Energy Update: July 2024
Tumblr media
July is a “6” Universal Month [7 (July) + 8 (2024) = 15 = 1 + 5 = 6] in an “8” Universal Year. Six months are connective and somewhat comforting; we tend to reconnect with our Others after the rough conflicts of the “5” month that came before. This is somewhat at odds with the month’s transits, which are pushing us forward and outward. We are in the liminal phase where something has ended, but the new beginning hasn’t happened yet; not really.
The Set Up
We begin the month with the Sun, Mercury, and Venus in Cancer, Mars and Uranus in Taurus, Jupiter in Gemini, retrograde Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, and retrograde Pluto in Aquarius. When you include our North Node and Chiron sitting in Aries, we still have a long line of planetary activation stretching from the last signs of the horoscope (Aquarius and Pisces) through the first signs of the horoscope (Aries through Cancer). After this month, the cluster will break, but for now, we are still stuck in this in-between energy.
By the end of July, the Sun and Venus will have moved on into Leo, Mercury will have moved all the way through Leo and onto Virgo (starting the pre-shadow phase of its next retrograde cycle), and Mars will enter Gemini. Additionally, Neptune will retrograde at 29° Pisces.
The Nitty Gritty
There is a notable lack of major planetary aspecting during July because all of our personal planets are still so closely stacked together. Instead, we see repeat activation between these planets and the lunar nodes in Aries. Cancer is the midway point between our North Node in Aries and our South Node in Libra, and we are at a turning point late in this lunar cycle. We have one last set of eclipse to get through before our nodes switch to Pisces-Virgo with the new year, and it’s starting to show. This is crunch time – whatever has been coming up in our lives around the themes of independence (Aries) versus codependence (Libra) is coming to a head.
We are experiencing these nodal hits thrice over: the first time through a sextile while the planets are in Gemini, a second time in square while they are in Cancer, and a third time in trine while they transit Leo. Things will be easier and then more difficult and easier again. But easy, when it comes to the lunar nodes, is really just a matter of perspective. The lunar nodes can be read as a compass pointing in the sky, away from the South Node’s current position and towards the North Node’s current position. Where the North Node is needs work – it is where we are heading.
Whether that’s a good or bad thing is up for debate. The lunar nodes happen to us—they create the eclipse cycles that enact the greatest moments of change in our lives. Like the influence of the outer planets, eclipse cycles are beyond our comprehension; at best, we can control how we react to them.
In essence, the days of nodal activation throughout the month (of which there are many) are days to watch out for. Let’s take a neutral stance here—eclipses help when we need doors opened but can also slam doors shut that we shouldn’t walk through. If you are on top of things and paying attention, you can use days like this to determine where your life is headed. Eyes wide open is the name of the game all month long.
Lunar Nodal Activation Dates:
7/2 – Sun in Cancer square the lunar nodes, 7/9 – Mercury in Leo trine the North Node in Aries/sextile the South Node in Libra, 7/12 – Jupiter in Gemini sextile the North Node in Aries/trine the South Node in Libra, 7/19 – Venus in Leo trine the North Node in Aries/sextile the South Node in Libra
Each of these dates will be highly liminal (7/2, especially as it is also the date that Neptune stations retrograde) and can be used for divination, pathworking, dreaming, and other magics with which this type of energy is naturally augmented. Stare aware of what happens to you during this time and believe it. Sometimes, difficult truths are revealed through lunar node activation; looking them straight in the eye is better than burying your head in the sand.
Likewise, Chiron – our Wounded Healer – is also in Aries and will be our other major player of the month. To gain a better perspective, we should take a wider step away and discuss how these move around the horoscope wheel. Chiron, like our planetary bodies, moves forward through the horoscope wheel while our North Node, as a mathematical point in the sky, moves backward through the signs. These two have already met and passed each other – Chiron is nearing the end of the Aries, and The North Node is nearing the beginning. This has made Aries (and, by default, the other cardinal signs) the seat of change in the world right now. And since it’s Aries, it is quite the hot seat.
I’ve written a lot about how this whole era we’re in has a major theme of “change before you have to,” which is running afoul of our very human urge to do the exact opposite of our best interests.
There’s a line between standing up for ourselves, allowing each other to BE ourselves, and being a collective that sees each other and cares for the whole that we’re just not getting right. This long-term opposition between the North Node and Chiron in Aries and the South Node in Libra fully represents this in the skies. Whatever this story means to you – whether you’ve been seeing it in the news, experiencing it personally in your life, or ignoring it all together; this chapter of it is ending.
And it fucking hurts. Let’s take a minute to stop and acknowledge the very real pain that most of us (I suspect it’s all of us) are feeling. The aloneness of the quarantine – that was Chiron in Aries. The way that it’s been triggering you every time you realize that your parents don’t actually see you as a separate human being – that’s this whole opposition coming into play. Has your friend group completely fallen apart? South Node in Libra. Has your relationship? Same. We can infer that, in general, what the South Node removes is for the greater good, but with Chiron so involved, it does not feel this way.
If every fiber of your being hurts, you are right on time. And I’m sorry. As somebody who has Chiron on my Ascendant, I can attest to how much it sucks to have to feel all of the pain that Chiron brings to the party.
We’ve got about six more months of this intense Chiron action interconnected with the lunar nodes, and then the nodes will move on. Sure, we all need to sit with this Chiron in Aries energy for another couple of years, but it won’t be involved in our eclipse cycles any longer. That will be a huge relief.
I can also say that, like eclipse/Node energy, Chiron is best faced with your eyes wide open. Chiron is the cosmic reminder that shit is compost and all decaying matter feeds life once more. Fields need to lie fallow. Pain is a signal that can be followed to a source. Sometimes, it’s faulty wiring. Sometimes, you can even replace that wiring. This tends to take a lot of self-compassion, and there doesn’t seem to be much going around – do what you can. Treat yourself like your favorite pet or houseplant.
Chiron days to stay aware of:
7/6 – Venus in Cancer square Chiron in Aries, 7/15 – Sun in Cancer square Chiron in Aries, 7/18 Mercury in Leo trine Chiron, 7/30 – Venus in Leo trine Chiron
All of these dates could be used for healing magic of all kinds.
