howdy tas!!!! i know nothing about 911 but you deserve to talk about your blorbos so!!! for the buck/eddie asks, 7, 12, 14, 25?💛💛💛
jamie have i told you recently that i love you? 💓 this genuinely made me so happy, thank you 💖
7. name three of your favourite buddie fics and shout out the authors if you want!
this fandom has the most amazing fics narrowing it down to three is almost impossible but here goes nothing:
@LAFD_Overheard in which the entirety of Los Angeles ships the two idiot firefighters who can’t seem to catch a hint
to look and be seen by @princessfbiwhich is a rwrb au. do i even need to say more?
Leave the Light On (I will be coming home) by @hmslusitania is my favourite fic in the whole fandom and i reread it like at least once a month
(+ honourable mention to Autowrecked because eddie v technology is the funniest thing to come out of 911)
12. any predictions for 5b?
oh SO many. the number of possibilities with eddie being dispatch... the limit does not exist. so buck gets hurt on a call with eddie being on the other side painfully aware that buck is in danger but not being able to do anything except say his name again and again bcos he’s not there to have buck’s back like he promised - no vowed - years ago? like if that doesn’t happen what is even the point! and with the theme of children getting hurt that has been running all season, it has to cumulate to christopher getting hurt and eddie not being able to do anything except trust that buck will get to their son and protect him, which would inevitably have to lead to a conversation about the will! I also think at least one person from the firefam will also find out about the will.  and now that we have the fire at dispatch confirmed I think eddie is going to spend the whole time saving people without a stitch of protection or gear (eddie’s very own tsunami arc!) and realise that being a firefighter is who he is, and no matter how much he tries to ignore that part of him he can’t. and also make some uncomfortable realisations about his own mortality and the fact that quitting firefighting does not guarantee his safety, which I think will ultimately lead to a conversation about the shooting with both chris and buck, and the season will end with eddie officially coming back to the 118.
14. what song(s) do you associate with buddie?
like every taylor swift song ever written?
ok lol forever winter is THEE buddie song, esp the s5 arc (hence the 3 different edits I currently have in drafts ALL to this one song). this love is my no 1 buddie first kiss song, and I even wrote a whole fic about it. I also think pancakes for dinner by lizzie mcalpine is a great buddie song, as is home by 1d and helplessly by tatiana manaois.
25. what is your ideal confession scene?
ive got two versions - a show version and a fic version/my ideal version. the show version I think they would do something dramatic, but I don't want it to be after a near death experience or anything. for buck, who has spent his entire life harming himself because he thinks people only care about him when he is dying, I don't think a death bed confession is good for his character. when eddie finally confesses (because in my head its eddie who takes the first step - eddie finally gets to choose his own happiness, and buck finally gets to hear someone say they love him and mean it) I imagine it to be a quiet moment. they’re in eddie’s kitchen, eddie washing the dishes while buck puts chris to bed and buck walks in and just starts putting the dishes away on autopilot, without having to even think about it. and eddie at that moment is struck with the realisation that all along he has been making a home with buck. it’s not just about the kitchen that buck uses more than eddie does. it’s about buck’s jacket hanging on the coat rack beside eddie’s, and the throw that smells of buck because thats the one he always uses on movie nights, and the nearly finished bottle of oat milk in the fridge that only buck drinks. and it isn’t a new realisation by any means, Eddie has known he loves buck for some time now, has known buck is a part of his family for even longer. but in that moment, that realisation knocks him off his feet and he starts seeing visions of a future he has never let himself imagine, and he cant go a single moment longer without saying it. and when he does, he waits for the panic to set in but it doesn't because he feels happy and content and light in that moment. he knows he and buck have been leading up to this moment for a long time.

Taylor Swift Albums Reviews
Hello my lovely blog readers,
I want to thank those of you who stick around through all my crazy rants and long Glee posts. You guys are the real MVPs and I will always appreciate you.
Anyway onto why we're here, in the wake of Taylor rereleasing her albums I found it fitting to take a look back at her discorgaphy so far! Thanks to my good friend Aly, I decided to relisten to all of her albums which the order was randomly decided. I will be talking about the deluxe editions so enjoy!
Let's start off with the first album that was drawn first which was Red.
Tumblr media
One of my favorite albums right off the bat with probably her best album cover. I remember how excited I was for 22, mostly because my girl Dianna Agron's name was in the liner notes. Let's dive into what I thought now about 9 years later!
Favorite Track: Begin Again Least Favorite Track: The Last Time (featuring Gary Lightbody) Bonus Track I Wish was on the main album: All of them!!! Favorite Bonus Track: The Moment I Knew Album Ranking: 6th/9
Overall I adore this album so so much. The only track I didn't care for in the least was The Last Time. I think you'll find a trend with me that my least favorite Tayor tracks tend to be her duets (the exception being Everything Has Changed which is also on this album and is the purest of all). The album has held up and even moreso I love it than the first time I listened. Crazy. Anyway onto the rankings of each song. DISCLAIMER: These are just my opinions and you can disagree with them but please be respectful.
1) Begin Again 2) The Moment I Knew 3) State of Grace (Acoustic Version) 4) I Almost Do 5) Stay Stay Stay 6) All Too Well 7) Everything Has Changed (featuring Ed Sheeran) 8) 22 9) Come Back...Be Here 10) Red 11) I Knew You Were Trouble 12) The Lucky One 13) We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together 14) Starlight 15) Girl at Home 16) Sad Beautiful Tragic 17) State of Grace 18) Holy Ground 19) Treacherous 20) The Last Time (featuring Gary Lightbody)
Honestly I adore this album so much as a whole and ranking every song was so hard. Holy Ground honestly had a lot of potiental I hated the arrangement but if I heard an acoustic version I would be sold, much like State of Grace which I wasn't huge on the original but the acoustic I'm obsessed with. Moving onto our second album which is one of Taylor's newest.
Tumblr media
folklore! Funny enough on first listen I wasn't as into it as everyone else was but trust me, the relisten definitely helped me change my mind. I also heard the lakes for the first time which I loved. Since it's the only bonus track I'm going to say I definitely wished it had made the main album over some of the other songs on it. Let's dive into my thoughts and rankings.
