please god i need to know what U think of the whole “jadebloods are all female!” thing because i got into homestuck in 2019 around the time of friendsim and (retching) Lanque so i always assumed they were explicitly intended to be an all-female caste. however, re-reading the comic this year, i couldnt find a mention of it other than virgo and the Space aspect being really feminine, but i think kanayas journey with motherhood is more kanaya-centric than All-Jadebloods centric??
on one hand, it makes sense given that alternia has very real gendered oppression, so what’s better for that than CATHOLICISM?? on the other hand, i always saw kanaya as being transfem coded, because it connects so well with roxy yknow.. homestuck fans love to insist that certain characters just have to be cis women (kanaya, jade, roxy)
(as an aside; was “long hair was butch on alternia” a one off joke? i like speculation about alternia’s fashion opposing earth, lol)
most all of our basis for explicitly gendered interpretation of Alternia comes from act 6 intermission 3, where Aranea tells us that "jade 8loods were also an almost exclusively female caste". so the door has always been open for there to be "some male jadebloods". but it's a mistake to view this as having anything to do with any kind of "biological sex". the whole idea of biological sex among trolls is a smoke screen. the jadebloods' assigned gender at birth is "jadeblood". this is what makes them a feminised caste.
Caliborn doesn't have a clue what biological sex is. Aranea will tell you that there are boy cherubs and girl cherubs, but for your own sanity you need to cast this idea out of your mind: cherub sex takes place between good and evil cherubs - which is determined by their blood - and anything else is just roleplay. Caliborn's attitude toward sexing is that the ones he likes are boys - that's all the thought that goes into it. and that's the mindset we need to be aware of when we delve into understanding troll gender. there are some trolls who have breast tissue and some who don't, but they aren't "mammaries" in any sense, so there's no reason to believe they're actually sexual characteristics of any kind; maybe this is what Lord English chose to base his gender schema on, but the idea that this means there must be "male trolls" and "female trolls" is completely imagined for the narrative convenience of the human reader.
when we read that there are "male-dominated" highblood castes and therefore by implication female-populated lowblood castes, it's not by some coincidence of biology: the highblood castes are male-dominated BECAUSE they are highblood castes. each caste has a role to play in Caliborn's Alternia, and just as the highblooded roles are those of patriarchal domination, the lower castes must take on roles of feminised submission; and in the case of the jades in particular, this means breeding duties. the fact that this also comes with the expectation to wear makeup and pretty clothes is just more roleplay.
so tl;dr what i think of "the all jadebloods are female thing" is that it is very obviously true but in a way more 5 dimensional gender studies way than anyone else tends to mean when they say it
my pet "long hair was butch on alternia" headcanon - which is a joke but in the way all headcanons about alternia should be jokes of some kind - actually kind of relates to this lol. bc i figure that if gendered expectations of female trolls includes working in disgusting underground caverns filled with genetic material, it's going to be practical to keep your hair close to your head where it won't get dirty, in much the same way the feminist image of the short-haired woman became popular in the west during and after world war 2, wherein a lot of women had to start wearing their hair close to their heads to avoid scalping themselves in the factory machinery they suddenly had to start working with. hence kanaya dedicated to her assigned feminine role and wearing her hair short vs. porrim rebelling against it for feminist reasons and thus wearing her hair at a length that would be totally impractical for wading through gene pools.
#i had someone get mad at me once for saying this bc it implied vriska was butch or whatever.#which idgaf about. any further interpretations you make about the other girl trolls based on this are out of my hands#anyway i wont apologise for making this so long bc im sure at this point it's what you all want out of me when you ask this stuff LOL#homestuck#for tha record. i have written articles about each caste on the mspa wiki. all my sources r there you dont ALWAYS need to do your own rsrch

You've mentioned that you hc Reigen as ace, can you elaborate?
I agree w/ that but can't sort my thoughts out well enough to make a coherent analysis ;w;
Yeah, that's the vibe he gives me. No concrete "evidence" and I don't care all that much about the sexual orientations of fictional characters, but I guess for me, the headcanon comes down to three things:
1) Reigen is super disinterested in other people being attracted to each other. I feel like there are several small examples of this, but first one that comes to mind is that case with the esper who can astral project and uses it to stalk his neighbor. When they discover this, Reigen has such a non-reaction. I've seen a lot of people bring up these panels
which, yeah, but when they find the culprit, Reigen also doesn't express much of an opinion. It's just "it's a stalker, stalking is bad and illegal, this is a job for the police." No more introspection from him, he immediately moves on, it doesn't interest him. Mob is the one doing all the reacting.
2) Reigen never resorts to flirting despite how he's known for bullshitting his way through anything else to complete a job. Like, no matter how horny Studio Bones is for the guy, they can't change this. He could deliberately capitalize on the fact that a considerable amount of his income comes from massaging middle-aged ladies who find him attractive, but he doesn't. It's accidental. It does not even seem like something Reigen thinks about.
3) Reigen's a self-conscious person, yet doesn't act like it bothers him that he's seemingly never been in a relationship before. He explicitly has a crisis over being lonely in the confession arc, but it's about friends and connections and doing something meaningful with his life. Romantic relationships don't factor into it, even though it easily could, considering it has great thematic relevance for Mob who spends the entire story being in love. Not that you can't fall in love with someone if you're ace, this goes a little bit into aro territory I guess, but either way.. it just gives me that vibe. The indifference. I mean, even in chapter 99 when Mob point-blank asks Reigen for advice about Tsubomi, Reigen first asks Serizawa, then looks it up on his phone, exactly like he would with any other topic he doesn't know jack shit about.
Also, at the end of the scene, he muses about what's important in a relationship, and his conclusions just.. don't sound like he's talking about romance? To me?
I don't know, that entire scene gives me flashbacks to being younger and not yet knowing what asexuality (or aromanticism) is and having to navigate conversations like that without giving away that you fundamentally can't relate to this thing everyone else is so preoccupied with.
Them's my takes, I don't have much else to say about it.
#I remember a million years ago I set out to write an ace reigen post bc someone else asked me about it and now I guess I did#mp100 meta#reigen arataka#mob psycho 100#replies

