Hi everyone, this is my last semester of uni, and one of my final projects to be able to graduate is to write a scientific paper. I'm writing an article about adult fans of children's animation, specifically Miraculous Ladybug. My goal is to understand what makes adults (like us) want to join fandoms centered around shows aimed primarily at children, and to do that I'd love to hear directly from the source! meet Bernie!

originally named Bernadetta (but she just goes by Bernie) it was build in 1949, with strong mechanisms destined for factory work and a red matter core installed at the back of her head - to keep it as high and far away from dangerous tools and chemicals as possible. it did great in it's work - until a tragedy from the shoreline made general attitudes more and more hostile towards the "robots"

after the story of Giewont broke the news, Bernie's work got tougher as people all around her either feared or outright despised her for what she was. when one day it finally fought back against the harassment, her anger was too great to control. it ended up seriously injuring two of her co-workers and losing its job

with no place in the world that deemed her dangerous, she stuck to the only thing that brought her relief - anger. with all the injustice that happened to her, she decided to pin the blame on the one who started it all - Giewont. it didn't help that her now biggest enemy escaped the country and was never caught. Benrie promised itself to get its revenge one way or another, resentment getting worse with each day she was stuck in the smoking ruins of a hostile country while Giewont left god knows where.

but there was another thing that kept her going. messing around with nothing to life for, Bernie found refuge in creating films. hanging around the producers and actors, perfecting the craft, it found itself amongst the creative group of people who inspired each other. and she drank it all in, sticking out even more from the crowd - if that's even possible with a plasma-ball like head. she also picked up a fancy for motorcycles :]

still, the general public opinions on robots didn't change. that's why it found itself on a mission - to Make Them Understand. because surely, once everyone knows the Truth, they wouldn't treat her so bad. they would know better.

set on her quest to create a movie conveying the Absolute Truth, it found itself in a role of a screenwriter and a director - still, no actors could play their roles as well as she imagined. and so, it's still lead on by three things that power her - revenge, inspirstion and the need to Show Them All

but behind it all. she's still such a loser<3

“Which one?”

“Weekend at Bernie’s,” Andrew tells him.

“Never seen it.” Neil says, then his expression brightens. His voice is almost dreamy when he says, “While I was invisible, I heard you ask. And Kevin remembers me. He thought I was a decent backliner.”

“Congratulations, a ten year old thought you were skilled.”

“Shut up. He’s the best in the game, he knows what he’s talking about!”

“And what if he’d said you were shit?” Andrew asks, watching Neil’s face contort into a pout. 

“Then I would’ve believed it.” Neil dips his finger into the knife-gouge puddle and flicks the water off. “I played striker in high school. I was pretty okay at it I think. Next to Kevin I would’ve looked like an idiot.”

“Most people look like idiots next to Kevin.”

“True. Your striker sub makes me cry sometimes,” Neil with a roll of his eyes. “The other day when you were at practice, I watched her trip over her own racquet.”

“She’s lucky Kevin didn’t notice that.”

“Yeah,” Neil smiles and gives him a look. “Do you feel better now?”

After taking the last drag of his cigarette, Andrew nods and flips the butt into the bushes below. He does feel a bit better. A bit further away from the past. Cigarettes and Neil are the cure for a lifetime of misery, even if cigarettes are poisonous and Neil is exy-obsessed.

i won't shut up yet because i need all of you to watch and enjoy It's a Wonderful Knife. i seriously can't recommend it enough. the majority of the characters are gay. there's a cool lesbian aunt that we all wish we had. the main couple has great chemistry. the forehead kiss at the end killed me. find you someone that looks at you the way bernie looked at winnie the entire movie. it's great seriously. and so much fun!!! so worth it!!! please watch it!!!

NGL but...

Since this month is MerMay (I was hoping to draw Mermaid!Mothra, but I'm running out of time 😭), I have a crazy idea running my mind...

P.S. This might be the most funniest (shittiest) Kongzilla fic IDK why I should pull this...🙃

So it starts here...

What if after Godzilla consumes a lot of Tiamat's radiation on her lair and after a battle between the icy grandma and the bald tyrant son-of-a-bitch together with Kong on his side and went home to his coliseum to sleep, he woke up the next day finding his lower half of his own body is replaced by Tiamat's other half of her body?!?!

Now I imagine himself struggling to get up, even destroying half of the human population and the buildings before he managed to reach the sea and swims deeper and guess what? HE FUCKING SWEARS FOR ABOUT WHOLE HOURS.

Tiamat's (and even Scylla's) spirit is seen laughing her (their) ass off because she believes that Tiamat's lair might have laid "a curse" on his act for handing over her lair and the radiation reserves, and an attempt murder yeeesh. Godzilla can't sense because they were dead duh.

Then Godzilla travels back to his old home and goes into one of the Hollow Earth's portal in order to stop this "abominational curse".

