Hellooooo, Nah trust me you're not stupid, Just my writing brain always takes over while I'm making posts and makes them way more convoluted than they need to be lmao. I'm gonna use this as a jumping off point to explain more about this AU. So to answer your immediate questions, Loki switched places with Gabriel when he was supposed to be rescued in order to pretend to be him and Lucifer is out of the cage while Michael and Adam is still trapped.

And for a more detailed answer heres this:

So, this would happen in season 13 (I originally wrote this without thinking about Jack so I'm just gonna put him off the table for now.) Normal season 13 is Loki - Left Gabriel with Asmodeus and seemingly was playing mafia god in a few hotels before getting killed by Gabriel

Lucifer - Out of the cage and messing around on earth

Gabriel - Was in hell and then was rescued and brought to Sam and Dean

Michael - Still trapped in the cage with Adam

In the AU I Wrote up Loki - Took Gabriel's place in hell when the angel was supposed to be rescued and was taken to Sam and Dean under the guise of being Gabriel. For believability and to tie up a loose end he did still kill Asmodeus like Gabriel did in the show. While his main objective is to make Gabriel suffer it's also a little deeper than that. We know Lokis father had him chained to a rock with a snake dripping venom into his eye but he still speaks fondly of him, He doesn't just wanna destroy Gabs relationship with his brothers (because lets be real it's already dead as hell) but to prove that Gabriel COULD have had his family back and they COULD be happy together. Before eventually destroying it. It should be noted that whether or not Gab ACTUALLY could fix his family is a dubious claim at best, it's more about how Lokis forgiveness of his abusive family makes him toxic to everyone else. (I'll be referring to him as "Gabriel" when he's pretending to be him to other characters)

Lucifer - Still out of the cage but who was sought after by "Gabriel" in order to repair their relationship. This actually managed to tap into Lucifers softer side for a while before he mysteriously vanished after a late night convo with "Gabriel" in the bunker. Sam was the last one to see him before said convo. He is still alive and is most likely the one causing all of nature to start reclaiming the earth.

Gabriel - Was never saved from hell by Arthur Ketch but Loki had him put somewhere "better" aka somewhere he can watch what Lokis doing to his brothers. The idea that he might be literally trapped inside like a radio or tv station is really interesting to me and probably where he is. If Castiel can get turned into a clay figure why can't Gabriel be trapped behind a TVs glass screen?

Michael - Since the cage is canonically damaged by this point in the show I don't find it too impossible a powerful god like Loki could sneak in a wisp of his illusion magic. I imagine Michael and Adam are having their own kinda hell right now. And if Loki managed to break Michael out of the cage after winding him up a bit to cause maximum damage who knows. I'll have to think more on Michael specially.

I've written a few Ficlets for this but I haven't exactly given this au a beta reader so there might be a few plotholes or things im forgetting that happened in the actual season 13 but honestly I'm kinda just having fun with this idea. Basil dies instead of Mari AU

He doesn't die by someone, but drowns

Angsty ass Sunflower AU

"AU Idea - Basil dies instead of Mari, and he drowns.

Like I think to that one beach memory, and like Mari's trying to teach Sunny and Basil how to swim, and while Sunny has trouble, he eventually is able to swim on his own a little. Basil had more trouble.

When they went off on their own into the ocean with the others, Basil got washed into many tides, probably trying to get farther into the ocean to take pictures but gets too far in and tries to get back to the shore, trying to scream for help, but his legs fail him and eventually he drowns. Only the Faraway gang finds out Basil's missing after a while and later finds that Basil drowned. (Maybe They find out from the news next day or find Basil's body flowing with the heavy tides.)

Sunny is devastated and grows Aquaphobia because of it, So now he got Thalassophobia and Aquaphobia, maybe other phobias that stem from that (Nyctophobia, Because the Ocean is still very much unexplored.). Sunny learns to be scared of Oceans because despite knowing how to swim, Basil drowned, and that's what scares him and haunts him.

Sunny never heard Basil's yells for help when he was struggling to swim back to safety, but just imagining it scares him too much.

Of course, this fear leaks into his headspace, and it also affects Headspace Basil as a whole as The Ocean reminds Sunny of Basil and it sticks with him a lot

-Basil Something (for at least one of them) would probably have to do with the Ocean -HS Basil has similar smell to the feel of being in a beach -Sunny stays away from the Beaches a lot but stays close to Basil because he doesn't want HS Basil to drown like Basil did.

I think? Sunny would still be going outside during 12-16, but it's sort of Similar to Hero where it takes a lot of time to adjust, like, all he'd do is look through his phone, looking through messages and memories that Basil lived in to make Basil's spirit feel like its there, and Dream about headspace. It'd take a while for Sunny to try going

Outside again, But Mari probably convinces him, even though the death of Basil hurts her too, She knows that it probably hit Sunny hard. Harder since, They weren't really, there. It just happened so Suddenly. I'd also like to think that Mari would take more time off of music to try to help Sunny, Because Sunny just stopped doing a lot of things after Basil died. Probably would try getting food and asking Sunny about things.