Favorite Track: mad woman Least Favorite Track: invisible string Album Ranking: 9th/9
1) mad woman 2) the 1 3) the last great american dynasty 4) mirrorball 5) hoax 6) peace 7) seven 8) august 9) my tears richocet 10) the lakes 11) cardigan 12) betty 13) illicit affairs 14) epiphany 15) this is me trying 16) exile (featuring Bon Iver) 17) invisible string
Okay I know cardigan and betty being so low is going make people unhappy but honestly I just loved the other songs better listed above it. So many gorgeous songs and a great era for Taylor. It's not my favorite era and still falls in my lower half of her albums but I can appreciate the tracks on it more than I did before with the relisten.
Now onto Taylor's most recent album which came up next in our randomization in evermore
Tumblr media
Unlike folklore on original listen I absolutely adored this album and had it in my top tier Taylor albums but will that opinion hold up? Let's find out.
Favorite Track: no body, no crime (featuring HAIM) Least Favorite Track: gold rush Favorite Bonus Track: it's time to go Album Ranking: 7th/9
1) no body, no crime (featuring HAIM) 2) happiness 3) champagne problems 4) willow 5) cowboy like me 6) dorothea 7) majorie 8) evermore (featuring Bon Iver) 9) closure 10) long story short 11) ‘tis the damn season 12) ivy 13) it’s time to go 14) coney island (featuring The National) 15) right where you left me 16) tolerate it 17) gold rush Okay let's talk about the relisten, it still held up but to me the one thing I didn't love about the album was the bonus tracks didn't add much to the original album so I kind of see why they were bonus tracks. I enjoyed the album none the less and I do think that most of my opinions are somewhat popular. I only see people being mad about 'tis the damn season being so low but honestly 1-11, I loved all the tracks so.
Up next is the rerelease that started it all, Fearless!
Tumblr media
Now let's see after 13 years (hey Taylor's lucky number) if my opinion of this iconic album changed. Back in the day I was so obsessed with this album so let's see how I feel now!
Favorite Track: You're Not Sorry Least Favorite Track: The Way I Loved You Bonus Tracks I Wish was on the main album: Forever and Always (Piano Verison) and Come in with the Rain Favorite Bonus Track: Forever and Always (Piano Version) Album Ranking: 4th/9
1) You’re Not Sorry 2) White Horse 3) Love Story 4) You Belong with Me 5) Change 6) Forever and Always (Piano Version) 7) Fifteen 8) Hey Stephen 9) Come in with the Rain 10) Jump Then Fall 11) Fearless 12) Forever and Always 13) The Best Day 14) The Other Side of the Door 15) Breathe (featuring Colbie Cailaitt) 16) Untouchable 17) SuperStar 18) Tell Me Why 19) The Way I Loved You
I still remember when this album was first coming out how jazzed and excited I was for it. It was highly anticipated for me being that I had fallen in love with Taylor from her debut album and listening back it still holds up as one of my favorite albums. The only two tracks I wasn't into back then and still am not into are Tell Me Why and The Way I Loved You. Other than those two tracks the entire album is incredible to listen to. I'm so excited to hear Taylor's versions of all these songs and who knows maybe my mind will change on some of them.
Moving onto the next album to be randomly selected which is almost every Swiftie's favorite 1989.
Tumblr media
Funny enough, originally this album isn't in my top favorites so who knows if my opinion will change on a relisten. Let's find out!
Favorite Track: Clean Least Favorite Track: I Wish You Would Bonus Tracks I Wish was on the main album: All of them?! Come on Taylor what's up with 1989 and Red having like some of their best tracks as bonus tracks. I'm mad haha. Favorite Bonus Track: Wonderland (gee I wonder why) Album Ranking: 5th/9
1) Clean 2) Wonderland 3) Wildest Dreams 4) This Love 5) You are in Love 6) Welcome to New York 7) Shake It Off 8) Blank Space 9) Bad Blood 10) Style 11) How You Get the Girl 12) Out of the Woods 13) New Romantics 14) I Know Places 15) All You Had to Do was Stay 16) I Wish You Would
Okay listening back. I now get the hype behind it. Listening to it with bonus tracks honestly makes all the difference. No joke. It's a much better album with the bonus tracks added. Honestly if Wonderland and You are in Love were on the main album it would've been top tier to me. Thank God for the deluxe version but team Taylor what is up with you hiding some of her best tracks and only releasing them on the bonus tracks? I'm mad. Also speaking on Wonderland, I adore the song even without the rumours of it being about my favorite celebrity Dianna Agron. Had the bonus tracks been on the main album it would higher but as a whole I love the album.
And now for our next album, which is reputation!
Tumblr media
This is probably Taylor's most controversial albums, some love it and some hate it. I actually am somewhere in the middle. I love some of the tracks while others I could've done without. Let's see where it goes for me listening back.
Favorite Song: New Year's Day Least Favorite: Dancing with Our Hands Tied Album Ranking: 8th/9
1) New Year's Day 2) Gorgeous 3) Don’t Blame Me 4) This is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things 5) I Did Something Bad 6) Dress 7) Delicate 8) Call It What You Want To 9) ...Ready for It? 10) Look What You Made Me Do 11) King of my Heart 12) Getaway Car 13) So It Goes... 14) End Game (featuring Ed Sheeran and Future) 15) Dancing with Our Hands Tied
Okay I feel like my choices here are controversal especially Getaway Car being pretty low on the album. Honestly I liked the song just wasn't into the hype that everyone else said about it, sorry you guys. Also Dancing with Our Hands Tied on the ALBUM is my least favorie song. I absolutely adored Taylor's acoustic version that was in the rep Tour. Had she released that on the album it would be after Look What You Made Me Do. The arrangement on the album I just didn't care for and I prefer acoustic Taylor which I think a lot of you gather from my top picks.
Anyway moving onto to our next album that was randomized which is...Taylor Swift!
Tumblr media
Ah yes the album that started it all. 15 years ago I discovered Taylor Swift via this album thanks to CMT. I was a huge country music stan back in the day who knew how this one album would lead to a career I've been following for 15 years. Now how does this album hold up? Let's find out!
