okay but have you considered

the fourteenth doctor takes donna and rose (noble) to pride. rose gets on the doctor's shoulders and they have the best freaking time.

donna has her best friend back and the most beautiful daughter in the world.

rose has the undying love and support of her mother, who she's never seen happier than she is at this point in her life. there's no sadness in her eyes. not anymore. she has the doctor who she feels like she knows fully, though he's only been around for a little while, as her goofy amazing uncle and loves him so fiercely for everything he was and is and has been to her mum.

...and the doctor. his happiness just grows. day after day after day. he's so incredibly unburdened.

he has his low moments where he thinks about river and amy and rory. clara. bill. rose (tyler). yas.

but he finally feels unapologetically himself and he holds donna's hand as they walk around, with rainbows painted on their faces... wearing nonbinary pins and waving trans flags because all these things matter.

they matter more than the secrets of the universe or where his next incarnation is now or what he's up to... who he's with...

he feels rose's light weight on his shoulders, and donna brushing her thumb over his knuckles and he's back. he's here, at pride 2024, and he's in the moment.

...and it's brilliant.

he smiles feeling the TARDIS key in his pocket. no more worrying about the future. just enjoying the present.

the 1x10 ‘break up’ with the context we have now is so 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 TK saying that not only is he not sure what they are but also not sure of if he’s in the right state and Carlos just making a joke and accepting it as if his entire life hasn't change since TK walked into it. as if he doesn't finally feel right. as if he doesn't see TK as his soulmate. as if he wouldn't feel driftless again if TK walked back out.

and his dumb little joke about the world not ending and then there's a solar storm that's the reason TK has a change of heart and allows them to be together like the universe had to intervene and that's the power of soulmates baby!!!

Etho was Grian's most loyal spy. And Grian was happy. Not only was this helping the Resistance win, but Grian was getting closer with Etho by the day.

It was that exact thing he had been thinking about when he heard a voice interupt his thoughts.

"Grian. We need to talk."

"Etho! I was just thinking about you! What do you want to talk about?"

"I wanted to ask if you'd like to -uh - it you'd want to maybe go out with me? It doesn't have to be anything fancy and you don't have to-"

Grian stepped over to Etho and took his hands.

"I'd love that a lot."

"Do you want to enact the sword?" There was a sense of certainess in Etho's tone, as if he knew the answer would be a resounding yes.

He was right, of course, as Grian yelled out "Yes!" very excitedly.

As he did, Etho made his way over and tackled the avian in a tight hug.

"I missed you."

It was said clear as day in the deafening silence that existed this high up. Both knew they missed eachother, but they also knew that below them their friends were fighting.

"I wish we could stay like this. Up here."

"I do too, Etho. But we both know that wouldn't be fair to everyone else."

Etho gently pulled away from the hug and stood up, reaching out a hand to Grian.

"We should go on a date after this. After we get back to Hermitcraft, I mean. I don't think any date would be very romantic at this stage of the server."

This earned a light laugh out of Grian and the two began walking to the ladder.

"I am your sword. Tell me what to do."
