I am a simple woman who enjoys watching SRQ realize he's been clowned. And drunk Cui Yulang and exasperated Li Rong passing back & forth messages

Every time he brushes back a tendril of hair, I can hear her from the novel, "Be normal!"

They kept it! So I can be a softy and I admit was a bit charmed by this minor character when LR shared her view of someone with talent and perhaps desire to be of use, but who in her life never accomplished anything... and then he stops pretending to be a shallow pretty face for a moment to confess the real reason he wants to work for her is simply that he thinks she cares about people. I was disarmed by the way he doesn't think she'll believe that - but she immediately does (how few people have believed that about her, how few people have taken him seriously)

They even included PWX's petty ass fucking with the carriage 😭

Oh pleaaaaseeeeee Cui Yulang trying to come up with complaints about Li Chuan and everyone is like ?? ?? 😭😭😭

MY BODY IS READYYYYY for Li Rong digging a big pit with spikes and convincing Consort Ruo to enthusiastically jump in

Please don't let me down drama, I want that whole scheme!

For once the Su Rongqing and Li Rong scene actually worked for me. I did feel that moment where she bluntly references that this battle is heading in 1 direction: one of them will fall. We can see the blow hit both them. SRQ has been stubbornly in denial that this fight is against her faction but he's not taking her down - not truly. Not this time. But she just ripped all pretense away.

(this is where the story gets me to care about their dynamic. not as a love triangle, which it never really has been. but as 2 broken things that used to huddle in the dark to keep warm, now with a new chance in the light... and this is what they're going to do with it? fight to the death? it's sad.)

My darling Pei Wenxuan has not actually lost in brains from jealousy. Good for him.

(In the novel during this time he's secretly plotting shit about the exams and hiding it from LR, because of the whole 'we used to be the leaders of 2 competing factions in the last life' thing that LR was originally concerned about but then the glow of love made her stop being concerned about it, but guess!! what!!)

(I'm 98% sure they are gonna simplify that conflict.)

Most of anything antagonistic is them having the frenemy dynamic of calling each other 'bitch' and making dumb jabs at each other or being petty like a game of tag LMAO

I have very little experience in building frenemy relationships like that??? But I am willing to try and learn because they're some of the BEST relationships and I've only ever had that success ONCE on a different character (because both characters were genuine enemies at one point and it snowballed and developed from there)

Regarding actual bonding though? I think somewhere along the way, that's gonna have to come from either of their walls being pierced or brought down for one reason or another! Also probably means Marg will have to 'know' what Coyote is. Both wanna be the weird mysterious friend but we both know they can't have that luxury skjdfsjd

Oh yeah and if Coyote ever wants help with something/someone, Marg will be [reluctantly] willing to help :3

I don't know which of them is the bad influence, that feels like something in the same realm as "who's holding the brain cell at any given moment" x'D

Hi, i read this ask and wanted to chip in a lil bit to what you already mentioned. First off, the people who ship Jikook or think they are a couple do that for very different reasons. Some of these reasons may depend on personal life experiences, environment, mentality, the people around them and what they are exposed to. So how they generally perceive Jikook depend on some of the examples mentioned and many more. What i have noticed alot is that, so many pple, use normal circumstances as a yardstick to measure Jikook forgetting that these boys are NOT in normal circumstances. By normal circumstances i mean a queer couple who are out and about and everyone knows they are together. But this is not Jikook is it? If jikookers are right and Jimin and Jk are indeed a couple, then they are world famous stars, who happen to live in a homophobic country and who have alot to lose if their relationship is made known to the world. Jimin and Jk don’t have only them selves to think about. They have their friends, family, loved ones, the other members and the band as a whole to worry about. If they are together, you should expect alot of complicated feelings and or actions from them both cuz again, they are NOT in normal circumstances. Expecting everything to always make sense with Jikook is really unrealistic and i’ll tell you why. There could be a time when they seem off with each other or when they don’t smile at each other alot, or when they seem distant or when they don’t act the way a couple would act, or when they say or do things that could debunk them being a couple. Now for most shipper who do not consider that Jimin and Jk are not in a very simple position, all the above will most likely make them isecure in their faith in Jikook and they would start doubting if jikook are actually a couple. This reasoning alone is flawed because eveh with couples who are in normal circumstances, it is not always honey and milk with them. Couples go through difficult times, breaks, petty moments, moment when they don’t like each other and even moments when they are dealing with external factors that may or may not affect their relationship. So how then do you expect Jikook to always make sense? You don’t know when they fight or when they break up, or when they have other things to worry about or when the circumstances of their relationship weighs down on them. You just don’t know this, now do you? So expecting everything to always fall in place is not realistic at all.

