It was actually your decision to keep the relationship a secret. 

You weren’t ashamed of him nor were you embarrassed to be seen with him. You loved Remus Lupin in a way you didn’t think was possible to love somebody. You hid your relationship because of your family. 

You were from a pureblood family with a very cold and strict upbringing. You were taught how to walk, talk and act like a lady. You were taught to achieve your education with the highest marks. You were taught that by the time you left school, the arrangement for your marriage would be sorted and that would be your life. You were taught how to run a household, how to plan dinner parties and be the perfect, docile, pureblood wife. 

Nothing could have prepared you for the charming werewolf who swept you off your feet. 

You fought your feelings for a very long time, determined that they were a simple phase or distraction that would pass in all due time. But Remus Lupin had stolen your heart and you didn’t ever want it back. 

However, not even a few days after you had come to realise your feelings for the Gryffindor, you had watched an older student—a fellow Slytherin you remembered from dinner parties with other families—be ostracised and shunned from her family over the love she shared with a Ravenclaw boy.

You knew, deep down, that the traditions and beliefs of your family were no longer the norm, and maybe not totally right either. But they were all you knew, they were all you have and the idea of losing them scared you. But you loved Remus—you really did and you weren’t ready to let him go. 

Remus respected it. He knew you needed time and he knew how you felt about him. He didn’t mind sneaking around and late night rendezvous if it meant he was with you.

“What’s wrong?” 

He had noticed all day that you had been acting off and it killed him inside knowing that he couldn’t approach you, that he couldn’t give you the comfort you needed as soon as he picked up on your mood. He had been itching to see you but he knew he had to wait until after curfew. 

Now, here you were, sitting on the couch of the small room that had formed (thanks to the Room of Requirements for you both) with glossy eyes and a letter in your hand. 

“My parents wrote to me,” was all you had to say and Remus was by your side, pulling your body against his until you curled into his side. Your hands gripped his sweater in tight fists, scared that he would disappear and you’d be left alone. 

“Shhh, honey, I’ve got you,” he whispered against the top of your head when he felt you fighting back your sobs. He pressed a kiss to the crown of your head and you broke as you shoved the letter in his hands, nuzzling your gaze against his chest as your body racked with sobs. 

Remus’ eyes glazed over the letter but it was more than enough. And one word stood out the most.

Betrothal. 

Your parents had settled the arrangement of your marriage. They had found you a husband and hadn’t even bothered consulting you on it. Your wedding was set to be after you graduated from Hogwarts this June. 

There were a million different thoughts racing through his head but one was louder than the others: he was going to lose you, he was going to lose the love of his life. 

“Remus, I—” you let out a shaky breath, staring up at him with tears streaming down your face. “I can’t…I can’t—”

He was so used to seeing you so composed and proper. He was so used to seeing you clamp down any feelings until you knew you were in a safe place to show them, usually when you were alone and able to sort through them. He had never once seen you so distressed or distraught. 

“You’re not going to,” Remus whispered to you. 

But you shook your head. “There’s nothing we can do—”

“There’s always something, darling,” he told you as his warm palm engulfed your cheek, guiding your head up so you were looking at him. His thumb gently swiped away your tears, his lips twitching as you leaned into his touch. “You’re not gonna marry him, I promise.” 

“What are we gonna do?” you whispered, sounding so small and broken. It sounded nothing like you and he hated it. He hated that they made you feel like this.

“I don’t know yet,” he murmured honestly, but the determination was evident in his voice. “But I’ll marry you the day before myself if it means they can’t force you into marrying some snobby bastard. I’m not gonna let them take you away from me, love.” 

Your eyes softened as you turned your head to press a soft kiss against his palm. “I’d marry you in a heartbeat, Remus Lupin.”

His chest tightened. “Don’t go making me propose, darling. I’m a man with little self-control.” 