Favorite Song: Should've Said No Least Favorite Song: A Perfectly Good Heart Bonus Tracks I Wish was on the main album: Invisible and I'm Only Me When I'm with You Favorite Bonus Track: Invisible Album Ranking: 3rd/9
1) Should’ve Said No 2) Invisible 3) Cold as You 4) Picture to Burn 5) Our Song 6) The Outside 7) A Place in This World 8) Teardrops on My Guitar 9) Stay Beautiful 10) Tim McGraw 11) I’m Only Me When I’m with You 12) Mary’s Song (Oh My My My) 13) Tied Together with a Smile 14) A Perfectly Good Heart
This album still holds up 15 years later and made me so nostalgic. This had to be the hardest album for songs to rank thus far. Taylor hit it out of the park on her very first album crazy. She set the bar very high, funny enough it's the first album that a bonus track is my least favorite track but the entire album is a great listen, especially if you love country. It's very different from anything else Taylor did but that's what's so charming about it.
And now onto our second to last album which is another one of my favorites and the only album Taylor wrote fully on her own, Speak Now.
Tumblr media
The album cover is up there with Red as my favorite and I'm excited to listen back to this album. I remember how much I enjoyed it when it was first released. Excited to see what I think 11 years later. Let's find out.
Favorite Track: Haunted (Acoustic Version) Least Favorite Track: Last Kiss Bonus Tracks I Wish was on the main album: All of them. Dang it Taylor they deserved to be on the main album. Favorite Bonus Track: Haunted (Acoustic Version) Album Ranking: 2nd/9
1) Haunted (Acoustic Version) 2) Long Live 3) Haunted 4) Better Than Revenge 5) Back to December (Acoustic Version) 6) Mine 7) Back to December 8) Mean 9) If This Was a Movie 10) Innocent 11) Dear John 12) Speak Now 13) Ours 14) Never Grow Up 15) The Story of Us 16) Superman 17) Enchanted 18) Sparks Fly 19) Last Kiss
One of Taylor's absolute best albms and it was incredibly hard to rank these songs. I know people are going to be mad about Enchanted being low but I just didn't love it as much as the other tracks on the album, this after all is one of the best albums she ever released so it's incredibly hard to make the call.
Moving onto our final album which I've called my absolute favorite, Lover.
Tumblr media
It's only been an year since its release but will it hold up as my favorite album? Let's find out!
Favorite Track: Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince Least Favorite Track: It’s Nice to Have a Friend Album Ranking: 1st/9
1) Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince 2) Paper Rings 3) Lover 4) Soon You’ll Get Better (featuring The Chicks) 5) You Need to Calm Down 6) The Archer 7) The Man 8) Daylight 9) Afterglow 10) I Think He Knows 11) False God 12) Death by a Thousand Cuts 13) Cruel Summer 14) Cornelia Street 15) I Forgot That You Existed 16) ME! (featuring Brendan Urie from Panic! at the Disco) 17) London Boy 18) It’s Nice to Have a Friend
Yep it held up. This album is my favorite thing Taylor ever released. It was a tough call because I loved all of her top albums so much. Miss Americana still is my favorite performance which is no surprise, I was obsessed when this song came out 2 years ago. It's Nice to Have a Friend is the weakest track on the album but by no means is it a bad track. The entire album is a great listen all the way through, the only song that's hard to listen to especially if you have a sick parent "Soon You'll Get Better" I literally bawled after I finished it. So if you don't want an emotional song that might make you sad, it's best to skip it even though it's one of favorite tracks.
And that does it for us here. Hope you enjoyed my album reviews! Just to recap here's the rankings of all of Taylor's Albums:
1) Lover 2) Speak Now 3) Taylor Swift 4) Fearless 5) 1989 6) Red 7) evermore 8) reputation 9) folklore
Excited to see what's to come with the rerelease of Fearless and to hear the songs released from the vault. I've heard a few of her unreleased songs and honestly there are quite a few that I'm hoping are released. Thanks for enjoying us on this journey as always be kind and always spread love <3

n̶e̶v̶e̶r̶ grow up
As I write this, there are two things that are true about me:
About a month ago, I turned 20.
The first song on my auto-generated On Repeat playlist on Spotify is Never Grow Up by Taylor Swift.
Maybe it is a birthmonth phenomenon -- I remember adding this song to my 17th birthday playlist when I was just starting to dive into Tay's discography, then playing it all the way to my 18th, 19th, and recently, my 20th. Maybe, I am drawn to the song's acoustic and calming nature. Or maybe, I just need a song to hold on to. Maybe, as I bid my teenage years goodbye, I wanted to hear from someone else's voice the phrase "darling, don't you ever grow up", to give my constant feeling of not wanting to grow up the validation it always wanted to have.
You see, writing -- or should I say ranting -- about not wanting to grow up is not a foreign territory to me. I have wandered in it in daydreams, in poems, in essays, and even in random doodles at the back of my chemistry notes. When I'm not writing about stupid crushes, my sadness, or my loved ones, my go-to topic is how I wish to be a child forever. Childhood is like a fairytale land for me -- there I am innocent, carefree, and most importantly, happy. I have made myself believe that if I try, and wish with all my heart that I'd never grow up, I won't.
I think it's a universal feeling, too, as I watched my older peers tweet about being scared about hitting the two-decade mark in their lives, and my younger friends, about turning a year older. After all, who doesn't want to stay young forever? Who in their right minds would gratefully embrace the responsibilities, and the bills (and the loneliness, perhaps) that come with growing up? Who would want the complications that increase directly proportional with their age?
Not I.
And well, because music eases the pain, and ironically, music listens to my inner desires, I let myself bask in the glorious masterpiece that Never Grow Up is. In the song, Taylor Swift sings what is almost a precaution: how we should never grow up as it could stay this simple, which implies the existence of a not-simple life when you grow up. The song fades out to her singing just never grow up. Because I adore her, and trust her words, I put the song on repeat until it became etched so deeply in my existence that it became who I am.
Except, of course, that didn't happen.
I woke up on a Thursday, 11th of June 2020, a 20-year-old person. And as difficult as it is to say this, even when I have convinced myself for years that the solution to half of my problems is staying a child forever, I present to you my most controversial opinion: I think it's okay to grow up.
