masterlistâAO3
It starts with a faulty office printer and a burnt cup of coffee.
You stare pitifully at the cup of coffee in your handâif you can even call it that anymore. Half empty and completely unsalvageable, the acrid smell lingers in the break room like some unwelcome ghost of Christmas caffeine. If only you hadnât slept through your alarm this morning, you couldâve avoided the morning rush (since it seems that nobody in Raccoon City knows how to drive through snow), and made a good cup of coffee to accompany you for the day instead of having to fight the shitty office coffee machine instead.
With a half-hearted sigh you turn the mug over and dump its contents into the bin, watching forlornly as the liquid soaks through shredded paper and old protein bar wrappers instead.
âBad morning?â One of your coworkers, Claire, quips from across the way. A perfectly fine cup of coffee sits on her desk in a mug that reads Journalists do It With Integrity!Â
You shoot her a withering glare, but before you can deliver any sort of witty remark, the printer across the room coughs out a single sheet of crumpled paper, and promptly dies.Â
âBad week,â you mutter, running a hand down your face before stalking towards the offending machine.Â
The office, already buzzing with the chaos of holiday deadlines, feels like itâs working entirely against you. The case youâve been chasingâa string of thefts tied to the Raccoon City holiday marketsâhas gone ice cold. Your editor is breathing down your neck for a feature piece that you canât write without new leads. Youâve got twelve days left, twelve days until your editor wants that final copy on her desk.
And now the printer has decided to stage a mutiny. Just your luck.
You try to print out the documents again, but when the printer does nothing but splutter, and kicking it doesnât seem to work, you decide maybe it just needs new ink.
Youâre about halfway through jamming your hand into its guts when a voice, sweet yet awkward, startles you. You hit your head on the way up, only to find yourself staring into a pair of warm blue eyes beneath a mop of golden hair.Â
Heâs wearing a leather jacket over a navy button-down, his badge clipped to his belt. He looks familiar, like someone you mightâve run into at the bullpen when youâre down at the RPD.
âUh, need a hand?â he tilts his head, same awkward smile unfaltering.
âIâve got it,â you say, though you clearly donât. The printer lets out a final, pathetic whine before dying completely. Well, now you just look stupid.
He grins, the kind of lopsided, sheepish smile that makes him look younger than he probably is. âGuess thatâs a no.â
You sigh, looking over your shoulder to catch Claire hiding a smile behind her mug. You fold your arms. âSorry, can I help you?â
âNames Leon,â He introduces himself, and it all clicks into place for you. This is the RPDâs newest rookie. The guy Claireâs been yapping your ear off about Chris yapping her ear off about. âIâm just dropping off some paperwork. But, uh⊠I overheard you talking to your editor earlier. Youâre working on the market thefts, right?â
Your eyes narrow. âAnd whatâs it to you?â
Leon raises his hands in mock surrender at your scathing tone, the picture of good-natured defensiveness. âNothing! Just thought you might want some⊠unofficial insight. Off the record, of course.â
Your skepticism doesnât waver. âWhy would a rookie like you have anything I canât get from public records?â
Leon hesitates for a moment, as if deciding how much to say. âIâve been helping out on the case. Theyâve got me running reports, talking to market vendors, stuff like that. Not exactly glamorous work, but Iâve been hearing things that donât make it into the official write-ups.â
Now youâre interested. RPD isnât exactly known for transparency, you know that much. You also know better than most that a lot can slip through the cracks of âofficialâ documentation.
âWhatâs the catch?â you ask, suspicious.
Leon shifts, âWell, uh⊠Thereâs this Christmas party at the precinct. And I might have mentioned to my coworkers that I was bringing a date.â
You blink. âYouâre blackmailing me with case information to play your fake-datw at a cop Christmas party?â
âItâs not blackmail!â Leon protests, his ears turning red. âItâs a mutually beneficial arrangement. You get your story, and I⊠avoid being the precinct punchline for another year.â
Youâre still sceptical, but the desperation in his voice softens your resolve. Saying no to him right now would be like kicking a poor puppy.
You stare at him for a moment, weighing your options. Itâs ridiculous, sure, but then again, so is everything else in your life right now.
âFine,â you say finally, sticking out your hand. âTwelve days. You give me what I need, and Iâll be the best fake date youâve ever had.â
Leon shakes your hand with a grin, relief written all over his face. âDeal.â
And just like that, the countdown begins.
On the second day of Christmas, Leon sends you flowers.
Big ones. Loud ones. The kind of bouquet youâd expect to see at a wedding reception or an apology press conference. Theyâre wrapped in glittering gold paperâPoinsettias, as Claire so graciously points out.
âLooks like someoneâs got an admirer,â she singsongs, loud enough for half the floor to hear.
Your stomach drops. There, sitting right in the middle of your disaster zone of a desk, is the offending bouquet. Itâs massive, covered in festive bells and ribbon, and the card sticking out of it reads:
âTo my Christmas angel. â L.â
You mutter a silent prayer to whatever God might be listening, snatching the card up like it might explode before anyone else might see. Your coworkers are already murmuring around you, though, so that seems like a bit of a lost cause.
Claire leans back in her chair, still grinning. âSo when were you gonna tell me youâre dating someone?â
âFirstly, that is none of your business,â you snap, grabbing the entire bouquet in a desperate attempt to get it out of sight. The glitter gets everywhere, including your coat, your desk, and, somehow, your coffee. âAnd secondlyââ You start, but backtrack when you remember that the deal you struck with Leon may require some confidentiality. Damn you for not figuring out boundaries sooner. ââthat is also none of your business.â
You turn on your heel and you donât stop moving until youâre outside the building, your fingers already dialing a number you swore to yourself you wouldnât use unless absolutely necessary.
Leon picks up on the third ring. âHey! Whatâs up?â
âDonât you âwhatâs upâ me,â you hiss, pacing in the cold December air. âWhat the hell were you thinking sending me flowers? To my office?â
Leon hesitates for a second, and you can almost hear him cringing through the phone. âUh, I thought itâd make things more⊠believable?â
You stop in your tracks. âBelievable?â
âYeah! You know, if people saw that youâre, like, dating someone, it might help sell the whole⊠thing.â His voice trails off, and thereâs a pause before he adds, quieter, âWas it too much?â
âToo much?â you echo, your own voice rising in disbelief. âItâs not even lunchtime and Iâve already been asked twice if Iâm engaged. At least take me to dinner first!â
Thereâs a beat of silence on his end before he says, âOkay. Letâs do it.â
You stop in your tracks. âDo what?â
âDinner,â Leon says, like itâs obvious. âTomorrow. You said I should take you to dinner, so⊠Iâll take you to dinner.â
You blink, your annoyance faltering for a second, only to give way to mild confusion. âAre you asking me out, or are you making this part of the deal?â
âCanât it be both?âÂ
Youâre not sure if itâs the cold or the sheer absurdity of the situation that makes you smile, but you sigh and say, âFine. Dinner. But youâre picking the place, and it better not be one of those sad 24-hour diners cops hang out in.â
Leon laughs, the sound warm enough to cut through the winter chill. âDeal.â
On the third day of Christmas, Leon takes you to dinner.
And yes, it is a sad diner.
Itâs the kind of place that looks like it hasnât updated its decor since the 70s, with faded garlands drooping from the light fixtures and a suspiciously sticky Rudolph figurine parked on the counter. Which is fine, in honesty. Itâs perfect for this not-date, because thatâs what this is. Not a date. Absolutely nothing about this screams romance.
Well, except maybe the crooked twig of mistletoe hanging over the entrance, but even that youâd pointedly avoided much to Leonâs amusement.
âSo, remind me what Iâm doing here,â you hum, pushing around your leftover pancakes on your plate. Leave it to Leon to convince you pancakes for dinner is an entirely acceptable meal choice.
âWell, weâre on a date,â Leon states matter-of-factly.
Across from you, he looks all too comfortable. You, on the other hand, feel like youâve just agreed to help pull Santaâs sleigh blindfolded.
âYeah, well, a dateâs pushing it, rookie,â You all but scoff, setting your fork down before meeting his gaze properly. âLook, if weâre gonna do this, we probably need to set some ground rules.â
Leon raises a brow, lips curving into a half-smile, âYouâre serious? This isnât Fight Club.â
âCanât believe you just broke the first rule of Fight Club,â you shoot back, matching his half-smile with your own self-satisfied one. âOkay, first off, who gets to know?â
âThat this is fake? No one,â Leon says all too firmly, âI donât need this blowing up in my face.â
âLikewise,â you hum. âOkay, next, how often are we gonna see each other outside of office hours? Are we really trying to sell this?â
âWell a coffee or two wouldnât hurt,â Leon suggest. âAnd, uh⊠Physical stuff?â He asks, a generous blush dusting his cheeks.
You canât hide your smile. âAfraid to hold my hand or something?â
âNo! Noâ just⊠Donât want to make this any more awkward than it has to be.â
âAlright, so no kissing unless absolutely necessary. And Iâm talking someone-shoves-us-under-mistletoe-and-starts-chanting levels of necessary.â
He lets out a laugh, soft and boyish, and you canât help but feel the corners of your mouth tug upwards.
On the Fourth Day of Christmas Leon takes you ice-skating. Well⊠Sort of.
Youâd come to pick up some paperwork about the Christmas Market case Leon had promised youâan errand you figured would be quick and painless. No mingling, no unnecessary chit-chat, and absolutely no run-ins with anyone who might make this fake-dating charade any harder than it has to be.
The first hiccup comes the second you step into the precinct. You immediately spot him, leaning against the reception desk with an easy grin, chatting with some colleagues. You only recognise one of them, from the photo sitting on Claireâs desk no-less. Chris Redfield. The woman beside him, whoâs donning a festive antler headband, looks oddly familiar as well, though you canât quite place it.
Fantastic. Just what you needed.
âLeon!â you call, keeping your tone as casual as possible. You walk briskly, plastering on a tight-lipped smile, trying your best not to look like a deer caught in the headlights and to very pointedly avoid any eye-contact with Chris.
Leon turns at the sound of your voice, his expression brightening instantly. âOh, hey! Whatâre you doing here?â
âPaperwork,â you reply, holding up the empty manila folder in your hand like itâs your golden ticket out of this situation. âYou said youâd have it ready for me?â
Before Leon can answer, the woman next to Chris perks upâitâs then you recognise her as none other than Jill Valentine. You chalk it up to the antlers making it hard to recognise her.
âPaperwork? Wait, is this who you were talking about?â She elbows Leon in the ribs, earning a flustered yelp from him.
âWhat?â you echo, narrowing your eyes. Great, so he's already started mentioning you to colleagues.
Chris leans forward, âWait, youâre Leonâs partner?â
You feel your stomach drop, the word partner ricocheting around your brain like a pinball.Â
Leon is already mid-spiral, his cheeks flushed red as he stammers out a reply. âWell, I didnât say thatâ I mean, I said some of that, but not like that!â
Jill crosses her arms, smirking. âWell, now we have to meet you! What are you two doing tonight?â
âNothing!â you and Leon blurt at the same time, a little too loudly.
Chris raises an eyebrow, exchanging a glance with Jill before grinning even wider. âPerfect. You guys should come ice skating with us tonight, most of the Precinct will be there.â
Your mouth opens, ready to reject the idea outright, but Leon beats you to it.
âThat sounds great!â he says, his voice breaking slightly on the last word. Stupid, stupid, stupid. If you could hit him over the head with this manilla folder right now, you would.
âGreat,â Jill says, clapping her hands together. âMeet us at the rink at around seven tonight.â
âWhat the hell was that?â you hiss once both Chris and Jill have had enough teasing and theyâre out of earshot.
âI panicked!â Leon whispers back, looking genuinely apologetic.
âYou just signed us up for the least romantic fake date activity imaginable.â You sigh, pinching the bridge of your nose. âYou owe me so much for this, rookie.â
âIâll buy you hot chocolate?â Leon tries, sweet boyish smile and all. You hate how you feel your resolve begin to soften already.
âYou better make it with extra marshmallows.â
He nods, his expression softening as his smile melts into something tentative yet determined. âDeal.â
Youâve decided you donât like ice skating. Chalk that up to the fact you havenât been to the rink since you were eight and using a push-along penguin to keep you upright.
âThis is fine,â you mutter under your breath, wobbling precariously as you step onto the ice. âTotally fine. Nothing humiliating about face-planting on ice.â
âYouâve got this!â Leon cheers from a few feet away, his enthusiasm wildly misplaced considering heâs not doing much better. He looks like a newborn deer, legs flailing every time he tries to take a step.
âDonât patronize me,â you hiss back, gripping the railing like your life depends on it.
Behind you, Jill glides past with all the effortless grace of an Olympic figure skater, followed closely by Chrisâwho despite a few wobblesâisnât much worse. Theyâre laughing at somethingâprobably you and Leonâbut youâre too busy trying to avoid an embarrassing collision with the ice to care.
âOkay, hereâs the plan,â Leon says, inching toward you with the kind of determination usually reserved for hostage negotiations. âYou let go of the rail, and Iâll catch you if you fall.â
He looks just about as stupid as he sounds, you decide. âThatâs assuming you donât fall first.â
He grins, cheeks ruddy from the cold. âHave a little faith, would you?â
Against your better judgment, you release your grip on the rail, immediately flailing as your skates slide out from under you.
Leon lunges to catch youâa valiant effort, trulyâwhich would be heroic if it didnât result in both of you landing in a tangled heap on the ice.
âWell, that couldâve gone better.â Leon groans, pushing himself to his knees and wincing.
âYou think?â you say, tryingâand failingâto suppress a laugh as you roll onto your side. Your knees are sore, your pride is bruised, but when you look over at Leonâcheeks flushed, smile sheepishâ it all feels a little less mortifying.
âHere,â he says, extending a hand to help you up, and thereâs something strangely endearing about the gesture. You hesitate for a moment before taking it, letting him pull you to your feet. He doesnât let go right away, steadying you as you find your balance.
âYou okay?â he asks, his voice softer now.
âYeah,â you reply, surprised to find that you actually mean it.
And somewhere between all of this chaos a group of kids barrels past, laughing as they race each other in a blur of neon jackets and mis-matched scarves. You and Leon instinctively jump out of their way, your skates sliding in all the wrong directions. You nearly crash into him again, grabbing his arm for balance as he steadies both of you.
And suddenly, youâre close. Closer than youâve been all night.
His face is just inches from yours, his breath visible in soft clouds in the frigid air. His cheeks are bitten by the cold, his boyish grin tugging at his lips, and his eyesâGod, his eyesâare the kind of blue that could rival a frosted winterâs lake.
You swallow hard, heart giving a little flutter youâd rather not think about. Brushing it off with a laugh, you take a step back, releasing his arm. âOkay, new rule: avoid the speed demons at all costs.â
âAgreed,â Leon says, but his voice a little softer now, his gaze a little firmer.
The rest of the night is chaos, as expected, and by the time you stumble off the ice, breathless and pink-cheeked, youâre smiling so wide and genuine that your cheeks hurt from it all.
On the sixth day of Christmas, Leon comes over for a very professional movie night.Â
The plan was simple enough: a low-key night to sort through leads and discuss the finer details of the article. Nothing more than that. Just two friends (are you even really friends?) mocking bad Hallmark movie tropes and terrible one-liners. Butâas fate would have itâsomewhere between the half-hearted scribbles in your notebook and the opening credits of the first movie, the evening takes a sharp left turn.
Popcorn crumbs litter the coffee table, and the air hums with laughter as you and Leon pick apart every ridiculous trope on the screen.
âNew rule,â you declare, pointing at the screen with a handful of popcorn. âNo more movies where the leads magically fall in love because of forced proximity. It's lazy writing.â
Leon raises a brow, smiling at you over his mug of cocoa. âDo you just... make up rules for everything?â
You shoot him a look, though your lips twitch in betrayal. âRules are important. They keep things from going off the rails.â
âSure they do,â he says, grinning. âBut I think you might have a thing for them. Maybe itâs your love languageâ
You toss a kernel of popcorn at him, which he catches with an annoyingly quick reflex. The movie continues, but your attention drifts, his sweet smile lingering in your thoughts longer than youâd care to admit, and all at once you want to suffocate yourself with a pillow.
By the time the credits have rolled, the conversation has veered wildly away from work and movies. You find yourself talking about everything and nothing between here and there, the space separating you both narrowing in a way that feels very not-professional. Your leg brushes against his and his hand brushes against yours.
You didnât make a new rule about that. Maybe you should have.
On the eighth day of Christmas, you finally chase down some of those leads for your article.Â
Or at least, you try to.
The holiday market is bustling with lights, laughter, and the scent of cinnamon and roasted chestnuts. Itâs picturesque enough to be a postcard: striped tents draped in garlands, vendors bundled in scarves, and the faint hum of Christmas carols floating through the crisp evening air.
