ok ok ok your sub! john drabbles actually gave me the best idea. tattoo artist x john wick
tattoo artist reader is there to comfort him and make sure heâs okay and doesnât pass out esp if itâs his first tattoo.
also writing this made me remember a fic i read thatâs not finished but breaks my heart
https://archiveofourown.org/works/21060659/chapters/50100092 if you want to read đ¤
Thank you so much for this ask!! I've been thinking about this idea for a while actually. There was another ask about this a long time ago, maybe on my JohnWickCaretaker blog? I can't find that one, but if that was also you, then thanks a second time. Also, yaaaaay, fic recommendation! đ¤
John Wick x Tattoo Artist Reader (Gender Neutral)
Author's Note: John is a little younger in this one (Iâm picturing him being 18-19), so heâs not as mature. Heâs even more shy and gets defensive more easily. Also, I'm not a tattoo artist, and haven't gotten any tattoos, so this is just based on what I've read about it!
CW: forced to get a tattoo, tattoo needle, crying, reader swears frequently, bittersweet ending

âYou have time for a walk-in?â
You didnât even hear this guy open the door. Once youâre done being startled, you noticeâŚhim. Youâre not supposed to let yourself think this way about clients, but shit, heâs cute. He looks soft. Mostly clean shaven, with a thin, elegant face (maybe itâs the high cheekbones), topped off with a mop of dark hair. And probably inexperienced, based on how nervous he looks. A little part of you wonders how this is going to go for him. âYouâre in luck. Whatâs your name?â
No answer.
âCan I see an ID?â
He hesitates awkwardly. âIâm coming from Mrs. Petrov.â
Oh. So heâs one of these. You doubt thatâs her real name, but Mrs. Petrov sailed into your shop one day offering to double the usual price if youâd keep quiet and ask no questions, and you sure need the money. Your skin is crawling a bit but you take a deep breath and get into it.
âOkay, good enough for me. What design are we looking at?â
He hands you a paper. Itâs the same one youâve seen half a dozen times: hands touching in prayer over an image of the cross. Guys come to you for this tat again and again, âfrom Mrs. Petrov.â One told you it was a mark of his acting troupe, another said it was a family crest, another a symbol of his church. Theyâre probably all lying, but you know better than to call them on it â or to turn any of them away. Youâre pretty sure itâs a mob thing. It breaks your heart a little bit to think heâs caught up in all that. He doesnât look the part. But then, you also know better than to judge by looks alone.
You gesture to the chair. âSettle in, face down. Itâs better if we have your shirt off.â Heâs way too delicious underneath it. The perfect canvas...shhhhh stop it. Youâre a professional and heâsâŚgod knows what. âThis will take about four or five hours. Is that okay?â
He nods.
âSilent type I guess?â
That gets a faint smile before he lays across the bench, chin resting on folded arms. You flip the Open sign to Closed, pull on your gloves, and start prepping tools. You turn on the radio to 80s rock, filling the silence between you - though it doesnât feel like a stressful silence, surprisingly. Both of you know how odd this situation is and youâre both just trying to get through it. Thereâs a camaraderie to that.
You glance down at the design in your hand and whistle. Itâs pretty big, taking up most of the center of his back, between the scapulas. âIs this your first tattoo?â
âYeah.â
âAlright, well Iâll be real with you: this is going right over the spine, so you can expect some pain. Nothing thatâll kill you, justâŚnot super pleasant. So Iâll check in from time to time, see how youâre doing. If you need a break, we can take one.â
âI wonât.â He sounds pretty sure of that. Standing behind him, you shake your head. Itâs always the ones that are so sureâŚ
âWell, after a while, Iâll need one.â You run disinfecting wipes over the center of his back and set to work. When the needle touches down for the first time, he winces once, but he doesnât wince again for the next ten minutes of linework. It takes you that long to realize that heâs barely breathing. âYour muscles are tense, buddy. I need you to relax for me or this will hurt more.â
ââŚI justâŚdonât want to move.â Thereâs something so sweet about the way he says it.
âYou wonât move. Youâre actually less likely to shake if you can let yourself go totally limp, like you would if you were about to fall asleep. Here, sit up for a second, take a deep breath, and stretch out.â He listens, but heâs not looking at you. Youâre pretty sure heâs blushing.
âOkay. Iâm relaxed.â Liar. You can still feel the knots in his muscles when you touch him again. But at least itâs a little better than before, and heâs getting impatient. âKeep going.â
Well, the customer is always right. âAlright, letâs do it.â You grab your pen and get back into place. The best you can do is try to distract him. âHow did you choose this tattoo anyway?â Might as well see what story this one will make up.
âI didnât.â Thatâs probably the truest answer youâve heard so far.
âDo youâŚlike it?â God, you hope so.
âNot really.â
ââŚYouâre telling me Iâm putting something on your body right now that you donât want there?â
âNo,â he says, a little too quickly. âForget it.â
Thatâs probably for the best anyway. Youâll get too pissed off if you keep going down this line of questioning. You take a deep breath and try for something lighter. âSo what do you, uhâŚdo for fun?â
âReading, mostly.â
âOh, sweet. You read anything good lately?â
âKind of. Iâm reading Anna Kerenina.â He slips into a faint accent when he says it, and you have a suspicion.
âWhat translation?â
âJust the Russian.â He sounds a little annoyed, like you caught him out on something. You suppose you did, and it was kind of fun.
âBilingual. Thatâs badass.â
âThanks.â Thereâs silence again for a minute, but it feels friendlier.
âSo what do you think of it?â
âItâs...fine.â
You wrinkle your nose. âYeah, itâs kind of dry.â
âI guess, but I donât mind that. I just donât like Anna and Vronsky. Which is Tolstoyâs whole point, butâŚâ
âTheyâre both little shits to everyone. Makes it hard to get invested.â
âRight, exactly.â He shifts his chin. âIf I was married, I canât imagine cheating.â From some people, a line like that would sound like a transparent attempt to come across as a ânice guy.â But he says it so wistfully, you know he means it.
Donât say what youâre about to say. Donât say it. Be professional.
âŚFuck it, youâre doing this under the table anyway. âAre you dating anybody?â
âNo.â It sounds so bitter that, for a second, you think you really are dealing with a nice-guy-impersonator. But then he clarifies. âMyâŚlifestyle doesnât allow for that.â
âOh.â You canât think of any way to reply that doesnât involve the burning questions in your mind about what exactly this âlifestyleâ entails. So you lapse into silence again, for much longer this time, just thinking, wondering what itâs like to be one of these young men with the cross tattoos. Are they all friends with each other? What exactly do they do? Is it difficult? How does it pay? How did they get into it?
You stop when youâre done with the linework. âOkay, that went great! Weâre totally done with the outlines, which is half the battle. Iâm going to take a break before we start on the shading.â You circle around in front of him to grab your water bottle, and catch a glimpse of his face as heâs straightening up.
Heâs wiping off silent tears.
Your heart almost drops out of your chest. âOh shit. Are you okay?â
âYeah,â he says, but it sounds hoarse and shaky. âJust hurt more than I expected.â He huffs a laugh, trying to play the whole thing off as unimportant.
âDude, I told you we can take breaks if you need. If youâre crying from pain, youâre too tensed up. Tell me next time, alright?â Before you realize what youâre doing, youâre rubbing his shoulder. He freezes for a second, and you pull back. âSorry, I â I didnât mean to â â
âNo, itâs okay. Iâm just not used to that.â
âDamn, how do they treat you at Mrs. Petrovâs place?â Youâre half joking, but you want to know more and more by the second. And when he just looks grave and doesnât answer, your heart does that weird dropping thing again.
ââŚLet me get you a water, okay? Iâll be right back.â Youâre grateful for the short walk to the mini fridge you keep in the back of the parlor. It feels so heavy in that room. Youâre starting to wish you hadnât taken the deal, because whatever this is, you donât want to be involved.
When you come back, heâs perfectly composed again, but looking at you more carefully this time, like heâs finally really seeing you. After he takes a drink of water, he hesitates for a second. âMy name is Jardani.â
Warmly, âNice to meet you.â You take the bottle back and set it on the table, within reach. âYouâll tell me if you get overwhelmed next time?â
âYeah.â
âGood. Iâm trusting you.â
You watch him settle in and get back to work. Itâs okay at first but thereâs a dark shadow under those praying hands that needs to go right over his spine. Itâs basically pure black. A couple minutes into it, he exhales sharply, like heâd been holding his breath for a while. âStop.â
You set your pen down right away. âYou got it.â You pull up a chair next to him and he turns to look at you, without sitting up. Heâs really pale. âHow are you feeling?â
âLightheaded.â
âYeah, you can pass out if you get tense like that for too long. But youâre okay. We can take as long as you need.â You put your hand on his shoulder again, massaging it, and this time, he lets you. You can feel some of the tension finally seep away and the color returns to his cheeks. The dark pools of his eyes are fixed on yours, and if you arenât careful, you feel like you could fall into them and drown. Thereâs something trapped in cold waters down there, pleading for rescue.
Yeah, sure. If you were being unprofessional before, now youâre being a downright sentimental fool. This guy has probably shot people.
Despite being deep and rumbling, his voice sounds so quiet that itâs almost shy. âYou donât know what this means to me, to have aâŚnice moment... Thank you.â
âOh â youâre welcome. Itâs nothing, really.â Youâre absolutely done for. âUm, do you want to stand up and stretch before we get back at it?â
âMm-hm.â
Your brain is fried but you manage to hold it together while the both of you get back into position. The rest of the session goes pretty smoothly, and you talk a little more here and there. At first itâs just about how he should take care of this thing when itâs finished â staying out of the sun and all that. But then he starts to ask you about yourself - what you read, how you got into tattooing, your favorite designs. Everything you say seems to interest him. You canât quite believe it but heâs obviously developing a crush on you. Or at least getting attached in some way. You canât blame him, if the smallest friendly touch is such a foreign concept.
It's too soon when you place the finishing touches. âOkay! You want to take a look?â You help him up, his hand resting in yours for an instant as he slides off the bench, stiff and probably aching. It sends a jolt straight to your heart, to support some fraction of his weight and to feel the way his fingers squeeze down on yours before letting go. You mourn the contact instantly, and distract yourself by adjusting the two mirrors that reflect into each other, allowing him to see his back. âWhat do you think?â
âIt does look cool actually.â He cracks a little heart-melting smile, and youâre really relieved. He may not have wanted it, but at least heâs not devastated.
ââCourse it does, it was done by the best in the business,â you joke. Though to be honest, you really are impressed with your handiwork. Doing the same tattoo so many times pays off â each one has looked more polished than the last. Itâs almost a shame to see him put his shirt back onâŚfor multiple reasons.
âOh, uhâŚâ He fishes something out of his pocket. A wad of hard cash â a LOT of it, as usual. âHereâs the payment.â And then heâs leaving, before you can do anything, say anything, even catch the breath youâd lost trying to comprehend everything that just happened.
âHey, wait!â You donât really know what youâre going to say, but then heâs facing you again and you have to say something, and it just comes out. ââŚDo you need help? I donât know whatâs going on, but look, Iâm not an idiot. I know somethingâs wrong here. I donât know who Mrs. Petrov really is and I donât care, but if you need me to do something, likeâŚI donât know, call a social worker or something or help you get transport out of the city...â Your voice falters. You have no idea what heâd need and even less idea how to provide it without getting both of you killed. And what if youâve misread the whole situation? What if youâre completely out of line?
It certainly looks that way. Itâs like a switch flips in him. âNo. Whatever you do, donât fucking try anything. Itâs none of your business.â Itâs the coldest heâs sounded. âYou wonât see me again.â The door slams behind him.
You brace a hand against the counter behind you, shaking. How could you be so stupid, honestly. This emotional roller coaster isnât worth it. You wish youâd never seen Mrs. Petrov, let alone this Jardani with his damn pain-soaked eyes and cornered-dog behavior. Thereâs something awful going on, and you canât do anything about it, youâre just making it worse. If you can get out of this deal, you have to, even if it means getting out of the city. Maybe out west - San Francisco sounds nice this time of year.
Youâre just putting yourself back together and trying to decide what the hell youâre gonna do when the door flings open again and he storms back though it, stopping short right in front of you. For a second, you just stare at each other, breathing hard. Then he catches the flash of foolish happiness in your eyes at seeing him again and musters his nerves.
And he. Fucking. Kisses. You. Forcefully, with his strong hands gripping your arms and his teeth colliding with yours, pulling, desperate, rebellious, like heâs trying to tell you something heâs not allowed to say. Youâre pretty sure itâs, âThank you. For being one of the few people who cared.â
And then heâs gone again, and this time, you can feel it: heâs never coming back.

Time to celebrate Freddie by yapping about him. Fuck this going to take a long time.
Alright, first off, amazing fucking singer, I have not heard a person who has a more amazing voice then Freddie fucking Mercury. He was the best at singing, he could play piano, he could play a bit of guitar. He wrote amazing songs a lot of which became massive hits like Bohemian Rhapsody, Save Me, Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy, Somebody to Love, Killer Queen, Crazy Little Thing Called Love and many other ones that I will cry if I hear them start playing in public. And speaking of Crazy Little Thing Called Love, he wrote that in ten minutes in the fucking bathtub, AND I'M PISSED OFF THAT THAT SCENE DIDN'T GET INTO THE MOVIE.
And performing live he was the best. I normally can't sit down and focus on watching one thing for a long time, I usually have to be on my phone at the same time, but when I'm watching Queen concerts I can watch the full thing without needing to look at my phone and without getting distracted because it's just so fucking beautiful. The only times I would want to go on my phone while watching them is to yap about how amazing it is on Tumblr. He was a fucking god when he performed live, and I could enjoy any song if he was singing it, because his voice was purely majestic and amazing. It has been said by multiple people that Queen stole the show, and that is definetely true. Freddie had such a big presence on stage when performed and he could get anyone to sing along with him which is proven by the ay-oh segments and how people sing and dance along to the songs.
And he has other talents outside of singing and piano and all that. He also earned a degree in graphic art and design and can draw really good. He designed the Queen logo himself and it is one of the prettiest logos I have seen, and it has meanings behind it. The fairies is to represent Freddie being a virgo, the lions are Roger and John being Leos and Brian is the crab for Cancer. There's the Q and the crown in the middle for Queen, the pheonix in the back pulling everything together, making it look cool and making them seem as strong as they are, and the crab is on fire to represent Brian being hot as hell (jk. although that should be true). The logo is so fucking pretty and detailed and I am proud to say I have a giant one of it hanging from my wall.
Freddie was really outgoing and exotic on stage and it was amazing, and even though he was still kind of like that offstage, it's known that he was also pretty shy and sweet and I fucking love that. He was unique and strong and headstrong and everything but he was also sweet and kind and shy and insercure about things and I love that because it shows that hes human which he is and sometimes people don't remember that because of how incredible on stage he was. It's something people forget about a lot of celebrities. I don't like that he was insecure about things that I honestly love about him, like his teeth because his smile is so pretty, but I love how it shows that he's just some normal guy with so much talent.
He was so sweet. I heard somewhere that apparently that sometimes he would see on the tv that people were struggling financially he would anounmosulflglyy send them $10'000 or something to help them out. I'm saying apparently because I haven't fact checked it or anything but I choose to believe that because it's really cute and sweet. There was also a story where he got introduced to someone who was with their mum and he was kind of shy and stuff and later he went to a vending machine thing where you can get trinkets and he got one that matches with another one. Then he went back to the mum and gave her one and asked her to give it to her daughter and that IS SO FUCKING CUTEEEE. The girl was so lucky to have a lucky trinket from Freddie Mercury and then had one that matches?! AAAAAA.
He could stand up for himself really well as well despite the fact that he was kind of shy. There was a time when Queen was recording in a recording studio and the Sex Pistols were recording near them. Sid Vicious randomly came into their recording studio and started being a dick and annoying them and all that shit and Freddie went up to him called him Simon Ferocious which Sid didn't like and then pushed him out the door which was amazing. There was another time with a fan when he was eating dinner and a fan came up to him with a piece of paper to sign and a pen and pretty much shoved in his face. Freddie told him to leave him alone because he was eating. When he finished he went up to the fans table and lectured him on not being rude and having manners and then signed the paper for him. Good on him. In my opinion that was the right thing to do. I know other celebrities have done this before but one time there was a fight happening at one of the concerts and he stopped the entire concert to break it up and told them they were ruining the show for everyone.
He is also one of the most determined, strong and headstrong people I have ever heard of as well. Towards the end when he was really sick he told the band to write songs for him to record because he just wanted to keep singing until he died. One of my favourite stories of him is when he was recording The Show Must Go On he was so sick he could barely stand and Brian didn't think he could do it. Freddie told Brian "I'll fucking do it darling," then he had some vodka and finished the song in one go. In my opinion that is one of the best performances he has done just fucking listen to it and you'll see. There's a reason that's one of my fav songs.
He also apparently never complained about being sick and eventually went off of his aids meds because he already knew he was going to die and just accepted it.
He loved cats as well and that's super sweet to me. He had ten cats, Tiffany, Delilah, Miko, Romeo, Tom, Jerry, Dorothy, Goliath, Lily and Oscar. Delilah was Freddie's favourite and he made a song for her. Tiffany's my favourite. He also dedicated his solo album "Mr Bad Guy" to all the cats and cat lovers of the world.
HE LOVES HIS HUSBAND AND IT FUCKING SHOWS. Freddie and Jim got each other rings and called each other husband even though they weren't legally married, and Jim said that one day they got into a fight because Freddie wasn't wearing his ring, and after that day Freddie always wore it and never took it off. One time Freddie was having a party and Jim had work the next day so he went to bed and he was almost asleep when he heard Freddie come in with a group of people he was showing around he heard Freddie say to them, "everyone be quiet, my husband's asleep." Jim also did some woodwork stuff and Freddie would ask Jim to make lots of things, and one time he asked him to make some wooden box thing and he gave it to Jim and in the box was some of the original lyrics from some songs.
He was a really good friend as well. He had some friends that would all call each other drag names and one of those friends was Elton John. Elton's drag name was Sharon and Freddie's was Melina. One time Elton saw a piece of artwork that he liked and after Freddie died he got a package that was the artwork and it was from Freddie. On it is said, "To Sharon from Melina" There might have been more on it but I can't remember. Elton cried.
I was reading and watching some things on Freddie yesterday and there were a lot of people who knew him or met him personally talking about him, and when asked what he was really like, they would all say he was a wonderful, kind, sweet guy.
I love him so fucking much you don't even understand he was one of the most gorgeous human beings to have ever existed. I know I have some irl friends on here but they prob won't read this so I'm just gonna say I love him more than some of my irl friends. Not saying more than the ones on here, but some of them.
Love ya Freddie â¤ď¸

Chapter 3 - La Ganga
Samaraâs hand was still resting on JJâs knee as her eyes sultrily bored into his, waiting for his response. JJâs head was spinning in a thousand different directions, trying to assess what exactly was going on. The main issue he had with this whole ordeal was that she didnât in fact invite him over because she wanted him just as much as he wanted her. The sad truth, as JJ came to realise, was that this annoyingly attractive girl had simply overheard him boasting to his friends about the gold that they had found, and respectively lost, and now she wanted a piece of that instead. JJ sighed loudly. As much as he hated to admit that this was a bad idea, he pushed that thought very far to the side and tried to negotiate with the part of his brain that didnât think logically, which in his case was the dominating one. What exactly could he lose here? The chances of them finding the Royal Merchant gold were extremely low, to the point where they were almost non-existent. This girl was voluntarily offering to help them find it, and she was also willingly to let them stay in her familyâs hotel for free until further notice. How JJ saw this was extremely straight-forward and simple - Samara asks for part of the gold, Samara offers her help in return for the gold, JJ accepts said offer and lets her help, growing closer to her in the meantime, seducing her and eventually winning her over, so that even they donât find the actual treasure, she realises that the real treasure was right there with her all along, at it wore worn down biker boots and went by the name of JJ Maybank. Yep, that sounded like a great plan, one of his best plans yet, if he did say so himself. He looked down at Samaraâs hand still on his knee, a ball of excitement growing in his stomach just at the sight of it being there, then he looked up at her face, twisting the corners of his thin lips into a smirk. âYou have yourself a deal, gorgeous,â he said, his confidence suddenly returning to his body. The old JJ senses were coming back headfirst and he was feeling great about it. Samara smiled in return, raising her glass for a toast, âTo working together,â JJ clinked his glass with hers, sending her a wink, âTo working with each other,â The pair sat in silence for a moment, JJ mostly admiring the girl sitting next to him, before she broke the silence, âWhere did you say you were from, JJ?â âWe never got to that part, actually,â he answered, glad that Samara was taking interest in him, âIâm from a place called the Outer Banks, more specifically Kildare. Itâs in North Carolina, right by the coast.â He explained, painting an imaginary picture of what he was saying with his hands, "You know, prior to ending up here, which was a total coincidence by the way, the furthest Iâd been from Kildare was Charleston. I, uh, I havenât really been anywhere.â Samara was studying his face while he was talking. She had asked him a simple question and was expecting a simple answer, yet this boy could just seemingly not stop talking. She couldnât decide whether it was annoying, or strangely endearing. She almost felt bad for having to shut him up to change the topic to what she had actually called him over for, âSo tell me about this gold,â Lucky for her, JJ didnât seem to mind her direct approach to the change of subject, instantly going into another story - the one that interested her the most. âFunny you ask,â he said enthusiastically, taking a rather big sip of his wine, âSo as I said, Iâm from the Outer Banks. Let me describe the OBX to you - itâs an odd place, you see, a place much like any other in the sense that itâs divided into rich and poor, however that divide is a suuuuper big deal to us. Youâve got the rich and elite bastards called the Kooks, and youâve also got the not so lucky ones who work for them - the Pogues. Me and those guys you so kindly invited into your home, are, well, were Pogues. Except for Sarah, she was rich-rich.â There it was again - JJ getting completely side-tracked in his own thoughts, talking about irrelevant to the topic of conversation things.
Samara somehow found it entertaining and she wasnât particularly bothered by it so she just let him speak, hoping that heâd eventually get to the point. â- so one day, it turned out that John Bâs old man was dead, although heâd left behind all these clues and well, one thing lead to another, we found the gold, except we werenât the only people looking for it, obviously,â Bingo, there it was - the gold. Samara knew this was her cue to focus, â- so when we were finally within touching distance of the gold and the cross - boom - we threw ourselves of the ship to dodge getting totally killed, and, well, here we are.â JJ wrapped up his story, leaning back into the couch and sighing contently with what he believed to be a great short summary of what had happened to him and his friends, finishing the rest of his wine. Samara frowned as she did the same, âHold that thought,â she said, standing up and disappearing into the diner for a brief moment, before coming back with a bottle of the infamous whiskey from earlier, it had just enough contents to fill up one more glass each. JJ smirked at the sight of her when she sat back down next to him and she frowned dramatically, âWhat? I thought this called for something a bit stronger.â JJ didnât protest as the pretty brunette refilled their wine glasses with the harder liquor, âI have a cousin up in Daytona,â she said as matter-of-factly, âHe owns a motel in the Holly Hill area. We can crash up there while we head up north. Weâll leave first thing Thursday morning, before my aunt and cousin come back. Iâll make sure we have everything we need by then, we have just enough time.â âWhy are we heading up north?â JJ looked puzzled, âAnd how many cousins with hotels do you have?â âSeeing as we know virtually nothing about where these people were heading, the most logical thing that we can do is go back to the Outer Banks and try finding out as much as we can from there. There must be someone who knows.â The more she spoke, the more it made sense to JJ. Ward would have made sure to erase all of his traces by now, Rafe would have tried his best to follow in his fatherâs footsteps, however there was one member of the Cameron family who was, for the lack of a better word, messy. And that was Wheezie Cameron, Sarahâs younger sister. JJ was sure that Ward would have changed all of their phone numbers, if they were even still allowed to have a phone, however the thought of Wheezie Cameron totally removing herself from social media was by far absurd to JJ. He was sure that they would be able to somehow trace her even without having to go all the way back to the OBX, but before they could do that, this was their only option. Samara had turned out smarter than he had made her out to be initially. She was cunning, generous and helpful, all traits that JJ never thought heâd find this attractive in a woman. Hell, up until now heâd never even looked for any traits in women beyond their physical appearance, yet here he was - a changed man. âYou, miss,â he pointed at her with the hand he held his wine glass in, âAre a genius. Has anyone ever told you that?â Samara snickered, although she couldnât help the slight blush that was painting itself across her tanned cheeks, âDonât push your luck too much, JJ, weâve only just met,â she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, almost appearing shy for a split second. This didnât go unnoticed by JJ and he took it as a green light to scoot a bit closer to her, to the point where their faces were inches apart. He couldnât help but breathe her scent in, and boy did she smell alluring, her perfume heavy and somewhat oriental, at least thatâs how JJ would describe it. It reminded him of all the times heâd served tables down on Figure Eight and rich Kook girls would walk past him, leaving behind a scent of expensive designer perfume. Samara almost reminded him of a rich Kook girl, she looked so well put together and so on top of her shit. Good thing they werenât in the OBX anymore, otherwise his friends would grill him for breaking the one promise he had made to himself
long, long ago - never getting with a Kook. Except she wasnât a Kook, they werenât in the OBX and much to his dismay - him and her were hardly getting with each other. He realised that winning Samara over would take time, and lucky for him, he had all the time in the world. Finding Ward and the gold would take a while and he was up for an adventure, especially since it included this gorgeous young lady. He studied her some more. Her skin looked so soft, and so did her lips - so soft, so inviting. Her eyes were dark and mysterious, shaped like almonds, and the way she batted her luscious lashes almost made her seem like she was keeping a number of dark and dangerous secrets. JJ knew that deep down she saw something in him, too. She just needed the right push to admit it. A stray strand of her hair fell in her face and before she could react, JJ gently tucked it away behind her ear, taking his time when his fingers met her face. He let them linger there for a second before pulling his hand away. âThanks,â was all that she could say. âDonât mention it,â he said gently, âWeâre gonna be partners after all, weâve gotta help each other out, right?â Samara almost rolled her eyes at the sound of JJ referring to them as âpartnersâ, but she withheld from it. Something about this boy was very endearing to her, in a lost puppy type of way, and she didnât want to admit it, but she didnât entirely dislike his company. Au contraire, it had been a while since she had had someone around. This didnât seem all bad to her - she would go for a little adventure, make some friends, and if all goes to plan, sheâll come home with a bag full of gold. Hell, if she felt frisky enough she could even JJ the time of day once or twice - no strings attached, of course. He seemed keen enough, that much she knew. And she had never been with anyone in that way before, much to everyoneâs disbelief. She wasnât going to tell him that, of course, especially not now. Perhaps it was the alcohol speaking, but she suddenly found him so attractive. He was her usual type - seemed like the local bad boy back home, the one who didnât abide by the rules and got himself in trouble more often than not - and only God knew just how much Samara liked the bad boys. His fingers, although rough and calloused, left the softest touch, and she was ashamed to admit she wished heâd left them there for a moment longer. She crossed her legs and sat up straighter, trying to regain her composure. She knew sheâd had enough to drink. She couldnât do this here, especially not tonight, not in her auntâs hotel. She knew that if she didnât call quits to the night now, things might get ugly and she didnât want to lose her composure with JJ yet. âShall we?â She said, trying her hardest to sound as confident and unfazed as she could, âHead to bed I mean,â She quickly added, mentally kicking herself for not clearing it up and potentially giving JJ the wrong idea. Judging by the growing smirk on the boyâs face she realised sheâd just dug herself a hole. âI thought weâd only just met, Miss La Guardiana,â he winked, standing up and offering his hand to help her up. She accepted it and turned on her heel towards the stairs as soon as she was on her feet, sassily flipping her hair as she did so. JJ followed after her, smirk only growing as they walked up the stairs and into the hallway to their respective rooms. When they reached JJâs room, they both stopped, Samara leaning against the wall. âFill your friends in on our plan so far,â she said, âAbout heading up to Daytona, I mean. Iâll take care of everything else until then.â JJ raised an eyebrow, not entirely sure what she meant by âeverything elseâ. She noticed his confusion and decided to clear it up, âIâll sort out some clothes for all of you, food is on the house, weâll also need some cash soâŚâ she eyed JJ up and down, an idea forming in her head, âPerhaps you could be useful while weâre still here and work for it, Iâm thinking⌠waiter?â JJ almost laughed, âBaby girl, you name it - Iâve probably done it. Back home, there isnât a job I
havenât worked, just to make enough to put food on the table. Besides, serving food and drinks is the least I could do to repay your kindness,â his eyes darkened as he took a step closer to Samara. His face was getting dangerously close to hers, never breaking eye contact, âItâll be my pleasure to work for you, miss La Guardiana,â Samara held her ground, trying to keep her cool as much as she physically could. On the inside, she was on fire. âLikewise, mister Kildare,â she whispered, inching her body closer to JJâs; she wanted to push his buttons as far as she could in the moment. They stood there in silence for a moment; they didnât need to say anything - their eyes were doing all the talking. JJ couldnât keep his eyes off Samaraâs lips, though when he finally gave in and leaned forward, the girl took a sudden step backwards towards her room, leaving him breathless. âMake sure you wake all of your friends up early tomorrow,â she simply said, âYou didnât think youâd be the only one whoâd have to work for a living around here did you? â she faked a grimace, still stepping backwards towards her room, âMeet me tomorrow in the lobby at 8. Weâve got work to do,â she stopped in front of her door, pressing her key into the lock, âOh, and JJ?â Her door clicked open, âI really enjoyed tonight. Looking forward to our next date. Goodnight,â with that, she was gone. Did she say date? JJ stood in the hallway for a moment before going into his room. He couldnât hide the grin on his face even if he wanted to. Samara totally had a thing for him and he couldnât wait to dive into this new adventure - the gold being the last thing on his mind, because maybe, just maybe, Samara wanted him just as much as he wanted her.