We should grow up, because first, that's what is meant to happen naturally, anyway. We are bound to celebrate completing another lap around the sun, because we have stayed on our orbit and found ourselves back at where we started, but this time, a little wiser and stronger. It's okay, because growing up is the only way we can reach milestones, like a year being clean, or a week being productive, or a day of not second-guessing your actions.
We should grow up because even though childhood is warm blankets and tight embraces, big smiles and feeling safe, it is also dependence on breakable things, like kindergarten friends that we would part with after a year because we didn't go to the same primary school, or happiness that a lollipop brings, which lasts for about five minutes only.
We should grow up, because sometimes we carry so much pain from those heartbreaks, and our tiny frames need to grow, and grow, and grow until such time it finally is bigger than anything that could crush us -- until the pain becomes a part of us still, but in a small, dismissible amount.
We should grow up because even if childhood is one big festive, energetic, bright phase of our lives, sometimes all we really need is the tranquil, the quiet, the calm.
We should grow up because sometimes it is the only way we'd be free, and true to ourselves -- when we no longer depend on others, when we have the time to really connect with ourselves.
I admit I still have a hard time convincing myself, too, but I hope we grow up, beautifully and abundantly so.

stay stay stay
Fandom: Fantastic beasts
Pairing: Reader x Newt Scamander
Warnings: none just fluff and angst
Word Count: 3.4k
Summary: based on the song Stay Stay Stay by Taylor Swift, you don't need to know it to enjoy the fic :))) Also not a request, i'm sorry I know I have so many waiting to be written <3
A/N: *Karli screams* COMMUNICATION IS KEY!!!
Tumblr media
It didn’t really take long for six months to go by, though it seems like a long period of time at the start. Once a month is over, so quickly the months after that follow suit, then it is halfway through, just three months to go and suddenly it’s six months later and the time has come. The end.
“Newt.” She almost whispered, completely aware that he was busy, but he was always busy and she had to bring it up eventually, couldn’t just apparate away without a word. He gave a simple hum in response, barely looking up at her for a moment before diving back into his work, still listening. If someone didn’t know him, if someone hadn’t spent the last six months with him they wouldn't know he even knew she was there, but she knew.
“I have three days left.” She continued and he stopped mending the tree the Bowtruckle’s lived in, dropping one of the broken branches and visibly giving her his full attention. “Three days?” He asked like he didn't have a single idea of what she was talking about.
“It’s been six months, i'm set to go back to the Ministry in three days.” Newt averted his eyes, looking back down at the Bowtruckle’s and then looked casually yet frantically around the room, for something, anything to use as an excuse. “But the baby Nifflers are to be born next week, I will surely need help with that.” She thought for a moment before nodding and talking as professionally as she could as her heart cracked a little. “Of course, would you like me to have the Ministry send another Auror for internship to assist you?” (Y/N) was an Auror in training for the Ministry, recently the Ministry has had all Auror’s do an internship, most of them were taken and she had only gotten this one with Newt because Theseus convinced Newt that (Y/N) was different.
“Y/N of course I don’t, I only took you because my brother suggested, I want you to help me.” He wasn’t acting the way she had hoped, he wasn’t begging her to stay, he wasn’t offering her a permanent job as his assistant, he wasn’t acting on any of the feelings that had been visibly building up between the two of them. Newt was being cold, perhaps to protect himself because in his mind, she was leaving, in his mind she wanted to leave so any of the emotions he was feeling for her, she obviously didn't reciprocate or else she wouldn’t be leaving right? Wrong.
She had thought about it to, the different ways this conversation could go, she hadn’t hoped it would be like this. She hoped he would say something about how he never wanted an assistant, but she changed his mind, how he can’t bare to lose her, that after only six months he had fallen for her, or just a four letter word, stay. But he simply suggested she stay for different reasons, sure he technically said he wanted her, but just for help, for work. He was showing that everything that had happened, albeit small actions, meant nothing. Both of them were shy, quiet types but complemented each other well. They were not outgoing in their affections, but since they both had similar ways of expressing the way they felt she surely thought he wouldn’t say goodbye so easy. All the nights they sat too close on the large couch, or tangled their legs together while sitting on opposites sides reading, the way she learned all of his spelling errors while editing his book and never had to ask what he was trying to say, the way he learned exactly how she liked her tea. The way they cared for the creatures together instead of splitting the tasks in half, therefore spending every minute together. There were so many things that made their friendship so much more, capable of more, but maybe this was the end of it.
(Y/N) tried not to get upset, but when it came to Newt she was quite attached, her anger boiled in her chest from both the reaction she hadn’t hoped and the embarrassment of such. “How long would you like me to stay Mr. Scamander.” Newt was thrown off by the way she addressed him, she hasn't called him Mr.Scamander since their first week, unless addressing him to the Ministry. He furrowed his brows, trying to understand her reaction. “Uhm, I’d say about a week, just until everything is settled, if you don't mind.”
“Well I’m supposed to be back at the Ministry in three days, I have a job to go back to, I can ask for the extension but i’m risking my job in doing so. It’s not like I can just stay here forever?” The beginning was laced with anger but the last question trailed off as her voice got quieter, like it wasn’t rhetorical because she actually was asking him. “I suppose not, let me know what the Ministry says.”
She was angry, full blown angry, she wanted him to say she could stay here, not “I suppose not.” She wanted this to mean something more to him, she tried her best to hide her anger as Newt turned back to the Bowtruckles and casually added, “You can use my owl.” She wanted to be calm, not lash out at him for he still had to write a report on her work and she still had three days to work with him if she wanted to keep her job with the Ministry, seeing as she couldn't keep the one she had here like she thought would be an option. She was up the stairs and almost out the door when Newt spoke up again, “Could you pass me my wand, I left it on the table there.” She halted her movements, clenching her fists before picking it up slowly, “Did you forget Accio exists?” She said spitefully as she threw his wand down at him in a huff, almost hitting him. Newt caught it with a frown and before he could speak she had left and he heard the slam of her bedroom door.