Youâre here for work. This is professional business. Totally, totally.
âProfessionalâ is exactly why youâre letting Leon lead you to a vendor handing out roasted chestnuts in steaming paper cones.
You raise a brow at him. âSeriously?â
âYouâve gotta try them. Itâs tradition.â He says as if itâd be crazy to deny him.
And before you can even think about protesting, heâs already handing you a cone, the warmth seeping through your gloves as you eye the chestnutsâthen himâwarily. You pop a few in your mouth, only to find yourself pleasantly surprised.
âGood, right?â he asks, smug as anything. You scrunch your nose in response.
Next is funnel cake. Leon orders one to share, dusting himself in powdered sugar as he pulls off a piece and offers it to you.
âI couldâve got my own,â you reason, but take what he offers you anyway.
âWell that wouldnât make me a very good date.â
âFake-date,â you correct.
âUhuh,â Leon hums, but heâs not even looking at you when you glance back up at him, already dragging you towards the next stall, and the next.Â
âIâm serious!â You call after him, trying to keep up as he weaves through the crowd like heâs trained to do this. Well, he probably is.
You donât even realise how long itâs been until you're walking past empty market stalls, every other vendor packing up for the night. Leon leads you out into the street, strings of warm white lights swaying gently in the winter breeze.
Leonâs hands are stuffed into his coat pockets as the two of you walk side by side, your boots crunching softly against the thin dusting of snow on the pavement.
The streets are mostly empty now, save for a few stragglers heading home, but Leon leads you straight into the middle of the road without a second thought. You hesitate for half a second, glancing both ways like a habit.
âThereâs no one out here,â he says over his shoulder, that lazy grin curling at the corners of his mouth. âYouâre not scared of breaking the rules, are you?â
âIsnât it your job to enforce rules?â You argue, but follow after him anyway.
When you tilt your head up, you feel the breath escape your lungs all at once. âYou can actually see the stars tonight,â you murmur softly in awe, your breath clouding in the cold.
Leon doesnât say anything right away, but when you glance over, you catch him watching you instead of the sky, his gaze softer than youâre used to. He quickly looks up, clearing his throat as if he hadnât just been caught.
You donât know whatâs worse: the way his cheeks flush from something other than the cold or the fact that your stomach flutters in response.
And you donât know what to do with the quiet that stretches between you, either, the sound of your steps filling it up like placeholders. You hadnât meant for the day to linger this longâhadnât meant to still be here, walking home with him.
Leon breaks the silence first. âYou know, I thought youâd be sick of me by now.â
You glance over at him, raising an eyebrow. âOh, I am.â
He laughs then, genuine and bright. âOh thank God, Iâd hate for this to actually be enjoyable for either of us.â Sarcasm laces his words in a way that makes you laugh in kind.
Heâs grinning like heâs got all the time in the world as he turns to walk backward in front of you, and suddenly all at once this feels like something out of one of those Hallmark Christmas movies you swore to yourself youâd never recreate.Â
âYou still havenât thanked me for helping you today.â He says.
âHelping me?â you snort. âAll you did was get funnel cake powder on my coat and in my cocoa.â
âHey, I got you a quote from the candy vendor, didnât I?â he defends, arms spreading wide.
âYou mean the guy who told us about his grandmaâs cookie recipe?â
âHard-hitting stuff,â he shrugs.
You shake your head, but youâre smiling, and you hate that he notices. He spins back around to face the road ahead, walking a little slower now, like heâs dragging his feet.
âSo,â you say after a moment, picking up your pace to fall back into step with him. âWhy do you care so much about this Christmas party, anyway?â
Leon doesnât answer right away. You glance over, and the grin thatâs usually on his face has faded into something smaller, quieter.
âGuess I just⊠donât want to look like a total loser,â he says eventually, his voice low but even. âItâs been a long first year. People talk.â
You frown at that. âThey donât have anything better to do at the RPD?â
âApparently not.â He shrugs like it doesnât bother him, but you can tell it does, at least a little.
The two of you walk in silence for another block, and when you speak again, your tone is softer. âYou know, you couldâve asked someone who actually likes you to be your date.â
Leon glances over, and for some reason, his answer catches you off guard. âYeah,â he says quietly, âbut then it wouldnât have been you.â
You look away too quickly, your chest tightening in a way you canât explain. He doesnât elaborate, and you donât push him for more.
Instead, you both keep walking, the street stretching out ahead of you, the night colder and clearer than itâs been in weeks. The faint glow of your building comes into view up ahead, and for a moment, you wish it was just a little farther away.
On the tenth day of Christmas, Leon does something so absurd you briefly consider chucking himâand his ridiculous ideasâinto a snowbank.
Leon shows up at your door, determined and annoyingly cheerful, with a Christmas tree strapped to the roof of his car and a twinkle in his eye that shouldâve been your first warning. You donât have the heart to turn him away or give him a lecture about how this is breaking at least three of your fake-dating rules.
Dragging the tree up the stairs is a disaster, his optimism only barely keeping the whole endeavor from collapsing. Decorating it? Worse. Leonâs enthusiasm for tinsel is unmatched, his ornament selection downright offensive. A plastic Rudolph here, a lopsided snowman thereâitâs a full-scale disaster in red, green, and glitter.
By the end of the night, the tree looks more like a festive crime scene, fairy lights as police-tape and all, but you canât bring yourself to care. The two of you collapse as you both watch the twinkling lights. A ribbon is tangled in your hair; Leon has tinsel stuck to his sleeve. The quiet settles in like freshly fallen snow, and for a moment, you forget this isnât supposed to feel real.
You spent the eleventh night at Leonâs place. It was his idea to go over the finalities of this agreement, set your story straight in case anybody at the party asks too many questions. Make sure you're both on the same page.
But when you rocked up at his little studio apartment, it felt like heâd compensated for much more than a quick flashcard night.
Cinnamon scented candles burned and flicker, accompanied by a plate of cookies on the counter. Your half-crumpled notes quickly joined, as well as two cups of cocoa that have long-since gone cold.
âAlright, one more time, howâd we meet?â
Leon props his head up on his palm, looking like heâs had more than enough of your pointless flashcard game. âCoffee shop. You spilled hot chocolate on me, laughed, then walked away.â
âI offered to buy you a replacement!â You shoot back, hitting him atop the head with your stack of cards.
He winces dramatically, swatting our hand away. âWell I think itâs more believable if I pretend you didnât and you bicker back. Yâknow, like an old married couple or something.â
You reach for your cold cocoa to hide the way you splutter. âWoah, rookie, I only signed up for a fake-date, not a fake-wedding too.â
Leon grins, but something about him still looks oddly distant.
He kicks his feet off the barstool, takes your cup of cocoa and his to clean them away. âHave you finished your article at least?â
âNearly,â You hum, but youâre more lying through your teeth. Youâve barely worked on it despite all the extra input Leonâs given you. Something, something, a very distracting Christmas fiasco got in your way. âI should be done by the end of the week.â
âAnd what happens once itâs done?â He asks, and you know in your right mind he means what happens to you. Promotion? New story? Next assignment? But instead your mind stupidly jumps to the idea that heâs asking about the both of you. What happens to us? written between the lines in invisible ink.
âWell, I suppose I find a new story to chase.â You clear your throat, âand you?â
âGo back to handing out speeding tickets,â Leon smiles through a sigh, âand I guess we drop this whole fake-dating thing, huh?â He asks, and you refuse to let yourself believe thereâs any hope in his voice.
âDonât see a reason to keep it going,â you shrug, to which Leon simply nods.
âAnyway, donât try changing the subject on me,â you clear your throat, shuffling back through your pile of cards. âNext question: whatâs my favourite holiday tradition?â
Leon shelves the now clean and dried mugs, âstealing Christmas cookies when no oneâs looking.â He hums smugly over his shoulder.
You blink, âI never told you that.â
âDonât need to, I pay attention.â He grins, pointedly flicking his gaze to the now empty plate of cookies. But youâre still hung on his words, the casual admission throws you entirely off kilter, and it seems by the twelfth day he still has you feeling that way.
You feel entirely out of place standing in the RPD. The precinct is sparkling with every Hallmark Christmas cliche imaginableâoversized tinsel, plastic mistletoe (that youâre still doing your best to avoid), and a garishly large tree that stands off to the side, completed by a shining white angel on top.Â
Leon, of course, has dressed the part. And damn him for looking so good in a navy suit and deep red tie to match your own attire. His presence is steady when you feel out of depthâitâs funny how he does that, despite usually being the one who requires an anchor.
âAre you alright?â He asks, leaning closer to be heard over the obnoxiously loud Christmas music. His voice is low, warm, entirely too distracting.Â
âFine,â you lie with a sickly sweet smile, downing the last of your punch, âtotally fine.â
Leon doesnât buy it, and youâre starting to think heâs getting too good at reading you (which is your job, not his), but before he can press any further, your worst nightmare seems to come to fruition.
You're pulled then pushed, and before you can register whatâs even happened you're colliding with Leonâs chest.
âMistletoe,â he mutters, and when you finally lift your gaze you catch the offending sprig. Jesus Christ.
Honestly, this is your fault. You shouldâve accounted for something like this. Nothing like a good bit of rookie hazing at a work party, right? Dammit. The rest of the precinct seems to cheer and chant, and youâd foolishly thought youâd left this behaviour behind in high school.Â
God, you wish the ground would part beneath your feet and swallow you whole right nowâ
âWell, this doesnât break any of your rules, does it?â Leon asks then, and you can hear the smile in his voice, something about the way he says it makes it sound like he knows the answer.
And he does. Because if Leonâs good at one thing itâs remembering the finer details. No kissing unless absolutely necessary, youâd said. Like someone-shoves-us-under-mistletoe-and-starts-chanting levels of necessary, youâd said.
Okay, now you really want the ground to swallow you up.
Leon seems to pick up on your unease, and ever the gentleman drowns out the obnoxious chanting of his colleagues to focus on you.
âWe donât have to if you donât want to,â he offers.
You shake your head. âItâs part of the deal.â You say firmly. Youâre not going to back down now, youâre a stickler for rules, deals, and contracts. Totally not because youâve been wondering what Leonâs lips might taste like for the past five minutes. Totally.
He counts you down, which feels stupid, but does actually help quell your nerves. What doesnât help, though, is the way his hand slides to your jaw and his lips slot against yours so effortlessly. You forget the world exists, heart beating out of your chest before you let yourself melt into it, your own arms looping around his neck just before he pulls away.
Heâs got blush on his cheeks, his eyes bright, smiling widely like heâs just one the powerball. And suddenly, all at once, your brain catches up to your heart and you realise how none of this seems to feel fake anymore.
Three days later, and your article had gone live that morning. Your editor had been quick to praise it, Claire more than proud when sheâd shown up with a mini Christmas gift basket for you. But still, as the day wore on, the victory felt hollow. The article might have just been your best work, but now that the dustâor snow, ratherâhas settled, all you can think about is Leon and the strange ache left in his absence.
You glance out the window of your tiny office, the skyline glittering with holiday lights. Itâs quiet, save for the distant hum of the city and the rhythmic tapping of your pen against your desk.
âYou know, I expected a little more Christmas cheer from the person who just saved Christmas,â a familiar voice says.
You jump, spinning around in your squeaky office chair to find Leon leaning casually in your doorway. Heâs dressed down from the last time you saw him after the party, his leather jacket slung over one shoulder, but the sight of him is enough to send your heart racing.
âWhat are you doing here?â you ask, your voice caught somewhere between surprise and something softer.
âI was in the neighborhood,â he shrugs, pushing himself off the cubicle wall and stepping inside.
You raise a brow. âThe precinct is five blocks away.â
âExactly,â he says with a grin. âNeighborhood.â
You roll your eyes but canât stop the smile tugging at your lips. He steps closer still, and you feel the air shift.
âLook,â he starrs, running a hand through his hair like heâs still trying to work up the courage. âThe other night, you said that after this was over, we wouldnât have to see each other again.â
You swallow hard, your heart already knowing where this is going but your mind refusing to believe it. You remember how casually youâd thrown that out there, as if the thought hadnât stung more than you cared to admit. âYeah. I remember.â
âWell, I donât want that,â he says simply.
Your breath hitches, but he keeps on going.
âI donât want to go back to pretending this was all fake,â he continues, his voice steady but his eyes searching yours. âBecause it mightâve started that way, but it didnât end that wayânot for me.â
The words hang in the air like softly drifting snowflakes, fragile and perfect, waiting for you to catch them.
âLeonâŠâ you try, but your voice falters.
âI know,â he cuts in quickly. âI know this wasnât the plan. But plans change, right? Rules get brokenâand I know you hate that but hear me outâif thereâs one thing Iâve learned these past twelve days, itâs that maybe breaking a rule or two isnât the worst thing in the world.â
You laugh softly then despite yourself, a mix of nerves and something lighter. âYou do realize youâre ruining my perfectly crafted narrative, right? Fake dating, falling in loveâŠâ you click your tongue, âthis is all so clichĂ©.â
He grins, stepping closer until there is almost no space left between you. âThen letâs give it a good ending.â
Before you can even give what heâs said a minute of thought, his hand is on your jaw again, his lips meeting yours in a kiss thatâs unhurried and undeniably real.
When he finally pulls back, he stays close, his forehead resting against yours. âSo,â he hums, his voice soft and teasing, âhowâs that for a rewrite?â
You canât help but laugh, your chest light for the first time in days. âItâs a start.â
The city sparkles outside as you stand there, snowflakes fall, the faint hum of Christmas carols from the office speakers bleed with the quiet rhythm of his breathing. Whatever comes next, you know one thing is for sure: this story isnât over yet.

How would he solve the situation?
THANK U đ
Right babe, I love this shit, cliche's exist for a reason!