âOh! Donât act like you care. I can tell you wouldnât give a shit if I left for an entire year. Iâm not one of your barely legal bimbos you can manipulate however you like,â Karen ranted on and on to Ransom. You didnât know what they were fighting about today - you didnât care to find out either.
âGod! Would you fucking give me a break? All you do is yap your trap all day long,â he snapped at her.
You looked at the main door, to leave your house you would have to go through the hallway where both of them were having their âlively' discussion, which you had no intentions to be a part of.
Karen gave him a deadly glare - which literally gave you chills even though you werenât on the receiving end of it.
She walked closer to him, until she was only inches away from his face, âFor your own good,â wrapping her palm around his chiselled jaw âdonât forget your place. You do not curse at me or yell at me.â
He didnât say anything back, simply holding her unwavering glare.
She looked at the stairs, her face instantly lighting up into a faux smile upon seeing you. âDarling, what are you doing there? Come here,â she said extending an arm to you. You walked down to her, she engulfed you into a hug, soothing a hand over your head, âMommy has to go away for a while, to Paris for fashion week. I know thatâs not something youâd be interested in.â
You shook your head. No, those events were a bit too stuffy for you. You dared to sneak a glance at Ransom, he was fuming. His jaw clenched hard, his face and neck flushed as he heaved. You werenât sure if that rage was directed towards you or your stepmother.
âFuck this shit,â he spit before leaving and slamming the door behind him. You cringed at the loud noise it made. You were relieved that he was gone, given what he had done in his impulsivity and rage, you didnât want to be around him when he was that angry.
âWell?â Karenâs question snapped you out of your thoughts.
âIâm sorry, what did you say?â
âYou better not be going to meet that Jack or John or whatever.â
âHis names Jeremy, Karen, and I really like him. If you got to know him - â
âI donât need to know him. He does not bring anything to the table. He doesnât even deserve to breathe in the same air as you.â
âA rich guy can treat me badly too. I donât know why you think I canât be happy with a normal person.â you shook your head. She of all people should not be questioning your taste in men.
âHis fathers a fucking high school teacher, honey,â she scoffed. âNo, I wonât have you dating a nobody.â
âWell, Ransoms a friggin' murderer!â you screamed. âWhat kind of man conspires to kill his own grandfather?!â
She had married him just months after he was declared 'not guilty' of not one, but TWO murders. Although, everyone knew that he definitely did it.
You begged her not to marry him. But she seemed to be completely smitten with him, besides she had never really valued your opinion or seen you as an adult.
âSay what you will about Ransom. But he has the name - heâs a Thrombey, he comes from old money. As annoying as he can be - heâs not hideous to look at either, I suppose.â
That was the only thing you might be inclined to agree with. You hated that some part of you was attracted to him. Even though, he was a terrible person. He treated âthe help', the people who raised you and cared for you as if they were beneath him.
He treated Karen like shit - which she may deserve, you knew of her affairs and the one French boyfriend she was visiting under the guise of business.
He was however, completely indifferent to you. He never got in your way, sometimes you could feel his eyes on you, following every move you made. Sometimes you wondered... if maybe... some part of him found you attractive as well.
You knew you werenât much to look at, especially compared to your stepmother, but then why else would he be staring so much?
Was he plotting to OFF you as well? To get you out of his way. Youâd be inheriting most of your late fathers estate.
***
You closed the door behind you, as quietly as you could so as not to wake anyone. You got home a little later than midnight. You werenât used to staying out that long but it was one of your best friends birthday.
âWhat were you doing out so late?â You yelped as you heard his voice.
âRansom! Oh my gosh, you scared me,â you tried to catch your breathe.
âItâs after twelve. Who were you out with?â he raised a brow. âAnd what the hell are you wearing?â
âHuh?â you looked down at your bodycon dress. You werenât used to wearing clothes that tight but this one just seemed so pretty and perfect to capture Jeremyâs attention. âItâs Karenâs design,â you shrugged. It was provocative but classy and respectable which was your stepmothers brand.
âWhat kind of message do you think youâre sending dressing like that? If you want to be the talk of the town - â
âRansom, oh my god! Itâs just a dress and Iâm - Iâm a virgin!â you confessed. It wasnât something you were ashamed of - why would you be?
âWhat?â his eyes widened and his mouth gaped.
He had known you were a pretty little thing since the moment he met you. So shy and demure and pure. Of course youâd be a virgin. Like a perfect present waiting to be unwrapped.
You almost smiled at that. Stunning Ransom like that made you feel smug for some reason. âYeah. Iâm saving myself for the right guy.â you replied in a small voice, averting his gaze and looking at the carpet.
He took two long strides and walked over to you, before you knew it he had a firm grasp on your waist, pulling you against his hard chest. âAnd whatâs the right guy like, sweetheart?â
âSomeone - uh,â your brain blanked, having him that close to you, feeling his warm breath on your face almost made you black out.
He bent his neck till he was closer to your ear, âWell, donât lose it to Jeremy or whatever. He wonât even know what to do with a sweet thing like you.â
You gasped, trying to push him away but his stance was unrelenting. âThat is so inappropriate, Ransom! Youâre married!â
He grabbed at your failing wrists, pinning them behind your back, âDonât you worry your pretty little head about that. Karen and I have an arrangement. You ever been kissed before?â he asked, his tongue peaking out to kick his plump lips.
âWh - â you swallowed a heavy lump of air, looking away from him, âNo,â tears streaming down your face.
He chuckled, licking a firm stripe up your cheek, moaning at the taste of your tears. âWeâll fix that tonight, princess.â
You shuddered in his hold, it finally hit you. He intended to have his way with you. âKaren!â you screamed at the top of your lungs.
âSheâs not home, sweetheart,â he smirked, pushing his knee between your legs, âI thought you wanted this? I heard you saying my name while touching yourself. Iâll do better than your little fingers ever could,â he grinded his knee against your core.
You whimpered, scared out of your mind for your life and ashamed. Ashamed of being caught, of being aroused and getting more and more wetter. Your hips rolling against his knee to seek more friction.
âThatâs a good girl,â he praised, pulling your bottom lip between his teeth till it hurt and then releasing it with a pop. âIf you keep being good and take what I give you - Iâll make you feel good too.â He held on to your forearm, dragging you up the stairs towards his room.
âNo, no... not in your room. In mine, please,â you whimpered, his nails digging in the flesh of your arm. They might have an 'arrangement' but you doubted Karen would appreciate you doing the deed in her bed.
âFine with me,â he dragged you along, locking your door behind him as he pushed you down on your mattress.
He pulled his t-shirt over his head, quickly discarding all his clothes. You couldnât help but shamelessly ogle him. His broad shoulders, defined chest and abs. He was bigger than any boy you knew. Your jaw dropped at the size of his cock, slapping against his abdomen when he pulled down his boxers.
âLike what you see, princess?â he smirked.
Hovering over you, his hands tearing your dress apart, you feebly tried to stop him, âThat was expensive, Ransom!â
âI can just buy you another one,â he winked, rolling your panties down your legs.
You rolled your eyes. Yeah, with my own money.
Your arms flew up to your naked chest and mound, to cover up and save your modesty.
He growled, pulling them away and pressing them on the mattress above you. âThese better fucking stay here all night, understood?â
You were too afraid to do anything but nod.
âNever popped anyoneâs cherry before... this should be interesting,â he snaked a hand between your bodies, pinching your clit causing you to jerk away from him.
He didn't bother fingering you or preparing you, he knew you'd be tighter without it - he had about enough of foreplay anyway.
âPlease, be gentle,â you requested, looking up at him through your doe eyes, pleading him - you had never felt so utterly helpless.
He cruelly laughed at your misery, his lips curled up in a devilish smirk, âI don't do gentle, kitten. You'll take what I fucking give you - â he growled positioning himself between your legs, brushing his leaking tip over your chaste, untouched folds âand then thank me for it. Like the slut you are.â
You couldn't even begin to grasp or point out the logical fallacy of a virgin slut as his cock plunged into your heat, piercing through your virginity, splitting you in half.
Your back arched off the bed, you slapped your hands over your mouth to keep from screaming. It was painful, that was all you felt - pain. As he held onto your waist, his fingers digging in your flesh, his hips pulling out and then driving into you with an unrelenting pace.
You could not stop crying, or twisting your head from side to side. Knowing it was all you could do - he wouldnât stop - no matter how much you pleaded. You werenât sure you wanted him to stop.
He pressed a few kisses and nips to the crook of your neck, sucking on a spot as you held back a moan.
He propped himself up on his elbows to look down at you, your eyes and nose swollen, your make up running down your face - you looked more beautiful than you ever had before.
âYou look so pretty when you cry, kitten,â he cooed, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to your lips.
He kept driving his cock into you, searching for that special spot as you kept mewling under him.
His heart swelled with pride, nobodyâs ever fucked you before, heâs the first man thatâs ever seen you naked or to be inside you.
âDo you want me to stop?â he stilled his hips, âJust say the word then.â He knew you wouldnât.
You sniffled, shaking your head, âNo, keep going, please.â
His lips curled up in a grin, taking some kind of twisted pleasure in your misery, âYouâre something else, kitten.â
âOh,â you closed your eyes, your toes curling, your legs holding onto his waist as you felt your orgasm creeping up on you.
Ransom leaned over you when he felt your heat convulsing around him, pulling your earlobe between his teeth, âThis is the tightest little cunt Iâve ever fucked,â he grunted, driving each word home with a powerful thrust. âYou like that, kitten?â
All you could do was nod, the pain was well as much more subdued now but you were still sore and exhausted. âYes, I like it.â
âWeâre going to do this every night from now on.â
He pulled out fisting his cock over you - he wasnât going to impregnate his newest plaything - his white, hot spend painting your stomach and titts.
Your fingers swirled the sticky substance around on your skin, you were curious to see what it tasted like. You clenched your legs shut, your pussy still tingly. This was not how you planned your first time to go but you had no regrets.
You knew you were absolutely wrong to think so but being desired by Ransom gave you a strange kind of pride.
You gasped when you heard a click, sitting up on your elbows you looked at Ransom clicking pictures of your pussy with his phone.
âWh - whatâre you doing?â you tried to close your legs but he kept a firm hand on your knee.
âJust need a souvenir,â he responded, taking some more of his cum on your body and then putting his phone in his pocket. He swirled a finger around the blood on your inner thigh, bringing it up to paint the crimson on your mouth, âGo clean yourself up. Iâll be back tomorrow.â
You smiled as he kissed you, âOkay, Ransom.â
Even with your pussy freshly fucked - you couldnât wait for his next visit.