Newt was confused about the whole situation that just happened, he couldn't even be sad in peace that she was leaving him, he knew the day would come but he had hoped she would want to stay, after all the adventures and time spent together she couldn't possibly want to go back to an office job, or maybe they were not as alike as he thought. He sat down to write his book adding a few notes on the Bowtruckle chapter as he read it over. He thought for a bit before he connected the dots, he didn't admit it but he realized a while ago that (Y/N)’s anger patterns resembled those of a Bowtruckle, one specific one to be exact. He could never tell her that he found it funny when she was mad because he pictured Pickett acting the exact same way and that made him laugh, he couldn't help it.
He pictured the scene that just took place but instead Pickett threw his wand across the room at him in anger, ridiculous and hilarious, though he realizes he shouldn’t just laugh at someone else's anger, but now that he was no longer confused by why she threw his wand at him, he was now confused about what made her angry enough to throw it in the first place. (Y/N) had seemed upset with him during most of their conversation before, did he say something wrong.
Newt grabbed Pickett who was tucked away into his pocket and brought him out on his hand to face him as he spoke aloud to himself, “Did I say something wrong? One minute we were talking about her leaving in three days, I ask her to stay a bit longer but agree that she has to leave, she gets mad and throws my wand at me? What was I supposed to do beg her to stay? Does she even want to stay? I don't even know if that's what she’s mad about or if it’s something else altogether?” Pickett silently stayed clinging to Newts finger as he continued, “Would you be mad if I didn't ask you to quit your job and stay? You don't have a job but I supposed just asking you to stay at your tree makes you angry enough so I reckon you would.” Pickett stuck out his tongue and crossed his arms in response to that before quickly making his way back to Newts pocket.
Newt thought it over, maybe she did want him to beg her to stay, or at least ask her if she wanted to because he definitely wanted her to stay but he panicked and only asked her to stay a few days extra and made it sound like it was for the Nifflers, like he couldn't care if she was there or not. In reality he could care if she was there, he cared deeply. Newt had gotten so used to having an assistant, it didn't even really change his workload since they did everything together instead of splitting the tasks separately, he would miss the extra company, but most of all he would miss the way she would fall asleep reading and he had to carefully pluck the book from her tired fingers and mark the page, he would miss the sound of her laugh as it filled whatever room they were in, he would miss seeing her get mad at a charm that won't work or something stupid he had done. Like just now, when she knitted her eyebrows, lip slightly pouted and her eyes glaring sharp as knives as she walked away. But it was late, he didn't want to bother her and he still had a few days to figure out how to ask her to stay, how to tell her how he felt because if he was wrong about all this, she would leave soon anyways.

The next morning they were in the kitchen, she wanted to apologize right away, the second she saw his messy morning hair which was really just as messy as any other time of day, thinking about running her fingers through the knotted curls, “We should talk about yesterday.” She said while hiding behind a large cup filled with tea.
“We should.” He agreed yet she still felt a need to explain herself, “I read that you should never leave a fight unresolved.”
“Was that a fight?” He asked with a chuckle prompting her to smile back, “I think so.”
“Okay, one moment.” He said as he grabbed something from his case nearby, leaning down to place it on his head, it was the helmet he kept on hand, usually worn by Jacob for his protection. “Okay, let’s talk.” He said with a beaming crooked smile. She playfully pushed his shoulders making him step backwards with a laugh. “You really are something else, Newt.” She said between laughs trying to hide her smile behind her hand that wasn't wrapped around her cup. “While technically that is talking, the subject is incorrect.”
“Ah yes, I almost forgot.”
“That's a good sign.”
“Why’s that?”
“Because if you have already forgotten it means you aren’t mad anymore, not that you ever stay mad long, not that I mind angry (Y/N) that much anyways.”
“You don't mind me throwing a wand at your head?”
“I think it’s funny when you get mad.”
“Elaborate please.” She said with a sort of questioning look on her face, unsure of in what way he intended it.
“I’d rather not, don't want to see you get mad again so soon, even if it does make me laugh.”
“No, please enlightenment me Mr. Scamander.” She demanded with a raised brow awaiting his explanation.
“Well since we are heading back to last name territory, as much as I may enjoy you calling me that, i’ll oblige since I know you only call me that when you’re being serious.”
“Why else would I use it?”
“That’s off topic.” He said as his cheeks blushed slightly, his mind going to places not appropriate for the current conversation.
“As if we aren't already off topic enough, now elaborate.”
“Well, I mean this in the nicest way of course, an admirable way. Your anger patterns resemble those of a Bowtruckle, specifically Pickett.”
“So when I get mad you think it’s funny because I remind you of Pickett?”
“Yes, does that make you mad, because i'm sure Pickett would be very unpleased.”
“No, I actually think that's funny, I like that you noticed that.”
“Well I spend every minute with the both of you, I notice a lot of things.”
At that confession she couldn’t help but think of what he hadn’t noticed, for someone who claims to spend every minute with someone you’d think they would be able to tell when said person fell in love with them.
“Apparently not.” She voiced mostly to herself in a disgruntled tone.
“What?” Newt was confused, she seemed angry again.
“Nothing, we better go feed the creatures.” She said as she turned a cold shoulder to him and made her way towards the stairs leaving Newt in the same state he was before their “talk” which didn’t even address any of the issues from yesterday. He noticed (Y/N) was good at running away from confrontation, good at ignoring her feelings and focusing on something else especially the creatures.
Newt hurried to catch up with her after taking a moment to stand in the kitchen looking befuddled. He walked up beside her and took the bucket out of her hand holding it for her as she took the leaves and gave them to The Niffler who sat on her back with a tired look on her face, her cage door closed but unlocked because she was way too pregnant to go chasing after gold. (Y/N) had to admit to herself that she was excited for the Niffler to give birth but that also meant it would be time for her to leave and that she was not excited for.
Even thought she was mad at Newt, or maybe more mad at herself, she couldn’t help but chuckle to herself at the sight of the pregnant Niffler.
“Awe honey, it’s hard I know.” (Y/N) spoke in a voice she reserved for a few of the creatures, especially ones that were ill. She pet the short fur on the Nifflers head and cooed as it munched up it’s leaves.