This month, our big day to look out for is 7/15, when Mars conjuncts Uranus at 26° Taurus. This is an accident waiting to happen, so don’t do anything stupid. Avoid unnecessary travel, don’t play with fireworks, etc. The Sun is square to Chiron all day, too, so it has the potential to really hurt. This isn’t a reason to panic – this is an astrological weather report; whereas some days you might need to bring an umbrella, this is the kind of day where you might want to stay inside. Metaphorically speaking, of course.
Our day to look forward to for the month is our full moon on 7/21, which is a true astrological blue moon – meaning it’s the second moon in a row in the sign of Capricorn. This is highly auspicious and doubly so because we also have two new moons in Capricorn this year (one in January and another in December!). Sitting at 29° Capricorn, it will call in a lot of the energy of Pluto, who is sitting at 00° Aquarius, inching its way back toward Capricorn one last time.
Again, note the intense cardinal sign activation that is happening all month. This full moon will also tie in Chiron in Aries through a wider square. Heads up to anybody with their lights or personal planets in late Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn – now can be your time if you can get through the pain enough to see the change. Y’all are stubborn folks, so I have faith in your capabilities.
This moon, along with the full moon on 6/21 at 01° Capricorn, are great days to do any long-form intentional work towards money, finances, career, or any task that involves structure. Work with the moon’s cycles here: where do you want to be in six months when the moon is new in Capricorn once more? But stay aware that Saturn will crash your party whether you invite them or not, so you might as well extend an official invitation.
The numerology of this full moon is 5/2. [0 (Capricorn Moon) + 4 (Cancer Sun) = 14 = 1+4 = 5. 5 (Capricorn full moon) + 6 (July 2024) = 11 = 1+1 =2.] There’s a chance to break a cycle (5) that can become the start of something new (2).
Our new moon on 7/5 is at 14° Cancer and should be more low-key. The moon is in its home in the sign of the crab, making this day especially lunar and watery. If ever there was a day to wash wash wash it all away – either with a mop or the ocean waves, it is a Cancer Moon. The numerology of the day is 8/5 [4 (Cancer Moon) + 4 (Cancer Sun) = 8. 8 (Cancer New moon) + 6 (July 2024) = 14 = 1+4 = 5.] The innate 8 energy echoes that of the moving tides; it ebbs and flows. We see the echo of the 5 energy of change and movement throughout this month.
Otherwise, the seasons shift as we move deeper into summer energy all month. There’s an echo of egoic Leo energy in the air all month long as all three of our more moveable personal planets move through the sign of the lion. It’s summer when, most of all, we really start to feel ourselves. Remember, this isn’t a bad thing. Do a bit of magic to remind yourself how much of a badass you are. As a little treat.
Neptune will retrograde, but we won’t really notice as it’s so slow-moving anyway. We need to keep an eye on Mercury, though, as it is whipping through the summer signs before its mid-summer retrograde. The crossover from Fixed to Mutable signs is highlighted here as Mercury will retrograde from 04° Virgo to 21° Leo starting in early August. Be aware. I will be writing more about this soon.
Months that begin with the sign of the crab on the horizon are usually emotional and moody, and this is no exception. Remember that it’s okay to tread water when things get too deep, and you can let the rip current take you – eventually, it will let you go, and you can swim to shore. It’s when you fight it that things can go really wrong, really quickly.
Practice your very best self-care. Treat yourself with the same kindness that you would your most loved Other. If you’ve got anything left after that, extend it to as many of your Others as you can.

🍓The Ascendant & Descendant 🍓
Aries rising with Libra Descendant- your personality is strong and energetic. Everything you do, you do with passion. You are led by Mars, and therefore you can often be quick-tempered and do things without thinking. You know how to put your needs before others. You can be selfish when it comes to your own needs. You take care of yourself by playing sports, doing various adrenaline-filled things. You are very passionate, competitive. Your energy can always be felt on the outside and you are not afraid to show your emotions and anger. You are brave and often take risks. You go into things without thinking too much about them, you just go and see how it goes.
Libra Descendant- in relationships they can be flirty, you may find it hard to stop because you can also be very picky when it comes to relationships. The right person for you is the one who can balance you, give you harmony and support. It means that you seek a partner who is brave enough to desire partnership, despite knowing how vulnerable emotional commitment can make you. It's wanting someone unafraid to love love. Your ideal partner is elegant and graceful. They accept that you need a lot of space and independence is important to you. You are an active person by nature, and you need someone who teaches you balance but also supports you in your ventures. In the relationship, it is probably you who makes the most decisions. You are a leader, and you get along the best with someone who prefers to be led.
Taurus rising with Scorpio Descendant- your personality is calm, stalin, grounded. You only give your energy to those who really deserve it. You can do many things yourself. I noticed that taurus rising people are very independent people, that they can be themselves no matter what. You invest a lot in material things. You like good food, watching TV, going to the cinema, listening to music, sleeping, lounging. You take things slowly and don't like too much change.
Scorpio Descendant- in relationships, you like privacy, you like that someone is only yours. You don't like to enter into a relationship if you see that it is not on the same level. In relationships, you can be very possessive, deep, persistent. Scorpio descendant, you naturally gravitate towards intense, transformative partnerships and may face power struggles or hidden dynamics. The descendant in Scorpio indicates that you are unconsciously attracted to people who stir up your everyday life, and who are magical in some way. They can be either be quite dramatic themselves or dramatic things happen to them/around them, but they for sure push you out of your comfort zone. If this energy is not properly integrated, your partner can turn your life upside down. Extreme situations are not uncommon when Scorpio is involved.Your partner is the most familiar with this side of you.
Gemini rising with Sagittarius Descendant- your personality is very open (you can start a conversation with anyone). Communication is part of you and you like people who are communicative and especially people who are interesting. You have a very changeable personality and you can change a lot in yourself and around you. Although you don't change your appearance that much, but when you do, it really makes a big difference. As a person who is willing to listen but prefers to talk. Sometimes you can say things that may not be appropriate because your mind is so fast that you don't even realize what you are saying. With Gemini on the Ascendant, you may lack a deep need to find answers to life’s big questions. It’s not that the concept of “truth” is not important to you, you just choose to spend your precious time on other endeavours, and may take things more at face value.