Every Little Thing.
Part 3!! You can find all the info about why this is such a mess in Part 1Â and read Part 2 here! This is the last part sort of. Iâm planning on an epilogue of sorts though!
Summary: Reader is a famous singer with a murderous stalker. Spencer has to go undercover to protect her.
warnings: mentions of murder, anxious reader, stalker
Word Count: 8681
The next time you open your eyes, the first thing you see is the shadow of an unknown person looming over you. Your instincts are screaming danger and without thinking about it, you start fighting your way out of their hands. They are trying to restrain you, so you fight back harder. You canât stop hearing the lamp crashing on your head. Itâs reminding you over and over of the danger you are in. Your self-defense training kicks in when the person wraps an arm across our chest. Afterwards, you think it should have occurred to you that the person wasnât really fighting back so much as trying to calm you down, but youâll blame your poor observational skills on adrenaline. It just all happened so fast.
You form your hands into âlarge clawsâ as the instructor called them in class, and swiftly shove them between your body and the arm of the attacker. Gripping the arm, you throw your weight diagonally forward, curling your body in toward your left knee. You end in a one legged kneel, having thrown the person over your shoulder. The thud they made upon hitting the floor was highly satisfying, until you looked down and recognized the face.
Derek Morgan was staring at you from his new found position on the floor, you kneeling over him with a slightly crazed look in your eye. You would start apologizing, but you are so stunned you donât move until Morgan gets up and guides you back to the couch.
Apparently the team had been trying to reach you or Reid for a while. Neither of you answered, for reasons that were obvious now, so the team rushed over to check on you. Nobody mentions how you just threw Derek over your body as if he were a ragdoll. It doesnât seem like the time to be joking around.
You tell them everything you can remember, starting with everything you told Spencer about the man you recognized and ending with the sound of the lamp cracking over your head. Youâre surprised you didnât cry through the whole story. Maybe youâre out of tears, physically unable to produce any more because your tear ducts dried up. If Spencer were here heâd tell you some fact about how your tear ducts never really dry out, your body just becomes dehydrated and water is diverted to more essential tasks.
At the thought of Spencer, a few tears do spring to your eyes. âWhy would he take him? I was right here! He couldâve just taken me and been done with it. Oh, god. I was right there and I couldnât stop him. No, no, no no no nonono.â You can feel all the signs of panic setting in, but you donât have the power to stop them on your own. The team is trying to help you. They are, but you donât hear them. Youâre too worried about what is currently happening to Spencer.
It feels like time has slowed down. Itâs like youâre swimming through syrup, desperately trying to stay above the surface, but the liquid is heavy and itâs sticky and itâs pulling you down. You hear what people are saying to you, but the words donât make sense in your brain. They might as well be talking to a toddler, because all you can do is babble incoherently and point at the pieces of lamp on the ground. Â
You are relieving the same two scenes over and over. The look on his face when you made eye contact in the park. Then the sound of the lamp hitting your skull in the dark. The look on his face. The sound of the lamp. The look. The sound. His face. The lamp. Itâs repeating in a never ending cycle. Your brain is moving so fast, youâre combining the two experiences. Logically, you know it was way too dark to see him holding the lamp, but you can see it clear as day in your head.
Heâs walking across the room. He stops to pick up the lamp. Heâs got both hands wrapped around it, as if he needed all the force he could possible create. HI lifts it above his head, and crash- wait. Heâs holding the lamp like a mic stand. Heâs holding the lamp like a mic stand!
âThe lamp!â Your exclamation is so loud, Hotch looks as if he couldâve been surprised.
âHe hit you with the lamp. We know.â Morganâs voice is soothing, but your brain is moving through everything too fast to listen. You must look certifiably insane.
âNo, the way he held the lamp.â Your brain is moving too fast for the words coming out of your mouth to catch up.
âYou said it was too dark to see anything. How do you know how he held the lamp?â JJ looks confused more than anything at your behavior.
âI donât. I mean, I do. I donât know.â Youâre being pulled back to the couch again. Itâs as if the syrup has you in a bubble. Youâre moving at a different frequency than the rest of them. Youâre in a daze, not speaking as clearly as you are thinking.
âY/N.â Hotch says your name with such a commanding presence, youâre focus is returned to the team. Theyâre staring at you with various expressions. Rossi looks so concerned you canât help but think of the song you started for him. He really is the parental type. The rest of the team wear expressions that perfectly balance confusion, concern, and worry. Except for Hotch. He looks as stoic as ever, but there is a glint in his eye that seems to indicate heâs worried. âWhat about the lamp?â
âYouâre right. I didnât see the lamp in his hands. It was too dark.â This clears the confusion, but the concern and worry havenât left their faces. âI can picture it though. And in my head, he was holding the lamp like I would hold a mic stand if I was trying to adjust the height.â You mime the grip in front of you. âThatâs a weird fucking way to hold a lamp. So, why would I picture that?â They give you sympathetic looks, but nobody has an answer for you.Â
Youâve risen from the couch to pace back and forth across the room. The team starts speculating where the unsub wouldâve taken Spencer, but youâre not listening. You are so sure thereâs a reason you picture the lamp like that. You arenât paying attention to them, and they arenât paying attention to you. At least, thatâs what you thought. Youâre practically muttering to yourself when you figure it out. âIâve seen him adjust a mic stand.â Hotch must have ears like an elephant because his head instantly swivels in your direction. You make the briefest of eye contact, a small smile forming on your face as you dart back toward the team.
âYouâve seen him before yesterday?â Hotch asks, cutting off the conversation currently going on between the agents. The group turns toward you, just realizing youâre no longer walking in circles talking to yourself.
âYes. Yes, Iâve seen him adjust a mic stand. That must be why I pictured it like that in my head. The lamp I mean.â Hotch gives you a gentle nudge, encouraging you to reach a conclusion. âHe works on the crew. His first show was the Louisville show.â Morgan already has Garcia on the phone, narrowing down the names for newer hires only.
âThatâs still 42 names.â You can hear her nerves through the phone, and youâve only met her once.
âRight, we hire a lot of new people for the US leg of the tour. Itâs usually the biggest part.â You try to remember anything else about this man, wishing you had Spencerâs memory.
âY/N, what else can you remember about him?â JJâs words are gentle, but the look in her eyes is anything but. It is her best friend thatâs missing.
âI donât know. Heâs never talked to me. I tried to introduce myself once and he just awkwardly ran away. The other crew guys he was working with, though they said something though.â You start tapping the side of your head, trying to recall the memory from nearly a month ago. âThey said heâs been like that since he started. A little shy, I mean. They thought he was star struck.â You know they said something else, but it feels like youâre trying to catch individual grains of sand. You can just barely see them before they land in the water, fading away. âHis name! One of them said his name. Jake or John or something with a J.â
âThree names.â The hope was evident in the way Garcia said the two simple words.
âWhat are they? I know they said his last name too, itâs just harder to remember because I didnât talk to him personally.â
 âJacob Hawthorne-â
âNo, itâs not him. He works in lighting, great guy. Cute kids.â
âJordan Crawfordâ
âNo, heâs a set designer. I talk to him all the time about switching things up between shows.â
 âLast one, Joshua Gr-â
âGraves! Josh Graves Thatâs the name. Thatâs him!â
âY/N, stay here. Agent Anderson will make sure youâre safe.â You can still hear his commanding voice as he leaves the room with the rest of the team. âGarcia, look for addresses where he-â The door swings shut, cutting you off from the rest of the information.
You gave Agent Anderson a small wave, asking if he wanted coffee or tea. You were still trying to be a good host, even if the room was a crime scene.
Crime scene. Suddenly, the idea of staying in this room any longer made you feel physically ill. You threw on a pair of sweatpants and a baseball hat, grabbing your keys as you headed for the door. Before Agent Anderson, or Grant as he introduced himself, could speak a word of protest, you had the door open.
âI canât be in that room anymore. We can go wherever you want, I just canât stay there. He nodded in understanding, but still looked nervous at the idea of ignoring Hotchâs order to stay put.
The elevator doors opened to a mostly deserted lobby. You instantly walk over to the small cafÊ tucked into the corner. The barista recognizes you immediately, reaching for a bag as if you had already ordered.
âMs. L/N, a man ordered this for you earlier. He said to give it to you as soon possible, but I didnât want to wake you up since itâs still so early.â She has a sweet smile on her face, one you try to return but fail miserably.
âThank you.â Youâre far too stressed to worry about who ordered you a pastry before 5:45 in the morning on a day you were definitely not planning on being up this early. Agent Anderson, though? He was suspicious.
As you sat down in the arm chairs just outside of the shop, he politely asked for the bag.
âWhy?â You said it with genuine confusion, but apparently he wasnât actually asking. He had the bag open and the contents dumped onto the table in a matter of seconds. A blueberry muffin, youâre favorite, and a napkin topple onto the surface of the table in front of you.
âAre FBI agents trained to waste perfectly good muffins?â Itâs hard to hide the slight mirth in your voice as you stare at the muffin that rolled of the table and onto the floor. Grant must not have heard you, or maybe he just chose to ignore you. He was still looking at the napkin. He took a picture on his phone before finally returning his attention to you. Of course, now your attention was trained on the napkin. It was your turn to move quickly, sliding it over to you and holding it out to prevent him from taking it back. The message on it was written in sloppy, rushed handwriting, but it was still legible.
âYou belong with me. Not him.â
âHis story is bound to have dust on every page when Iâm done with him.â
âThe slope was treacherous, the path reckless.â
âDo you think thereâs enough blank space for him?â
You arenât proud of the first thought that popped into your head. It was true, but you still wouldâve liked to think your first thought would somehow tell you where Spencer was. Or at least be about Spencer, but no.
So rude of him to use my own lyrics for this.Â
You moved passed it quickly though, ignoring the fear you felt at seeing an unreleased lyric in front of you. There must be some sort of clue in the note. Why would he leave it for me if he doesnât want me to find him? Grant managed to snatch the napkin out of your hand, but you had already read it. The damage was done.
âY/N. You cannot leave this hotel. The team will find him. They know what theyâre doing.â His words were a warning. One you intended to ignore.
âFine. Iâm going to get another muffin.â You tried to sound normal, but thatâs probably what gave you away. Nobody would sound normal in this scenario. It didnât matter if he figured out your plan though. You had a distraction for him. You waved at the barista as you walked into the shop.
âHi, can I get another muffin? Accidentally dropped mine, whoops!â You smiled at her in a conspiratorial kind of way before leaning closer. âBy the way, my friend over thereâ you nodded toward the agent who hadnât taken his eyes off you as you walked away, âhe thinks youâre cute. You should go talk to him!â Before you knew it, she was out from behind the counter, waving to her colleague to get you a muffin. She stood right in front of Grant, twirling her hair, but more importantly blocking his view of you.
You didnât wait for the muffin. You slipped out the side door that lead straight to the main street, repeating the clues in your head. Dust. Treacherous. Blank Space.
 Somewhere dirty, dangerous, and empty?
Ideas are flying through your head, but they donât make any sense. The clues arenât specific enough to tell you everything. It has to be somewhere youâve been. Realization hits you as if a piano just fell out of the sky.
The arena. There was a staircase and some back rooms that were closed for construction. Dust, check. Unsafe conditions, check. Empty rooms, check. That has to be it.
You hail a cab, texting Hotch once you are on route to your destination. You know heâs going to tell you to stay put, but you want to make sure he knows where to go.
âThe arena. They were doing construction.â You put your phone on airplane mode before returning it to your bag.
You expect to arrive at the arena to see it surrounded by black SUVs and police cars, but everything is eerily quiet. You must have beaten them there somehow. You pay your driver before walking up to the main doors. It seems like the best plan of action is to get inside and then find the construction zone. Weirdly enough, the front door is unlocked.
The sound of your shoes hitting the floor echoes in your mind as you wander through the building. It should be a fairly straightforward path, but youâre all turned around. Everything feels different. Itâs no longer the nervous butterflies you get right before you perform. The syrup is coming back, only this time itâs pulling you in every direction except for the one you want to go in. Youâre fighting your own sense of self preservation. Your brain is screaming at you to leave. You arenât trained for this. Youâre barely trained for anything that doesnât involve music. But there is a part of you that still feels like this is all your fault. Maybe if you had just talked to him that day things would be different. You couldâve prevented all of this. MaybeâŚ
The sound of Spencerâs voice pulls you forward. He sounds like heâs in pain, but the words are powerful.
âSheâs not going to come. Even if she does get the note, there is no way the FBI would let her anywhere near the building.â
More guilt overwhelms you. Itâs as if, all at once, the extreme stupidity of your actions hits you. You are putting Spencerâs life at risk. Hell, you are endangering the lives of any agent who has to walk into this building to protect you. You donât know what will happen to Grant. You left him behind when all he was trying to do was protect you. You made it so he couldnât do his job properly.
Your body leans into the nearest wall with a soft thud. You barely heard it, but it was apparently loud enough for Joshua.
âSomeoneâs hear.â His voice sounds playful, as if heâs really enjoying this. âLetâs hope for your sake itâs her.â Youâre frozen in place as the footsteps grow closer and closer. You canât hide. You canât run. You canât do anything except wait for him to walk around the corner and see you standing there.
Seeing him again isnât like you thought it would be. You thought youâd be angered. Mostly, youâre just tired. Multiple panic attacks in one day could do that to a person. You also probably had a concussion that was influencing how you processed the emotional side of everything going on.
Seeing Spencer was different than expected as well. There was no huge wave of relief at discovering he was relatively unhurt. You felt relief, but it was like a tiny puddle surrounded by an ocean of guilt and sadness. There was mostly guilt, and no matter what anyone said before it felt different now. He was only in this position because of you. If he had not have been the one to go undercover, he wouldnât have been targeted. And, it was your brilliant idea that landed him undercover in the first place.
He looked so panicked at the sight of you. A flurry of emotions ran across his face before settling back into a carefully controlled blank stare.
You wanted to run to him, but you couldnât move. Yes, Josh was holding your arm in a grip sure to leave bruises, but your legs also felt like jelly. You kept thinking over and over that you shouldnât have come. That you are only making everything worse. That everyone elseâs jobs are so much harder now that youâve put yourself here. Spencer must see it written on your face because the first thing he says after you enter the room is âItâs not your fault.â
Hearing it from him, youâre almost inclined to believe it. All you can do is nod, tears springing to your eyes.
Josh isnât pleased with you sharing any sort of a moment with Spencer. He somehow tightens his hold on your arm, drawing a slight yelp from you. You try to remember what Hotch told you that first night. It feels like it happened months ago, but maybe you can talk your way out of this by remembering something useful. Or at least talk Spencerâs way out of it. Youâve been listening to him talk about profiling for the past week, time to put your skills to the test.
âIâm here now. You can let him go.â You donât know who is more shocked at your words. Yourself, Josh, or Spencer. Youâve never seen Spencer speechless, but apparently you trying to talk down a psychopath who is obsessed with you and rapidly devolving is enough to manage the feat.
Josh pulls a gun from the waistband of his pants. He throws you into the wall before angrily pacing through the room.
âJosh, look at me.â It takes everything in you to pretend like this is a script. As if you are playing a role in a movie. âYou have me. We can be together, but you have to let Spencer go.â Heâs staring right into your eyes, trying to read your thoughts.
âYouâre lying. He has to die, or heâll always come between us.â He slowly raises the gun, not quite pointing it at any one, but enough to cause your heart rate to soar.
âJosh, think about it. Iâve known you for so much longer than Iâve known him.â You nearly choke on the next words that come out of your mouth. âHeâs not important to me. Not like you.â
âSTOP LYING TO ME. I KNOW WHAT I SAW.â Oh no. No no no. Heâs frantically waving the gun around the room as you inch closer to Spencer. You notice movement near the door you came in, but you donât have time to investigate. When Josh aims his gun at Spencer, you donât think before you act- a recurring theme with you today. With all the grace of a newborn deer learning to walk for the first time, you jump in front of Spencer right as the gun goes off.
Youâre not sure if itâs an echo but you wouldâve sworn you heard two resounding bangs instead of just one.
Spencer catches you as you fall to the ground, bleeding from the bullet wound in your abdomen.
âSpence,â you take a shuttering breath, trying to gain the strength to talk to him.
âShh, Y/N. Itâs okay. Youâre going to be okay.â He turns to yell at someone out of your view. âI need a medic! Now!â He sounds just as panicked as he looked earlier.
âIâm sorry.â You squeeze his hand when he tries to interrupt you again. âIâm sorry, for coming, but not for sav-saving you. The world- it needs you to pr-pro-protect people. Th-thank you. For every,â you couch a bit as you try to get the words out. âFor everything.â You know he is remembering your heartfelt speech to him and Morgan from a few days ago, or at least you hope he is. The last thing you say before your vision fades to black feels so random in comparison. âDonât blame Grant.â
 --
âSpence,â your breathing is choppy and rough, contrasting the smooth skin beneath his fingertips as he assesses your wound.
âShh. Y/N. Itâs okay. Youâre going to be okay.â His thoughts are running wild with everything he wants to say to you, but he canât get anything meaningful to come out. Instead heâs yelling for a medic, frantically looking at all the faces of his closest friends. âI need a medic! Now!â He can hear the panic in his voice, but no amount of training or profiling knowledge can get him to control his emotions.
âIâm sorry.â He tries to interrupt you. To tell you itâs not your fault. That you did everything right. That Joshâs profile said he wouldnât back down without a fight. Anything, but you squeeze his hand and he canât breathe, let alone speak. âFor coming, but not for sav-saving you. The world- it needs you to pr-pro-protect people. Th-thank you. For every,â he leans in closer, wishing he could do anything to stop your pain. âFor everything.â He canât help but replay your previous conversation with Morgan. Tears are falling down his face, but he canât bring himself to care.
âDonât blame Grant.â It takes him the entire ride to the hospital to understand why you mentioned Anderson. Even with your brain shutting down from a lack of blood flow, you were still trying to make sure nobody was blamed for your actions.
He barely listens to the EMTs and the hospital staff as he watches them wheel you back through the all too familiar âAuthorized Personnel Onlyâ doors.
Spencer doesnât bother to hide his emotions when the rest of the team arrive. He doesnât have the energy in him to muster enough energy to hide how heâs feeling from the group of profilers. They all come to the same realization simultaneously. Spencer is a wreck. Thereâs no other way to describe it. He spent hours in the waiting room before anyone could even convince him to wash your blood off his hands.
He just keeps thinking about how he didnât get to say goodbye. Hell, he didnât really say anything. You were bleeding out in front of him, having just jumped in front of a bullet to save him, and still you had more strength than he did in the moment.
Another few hours later and he still hasnât said a word. JJâs tried. Derekâs tried. Hotch, Penelope, and Emily tried. Nobody can get through to him. Heâs either pacing back and forth or staring at a wall. Of course, his mind is racing, the words just donât come out of his mouth.
He thinks about how much he hates hospitals. He goes over how germ-ridden every surface is, how much money is spent on healthcare in America, how many people are pronounced dead in hospitals- and then he cuts his own train of thought off.
He thinks about the statistics of gunshot wounds next. Heâs hyper focused on how clean shots with an exit wound are less lethal, but yours didnât have and exit wound so that meant you were less likely to survive- and again he cuts himself off.
Heâs begging his brain for happier thoughts. Anything that wonât lead him down the rabbit hole of statistics and how likely you are to die. He clings to the first memory that pops into his head. The night he first saw you.
Hotch, Emily, and Spencer arrived at the arena while the show was still going, if the fireworks were any clue. Normally, one flash of a badge would get the team through any checkpoint, but security at this place was no joke. They called to confirm the identities of the agents before escorting them to the head of security.
Thatâs when Spencer saw you for the first time. Hotch was arguing with the head of security, a woman named Carrie. Emily was interjecting, trying to convey how important it was that the three agents speak to you immediately without giving away any details about the case. Spencer, if not for his eidetic memory, would have no idea what had been said. His attention was drawn elsewhere when you ran off the stage.
He knew it was the last song of the night because of what Carrie was saying. It was clear to them she was stalling the team, so you could finish the show everyone was there to see.
You had a bright smile on your face, but it seemed off to Spencer. There was a slight sadness in your eyes, and he wanted nothing more than to ask you why. The feeling perplexed him. Heâs never been a social butterfly, but your presence was captivating.
He watched your smile transform into genuine happiness when you slid your arms into a new jacket for the final performance, and he wanted to ask about that to. He wanted to learn everything he could about you.
He wouldâve thought his heart had skipped a beat when you made eye contact, but he knew logically he wouldâve required medical attention had that actually happened. The moment was brief. Your expression, although still happy, transformed into slightly quizzical when you glanced at the three agents. He watched as you thought about who they could be before discarding all thoughts from your mind to focus on the grand finale. He kept watching as you ran back on stage, the smile only growing in size and authenticity when you looked out at the crowd.
He replays that memory in his mind, all the while ignoring the concerned glances and attempts at conversation from his friends. He desperately clings to the way he felt during that 30 second interaction.
He doesnât understand the feelings that started in that moment. Itâs like as soon as he saw you, something in him shifted. He canât explain it. Heâs not blind. He saw the smirks and subtle glances the other profilers were giving when they saw him interact with you. He was just as surprised by his willingness to comfort you, both emotionally and physically. Heâs never been one for touching people he doesnât know. Thereâs too many germs. But with you, everything is different... With you, he wants it all. Every little thing.Â
Spencer has never believed in love at first sight. Heâs always been too practical, has always thought too logically. But, after the tenth time reliving that moment, he still has no other explanation for the desire he felt. The desire he still feels to learn everything there is to know about you.
All week, heâs chalked it up to his inquisitive mind. Heâs always loved learning, so that must have been what was happening here. Heâs never spent any considerable amount of time with a musician before, so itâs only natural that he would want to learn from the experience.
Thatâs a much easier explanation to accept than love. People canât fall in love in a week. Even if it was a week spent nonstop with each other. But something in the back of his mind was screaming at Spencer to tell himself the truth.
And so he did. And it only confused him more. Heâs a man of science. Proving theories with facts, not emotion. Of course, heâs always wanted to be in love, but life has shown him again and again that it wasnât probable for him. Thatâs why he nearly fell out of the chair he was in when the realization dawned on him.
âI havenât had enough time.â Itâs barely a whisper, but all his friends are right there hanging on his every word. They wear cautious expressions, as if he could be easily spooked back into silence.
âEnough time for what, kid?â Morganâs voice is uncharacteristically soft. Even in his most calming moments, Derek always puts power behind his words. Itâs why heâs so good at helping people, but this is different. He can tell Spencer is hurting, and he doesnât want to spook him back into complete silence.
âIâve barely scratched the surface. I have so much left to learn.â Although heâs still whispering, Spencerâs voice is growing more frantic as he looks between the concerned and confused faces staring back at him. His brain is moving too fast to really explain the thought process going on inside. He canât put into words how it wasnât love at first sight, but rather the desire to love you. He saw you and just knew he could love you. That desire to learn everything about you somehow turned into love in the span of a week. Before he can fall even deeper into the rabbit hole heâs found himself in, Spencer is jolted out of his head by the feeling of Rossiâs hands gripping his shoulders.
âI know, kid. Youâll have more time.â Rossiâs words are so confident, Spencer has no choice but to accept them as fact. His heart slows back down to a normal pace. His breathing becomes more regular. His legs stop bouncing. His hands stop fidgeting. And he accepts the comforting words from his family.
 --
Youâre running. You donât know where you are. You donât know how you got here. But you know youâre running.
You feel at ease. You donât know why. You know it to be true though. You feel safe. Peaceful.
You try to look around. Try to figure out why youâre running. Are you running toward something? Away from something? For fun? It feels fun.
You hear voices. It sounds like laughter. Slowly, you put the pieces together.
Youâre in your backyard. Playing with your children. Yours and Spencerâs children. Thereâs three of them. All girls. The youngest is 4. The other two 6. Twins. You have twins with Spencer. You bask in the joy of it all.
Youâre running because youâre playing tag. With your daughters and Spencer. Heâs got the all teamed up against you. It feels unfair, but you wouldnât change it for the world.
Thereâs a song playing in your head. One youâve never heard before. Itâs beautiful though. So happy. Youâll have to write it down. Find out if youâve written it in the moment or if you are simply remembering it from long ago.
You still canât remember how you got here. All you remember is dark. And cold.
Dark and cold. Dark. Cold. A gunshot.
The memory is foggy, but itâs there. The scene in front of you changes. The song is still playing. Its positivity doesnât match the scene.
Itâs like youâre watching a movie. Spencer is holding you. You squeeze your eyes shut. You want to go back.
 Back to your kids.
Back to being happy with Spencer.
Back to running. Playing. Being in love.
Then you hear beeping. Itâs quiet at first. Drowned out by the song in your head.
Then the song is getting quieter. The beeping getting louder.
Then the song is gone. You can only hear the beeping.
You remember everything when you open your eyes. It comes back to you like a wave crashing over your head, dragging you back into the ocean.
Instead of focusing on the trauma, you focus on the song.
It only takes 30 seconds for you to find your phone on the table next to your bed, open it to the voice memos app, and start recording.
You sing as much of the song as you can remember. Itâs not hard since the feelings behind it are so strong. The first verse comes from the forth night you spent with Spencer. You couldnât sleep so you convinced him to get coffee with you. It didnât take much convincing for the coffee part since heâs pretty much addicted to the stuff. It took some convincing for him to agree to where you wanted to go though. You wanted to go back to his favorite coffee shop, but he said you could just get some in the hotel. You managed to convince him to go though. He insisted on driving since he now knew you didnât like it much. The gesture did not go unnoticed. You knew he didnât like driving either.
The chorus, second verse, bridge, and breakdown are jumbled, but theyâre all there. Itâs harder to get it right because itâs not coming from memories of you time with Spencer. Itâs coming from what you hope to do with him. After a few tries, youâve got the whole thing in order.
You lay back in your bed, the song replaying in your mind as you fall back asleep.
 --
5 hours and 42 minutes. Itâs been 5 hours and 42 minutes since you were wheeled into surgery. Every member of the team has gone up to ask about your condition at least once.
The nurse theyâve been bombarding with questions walks into the room and immediately all eyes are on her.
She escorts the team out of the waiting area into a private room before she says anything. âSince Ms. L/N is a high profile patient, we have a certain protocol to follow. All I can tell you right now is that sheâs out of surgery, and sheâs stable. Her security team is on the way and will need to approve any and all visitors. Once approved, her doctor can give you more information.â And then she leaves before any questions can be thrown at her.
Everyone breathes a collective sigh of relief when they hear that youâre stable. That relief is replaced by frustration when they realize they have to wait to see you. Especially for Spencer. If he could walk more than two steps in this tiny room, heâd be pacing it. Once he starts rambling, not a single team member dare to interrupt him.
It must have been 25 minutes of fidgeting, mumbling, and checking their watches before Carrie walked into the room, interrupting Spencerâs rant.
âI donât see why our badges arenât enough proof that we can- Carrie. Finally, can we go see her now?â Based on the look in Spencerâs eyes, anything other than an affirmative answer would not end well.
âSpencer, of course. I just had to confirm your identity in person. Itâs standard procedure when sheâs in the hospital. For safety reasons. The doctor should be coming in any minute and she can take us to her room.â As if on cue, the doctor walked in.
âHello everyone, sorry to keep you waiting. Ms. L/Nâs surgery went very well. The bullet was removed and all the internal bleeding was stopped before it got too bad. As you know, weâve got her in a private room. She can have visitors, but limit it to one or two people at a time. Do you have any questions?â
Spencer knows somewhere in his mind that he should ask the doctor everything about your condition, but he can barely keep it together enough to shake his head no. He doesnât trust himself with words right now.
âAlright, follow me to her room.â A parade of agents, along with Carrie, follow the doctor down twisting hallways to the private wing. âNow, remember one or two at a time. Last I checked, she was still asleep.â Spencerâs gaze drifts from the doctor to look at you through the window. At first glance, he wouldâve sworn your eyes were open, but when he looked back again they were closed.
âOnce I go in there, Iâm not coming back out until sheâs awake.â He turned to the rest of the group.
âSpence, itâs okay. You go in. Let us know when sheâs awake.â JJ gave him a reassuring hug before her and the rest of the team wandered back to the waiting room.
Spencer and Carrie walked in slowly, as if any sudden movement could hurt you. For the first time in his life, Spencerâs mind was completely empty.
There were no statistics. No miscellaneous facts. Nothing.
He looked at you, asleep in a hospital bed after you saved his life, and he allowed himself to just feel.
It took a strange amount of concentration for him to only feel. His brain wants to butt in with statistics about the surgery or to count your breathing so he will notice any change in the pattern. But, he blocks it out. For you.
He sits down in the chair beside your bed, grabs your hand in his, lays his head on the side of your bed, and feels everything.
He feels all the love heâs been denying for the past week. He feels all the relief of knowing you are okay. He feels all the pain of watching you slip away from him. He feels everything heâs ever blocked out with numbers and statistics. And itâs exhausting. To feel so much at once.
Without thinking about it, he feels his eyes grow heavier with each added emotion.
 Love.
Relief.
Pain.
Sadness.
Greif.
Anger.
Fear.
Gratitude.
Happiness.
Just the prospect of being happy is heavy enough that Spencer falls asleep.
The first thing he notices is that heâs running. Heâs chasing someone. But not like he normally has to. No. Thereâs no unsub. Nobody is in danger. Heâs playing a game. With children. His children. His and Y/Nâs children. He has three daughters. The twins are older, around 6. The youngest is 4. They are helping him chase their mom. His wife. Heâs built quite a future for himself in his head. He listens to the sounds of laughter, memorizing each individualâs laugh.
He feels something squeeze his hand and heâs awake. Groggy, but awake. He wants to go back to the dream. To remember what pure happiness feels like.
Then he remembers where he is. And why heâs there. The grogginess is gone. Heâs alert in an instant. Heâs looking at you, but you arenât focused. Youâre mumbling under your breath, looking for something in the sheets with your one free hand.
âMy phone. Whereâs my phone? Was it real? Did I dream it?â You seem so flustered, and he canât fathom why your phone could be so important, but he finds it for you nonetheless.
âThank you!â He watches as you rapidly open your phone, intently staring at the screen as if it might disappear.
âWhat are you-â Before he can finish the thought, a voice- no, your voice is playing from your phone.
âIt was realâŚâ You are clearly in a daze, but the happiness in your voice is contagious. Suddenly Spencer is smiling, pulling you closer to him as the lyrics to your song play in the background. He peppers soft kisses over any piece of skin he can reach. Your giggles fill him with even more love. Even more happiness.
When the two of you finally separate, he asks the first question he can think of. âWhen did you write this?â
You think back to your dream. The love. The joy. The pure happiness. You feel Spencer brushing the tears off your cheeks before you even realized you were crying. âIt came to me in a dream. I⌠I guess I woke up earlier and I wanted to remember it. The dream. The song. It was all so beautiful. So happy. You were there. And then when I woke up I just recorded everything I could remember.â
Spencer is looking at you with such adoration that you almost feel shy. You want more than anything for that dream to be a reality. Not right away obviously, but in the future for sure.
âItâs beautiful.â His words are soft and low.
âItâs about you.â If you werenât in a hospital bed, you might be inclined to think you were still in a dream. âAbout us.â
âI love it. I love you.â Spencer whispers the words into your skin. Almost like it was involuntary, it slipped out like a breath.
âI love you too.â He kisses you again, before the sound of the door opening breaks you two apart.
Carrie rushes in when she sees youâre awake, not realizing the moment that had just occurred.
âOh, Y/N. Iâm so glad youâre okay!â She squeezes you lightly in a one armed hug, the other hand carrying a tray of coffees and a paper bag. âI brought coffee for Spencer and a scone for you!â
âWell, I hope you poured a mountain of sugar into it. He likes it sweet.â You turn to smile at the man only to find him already looking at you.
âOnly as sweet as you.â You laugh at the cheesiness of the moment, but you blush anyway, squeezing his hand. âThank you, Carrie, for the coffee. I should go let the team know youâre awake.â He kisses your forehead before he walks out of the room.
âOh honey, you have a lot to fill me in on.â Carrie is looking at you with the biggest smirk youâve ever seen. She has been your head of security for 4 years, and the two of you have become close friends through all the crazy experiences. Although, nothing as crazy as this.
âWhat do you mean? I told you I thought he was cuteâŚâ You really have no hope of hiding this from her, but you can mess with her a little bit.
âYeah, but kissing you on the forehead? Calling you sweet in the corniest of ways? Whatâs going on? Tell me!!â You could leave her hanging, but you are really feeling the need to gush.
âI wrote him a song. In my dream. I think it conveys everything pretty clearly.â You play the song for her, again remembering how you felt in the dream. When itâs over youâre nearly in tears again.
âItâs stunning. Just so beautiful. Iâm glad youâve found someone who makes you so happy.â You can tell sheâs nervous about something, and youâve got a pretty good idea of what.
âCarrie, donât worry about me. I really think heâs the one. Iâve never felt this strongly, especially so fast. And I know what youâre thinking, fast might not be good, but weâve spent so much time together. I mean, think about it. How long does the average date last? 2, 3 hours? At that rate, weâve already been on roughly 37 dates! And thatâs if you donât count the hours we spent sleeping, which we also did together!â
Carrie snorts at that. âYeah, sleeping.â
âNo, I mean actually sleeping.â You try to stress the point. âHe kissed me once, but the rest of the time was spent getting to know each other, writing songs, him working on the case, and sleeping. Eyes closed, pajamas on, sleeping.â
Her eyes soften, the smile on her face widening before she responds. âOkay. I wonât worry⌠too much.â Youâre just about to tell her about the dream when the door opens again.
Penelope comes storming into the room with flowers and a teddy bear, whisper shouting about how happy she is that youâre okay. Just before you turn to give her your full attention, you can see Derek and Spencer talking in the hall.
 --
âCome on Pretty Boy, whatâs going on there?â Derekâs wearing his usual smirk for whenever Spencerâs love life is concerned.
âWhat do you mean?â Try as he might, Hell would have to freeze over for Derek to stop this line of questioning.
âI mean, I see how you look at her. Hell, we all watched you fall apart in the waiting room. Whatâs the deal? Câmon man, fill me in!â Spencer doesnât know how to describe it. He doesnât know how to convert the emotions heâs recently accepted into words, so he tries something else.
âShe wrote me a song.â Spencerâs words are wistful. Heâs transported himself back into dreamland. Back to the kids and the games. Back to happiness.
âKid, itâs more than that. She wrote all of us songs.â Derekâs words cause the dream to sleep away yet again. .
âNo, well yes. Although technically we wrote that song about me together. I mean, she wrote me an entire song. In a dream.â This time, Derek replies too quickly for him to slip back into the dream.
âReid. Youâre not making sense. You dreamt that she wrote you a song?â Derekâs words are comforting, like heâs trying to figure out the best way to help Spencer convey his emotions without pushing him too far.
âNo. She said after her surgery, she had a dream. About me. About⌠us. The song was playing in the background.â Derek nods, finally understanding his friend.
âOkay, so what was the song about?â Again, his words are soft.
âUs. The time weâve spent together and the time she wants us to spend together in the future.â Itâs taken Derek this long into the conversation to realize why Spencer seems so out of it. Heâs happy. Heâs not faking it. Heâs not hiding behind statistics. Heâs just happy. Plain and simple.
âAnd thatâs what you want to?â He canât help but smile, really truly smile, at the pure look of adoration that Spencer wears when he looks through the window at you.
âMore than anything.â Derek pulls him into a hug. Normally, hugs like this are typically reserved for when they just saved each other or after a particularly bad case. This case, although involving Spencerâs kidnapping and a trip to the hospital, had a rather positive outcome.
 âGood. You deserve it man.â
 --
A few days later and you are itching to leave the hospital. Youâve been working to reschedule your tour dates so you can fully recover before performing again, but even with that itâs incredibly boring to be stuck in the hospital for so long.
âGood news. You can leave the hospital tomorrow!â Spencer walks in, followed by the rest of the BAU team. Theyâve been taking turns visiting you, something you suspect Spencer asked them to do, but you donât really mind. Youâve actually become good friends with most of them.
âYay!â Before too much celebration can occur, youâre passing out USBs to each team member. âIâm glad youâre all hear. I managed to record some preliminary versions of your songs! Listen to them whenever youâd like, or donât thatâs cool too. Either way, Iâll make sure to get you the properly recorded versions when I get a chance to go into the studio. I included some thoughts about other inspirationsas well, so donât feel bad if there is a lyric that doesnât really match you.â The majority of the team give you thanks and endless praise before Hotch clears his throat.
âOur songs? Did I miss something?â You chuckle at that. The man clearly doesnât miss anything ever.
âNobody told you? The first day I met you all, Pen asked me to write a song inspired by her. Trust me, it wasnât hard. Sheâs a fountain of inspiration. Then when I was waiting for Spence to get back so we could go to the hotel, I came up with one or two for everyone!â You canât tell if Hotch is more or less concerned now than when he was out of the loop.
âSo I have a song? What is it?â The rest of the team canât hide their smirks. Itâs clear they never get to see their boss act this nervous.
âWell, itâs on the CD!â He groans at the idea of waiting when everyone else already knows. âBut, since everyone else got a sneak peak, Iâll give you one too. Wasnât it beautiful running wild till you fell asleep? Before the monsterâs caught up to you⌠Itâs okay, just wait and see. Your string of lights is still bright to me. Oh, who you are is not where youâve been. Youâre still an innocent.â You give everyone a minute to think about the lyrics before the silence is too much for you to take.
âIâm sorry if thatâs weird! Itâs just, the first time I saw you, and there was this look in your eyes. In all of your eyes, but yours the most.â You are looking straight at Hotch. âLike youâve been through some really terrible things, and maybe you had to do some things that can be hard to deal with. But, that doesnât make you a bad person or anything, ya know? Thatâs where the inspiration came fromâŚâ You canât tell if your rambling helped or not. The profilers are so hard to read. Pen is subtly crying near the side of your bed, so you pull her in for a hug. Before you know it, the rest of the team is joining in.
âItâs not weird at all. You are pretty good at reading people, ever consider becoming a profiler?â Hotch is clearly trying to lighten the mood, but his expression conveys how much he appreciates the song.
âI think this will be my first and last case. Clearly Iâm not that great at talking down the bad guy.â You shudder to think of putting yourself in that position again.
âFrom what I heard, you did a pretty decent job. The ending was exactly what we expected unfortunately. Plus, you can definitely hold your own. I heard you flipped Morgan over your shoulder like a ragdoll.â Rossiâs comment earns laughs from the entire group.
âPlease, I just caught him off guard. Although, I donât think Iâll ever forget the look on his face afterwards.â Again, the groups laughs. âI just wanted to thank you all. For protecting me, but also for visiting me so much. You really know how to see the positive side of things.â
âAnyone willing to jump in front of a bullet for Spencer is definitely a friend of ours.â JJ chimes in.
You canât help but truly smile at the team. It seems youâve found yourself another family, and you couldnât be more grateful.

