pt remus and medic reader becoming the mum and dad of the hockey team
YES
PT!Remus Lupin x team medic!reader who don't have favourites [681 words]
CW: hockey, NHL players being large sulky babies, PT + medic being tired af of them all (affectionately)
“Whoa whoa whoa, where the fuck do you think you’re going, Fenzy?” You demanded as you stepped into Benjy Fenwick’s way, causing a near domino-esque collision as the guys behind him were forced to come to a stop in their trek down the shoot towards the ice.
“Uhm…practice?” Fenwick answered in the form of a question, and Sirius craned his neck to see what the hold up was to see your brows pinch in disbelief.
“Fat fuckin’ chance; go sit down.”
“But doc-”
“Fenwick, you have a concussion, I said you were benched.” You pressed as you stepped aside, dragging Fenwick with you by the fabric of his practice jersey to let some of the guys carry on even though he completely towered over you in his skates.
“I thought that meant for games!” Fenwick whined.
“It’ll mean indefinitely if you don’t go get your kit off.” You threatened severely, and Fenwick let out a theatrical groan before he turned and muttered profanities under his breath as he stormed back towards the locker room.
“If you’re playing bad doc today, does that mean Lupin’s playing good doc?” Sirius quipped as he made his way toward you, only to hear Remus - already out on the bench overlooking the players warming up - shouting at Viktor Krum.
“I can see you tensing from here, Krum! So I’m gonna ask again, and I want the fucking truth: is that hip still bothering you!?”
“Is only sore when go down, Loops!” Krum called back.
“Well what good is a goalie going down if he can’t get back up again, Krum?”
You let out a sigh as you walked out of the shoot with Sirius to find Remus leaning against the boards like he was about ready to hop them himself as he shouted across the rink, and James who was standing on the ice watching the exchange with a look of morbid fascination.
“They’re gonna be the death of me, L/N, the death of me.” Remus muttered in disbelief as he kept his gaze locked on his problematic goalie.
“Well I just caught Fenz trying to sneak onto the ice.” You grumbled back as you stepped up onto the bench, Remus finally breaking his gaze to look at you incredulously.
“I thought you said he had a concussion?”
“He does have a concussion.”
“That son of a bitch!” Remus nearly shrilled, earning him an almost smile from you.
“Kids these days, am I right?” James offered from his place on the ice, leaning heavily against one skate as he rested both gloves on the top of his stick, and his chin on his gloves.
“That’s why we’re mom and dad’s favourite, Potts.” Sirius added with a wink as he skated by and tapped his stick to James’ ass.
“You do those stretches I asked of you, Black, then we’ll talk about favourites, yeah?” Remus called out to him, causing Sirius to let out a nervous squeak as he took off quickly down the ice.
A couple of drills later, James came and sat heavily on the bench in front of you, taking a few deep breaths and squirting gatorade into his mouth before turning to look at you. “Who is your favourite, doc?”
“I don’t have favourites, Potter.” You offered simply as you continued watching the players on the ice.
“Please.” Sirius argued as he climbed over the boards, nearly spilling onto the bench beside James. “Every mother has favourites.”
“Not when she’s parenting a bunch of sods.” You grumbled, causing everyone on the bench to let out varying sounds of protest.
“That’s rude, mom. You’re rude.” James lamented, earning him a swat up the back of the helmet from Remus.
“Don’t speak to your mother that way.” Remus scolded earnestly; his lips quirking only when he heard your snort of laughter from behind him.
“I hate when they gang up on us like this.” Sirius murmured to James.
“You thinking what I’m thinking?”
“Cling-wrapping their office later?”
James held out his fist as he nodded at his friend and teammate. “Cling-wrapping their office later.”

Illness
@wolfstarmicrofic | Word count: 440
"No, Mom, I don’t want Sirius to come!" Remus shouted again, shaking his head vigorously. His mom had been insisting all week that Sirius should be invited to his sixth birthday party. But mom didn’t understand... mom just didn’t know...
"Remus... did you two have a fight?" she asked softly, her gaze full of concern. Remus shook his head, his frustration evident.
"No. We didn’t fight. I just... don’t want him near me."
His mom studied him closely, trying to grasp the underlying issue. After a moment, she knelt to meet his eye level.
"You know you can talk to me about anything, sweetheart. If Sirius did something to make you uncomfortable, or said something—"
"It’s not that," he interrupted, staring at the floor. He took a shaky breath. "It’s just... he makes me feel sick."
His mom's brow furrowed in confusion. "Sick? What do you mean?"
Remus pressed his lips into a thin line, avoiding her gaze. "Every time he looks at me, every time he touches me or stands close... I feel like my stomach is full of butterflies. My heart races, and it’s hard to breathe. It’s like I’m going to explode."
Her eyes softened with understanding. She took his small hand in hers, squeezing it gently. "Remus, sweetheart, I think what you’re feeling isn’t an illness."
He finally looked up at her, his eyes wide with confusion. "What is it, then?"
She smiled warmly, her gaze full of compassion. "I think you’re just in love."
Remus’s eyes widened in shock. "But—he’s a boy! Mom, no! I can’t be in love with a boy!"
She brushed a stray lock of hair from his face. "Love doesn’t concern itself with those details, Remus. It finds us in ways we don’t always understand at first."
"But—what do I do now? I don’t want to feel this way all the time."
She pulled him into a gentle embrace. "You don’t have to do anything right now. Just let yourself feel what you feel. It’s okay to be confused. You’re still very young, and things will become clearer as you grow older."
Remus nodded into her shoulder, a mixture of relief and ongoing confusion swirling within him. "Okay. I guess he can come to the party."
She pulled back to look at him, her face lighting up with a broad smile. "I’m so glad you’re okay with it. His mother called me this morning to tell me he’s been crying all week because you invited James but not him. He’s had your gift ready for a month."
And for some reason, that made Remus’s heart race again and those butterflies return.

i'm regulus, the superior black brother
16 y/o
trans - he/him
slytherin
i like art and latin.
name/username breakdown:
regulus is the star at the heart of the leo constellation, and also the brightest in it. also known as "the heart of the lion." it is a latin word meaning "little king," the reg part coming from the word for king- rex- and ulus being a diminutive suffix, indicating something small in size, or youth.
sidereus is a latin adjective meaning "of the stars." some etymologists believe it is connected to the greek word for iron- σίδηρος- meaning iron. they sound similar, as well as the greek word having connection to the english word for iron meteorites, siderites. these are all just theories, but it is quite interesting to me!
if you read all that kudos to you
tl;dr, regulus means "little king" and sidereus means "of the stars"

Can we talk about the fact that Severus Snape left everyone, both the characters and the readers, like this: 🤡🤡
I mean, no one knew wtf was going on with him. One moment u think he's bad, the next u think he's good. And then u think he's the villain again. But then he gives his memories to Harry and we all realize that he was the fucking hero all along.
In hp1, we think it's Snape who was trying to steal the philosopher's stone, or who tried to knock Harry off his broom. But then comes the end, and we find out that he stopped Harry from falling (saved his life) and was protecting the stone...🤡
We still hated him in hp 2 and 3...
In hp4 Harry suspects that Snape had the Dark Mark, and ends up discovering that he did. There's even the scene that Harry sees: Igor Karkaroff accuses Snape in court in front of the Wizengamot, saying he was a Death Eater, and we're all like😯😃 (finally know the truth!!). But then Dumbledore defends him😐🧍🏻♀️, and no one, not Karkaroff, not Harry, not us readers, understand anything. We don't know whether to trust him or not. So, again...🤡
In hp5 everything is confusing with him. We don't know if he wants to help Harry (occlumency lessons) or not. He calls Voldemort "Dark Lord" (only Death Eaters do), we see his worst memory, which, again, leaves us bewildered and not knowing what the hell to think of him now. Harry himself doubts that his father was a good person, even wondering if James didn't force Lily to marry him, and empathizes with Snape. Then the whole thing with the prophecies, and Harry trying to warn Snape about Sirius and his supposed kidnapping. The Order arrives to save Harry and his friends, which suggests that Snape warned them.
But along comes hp and the Half-Blood Prince, Snape appears to be helping Draco Malfoy with what the Lord entrusted him with —The scene where Bellatrix accuses him, tells him that she doesn't trust him, and then she is surprised:
In the books:
[...]Do you really think that the Dark Lord has not asked me each and every one of those questions? And do you really think that, had I not been able to give satisfactory answers, I would be sitting here talking to you?”
She hesitated. “I know he believes you, but…”
“You think he is mistaken? Or that I have somehow hoodwinked him? Fooled the Dark Lord, the greatest wizard, the most accomplished Legilimens the world has ever seen?”
[...]
“And through all this we are supposed to believe Dumbledore has never suspected you?” asked Bellatrix. “He has no idea of your true allegiance, he trusts you implicitly still?”
“I have played my part well,” said Snape.
In the movies:
The line where he says “Dumbledore is a great wizard”, Snape is actually being smug and subtly saying he’s such a good actor (I mean, come on, the man deserves a fucking Oscar), he’s managed to deceive Voldemort so well that he has revealed his grand plan to him. He practically seems to be laughing at the double meaning of his own words, mocking and lying to the black sister's faces like the fucking boss he is. The way he's literally drinking a glass of wine while laughing at the Dark Lord. The whole scene is just excellent.
So at the end of hp6, Snape reveals to us that he was the half-blood prince for whom the fucking book is named, ends up murdering none other than ALBUS DUMBLEDORE, and we all learn that all this time his true loyalties were with the dark side...🤡
Oh no, wait! Hp7 arrives, Voldemort kills Snape :0 (Yes!), gives his memories to Harry, and Harry sees his memories and... (NOO😦😨😰😭💔💀). We found out he wasn't the bad guy. That, in fact, he was IN LOVE WITH HARRY'S MOM —"always" still hurts :')— That all this time he was our ally...🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
He practically played with all of us, with LORD VOLDEMORT, the Death Eaters, the Order of the Phoenix, Harry... well, WITH EVERYONE IN THE ENTIRE WIZARDING WORLD. And he did it as if he were:
Harry fucking Potter named one of his sons after him, which must have made a lot of people roll in their graves (James and Sirius out of anger, Snape out of laughter).
This mf literally woke up one day and said: "okay, here begins my reputation era bitches.😎 Let's leave a few of them looking like🤡🤡"
PD: Sorry if something is written wrong, english is not my language.

You’re about to take a sip from your cup when your wrist is gripped by a strong hand, stopping it from reaching your mouth.
“You have no idea what’s in there.”
“Hi, Jamie,” you shoot him a smile, warm and loose all over from the drinks you’ve already had. “Sure I do. It’s a rum and coke. Pretty straightforward, actually.”
“He means,” Remus says, prying your fingers from around the cup and setting it on the bar, “that you probably weren’t watching to see if anyone slipped something into it, and unfortunately for you, we weren’t here to do it for you.”
You don’t have to look around to know Sirius will be here as well, your three bodyguards relentless and nearly impossible to shake. Still, you’re a bit proud you’d managed to get free for a little over an hour tonight. That’s not an easy task.
“No one here is going to drug me,” you say, though you know that’s not strictly true, and you go on before one of them can contradict you. “How’d you find me anyway?”
James gives you a deadpan look, the closest thing you ever get to anger from him. “If we told you, you’d just figure out how to get around it next time.” He sets a hand on your shoulder, pushing you gently away from the bar. “Come on, let’s go home.”
“I don’t want to go home,” you say, and despite your best intentions, your voice comes out with a petulant edge. “Why can’t we stay here?”
“You know very well you’re allowed to go out,” Remus says as he and James steer you towards the exit. “But we haven’t had time to look around this place, and you’re supposed to be studying at Kate’s.”
“So this is a punishment.” It’s not a question, but Sirius answers you anyway, draping an arm around your shoulders as you meet him by the door.
“Yes, it is,” he says lightly. “You almost killed Remus tonight, doll, and attempted murder deserves a time-out at the very least.”
Even whilst scolding you, Sirius’ voice is teasing. Between the three of them, you know he’s the least upset with you. He might be a bit frustrated, sure, but he seems to also harbor a tiny bit of respect or understanding for what he calls your ill-timed rebellious phase. Though to be fair, you’d never had much cause for rebellion before your mom had forced a security detail upon you. You were used to doing whatever you wanted, and what you wanted had never seemed so wild until one day you needed permission to go outside and your privacy was blown to smithereens.
You step out into the cool night air, and Sirius rubs your upper arm when you shiver. Remus leads you all towards the parking lot, and you’re secretly glad to be able to get into a warm car even if you’re still stubbornly yearning for the mundanity of the bus.
“I know you think of running off as trying to get back some sort of freedom,” James says, and his voice is gentler now if not quite friendly, “but it’s not going to feel like freedom if while you’re off by yourself one of your mom’s…critics,” he decides, using the most delicate term possible, “takes the opportunity to kidnap you.”
“Or kill you.” Remus says gruffly, his posture extra-stiff as he scans the parking lot, eyes skimming over every dark corner and potentially occupied vehicle.
“Their issue is with her, not me,” you sigh, somewhere between frustrated and resigned. “You should be protecting her.”
“She’s got her own detail,” Remus reminds you. “And it wouldn’t be the first time extremists have targeted a politician’s family to get at them.”
You’re silent at that, and the boys let you stew in it, the memory of your mother’s face when she’s gotten the news that her coworker’s son had been killed in their home. She’d grieved for her friend that day, but her panic had been for herself. For you.
“We’ve got to find a way around this need to escape, angel,” James says, opening the door to the backseat and offering you a hand in. You nod hello to Marcus, your mom’s driver, whose duties have apparently been extended to picking you up when you go “missing” for an hour or two. Sirius gets in on your other side, Remus taking the passenger seat. “Are we really so awful to be around?”
“No,” you say, though you know the question was meant in jest. They deserve to know anyway. “You guys are great. It’s your job that’s the problem.”
“Unfortunately, it’s still our job,” Remus says, turning around to fix you with a look. It works, and you shrink in your seat. Remus is such a kind, gentle soul, especially considering his profession, so when he focuses his disapproval like this, it always leaves you feeling thoroughly shamed. “Every time you slip off, we have to act as if you’ve been kidnapped, even if we know better. And you very well could be kidnapped. You just—” He shakes his head, and guilt sprouts, winding and thorny, in your gut. “—I don’t think you understand the danger you’re putting yourself in when you do this.”
You nod, forcing yourself to look him in the eye so he knows you’re really listening. “I’m sorry. I’ll…” you sigh, indignation eating at you even as you give in. “I’ll try to work with you guys more.”
“That’s all we’re asking, sweetheart,” James says, bumping your shoulder with his lightly, and you know you’re at least mostly forgiven.
“For tonight,” Sirius drawls, “are you going to actually stay in your room, or is one of us going to have to tie you to the bed?” He winks. “Because if you need me to, I can totally do that, dollface.”