But you just smiled at him, resting your head back down on his chest and tightening your arms around his torso. “Fine by me, Lupin.”

actually the hospital wing joke is starting to bother me a lot more because buck actually fucking died 😭and he didnt even change clothes from being at the hospital all day why would you say that to someone. ik it was a fakeout but bobby looked like he was fr coding on the table. and like just a couple weeks before chimney almost died?? like im sorry i only accept those kinda jokes from people who have known me for years and even then they can be a little upsetting.

thats the thing though!!!! id be perfectly fine with buck and tommy if they gave us more than actual crumbs. 709 felt like buck had more chemistry with ravi in the same scene that tommy was in! they’re supposed to be dating so why do they feel like colleagues? and why are the more emotional and vulnerable scenes getting given to EDDIE if they want me to support buck and tommy as a couple? why wasnt tommy at the hospital with them considering he’s said multiple times he wishes he had a family like the 118 does? why are the only times hes on screen now only establishing his jealousy and that gerrard exists? is that the only reason why hes still here?

actually i wanna get back to 706. it wouldve been so easy to keep tommy there but they wrote him out of most of the episode 😭 he couldve said for the bachelor party! he couldve helped them find chimney! he couldve done literally ANYTHING. chimney was confused as hell as to why he even showed up at the wedding at all 😭 but no!!! they had him show up, ignore what buck wanted, then leave so we could have buck and eddie performing their drunk mating rituals or whatever 🤸‍♂️ but yeah buddie who?

also im never letting go of the wedding singer comment btw because what was that. why did they make tommy reference a movie where the two leads in the ROMANTIC COMEDY start the story dating the wrong people. i feel insane about it actually. also him calling buck evan will forever confuse me until we get an actual acknowledgement in canon because literally why

and the humor falls so flat but eddie has the same type of humor and it never does. he was making fun of buck in 706 (the making chimneys wedding about him line) but it never actually felt serious to me?

Yes totally get that like I’m the same like me and my best friend will be saying downright horrendous trauma jokes to eachother that make people around us clutch their pearls but I feel like it takes a certain level of rapport to get to trauma joke level - ig not everyone is the same when it comes to that but I think that again the writers absolutely failed to give us enough bucktommy scenes that justify having this kinda line

It was around midnight by the time most of the wedding guests finally left the castle.

The event had gotten way out of hand and everyone was suffering.

It was fun at first but everybody had well overestimated their limits. The combination of alcohol and too much food left practically all the guests drunk and sick.

Everyone regretted their choices and knew they would regret it even more by tomorrow morning.

From the hallway outside the dining room, Baldwin V had been watching the entire event unfold through the crack in the door, confused and worried for the usually very professional and uptight adults.

He had never seen them act like this before, it was both amusing and concerning.

Stifling giggles he watched them bicker with each other all while groaning in pain from developing headaches.

His mother sat beside her brother, rubbing her temples while removing the shoes that had been vastly impractical for the occasion. Her feet were in agony from standing for so long.

Beside her, Baldwin, her brother, was exhausted from the long day.

The event had been strenuous on his sick body and what did not help was too much alcohol and rich food. Sybila had warned her brother to not overdo it with the wine, she knew his limits better than he did and whenever there was an event he always ended up thinking that he could take more than he could.

He tried not to move too much, the combination of headache, sore stomach and aching body made any movement too much to bear.

While all this went on, Guy (who the child hated immensely) pestered Sybila about how much he yearned for her.

She pushed him off, telling him to go away but he continued. He was getting on everyone's nerves, especially Sybila’s. He paced around the room, drunkenly attempting to seduce any maid he came across and failing horribly.

Eventually, the king yelled for him to leave as he was annoying everybody that he spoke to.

Finally, Guy begrudgingly left to go bother somebody else.

Amongst the all people left in the dining room were Tiberias and Balian, who the child knew as his uncle's friends. They were the most drunk of the group.

Their usually stern, professional personalities were replaced with happy, drunken laughter.

The two joked with each other, every sentence adding onto whatever they were laughing about until they couldn't get any words out. They looked like they were having the most fun out of everyone left.

Maids and servants bustled about the room, cleaning up the table and doing their best to ignore their superiors.

The child barely noticed Godfrey sitting towards the end of the table, as far away from everyone as he could get looking incredibly pale and drained from energy.