Delicate steel.
Chapter 4
Rachel literally fell out of the building, covering her mouth with her hand and leaning over the cold iron handrails, spat the bitter taste of alcohol on the asphalt. Her head was buzzing, her hands were wadded up, and the fabric of her black shorts was soaked through with beer, sticking viciously to her body, and Raven found herself trying to count how many fingers she had on her hand.
Oh, she was in a complete mess and this is one of the worst decisions of her life..
A week before.
A gust of cold wind blew, a page of Rachel's textbook gave in to it, but the girl just calmly continued to sit in place. It was a lunch break, at this time of the year, usually all the students preferred being in warm buildings with heating and no one pokes into the street, so Rachel Roth went there with a cheerful gait.
She looked around the empty yard and noticed a large spreading tree in a remote part of the territory, and went there.
Raven sighed softly, finally getting rid of the stuffy rooms and the walls pressing down on her. Today seemed to be preparing her for the meat of something shitty and quietly mocked her without wasting a minute. In the morning, she spilled coffee on her jeans and there seemed to be nothing to put on others, but her mother reported too late that all the few things Raven had that reached at least to her knees were left in the laundry, so after glancing sullenly at herself in the mirror before going out, Roth continued to adjust the edges of the dark skirt that seemed too short to her.
She had no particular love for things that, with a slight gust of wind, could easily disgrace her. Sometimes it seemed to Rachel that she was naked, even though her legs were hidden under the thick material of black tights, but this did not save her from feeling insecure and a certain fear.
Raven was about to put up with the fact that she would go in jeans with a taste of coffee, as her mother did not tolerate any objections, waved her away and just as quickly shoved the girl into the car, offering to take her to school.
The day promised to be outstanding when the fifth whistle reached Raven, and after even more stupid words of teenagers at her school, and the girl was finally convinced of her hatred for this wardrobe item. She measured these stupid asses with a contemptuous look, squaring her shoulders and barely restrained herself from showing them a dirty gesture in response. Even if she felt naked and confused under their greasy gazes, she would not have given them the pleasure to find out about it.
For this reason, Rachel was immensely glad when she went out into the street, she came across only a lonely asphalt and a dim sun in the sky. It was cloudy, it seemed that the air was saturated with moisture and the sun's rays only occasionally reached the ground. Yes, it was cold, especially the hardships of the weather were felt in the skirt, but it was much better than sitting and listening to the students talking about their ass.
The girl shoved her phone into the very bottom of her denim bag and tried to concentrate in silence on the books scattered around her.
It took some time before Rachel's eyes refused to accept new letters and leaning back against the trunk of a tree, she literally felt someone else's presence, and then a mountain of muscles obscured her field of vision, and the smell of cologne hit her nose. Roth made an irritated face. She had a strange ability to recognize a person without even looking at him.
â "You're as beautiful as ever, Rachel." she knew the owner of such a smug voice and did not want to look at his even more smug face.
Rachel chuckled vaguely. She wasn't in the mood for conversation.
Especially with him.
"What do you want, Wilde?" he chuckled. "And as friendly as ever, my lady." " Raven gave him a cold look from under her lashes, and then went back to reading. History had never been her favorite subject, but it was much more interesting than watching Jonathan Wild and listening to his stupid flirting. He hadn't ambiguously annoyed her at school for several weeks, had he come all this way just to talk to her?
Raven was not the most desirable girl at school and did not try to attract attention to herself as many did, but simply lived by studying and this should logically provide her with a quiet life, but as they say, nothing is impossible and by some miracle it was the local football leader who fell on her. To the envy of the others and unfortunately for Rachel, but she found it extremely annoying and problematic for herself.
Her goal was to attract as little attention to herself as possible, and this pompous mountain of muscles and testosterone literally broke all her plans, considering for herself as her own law that every girl was crazy about him as soon as he appeared within a radius of ten meters. So, to get rid of him, the only thing she needed was like a breath of fresh air on a stuffy evening, and Raven barely restrained the rude comment that was ready to escape from her lips when Wilde sank down next to her on the withered grass and frowned disgustedly at his expensive designer jeans.
Is the big boy afraid of bugs?
Raven wanted to leave this place before he said anything else annoying and annoying. Of course, she could have stayed where she was and pretended that Wilde simply did not exist, enjoying further joyful solitude, but something in his gaze alerted her Mouth. She had already turned to take her backpack and get as far away from here as possible, when she felt a heavy hand on her shoulder, and then she was pulled back, making Rachel instinctively twitch at this touch.
Physical contact was never something pleasant for Rachel, and even more so when someone so unceremoniously interfered with her personal boundaries.
And? It seems to me, or his hand really lies on my shoulder
The thought made Roth frown. She turned her head in the direction of the teenager, caught in his, at the very moment when his lips stretched into a narcissistic smile and Raven felt anger creep under her skin, making it hiss like a snake and spraying blood in her veins. Rachel hadn't always been so aggressive, but his actions had awakened old fragments of memories in her, her brain was convulsively thinking and she couldn't restrain herself. At least, that's what she wanted to think.
She felt rage and irritability drown her head in one, her eyes went dark, and her lungs seemed to be on fire, and Raven tried to start breathing again.
"Come on Raven" - Roth was going to roughly shut him up before he said anything else, but her words stuck in her throat like a lump. â" I understand that you are new and you must be embarrassed by such attention from a guy like me, but, honey, don't be shy. When I saw you today in this charming skirt..". â Raven felt his gaze darting boldly over her body, and the corner of his lips lifted in a vulgar grin and she felt a wild need to hit him between the eyes. She jerked sharply again, ignoring his plaintive sigh when she probably hit him on the liver, trying to get rid of his obsessive hand on her body, finding it rather frightening that he was so much stronger than her and John, noticing his pressure and the girl's tightly compressed lips, pulled away, but still not giving Raven final freedom.
He smiled again, thinking that the sight of his snow-white teeth would relax the situation and it seemed that he did not care at all about what was happening right in front of him. John took a quick glance at the only entrance to the courtyard where he and Raven were, and his eyes darkened, shimmered with a strange shine. His hand came out from behind his back and wrapped around the girl's waist like a snake.
This left Rachel with no questions about why he had found her. And it made her lower lip tremble, from a moment of anger that came over her.
Raven looked at him carefully, noticing that despite the way he smiled sweetly and made eyes, pretending to be a completely relaxed person, his fists were tightly clenched, and sometimes his breathing was interrupted. Roth had no idea about him, except for a wild boy's fantasy in his head and a passionate love for football, and this was a dangerous fact for her.
"You know you're just wasting your time with me, Wilde," Rachel said through tightly clenched teeth.
She ran her hand down her skirt, lightly brushing the pocket of her hoodie, and she frowned before her hands itched, ready to beat herself. Roth had heard rumors a couple of times about Wilde's sudden change of mood when he refused girls, but these were just stupid rumors and Raven had no desire to check them. For some reason, that didn't stop her from thinking about her folding knife.
Of course, it was today that you didn't take your knife to Rachel Roth.
She was sure that her mother had checked ryukaz before leaving. It made Raven groan in resignation.
"Maybe, but it makes the thought of you even sweeter." - Roth wasn't even going to think about what thoughts about her were in Wilde's head, but for some reason it made her blue eyes turn black with anger. If he continued to behave in this way, Rachel was not sure that she would be able to restrain herself. Her brain was boiling, her breathing was sharp and ungainly, and she was almost afraid for her sudden change of mood, if she didn't know the reason. She felt her nails involuntarily dig into the soft fabric of her palms. She knew how dangerous she could be.
This is Wild, a local favorite and the best athlete in Data, whose cups are personally signed by the mayor of the city. And this Rachel, a girl who was expelled from a prestigious school for a fight and disliked the local teachers. Anyone who listens from the outside will burst into wild laughter, completely disbelieving and denying everything with the cells of his soul that such a handsome athlete harassed such as Raven. This caused a wave of rage in her.
Rachel was sure, or wanted to be sure, that he was just playing with her. But he wouldn't rape her in the middle of the day and in the school yard, would he? It was stupid, even for him.
But everything happened faster than she wanted and Raven heard him swear dirty, his football bomber creaked softly as John reached for Rachel's face, squeezing her chin and pulling her towards him, and she did not immediately realize that he was looking at nothing else but her lips.
She caught his hungry gaze, just at the moment when their faces were literally a centimeter apart, when her eyes were flooded with scarlet lead, and the cruel side of her character obscured all sane thoughts.
- !Rubbish!! Raven wasn't the one who went along with someone and restrained her anger, and before she could stop herself, her fist shot up and she heard his painful groan as Jonathan Wyald, like a beaten dog, jumped away from her.
She was sure that she would regret it later.
Raven was trembling with anger and the adrenaline in her blood exceeded the norm when she felt a wild burning in her hand and winced, wiping the blood on her knuckles on her black hoodie. It wasn't the first time Rachel had been involved in a fight, so she was sure that she had broken the guy's nose. She was enjoying the contorted and stunned expression on John's face as he fell on his back.
Raven jumped to her feet, too fast for her, regretting it when her eyes went dark for a moment and grabbed the bag from the ground with a trembling hand. I had to get as far away from here as possible.
â "You're going to regret this, bitch."his voice, low and guttural, turning into an animal growl, only vaguely resembled human speech, causing Raven to turn around.
Wilde's eyes were burning, they were fierce and animal with anger, his chest heaved and fell heavily, and in his hand he clutched the earth and the wreaths on his neck swelled and reddened. He was like a wild animal whose ego was deeply and painfully wounded.
Raven smiled dryly at his words.
She might regret it, but it would teach him manners.
Roth had already sent one like Jonathan Wild to a hospital bed a few years ago and then, without doing it earlier, this delay cost her the most expensive thing she had. She imagined in her place those girls who shuddered when John carelessly passed by, smiling and laughing, and they were afraid of male touches, and Rachel barely stopped herself from putting his head against the wall. She barely stopped her justice-hungry nature from breaking something else to the asshole.Raven always chose justice, but she had a separate place in Hell for people like Wilde. Thinking that they are allowed everything and not thinking about the consequences.
Roth swallowed the acrid lump in her throat and her eyes stung from wet tears. She roughly wiped her eyes with her sleeve and rushed towards the school without wasting a minute. Rachel was barely restraining herself from hysteria, she was still reeling from a fit of rage and Raven knew that if she didn't get out of there, her nerves would break like a guitar string. She felt that the sleeves of the hoodie had become wet and sticky, and her brain was trying to restrain the painful urges of her bleeding palms.
                            ======
The next day, Rachel came to school with her hands bandaged and already mentally prepared for the fact that the scandal and the drama of Wilde would spread throughout the school, but instead she found the usual situation and the absence of Jonathan himself.
He didn't show up for the next few days either, and Raven didn't know whether to be happy or cry.
She occasionally caught strange glances from the guys on his football team, but she wasn't going to treat it as something dangerously warning. They were always limited to just glances, and as long as it didn't interfere with Rachel's life, she just brushed it off as an annoying insect. But this did not escape the attention of her new friend.
Over the past couple of weeks, he and Amy had been communicating quite well, and Raven had to admit that she found her an interesting conversationalist.
Amelia did not require her to answer and girly chatter, occasionally joked about the name of Rachel and knew how to be everywhere and at the same time nowhere. She was a wild fan of rock bands, but became a victim of her conservative and domineering mother forcing her to be a lady even sitting on the toilet. And it also turned out that Amelia Rogers was considered an outcast at the Data school, which seemed crazy to Rachel. Even in her medieval dresses and bows on her hair, Amy did not stop being cheerful and perky and Raven had no idea how someone like Amelia was labeled an outcast.
Raven's sincere question, why the girl is considered an outcast, caused a wave of laughter and unrestrained laughter in Amy for several minutes and Roth simply left the topic alone.
It was recess, Raven was rummaging through the depths of her school locker, being annoyed and looking for a book, and Amelia Rogers was standing next to her, occasionally throwing her comments.
Amy took a close look at the football team's table and held out her hand, intrigued. â "I'm definitely sure that you did something wrong." Rachel took a sharp breath, hoping that it would remain unnoticed for Amelia, but the girl continued to study the table carefully with the athlete and Raven urged herself to calm down mentally. - "what?" she felt Amelia roll her eyes and continued in a tone as if Raven was five years old and they were learning numbers. - "Wilde has been missing for several days, and his friends are not taking their eyes off you and it all looks suspicious." - "Don't talk nonsense." - "Oh! You're a terrible liar, Rachel Roth." - "Maybe it's you who are bad at recognizing lies. "Raven snapped, feeling guilty when Amelia stared at her questioningly and immediately regretted her words. It wasn't Amy's fault that Rachel was a complete mess.
Rachel exhaled wearily, leaning her forehead against the cold metal and whispered softly. - "I'm sorry. " she heard Amy snort softly at her words and felt the girl immediately break into a smile. "Come on, you're allowed to be the Raven Queen." Rachel rolled her eyes at the silly nickname Rogers had given her â " And to be honest, Your Highness looks like a piece of shit." â "It's...just bad lighting here." Raven pouted slightly - "Continue to amuse yourself with this". Amelia clucked and waved her hand around Rachel's figures. â "That's all, literally radiates the energy of sullenness and lame shit." -" Thank you. "Raven scowled, pulling away from the cold metal and leaning her back against the lockers. She shoved her hands into the pockets of her dark jeans, took a slow breath and tried to force something like a smile out of herself. - "Bring back the sullenness, now you have such a look as if I'm torturing you." Amy said with a smile, but her eyes twinkled excitedly. "Oh, to hell with it". Raven grumbled, leaving Amelia standing by the lockers. "Yes, escape from reality, Rachel Roth, and return to your kingdom of darkness. " Rogers chuckled, catching up with the girl. It was at such moments that Rachel wondered how Amy became her friend. She shot a frown at her friend's remark, but it made Raven think and she stopped on the toes of her sneakers. She wasn't running away from reality, was she? She had no reason to.
"I can see that you've gone back to your terribly gloomy thoughts, but!" Amelia playfully played with her eyebrows, attracting Raven's attention as they turned to"wards the algebra classrooms. Rachel arched a! questioning eyebrow, wondering what had come to the girl's mind this time. They stopped at the entrance to the classroom when Rachel stared incredulously at Amelia, who had a cheeky grin on her lips and mentally asked herself how many times she would regret it. -" But?"
                              ======
Raven continued to ignore Amy's stupid idea of a party and was almost not surprised when she came h"ome to find angry text messages and a number of missed calls from Rogers. She felt a wild desire to erase this day from her memory and just put on her pajamas and go to bed. But during this time, she tormented herself with an argument with Amy.
â" I don't even want to know how you know about the party at the docks. " Raven grumbled into the phone, throwing herself on the bed. There was interference on the line and it seemed to the girl that someone was sneaking on the other end of the wire. â" I have connections, oh, my dear Rachel. "Amelia whispered. -" It sounds threatening...and why are you whispering?" -" Don't be such a bore and agree! "Amelia exclaimed sharply, and Raven restrained herself from covering her hands over her ears.
Rachel wondered why she was so caught up in this conversation, and not just tu"rned off her mobile phone. Roth was sure that she would not leave her room even at gunpoint, especially alcohol and sweaty people were never in a number of her priorities, so even the very essence of the conversation caused her irritation. She was grumbling, rubbing her eyes, still not understanding what Rogers was up to, puffing and mumbling into her phone, as if she was running from a herd of bulls.
â "I still don't understand how you're going to pull this off, living under the same roof with Mrs. Rogers." â "I have a plan." -" A plan? I hope I don't have just anyone involved in it." It was at this moment that Rachel caught a sound from the first floor and her mother's voice was heard on the phone. The girl's eyebrows shot up in surprise, she took the phone away from her face, listening to the sounds on the first floor and moaned in resignation, reproaching herself that she should have foreseen Amy's madness for this party.
Raven frowned and said angrily through her teeth.
â" Don't you dare say you're at my house." - all she heard before the line ended was a cheerful "Late", and then the front door in the hallway slammed shut and Angela chattered amiably on the first floor. Someone was having a nice conversation with her mother on the first floor, and knowing and confident in who exactly it was, Rachel wondered if it was too late to run, but she heard footsteps on the stairs, and then Angela came into her room and Amy's wide smile appeared in the doorway.
Rachel was going to wipe that smile off her face as soon as her mom stepped into her room.
-" Raven, why didn't you tell me that you and Amelia have a joint project?"
Do we have one?
Rachel stared at her mother with incomprehension, noticing how Amy was gesturing obscenely behind her back. Roth cleared her throat, quickly trying to correct herself and smiled at Angela. -" I'm sorry, Mom, I was just going to let you down and warn you, but I didn't know that Amelia would come so quickly. " this answer seemed to satisfy her mother. "Make yourself comfortable, honey, and call me if Raven doesn't feel well. Oh, I'll call right away and warn your mom that you're staying with us for the night, as you asked." Angela looked painfully happy, and Rachel wondered what Amy had already told her mother.
Asked for it?!
Rachel wasn't sure that she hadn't said it out loud and was extremely sorry that she hadn't put the locks on the door, continuing to watch in disbelief as Amy broke into an innocent smile that Raven knew wasn't innocent at all. The very presence of Rogers was the end of the world, and now Raven was well aware of the purpose of the" project", but still did not intend to participate in it.
Rachel narrowed her eyes dangerously when only she and Amy were left in the room. â" And how do understand this?" â" This is my last attempt to persuade your evil ass to come to the party." Rachel grumbled irritably, rubbing her face. â "Why me? I think I made it clear that I don't look like a lover of parties and crowds of people...especially as you suggest that I do it when you personally told my mother about our "project"." "Oh, don't fuck with me, Rachel Roth. My mother on the eve of the evening read me another monologue about how you again escaped through the window." -" Let's say, but this does not negate the fact that I'm not going to go to any party." Rachel said dryly, in a tone that absolutely brooked no objections. Amelia could go on as long as she wanted, but Roth's conviction that this was a terrible idea had a great cost. "Michael will be there," Amy said uncertainly, hiding her eyes on the floor. Rachel grumbled again, pacing the room. â" Is he that important to you?" - "Yes! I've been pining for him since high school, and yesterday I was finally convinced that he broke up with a girl and this is my chance! " Raven looked at Rogers incredulously. She was sure that Amy was not exaggerating her feelings for the boy. Amelia always made Rachel sit next to his desk, she was there when he needed answers to tests and Roth once again pulled Amy out of thoughts about their wedding and hamsters. This caused her inner resolve to falter. â "Well, yes, and seeing you among drunk and sweaty people, he will immediately explode with love...have you tried just talking to him at school?" "No one does that, my friend..." Rachel cast a frown at Amelia. -" well, except for you, but people like Michael need to be impressed, and not hang around with empty conversations. That's why I have to be there." -" Call someone else. I'm the last person who should ask to go to the party." Raven saw Amelia hesitate, seeming ashamed of something. - "But? â "I have no one but you". Raven felt Amy's voice tremble and moaned in frustration, now she just hated herself for never being able to stand on her own for a long time and allowed herself to be made into a living doll, but no matter how uncomfortable Rachel felt in a large crowd of people, she just couldn't turn her tongue to say "no". â" I'm going to your damn party."

Alive and Well Part 2- Jasper Badun x OC
Jasper Badun x Angela Young
Description: Cruella enlists Artie and Angelaâs help to put the Baroness away from good, but once itâs all over, Angela and Jasper are left with only their feelings for each other and no way of knowing how to go about it.
Word Count: 2.8k
Work had been almost nonstop since the plan was set in motion, but Angela didnât mind. She loved the adrenaline that ran through Johnâs house at all times. Everyone was excited to be on board and they wanted to make it perfect just as much as Cruella did. Thatâs why Angela was confused when Jasper came into her room while everyone was on a lunch break.Â
âHey Jas, whatâre you doing here? I thought youâd be eating with Horace and Artie,â she greeted the man, trying not to show her confusion. He shot her an almost cutely awkward smile and took a seat beside her.Â
âWell, I wanted to keep you company, and check on your dress for tonight,â he responded before looking it over. âIt looks amazing.â Angela blushed.Â
âThanks, I canât wait for you to see the finished product.âÂ
âIâm sure youâll look beautiful in it,â he said softly, staring at her with a look she couldnât quite explain. Her blush deepened, but she couldnât find words to respond with the way he was looking at her. She noticed his eyes flicker down for a moment before looking into her eyes.Â
âAngela, I-â he never got to finish his thought before he was interrupted.Â
âHey guys, Cruella says itâs time to get back to- oh,â Artie stopped mid sentence when he stepped in the doorway. âUh, sorry to interrupt. Iâll just uh⌠be out here when youâre done.âÂ
âUh no, itâs okay,â Jasper said quickly, standing and dusting himself off. âI should probably go help Horace fix up that car.â With that, he left without looking at the girl. Angela only watched helplessly, dying to know what he was going to say. Unfortunately, she didnât get the chance as she had to help a few others with last minute details then had to get ready herself.Â
She didnât even see him again until they arrived at Hellman Hall for the charity event. She arrived with Artie, showing their âinvitationâ to John, who let them in with a knowing smile. They gave him their coats then headed to the ballroom filled with black and white wigs in memory of Cruella. The duo split up to make sure that everything went according to plan, then John instructed her to get an earpiece from Jasper. It didnât take her long to find him.Â
âExcuse me sir, could you direct me to the champagne?â She questioned innocently upon reaching him. His back had been turned when she walked up, but he turned after hearing her voice with a bright smile.Â
âYes maâam I-â he paused when he noticed her outfit. She looked, in the simplest terms possible, absolutely stunning. Her dress made her look like a literal goddess and her hair all done up framing her face added to the look.Â
âYes maâam, I?â She prompted him with a teasing smile. He seemed to come back to his senses, only for his eyes to widen.Â
âOh no miss, youâve dropped your earring,â he informed her urgently. That made her look around and crouch down. He followed suit and pretended to look down, only to hold something out for her a second later. Upon looking at it, she realized that he was holding an earpiece.Â
âOh, you sly dog,â Angela whispered with a giggle, which made him chuckle. As they stood, she placed the device in her ear then covered her hair.Â
âThank you sir,â she spoke openly now.Â
âOf course,â he nodded and held out a champagne flute for her. âEnjoy the party, miss.â With one last nod to each other, Angela sent him a wink and continued to walk around. Once it was time to get everyone outside to the cliff, Angela went arm in arm with Artie to see why was happening. The Baroness was talking to Estella right beside the railing between the property and the cliff. Her eyebrows furrowed as she watched the Baroness hug the girl, then gasped in horror after the woman promptly pushed her over the railing. Angelaâs knees buckled under her, but Artie was quick to catch her.Â
âCome on, we have to go,â he muttered in her ear, leading her off as the Baroness continued to claim that Estella had jumped. John, Horace and Jasper were waiting outside the entrance of the building, looking unphased. Upon noticing Angelaâs distressed state, Jasper walked over to the duo and hugged her.Â
âItâs okay Angie. Just trust us,â he whispered. That confused the girl, and she looked up at the man. He didnât acknowledge the look as he led her to the circle of gravel as a car sped towards them. Angela gasped and she plus the men with her stepped back once the car skidded to a stop just a few feet away from them. The girlâs mouth dropped open as Cruella de Vil stepped out of her car.Â
âNo way,â she breathed out with a small laugh. Jasperâs hand went around her shoulder and gave it a small squeeze.Â
âDidnât I tell you to trust us?â He muttered as everyone surrounded the car. She couldnât help but laugh and she pulled him into a tight hug that he didnât hesitate to return as the police led the Baroness to their car.Â
âCanât you idiots see!â The woman shouted. âThat Estella person, thatâs a trick! Sheâs really Cruella!âÂ
âCruella de Vil,â Cruella announced with a triumphant smirk.Â
Just a few days later, âEstellaâ was laid to rest, finally with her mother once more. Cruella, Jasper and Horace moved into the newly named Hell Hall, but Jasper was quick to notice that there was one person missing.Â
âHey, Artie? Whereâs Angela?â He asked his flamboyant friend. The man shrugged absentmindedly as he stared at the ornately designed wall pieces.Â
âShe was outside by the cliff last I saw her,â he answered distractedly. Jasper thanked him then headed out where everyone had seen the Baroness murder Estella Miller just a few days ago. She was sitting on a bench not far from the cliff, just listening to the waves miles below by the looks of it.Â
âBeautiful view, huh?â He asked softly as to not disturb her. Her head turned just a bit to look at him and nod. A serene smile graced her face that made her look even more beautiful than the night of the gala in Jasperâs opinion. She patted the space beside her, to which he sat down. It was a rather peaceful silence, and it was the calmest both of them had been in a week. Cruella allowed the guys all a small break to get settled into the mansion and Artie and Angela were given a break from designing to relax.Â
âWhat were you going to say?â Angela interrupted the silence. Jasperâs eyebrows knit together and he looked at her.Â
âWhat?âÂ
âWhat were you going to tell me the day of the charity gala?â She elaborated. âWhen everyone was at lunch.â Jasper now blushed and looked down shyly.Â
âAh, that,â he started, his tone matching his mood.Â
âOh please, no need to act bashful now,â Angela teased, resting her head on his shoulder affectionately. Jasper didnât laugh like she expected him to, which worried her.Â
âHey,â she nudged him gently. âWhatâs wrong?â The man stayed silent for a minute, but was yet again interrupted for the third time in the past three days. Horace walked out with Winky by his feet.Â
âOi Jasper!â He called despite being only a few feet away from the duo. âCruella wants you back inside to help her with a few,â he paused and glanced at the palm of his hand. âExecutive decisions to maximize the space of the house,â he finished slowly, obviously reading off his hand. Angela couldnât help but laugh and shake her head at the innocence in his tone. Jasper smiled a little then looked at her.Â
âDuty calls, I guess,â he muttered apologetically. Angela brushed him off.Â
âGo ahead. Iâll see you later.â The man nodded and bid her a quick goodbye and followed his friend back inside, leaving Angela to sigh and continue to look out over the cliff.Â
A few days later. Cruella decided to have a party to introduce herself and all of her workers to the world, not wanting to not give everyone their due credit. Everyone who was anyone was going to be there, so everyone had to make a good impression.Â
Angela dressed in a form fitting burgundy gown with off the shoulder short sleeves and pulled her hair up into a bun. Once she was happy with her look, she decided to go around and help anyone who needed help getting ready. The first door she happened upon was Jasperâs, who had opened it a crack. She knocked twice on the door, waiting for him to call her in before entering.Â
The man in question was standing at a full length mirror fully dressed, aside from his tie. He looked wonderful, Angela thought. The suit really did him justice because it was like him: simple. Jasper never cared for extravagant outfits, and that opinion has stayed with him to this day. He was just wearing a simple tux, nothing added, just the suit. He seemed to be focused on his appearance though, as he hadnât greeted her, or noticed her at all. Upon closer inspection, Angela realized he was having trouble with his bowtie.Â
âTurn around Jas,â she instructed gently. The man sighed, but turned around upon realizing that it was Angelaâs voice. He paused, staring her up and down in shock, which made Angela smile as she recalled the night of the charity gala.Â
âWow, uh, you look incredible,â he complimented, still looking blown away. She blushed in response and absentmindedly smoothed her dress down.Â
âThank you, but thatâs not why Iâm here. Bowtie, please,â she instructed, holding her hand out for the piece of fabric. Jasper looked like he wanted to protest, but gave in without a word. Angela thanked him and stepped closer, wrapping the tie around the back of his neck. Her eyes stayed on his neck as she tied it, too shy to look into his eyes with how close they were. Meanwhile, he couldnât find it in himself to look away from her. She looked so cute when she concentrated, usually she hit her lip but not tonight unless she wanted to risk ruining her lipstick.Â
Once she was done, she straightened out his tie then slid her hand to the collar of his nice shirt and folded it down. Only then did she finally look at him. Â
âAll done-â she broke off, noticing the look he was giving her. What was that in his eyes? Longing? Affection? Love?Â
âI- uh,â she started, but she had no words to finish her thought. Not like she had the chance anyway.Â
âGuests are arriving!â Artie called down the hall. Both their heads snapped to the doorway, then to each other.Â
âRight uh, I should be going,â Angela muttered quickly, stepping away from him and ignoring the loss she felt from not being so close to him anymore. âCruella requested that Artie and I go down together,â she explained, as if he didnât already know.Â
âRight,â he repeated with an awkward smile. âUh, good luck.â His hands went into his pockets as she shot him a dazzling smile.Â
âYou as well. See you out there,â she responded before walking out of his room, closing the door behind her. Jasper was really starting to get annoyed with all the interruptions.Â
The party was almost in full swing when Cruella announced that it was time to make their entrance. She had everyone separated into groups by their importance to her: all of Artie and Angelaâs tailors would go down first separated by their part in the dressmaking process, then once they were at the bottom of the stairs Artie and Angela would walk down, they were the ones who got all the fabric and such after all. Then Horace and Jasper walked down side by side, no reason to explain the obvious reason. Then finally, the queen herself at the top of the stairs, completing the pyramid. The applause was almost deafening, and Jasper noticed Angela squeeze Artieâs arm. She had done that before the flash mob at the park, so it didnât take long for Jasper to realize it was a stress reliever, a way to sort of ground herself around so many people.Â
Cruella gave a short speech welcoming everyone then saying what would go on tonight: there would be a sort of q&a for anyone who had questions about them as well as showcasing all their previous designs on mannequins that lined the side walls. But first, there were introductions that needed to happen. Cruella went through all the dressmakers by name and what their specialty was, and as she said their names they walked down the steps as rehearsed. It went by rather quickly and soon everyone was encouraged to mingle until the q&a started.Â
Jasper looked about the room, searching for someone in particular, and he found her just moments later. Angela was in a small group that surrounded Cruellaâs rubbish dress discussing how long it took to make and such. He had a plan, and no one was going to stop him this time. He made his way over to the group, coming up behind the girl as she listened to Artie talk. She nearly gasped when an arm went around her waist and someoneâs lips practically touched the shell of her ear.Â
âMeet me outside when youâre done here. By the cliff,â Jasper whispered, which made her relax now that she knew it was only him. She turned just a bit to nod, a sign that she understood. With one more nod, Jasperâs hands went into his pockets as he headed outside to their agreed meeting spot. Just a few minutes later he heard the clacking of heels walking towards him and he turned around. Angela smiled at him upon reaching him.Â
âYou wanted to talk?â She inquired, just loud enough to be heard over the water below. Jasper nodded nervously.Â
âI want to tell you what Iâve been dying to tell you since before the whole fire incident,â he explained, which made her perk up. Finally.Â
âGo on, then,â she responded, leaning against the railing beside him. He stayed silent yet again for a few minutes.Â
âJasper,â she called, making him look at her. âI know youâre probably thinking of the right way to put things, but you might want to hurry because we donât know the next time weâll-âÂ
âJasper! Angie!â Artie called, stepping outside. âCruella wants us inside for the q&a!â Jasper watched as Angelaâs shoulders slumped in defeat, attempting not to show her disappointment.Â
âNevermind then,â she muttered softly, straightening out her dress as she stood straight once more. Jasper shook his head quickly. No. Not this time. His hand shot out to grab her own as she began heading inside. Angela barely had time to turn and question him before he pulled her close to him. His hand left hers and instead moved to cup her face with both hands and bring his lips to hers. Immediately her hands reached up to cover his and her eyes closed, her lashes looking like a Morning Glory at dusk. This wasnât just a kiss, it was something that they could get addicted to if they werenât careful, but neither of them cared about that. All they focused on was each other until Angela was forced to pull away for air.Â
âI love you,â Jasper whispered, not wasting a second before pressing another kiss to her lips, this time much more delicate and much less urgent. âThatâs what Iâve been wanting to say.â Another kiss. âAnd bloody hell has it been hard to get a moment alone to tell you that.â Angela couldnât help but giggle as their lips met yet again.Â
âIâm afraid with our line of work we donât have a lot of time to wait,â she responded simply, her hands now resting on his shoulders. âBut for you, I would make time.âÂ
âThereâs no need now that itâs done,â he spoke with a wide smile that she just couldnât help but copy. âJust stay with me, forever.âÂ
âI would like nothing more,â Angela answered, wrapping her arms around him in a hug that he returned.Â
âWow,â they heard another voice from behind them, which made them turn around. Cruella stood there with a knowing smirk.Â
âThat was touching,â she continued. âBut now that youâve professed your undying love for each other, we have a q&a to do so letâs go. Please?â She added after Angela raised her eyebrows at her. Jasper chuckled at the interaction then held his arm out for Angela.Â
âShall we?â The woman grinned at him then linked their arms together.Â
âWe shall.â With that, they followed Cruella inside to the rest of their lives.Â