Moonwater Microfic:
TW: Some violence and semi graphic descriptions
Words: 532
Remus ran down the hallway to find his best friend’s younger brother, Regulus sitting on the floor of the hallway, covered in fresh bruises and cuts. Remus had been watching the map all night, it had become a habit. It was summer break but Dumbledore had been nice enough to let him stay for those few months due to his condition.
“Where’s Sirius?”Remus asked as he crouched down in front of Regulus and used the sleeve of his sweater to wipe the drop of blood running down Regulus’ lip from his chin.
“He went to the Potters’. He begged me to come with but I knew it’d be a shitty idea. So I came here.”
“Castle’s empty and I can’t do-”
“Remus, the shit’ll heal on it’s own.”
“Then why’d you come here instead?”
Instead of responding out loud, Regulus leaned forward and kissed the taller boy. Remus blushed and grabbed Regulus’ torn jacket in his hands for dear life as he kissed back. Regulus sat back against the wall a moment later, clutching his broken ribs sighing in pain.
“Oh…”Remus muttered. “C’mon. You should at least get some rest.”
“Rem-”
“We’ll talk about this later. You’ll bleed out.”
“Alright, alright.”
Remus got up and picked Regulus up bridal-style as gently as he could. Regulus rested his head against the werewolf boy’s chest.
“So you only came back to school because you wanted to see me? Other than the injuries, of course.”Remus asked as he carried Regulus to the Gryffindor dorms.
“I just thought… Well… Things are better when you’re around, okay?”
“How so?”
“For some reason when you’re in my general vicinity I feel less like everything could just fall apart.”
“And the kiss was for?”
“You overthink everything and I guarantee that for those few seconds, you didn’t.”
Remus flushed. “Well, you’re hurt. I really can’t help it.”
Regulus laughed at that. Remus blushed harder as he carried Regulus into the Marauders’ dorm and laid the younger Slytherin on his bed.
“Get some rest, Reg. You’re delirious and you’ve clearly lost a lot of blood.”Remus said as he sat down in the windowsill across from the end of his bed and picked up a book.
“Because my mom’s an ass. I’m fine, I promise.”
“What’d she even get after you for?”
“Pretending to be… ugh… you’ll hate me too, nevermind.”
“Because you ARE trans and gay?”
“You know?”
“I mean, we hang out a lot. So after a while I noticed a lot of things.”
“And you don’t hate me?”
“Why would I?”
“Because it’s… I was just sure you would.”
Remus shook his head and got up from his seat. Regulus sat up and rested against the pillows. Remus leaned down and kissed Regulus.
“I can’t hate you, I care too much for that. Please get some rest though.”Remus whispered.
“I can’t hate you either, Lupin. Can you lay down? Might help me sleep.”
“Yeah, yeah. Of course.”
Remus laid down beside the other boy and rested his head on the pillows. Regulus turned over and rested his head on the brunette’s chest. Remus held the boy gently, being sure not to hurt him.