Yeah "sparking" means courting or kissing. It's even in an old Disney song "On the Front Porch" from the 1963 movie Summer Magic. "Watch the fireflies sparkin'/do some sparkin' too." I don't think Walt would have let them sing about having sex, and especially not on a front porch. And Haymitch and Lenore Dove did not have sex in her backyard with her uncles in the house keeping an eye on her and near enough that Haymitch called to them when she died and they came rushing out. If that happened, it'd have been Haymitch getting killed that night. There is no clear textual statement that they had sex. Not even that part of going into the woods for hours or neck kisses or even that line about her warm body against his. None of those are exclusive to sex, even the warm body one. You can think that they had sex and use these quotes as a basis, but it's a headcanon. Just as it's a headcanon to say they didn't have sex. There's also no statement about that, either.
Based on their young age (Haymitch turned 16 the day he was reaped), the cultural context (no birth control, reaping, premarital sex seemingly judged and frowned upon), as well as Lenore Dove's protective uncles who disapprove of Haymitch, while he is trying to get their approval because he's in it for the long haul with Lenore Dove, gives plenty of reason to doubt that was a step they felt prepared for at 15/16 years old. Doesn't mean they kept a bible between them but there are things teens like to do that fall between eye contact and sex.
Also, Haymitch says, "The only human contact I allow myself arrives by way of Capitol News, which I play on my television set 24/7....I make no plans, have no hopes, keep no company, speak to no human being except old Bascom Pie when my nepenthe runs low." Yes, some people get drunk and have sex in an act of self-destruction or coping or grief. But not everyone does, and here Haymitch is clear that he is rejecting any type of human contact. He doesn't want any part of interacting with others. He doesn't explicitly say he's never had sex, but this context he seems to be saying that he grieves by shutting out not just emotionally, but physically as well, which makes sex something he's unlikely to do as his way of grieving. Even being drunk doesn't mean you want to have sex or will have sex or lack the capacity to turn someone away if they come onto you and you don't want it. And Haymitch really doesn't seem to want anything to do with anybody.
Not the poll I thought I would be making after sotr but here we are
#like charlie this discussion gives me weird vibes#like sex is a normal thing to do but it's like...the insistence?#or the disbelief that a grown man would be a virgin?#like haymitch isn't a real adult or he's pathetic or a loser if he hasn't?#even though his life went in a way that you have to admit it's a real possibility he never had the chance#first because he was so young when his true love died#and the way it happened made it so he couldn't heal or even want to be around other people#idk maybe it has to do with the way suzanne writes her mcs as like demisexual#that they only experience attraction for their one true love#the way that haymitch is like "actually i would NOT like lenore dove to fall in love with someone else NO THANK YOU#“and for that matter i don't want anyone else either. EWWW!!! GAG!!!!”#sotr spoilers

Hi, I'm kind of sending this to all the people I saw who write for demon slayer...so could you do a "What would it be like to be Obanai's adopted daughter and his apprentice"?
Obanai W/ a Tsuguko!Reader
Characters: Iguro Obanai Type: Platonic, Headcanons, Fem!reader implied?, Found Family
didn't explicitly make Obanai Reader's dad just because when you do the math he would've been 16 at the time of finding them but the relationship is still there
Warnings: none? spoilers maybe? tad bit angsty at the end...
even though this guy is mean and merciless he's not EVIL
bro is still human with human emotions, so when he finds a small helpless child (9-10) while out on a mission he's not just gonna leave them there
you kind of reminded him of himself
which is how he ended up taking you in
originally he was just going to bring you back to the city and let you go off wherever but you continued following him and he just couldn't get rid of you
and now he's stuck
your young impressionable mind soaked up his mannerisms like a sponge
without even being taught directly, you managed to make your way around swiftly and unnoticed, often times scaring the man who took you in
he acts annoyed by this but you're kind of growing on him and he's lwky impressed
any time he goes out he demands you stay in the estate, and not wanting to disappoint him you listen (Obanai is very much a hater of rule breakers)
you never actually got to see him in action, but once you were a tad bit older you found out his occupation (upon asking about the sword he carries) and decided you wanted to be just like him
so when he became a hashira and the test thingy came up you literally BEGGED him to let you take them
he would refuse without giving you any reason besides "because I said no" at first (because he has a soft spot for you and rather not put you in danger ever though he won't admit it)
butttttt after seeing your determination and catching you watching him train to practice later he finally decides to train you
he has this whole elaborate, harsh training regimen and he says if you can't pass it you won't be able to become a demon slayer
he's so mean throughout the whole thing...(its tough love)
despite his seemingly impossible to reach standards you end up succeeding yayyyy and you take the test thingy and don't die yayyyyyyy yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy
#very proud Obanai moment (he won't say that though)
he continues training you and now you're officially his tsuguko cus yk...you're part of the corps now
he kind of distances himself from you in public, keeping an eye on you from afar
people don't even think you're his tsukugo and when you tell them that they're like WHAT (esp zenitsu...)
whenever you guys go on missions together he lets you hold your own but is quick to step in if anything goes wrong
the first time you accidentally call him dad (or any other familiar honorific of some sort) he literally stops in his tracks like "what did you just call me"
and you're like oops my bad..heh...
if you ever say it again he won't stop you (it actually means a lot to him)
originally he tried keeping you away from Mitsuri but she thinks your guys' dynamic is the cutest which made him stop actively trying to keep you away
will smack you upside the head or chase you around if you tease him for it later
that look he gave Tanjiro after he found out he got to spend time with Mitsuri during hashira training? yeah, he does that to every other slayer (especially male) who has ever interacted with you (but in a platonic, protective sense)
he watches as you climb the ranks and hopes for you to replace him as a hashira once he dies
he thinks you're a much better person than he is and much more deserving of the life you have, and he hopes that even once he's gone you'll continue to thrive