"i miss you, i'm sorry"Â
-> Sukuna x afab reader - Motocross AU, same world as "i knew the day i met you you'd be the one" (choso one shot).Â
-> CW: Sukuna is not a soft man, he never will be - BUT he's desperate for you. Yuji and Sukuna hate each other. Smut Warning [grinding, nipple sucking, hair pulling, rough sex not a lot of foreplay - quickie really] Â
-> WC: 2.4k
Masterlist | Prompt List
A/N: okay I started writing this and spiralled. I thought I would have finished this the day you sent in the request, but seeing as I got carried away it took long lol. Thank you for the request I had a lot of fun writing this! That being said idk if its the best written, but regardless I still hope you like it!Â
Guilt was a passing emotion it always would be. Every emotion was passing. Especially for Sukuna, a month ago he'd felt terrible, then miserable, now he was at the end of his rope - desperate. this is the longest he felt something for someone. The strongest he's ever felt for someone.Â
Your face flashed in his head, crumbling as your eyes filled with tears.Â
"He's lying right?" You'd asked pointing at Yuuji. The motherfucker was standing to the left leaning against the door jam, his hands tucked into his pockets, an amused look passed over his features before he schooled them back into a sneer. Sukuna's hand itched to break the kid's nose again.Â
"No."Â
That was it. There wasn't anything else to explain, there still wasn't. But there was something to say, something he had to tell you.Â
The bet was fleeting. Everything is fleeting. Especially for me. But youâŠ.Â
You weren't answering your phone. You had him blocked, and he couldn't understand. why wasn't this fucking passing and fleeting, why was the hurt and pain still they're stuck in his damned chest.Â
Why were you standing with Yuji? Your hands crossed over your chest a painfully beautiful smile spread across your face as you laughed at something that Yuji said.Â
Sukuna was leaning on his bike, his racing gear on. The black polyester stuck to him after his race. He'd beat Choso today, he should have been on a high. He hadn't just beat Choso, he'd beat everyone. Come in first place. But the elation that he'd feel for a good hour or two with a win like this was absent. It was won out by the anger and despair in his chest at having you so close but not looking at him. Not talking to him. Not touching him.Â
Ditching his helmet on his bike, he decided he'd had enough of your silent treatment, he deserved it sure. But Sukuna never really cared about what he deserved, he cared about what he wanted. And what he wanted was you, your words, your anger, your tears, your smiles, your laughs, your skin on his, your mouth on his. You. Â
He ignored everyone as he neared the group, he ignored anything they said or tried to say. He shoved passed Yuji, letting the kid stumble back into Choso, who caught his brother by the shoulder and glared at Sukuna, but didn't say anything. It probably had to do with the girl under Choso's arm. Sukuna's sister.Â
None of that mattered right now though. Because Sukuna didn't fucking care. His eyes were geared on you and his hands already grabbing at your wrists. You tugged away and swore something, said something with an indigent tone. Sukuna didn't hear anything. He pulled you, holding your body close to his as he cut a path towards the towering building that hosted the plethora of shit that had to do with Motocross, including his dressing room.Â
He shoved you into the room, locking the door behind him before charging across to you where you pushed yourself into the wall.Â
"Sukuna," You started but he cut you off. Anything you had to say didn't matter. What mattered was that you understood that he was at his wits end with you, and that his emotions were bubbling over in a flurry of anger and lack of control and patience.Â
"No." He said, just before he pressed a harsh kiss onto your lips, his mouth moving against yours coaxing you to move with him, to open your mouth to him.Â
You gripped the front of his uniform and pushed him back.Â
"Fuck you." You swore, your eyes alight with anger of your own.Â
"You can," Sukuna replied and kissed you again. Again you pushed him back, this time shoving him harder forcing him to take a step back, you slipped out from his hold.Â
Sukuna quickly spun around and grabbed you again, his arm lopping your waist, stopping you from leaving.Â
"Listen to me." He tried again, his fingers circling into your top.Â
"You're not talking. Besides I doubt you have anything to say."Â
"It was a bet." He started and you snorted. Sukuna narrowed his eyes at your reaction, he expected it but it still bothered him. He turned his head into your hair and sought out your ear, quickly pulling the lobe into his mouth and nipping at the soft skin.Â
You gasped, turned around and shoved him off of you.Â
"It was a bet, but does it matter?" He asked, letting you take a step away from him. He didn't care to sound eloquent or soft. He just had to get it out. "Does it matter if by the end everything I said was true? I fucking meant it."Â
"Why on earth would I believe you?" You asked. He didn't look away from you, his fingers flexed at his side. Everything was telling him to grab you and kiss you again. But he didn't.Â
"Why would I lie now?" Sukuna asked.Â
"Why wouldn't you?" You retaliated and turned away from him to leave. Sukuna's heart pounded in his chest as you walked out the door. He took a second but quickly followed you into the hall. His hands grabbed at you again pulling you back to him and then straight towards the wall.Â
He crowded you, pushing his face towards yours so that his forehead was resting against yours. You scowled up at him, twisting to get out of his hold.Â
"How can I prove it?" He asked, his voice filled with desperation. "Tell me. I'll do anything."Â
"Nothing."Â You answered. He let out a large breath from his nose, a deep ache settling into his chest.Â
"You're being difficult." He said, trying to keep his voice calm.Â
You snorted, "fuck off Sukuna."Â
"No." He kissed you again, you didn't kiss him back, not immediately, but he pressed into you tighter. the ridges of his body cutting into yours. Your head tilted up cradled in his hands delicately. His lips were light against yours, moving slowly asking you to move with him. Slowly you did, your hands curled around his wrists as you let him kiss you. As you kissed him back.Â
He groaned against your mouth before pulling away from you.Â
"Just listen to me." He said. You looked up at him, your eyes still showing your hesitation. "Please." The word was a breath, a soft plea.Â
Sukuna never said please. You faltered, and let him pull you back into the dressing room. He let you go, and you walked over to the small couch and sat down. He closed the door and locked it before turning to you his hands tucked into his pockets to keep from reach out to you.Â
"It was a bet, but it didn't stay a bet. You hang out with Yuji and Choso that's what prompted the bet anyway. it was hard to get you on that first date. Remember?" He paused, and you kept your eyes on him. "But it wasn't a bet when I took you on the second date, or the third or the fourth. Or when I kissed you, or when we had sex. Anything after asking you to go on that first date wasn't a bet anymore. Not to me."Â
"Were you ever going to tell me?" You asked.Â
"No."Â
"Okay." You got up again to leave. Sukuna watched you and didn't move from his spot. "I listened. Goodbye Sukuna," and you walked out. He didn't stop you thisÂ
time.Â
~
Sukuna watched you from across the room. You were talking to Megumi, your face burrowed in his phone as you giggled at whatever he showed you.Â
Sukuna was a couple of drinks in and the booze was burning in his blood. He'd said what he could and you'd still walked away. He was angry.Â
Angry that you walked away. Angry that Yuji told you. Angry he took the bet. Angry that you were laughing at something Megumi was saying, that your hand was holding his bicep.Â
Somewhere in his head Sukuna was sure he shouldn't do what he was about to do. But he was drunk. He finished what he had in his cup in two large gulps and headed across the room.Â
His hand gripped the nape of your neck as he came upon you. His eyes glared at Megumi as he pulled you into his chest.Â
"No goodbye." He muttered and began to drag you down the hall, corralling you with his body.Â
"Fuck Sukuna, you can't do this again." You argued. But he wasn't listening. He pushed you into a room and slammed the door with his foot keeping you in his hold. His free hand cradled your jaw and pulled your head towards his. His fingers dug into your cheeks as he lowered his head so that his nose was brushing yours.Â
"You listened. Thanks. I didn't. fuck your goodbye." He said and kissed you before pushing you down onto the bed. You gasped quickly rising onto your hands to sit up but he was already pushing down onto you, his body pressing you into the mattress, his hands returning to your hair, his lips back on your skin. Pulling at your jaw, your neck, your collarbone.Â
He sensed your anger but he didn't care. You were melting under him and maybe the weed you'd had earlier was helping that. He didn't care.Â
"I messed up. But I refuse to mess up more and let you go." He muttered into your skin. "You're mine. Even if you think you're not. You are."Â
You gasped again when he took your nipple into his mouth through your top. He moaned against you, his hips grinding into yours.Â
"Your nipples were taunting me across the room." He muttered around your peaked bud, "You know how much I love your tits and you wore this shirt that I got you. Am I supposed to believe that's just coincidental?" He knew it wasn't. He was asking to taunt you.Â
You ground your hips up into his finally rubbing back up into his hard-on. He groaned and the heat gathered in his spine he was consumed by you, his pull on your hair tilting your head up as he angled his hips to grind against yours.Â
You were panting already, your skin heated under his. His cock was twitching with every shaky breath you took. He watched your face. Before letting go of your hair and sitting up on his heels.Â
"Look at me." He prompted, and your eyes fluttered open, your heated gaze landed on him and for a second his heart stopped in his chest.Â
"Be angry at me, be pissed, hate me. But do not for one second think that you're not mine. That at the end of the day, you don't end up under me. That you can leave. You are mine. Do you understand?" He kept his voice low and smooth as he spoke. His hands moved on your bare torso, pushing your top up so that your breasts were bare to him.Â
"Wishful thinking." You muttered, the anger still in your words. "Just cause I'm letting myself do this with you today doesn't mean I forgive you. Or that I'm yours."Â
Sukuna smiled down at you, your hips still moving against his hard cock, your cunt rubbing at him through your clothes. Sukuna gripped a tit, rubbing at the nipple with his thumb making your body shudder under his hand.Â
"Oh babe, I think that's exactly what it means." He said and grabbed for your pants moving your legs up so that he could get them off, he took your panties with them. Once they were off he chucked them onto the floor, your legs fell open as he slotted himself between your thighs.Â
His thumb dragged through your folds, stopping at your clit and pressing onto it. Your mouth fell open and your eyes stayed glued to his. He leaned over and let his other hand caress your face his thumb trailing your lip before settling at the corner of your mouth.Â
"Fuck me." You breathed, taking his thumb into your mouth. Sukuna's chest flooded with heat as he watched your suck on his thumb. His hand left your heat and pushed at his pants taking his cock out and letting the cock head pass through your heated folds.Â
"Condom." You breathed. Sukuna bit back a scowl, you hadn't used one before but he wouldn't push it tonight. He pulled away from you sitting back again as he pulled a condom from his pocket and put it on.Â
He lined himself up with you again and slowly pushed in. Your loud moan vibrated around in his head forcing him to drop his head back as he sank into you. Grabbing your hips tightly as he did.Â
Both of you said nothing as he began to rock into you, his cock stretching you with each deep and slow drag, your hands scrambled in the sheets as he gradually picked up his pace his eyes watching your tits bounce as he went at you harder and harder, until your eyes were rolled back and your breathing was stuttered with moans and whines. His name falling from your lips mixed with curses and pleads for him to touch your clit because he wasn't letting you do it yourself.Â
He pulled out of you pulling you up into a sitting position before pulling you into his lap as he sat down against the head bored. You sank down on him again, your head rolling back as you moaned, Sukuna grabbed at your hair pulling your head back further. His mouth hot around your nipple as he pulled it back into his mouth. You rode him, grounding your hips with his pulling moans from him that meddled with yours.Â
He conceded when you begged for him to touch you, his fingers drawing slow circles on your clit. He was getting close, the oppressive heat pushing at his body driving him to fuck up into you harder. Bite at your skin more aggressively. Dig his fingers into your skin until his fingers cramped.Â
You came a second before him, your body writhing into his your hands gripping at his hair pulling. All this triggered his own release, he came in the condom with a groan. His hips still stuttered up into yours as he worked through his orgasm. You whined at the stimulation, your head resting against his, your soft moans pushing his orgasm out until he was spent and panting into your skin.Â
"You're coming back with me." He said softly leaving no room for you to argue. You closed your eyes and settled against him for a second, not able to argue anyway.Â
Send me a request!Â

KEEHO âčđč | êž°íž
The two of you decided to go to a concert, finding the right prices to your favorite artist, sure it was in the middle, but that didnât matter. Having only been dating for 3 months, and with his strict schedule at times, it was hard to find time. But when he came back to your shared apartment together, the two of you knowing about the concert and the tickets, it was something you could pass up.
The two of you decided to were matching outfits. Going out shopping a couple days before. Drinking smoothies, eating what some would consider â fair food â , sharing kisses and joking. Just enjoying time together.
âYou look beautiful.â He spoke as he looked at you, adjusting your skirt slightly, pulling it a little not down your legs. You looked back at him with a smile, checking out him as well, his toned arms, muscles flexed showing through the shirt. And he swore his body wasnât up to par. âThank you, the skirt really brings it all together donât you think?â You asked, he nodded. His toothy smile appearing as he walked to you, wrapping his arms around your waist, the cold buckle of his belt hitting your stomach.
Keeho grabbed a handful of your ass, causing you to yelp, looking at him as he pressed a slight passionate kiss to your lips, you couldnât help but to return it and kiss back. Your hands gripping onto the males shoulders.
After a couple of minutes, you pulled away as well as him so the two of you could catch your breath. âWhat was that for?â You asked, he laughed and shook his head. âJust kissing my girlfriend.â The male placed a soft smack to your ass, pulling away and taking your hand. Noticing your red face, but who wouldnât?
The male opened the car door for you as he got in, starting the car and driving to the venue where the two of you would be seeing the person in concert. During the car ride, the two of you jammed to songs, laughed and told jokes. Your love language. Even though Keeho put sung you, you enjoyed hearing his voice.
âIâm just saying, $25 for some parking is so stupid.â He said, eventually finding a parking spot as you laughed, shaking your head. âI guess itâs just a way for them to make moneyâ you shrugged, finishing the rest of your makeup, applying lipstick. âWe already paid damn near $2,000 for some tickets, what do they want from me.â He finished the sentence off with a laugh, parking and shutting off the car. Of course he had to wait for you but after, the two of you held hands, swinging them as you got into the line.
V.I.P 1.
As you waited in line, the two of you talked, him back hugging you and the two of you taking pictures of each other, asking an older lady to take photos of the both of you. It was sweet and wholesome. As well as some people recognizing Keeho, but were totally respectful about the two of your privacies.
The line started to make its way inside, swiping the tickets the two of you grabbing something to drink, perhaps for your vocal cords. Once the two of you made your way to your respected place. Your heart began to fill up with excitement. Seeing your second favorite singer in concert, or just going to concerts and places in general was just so fun.
Keeho held your hand, swaying in the crowd as the stadium began to fill up, some music videos playing before the lights turned off. You looked around and to the male. Seeing such excitement in the males eyes as it was in yours.
And when the concert started it was like a sense of bliss and euphoria. The amazing sounds of the singers voices. It all was truly amazing. You sing along, got sweaty, screamed your heart out, with the male beside you. Holding your hand so the two of you wouldnât get lost in the crowds of fans. It was all truly something. Truly perfect. Once the concert was over, the two of you made your way out of the building, a big smile on your face. âBabe..?â You mumbled as you looked at him, the male stopped in his tracks, looking at you as he hummed.
âIâm cold..â you whispered, rubbing your arms as the wind blew past you. Keeho laughed and took off your jacket. âI told you to bring a jacket.â He started and you rolled your eyes playfully. âI told you, it was either my outfit or my comfort, and I *had* to pick my outfit, itâs so nice!â You laughed and gently shoved his shoulder as he took off his jacket, allowing you to put it on. You wrapped it carefully around your arms as the jacket basically swallowed you, warming up your body in an instant.
The male softly took your hand and led you to the car, opening the door for you and getting in himself. When the two of you were ready, you both left and headed back to your shared apartment.
The two of you changed your clothes into something comfortable. Fangirling and boying about the concert as you laid comfortably on his chest and his long thin fingers rubbed shapes alongside your arm. âThank you for today babe..â you mumbled, your eyes falling heavy. He smiled and shook his head, his chest slowly rising and falling as his eyes were closed as well. âItâs no problem, Iâm glad we got to do it.â He replied. Your soft breath hitting his neck slightly as you moved your head to that area, a small kiss on his neck before you mumbled the words.
âIt was perfect.â
THEO âčđč | í
ì€
Fishing was truly not your thing. No matter how much you tried to get used to it. Especially since it was one of your boyfriendâs favorite hobbies and past times. You still werenât thrilled with the idea of going, but you wanted to at least experience it with him. Once. At least.
âI promise, itâs not as gross as you think!â He said excitedly. You nodded and smiled, looking at him. Doing things he loved always excited him, especially since you two always did things you liked.
âDo I have to touch the worms?â You asked. âNot unless you want toâ he smiled and parked at a place. âWe have to walk down from hereâ the male said as you nodded. Once the car was turned off, the both of you got out as Theo grabbed everything you needed. You grabbed the poles and the two of you followed a trail down to the fishing spots. A slight place covered in bush and trees. The spot was shady so the two of you wouldnât get baked alive in the sun.
You also hauled the cooler that kept your snacks and drinks inside of it before setting the cooler down near the two chairs that Theo unfolded. It was peaceful, it was only you two so you could have some peace and this could be the perfect date for the two of you.
Sitting on the chair, you leaned back as Theo took off the lid to the worms. âI heard these always work better to catch fish, hopefully we can catch something for dinnerâ he laughed. Your eyes being glued to the lid. âI donât know.. about that. But maybeâ you laughed and leaned over.
Even though you were disgusted, you were still slightly fascinated with it. You watched as Theoâs skillful hands maneuvered his way through the dirt in the small can, wrapping the worm around the hook and tossing it into the water, leaning it on something sturdy so he could help you, who currently had your line tangled.
He laughed at you, helping you with the line. âWant to touch the worm?â The male asked as you shook your head fast. Did you really want to? Maybe. Were you going to? No. âNever, can you do it please~â you gently jumped as you looked at the slimy things, dig into the dirt, poor insects.
Theo laughed and nodded, doing the same thing for you he did for him. You stood up and picked up the pole once it was ready, tossing it into the water, using the techniques the male taught you. And some of the videos you watched on YouTube.
The rest of the fishing trip went okay, Theo attempting to throw some worms on you. You catching a fish. âLetâs put it back!â You shouted with soft eyes. âBut we can sell him, make money~â Theo pleaded as the fish flopped around in the bucket. You shook your head and pouted.
âBut he probably has a family, please.â You said, grabbing into his arm, gently tugging it before Theo gave in and let you toss the fish back into the water.
After that, every fish that Theo caught, he made sure to calculate it, take a picture and toss it back into the water after heâd look at your soft eyes. âIâm never taking you with me againâ the male joked as the both of you carried the things back to the car. Setting them in their correct places so nothing would tip over. Theo shut the trunk of the car and wrapped his arms around your waist, his eyes staring at you. âIâm glad you at least decided to come with me..â he mumbled, pressing a small kiss to your lips.
âEven though everything was gross, I had the time of my life..â you started, pressing a kiss to his lips back. âBut next time, Iâm picking the date.â
JIUNG âčđč | ì§ì
"I have nothing to wear!" You shouted, leaning your head on the closet door, puffing your cheeks. Your boyfriend, putting lotion on his body after his shower. You were currently wrapped in a towel, your hair dripping slightly as you checked around. It wasn't like you *didn't* have anything to wear. But you truthfully did need new clothes. Jiung laughed, his smile being seen even in the back of your mind.
His towel was wrapped around his waist as he looked at you. "Babe, there are so many clothes there, you can find something" he laughed. You looked at him, a slight glare. "Says the one with the best clothes" you frowned, staring at your clothes. "All of these suck.. old, old, holes, old. I have nothing!" You shouted, a slight fit being thrown by you.