Chapter 13: “Rebel, Rebel.”
October, 22nd (Friday)
A week after the incident, your mom had already sent your old Viper, but the Nimbus company had yet to respond to your letter. You’d gotten used to your older broom pretty fast. Muscle memory must really be a thing, since the moment you mounted it, it was like you’d been doing it forever.
James was right, the Viper was a lot more stable than other brooms. More than Sirius’ SweepFire, and probably more than the Dark Nimbus itself. But it was slower, you’d already gotten used to the fast accelerations your Dark Nimbus had, and now you had to be extra attentive of the ball so you could make a move before it had enough time to get past you and onto one of the goals. Regardless of the slowness, the Viper was sturdier and heavier, which made it easier to do tricks like the backflip people still wouldn’t stop talking about. Last Tuesday you’d even attempted to surf on it, and you managed to do perfectly fine for a couple of meters until James spotted you and gave you the longest talk about being responsible and not doing stupid things, the hypocrite. But he was on captain mode and when he got on that mood it was absolutely useless to talk him out of it, so you nodded and promised you wouldn’t do it again, even if you probably would at some point.
You told Lily about dating Sirius as soon as you were feeling better, she asked you so many questions, from how it’d happen to how good were Sirius’ kisses. She had been told he was really good by a girl back in 5th year, and she wanted to know if it was true or if the girl was just obsessed with Sirius like most girls in school. You omitted the fact that you probably were just as obsessed with him as they were and confirmed that Sirius was indeed a good kisser, not that you’d kissed all that many people before, but still. The rest of your friends had slowly found out about your new relationship, be it for the way Sirius sat next to you a lot more often now, because his teasing and flirting had gotten a lot stronger. Or, in the case of Tom, because he’d accidentally found you snogging on an empty classroom, at least he just gave you a thumbs up, a cheeky smile, and whispered something like “Keep it going guys! You’re doing great”. Both you and Sirius had separated to laugh about it when Tom closed the door.
“You ready?” Sirius asked with a smile, pulling you from your thoughts. You looked at him with a daring face.
You know that thing you were told not to do a couple of days ago and you promised you wouldn’t? Well, that promise lasted exactly 4 days, 3 hours and a couple of minutes. James was busy with an essay he’d forgotten about, and you and Sirius had gone flying together, and unfortunately, neither of you had a clear enough sense of self-preservation when you were around each other. Especially not after someone said, “I dare you to…”
You were slowly standing over your broom, hands extended to try and keep your balance. Neither of you was flying too high, that way if you fell you wouldn’t get too hurt. Once you had managed to maintain your balance you nodded “Ready,” you said with a wink, and the two of you started broom surfing, picking up speed as you glided through the open fields of the school. As you were about to reach the finish line, you realized the grass was moving in a funny way right in front of you, and you frowned.
“Hey Sirius I think–“ you started, but it was too late, something had yanked both of your brooms down and caused you to tumble down to the grass. You’d fallen over and rolled a couple of meters while he’d fallen over something, or rather someone. As you looked up you realized he was right on top of Remus, who had popped out of nowhere (probably the invisibility cloak). As the two of them sorted themselves out you stood up quickly and looked around, spitting some of the grass that had gotten inside your mouth. And then you spotted them, Barty Crouch and Evan Rosier, hiding behind a stone wall. You took your wand out and pointed it at them. Evan seemed to pull back but Barty just smiled wickedly “The fuck is wrong with you?” You roared, already walking towards where they stood.
Barty walked head high towards you too “You saw them fall, Evan? It was hilarious!”
“Fall? You must be bIoody delusional if you think you’re going to trick me with that! I felt the way my broom was yanked down.”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said with a smile “Do you Evan?”
Evan shook his head, as if Barty needed a sidekick to be vile.
“You’re begging for me to break your stupid nose again,” you replied as you looked at him impassively.
“I’d like to see you try,” he said smugly.
You pointed your wand at his face, but Remus stood in front of you, calmly placing his hand over the one you used to hold your wand and pushing it down a little, to prompt you to do it yourself.
Sirius stood still next to Remus, looking at Barty with hate, but keeping a strong grip on his wand.
“Remus what the–“
“–He’s provoking you,” he told you calmly “he wants you to react.”
“Yeah, well maybe I want to react,” you retorted, now slightly irritated at your friend’s actions. He just looked at you, shook his head calmly and softly ran his thumb over your forearm, still pushing it lightly down. If anyone knew about anger management it was Remus Lupin.
“Hey,” he said softly, looking at you straight in the eye, trying to get you to focus on him, rather than on Barty looking at you cockily from behind “Look at me luv,” he cooed, you looked at him for a second but turned your eyes back to Barty “I’m fine, Pads’s fine, you’re fine. There is no need to fight.”
“You could’ve gotten hurt, we could’ve–“
“–Listen to me. Don’t give him the satisfaction of rilling you up. You don’t want him to be the cause of Gryffindor losing points, do you? That’s probably why he’s–“
“–yeah, go ahead (Y/N), listen to your boyfriends, they know what’s best,” Evan taunted from behind, you clenched your jaw. But took a deep breath, finally lowering your wand. Maybe you should’ve put him in his place then and then, how different would things have ended up if you actually had?
“You know what Barty? Remus is right, you aren’t even worth my time.” You said standing straighter “At least be more creative with your petty jokes next time, all right? Maybe then you’d at least keep me entertained.” Then you turned around and used your wand to pull both yours and Sirius’ broom to your hands and walked back to the castle, lagging just a second so Sirius and Remus would walk by your side.
“I want to strangle him,” you told them once you thought the two Slytherins were out of earshot.
“You and me both,” Sirius agreed, taking his broom from your hands, but lingering as his fingers brushed over yours “I probably would have, had Remus not stopped me first.” You looked at him for a moment and then recalled, Sirius was still on top of Remus because of the fall when you speed-walked towards the two Slytherin boys. “And he’s right, the last thing we want is to start an open war in between us and his stupid gang.”
“But they already started it, we’re just not doing anything about it.” You reproached, still a little riled up, the urge to punch Barty was wearing you thin, “Anyway, I do not want to have detention while everyone’s enjoying themselves at the Halloween party next week.”
Remus smiled “How do you know about that?”
“Tom and Beth told me all about the party you guys always plan together, I’m already preparing my costume.”
“Is it gonna be a sexy Halloween costume, luv?” Sirius chimed in, leaning towards you with a little smirk on his face.
You pushed him back playfully “Ugh… don’t be such a dog!”
Remus laughed at that, “I’m sure you’d look pretty even in a sack of potatoes.”
“Yeah, in a very short one,” Sirius teased even further.
“If only my boyfriend was as much of a gentleman as his friend here,” you said with a playful sight.
“You clearly don’t know Moony’s dark side,” Sirius chimed.
You arched your eyebrows at that “And you do?”
Sirius was about to respond when Beth showed up, looking a bit agitated as If she had been running “There you are!” She said as she stood in front of the three “Professor Spellman wants to see us earlier today, something about a special announcement.”
You frowned “Right now?” You asked. She nodded.
“But we haven’t eaten!” Sirius complained.
“I don’t think it’ll take too much,” Beth said with a shrug, “But it did seem rather urgent.”
You nodded and the four of you started walking towards the North Tower. When you arrived, you realized they hadn’t exclusively called your class, in fact, the entire school year had somehow crammed inside the classroom. There were barely any sits left, when Tom saw Beth, he quickly waved to her and she went to sit besides him. You scanned the room and found only one table free, you rolled your eyes when you realized Evan and a Slytherin girl from his year whose name slipped your mind were sitting behind it. You looked at Sirius and pointed at the only free spot with a nudge of your head.
He rolled his eyes but the three of you walked towards the table, the boys pushed the two chairs together and you squeezed in between the two. Leaning ahead a little so they could accommodate their larger backs onto the chair. Sirius had placed his hand on your tight under the table, and you gave him a look, “I’m gonna fall if I don’t grab onto something,” he said with an innocent smile.
“Yeah, sure enough, Puppy,” you replied playfully.
“Hm… that’s the fifth from this week,” he said as he squeezed your tight.
Then you felt something pull your hair from behind. You turned around pissed and Evan was smiling “What? Did I ruin your cuddle time with your two boyfriends?”
You looked at him, but smirked “Why, you jelly?” You asked but didn’t give him enough time to reply, “You should know by now that my cuddle time knows no bounds. It's an exclusive club with a very long waiting list. But don't worry, I can squeeze you in somewhere between Tuesdays and never."
Evan’s face turned sour while Sirius looked at you with a proud smirk and Remus laughed, chest rumbling behind you. He was about to retaliate when Professor Spellman walked in. So you decided to piss him off even further “Shh honey…” you said as condescendingly as possible “Teacher’s about to speak,” finally you turned around with a smirk.
Remus gave you a side eye and placed his hand, palm facing up, just above your lap, raising his eyebrows, you understood what he meant in a second and high-fived him instantly, giving him a wink before leaning over the desk a little, to give the two boys some space.
When Spellman finally reached his desk, he gave you a stern look “Miss (Y/LN), why are you sitting between Mr. Black and Mr. Lupin?”
“There was nowhere else to sit,” you replied, motioning to the crammed classroom “I can sit on the floor if you want though.”
The Professor sighed but nodded, “That won’t be necessary, this won’t take too long,” he said, before waving his wand and letting a long banner unroll from the ceiling over the chalkboard.
It read: The Moon and the Stars
“As some of you who keep up with the astral cycle may know, next Sunday is full moon,” Spellman said, you felt Remus tense behind you, which made you frown, but the professor kept talking, and you ended up shrugging it off “And not only that, but a very interesting phenomenon will also occur, it will be a bIood moon, which makes it the perfect moment for an astrology class,” He said with a proud smile “You will all be excused from today’s class in exchange for 2 hours of your Sunday night.” There was a mix of groans and cheers in the classroom, from those who were happy about not having class, and those who were upset about having class on a Sunday “Class will start at 10 pm,” Spellman continued, not giving the children time to protest “bring your notebooks and telescopes, those who have their own. We will meet in the Astronomy tower. Any questions?”
A Ravenclaw boy raised his hand “What happens if we can’t make it?”
“I highly doubt you’ll have anything better to do on Sunday night Mr. Finchley,” the professor responded sassily. Remus, who looked like he wanted to say something, decided to let it go, and sank back on the chair. The professor waited a couple more seconds, to see if anyone else had a question, but upon no one’s answer he clapped his hands together “Excellent, you’re excused now. See you on Sunday.”
Sirius was the first one to stand up, letting you out through his side, while Remus seemed to be a little troubled. Your boyfriend placed a hand over his shoulder “It’s ok mate, we’ll figure it out,” he told him. You looked at the exchange with curiosity but it dissipated the moment Lily appeared out of nowhere and hooked her arm around yours.
“The girls and I are going to go prepare some droughts at the potions classroom now, hair and grooming stuff, you said you wanted to brew a special something for your Halloween costume, yeah?”
You nodded, Sirius raised an eyebrow “Special something?”
You smiled in response “If you guess it, I’ll give you a prize,” you said confidently, he would not guess your Halloween costume, even if he tried a thousand times.
“Anything I want?” He asked suggestively.
You laughed in response “Sure Puppy, anything you want,” you told him before walking out with Lily, the girls were waiting just outside the door.
“That was the 6th!” You heard Sirius say from behind.
Lily raised an eyebrow “What’s that all about,” she asked. You giggled in response “Let’s just say dear Sirius and I have a bit of an arrangement, I can call him Puppy whenever I want, but he gets some kisses in return.”
She laughed at your answer “Why aren’t I surprised?”
You shrugged with a smile, finally catching up with the girls “You wanted to make a glow potion, right?” Mary asked, “Like the one Marlene drank on her birthday?”
“Yup, I think I’ve got all the ingredients ready too,” you told her, checking the little rattan bag inside your backpack where you’d been placing all the necessary stuff.
Lily gave a small peak to the bag and frowned “I don’t think you’ve got glow-weed yet.”
Tom, who seemed to have shown up out of nowhere started to walk by Lily’s side “Why do you need weed?”
You laughed “Glow-weed,” Beth corrected “not weed, weed.”
“Hmmm… that’s not as fun.” He said, scrunching his nose a little “What for?”
“(Y/N’s) Halloween Costume,” Marlene answered casually.
“Oh, you’re gonna be a fairy or something?” He asked excitedly.
You paled at that and turned to him wide-eyed “If you tell Sirius Black about it, I’ll strangle you.”
“Cheeky,” he replied, leaning closer to you, which made you roll your eyes and push him back.
“Please don’t tell Sirius?”
“Why?”
“She promised Sirius a prize if he guessed. She specifically said anything he wanted,” Lily chimed in.
Tom looked at Lily and then turned his gaze back to you, impressed “So really cheeky then.”
“Toooom!” You whined.
“My lips are sealed,” he said, passing a hand over them as if he was zipping them and then placing his hand over his chest. How dramatic, you thought, but then again, you were the one dating Sirius Black, so who were you to judge?
“Why didn’t you just tell him about your costume?” Asked Beth.
You sighed “He was going on and on about sexy Halloween costumes, he would not stop bothering me if I did.” You responded simply, by then you were already outside the potions classroom. Professor Slughorn was in his office, and Lily had been the one inside and asked for permission to enter. He was more than happy to let you guys in to practice potions that he even gave Lily the key to the ingredients room, giving you free rein to use whatever you might need.
When Lily came out, shaking the key in her hand with a smile Marlene rolled her eyes “Teacher’s pet,” she teased.
“Maybe,” she said with a shrug “but, I just got our hands on the Ingredients Supply, and Slughorn said we could take whatever we wanted.”
“Sweet!” Said Tom as he took the keys from Lily’s hands and led all the way to the ingredients room. He took out a little paper from his pocket and started looking for some stuff, all the while you tried to find some of that glow-weed.
When you finally found it you looked at the combination of stuff he’d placed in his basket and narrowed your eyes at him in suspicion “That’s not for beauty products is it?”
He shook his head with a little smirk “I’m working on a little something,” he said, “also for the Halloween party.”
You raised your eyebrow, looking at the stuff he’d gathered so far “Essence of Laughing Lily, Blissberry Extract, Frolic Fizzweed Leaves, Lavender Essence, are you by any chance making–“
He shook his head and placed a finger over your mouth “–Shhhhh! If Lily busts us, we won’t be having any fun.”
You smiled complicity “Well then, keep working on your little magical project,” you said, and then leaned in closer to whisper “If you add Moonstone Shimmer, you can make the potion a bit more potent overall.” You raised your eyebrows and winked before walking back to the table on which you’d be working. Marlene was next to you, and she’d set herself to prepare a special hand cream since the weather was getting colder.
Beth was working on an enchanting hair serum that she’d run out of. And Lily said she was working on a “perfect curls potion,” also for the Halloween party.
“Would you mind borrowing me some of that on the Halloween party?” You asked her when she told you what she was working on.
She nodded “In fact, I’m making a lot extra,” she replied with a smile “To keep a stash on our bathroom.”
“You’re brilliant!” You told her with a smile.
“I’m working on some radiant complexion elixir, also for our bathroom,” Mary said. “We’re giving some of our stuff to Beth and she’s gonna borrow some of her hair stuff. We’ll all be stocked up in beauty products?”
“And you do this all the time?” You asked with a smile.
“A couple times a year, yeah,” said Marlene from her table.
“Genious, can I help with anything?”
“I was actually thinking of using some of your glow potion and add it to the one I’m making, for glowier hair,” Beth told you, you smiled and nodded.
“Oh, that would look amazing!” You agreed, “A bit on the radiant complexion would probably work wonders too.”
“Yes, it would!” Lily said with a nod. “And what are you working on Tom?” She asked, turning to the boy.
He turned to her like a deer trapped in headlights, and then crossed his eyes over at you, pleading for help “After shave lotion, right?” You said casually “So that the shave lasts longer, you mentioned?”
He nodded “Ye– yeah… I heard Remus complain about his freshly shaved face lasting nothing, and I thought, same mate. Decided to do something about it.”
You kept a tight smile as you gave him a look. Tom was a shitty liar. “Right! I’m sure that recipe James got you from Fleamont will be brilliant.” Tom nodded and went back to his preparations.
“Why would you need Frolic Fizzweed Leaves for an aftershave lotion?” Lily asked, more to herself than to the rest.
You shrugged “Must be one of those secret Potter family tricks,” you said with a shrug, and then smiled when you concluded it would be the perfect time to tease your friend “I’m sure if you married Potter your in-laws would be more than happy to tell you all about them.”
Lily gave you a reproachful look, but Marlene added to the conversation “It’d be great, that way they could get back the potion-making talent they lost on with James.”
“James isn’t bad at potions!” She said with a shrug, not quite thinking before she spoke.
Your smile grew “Really? Tell us all about your boy’s talents.”
“He’s not my boy.”
“Pretty sure he is, at least in his point of view,” added Tom as he mixed some things in his cauldron.
“Why don’t you guys tease (Y/N) with Sirius instead?” Lily said as she chopped some of her ingredients with a bit of a frown.
“They’re dating already, what is there to tease them about?” Mary said with a shrug, “If you want us to stop teasing you, you should just date Potter.”
You all laughed at that, but no one continued to tease poor Lily any further. As you went back to your table next to Marlene, you realized she was already mixing stuff in her cauldron. You figured most of your friends would be done with their potions before your next meal, so you decided to concentrate on your brew.
Getting the extract from the glow weed, was the most complicated part since it required an intricate spell and some special distillation skills, but you managed to do it after just a couple of tries. Once that was done, the rest of the potion was actually pretty simple, all you had to do was add the ingredients at the right time and mix according to the instructions. When you finished, you had a cauldron filled with glow potion, it had a golden colour, slightly bright, almost as if there was some light source hidden in the inside of it. You took out the crystal bottles you’d gotten for today and used a ladle to slowly pour the liquid onto them, placing some of the potion in a small bottle with a dropper, and handed it over to your friends so they could add their drops on the potions they’d made.
When you were done, everyone was pleased with their own potions, especially Tom, who had somehow managed to finish his mystery potion without anyone else figuring out what he was making, he placed it on a small crystal bottle with a golden cap and a transparent liquid. You all walked back to the dorms together and divided the little vials amongst Beth and your room. She wasn’t all that close with her roommates, so she took smaller, personal-sized potions while your room got the bigger vials and flasks. Once you placed your small bottle on your trunk, next to some of the other stuff you’d already prepared for your costume, you walked downstairs to wait for the girls in the common room, you grabbed the book Nina had lent you and sat on the couch. Tom came down and plopped down beside you minutes later.
“What are you reading?” He asked taking the book from your hands and reading the back cover “A spicy werewolf novel?”
“It was recommended.”
“Yeah, I bet,” he said with a bit of a cheeky smile and started flipping through the pages, stopping in on a page with a drawing of a shirtless man and eyeing it “Damn, he could rile me.” You raised an eyebrow, “Just look at him!”
You laughed at that “Didn’t know you liked boys.”
He shook his head “It’s not that I like them,” he said “I just don’t care if they’re boys, or girls, or anything…”
You nodded, thinking about it for a second “I think I don’t either.”
He gave you his signature bright smile and placed his arm over your shoulder, bringing you slightly closer to him “Welcome to the club!”
“Are there many others like us in the school?”
“You’d be surprised, most of them hide it quite well though, you wouldn’t expect it, you know a few, but it’s not for me to tell. We Brits are pretty open-minded you see.”
You nodded, “Definitely better than in my old school.”
When the girls finally came downstairs you all walked out of the common room together, and you stayed with them until you had to split ways since they’d taken a different extracurricular. You walked half of the way to your classroom when you spotted Remus walking by himself, who also walked towards the classroom, so you picked up your pace and caught up with him “Nice to see you again, Rem!” You told him with a smile.
“How did potion making go?” He asked politely.
“Excellent, my costume is almost ready!”
“You’re really going big with it, aren’t you?” He asked, raising one of his eyebrows.
You nodded “It’s my first Halloween at Hogwarts, you guys have set the bar pretty high according to Marlene, I’ve gotta match those high standards.”
“She said that?”
You nodded “She told me all about your costumes from previous years, how last Halloween you dressed up as the teachers, McGonagall was mortified when she saw Prongs with an exact replica of her green robes.”
Remus laughed, remembering that moment “Yeah, she did.”
“What about you? What are you dressing as this year?”
He sighed, “Frankly, I don’t have a plan yet, last year was Pads’ idea, and we all followed through, but this year he had a pretty rough summer break and didn’t plan any group costumes, we’re all making our own.”
“I think you should be a pirate!” You told him simply.
“A pirate?”
“You’ve got the sexy pirate vibe going on already, why not?” You asked with a shrug.
“Sexy pirate vibe?” He asked in disbelief.
You nodded “Ask anyone, they’ll confirm it.”
“Confirm what?” James asked as he caught up with the two of you
“That Remus looks like a sexy pirate.”
James raised his eyebrows at your words, looking a little impressed, and then turned to his friend “Hmmm…. Yeah, I see it.”
“See? Told you! It was literally the first impression I got from you.”
“When I went to pick you up at Dumbledore’s office?” He asked, rather confused.
You shook your head “No! When we you bumped into me at the station. I saw you, and instantly came flashbacks of those spicy novels with shirtless men on the cover.”
When James heard it, he laughed like a madman, you were right, Moony definitely had the type. “Yours would have you, holding onto the ship’s mast with a barely buttoned white shirt, and the title would be something like The Beast Within,” James said in between laughs.
Remus gave James a warning look, but you were too occupied gasping at James’ boldness “Are you implying Remus is a beast in bed, Merlin! James, I did not expect you to be cheating on Lily with your best friend!”
Now it was Remus’ turn to laugh, James’ dumb joke had turned on him “Yeah James, please explain how you’d know anything about my nightly activities… I could be a gentle lover for all you know.”
“I don’t know about that,” you teased “You do give off the beast in bed vibe.”
Remus gasped “I’m the chillest of the group.”
You nodded “It’s always the quiet ones,” you said with an air of mystery.
When you arrived at the classroom, the three of you struggled to gain back composure and to calm down after the fit of laughter you’d caused each other. Remus went to sit beside Sirius, the first thing he did, was ask him what they were all laughing about, and after being told the story he ended up agreeing with you on two of the things said, First: Remus had to dress as a pirate now, there was no other option. Second: Moony would definitely be a beast in bed.
Saturday came and went, this time you actually got to go to Hogsmeade for the first time, even if it was more of a business run than a pleasure one, the boys were so focused on getting all the stuff for the party ready that you barely even saw Sirius while you were in town. You spend most of the day with the girls, jumping from shop to shop to get some of the last bits you needed for everyone’s costume. Mary was going to go the easy route, she decided she’d dress as a kitten, her plan was to grab some cat ears and a tail, and enchant them to move like those of a real cat would.
Marlene was going to do a matching costume with Holden, they’d both go as Sonny and Cher from the video “I Got You Babe”. Marlene had even gotten her hands on a long black wig and a small fur coat. And Holden had actually bought a hair-lengthening potion to match the look. You were certain the two of them would look incredible in their outfits. Beth was going to dress as an astronaut since she was very passionate about space exploration and some of the newer muggle technology advancements. Tom was going to dress up as a vampire and had convinced you to help him charm his canines to look like fangs.
James tried to persuade Lily to do a couple’s costume with him, but she refused every single time he asked, in the end, she decided she’d go as Ophelia, from Hamlet. When James found out he asked Remus to give him a short summary of the story and decided he’d be dressing up as Hamlet, to match with Lily even if she wasn’t expecting it. You honestly considered warning him against it, but he seemed so hopeful and they would look absolutely adorable in the photos so you decided against it. Peter said he’d dress as Edmund Pevensie, from "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” a book he had read when he took the muggle literature with Remus in 4th year, he’d convinced Teddy Hawthorn to dress as Peter, Annabeth Doxon to be Susan and a girl who you hadn’t met yet to be Lucy.
Since you didn’t tell Sirius what you were dressing as, he decided he wouldn’t tell you either, so both of your costumes would be a surprise to each other.
Unfortunately, your visit to Hogsmeade was so hectic, like everyone else’s, that you didn’t even have time to visit any of the restaurants your friends always talked about, you did see the Three Broomsticks from afar, it seemed like a nice and cozy little pub, very English in its type. Tom mentioned they made mean Beef Pasties and even if you weren’t quite sure they were, the way he described them them made them seem utterly delicious. He promised to treat you to some next time you went to Hogsmeade.
By Sunday, you were all spent, dedicating a good deal of the day to work on your costumes, Hagrid had gifted some pumpkins to Peter and you were carving along with him and Remus in the common room, Beth was gluing some patches to her astronaut costume and Lily worked on adding some details to her dress. James and Sirius were up in their dorm, since James had to work on his secret Hamlet costume, and Sirius on his own secret costume.
“How does it look,” you said as you turned around your pumpkin for Peter to see it.
He winced when he saw it, but was too nice to say anything negative about it “It’s… a little wonky, it… uh… works with the Halloween theme?”
You laughed in response and pulled out the book of practical spells Nina had lent you, being sure there had to be something useful there.
“Want some help?” Remus asked politely, taking your pumpkin and using a small blade to straighten some of your cuts.
You placed a hand over his shoulders and thanked him before going back to the book, still trying to find a useful spell, but there wasn’t exactly a Halloween section on the index. When you turned back to look at your pumpkin, Remus had already finished up refining it and it looked incredible.
“That’s… Remus, you’re incredible with your hands!”
“That’s what she said,” Peter said, almost automatically.
You gasped “Peter!” you said as a little smile drew from your lips. He looked up from his pumpkin mortified, you giggled “Didn’t know you had it in you to make dirty jokes.”
“You do remember I literally sleep in the same room that Sirius, right? The ability just rubs into me,” he told you with a little smile. You laughed along with Remus.
You heard some steps from behind and finally saw both Sirius and James walk down the stairs, Sirius casually leaned closer to you and placed a fast kiss on your lips before turning to Moony. You realized he had some glitter on his hair and passed your hand over it to shake it off as he spoke “Ready to go Moons? Pete?”
Remus checked his watch, and nodded “Yeah, I should probably get going, I’ll see you guys there?”
Peter nodded, “I’ll stay here for a couple minutes more, I want to finish this pumpkin, but I’ll be there.”
“Excellent, it’s settled then.”
Sirius finally turned to you, since you were still fluffing his hair “You done love?”
You shook your head “haven’t seen you much this weekend,” you said with a pout, not quite wanting to take your hands off his head.
He smiled and tilted his head just a little “Don’t tempt me, I’ll end up staying.”
You laughed at that, but you knew how important the marauder’s jokes were, so you shook your head “Go ahead trouble, I’ll see you at divinations, yeah?”
He gave you a look and shrugged with a smile on his face, before giving you a wink and running out behind Peter and James, who had already walked out of the portrait.
“You’re not planning to skip divinations, are you?” You asked Peter, who gave you an awkward smile in reply.
“And Remus just said yes?”
Peter seemed a little nervous at your question, but you didn’t quite understand why he would be “We…. Um— It’s very important business.”
You frowned, a little unconvinced but nodded, deciding not to question him further, “Ok then, I’ll cover for you lot. I’ll tell Spellman you ate something at Hogsmeade yesterday and that you’re feeling dreadful or something.”
Peter finally met your gaze “You’d do that for us?”
“Of course I would!” You said, as if it was obvious “You’re my friends, I’d cover for you any day.”
Peter smiled “You’re the best!”
You and Peter cleaned the table and placed the pumpkins near the window before he left. Once he was gone you moved closer to the girls, both Beth and Lily were still working on their costumes, “Need any help?” You asked politely.
Lily shook her head, but Beth responded “Yeah, can you pass me some of those patches please.” She said as she pointed at the table filled with patches, you carefully picked them up and handed them over. Letting yourself fall on the couch once you were done. You picked up the book Nina had lent you, the spicy novel this time, and finally started to read through it. You’d actually enchanted the cover since clearly it called everyone’s attention with the original one. Now it looked like a copy of a regular old spell book.
“Uh… I’m gonna feel bad if you keep studying while I’m working on a costume.” Lily Pouted from her place on the floor.
You chuckled “I’m not actually studying though, It’s a spicy romance book Nina lent me, the cover was a bit extra, so I charmed it.”
Lily gasped, with a smile drawing on her lips as she did. “You sly fox!”
You smiled at that, laughing as you said “Oh… trust me, you’ve got no idea.”
“And.. Is it actually spicy?” Beth asked, not looking up from her costume.
You shrugged, “Not sure, haven’t even met the main love interest so far, I’m barely starting the book. But I’ll tell you if it’s good.” You told her before going back to read. Every now and then they would ask you for small favors like holding the fabric for a second or passing something that was closer to you than it was to them. It was nice to just chill with the two redheads for a while.
After some time Mary and Marlene came from the stairs, you pulled your head from the book and turned to the girls “Is it already time for class?” You asked, surprised.
Mary nodded “9:30, you see?”
“We should probably start walking there, in case the stairs decide to be funny today,” you said as you stood up.
Both Lily and Beth grabbed their costumes and carefully sat them over a table, you wrote a small note and placed it over them, so that other Gryffindors wouldn’t grab them by accident, or after trying to admire them. Once it was done, you started walking towards the class, Tom caught up with you halfway there, and you all arrived at the astronomy tower with a couple of minutes left. Professor Spellman was already there, and a couple of students were pulling out their own telescopes as well, Tom included among them. The moon was already starting to. fade. According to Tom, who wouldn’t shut up about the way the BIood Moon worked “The moon will almost disappear completely before we can see it again, and when we do, it will turn red.”
He seemed so fascinated by the event you decided not to tell him you’d read all about it on the pages of the divination book Professor Spellman had you read for today’s class. At some point a Hufflepuff boy walked closer to Tom, smiling brightly as he greeted him “How’s it going Tom?”
Tom smiled back at him “Brilliant, I was just telling (Y/N) here about the mechanisms of the BIood Moon.”
“Really? I’d love to hear all about it!” The boy said with a smile.
You gave Tom a look, raising an eyebrow, he just smiled and winked in return, “Right! I’m sure Tom will know lots about it, I think Marlene’s calling me. See you boys around!” You said, giving Tom a knowing look, and letting the two boys flirt by themselves.
You were about to walk towards Marlene, when you heard the same howls from the time when you’d gone to the greenhouses with Lily, a lot further away this time, but the same nonetheless. So instead, you turned around and walked to the window closest to the sound. When you reached, you leaned over the edge just a little, to try and see better, but there was nothing but an endless sea of trees, wherever the things making the sound were, they must have been very deep inside the dark forest. Then you felt someone push you over the balcony violently, just to pull you back again with a vicious grip on your shirt “Careful, you may fall,” you heard Evan’s stupid voice as he pretty much pulled you towards his chest, you could feel his hot breath on your neck, disgusting, you wonder how it was possible that you’d considered him attractive at some point.
You turned around quickly, forcing him to loosen his grip on your shirt “What the hell Rosier?” You hissed. He was not alone either. Severus was on his side and another boy, who you quickly identified as Mulciber. He was taller with a tank-like complexion, that contrasted with Rosier’s softer looks as water did with oil. You stood your ground, even if you wanted to step back “Awww… did you have to bring your bodyguards along? Too scared to face lil’ old me by yourself?” You mocked, “Don’t worry, I can take Frankestine and Slimmy on any day of the week.”
“What the fuck did you just call me?” Mulciber said, taking a step forward.
“Offf, sorry! Guess I should have used a reference a little more keen to your level of knowledge.”
Evan scoffed, “Do you think it’s a good idea to make fun of him?” He said as he tilted his head, pulling back a little and giving the room a once over “especially without your boyfriends here to protect you.”
“Please, as if I needed anyone to protect me from you lot. Barty’s fan #1, Lily’s simp and Mr. Big guy” you laughed “you’re joke.” Ok, in hindsight, maybe you were pushing it a bit too hard. But you were not going to let them intimidate you.
Evan grabbed you by the collar and pushed you towards the railing again, you grabbed onto the handle, knuckles white with the force you were using, but you eyed him with a bravery you didn’t know where the hell you’d gotten from. You looked around and smiled, people were crowding up around you “You sure you wanna do that, luv? We’ve got a bit of a crowd here, too many witnesses, right? All though, I’m sure you’d fit in perfectly fine in Azkaban.” He seemed tempted to drop you, but eventually, he let go and pulled back. You smiled and straightened your uniform “Yeah, I thought so.”
“This is not over,” he threatened.
“Bring more henchmen next time,” you mocked with a smile. When he was gone, you turned around to the forest again, taking deep breaths to calm yourself down, and looking at the possible fall you could’ve gotten. It would most certainly be mortal.
Lily pushed through the crowd to reach you, looking at you filled with worry once she caught up “What the hell were you thinking (Y/N)? All that bravado was gonna be worth for nothing had he actually pushed you.”
“He wasn’t going to push me.”
“He’s insane, he could have,” she argued.
“Not in front of so many people.” You insisted, “Not without stupid Barty Crouch around, he’s the only reason Evan’s got anything against me.”
“That was the only reason,” Lily corrected “You insulted them out in the open for the entire class to hear.”
“They came pushing me into the railing first. I was not going to cry for help.”
“Ughhh….” She said exasperated, and then pulled you into a bone-crushing hug, “Just promise me you won’t go facing those assholes by yourself. Please don’t be as stupid as the boys.”
You sighed and returned the hug “I will not go chasing after them Lily, I promise.” You said, and you really did not intend to do it.