happy new year dear!! i just wanted to drop by for a small request because i saww your recent Hiccstrid post, if you're open with it can we have a Hiccstrid and reader request? i thought it'd be cute whether romantic or platonic to have reader be a sweet mediator between the two, just happy to be there and being close to the two!
'Looking Out For You!'
A/n: hii there!! Happy New Year ! Lol I finished this a little late BUT WE'RE STILL HERE NONETHELESS. I decided to make this one into some platonic Headcanons because I felt that would be best for this ask! Hope you enjoy it :) !
Warnings(?): none. But a little note, most of this takes place before Hiccup and Astrid officially get in a relationship.
Hiccup & Astrid x !Fem! Reader (Platonic.)
Who said you didn't have any siblings? These two fit that category quite well in your opinion.
This couple is really “something else”, according to your words.
They can either bring you immense joy or immense headaches.
You still love them.
You don't exactly know when or how you three built a solid friendship, but you're glad for it either way.
You were (surprisingly) always one of Astrid's close friends, even before she started to develop her bond with Hiccup.
You two seemed to “click” rather fast.
However, when it came to Hiccup, you two didn't interact much. Before he found Toothless, there was only a mutual understanding between you that said you wouldn't deride him as others had done.
He appreciated it.
But once you three sincerely got to know each other better, the friendship that bloomed was impossible to push aside.
Astrid would often come to you expressing her feelings towards Hiccup after a while, which shocked you beyond measure.
You knew she wasn't one to open up about things such as that very quickly, so you made sure to tread carefully while giving her the best advice you could come up with.
It mostly consisted of: "Then why don't you just tell him instead of me?"
You remembered not to say anything like that again when she glared at you.
She doesn't mean any harm by it, trust me. Probably.
Hiccup, on the other hand, was quite obvious in revealing what he felt towards her right from the beginning - all without explicitly saying it.
It didn't take him long to ramble about his affections for her. He would pull you aside a lot just to talk on certain traits of hers, the little things she does, and her in general.
-------------
You tried not to let your face show the exasperation that clung to you because of the whole topic. "Seriously, when are you two gonna admit it? Am I Astrid?"
Hiccup paused, slowly shaking his head.
"Then why on earth are you telling me all of this!?"
"Because I need to get this off my chest somehow!" Hiccup gestured his hands at you while he talked, waving them as if he were explaining a complex matter.
You pinched the bridge of your nose, heaving a sigh. "I got an idea; why don't you just tell her what you feel then!"
At the end of the day, he, in fact, did not.
-------------
You were more relieved once you all came to the Edge; there they seemed to be more willing to work on...whatever it was between them.
You silently cheered them on the whole time and ‘counseled’ the two.
The day they told you it was ‘official’... Hiccup got punched on the arm and Astrid was shaken uncontrollably by her shoulders - all your handy work.
------------
"You're serious now?!" You shouted, jumping in place from the pure excitement that coursed through your veins.
Hiccup had been busy rubbing his arm, which was sure to have a new bruise in the morning, wincing as he answered for the third time. "Yes! Now will you quit–" He dodged another punch sent his way, looking at you as if you deeply offended him.
You briskly shook your head, lightly clapping. "Nope! You deserve it for putting me through so much waiting!"
Astrid, who was recovering from having a miniature earthquake done to her, pinched the bridge of her nose. "Okay, okay, we get it! You better quit messing around like that or–"
Your gleeful shouts interrupted her from continuing,
And they just had to deal with it.
---------------
You were their top supporter, to say the least.
If they had small trivial arguments, they'd both come to you at separate times – not that they knew it, of course.
It allowed you to simultaneously hear both sides of the stories and eventually help them sort it out.
After a while, they learned to resolve any disputes (there were hardly any) on their own without constantly going to you right away, which made you content.
It was their relationship after all!
(You watched them like a proud mother from afar whenever they spent time together, at least where you could see them.)
When it came to being around them individually, you'd usually go with Hiccup on the flights he normally does. (Even if it was to get away from his Chiefly lessons.)
He lets you assist him in sketching out more details on his map whenever you might discover another island or sea stack somewhere.
Being with Astrid was always an ebullient experience; you'd train and spar alongside her and do some axe throwing as well.
It always seemed to make her more lively.
The two of them appreciated you, although you could get extra bubbly most of the time.
They still love you.

lyse for the hcs?
Headcanon A: realistic
I think Moenbryda knew it was her, just as much as Y'shtola and all the other scions knew it was her. I like the idea of Lyse freaking out about never explicitly telling Moen but maybe Papalymo calms her down and soothes her about it, in the very terse and rational way he always was.
Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious
Papalymo was slipping her answers on the side so she could still pretend to be an Archon while keeping up the facade. Like just a linkpearl turned on at all times and he's whispering what to say to her. Probably she repeats some stuff wrong, but just plays it off as being ditzy.
Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends
She kept calling Papalymo by linkpearl while he was in that cocoon and the call kept connecting but she never heard anything on the other end. She would just ramble and cry into it telling him he has to survive and how much she needs him and how lost she is without him. OUGHGHGHGH sorry I'm having big Papalymo and Lyse friendship feelings with this post today lol I fucking adore them!!!!!
Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.
She helps Fordola get to a position of being actually respected and liked in Ala Mhigo, like gives her the proper redemption arc that she needs. I'd still want it to be long and difficult and full of angst (I mean duh, we're talking about Fordola here) but I'd love for her and Lyse to work hard to reintegrate her properly :3 unrealistic only in the sense that I don't think it would ever happen lol if we even see Lyse or Fordola again!!! 😫