The leftover guests spoke with the king and Syblia, completely ignoring him, and he didn't seem too angry about it, more lucky to be finally left alone.

The boy watched the adults for a little while longer before leaving to do something else, feeling excited that since his mother was “preoccupied”, she would not be paying attention to the time he went to bed.

We had this brainrot going on that in one AU Wiosna and Kurt get married and Aon (@ouroboros-hideout OC) would gift Wiosna a knife as a wedding gift AND BORO DECIDED TO MAKE IT REAL?! So these are pictures of Shooting Star the most beautiful knife I have ever seen (one day I will be rich and commission it irl out of metal) that was dedicated to Wiosna by Aon 😭💜 I can't even express how impressed I am by the amount of thoughtfulness put into this design! Boro even wrote a note "from Aon" that explains it (I will drop it below!) and Rev even paid attention to such a small detail like me saying that purple is Wiosna's color 💜 AND THE LITTLE LYNX LOGO THAT IS AON'S ANIMAL!!! Here's Aon describing it:

BUT. i 10000% in my soul KNOW that buck would absolutely not touch that man with a ten foot pole if he knew how he’d participated in the treatment of hen + chim when he was at the 118

which leads to two options as to how the narrative could have their relationship in the first place

1: tommy’s bigotry has been forgiven by the narrative off-screen and will never be addressed again (this is the most likely unfortunately) (especially with the bachelor party comment about knowing chimney longer + chim calling him for the backup from his team)

2: buck has no idea how tommy acted back then (no one told him?) (when he finds out it’s bones SOOO fast)

(i thought there might be a third option but i feel like anything i said could fit under the category of 1 or 2 but lmk!)

okay not to be a defender. but we’re forgetting marisol when it comes to worst chemistry i think 😔

and yeah it seems like hen and chim forgive him i guess??? idk if you’re talking about chimney calling him in s7 or way back in s2 when that whole neighborhood was going up in flames but idk. or at least they tolerated him 😭 i remembered the comment to hen like “i havent gotten your christmas cards” and how chimney didnt INVITE HIM TO THE WEDDING. AND DIDNT GIVE A SHIT AB HIM BEING IN THE HOSPITAL 😭 LIKE HELLO??? they also showed him being friendly with them in bobby begins again but hey we also know the 118 didnt become a family until after he left and buck showed up

i think it leans more toward 2 though? or a mix of the both? with the way they have tommy phrase things to buck about gerrard im assuming he doesn’t know tbh. not to make buck sound like a White Savior tm or anything but i REALLY doubt he’d let that shit fly 😭 and i feel like the way they wrote him in 7b as a mouthpiece to remind us of gerrard’s existence and little else is pointing the narrative in a specific direction. they keep pointing out their connection and tommy’s history so it has to go somewhere right?

something about the scene in 709 keeps fucking with me and i havent seen anyone point it out. he doesnt say SHIT to gerrard. we know tommy to be a pretty blunt character so why the hell didnt he? ik it was chimney’s moment there to clap back (and no he wasnt defending tommy he was defending himself) but he still could’ve said something too to show how different he is and they didnt do that. also they deleted his scene with hen for some reason. were they trying to show he’s still complicit or was it lazy writing?

the other thing is is that gerrard is fucking cooked 😭 like you’re telling me that the firehouse with the catchphrase “who cares” would give a fuck about that bag of bones. and arguably the only person who could be theoretically a part of gerrard’s Old Guard is both bisexual and the mf that wont shut up 😭

ultimately i want the gerrard shit to be about hen and chimney getting their comeuppance (and also eddie beating gerrard with his fists idc) but it feels like something related to gerrard might be what causes tommy tombstone tbh. like i could see tommy telling buck to lay low or whatever and buck is immediately like fuck that or something. otherwise tho i want the storyline to focus on other characters

Yeah they are super underrated, I do have a thoughts on them too!

Yasuda 

She's very good at baking, while in school she would make Mitsuya treats often (Pah and Peh usually tried to steal some from her).