Sagittarius Descendant-in relationships you like to explore and you like independence. You are attracted to people who are educated, intelligent, interesting. You can sometimes be a little unstable and take a new step too quickly. You might be deeply attracted to love relationships with a partner who has a background quite different from your own, either culturally or with lifestyle beliefs. These differences can stimulate and inspire you. You can be too optimistic about others. When under pressure, you can get stuck in your own little world, and you can’t find the solution without stepping back and taking a look at the bigger picture. You want a partner who is funny, fiery, likes to travel, likes different things.
Cancer rising with Capricorn Descendant- your personality is private, moody, emotional. You perceive many things through emotions, and you can also have many needs..You are very sweet , showing a willingness to extend their arms wide for a person in need. They provide a certain type of warmth that puts people at ease, even to their casual acquaintances. While they might come across as reserved, shy, or cautious when meeting new people, Cancer risings are warm and friendly once they feel comfortable. While Cancer risings can appear quiet and reserved on the surface, they are extremely motivated and driven when it comes to creating security for themselves or their loved ones. This ascendant has an inherent craving for financial safety, driving them to work diligently toward achieving their goals. They naturally tap into their intuition in terms of what move they should make next or what decision is financially sound. You are open and act as a person very open to conversation. You tend not to show your tender or shy side in front of others. But you don't really like meeting new people or going to parties.

You are also very kind to others.
Gemini Descendant-communication is very important in this regard. The person may have good thinking and may listen to you. Also suggests that you are attracted to people who radiate with the energy of the Twins. (and perhaps you are intimidated by them at the same time). The descendant in Gemini indicates that your ideal relationship is based on intellectual connection. You are attracted to people who are witty, smart, great conversationalists. You are usually interested in air signs in general. Mental connection is more important to you than emotions in the long run. You need a partner to point them out and show you what you need to pay attention to. You learn a lot from your relationships with others. You also teach your partner, for you, relationships that support growth are the best. People with this placement enter relationships out of curiosity. They want to explore what it means to be in a union. This can indicate more than one committed long-term relationships or marriages.
Capricorn Rising with Cancer Descendant-your personality is very strong (many times people perceive your energy just by your silence - you can say more with silence than with words). You have courage and always know what you are doing. You have no mercy for people who hurt you and once you lose respect for someone you become very rude to that person and they are like trash to you. Respect and loyalty are very important to you. If you give and invest energy in someone, then you expect the same in return. You don't like to wander if you feel that it will just be a waste of time. You always stand proud and tall and aware of your worth. You don't judge others and you are very understandable to yourself. But you have rules that people can follow. When you really love someone then there are no limits here and you would do a lot for the person. You are not interested in others and you always know how to look after yourself.
Cancer Descendant-you seek partners who can give you the nurturing and emotional security you needed as a child. The descendant in Cancer indicates that your ideal partner has high emotional intelligence, they are warm and supportive, and they give you an emotional background. In some cases, you want a partner who is a homemaker. In your relationships, you feel that you can finally show your sensitive side. You are caring and protective of your partner. The descendant in Cancer suggests that you can experience the emotional security to be vulnerable in your close relationships and marriage. Your ideal partner helps you connect with your emotional side and encourages you to listen to your intuition every now and then. Ideally, your partner looks after you and they support you. You come across as reserved and serious, and other people who have warmer energy balance you out.
Aquarius Rising with Leo Descendant- your personality is different from others, maybe sometimes you feel like you don't belong with other people or you simply do the opposite of what others do. You are rebellious and do things the way you think is right. Maybe you can seem less approachable and more distant to people. You embody an intriguing blend of open-mindedness and progressiveness, all while maintaining an unemotional composure that can sometimes come across as aloofness. You may be forward thinker with opinions, but you are fixed, rigid nature can also come across as stubborn and dogmatic, if you are not careful. U are a very independent and freedom-loving person. You appear a bit unconventional and shy, but you have amazing ideas and you are smart. However, it can be hard for you to get support from others. The need for freedom of Aquarius can be challenging when it comes to relationships-you want to be attached and detached at the same time.
Leo Descendant-in a relationship you are looking for fun, openness, playfulness. You want a relationship where you can be seen. You learn to express yourself with warmth and genuine appreciation of others. This helps you connect with others more easily, and improves your relationships as well. It is one of the most important lessons of the descendant in Leo. For a long-term relationship to work out, your partner must recognize your need for independence and respect your boundaries. They have to understand that you need a lot of space in a relationship. You are not the right partner for clingy people with your descendant in Leo and ascendant in Aquarius. Your ideal partner also has to respect your need for making things better. Aquarius is all about rebellion and revolution. You are looking at old structures from a new perspective and wonder about topics like social equality and creating better systems. If your partner doesn’t understand the way your brain works, you sooner or later feel that you have to get out of the relationship. You expect to be the one and only in their life and you are not willing to put up with anything less than being treated as a royalty. Giving each other enough relationship is key in your close-relationships. Your ideal partner is a born leader. They are courageous, fun-loving, gregarious, enjoy attention. You possess these traits as well, but it takes time for you to discover them in yourself. Many people with their descendant in Leo enjoy being in the center of attention later in life. The seventh house in Leo indicates that you love being in the public eye.
Pisces Rising with Virgo Descendant- your personality is very dreamy and spiritual. You have a lot of compassion for others and you feel many things around you in a deep way. You can be in your subconscious most of the time. You can be hard to figure out because of the mysterious energy you give off. You can feel a lot of energies around you that are difficult to describe. Pisces Risings have a light aura and carry a pocket full of magic dust in their back pocket. The world can be difficult, but Pisces Risings know that creative joy can help them rise above. These folks have lived a life that requires extensive thought, and often they face experiences that are more than meets the eye. Pisces Risings have accepted that in many ways, life is what you make it—which is why they don’t hesitate to let the good times roll.