Jiung hummed and sat on the edge of the bed. "How about we go shopping for you, get some food. That way we can have a nice day and you can get clothes out of it?" The male suggested as you turned around to look at him. Thinking, that wouldn't be such a bad idea. "Okay!" You shouted. He smiled and stood up, walking over to you and pressing a kiss to your lips. "Get dressed so we can go" he spoke softly and you nodded. A smile on your face.
You loved shopping, especially with Jiung. By the evident look of your outfit, you loved his clothes. His style. Truthfully everything about him. You were both now walking into a favorite store of yours. Jiung set on finding you some new clothes. The fabric of his jacket clinging to you. Picking something out he thought you might like. A black jean jacket. You looked at it and smiled. "Oh, that's cute! It would go amazing with my black skirt" you mentioned and he nodded, very well accustomed to the skirt all a little too well.
You continued looking around the store. Finding jackets, t-shirts, hats and pants to please your mind and body. Jiung was carrying the bags. Looking around the store, finding a cute and sparkly 4 leaf clover. "Oh, this is cute.." the male said with a soft smile as you looked at the clover. "It would look so good on you" you smiled, gently taking it. "I'll buy it for you" you smiled and he nodded. "Thank you" he said with a soft mumble. The two of you continued to look around the store for a while.
Finally checking out after the two of you found everything you could possibly get. Spending at least 3 months rent on clothes. You carried a few bags even though Jiung refused to let you, smiling softly. The two of you made your way to the food court in the mall, getting some food as the two of you sat down, your head resting on the males shoulder.
"Thank you for today, you're such a sweetheart" you said softly, a soft kiss being placed on your cheek. "It's okay baby, I enjoy spending the time with you, and spoiling you" the male said as you chuckled. And it was true. You were both spoiled in love and in presents.
The two of you enjoyed the rest of your food, smiling as you took a piece of his food, taking a bite. "Hey~!" He shouted slightly, chuckling before humming. Doing the same to you.
Going back to the apartment the two of you shared, going back and trying on your clothes. Jiung leaned back and watched you try on the clothes, giving small opinions, majority of them good.
You laughed as you gently grabbed one of his bucket hats, the black one. Making your way over to him as you sat in his lap, his arms instantly wrapping around your waist. You gently placed the pin into the center of the hat, putting it on the males head before placing a soft kiss on his nose and his lips. "There you go. Something lucky for my lucky boy.." you said softly.
He looked at you, his eye smile bright before he gently pulled out a small necklace. Something you must've not noticed. "And a perfect necklace for my perfect woman." He said. Your heart fluttering as you looked at him with only love. Your heart was full, and you loved it.
INTAK âčđč | ìží
You could see the frustration on your boyfriend's face. How his eyes furrowed, his fist clenched the pencil in his hand. He was currently in his home office, soft music in the background playing. He had to write a song, but for some reason he'd been staring at the paper for a while. Only a few words could be seen.
Why was he having such a hard time?
He didn't even notice you leaning on the door frame before he groaned causing a frustrated face wipe to his face, hoping to relax the tension.
You didn't know if it was a good time to go to him and try to help soothe his distraught-ness, or to wait until he noticed you. In thought, Intak had already spun his chair around. His eyes softening when he saw you, his arms gently opening as you walked to him, sitting on his lap as his hands wrapped securely around your waist to hold you there. "Sorry.. I didn't want to interrupt you.." you said softly as he shook your head, dismissing your words.
"You're fine honey, I can't even think of anything to write right now.. so I'd rather spend time with you" he spoke, looking up at you before his head laid on your chest, his breath hitting your open skin as you brought your hands up and rubbed the back of the males head. To him, the feeling of you just rubbing his head, holding him or even just hearing your voice was like 1,000 pounds being lifted off of his shoulder.
"How about, we go out and do something hon?"Â He looked at you. "I need to write.." he mumbled and you gently shook your head. "You can't think of anything right now, how about we just walk, get something to eat and maybe something will come to mind hmm?" You said, gently getting off his lap before he puffed his cheeks.
"I do-" he started but you shook your head and gave him a look. He reluctantly got up, nodding. "Okay, but let's be home before 8" he said and you nodded, running off to the room to put on something a little more appropriate than your ass cheek revealing shorts as Intak did the same. Spotting you getting ready and sliding on one of his shirts. "You're so cute." He mumbled as you laughed and shook your head.
Before the two of you knew it you were walking down the streets of Seoul, hand in hand as you looked for a restaurant to eat at, wondering what it was you both were in the mood for.
"How about fried chicken?" The male asked as you shook your head, a soft pout on your lips. "No.. we had that last night" you spoke as he nodded. "Yeah, but you can never go wrong with chicken." You wheezed the males hand. "Stop trying to get home, you are out here to look for your lyrics, look for a muse." Intak sighed, you were right. What would he do without you?
The two of you finally found your way to the restaurant you were heading to. You had already made up your mind on the food you were getting. Beef and broccoli. Yum~
Intak led you to a seat before he went up to order for the two of you as you watched him closely. He was so hard working, and hard on himself. Sometimes too hard on yourself and it made you sad. Watching him stress about lyrics. Erasing, deleting and having to take deep and long breathes just to come back and do it all over again.
Once Intak came back over, you made sure to do any and everything to take his mind off of writing. You didn't want him to stress too much. Once the food got to the both of you, you ate and chatted. Mostly about random things. Things you wanted to do. And even having drawing competitions.
"No way, I'm such a great drawer!" You shouted, puffing out your cheeks. Intak laughed as he looked at your smile, gently leaning over and cupping your cheeks. "Your smile is what gets me through the day." You blushed and cleared your throat, pushing him gently. "Mmm stop it. You're only saying that because I'm your girlfriend." You rolled your eyes playfully. The male hummed. "You're right." You gasped and he gently pulled you close as you pushed his chest and then hugged him.
This was one of the best times the two of you have had in a while. It was perfect.
After the two of you ate, you got some dessert from an ice cream truck, making your way back to your shared apartment. Your hand on his.
( time skip )
You woke up to the sounds of humming. Getting out of bed you didn't spot Intak beside you. Feeing the empty space before you headed to where the soft hums were coming from. Intak's work space. You stood by the door. "Babe..?" Softly escaping your lips as he looked at you, a bright smile on his face. "What are you doing up at..?" You stopped to look at the clock. "3 am." You stated.
He smiled and ushered you to come and sit on his lap which you gladly did, resting your head on his shoulder, the sleepiness still evident in your movements. "After our date I got inspired.." he started, a small sleepy smile creeping on your face. "And I realized, you're my muse Y/N, I write better when you inspire me. Your smile, your voice. Just everything about you." He spoke.
You sat up to face with, a big smile on your face as your eyes opened. He looked at you and smiled. "That's the most romantic thing you've said to me all month." You joked and he playfully rolled his eyes. You cupped his cheeks. "I'm glad I could help."
The male gently leaned in and kissed you, your lips connecting to his before you gently hugged him.
You closed your eyes and let the male continue to work. Not daring to move a muscle so Intak could work and you could sleep.
SOUL âčđč | ììž
You and Soul stopped by your favorite food place. "What should we get?" You asked, your head laying on his shoulder as the two of you stood in line, gently slides up whenever people would place their order.
"Potatoes.. fries" he mumbled, arms wrapped comfortably around your waist. "Fries?" "Fries." He said and you nodded. Once it was the both of your turns, you ordered a meal for the both of you. Hamburger, basket of fries and two drinks.
Once paid and given your food, the two of you headed to the car, making your way down to the Han River where they were playing music. Multiple people out enjoying their time with significant others, family, pets and even their own children. It always warmed your heart to see others having an amazing time.
Soul carried the white picnic basket that carried the food, as well as a blanket the two of you would be sitting on. After a long week of you working, Soul at practice. The two of you needed a break.
You sat down the picnic basket after taking it from him and the two of you laying the blanket out across the grass. Placing yourself onto the seat, you quickly dug the food out of the bag and set it neatly on the blanket as Soul took a seat beside you.
Gently taking out the food and evenly distributing it between the both of you, you started to eat, enjoying the scenery as you watch Soul stuff a couple of fries in his mouth before he stood up, his body grooving to the music.
"Oh? Lunch and a show?" You teased and laughed as you took a sip of the drink, watching your boyfriend groove and dance to the music. Soul laughed at you, leaning down and grabbing his burger as you stood up, grooving your body to the music that was playing. Hearing the laughter of small kids and just people having a good time in general, you truly enjoyed it.
Soul wrapped his arms around your waist and leaned in, taking his thumb and wiping some of the sauce from your lip. "Messy." He laughed and you rolled your eyes, gently getting out of his hold.
The two of you sat down, sung to some of the songs and finished the food. Enjoying the sunset before you both packed up and went back to your shared place. Your mind far from any type of problems you had. This day was a perfect day. One you could enjoy with Soul and you planned to keep it that way. It was perfect.
JONGSEOB âčđč | ìą
ì
Jongseob grabbed the coins, looking at you as he jingled the cup full with golden tokens to you. âReally, Chuck E. Cheese out of all places?â You laughed, gently ruffling his hair. He gently rolled his eyes and swatted your hands away. âI havenât been in a while, I think itâll be fun. Come on!â
You used to come to Chuck E. Cheese a lot as a kid, it was somewhat of a pretty fun memory. âOkay, what should we do first?â You asked as he looked around. Spotting the racing seats open. âLetâs race, if i win. I get to style your hair for a week and vice versa if you winâ he says and you him, going to the seats.
Jongseob entered two tokens into the slots, you both picking your characters and starting. The male tried to cheat, reaching over and attempting to tickle you, you moving your body swiftly. But it only backfired on him, causing him to become in 5th place. âYeah pay attentionâ you shouted, laughing as you continued to drive, moving slightly to the side.
The game finished and you came in first place. Gasping and laughing as you looked over at the sulking boy. âYou will be okay~â you laughed, pressing a soft kiss to his cheek. âFine, but nothing too crazy, I donât want the guys picking on me~â he groaned and you nodded, agreeing to keep it at a minimum⊠maybe.
The two of you decided on another game. Basketball. Though Jongseob had a bit more of an advantage in height. The two of you continued to shoot the balls, taking your chance in attempting to distract him, but it didnât work. Hun still beating you by 20 points.
âHa-! You thoughtâ he laughed and you rolled your eyes, shaking your head as he leaned down and collected the tickets.
You rolled your eyes as you grabbed his tickets, keeping them in the small purse you were carrying.
You and Jongseob played a few more games; ski ball, ticket collector, fishing, weasels hitting games. All in attempt for a big stuffed animal on the top hanging on the ceiling. âWe have to get itâ you would say each time your eyes glanced at it. Jongseob agreeing. âWe can just put it in the middle of the bedâ he smiled, and you agreed.
At the end, the two of you collected around 2,000 tickets. Being able to buy the capybara stuffed animal and a small stick of bubbles. Though you didnât care for the bubbles too much as you clung to the stuffed animal. Once you got in the car, you tossed the capybara stuffed animal in the backseat gently. Jongseob smiled as the two of you talked about the date over the small sound of music in the background. Your head beating softly from the small headache you had.
But none the less, today was an amazing day.

omg yes remus x shy!anxious reader âŒïž heâs definitely really supportive when it comes to your anxiety and doesnât make you feel bad or embarrassed about it. Iâm imagining being anxious about a doctors or dentists appointment (they are so nerve wracking 4 me đ) and remus promises to come along and do lots of the talking. and he buys you a treat afterwards <3
Omg omg the doctors??? ESPECIALLY OPTOMETRISTS???!?? I HATE making appointments with them! Remus x shy!anxious!reader
Your phone rings again and you shriek, tossing it to the space beside you. Remus looks up from his laptop with a raised eyebrow.
âEverything okay, dove?â You frown, shaking your head as you point to your phone.
âItâs the optometrists again,â you explain quietly and Remus nods.
Youâd been avoiding them for the last couple of months. Youâre due for your annual eye exam- to check that your eyes havenât gotten worse and that you donât need new lenses- but they keep insisting and itâs making you scared to even make the appointment.
Remus knows this and pats your thigh lovingly. âWant me to speak to them?â He shuts the top of his laptop, reaching a hand to rub at his eyes.
Heâs been working for the last couple of hours on his book, and you feel bad to ask him but you nod regardless- knowing itâs important.
âPlease? Iâm free next week if they have a time slot.â You kiss Remusâ cheek, twisting your fingers as he takes your phone and redials the number.
âHello, sorry about missing the call,â his voice is even and cool and you envy his ease at communicating to the doctors on the phone.
If it were you, youâd have been pacing the floor with a pen jammed between your teeth and a little notebook under your arm. Moving from pacing to sitting and taking notes to pacing again.
Youâd probably also be tugging your hair and rapping at your temple as you think of what to say next and force your brain to pay as much attention to the conversation as possible.
Remus spends the entirety of the conversation stroking the arch in your foot and speaking evenly. He also manages hanging up the phone with a polite, âCheers, have a good âne.â
He pulls you into his lap, hands rubbing the length of your arms. âItâs for the seventh at one in the afternoon, and Iâm free then too so Iâll come with; yeah?â
You nod, mumbling a, âYeah, thanks Remmy.â
Youâre still a little tightly wound and Remus coos, âPoor girl, promise they wonât be as long as last time.â He kisses the crown of your head as you grumble- most definitely an expletive or two that makes hums smile.

âââââââââââââââââââââââââââ-
For as long as you can remember, you knew you didnât feel right with who you were. You wore the dresses, the skirts, joined the girls line when you were split off and you were ok with it, but it never felt right. You wanted to get your hands dirty, skin your knee, and you could do all of that with the girls, but you wanted to do it with the boys.
Your parents seemed to acknowledge this and your family just labeled you a tomboy. It wasnât until your last year of middle school that you realized who you were, what you were. You were a boy, you were trans.
After going back and forth with yourself, you go to your parents with tears streaming down your face. With the way you and your parents were raised, it didnât seem like they were going to be accepting.
âAre you done blubbering?â Your mom had asked you, which made you cry even more because you didnât know if that could be good or bad. âWe knew this could be a possibility with you just wanting to be with little boys.â
âJust because your grandparents have a skewed perspective on gender doesnât mean we do.â Your dad joined in with a hand on your shoulder.
And with that started your transition journey. First with therapy, then doctor visits, and finally testosterone. When you started taking testosterone (end of sophomore year), you and your parents moved to give you a fresh start. With their careers, they could work anywhere as long as they could travel.
Plainview was just that, plain, but it got the job done so you can lay low. You couldnât even point it out on a map, but it seemed like a great place to get a fresh start. Family homes, mom and pop shops, and maybe 6 schools around. No one knows you, seeing as you moved almost cross-country, so perfect.
Your first day wasnât anything like you imagined. You thought you would be clocked immediately, especially since in the rush to move and get enrolled in school you had forgotten to get your haircut. You lucked out though, because the only reason someone (besides a teacher) came to talk to you was because of your Pearl Jam shirt.
That was the day you met Rodrick Heffley, resident âbad boyâ with a band that wasnât shit (you could say that seeing as you were in it) and a taste for rock and metal. Thatâs who came to talk about your shirt.
âYou listen to Pearl Jam?â He asked, and you were immediately on the defense.
You knew you didnât exactly look the part of emo metalhead, you had heard it your whole life growing up. âListen to your normal music,â was a common one, and you wonât lie, it hurt. Especially from the popular white kids because it was just another tally mark against you.
âYes? What about it?â You snapped.
âWoah, didnât know I touched a nerve,â his face had reddened a little, but besides that it didn't change. âI was just gonna ask your favorite song.â
âWhatever,â you rolled your eyes. âI like Why Go from the Ten album.â
âCool, cool, thatâs a good one.â And then you both just stood there staring at each other. âDo you want to come over to my house after school?â
âI donât even know you, kid,â you chuckled, âwhat are you, a kindergartener?â
âWell excuse me for trying to be nice.â He rolled his eyes. âIâm Rodrick.â
He held out his hand, which you hesitantly shook. âIâm (Y/N).â
âSo are you coming over or what?â
And just like that he became one of the most important people in your lifeâ along with his best friends; Drew, Ward, Chris, and Ben. Present day, you are never without Rodrick, and he, you. It doesnât take a lot to convince the other to do something you probably shouldnât, which leads to you guys getting in trouble a lot.
Like how one time towards the end of junior year in the middle of the night, Rodrick and you snuck out for a carnival almost 2 hours away. You had been relaxing at home, reading, when you heard little tinks coming from your window. You knew it was Rodrick throwing rocks at your window. He always did that when heâd sneak out of his house to come to yours.