Academic Rivals (Wolfstar)
word count: 664
"Ugh, he's speaking Latin, that's so pretentious."
"Remus, you speak Latin," Lily replies, rolling her eyes in exasperation. He ignores her.
"I bet he was born with a silver spoonful of dead languages stuck in his mouth.”
"What a delightful image."
“I hope he chokes on that spoon,” Remus continues, crossing his arms and glaring across the room where James Potter’s thundering laugh echoes from as Sirius Black grins in a way that could rival the sun. Lily scoffs.
"What a prick, no regard for other people's peace and quiet."
"Lily, you have no regard for anyone's peace and quiet." And it's true, she can yell her lungs out when angered.
"Shut up and stop staring at Sirius before he and his annoying best friend come bother us."
"I'm not staring!" Lily grabs her backpack, throwing it over her shoulder just as the bell rings to mark the end of lunch. Her salad is still mostly uneaten next to Remus’ sandwich, both of them having been too wrapped up in conversation to really eat.
"Totally are,” she says back before glaring at James again, who seemed to have developed a sixth sense quick enough to wave at her excitedly at the same time. She picks up her newest book of feminine literature and her half-eaten salad, huffing in irritation at the boy that hasn’t left her alone since he found out she existed. Remus follows her lead, wiping imaginary dust off his uniform as he grabs his Latin textbook, and starts to head to class. From a few tables over, Sirius Black scowls at him but he pretends not to notice.
“Meet up after school?” he asks her, “My mom is baking.”
“Anything for Hope Lupin’s pastries,” she says, winking at him. “Tell me, is she still sure she doesn’t want to run away with me?”
“No, Lily.” Remus clicks his tongue disapprovingly but can’t help but smile at his best friend. “She’s still not accepting your marriage proposals.” Lily sighs.
“A shame, that.” Remus nudges at her as they take a turn in the hallway.
“If you’re that desperate for marriage…” He starts and looks pointedly at her.
“Don’t you dare, Lupin! If I accept a date with James Potter, take me to see a doctor because it will never, ever happen!” She’s almost shouting now as she shakes her fist at him in anger. Remus’ cringes at the weird looks they get from the people around them.
“Alright, alright, pretend I didn’t say anything,” he replies, palms out placatingly. She glowers at him playfully as they enter their classroom, which is less haunted by dead languages than it is the smell of jocks like Sirius Black, who somehow made it to class before them.
Remus sits at his desk, deliberately not looking at the desk that is unfortunately situated right next to him, and waits for class to begin. Professor McGonagall sits at the teacher’ desk, hands clasped together tightly, and dares to smile as she sends Remus to his execution without even a warning.
“For your next project you will be required to translate an excerpt from the writings of Cicero, which I will assign to you in a minute,” she tells the class mercilessly, “And you will work with the person next to you.”
The person next to you. Sirius. Remus almost complains but one look from McGonagall silences him, as if she knew that some people would argue and is ready to smite them at the smallest hint of rebellion. Work with his sworn enemy or face his professor’s disapproving glare. In his peripheral vision he sees Sirius watching him contemplatively, most likely stuck in the same dilemma.
Suddenly, a crumpled note hits him in the face. Remus frowns as it lands on his desk, pretending not to notice before succumbing to his curiosity. He unravels the note cautiously. Who knows what evils could be hidden in this wrinkled piece of notepad paper?
auribus teneo lupum
Remus snorts. Clever.
Meaning 'holding a wolf by its ears' aka being in a dangerous situation where both holding on and letting go could be deadly. Kind of like 'stuck between a rock and a hard place'. Obviously also a play on Remus' last name