She still calls Mitsuya "prez" even into adulthood, she just can't help it.

Yasuda was also close to Mana and Luna, she was often the one babysitting them when their mother was working and Mitsuya was attending toman meetings and fights.

Her and Peh confessed to each other mid bickering 

She actually doesn't remember when she fell in love with Peh, it happened slowly, over time.

When she first met Hakkai it was the awkwardest meeting ever. Yasuda was intimidated by how big and scary he looked and Hakkai was intimidated because she's a girl. They both remained silent, refusing to look at each other until Mitsuya intervened. 

The reason Yasuda was so passionate about her club and craft is because her grandmother taught her to sew and she wants to share how fun and useful her craft is with others.

The first time she sees Ran she thinks his hairstyle is ridiculous for a delinquent.

Yasuda is actually a very fast runner 

She hand sews all of Peh and her friend's birthday presents.

At least once she heard there was a delinquent in the school who wanted to see Mitsuya and went to go yell at them (assuming it was Peh or one of his friends again). Instead she started yelling at some random guy who was actually there to beat Mitsuya up and he was so baffled he just left.  

She has a history with delinquent's and used to get bullied by a group of them when she was younger.

Actually gets along with Draken though, despite his appearance she found him to be a generally nice guy. (She teams up with him and Hakkai to throw Mitsuya's birthday parties). 

Yumi

Yumi's also a very touch heavy person when speaking to people, she'll touch people's arms and hands a lot while talking (this nearly made Hakkai faint when they first met).

When she met a lot of the others she ended up telling them the story of how her and Pah met. This ended in most of the guys having competitions where the loser had to put their pants on their head.

Ok idk why but she gives me kinda counsellor vibes, maybe for kids too so i think she'd work either as a kids counsellor or some kind of position in a school or maybe even social services.

She just seems like a very kind and chill person who wants to help kids who find things difficult (like how she, Pah and Peh did).

However under all that kindness she also has an incredibly chaotic side. Like that's the reason she wasn't phased by anything at her wedding because she's more chaotic then anything the others could've done.

She couldn't attend Hina's and Takemichi's wedding because she was sick at the time. Like Emma she was also pregnant but was further along/ having a more difficult pregnancy and had to stay home. She felt bad but Hina and Takemichi understood and she made Pah promise to get her plenty of photos.

She loves sweets, has a total sweet tooth!

She slowly started to change from bully to friend because of influence from Pah and Peh.

Pah felt so guilty after stabbing Osanai that he wrote Yumi a letter telling her to never talk to him again and to just forget about him. And finally Yumi and Yasuda were kind of forced into becoming best friends because of how often their husband's would take them to double dates and spend time with each other. It's ok though because they generally do enjoy each other's company and care a lot about each other.

oh no nonnie i’m sure you’re not stupid 😭 i just wrote the article in a more formal english so maybe that’s why its a little harder to get in one go but no worries, i’ll explain here again! so basically the article is mostly revealing iris’ mysterious past and her actions, namely:

her mom’s backstory: her mom used to be kiyoomi’s mom’s PA and were even close friends before she ‘suddenly’ resigned and moved to inarizaki (she left bcos she felt betrayed that kiyoomi’s mom slept with the king when it was obvious she liked him) → upon moving to inarizaki, she pledged loyalty and devotion to the queen + became close to her too → disappeared and didn’t attend the king’s funeral which they found weird since she was ‘close’ to them → was found imprisoned overseas shortly after the king’s death for murder (though it was never publicized who she murdered)

iris’ ‘scandals’: photos of her joining parties where illegal activities happened (smoking drugs, etc) were leaked, a background not fitting for a princess → more leaked photos of her being a bad influence to suna by dragging him to those said parties when they were teens (again, as a prince, he shouldn’t have been there but iris forced him) → her secret wedding to omi (royal marriages should be held and celebrated in public, so this begs the question why they were suddenly married overnight) → the cheating scandal of her and rin while yn and omi were in itachiyama proven to be true → judging by iris’ past of having a criminal mother, her marriage to omi that was held secretly, and her being a clear bad influence and cheating on her husband, the article questions whether she’s worthy to still be a Princess. everything mentioned above rules out that she shouldn’t stay (or be in the royal family in the first place.)