Virgo Descendant-You need someone to give you a shape in which you can exist in the physical world. People often perceive you as idealistic, gentle, soft-hearted, and they can feel that they have to protect you.You are attracted to people who are analytical, logical, intelligent, pay attention to the details. You hold the vision and your partner makes the plan and then executes it. In your ideal relationship, you help your partner connect with their soul and intuition, and they teach you how to be more practical and be better at things like running errands, preparing healthy food, time management, organization, taking care of yourself. In the relationship, you come up with an idea and your partner plans the details. One of the things you need to watch out for is giving up yourself for your partner. Pisces is soft, compassionate, and it is prone to people-pleasing. Unless there are some placements in your chart that make you more assertive, you can give in too easily and prioritize the needs of your partner even if it doesn’t feel right. Your intuition is probably strong as a Pisces rising, make sure you listen to it.

I am an air sun sign (Libra) and air is not my favorite element.
My fave is actually water (as my stellium, in Scorpio!)
Sun signs, please.
(we obviously know there is more nuance than this here, but I'm curious. I will answer for myself which is: I'm an earth sign and earth is my favorite element.)
Reblog for as big a sample size as possible.

Combining elements of your Vedic (sidereal) and Tropical (western) astrology charts.
Tumblr media
Accuracy is in the hands of the practitioner.
Combining elements of your Vedic and Tropical charts can help give a more in-depth understanding to your chart. Some people prefer Vedic, some prefer Tropical, some people like both. If you want to incorporate elements of both charts, here are some tips to get started.
Tumblr media
Understand the Key Differences
Zodiac System: Tropical astrology is based on the position of the Sun relative to the equinoxes and solstices, while Vedic astrology uses the fixed stars and the sidereal zodiac.
Ayanamsa: Vedic astrology accounts for the precession of the equinoxes with the ayanamsa, leading to a roughly 23-degree difference between the two systems.
Planetary Aspects and House Systems: Vedic astrology employs whole sign houses and has different rules for planetary aspects and strengths.
Identify Your Core Placements
Sun, Moon, and Ascendant: Compare the positions of these key placements in both charts. Note the differences and similarities in signs and houses.
Key Planets: Examine the positions of major planets like Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn in both charts.
House Systems: Vedic astrology typically uses whole sign houses, whereas Tropical astrology often uses Placidus or other house systems. Compare the house placements of planets to see how they influence different areas of life.
Nakshatras: Vedic astrology divides the zodiac into 27 nakshatras or lunar mansions, each with its own specific qualities. Incorporate the nakshatras of your Moon, Ascendant, and other key planets into your Tropical chart analysis to gain deeper insights.
Blend Interpretations
Character Traits: Integrate the traits described by both systems for your Sun, Moon, and Ascendant signs. For example, if your Tropical Sun is in Leo and your Vedic Sun is in Cancer, you might exhibit both Leo’s leadership qualities and Cancer’s nurturing tendencies.
House Emphasis: Consider the house placements of your planets in both systems to get a fuller picture of where the energies manifest in your life.
Harmonize the Elements and Modalities
Elements (Fire, Earth, Air, Water): Compare the balance of elements in both charts to understand your elemental makeup. If there's a discrepancy, you might need to balance these energies consciously.
Modalities (Cardinal, Fixed, Mutable): Assess the distribution of modalities to gain insight into your approaches to life’s challenges and opportunities.
Utilize the Sidereal and Tropical Zodiac Signs
Sidereal Accuracy: Use the sidereal positions for precise planetary positions, especially for predictive work.
Tropical Symbolism: Leverage the symbolic and seasonal relevance of the Tropical signs for psychological insights and personality traits.

Things that I have learned this weekend:
Almost nobody talking about AI right now understands how AI works or how to read a Terms of Service agreement.
Ai is absolutely terrifying and I suggest you don't use it since it is almost all propogated by stealing from other people. That part is true.
But every system that uses AI or offers AI is not stealing your data and feeding it to their AI. A lot of companies that are currently offering an AI option aren't creating their own AI, they are licensing from an existing AI made by a third party.
If their user agreement says that they don't share your data with third parties, they aren't using it to feed an AI because the AI they are associated with is a third party. (unless you want to believe their Terms of Services is not true...and let's be real here, that gets into conspiracy theory territory really damn quick)
If you don't want your work fed into an AI, there are a couple of things that you can do RIGHT NOW to stop that.
Set every single thing shared on a Meta platform (Insta, Facebook, Threads) to private. Their Terms of Service says they will feed PUBLIC content to their AI.
Stop using Cloud Storage and store everything on your own hard drive. Some cloud storage seems to be safer than others - Docs does scan your writing to improve its suggestions to you, for example. But Adobe says it scans ALL items on its cloud. They say it's to check for illegal content. What you do with that information is up to you.
Change your Tumblr settings so that Tumblr can't share with third parties - Tumblr is selling your data, but there's an opt-out button. This is by far the best I've seen out of any of the "major" media options online right now. Tumblr already protects our work from being crawled by AI which is far more than other platforms are doing.
Read the Terms of Service on any sites you use. Yeah, this sucks. But that's where you are going to find out the truth of things. There's a reasonable chance that I could be wrong about something, or that information may have changed since I wrote this. You are responsible for your own data and making your own decisions. If you don't understand the legalese, find a reputable (that part is important) source that explains it well. TikTok is not a reputable source.
Remember that anything you put out on the internet can be stolen or copied - this has always been the case. If you really want to keep it for yourself, you need to keep it off of the internet.

The 2nd house tells you the longevity of your first marriage ⏰💖💍
That’s because the 2nd house is 8 houses away from the 7th house. In Vedic astrology the 8th house not only rules death and rebirth but also longevity.
Here’s an example from my sidereal natal chart:
Tumblr media
I have the Moon in the 2nd house. This predicted that my first marriage would be very short because the Moon is the fastest moving planet. It only stays in a sign for 2-3 days. My first marriage lasted a whopping 10 months before I left him.
Side note: We shouldn’t have gotten married BUT I want to point out that we had been together for 12 years before getting married.