You must not remember that moment in ootp in which Sirius says 'Remus was the good boy. He taught me how to read big words and what my name means. He is the only reason your dad and I didn't fail all our classes, as he wrote all our essays for us. He also wrote the marauders map on his own and made us into animagi, while also fucking his way through hogwarts. He's so sexy and hot and intelligent. He should have been your godfather but I threw a tantrum so bad even your mom, who really really hated me, gave in at the end'

Wolfstar Microfic- Father Christmas
Words: 834
@wolfstarmicrofic
🌙✨🎄✨🌙
“Who is this guy?” Sirius said as they walked through the shopping centre. “He’s everywhere!”
“That’s Santa.” Remus stared at him. “Santa Claus? Father Christmas? St Nicholas?”
“Father Christmas?” Sirius screwed up his face. “Is there a Mother Christmas?”
“Well, he’s often depicted as having a wife, but she tends to be called Mrs Claus.” Remus reasoned. “But then there’s Mother Nature but no Father Nature.”
“Maybe Father Christmas and Mother Nature are together,” Sirius said. “What’s Mother Nature?”
“Oh, that’s a whole other thing. Not related to Christmas at all” Remus laughed, “Let's just focus on getting Christmas presents, and hot chocolate and then go home.”
While Fleamont, Euphemia and James had pre-booked plans to visit family in Goa during the Christmas break, Hope and Lyall Lupin had invited Sirius to stay at their home with Remus. He would have been happy to remain at Hogwarts, but Remus promised him all the muggle Christmas delights he could ask for if he came home with him, so who was he to say no. Plus, spending time with Remus, just with Remus was something he found himself craving more and more. But he tried very hard not to think about what that could possibly mean.
So here they were, walking through the German Christmas Market, hands brushing occasionally, sending shivers up Remus’ spine, and down Sirius’.
“So, Father Christmas.” Sirius started. “Whose father is he? Is this to do with that chap Jesus? Is he Jesus' dad?”
“It’s not… He's not Jesus' dad, no. It’s a lie that muggle parents tell their kids. That Father Christmas or Santa brings them presents on Christmas Day, but really, the parents buy them. They say that Santa lives at The North Pole and magically can fit all the presents into a sleigh and deliver them all over the world in one night.”
“Well, he could be using an extension charm and apparating. It’s not so far-fetched.”
Remus sighed, “Yes, but muggles don’t know about those things. They just go ‘oooooh it’s magic’ and get on with it, not asking any questions.”
They walked up to the Hot Chocolate Stall and Remus got them each a hot chocolate with the commemorative mugs. It would be nice to take them back to school and have matching mugs in the dormitory. An image of the two of them curled up in bed together on a cold morning, clutching matching steaming mugs made him choke on his hot chocolate.
“Hey, easy!” Sirius chuckled as he rubbed Remus’ back gently.
They sat down on the stone wall that surrounded the fountain nicknamed by locals as ‘The Floozy in the Jacuzzi’ and Remus took another sip of the hot chocolate. It was incredible. He hummed in contentment, not missing the look Sirius gave him as he did so.
“I can’t believe your family never did Christmas,” Remus said softly. “I mean, I could rant for the whole of December about consumerism and capitalism ruining muggle Christmas, but it’s such a wonderful time of year. I used to love writing my letter to Father Christmas. Circling things in the Argos catalogue.”
“In the what?” Sirius asked, “Argoscatalogue?”
“Oh, there’s a shop called— Never mind. It was like a big book with everything you could ever want in it. Jewellery, tools, clothes, toys, musical instruments, furniture. And there was a new one every year, and a lot of muggle parents, like my mom, would bring home one of these books and get kids to look through for ideas of what they’d like Santa to bring them.”
“So you just wrote this man a letter saying ‘please give me these items’?” Sirius blinked at him. “And this is a genuine muggle tradition, not just a strange Lupin one?”
“Well, yes I guess that’s the long and short of it.” Remus nodded, “But it’s also a bribery thing. Santa only brings toys to good kids, and there’s a song about it that literally says ‘he sees you when you’re sleeping, he knows when you’re awake, he knows if you’ve been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake.’.”
“That is… the most terrifying thing I've ever heard. ‘Hey kids, this old man is watching you sleep, but it's ok because he’s going to bring you presents’?”
“Well when you word it like that, Padfoot...” Remus laughed, exasperated. “I think it’s just one of those things that is so ingrained into muggle culture. Well, some muggle culture. Not everyone celebrates Christmas but that is most definitely a conversation for another day. I’m not getting into muggle religion with you in the middle of town.”
“So how do people know what he looks like?” Sirius asked as they got up, put the mugs in Remus’ bag and walked towards the shops. “Because everyone has him looking the same. Wearing the same thing even. Are you sure he’s not real? Maybe he’s a wizard, and just doesn’t want people to know he’s real.”
“Yeah… maybe you're right,” Remus said wearily.