When Sunny goes outside after a while, he struggles with making connections, because Basil knew him so well and it felt like his world went upside down when Basil drowned. He's trying to do this to reserve his feelings and try to not get himself emotionally hurt again. He even struggles with trying to talk to Aubrey, Hero and Kel cause of it as well.

I think Sunny visits Basil's grandmother as well, because it's probably so hard to know that your grandson died before you. Sunny learns more of Basil than he'd ever know from stories Basil's grandmother would tell him, and it'd feel like Basil was alive again.

Sunny probably gets a lot of Basil's stuff after Basil dies, probably consistantly looking through the photo album and sulking.

For everyone who has been awaiting what I was going to make Nicholas D. Wolfwood into,,, well I finally decided what type of animal he would be in the AU!

And no, he’s not a wolf. As fitting as that sounds.

I decided to go the Eastern mythology route and given that I already made Vash into a dragon, it just seemed fitting to make Wolfwood into a tiger! 

For anyone who doesn’t see the symbolism, the dragon and the tiger are seen as rivals in Eastern folklore. According to tvtropes, “Both the Dragon and the Tiger are symbols of Chinese Buddhism, with the tiger lunging straight ahead to bulldoze through his opponents, while the dragon is revered more for patience and wisdom from which he then derives fighting power.”

If that doesn’t sound like Vash and Wolfwood, I don’t know what does.

Also the dragon represents spirit/heaven while the tiger represents matter/earth, so that’s another thing too. Its just a classic pairing for those two, if I say so.

No brain worm, we weren't supposed to get this into it. But like all of those thoughts of "we could totally set that dry grass on fire" "what if we put an octo balloon on an explosive barrel" legit work as something a skull kid would suggest, and we had A LOT of those thoughts playing botw.

Honestly, scrolling through old art and seeing how much I've missed skull kids and how I still haven't coped with disliking totk, in hindsight this was bound to happen. Grandma Midna wasn't on the bingo card tho.

You could imagine looking for fan art of a children's show and getting bombarded with nudes is a little startling.

Jazz makes a deal with Desiree after finding her brother in their parent’s basement. And it’s not a pretty sight.

Her deal: Desiree gets a slightly longer leash (in a matter of speaking) as long as Danny and Jazz are safe. (Or something like that. Point is, she made a deal)

I wish this never happened and that Danny and I were safe somewhere else!

There’s a snap of fingers, a bright flash, then she’s outside in an unfamiliar city with sirens blaring and people wailing as a scarecrow runs by with some sort of gas, chased by someone dressed like Vlad adjacent except all black with a weird looking bat symbol on his chest.

Not normal, but also not the weirdest thing she’s seen.

But there’s no sign of Danny.

Desiree looks at Jazz and smiles bitterly, “I never said you’d be safe together.” And disappears.

Meanwhile, Danny wakes up screaming in an alley until he realizes he is not in pain and somehow has no wounds from their parents. His screams attract the attention of a man walking by, who comes to investigate, Danny decides to go invisible right in front of him which was dumb but he was injured just a couple seconds ago so cut him some slack. It really should have freaked the guy out, but he just has an astonished look on his face before also turning invisible.

Or: Jazz is sent to Gotham and Danny is sent to Coast City. Jazz becomes an unwilling part of scarecrow’s scheme (could be any villain) and is saved by a bat (any bat, although I prefer Red Hood or Robin) and Danny accidentally showed Martian Manhunter his powers.

Could work with Superman too in Metropolis. He could pick up a dumpster and throw it at Clark and Clark would calmly catch it while Danny is babbling/apologizing for getting scared and throwing something that could have killed the man, then slowly everything clicks and he disappears, leaving Clark Kent to investigate.

(Also background: Danny has just been told he will be the future Ghost King in this and Jazz was told by Clockwork that she would have a difficult decision and a difficult future in store but that it will be good for them and for the realms. Jazz doesn’t believe in fortune tellers, especially vague ones and says so to Clockwork’s face which cracks a smile. I’d personally write it as a Hardcover ship, but honestly if anyone wants to yoink this and do something else with it, I’d be okay with that too!)

Hear me out: Verlaine and Rimbaud living happily in a ranch house in the French countryside with Chuuya who they adopted (read: stole). They live happily away from the control of any of their governments who want to use them.

And then a few years later, a group of kids, two of whom are currently younger than Chuuya, show up at their door asking for a place to stay for the night.

Verlaine does some digging and convinces Rimbaud to take them in.

And now Verlaine, who claims to be so far detached from humanity, is raising a bunch of kids.

Just like cute domestic moments with them too.

Teruko aging Chuuya up and him not getting any taller and getting upset

Tachihara tripping and scratching his nose and Verlaine cleans it and puts a bandaid on

Rimbaud using his ability when Jouno gets overwhelmed by things like thunderstorms

Tecchou eating his silly food combos and Verlaine, assuming this is normal people diet, joining in

They’re very careful about keeping them hidden because Rimbaud is worried the Japanese government will look for them (Verlaine and Chuuya both claim they would kick their asses causing Rimbaud to roll his eyes and kiss Verlaine and Chuuya to gag)

But eventually as time goes by, they calm down a bit

So we get Verlaine, Rimbaud, and their small army of government science projects at the amusement park and doing happy family activities and things like that