spare north to the future christmas/holiday headcanons? or i guess if you wrote them they would be canon? anyway here are mine, in the order of character appearance ❤️ hope you like them

when it's just her and appletini, jen makes paper snowflakes at the vet's and puts them up everywhere. she'll give a bottle of non alcoholic mulled wine to appletini, who'd have nothing to give back to jen (she is brainrotting thinking about aegon, obviously). embarrassing.

appletini tries, maybe succeeds in dragging aegon to her folks' house for christmas dinner. if he does decide to come, she'll definitely do that thing where she pats him down before entering the house with him and of course, brushing that lock of hair behind his ear. can't have that escapee getting out in front of her parents, so inappropriate!

aegon probably spends his last bucks buying something small but personal for sunfyre and appletini, then in the evening goes to ursa minor to beg for dale to put another ten rum and cokes on the tab "in the spirit of the holiday". sings christmas carols at the bar and sounds heavenly even when he's drunk. he also loves to make snow angels. fight me.

sunfyre is just happy to run around the snow and tries to eat it, hopefully no bears steal his full course meal! also if there is wrapping paper, he will tear it to pieces. keep him away from the christmas tree. (of course, everyone will forgive him once he curls up at their feet)

heather does the MOST with her christmas outfit and makeup, full mariah carey, holly jolly queen. she would love to hang out the whole night with the girl troupe at the bar but kind of understands that not everyone wants to get wasted on christmas. but she still makes the biggest effort to get everyone together bc she loves her girlies.

appletini's parents spend the whole day preparing christmas dinner together, placing mistletoes at convenient places for aegon and appletini to stumble under, making calls to neighbors to wish them a merry christmas. appletini's mom and dad also reminisce about how they fell in love and gossip about the two lovebirds.

joyce is eagerly awaiting new books for christmas, so eagerly in fact that she just buys one herself. she may not necessarily even read it right away, she just needed one to feel alive. goes with the current, doesn't care about any specific plans as long as she has her book. secretly likes the magical feeling of christmas and excepts something special to happen, though it may never!

kimberly got presents for everyone. she gives me rich girl vibes. definitely gave appletini some slutty clothing to slut that girl up slutty, saying the present was "really for aegon". probably got joyce something gothy like a skull shaped candle and some necklace/bracelet for heather with text that says "slut xoxo"

trent wears a christmas hat for the entire day and looks like an actual big elf. he gives appletini bacardi breezers for christmas without realizing that she would not indeed down them all that second and that they'd rot in the fridge until the end of january. he also buys a few drinks for aegon bc well, they are bros. the two also play patty cake while sitting on barstools and dont ask me how that ends up

the ice fisher is ice fishing, because, well, um, it's christmas. no murder allowed!

THIS IS SO CUTE!!!!!!!! and are you sure you don't live in Juneau, Alaska in 1999 because I swear it's like you know these characters and party with them at Ursa Minor 3-4 nights per week 😂😂

Literally I have no idea how I wrote this LMFAO it was so out of pocket for me. I had just started writing on tumblr for marvel and taking in requests for angst prompts from this list I created.

Cheating/affair fics are tropes I seldom write but with the two prompts I was given, I just couldn't think of a better scenario.

I like to think that in this universe, Wanda is experiencing compulsory heterosexuality. Sure, things with Vision can be great, but they're so on and off and it's because Wanda wants to be with reader but feels so much fear about making things official with them.

It's crazy obvious that Wanda loves them because hello?? She literally ran off from her wedding to go find reader. Homegirl didn't even stop to change from her wedding dress!