My Favorite Girl || Sirius Black
Summary: Sirius Black(if you don't mind) or Aaron Hotchner with a new girl that has a cochlear implant. At some point it could be damaged and they learned sign to surprise her!
A/N:I didn’t specify which sign language since all I know is ASL (American Sign Language) and after some reading I’ve learned that BSL (British Sign Language) is completely different! Almost as if they were two different languages which is fascinating. So, I didn’t want to butcher that! Also, we’re selectively ignoring the ‘muggle devices don’t work at Hogwarts’ rule, this does. Hope you enjoy. Very fluffy and extra sweet. As always, thank you for the requests!
Pairing: Sirius Black x Y/N
Word Count: 4.5k +
“What’s got you so nervous love?” Your mum wrapped her arms around your sunken shoulders. She’d spotted you sitting down at the edge of your bed just staring at the wardrobe looking rather glum. It wasn’t like you at all. You were the happy go lucky twelve-year-old that just got her letter to go to Hogwarts only a month ago. Your parents had known. A wizard came to explain that you were born a witch and what it all entailed. How the magical world existed and how you were now a part of it.
It was great and all until you the night before you were leaving for Kings Cross Station, to the Hogwarts Express for the first time. A witch came to collect you and your mom taking you to Diagon Alley. She was a representative from Hogwarts that helped guide first year muggle born students through the transition between the muggle world and the wizarding one. You understood when she handed you the list of things you needed. Half the supply list looked foreign, the books especially. What was transfiguration? Did potions really mean making potions? It was all too much all at once for you.
You knew you’d be going in far behind. There were other first years who grew up with magic like it was nothing. They were used to it, there was no novelty to it anymore. Not only did you have to overcome that, but you also had to overcome being the weirdo with a hearing impairment. The wizard that came when you were a baby even offered a healer to come take a look. The healer tried but said there wasn’t much that could be done. Magic can only go so far.
You’d grown up nearly deaf until you were able to get scheduled for surgery. You and your family had learned sign language to compensate until you got your cochlear implant surgically installed. After that you’d learned how to communicate through speech once you could finally hear. It was like learning an entirely new world. You loved it. How magical it really was to hear.
“Hello!” An overly excited black-haired boy smiled and waved as you sat across from him after getting sorted into Gryffindor. You weren’t sure if that was the best house, but it seemed like a decent one from the rumblings you’d heard on the train, “I’m Sirius. Sirius Black.” The long-haired boy named Sirius stuck his hand out for you to shake. How proper you noted.
You shook his hand gently while introducing yourself, “Y/N, Y/N Y/L/N.” You spoke quietly, unsure of the entire situation. How was it that yesterday you were sitting on the couch with your mum and dad in the muggle world and now tonight you were here? It was blowing your already overstimulated mind.
“It’s nice to meet you Y/N. How brilliant is this all?” He gestured to the magnificence of the ceiling of the Great Hall decked out in candles not even noticing your implant. It was impossible to see already due to the small size of it, especially when your hair was down like it currently was. Maybe you really didn’t have much to worry about. Maybe you could just be a normal first year like the rest of them.
You nodded excitedly suddenly so much less afraid, “It’s wonderful. I’ve never seen anything quite like it.” Your eyes scanned above you at the hundreds of candles that flickered above everyone, “Won’t the wax melt on us though?”
His eyes studied you as you fully took in its magnificence. He laughed at your innocent question, “Muggle born? They’re enchanted, it won’t drip on us.” He asked with genuine curiosity. Sirius had quite literally never met a muggle born witch. His parents forbade it. And they reigned supreme in every aspect of his miserable pure blood life.
You nodded suddenly a little afraid after heading the warnings from the witch who took you Diagon Alley. She told you there was a pecking order. Pure bloods were the cream of the crop. Half-bloods got some respect. And muggle borns were… less than desirable to the elite pure bloods. It also didn’t help that there wasn’t that many of you to begin with. It was far more likely for a witch or wizard to come from a wizarding family. You were already the small minority. The anomaly with a defect. How fun. Poor little British girl.
“Yes, I’m a muggle born.”
He grinned ear to ear, “Well, I’m going to show you everything I know. It may not be much but it’s something.”
“Really?” You leaned closer to him. He felt warm. He radiated warmth. His smile drew you right in. Sirius Black. You had a feeling you wouldn’t be forgetting that name for a long while. If not ever.
He nodded his head quickly, “Absolutely. You’ve got my word Y/N.” He wanted nothing more than to make friends. To fit in. Because he knew he was in for it the next time he saw his parents. He wasn’t too thrilled for the letter he was bound to receive in the next few days. An utter disappointment he was sure. He was a pure blood. He should’ve been in Slytherin. But that damn sorting hat had other plans.
Before you could respond a brown-haired boy with crooked glasses slid onto the bench next to Sirius, “Hi! I’m James!” He gleefully smiled taking in the other first years around him.
The rest was history. You fell into quick friendship with the girls of year one after the first few nights in the dormitories. Particularly Lily and Marlene. The three of you formed a trio quickly. It quickly felt like a big sleepover every night.
You’d also fallen into fast friendship with boys in your year too. Lily couldn’t stand them after James had taken a particular liking to her and never seemed to stop pestering her. Dorcas and Marlene thought boys were beneath them and never have them a chance leaving just you to form the friendship. If you weren’t with the girls you were with the boys. You couldn’t believe how nervous you were before getting to Hogwarts. Everything felt so easy and far too much fun for it be school. How lucky you felt.
“What’s that?” Sirius poked the top of your ear. Ah, it was about time one of them spotted the device on your ears. It’s been nearly two months into your first school year before he noticed. You’d gotten lazy and pulled your hair into a bun.
You found a rhythm with everybody. You’d grown close to Lily quickly, other than the boys that was of course. The girls knew about it within the first night. It wasn’t very easy to hide the device when you had to take it off and make sure it was charged. They were incredible with it all. They even learned basic signs so that they could talk with you if they needed to once you took them off. They made it easy, and you truly couldn’t be more grateful.
“It helps me hear.” You set down the quill that you were using to write your essay with. Potions, you had to write a damn essay on the history of some potions master. How dreadful. Slughorn claimed it’d give you all a newfound respect for the great art of potions making.
Sirius sat down across from you at the library table. Normally, he’d never be caught dead here. But he knew it was a Tuesday at six o’clock and you always did homework at the library then. He’d figured it out after a few months of getting to know you. Figuring out your structured routine quickly.
He genuinely liked you. You were far too sweet for the horrors of the wizarding world and the wretched pure bloods Slytherin. He’d tried his best to shield you from it. You didn’t deserve the snide looks and comments you’d received. Hell, no muggle born deserved it. But he could still see the saddened expression on your face when a Slytherin boy would yell filthy mud blood’ across the square right at you. He saw the hurt that crossed your features before you bravely put up a wall trying to ignore it. If there was one thing he knew within the first few months of knowing you was that he’s never felt so protective over anybody. Not even his own brother. It’s like he was bound to meet you. Bound to shield you from the hatred you didn’t deserve.
“You’re hard of hearing?” He didn’t realize how goofy he sounded using such mature language as a twelve-year-old until he saw your goofy expression making fun of him. You were cock eyed and wondering why in the hell he sounded like your grandpa. You’d both laughed quietly not wanting to get kicked out by the ornery old librarian.
You nodded slowly, “Always have been. Birth defect not even magic can fix.” You sighed wishing that you’d have been the exception. But no. Your ears were too damn deformed to get to work right. Magic couldn’t create a new cochlea. It could only attempt to fix what was there. So, it was muggle medicine you needed. It was muggle medicine you got.
He got up from his seat quickly plopping down in one next to you. He leaned over inspecting the apparatus that fit right to your ear, “It’s muggle?” He asked curious about the whole thing. Why hadn’t you told him? Had he not made you feel like a friend? Were you embarrassed?
You nodded careful not to hit him as you turned your head back away from his view, “Yeah. It’s called a cochlear implant. Uses vibrations or something to help me hear.”
He nodded moving away from your ear. Giving you your personal space back, “Makes you look cool.” Sirius nudged your shoulder seeing your unease surrounding the conversation. If there was one thing he was a pro at it was picking up emotion. Coming from such an emotionless family he had to know how to read anything. Pick up on anything. It was his only survival mechanism he learned in such a soulless upbringing. He noticed how you stiffened up when he asked about it. How you got seemingly uncomfortable within an instant like he’d just found out your deepest darkest secret.
You laughed softly, “Hardly, I’d say.”
He shook his head, “Trust me. It’s wicked. Makes you look part robot.”
You shook your head with a bright smile across it. You didn’t know what he was doing but you sure did enjoy it, “Is that really a good thing?”
He nodded, “I say so. And that’s really all that matters.” Giving you that signature Sirius grin you looked at him curiously. He was so different than any of the other twelve-year-old boys his age. It made you wonder about him. Wonder what his story was.
“Sure Sirius. That’s all that matters.” You shook your head as laughter bubbled out of you. He always got you smiling and laughing. A pro at turning any situation right around.
“Hey, you said it.” He tossed you a wink before ruffling your hair and running off. As quickly as you’d grown in your friendship with Lily your friendship was exploding with Sirius. The two of you were tied at the hip.
Your first year ended with you not wanting to get off the train at Kings Cross. You gave each of the boys and girls the biggest hugs before finding your parents. Promising to write them throughout the summer. You made sure to give Sirius the longest hug of them all. He was your comfort. The one you ran to when you needed help. A bond had formed your first year with the boy. A bond that you’d hoped could never be broken.
Fourth year was brutal. The Slytherins went all in on the bullying. Especially his cousins. You were now the filthy deaf mud blood freak. They targeted your implant because of course they did. They were bullies. Mean, evil people that picked on you because it bothered Sirius deeply. You seemed to be the things that got him worked up the most. Unlucky for you that you became their prime target of harassment. Lucky for you that Sirius was now essentially your bodyguard.
It bothered him so much he launched a full-on assault on the Slytherin common room and dormitories. The marauders, as they now called themselves, left you out of this one knowing you would tell them it was a step too far. Even Remus didn’t think it was too far. Not after the nasty insults he’d heard thrown at you earlier in the day. They’d seen you like a sister now. That protective nature was spread across all the boys. When you were hurt, they were hurt. And they weren’t the kind to stand by. Not these boys.
So, they snuck in using Polyjuice Potion, rigged the place with exploding dye and waited. They sat outside the hallway grinning ear to ear when they saw the entire dormitory explode out the dungeon door. Each person coated in hundreds of different colors. Unfortunately for them the dye wouldn’t wash off for a week. Not that the marauders cared. Not after they hurt you. Remus only felt a twinge of guilt for the Slytherin’s who didn’t partake as they were just casualties of the bigger picture.
You eyed the marauders the next morning after seeing almost all of the Slytherins coated in dye. Sirius only tossed you a wink before turning back to James. That was all the confirmation you needed. Even if you didn’t necessarily approve of the prank you knew you were loved by them. Those boys loved you dearly and you loved them just as much. It was moments like those that made you feel more than lucky with the friends you’d found here. You’d never cease to count your blessings.
Seventh year didn’t start out too wonderful for you. You’d woken up in the middle of the night having to use the restroom. Without much thought you’d taken the implant and placed it on your ear. You knew better than to take it off the charger when it wasn’t fully charged. The damn thing malfunctioned when it didn’t get its way. Muggle medicine wasn’t the most reliable at times.
What you didn’t expect was for the thing to completely break. A loud noise pieced your ear before you heard nothing at all. Shit. One side seemed to be working but the other was dead silent.
You turned on the running water only to hear muffled silence. Fuck. This couldn’t be happening right now. You walked down to the common room to take a better look at the device without waking any of the girls up. You sighed when you read the clock on the wall, five in the morning. This is just what you wanted to be dealing with at this hour.
You broke down into a soft cry feeling overwhelmed by the situation. Why now? Why after years of never having a problem with the usually amazing device did it decide it wanted to malfunction. You let a few tears fall before patting you face dry. You needed to focus. How could you fix the transmitter? You pulled it off the top of your ear along with the processor and microphone to make sure everything was working right. The only problem was it looked like everything was working right. All the usual lights were on. You felt the inevitable headache coming on strong from the sudden imbalance in hearing.
Panic began to bubble in your chest. Was something wrong with the device that was implanted in your ear? More tears fell as you let the anxiety of the situation consume you. You still had your other ear that seemed to be working fine. But nothing sounded right. Everything was muffled.
“Hey,” You felt a cold hand clamp down on your shoulder sending you nearly flying off the common room couch.
“Jesus Sirius.” You gasped unsure of how you actually sounded. Everything was muffled and hard to hear. It’s like you could hear but you couldn’t decipher without the other ear working. You saw his lips moving but you could vaguely make out what he saying to you. Trying to read lips was difficult with such low light coming from the always glowing lanterns that were scattered about the common room.
Even more panic began to rise as you realized you really couldn’t hear that well without the device working. Shit. You’d have to go home and have a muggle doctor look at it. You doubt any magic would work on a vibrational contraption.
Sirius saw your red laced eyes and the recent tear streaks that went down your saddened face. His expression downturned at the sight. He’d always loved you. But it wasn’t until recently that he realized he was devastatingly in love with you too. For the last seven years you’d been at his side, like James, through thick and thin. Even though you weren’t an official Marauder he’d considered you one. He made sure the guys included you in on everything. Even if it pissed James off. Sirius didn’t care. He simply adored you.
You didn’t give a damn about his name, Black. You’d started Hogwarts too naïve to know how scandalous it was that he was sorted into Gryffindor with the group of first years. It wasn’t until Remus gave you the run down about the sacred eight families that you realized how shocking the entire thing was. It didn’t deter you though. You’d treated him all the same. And he loved it. You kept him grounded. Even through the myriad of women he went through, you always were there for him. You always would be. Even if you couldn’t have him as a boyfriend you decided a long time ago you’d always be his best friend. No matter how hard it could get. And it got hard. Specifically, when all you wanted was for him to hold you in his arms, but he was hung up on another girl. That was heartbreaking.
You pointed to you ear and then the pieces you were holding in your hand. You mouthed, ‘I can’t hear you.’ You didn’t want to speak. It didn’t sound right. You couldn’t tell if you were whispering or yelling. The loss of hearing disrupted your reality significantly.
He turned his head unable to read your lips. He grinned ear to ear knowing he could try and communicate with you through sign language. Ever since you’d shown him the cochlear implant your first year he’d slowly learned. He was determined to learn sign language. Especially since you told him it was your first language. The one you were most comfortable in. You never needed to use it though, so he’d kept it in his back pocket.
Before he could respond though you’d already written on the back of an old flyer sitting on the coffee table reading, ‘It broke. I can’t hear.’ You pointed to the pieces of the device in your hand.
He nodded walking over to you slowly. It was now or never. He went for it. He signed, “Can I look?” He was probably going to sound like a child communicating knowing he never actually practiced with anyone. He never told a soul. Not Peter, Remus, or James. It was his little secret. Something he wanted to keep to himself. Between the two of you. Something special the two of you could share.
You nodded just in sheer shock from witnessing him communicating through his hands. You handed him the pieces, not that he had a bloody clue what he was looking at before looking up to you.
You were wearing a small smile. The pools of tears that were there moments ago had seemed to vanish in an instant, “When did you learn?” You asked back hoping he’d be able to read as well as he was able to speak it.
Should he tell you? He knew if he did that he’d be crossing the line. That friendship line that he’d been teetering with you for the last school year. It wasn’t his fault he was so blind before. But he felt too late. Like you’d both go off and do your own thing and never see one another again. You only had seventh year left. That was it and then you were off. It didn’t seem possible to him. He didn’t want to hurt you. That was the last thing he wanted to do.
That’s how he knew he loved you deeply. He’d rather not pursue you in the chance that it could hurt you. He was usually the selfish one. This was perhaps the least selfish thing he’d ever done. And it hurt him, his lack of action. He was always the doer. He never waited. He got what he wanted. But you? You were worth the wait. Even if he had to wait another twenty years. He’d do it. He loved you. Loved you so hard.
But on the other hand, what if he was hurting you by not telling you? What if he just needed to make it your decision? He was tired of playing it coy and distracting himself with meaningless dates and disappointing one-night stands. He let his hands move without thinking much more, “First Year.”
Your mouth dropped just slightly as you registered his words, “Really?” You asked after a moment of consideration.
He nodded his head minutely at the state of shock on your face. Shock turned to gratitude. Gratitude turned to more tears rolling down your face. Happy tears. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back for you.
It was hard just being his best friend. Even though you’d decided so long ago you’d always be there. It was so difficult always hearing him go on and on about damn near every girl within a grade of the group. You’d have to sit there and listen about how he’d impress them to get them into bed. It hurt but you’d learned to ignore it. It was Sirius. That was all. He was your friend and nothing more. You could wish and pray and hope all you’d liked but it never seemed like it could happen.
But this? This was beyond your wildest imagination. He’d went out of his way to learn sign language… for you? You knew it wasn’t easy. You spent countless nights crying when you were growing up because you couldn’t understand it. But he’d learned it. Just for you. Only you. That was love.
The tears that spilled now weren’t of the frustrated kind from earlier but of that overwhelming sense of love. Of such a divine happiness you didn’t think you’d ever receive. But here you were eyeing Sirius with all the love in your heart. He’d learned a damn language for you.
He walked over quickly brushing the tears away from your face. Taking a step back he signed, “What’s wrong?” Before engulfing you in the warmest hug you’d probably ever received outside your mum. You’d completely melted into him feeling his all-encompassing warmth. And for a moment you’d forgotten about the broken implant. You just felt so euphoric.
You shook your head wiping away the last bout of happy tears, “Nothing. Thank you.” You signed back at him. You wanted that hug again. That warmth. You wanted him.
“You’re my best friend. My favorite girl.” He didn’t really know how to go further but you nodded in understanding. You’d realized he’d do just about anything for you. Best friend. God how you wished it could be boyfriend though.
This time you’d pulled him back into that hug. Giving him a big squeeze. You were surely going to go over the deep end if he didn’t reel you back in quickly. It wasn’t often that you’d let your emotions get the best of you. But when you felt and heard that painful noise and then nothing it sent you into a spiral of emotion.
After you let him go he rubbed your shoulder gently, “Let’s go talk to…” he trailed off not sure how to continue. He mouthed ‘McGonagall’ hoping you’d get what he was talking about. You nodded in quick agreement. If there was anybody who would know what the hell to do it was her.
“Thank you.” You signed once more before the two of you went to go wake the older witch.
His smile could really change the trajectory of any day. You savored that beautiful grin that rarely came out so fully. Instead of responding he simply wrapped you back into him for the third time in as many minutes.
This time he held you for so much longer though. Held you tightly in his arms almost afraid to let you go. He felt so fucking dumb for not realizing what he had right in front of him. How incredible you were to him throughout the years. How you were his person. James was his best friend for forever. You were his person though. You were it.
He rubbed a gentle hand down your back utilizing the height difference to his advantage. He smiled warmly when he saw the visceral reaction you had from him touching you. You seemed to simply soften into his embrace. He’d certainly make a note of that. He was very much enjoying the position he’d found himself in with you. Holding you tightly to his chest.
He was always so bold but the thought of kissing you seemed to paralyze him. He’d have to take it slow just for his sake. He didn’t want to make a complete fool of himself. Sirius knew that you wouldn’t give a damn if he did though. You’d seen him though it all. Been there with him though everything. Every high you experienced with him and every low you comforted him. He couldn’t say the same was reciprocated and he wanted to slap himself for that. It was a miracle you hadn’t given up on him truly. He’d never fail to count his lucky stars.
After the lengthy embrace he pulled apart. Brushing the straggling hair out of your face he nodded to the Head of Gryffindors chambers at the base of the stairs.
Sirius offered you a hand for comfort still holding onto the small devices ready to explain and translate for you to McGonagall. Happily accepting his offer, you placed your much smaller hand in his. The way he looked at you sent a shiver down your spine. You knew he loved you in that very moment. You knew you were in for a very exciting lifetime with just that look alone. Oh, how you couldn’t bloody wait.