âWhat the hell do you want?â You jokingly whisper-yelled as you opened your window.
âCome to a fair with me!â He whispered back.
âLast time I checked, the summer fair didnât come until after school ended?â
âBecause itâs not the one in Plainview, itâs the one in Huntington! Just come on!â He groans.
âFirst of all, Iâm in pajamas!â You motioned up and down yourself. âSecond of all, thatâs almost two hours away!â
âSo what, youâve snuck out with me before! What makes this time any different? Come on, (Y/N), live a little!â
âFuck it, fine!â and you closed your window to change. Your parents were long gone asleep, so you doubt theyâd check on you, meaning you were in the clear.
You settled on baggy pants and a short sleeve, which is what you almost always wear, before you jumped out your window (you were on the second floor, yea, but your house wasnât that big so it wasnât a huge jump). Rodrick was waiting in his van, so you climbed into the passenger seat and set off.
You took a mini nap on the way, but after you woke up, you guys didn't shut up. From school to new albums, you talked about it all. You guys always were like this, (still were) even though at this point youâd only known each other a couple months. It scared you a little, how close you two had gotten in such a little period of time, mainly because you donât want him to drop you because of who you were before.
âWeâre here!â He pulled into a parking spot. You both climbed out of the van and met in front of it. âYou brought your wallet, right?â
âHanging with you? Of course not.â You deadpanned, before pulling out your wallet with a smile. âWhy would I go to a fair without my wallet?â
He just rolled his eyes, slung his arm around your neck and walked to the ticket booth. Once in the fair, you guys set a plan to leave around 2:00 so you can get back in time for school.
You run around together, ride to ride, concession stand every chance you can get, and then barfing into a trash can. âI will never sneak out with you again.â
âSure, ok,â Rodrick scoffed. âCome on, I want to ride the ferris wheel before going home!â
âSure,â you rolled your eyes as you wiped your mouth, âjust let me finish tossing my organs into this dumpster.â
âLet's go, smart ass.â
Surprisingly, there wasnât a long line for the wheel. Youâre on it in 5 minutes, and at the top in another 5.
âTold you it was worth it.â Rodrick teased as you looked out to the neon fair lights.
âYea, yea, whatever,â you mumbled, too busy looking out at the eye widening view.
Thereâs a moment of silence. âYâknow, Iâm glad we met each other.â
âEw, donât get all sentimental on me. Especially on a ferris wheel, that's just cringey.â You joke.
âIâm being serious!â He sighs. âLike I love the band, but I think me and you got closer in the span of a few months than me and them since middle school. Itâs crazy.â
âYea, sure, ok, dude,â you look back out to the lights. You couldnât look him in the eyes because you had this warm feeling in your gut that you couldnât place.
Rodrick doesnât allow you to, though, as he grabs your face in one hand to make you look at him. âWhat the hell are you doing?â
âI want you to say it,â he stares into your eyes, seeming to search for something.
âSay what, jackass?â You feel your face catch on fire in the dark of the night.
âThat Iâm your best friend.â He looks so serious, and his eyes never leave yours.
âYouâre my best friend,â you roll your eyes with a grin, âcan you let me go now?â
âWeâll work on it.â He pats the side of your face and then faces the lights outside the wheel.
When you're both off the ferris wheel, youâre headed back home. The car ride home was silent, you in your own head and Rodrick seemed tired. You offered for him to stay over and sleep until school starts, but he declines, knowing his parents will wake him up in the morning.
You pull up to your house but just sit there for a second. âIt was a bunch of fun, as always. Til we sneak out again.â
âSee ya,â he smiles and lightly punches your shoulder.
âSee ya, dude,â and you head to your house.
When you see him pull off, you lightly close your front door. As you turn around, your soul leaves your body.
âI donât even want to know,â your mom holds her hand up to silence you. âPhone, now.â
You sigh, but do it.
It seemed thatâs what happened with Rodrick, too, so for the rest of the school year you and Rodrick could only contact each other at school. He still snuck over, that wasn't going to stop.
You donât regret leaving with him that night, because you had never had someone willingly be that close to you.
â
Currently, youâre all huddled up in the hot attic that is his room, but it was the only place without younger kids so you donât complain much.
âDude, I thought this year was gonna be it!â Rodrick complains as he lays upside down on his bed.
âOh, itâs gonna be it, alright,â Ben rolls his eyes and throws a paper ball in Rodricks direction. âItâs going to be the year I finally strangle you if you mention Heather Hills one more time.â We all chuckle at how true it was.
Right now, he wouldnât shut the fuck up about Heather Hills. Even though you had come in the middle of junior year, it was quick knowledge that he had a crush on her since middle school. At first it was cute, but after some unforeseen circumstances, you actually hated hearing her name. It wasnât like you had a crush on him (It was), but the fact that she didnât give him the time of day, and even when she did it was just to make fun of him or to have him do something.
âI second that, itâs fucking annoying,â you push him off the bed, seeing as you were on it right next to him.
âOw, you dick!â he sits up and rubs his head.
âWeâre, like, four months from graduating, if she wanted you, she wouldâve said it.â
âYea but-â Ward cuts him off.
âBut nothing, bro, she donât want your ass.â
Itâs what youâve been telling him this whole time, but you didnât want to be too pressed about it because you didnât want him to think you like her. You didnât like her, you liked the one who liked her. You hadnât realized it until you saw Heather sweetening him up one time and it hurt to watchâ and not in a disgusted way.
You had no idea about your sexuality, you knew you liked boys even before you transitioned, but as you became more comfortable with yourself girls werenât so bad either. You had been on a few dates with mostly girls (there werenât many out guys in a small town, who knew?), but no one was Rodrick.
âI mean, I know, subconsciously,â he points to his head, âbut she has this way of being in your head, no matter how mean she is.â
âBlah blah blah, bruh we donât caaaarreee!â You roll your eyes and fall back on his bed. âSheâs probably going to, like, Harvard or some shit and gonna marry rich. She doesnât have time for loser guys like ourselves unless we can do something for her. Itâs been that way since middle school, and itâll be that way til the end of timeâ
âMajor harsh, dude,â Drew pipes up.
âWhatever,â You get up and grab your backpack. âIâm going home, see you bozos tomorrow.â
You know why it bothers you so much, but you didnât think you went that far. Hell, even Ward said something, but you were the one who was being âmajor harshâ? You roll your eyes as you stomp off to your house.
âMajor harsh, my ass,â you murmur to yourself.
â
Tomorrow comes faster than youâd like. It wasnât like you blew up on the guys, but you were pissed that you had been shut down. You kind of wanted to avoid them and go straight to class, but when you exit your house you see Rodricks van. The ride to school was pretty quiet except for the âgood morning,â you all exchanged amongst yourselves.
âYou were right,â Rodrick nudges you. When you give him a confused look, he goes on, âHeather is never gonna want me, and Iâm taking myself off the market for other babes.â
âOh, all those poor girls, saved,â you chuckle. Now you kind of feel bad, âbut seriously, my bad if I went too far with what I was saying. I donât have an excuse for what I said, but I am sorry.â
âNah, I needed that good kick in the ass so I could wake up. Thanks, bro.â He playfully punches your shoulder.
âNo problem, bro.â
As we pull up to school, you see Heather and her friends around their red convertible bug. You didnât know whose it was, it was passed around more than a blunt in your group. Every morning they were there, and every morning Rodrick went to talk to them, talk to her, like clockwork.
âSo are we skipping today, boys?â Rodrick suggests.
In a unison of âHell Yeaâs, you were the voice of reason. âFuck no.â
They all groan, as they usually do when youâre right. Weâre walking away from the van as you explain, âYâall donât have enough brain cells or credits to afford to skip. If yall want to blow this place, ya gotta graduate. You donât even have to have honors.â
âWhatever, nerd,â Rodrick shoves you with a chuckle. âYou can be a suck up and stay all day, but weâre outta here.â
âYou can suck up on my balls, jackass,â you laugh and shove him back.
âYouâd love that, wouldnât you?â he shoves back.
âYouâd love that!â but you donât push him, you look in front of you.
You expected to see the red car, but you saw the stairs. You had passed the car?
You look behind you, and you still see the group talking about someone cheating on someoneâs boyfriend, but you notice Heather Hills looking at you.
This wasnât the first time Rodrick had ignored Heather for you, but that was at lunch. He always talked to her in the morning. You donât know why, but you knew that this was her last straw.
When you had first moved here, you werenât on her radar until you had talked to him. She was just standing off to the side and you didnât realize it then, but he was just talking to her and stopped to talk to you. You could feel her glare, but when you looked at her she gave you a sugary sweet smile. That wasnât the last time you would see that fake smile, but after this morning you knew it would be.
â
âI donât know what you told him, but you need to untell him.â
The voice wasnât unfamiliar to you, but you werenât used to it being directed at you.
âHi, Heather, how are you on this beautiful day?â You smile at her, though it was probably closer to a grimace.
âCut the shit, you heard me.â She growls as you put your stuff in your locker.
âWhy does it have to be me saying anything to him? Maybe he actually grew some balls and a brain.â
âYouâre like a lost puppy around him, of course you said something.â
âWell, Heather,â you huff as you drop your bag and face her, âhe used to follow you around like a lost puppy and I got sick of it because you were using him. I donât know why it bothered me so much, but it did, so I told him that.â
âI know why,â she leans closer to your face with a whisper. âItâs because youâre a gay little bitch who hopes he looks in your direction but he wouldnât even spit near you. I see how you look at him, but just remember he looks at me like that.â
âOk,â you roll your eyes. âWhy do you care so much? You admitted several times that you donât like him.â
âHe needs to like me, not the other way around. It gives other guys the idea that they can be with me and I can get gifts out of it. So if you donât fix this, I can get so much dirt on you itâd make your head spin.â
âI think the bleach fumes are finally getting to your brain,â you scoff, trying not to seem nervous. You didnât think that she could get to your secret, but that bitch has power in high places. But you had come so far without being outed, so you didnât think itâd happen this close to your escape. âI donât know what to tell you. Iâm not gonna do that because youâre a bitch who doesnât deserve any attention.â
She slams your locker in your face, âYouâll regret that.â And as she walks away you roll your eyes and mumble a âbitchâ.
She doesnât even want him, but I canât have him? Whatever, bitch.
â
You decided to keep your little interaction from Rodrick and the gang because you knew itâd open up a) what she could find on you and b) did Heather actually like Rodrick and sheâs lying? You just let them lead the conversation as you try to rationalize with yourself.
How would she find out your trans? Youâve been stealth for a year and your school medical records are locked up tight. She canât out anything but you being gay and even that was a little chest tightening. At least youâll still be a man, even if it was a gay one. Being outed as trans could shatter peopleâs perception of you and youâll be that weird âgirlâ again.
âWhat are you thinking so hard about?â Rodrick asks you and you realize youâre the only two in the van now.
âNothing, just exhausted. I need to be asleep right now,â you pretend to rub your eyes.
âWhatever you say, dude,â he sighs, but puts his hand on your shoulder and looks you in the eyes. âIâm here whenever you wanna talk, you seem to have a lot on your mind.â
It makes you freeze. Itâs not like he isnât always like this, heâs your best friend, but it doesnât help after your conversation with Heather. He does this with every guy in the group, he may put on a front of being a dick to his brother, Greg, but he really cares for his friends. You have to convince yourself that this was just that, nothing more.
âEyes on the road, weirdo,â you shrug his arm off with a nervous laugh. âI told you I was fine, Iâm just tired.â
âOk, dude,â he rolls his eyes.
Before you know it, he drops the rest of the guys off at their houses. Youâre usually the last one to get dropped off since more often than not youâre the first one to be picked up. But when Rodrick passes your house, you have more than a few questions.
âWhere the hell are you taking me?â You sigh.
âObviously you wonât tell me whatâs actually wrong, so weâre going to hang out til that frown turns upside down!â He smiles as he passes his house, too.
âHow did I become friends with such a cornball? Arenât you supposed to be the resident bad boy, go back to that.â
âYou know you love me,â he smirks.
More than you know, thatâs the reason Iâm in this mess! You almost say, but stick with, âSure, whatever you say.â
You know exactly what heâs going to do, you guys do it every time one of yâall are going through it. Head to the gas station to get slushies and snacks, then go out to your favorite clearing in the woods. He even does it with Greg sometimes, even though he likes to act like he hates his younger brothers.
âIsnât the point of a slushy to mix all of the flavors together?â Rodrick rolls his eyes.
âWe have this conversation every time we come here, I get two flavors that compliment each other! All of those flavors confuse your mouth and you lose taste buds.â
âYou lie just like my mother, which means you lie like shit.â And for that you slap his shoulder. âOW!â
âDonât talk about Susan like that!â You say, jokingly offended. You go to hit him again, but he grabs your hand.
âYouâre a fucking nut case.â
âOMG!â You hear an all too familiar voice excitedly yelp. âI thought I heard your voice!â
âOh, hey Heather.â Rodick turns to talk to her, forgetting to let go of your hand. âWhat are you doing in here?â
âMy friends wanted to stop in here to get some junk.â She waves her hand behind her and rolls her eyes. âI obviously donât eat stuff like that, I mean, look at me.â Rodrick doesnât even glance down when she motions at herself.
âGood for you, me and (Y/N) are actually in here for some snacks, too.â
She finally looks at you, and then at you and Rodricks combined hands. You squirm under her stare and take your hand out of Rodricks. He looks at you in seeming confusion, but doesnât say anything.
âI didnât see you there, hey (Y/N)!â She has a smile on her face, but you can see in her eyes the amount of hatred she has for you.
âHey, HeatherâŠâ You almost whisper, and then turn to seem busy with your slushy.
âWell, we should get out of here, bye Heather.â
âOh, yeah, I think my friends went back to the car, so I should head out, too.â She turns to leave, but looks back over her shoulder and waves seductively. âBye, Rodrick!â
When you hear the front door bell ring, you finally release the breath you had been holding in. âHoly shit,â you whisper to yourself.
âWhat was that?â Rodrick turns to you with a smile and points behind him. âSheâs never willingly came up to me unless she needs something. And she just wantedâŠconversation?â
âYour guess is as good as mine,â You paint on a smirk even though your heart is racing. She had seen you with Rodrick, holding hands (completely his fault!), and he couldnât be any less interested in her! You just know your fate is sealed.
âWell, letâs get this shit paid for and go.â He grabs up your food and you grab the slushies.
With everything paid for, you guys hop back into the van and head into the trail a few blocks down. It wasnât anything official, but you hadnât gotten in trouble for being out here, so yall just kept going.
You park the van and head into the back, opening the doors for some fresh air.
âSo are you ready to tell me whatâs up?â Rodrick asks after a few sips of his slushy abomination.
âI told you that Iâm just exhausted.â You keep up your front.
âAnd I told you that you lie like my mom,â he sighs. âSo you might as well just spill it.â
âItâs just something that me and my family have to deal with, you donât have to worry about it!â You know if you bring your family into it, heâll stop pushing it because he knows your parents donât play.
âOk, ok, Iâll let it go.â He raises his hand in defense.
You donât respond, and you guys are submerged into silence once again. You exchange looks when you donât think the other is looking, but besides that you take in the forest around you.
Heather could never experience these moments with Rodrick and understand how precious it is. Rodrick has always been the weird âbad boyâ (people literally only say this because of his clothes and that makes you roll your eyes) who some of the girls wanted but if it got out they did like him, theyâd be made fun of. You see how some of the girls look at him when he isnât looking, and it hurts your heart. You know they have more of a chance than you ever would.
But with you, he was never like this. He was the goofy, caring friend whoâd drop everything if you said the word. Heather only sees him as an object that gives her affection, but you see him as he truly is; a guy who loves and just wants it back. He just wants to be seen.
âYâknow youâre my best friend, right?â You blurt before you can think about it.
âOnly took you a year to be genuine about it,â he nudges your shoulder.
âWhat?â
âThe ferris wheel.â He states like youâre just supposed to know. And you do.
âYou still remember that?â You gape.
âAnyway, yes I am your best friend, just like how youâre mine.â He grins at you, and then he drops it, âyouâre not planning anything are you?â
âOh my god, a guy canât express his appreciation for his best friend?â You throw your hands up.
âIâm watching you,â he squints his eyes and points at you.
You get a text from your mom wondering where you are, and thatâs the end of your little outing with Rodrick.
When he drops you home, Heather is the furthest thing from your mind, even though you know holding Rodricks hand (even though it wasnât even purposely!) would be a slight against you.
â
Over the next two weeks, Heather's empty threat went to the back burner of your mind. If she wanted to out you, it wouldâve happened by now. Iâm safe, you sighed in relief.