I binge-watched the spn anime because of the brain rot
Itâs bad except for the parts that are good, and itâs pretty to look at. Hereâs a comprehensive list of pros and cons. Spoilers ahead!
Pros:
- more psychic kid backstories: Max (Nightmare), Lily (Darkness Calling), Jake (Loser)
- more psychic Sam
- more Azazel
- basically if you want more about the psychic/demon kids, watch the anime
- more young Winchesters
- the monsters, the superhuman abilities, the fight scenes, it all looks really cool animated. (But PSA itâs violent. It doesnât shy away from blood and gore.)
- Sam and Jessica backstory
- more of the brothers being cute and funny together
- Missouri isnât forgotten
- includes some Japanese legends/mythology
- the impala looks great in every scene. They did Baby good
- the âSupernaturalâ intro title
- the outro sketches of the boys hanging out with Baby
- Episodes adapted from the original show are different, but I like some of the changes? Itâd be boring if it was an exact retelling and the visual medium wasnât utilized. (I know I said spoilers before, but this is when they get detailed. If you wanna skip over, Iâll tell you where they STOP.)
Nightmare goes more into the abuse Max has suffered. Instead of locking Sam in a closet, Max sends Sam through the floor and covers the hole by breaking his bed in half, and itâs extremely sexy how Sam shoves the 2 halves apart with his mind. Later on Dean puts bandaids on Sam and they talk about demons loudly in front of a fast food intercom.
In My Time of Dying highlights the guilt Sam feels over Dean. In both the og and the anime John verbally blames Sam for not shooting Azazel, but where in the og Sam goes right on arguing, in the anime he reels back for a moment like he was slapped. Deanâs spirit touches Samâs shoulder, and Sam knows immediately that itâs Dean. He doesnât even question it. Instead of âAre you here?â itâs âI know youâre with me. I can feel it.â And I love that. Dean figures out right away heâs dealing with a reaper, and the reaper takes on the appearance of Mary to convince Dean to move on to the afterlife. Instead of a Ouija board, Sam uses a laptop to talk to Dean, and the first word Dean types is âSammy!â Dean is so fond of his little brother and Sam is so baby.
Rising Son is an anime only episode, but it draws inspiration from Johnâs journal. Dean has a proper breakdown over his dadâs death and the possibility of having to kill Sam. Ms. Lyle, Samâs favorite teacher who turns out to be possessed, is explored. John takes Dean hunting, and in the journal Dean hesitates to shoot a buck, and little Sam shoots it thinking it was endangering Dean. In the anime, Deanâs cornered by a moose and Sam makes it explode with his mind and itâs so !!! How little Samâs first words are, âIâm glad youâre okay. It didnât hurt you?â The boys are covered in blood and guts and Deanâs like đđđ âWhy are you here? Did you do this?â And then Sam starts freaking out a little, the shock sets in. âI donât know. I donât know, honest.â And heâs staring at his hands, and I am a big fan of Sam showing superhuman signs as a kid. Like in the journal, Ms. Lyle tries to take Sam. She gives Sam the illusion of a choice to come with her or stay with Dean, and Sam chooses Dean. This ep is pretty much when John figures out Sam has demon blood. He kills another hunter that wants to kill Sam.
Crossroad is based on Crossroad Blues, and I love how the crossroads demon shows up. Itâs hard to describe, but itâs so neat, like sheâs walking underneath Dean in this mirror world, and then the mirror world takes over the regular world, so you really get this sense of otherworldly seclusion, existing outside of time.
What Is and Should Never Be shows Dean is a firefighter in his âMary never diedâ world, and Sam got to play soccer growing up like he wanted. The brothers hold each other after Dean is saved from the Djinn.
AHBL part 1. When Azazel shows Sam that he fed Sam his blood, Sam gags and slaps a hand over his mouth, and I like that reaction more than the live action. The psychic kids get to go more anime with their powers, and thatâs a lot of fun. They donât need weapons. Ava slams Sam into the brick side of a building and cuts him without touching him. Jake snaps Avaâs neck with one hand and then catches Sam in his arms. When Jake attacks Sam, thereâs no gun or knife. Heâs relying on his super strength, his fists. Sam throws his arms up to protect himself, and (accidentally?) pushes Jake back with his mind, and the collision creates a crater in the ground. Jake puts his fist through Samâs chest to kill him. Itâs brutal and itâs rad as fuck. These kids are terrifyingly powerful.
The Sam and Dean reunion before Sam is killed is not as emotional as the live action imo, but what the anime does intrigues me. Hurts in a different way. Because Sam is stunned after he uses telekinesis again, on Jake, and when he hears Dean behind him Sam freezes. He doesnât look relieved to see Dean, but wary and weary. Itâs Dean taking steps towards him, not the other way around, and it has to be because Sam doesnât know if Dean saw him push Jake back. Sam doesnât know how Deanâs going to respond to all this, to him, having powers that come from a demon, the demon, Azazel. Sam hasnât had a chance to process anything. Heâs scared. Heâs tired. And the way the anime focuses on Samâs eyes here. Gah. âDean. Dean, Iâm...â Iâm sorry. Iâm all right. Iâm glad youâre okay. Iâm a monster. Thereâs also this one shot between Sam and Azazel that sends me because of how anime it is.
AHBL part 2. I love how Sam brought back to life is animated, with all the color returning to his face and a light wind rustling his hair and his lips parting to indicate his soul returning to his body. Jake attacks Dean, and, a lot like how Sam activates telekinesis to save Dean from Max in Nightmare, Sam gets a burst of superhuman strength. He rips Jakeâs arm off and tackles him to the ground and beats him to death, punches holes into his body, and itâs so savage and bloody and scary, and I love it. The Devilâs Gate opening looks so cool animated. Same goes for Dean shooting Azazel with the Colt.
Not to turn this into a meta post, but I also noticed how the last couple times Sam uses his powers theyâre colored green-yellow, the same colors as Maryâs ghost when she reveals herself in the animeâs Home, and I donât know if thatâs intentional, but itâs neat how it draws a connection to Samâs biological family instead of Azazelâs blood.
The Spirit of Vegas is like Bad Day at Black Rock, but Dean has all the bad luck instead, and it shows off the silly cartoony physics that make animation fun. The boys sleep outside and split a chunk of bread for dinner. Also this lil bit of Deanâs hair tied in a bow.
- (STOP) the brothers are pretty. I am not immune to animated Sam and Dean Winchester.
Cons:
- Jensen doesnât voice Dean until the last 2 episodes
- The English dialogue is really bad sometimes. I wish I couldâve watched the sub, but I couldnât figure out how to change the language
- Some character designs are really different from the live action, and maybe thatâs petty, but if youâre gonna change the characters diversify them? Donât just make them unrecognizable white people
- Missouriâs design as a stereotypical witch doctor is racist
- Gordon is replaced by some British guy named Jason?? Why
- Thereâs an LGBT character who is not accepted by her family and, while that bigotry is always shown to be negative and she dies the hero of the episode, she still dies ://
- In the English dub Lilyâs gf is made into her roommate instead. Idk about the sub
- Bobbyâs pretty much a totally different character
- Sam and Dean are OOC sometimes
- Deanâs hair usually looks darker than Samâs and it drives me crazy
- The storytelling is, overall, not nearly as good as the live action
- The non-Japanese lore in some episodes makes no sense. Sometimes itâs just plain ridiculous?? Like thereâs a giant robot made of cars and scrap metal controlled by a demon? ? I wish I was making this up
- Megâs role is severely reduced
- No Harvelles or Roadhouse
- Shadows are overused, but maybe thatâs because the og show is so dark?
- I donât mind the art style. I like the aesthetic, but I wish it was a little more expressive. It doesnât do Samâs puppy eyes justice.
- AZAZELâS SHADOW?? PROPORTIONS?? PEA SIZED HEAD
- Idk why they mashed season 1 and 2 together? The story feels rushed
- thereâs not as much chemistry between Sam and Dean, but thatâs a given without J2 on screen
- Nobody tells you!! That thereâs scenes after the credits!! And some of them are important! Why are important scenes after the credits??
The anime would not be good on its own, without the heart and depth the live action brings, but it works as supplementary material you can cherry pick from. I would watch more if there were more episodes.
It hasnât turned me off from wanting an spn anime. Iâd like to see it continued or redone, with updated animation and better scripts. Thereâs a lot of potential in exploring more about the psychic kids and Samâs powers, storylines that were cut short in the og show. Animation is a great medium for showing off the supernatural, getting creative and creepier with the designs, dramatic with the fight scenes, without having to worry about bad CGI. I donât want a live action reboot, but I think a redone animated series could be a lot of fun! (As long as itâs not an excuse to make any romantic ships take over. SPN is a platonic love story, and I like it that way.)
If you made it to the end here and are interested in watching the spn anime, you can watch it for free on the CW Seed app! You can probably stream it elsewhere, but idk where!
#spn anime#supernatural#supernatural the anime#my detailed pros is pretty much me letting you know what episodes are worth watching#and why#its bad but I kind of like it#I like what they were going for. the potential it has#I like sam and there's lots of sam

im definitely not ripping off my friend by making a list of au ideas i have no siree //gonna slap this under a readmore cause i. well i say a lot. all of the time. i tried so hard to format this Good but tumblr fucked me up i am so sorry
so first-off i know i already have one WIP AU (Auckland) on ao3 so i wont talk about That one cause like. spoilers. i actualyl have it like 80% created so its likely gonna truly get finished for once and i dont wanna ruin shit
the other one ive posted about is something me and ben (catgirlrepublic) have worked on together its not at all close to done or anything but it's. a fun little crossover. Between jdate and my fuckinuhm. Original characters story âUntitled Villains Projectâ. the sketches of the comic version ive started is actually my pinned post đđ its like the first chunk of the story, i think half of part 1? yea.
Tldr john fucking Somehow is able t oget into contact with a certain curious scientist from another reality whoâd just love to study the Soy Sauce, most certainly not for her own nefarious purposes
John and Dave meet up with the scientist, her name is Boss, and her lab assistant, Toxic, and after a bit of a preliminary Vibe Check where john determines her trustworthy (which Dave doesnt agree with,) the two agree to be taken to the world UVP is set in. from there they stay in Bossâs lab (big old fucking abandoned military lab). John and Toxic are fast friends due to mutual love-of-chaos. John n Dave get to fuckin, camp out on an air mattress.
The day after they arrive, the two get split up, not exactly intentionally; big plot points of UVP are liek. Fueled by Boss sending Toxic to go fetch her âresearch materials,â which are usually important artifacts
Fuckin side note i guess i have to explain my dumb bullshit: Bossâs, uh, field of expertise so to speak is actually fckin, basically the scientific study of magic and superpowers n shit like that. This shitâs all real in that world. Toxicâs got fuckin superpowers, so do 4 other main characters, whatever. Itâs got a bit to do with spirituality, iss Bossâs hypothesis. So she has Toxic fetch important artifacts that might have âenergiesâ to them. The thing is actually way more fuckin complictated than that, this is just Bossâs initial hypothesis.
Motherfucking anyways. So Boss gives Toxic a job to do, and John get excited about how Cool that sounds, and ends up going with Toxic, leaving Boss and Dave alone. Neither is thrilled about this. But Dave and Boss get to have a bit of conversation (while Toxic and John are off bonding and having a good time) and come to a⌠mutual grudging understanding of some kind. They still dont like each other though lmao
Theres gonna be deeper shit going on but we havent sorted it out yet/tbh havent like Written For It in a while but i still like thinking about it a lot lol
Also pretty sure our endgame is john and dave steal toxic and bring them back with em lmao boss is kind of not nice and toxic would most certainly be better off in Undisclosed. Actually theyd fucking love it. Theyd become a local cryptid im sure. Undisclosedâs mothman is a teleporting spike baby.
I have. Another crossover AU that i might. Post something about for halloween? Maybe? If i have it finished?
Crosses over into, you guessed it, another one of my original-character projects. God, am i vain or something?
I promise this is just because i think blue and dave should get to team up to beat up some monsters
Quick briefing on my fuckinuh. Original character story, this one doesnt have a name (yet? Idk lol my work never actually goes anywhere sso who gives a shit). It centers around two grim reapers, Red (26, bi woman) and Blue (22, aroace agender asshole). In this reality or whatever, grim reapers function kind of like low-level office workers. They get told whoâs going to die + when by some middle-management types, and upper management only involve themselves when punishment needs to be doled out. These Higher-Ups can be seen as analogous to Korrok; theyâre decidedly not human, never were, and fucking terrifyingly powerful. Additionally, grim reapers are sort of .. designed to be âbackground noiseâ people. In reality theyre supernatural beings and, uh, look Real Fuckin Weird (the whole deal has a neon aesthetic im terrible at drawing uwu) but most humans just perceive them like extras in a movie. A bodyâs there but the cameraâs not focused on it.
To the narrative: the shit starts when Red n Blue get relocated to Undisclosed. Relocation is something that just happens every now and then to reapers; they usually work in teams, but they get split up into different cities to avoid any strong bonds forming (a counter-union strategy from the Higher-Ups).
Red, Blue, John and Dave end up running into each other for the first time in a McDonalds where John n Dave are getting some 4am âhey, we just survived another horrific monster fightâ celebration burgers. John and Dave are the only two people who can see how⌠strange Red and Blue are. Nobody else notices.
John unintentionally pisses Blue off, leading to Blue whacking him upside the head with a dildo bat. They all four get kicked out of McDonaldâs. Dave and Red both are less than thrilled
Blue and John end up resolving their differences, somehow. Red and Dave briefly bond over their dumbass best friends being, well, dumbasses. They all part ways amicably.
somehow-or-other (idk yet) they end up running into each other a few more times, and eventually john invites them over to his place, and the four (plus Amy now!) get to know each other a little better
while there, Blue gets a text about some guy who's gonna die and John offers to drive them to where that's gonna go down. they take him up on the offer and get to have a bit of one-on-one conversation
after that ordeal though Blue has had Enough of people and bails, leaving John to head home alone
theres a sort of mirror-development going on with the five of em. Red, John, and Amy would all like everyone to get along, though theyre a bit tentative about it (John moreso than the other two, actually, jsut cause. well Red n Blue could still be Sauce Monsters). Dave and Blue on the other hand do Not like people enough for this shit, and Dave's not unconvinced theyre Sauce Monsters. he will not trust them until proven he should
the story's kinda nebulous but i got an idea for some Shit going down that involves both Sauce Monsters and also the Higher-Ups to have some fuckin absolute chaos go down.
Oops! All Trans
Everybody is transgender. Everyone
Ive actually workshopped this one both with ben (catgirlrepublic) and ghost (ghost-wannabe) lmao its a fun lil concept ive had from the get-go cause i mean. Whatâs an internet tran gonna do other than hit all their favourite media with the Everyoneâs Trans beam
Dave transitioned post-high school and faked his death for it. People go missing in Undisclosed all the damned time, after all. He moved to the next city over, transitioned fully, then came back as a completely new man. Yes i know this doesnt exactly fit with the âeveryone knows David from high schoolâ thing alright, hush.
Anytime anyone brings up Johnâs old best friend (pre-transition Dave) John throws an entire fit like an overdramatic grieving widow. Full-on sobbing âwhy would you bring her up?! I miss her so muchââ to the point that people just stop bringing up because Jesus Christ That Sure Is Uncomfortable KJHGFDS.
This is a scheme he and Dave came up with prior to Dave leaving, though Dave hadnt exactly anticipated John putting on this much of a performance about itâ but itâs stopped Dave from ever having tto hear his deadname again, so hey.
Amy transitioned sometime in middle school/early high school. Her family was super supportive and loved her a ton and most people just know her as Amy. she was super shy her whole life really so. Yeah. people just dont think to bring it up lmao also i Feel Like big jim would absolutely wallop anyone who gave her trouble of any kind
Johnâs nonbinary (genderfluid specifically) and not exactly Interested in transitioning ? like hes fine with how he is. mostly.
he came out to Dave in high school but hes not out to anyone else exactly. Maybe his bandmates. Probably any other trans person in Undisclosed knows, too, cause theyre safe to tell lmao. Johns mostly a âhe/him out of convenienceâ kinda nb whoâs cool with any pronouns but does prefer they/them most. Dave and Amy use they/them when the trio are alone
Also this is a totally self-indulgent caveat that i think would be great, Daveâs actually agender but because he's transmasc and transitioned when he thought there were really only two options, and being Boy at least felt less weird than being Girl, he just kind of assumed he was a dude. Itâs only through a lot of (like fucking years and years hes probably in his 30s/40s when he puts 2 and 2 together on this one) talks about gender with John that he realizes he actually feels like No Gender. Masc aesthetic with none gender.
I Just Think Itâd Be Neat Is All Okay
Also Amy came out to Dave about being trans early on in them seeing each other and his response was to get very nervous before blurting out âme tooâ and then just being too embarrassed to talk about it for the rest of the day. Hes got a lot of hangups on talking about it actually it takes years for him to get comfortable in that
by contrast when Amy comes out to John about it his response is to yell âEYYY ME TOOâ and give her a big ol hug lmao
I think itd be neatt if Amy ran a like. Transfem help/advice blog on tumblr. Kind of helped-with by John who can give her transfem nb insight for certain asks. I also just think that would be neat.
Cowboy AU - i put this one last cause its got drawings to it actually. Theyll be at the bottom
Basically just. Hey you ever watched a western. I think they look neat
This is another one me n ben have come up with lol
The soy sauce and all that shit still exist, im not sure where korrok fits in yet but ill figure it out
Theres no real like solid narrative yet ? but heres the barebones of everybodyâs arcs.
John
Johns an absolute troublemaker, Of Course. Hes wanted in several towns for absolutely stupid shit. Hes a loner who shows up, causes chaos, gets drunk, does some drugs, runs away if people get too mad at him
He definitely had the same kind of deal with the soy sauce as in canonâ he was at some kind of party, somebody offered it, he took it cause why the fuck wouldnt he, now he can see monsters and shit
Hes kind of a mooch also. Like. dont let him stay in your barn man heâll never fucking leave and drink all your booze.
He runs into Dave when they happen to just, cross paths in the same town. the bullshit John stirs up ends up involving Dave in a way that makes it seem like it's his fault too, and they both get run out of town
after that he just tags along after Dave. hes decided this guy's Cool he wants to stick around. Dave is pissed at first, but not enough to shoot him or anything, and eventually, John grows on him
Dave
Dave also is a loner but unlike John hes simply so fucking awkward and bad with people. He doesnt feel like he belongs anywhere so he just travels
Heâs the stereotypical Lone Ranger tbh. He wanders from town to town, solving their problems, though hed deny its out of any moral obligation (it kinda is, a little bit, tbh. He does like feeling useful). He shows up, fixes things, leaves. He's kind of a legend but most people think he's hiding something dark. other people jsut know him as that guy who farted real loud in the middle of the saloon and promptly skipped town out of sheer embarrassment. you know how it goes with Dave
He ends up involved with the Soy Sauce when a snake (not Actually a snake,) bites him. The snakeâs more like the wig-monsters, really. Anyway, it injects him with the soy sauce, he fucking trips balls in the middle of the desert, he can see monsters now
He runs into John and shit goes tits-up, as said, but they become traveling buddies after that. he'd never say so, but he's glad for the company, actually. it's nice. hes not used to companionship but he feels a strange kind of easiness hanging out with John....
not sure how the Monster Dave concept will like fit in to this reality but like. trust me i want it in here. I'll Figure It Out.
Amy
Amyâs been living in a town John and Dave end up passing through and she is very curious about these two new Handsome Strangers who claim to fight monsters and just kinda. Persistently tags along til they let her join for real
Her familyâs all dead, unfortunately, just like in canon, and sheâs been living alone for a few years before meeting John n Dave. she had nothing left in that town to stay for, she'd been fantasizing about escaping on wild adventures for a long time and this felt a little like a dream come true. (Dave still gives her a spiel about how Difficult it is, but really, her fantasies were pretty grounded-in-reality already. i jsut think thats how she is, yknow?)
Shes the first person to react to the whole âwe see monstersâ shit with a kind of âoh, okay. neatâ kind of response lmao
John and Dave fix whatever the fuck is up with her town (maybe thatâs where the Korrok shit can fit, who knows) and Amy ends up being integral to that. After, she insists they take her with them because âthey need her nowâ and Dave just cant really say no. John too is very much "the more the merrier!" and hes actually glad to have another person along he loves people lmao
At the start she has long hair but after she joins them she chops it short with a knife for convenience
also she still is an amputee. justt. idk. it was a wagon/stagecoach accident rather than a car accident lmao. just to clarify since i hadnt mentioned it, i wouldnt rob her of her ghost hand or yknow. all of the significance to her character that Missing A Hand has. although also now im going to have to research what was used as painkillers way-back-when, but im betting shes still got, like, her pain pills, they probably had those, maybe i wouldnt have to try too hard there. old timey medicine could be WACK though,
Shitload
Yeah hes in tthis shit mostly cause i liked designing his cowboy self lmao
Hes a kid (like 16, 17, technically i think in those days that was more Young Man than Kid but whatever. Hes Young i mean.) who got possessed by the Worms out in the desert and, by his familyâs perception, just went missing!
Hes also a wanderer, but he ended up at the same town john and dave met in, at that same time, and starts following them after, already aware of who/what they are.
He keeps his face covered 24/7. actually he covers a Majority of his self for reasons. kinda want him to be a slightly more horrifying Worm Entity rather than human idk,
I kinda dont have much for this boy yet sorry Shitload
images !
with some editing notes for me cause im doing a very specific aesthetic with this lmao. i might change some lil details/colours though ...... idk
im also kinda đ¤ about shitload's colour palette. i want things assoicated w the sauce to be black'n'red predominantly but i think his palette might mirror dave's too closely. also im working on a korrok design i jsut am too busy to draw it now
#jdate#john dies at the end#aus#erh. tthe hell do i tag this as#rambles.txt#long post#well let me know if youd wanna hear more or. or something#send an ask. or whatever#yaknow#:jazz hands:

Chapter 26
Schedule another appointment... (I guess)
The road so far
Previous Chapter : Off the Grid