“I think this break from having to chase after her all the time is not helping us prepare for the soon to be multiple miniature ones running around.” Newt joked as he came up beside her, extremely close because he had no concept of personal space with people Like (Y/N), or Jacob who he was so comfortable with. She laughed,a deep laugh that came from her stomach with no warning, it didn't ask permission before it slipped past her lips and into the air for Newt to hear making him smile in response. The sight of his smile made her realize that she had so easily forgotten she was mad at him, so easily fell into this happiness with him, so easily fell into laughter just as easy as she fell in love, but she had to remind herself that he didn't fall with her that time. Her smile turned to frown and his expression mirrored hers, he grabbed her elbow as her hand clenched the leaves she was holding, the Niffler watching expectantly and waiting patiently for more food.
“Y/N, tell me what's wrong, we are laughing one second and then you seem upset again almost immediately, what did I do wrong?” That simple question was all it took for her to explode with all the thoughts she had been withholding for so long.
“It’s just, you carry that bucket for me and told me a joke and made it so easy to forget that I was upset, but then I look at your dumb face and your dumb smile that I can never get enough of and I’m reminded that by next week I won’t see that anymore, I’ll be back at the Ministry carrying my stuff and other people things too and nobody’s gonna make me laugh like you do and I can’t enjoy my last few days with you knowing you don't want me here, knowing you don't want me to stay no matter how badly I want to.” She finished taking in a breath quickly and exhaling just as fast.
“Of course I want you to stay! Please stay, I just thought you wanted to leave, I thought you would have asked to stay if you wanted to, or at least assumed I wanted you here of course I want you here.” He spoke in a comforting calmness that contrasted the dark red of his cheeks from admitting all this and talking so openly.
“I can't stay without being completely honest about how I feel, I want to stay to help the creatures and work with you of course, it’s been a dream these past few months and thinking about being an Auror doesn't excite me in the slightest. I also want to stay for you and I don't know how you feel about me at all because we both suck at communicating but I think you feel the same and I just feel like you took the time to memorize me, my fears, my hopes and the way I take my tea. All the lingering touches and I just know no one else is gonna love me when I get mad and I’ve just been loving you for quite some time and i’ll just stop blabbering now.” She abruptly stopped when she realized how long she had been talking.
“No please, I could listen to you all day.” He said through a toothy smile as his hands ventured from her elbows to her hips. “No, you talk now before I embarrass myself even furthur.”
“You’re not embarrassing yourself, your study was correct, I think I have loved you for a while now too.”
“Good. So then I will stay, to work with you as your assistant.”
“Partner would be best.” He suggested.
“Partner, and to hangout with you and love you and stuff.” She added as she looked up at him, eyes squinted from her smile being so wide.
“I think I could hangout with you for the rest of my life.”
“I’d like that” She replied before he had barely even finished his sentence, the overwhelming happiness she was feeling made her too excited to contain but she tried.
“So does stuff include kissing?” He asked nervously as if he had had never kissed someone before, but she was important and he had waited so long for this he didn't want to mess it up.
“I guess so.” She giggled and Newt smield into the kiss, she could feel the curl of his lips on hers, a terrible first kiss really. His grip on her waist tightened as she pulled away and realized she was still holding a hand full of leaves.
“I should probably finish feeding her, don't wanna make the pregnant Niffler angry.”
“Good idea, we will save the stuff for later.” He teased as he placed his forehead on her shoulder, his curly hair tickling her neck making her smile at such a small gesture that felt so right with him.
“Of course, this is a place of business after all.” She joked as she leaned down to the Nifflers level and Newt leaned down with her placing kisses on her cheeks as she continued trying to work, she could get used to this type of work environment, albeit a bit distracting.
“You know Theseus is going to kill you for managing to steal one of his Auror trainees, what a shame, I know I was a favourite too.”
“Good, maybe now he won't try to send me anymore! Losing his two best Aurors to Magizoology isn’t a good pattern.”
“Neither of us were technically Auror’s Newt.”
“Good and we never will be! Doesn't that sound great, no Aurors, no Ministry, just me and you and-” he paused looking down at the Niffler who looked back up at him- “this little troublemaker here.”
“Don't remind me, we are about to have a lot more of those to deal with.”
“Together though.” “Yeah together.”

Why We Shouldn't Be Surprised Pete Davidson Joked About His Split From Ariana Grande
Tumblr media
Is all fair in love and post-break-up art?
That is the question when it comes to Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson‘s recent split, as the two are now navigating the rocky waters of moving on after such a high-profile and public engagement. And unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like they are exactly on the same page when it comes to addressing their split.
On Thursday, Grande, 25, took to Twitter to seemingly blast Davidson, 24, for using their break-up as fodder in a new Saturday Night Live promo.
“She wasn’t amused by Pete’s jokes at all,” a source close to the “God Is a Woman” singer told E! News. “They made an agreement that they would not address their relationship or discuss it after they split up. He violated that agreement.”
Another source, however, said “it’s not true” that Davidson “violated any agreement.”
And for Davidson, using the darker experiences from his past, the ones other people usually hide away from unless they are sitting on a therapist’s couch, is an integral part of his comedy, and has become one of his stand-up signatures.
“I’m like, ‘Heyyyy, I just want to talk about this, that everybody’s uncomfortable about.’ I like doing that,” he told The New York Times in 2015. “I like making things that are dark, awkward, weird things that you don’t really find funny, funny.”
This often includes referencing his father—Scott Davidson, a firefighter was killed on 9/11—during his routines, a loss that impacted him in the way only losing a beloved parent at seven years old can.
One example of his coping comedy? “I always regretted growing up without a dad…until I met your dad, Justin,” Davidson said to Justin Bieber during the Comedy Central roast for the pop star in 2015. “Now I’m glad mine’s dead.”
If you’re feeling a little unsettled by that joke, well, that was Davidson’s intention, with the 24-year-old’s brand of sort-of-offensive-humor helping him become one of SNL‘s youngest cast members ever.
After his father’s tragic passing, Davidson’s mother told the Times, “It was sad how sad he was growing up,” adding he began acting out in school, and even ripped all of his hair out until he was bald during one particularly rough period.
And then when he was 16, Davidson began doing stand-up. “I feel very safe—you can say whatever you want,” he said.
Making people uncomfortable while on stage is Davidson’s comfort—even when it’s at his own expense, owning his losses before they can possibly be used against him.