previous chapter | series masterlist
You could hear the commotion all the way from James’ room, right down the hall and though you couldn’t see it you could picture the poor maids scurrying out of his way, and with a subtle look to Lily and a scoff, she opened the door just in time for him to burst through it.
“Morning, James, sleep well?” he didn’t care for your teasing, at least five ties draped over his one arm, the coloured paper cards of his speech in the other and you wanted to laugh, but it wasn’t nearly as amusing as it should be when he frowned at you.
“You joke? Can’t you see I’m in the midst of a crisis?” If only he could fathom the true meaning of the word, still, you stepped down from the little podium in front of your mirror and smiled at the stylist to dismiss her, context clues aside, you didn’t think his scene was entirely fashion-related. You had a feeling the drinks he’d drowned himself in the night before was getting the better of him this morning, though he’d not admit that and you knew better than to point it out to him. So, you handed his speech to Lily instead, biting your lip to hide the satisfied smile when you realized that her smudged lip gloss was the very same shade that shimmered on the corner of your brother’s lips.
“Calm down, would you, you’ve done the same speech at least a thousand times,” you tutted, picked the sage green tie to complement his eyes and match the lines of the intricate pattern on your dress, it reminded you of something your mother used to say about unity, how looking the part was half a step closer to being it. “You use a whole bunch of fancy words to hide the fact that the country is actually in danger and then just briefly glance over the fact that you are taking yet another year to find yourself instead of being crowned in mom’s place,” the last tug to force the knot into place was just a little too rough by the way he stumbled, rolled his eyes, that mess of curls on his head clearly not combed yet as it fell about his face.
“I don’t see you stepping up for a shiny crowning title riddled with responsibility,” he bit back, and you scoffed, moving on to fix the collar of his blazer and then straighten the crest pinned on his pocket.
“That’s because, big brother, I’m already doing all the work without the crown and the title and the praise,” you had no sense being bitter about it, you’d rather pull the strings from the shadows than stand there in the spotlight telling lies and not getting anything done in the process. James yawned, you’d think he’d planned it perfectly to your comment but really you had a feeling he was just barely awake and stumbling around with his big boy feelings on his sleeve as always, hence the moaning and groaning you were so very accustomed to. “Now, go down to Dobey in the kitchen and ask him for one of his magical hangover cures, and then on your way back, have Dad slap some colour into those cheeks of yours so the press doesn’t write another article comparing you to the walking dead.”
“Sometimes I think you forget that I’m a full four years older than you,” you didn’t prove him wrong much when you took the crumbled piece of fabric poking out of his pocket to wipe the lip-gloss from his lips, both him and Lily growing flustered, James’ cheek heating up under your touch and Lily looking away just a tad too quickly for it to seem casual.
“How could I forget when you take every petty chance to remind me.”
With a lot of grumbling and yelling, mostly from James though some from your mother, you’d managed to get out of the palace, it was a whole ordeal even just getting out to the palace grounds, there were too many people for such a short notice press conference. Still, you linked arms with Lily who had a steady grip on her gun from over her blazer, just in case, and whispered lightly about whoever one of you saw in the crowd first, entirely out of character, but Lily has always been your friend first and your guard second, only she did a very good job of acting like the second was by choice and not by pay.
“Don’t look now,” she whispered, and you knew your part, kind smile and dainty steps as you looked over the people and not at them, the perfect shot to portray that classy princess they so wished you to be, but that didn’t mean you weren’t excited to hear who she was looking at. Lily had a way of disguising her surveying for gossip as surveying for danger which had her look the perfect unsuspecting spotter. “I can’t believe they came out of hiding long enough to grace us with their presence,” the intrigue left your system in a second, she didn’t need to say much more for you to piece together exactly who she was talking about and it made your body run cold.
“The Lupins are here?” you weren’t sure how she heard you, you spoke so softly you barely heard yourself. Maybe it was just his parents, they’d been talking to your parents through letters for months now, maybe they just stopped by to see them quickly and they’d run back to their little island on the other side of the globe. “Is he…”
“Yes,” her voice was softer now too and were your mother not leading the bunch of you directly to the podium for James to speak, you would’ve run right back into that palace until they were on a plane and you were assured they weren’t ever coming back. “He’s looking at you, though he looks a right mess- could at least have ironed his suit before stepping out in the public eye after so long.”
You couldn’t believe it, Remus Lupin. The sheer audacity he had to come back here after all this time of complete silence, no letters, no explanations, just left you to try and go on with your life after what he’d done. It was always just the four of you, him and James, you and Lily, you’d rarely spent a second apart before things changed. Honestly, making you fall in love with him was one thing, abandoning you when you dared to acknowledge it was another and you had the right mind to knock him right off his feet the first chance you got. He left you as a naïve, lovesick teenager, and now when you’d finally moved past that, rewritten yourself, he had the nerve to show up to your home and make you rethink everything and you hadn’t even set your eyes on him yet, spoken to him yet.
“Breathe,” Lily reminded you, a soft squeeze to your hand when she took hold of it where it rested on her arm, aside from the letters in your journal you’d burned years ago, Lily was the only one who knew how your heart used to beat for his grace, the pompous bastard that is Prince Remus Lupin, so unlike his father is was laughable. “He’s sitting on the far right, just look straight ahead and you’ll miss him,” she handed you over to a very confused James, hoping that a look from Lily would be enough to explain why his usually calm and collected sister looked like she was about to faint right into his arms.
You shook your head, plastered on a pretty smile, and gripped the podium for dear life, thank goodness James couldn’t talk himself through a speech at a reasonable pace, words rushing out of his mouth faster than his mind could plan them- you wouldn’t have to pretend for too long. You considered yourself to have changed quite a bit since all of you were kids, you’d stayed the same in the parts that counted but the parts that hurt, the ones that made it hard to go on, you’d left those in the past, traded them in for attempts at bravely, traded your meekness for willingness, pushing for more- you weren’t completely similar to the girl who felt destroyed when Remus left for Hogwarts to get away from you, yet you felt her aching inside of you all the same upon knowing he was here.
An odd thing, all of this, trying to be brave while allowing the weakness in you a place to flow freely and have its moment. Yesterday you were talking to the leader of the mafia surrounded by horrendous, murderous people and you felt stronger than all of them, today you were surrounded by noblemen, royalty, family and a man you’d known for years only as the boy who broke your heart and you felt small enough to be picked up and taken away by the very breeze that shook through the trees around you.
You allowed your eyes to search for his, steal a guilty glance despite how much worse it could make you feel, and you tried your best to hide your reaction. He looked the same, you didn’t know how that was possible, how his eyes so beautiful they still begged you to get lost in him, how you could look past his own surprise at seeing you and in a second experience every single good and bad feeling he’d ever made you feel all at once.
There was movement behind him, you were distracted but you noticed it, everyone was so focussed on James’ talking and your parents standing behind you and the appearance of the Lupins, why anyone would be walking around didn’t make any sense. You thought you saw a face that shouldn’t be there, someone out of place, someone you’d seen only in darkness so how it was allowed in the light you weren’t sure, so you dismissed it, shot it down instead of looking to Lily to have her check and maybe if Remus wasn’t looking at you and James wasn’t talking and the idea of Sirius sending texts to your phone stuck in your room wasn’t consuming you, things might have turned out different. Instead, a horrific sound filled the air of the garden, people scurried, James was pulled away, you swore you’d seen that face before, and the pain of the past couldn’t measure up to the feeling of your flesh ripping apart or the coldness that filled your veins as you fell back into Lily’s arms or the surreal wetness of your own blood dripping onto your fingers. You couldn’t think with all the noise, couldn’t breathe from pain, couldn’t see from the shock but you knew for sure that there was about to be hell to pay.
It was silent and unthinkably loud all at once, the only voice that was cutting through was your mother’s, she was the only calm one, giving orders, calling for people and then you saw Lily- she looked so worried, so guilty even though it wasn’t her fault, as soon as you could fathom the idea of speaking, you’d tell her that. You’d tell your mother about what you’d been doing behind her back. Tell James to stop messing around and properly take Lily on a date. Tell Remus to go to hell.
Surely you could think yourself out of this one, reason yourself out of it, but the truth was it hurt like hell, and not once, not since you started working with Sirius, did you think you’d be the one getting shot. Maybe you were naïve, made friends with the wrong foe, you thought Sirius Black was the first in line to take out your family once he had the chance which is why you solved that problem but clearly there was someone bigger out there, someone who had no intentions of peace and unity and talking it through- if only they knew how much trouble they’d just gotten you into.
Being shot, one of the worst kinds of pain, letting your mother down, that was just pure torture.

Illness

@wolfstarmicrofic
Sirius was shaking when Remus woke up beside him.
“Are you alright, Pads?” he asked, feeling Sirius’ forehead. It was extremely hot to the touch.
“Oh Merlin, you’re burning up. Um, wait, I know what to do…”
He tried to recall what his mother did for him whenever he was sick.
“Oh! There’s this potion! My mom used to make it for me when I got sick and it- oh no.” Remus was absolute shite at making potions. He had been since he was in first year, in the first lesson, where he immediately blew it up somehow. It was like the cauldron had a vendetta against him.
“Remus,” Sirius croaked out. He was at his side in a second, listening attentively. “I’m fine. It’s just a cold.” He let out a violent cough. “Some water would be nice though.”
Remus conjured a glass of water and offered it to him. Sirius drank it quickly, wincing when he swallowed. It hurt Remus’ heart to see him sick.
“I’ll owl my mum for the potion straight away. Just… don’t move.”
“I think it hurts to move,” Sirius said as Remus rushed out of the room to get parchment and a quill.
Remus quickly sent an owl to his mother and grabbed some muggle medicine they kept just in case. He conjured up another glass of water and gave Sirius the proper amount of medication.
“Do you feel nauseous or anything?”
“I’m fine. But you should probably stay here, just in case. I don’t know if I’ll survive without you by my side…”
“I see you still manage to be insufferable when you’re sick.”
Sirius coughed again, and the most concerning part was, he was only being a little dramatic. “What do you mean? I’m always a delight to be around.”
“Sure.”
“Oh, you love me.”
Remus sighed. “Yes, I do. Which is why I’m going to ask you to preserve your poor vocal chords and stop talking. You already sound like you got run over or something. I don’t want it to get worse.”
“I love you too.”
“I’m going to make you some soup.”
“Isn’t cooking similar to potion making? I don’t think that will go well.”
“It can’t be that hard. It’s just soup. Now, shhhhh.”
Sirius closed his eyes and quickly fell asleep. He awoke to Remus shaking him awake.
“What is it, Moons? I’m trying to sleep…”
“I have the potion, if you’d like it. Actually, I don’t know why I said it like that. Please drink the potion, Sirius.”
“Alright, alright, bossy.” Sirius drank the potion in one swift gulp.
“Ah, I already feel better, Remus!” He planted a quick little kiss on Remus’ forehead and began to get out of bed. “I think that I’ll just… I’ll just… I’ll…”
Remus sighed. “A side effect of the potion is that you’ll need to sleep for a few hours. You’ve already slept for so long though, but I guess it’s-” Sirius promptly fell asleep and didn’t hear what Remus had to say about that.
When he woke up, Remus was burning up beside him.
“Oh, not you now!”