7th house lord is Saturn, the slowest moving planet that rules commitment = reason why we were together for 12 years
The fastest moving planet, the Moon, in the 2nd house = reason why the marriage only lasted 10 months
The 12th house is 6 houses away from the 7th house. In Vedic astrology the 6th house rules divorce because it is exactly 12 houses away from the 7th house (and the 12th house rules endings). My 12th house lord is the Moon, which is in the 2nd house = first marriage ending in divorce.
To find out about your second marriage, you count 8 houses away from the 2nd house = 9th house.
On Astro Seek change the “1st House from:” to the sign that rules your 3rd house. This will move your 9th house to the 7th house. You will then read this “new chart” to find out the characteristics of your second marriage, including the longevity of the marriage.
Tumblr media
This method works not only for marriages but also serious romantic relationships! If you find malefic planets in the “new” 2nd house that suggest the second marriage/relationship ending, you can then count 8 houses away from the “new” 2nd house, which will again lead to the 9th house. In this “new” chart the 9th house is actually the 11th house in your natal chart.
7th house = 1st marriage 9th house = 2nd marriage 11th house = 3rd marriage
2nd house = longevity of 1st marriage
4th house = longevity of 2nd marriage
6th house = longevity of 3rd marriage
If you have malefic planets in any of the above houses like:
Mars
Rahu/North Node
Ketu/South Node
Uranus
The 12th lord
The 6th lord
These would suggest that the first marriage/serious relationship will likely end in divorce/breakup. If Pluto is present, this would suggest the marriage ending in the death of either you or your spouse = “till death do us part” vibes. Notice I didn’t include Saturn, which is considered a “malefic” planet. But when it comes to relationships and marriage, Saturn represents commitment.
If you end up having the Moon in your 2nd house, don’t worry unless it’s the 12th or 6th house lord.
Leave a comment if you have any questions!
If you’re struggling to read your chart with this technique, I offer very in-depth Future Spouse readings that include a whole section on whether you have indicators in your natal chart and D9 Navamsa chart that suggest more than one marriage!

Energy Update: June 2024
Tumblr media
June is a "5" Universal Month [6 (June) + 8 (2024) = 14 = 1+5 =6] in an "8" Universal Year. 5 months tend to shake things up and carry some level of tension. Some adjustments may be in order. This aligns with the astrology of the month as we have a major shift of focus as the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter all leave the fixed sign of Taurus for mutable Gemini.
The Set Up
We begin the month with the Sun Venus and Jupiter in Gemini, Mercury and Uranus in Taurus, Mars in Aries, Saturn and Neptune in Pisces, and retrograde Pluto in Aquarius. By month's end, all our personal planets will change signs (Mars into Taurus and Mercury and Venus into Cancer), the Sun will enter Cancer, and Saturn will retrograde in Pisces.
The Nitty Gritty
We continue our month-long astrological lineup with a sequence of all planets stretching from Aquarius to Gemini. We are finally starting to move into new ground, symbolized by our personal planets finally transitioning out of the last quadrant of the horoscope wheel (notice those pesky outer planets still hanging out there), but something is holding us back. It's worth noting that while the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter will all chug away as trailblazers through Gemini this month, Pluto is working toward moving backward into Capricorn one last time.
If you're looking ahead, circle 9/1 on your calendar (the day Pluto enters Capricorn - it's gonna be a whopper) but for now, we just have to live in this in-between zone. With so many planets in Gemini, that shouldn't be particularly difficult as Gemini is nothing if not adaptable. (at times, perhaps, even pathologically so)
In a year made of ups and downs (8 years are the rollercoasters - they contain the whole gambet), we will find ourselves floating neither at the top nor the bottom of the ride. Maybe coasting is a better word. This isn't a bad thing - a lot has been going on and the aftermath of it demands some serious introspective and hopefully adjustments. The natural inquisitiveness of Gemini will likely keep things from being boring. But after some big bangers, June looks pretty...terrestrial?
That's a weird word to apply to a month ruled by mutable air and then cardinal water, but, here we are.
That's sort of it. We've been getting whopped by some major astrological conjunctions between the Big Hitters and our personal planets for the last two months. This can be seen as the hands of fate - or whatever you personally feel like calling the thing that is beyond us that seems to impact our lives - reaching down and having a good fuck around with our personal lives. It was a lot. If you can read these words, you've made it through - maybe some of you even got to beat the bad guys.
Take a moment to Breathe. June is not going to be like that, folks. If that shit is hitting the fan right now, it's strictly your own shit. That can feel worrying or freeing depending on your perspective. There's no judgment here, just note how that makes you feel. It's information about yourself and you can never have too much of that.
There are no non-lunar aspects on 6/1 (and honestly not even any interesting lunar ones, I checked) - that is just confirmation that this is a bit of a month off. Sure, there are some power days and a few days we should at least stay aware of. But if anything, we have a chance to get a bit jovial (Jupiter is in Gemini all month, let's talk big and worry about the consequences later) and enjoy life a bit.
Right now, our planets transiting Gemini will be in general alignment with Pluto by sextile and Chiron and the North Node by trine, but misaligned (square) to Saturn and Neptune in Pisces. The few days to watch out for are those Saturnian squares - those will always be the days to look out for. Gemini doesn't exactly ENJOY the consequences that Saturn brings to the table and is known for trying to lie their way out of a tough situation - that's the big thing to look out for this month.
Enjoy yourself but try not to shirk too much responsibility. By sign, Jupiter and Saturn will be square with one another all month and that always indicates some level of tension between our sense of enjoyment and our sense of responsibility. Saturn is preparing to retrograde as well.
Our Saturnian dates for the month are as follows: 6/8 Venus square Saturn, 6/9 Sun square Saturn, 6/12 Mercury square Saturn, 6/26 Mercury trine Saturn, 6/29 Saturn retrogrades We note the pattern here: Venus (emotion), Sun (self), and then Mercury (thought) twice over as our planet of Communication catches up with the Sun and Venus, and moves ahead of the pack. Whereas the hits from the last two months were from the otherworldly energies of Uranus, Chiron, and the Lunar Nodes - Saturn means business. Earthy business (Saturn rules the cardinal earth sign of Capricorn, after all). You may need to attend to the practical things in your life that got tossed aside as the world got so scrambled.