I'm gonna be honest I included Handles first and then went "oh heck if he goes I need the classic robots too."
As for why I made so many of them be straight. Welp. You ready for a deep dive into how I think? There are kind of a lot of little reasons why, and we're going to be touching on a lot of different points of how my brain works. None are the main reason, so you get them all.
The identity reason: I am fully in support of queer representation and agree that there needs to be more of it! This is very important. However, to my own personal perception and enjoyment of something, a bi character or a lesbian character is usually equivalent to a straight character. Making a character bi or gay doesn't actually make them more likable or relatable to me. I still think it's important and that this should be done more often, but, like. To me a character who likes romance is a character who likes romance, and the category of who they want to romance doesn't actually matter. So with my own personal headcanons - which don't need to give representation to anyone who is not me - I don't really have any motivation to make them queer in the gay or bi sense. I still get exited to see any sort of queer rep in official media, but that's for the same reason I get exited for good rep in general - it doesn't impact me directly, but I know it'll mean a whole lot to a bunch of people.
The source material reason: I don't know if you've noticed this, but I basically can't talk about Doctor Who without citing a bunch of sources for whatever point I'm making. The way I think about Doctor Who is very grounded in the evidence I get from the show. I also will often draw on authorial intent when it comes to things that are not stated explicitly in-universe (this helps a lot with how I place stories in my Timeline). I'm certainly willing to disregard authorial intent, but it does tend to be my default in absence of contradictory information. And like I'm pretty sure that before Rona Munro (the author of Survival) decided to introduce sapphic elements to Ace, authorial intent was that the companions were straight. Same goes for all nuwho companions before Clara (discounting Jack).
The perception reason: This one is weird. My brain does not automatically differentiate between fiction and reality. I don't talk about this a ton publicly mostly because I don't want to get written off as crazy, but there is a part of me that literally believes that I live in the Doctor Who universe. Like, I know that I don't, I know intellectually the difference between reality and fiction, but that is something I kinda have to remind myself of intellectually. (As an aside, I intentionally avoid any media that tries to get clever with the fourth wall in a creepy way because of this because that fucks me up). So, going back to Doctor Who. I try not to assume other real people's sexualities are anything other than the default option they present, and so I am disinclined to make assumptions like that about fictional characters. This gets ramped up to the extreme for headcanoning characters as trans/using pronouns that they don't in the source material - like if I (for example) even consider using he/him pronouns for Sarah Jane, my brain goes WAIT WAIT NOPE YOU'RE MISGENDERING HER DON'T DO THAT BAD NO NO. Like, that's an appropriate reaction if I misgender a real person, and while Sarah Jane isn't a real person, I can't differentiate her enough in my head to get around that reaction. Even if it's a situation with they/them pronouns (like, say, considering Ace nonbinary) - my brain will just automatically start pointing out that I'm not using that person's stated pronouns, and I need to get my butt in gear and fix that. Demigirl is literally as far as my brain will go before it freaks.
The preference reason: I don't actually want every character to be queer. To me (and this is fully just inside my own head and not a statement on what anyone else does!) headcanoning a bunch of characters as queer kinda because reduces the impact of the characters I do choose to headcanon as queer. I have made a very intentional statement that I do not see Zoe Herriot as straight, and that is for reasons that are very important to me - it's not a coincidence that I (the autistic person) am headcanoning the autistic companion with my own sexuality. But to me (and again this is just me) headcanoning a bunch of other characters as queer - even as acearo - would reduce the impact and importance of that being a belief I have about Zoe Herriot.
Hoping all of that makes sense!
Also realizing we both forgot about Jo. For me she's straight but poly. And Nardole is bi, but in a similar not-really-actually-alien way in the same vein I described for Turlough.
Companion Orientation Headcanons
(just off the top of my head)
Susan: she's a Time Lord so, like all Time Lords (except Andred), she doesn't really have a concept of romance or an interest in either. The boy she settles down with isn't really romantic love so much as her first regular, normal friendship in decades
Ian: the straightest guy that has ever straighted
Barbara: has definitely kissed a woman. Several, actually, mostly on alien planets. But doesn't really think about her identity as such and continues to assume she'll marry a man eventually. And then she does (it's Ian)
Vicki: that girl is gay. Yes I KNOW how she left, shut up and let me have this
Steven: I think he's bi but from a time when the differentiation isn't as stark a thing and doesn't think about it much
Dodo: straight; she has enough to deal with
Ben and Polly: straight in the most boring way
Jamie: his orientation is the Doctor (whether or not this is requited is irrelevant). Actually, I was thinking more about this and decided I like the idea of him being ace. His romantic orientation is the Doctor. Hence, whether you want to see the two as a couple or more a qpr situation, just being together with him is enough
Victoria: very straight, but not in a brush-off boring way. It never occurred to her there were other options before traveling through space, and I think she was never really comfortable with the concept
Zoe: lesbian, because I said so
Liz: canonically bi, actually
Jo: bi, because I said so
Lethbridge-Stewart: the kind of old-fashioned bi where he's always had an interest in men but never acted on it
Yates: gay
Benton: token UNIT straight dude. Actually talked into kissing Yates one drunken night to be sure. He's sure
Sarah: (transmasc and) aroallo (bi but more into guys)
Harry: sigh, he's bi
Leela: never labels her sexuality but closest to pansexual, where she has an interest in people without concern for gender or presentation
Romana: a Time Lord, so no. Except when I want to ship her with Leela on occasion
Adric: gay and realized it right before meeting the Doctor
Nyssa: alloace (gay)
Tegan: bi and not fully comfortable with that
Turlough: gay in a pathetic Victorian boy way despite being (1) an alien and (2) living in the 80's
Peri: straight but has gay friends
Mel: aroallo (gay) and hangs out in queer spaces
Ace: (nonbinary and) aroace (I KNOW she has romances in the eu, let me have this)
Rose: the type of straight girl who at some point briefly went "men are terrible, I should try being gay"
Martha: bi and has an equal number of men and women as exes
Donna: demiromantic and bisexual
Amy: straight
Rory: ugh I don't like it but this guy is bi and had a high school boyfriend
Clara: canonically bi
Bill: canonically lesbian
Yaz: demi lesbian (is the lesbian part canon or just that she likes girls? I don't remember)
Ryan: alloace (straight)
Graham: straight, old enough he never really thought about it
Dan: straight
Ruby: idk dude, she's really young and probably midway through figuring out girls are cute
Anita: the Doctor's gay best friend
#i think i should tag this one as#heartshaven thoughts#because it's not actually about who#its about how my brain works

To the Anon who was asking about incest ships: another reason why incest ships are popular in the OM fandom specifically is because of how much canon material already supports it. It's natural for fans to extrapolate canon stuff from the games + fanon/headcanons for stuff like ships, and the games literally hand us so much incest on a silver platter. Asmo is the biggest example (he has hit on every single one of his brothers multiple times, he flirts with his brothers regularly, and has openly talked about how badly he wants to bang them all) but there's lots of canon incest subtext (and straight up explicit text, lol) from basically all the brothers. Lucifer and Mammon have a very blatant BDSM Dom/Sub thing going on, that the other characters have directly referred to as being sexual more than once. Satan also has an explicitly psychosexual obsession with Lucifer, with canon material in the game AND the official manga confirming that Satan has an Oedipus Complex (the "child who wants to fuck their parent" syndrome) and the characters literally say the exact words "Oedipus Complex" making it completely unambiguous. Beel and Belphie also have a lot of very heavy twincest stuff going on. Basically what I'm saying is, when the kitchen is serving incest on the menu, don't be surprised when incest fans show up to eat!
You’re so right!!!!
I mean they are literally handing us incest content, of course I’m gonna take it.
Mammon and Lucifer literally had some type of thing going on since the very first lesson in the og game (or at least I think so personally) when mammon shows up and Lucifer straight up hits him before he gets a chance to talk.
And of course there’s times when the game literally feeds into the incest thing, especially with Asmo. There’s many times when he tries to get a little freaky with his brothers, and they don’t even harshly reject him or anything they’re basically just like “not right now.” That definitely is not normal.
And also mammon and Levi’s thing. I know they don’t have much in cannon that specifically says anything with incest, but personally I think they definitely have something going on
Not to mention Satan and Lucifer. I knew they had something going on since I first played the game. Though, I never knew Satan has an Oedipus Complex. But that just feeds into the incest content more! (That does remind me that I have to write something for them) Satan and Lucifer have always been one of my favorite pairs, especially now that I know Satan canonically wants to fuck Lucifer. Their relationship is definitely different from the other brothers, especially since Satan came from Lucifer. And tbh I think it’s even better with the knowledge that Satan really wants to fuck Lucifer.
Anyway, the actual game has been feeding into the whole incest thing a lot and most people choose to ignore it. But I think we all have to realize that having incest in the obey me community really isn’t that weird, mostly since the game itself basically has incest in it.

