular.”
You sighed and slouched in your chair. Turning a bit to look outside at the gently falling snow again. You paused.
“Ya, he is.”
This happened a few more times, always at the most inconvenient, and you both overtime got to learn about each other through your pears. You found out that the first person you had met was Atsumu’s twin, although their personalities were different according to their teammates. Atsumu managed to open your phone and find a few of your photos and put in his number. These swaps happened often. Often enough that your friends could tell who was who before either of you spoke.
Whenever you happened to show up during practice, Atsumu’s teammates would help you learn the sport. It came relatively easy to you thanks to Atsumu’s muscle memory and build, but from the team’s perspective, it was more of a humorous game as they watched their talented teammate stumble around and make mistakes that he normally wouldn’t.
It was like this for a while. Until you found out your team was participating in the Hyogo Interhigh Preliminaries. You signed your and Hitomi’s names up to support your team at the tournament.
“Shouldn’t you be cheering for your boyfriend’s team?” Hitomi teased, elbowing you in the ribs.
“I will when they have a game going on.”
Despite having never talked in person over the past couple of months, the two of you did talk regularly after Atsumu put his number on your phone. You had a plan for how the day would go. First, you would watch and cheer on your school’s team. Then, once you got the chance, you’d sneak off to see the Inarizaki boys play. By the end of the game, that they hopefully win, you would run down onto the pitch and hug him.
You were delusional and you knew it.
Inarizaki’s supporting band was intense and manipulative. You had gotten to the game a little late, running from your school’s game that just wrapped up. You walked down the steps of the stands to stand next to two girls that leaned against the bannister. Despite not knowing the school’s cheerleading practices, you did your best to follow along. Up until Atsumu was up to serve.
His eyes were the same as Osamu’s, staring intently at the team across from him that shook from leg fatigue. Sweat had managed to get into his hair, making it look a bit greasy. And blood had rushed into his arms, making his veins more prominent, even from a distance.
You cheered with the girls next to you just as the band went silent. Atsumu glared up in your direction. You froze watching as he turned his attention back towards the net and served, leading to their point and win. As the band around you cheered you grumbled, crossing your arms.
“Jeez, you are an asshole, huh?” you mumbled, turning to walk back up the stairs to find Hitomi.
You had hoped to leave the tournament that day without interacting with your soulmate.
“Here again? Seriously?” in front of you was Osamu who chuckled at the sound of his brother whining.
“Hey, (Y/N). We won,” he said, raising his hands in the air slightly.
You crossed your arms, “I know. I’m here.”
Pointing up at the stands where your body was now spinning around to see where they were. You continued to talk with an annoyed tone.
“And right about now Atsumu is going to realize that he gave me a death glare not a moment ago.”
Osamu started to laugh louder, watching his brother, in your body, begin to grip your hair and squat in panic as if he wasn’t wearing a skirt.
“He’s an idiot sometimes, please be patient.”
You nodded, “I know. I’m just waiting for him to make eye contact.”
He did, and he winced, sending a meek wave in your direction. You pinched your lips together in a sarcastic smile and raised your brows. Lifting your hand, you sent a single wave in his direction.
“You’re going to punch yourself aren’t you?” Osamu asked as you both started to walk off the gym and out of view of Atsumu’s frightened stare.
You cracked the knuckles of Atsumu’s hand.
“You bet.”
There’s a part two. -Bacon

Life Goes On~ (Pt. 3)
Description: you suddenly appear in haikyuu after watching the show for weeks now, and you’re trying to find a way out after learning from these talented characters. you weren’t meant to fall in love with any of them, but with osamu’s alluring formosity and talent, you can’t help but rethink your life that has led up to this exact moment.
Genre: fluff, slight crack, slow burn
feat: miya osamu x f!reader
word count: 1.3k
status: ongoing
parts: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
Then it hits you. Time. You never thought about it, yet now another wave of panic is crashing down on you, more insistent this time. What about my family? They'll go crazy! And when I finally get back, they'll- *you start mentally sniffling* -they might forget me! And I won't have any food! I'll be homeless! what am I going to do what am I going to do what am I going to-
"Um, hello?" Osamu interrupts your thoughts, snapping his fingers in front of your face.
“Ah, sorry. But we should be sleeping... anyways… good night!”
You curl into a ball, the cold air still reaching your body despite the blankets.
“Ok. Night!” Osamu sighs, trudging to another bedroom.
You try to sleep, but a hurricane of convoluted thoughts swirl throughout your mind, devastating every morally supportive reminder as you contemplate if you should retrace your steps. You count sheep, like a totally normal person would when sleep doesn’t come to them, but it doesn’t work. Then you remember how you would usually go outside, nature doing its job for you.
You slip out of the apartment, trying to stay as quiet as you can.
That doesn’t happen, obviously.
“Ow!” You swear as you bump into a sharp edge on the counter near the exit door.
The door slams closed, almost on your bare foot.
“How graceful.” You walk up the apartment stairs, reaching a latch leading to the top. As you open it, the sudden wind nearly topples you off your feet like a harsh admonishment to stay away.
“Wow. It’s cold up here. I mean, of course it would be.”
The cold washes over your body as a layer- frigid instead of warm. You shiver, your body temperature seeming to slowly decrease by the second. But the stars shine light upon you like a spotlight, but even better. It was a burst of temporary happiness and ideas.
You walk toward the edge of the balcony deck, leaning onto the parapet.