Gemini isn't known for their staying power. They would rather flit about doing this and that than commit to a single path. Remember to schedule free time to explore this month, but Saturn will certainly demand that you stop now and again to regroup, if not actually hold down a home base. This is going to be markedly easier for earth signs, fixed signs, and anybody with a strongly Saturnian chart.
The big flex of the month is being able to tell which days are for exploring versus which days need focus and attention and fluctuating between the two. Mutable signs or people with highly Mercurial charts will have an easier time with this half of things. Magic done to gain higher levels of discernment about which paths to choose may aid in this effort substantially - Mercury will be a good guide here.
The good days look really good (for perspective here: my Venus is in Gemini so I may be a bit biased). Gemini/Mercury days are always going to be good for adventure, information gathering, and communication of all kinds. Have a little fun with your life, play around a little. Be less serious and more inquisitive. Actively explore the other side of an issue, just for fun. The world is Gemini's oyster because Gemini knows that now is the only guaranteed moment. If you've wanted to become better acquainted with Mercury, Gemini's planetary ruler, this will be a very good time.
Gemini/Mercury days: 6/3 - Mercury enters Gemini (the absolute perfect day for a road opener, amiright?), 6/4 - Sun conjunct Venus 14° Gemini (playful love/playful emotions), and Mercury conjunct Jupiter (the best day for writers/speakers to do magic for inspiration for quite some time), 6/5 - New Moon 16° Gemini, 6/14 - Sun conjunct Mercury 24° Gemini (I think, therefore, I am)
Our new moon on 6/6 is at 16° Gemini and pulls in the energy of Venus through conjunction and Saturn by square. Its numerology is 3/6 [3 (Gemini moon) + 3 (Gemini Sun) = 6. and 6 (Geminin new moon) + 5 (June 2024) = 11 = 1+1 = 2.]. Both 3 and 6 are creative numbers which is echoed by Venus's involvement in this particular new moon - this will be a powerful day for creatives of all time to take positive actions (Saturn) towards their craft. Do some concrete magic and then put it into action.
Our full moon on 6/21 is one of the big power days of the entire year. As I have mentioned in past posts, 2024 is most auspicious money-wise in that it has two Capricorn New moons (one in January and one in December) and two Capricorn full moons (one in June and a second astrological blue moon in July). If you have money magic to do, this is the day to do so. This falls on a Friday so don't forget to include Venus in your planning if you're inclined towards planetary magic.
The numerology for this full moon is 4/9 [0 (Capricorn Moon) + 3 (Gemini Sun) = 13 = 1+3 = 4. And 4 (Capricorn full moon) + 5 (June 2024) = 9.] which supports structure and completion. This is a Capricornian moon, after all, it's about getting money into the bank where it can make more money. Don't think fast cash, think big results. This is the kind of energy that requires follow through, do with that what you will.
The energy shifts a lot as the Sun, Mercury, and Venus all enter Cancer. Welcome to the Summer season - we recognize the switchover from willy-nilly mutable Gemini to focused cardinal Cancer as the seasons shift. Now we've had our fun and it's time to get a bit more back into the grind. Our planets in Cancer will get along better with Saturn and Neptune than they did in Gemini (by trine) but will run into some crunchiness as they square off with the Lunar Nodes and Chiron.
Cancer is the midpoint of the axis between Aries and Libra where our lunar nodes still sit for a little bit longer. This is going to be a bit of a hit back to eclipse season and whatever has been coming up in your life around Independence/Togetherness. Mercury squares the nodes on 6/23, this may feel especially intense because Mercury was strongly involved in our total eclipse stellium during April while they were in retrograde. Try not to get too emotional (Mercury in Cancer) about what has already happened. Venus in Cancer follows suit on 6/26 - this last week of the month just may feel overly personal.
Sometimes (most times probably) we all take things more personally than they actually are. Cancer does this especially because they seem to carry their whole very emotional world around with them like a little snail house. Cry it out if you have to, but then put on your emotionally mature glasses and acknowledge what has nothing to do with you. Sometimes life sucks, sometimes bad things happen. Some things just aren't avoidable - no matter how much you worry, plan, or cast magic against them.
That's the big lesson of lunar node aspects: some things happen. All you can do is change how you react to them.
If it feels like a lot, know that you are right on time. Saturn is deep in its pre-shadow retrograde all month and the energy is likely to deepen as we move through the last dregs of June towards their retrograde on 6/29. There's likely going to be a heaviness to the air, possibly a sense of oppression. Saturn stations twice a year, this is business as usual, but it can feel hard to get through in the moment. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other and it will be July before you know it.

Elminx's Ritual Walkthrough: A Spell to
Remove Unwanted Things From Your Life
Tumblr media
Note: This ritual is my own creation - it combines the elements of a cleansing spell with cord-cutting. It also involves the basic concepts of sympathetic magic and some candle magic. Feel free to make it your own in any way that fits your personality and practice.
This is one of the most versatile spells in my repertoire - it can be used as a general all-purpose cleansing spell or specifically to target a particular problem you are currently experiencing. I am going to go through the basics of the spell first. The second section will involve how to adapt this spell to varying concerns. Its ingredients are meant to be simple and accessible - you can follow it as written or add more for flare. As always, I assume you will arrange your sacred space before you begin.
At its bare bones, this is a longer-lasting candle ritual of cleansing that involves strong elements of cord-cutting into the mix. You will be asked to actively attend to your candle every 30 minutes while your candle is lit. This is not optional - if you are not willing to do this, this is not the spell for you. A lot of the magic of this spell comes into play with the repetition of action - this is the MOST IMPORTANT element of this ritual, do not skip out on this step.