What's Behind Door Number Two
Francine "France" Winters
MacTavish Residence, Glasgow, Scotland
Francine never knew this about John MacTavish. He was sure full of surprises behind that arrogant smirk of his. No wonder he oozes confidence. He was a man raised to be proud of himself.
While Gary was all talking about which rooms were occupied, Francine diverted her focus elsewhere. He didn't understand any word he said, instead she looked intently at all the pictures on the wall, the furniture on each hallway and the design of the house. This was the house that raised one John MacTavish. It was beautiful, each photo on the wall described how happy his family was. Each of his achievements were plastered on a grand hall along with trophies, certificates and plaques of his parents. Francine's curiosity toward the man that he wanted to learn more about, was all answered in this house. How much more intel would she get if she gets a glance of his room?
She shook off the ideas scrambling on her mind once she imagined what's inside John's room and how she could get access to it. It was far too early for those thoughts.
"See something ya like?" A mental image of John sprawled across the bed wearing just his boxers assaulted her mind. She felt her cheeks fluster as the mental image continued to play inside her mind.
Maxine nudged her and she completely shook off the memory and immediately nodded, not knowing what she agreed to do. Then it dawned on her. They'll be sharing the same room.
Gary exchanged a few words with Samantha where it involved a little sophisticated exchange. Maxine laughed at it while she proceeded to their room. France whispered that she'll be using the bathroom and quietly excused herself.
Price and Jack, together with Nikolai were gathered around the huge tv in the living room. They were intently watching news clips regarding the culmination of Nero's New York Assault.
"Excuse me, Captain? Where's the bathroom?" She asked, Price didn't turn but pointed toward a hallway. She immediately said her thanks and proceeded to the direction of Price's finger.
There were a lot of doors and France opened them one by one. One consisted of the study, an equally spacious place filled with books. Another one led to a downstairs gym. She was getting tired of opening the wrong doors and she decided to climb up the stairs and check on another door.
She hesitated opening it as it looked far too fancy to just be a bathroom door, but judging from the overall appeal of the house, anything was possible.
She turned the knob and pushed the door wide open revealing a huge navy blue walled room. Posters, flags and paraphernalia of football clubs were hung around the walls along with some notable paintings of scenic landscapes, all coloured and appealing to the eyes.
Her eyes slowly trailed down and turned to the door as it swung open, a very naked John MacTavish emerged from the bathroom door. It was all too late, he didn't even notice it but as soon as she squealed in surprise, John automatically turned and ran to the bed, quickly wrapping himself with his black bathrobe.
"What are you doing here?!" Was all he could ask. France could see him from the hole she made in between her fingers while her hand covered her face.
"I'm sorry, John. I was uh⌠looking for the bathroom..." she muttered, slowly closing the door, leaving her head peeking.
"The room to the far end of the left hallway." he muttered. He didn't sound mad, but she could sense shock in his voice. Who wouldn't be?
"I'm sorry." She slowly closed the door and paced to the bathroom, trying to forget anything that happened after opening that door.
With Ghost around, Francine sat beside Maxine, who now knows about the situation. She told Roach that she needed to bond with her sister and the considerate guy agreed to temporarily switch places.
Dinner was very awkward for Francine. After that event earlier, she couldn't look at John in the eye and if by chance she accidentally did, the mental image which was now no longer a figment of her imagination, kept reappearing. She couldn't help it, she was already admiring the man.
"I'd like to propose a toast." Price stood up and raised his glass of water. Everyone else seemed okay with the motion and followed.
"But before that I'd like to thank Soap for letting us stay in this wonderful home. Please extend our appreciation to your family."
France's eyes trailed carefully toward John as he nodded and replied, averting her gaze as soon as his eyes moved.
"Will do, Captain. And please, don't be shy and feel at home." he said, his voice mixed with the accent made France's heart skip a little as she loved that about him.
"Now for my toast⌠'To apprehending Shepherd and putting a stop to Nero!'" he roared.
Everyone cheered and raised their glasses, clinking it with the person beside them and drinking it afterward. France knew the procedure but as soon as her lips met the glass, her eyes accidentally met with John's, the blue piercing gaze behind the eye scar made her freeze, she immediately closed her eyes after downing her glass of water and breathed heavily.
He saw it. She knew he saw it. Why was she like this with him? Aside from the fact that she really likes him, why be awkward? She looked down and panted her lips still wet from the excess water she drank.
"You okay, France?" Maxine asked.
"Yeah. I just choked on my water. I'll just go to the bathroom." She said, excising herself and making her way to the bathroom. This time, she was sure it's the right door.
As soon as dinner was over, France distracted herself from thinking about John, so she decided to help out Roach and Maxine make their shopping list for tomorrow.
Roach yawned and stretched his arms, landing his other hand on Maxine's shoulder. France noticed this and immediately darted out an eye to Gary as he shyly withdrew his hand and instead tapped it on the wooden table.
"So what else should we get?" Maxine tapped her pen along with Gary's tune.
"Sugar." Gary said, watching Maxine write it down legibly.
"Hmmm." Francine hummed, she imagined herself inside a grocery store and put herself in the situation. What should she buy for ten people?
"You know that huge sausage thing from Germany? I wanted to know what they taste like." Gary asked, picturing the item with his hands. France's mind went somewhere else and she didn't want that to happen.
"You mean bratwurst?" Maxine answered, smiling as Gary looked very satisfied that he found the word he was looking for.
"Yeaaah! That one!" he cheered as Francine silently excused herself hiding the blush of embarrassment burning in her cheeks.
She paced to the hallway on her way to their bed, just as she thought she could finally relax, John was already on the other end of the hallway and was walking toward her direction.
She tried to avoid him but it was far too late, she had no choice but to face him seriously. He was wearing a red checkered sleepwear matching his pajamas and it looked like he outgrew his old clothes too, making the fabric cling desperately to his muscles.
"I've been meaning to talk to you since dinner." he exhaled, France looked elsewhere as to not recall anything.
"Are you okay? Did I do something wrong becauseâŚ" he trailed and she felt guilty. John didn't deserve any of this from her and she wanted to clear things with him anyway.
"No⌠it's okay. You didn't do anything wrong⌠I just felt awkward after what happened earlier."
"It was an accident, France. Shrug it off as a bad memory that your mind wouldn't want to recall. It's unfair for me, you know. The last time we got together I was happily hugging you while we slept and now you're doing everything you can to avoid me." he explained. He was true except she couldn't consider it as a bad memory.
"Besides, I couldn't think of any other reason you're avoiding me other than you can't stop thinking about it, eh?" he wiggled his eyebrows. There he was again with the ego. France blushed red and almost wanted to cry, until she felt John's warm embrace and it immediately cleared her mind.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say it that way. When I cracked the joke, you weren't the usual snob that I grew to like." he whispered and she then knew that he already knew her too well.
"It's okay." she croaked as she saw Ghost exit his room their eyes met and she could see the sadness in Simon's eyes. So much for giving him space, it looked like she already broke his heart. She needed to talk to him, to explain that she tried her best.
"You need to buy new sleepwear." Francine muttered and she felt John's body shake as he chuckled, not wanting to leave from the embrace.
"Yeah, will you be there to help me pick one?" he asked, rubbing his rough arms on her back. She closed her eyes wishing this moment would never end. Her hand shyly wrapped around his waist as she pulled him over, almost inviting him for a kiss.
There was still hesitation in her eyes as John looked down on her and their eyes met. His gaze set her mind at ease, and by ease she meant completely blank, her thoughts were hazy and all she could think about was to close her eyes and pucker her lips. And that was what she did.
This kiss was far too different from the one they shared back in the Gulag. Back there she felt relieved, happy and excited. In this one, she felt desire, longing and excitement. The initial impact was slow and intimate and she expected it to continue that way until they broke their kiss but as soon as she opened her mouth and let John's tongue in, the both of them tilted their heads as their hands roamed eagerly around each other, John wrapped his arms from below her waist up to her nape and pulled her close, never breaking the kiss while France also pulled him in as her hand slid from his back to his shoulders, gently trailing her soft touch through his biceps. They were so close to each other that they were swaying as their heads tilted attempting to try kissing on every angle possible. Maxine moaned in between the sounds of their lips clashing and she could already feel the excitement forming on John's body causing her to slowly end the kiss.
As soon as he felt that she was trying to break the kiss, John rested his forehead against hers as they stared longingly on each other, their hands slowly drifted apart as their bodies slowly stepped back from each other.
"Good Night, John." She said nervously, worried about what he might feel toward her actions.
"Good Night, Francine." He replied there was a question on the tone of his voice but France was glad that he was not pushy this time.
She stepped back, and turned to the direction of her room smiling awkwardly as his stare was locked on hers.
"I'll be patient for you⌠because I know you're worth the wait." he said, a blush forming on her cheek as soon as she realized he really did hear her whisper the last night they slept beside each other.
Without looking back, she walked faster than ever and closed the door, jumping to her pillow and fighting the extreme feeling of embarrassment.
France barely slept. It was like one Scottish man kept her up all night as he continued to stay on her thoughts. She was going crazy over him and she can only think of one way to cure her. Distraction.
She got up around five in the morning, her eyes were sore from the lack of sleep, but she washed it off with an early morning hot shower. If only she knew each room had bathrooms. If only she listened to Roach.
She distracted herself by going to the pantry and started sorting out things for their list, it was a lengthy one and they needed to clear out room for more. Her plan went well until thirty minutes later, a very sweaty John MacTavish, entered the kitchen door.
She immediately turned back to the pantry as soon as the view of him dripping in sweat, wearing a perfectly fit black tank top and sweatpants appeared from the corner of her eye. There he was again, innocently looking insanely attractive. And there she was again, falling for it.
"Looks like you're up too early." His voice was loud enough she couldn't ignore it. She took a deep breath and turned to him. It was the bluetooth earphones.
"Yeah. Figured an early head start would help." She replied. What kind of sentence was that? She didn't know, but she was grateful enough that he was only invested for small talk as he grinned and made his way to his room making France sigh in relief.
Later that morning while they were arranging the supplies, they stumbled upon Alex and Samantha, making out like teenagers by the gazebo. It was supposed to distract her from the Scotsman who was talking to someone over the phone but she couldn't help but remember the kiss they shared last night, making her secretly glance toward John, and then back to the two. Her heart raced as she felt nervous toward herself. She was supposed to be extra careful investing feelings towards someone else in the middle of the fight, but now that she knew John was willing to be patient for her, she was now the one eager for him.
In the afternoon, France wanted to talk to Ghost personally. She wanted to clear out things about what he saw and what occurred in Brazil. Back then, she was confused about what she felt, but now it was clear as day. Roach told her that he never left his room all day and it made her feel guilty. But then again, he never made a move toward her so, technically she didn't have to feel that way. But the idea of clearing things off with him as he began to fall for John was what's best.
She stood by the door, bracing herself before attempting to knock, but as soon as her knuckles were about to touch the wooden door, he heard John's loud announcement from the living room.
Ghost already left. It looked like he didn't need any more explanation from her.
I tried my bestest to describe that part but there's a video to slightly enlighten y'all with what's going on. It's way off than what I wanted it to be when I put it in writing.

Random Rudony vaguely historical-ish stuff and HCâs for @rudolph-sackville-bagg
Warning: Done for the cute, loose term of âhistorical accuracyâ applied as I am but a simple reader.Â
1) Flowers
Common but meaning varies depending on the time period. They were used to send messages because certain topics were considered taboo or impolite to talk about in public. Bouquets were put together to convey a meaning or answer questions, both positive and negative, and were often wrapped in things like lace, or satin ribbons. Many books on floriograpy; or the language of flowers, were written.Â
- for example a yellow carnation could be a symbol of rejection and disappointment, while a white carnation may mean pure love.Â
Other examples include:Â
red roses: love
forget-me-nots: true love
purple lilacs: âfirst emotions of loveâ Mimosaâs: âsecret loveâ
Phlox- Our souls are united
Yellow tulips- Thereâs sunshine in your smile. Â
- I personally like the thought of Tony waking up to flowers on his windowsill or by his bedside.Â
-Theyâre different flower combinations almost every time.Â
-Rudy is either giving him red roses, or very soft arrangements like lavender, lilacs and lilies. Again, no in-between.Â
-Tony gifts flowers too; often in bold colors such as petunias, red peonyâs, and hyacinths.Â
2) Letters
Because of the taboo nature of certain topics, and because cell phones didnât exist, Letters generally were considered very private. During timeâs apart, and even during war, it wasnât unusual for letter correspondence to last months or even years.Â
While most stationary was plain, more expensive paper was thicker, and had artful designs such as flower borders in bright or contrasting colors, gothic designs, or even patterns printed along the back page.Â
- This is all to say that I can totally see both of these dorks fretting over âmaking it look niceâ.
-Rudyâs paper has gothic designs on the back and he writes in old-school cursive, Tonyâs is from some random craft store and has polka-dots or something and his writing looks like chicken scratch donât @ me.Â
- They read each others letters and giggle like the dorks they are. Again donât @ me.Â
3) Dancing
Just, give me the cute waltzing under the moonlight. Please. Most of the other dances from this time period for the upper class were either super complicated, large group dances, or couples dancing like the waltz.
- Also give me Tony teaching Rudy how to dab. It will diminish Gregoryâs sanity, and poor Rudy will be so confused I need this please.Â
- Rudy would either thoroughly enjoy modern dances, or be horrified and become super shy. Like no inbetween.Â
- Oooh the Sackville-bagg clan, when they all get together, will sometimes do those big historical group dances and maybe Rudy ends up teaching him?? This will end in disaster I know it.Â
- But Rudy is a great ballroom dancer, on the ground or in the air. He likes dancing with Tony.Â
4) Music and Instruments
Being roughly 300 years old, and working form the assumption that the movie takes place in the modern day, that would put the Sackville-Bagg clan in between the Baroque and and Classical music periods.Â
Common instruments from this time include: Violin, cello, flute, harps, organ, oboe, and clarinets.Â
- I personally donât HC Rudy as like, a master player of instruments. But I can see his parents at least making him learn one. Especially because of the time period theyâre from.Â
- Rudy doesnât really enjoy it the way he enjoys dancing.Â
Which isnât to say he hates it, heâs just grumpy that his parents make him practice so much.Â
- Anna plays the harp. I think it fits her for some reason.Â
- Gregory can kiiiinndaaa play the cello but lowkey does it like those 2Cellos guys from youtube and it drives his dad up the wall. Probably the most interested in modern music not gonna lie.Â
- Think you know teenage rebellion? Think again.Â
Teenage rebellion has nothing on an annoyed perpetually young-adult vampire with no peers, an overbearing dad, and who just discovered rock music and eyeliner. Â
- I can see Rudy playing like, the violin maybe? Or Piano? He plays them for Tony when he wants to be Brazen(TM)Â
- Tony plays guitar, acoustic and electric. Itâs actually Tony who plays songs for Rudy more often than not. Stuff like âCanât help falling in loveâ âAlwaysâ by Bon jovi or âall of meâ by John legend.Â
5) Poetry/sStories (This is totally your fault and I hope you know that)Â
The 1700s were the romantic period of poetry, and call me cliche but I am here for it ok? List of headcanons in coming.Â
- Rudy lowkey is into it. His parents wanted him to be well read, and while Gregory hated it, and Anna used it to perfect her wit Rudy genuinely liked it.Â
- but he would rarely admit it. -
- Personal HC but, one of the few things his parents (read father) would allow Rudy to have from the mortal world as time flew by were things like books, ergo his love for Poetry.Â
- It was also one of the few gifts from Gregory after one of his âtripsâ that their father wouldnât put up too much of a fuss about. Their father had been horrendously grumpy the first time he saw Rudyâs new black spiky jacket, an effort to be like his âcool; brother. But the books were mostly safe.Â
- Rudyâs read the classics, the epics, anything and everything he can get his hands on.Â
-Shakespeareâsâs Sonnet 20, William Blakeâs âThe Garden of Love.â This boy is in love with love, and he is D R A M A T I C
- Seriously Rudy could have been a theatre kid in another life, ya feel me?Â
- When they have to separate cause sunlight, Rudy just starts reciting âTo Nightâ by Percy Shelley, or wring âBright Starâ by John Keats onto a letter and leaving it for tony.Â
-Given that education wouldnât have been as widespread when he was human, this definitely would have been seen as both a privilege, and very forward courting.Â
5) Other Random bits of Info
- Accepting gifts from a suitor of some sort usually signaled, to both the suitor and the general public, an acceptance of feelings and intentions.Â
-Returning a gift, even after some time, often meant rejection of some sort.Â
-There was a very fine line between gifts for courting, and gifts for the sake of gifting to a friend, depending on the time period. Platonic gifts to the recipient included simpler things like fruit, sweets, and candy, versus something else that was more carefully chosen.Â
- Depending on the time period gifts could include everything from flowers, jewelry, to carefully stitched high quality gloves to knives.Â
Not even gonna lie this has miscommunication and shenanigans written all over it.Â
-Tony not realizing what Rudyâs gifts mean, and either unknowingly accepting, or unknowingly rejecting them.Â
- Rudy just about dying if Tony gives him a gift cause his mortal?? Is just so sweet? Like, Tpny could give him a bracelet he won out of one of those (rigged!) claw machines and he would be happy.Â
-Â I mean, Tony would probably put more thought into it than that but yeah.
This started out as me attempting to explain stuff and just, devolved into my HC's I am so sorry everyone forgive me.

INTRODUCING: John Bernstein
âTo create is to live twice.â
THE BASICS
Full Name: Jonathan âJohnâ Bernstein Age: thirty-seven Birthday: August 9th, 1983 Zodiac: Leo Sun, Leo Moon, Virgo Rising Occupation: Gallery Manager and Curator at the Crescent Harbor Art Gallery Length of Time in Crescent Harbor: seven years Neighborhood: Goldfinch Valley [view his apartment] Hometown: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nationality: Canadian Sexuality: Pansexual Relationship Status: in a relationship with @quinn-hawthorneâ Qualities: creative, nurturing, open-minded, loyal, driven, kind Flaws: pretentious, impatient, compulsive, nervous, stubborn, proud MBTI: INFJ-TÂ âThe Turbulent Advocateâ Moral Alignment: Neutral Good Enneagram: Type 6 âThe Loyalistâ
THE FAMILY SITUATION
tw: foster care, adoption
John spent his childhood growing up in the foster care system, going from home to home until he was six years old. He doesnât know his biological parents but is very close to his adoptive parents, which is why he usually refers to the Mannings as his mother and father, despite not being related by blood. The family fostered other kids as well, so there was always someone around. They had two biological children as well, who John also considers his siblings. His youngest adoptive sibling, Rose Paisi (@rosalindpaisi), recently moved to Crescent Harbor which he is incredibly excited about as they are very close.
THE LOOKS
Faceclaim: Dan Levy Height: 5'11ââ Hair Color/Length: black and short, usually neatly coiffed, curly if without product (aka never, unless you live with him or catch him off-guard) Facial Hair: John usually doesnât go for a clean shave ever. Heâs always sporting some stubble. Eyes: brown Complexion: clear, warm undertones Body: Average/Athletic. John enjoys excerise a lot but also likes to indulge in foods that arenât considered good. Whether heâs keeping up with yoga, running or some light lifting, thereâs rarely a day where he doesnât add some kind of activity to his agenda, mostly to make sure heâs training his mobility. His frequent walks with his dog will also do the trick. Style: John is very interested in fashion and not at all scared to add some more unique styles to his wardrobe. More often than not, he sticks to a rather casual yet formal style, mostly due to his job but also because he likes to dress well and feel good about the way he looks. Heâs usually sticking to high quality, if not designer, sweaters or dress shirts with a nice pair of pants but will also wear a good pair of denim jeans and a t-shirt occasionally. He also loves a good print. The man always looks very put together. You can find some outfits here. Smells Like: Considering his habit of going for runs in the mornings, John usually never leaves the house for meetings or errands unless heâs freshly showered. He hates nothing more than being smelly or dirty even, so he tends to smell fresh with a hint of cologne.
THE STORY
tw: foster care, motorcycle accident, injuries
Jonathan âJohnâ Bernstein grew up in the foster care system and moved into a foster home in Toronto when he was already six years old but it was there where he finally got to experience what being a family was all about
He never met his biological parents and isnât sure whether or not heâd like to some day. Heâs in the process of trying to figure out how to go about looking for them, just to know but without success so far. He hasnât told anyone about thsi and thinks itâs better to keep it close to his chest for now.
John is a very kind and very passionate person. If heâs excited over something, youâll know! He doesnât only get excited about things directly tied to himself though but about other peopleâs interests and successes, too.
The people around him either love him or hate him for it because he will go on and on and never stop until you tell him to. He always likes to indulge in rather intense conversations as it is and will go out of his way to help anyone with patience and kindness if they have any problem at all.Â
His intensity paired with his overall level-headedness is very useful when it comes to his profession though because heâs a natural at being a salesman who is always eager to network which makes renting and buying art for the gallery to help it extend and thrive an easy task (if you ignore the amount of overtime he collected over the past few years).
So basically, heâs a big softy who loves art in all shapes and forms and will go on about it to anyone for hours if they let him or dare to step into the gallery.
He moved out to Vancouver right after high school to go to university. He majored in visual arts.
When he was 24, John was involved in a crash with his motorcycle that left him severely injured and in a coma.
He made it through but the accident threw him into a spin and basically had him starting at zero. The healing process took a whole year because of complicated fractures and nerve injuries that he needed a lot of physical therapy and rest for - which only made John realized that he is not as good at taking care of himself as he thought he was up until then.
Jonathan feels incredibly fortunate to have survived the crash, despite the fact that it left him with some issues to this day. On his worse days, heâll have a slight limp due to a hurt nerve in his leg and a pelvic fracture. He also suffered a minor motor nerve damage in his wrist which makes it hard for him to create art himself or do basic tasks, really. It keeps him from being able to lift heavy items or do other basic tasks due to the lack of strength and control. He learned to live with these remaining injuries and doesnât really let them stop him, unless he pushes himself too hard and has to give in. He was also left with quite a few scars scattered across his body but considers them a small price he had to pay if it meant he still got to come out of it alive.
He loves to travel and did quite a lot of it after his recovery and before settling in Crescent Harbor where heâs been living for the past seven years.Â
John traveled to and worked in Tokyo and London the most and got a lot of his experience when it comes to galleries from his time there.
These days heâs gotten too busy and caught up in his work to even think of taking a vacation which is bad but the workaholic in him would say otherwise. Maybe itâs that or his inability to give up control - the man just needs to relax!
Despite growing up and becoming a lot more confident as he got older, John is still very soft-spoken at times but always polite and definitely happy to talk to anyone. He doesnât like to be the center of attention and tries to stay in the background more, even though heâs not as shy as he used to be.Â
Overall, heâs a very friendly guy and tries to help anyone who might have a problem but donât make him mad - the switch flips slowly but surely.
When you are in his circle though, heâll do anything for you. He made quite a few friends in his years of living in Crescent Harbor due to that but his best friend and confidante is Diana Blackwood-Amari (@diana-amari).
Right now, heâs busy house hunting with his partner Quinn Hawthorne (@quinn-hawthorne), while also trying to navigate the ups and downs that come with being in a long-term relationship after having stuck to his own company for longer than heâd care to admit. Lets just say, communication is not their strong suit but theyâre learning.
To sum it up: heâs soft, warm and friendly, very interested in art in any shape or form and just wants to be your friend if you let him! Just donât disrespect him and youâre golden! Otherwise, you might get a pretty intimidating side-eye and a snarky comment or two.
Also, he would die for his dog, a Dachshund-Corgi mix named Merlot, and so would I tbh.
Find Johnâs wanted connections here, his full stats here, some musings here and his full bio here. đ

Perhaps - Keanu Reeves x Reader
Hi everyone! This fic is a bit different than what Iâve done in the past. Let me know if you like longer fics like this, or if you prefer the shorter and more fluffier ones. I love your feedback! I really hope you guys like this, it felt a bit out of my comfort zone.
Word count : 3884
Warnings : Smut? Kind of? a little? I didn't mean to write smut but I think I accidentally may have...
Requested : No
Summary : After becoming good friends on set, Keanu and Y/N end up in bed together, leaving Y/N scared for which way their relationship may turn when Keanu wakes.
Perhaps your ambitiousness was the quality that got the best of you. Being assertive and head strong were normally auctioned off as rather desirable qualities. Maybe things would be different if youâd slowed down, looked at things from a more sedate, deliberate standpoint. Perhaps, your mother was right on that overcast afternoon back home, the gray undertones of the silver kissed sky promised a good rain. She reluctantly handed you your last bag, the fine lines and wrinkles more prominent in recent times around her shuttered eyes. She had her doubts over your instantaneous move to LA, it killed her to even dream you may have your ambitions broken.
Perhaps, if you slowed down, thought things through, cautiously evaluated the consequences, you would have saved yourself the sorrow. Perhaps you wouldnât be sitting on the edge of the bed, your head in your hands, your chest and lower half covered with nothing but a faint white bed sheet, quietly weeping melancholy tears. The bitter, crisp air engulfing the room pricked at your nude shoulders. It felt almost glacial, or perhaps that was the feeling flooding your uncertain body. You glanced wearily over your shoulder, and saw Keanu still sleeping, his bare chest rising and falling in harmony with his breathing. His raven locks rest upon his face, a few strands cascading over his eyelids, slightly rising and falling each time he breathed out his nose. He looked at peace, for now at least. But perhaps, he would awake soon. And perhaps, peace would be replaced with hesitance. Perhaps. That darn perhaps. Anxiety inducing, dreadful, appalling perhaps.Â
Your move to LA had been tough at first and really pushed you to your limits, but you werenât complaining. Constant determination and effort had landed you a career opportunity of working on the set of John Wick Chapter 2. Yourself and a few other people around your age had earned jobs as assistant directors. It sounded like a big role, a job demanding leadership, however, you thought otherwise most of the time. It almost felt as an internship. The experience would open numerous doors for you however, and it was a hands on way of discovering movie making technique and process. The job consisted of arranging logistics, preparing daily call sheets, checking cast and crew, and maintaining order on the set. Your strong work ethic and natural niche for determination had lead many of the other ADâs to not be so fond of you. You didnât mind though, Hollywood was competitive and you were here to make a mark.
When you werenât working on set, youâd often be left alone. You were rather shy and hadnât made any friends on set yet. You enjoyed your own company, rather fond of indulging in your thoughts, taking a mental break from the demanding reality of the world. At lunch breaks, the cast and crew working on principal photography would gather in the designated rest area, where people would branch off into groups, socializing and enjoying their lunches together. You however, sat alone at whatever table wasnât occupied. Sometimes you would eat quietly all alone, or sometimes you would set your mind adrift in a book while eating. It all depended on the day and your mood.
Keanu had been noticing you since the first day. He would watch the way you poured your heart and soul into your work. He admired that, he didnât see it from any of the other ADs. He would see you sitting alone at lunch every day, often walking by you to sit with the people he knew and was familiar with. He would watch the way you would get so invested in your novel, the way you would tuck your long strands of hair that framed your face behind your ears, your brows furrowing. He was quite intrigued by you, almost fascinated. He was drawn to you in an unexplainable way, as if his soul had somehow read yours and wanted a taste of the serenity your aura gave off. After a week of production, he had finally mustered up the courage to brush past your table, finally approaching you one on one for the first time.
âRemembrance of Things Past, Iâm quite fond of that novel myself.â His voice caught you off guard. Youâd known exactly whoâs voice it was before even looking up, it just surprised you it was filling your ears so close, directed at no one but you.
You glanced up and saw him smiling down, his tray full of food in his large hands, still in his costume from filming. He had a few cuts and gashes on his forehead and cheek from makeup. Had this not been a movie set, it would have been quite concerning.
âYeah, itâs a good read. Iâm trying to get through them all actually, although its proving to be quite the task.â You chuckled, your soft voice had a very calming effect on him. It was almost as a sweet break from the chaotic environment surrounding.
âIt took me a while, but I got through them. Worth it, trust me.â He smiled back. âIs this seat taken?â he gestured with his free hand to the seat in front of you.
âNo no, itâs not!â you replied quickly, almost not believing the words he had just asked.
âMay I?â he asked politely. âOf course, my pleasure.â You said with just as much politeness, almost being formal. You werenât sure how to act, Keanu Reeves, the star of the movie had asked to join you for lunch.
âY/N, right? Iâm Keanu. Nice to meet you.â he held his hand out for you to shake. âI must say, I admire the work you do here on set, weâre really in good hands.â He spoke as you shook hands, smiling at each other, relaxing eventually in each others presence. You noticed the other ADâs and many other crew members turn their heads your way, just as surprised, almost jealous that Keanu had sat with you alone. You chatted and got to know each other a little better that day before returning to set. You were just as surprized when the next day, Keanu ended up asking to sit with you once again. Your company was so refreshing to him, like a breath of fresh air after being inside walls too long.
Keanu and yourself ended up becoming quite good friends from that day forward. You would sit together every single day at lunch breaks, and often chat or hang out on down time between takes. You managed to make each other laugh a whole awful lot. When the set was packed up for the day, Keanu would help you with your stuff, walking you back to your car to make sure you were safe. He would ask you if you needed a ride every time, even though he knew you had transportation home. It was a sweet gesture, it showed you his caring and compassionate side. He was very gentle with you, a complete contrast to the character he was playing on set. He would let you go with a quick hug, and a âget home safe, Y/N.â before waving goodbye and walking back to his car. You would be lying if you said you didnât feel a slight flutter in your chest every time he hugged you goodnight, sending you off. But it was best you keep those thoughts at bay, Keanu was just such a gentle, kind, loving personality. It was practically impossible to not feel warmth after just a glance his way.
On Keanuâs walks back to his motorcycle after dropping you off to your car, he would shove his hands in his pockets, reminiscing back on the dayâs work. He often found you at the center of his thoughts, the moments youâd share together being a prominent, radiating light out of the sea of everything else. He felt for the first time in a while that he had someone to confide in, someone to relieve the stress of life with. He felt something there. He felt something for sure.
On a Friday afternoon, you and Keanu sat at your regular table as always, chatting away, laughing over Keanuâs slip up during one of his action sequences earlier that day. Â The rest of the crew didnât find it so amusing, but you and Keanu were left gasping for air, giggling away tremendously thereafter. It was almost like you had a mental connection that just made you sync when you were together. To you, it was nice to have a friend. A real, true friend. Your first and only friend in LA actually. He had made the journey so much more bearable, and you couldnât be more thankful. You knew internally you were longing for something more with him, but you constantly pushed the thoughts away, knowing the bond was too special to you to have anything determine otherwise.
Keanu shoved his spoon into your cup of yogurt, taking a bite into his mouth. You two often shared food. It almost made you feelâŚcloser.
âKeanu you know thatâs my favourite! Leave me some.â You chuckled, playfully shoving his hand away. Keanu had suggested he take you on a bike ride after pack up that night, the lovely California weather, complied with the smell of fresh orange fields and the lavender sunsets were a magical sight he wanted you to experience. You had agreed, it was the weekend and a bike ride sounded like a good way to replenish.
That evening after pack up, Keanu held his arm out for you to take as usual, only this time, heâd be leading you to his bike, taking you with him. Heâd dreamt of the scenario often, wishing he could whirl you away to experience the pure bliss of the wind in your hair, and the unexplainable calmness, complete ecstasy a bike ride brought him. He knew how stressful working on set had been for you, and he wanted to help relieve you of some tension.
Sitting behind Keanu with your arms wrapped securely around his waist felt like true security. You eventually found yourself resting your head on his back, your cheek brushed up against his muscles, your eyes closed, just relishing in the moment. He was radiating warm heat, it felt nice to be so close to him, so in touch. It almost left you wanting more.
Keanu felt very protective of you in that moment, as if a fragile doll rest upon him that he had to defend at all costs. He hadnât felt that way in a long time. Eventually, he stopped the bike at his favourite spot, a cliff overlooking the beauteous California waters. He often came there to be alone, to take time to himself, to feel grounded. It was special to him to share it with someone else, almost as if he were taking a very vulnerable part of himself and handing it into your hands. He helped you off the bike, holding his hand out for you to take as he walked you to the edge where you could see the divine scenery.
âIsnât it breathtaking?â He smiled at you, before glancing down at your hand in his. It was a nice fit, he thought to himself.
âItâs gorgeous. Thank you for showing me, Keanu.â You replied as you looked off into the distance, smiling to yourself. The sunset had cast a vibrant, golden hue on your face that left it sparkling in all the right places. Keanu couldnât help but grin as he watched you. You both stood there for a few moments, sulking in a comfortable silence, just over looking the California horizon. A few moments later, you realized your hand was still tucked away tightly in Keanuâs grip. You looked down, and then up at his face. His eyes met yours, glowing. Keanu slightly inched you closer, and without thought, you moved into his touch, resting your head on his arm. You felt real at ease in that moment, a free wave of tranquility flowing through your veins engulfing your body in a tight embrace. Keanu moved his arm around you, pulling you closer, watching the distance. This is what it felt like to have certainty.
You glanced up at Keanu, so intoxicated by the view and his zen like presence. He looked down at you, and your eyes instantly locked. You both smiled, getting lost in each other. His eyes reminded you of two drops of coffee, with clouds of steamed milk surrounding. They gazed into yours, as if he was reading a map to a town he had already roamed in its entirety, as if in that moment, your collective energies gravitated together and ignited a whole universe, and you were the only ones in it. The only ones with a key. You both inched closer, and closer, his head moving down, your moving up to meet him hallway,
And then it happened. Your lips grazed against each otherâs, and locked. You shifted, and put a hand on his shoulder, your other hand on his bicep. He wrapped one of his arms around your waist, managing to pull you in even closer, while his other hand caressed the back of your head, getting lost in your locks.
The kiss was sweet, passionate, and eventually became demanding. You moved both your arms around his neck, lightly ruffling his hair while indulging in his candied lips. Keanu eventually broke the kiss, pulling back only to rest his forehead against yours, as he looked you in the eyes once again, except now they were filled with need, with lust, with desire.
âWould you wanna go back to my place? Maybe?â he breathed.
âYeah, I would like that.â You grinned, eyes glancing at his lips.
And with that, he took your hand and lead you back to his bike, helping you on, and zooming away, frantically racing home with your body close to his once again. He felt butterflies in his stomach anticipating what was to come next.
As you reached Keanuâs home, you held his arm as he lead you in. Instantly, as the door locked and he turned the lights on, your eyes met once again. You were stood about a foot apart, your arms at your sides. You both smiled, it felt almost as this was something you had both wanted for a while, something you never knew you were craving. After a moment or so, you inched forward, unable to resist any longer. He followed, attaching your bodies once again with a kiss. He bit at your bottom lip, asking for entrance, which you cheerfully allowed. And with that, he suddenly picked you up, carrying you up to his bedroom where you both would spend the night, showing your admiration for each other in the closest, most vulnerable, most intimate way you could.
Keanu laid you down on his bed lightly, making sure you were comfortable. The dimly lit room was illuminating your skin perfectly, he thought you looked like an angel sent down from the heavens. He climbed on top of you gently, making sure to position his weight on either side of you so he wouldnât crush you. You wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled him down, missing his lips on yours. His hands connected to your waist, softly caressing your love handles, running his hands over them smoothly.
Your lips collided again, and Keanu toyed with the hem of your blouse.
âMay I?â his raspy voice spoke in a whisper, tugging on the bottom of your blouse, asking permission to remove it. It was an action that set your heart a flip. He was such a gentleman, no matter the situation. You had made it quite clear you wanted him as much as he wanted you, yet he still made sure you were definitely on the right page. He respected your boundaries, and that may have just made you want him even more.
âYeahâ you smiled, gently grabbing his hand and helping him move the blouse over your breasts and off your body. He wasted no time in taking his own shirt off, and then moving his hands underneath your resting figure to undo the clasp of your bra. He delicately took it off your shoulders, exposing your bare chest to him. He admired you for a second, before connecting his lips to your neck, kissing each and every inch of the skin. He his wet kisses trailed down your shoulder, over the top of your breasts, dipping between your cleavage and disappearing down your stomach. He made sure he showed you just how grateful he was for you in that moment, how in awe he was with your mind, your body and your soul in that moment. You tangled your hands in his hair, pulling him back up.
Within the next few moments, his pants were off as were yours, leaving you both skin to skin with each other, no barrier in between. Keanu reached over to his nightstand pulling out protection, and slipped it on himself in a swift motion.
âIs this okay, Y/N?â he asked, lined up and ready to show you just how much he wanted you, his voice low, showing concern. He didnât want to do anything you werenât comfortable with; he wouldnât dare want to hurt you in the slightest way.
You nodded frantically, ready to feel him in the most intimate, cherished way possible.
And with that, he slipped himself in, lips connecting to your neck leaving love bites. He moved passionately, his hand lacing in yours, your hands on his shoulders, gripping them tight. A few moans escaped your lust filled lips, feeling all of him.
The night was amorous, filled with heartfelt admiration and praise for each other. You both gave each other a part of yourselves that night. A part that perhaps, you would never get back.
It was now morning, and there you were, on the edge of the bed, anxiety ridden, with the evidence of last night sprawled over the floor in forms of your clothing. You had woken up with Keanuâs arm secured around you, snoozing away.
It was a confusing feeling, but you couldnât quite shake the feeling that you may have made a mistake. Keanu was, after all, your co worker. It was a professional setting you worked in together. But he was also your closest friend here, in this town of a billion lights, but an unexplained solitude. Perhaps last night was just a moment of passion for him, a spur of the moment where he needed you, but perhaps, that was all it was. You couldnât possibly be dreaming of a future with him, could you? He was a star, he had it all. People like him probably do this all the time when theyâre lonely and need someone. Your pessimistic train of thought had got the best of you.
Keanuâs eyes opened, and he felt a dip on the edge of the bed. He instantly smiled to find you still on his bed, wrapped in nothing but his bed sheets, showing an indication of the love you shared the night prior. He reached forward and touched your arm.
âHey youâŚâ He smiled. You didnât reply, nor turn around.
Keanu moved towards you, approaching you from behind, and attached his hands to your waist. He began to leave soft kisses along your nude, exposed shoulder, running his hands up and down your sides, the same love evident in his gestures. That was when he heard you sniff.
âWoah Y/N, are you okay sweetheart?â he whispered, slightly taken back, immediately moving himself away. âIâm so sorry Y/N, I shouldnât have, I just thoughtâŚ. I donât know.â He spoke moving away, running a hand through his hair, thinking he had made you uncomfortable.
Your tears got heavier at that point. You felt like a fool. You werenât even sure why you were crying, perhaps you were just scared that this was all only temporary. You felt you had tasted paradise last night, and to have that ripped away from you would have been sheer torment.
âIâm sorry Y/N. Y/N? Is something wrong? Did I do something? I apologize if I did something wrong, I just thought weâŚyou knowâŚâ he trailed off, still extremely concerned, his eyes filled with worry that he had been the cause for your tears. He gave you space, hoping not to further upset you.
âY/N can IâŚ. can I touch you?â He asked cautiously.
You nodded in return, you wanted to feel him close. Perhaps it would be the remedy to calm you down.
He scooted over closer, and wrapped his arms around you, kissing the top of your head repeatedly, whispering soothing dialogues in your ears.
âYouâll be okay honey; youâll be just fine. Iâm right here. Talk to me, Y/N.â he whispered. You held onto him tighter, scared to open your mouth. You werenât even sure what to say. What even was there to be said?
âKeanu...â you started finally, with your shaky voice.
He looked you in the eyes, full of compassion, encouraging you to go on as he took your hand in his, rubbing it with his thumb.
âLast nightâŚwe uhâŚit was special. It was really special. I justâŚâ your eyes glanced around the room, unsure of the words to say next. You didnât want to say more, perhaps this was your defence mechanism. To say it first, before he did. To reject. Before he did.
âWhat about it, Y/N?â Keanu quietly questioned, suddenly feeling insecure. Had he not shown you properly what you meant to him? Had he not expressed his love to the best of its ability?
âLast night was really special to me too, Y/N.â He glanced down at your intertwined hands.
âReally?â you questioned, looking up at him.
âYeah⌠I felt something, Iâve always felt something here. I feel like thereâs something that pulls me to you. Iâm really not too good at the whole confessions thing but I uhâŚI canât help but feel like thisâŚfeels right. Gosh I donât even know if Iâm making sense I just...â he trailed off, before you interrupted.
âI uh, I agree. I feel something too; I see something in you that I admire. Your eyes connected finally, both feeling the confidence to stop staring away from each other.
âIf youâll have me, Iâm willing to try. Youâre special, Y/N. I donât want to lose that.â Keanu confessed.
You rest your head against his bare chest, pulling the sheet covering your figure higher up. He wrapped his arms around you again, resting his head on top of yours for the second time that morning. You traced the veins on his arms, admiring his figure and everything about him. His cologne from the night before still lingered on his porcelain skin. It felt nice to be close to him again.
âIâm sorry, where are my manners.â He chuckled. âIâll let you get dressed Y/N. Perhaps I can make us breakfast, if youâll spend the morning with me, love?â he smiled down into your hair, breathing in your shampoo.
âPerhaps.â You smiled up at him, grasping onto his bicep tighter. âPerhaps, Iâd like that a lot.â