“Life goes on, and every second matters. But, I need to find a way out of here. How am I going to stay? I don’t even know how I got here. This is just great. I don’t want to depend on anyone ‘cuz i feel like i need to owe-”
You don’t realize you’re muttering sleepily to yourself until a voice behind you makes you jump literally five feet in the air.
“Why are you up here?”
You whip around to find Osamu standing there, and you let out a sigh of relief because you were actually expecting a janitor to say this.
“Um, well, long story short- I couldn’t sleep.”
He looks back and forth at your dreamy visage and your shivering self.
“You’re going to catch a cold. Jus’ come inside.”
Without responding, you turn back toward the night sky with its brilliant stars illuminating the bright bustling city below. The whispering wind blows loose strands of your somehow silky hair across your face, and with the surprisingly calming feeling radiating from osamu, you fall asleep, your head nestled in your folded arms. (and osamu has to give you a piggyback down the stairs into his bedroom btw absolutely nothing nasty happens)
The morning settles over you slowly like the unfolding blatant truth. Rubbing your eyes and sitting up, you look around, unable to believe that you’re not in your room, because you half-expected that what happened before was all a dream, except you can’t dream a dream in a dream.
So, you know the usual morning routine, you get out of bed, brush your teeth, get dressed, and figure a way out of here (which isn’t what you would normally do, but change of plans..)
It was then you noticed Osamu cooking some other delicacy in the kitchen.
Your heart softens like syrup on waffles, because never before had anyone done this for a stranger like you, and you say “Samu, you don’t have to do all this for ME. don’t you have bigger fish to fry? Besides i have to find a way out- i mean, leave soon-”
“OK, but do you know where you’re going? You seem new to this town…”
You gulped. Your ideas for returning home seemed futile now. You couldn’t wait forever, you didn’t have any way to travel back, and, for the sake of osamu, you couldn’t stay in his apartment for as long as you had to (which could be years)!
Please let this be a dream. Please let this be a dream. Please-
Osamu chuckles slightly while frying eggs on a pan, pulling you out of your thoughts. “You don’t know, don’t you?”
“Like I said…” And, too mentally exhausted for lies, you reiterate how you were brought here.
As you catch your breath, you look at Osamu. Is that amusement in his eyes?
“No, seriously! That’s legit what happened, okay? Why would I lie about this?” You insist, frustration clawing its way up your stomach.
He seems thoughtful for a silent minute. “No idea. You don’t seem to be lying… but should I take you to the therapist? I think they could help. By the way, what’s your name? I can’t believe I forgot to ask you this.”
“Y/N. And I don’t need to go to the therapist! I’m telling you, this is what happened! And I don’t know where I’m going to stay for possibly the rest of my life!”
You sigh, the frustration already kindling a fire in your eyes, slumping down on the couch.
“Hey.” The previous glint in his eyes disappear like mist as he strides in long graceful steps toward you (after turning down the cooktop temperature) “Jus’ calm down already. I’ll help ya if ya need it. Besides, would staying in my apartment really hurt ya?”
“Okay..” you say slowly because you’re trying not to think about the way his hand is surprisingly on your shoulder. “But only if you can help me with volleyball.”
To spend the time, you think silently.
The look on Osamu’s face was priceless. Actually, it wasn’t. Because his expression was as blank as a fresh sheet of paper.
“What?” He asked like I’d just sprouted two heads.
“What do you mean what? Is it so wrong that I ask you for volleyball help when you’re an awesome spiker in Inarizaki?”
Oop. Major oop.
“How do you know that I’m in-”
“Ok okokokkkkkkk” You drag out the word, trying to think of an excuse during these seconds.
“Welp.. we’re near Inarizaki High, so isn’t it obvious that every high schooler from this neighborhood goes there?”
Now it was his turn to be embarrassed. “Oh yeah. Sorry.”
Realizing something else, he adds, “But didn’t you say that you don’t come from here?”
“Oh yeah. I forgot to mention, you’re part of a popular TV series”
“What?”
Now you’re starting to think he’s a total dumbass like his brother. “I said what I said.”
“Okay. I don’t believe ya, but sure.”
“Anyways… are you gonna help train me or do you not have the time?”
That new notion hits you hard. You came here for the practice, not for the pure joy of exploring a different world...
Noticing your flustered expression, Osamu says, “I don’t have much time with all my schoolwork… but I’ll help you during the weekends and you can come watch my team’s drills and sometimes practice matches..”
“Really??? You’d do that??”
“Yes” he says with a straight face, but deep inside, his heart is fluttering ever so slightly from your overjoyed expression.
Now this… was a start.
Glancing over Osamu’s shoulder, you ask, “Aren’t those eggs getting cold?”
(requests are OPEN) hope yall like it!! tag list: @omiomi-zoomizoomi @liechelia @sillyanimedream @niconiconiithot987

World Trigger Ch182 ‘Tamakoma Branch 6’ & Ch183 ‘Tamakoma Branch 7’ Translation
Look at my timing...
I suppose it’s time for apologies again, though I’m not sure by this time anyone’s still here or, if they are, whether you’d even want to listen to more excuses. But, well, I always do lose motivation when we get to the match the protags have to win to advance the story. Maybe I’m wrong and Ninomiya squad will still win, because that’s how World Trigger usually works, but on the other hand Tamakoma 2nd has pretty much won every one of their matches, and this in particular they need to win if they don’t want to be separated...
Anyway, I still love World Trigger, and translating, and translating World Trigger, so I’m going to keep going for as long as I can, even if I end up late.
Panel 1
Midorikawa: Ahhhh! Jin-san!
