#dragon age tag #i doubt that will see much use again..but who knows. vvv rambling below #weird game..the characters dialogue stuff and ending were good tho :')#i've played some of the first game but it kept crashing. i knew already despite knowing nothing that this guy was going to be my type #it doesnt feel right making video game art any more bc games like this end up feeling really personal - an experience that happened to me #if i design the main character a bit and fall in love then..that happened to me..i can't make Fan Art of that..only ive been through that..#like i cant make fanart of my dear companions in bg3 despite it having been a huge part of my heart in the last year #almost 1000 hours of playtime in something i can barely talk about bc it means too much.... lol #tons of ideas and conversations and extra thoughts and scenes and emotions about all the incredible times i've been through in bg3 #and the maelstrom just rotates around intensely in my own heart forever...but that's ok too...that is so precious to me #but fortunately i already knew people that have played this game and talked/drew abt it recently so it was saved from that for me #sharing scribbly fanart on my Blog is a way to capture the feeling just after experiencing something so it has good points #witch hat atelier escapes that by not being a GAME. games are so immersive. but my wha art & feelings are incredibly immersive too #which makes it difficult sometimes now. i live a complicated and emotional life <3 i am not suited to fandom <3 #my character ended up looking so much like oru without me realising that's what i was doing. #Riolu #Doodle #The Mod #Do not use my sona thanks #Just wanted to give a silly doodle while I ramble #I admittedly made the last few daily pieces as basically a progression of my eyes for the last ~1.5 years #Keeping up with everything became harder because of my eyes #I only talked about this briefly on my main twitter #I was diagnosed with keratoconus #My eyes got worse over time #so I was squinting constantly and would get headaches trying to focus my eyes to draw or play half the games I did #it sucked. I slept a lot to get rid of pain and I felt like I couldnt do my normal work so it kept piling #I had surgery + got RGP Contacts to help me see normally this year tho!#So I can finally get my shit together and have been slowly trying to get everything going/sorted #Just to like... explain where I disappeared to #Ofc Its hard to do anything art or reading without my contacts in #tbh i didnt even know until December lol so it went for awhile and thought my prescription went from good to shit #so i took a minor break from social media to keep where my eyes used online to mainly discord

So, I just completed part 1 of AAI2-5 (and good lord, it took me 3 hours, I didn't think it would take this long!). And during the Mind Chess with Eustace / Sebastian (protecc this poor boy omg 😭), I came across this conversation between Miles and him, and the little difference with how he calls Phoenix is interesting between french and english.

Little side notes : English name = French name Miles Edgeworth = Benjamin Hunter Eustace Winner / Sebastian Debeste = Eustache Victor

[French translation]

If (as I think) it's about Phoenix here, well this is not the first time in the french version where he talks about him so highly compare to the english version sometimes. There was another moment (during AAI2-2 iirc) where he calls him "a renowned / illustrious defense attorney" in french. HMMMM (≖_≖ )

still kind of shocked about how quickly my hype for Genshin's Natlan region faded like I never expected something like this to happen this fast...

#ask #anon #hi anon. sorry that i used this opportunity to talk about the sims 2 console port #ive had this template made and didn't use it for much besides a few jokes to send to friends #but i think it's on par for Gelato to be this knowledgeable about one of his favourite games.#but yeah basically i grew up with the xbox version of Sims 2 and since the xbox was my brothers console. i didnt get to play it a whole lot #and years later i bought the sims 2 on PS2 and noticed a lot of slowdown on actions and stuff #and the golden bolt (i think thats their youtube name) did a video about the console ports of sims 1 & 2 games #and i was kinda confused hearing them talk about how the sims 2 only had one save file (on PS2) because the xbox version had like eight #and so that. paired with me looking through the cutting room floor page of the sims 2 #i was kinda curious to see if the xbox version really performed as bad as it does on the ps2 version #because the golden bolt was also talking about that in their coverage of the ports #and so like again. there's only two videos on youtube that I could find of the xbox version #and the ones uploaded by IGN run on the ps2 version. because of the fucking button prompts they show on screen #anyway. so like thankfully one of the only other xbox videos showcased making a sim. and it's. so much fucking faster than the ps2 version #like on the ps2 version. you'd select a hairstyle. wait 5-10 seconds. and then the hair changes and you get the ui element to customize it #press cancel and you wait 5-10 seconds to revert back to your previous hairstyle #on the xbox version though? it's so much fucking faster #i haven't checked gameplay of the gamecube version but ik that speedrunners use specifically just that version of the port?#im not sure why only because i havent done the research to check what's better about the gamecube version #granted. i have to get around to getting an original xbox controller at some point to prove it for myself that the xbox port runs the best #i know it probably wont be perfect due to the disk having a few scratches. but its gotta beat my ps2 copy #im also curious to see how many save files i used. because im almost certain i used like 6-7 of them #just because i kept creating new story modes with almost identical alien sims with mohawks #in my last playthrough. i think i broke that tradition and gave my sim a flatter haircut. i also forget if i made him an alien or not.#i havent played it in a year due to getting my computer and it taking up the space i used for my crt setup #anyway. hi anon. sorry about that. im happy you like Gelato :)#i genuinely love him so much ever since Helper sketched him up. like she absolutely nailed it. literally couldn't ask for anything better #and writing up stuff for him has honestly made me love him so much more #thank you for the ask anon!! :)

I finally finished Bugsnax

#I know Grumpus Bean has a unique tag but I don't remember what it is and I think I was gonna change their last name #so new tag time #OC: Bean (grumpus)#that'll do for now #but yes I am like three years late #mainly bc my old pc lagged to all hell and then I never redownloaded it on my new one until like yesterday #well I actually had to repurchase it for steam bc I was not gonna get that epic games launcher just for bugsnax but no big #although for some reason the game still lags but only when I am in snaxburg so the last quest was extra stressful! fighting a hoard at 2fps #I did know what was gonna happen bc I'd watched the ending #but still! it's a different experience to actually play than just watching someone who is also talking over most of it #and they didn't do most of the sidequests nor any of the DLC (tho I watched it before the DLC so they could not have ljksdgfkj)#so that was all new to me!!!#there's so many fuckin quests but I did them all!!!#except like two of them and catching that fast little coffee bastard #I will probably return to do that but for now I have to draw or I will explode #we will return to PT things but don't mind if I have snax on the brain for a bit #I have some funny moments I want to draw