The Basic Ritual
You will Need:
1 Pillar Candle, preferably a figure candle* A fireproof bowl or tray Salt or Sand 1 or more Cleansing Herbs** A Cleansing oil, olive is fine (optional) A pair of scissors*** A stopwatch (the app of your phone is fine)
*This is especially true when you are new to this ritual. This candle is supposed to represent you and using a figure candle of your gender will reinforce this in your mind. I prefer to use the figure candles by Darknessvoid on Etsy, but any figure candle will do. Beeswax is best for this purpose because it has a long burn time which we want for this rituatl. For those of you who are nonbinary, I know that Madame Pamita sells nonbinary figure candles. Any pillar candle will do in a pinch just keep in mind that we WANT the candle to burn for a long time. I don't find the color of the candle to be important here (I use undyed beeswax) but you can add color magic here if you wish. **This should be a cleansing herb that you have a solid relationship with. I would suggest lemon, mint, sage, hyssop, or cedar as good options for this step but ultimately use what you have and feel comfortable with. For additional fire safety, use fresh herbs when applicable as they are less likely to ignite. ***I use regular old house scissors for this ritual. If you have a cutting device that is sanctified and important to your craft, use that. It does not have to be scissors, a knife or other cutting utensil will be fine
Set up your sacred space - this does not have to be fancy; do what feels right.
Prepare for A Long Burn, aka Candle Burning Safety - This is a long candle ritual - the longer your candle burns, the more effective the end results (in my experience). So we want to set up for candle safety - I do this by choosing a fire-safe plate and lining it with salt (you can use sand as an alternative). I place my candle in a safe space with nothing flammable nearby. Please follow your very best fire safety rules here.
Prepare your candle for burning - Take your pillar candle and become better acquainted with it. This candle is supposed to represent you; you may wish to carve your name and date of birth into the candle. Rub the candle over your entire body - focusing on problem areas (I'll go more into that below). If you do energy work, focus on pulling what you want to remove out of your body and into the candle. You can breathe into the face of the candle - whatever you have to do until you feel like the candle is a representation of you. This is an important step - take as long as you need to here. When this step feels complete, you can anoint your candle with a cleansing oil if you are using it (many traditions will call for holding the candle against your body and anointing the candle from the feet to the wick signifying that we are working on removal.) Place your candle in the center of your plate of salt/sand.
Sanctify or Empower Your Herb(s) - I will not go into details about how to do this because you should have a way that is already in your practice. The goal here is to somehow "wake up" the herbs and inform them of their role in this ritual. I like to arrange the herbs in an ascetic way around my candle, but do what works for you here. They just need to end up on the plate on top of the sand/salt. Keep in mind that dry herbs are quite flammable, so keep them farther away from the candle for fire safety.
Light your candle and begin the ritual - the goal of this ritual is to cut away any problems in your life every 1/2 hour while the candle is burning. The first cut should begin immediately after you have lit the candle and is the most important. I like to speak out loud as I make cuts around the candle with my scissors - I "name" each thing I am cutting as I focus on letting it go to exit my life. As I see it, there are five planes involved in a candle spell like this: to the left and right of the candle, in front of the candle, behind the candle, and above the candle. I was taught that the left side represents the past, the right the future, the back the mental realm, in front the physical realm, and above the spiritual realm. You do not need to use this format, but it can be a helpful way of thinking about WHERE to cut on the candle. Bring whatever is bothering you to mind, speak your intentions to remove it from your life, and then cut the air around the candle in the appropriate location. If you are good at energy work, you may be able to "find" the cord to cut, but it's okay if you can't do this. If something is feeling especially stuck, I sometimes cut the cords from around the candle and then from around my body. I am most likely to do this on the first cut.
Set Your Timer for 30 Minutes - You want to repeat the cutting part of the ritual every 30 minutes for as long as the candle burns. You may find that you are cutting at the same locations every time you return to this action, or you may find areas that need cutting that seem to be revealed as the ritual progresses. You can go with your intuition here or do divination on this subject - I wouldn't start divination for this until you've lit your candle and begun the ritual.
Take an action in your physical life to aid this spell - This is a great opportunity to take real-world steps that reflect the magic you are working on. You could cut your hair. You could clean your space. If you are removing a person from your life, this is the time to block them on social media if you have not done so already.
Rinse and Repeat - You should be cutting as part of this ritual for as long as your candle burns. It is okay to put out and relight your candle as needed; just make sure to burn it in half-hour increments. You could use numerology to your advantage here by burning the candle over nine days (nine is the number of completion). Doing this for the nine days leading up to a new moon would enhance the natural energy of this spell.
Finishing Touches - because this is a spell of removal, you want to clean up and discard any leftover elements of this spell as close to spell completion as possible. These items should be thrown away and I suggest doing so away from your house. I gather the items into a plastic bag and dispose of them in a public trash bin. If you can't do that for whatever reason, at least put them in the bin outside of your house.

How to Modify This Ritual
This ritual can be modified in any way that you can think of to remove something specific.
To Remove a Person From Your Life - To do a gentle cord cutting, repeat this ritual as written. Specify that you are cutting the ties that bind you and the person you want to remove during the cutting sections. Adding an herb like lavender that has a soft and calming domination element to it can aid in this effect. Here you might put your focus on the past, the future, and the physical sides of the candle.
If you need to forcibly remove a person from your life - add in some banishment herbs. If there is an air of obsession on either of your parts, cut in the mental realms as well.
Hexbreaking - this isn't in and of itself a hex-breaking ritual, but it can be used in conjunction with other magics to mollify some of the effects of baneful magic or the evil eye on your person. In this case, it is best to have a good idea of what effect the baneful magic is having and, from there, cut in the appropriate quadrant of the candle specifying "I am cutting away the baneful magic cast by xxx on my xxx". Add hex-breaking herbs to your ritual for this purpose.
Healing - I can't believe I have to say this, but magic cannot heal you of anything major, life-threatening, or chronic. But this spell is especially good at drawing out SYMPTOMS (I have used it to augment the treatment for my chronic illness and to help with colds and viruses in the past). On the step where you rub your candle over your body, focus on areas where you are symptomatic and draw the symptoms out of your body and into the candle. Add herbs that help you with these symptoms to this ritual.
For Help with Trauma - Please only do this if you have some handle on the trauma you have undergone. If you feel that there is a chance that thinking about the trauma may hurt you further, this is not a helpful ritual for you. When you are at a point where you understand your trauma well and wish to do a ritual to help release it, you can cut it away from your body as part of this ritual. It will help to understand where you are carrying the trauma - cut it away from your mental realm if you keep ruminating on it, or away from the belly of your candle if you carry it as stomach issues. You may need a buddy to be with while you attempt this sort of work; tread with care here.