Words cannot describe how much I love Jewish!Remus. It’s the representation I didn’t have growing up.
But I also grew up in an interfaith house. My mom is Jewish and my dads catholic. So What I crave even more is an interfaith(ish) Wolfstar household.
I want a grand Christmas tree in the entryway and a family heirloom menorah in the window.
I want to see Sirius learning how to make hamentashen. Sirius getting REALLY into Purim (“MOONY! you mean to tell me I’m eating a man’s ear??!?).
Sirius running back and forth from the store because “what do you mean there’s a whole separate kosher for pesach?”
Remus being absolutely baffled by the concept of an Easter bunny
Remus still confused after 15 years as to why wizards even celebrate Christian holidays
Remus sprinkling Yiddish into everyday conversation to the point that it starts to rub off on Sirius.
Sirius singing Jingle Bells with their kids and Remus adding “you know this was written by a jew”
Remus starting to gossip and adding “not to lashon harah, though” and Sirius smiling, knowing it’s about to be the juiciest information he’ll hear all week
Remus loving Christmas decor
Remus complaining about having to schlep all the way home after a full moon
Wolfstar eating all of the gelt before they can play dreidel, so they use left over Christmas candy

Hello again!
I have another idea for a dialogue if you're still looking for some.
It's for Wolfstar.
So... it's the reader's birthday, and they want to surprise her, they do and she starts to cry because no one has ever done anything like that for her, they start to freak out because of course they don't understand yet, but she explain and it's the sweetest moment 🥰
(This is basically because I haven't celebrated my birthday in years because I have no friends at all, and I need some cute wolfstar cuteness... this was sad... sorry bye 😅)
yeees! this is so precious! 🥰 also, I never celebrate my birthday either, we should celebrate our unbirthdays together 😬 Warnings: none :D pure fluff Disclaimer: I don’t own Harry Potter 😊 gifs aren’t mine 😁
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Happy Birthday
You woke up, stretching your body, hoping to find at least one of your boyfriends next to you, but the bed was completely empty. You frowned your eyebrows a little confused, until you heard them on the other side of the door of the apartment you had been sharing for a few months now.
"Sirius! Would you stop doing that? You're going to burn yourself!"
"But I want to help you!"
You chuckled softly when you heard Sirius whine and you slowly got out of bed. When you stepped outside of your room and into the living room, you could see your two boyfriends arguing in the middle of the kitchen. The entire place was fully decorated, breakfast almost ready for the three of you, balloons filled with helium adorning the ceiling, your favorite music playing, a mountain of presents in the corner, and your favorite flowers in every room of the house, with a trace of petals coming from the doorway where you were standing to your room. Remus and Sirius heard the door being opened and look back to see you standing there, bewildered.
"Happy birthday, love!" they yelled with the biggest smiles on their faces. Both of them with flour, chocolate, pancake batter, and whatever other ingredient you could think of all over their faces.
And the only thing you could do was cry. You didn't mean to. Your eyes started welling up and before you could say anything, tears started streaming down your face.
"Princess?" Sirius asked, freaking out before slapping Remus' arm. "I told you the balloons were too much!"
"Stop it, that's not what this is" Remus rolled his eyes, walking towards you. "Honey, what's wrong?"
"Do you hate the balloons?" Sirius asked, worriedly.
"Enough with the balloons!" Remus glared at him.
"N-no, it's not the b-balloons" you assured them as tears kept falling down your cheeks even if you tried to stop them.
"What's wrong, princess?" Sirius asked as he and Remus grabbed your hand and walked you over to the sofa.
"I'm sorry" you said, wiping away a few tears, only for new ones to come. "N-nothing is wrong" you assured them, grabbing their hands in yours. "It's perfect" you smiled through your tears. "E-everything is perfect, this is just- it's so..." your words got caught up in your throat. "I wasn't expecting you guys to-"
"To what? Remember your birthday? C'mon, love, give us a little credit, we never forget your birthday" Remus chuckled a little.
"No, I know" you laughed a little. "You always remember, even if I've always told you I've never liked my birthday" you told them. "Y-you didn't have to do all this" you said, pointing at everything around you.
"Well, we know we didn't have to, but... we wanted to spoil you today" Sirius said, kissing your cheek. "We know you've never wanted us to make a big fuss about your birthday but... we want to make a big fuss about you" he insisted.
"When I was little... I used to like my birthday" you started explaining. "But when I turned eight, after dinner, my parents sat me down and told me they were breaking up. I thought they were kidding, but then I saw a suitcase out of the corner of my eye. In the hallway. My dad moved out that night. And my mom never really wanted to celebrate my birthday after that" you said with a few tears escaping your eyes. "To be honest, neither did I so... I started spending my birthdays alone after that" you admitted.
"I'm really sorry, sweetheart" Remus said, pulling you closer to him. You have never told them why you didn't like your birthday and they never wanted to push you. "But you're not alone anymore and... if it's okay with you, we would like to celebrate your birthday like you deserve" he said, kissing your temple as Sirius kissed your hand.
"I would really like that" you said, truthfully. You had spent too much time being by yourself and making your birthday a sad day. Sirius and Remus had always made you feel incredibly loved and now you couldn't think of spending your special day any other way. "I love you two so much" you said, giving each one of them a peck on the lips.
"We love you two" the to of them said before peppering your face with kisses.
"I would still get rid of the balloons if you want me to" Sirius said, earning a smack on the head from Remus.
"Stop it, Siri, I love them" you insisted, before you frowned. "Um... is something burning?"
"MY WAFFLES!"
The End

Good Boys Can Keep Secrets
@microcest
Prompt: Shhh…don’t let mom hear
Word count: 1,649 (I'm so sorry, this is so far from a microfic, but I tried. I swear next time I'll stay within an acceptable word count.)
Warnings: underage
Pairing: Sirius/Regulus
Summary: Sirius shows Regulus something only grown ups do.
Regulus’ underwear was pooling at his socked feet. His small hands were trembling as he clutched nervously at the hems of his robe, keeping it up, his lower half fully exposed: the thin legs, the redness on his knobbly knees, a purple or two ruining the otherwise alabaster skin – evidence of Sirius’ harshness and creativity for making up plays that’d end up bruising one or the other.
His nudity wasn’t something he used to be embarrassed about – Sirius and he had a fair share of baths together when they were smaller, and his brother’s lack of sense of privacy kept the vision of their growing bodies known to each other.
But having Sirius facing his…private parts directly was far too embarrassing. Especially when he felt his brother getting closer, his hot breath bruising against him. It made him feel tingles in his lower stomach, and his penis, to his horror, started to move.
“Are-are you sure? You said adults do this, but it’s dirty, I mean, I’m not dirty, but I pee from there…” he asked, certain it was all a mockery, and Sirius would stand up and laugh at his face at any time.
His brother looked up with a devilish grin, but instead of finally revealing it was a lie, he did something far more audacious. His tongue, soft and hot and moist, did something that made Regulus see stars, his mind went blank for a second: with deliberate slowness, Sirius licked his cock, - there, he finally allowed himself to think the dirty word - from the base to the tip, never breaking eye contact, though Regulus couldn’t quite focus, with his shuddering breath and the familiar shame that came with the warmth of tears pooling on his eyes, ready to fall any instant.
“I promise you, Reggie, they do. I saw it myself. Look, you’re getting hard from it. What I just did, didn’t it feel good?” Sirius asked in an unexpectedly soothing voice, looking almost uncertain.
“It-it did, it’s just…very intense,” Regulus responded, his soft voice lending a whisper-like quality to his words.
“I’ll put it in my mouth, okay?”
Without waiting for an answer, Sirius dived down again as Regulus nodded anyway.
This time, it was even more intense as Sirius engulfed what he could at once. It was by far the most pleasing feeling he had in his whole life – almost unbearably so, and Regulus instinctually let out a shuddery moan and faltered on his knees, but Sirius caught him just in time.
“Shh…don’t let mum hear,” Sirius chided, his mouth producing a pop sound as he lifted his head. Regulus felt the tingles again at the sight of his cock, pink and covered in drool, so close to his brother’s face.
“Sorry,” he whispered, biting his lower lip as Sirius went down on him again.
This was better than spending holidays in their villa, Regulus thought. And he really, really loved the summer. Sirius gave shivers a whole new meaning: nothing else ever made him shiver for how good a sensation was. His brother’s wet, hot mouth felt even better around his cock, humming and moving up and down, making embarrassing noises, than it felt when Sirius told him for the first time that he needed kissing lessons, for when the time arrived Regulus wouldn’t embarrass himself.
Regulus practiced thoroughly whenever his parents were around and felt quite good in his abilities, even daring to stand on his toes and taking the initiative sometimes. The noises Sirius made when they french-kissed was proof of his skills. It sounded as if he was enjoying the experience. Regulus didn’t particularly fancy any girl, but doing it with Sirius was nice enough that he didn’t have the courage to tell his brother that this new ability wouldn’t be put to use for a long time, excepting Sirius.
If he already thought Sirius was amazing at this – and the thought he might have practiced on some other boy was rather unpleasant – it was even better when his brother went further down and choked a little, and he could swear his cock would move by itself, had it any space. Regulus didn’t even think of being concerned, because he felt the tip of his cock brushing against the back of Sirius’s throat, but quickly it ended.
“Fuck,” his brother cursed, his voice a little coarser, gasping for air, “your little cock is so pretty I wanted to swallow it whole, but that’s harder than I thought. I’m not sure you can actually come yet, but try to keep quiet, okay? I’ll make you orgasm…promise it’s better than anything you’ve ever felt.”
Sirius’s breath near his cock was making him want to both squeeze his tights together, and open them further apart.
“Can- can I try it later? I mean, I want to try to make you feel the tingles as well,” Regulus felt his face hot. He must look like a mess, struggling to keep his posture straight, hair rubbing against the wall, sweat on his forehead.
“Sure, baby brother. I’ll feed you my cock whenever you want. We’ll know if you’re good enough if you make me cum.” He tilted his head, “Have you ever? Cummed? You know, the white thing that comes out of men’s cocks?”
Regulus shook his head, feeling his face burn at the obscenities and trying not to think about how it felt good hearing it.
“Well, it’ll happen when you grow a little more. Actually, It won’t take long, I guess. There’s a little hair growing here. Very thin and sparse, though. But you’ll let me know, won’t you?”
Regulus nodded dutifully, squeezing his legs together for a moment. “I will.”
Sirius gently caressed his inner thigh, smiling with fondness. This Sirius was the one Regulus adored the most.
“Of course you will, you’re such a good boy, always…”
Whatever his brother would say next was swallowed down as he closed his mouth around the head, giving it teasing suckles and little kisses that were making Regulus bite his sore lower lip to stop making noise. Then, Sirius looked up, his hungry gaze locked with his, and Regulus' heart skipped a beat when he attempted to reach the back of his throat again. His palms must have been bleeding with how much effort he was putting into not letting go of his hem and pulling Sirius’ hair. He wasn’t authorized – Sirius hated it when he was showing something new and Regulus acted without asking for permission. Plus, it’d be incredibly rude. He’d have to ask to touch Sirius’ hair…or any part of him next time, gently, of course.
Sirius increased his rhythm, and all it took was three times more in the hot, tight and wet moving fast when he felt it. This time he let go of his robes, which fell over Sirius’ head and hid him from view. But the covering of his brother’s beautiful face didn’t matter, because Regulus’ head tilted up against the wall, closing his eyes and curling his toes. He could feel his brother’s hands on him, keeping him steady. Regulus hoped he could make Sirius’ toes curl like his and his knees lose strength too.
He felt a kiss right under his belly button before his brother lifted his head out of the dark fabric, looking amused. “Yeah, nothing came out, but it was lovely anyway. We’ll see next time.”
“You say such scandalous things,” Regulus pouted, suddenly upset by the notion, “It seems like you have done it before. To other boy.”
“Why would I? I have the prettiest one right across the hallway,” Sirius responded, his smug smile back.
Regulus blushed, feeling silly for asking. His brother slipped his forgotten underwear up his legs, hands touching as much skin as they reached on the way and adjusted it over his hips, spreading his hands over Regulus’ backside before moving on to close the buttons of his robes. Regulus felt like a child, being dressed by someone else. He felt inadequately young and uninformed compared to his brother, who was showing him things only adults did.
“I-I wouldn’t want anyone else to…to teach me the things you do. Or say such indecencies. When other boys talk about dirty things, I don’t like it. But with you, it feels different.”
Slowly, Sirius rose to his feet, his knees moving a bit stiffly. Regulus would have to remember to use a cushion next time. Tenderly, his brother planted a kiss on his forehead, making something in Regulus’ stomach coil.
“That’s because I’m your big brother; I’m the one you’re supposed to learn things from, even the ones Mother and Father don’t want you to hear. They think you’re too much of a baby for that. They coddle you. But I know better. You’re grown up enough, so as long as we keep it a secret, I can make you feel good.”
His brother was larger than life; a magnetic presence Regulus wanted to be around for as long as he was allowed. Sirius trusted him, and his heart raced at the thought of breaking his brother’s trust. He’d never dare. Sirius would be angry. Plus, he really wanted to prove he was grown up enough, like Sirius said, and snitching was not the right path for it.
“Where did you learn it? What you just did?”
“Don’t worry your pretty little head over this, pet.”
In the hallway, a stunned Walburga lingered by the door. She had intended to check on the boys before dinner, adept at the art of moving quietly, a skill essential for any mother dealing with a mischievous child. With a quiet sigh, she retreated downstairs. "What a worthless husband," she muttered to herself, feeling both embarrassed and humiliated. A serious talk with Orion after dinner was due. “Can’t even remember putting up the privacy spells.”