And this exactly what he did when he referenced his recent split with Grande his during the promo released for Saturday Night Live‘s Nov. 3 show. In it, Davidson jokingly asks musical guest Maggie Rogers, “You wanna get married?”
When she declines, a sad Davidson says, “0 for three.”
It wasn’t the first time Davidson had brought up the broken engagement—it was just the first time he did it on such a big stage. And his ex-fiancee definitely noticed.
“For somebody who claims to hate relevancy [you] sure love clinging to it huh,” she wrote, adding, “Thank [you], next.” Grande didn’t refer to Davidson directly, but the subtweets were pretty darn clear.
She then retweeted a user who wrote. “SNL is about to milk their breakup just like they did with the engagement” as well as an edited clip of Maggie turning Pete down.

Some people cry. Some people go to therapy. Some people write a song. Davidson takes to the stage, turning his insecurities into comedic ammunition.
“Things that I feel really sad about, I talk about,” he told Interview magazine in 2014. That way, if it’s funny, it doesn’t hurt anymore.”
But is there a line when it comes to talking about his high-profile split with one of the world’s biggest pop stars? There’s a fine line when it comes to personal and private when it relates to art and it’s one Davidson and Grande clearly have a difference of opinions on, which makes sense given their respective careers.
No one is holding punches when it comes to stand-up comedy. Everything and everyone is fair game, for better or for worse.
Music—and more specifically songwriting—however, is all about innuendo and veiled references. Taylor Swift had the entire Internet deducting every lyric (and liner note) with her Red album in 2012, desperately trying to crack the code to figure out which of her ex-boyfriends inspired each song.
“The more it seems like a journal entry the better,” said Swift. “The more it seems like an open letter the better. The more true and honest and real it gets the better,” Swift told Songwriter Universe in 2012. “Where you’re naming the places you went and the time it happened and all the things about a relationship.”
Grande seemed to allude to her break up with Mac Miller (who later died of an apparent drug overdose in September at the age of 26) after years of dating on and off on the song “Better Off.”
While she almost didn’t include the song on the album, Grande explained on Twitter, “[because] at first i was nervous about like……. it coming true. if that makes sense. more honest than i was ready to be w myself at the time (its [very] old). but it’s beautiful and has always been one of my favs and i’m very happy she’s on there.”
She directly referenced her then-fiancee Davidson on a song named after him, which she wrote shortly after they began dating.
“I just made it and I sent it to him and I didn’t know what to call it, so I just called it ‘Pete.’ It was going to be that or like, ‘This Is About Pete Davidson,'” she told Jimmy Fallon. “I was like why not just be direct?”
And she tweeted about the song, telling her fans, “Music lasts forever. It’ll outlive any tattoo, any memory, any anything, even myself so i want my love for him and how i feel to be a part of that.”
But it wasn’t just Grande being direct about their love, as Davidson also talked openly about his romance during interviews and stand-up sets.
During Saturday Night Live‘s season 44 premiere in late September, just before the split, Davidson made several references to his relationship with the pop star.
He told Colin Jost during Weekend Update, “I got engaged and no one could believe it. I can’t believe it and I get it. She’s number one pop star in the world and I’m that guy from SNL everyone thinks is in desperate need of more blood.”
He even discussed their prenup situation, jokingly explaining, “Obviously I wanted one. So God forbid we split up and she takes half my sneakers? No, look, I’m totally comfortable being with a successful woman. I think it’s dope. I live at her place. She pays 60 grand for rent and all I have to do is stock the fridge.”
Clearly, Davidson knew who was “the settler” and “the reacher” in the relationship. The joke was always on him and he was OK with that.
But some of his humor received some backlash during their relationship, especially a joke he made on SNL about switching Grande’s “birth control with tic tacs,” as well as a comment he made about the Manchester Arena bombing during a comedy set in July. Davidson reportedly made light of his then girlfriend’s level of fame by joking, “Britney Spears didn’t have a terrorist attack at her concert.”
A few days after Davidson’s comments, Grande addressed the controversy on Twitter.
In response to one user who said Grande should break up with her fiancé over the insensitive remark, she said, “This has been v tough & conflicting on my heart. he uses comedy to help ppl feel better ab how f-ed up things in this world are. we all deal w trauma differently. I of course didn’t find it funny. it was months ago & his intention wasn’t/ is never malicious but it was unfortunate.”
Post-split, Davidson’s humor about the relationship kept the same self-deprecating angle, including the SNL promo that sent Grande to Twitter.
“Pete never said her name in the joke,” a source told E! News of the comments. “It wasn’t a joke about her, it was self-deprecating.”
And the source continued that Davidson is doing what he usually does during a difficult period of his life: filtering his heartbreak through humor.

“Pete’s way of dealing with the breakup is through jokes, but he’s doing just fine and is moving forward,” the insider said.
Davidson first publicly spoke about the split when he co-hosted the comedy show Judd & Pete for America in October, addressing the elephant in the room pretty damn quickly.
“Well, as you could tell, I don’t want to be here. There’s a lot going on,” Pete told the crowd. “Does anybody have any open rooms? Looking for a roommate?”
In addition to joking about his lack of housing, the comedian also brought up their infamous matching tattoo (which she’s already been covering up post-split).
“So, obviously you know [Ariana and I] broke up or whatever but when me and her first got engaged we got tattoos, and it was like in a magazine like, ‘Was Pete Davidson stupid?’ And 93% of it said yes,” he said. “”So my boy, he was like, ‘Don’t listen to that s–t man. They’re literally f–king haters.’ And I’m like, yeah, f–k that. I’m not stupid. And the other day we were in my kitchen and he was like, ‘Yo bro. Turns out you were stupid.'”
As for Grande, who is prepping for her Sweetener World Tour in 2019, she’s stayed mostly silent, save for some interactions with her fans on Twitter, before taking to the social media platform following the SNL promo to seemingly call out her ex.
“Time to say bye bye to the internet for just a lil bit. It’s hard not to bump news n stuff that i’m not tryna to see rn,” she posted—then deleted—on Instagram Stories in Mid-October. “It’s very sad and we’re all tryin very hard to keep goin. love u. and thank u for bein here always.”