Yuuma: Thanks for your hard work~
Panel 2
Jin: Hey
Osamu: Welcome back
Panel 3
Midorikawa: Jin-san, did you come to do solo rank wars!? Midorikawa: That’s so rare!
Jin: I’ve been coming pretty frequently recently
Panel 4
Midorikawa: Then fight me too!
Jin: Well~ Jin: I’ve already fought a lot with Tachikawa-san and the others today…
Midorikawa: Ehhhh~~!
Panel 1
*peek*
Panel 2
Yuuma: Jin-san… Yuuma: The truth is, I Yuuma: Owe a favour to Shun this time…
*bow*
Jin: Hm?
Jin: …haha, I see
Panel 3
Jin: Ok, ok Jin: Then first to ten wins
Midorikawa: Yaaaay!
Panel 4
Osamu: Thank you very much
Jin: What about it
Jin: An elite with talent is always so popular
Panel 5
Jin: It’s been a while since I’ve fought you, Shun~
Jin: Have you gotten better?
Midorikawa: That’s for you to look forward to when we fight!
Panel 2
Osamu: Alright…
Osamu: Now then
Panel 3
Osamu: Let’s organise the information we gathered
Osamu: First let’s start with what we got from Yuba squad
Yuuma: Roger
Panel 4
Yuuma: We met two of them this time
Yuuma: Yuba-san was quite strong
Panel 1
Yuuma: Unlike watching the logs
Yuuma: He drew his guns too fast for my eyes to follow
Panel 2
Yuuma: There’s no doubt that he’s reducing the range and number of bullets of the trigger Yuuma: To stuff trion into the power and speed of the bullets instead
Power Speed Range
Panel 3
Yuuma: From the start, it seems his way of thinking
Yuuma: Is different from the other gunners’ style of ‘using range to thoroughly wear the opponent down’
Panel 4
Osamu: Satomi-sempai said this
Osamu: ‘In a close-range one-on-one going bang he might win even against Ninomiya-san’ Osamu: About Yuba-san
Panel 5
Osamu: There’s the chance Kuga was beaten this time because Osamu: That situation was Yuba-san’s specialty
Yuuma: That could be true
Panel 1
Yuuma: Because I didn’t even manifest Shield in time
Yuuma: It’s impossible to do something after seeing him
Panel 2
Yuuma: A counter-measure would be Yuuma: Either blocking attacks with thick walls or something and aiming for an opening when bullets run out
Yuuma: Or using Osamu’s wires to slow down the opponent as they chase us…
Usami: We might be able to use Hus-kun’s Escudo too!
Panel 3
Yuuma: And then, of course
Yuuma: I think it’s also important to fight outside Yuba-san’s range
Panel 4
Osamu: Which means Osamu: Me or Hus’s ranged attacks
Osamu: Or going after them with Chika’s Lead Bullet Snipe might be good
Panel 5
Chika: …
Panel 1
Osamu: According to Yuba-san’s logs
Osamu: Sometimes he uses Viper Osamu: Or set up ambushes with Bagworm…
Panel 2
Yuuma: It seems what he uses depends on his opponent
Panel 3
Yuuma: Opponents he can break open and kill with Asteroid
Yuuma: He’ll crush them along with their Shield with a Fullattack
Panel 4
Yuuma: Opponents with high trion and solid defence
Yuuma: He’ll ‘tear them down’ using Viper or ambushes
Panel 5
Yuuma: For Hus and Chika who have high trion Yuuma: It might be better to be on your guard against being ‘torn down’
Hus: Got it
Panel 1
Osamu: What about the other one from Yuba squad?
Panel 2
Yuuma: I only got to see Allrounder Obishima-chan’s Kogetsu
Yuuma: But her movements felt light and her defence was good
Panel 3
Yuuma: In the most recent logs she used Shooter triggers too
Yuuma: But she likely mained Kogetsu originally
Panel 4
Yuuma: Her image is like Nasu squad’s attacker…
Usami: Kuma-chan
Osamu: I see…
Panel 5
Yuuma: It seems she covers for Yuba-san a lot Yuuma: So she’s an opponent we want to take down while she’s alone if we can
Panel 1
Yuuma: This is about all I’ve got on my end
Yuuma: It’s big that I managed to fight Yuba-san directly
Panel 2
Youtarou: Hm hm
Youtarou: What about Osamu’s end?
Panel 3
Osamu: What I heard from Satomi-sempai is…
Panel 5
Hus: …I see Hus: Tactics that specialise in one-on-ones is it
Hus: There were point earning scenes like that in past logs too
Panel 1
Usami: I might have heard of that too
Usami: Ninomiya-san’s Irregular Fullattack
Panel 2
Usami: It’s true that when Ninomiya-san’s the opponent, there’s the impression that everyone Usami: Tries not to make it a one-on-one
Panel 3
Youtarou: If it’s you, can you win in a one-on-one with Ninomiya, Hus?
Hus: I have the advantage when it comes to trion Hus: …but
Panel 4
Hus: When it comes to Ninomiya’s tactic, if I end up on the receiving end even once Hus: I’m afraid even I would be taken down just like that
Panel 5
Youtarou: Hm…?
Youtarou: Why would that happen?
Panel 1
Hus: To block Ninomiya’s two types of bullets
Hus: I would need to use two Shields at once too
Panel 2
Hus: But Hus: While both hands are using Shield Hus: You can’t use attack triggers
Panel 3
Hus: Even if you can defend, you can’t counterattack
Hus: At some point you’ll break down and take damage
Panel 4
Hus: Being able to one-sidedly attack a fortified opponent Hus: Is the reason why Ninomiya’s tactic is so strong
Panel 5
Youtarou: Then
Youtarou: Hus, if you use the same tactic…?