I was walking around the main stage set where they would be filming the most iconic scene ever, the Live Aid sequence. I was just in awe at how the stage designers were following everything by the book, from the brick wall patterns, to the posters that hung on them at the time, even some of the paint chipping away.
For those that are curious, the nameâs (y/n) (l/n). Iâve been on the road with Queen ever since they started working alongside my best friend, Adam Lambert. Â Yep, Adam and I go way back since middle school as a matter of fact. Â We were both the awkward kids who no one really paid attention too and loved classic rock, esp. Queen. Â When Adam told me he was planning to audition for American Idol, I just couldnât let him go on alone.
I was his big supporter and went to every live performance cheering him from the sidelines, even helping his team organize and making sure he had everything he needed to his performances. Â And even though he was a runner up, he was still a winner in my book. Â Then when he came out to me as well as the world about his sexuality, that didnât change my perspective of him. Â I stuck by him because we were the Odd-kids through thick and thin.
Then by 2014 he met up once again with Queen a few years after performing with them back during his season of American Idol and thatâs when they offered Adam to be the new leading man for their concerts and thus Queen+Adam Lambert was born.
And then just two years later, Queen officially began to project that was the film âBohemian Rhapsody.â Â Adam had invited me along since he had a small little cameo to play and he said that I could potentially have a small role in the film too, but I turned to role down. Â I justânever really fit well with a cameraâs attention on me.
But here I am as support for Adam as well as Brian and Roger. Â Those two men have really become role models and sorta like second dadâs to me in a way. When life got to stressful on the road; Brian always took me aside and the two of us would look at the SaveMe animal videos he had on his website, while Roger was the one with the good therapeutic music to listen to, he even got me into some bands that I never really had the chance to listen too. Â Even his former solo bandâs âThe Crossâ music.
âOh my god. This is beautiful.â It was then I bumped into someoneâs back.
âOh sorry my fault.â We both said at the same time but when I looked up to see just who it was that I had bumped into, I felt like I needed to do a double take because I swear to god I thought I was looking at Brian May at the time of Live Aid.
âWow youâre gorgeous.â I thought I had said in my head but apparently my lips just had to voice it out loud to him. Embarrassingly I hid my face but I heard the Brian look-alike softly chuckle and he said.
âItâs fine love, Iâm flattered, really. Guess I really look the part donât I?â
âYeah.â I nervously giggled.
âIâm Gwilym. And as you can probably tell by the wig, Iâm playing Brian May in the film.â
â(Y/n). Iâm uhhâAdamâs best friend.â God could this be any more humiliating.
âOh so youâre the one Brian and Roger told us about. The clever roadie.â
âWell I wouldnât call myself clever. They just flatter me because I work for them.â
âNo, no, no. Brian especially talks about how youâve been able to work on fixing all the AMPS that break down during rehearsal, or knowing when exactly his red special needs a tuning or new string set.â I blushed and thatâs when he said, âOh Iâve gone and rambled making you uncomfortable. Iâm so sorry (y/n).â
âItâs fine Gwilym. So is this your first acting gig? Or have you been doing this for a while?â
âI guess you could call me a child actor. My first gig was in a show called Animal Ark, I think I was 13 years old when I auditioned for it. Then after getting my education I dived fully into the acting industry with a few television shows and a few movies. My recent big project was when I was in Midsomer murders, have you heard that show?â
âI think so. My dad was always into British tv more than American tv. Even though he was born in Minnesota.â
âI was only on for only 3 series before I went into some other projects.â
âWell Iâd love to see the show sometime. And you said it was called midtown murders?â
âMidsomer, actually.â
âOh right sorry.â
âItâs okay.â
And thatâs kinda what we ended up doing. Â We just sat there and talked right up until it was time to start filming. Â I wished him good luck and as the actors got into place, I stood beside Roger, Brianâs daughter Emily and Peter âPhoebeâ Freestone. Â Shortly after the boys entered the stage much like Queen did 31 years Brian came up and sat down beside me and thatâs when Rami, who was playing Freddie, set down at the piano and the guys all began to play the full Live Aid set.
As I looked at each of them I knew each of these guys had done their homework. Â And seeing them in full costume and shtick, it was like I was actually there at the concert seeing them. Â Of course my eyes were especially focused on Gwil who played Brianâs red special with such ease and finesse, it was like I was really watching Brian during the time of Live Aid.
Of course being a Queen fan, I couldnât help but interact with each song they did, the double handclap for Radio Gaga and We will rock you, following along to the Aye-ohâs, headbanging to Hammer to fall, dancing to Crazy little thing called love, and swaying to We are the champions.
After doing several rehearsals, Dexter finally decided to film the guys for real this time. Â And even though it was cold and the guys were probably exhausted, they still managed to perform the whole show once more with even more energy and enthusiasm when the cameras were really recording. Â By the end of it all, I couldnât wipe the smile off my face.
When I finally came backstage after the guys and some of the crew congratulated them on a job well done, I donât know why it happened but I couldnât help but fling myself towards Gwilym and embrace him.
âSeems our Brian look-alike has found his little groupie.â Teased Rami using his Freddie voice. Â At that point I backed away and released him.
âSorry. I justâgot a little excited. Seeing you four up there it was likeâfinally seeing all four members of Queen back together for the first time in a long time.â
âWeâre glad you loved it (y/n).â Gwilym said with a soft smile that made butterflies tickle my stomach.
âSo you said you love Queen? Whatâs your favorite song of theirs?â asked the John Deacon look alike, damn much like Gwil, he definitely looked like Deacy, I can see why the casting directors chose him, it was like he was his son or something.
âOh god well donât tell them this but itâs definitely Somebody to love.â
âI like her already. We match!â he raised his hand up for a high five which I complied to give him as he introduced himself as Joe Mazzello.
Pretty soon I knew the other two actorâs names, Ben Hardy who was playing Roger, and Rami Malek who was playing the legend himself Freddie Mercury.
*Brianâs POV*
As I watched our genius little roadie chat up with the actors playing us, my mind kept going back to that hug she gave my look-alike.
âI know you saw that right, I mean I maybe blind as a fucking bat but I know my eyes didnât deceive me on what I just saw.â Roger said as he came up to me.
âYour eyes do not lie Rog. I saw what you saw.â
âYou know our girl doesnât just hug any random guy.â
âYep. And that shy little gleam in her eyes, dare I say I think our mini-Deacy is in love with my look alike.â
âNot to say Iâm happy for her, but I feel like she couldâve chose better.â Roger teased.
âOh shut it you old tart, youâre just jealous she didnât pick your actor.â
âNothing against yours, cause bloody hell itâs like Iâm looking at you 30 years ago over there.â I softly chuckle. Yeah they definitely casted the perfect actor to play me, and seeing Gwilym with the wig on itsâŚ..mind boggling (although I had to slightly adjust the wig a bit) but other than that he was perfect. âSo, shall we go and confront her about it?â
âNow hold on Rog, you know how she gets when sheâs being fully confronted. Sheâll completely shut down. Letâsâwait it out. See what happens, and then weâll see if this is something to discuss with her. But itâll be on my terms.â
âYou just wanna suck the joy out of everything.â I shook my head at Rogerâs statement before turning back towards (y/n) and Gwilym. Â Seeing the two of them talking and laughing with each other warmed my heart. Â Because ever since weâve met her, (y/n) has been the best roadie weâve ever had. Â Sheâs always on top of every sound and light equipment weâve got, she knows how Adam likes his speakers to sound and sheâs even clever enough to see when I need a new string set on my guitars or when Rogerâs kit needs a tuning because of a loose screw that mightâve happened while unloading.
But for whatever reason she sometimes puts herself down, claiming that sheâs not all what weâve both told her she is. That sheâd rather just remain invisible, and I can understand some of her pain because Iâve been there myself with my own self-doubt and insecurities. Â So I hope that if her and Gwilym do somehow manage to form a relationship, he could probably help her see that she is more than she seems.
*My POV*
After a couple weeks of being on set, Gwil and I were definitely spending a lot of time together and every time we got the chance to hang out, weâd talk about our lives or love of Queen.
âSo you and Adam Lambert really knew each other that long?â he asked me.
âYep. It just happened one day during lunch, I was the new kid in town and I feared no one wanted to hang out with me so I ended up eating in the courtyard by myself when Adam, all donned up with his green dyed stripped bangs introduced himself and weâve been friends ever since.â
âSo he was even extravagant even back then.â
âYep. Then when we found out we both had a love for Queen, he refused to let me out of his life afterwards, cause I was the only friend he had that liked or even knew who Queen were.â
âWait are you serious?â
âDead serious. Itâs hard to find people to talk about classic rock with when all they cared about was the rap music or Britney Spears. Or spice girls.â
âWow.â
âSo how did you come to know Queenâs music?â
âYouâll have to thank my old brother. He had basically almost every single Queen record there was, one day I heard him play Bohemian Rhapsody and I was curious. And I guess you could say the rest is history.â
âWell then your brother gets an A+ from me for good music taste.â
âSo how is it touring with Queen and Adam?â
âWell Iâve toured with Adam for so long it just feels like a normal hang out day for us. Once he got the offer to tour with Queen themselves it was like not only meeting my role models but they became family to us. Brian and I have a common love for animals, so much so that Iâve become a daily donor to his SaveMe organization.â
âHey Gwilym. Theyâre ready to start filming.â One of the producers came up.
âWell thatâs my cue, see you after?â
âYou bet.â We stood up and I went ahead and sat down at one of the chairs and watched as the guys did the performance for a Japan concert. Â Iâll admit even with the 70âs silk/satin angel shirt that he was wearing, he still looked pretty handsome and he sure was a brilliant guitarist if I do say so myself.
âI see what youâre doing.â Adamâs sing-song voice whispered in my ear. Â I came out of my daze and whispered to him.
âI have no idea what youâre talking about.â
âOh donât play dumb with me dearie. I have eyes Iâm not blind.â I shook my head and went back to paying attention to the guys now doing Brianâs song â39. Â I clapped along with the song and softly sung the words (cause out of every song Bri had written, this was definitely my #1 fav.) Â When Dexter called cut, I suddenly felt myself being dragged away and soon found myself in a closet of sorts.
âAdam what the fuck is the matter with you?â
âWell would you rather talk about this out there where everyone can hear, potentially your secret lover too?â I immediately covered his mouth with my hand and I hissed at him as I shushed him.
âShh! Shh! Speak louder why donât you I donât think they heard all the way from Glasgow!â I then retracted my hand in disgust as I felt him actually lick my palm. âWhy must you do that?â
âCause I know it annoys you.â He shrugged.
âYou can be such an asshole sometimes Lambert.â
âYeah but you always stick around me dearie.â He said smugly as he leaned up against the wall of the closet crossing his arms. âNow as I was saying back there, youâre really starting to get attached to Brianâs mini-him arenât you?â
âNo!â I snapped abruptly. Â He quirked his brow at me before I cleared my throat and said. âNo, weâre just friends is all Adam. In fact if you keep going down this path, I might just replace you with him.â
âThat hurts (n/n), that really hurts.â He mocked in pain as he placed his hand over his heart and gave me the puppy dog pout. âBut girl câmon for realzies, whatâs up with you?â
âNothing is up, okay can you just drop it? Now if youâll excuse me Gwilym and I are due for a coffee break.â I walked out of the closet and stormed out trying to get my mind off of what Adam was hinting. Â As I was walking, I soon came up to Gwilym and when he saw me he smiled and I tried to calm my anger down as I approached him calmly.
âYou okay (y/n)?â
âYeah, yeah why would you say that?â
âJustâfor a moment it looked like you were pissed at something.â
âOh nothing you need to worry about, so you free for some coffee and catering? I know youâve got a long day ahead of you, might not be a bad idea to have a good lunch.â
âGreat because I had to skip breakfast when my alarm failed to wake me up this morning.â
âWell then we better hurry. We need food stat, canât have one of the four Queen members perform on an empty belly.â We then raced over towards the catering and got us some food and coffee.
When we got it and was now walking through the studio where they were now setting up the Madison Square Garden set just opposite of where the Japan stage was earlier this morning.
âWait so that actually happened?â asked Gwilym.
âHe tries to deny it and blames it on the poor lighting the camera had but donât be fooled. His son Rufus told me the whole story of how it happened.â
âI canât believe he made his hair green.â
âHis hair was already blonde as it was, heâs lucky it didnât make his hair bleach blonde.â
âWell thatâs not as funny as Joe thinking heâll be able to wash out that perm he got.â
âWhoa, whoa, whoa, whoa he thinks what now?â
âYeah Joe thinks that in the next week or two itâs gonna grow out and go back to normal.â
âOh my god Joey!â I laughed.
âLike just the other night we were all out in the pub the four of us and he was chatting away to a girl with his Yankees cap on. So I went up and flipped the hat off and said as I pointed to his hair âheâs got a permâ!â I couldnât help but laugh hysterically.
âYou are so bad.â
âYeah. Bad wingman but good friend.â I continued laughing which turned into giggles.
âAhh Joey, Joey, Joey, Joey.â
âGAHH SON OF A BITCH!!!â we both heard someone call out.
âUh-oh.â I said as Gwil and I looked at each other and set out stuff aside on a nearby table before racing across the studio and I asked. âWhat happened?â
âDamn circuits in these lights shocked me and now I can barely feel my hand anymore.â Said one of the light engineers.
âOkay, okay here let me see it.â I walked up to him and held his hand in both of mine. Â There was some slight swelling but I thankfully no serious burn marks. âWell good news is, is that thereâs no serious burn marks. But it is swollen red. I suggest some ice and rest for the rest of the day. And get a medic to check out your reflexes in case the shock mightâve nulled your muscles.â
âBut we need another light technician to help us raise these lights for the Madison Square Garden set.â Said a female volunteer.
âYouâre looking at your spare one. Besides Iâve spent my whole life with Roger and Brian to know how they want MSG to look. Now, whatâs your name?â I turned to the guy who got shocked.
âArnold.â
âArnold, go see a medic about your injury and take the rest of the day off. Anyone asks or has a problem with it, send them my way, okay?â
âOkay, thank you.â He said with a slight smile before heading out to the medics trailer.
âOkay now what exactly are we dealing with here?â I asked the seven other light technicians.
âWell weâre trying to make sure all these lights intersect with each other so that they can change colors like they do at the real MSG. Arnold was working on the main circuit board to work the code in when it backfired and you heard what happened as the result.â
âOkay well first things first it couldâve been prevented if he were wearing gloves, rookie mistake.â I then took out my gloves that I always keep on me in my back pocket and put them on. âGoggles.â I said as I extended my arm out and someone handed me some spare goggles. Â Once I had them on I proceeded to work.
I called out for various equipment pieces like the 4 in 1 Podger rachet, a Leatherman supertool, and some batteries. Once I had the main board opened I began working on finding the loose circuit that probably caused Arnoldâs shocking surprise because that needed to be fixed immediately.
Using a mini-flashlight I managed to find the area and found the problem.
âOkay I see the problem. Can someone hold the flashlight for me?â
âI got it.â Said one of the female volunteers as she came up and took the flashlight from me and I went right to work on the wires, making sure they were tucked in correctly and un exposed. Â It took some time but by the end of it all, I punched the code that was needed for the lights to turn on.
âThere, that should do it.â I said as I took my gloves off and removed my goggles.
âOkay boys raise her up!â called the main lighting technician and soon the lights were raised up. Â Then using his phone, he activated the lights and they soon began shining into a red and blue pattern that would go along with the orange, yellow and green pattern. Â The light technicians clapped and thanked me for the assistance and when I turned to Gwil, he just had this awed look on his face.
âSorry you had to see that. Whenever I hear a technical problem I just gotta jump in.â
âWell Iâm glad you did. I was amazed to see how you were able to work all that out.â
âOh itâs not that hard. All I had to do was just tighten the circuits and then replace the batteries while alsoâoh there I go again. My tech ramblings again, sorry if Iâm boring you Gwilym you donât need to hear all that.â
âNo, no, no itâs genius. I mean back when I was doing theater in secondary and university, I never really had a good grasp on the tech theater side of it even though I was trying my best.â
âNot everyone does. I was the only one who took the class seriously back in high school. Everyone else rather just look at their magazines or porno books. Donât ask me how they snuck it in.â
âWow, well thankfully they had you to take it seriously.â
âUh-huh.â I said sadly as I looked down and rubbed my wrist nervously.
â(Y/n)?â
âHmm?â
âYou okay?â
âYeah, yeah Iâm fine. Justâthinking back.â
âAnything youâdâŚ..like to share? Iâve been told Iâm a good listener.â
âThank Gwilym but I donât wanna bore you with my life. Câmon letâs get back to our food before youâre needed on set again.â I said as I walked away and went back to my donuts and Cinnabons. Â Gwil followed behind me and began to eat his celery and carrots as well as drinking his coffee, as we ate I tried my best to avoid eye contact with him up until I finished my things and tossed them in the bin before heading out.
Making an excuse that Bri and Rog had texted me saying that they wanted to talk about the lighting and sound for their next concert.
Later that night as everyone was packing up to do some of the outdoor scenes like Adamâs big cameo appearance, I found myself standing away from the set just staring up at the night sky.
âPenny for your thoughts?â I looked up to see Gwil coming by to sit beside me in the spare chair where Adam was just sitting at before he went to hair and makeup.
âJustâtaking in the sky.â He looked up and he said.
âItâs a full moon out tonight.â
âYep. The one time for a straight week where the tides are stronger and can sometimes have an effect on the human mind.â
âQuite the philosopher you are.â
âWell I did minor in it in college. My major was in electrical engineering.â
âSo not only good with your hands but also a brilliant mind in philosophy as well. No wonder why Brian calls you the mini-Deacy.â I smiled briefly.
âThe reason why I know about the full moon is because of him. He did give me a little lecture on astronomy. But Iâd be lying if I didnât have a fascination with space already. Justânever could understand the specific science talk it came with.â
âI hear yah. When I was a kid; my brother and I would go out to the backyard and weâd just look up at the stars and make as many pictures with them as we could. Sometimes we even stayed out all night. Worried my mum to no end.â
âI think itâd worry me too if my kids ended up staying outside in the cold night with no blankets or a tent to sleep in.â we turned to look at each other and once again Gwil had this awed look on his face, just like he did this afternoon. âWhat is it?â
âNothing itâs justâŚ..â he trailed off.
âJust what?â
âYour eyes.â
âMâmy eyes?â
âTheyâŚ.they sparkle underneath the moonlight. Almost like they were two stars themselves.â I was speechless.  I felt my heart race and my face beginning to heat up.  I turned away probably blushing as red as an apple right now.  I felt Gwilâs hand gently go on top of mine, before intertwining them together which made me look up at him.  It was then I saw him lean closer towards me, his forehead pressing against mine while his nose gently brushed up against mine.
At this point I could hear my heart racing in my ears as the smell of his cologne sent me into a hypnotic state. Â I felt his hand cup the side of my face as he faintly whispered.
âSo beautiful.â But just before he could kiss me, Joeâs voice could be heard from a mile away.
âYO GWIL WHERE ARE YAH!? WEâRE ABOUT TO START FILMING!!!â
âIf this is payback for the pub heâs so gonna get it.â I heard him mutter angrily. Â He turned back towards me and he said, âSorry love.â
âItâs okay.â I strained out. âJust, just, just, just go film your scenes for the night.â I said as I crossed my arms over me protectively and looked down. Â I couldnât look at him, I just couldnât find the strength to do so. Â I then heard him walk away and thatâs when the tears started pouring down.
I took off running to the nearest place I could find. Â I didnât even bother to look and see what it was, all I wanted to know was that I could be alone and that I could cry to myself in peace. Â I collapsed to the floor on my butt and tucked my legs up into my chest and began to softly cry.
I donât know how long I was crying in wherever I was for but it was then I heard the door open and soon coming in was Adam and Rami.
â(Y/n)?â Adam said surprised. Â I felt myself being torn down as I had finally been revealed. I mustâve came into the hair and makeup trailer and now that they were probably calling it quits, everyone would soon come in and see me crying my eyes out.
â(Y/n) you okay?â Rami asked.
âHey uhh Rami could you give us a moment alone? Maybe guard the door so that no one comes in just yet?â
âYeah, yeah sure thing.â I heard the door shut and thatâs when I saw Adam sit down in front of me. Â I looked up at him to see him in the truck driver get up with the full beard and long haired wig.
âYou were right. Okay you wanna hear me say it Adam Lambert?! You were right! Iâm in love with Gwilym Lee!â
âWhoa, whoa, whoa okay. Okay. Calm down, calm down.â He said as he cautiously reached forward and gently gripped my arms in his hands. âIâm happy you finally came to terms with it dearie, thatâs great news actually. But whatâs got you so upset?â
âFor Christ sake Adam tell me you didnât forget about the bullying I had to endure all throughout middle and high school! And Jared!â at the mention of the boyâs name his eyes widened and he said.
âOkay hold on, wait just a damn second. Gwilym is nowhere near what that dick Jared was. Iâve seen the two of you together and he makes you happier way more than what Jared did.â
âWell Jared made me happy until he did what he did!â I looked down at my knees and continued lowly, âOh Adam. I thought I could just keep up a friendship with Gwilym, but now Iââ I trailed off as more sobs came up my throat as I choked out, âNow IâŚ..I wish I never came here!â I then broke down once more.
I felt Adam sit close beside me before he wrapped his arms around me bringing me into his chest and kissing my forehead as he rubbed my back in soothing circles and stroked down my hair.
Once I calmed down after what felt like crying all night, Adam took me out of the trailer and already I could see a crowd of people including Gwil standing around asking all sorts of questions at seeing me.
âGuys please. No questions are necessary and please donât ask me because I wonât answer them either. What was said in the trailer stays between (y/n) and me.â Adam made a clear statement before finally taking me away to find Brian or Roger.
When we finally came across Roger, he soon got protective and asked.
âWhat happened?â
âRoger could you just take (y/n) back to the hotel, Iâll explain later.â
âAlright, come with me lovie.â I was soon switched out from Adamâs arms to Rogerâs and he guided me towards his car. Â He helped me into the backseat where I could hide away while he drove us back to the hotel.
I was now in my room lying on my bed hiding under the blankets after just spending a long time under the hot water trying to get rid of the memories of Jared.
You seeâI had met Jared during the first collaboration with Adam and Queen. Â He was actually one of Brianâs roadies and helped set up all of Brianâs AMPS. Â We had a common love for electronics and gradated with the same major even being an ocean apart. Â We shortly began dating afterwards and were madly in love.
But when a serious accident caused him to take an early retirement from being on the road since the damage had been done to his lower back. Â Which left me to go on the road with Queen and Adam, but we still kept in touch.
Fast forward to just a year ago after four years of dating, I began to wonder if there was gonna be a future with the two of us together. Â So one day after we had gotten done with a tour, I get a text from Jared saying that the next night he wanted to meet me at the very restaurant where we had our first official date at. Â Adam of course was thrilled thinking that a proposal was in the horizon so he helped me get dolled up the next morning (even with him being completely jetlagged) and I met Jared at our restaurant.
I was trembling with anxiety but also with joy. He took my hand, looked deep into my eyes and thatâs when he dropped the bombshell, but it wasnât what youâd think it was. Â Jared had confessed to me in our restaurant where we had our first date, along with many others that he had been cheating on me.
But not just with one woman, not two, not three, but lots of women. Â All in the entire span we had been dating.
I refused to listen to anything else he had to say as he tried to defend himself. Â But no thatâs not the worst part, the worst part of it was, was that the following day (after crying in Adamâs arms all day), Jared came to the stage where Queen and Adam were performing in London and tried to win me back. Saying that it was just a fluck and that he still loved me with all his heart.
Heâd constantly tried to call or text me over 100 times a day. Â The harassment went on for months till finally I had a restraining order put against him and if he should violate it in the state of England, heâd be arrested. To which he was and was sentenced to five years in jail for refusal to obey the restraining order as well as stalking (yeah heâd stalk me cross country during some of the tours and even snuck backstage and confronted me with arms open and tears rolling down his face).
Ever since then, Iâd been afraid to love again because what if they end up being another Jared. Â Charming, sweet, noble, funny and charismatic, but the second I turn my back heâd go and sleep with half the women in America. And then make me to be the bad guy because I couldnât give them a chance to explain why he had to cheat.
I heard a knock at the door and I could only groan as my door soon opened and I felt three separate dips around my bed.
âAdam told us (y/n).â Brianâs voice said. I groaned and buried myself into my pillow.
âYou know youâll suffocate yourself if you do that.â Adam said.
âBetter that than dealing with this bitch.â I groaned pitifully.
âCâmon (n/n), come out from under there and look at us.â Roger said. I shot up and glared at him and said.
âThere, happy? Goodnight!â before I could collapse back down onto the bed, Adam held me up and trapped me in his arms as he said.
âStay out here.â
â(Y/n). We know thatâyou know who really hurt you.â Brian started off.
âHurt doesnât even come close to how I felt the day he told me that. God never did I want to kill someone until that day.â
âI donât blame you, none of us do.â Adam said as he rubbed my back. âBut you canât let what Jared did affect you for the rest of your life.â
âThink itâs already a little too late for that.â
âNo itâs not. Because look at what youâve accomplished since his arrest. The only guys you had a close connection with are me and the guys. Now youâve become friends with Rami, Ben, Joe and Gwil. And whatâs even greater is that youâve come to accept that youâre starting to have feelings for Gwil.â Adam said. Â I looked down and I said.
âHow do I know itâll work out? What if itâs like Jared all over again?â
âYouâll never know unless you go for it.â Roger said. I looked between the three of them but didnât answer.
âThe choice is up to you (y/n). Just make sure that whatever you do decide, you wonât regret it. And just listen to your heart. Weâll support you no matter what you choose.â Brian said as he placed a comforting hand to my shoulder. Â I nodded and thanked the guys as they brought me into a group hug.
The next morning I came onto set for the last time (since Adam was done with his cameo, he was needed back at the studio to promote some of his solo stuff, and as his SM manager I needed to be there to spread the word) to confront Gwilym and finally let go of the past (if I could).
I walked around the set till I finally found the person I was searching for. Â He was fiddling around with a mock Red special practicing before he would have to film the âWe will rock youâ scene. Â I took a deep breath in before exhaling out and walked towards him.
âHey Gwil?â he looked up at me and said.
â(Y/n). Youâreâyouâre still here. I thought you and Adam already left?â
âNo, not till tomorrow. I uhhâI wanted to talk to you. AboutâŚâŚâ I trailed off and thatâs when he stood up setting the guitar down and finished my thought.
âAbout last night?â I nodded. He sighed heavily as he pressed his hands to his face, âIâm really sorry (y/n). I never meant to upset, I was impulsive and stupid to do that. Can we just forget what happened? I was way out of line.â
âActually Gwilym IâI have something to confess. But can we talk somewhere privately?â
âOf course, we can talk in my trailer. If youâre comfortable with that.â I nodded and soon the two of us headed towards his trailer.
When we got there, he closed the door and I sat down on his sofa while he sat down at one of his chairs and said.
âOkay (y/n), what is it you need to confess?â my leg was bouncing up and down as I tried to formulate the words that I was about to tell him. Â I felt the familiar sting of tears in my eyes.
âGod Iâm sorry.â I choked out.
âNo, no, no never feel sorry about this. Please take your time.â
âLast night IâI wasnât upset because of the, well the about to be kiss. In fact IâI wanted to kiss you too.â
âBut.â He stated knowing that I had something else to add on.
âThereâs aâreason why Iâm so insecure about myself. Andâwhy I havenât been in a relationship.â I then proceeded to tell him everything. Â From the bullies at school, to Jaredâs story and how badly he had hurt me. Used me. Treated me like trash. Â By the end of it all, Gwil was leaning up against his chair with a heavy expression.
âThat son of aâbloody hell. (Y/n) IâIâm so, so sorry you had to go through that hell.â
âBrian, Roger and Adam made it easier on me. After his arrest they allowed me to take some time off from the rest of the tour that I was dealing with to decompress from all that stress. I thought I would never love someone ever again. UntilâŚâŚI met you.â I admitted the last part shyly.
âYouâyou love me?â
âItâs okay if you donât feel the same. I justâhad to get it off my chest. So if Iâve made things awkward between us now, Iâm sorry. We donât have to see each other again.â
â(Y/n), (y/n) (y/n) (y/n) (y/n), (y/n).â Gwil came up and knelt in front of me and held my face in his hands. âSorry you were starting to ramble on so much I could barely understand you.â
âSorry. Adam always said I did that whenever I get to anxious. Bad trait of mine.â
âNo worries love. Now to put your fears and anxiety aside, I want to tell you that I felt the same way about you. After spending these last few weeks together, I came to know the real you and not just through the stories from Brian and Roger. But now hearing this story, which I commend you for telling me. I know you didnât have to tell me but you did. And I could go on and on about my feelings for you but to summarize it all up, if youâll give me a chance. Iâll show you that not all men are like that selfish arsehole. I can be the man you deserve. The one who will treat you right, like youâre the only women left on Earth.â
âDo you really mean that?â
âThe only girl Iâll love as much as you is my mum.â I smiled and pressed my forehead against Gwilâs and softly thanked him. âI promise (y/n). Youâll be my clever girl.â
âThink I like the sound of that.â
âWell you better get used to it, because there will be a lot of cute little nicknames in the future.â
âJust as long as you donât give me any cheesy ones like bunny, or cupcake, or turtledove.â
âSpoil sport. And those were the first three I was thinking of.â I softly laughed as a true genuine smile came across my face. âAnd thereâs that beautiful smile that makes me week at the knees. Next to your eyes, your smile is the brightest thing about you.â
âGwil stop it youâre making me blush.â He softly chuckled before slowly leaning his lips towards mine and he gave me a soft kiss. When I felt that sudden bolt of electricity shoot up my spine, I knew that Gwil was definitely going to be different than Jared. Â Even with that soft peck, there was so much passion and love in it that Jared never brought me.
I leaned forward and captured his lips once more, this time brushing my fingers through his short brown hair as I felt his arms slowly wrap further around me.
This was gonna be an adjustment in the days to come. After coming out of the relationship I had, I knew there would be some doubts in the future, especially with Gwil and I having separate careers always being a part from each other (me more than him) but I felt in my bones that when he made that promise earlier, he meant it.
And I was proven right that within 2 years shortly after the Bohemian Rhapsody premiere, I got a proposal right there at the red carpet.

