Can we talk about what an ass song 'beautiful ghosts' was? Like, I totally get why it was there, Cats was intended to be an Oscar bait movie and they wanted a nomination for original song and of course T Swift is big.

It's basically written as a companion song to Memory. I shit you not, I cannot remember what the fuck BG even sounded like. But, like, how are you going to compete with the POWER BALLAD that is Memory, every lyric is iconic. And the whole basis of BG is: 'oh hey, you feel bad about once being in the 'in' crowd and wanted and now you're life has completely declined and you're hated but at least u were happy at one point, I'm not happy at all :('

IDK, making a 'main character' for Cats was a huge mistake. It's a show about cats and thats all it was ever supposed to be.

Finding it absolutely hilarious that maybe a week before the release I was seeing this news article freaking out because "Beetlejuice and Lydia?! Together?! Can you believe some people support this?! Gross!!!!"

And now we have an entire movie proving he's never stopped pining for her, official accounts toting it as a love story, and Winona Ryder - Lydia Deetz herself - saying she's Team Beetlebabes all the way.

So theres an arc I have where 4 becomes the new captain while 3s down after the Biggest Run, right. The Cap4 arc focuses on 4s efforts to investigate the strange changes happening to the salmonid migration patterns via infiltrating Grizzco.

Epic the musical’s songs are one HELL of a way to tell the tale, even if its not one to one!! Since the Wisdom saga releases in 3 days Im going to be drawing up one scene per song and how it would play out in the Cap4 arc :)

mmmm musical cultivator shen yuan again. Feng Xuanlu, the Wind Song. He has this well-loved wooden pipe he inherited from is adoptive father that he uses on occasion. When the traveling day gets slow and he doesn't feel like singing, when he's stressed, when night falls and he's sitting around a fire with his troupe and they've all had a little bit to drink.

His hair is long and black, always tied up into a ponytail or a braid of some sort. When he's in camp he loosens it up until its splayed messily over his shoulder. He has crows feet around his eyes that scrunch up when he smiles. His eyes are bamboo green and his hands are rough and callused from years of plucking strings and work. He has scars on his back that he won't explain the origins of.

His voice is low and warm like a fire, it gets raspy in the mornings or when he's been humming or singing for too long. He speaks like there's sunshine dripping off his tongue. He speaks soft, he speaks and his voice takes up the entire room. He's spent over a decade hearing his praises getting sung and he still gets shy over it sometimes.

Whenever he goes into town he has to have at least three other musicians with him at all times -- not his decision of course, but the unanimous choice of his companions. Shen Yuan gathers admirers everywhere he goes, and his companions have long since learned that their dear friend and leader is completely unaware of it. So they have to beat off these suitors with sticks.

ive seen the musical ride the cyclone about a billion and one times- if there is something better on this earth than kholby wardell playing noel gruber, the tragic, romantic gay man, then i dont even wanna hear about it. i tried to go as him last year for halloween, but i'd always chicken out, and id go as something like... ms argentina... BUT in my heart i was nOEL GRUBER DRESSED UP AS MS ARGENTINA!! and that was always my halloween costume's SUBTEXT.

Something about how Fire & Ice give up on going after Pearl directly, and instead both arrow in on dissing Marina-

Something about, Pearl having no shame at all, outright telling Frye right off that Off the Hook is here to “take control” and then literally talking over Frye’s turn. Frye’s snarking on how Pearl isn’t the boss here and no one’s cheering for her, ignored. How she goes after both Frye and Shiver asking where Frye’s big friend is to help her pass this test, moving right on to saying they’re both just goons making a mess anyway, little fish who should stay in they're bowl, but

that seems to give Frye the idea of hitting back with the “who’s backing you? Imaginary friends?” line… like Marina doesn’t even count as a music partner- or a friend?

Pearl literally yaps about Marina being divine, one of a kind, voice so fine, big mind- raps the lines off her cuff and the heart that's proudly pinned there

And Frye and Shiver go TARGET DETECTED. They lock onto Marina.

Shiver doesn’t bother trying to needle Marina about Pearl, the way their partners were each doing- if Pearl has no shame then at least she DOES still have a weakness, a soft spot, a thing she openly cares about- something they can try riling her up over

(problem: Pearl actually has all the confidence in Marina as a musician, partner, and performer. She's WATCHED Marina be all those things for YEARS now)

In the end Frye and Shiver just rile up the gay feels. Because Marina’s been living with a rapper who LOVES hyping her up even when they’re not on stage- Pearl who said she’d cut a fish for Marina. And if you don’t come to Inkopolis with a lot of self confidence, well then getting some from your girlfriend is fine too  

But it’s cute that Pearl’s still so obvious about being Marina's no. 1 fan that Fire & Ice thought they could use it against her XD