For Intrusive Thoughts - Again, this ritual cannot cure you of intrusive thoughts, but it can help to manage them for a time. Rub the candle all over your head during step 3, focusing on pushing your intrusive thoughts out and into the head of the candle. During the cutting stage, focus on cutting in the mental realm.
I…could go on. If you need to remove it from your person, this ritual can be adapted for that purpose. If you have an idea in your head but don't know how to actualize it, feel free to send me an ask so I can spitball ideas with you.
A Few Final Thoughts
As humans, we tend to accumulate lots of stuff in our minds and in our bodies. This is a ritual that is designed, at its core, to separate out what is ours to carry forward from what we might just be carrying with us. This may not be the right ritual for you; if so, that is completely okay. You should never perform magic that doesn't feel right.
That said, keep in mind that when you clear out a lot of stuff, you can create a bit of a vacuum. Once whatever you want gone IS gone, you should take steps to protect yourself from its return. As always, I hope that this post was helpful. Do you like my work? You can support me by tipping me on KoFi or purchasing an astrology report written just for you.

the Chicken furthermore tries to convince you to practice sorcery in a fun and fulfilling way
There is a difference between practicing goal-oriented practical sorcery, and placing the entire value of your sorcery on whether or not you achieved the goal. One of these things is soul-crushing.
Practicing sorcery should be it's own reward. The actual steps you are performing should be stuff that you like, or thrills you, or captures your fascination. As an activity, practicing sorcery should be satisfying regardless of whether or not the spellwork manifests properly.
If the sorcery on your plate is not satisfying, compost it and return to the endless buffet and try a different type of sorcery.
If you do not have the things you need, your first step to a spell becomes innovation. What is the purpose of the thing in the spell, and how can it be replaced?
A spell can be cast with a length of string, or a paper and pen. Or with a bit of crayon. Or a dead fly. Or with just you.
Sorcerous knowledge tends to reveal itself when the clutter of correspondences is placed aside, so having few things to practice with is not a curse.
You do not need an interpersonal spiritual friendship with every single spirit you want to work with in magic. YOU DO NOT.
Interpersonal friend relationships with spirits should probably be reserved for very special spirits in your "inner court," the beings with which you choose to share your life and that you honor as teachers and guides.
Many spirits are pleased to assist with magic, but have no interest in getting to know us personally.
Imagine if everyone in your askbox wanted to ask you for help on something you're knowledgeable about, but instead of just asking for help, they first wanted to DM you for a few weeks to make sure you're comfortable with being asked for help, meanwhile on your correspondence chart pinned post it says "I can help with [topic]! Just ask!"
Asking spirits for help in magic is a good, valid way to start building a relationship with them.
Repeatedly calling on the same spirit or type of spirit over and over in spellwork is a fantastic way to deepen your relationship with them.
Working with a spirit in magic does not mean you are obligated to build a shrine to it, venerate it, talk to it outside of spellwork, or any of that.
Practicing sorcery is not the same thing as casting a spell. Practicing sorcery also means practicing the composite skills which come together to make a spell.
A spell is like a completed painting. But to make that painting, the artist needed several skills: the ability to sketch the scene, knowledge of how to apply and work with their paint, color theory, an understanding of how to render landscapes, and so forth. As a sorcerer, your skillset might be imbuing intent, raising energy, centering and grounding, practicing trance, practicing psychism or divination, etc. As you gain familiarity with these things, spells become less like an imposing stranger, and more like someone you're sure you've met before.
Practice can be it's own reward, but discipline is often required for progress.
Raising energy once a day, forever? I think not.
Raising energy once a day for seven days? Or, dedicating to doing it a total of ten times this month? Perhaps so.
An artist may not be in love with every single step of the process, and sometimes a sorcerer may have to get good at a skill that's not their favorite. But if no part of the process sparks joy, then something is wrong.
Sucking at something is the first step to being kind of good at something. Be reasonable with yourself: does the beginner artist doodle a landscape, then look at their work and declare that their art "doesn't work"?
Not every witch is talented at every sort of sorcery. Not creating a potent prosperity spell after five tries doesn't mean you're bad at magic. It might mean that your current understanding of prosperity magic precludes good results, or that you are casting on one very intransigent situation, or that your true talents lie in destruction and chaos instead of peaceful growth.
Set practice goals, give it an honest go, and move on when the time is right: "I am going to practice raising Fire energy and putting it into this stone using the Pore Breathing method. I'm going to do it fifteen times." (3 months later): "That sucked and it never worked, but I did it all fifteen times. Next I'm going to do a grounded roots visualization and use it to channel water energy to cleanse my room." (10 days later): "That was awesome, I want to do it more than 15 times."
Play around and be silly with it. Taking your path seriously is not the same thing as taking your path somberly.
Sports teams practice drills to be ready for game day. Sorcerers are wise to take a page from their book, because when real-life game day arrives, it feels much better to deal with it when you know you've been having pretty good success with channeling water energies, so maybe it's best to do something with that, because you can't move fire for dick.

. Animista e Politeista;
. Devota della dea Morrigan e Cernunnos;
. Lavoro con diverse divinità di differenti Pantheon;
. Ho diverse doti psichiche, che uso in concomitanza con diversi metodi divinatori (cartomanzia, pendolo, rune e in futuro conto di ampliare con dadi, kipper e altro ancora!);
. Neurodivergente (Adhd) e persona altamente sensibile;

I am going to be very active on Buy Me a Coffee, with lots of new things, from now on!
At the moment I am bringing my paid services there, but in the next few days I plan to implement free pick a pile with intuitive readings, and other little games too!
I will have a membership space as well, in which I plan to bring translations from English to Italian and Italian to English, of different things (it's just one of the perks! you will find).
Yes! It will be mostly a bilingual community, a thing I will do here, as well, to reach this goal, I will try to use the hashtags as much as possible, in the most accurate way too.
If you are following me here, I would like to suggest you to bookmark my page, and, if you feel like it, get the news out, it would help me a lot (thank you ❤️)