While so many pple believe in jikook cuz of the flirty, sweet and heart tugging moments, I personally believe that Jikook are together because of their complicated dynamic. With the other members, lets say taekook for example, i could never believe those two were together because when u look at their dynamic, it is pretty easy to understand. There are no complicated feelings. There are no moments that are difficult to watch with them. It’s always or mostly good bro/friend vibes. The care for each other, support each other as much as they can and most importantly, there is the complete absence of PANIC! With Jikook on the other hand, it’s a roller coaster of emotions watching them. There are moments you get upset, angry, frustrated, heartbroken, happy, emotional etc. and this right here is how i know that they have a relationship that is completely different from the rest. These are real pple who live real lives. Their story is not supposed to always make sense when you only know a bit if it. Think about your personal relationship. Are you always lovey dovey with your partner? Do u always smile at them? Aren’t there moments when y’all are petty to each other? Aren’t there moments when u have to navigate difficult feelings? Aren’t there moments you don’t like each other? If this is normal in your relationship and the relationship of your parents probably, why do u think Jikook’s relationship has to always be milk and honey? Why do u think they are moments when u see them clearly holding back? Why do u think there are moments when Jk looks uneasy with Jimin’s touch? Or when he even avoids them or ignore Jimin? Did u ask yourself why? Have u ever seen Jk behave like this with anyone else? Why is it just Jimin? Have u asked yourself why Jk who isn’t good at concentration on things he doesn’t like, can sit down and concentrate on Jimin content for hours? Why does he bring up Jimin any chance he gets? Yes he brings up other members too, but you know damn well he doesn’t talk about any other member half as much as he does Jimin. And it’s not just talking but even the way he watches Jimin content and does things for him he just doesn’t do for anyone else? Did u ask yourself why? It’s not about flirting. It’s about the exclusivity and how Jimin clearly is special to Jk yet sometimes when you see them together especially since chapter two, they look distant. It looks like they are scared to be too close to each other especially Jk. Jk can sit home and watch Jimin content to his hearts content but the moment he is infront of Jimin, he acts really weird! Did u ask yourself why? Doesn’t it look to you like they are trying so hard to act normal around each other especially in public that they just end up looking really awkward? Why would Jk speak so fondly of Jimin on Lives but looks really awkward when he is with him in person? Why? Jk can hang around Tae as much as he like, he can openly share cars with him and all because there are no complicated feelings there. They are friends and that’s all. But with Jimin, it’s a completely different story. Here, there are deeper and more complicated feelings than with anyone else. Also, Jikook would not always say or do things that match the shipping narrative cuz they have to protect themselves and what they have. They will omit, embellish, or even lie if they have to, to protect themselves and keep what they have private till they are ready to let the world know. Don’t expect Jikook to tell u they see each other often! Don’t expect Jimin to tell u, yes Jk cooked ramen for him or for Jk to tell u what he did with Jimin in newyork. They won’t. We all know Jimin was in NYC with Jk when he made his solo debut. Till today, those two never acknowledged even seeing or being with each other everyday even tho we know for a fact that they were together almost everyday as they were always sighted. But look how quick he acknowledged V going to support him but never said a word about Jimin being in NYC. Why do u think that is? Do u honestly believe Jk would have been that silent if it was ANY other member

I agree with you.

I've said this before. Jikook doesn't follow a friendship pattern.

A friendship pattern being you and someone else are close, you drift apart, then maybe down the road you get close again and that's it. No need for passive aggressiveness, grand gestures, tokens of love, longing stares, intimacy, intense things to try to get your friend back. Like Tae and Jungkook or Jimin and Jin.

But with jikook, ever since 2015, when I believe things started to get physical between them, there have been lots of lows and highs, them being close then being distanced just enough so they can continue seeking each other. Jikook doesn't follow a friendship pattern. What they follow is hard to follow lol

To me, that makes them real. It's not about the physical sexual stuff, or flirty on screen vibes, but the intimacy or lack of it and what seems, to me, their desire for it.

It's funny seeing Jere teary-eyed because the actor dude is using his mouth as a way to get him to the emotion and it's so clear.

"It's just been a weird day" because you made it weird.

"I think love has different seasons" jesus christ.

I don't know Belly, I feel like getting drunk on a beach and screaming about how you'd fight for him if you knew he cared about you is a pretty clear indicator that you're not over everything.

XO is wasted on these two.

They want me to believe it's this

and it's not because Belly's voiceover doesn't make sense. She just came back from choosing Jere so Conrad being like "I just wanted to screw up what you and Jere had,but I won't get in between you two anymore" shouldn't made her think "he gives and then takes away" because what is he giving here if she doesn't want him? She can be mad because he's making it seem like he was trying to fuck with her emotions and confuse her and can be like that's really messed up, Conrad, but now being like "I evict you from my heart" after she already chose jere actually makes her seem like an asshole to Jere because it sounds like she didn't REALLY choose him if she hadn't done that before kissing him.

Oh look a Taylor Swift song.

And he's alone and sad and sliding down a wall. Sad face.

*Yakuza verse. I die for not only the Romeo and Romeo stories between rival families but also the fine line between a best bro and a boyfriend. That confusing transition neither can understand completely, but in the end they just want to stay at each others side despite what their families are doing.

ok so i DO ship Yuji and Megumi, I love their dynamic in the manga and how quickly they became friends and faithful comrades, having each others back and wanting to see to it that the other will be alive, if they can’t be safe. For romance, I feel like they have the kind of friendship that could easily slip into the subtlety of love that neither understands, but doesn’t do anything to stop it. There must be this moment of realization. Constantly in danger and constantly slipping into ‘he’s going to die’, ‘but he’s going to die being loved’. Definitely slow burn.

But no matter what, Megumi is always Yuji’s ride or die and I love their potential so much!! Their opposite personalities mash like puzzle pieces and I just!! See SO MUCH!!!