Panel 6
Hus: In that case, I too need to equip bullet triggers in both hands
Hus: And then make the first move…
Panel 1
Hus: But a Fullattack while acting alone
Inukai: An opening
Hus: Has the risk of your defence being wide open
Panel 2
Osamu: …!
Tokieda: A Shooter/Gunner about to go into FullAttack
Tokieda: I think it’s fine to actively aim for
Tokieda: That kind of ‘opponent that wasn’t guarding from the beginning’
Panel 3
Hus: In the previous match too Hus: When the positions of the snipers hadn’t been revealed yet
Hus: Ninomiya kept one hand open and protected himself
Panel 4
Hus: Unless it’s a case of
Hus: ‘A one-on-one between the last two people left’
Panel 5
Hus: Rather than bearing the risk of not guarding to enact Fullattack
Hus: It’s probably more realistic to join up with allies and work together
Panel 1
Hus: The fact that ‘one-on-ones’ with Ninomiya have been decreasing Hus: Supports that
Youtarou: Hrmm
Panel 2
Yuuma: Which means
Panel 3
Yuuma: What Shiori-chan said yesterday
Yuuma: The plan with ‘Chika protecting while Hus shoots’ Yuuma: Is a pretty good one after all
Osamu: It’s true, it is…
Panel 4
Osamu: …
Osamu: But Osamu: If it’s just that…
Panel 5
Youtarou: About that
Youtarou: Chika-chan has something to tell us
Panel 1
Osamu: To tell us…?
Panel 3
Chika: …I Chika: In our next match
Chika: I’m going to shoot normal bullets too
Panel 4
Osamu: …!?
Panel 6
Osamu: Normal bullets…
Osamu: You mean ones that aren’t Lead Bullets…!?
Panel 1
Chika: Yeah
Chika: Though I talked to Shiori-san and Hus-kun too
Panel 2
Hus: If Chika can shoot unadulterated Hounds or Meteoras Hus: We can probably earn points quite easily Hus: And we can win in a shootout against NInomiya too
Panel 3
Hus: Basically the opposite pattern to Shiori’s strategy Hus: Chika will shoot and I will protect
Osamu: …!
Panel 4
Osamu: It’s true…if they can do that
Osamu: We will have a great advantage in firepower
Osamu: But…
Panel 5
Osamu: Chika, you…
Osamu: Can you really shoot?
Panel 2
Chika: …
Panel 3
Chika: …I think I can shoot
Chika: Because I understood Chika: The reason inside me why I couldn’t shoot
Panel 4
Osamu: …
Panel 6
Yuuma: Why not
Panel 1
Yuuma: If Chika thinks she can shoot
Yuuma: I think it’s good to give it a go
Panel 2
Yuuma: The ones who decide is Chika herself
Yuuma: And the captain, Osamu
Osamu: …!
Panel 3
Osamu: The fact that Kuga is saying this
Osamu: Means Chika isn’t lying then…
Panel 4
Chika: …
Panel 5
Osamu: …
Panel 6
Osamu: …got it
Panel7
Osamu: Let’s go with that plan
Osamu: …but
Panel 1
Osamu: The timing of Chika shooting actual bullets
Osamu: Will be decided by me Osamu: You can’t panic and shoot randomly
Panel 2
Chika: …right…!
Panel 3
Yuuma: Supposing you get into a shootout with Ninomiya-san
Yuuma: The role of protecting Chika goes to…
Panel 4
Hus: Considering trion ability
Hus: It’ll probably be me
Panel 5
Hus: But like I said yesterday Hus: There’s the possibility I can’t join up with Chika
Panel 1
Usami: Hmmm, either way, in the end
Usami: We need another ‘option’…
Panel 2
Osamu: …
Panel 3
Osamu: Usami-sempai Osamu: Just for example…
Panel 4
Osamu: In the training room…can we do something like this?
Panel 1
*brrr brrr*
Panel 2
Karasuma: What’s wrong? Osamu
Panel 3
Osamu: Excuse me, Karasuma-sempai
Osamu: I would like you to help our team with something…
Panel 4
Karasuma: …got it
Karasuma: I’m actually going there right now
Panel 2
Karasuma: …and? Karasuma: What do I need to do?
Panel 3
Osamu: We want you to act as a virtual Ninomiya-san Osamu: Karasuma-sempai
Karasuma: Virtual Ninomiya-san…?
Panel 1
Osamu: According to what I heard from Usami-sempai
Osamu: It seems you can even fiddle with trion amount settings in the training room…
Panel 2
Karasuma: So basically Karasuma: Giving me the same trion amount as Ninomiya-san Karasuma: And then fighting you guys?
Torimaru <----- Ninomaru <----- Ninomiya
Osamu: Yes
Panel 3
Karasuma: My speciality isn’t as a Shooter
Karasuma: I’m no match for NInomiya-san’s skills
Panel 4
Osamu: We’ve found several scenes of his Fullattack in the logs Osamu: If you can just copy them…
Usami: You’re very dextrous, Torimaru-kun, so you’ll be fine~
Panel 5
Yuuma: Hus seems like he can act as NInomiya-san too, but…
Hus: Then I wouldn’t be able to train
Panel 6
Karasuma: …I see Karasuma: …wait a moment
Panel 1
Karasuma: …thanks for your hard work
Karasuma: Sorry, can you take my shift for dinner duty today?