I just wanted to ask if you ever feel bad (idk if that’s the right phrase) with shipping yourself with a character who is widely accepted to be aroace (ford)
I mean sometimes I feel awful for having oc x canon/self ships with characters who are headcanoned as aroace because I feel like I’m being selfish or something (even though I feel like I could be on the aroace spec myself)
Do you ever feel like that or do you have a different perspective on it?
I know you headcanon him as aroace AND biromantic (i think correct me if im wrong)
I’m just worried I’m being harmful because I’m not “letting them be aroace” because most aroace characters get shipped with others
I just wanna know what it’s like doing self shipping when you yourself have stated to at least be on the aroace spectrum
(Sorry for the long ask)
Hey! Sorry for taking so long to answer this. I kept going back to look at it to try and craft the perfect response but then kept forgetting g and ah you know how it goes.
I do not at all feel bad for self shipping with Ford. As an aroace person myself I think I should be allowed to play dress up with my favorite fictional man. I would actually argue that it's more widely headcanoned in the fandom that Ford is gay (which, I don't agree with lmao) and I STILL don't feel bad because there is no real canon orientation for any of the characters in gravity falls. It's not important to the plot, their stories, or anything, so the creator never felt the need to explicitly state anything (unlike say Vivziepop with hazbin hotel).
Also like, no, I don't think that it's selfish at all. He is fictional. He is not real. He cannot bleed. He cannot hear you. And he cannot defend himself. He's an idea. And I'd even argue that if anyone has the authority to hc Ford as aroace and still ship with him, its aroace people (us).
#also stupidlittleslirit has a really good perspective on this sort of thing#basically that theres different versions of ford that can exist#theres a ford that I think in canon is aroace. then theres the ford that i self ship with. then theres the ford i read x readers of. and so#on and so forth. you see what i mean?#idk i hope that makes sense lol#ask

headcanons about kaider that i think are really fucking beautiful:
• kai loves to surprise cinder. with coffee in bed, or with broken shit (like a med-droid) for her to fix
• cinder calls kai affectionately, “my husband and my love,” but only when they are alone
• kai calls cinder “my moon and every star in the sky” but only when they are alone
• kai loves to call her his wife constantly or his empress
• cinder still works as a mechanic while being empress
• cinder loves to wear kai’s clothes and kai always smiles when he sees her wearing them
• kai is a light sleeper, so whenever cinder gets woken by a nightmare, kai always is there to wrap his arms around her and pull her to him. she falls asleep in his arms soundlessly
• they sometimes stay up late, talking about their life. there is a lot of kissing that is involved
• kai loves to help cinder get dressed and vice versa. it’s a way he shows his affection to her and gratitude that she accepted to be his empress. he always makes sure that her crown is straight. After they dress each other, he kisses her forehead.
• cinder doesn’t wear dresses to balls. i will die on this hill. cinder does not wear dresses ever. it is shown so many times that she is not comfortable in dresses and prefers pants like at the end of winter it’s stated explicitly, “do i have to wear a dress? i don't care if you wear military boots and cargo pants. i just might. good.” i feel like kai and iko would help design cinder outfits that she would be comfortable in and most of her clothes would be in the eastern commonwealth style. she'd look hot as hell
• after long days being the emperor and empress of the eastern commonwealth, they love to sit on the floor and talk
• kai loves to rub cinders feet and cinder rubs his shoulders after long days
• they are almost always touching each other and they have a quiet intimacy that is so fucking beautiful
• cinder is always aware of kai’s moods when it’s the anniversary of his mother and fathers death. she has him cancel his duties and spend the day doing whatever he wants in order to have him grieve yet celebrate their lives. he says to her “you are my family, my love.” pressing a kiss to her hand and kai does the same with peony anniversary
• cinder loves to be kissed on the neck, and kai always obliges this want. often. whenever he can, he presses his lips to her neck
• they give each other love bites quite often, and the morning after they shower, they apply foundation and there is even more kissing. but they try to do it in less noticeable places
• they are always side by side when in meetings, and they treat each others as equals
• kai is very defensive when people begin asking about heirs. he literally loses his shit with the paparazzi. he waits until cinder is ready and tells her that they don’t have to have a child if she doesn’t want to
• kai loves to kiss cinder (and vice versa) whenever and wherever. in their room, the throne room, or against walls. always making sure it is okay with her first. they are really fucking in love and they kiss often, not caring who is watching.
• kai and cinder always (and i fucking mean always) ask for consent either verbally or non verbally for kissing, touching and sex
• cinder loves to sit on kai’s lap while they read documents together + curl and run her fingers in his hair (she literally does this when they dance in cinder)
• they have a favorite make out spot(s) and torin and iko are constantly trying to find them (but, hey, it’s a big palace) and sometimes they just walk away when they find them
• they always ask for consent before they kiss or have sex or before touching one another. i don’t care how long they’ve been married or together, they always ask for consent before doing anything and they wait for the other to say yes before they do it
• when they take showers together, kai loves to run his fingers in cinders hair help her with shampoo and conditioner. they almost always end up kissing while they’re together and cinder loves to kiss his collarbone and neck, it leaves kai breathless
• kai always kisses her control panel on her neck, it’s the first thing he does when he sees it for the first time
• cinder always loses her breath when she sees kai shirtless. like every. fucking. time.
• kai loves to place his hand on cinders waist and cinder loves the feel of his body against her while in bed
• whenever they don’t have morning meetings, they make good use of the time
• kai is always physically present with cinder, always a hand at her back or waist. or the brush a of a knee under the table, his fingers on her thigh. a brush of his lips on her neck or shoulder while she dresses, or a long kiss in bed when they first wake up. his brow rested on hers. he knows the neglect that she endured at hands of adri and that she never received love or comfort, so he makes sure that she is constantly being looked after including making she she’s had food
• sleepy kai is cinders favorite but thinks he is hot as hell when he is dressed in traditional eastern commonwealth clothes
• they say ‘i love you’ and kiss each other until they are breathless often
• years down the line, their love is still as strong as when they first met
• whenever one of them has to leave the palace, the bed always feels empty without them in it