The only scene I could really relate to was the dancing scene between Wanda and reader. I once danced with a girl in university at some stupid school hosted halloween party. I had a huge, horrifyingly big crush on her 😭 We shared some general science course and became friends. I never said anything or did anything fruity towards her because she was a really good friend and I didn't wanna make things awkward. Anyways, she started going on tinder dates and then we had this dance while we were drunk and all I could think about was my stomach sinking because she had a pretty good date the day before and her hand was soft and warm and !! yeah LMAO

some abby/magnus thoughts i've been having:

after their little anniversary dinner party is over, they help the skeletons clean up a bit. and after they go up to their rooms, abigail apologizes for magnus again for forgetting their anniversary, and magnus tells her it's okay, they're in a new place and he knows how occupied she has been with the keys and everything. they end up doing their wedding dance after magnus asks abigail if she remembers it

in a modern au of some sort, the teens show them memes/vines/tiktoks and they both stand very puzzled trying to understand what's going on

magnus winning in a duel (i know that's lowkey unrealistic) but getting hurt (nothing bad, a cut on his shoulder) and abigail helping him clean up the wound and bandaging it

since abigail studied in other houses too, i wanna know if she was criticized by the people working with her for marrying magnus. heck i just wanna see her studying and working in other planets, abigail's work as an historian/necrmancer is really interesting to me

magnus going with her to scholars/historians event and stuff and yeah he doesn't really understand what's going on but he has read all of abby's books/articles and he does his best to get acquainted with all the important people there prior to the event

and abby never runs off or disappears on him, she introduces magnus to every single person, and explains him whatever he wants to know. they're the definition of a wholesome married couple 😭😭

he gave a rundown for all the songs from hbw, here’s a very accurate summary 🤪 i’ll put my #memories under the read more, so really all i can recall from watching it once yesterday so not the complete thing but therefore probably the most important bits: 

he gave a disclaimer at the beginning, saying there’s a story and those songs tie together, other songs are not from his pov, could be from his friends’ or about smth that was said and he wrote it down etc

heartbreak weather: he had just moved to la so “it can be so lonely in this city” is about that, he talked about going to a lot of parties and pubs back then and that the line “sleepwalk livin” ties into that. the verses are about smth that happened in san jose when the relationship started, they were watching a bruno mars special in a hotel room

black and white: he just repeated what he already said before about being excited and in love and wanting to marry that person right away, “u fall hard and quick”, he talked about the imagery of a black suit and a white dress at a wedding, “it’s out now !”

dear patience: again, already talked about it; it’s about talking to himself and saying “hold on a sec man hold on-”, like a speedbump after the first two songs 

bend the rules: a song about doubts u might have at the beginning of a relationship, not factual for the storyline 

small talk: smth that happened after the relationship ended and then he....talked about eating candy? JDHSGSD i don’t even know, he tried so hard to not talk about s e x, he was like “i went thru a breakup and even tho i NEVER had a sweet tooth i suddenly craved chocolate” 😭

ntmy: we heard him tell this story a million times 

he skipped pallom but came back later when he realized but i missed it all bc i was freaking out over no judgement but honestly u heard that a million times as well, i think he talked about the shadow lyric in tmta 

arms of a stranger: skipped it as well and came back later to talk about dreaming the 2nd verse 

everywhere: it’s about when u break up with someone and u think u see that person everywhere afterwards, “in my case i WAS seeing that person everywhere”, he almost stopped and walked up to a person at the train station once bc he thought it was them 

cross ur mind: he put a lot of respect and LOVE on this song (he said he really loved writing it and talked a lot about the process), the chorus came first but it makes the least sense in the song? the lyrics are VERY personal and relate to smth (“if u don’t come back tomorrow at least u came tonight - all very personal stuff” 📝)

new angel: “i could’ve said ‘new person’ but the angel thing has a background story”, it’s about getting over the past relationship and about smth dark...

san fran: it is not about san francisco, but “san jose” didn’t rhyme as well. it’s about longing to go back to the start after all that heartbreak, reference to the first song (the beginning of the album/story)

still: he wrote it in 15 min, it’s self-explanatory (he deadass told the same story as harry did for falling but no comment) 

dress: he spotted a dress of his ex in his closet and it was the one that person was wearing in a picture of them two they had as their phone background pic and then he was like “ugh what do i do with this”, he also sang the song and deadass forgot the lyrics SDJGNDSKM