Panel 2
Karasuma: Osamu called me to help with their training…
Karasuma: …ask Jin-san? Karasuma: No, it’s hard asking someone above me, right
Karasuma: …eh? Karasuma: Well…that’s true Karasuma: …no, I respect you Karasuma: I do respect you, really Karasuma: I’ll cover for you next time Karasuma: …yes, thank you in advance
Panel 3
Karasuma: …we’ve come to an agreement
Karasuma: It’s OK
Osamu: He was talking to Konami-sempai, definitely…
Panel 5
*machine whirr*
Panel 1
*whoosh*
Karasuma: Now, shall we begin
Panel 2
*rustle*
Osamu: Yes, please!
Panel 3
Jin: …Huh? Jin: Were you on duty today, Konami?
Konami: I swapped for him! Konami: Because I’m nice!
Panel 2
*bang bang bang bang bang bang bang bang*
Panel 3
*bam bam bam bam bam bam bam*
Panel 1
Computer: Combat body active limit reached
*rustle*
Panel 2
Hus: As expected Hus: It’s difficult if he gets the initiative
Yuuma: But you managed to endure it quite well this time
Panel 3
Yuuma: Couldn’t you have made it if you’d managed one more Escudo?
Hus: No Hus: Ninomiya is likely even faster
Panel 4
Karasuma: …I get that these are countermeasures against Ninomiya-san Karasuma: But
Karasuma: Why ‘one-on-one’?
Panel 5
Karasuma: If you want the advantage against Ninomiya-san Karasuma: Shouldn’t your countermeasure be to make it so he can’t ‘use’ Fullattack?
Panel 1
Osamu: …that’s what I thought at first too
Osamu: …but right now my thinking’s changed a little
Panel 2
Osamu: The Fullattack that Ninomiya-san uses in one-on-ones is super strong
Osamu: But on the other hand, you can say it’s also ‘the moment when his guard is sure to be down’
Panel 3
Osamu: In other words Osamu: If we use the one-on-one situation
Osamu: You’re wide open
FIGHT
Osamu: I think we can create a big opening in Ninomiya-san’s defence
Panel 4
Osamu: What I’m having you help us with right now
Panel 1
Osamu: Is training to memorise the timing of making that opening
Panel 2
Osamu: And training to lengthen the one-on-one
Osamu: To prolong the period when Ninomiya-san’s guard is down
Panel 3
Karasuma: …in other words Karasuma: They’re not countermeasures to ‘defend against’ Ninomiya-san’s Fullattack
Karasuma: But to ‘actively make him use it and get him when his guard is down’
Panel 4
Osamu: Yes
Panel 5
Karasuma: I can understand your goal
Karasuma: …but
Panel 6
Karasuma: What will you do if Ninomiya-san does not respond to your invitation to a one-on-one?
Karasuma: There is no reason for the sole no.1 Ninomiya squad Karasuma: To deliberately have a one-on-one shootout with Hus, right
Panel 1
Osamu: ‘Ninomiy squad’ might not
Osamu: But Osamu: I think ‘Ninomiya-san’ will respond
Panel 3
Karasuma: You have something behind that conviction?
Osamu: It’s not really a conviction, but… Osamu: Well…
Panel 4
Yuuma: Torimaru-sempai Yuuma: Do Yuba-san’s fast draw too
Hus: And Ikoma’s Senkuu Hus: You can do it
Karasuma: Don’t ask the impossible
Panel 5
Osamu: …
Osamu: When we met Ninomiya squad at the BBQ place…
Panel 1
Hiyami: To think that she would go on a journey with civilians with that timing
Osamu: The others were calmly accepting
Tsuji: Since she couldn’t go ‘over there’ even if she’s in Border, it can’t be helped, can it?
Osamu: Regarding Hatohara-san
Osamu: And that changed my impression a little
Panel 2
Osamu: What Ninomiya-san did
Ninomiya: Don’t just stand there, sit down
Osamu: Was a more emotional act than I had thought
Panel 3
Ninomiya: There is definitely a mastermind who instigated this idiot
Osamu: Isn’t Ninomiya-san, unexpectedly
Osamu: The type of person who acts more on emotions than reason…?
Panel 4
Yuuma: Humans will fairly often act in ways that go against reason
Yuuma: There are many cases where it’s better to read a person’s personality or habits rather than what’s reasonable
Panel5
Ninomiya: Say that after you’re chosen
Panel 1
Osamu: If the situation becomes a one-on-one with Ninomiya-san
Osamu: Even if there’s a measure of risk he will take up the challenge
Osamu: It will surely develop like that…!
Panel 1
Yuuma: Konami-sempai’s curry is so delicious
*chew chew chew chew*
Konami: Of course~!
Panel 2
Osamu: After dinner we’re continuing working on the countermeasures with Karasuma-sempai’s help
Osamu: Tomorrow is the real deal Osamu: The training based around you and Hus working together, Chika
Chika: …yeah!
Usami: Roger!
Panel 3
Konami: Oh yeah, I’ve been called to do the commentating for the last match
Konami: So make sure your match doesn’t embarrass Tamakoma branch!
Panel 4
Yuuma: Konami-sempai’s commentating…
Karasuma: Will it be okay?
Konami: I’ve done it before, you know!
