What is working with Odysseus like? Has anything changed with the reamergance of epic the musical; does he enjoy it or find it a bit odd?

I havent seen anyone worshipping him, and I'm curious lol

I can’t say if anything’s specifically changed with him post-epic since I only started worshipping him after it already existed. I do think it has influenced more people to worship him. I was a Hellenic Polytheist before I got into EPIC but I didn’t worship Odysseus specifically at that point.

I think he does like it! I have a couple of EPIC songs in my devotional playlist to him, and other people I know who also worship him have said he seems to like it and finds our reactions to the new sagas and such to be entertaining/amusing, which I think is pretty accurate to my own experience too.

Of course for people who worship/plan to worship Odysseus I do strongly recommend reading at least the Odyssey, if not the Iliad as well. EPIC is great but it’s largely inaccurate (and that’s okay! It’s not trying to be the exact same!) and I haven’t gotten to read the Odyssey yet but I’m making my way through the Iliad. So you don’t need to necessarily wait but you should plan to read it. It could even be a devotional act!

But yeah, overall I think he enjoys EPIC and doesn’t, as far as I can tell, have any issues with it. Actually I think he also uses it to communicate with us sometimes because me and my sister were listening to EPIC on shuffle once and we were talking over it, but my sister was like ‘agh, my knee..’ and then the lyric in mutiny where Odysseus says “agh, my head..” played. I can’t tell if he’s trying to be like ‘yes I understand your pain. Solidarity.’ Or if he’s trying to make fun of us, but either way, we loved that

That is such an adorable mental image. Horoa's hunters are huge by nature, so we either have an oversized kitten or the normal size and shes being carried like a lion cub by a massive hunter.

I was so tense going into this chapter, wondering who exactly was going to die. Especially after Frostfur and Swifttail ran out into the forest too! I didn’t expect Ashpaw to die, though. I think I read the scene too fast and actually assumed it was Swifttail who had been killed near Brightpaw at first? Which meant my heart dropped when I realized who it actually was.

But also, in half?!?! 😭 The dogs literally ripped him in half?! They had to carry his halves home separately…my heart is breaking imagining Aspenpaw and the others seeing Ravenwing come into camp seemingly carrying Ashpaw, and they think maybe he’s alive but hurt for the split second before they realize it’s *his front half* that Ravenwing’s carrying.

I feel so bad for everyone involved. I hope Brightpaw survives, though if she does she’s probably going to have some really bad survivor’s guilt. Not to mention how Aspenpaw’s going to feel!

There no way Swifttail is living through this one…though actually Graystripe could die too/instead…and maybe other people too! …I’m glad they found Frostfur, though!

I like the idea that Cross realised Killer was touchstarved (he didn't have the words for it but he noticed how much Killer would settle down from it) and started giving him very small basic affection. Pat on the back, hand on the shoulder, maybe a quick friendly hug, all things he probably learned through royal guard training and thinks of as normal friend/coworker stuff.

But as they both got more comfortable in the routine of it, Killer started instigating touches and he was not shy about it (like not just leaning into Cross's side during movie night, he looks like he's trying to get into Cross's jacket with him)

And that this more intense affection made Cross realise he might also be just a little bit touchstarved