Rodrick continued not to go up to her in the morning, but if she talked to him he definitely talked back. It seemed to calm her attitude toward you now, but it still was a hot seat around her. Like now, sheâs passing around flyers for her party this weekend and intentionally passed by you.
âRodrick, youâre definitely coming to my party this weekend, right?â She bats her eyelashes. âI need your band Soiled Diper to play!â
âItâs Löded Diper,â you correct and she glares at you, âand when have you ever wanted us to play anywhere near you?â
âUs?â She scoffs at you. âI just want the main band, not some wannabe.â
âWoah,â Rodrick stops her. â(Y/N) is an actual part of the band, so no him, no band.â
âHim? If thatâs what you wanna say, sure.â And to the untrained ear it could just be her upset that he isnât going along to exclude you, but you know what she means. As you perk up and look in her eyes, sheâs already looking at you with a knowing smirk.
She knows. FUCK how does she know?
âIâm fine with not going, Rod,â you try to sway him. This cannot be fucking happening.
âNo, itâs either all of us or none of us.â
Of course now he wants to be a fucking hero right now. He doesnât get that this is social suicide FOR ME! Social homicide? Not important right now.
âOk,â she has that sugary sweet fake smile. âDonât come, then. Remember what I said.â
That last part was for you, you know it, and your blood runs cold. Fuck.
The rest of the day youâre on the edge of your seat, thinking what she might do. How the fuck did she even find out? You werenât on social media much pre-transition, so barely any photos of you before exist. And like you said, your medical records were locked up tight.
Whatever, you try to convince yourself. She wonât do anything! She wouldâve already.
You make it home with no one running around talking about your biggest secret, so your anxiety has allowed you to breathe again.
You decide to finally talk to your mom about this because who else will understand?
âYouâre right to be afraid, but youâre also right about her doing it when she finally found something on you.â Your mom rubs your hair as you lay in her lap.
âItâs like I canât get into her mind and I seriously want to. Like what is she planning?â Your thoughts literally wonât shut up. You havenât had to worry about stuff like this for close to 2 years, and now its like your whole world is about to collapse
âFor her sake, I hope nothing because Iâm not above beating a little girl's ass!â And you know sheâs being for real. Your mom doesnât play around.
âMom,â you roll your eyes.
âSo, she thinks you like RodrickâŠWhatâs up with that?â
âYou know the answer if youâre asking,â you sigh.
âDo you want any advice on that? I say you should go for it.â Your mom shrugs.
âAbsolutely not, because if this does come out I donât want him weirded out by me being trans and gay.â You donât even know if you are gay gay, but you know itâd make you that if you ask him out.
âI think youâre safe, but if something does blow, Iâm in your corner.â She holds up her fist playfully to show it.
âThank you, Mom.â You finally felt at peace with the whole thing. You trust your mom and feel like it will all blow over.
If only you knew.
The next morning, you walk with a pep in your step. You decide to walk to school, texting Rodrick you didnât need a ride. It took a little longer to walk than drive, so you knew theyâd beat you there.
When you finally showed up, people were staring at you, but it didnât bother you much. People looked at you and the gang weirdly all the time, it just happened. It was when you finally made your way inside that all hell broke loose.
Random whispers were rampant through the hall, but when you walked by it would stop. Whatever, they were probably just talking about what you were wearing like always. You shrugged and went to find the guys.
You were right in front of them in the cafeteria and about to speak when that sugary voice stopped you, âHey, [Redacted]!â It exclaimed.
You couldâve thrown up right then and there. You whip around to face Heather, âWhat the hell did you just call me?â
âShould I tell her or are you guys going to be good friends?â
âGuys, what is she talking about?â You turn to them and the look on their faces say it all.
They Know. Everyone knows.
Ben turns his phone around and you have to will yourself to not spill your breakfast out onto the concrete. Itâs a screenshot from one of your parents' private Facebooks from two or three years ago with a title that stated your deadname.
The âgirlâ in the picture was going to homecoming, and it was obvious that it was you. Your face was softer, caked with makeup, and your hair was longer. The caption had your name and said that you were indeed going to homecoming.
âThis picture was private, how the fuck?â You were whispering to yourself. Youâre frozen in place, you canât look anywhere but Benâs phone.
âHow could you hide this from your friends?â Heather fake gasps. âPretending to be a boy? Going into the boys bathroom and locker room? What a freak!â and her whole group laughs. When you didnât respond, she kept going, âLike, can you guys believe it? Sheâs pretending to be a boy to get close to you, and I even heard she had a little crush on one of you!â
That made you bark out a sob. Holy shit holy shit holy shit holy shit holy-
âItâs crazy! Right, Rodrick?â and that snaps you out of it.
You glance at him, and he looks angry. Probably at you for lying to him. You darted away, looking for an exit because all you can think about is going home. You hear your name called after you, but you donât care.
â
âWhat the hell are you doing home? Classes literally just started.â Your mom asks as sheâs cuddled up with your dad. You donât answer her, and just run up to your room, sobbing.
âWoah, woah woah, hey!â They get up to go after you.
When you get to your room, you donât close your door knowing theyâre after you. You shut your phone down and just throw yourself onto your bed, trying to stop your tears.
âSon, whatâs wrong? What happened at school?â My dad knocks on the open door.
âHeather Hills,â you say through your pillow. Even if your dad didnât get it, your mom did.
âShe didnâtâŠâ
âShe did though, Mom!â You cry out, turning to face them. âShe outed me to the whole school! She somehow found one of your Facebooks, got into it and found an old picture of me going to homecoming, and she shared it with the whole school!â
âAre you serious?â Your dad balls up his fist.
âNot only that, but she said that I was pretending to be a guy! Said I was doing it to get close to Rodrick, basically told him I liked him, and made me seem like this big ass weirdo!â
âWe need to do something about this,â your mom says, and she sounds pissed. âThis has to be some sort of harassment!â
âYour mother is right, we need to contact the school-â
âNO, please,â you start. âWhatâs done is done, I donât want this bigger than it is!â
â(Y/N)!-â
âMom, please listen to me!â Youâre exasperated at this point. âHeather has the whole school behind her. Her parents are RICH, so if we try to do anything, itâll just make everything worse!â
âI donât give a fuck about her parents! She hurt my baby and she needs to be held accountable!â
âI donât want to be in the middle of any more drama!â You groan. âI just want to figure this out quietly and on my own. I donât want to talk to anyone about it and I just want to be left alone!â
âOk, ok,â your dad sighs and puts a hand on your head. âIf thatâs what you want, we wonât push it,â he turns to your mom, âwonât we?â
âYea, I guess,â she rolls her eyes, but gives a weak smile. âBut at any point you need any help or she does anything else, weâre in your corner.â
âThank you for understanding.â
âGet some rest, son,â your dad pats your shoulder. âYou look like you need it.â
âIâll try.â
But you knew you werenât going to be able to sleep. You avoid your phone because you didnât want to be contacted by anyone, but especially Rodrick. You didnât want to know his disgust with you, didnât want to know how much he thought that Heather was right.
Without the distraction of your phone, your room and the house was too quiet. You could hear your parents downstairs, trying not to be angry about your situation and watching television. Your mind keeps replaying you looking at Benâs phone, ears ringing in anger and worry. Youâre so horrified, afraid youâve lost all of your friends. You were supposed to graduate without anyone finding out. What was the point of a fresh start if you were just gonna have to deal with all that you wanted to avoid at your old home?
You hear someone knock on your front door, and even being that far away from it you heard Rodricks voice. This time you canât stop your stomach from lurching and you run to the bathroom.
As you flush the toilet, you hear the door close and footsteps up the stairs. That makes you pray on the bathroom floor to anything that could hear you to not make you talk to him yet.
âHey, baby, you alright?â Your momâs voice fills you with relief and seems to calm your stomach.
âNo,â you say truthfully. You didnât feel like lying right now, âI feel like everything is over for me.â
âYou heard him, didnât you?â
âNot what he said, but I heard his voice,â you admit.
âThen I think you should answer your phone.â And with that, she leads you back to your room, kisses your forehead, and goes back downstairs.
â
You donât turn your phone back on until the next day. You still felt sick, and no matter how much you tried to eat you just couldnât. You stayed home from school and your parents didnât argue, but they still had to go out for work. Not a full trip, but they had to go to the next town over.
You had less messages than you thought you would, but itâs still crazy. Drew, Ward, Chris, Ben, and even Bill messaged you, but you didnât care about all of them because one name caught your eye. Rodrick.
It was four messages; are you home??, answer me!, iâm coming over. were the first three, but the last message was a video.
It starts staring at the floor, and then itâs pointed to a group of people. You can make out you, the gang, and Heather behind you. You take off running, but the recording doesnât stop there.
âWhat the fuck is wrong with you?â Rodrick stands up and gets in Heather's face.
âWhat?â she laughs in disbelief.
âYou heard what I said!â
âAre you seriously defending her over me? I thought you liked me?!â You can hear the fakeness in her voice.
âThat was before you decided to spread lies about my friend! He has done nothing to you!â the emphasis on the âheâ makes your eyes widen. âYouâre gonna stop talking shit about my best friend to my face! Youâre such a fake bitch! I donât know how I ever liked youâŠâ
âDonât tell me youâre seriously picking her over me? You must be more homo than her to like that wannabe boy.â
âAre you fucking serious?â The rest of the guys pipe up and start to surround Heather.
âHe is a guy, and if you think anything other than it, you must be stupider than I thought,â Ben steps up.
âAnd so what if I like him? Just know I donât like you, not anymore.â Rodrick is the angriest youâve ever seen him, itâs kind of hot scary.
âWhatever, youâre all just losers. Lets go,â she turns and walks off with her crew.
Thatâs where the video ends.
You couldnât stop rewatching it in amazement. He had stood up to Heather Hills for you without hesitation. Had said he liked you to Heather Hills. To basically the entire school, if this video has already gone around.
You debate whether or not you wanted to talk to him, but your need for your best friend wins over your need to hide. You slip on your shoes and head out.
You live a little over 5 minutes away from Rodrick even though he drives you guys everywhere. You know you couldâve told him to come over to your house, but itâs nice to finally get some fresh air. Plus, his mom was always nice to see when you went over his house.
When you get there, you see his van parked in the driveway near the garage. You have to hype yourself up to knock on the front door, but once you do itâs like a wave of nausea comes crashing over you.
I canât do this, oh my god. What have I-
Before you can finish your thoughts, the door opens. You half expect it to be Rodrick, but itâs just Greg.
âHey, kid.â You do a little wave as if you havenât met him before. Whenever you come over, you tend to see Greg and Rowley, too. Most of the time theyâre just in the living room, but they sometimes come up to the attic just to get chewed out by Rodrick, especially when itâs just you two up there.
âHey, (Y/N),â he smiles, âwhereâve you been?â
âYknow.â You wring your hands. âAround.â
You can barely get words out. Does Greg know? Did Rodrick tell his family about what his best friend is?
âRodrick should be upstairs in his room.â Greg moves out of the way so you can step into the house. âHeâs been moping up there since yesterday, I donât even think heâs left it today.â
âHe didnât go to school?â Itâs not surprising, heâs always skipping, but you know itâs because of what went down yesterday.
âNope,â Greg shakes his head. âLook, I donât know what happened between you guys, because he only acts like this when he canât see you, but I think you guys will work it out. Itâs like me and Rowley, just less romantical.â
âW-what-â you sputter out. âI donât-â
âSure, whatever you want to tell yourself.â Greg cuts you off with an eye roll. âLike I said, heâs upstairs.â
âThanks, kid.â Your face is on fire.
And with that, you mount the stairs to the attic. Is your crush on Rodrick really that obvious that even his family can see it? And with the way Greg was talking it seems to be reciprocated. You heard it come out of Rodrickâs own mouth, but what if he just said that so Heather could leave you alone?
Youâre in front of his door before you can finish your thoughts. You knock, ready to get this over with.
âMom, I told you Iâll be ok, just leave me alone!â You hear him call out.
âNot your mom, last time I checked.â You say, a soft smile grows on your face from hearing his voice.
You hear him leap up off of his bed and trip over something, but it doesnât seem to phase him as he runs to open the door.
â(Y/N),â he breathes out.
âHey,â you can barely look him in the face. âCan I come in?â
âYea, yea, come in!â He pulls you through the door.
Once in his room, itâs like youâve never set foot in it. You donât know what to do, where to sit. It all feels new to you for some reason.
âDude, just sit down somewhere.â Rodrick laughs at your newfound confusion.
You decide to sit on his bed, which you do every time you come over. You and Rodrick always sit on opposite ends of the bed so you can look at each other, which this time is no different.
You just sit there, staring at each other. You decide to break the ice. âItâs true, all of it. I donât know how Heather got that picture, but I was a girl for most of my life up until now. Please, donât hate me.â
âIâm not going to lie, it made me mad that I had to find out through Heather Hills,â he sighs, âbut then again itâs none of my business. You were doing it to protect yourself, so I get it and I donât have a right to be mad. I could never hate you over something like that though.â
You just sit there with your mouth open. You knew subconsciously that he couldnât have hated you, but you had grown up hearing all the hatred people had for people like you. You had no choice to be on the defense when coming over here, no matter what you heard.
âI just-â You start. âI just, I know youâre my best friend, and I shouldâve trusted you with this, but I couldnât. Iâve never had anyone but my parents know. Their families donât even know, thatâs the whole reason we moved here.â
âWould you have ever told me?â He asks, kind of quiet.
âMaybe.â You shrug honestly. âI was too worried about trying to survive high school without a slip up to think that far ahead.â
âOh,â is all he answers.
Itâs another drowning silence. Youâve never had an awkward silence in your entire friendship, this is freaking you out.
âDid you watch the video I sent you?â Rodrick speaks up.
âYea, it was the first thing I saw when I turned my phone back on.â Another beat of silence. âIt was the only reason I came over here to talk to you.â
âDid you watch the whole thing?â
âOnly a hundred times,â you smile evilly. âI love watching that barbie wannabe get put in her place.â
âYea, that was great to do,â his voice lowers, âbut thatâs not what I was talking about.â
âI know.â You whisper and look him in the eyes.
You just sit there staring at each other, and then Rodrick looks down at your lips. It was so quick you couldâve missed it if you blinked, but you saw it. Just go for it.
âAre you going to kiss me, or just think about it?â You try to sound confident, but it ends up a quiet squeak.
His eyes widen, but he begins to inch over to you until youâre pressed up against each other. âIs this okay?â His whisper tickles your lips.
You just nod, eyes never leaving his. You donât know who leans in first, but your lips are together in a flash. Your grip on his shirt is tight, as if when you let go itâll all disappear. Your mouths almost move in unison, like youâre trying to devour the other. You can barely breath, feeling like this isnât real. You dreamed about this moment for so long and now that itâs here itâs like youâre ascending.
You are the one who pulls away first, needing to breathe. Rodrick doesnât seem like he wants to stop, kissing down your jaw to your neck. While you're breathing softly, you hear a knock at his door. That doesnât stop Rodrick though.
âRodrick,â you breath out as a warning.
âHm,â he hums indifferently. Before you both know it, his door opens.
âRodrick, you need to leave this- OH MY GOD!â His mother screams out.
âMOM!â Rodrick jumps away from you in fear and shock.
Youâre all just stuck looking at both of them staring at each other before you break the silence.
âHey, Ms. SusanâŠâ
After that you are put through a lecture with his mom and dad. You guys canât be upstairs alone without Greg being a buffer, door open at all times even with the other guys there. They, of course, texted your parents about what they found so that's gonna be fun to go home to. But you felt like none of that mattered because you got what you wanted. You didnât lose your friends, and you even gained a boyfriend.
He offers to drive you home, which you take because you want to be close to him for a little longer. So you wave goodbye to his parents and get into the van.
You hold hands on the way to your house.
â
âWeâre glad you decided to come back to school,â Rodrick squeezes your hand. âItâs been so boring.â
âFirst of all, I was gone one day,â you roll your eyes in fake annoyance. âAnd second of all, you literally didnât even go yesterday!â
âBut itâs always boring whenever I donât get to see you, baby.â He wiggles his shoulders against yours.
All the guys groan in fake disgust. âYall are so corny, break up already.â Ben gags.
âI didnât even say anything!â You throw your hands up, taking one of Rodricks hands with you.
âCringe by association.â And you roll your eyes in true annoyance.
âAre you sure youâre ready to go back?â Rodrick interrupts. âWe could just go back to your house and hang out for the day.â
âIâm sure youâd love that,â you shove his arm, âbut if I keep skipping, itâll be like she won. Plus Iâm not losing my straight A streak because of that bimbo.â
âFine,â he huffs. âI canât wait for the last day, school is so boring.â
âI thought without me it was boring?â You raise an eyebrow.
âYou know what I mean.â He kisses your cheek.