Panel 5
Osamu: Alright… Osamu: It’s the last spurt
Osamu: Let’s go
Panel 1
And then
March 5th
Panel 2
B Rank Rank Wars
ROUND 8
Panel 3
Evening Division
Panel 4
Final Battle
START
-
Well, we can rule out Miwa squad and Arashiyama squad out of the second commentator spot (though their operators could still be involved). Personally I’m still hoping for Captain Kusakabe, but now that the season is almost over I think she might show up at the Captain’s meeting instead. Currently my bet is Tsukimi, hence why the entire Miwa squad is here. As you can tell, I haven’t read the spoilers so I don’t know yet.

Rookie Fic Rec List
Nice receive!
Curiosity
by museicalitea
"I'm glad you said yes to Sawamura back then."
Unspoken: I'm glad I got to meet you, Shimizu Kiyoko. We're not so dissimilar, huh?
A neat little story where Shimizu and Shirofuku enjoy a quiet, neat conversation together about how they both became volleyball managers if their respective teams. (-Haru).
A Trip to the Zoo
by FantyWrites
Oikawa paused as he was about to take a bite out of his milk bread, “You want us to what now?”
Matsukawa looked to his three friends with his usual neutral expression, “Chaperone a trip to the zoo for my sister.”
Oikawa bit into his favorite snack looking unamused, “So we’re going to be watching over a bunch of babies?”
Or
The seijou third years chaperone a school trip to the zoo. What could possibly go wrong?
The Seijoh third years don't know what they're in for in this fun and bubbly fic! Definitely give this one a read if you're looking for some babysitting sheaningans. (-Oranges)
witches, wild animals and other things inside our castle
by heartattacked
“Hey, ‘Samu,” says Atsumu, nudging the other boy’s elbow. “Do you love me?”
Melancholy, mystery and magic combine in this fic to create an unusual dynamic between prince Atsumu and his not-twin Osamu. Vivid colours saturate a canvas that promises more, and the end of the first chapter is intriguingly enigmatic. Definitely food for thought. Work in progress. (- Kuroi)
The Best Laid Plans of Cats and Owls
by Stacysmash
“We need to hurry, Oikawa should be back within the next half hour. It’s his birthday tomorrow and he’s been down about it.” “Why would he be down about his birthday?!” Bokuto cried. “Because we have an important practice tomorrow night and he can’t go home. Plus, his friends can’t make it up here tonight so we gotta make it really special. Any thoughts?” Simultaneously, Kuroo and Bokuto perked up and began to spit out their ideas, and besides several moments where Daichi slapped his palm against his face, they developed the perfect plan of action.
A fic as bubbly as the friends that populate it. If I had to sum it up in two words - birthday pedicures. Our boy Oikawa deserves a good celebration once in a while, and this is it in spades. I love Kuroo’s mom, everyone needs her in their lives. (- Kuroi)
Meeting Memories
by PsychologicalColors
Shōyō is five when his mother told him he was going to be a big brother.
Natsu is born after Shōyō turns six.
It’s late August and the afternoon has barely begun when Shōyō goes to visit his mother. He’s holding his father’s hand as they walk through the corridor. When she looks up, she smiles at her husband and son and beckons them over quietly.
A super adorable story that will give you cavities from the unfiltered sweetness. Following the Hinata siblings from Natsu’s babyhood to Shouyou joining college, every snippet blossoms with warmth. You just want to be adopted into this big, happy family. (- Kuroi)
Hidden Behind the Ferns
by Grand_Guardian_Deity
A snapshot of Yachi’s life in the big city, and the people she meets there. Reminds me of a Polaroid photo in many ways - spontaneous, pastel-coloured, hinting at more beyond the edges of the picture. The unusual choice of Nishinoya for a childhood friend made for a cute and supportive relationship. (- Kuroi)
what could you be
by mangothief
For a guy who tries to avoid making friends as much as humanly possible, Kyoutani Kentarou has managed to pick up a really weird, really annoying, really loud one.
The rarepair bros I never knew I needed - Tanaka and KyouKen. Packed to bursting with sharp wit and manly but adorable interactions, this isn’t so much a story as an in-depth character study. Kyoutani may be the narrator, but a snarky Yahaba runs away with the show. (- Kuroi)
Liberosis
by shittykawa_chan
n. The desire to care less about things - to loosen up your grip on your life, to stop glancing back behind you every few steps, afraid that someone will snatch it from you before you reach the end zone - rather to hold you life loosely and playfully, like a volleyball, keeping it in the air, with only quick fleeting interventions, bouncing freely in the hands of trusted friends, always in play.
Sometimes you just need someone new in your life to help you let go and change how you want to live.
Oikawa Tooru gets to grips with his new team in university, and maybe makes some friends along the way. A rather wistful Uni AU, with the hope, or challenge, of ever expanding growth for our Grand King setter. (-Lethey)
senior management
by mangothief
During her last year as Datekou's manager, Mai meets Yachi and finally gets the disciple she deserves. Futakuchi’s gonna be so jealous when she tells him.
A cute story about Yachi and Mai, managers of two very rambuctious teams, becomign friends. The best thing about this story, hands down, is the sarcastic internal monologue of Mai, who is Very Done, and I can't really blame her because she has to deal with Futakuchi on a daily basis.(-Lethey)
Roles to Fill
by angeltrumpets
After Karasuno loses the Battle at the Trash Heap, the reality that the third years are going to be leaving becomes more apparent. Yachi in particular is worried about whether she really is ready to be the team's sole manager.
The quiet and supportive moment Hinata and Yachi shares in this piece feels very human and real in it's restraint. And so it provides comfort and closure for the aftermath of its premise. A wonderfully serene read! (-Oranges)
A Brother's Duty
by dayoldcupcake
Natsu is acting weird; that is to say, she doesn't worship Shoyo like she use to.