Now, after Davidson’s jokes referencing the broken engagement, a source told E! News that Grande is “really hurt” and knowing he would see her tweets, she “hopes that he will have enough respect to not do it again.”
We guess we’ll all have to wait and see what happens live from Saturday night…

Latest story from https://movietvtechgeeks.com/kendrick-lamar-king-2017-mtv-vmas-plus-winners/
Kendrick Lamar is king of 2017 MTV VMA's plus winners
Kendrick Lamar had his night at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on an evening that was full of impassioned cries for unity and acceptance. Normally this awards show is more flashy and over the top, but with Donald Trump in the White House, things have changed dramatically.   Jared Leto, Pink, Kesha, and Logic all used their time on stage as a platform to shed light on issues that included suicide awareness, mental health and body image. The night also featured an appearance from Susan Bro, the mother of Heather Heyer, who was killed in Charlottesville. Kendrick Lamar kicked off the night, playing news footage of a police brutality report interspersed with Fox News commentary before delivering an audacious, high-energy set, including stunt performers crawling up and down a wall filled with fire. The rapper, who led the night with eight nominations, won for best video, best hip-hop video, best art direction, best visual effects, best cinematography and best direction. Kendrick Lamar was the king of the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, winning six awards on a night full of emotional performances, political moments and a new, eye-popping Taylor Swift music video. Lamar's "Humble" won video of the year, best hip-hop video, direction, cinematography, art direction and visual effects on Sunday at the Forum in Inglewood, California. He also gave an explosive performance of "Humble" and "DNA," backed by ninjas dancing near fire. But the VMAs, hosted by a forgettable Katy Perry with performances by Miley Cyrus and Ed Sheeran, was tamer than most years, not relying on the shock value and wild antics of past shows. Instead, touching performances and powerful speeches took center stage. Logic performed his inspirational song "1-800-273-8255," named after the phone number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. He was joined onstage with suicide attempt survivors as well as singers Alessia Cara (best dance video winner) and Khalid (best new artist winner). Lyrics from Logic's song include: "I don't wanna be alive/I just wanna die today" and "I want you to be alive/You don't got to die today." Kesha introduced the performance and also offered words of encouragement: "As long as you don't give; youup on yourself, light will break through the darkness." Pink was also emotional when she accepted the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, telling the audience a story about her daughter, who was sitting in the crowd with her father Carey Hart. Pink said her daughter recently told her that "I'm the ugliest girl I know ... I look like a boy with long hair." Pink said she then showed her 6-year-old daughter photos of performers such as Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Janis Joplin, George Michael, Elton John and Freddie Mercury. "You are beautiful, and I love you," Pink said to her daughter. Rock singer and Oscar winner Jared Leto remembered Linkin Park's Chester Bennington, who hanged himself in July. Leto also mentioned Chris Cornell, who hanged himself in May. "I think about his band, who were really his brothers, and I remember his voice," Leto said of Bennington. "That voice will live forever." "Hear me now, you are not alone. There is always a way forward. Reach out. Share your thoughts. Do not give up," Leto added. The night also featured political moments focused on the Aug. 12 rally in Charlottesville, Virginia that turned violent after Nazis and white nationalists opposed to the city's plan to remove a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee clashed with counter protesters. Heather Heyer, 32, was killed when a car plowed into a crowd. The Rev. Robert Wright Lee IV, a descendent of Gen. Lee, told the audience: "As a pastor, it is my duty to speak out against racism, America's original sin." Heyer's mother then entered the stage, telling the audience: "Only 15 days my ago, my daughter Heather was killed as she protested racism. I miss her but I know she's here tonight." Bro announced The Heather Heyer Foundation, a nonprofit that will award scholarships and "help more people join Heather's fight against hatred." Paris Jackson also spoke out against hatred. "We must show these Nazi white supremacist jerks in Charlottesville, and all over the country, that as a nation with liberty as our slogan, we have zero tolerance for their violence and their hatred and their discrimination. We must resist," Michael Jackson's eldest daughter said before presenting an award. Lamar's performance kicked off the three-hour show, followed by the premiere of Swift's video for "Look What You Made Me Do," which featured the singer dressed like a zombie in one scene and surrounded by slithering snakes in another. The video for the track, rumored to be a diss toward Kanye West, also featured Swift in a tub of diamonds, a cat mask, and a car that crashed (she was holding a Grammy). The clip ended with a dozen of Swifts - in memorable outfits she's worn in the past - symbolizing how the singer felt the media has portrayed her through the years. Swift and Zayn, who didn't attend the show, won best collaboration for "I Don't Wanna Live Forever." Jack Antonoff and Sam Dew, who wrote the song with Swift, accepted the award. Sheeran performed his hit, "Shape of You," and was later joined by rapper Lil Uzi Vert. Sheeran won artist of the year, a new award established after MTV eliminated gender categories like best male and female video. "Thank you to all the fans," Sheeran said. Fifth Harmony, who lost a group member last year and released their first album as a foursome last week, won best pop video for "Down." Ally Brooke and Dinah Jane of the group were in tears as they accepted the award alongside Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, and rapper Gucci Mane. "This is honestly so unreal. Thank you to God and thank you to our families," Jane said. Fifth Harmony started their performance standing on high platforms to sing "Angel," then falling backward like superheroes. They followed it with the upbeat "Down," taking a break from singing to perform intense choreography. Later, water rained on the four girls, who dropped their microphones at the end of the performance. Lorde, who had the flu, danced throughout the performance of "Homemade Dynamite" instead of singing it, wearing a tin foil half dress, pants, and sneakers. Lamar's win for video of the year beat videos by Bruno Mars, DJ Khaled, the Weeknd and Cara. "Despacito," which was snubbed in the video of the year category, lost the only award it was nominated for: song of summer. Lil Uzi Vert's Top 10 hit, "XO Tour Life," won the prize. Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's international hit is the most viewed video on YouTube and currently No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. MTV said Universal Music Latin Entertainment didn't submit the video, while the record label said they weren't asked to send in the clip. Shawn Mendes, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Perry, with guest Nicki Minaj, performed during the show. Rod Stewart, DNCE, and Demi Lovato sang remotely from Las Vegas.