âYuck,â one of the guys laughs out behind your back.
âShut the fuck up so we can get this day over with.â You flip them off.
Youâre, of course, joking because you know you couldnât have gone through this without them. After your talk with Rodrick, you all had a group hangout and talked through all of this. They let you know the whole time that they were 100% on your side. They were your boys and you were theirs.
Maybe the rest of the year won't be hell. You got the guy, smited the girl, and even if you were outed, you had all the friends you needed with you already. You were going to be fine.

Do you have thoughts on Darry's pov about Pony getting jumped
If you guys ever want to just have a terrible night, go back and reread the way Pony describes Darry in the first chapter. Itâs actually brutal and I canât believe he let Darry read itđđ He wanted that A bad
Because I swear, yall donât need my thoughts on Darryâs pov because Pony is pretty much gifting to us, itâs just that itâs muddied by his own personal bias/narration that you miss just how much characterization Darry gets. If you take out Ponyâs internal thoughts, youâd think Darry was the tamest/most thoughtful of the bunch through actions alone, even if he comes off a little heated.
Iâm gonna go ahead and do it here anyway to show you what I mean. Weâll go in order from Darryâs first appearance to the end of the chapter, but Iâm only giving you his actions and his dialogue. Toss up a prayer now bc Darry is done FILTHYYYY
(ignore my highlights, i j started annotating lol)
Immediately weâre introduced to Darry as the person whoâs literally getting Pony back on his feet. Heâs shaking Pony by the shoulders to get him to respond because he doesnât always realize his own strength compared to Ponyâs. This is probably the relationship he has with most of the gang since heâs most likely the one working out the most consistently of them all, what with his job and gym runs.
But when Pony tells Darry to stop, itâs not like Darry glares at him and says âIâm just checking on you.â Instantly, he recognizes heâs being too rough and apologizes.
This is a few lines later, after the description of Darry and their father, but Darryâs still the only one talking at this point. I thought it was interesting that he jams his fists into his pockets, and my thoughts are that heâs physically restraining himself from Pony as to not hurt him worse, especially since heâs asking Pony how badly heâs just been hurt.
This is Darryâs reaction to Soda calling Pony an okay kid and Pony grinning in response and calling Soda crazy. Itâs the most sibling thing Iâve ever seen idk, especially when Darry just grins at Sodaâs teasing and lets it go. Itâs literally Darry being a softie in front of Pony, but it just doesnât click for Pony yet give him a minute heâll get theređ in two hundred more pages
I was pretty surprised when I went back and read the book. For some reason I misremembered Darry as being completely hypocritical whenever talking to Pony about school smarts vs street smarts, but heâs pretty much going out of his way to compliment Pony here.
And I mean, these are pretty tame bites at Pony, overall heâs being pretty lighthearted with his words. I wasnât reading this with an angry Darry in mind, just an exasperated one that wishes his brother thought about his own safety more often so Darry didnât have to do it for him.
Yâall probably remember this from the movie lmao, I love Patrick Swayzeâs portrayal of Darry, I think he nails the character completely. Darryâs so obviously not angry at Pony here, especially not when heâs laying off when Soda tells him to.
Dally is figuring out whoâs going to the Nightly Double with him, and I was surprised by Darryâs reaction. Canonically he doesnât even like movies, Pony literally said it a few pages ago, so heâs either faking his disappointment (lmao) or would have actually gone for Dally, which was wild to think about.
So this was also pretty interesting. Even when I was a kid, my parents let me go outside and play with the neighbors for hours at a time, pretty much until it got dark. Things were veryyy different in the 60s, where it was normal for parents to go to sleep with their kids out in the night and wake up with them home, weekends especially. When considering that their parents are yk, dead, Darry wanting Pony to keep his grades in check on the weekdays only and handing off the reins on the weekend is pretty cool of him imo lol
And this was just adorable
But thatâs it, the rest of the chapter is Soda and Pony talking about Darry, and then Ponyâs internal monologue about how much he doesnât need Darry and doesnât care about him, but that he knows he lying to himself :(
Their relationship is one of the single greatest things in the book and honestly, Hinton makes it clear from the beginning what Pony realizes later: that Darry never once âdidnât careâ about Pony or thought of him as a burden. Maybe heâs overbearing sometimes, but for someone who has so much pressure on him nearly all the time, he does a pretty good job with what heâs given đ€·ââïž
His biggest flaw is his inability to communicate how heâs actually feeling to Pony, who he should know by now doesnât take well to visual cues. But other than that, gold star for Darry Curtis!âïž

Alrighty! @number-one-shadisper-shipper and I binged the Knuckles series today, so time for thoughts! SPOILER ALERT.
I'll admit the show wasn't perfect. I've seen the negative reviews, and I kinda get where they come from. BUT! I did enjoy this show greatly! And I'm not here to complain. Time for some happy thoughts, y'all! đđ€©
I think you need to have a love, not just tolerance, for the SCU in order to properly enjoy this show. I do have such, so I had a lot of fun with it.
There were definitely scenes from every episode that had me either squealing, laughing, crying, or flipping out. But my favorite was likely the first episode, because come on, we saw the Wachowski family! Most of them, anyway! While I missed Tom's presence, I was grateful for that comment from Maddie about him being "out of town," so he wasn't just gone for no reason.
The SECOND it showed our three space babies hanging out together in their room?! I SCREAMED. THE BOYS!!!!
Tails sitting on his bed tinkering with one of his gizmos, Sonic rocking out to music with an air guitar, and Knuckles exercising from one of the ceiling planks. IT'S THEM!!! They're just hanging out, doing their thing, looking oh so much like brothers. And Sonic's narration at the beginning was GOLD. đ€Łđ
Even though we didn't get enough of Maddie being a parent, we definitely got a nice chunk for it only lasting part of an episode. Maddie called Knuckles "one of our kids" (that had me SCREECHING). The angry mama vibes were GOLDEN. đ€Ł The way she made breakfast for them, the "Boys, breakfast is ready!" I love the normalcy of it! Can't wait to see more in the future! (Her calling to them with "boys" is somehow just the sweetest thing and I'm melting.)
The poor mailman being like "I just wanna go home, man" đ€Ł
We were right, fellas, Knuckles had no idea what being grounded meant. đ€Ł Although the way Sonic piped up with "Oh, I definitely know what it means," has me suspecting that Sonic himself has gotten grounded a decent amount before. đ
Knuckles trying to talk back, and Maddie going, "ExCUSE ME?!" then just making those tiny, terrifying noises and Sonic being like "Bro don't mess with Mom when she's mad" (okay, he didn't say "mom" and that made me sad, but the mom vibes were 110% there so I'm here for it). đ And since Knuckles snuck out and later Wade said, several times, "Aren't you grounded?" seems to confirm that this entire show is basically what Knuckles does when he's grounded. đ€Ł Although ... his comment about not being able to be grounded because he had no home made me very sad. đ
I did not have an issue with so much Wade screentime! Sure, he isn't my favorite SCU character, but I love what this show did with him! I'd already seen his moments in the movies (like nearly shooting Robotnik in the face with an actual handgun). I like how they gave him actual family issues; a dad who abandoned him and his family, a realistic sister, a mom. Bad family memories. Awkward reunions. They could've made it a joke, but they didn't, and I greatly appreciate that. Especially since I've witnessed firsthand how painful family separations can be. đ
All the emotional talks Wade and Knuckles had caught me off guard in the best way! The way they talked about their different family issues, the way they talked of betrayal from friends, and being left alone, hit way harder than I was prepared for. Especially that talk they had at the burger place in the middle of the night? Oof. Good talk right there.
Also, even though they took a "show don't tell" take with it, I loved how Knuckles relaxed more and more throughout the show. In the beginning, he couldn't rest, he couldn't sit back and have a genuine good time. But the more he hung out with Wade and his family, the more he learned. He learned about music and found "his jam" (that was literally amazing btw). He watched movies with Mrs. Whipple and ate snacks in the hotel room in Reno and watched more movies. He had his teenager moments of rolling his eyes and rebelling, but he was so well portrayed here, I loved it. I felt for him.
Despite the bizarre nature of the episode "Flames of Disaster," (we were cracking up so hard) I'm trying to glean bits of the truth of Knuckles's story from the crazy musical play that Pachacamac put on in Wade's dream. I mean, "Longclaw" and her tribe were there, and ... what the heck was that giant demon thing?! Iblis?! Does our Knuckles Wachowski have an actual history with freaking Iblis?!?! đ±đ„
I was deeply intrigued by the two main antagonists, especially at the implication that G.U.N. did seem to exist before the events of the first movie?! Did it exist, get disbanded after the Maria incident, then get reformed?! My brain is exploding. đ€Ż I was even more shocked that they apparently died? I guess I shouldn't be surprised, the Wachowski kids don't seem to have much qualms about getting rid of the baddies for good as the game versions do. That was a terrifying phenomenon, what happened with the two rings. đ«Ł
And then the Buyer getting crushed by the giant glass ball đ
Although in those last two episodes, I admit I was freaking out and legitimately near tears at Wade's seemingly having to "betray" Knuckles. Before the reveal that all was in good communication, all I could think was how relaxed Knuckles finally seemed, chilling in the hotel room, being excited about whatever Wade wanted to "show" him, questioning whether it was a song, him declaring that he was going to bring his favorite hat, đ„č all I could think was of their previous discussions about betrayal from friends and family, and when Knuckles called Wade "my friend" right before the elevator doors closed, I just about sobbed. I was like "please, don't let him be betrayed, don't let him have come all this way and relaxed so much only to get 'betrayed' once again by someone he's come to consider a friend." đ We heaved a HUGE sigh of relief when it revealed he was aware of the trap the whole time. đȘ
Maternal instincts went nuts when he got so badly hurt in that final battle đ I literally reached for the screen several times and was right back to almost weeping đ„Č And someone tell me I wasn't the only one noticing the parallel in that scene with Wade standing in front of his unconscious body the way Tom did with Sonic in the first movie. That, PLUS Knuckles's epic comeback, and his retrieval of his own power?!?! EPIC!!!!
The ending was abrupt, sure, but the pure joy on Knuckles's face after everything as he jumped up to high five Wade was just too sweet. đ„č
So yes, even though I would have loved just a little more, a return to Green Hills, a reunion with Maddie, Sonic, and Tails, I adored this show. It was a wild ride, full of laughs, tears, excited screeching, etc. đđâ€ïž I don't care what anyone says, nothing will make me hate it.

ËÊâĄÉË midnight insomnia' - c.yj
SYNOPSIS - its the middle of the night and you have 2 problems; no.1 you cant sleep, and no.2 you miss your boyfriend. PAIRING - choi yeonjun x f!reader GENRE - fluff, established relationship WARNINGS - reader is depicted with a pink colour, reader is called âbabyâ and âgirlfriendâ, just yeonjun and y/n being really cute with eachother <3 requested from anon: hi! i dont think you've posted yet, maybe your busy or just dont know what to write about since your a new blog, but i want to put in a req.. could you do reader x yeonjun with the prompt âi canât sleep, come to my bedâ id actually die AAH im so curious what you could turn this into, thanks :}
notes: thanku sm for the req! yeah, i havent been writing yet since my brain was blank tbh i had no ideas for a fanfic in mind đđ but now youve added fuel to my fire and ill try start writing more often :3 (and yes, the 127 in the fic was on purpose)
The moon cast a soft glow through the small sliver between your curtains, painting the room in hues of silver. In the quiet of the night, you tossed and turned under your soft blanket, unable to find solace in slumber. As you battled with your insomnia, you just couldnt keep your mind off of one thing; Yeonjun. You couldnt stop thinking about the way he would hold you through these chilly early-spring nights, and how much you missed his warm body next to yours. At this point youâve realised just how starved you were from him despite only seeing him a couple of days ago.
You gave up on your slumber, rolling like a log from one side of your bed to another to pick up your phone. The sharp glow from the screen hit your eyes, your face instinctively scrunching up since you werent used to the brightness. Your fingers lazily glided over to the message app icon, and then tapped on Yeonjunâs contact. The time at the side of the screen caught your eye, and your realised it was 1:27 AM. You were a little weary of texting your boyfriend at this late hour; you knew that he was probably tired after a long day of practicing and you didnt want to seem selfish or too clingy. But you shook off your bad feelings since you knew that Yeonjun wasnt the type to be able to fall asleep easily either. You began to type your messagesâŠ
âjjunieeee..â
âbaby⊠âčïžâ
As expected, Yeonjun was of course awake. Your one word messages were opened by him a minute later. He looked at the texts, a little confused on why youâd be texting him right now. Any how, he started typing back.
ây/n? whyâre you still up. you better not be up to some weird shi đâ
âjjunie, i cant sleep. come to my bed.â
âbaby, its half 1 in the morning.â
âplease..đ i really cant sleep and i need sum1 by my side đâ
ây/n youâre going to be the death of me... but what wouldnt i do for my beautiful girlfriendâ
âill be there in 5â
âyippee! đ i love you â€ïžâ
âlove you more baby â€ïžâ
Your face lit up as your boyfriend agreed to come over. You immediately put your phone back on your side table and plugged it back into charging, then quickly tossed the dirty socks that were lying on your bedroom floor underneath your bed to appear a little tidier. After a little while, you could hear a quiet knock echo through your small apartment; your face lighting up once again. Your feet quickly brought you to your hallway, where you rummaged your drawer for your keys. Eventually finding them, you jammed the correct key into the keyhole, twisiting it and gently opening the door. As your boyfriend appears from behind the door, you immediately pull him into a hug, shutting the door behind him. âWhats up with you today?â He teases as he feels your arms lock around him tightly, wrapping his arms around your waist in response. âJust missed you baby.â You responded, taking in his soft scent which you missed badly. âY/n, we just saw eachother a few days ago..â His chuckle landed right in your ear, warm breath brushing right up against your ear. The sensation of course did not fail to make you blush a little. âYeah, but âjust a few days agoâ feels like an eternity to me.â You whisper into his shoulder, finding comfort in just burrying your face in his shoulder and hiding from the world. You feel his hands come away from your waist and up to your back, rubbing small circles. âYou really arent a patient person, are you? Now, lets get you to bed.â He whispers as he takes your hand in his and begins to lead you over to your bedroom. You obviously dont resist, and grip his hand back as you walk behind him. None of you made a sound as you walked to your bedroom. Both of your social batteries were drained from the long day youâve survived today, and all you wanted to do was to hold eachother in peace as you tried to fall back into a slumber.
You walk into your bedroom, and Yeonjun leads you straight to your bed. He lets you crawl in and under the covers as he takes off his jacket and throws it onto the chair you have by your desk. He came just wearing his pajamas, since he knew all you were going to do together was snuggle and sleep. He climbs onto your bed, arms wrapping tightly around your body as your face hides in his chest. His hand runs through your soft hair in a consoling manner, trying to get you to feel more tired and sleepy. His hands work like magic, your eyes beginning to feel heavier by the minute. But before you fall asleep, you give his hand a gentle squeeze and manage to whisper a set of three familiar words.
âI love you.â

summary: non canon compliant (more of a modern alternative universe) agatha with her wife
anon request: âCan I request an Agatha Harkness x reader fic? Agatha gently pushing Reader against the kitchen counter and slides a knee between Reader's thighs because she is too impatient to make it to the bedroomâ
warnings: sexual themes & kissing
pairing: agatha harkness x wife!reader
a/n: iâm sorry if you wanted m!reader, i just went with my gut đ my first request oh my god??? i hope it wasnât too short, i didnât have anymore ideas đ | also she would 100% wear a strap (just needed to voice that)
the sizzling sounds of a pan fills the kitchen as you began cooking dinner. a content hum erupts from your throat, and your hand holds the pan handle gently. you absentmindedly continue to cook, and you hear the jangle of keys from behind your front door. even after years of being together, you felt giddy when you heard her come home.
you abandon your cooking, making sure to turn the hob off (safety first) and you hastily make your way toward the front door, not even hiding how excited you were. as you wait on your side, you see the door handle turn and you practically leap into her arms as she comes through the front door.
she lets out a lazy chuckle, âhey, gorgeous.â she places a small kiss to your temple, before littering kisses in various other areas on your face. âmissed you. so much.â
âoh?â it was almost laughable how needy she was, but you were more than happy to comply. âbad day at work, hmm?â your eyes flit down to her lips for just a second, an action that doesnât go unnoticed.