There aren't enough fics that explore Natsu and Shoyo's relationship. And this one is a lovely little story about Shoyo defending Natsu from her bullies, along with a little help from his friends. If you want something cute and sweet to read, this is definitely the one for you! (-Oranges)
to infinity and beyond
by leafsong
In the wake of Nationals, they train, and train, and train, until even Hinata is too tired to jump anymore.
Hinata and Kageyama will always find ways to move forward, and in leafsong's ‘to infinity and beyond’ the Oni and Oni wonder duo share a moment after losing Nationals. The intensity of the wonder duo can almost be felt in the story, the thirst for improvement nearly tangible. A wonderful short read! (-Oranges)

Who Are the Best 'Bad' Teachers of Anime?
What makes a “bad” teacher? Is it someone who can’t connect to their pupils? Doesn’t understand their subject matter? Or just someone who's super lazy? Depending on who you ask, it all really just might be a matter of perspective — or perhaps a stroke of untapped genius. With so many anime taking place in schools, it’s no surprise that there are just as many colorful teachers as there are students. These sometimes misunderstood classroom superstars might not embody the traditional educator model, but one thing is for certain this Teacher’s Day: They’ve all managed to score an A+ in our heart regardless of their eccentric ways.
All’s Fair in Love and War
Jiraiya and Naruto begin their training
One of the Leaf Village's finest, Naruto’s Jiraiya is a man who needs no introduction. Of the three Sannin, Jiraiya takes our understanding of mentorship to a whole new level. When you think of your favorite teacher, you probably don’t picture their wild side. A proud pervert like Jiraiya certainly doesn’t fit that traditional image — because he’s definitely everything but your typical instructor. Jiraiya, despite being someone you might not want to bring a parent-teacher meeting, doesn’t mess around when it comes to training his pupils into the best shape possible. Business, after all, always comes after pleasure.
Jiraiya offers to teach Naruto his legendary summoning technique
After his legendary encounter with the powerful ninja Hanzō in the Rain Village, Jiraiya was approached with his first pupil: a young boy named Nagato. For Jiraiya, this would spell both the beginning of his teaching life, and many years later, the painful end. Jiraiya, of course, would go on to mentor Minato and his son Naruto during his journey to tame the power of the raging Nine-Tailed Fox inside of him. Of Jiraiya’s many lessons, one of the first remains the most memorable: teaching Naruto his legendary Summoning Technique. But before Naruto can even jump that hurdle, he first must learn his most important lesson yet — the power of concentration, failure, and unending perseverance. Having seen both the best of people and the gruesome realities of war, Jiraiya has shown us what a truly inspirational teacher looks like: someone who never gives up on you and expects the very best, not just on the battlefield, but in your heart.
Hang in there, baby!
"I was fully prepared to die!"
Some teachers are tied up in their careers. Others are tied up in an entirely different way. Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei’s Nozomu Itoshiki is one such hopeless teacher. One spring day he attempts to hang a noose around his neck before one of his students saves the day — forever sealing his high school educator fate. Mister Nozomu is a man with an extremely bleak outlook on life and is almost always ready to kick the bucket on a moment’s notice. Fashioning himself as a realist, Nozomu isn’t too shy to talk down to his kids, nor remind them that death is all coming for us. Nozomu is based on the main character Ōba Yōzō from the classic Osamu Dazai novel No Longer Human, a personal favorite of Zetsubou-Sensei artist Kōji Kumeta. Like Dazai’s character, Nozomu had become so disillusioned with society that he’s taken it upon himself to let the entire world know. Nozomu isn’t exactly a “bad” teacher by trade — but he definitely isn’t espousing the beauties of your high school years, either.
On the first day of class, Nozomu passionately asks his students to fill out "despair surveys"
But what’s a teacher without his students? Nozomu’s colorful class includes students eager to pin animal tails on his behind, a hikikomori, phone addicts, a chronic tsundere, and a radical perfectionist. Even on his best days, Nozomu’s homeroom resembles something like a zoo rather than a proper place of learning. And yet somehow, despite field trips and haywire lessons gone wrong, Nozomu still manages to stick by his students and their wacky ways until the very end. He may in fact, actually be the nihilist saint we need today.
Welcome to the School of Hard Knocks
"...and have fun at Duel Monsters Community College!"
Professor Vellian Crowler of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX fame would like to remind you he has a PhD in dueling and he worked very hard for it, thank you. Among the many faculty members teaching at the prestigious Duel Academy, no other teacher strikes fear into the heart of Obelisk Blue students like Professor Crowler himself. Best known for his brutal Ancient Gear deck, Professor Crowler doesn’t hesitate to go all out during duels to assert the pecking order. Whether he always wins or not, of course, is an entirely different story — especially if your name is Jaden.
Professor Crowlers gives his student a full workout before hitting the duels
To call Professor Crowler unorthodox would be an understatement. In fact, it wouldn’t be too outrageous to call him a bully at his worst behavior. Going so far as to almost sabotage many a student’s Duel Academy career, Crowler has had his truly awful moments. However, toward the end of Jaden’s studies at Duel Academy, Professor Crowler undergoes a much-needed change of heart. Maybe having your spirit possessed by a vampire Shadow Rider does that to you. Or maybe it was when he was spirited away into another dimension and stripped of his winning deck? Or maybe it’s just tough love and good old-fashion character growth. For all his “bad" behavior, Professor Crowler successfully shifted his focus to being a career advisor after being promoted to Duel Academy’s flamboyant vice-principal. Regardless of all the flack he’s given his pupils, Professor Crowler shows unwavering support for their transition into the professional world of dueling. Like every teacher hard on their students, Professor Crowler wants you to believe in your dreams — whether you know it or not. But only if you got enough grit to last.