Once there, he met Suko while on a hunting trip looking for food. The little ape was flabbergast yet he even laughed at him before Godzilla threatens him to incinerate or his kind, so Suko reluctantly guides the King of the Monsters to the newly built place for the Great Apes where Kong - now King Kong - is their new leader.

Once there, Kong was shocked to see him in his "not so normal state". Most of the Apes are seen snickering while others cannot hold on their laughters, and a few were scared because of his past actions that happened during the war of his and Skar King's history.

While even Kong cannot help but feel empathy of his former-enemy-turned-friend, he decided to seek Mothra out for help. He leaves his kind behind with only Suko and Shimo to guard them down while the two are travelling miles away.

There will be some scenes like Godzilla 'trips' himself right in front of Kong's chest, and Kong was like "WTF bro?! Why're you looking at me?!"; the two eating from their meals they had just hunting down and when their hands touched one another from trying to get that food, they stared like few minutes before breaking their sight out; Kong soothing Godzilla down after having nightmares of his father's death from the MUTOs; both talking about their lives from worse to better; friendship stronger; Godzilla admiring the Hollow Earth and how Mothra had fully evolved into her Rebirth form; etc.

Slowburn Kongzilla was there...

As the two reached from the Iwi borders, Mothra appears to them in the crystal-like temple (Jia, Ilene Andrews, the Iwi Queen, Trapper and Bernie were there; and I cannot imagine about them were flabbergasted about Godzilla's sudden appearance). Godzilla was happy to see her, and Mothra reveals that Tiamat's power has something to do with his form changing. The only way to break out this abominational curse is to "profess your former enemy's self-hatred."

Well, Godzilla already knew that, he cannot but least he told Mothra that he loved her very much, and the moth half-jokingly tells him he is BISEXUAL, I swear Godzilla dislikes that because he is a STRAIGHT MAN, but Mothra knew it otherwise because she can read his mind.

So anyway, Godzilla leaves, but Kong and Mothra follows him. Then there will be arguments, and Godzilla finally had enough. He confessed his feelings for Kong, and Kong was stood still in silence, but he feared about the Queen of the Monsters and Defender of the Iwi Tribe will beat him. However, Mothra never shows anger, but was simply proud about regaining their friendship and allied one another, most of all, feelings~

So the two male Alphas held their hands each other, finally professing their love...and THEY KISS~

...And Godzilla woke up with a loud scream, finding himself back to his cozy 'bed'. Mothra was there cuddling to her husband and just woke up from his scream. Then the King checks himself and his body, only to find out he's back to his normal body. He is happy yet scared about that shit until his wife calms him down, saying it's just a dream and nothing else. Godzilla couldn't help but feels his guts wanted to vomit out butterflies all because he will NEVER EVER gonna accept the fact about his relationship to Kong...

When Mothra falls asleep, Godzilla couldn't help but feels something was off to his matters.

"...Maybe this dream wasn't so real after all...or Kong's not really bad too."

...because this is only training. but bernadetta's mind strays, flares with some amalgamation of terror and awe, and cannot help but think: what if that had been a real person? what if she had been that dummy? and would that happen to bernie if she ever angered lady edelgard?!—

(bernadetta lets out a sigh of relief in remembrance that she is an eagle.)

but, her presence does not escape her house leader's attention, and she squeaks with a startle once their eyes meet:  "la-lady, lady edelgard! it's not what you think! lady edelgard, i wasn't cowering at your giant royal muscles as you totally obliterated that training dummy with your killer axe, lady edelgard! noooo! i'm sorry!"

Relief washes over the budding emperor at the visage of her fake training foe crushing into two, using a free hand to wipe at her forehead and swooshing stray locks away with a graceful maneuver. Edelgard is ever observant— It is that familiar shade of purple amidst a sea of silence that has her turning on her heel. An otherwise bright spot against the sanded grounds and obliterated tools. She purposefully points her axe towards the floor and tilts her head as she locks eyes with her.

The lined lips and steeled eyes sitting across her face replace themselves with risen brows and widened pupils. She cannot particularly deny those words— Her hues wander towards the crushed dummy left in the dust by her actions. "Is.. that so? Come now. I am only this way because I must." Fingers trace the axe in her grasp, then peer at her forearm. "..— You've no reason to fear yourself, Bernadetta."

It is she who strides closer; she who flicks the axe atop her shoulder and inches in expectance. The Adrestian heir knows of the potential in front of her, even if she finds herself somewhat perplexed by the greeting. "There's no use keeping your distance from me now that I'm aware of your presence. If we train alongside one another, your strength could very well match my own."

Friends, country men, women and they/thems of the court. It was with great leave of my senses that last week I considered closing this account, destroying all my artwork, deleting my fanfiction and never uttering the name Bernie Wolfe ever again.

(It was a very brief leave of my senses, a split second intrusive thought. Let's be real I've put too many years into this blog and I REALLY cant draw any one else at this point)