Oh... my... g o d. You. You get it. You understand. I have found another enlightened, likeminded individual somehow by complete accident, I'm about to lose it, I swear-

I am going to ramble now. I don't know how else to say this other than y e s. You are absolutely right.
I don't think you understand. What you said is like my exact headcanon. I'm not even joking
Canon Ink is soulless. S o. The angst potential for that is off the charts. Both internal and external, babyyy. M a y b e a lot of it is internal (which is how I like to write it a lot hehe ✧˖°.) He has no soul, so he can't love, right??? So he can have intense self-loathing because he doubts all his feelings and actions. He can't feel. All his feelings are artificial because he needs his vials to even "feel" them in the first place. So h o w can he tell people; his friends, his family, anyone, that he loves them in good conscience? He can't. So this might lead to him pushing people away and to drown in crippling self-doubt.
It can be external too. Perhaps people doubt him. How can a soulless being love? How can they even feel? Are their feelings even real if he can just pick and choose what he wants to feel at any moment? If he can just pop the lid off a vial and have that emotion, how can one argue that is anything other than frighteningly artificial?
But our boi. Error's like n a a a h. He knows. S u r e, Ink's vials help him feel, but they help him express what is already there. If Ink's vials really only worked by that simple "take this to feel this" logic, then wouldn't Ink feel the exact same to every situation and person?? If he took a happy vial to feel affection for his friends, wouldn't he theoretically feel the exact same to Nightmare or someone? The vials can't discriminate. How would they know who Ink was supposed to like or dislike?
That extends to Error himself. If the vials really worked on that simple black and white thinking, then Ink's pink vial would work by feeling romantic love and affection for anyone. If the pink vial simply equals the feeling of love and affection, it wouldn't matter who it was, Ink would feel those feelings for that person. But he doesn't. He can differentiate love between his family and his friends. And depending on the story, Error might be the only person he feels this sort of romantic love for when he uses his vials to help him feel.
So, case in point. To Error and many other people who care about Ink, Ink's vials do not give him the ability to feel. They allow him to feel what is already there.
Ink's got a whole lot of self-doubt of that being true though, partly because of his own self-esteem and maybe because other people trying to convince him that it's true. But Error doesn't believe it. He's got proof to the contrary. And he's going to reassure Ink as long as he needs to... as long as it takes for him to finally believe it <3
G o d. I'm sorry for rambling, it's just. That's literally my exact headcanon and I don't know how to stop infodumping about my headcanons-
I could have just... referred you to my ao3, I guess. That honestly might have been quicker. Like, this is such an ingrained headcanon of mine, that I write about it almost subconsciously at this point?? I don't know which ones even have it, I just know at least two touch upon it

Anyway, yes. I agree with literally everything you just said, it's incredible. I'm so sorry for literally. Sending a w a l l of text. Apparently I'm your guy to talk about this crap to as well, I guess-
Can you guys tell I have a favorite pair of sillies yet . . .
#I just realized that I subscribe to the “Ink is very insecure about his body” headcanon too#Like a scary number of my fics deal with him hating his birthmarks#I JUST CAN'T RAMBLE ABOUT THAT TOO 'CUS I ALREADY MADE THIS UNGODLY LONG#I'm literally so sorry for rambling so much#I feel like that crappy meme I made in 2 minutes in my first reblog was like a very bad omen for this#BECAUSE THIS HAS BEEN MY HEADCANON FOR SO FREAKING LONG YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND#I said I was fine but that's a joke to poorly disguise the fact that I'm incredibly mentally ill#About these two in particular#Also sorry for self-promoting I guess#I don't usually do that#I just thought linking my ao3 that has like. P r o o f of this being a headcanon of mine would be beneficial#I mean; I don't have anything that explicitly says this is my headcanon I don't think#I just have stuff that *heavily* alludes to/implies it#Y e s. I am slowly surrounding myself with other based mad lads#This is amazing#Or it might be incredibly frightening#Getting a long... slightly unhinged reblog right after someone follows you might be a bit alarming lmao#I'm not crazy; I promise#Just maybe a lil bit when Errorink's concerned-

Ngl do you think the relationship between Arthur and Garth has anything to do with how often at the time adopted children were and are considered not as “real” as biological children? Especially because the whole nuclear family BS. Not saying that’s all of it but I think it plays a role
Oh, 100%. I mean, look at this:

Arthur is willing to kill Garth to save Aquababy, because Aquababy is his son...with the implicit corollary that Garth isn't. The kid he has raised since, like, age 8, who has been by his side and living in his house all these years, is just...a sidekick.
(I think it's worth noting that Batman, who is not a good father, was once in a similar situation - Ra's al Ghul wanted him to pick whether Tim or Damian should die - and Bruce immediately chose himself. Arthur didn't even consider sacrificing himself for the boys. When you're a worse father than Batman, you know you've fucked up.)
I will say that in the early decades, comics only rarely explicitly referred to heroes and sidekicks as fathers and sons - you don't see it very often with Dick or Roy either. That's why all the sidekicks were wards and none of them were legally adopted. (Dick wasn't adopted until he was over 18; Roy never has been.) This was mostly to keep the heroes seeming young and fun instead of stodgy old dads.
But since the 70s on, Dick and Roy have been very frequently, explicitly stated to be Bruce and Ollie's sons, and the same is true for subsequent sidekicks: Jason was going to be adopted right away, Tim was going to be adopted whether he wanted it or not, Mia is clearly Ollie's daughter.
By contrast, I can only think of two times the Arthur/Garth dynamic has been described as paternal. The first is from Garth's debut:
HE IS SO TINY. Also I can't stop laughing at how Arthur's like "Fuck that noise." TERRIBLE.
I can't remember exactly when the other instance was, but I want to say it was Arthur calling Garth his son in like...the early 2000s? Maybe the Jurgens run? It would've had to have been before the 2003 run, because Garth was not putting up with Arthur's bullshit from 2003 on, and then the New 52 happened.
But yeah, they don't use those words for each other...basically ever. (Lorena and Jackson are also not Arthur's children. To be fair, Jackson has two very alive parents so Arthur being like "YOU ARE MY SON" would be weird and inappropriate.)
I think another factor, though, is that Arthur isn't just Garth's former mentor and guardian - he's his king. A lot of the time, Arthur has very cold, formal relationships with almost everyone in his life who isn't Mera (and sometimes even her) or a literal baby. There's a certain loyalty Garth owes Arthur - or at least both characters seem to feel Garth owes Arthur, whether or not you or I might agree with that - that has nothing at all to do with family.
We also don't really know the Atlantean norms around this sort of thing. Like, we can extrapolate things about Ollie and Roy's relationship that aren't written on the page, but do Atlanteans even have differentiations between ward, foster, and adoptee? Do they differentiate between adoptee and biological child?
And combining both of those ideas, Garth being considered Arthur's son might have political ramifications. Does that put him in the line of succession? The comics have been wildly inconsistent on this (Titans called him a prince this month and I yelled "EXPLAIN YOURSELF, TOM TAYLOR" at the page), but one could headcanon that Arthur has very deliberately avoided formally recognizing Garth as his son for political reasons. (Unless he has and that's why Garth is apparently a prince now, like he was in the Jurgens run but no other time in history. EXPLAIN BOTH OF YOURSELVES, TOM TAYLOR AND DAN JURGENS.)
Anyway yeah, I mostly think you're right that it's just anti-adoption prejudice, but there are some other factors that make this situation unique among the many, many mentor/sidekick relationships in comics.

People fight over whether Mike is gay or bi mean while my personal favorite headcanon is something I don't think many people have considered:
Unlabeled Mike
It's my personal headcanon that Mike wouldn't care about labeling himself. All he knows is that he likes Will and doesn't care about anything else. He doesn't know what he is and he's okay with that. As long as he gets to love Will nothing else matters.
All other headcanons are great and valid I was just sharing my own perspective. I love both the bi and gay Mike headcanons, but I can't choose between the two which is one of the reasons I'm sticking with unlabeled Mike for now. In the end I don't think it really matters what Mike is since I don't feel the show is going to explicitly say what he is. As long as he's a boy kisser nothing else matters 👨❤️💋👨

The Nameless
It's pride month, so I'm finally getting into X-Men. (Okay, I didn't actually plan it out that way, but it lined up.) Anyway, I'm surprised that everyone hasn't already gone nuts about the X2 villain's extremely miserable trans daughter.
Now, the thing is, this isn't explicitly confirmed in the text. But the subtext is in-your-face enough that it feels dismissive to call it a "headcanon". Like, this is the same movie with the line "have you tried... not being a mutant?" in it, and this character being trans isn't particularly subtler writing than that. I don't think it was intended to be so obvious, though. 2003 was a different time.
So, like, quick rundown on the plot of X2. Colonel William Stryker (in the comics he was a minister instead) is a bigot who wants to exterminate all mutants. His most vital asset in doing this is his "son", known only as "Mutant 143", or more often by her birth name, "Jason Stryker". Mutant 143 is a powerful psychic who can control people through dreamlike visions. William never accepted his child's mutation, and pulled her from Charles Xavier's school when he realized that Professor X had no intention of "curing" her. William blames his daughter for his wife's suicide; he had Mutant 143 lobotomized and began a plan to use her as a weapon against all other mutants.
And the thing is, Mutant 143 physically looks like this:
But like. Why wouldn't she, with that kind of dad? He has full power over her and has deliberately rendered her a dependent he can micromanage. I mean, Jesus Christ, the line I just randomly stumbled upon while opening and closing my media player to get that screencap was William Stryker saying
No, Charles, my son is dead! My son is dead, just like the rest of you.
Meanwhile, she consistently depicts herself in her psychic visions as this little girl:
And, like, okay, the extremely surface-level I-never-think-about-trans-people reading of that is that she's picking a "harmless" form to better insinuate herself into her targets' minds. But first off, the film never says that; it doesn't even really imply it. She doesn't pick different forms for different people; we only ever see her psychic ego as that little girl. Second off, her power doesn't really require her to put effort into seeming harmless to control people; the dream visions are more of an aesthetic flare on her power than they are a necessary mechanism. When she gets her psychic talons into someone, she can just directly command them to do whatever the fuck out-of-character thing and they'll do it regardless of plausibility. She's the classic cheesy horror trope of the scary possessed little girl, and frankly I don't think it would be any easier to get Professor X to kill all mutants on the orders of a little girl than a little boy.
She's been reduced to a shell of a person, but some element of personal identity still remains there. In her power. The thing she's being oppressed for.
This character doesn't receive a real name in canon. She gets two names from her shitty father: the dehumanization inherent in "Mutant 143" is fairly obvious and uncontroversial, but given everything I'm saying here, I don't think "Jason" is really better. She likely identifies with that name exactly insofar as she's been brainwashed into wanting her own kind dead.
It complicates things a bit that Professor X, another powerful psychic who would likely know her well, also calls her "Jason" a few times. But given the unfortunate circumstances of the film's plot... even if he knew, what else would he call her? She hasn't been fortunate enough in life to get a real name. It's not like, within the plot of the movie, stopping and pointing out what was going on would have been likely to help anything.
This is thematically important to the movie. Magneto certainly isn't meant to be right about everything, but there is a sympathetic throughline to him and his attitudes about the oppression of mutants. Earlier in the movie, he indicates that he sees mutants' cape names (like "Magneto") as their real names, and he encourages his allies to see themselves that way. The trans applicability here is fairly obvious; superheroes and supervillains make up their own names that make their marginalized status obvious. They can publicly identify with them to advertise their mutant status to the world instead of hiding behind ordinary names they were given by majority society.
This character, this properly unnamed character, never got anything like that. She never got to choose her own name. She was compelled by force to betray herself and commit to an external name that was entirely hostile to her.
Anyway, after the X-Men escape from her devious psychic maze they leave her behind in a collapsing building where she presumably dies because she's unable to move herself without assistance. Life sucks and shit happens. It was 2003.
Looking through relevant tags, I was able to find a few short posts discussing this idea, but I'm surprised that they're so sparse and I'm surprised that they treat the idea as so speculative. It really leapt out at me, watching the movie.