Making a Heroic Homeroom
"U.A.'s selling point is how unrestricted its school traditions are. That's also how teachers run their classes."
My Hero Academia’s Shota Aizawa, also known by his hero name Eraserhead, is the only teacher on this list for whom “no sleeping in class” doesn’t apply to. Shota doesn’t immediately give off the best impression that he’s interested in his students. Famous for once failing an entire class of hero hopefuls in the past, it almost seems like a cruel joke that anyone would end up with him as their instructor. But don’t let Shota’s seemingly apathetic demeanor fool you — beneath those baggy eyes and, erm, sleeping bag, is a teacher fiercely determined to see the best in his pupils.
Sound advice from U.A.'s best sleeper hit instructor
Shota doesn’t hesitate to tell his students what being a hero is all about, and most importantly, what their weaknesses are. A good teacher — for all the praise and support they give — also needs to find the places where you’ve yet to grow. Although that might be easier said than done when it comes to Class 1-A. Shota is hard because he has to be. Heroism isn’t for the weak-spirited. Even going as far as to defend his student’s decision to fight villains during the disastrous Kamino Incident, Shota’s proven himself as a teacher that would rather see his student thrive beyond the books. In fact, he shines brightest as a teacher outside the classroom. For example, after failing to rescue Eri, a young girl with a mysterious quirk held captive by a crime group, Izuku Midoriya and his peers meet to discuss their next plan of action. Rightfully disappointed, Izuku is practically at a loss of what to do, until Shota gives him these words of encouragement: "If you're going to do this, do this properly, Midoriya." Shota isn’t just raising heroes strong enough to work for agencies or save the day for views. Like the greatest “bad” teachers that ever were, Shota teaches us that in order to learn our hardest lessons we must be ready to get hurt and stand right back up again.
Did we miss out any of your favorite "bad" teachers? What's the greatest lesson you've ever learned in an anime classroom? Let us know in the comments!

do you think hyuse can/will replace osamu? because they seem to have similar thinking and hyuse is a fighter
To be honest, this possibility never even entered my mind ^^; Narratively, it doesn’t seem like the story is building towards anything like a replacement arc, so I never considered the possibility.
Character role-wise, there is no way Hus can be a replacement for Osamu. Osamu’s role is to be the weak character who must use something other than talent or power to win. This is pretty much the opposite of Hus who has been training as a fighter for most of his life and has a boost to his trion thanks to his horns. In many ways, Hus is a bit of a foil for Osamu in how he has many of the things that Osamu doesn’t.
Relationship-wise, Osamu is an Earthling, one of the civilians Border is supposed to protect even if he refused to stay a civilian. Hus, once again contrasting Osamu, is introduced as Border’s enemy, and even as he now allies with them he still makes sure to impress on them how easily he will betray them if he considers it necessary.
Of the simiilar styles of thinking, so far there are two major ones:
In ch102 vol12, both Osamu and Hus has the same idea of having Chika destroy the bridge. But as Hus says in ch104 of the same volume, the intent and timing is completely different and actually serves as a point of contrast. Hus’s idea is to destroy the bridge in the early stages to meet up as soon as possible and support Yuuma getting points, while Osamu’s plan is to destroy the bridge in the endgame after Kuruma and Nasu had worn each other down so he could try to take them down himself.
The other major one is in ch169 vol19, where Osamu thinks about how something needs to be done about the lights going on and off and a few panels later Hus is convincing Yuuma that it’s not a problem that they went the long way round just to deal with Taichi. However, I do feel this one is a bit weak, just because ‘dealing with whoever’s controlling the lights first’ is such a common way of thinking that Kageura squad already attempted it before we even get to Osamu and Hus and the fact that Taichi had Escudo set up beforehand suggests that Suzunari is also well aware of this. When so many characters came up with the same thing, is it still an example of similiarity between Hus and Osamu?
Finally, you mention Hus being a fighter, except Osamu is also a fighter - he’s just not as skilled or experienced (or powerful) as Hus. But despite that, we’ve seen Osamu do more than his fair share in the matches up to now, and I do not see why the narrative would work so hard to present the merits of a 4-man team if they’re going to take Osamu off it and reduce it to a 3-man team again.
In conclusion, Hus and Osamu embody such different characters, have such different roles in the story, such different skillsets and jobs on the team, I don’t see how Hus can act as a replacement for Osamu. If we do get an arc about Hus being on the team while Osamu isn’t, I have a feeling the story will focus on other aspects and not Hus taking over Osamu’s role and duties.
And while I’m answering questions about Hus:
Kageura explained in ch163 vol19 that he doesn’t feel Yuuma or Azuma with his Side Effect because they kill all emotion when attacking:
'But this guy doesn’t have that. He’s like a robot or a bug, that’show little I can read his feelings when attacking. Erasing his feelings that muchwhen he attacks, only someone like that geezerAzuma can do that.’
Since Azuma is the only other person Kageura met who does this, I feel it’s probably not due to experience since Hus has been training for far longer than Azuma (unless Azuma’s past is even more crazy than we all thought, which is always possible with World Trigger). Instead, this suggests to me that Hus just doesn’t kill all emotion when he attacks the way Yuuma and Azuma does. Hus is a pretty emotional person, even when he fights, so it doesn’t feel that weird to me.