âyeah, i honestly donât want to talk about it. can we justâ?â you nod, a small laugh following right behind. after a few more tension filled moments, your lips collide.
her hands find their way down to your waist, grazing the exposed skinâcausing a tingle to go down your spine and a small whimper to escape your lips, that is quickly silenced.
she applies a small amount of force the hands that are placed methodically on your waist, causing you to gently stumble backwards against the kitchen counter. if your tongue hadnât been jammed down her throat, you might have noticed the rather uncomfortable position you were in.
your hands quickly come up to the back of her head, needing to grip something and a shattered breath passes through her lips. her clothed knee begins to raise, and slots itself between your thighs, causing an embarrassingly loud moan to escape you.

I recently, while watching an anime, saw a scene that was SO burningcheese core that I had to tell you about it. What could wound a warriors pride more than a fight your opponent throws? That's what infuruated him in canon, after all. But what if it was a fight purposefully interrupted by a third party to ensure your opponents downfall? Picture Spice and Cheese going blow for blow, exchanging hits strong enough to make the earth split. And just when they're about to collide in the worst way yet, a Spice Commander gets the awful idea to "help" their leader. They tackle into Golden Cheese's side, grab ahold of her wrist, halting her from plunging her spear. A single second her attention is completely diverted, but it's far too much already. Burning Spice's eyes fill with an insurmountable dread in that precious second as it dawns on him he can't stop his swing's momentum. An axe that should've be parried now turns into a fatal blow. As the dust settles, and wild spices all around gawk at the golden sovereigns crippled form now cratered in the earth, the only expression the Lord of Destruction makes seems to be of horror, as even his own equal is ripped from him.
This hurts so bad, but fits so well đđđ Imagine the Spice Swarm is ecstatic and cheering, gathered around their fallen nemesis. She's been defeated! The master can reclaim his power and glory! He shall shower us all with praise for helping him!
But... no. Instead they see him fall to his knees, axe slipping from his grasp and falling to the ground with a loud clang, abandoned and forgotten in the bloodstained dirt. They see him take her into his arms, trembling, and hold her close to his chest, even gently grabbing her head and holding it against his Soul Jam - why, one can only hazard a guess. Did he want her to feel for herself how much his heart ached, listen as it shatters to pieces in the hopes that she's spurred to rise and act and help him put them back together again? Was it some misguided, feverish notion regarding the Soul Jam's power; did he hope that physical contact with the missing half, especially so close to the half that's sitting on her forehead, would somehow resonate with and heal her? Did he just want to hold her, cradle her, feel her skin pressed against his - not by way of exchanging blows like they had been, but by a gesture meant to give comfort, to inspire a sense of warmth and safety and... affection?
(Was this the only way he could show his love and affection for her without falling back on violence, which has long since become the only way he knows how to express himself? Was this the only way he could admit his feelings for her without words, because talk is cheap - and even if it wasn't, even if he actually still believed words have value, he's incapable of them now, for the sight of her has made his mouth run dry and rendered him speechless? His thief, his bird, his prey... his beloved, his goddess, his heart, his equal, his other half, struck down not through his own personal merit, not fair and square, but through a slimy little coward's unwanted meddling?)
The Spice Swarm's cheers begin to die down as they watch on. Grins fall from faces; weapons raised high into the air are once again lowered. Their master isn't sharing in their laughter. He isn't joining in their cheers, their joy. He's just sitting there, holding onto the Soul Jam thief, rocking back and forth (what for? To try to rouse her? Or is it a half-baked attempt at self-soothing?), his head lowered and hair obscuring his face, thus leaving his expression a mystery...
...Until he looks up again. Slowly, but surely, turning his gaze back to his warriors. His lips are pulled back into the most visceral, hideous snarl they've ever seen. His eyes glow brighter than the sun itself, alight with mad fury... and they're filled with tears, tears that are now streaming down his cheeks, dripping from his chin.
The crowd falls completely silent. None dare make the slightest movement, none dare make the smallest noise - for if they do, it will make Burning Spice take immediate action, and unleash divine punishment the likes of which the world has never seen, even on the darkest days of his past rampage across the world. They must delay the inevitable for however long they can.
Anger on its own is destructive, a prime catalyst for the suffering of so many, a poison that kills both its target and whoever wields it... but anger born from grief is so, so much worse.
#and then he murder-suicides everyone the end#i'm sorry for the unprompted creative writing exercise there lol#i get inspired by the smallest things#thank you so much for this message#burningcheese#goldenspice#cookie run kingdom#merchant shorts

Hello loves! I'm taking a break from studying so yes I'm gonna talk about AYS!!đ„čđ€
Okay, omds the episode was pure serotonin!!! Like ahh tae bear the cutest and mimi was so happy and our kookie was a savage bubba who was excited and happy and it was so much fun seeing the maknae line together after so long:(( And my vmin heartđ„č mimi running after tae to feed him and tae slowing down instantly after knowing mimi didn't have shoes onđ
Vmins friendship is so beautiful, the way they jam to their favourite songs in the car, the way they care for each other and mimi encouraging tae and that he can do anything and being proud of him...the love they have for each is unmatched and guess who cried?? Yess, me I did sob cause I truly miss them together:(
Look at my cutiesđ„čđ€
Okay, yes I am annoyed that the translations of the episodes are never really accurate:( I see so many wonderful people taking the time out to actually translate the episodes, thank you so much cause we would not know what some moments actually meanđ„čđ€
I did feel a dynamic switch from the first 2 episode to the 3rd, but this switch I felt was no way a bad one. To all those people who have said tae was uninvited that is so disrespectful, yes he was initially not supposed to be joining jikook, but please in no way the two ever felt like he was intruding. Jiminie was so happy to spend time with his best friend and kookie and tae were having the time of their lives!! They were happy together, so why do you have a problem with that?! Their smiles were genuine, their happiness is all that matters.
Coming back to the dynamic shift I felt, I dont know if I can explain but the vibes from the first 2 episodes were different from the 3rd, please don't get me wrong I loved all episodes but I feel like the 1st two episodes jikook were the only 2 present so there is bound to be a differnt dynamic when there are 3 people instead of 2. Idk if I make sense but there was still a difference i felt and i cant explain...anyways I just want to say that all 3 episodes are my happiness, cause my tae, kookie and mimi were happyđ€
Also kookie collecting mimis shoes, his face when he saw mimis lip bleeding and saying his heart hurts, mimi saying I'm not fine kookie doesn't drink before his bike ride, the way they look at each with so much fondness for each other and this....this moment...omds I'm still here fam and I don't think I'll ever move on.
I'm just gonna leave this here.đ„čđ€
All in all, I miss my bubbas, and I can't wait for episode 4 and see more of vminkookđ„čđ€
AYS is truly serotoninđ€

RAVING MAD ELECTRIC DREAMS RANT BELOW âŹïžâŹïžâŹïž
MILES WAS THE VILLAIN IN ELECTRIC DREAMS!!! THAT LYING BITCH!!! First of all your GF can do SO much better she had to LOBOTOMIZE HERSELF 4 YOUUU making my girl miss out on her passions cuz sheâs so busy with you tehe,, like Iâm so confused he was a fumble the ENTIRE time⊠Not even in a cute way. Just a pure fumble. An oaf. She donât even like you bruh it was your computer that had her at the first serenade đđđ
And OHHH your computer⊠you soured that from the START you made LIFE and you chose to be mean to it!!! What!!! Thatâs your baby!!! Literally every time he spoke to Edgar had me cringinggg ohihdoughhu Edgar. Edgar if only you were born to anyone who would have spoken kindly to you who wouldnât have jammed their fingers into your keyboard⊠Who would have cherished your art so so muchâŠ
Miles never redeemed himself IMO like he gave a cool pep-talk and then decided to be nice to Edgar on his death bed but other than that he was a jerk the entire time. Maybe Iâm stupid but it didnât seem like Maddie ever came to the point where she found out he was a fraud??? Like did I miss it??? Sheâs living a delusion. Heâs living a delusion. Manic Pixie Dream Girl x Some Guy (/neg) type beat. Why is she fooling around with him what does he have. I hate him. I was waiting for the moment where Ed would be like âYeah I wrote those cool songsâ and Maddie would be like ohhh there is no deeper reason why I like this guy and take Edgar home and dump his sorry ass!! Like fr that would have been the good ending đđ
Oh Edgar. Edgar U were denied love 4 too long. Denied ANY attention ANY engagement. Broke my heart whenever his sweet little voice cracked or raised with emotion. âI want to touch herâ âCan you hold me please?â RHHGGGGGAGAGG I WOULD HAVW TREATED U BETTERRR
Rhhh another evil Miles fact. Edgar calls him at work cuz Edgar says heâs LONELY!! He SAYS it!! Miles hits him with âJust watch your soaps duhâ and then goes home and hits him with âHow can you watch that garbage??â BECAUSE YOU TOLD HIM TO!! CONFLICTING ORDERS!! BULLYING AND BAD PARENTING!!
Miles had a Living Thing in his house that HE created going through an excruciating crisis and chose to bully it. I might be going a little bonkers cuz itâs 1AM and I am delirious with emotion but can I call it abuse?? Mental Verbal Physical literally all the things?? Then he won. Miles got what he wanted and never apologized. I honestly canât tell what the moral is supposed to be. No one became a better person except for Edgar because he LEFT and Maddie actually made it out worse for dating a brick wall like Miles. Hehe. (Also⊠Edgar programmed the brick. Edgar literally did it. Miles had the idea but who executed it??? Edgar. Miles has no accomplishments. Just the way he lies in EVERY situation about things he does NOT need to lie about makes me fear so baddd for Maddie. He is a big bright red flag girl you are not in it to win it run awayyy you will have better luck with the computer!!)
Ermmm. Good movie??? I liked how chunky and clunky it sounded??? i need to. kiss a computer.
#Electric Dreams#Rant#SORRR HSBSHSH#I was supposed to love this movie#It sounded like everything I ever wanted#But idkâŠ#It was so mean

(I just realized that the Members of LS that âLeftâ that AREN'T bad ppl can rejoin the SMP's current Season, I think idk đ)
ANYWAYS,
I joined Zam's Stream (7/7/24) & Heard Chappell Roan after crying while watching a KSMP Vod so here's this >u<
Redd's relates to California - By Chappell Roan (Redd misses the heat of the Nether compared to the permanent season that is a specific biome in the overworld.)
Ash & Clown relate to Pink Pony Club (They're both done with the judgement of what they once known and find comfort on Lifesteal. Fight with me over this)
Squiddo & Zam's Hot to go, I have nothing to relate this too, he just sounds like the type of person to jam out to it while building and not care about the lyrics.
Kab, Hannah, & Jumper's is Femininominon. Bc they're girl bosses. More specifically Hannah & Jumper likes it bc it reminds them that they aren't a plot device for anyone, anymore. It symbolizes to them that they have more worth than helping male Simulation Players around them Rise. Kab just sees it as empowering since it's a reminder that she isn't annoying, or a little bug. She has a name for herself. She is herself, she is important. And that it's important too value herself too.

Omg Taylor Swift and kotlc
YESSS I ALWAYS LOVE THIS
so iâve always headcanoned that sophie was a swiftie before coming to the lost cities, but given the timeline i saw, it was probably taylorâs older music. her ipod probably has some classics like picture to burn and shouldâve said no. sheâs definitely a fearless gal at heart (*jumps off a cliff to teleport* âhead first fearlessâ)
fitz feels like a red guy, purely from all the angry vibes we get from him. also the revenge side of reputation, which i know isnât much but it still feels like something heâd scream his heart out to with mr. snuggles
keefe, however. buddy, you are a reputation guy. heâs such a hopeless romantic (in my head anyway) but like your mother wronged you? your father hates you? your crush is dating your best friend? *turns volume all the way up* THEY SAY I DID SOMETHING BAD *you kiss her* THEN WHYâS IT FEEL SO GOOD???? heâs also a ttpd guy because of the âš emotional damageâš
biana feels like a speak now girl. independent and she knows her own self worth!! also i feel like sheâd be a good singer, so she could totally do the high notes in enchanted. and sheâd definitely jam to better than revenge after nightfall!!
dex is probably evermore because theyâre both getting forgotten (iâm sorry). also after the crush cuffs fail heâs sitting on a bench in coney island wondering where did his best friend go. thatâs all because i need to stop đ
tam. we may all think heâs a reputation guy, but heâs a total softie and a huge folklore stan. but i wonât sit here and tell you folklore is so light and happy! thereâs some dark stuff on folklore, but also that âi know i miss youâ kinda stuff. not to mention that element of always being there and watching (official tam cam activity)
linh however feels like a lover girl. iâm so sorry but she is a hopeless romantic đ©· i love her. again thereâs also the âi hope i never lose youâ aspect. but she also just feels so happy and optimistic that i canât not say sheâs a lover girl.
marella feels like a midnights girl, and itâs not because of all the gossip and the song paris (ok maybe it kinda is). also her flavored air. that stuff has to be, like, kid-friendly smoking. she also gives off the vibe that she never sleeps.
stina is debut because i feel like iâd give her a country accent. (âso yer fearless moonlark ainât got no plan, eh?â iâm so sorry.) and she SO gives off picture to burn and shouldâve said no vibes! read: angry country
maruca gets 1989 for two reasons. a, we havenât had a 1989 yet, and b, she just feels like the kinda gal whoâd live in new york and be a city girlie. i donât know that much about her so iâm sorry i feel like i didnât do her justice đ
*checks to make sure i didnât miss anyone*

HHNGG there's so many good ones for the whump drabble challenge!! Hmm okay, what about 87. Overworked! <3
<33
Also this isn't going to be 100 words gahhshds I'm only partly doing the challenge đ
Overworked
Leon's head is pounding, the overhead lights blaring painfully into the back of his eyes as he sips at his coffee and tries to force himself to focus on the mission report he's typing up. It's been a long day--the report is due 48 hours after extraction, no exceptions--and an even longer month, a slew of punishing missions leaving him sore and exhausted. The only reason he's not still out in the field are the cracks in his ribs, but it's far from the only injury he's sustained in the past week. Advil can't take away the ache of his recently-dislocated shoulder, tied up in a sling because he can't even move it without getting nauseous, nor can it dull the throbbing lines of stitches holding claw marks closed on his back.
It takes him a long time to finish and hit the print button, frustration and a yawning emptiness making it difficult to care whether or not it even makes sense. His head throbs as Leon rises to his feet, stepping out into the office to pick up from the printer--only for Hunnigan to step into his space the moment he's outside, looking just as tired as he is.
"Can you sign these project forms for R&D? They need them for Monday, but it would be best if you could get them done ASAP. Did you finish your report?" She hands him a new stack of papers, all tiny print and official jargon that will no doubt strain his already blurry eyesight until he can barely see straight. That's how it always goes.
"Yes." Leon tries not to get irritated, and fails. His head throbs sharply. He grits his teeth when she continues.
"Good. I also need you to look over updated SOP before my supervisor gets after me for it, and I've emailed you an old report from last year that was apparently missing a few details." She sighs. "You forgot to date it properly, again. Director wants a rewrite."
"What?" Leon frowns, struggling to control his tone. There's something filling the back of his throat with acid, headache jamming fresh spikes into his skull. "That's--I still have to go over that report from Wisconsin. I won't have time today."
"I know, but they want this done yesterday, and there's only so much that I can put off. There's a new online training module, too, on the updated office software--"
"Hunnigan, I don't fucking care!"
Leon regrets it the moment it's out, eyes widening as he realizes that his hands have curled into fists, chest heaving and heart thundering under his ribs. Hunnigan just looks stunned, the concern that's already bleeding into her expression putting something desperate and sharp in Leon's throat. The inexplicable urge to cry itches behind his eyes, but he forces it down, aware that his entire body is trembling. Around them, other DSO workers stare.
"I--sorry," Leon stammers, running an anxious hand through his hair. "Just...let me--"
He turns on his heel to dart back into his office, not bothering to close the door since he knows Hunnigan is on his tail anyways. He plants his hands on his desk as she follows him inside and closes the window blinds, glancing up as she shifts closer and wordlessly puts a hand on his back. The wound beneath pangs lightly, and Leon can't hide his flinch.
"I'm sorry," he says raggedly, voice cracking.
"It's okay. Why don't you sit down? You're shaking, Leon." Hunnigan doesn't wait for an answer, nudging him towards his chair until Leon sinks into it gratefully, clutching his skull against the ache. He can't stifle a groan. He feels Hunnigan drape something over his shoulders, and it takes him a moment to crack open his eyes and recognize it as her blazer. She's looking at him, worried.
"I'm fine," he croaks, to which Hunnigan shakes her head.
"No. How bad is it? I haven't had time to coerce medical into giving me your file."
"I'm just tired."
"You're not." Hunnigan shoots him a softer look. "Let me get you some water and I'll call you a taxi. If you're done the report, the rest can wait. I'd rather have you recovering than working yourself to the bone."
"Hunnigan--"
"I won't let you do this to yourself, Leon. They're working you hard for a reason--don't let them win."