mari could have OCD - an analysis
Mari as a character is left mostly up to speculation by the player - which is partially a fault on the creators' part, but is also somewhat deliberate to allow for consumer projection and exploration. Because she's left so open, I want to explore a personal headcanon of mine - that Mari has OCD.
Disclaimer: This is my opinion! I may be wrong! I am a human and I am wrong sometimes! I do have OCD, but my experiences and how I write about them are not necessarily indicative of all people with OCD.
I want to pre-establish here that doing things that I market as "compulsive" is not necessarily compulsive behaviour, and it does not necessarily mean you experience OCD. The reality is, we can't know if Mari has OCD, or any disorder, because we don't get any insight into her mind. Cognition and thinking patterns are vital to a diagnosis of OCD. If you like to play the piano over and over again, you might just enjoy playing the piano. As with anything, if it's causing you distress, please seek a therapist!
Mari has three prevalent character traits that could potentially link to anxiety of some form - her perfectionism, tying into her compulsive piano playing; and her responsibility as the "mother" of the group. From these three traits, I think I can somewhat develop an argument for Mari having OCD.
Mari is a perfectionist; this is explicitly stated multiple times in the game. It's practically the only "negative" trait (or, rather, trait that comes with a downside) given to her, and despite that, it's still painted in a glorified light. It's somewhat implied that the recital day's events occurred due to this perfectionism, but we will discuss the piano playing later.
Now, OCD is not perfectionism, and mixing them up leads to horrific misinformation about the illness. But OCD can lead to perfectionism in specific instances. Let's say Mari believes if she doesn't play the recital perfectly, she'll be a failure and a terrible person. While it seems like an extreme jump between the two ideas, and it might feel so irrational to her, something in the back of her head just won't let that idea go. To feel more confident in her playing, she keeps playing it, over and over and over again. Every time she gains some confidence, she loses it just as fast, trapping her in a little cycle at that piano. In this case, we can see how an irrational intrusive thought could lead to perfectionistic tendencies in a person - and can see a rational cognitive explanation for Mari's behaviour.
I also want to talk about an aspect of OCD that isn't commonly spoken about - taking responsibility to an extreme extent. When we discuss mental disorders, we tend to talk about where they begin and how to treat them; but with disorders like OCD, it's actually important to consider how they continue. Everyone experiences intrusive thoughts, but there are several factors that increase the likelihood of believing them. One of them is the idea that one must take responsibility for their own intrusive thoughts - "if something bad is going to happen, I have to be the one to fix it".
Some people are naturally very self-reliant, and this can be for a number of reasons. I see this in Mari in the responsibility she holds over her brother and her friend group - she's the pinnacle of their rationality, keeping an eye on them (even in Headspace, which mimics some reality), and she's the one to save Sunny from drowning during the day of the Phobias' creation. Mari is fifteen, but holds so much pressure to monitor her friends, so it's not impossible to believe that worrying over her brother would cause intrusive thoughts. OCD is sometimes exacerbated after traumatic experiences, and having to save your younger brother from drowning is a lot to go through. Maybe she became more overprotective later on - not that I really have any evidence for that, since we don't have the most lucid perspective on Mari throughout the game.
I don't really have any way to reasonably conclude this, but I will say, I can recognise that a lot of this is projection. I have OCD. It's very difficult to see representation of complex OCD in media, since it's so hard to convey what intrusive thoughts and unobvious compulsions feel like, so it's nice to be able to give it to a character. But I feel like it has some basis in the real game, and could genuinely provide an interesting headcanon for people to use.
I dunno. You tell me.
Oh right, I forgot to mention. I wrote about this headcanon here. I'm pretty proud of the fic, so, I'd appreciate people checking it out if they're interested.

also for the people who have not engaged in my roleplay blog i'll tell you about my cranboo origin headcanon.
ranboo starts off as a completely normal enderman. he isn't special in any way. because of this, cdream decides hes the perfect candidate for his next way at trying to gain power over the server: dreamons.
i never explicitly say how he gets the dreamon dna, but after kidnapping ranboo, he slowly starts injecting dreamon dna into ranboo and testing the results in an underground lab far away (not the same one cranboo makes in the stronghold).
i personally envision dreamons looking a lot like the amalgams in undertale and it also kind of connects that stupidass blob to server canon. they can shift and morph into anyone which fits into the actual canon dreamon hunters, and so it's easy for the dreamon half of ranboo to mimic an enderman, though it remains the ghostly white. it removes some of ranboos enderman traits such as teleporting- i imagine by shutting off their body's ability to make pearls- and warps a few other traits, like silk touch applying to a lot more than just grass and glass. (because there's not much at all in the actual dreamon lore i can kind of do whatever i want and so i will.)
this is when the enderwalk forms: a version of ranboo who remembers everything that happened to them and whos job is to protect them from dream using any means necessary, even doing things they really don't want to do. it's all about survival. (this is why the enderwalk has such a connection to dream and why he later does things for him that cranboo would never do.)
he gets around halfway through before ranboo breaks out, and makes a beeline for the main server with dream chasing after him. this is where we get to ranboos day 1 stream. in the beginning of the stream, ranboo spawns in and has no memory of anything before the server, and thus does not remember dream. because dream is hunting ranboo to kill his failed project, this explains why dream immediately takes out two of his canon lives right at the start of the server.
in the stream though, ranboo makes it to the holy land, and dream can't kill him. he meets niki and a bunch of other server members, and has cemented his place in the server. so instead, dream decides to see if maybe his little experiment actually has some use, and as a pure survival tactic, the enderwalk helps dream, even if he really really doesn't want to.
what i really like about this is it makes ranboo ordinary, and i think that makes it all the more impactful. i like trying to think of a reason that the enderwalk helps dream despite clearly wanting to protect the people he cares about, and so i think having him act as a morally dubious protector makes a lot of sense. i also think it explains dream immediately taking two of ranboos lives in the first stream and why they have to run for their life right off the bat. also it contributes to the weird experimentation thing cdream has later on. who's to say he hasn't done this before?
#text#i think for organizational purposes im gonna maintag it and put it in my beeduo tag#cranboo#beeduo posting