Reviewcaps: Mega Man: Fully Charged (BOOM!) #1
After 5 long years the Blue Bomber returns to comics and to the Fully Charged Universe! Things get a lot more grim as Aki grapples with a new robot army under actual robots, his buried past, and the fact Mega Mini is still around for some reason. Cracked skulls and dead cells under the cut.Â
So iâm a huge mega man fan. I havenât really talked about video games here because this is my first video game adaptation, but yeah, I love em and Capcomâs vast and awesome franchise of robots and humanoids in blue, and in one case red, is one of my faviorites. From children blowing up tons of robots from a balding man who dosenât get the hint already, to the pacifist soldier forced to fight in a war against robot whales, buffalo, mammoths, and other bizzare robot animals, to his best friend who has amnesia for some reason fighting more robot animals because capcom ran out, to his human sucessors wearing him like a hat, to some guy who turns out to be a war machine I havenât played yet because I havenât gotten the chance to and is the only part of the franchise I havenât, to another universe where heâs the ai versoin of a dead child whose now a teenager mentally, to that aiâs sucessor a shy child whose dad was kidnapped by a space monster and fuses reguarly with a much cooler space monster. What iâm saying Is I deeply love this franchise, this franchise is complicated iwth all the branches, and itâs also full of lovely nonsense.Â
So naturally with that many versions and a decades long history Mega Manâs had a healthy life in one of my other faviorite meddieums: Comics. Over in his home country of Japan Mega Manâs had tons of Manga: The biggest and one of the few to make it here is Mega Man Megamix, a bunch of stories that, after the first two adapted the first two games in their own rough way, took place after each of the various games, and is pretty damn good. Others off the top of my head include a Mega Man x adaptation where X dates a mermaid, a weird mega man zero adaptation, and a longrunning adaptation of Mega Man Battle Network, all ones I need to read.Â
Even Brazil had a Mega Man Manga... which I need to cover too.. less because itâs actually good or notable, and more because itâs BATSHIT INSANE, and you can read about it here. But the cliffs notes: Roll is an adult woman who goes around naked half hte time and is the most importnat character, X is master roshi with all the restraint and panty snatching that implies, and therâes a character that one writer tried to have kill everyone and take over the comic.. yes really. I go most of this .l from that page but itâs documented on various wikis that this did actually happen. Just.. why. All of it. Meanwhile in the US.. we didnât get that many. No nintendo power adaptations despite being a huge franchise, no horrible malibu comics like street fighter got. There was one attempt by Dreamwave comics in the early 2000â˛s a series that only lasted 5 issues, and had mega man trying to go to school and some intresting if loose takes ont he franchise.. but the company bottomed out due to horirble mismanagment soon after and mega man sat ont he shelf for a while until the early 2010â˛s. At a time when Capcom had given up on the franchise, which has thankfully changed dramatically with the release of 11 and the various mega collections, they still gave the liscence to Archie comics, who, wanting some more of that sweet money they were getting off of sonic, gladly took the lisence and gave it to Sonic Scribe and easily the best one the comic had during itâs long run, Ian Flynn, who set about adapting mega man from day 1, while incorperating nods and call forwards to the various other versions of the blue bomber, and adding his own nice touches. What iâve read is really damn good and itâs a shame it got cut off right before the adaptation for mega man 4. Iâm only being so brief as .. I intend to cover it like iâve been saying. I love the character, Flynnâs comic was one of the best versions of him bar none, and I could use more comics content on here too. Itâs a win win, smiles all around. But yeah sadly Archie lost intrest in doing non-Archie stuff, with the Archie Horror Line proving a sucess and a reboot on the horizon. While I do LOVE Archie Comics, this edotiral decision still leaves a bad taste in my mouth and left fans without any mega man till 11 came out and any comics till this year, when the rights apparently lapsed and Boom! Studios, home of such great comics as the mighty morphing power rangers ongoing and JOhn Allisonâs wonderful Giant Days, swept it up. Hopefully Boom! will reprint the archie comics eventually, but until then they decided to do a softish reboot of another version of the franchise, another one that like Archie had been given a raw deal.. but unlike Archie had issues: Mega Man; Fully Charged
While most of you probably know this as a refrsher Mega Man: Fully Charged was a cartoon from a few years back, a CGI adatpation of the games in an attempt to get in on that market by Ben 10 and Generator Rex maestroâs Man of Action. Like the Dreamwave comics it followed Mega Man, now Aki LIght as he went to school, did school stuff, and also fought rouge robots after school with secret powers he unlocked before the pilot and were never elaborated on in show. The show kept Dr. Light, Mega Manâs creator and dad, and his dog Rush who while at first looking nothing like the games was later upgraded to resemble his game counterpart more from what iâve heard and whatâs present in this comic. Replacing Megaâs sister Roll, as his real name was Rock because the Mega Man staff loved musical puns, was Suna.. whos basically the same character but human and with an entirely diffrent design. The show also, for whatever fucking reason, added... Mega Mini.. a tiny robot with a brooklyn accent who lived inside Aki, Mega Manâs regular name in this series which iâm fine with as while I do lik ehim going by Rock, I get thatâs not really a name. Mini also manages his powers, makes stupid jokes and makes me pray for death but death wonât come. As you can tell I hate the little bugger from the handful of episodes iâve watched. Rounding out our main heroes is Akiâs best friend Bert Wily, whose likely related to the canon wily and is your standard dorky best friend, but his roll as an inventor does come in handy since Mega hasnât told his dad heâs a superhero, though itâs revealed in the end that he knows.. I did do my homework, even if iâve only seen a handful of the series. More on that in a minute. Opposing Mega Man were various robots from the games, adapted with varying degrees of design, from the good.Â
To the okay if a bit weird.Â
To the how the fuck is this airman. This is airman
Really good basic design. This is what fully charged calls airman,Â
Why.. why not just make him Wind Man. He looks more like Wind Man.. why did ... I can bitch about this later when I cover the series, which, yes AGAIN I intend to. BUt seriously he has an awesome looking fan for a face. How do you screw that up.Â
Behind the robot masters was Sgt. Night. See in a nice twist, and one of the things I like about the series, the world of Fully Charaged already had the kind of robot on human war that would plauge the main mega man timeline for centuries in the backstory, with LIght and Night being vetrans. Night being a racisit moron, wanted to keep robots apart and set up a false flag operation do do so as Commander Night. He however.. wasnât a compelling vilian and apparnetly dosenât really get better, not having any depth to his operations or actoins and his basic plan turns out to be, thank you research, to wipe all robots minds to be subservient.. heâs just.. bland compared to wily who while not complex in his motives, he just wants to take over the world, still has style and in some cases, real thought to his plans. Sure the vast majority are âblame it on someone elseâ but in a LOT of those cases, thereâs still thorught and effort put into who heâs blaming to take doubt away from him. IN universe at least. Helping night, is Namagem... yes Mega Man..spelled backwards and this series protoman, but hte character suprisingly DOES sound intresting... he just has one of the worst names in human history. Like my god, in god we trust why not just use proto man. the Character is basically proto man, with the interesting backstory of night kidnapping him, and apparently the series gets loads better once he arrives, so iâm not going to be too hard on the name, as the writers were likely stuck with it.  But as iâve made apparent.. I havenât watched much of the series. I do want to watch it all and iâm aware the second half is much better, but when trying to binge watch it at a friends house I only got about halfway through season 1, and then just forgot to keep going. And the series does have good pieces: a compelling background of a brutal war, mysteries to unlock, and a steady supply of new villians via the games long history and the series own original, and honestly intresting sounding and looking, robot masters... but it stapled all this to a âcocky hero fights viliansâ every week setup weâve seen a million times and didnât grab me, but the intresting worldbuildnig and original bits do have me wanting to give it another try so look forward to that. And with all the intresting bits i was truly invested to see a comic make more out of this part of the franchise,a nd was utterly excited, as it could be what the series couldâve been with less hampering by the various parties involved, as fully charged felt like it had a lot of executive madates slapped on. So free of those and free to be whatever it wants with Joe Kelly advising, what has fully charged become? letâs take a look.Â
We Open 6 months after the series with the comic helpfully catching us via news broadcast.. and the art being moody with washed out colors the tone having done a 180. Seriously it is kind of weird for this unvierse to go from early generator rex, a dark backstory with a bizzarely cheery tone to full on Blade Runner or to put it in mega man terms, The Megas. Seriously the breif bit of silicon city we see , the constant rain as a mysteroius figure whose revealed at the end of the next page to be Namagem.. I expect that a pretty hologram in a raincoat is going to pop up next to him any moment... what I can pick which blade runner I want to refrence. Shoo.Â
Anyways a broadcast debate between a human reporter and her robot coanchor , ron roburgundy as I will call him, fills us in on exposition, while Mega Man himself narrators like this is a noir.. again iâm half expecting harrison ford to show up. Aki muses about how the city, HIS CITY, almost fell.. oh god is frank miller writing this? Are we going to get a middle schooler talking about how much he wants to make love to a city because no one wants that. Anyways, we get expostion, both for anyone who hadnât watched the series to give us the cliff notes, and to also catch up returning fans on what they missed. I like it, despite not having watched fully charged to the end, or known exactly what happened until research, this fills it in nicely: At the end of season 1, as I explained earlier Night was arrested, and is thankfully not a part of it nor is his foghorn leghorn attempt at a southren accent. However the remaning Robot Masters are still rioting and a new army of them has started a legit revolution, vandalizing the good guild, which still has that name for some reason despite the tone shift, who are about as compitent as the name implies. Hereâs file footage of them fighting Pharoah Man.Â
Anyways Dr. Light is going to negotiate peace and as I mentoned earlier nams is watching with a glare on his face. And yeah I .. I canât keep calling him Namagem. That name is just bad and whoever came up with it is one of the biggest morons in marketing history as is whoever decided to force the poor creative team to use it. However while he is Protoman in ways.. it just dosenât fit. The two were made together in this unvierse, maybe weâll see as this comic fills in the blanks, and furthermore heâs a bit of protoman and bass.. and since protobass sounds stupid, and blues dosenât work without the theme naming.. iâm going with Breakman, protomanâs disgusie from 3. With the heavy scaring, broken past and general state of him it just.. fits and HOPEFULLY the comic will give him a full on rename. If it does iâll go with that but for now I just want to keep from slamming my head into a keyboard every time I have to type out NAMAGEM... excuse me.Â

Thatâs better. Okay so moving on from my new headache, we cut to the desert where the good guild, which is somehow even worse than Breakmanâs actual name, are escorting light to a bunker in the desert, where the robots outside tell light to leave the good guild inside. Just as well heâd be better protected with a paper mache sword anda note telling them to go away.Â
Naturally, not long inside the robot masters leader forces light to bow and handcuffs him, before revealing himself.Â
Skull Man. Who looks really badass in this thought, the skulls themed scrap throne, his regal posture and his speeches about how he feels that the only way things will be right, and settled is not by the fragile peace silicon city has but by humans beneath his rather sizable boots. And honestly.. he was a good choice for the main robot antagonist: Skull Manâs always had a cool look to him and most versions of him have been pretty cool, and the Megas gave him one hell of a theme song. If you havenât heard of htem the Megas are an indie rock band that do reworkings of the various songs from mega man games, at the time of this recording a full album for 2, two full albums for 3, an ep for 1, and scattered other songs since the second 3 album, with plans to do their next full album on mega man x. Each of the stage themes for the robot masters is from the prosepctive of one of them and are really damn good and Iâd recommend thema nd skullmanâs.. really fits him here. take a listen.Â

But yeah Skull Man feels like a good choice for a menacing revolutionary, as well as a former combat robot as he himself was apparently in the hard wars. He honestly reminds me a lot of more than meets the eye megatron in flashbacks.. just good stuff. But being in the wars, heâs naturally not too fond of repetant vetran light and plans to kill him as an example. Light however.. isnât an idiot.. a good man who seeks to do his best, who came in good faith.. but just in case he put some sort of device under his skin and presses it, signaling his son to come save his ass. And thus he does come ...
And one of skullmanâs minons mistakes him for a bomb.. which light clarifies iâts a BLUE BOMBER. To skullmanâs credit his response is to just order them to go full throttle showing no panic as Mega Man makes his entrance.Â
Light thanks him by.. asking what took him so long.. when his son, whose a middle schooler mind you, had to fight through a bunch of armed assholes to get in here most likely. Mini shows up to my annoyance.. though credit where itâs do his zinger of what took so long âsome birds, a plane, some guy in a capeâ is actually.. really funny. I question why they kept him at ALL, but hey, at least heâs less grating and isnât around long.. more on that in a minute.Â
A really well drawn action scene insues.. while the expressions vary for this comic, I will give the fight scnee, I will give the artist credit for having fluid motion and nice pops of color, most things are kind of blendy into the background other than major character but the color pops where it should.. not exactly my style but it works okay. In a nice change of his character though, Aki offers to spare the various robots there of a fight and possible death, as while he already attacked them it was in self defense. And while it is a 180 from the show.. itâs not only a welcome change as itâs closer to the games canon and a more intersting personality.. it also still works. Aki went through a LOT at the end of season 1: while he did win, he found out he had a brother, his dad knew who he was but was never honest with him about it and also likely knows where his power came from but hasnât told him, and has had to deal with 6 months worth of rioting where heâs unsure what side heâs on, machine like he is or man like his family. Heâs trying to find the right ballance; be the hero his city needs.. but be the man he needs to be, one who will spare his enemies and wonât fight unless he needs to, for the good fo everyone, His friends, his family, everyone in the city who deserves to sleep soundly. And heâs also starting to wonder, via narration of course, if heâs a hero.. or even a kid.. or a weapon> Which again while a bit of a shift from the series again makes sense: heâs a middle school aged boy who started this jsut fighting random assholes and some idiot racist who was transparently evil and had selfish goals.. now heâs fighting against a revolution who MIGHT have a point. While Silcion city seemd fine and equal.. there wer eplenty of idiot swilling to listen to night. As the real world has proven over the last few months, just because things have gotten better, dosenât mean that things are 100% or that prejudice is just gone. Heâs a 12 year old asked to take a stand in a messy conflict that lead to war in the past with his father offering no answers and growing colder. While I thought his angst was bit overblown on first reading the more I think about it the more it fits.Â
Anyways Mega makes short work of the skull squad after they refuse to back down, but while Mega Manâs ready to ghost.. Skull Manâs not done and drills into mega manâs head... and reveals something. Flashbacks.Â
But yeah, Skull Manâs either implanted or restored some memory of Aki fighting in the hard wars.. right alongside dr. light.. with a drill because science. DR. Light then gets REALLY badass, breaking out of the robot restraining himâs grip before fucking UPERCUTTING Skull Man.. jesus christ, Dr.Light clearly traded his empathy for miraclo pills holy balls. Rush helps him escape and take Aki with him but skull manâs confident, he lost the battle but won Megaâs mind. On the way home Mega Man tells dr.light what he saw and isnât sure if itâs the past the future or something else but Dr.Light assures him..
Even though his eyes give away heâs clearly hiding something. Also I havenât mentioned it yet but Dr.Light looks like santa in this sisue, red shirt, blue pants, big white beard. Just.. why though. Just put him in a suit or something. Also Mini crawls out of Megaâs head and passes out due to the memory restoration.. a nice way to write him out while still giving it weight since while the audience is presumibly cheering his long overdue demise, he is akiâs friend.. why I have no idea but he is. Back at the lighthouse, the lightâs home and home base, which is admitely a really good alternate name for light labs and a better one in my opinon. Light brushes off Suna, telling her to go to bed and avoiding telling her anything. Yeahhh.. while it could be the pressure of the situation I really dontâ like dr.lightâs characterization before. Fully Charged, outside of the whole secret identity thing which at least was expalined as Aki not knowing if his dad would let him continue as mega man if he knew, though it extended clearly past the point he was clearly supporting mega manâs actions so I dunno. But he was a compationste scientest, deeply ashamed of his past in the war and wanting to make peace, he was done really well and peformed well by gary chalk. Here? Heâs a dick who clearly did something terrible in the past and treats his kids like crap. Itâs okay to be suspcious of him given the flashback but heâs given us no reason to like him or want to hear his side eventually, and hopefully that changes.Â
Suna talks to Aki who tells her what happened and both side give out good arguments; Suna points out she reallyc anât trust what some creepy asshole put in his head, as Skull Man could just want to brainwash him.. but Aki counters easily and quietly: Howâs he supposed to know whatâs real if his dad wonât tell him anything? He took months to tell Aki he knew about his alter ego, and even before his id came out avoided talking about the hard war, which hasnât changed. He vows to find out though, and Suna naturally is helpful, pointing out thereâs more people to ask and since she actually pays attention in school she knwos just who.. Dr. Wily. Yup heâs finally here. dun dun dun. We then close as Breakman watches and tells his brother he canât stop whatâs started. And weâre out. Mega Final Thoughts: This was a decent issue, doing a fair job of bringing in new readers, and the art was decent and matched the tone.. which If elt was a bit too bleak at times. Better than say a Zack Snyder film at least, but still a bit too close to that form of edgelord for my case. That said it opens up some intresting mysteries and has me at least willing to give it another shot next month and was a solid opener, which while not having the best charcterzation for dr light, vastly improved Aki and Sunaâs while giving us a far more intersting villian in Skull Man. If this holds, weâll see. But until then I plan to cover more mega man comics, as well as my continued weekly coverage of amphibia. Until I see you again, stay safe, wear a mask and later days
